About this Episode

Mike and Michael discuss two Phineas and Ferb episodes from their 104-day summer coverage. In "Got Game," Phineas and Ferb create the F Games to settle a debate between Isabella and Buford about whether boys or girls are better, while Dr. Doof's Misbehavinator causes chaos. In "Comet Chameleon," the family prepares to watch a rare comet, but Doof steals all the steaks in the Tri-State Area, and Candace encounters Susie Johnson leading to the popular "Squirrels in My Pants" song.

Women and children in the faint of heart may

wish to leave now. Always look on the wiki, huh?

Hey, it's not regular Wikipedia. It's Phineas

and Ferb Wikipedia. It's better. It's the Phineas

and Ferbopedia. That's right. I'm Phineas Flynn

and I'll be your announcer for today's action,

along with our color commentator, Grandpa Clyde.

Yellow, green, blue! Excellent color, Grandpa.

Glad to oblige. Puse ribbon for anti -disestablishmentarianitarianism.

P .U .S .E. ribbon. I have no idea what this

means. I can finally take off this P .U .S .E.

ribbon. Yeah, I really should have watched these

today. I'm a terrible person. P .U .S .E. is

a dark red or purple brown color. A brownish

purple or a dark reddish brown. The funny thing,

the etymology of the word according to the regular

Wikipedia, which I know you hate, but hey. Puce

is the French word for flea. That makes perfect

sense. Glad you've researched this. You understand

what's going on. The Oxford English Dictionary

dates the first English use of Puce as a color

to 1787. I did not look that up. You know, everyone

always says, oh, he's puking green while there's

a puce green color? Puce. It's puking puce. The

phrase puce green, which dates back to at least

1810 when green tea was described as being puce

green in color. This phrase is still found today

in the UK and the US where it means a rather

unattractive pea soup color. It's like exorcist

vomit color. Essentially, yes. It's going to

turn your head circle. That's right Hello and

welcome to episode 25 day 25 of Palka the podcast

organization without a cool acronym brought to

you by the geek cast or radio network I am Mario

Steve join Mike and join me is speaking on quote

Michael. Hello. Hey, how's it going? It's going

and we are 25 days into this 104 day journey

Summer hundred so many for what? No, I said a

hundred and four. Oh 24 that's a lot. No, not

adding additional 20 podcasts of this effort.

No, I Don't even think I don't even know how

we could get an additional 20 podcasts out of

this Me neither. Too bad they never made that

live action movie. Anyone will actually thank

God they never made that live action movie. Anyway.

We could make a couple episodes about me talking

about meeting Phineas and Ferb in Disney World.

Oh, we'll do that in the Grand Finale in episode

104. 104 is probably going to be our biggest

episode, because we've got several episodes of

the show still left to review in that episode.

Plus, we've got whatever feedback we're going

to get. All that's going to be in there. We're

going to do countdowns of the overall series

for songs, for episodes. Episode 104 is going

to be big. Episode 104, I can tell you right

now, folks, is not going to be under an hour.

We try to keep these episodes under an hour,

hell, under 45 minutes at the time. And episode

104, the grand finale, I guarantee it's going

to at least be two hours. At least. All right.

Even with editing. Awesome. So day 25, Phineas

and Ferb. But guess organizational cool acronym.

We have got game and comet chameleon today So

we're gonna get we're gonna get game after this

Feel the wrath of Buford don't bring that smack

talk around here. This is my house. Technically.

It's our garage She's on a roll. No girl has

ever beaten Buford watch and learn It takes a

highly trained eye and a quick wrist to score

like that Buford Hey, I wasn't ready Stacy, what

am I going to do? Jeremy's coming over to take

my picture for his photo class. So what's the...

Oh. Yeah, you think he'll notice? This is the

worst bad hair day ever. I'm officially freaking

out. I'll call and cancel. No, wait. Just wear

a hat. Yeah, a hat. How's this? Well, your hair

looks better. Yeah, but the strap is cutting

off my... I'm gonna need something stronger.

Alright, this is the tiebreaker. I thought the

last two were. Not this one. Tell you what I'm

gonna do, Buford. I'm gonna take this ball and

I'm gonna hit it into your goal in one shot.

Oh, is that right? Absolutely. And you wanna

know the funny part? There's nothing you can

do about it. Bring it. You missed. Wait for it.

What about this? Foozing Isabella you guys are

making such a racket that I can't focus and I

need time to fix my hair cuz when Jeremy gets

here I don't want to be wearing this stupid you

look sporty oh you like it well that's perfect

a sports shoot well that didn't really count

cuz it's just a dainty little girls game it could

be the biggest game in the world and girls could

still be boys biggest game in the world did you

get that Phineas yeah we're on it Ferb I know

we're gonna do today great boys against girls

and to give you a fair shot i'll even take shrimpy

here i am honored first up today is he got game

the denzel what no wait no that's not right that's

that's not right at all that's not the right

one that's live action that's that's denzel denzel

was never in phineas in front but we got got

game this is uh one of the final episodes of

season one actually and i know we're i know i've

said in the past twenty four episodes that we're

watching i'm specifically watching these on netflix

i do have another source that i could actually

watch them in order which as i mentioned in episode

twenty three of the podcast that unfair science

fair was the actual season finale technically

these are not Season finale is how we're watching

them. They're still episodes and whatever but

got game Because Isabella and Buford's arguments

about boys being better than girls and vice versa

Phineas and firm create the F games to find out

who's better boys or girls Meanwhile agent P

Stops dr. Dufresch Schmertz's plan to win a dog

show Still not Trying to take over the dry state

area. Not taking over. Well, he is resolving

certain problems from his past. Yeah. Backstory

resolving, evilness diminishing is not happening

yet. He's got a lot of backstory. Yeah. Toof

has got back. So mix -a -lot, that's a new song

for you. Exactly. Oh, stop it. All right. Moving

right along. I'm not gonna fall down that hole

today. Okay, so, well, you brought it up and

I gotta bring it up again. This happened earlier

in the summer here, where I said there was one

episode, I forget which one it was. Oh, you were

making your... George R. Martin reference of

Blank Space. And I equated it to the Taylor Swift

song. And after I, because every now and then

in the production of the podcast, as I'm editing

or as I'm doing things with getting the show

online, I will tweet stuff. And various people

who like Ryan Mead and Andrew Acuna and all those

guys that have taken notice of the show at this

point will message me back. And one of them actually

pointed out that Dr. Doof actually did like a

Taylor Swift song at one point or another. It's

not in the show, but it was something that happened

on Disney Channel. I don't even know what it

was. I'll have to find it later. Anyway, got

game. One of Candice's bad hair days. That's

a recurring theme I think yeah, this is the worst

hair day ever I Do love that what I love about

Candice is when she's in her room talking to

Stacey Either she's doing something with her

hair or she's trying on outfits or she's doing

traditional things pre -teen, early teen girls

do, I guess, I don't know. And they turn it into

such a joke, like the one where she's like, oh,

maybe I should wear a hat. And Stacey's like,

oh yeah, that looks good. Yeah, but the strap

is cutting off my shirt. I'm like, oh my god.

So there's that. Isabella versus Buford. That's

just hilarious. And this is probably the most

I don't want to say in your face, but that's

really all I can think of for Isabella that she

has been as far as her character goes. Yeah,

she's really confident against Buford. Don't

get me wrong. She's she's, you know, not just,

you know, blowing smoke at the at the at the

kid. But I mean, she's very aggressive. Yes,

yes, yes, I don't want to say uncharacteristically

aggressive because you know she's got a Competitive

streak I guess but yeah everybody's got a dark

side at some point or another Biggest game in

the world did you get that Michael it is big?

Yes, it was very big You know it is not big.

What's up Al Jit? His role is very minimal in

this. He picks Shrimpy. Shrimpy is honored to

be chosen first. I am honored! I thought that

was funny. This is, you know, this relationship

between Buford and Beljeet that just evolves

over time and it's uh, you know, clearly not

a healthy relationship, but it's always funny.

Yeah. It especially gets even more funny when

we get to the episode. I believe it's called

Bully Bromance Breakup. I think that's what it's

called. I could be wrong, but Buford does something

and Baljeet just loses it and basically breaks

up with the guy and Buford then tries to hire

a new kid to bully. Bully somebody else. Yeah,

and it's just... It's just so funny, so we'll

get to that. So we got Candice and Isabella versus

Buford and Baljeet. Girls versus boys. Yeah.

And what I love about Isabella and Buford, how

they pretty much abuse Candice and Baljeet, you

know, at one point. Baljeet's like, this is not

the best way to block a shot. Clearly, clearly

I was wrong. That's right. Use your head. Yeah.

And at the end, Candice is like, Isabella, I

have feet too, you know. Well, it's funny, though,

is throughout these games, I was just lost and

confused. Really? Well, at one point, I'm just

thinking, what the hell am I watching? They have

this pantomime horse badminton rubber chicken

on roller skates. Okay. All right, you know,

I don't follow sports. I have a hard enough time

just trying to figure out what's going on watching

my kids play baseball. But this was completely

off the wall. I have, you know, crazy. I have

no idea what I'm watching. And it gets to the

point where the score, the score is the square

root of pi versus a crudely drawn duck. Crudely

drawn picture of a duck. It's kind of like, think

of it this way. The F games, especially when

it comes to the foosball score, it's kind of

like whose line is it anyway? The points don't

matter and everything's made up. Essentially.

Out of all the Phineas and Ferb soundtracks,

there are several songs from the series that

are not on any of the currently released soundtracks.

F Games is one of them. Oh my god, if I could

get a clean version of F Games, I would absolutely

love it. I love that. I don't know why, but I

just love that song. I'm surprised that we don't

know somebody who knows somebody who is somehow

tied to the production of this who could get

us a clean copy. We'll see. One of these days

in the future. Cross your fingers. Yeah. Once

Xavier Onassis invents a time machine. Okay.

So at this point, we're at day 25 here in the

104 days of summer on the podcast. Have we talked

about the backstory or? Not yet. I haven't gotten

to doof yet. Okay, good. All right. I was afraid

you were going to progress onto the next story.

No, no, no. Wait a minute now. Slow your roll,

brother. Well, still, yeah. So far, out of all

the songs we've heard to this point, I can clearly

say for Season 1, F Games is my favorite one.

Really? It kind of reminds me of Queen's We Will

Rock You a Little Bit. Okay, yeah, I'll buy that.

Alright, for a dollar. Well, you know, maybe

a dollar and a half. It was right tree 50 and

Dr. Doofenshmirtz first of all, I did screen

cap this and I put it on Facebook and Twitter

Okay when he opens the entrance The please use

alternate entrance and poor Perry has to walk

down All these stairs and then he has to walk

up them again. Oh my god Crazy. Takes a little

bit of work. Hmm. I like the backstory. Only

son, the puppy. Oh, yeah. His father names names

the dog only son, which is true. I mean, it's

funny when you think, oh, well, you know, doofenshmirtz,

his father kind of disowns him and only pays

attention to the dog. But they also forget about

Roger. I mean, I thought Roger was an older brother.

Yeah, he yeah, it's it's always with the back

stories The doofenshmirtz family tree is always

kind of inconsistent. Yeah, sometimes mention

Roger. Sometimes they don't Kind of funny. It's

kind of strange. Yeah It was I liked it. I mean

Because they have this this whole long story

about this this dog who gets more attention and

love from the father than he does Mm -hmm, and

then he goes on to say and then he made me the

lawn gnome. Oh, you've heard that backstory haven't

you? Only son didn't have to be the lawn gnome

So doof goes to the pet store and picks up the

weirdest looking platter dog ever Like I know

doofs kind of a bumbler, but seriously, how does

he not know that's a platypus not a dog? You

know what's funny is this to me kind of parallels

the story about when Phineas and Ferb went to

the pet store to pick out their pet. Right, which

we won't actually get that until we get to second

dimension, but yeah. Yeah, you're right, because

that's the exact thing I was thinking. I was

thinking, oh, there's going to be Carl in an

African -American lady suit. That's right. And

no, apparently not. There's some white chick

in there, and she says, sir, I'm not sure that's

actually a dog. I get a big alimony check, so

money's no object. Oh, in that case, he's $10

,000. And again. He says, sure. I got a huge

alimony check. You just cash it in. That's funny.

So he creates the misbehavinator. It turns all

the other dogs evil. Yes, every parent's nightmare.

Oh, I wouldn't say evil so much as Mischievous.

Yeah, it just makes them misbehave. Yeah, okay

Although an evil inator would be kind of cool.

I Think that comes in a play later probably It

does with carl there's there's anyway, yeah,

I was gonna say My boys and I just watched the

Star Wars episode that has the evil inator that

turns Ferb into a Sith Lord. At least nobody

got turned into a Sith Lord this time. Yeah,

so this time. Could be worse. Although somebody

did get turned into a kebab. Yeah. This was the

first time, the first episode that I remember

hearing it. and I've used it ever since, because

obviously, as we've said in the last 24 days,

we've seen all these episodes so many times,

but I remember when I first saw this episode,

where Buford's like, quiet you, Valjeet says

something, I said quiet you, I use that all the

time. I think you do, actually. I do? Yeah. What

else did you like about this one? Firm has a

fruit cannon. Yeah fruit level I Liked like Candice.

I feel like a kebab and Baljeet says I to suddenly

feel like no, what do you say? I I feel a sudden

element of kebab ism Yeah, that was funny. I

feel a sudden element of kebab ism. That was

funny And suddenly Candice gets the spin cycle

which completely fixes her hair Mm -hmm. I like

that. I thought that was funny. She's like Stuck

inside this foosball What was it like in a foosball

arena? I guess you'd call it Yeah, and she's

she's stuck on a pole and she spins around really

really fast and then stops it goes This uncharacteristically

nice the whole part of Candice and Jeremy story

in this is He's shooting her for his photography

class And, uh, he wants, uh, sports... Oh, real

action shots, you know, sports shoot, so... Yeah.

She has terrible hair. Yes. Yes, yes, yes. Up

until the very end. Uh, was there anything you...

Go ahead, what? Up until the very end. Yeah.

Um... Was there anything you didn't like about

this one? Uh, well, you know, aside from the

whole made -up sports thing. Like I said, I have

a hard enough time following sports as it is

it's like, you know watch sports and I'll be

like you sports over here and they're gonna sports

really hard in the opposite direction and Don't

let those guys sport in that direction because

you'll win a point or field goal or you know

so i don't know i i have a hard time with sports

basically and then you introduce a sporting element

that makes no sense whatsoever and i'm i'm all

confused i can't wait until we get uh football

x7 and hockey z9 because that's just gonna drive

you nuts yeah exactly i'll be like they were

sportsing really hard and the other guys are

sportsing really hard too and Somebody had the

sports better than the other There's nothing

really I don't like about this one I enjoyed

the sports stuff. I thought it was fun Because

it's basically a giant game of foosball you mentioned

earlier about the no It's foosball and pantomime

horse badminton rubber chicken on roller skates.

Yeah, that doesn't make me I looked at the horse

stuff was, oh, it's rugby. It's rugby. It's another

sport I don't understand. Okay. Not, not rug.

What's the, God, now I'm losing it with the sport.

Gee, thanks dude. Uh, what's the one where, um,

polo, that's what it is. Not, not rugby. I'm

sorry. I'm sorry listeners. Don't yell at me

in the comments. Polo is the one with the horses,

with the mallets and It's kind of like croquet

on horses, but anyway. They were riding the horses,

but the horses were on roller skates. Easier

to move? I guess. You know, this reminds me...

The horse wasn't real, it was a suit. I want

to... I know, I realize that. This reminded me

of like a Monty Python skit. Yeah? Where they

were... I want to say they were... They were

playing polo. On on fake horses. Mm -hmm. And

I mean there I don't think those rubber chickens

or roller skates involved but Polo on fake horses

and I was like, okay, I can kind of see how where

this might have come from that Yeah, maybe possibly

I I saw cuz it because it's Disney and I don't

know if it's because it's Dan and swampy but

it's because it's Disney Okay, when they mentioned

the rubber chicken all as I thought of was the

damn flamingos from Alice in Wonderland Oh, yeah,

yeah So What would you rate got game? I'd probably

give it about a three. It was entertaining I

was really perplexed not only by the sports but

by how it ended where a rocket kind of gets deviated

from his course and Accidentally drags the stadium

away It was just so out there. It made no sense.

It was completely out of left field I think the

whole episode was out of left field. I mean,

it wasn't fantastic, but at the same time, it

made me giggle. I'm going to give it a four.

I really enjoyed it. I thought it was a really,

really fun episode. Something hits the rocket.

It gets knocked off course. Yeah. Right. I'm

trying to remember what the hell hit the rocket.

Was it the... Oh, God. I just watched this like

45 minutes ago. Well, it must not have been that

memorable. But it was a way for, you know how

we always talk about the A story and the B story

and the B story cleaning up the A story. Well,

it wasn't necessarily one of Doof's and Nader's,

but it was something that the A story did that

hit the rocket off course and then it flew over.

Because Candice says, there's no way. You're

gonna be able to get rid of that in time before

mom gets home. Yeah, and then something happens

to knock the rocket off court Yeah, but it wasn't

like something from the B story that did it Completely

out of left field like they said there's no way

that a dog misbehavior inator is going to end

up Dragging the stadium away. So we're gonna

have to come up with something else Well, the

cool thing about the B story floating back into

the A story is the misbehavinator hits Buford.

Oh, at the very end, he turns nice. That's right.

He completely makes a 180 and says, oh, well,

I understand that maybe I was being a little

misogynistic and that wasn't polite of me and

I apologize. He wanders off. That was funny.

Like I said, it made me giggle in a few spots

Alright everybody first you're going to hear

something very special that we Have been holding

on to for this specific podcast It's an old promo.

I wanted to have him do a new promo, but sadly

I Couldn't get street performer number one to

do a new promo. I'm sure he would have I just

didn't contact him, but you're gonna hear him

And then, oh my god Michael, that comet is heading

straight for your house! Uh oh! Can I carry away

the foosball arena? No! And you can't laser your

faces into it either. This is Phil Lamar, and

you are listening to the Geekcast Radio Network.

Isn't today great? Today is such a great day!

Everything is so great! My Candice, what's got

you in such a good mood? Jeremy just asked me

to go play croquet with him in the park! Okay,

well, be sure to be home in time for the barbecue.

We're going to be watching Chameleon's Comet

fly past the Earth. A comet? Cool. It only comes

around every 73 and a half years. We'll be barbecuing

steaks for the whole neighborhood. Why don't

you bring Jeremy? You had me at steaks. Why is

it called Chameleon's Comet, Dad? Chameleon's

Comet was named after an ancient Danville astronomer,

Augustus Chameleon, who discovered the comet.

It's also been said that if you wish on a comet,

your wish will come true. Wow. Come on, Ferb.

I know what we're going to do today. By the way,

where is Perry? Agent P, sorry to disturb you,

but we have an emergency. We've just been informed

that all stakes in the Tri -State area have disappeared.

This has Doofenshmirtz written all over it. Go

lay your smackdown on him, Agent P. The fate

of the world rests entirely in your hands. What,

the fate of the world? Welcome to our telethon.

If you're just joining us, your dollars are helping

us to find a cure for a... Anti -disestablishmentarianism.

Goodness me, that sounds dreadful. Oh, it is.

It, um, makes you look pale and weak like this

young lad. Whoa, dear, the poor thing. Look at

that. Wait a minute. Anti -disestablishmentarianism?

That's more of an ideological stance than a disease,

isn't it? Oh, well, look at that. Seems they've

just found a cure. Thanks to all the viewers

who donated. Bye now. Honey, you ready to go?

Yeah, sure. Hey, did you know they've just found

a cure for anti -disestablishmentarianism? Great!

I can finally take off this puce ribbon. Did

you see that comet, Michael? No! Actually, I

didn't get upstairs in time. I must have missed

it. We'll have to wait another 73 and a half

years to see it again. Yeah... Damn shame. But

anyway, stakes for everybody! So, Comet Chameleon,

face infirm... Laser engraved their faces into

a comet. Meanwhile, Candice tries to spend some

time in the park with Jeremy. But her dreams

were shattered when Jeremy's sister Susie is

there as well. Meanwhile, Dr. Newfoundshmirtz

steals all the steaks from the Tri -State area.

Evil! Evil man! Evil! You know, I like a good

steak, and if all the steaks were suddenly missing,

I'd be a little upset. I don't think I'd nominate

him president of the tri -state area, but I'd

be a little upset. So it's a comet that comes

around every 73 and a half years. So apparently

for watching comets fly through the sky, it's

a steak dinner. Apparently that's the meal for

watching comets. That makes no sense, but okay,

sure. That's what they're doing! They go out

and they look for steaks for the whole neighborhood.

Steaks for the whole neighborhood, and it comes

back at the end. Steaks are expensive, by the

way. I just wanna throw it out there, you know.

Well, and again, okay, so you brought it up this

time. He just said, folks, steaks are expensive.

They are. Again, I know people are tired of me

saying this, and I'm sure we've gotten a million

comments on all the other episodes when I brought

this up. Where the hell... Do the Flynn Fletchers

get their income besides the antique store? Because

if they buy steaks for the whole neighborhood...

You have to sell an awful lot of antiquery to

afford to buy steaks for the whole neighborhood.

Yeah, and then there's another episode where

Linda says something about she has to buy like

eight... 80 pounds of potatoes for potato salad.

That's a lot of potato salad. It is a lot Anyway,

all right, um Candice versus Susie. Oh boy Yeah,

it's Candice versus Susie versus pie yeah pie

ice cream and squirrels in squirrels That's funny,

you know, it was funny when Doofenshmirtz is,

you know, going around buying all the steaks.

You have Major Monogram telling Perry that he

has to stop him from buying up all the steaks.

I thought he said sticks. No, he said steaks.

I don't know. Well, I'm watching it. I'm like,

sticks. Why? Why would he buy sticks? That makes

no sense. Is he like, you know, going for a monopoly

on bird nests or something? I had no idea. Yeah,

then you get into the stakes. Oh, yeah stakes.

Okay. I get it the stakes the stakes The stakes

Good I Know the highlight of this whole episode

was the was the squirrel song Squirrels in her

rolls in my pants. Yeah, so Susie hits an acorn

in the canvases pants, which of course attracts

squirrels And they run into her pants And then

she sings these squirrels in my pants song. Which

is so funny. Occasionally I'll talk about how

on the Disney HD they'll have these interstitial

commercials which will feature like a little

mini music video from one of the Phineas and

Ferb episodes. And Squirrels in My Pants was

one of those. Yes, yeah, it's one of the most

popular songs from the series is it all right,

okay? Yeah, cuz that that's uh That's one of

the things I remember It's her singing the squirrel

song squirrels squirrels I Just want like this

episode. I just want it. I know it's you know

I don't condone violence folks at all, but there

are times where I just want to backhand the hell

out of Susie Because she's so mean to the old

lady respect your elders you young whippersnapper

Yeah, I I don't particularly like Susie The episode

where Candice finally gets her comeuppance I

think it's called suddenly Susie like that episode

I really dig but I mean Yeah. Yeah. Okay, so,

Squirrels in My Pants was voted number five on

the Phineas and Ferb musical cliptastic countdown

episode. So, came in at number five on the top

ten. That's not the most popular, but... Now

you gotta tell us what the remaining four were.

The remaining four? Well, we'll find that out

eventually. I don't remember off the top of my

head. Nobody posts in the comments what they

are. We'll get to them when we get to them. No

spoilers. Yes, no spoilers. I love Candace when

she comes back from the ice cream. All they had

was fudgy bars. Jeremy's like, Candace, what

happened? What the hell, man? Yeah. She comes

back looking like a swamp thing. What happened

to you? And then Susie. Candice walks away and

Jeremy's like, what happened to her? And Susie

does this super bad, super long philosophical

thing and Jeremy's like, what? Bubble! So he

gets Perry and Doof and at one point Perry's

trying to figure out his password. He's like...

Hey, Platypus, you'll never figure out my password.

My super -secret password. Yeah. You'll never

figure out my super -secret password. And then,

he figures it out and guess who the computer

is. Oh, who's the computer? It's Cory Barton,

as his Superman kinda brainiac voice he used

in Superman the Animated Series, where he said,

where, cause Doof says, um, hey, Platypus, you'll

never figure out my password, type, type, type.

Yeah. Access granted, do -fa -licious. Do -fa

-licious, that's right. I didn't realize that

was Cory Burton, though. Yeah. You know, out

of all the voice actors I've met, Cory Burton

I've never met. Yeah. Yeah. He's one of those

ones, and I'm not being cruel here at all, folks.

I'm just stating a fact as far as I can tell.

He's one of those ones that likes to just go

in... get his work done, go home, and not really.

I mean, he has been to conventions and things

like that, and he'll do that, but he's not one

to... He's not as active on... The convention

circuit? Well, he is on the convention circuit,

but, like, he's not as active, like, on social

media and things like that, as far as I know.

Oh, well, I mean, you know, some people, you

know, it's a job, and they just want to do their

job and go home. But at the same time... You

have people like, I don't know, let's say Tara

Strong, who's very active with her fan base.

And lots of people really want to go see her

when she appears somewhere. And it's not just

because she's fantastic, but it's because she's

engaged and she draws them to her through her

social media outlets. Right. And I'm not saying

it's anything bad against Corey Burton. I would

love to interview the guy. I know someone who

has. Yeah, that would be awesome. But I mean,

it's just one of those things where there are

just some voice actors that want their anonymity

and that's fine. We still love what they did,

you know, for as long as they did it. Well, up

until a year ago, we said the same thing about

Frank Walker. Yeah. And now it's like, we met

Frank and hey, you know, who's the next Holy

Grail? Who have we not met? Corey Burton. Yeah,

Cory I'm trying to think I've actually got a

big transformers animated poster that's been

signed by a bunch of the cast. There's no Cory

Burton Well, he was in it wasn't he yeah, yeah

It was only didn't he return his shockwave. Yeah.

Yeah All right. Anyway enough with the transformer

stuff Yeah, we always fall down that hole. Yeah

We always fall down that hole to the plasma energy

chamber. Okay, so anything else you liked or

didn't like about this one? I like the steak

containment unit. Lost containment. Steaks falling

from the sky. I mean, and honestly, who doesn't

want steaks from the sky? This reminded me of...

Oh, God, what's the name of the book? It's with

the land of chew and swallow. cloudy with a chance

of meatballs Yeah, I used to read that book to

Aidan all the time and And then when the move

well, we have the copy of the movie on DVD and

we'd watch the movie and the movie is Takes liberties

right with the story. Yeah, but it's still an

awesome movie in the sequel We have that on DVD

to another awesome one but as stakes are falling

from the sky and everyone's kind of got their

hand out and Stakes falling on the plates and

such that reminded me of that of that but more

the book than the movie to be honest I Like I

like Baljeet at the end. I did not bring a plate.

I thought they'd be provided Because the steak

falls flat in his face Honestly, seriously, we

got it. We cannot thank you so much for that

promo earlier Phil Lamar We cannot go without

talking about Street performer one and two now

I don't know off the top of my head and I'm not

looking at the wiki currently who Street performer

number two was but Street performer number one

was Phil Lamar and he was Awesome. That was that

was he the line that says wow. She had actual

squirrels in her pants. We just got served No

The other guy says, we just got served again.

At the end, Phil is the one on the left. Phil's

the one with the short hair. OK. And he says,

wow, she had actual squirrels in her pants. Actual

squirrels. And then the other guy says, we just

got served again. Yeah, I'm going back. And then

Phil goes, I'm going back to culinary school.

That's funny. Oh, you know what? Speaking of

Phil. Did you hear that there's a new Samurai

Jack? Ten new episodes coming out. It's exciting.

I love that show. Wait, didn't the story say

something about ten new episodes edited into

a five -hour movie? No, I think it was ten new

episodes that were going to play out like a five

-hour movie. So they were going to be separate,

but they were made to play back -to -back. Yeah,

absolutely. Okay, it's gonna be exciting. I can't

wait Yes, so the comet chameleon. What would

you give comet chameleon? Well, I This is this

is hard because uh, you know I don't like Susie

as a character and a goodly chunk of this is

Susie So if it were just Susie, I'd have to give

it a two But I do like the squirrel dance Love

the squirrel song and at the very end, you know

the credit the credits pumper It shows Candice

and she's twerking to the squirrel song. Yeah,

she's literally bent over with her ass swinging

back and forth. So I'm gonna For the squirrel

song alone, you'd have to give it a three But

if you pile twerking on top of that you you're

in for territory It's a five it's a friggin five

because I mean I think At first, you know the

first few episodes with Susie I was kind of I

just don't even care anymore, but now seeing

how How her antics Interrupt can this is life

so much. It's just so funny It really really

is and squirrels in my pants is one of the best

songs of a series So I'm I gotta give it a five

Okay I'd be a little generous there. Maybe just

a little Hey, I would have given it a five if

it was just Phil Lamar the whole episode so,

you know Oh, I forgot about Phil. Yeah. Well,

yeah. Yeah, he was criminally underused well

He was an interstitial character, but yeah, he's

still still very how does that happen? I mean,

is he just like hanging out in the hallway and

they're like, hey Phil, hey Phil, come here Can

you read these two lines for us? Sure, why not?

Yeah, OK. It just seems like two lines. You're

going way overboard to actually contact this

agent, have him come in, read for the part. OK,

fine. Those two lines look good. Here, come on

in. We're going to record them. Well, it's not

just two lines. He's in the whole episode in

various points. But it's an interstitial part

where it's he's interstitially in there between

different parts of the scene like you know wow

she had actual squirrels in her pants we just

got served honestly he's in there more than he

he than you think he is because he is he and

his buddy are doing the backbeat for squirrels

in her pants oh okay all right so not necessarily

you know Bowling for soup in the background.

That's actually Phil Lamar. I'm going back to

culinary school. I'm sorry Phil We have to have

Phil Lamar on and he can tell us about the process

that he went through for this particular episode

That was that would be helpful Let's face it

most of the guest voices that they get are only

like one or two lines. I mean, look at Kelly

Clarkson in the Christmas thing, but anyway,

we'll talk about that later. We're gonna take

a quick break, come back to close the show after

this and I'm gonna, you know, time travel 73

and a half years and turn Comic Chameleon around

and send it back to Michael's house, so. Say

hi to my grandchildren. Yes, after this. Yes,

oh God. I'm Captain Hook and you're Peter Pan.

I will send it after your children's children

children children Robin Williams you rock rest

in peace, sir. Anyway, we'll be back after this
