About this Episode

The hosts discuss two Phineas and Ferb episodes: "The Monster of Phineas and Ferbstein," a Halloween-themed flashback story inspired by Frankenstein and Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, and "Oil on Candace," where Phineas and Ferb help their friend Django impress his artist father Beppo by painting the unpainted desert. They explore the show's homages to classic horror films, debate whether giant everyday objects constitute art, and examine how the episodes adapt traditional Phineas and Ferb plots through different storytelling formats.

There's a hundred and four days of summer vacation

Then school comes along just to end it So the

annual problem for our generation Is finding

a good way to spend it Like maybe building a

rocket Or fighting a mummy Or climbing up the

Eiffel Tower Discovering something that doesn't

exist Or giving a monkey a shower Surfing tidal

waves Creating nanobots Or locating Frankenstein's

brain It's over here! Finding a dodo bird, painting

a continent, or driving our sister insane! As

you can see, there's a whole lot of stuff to

do before school starts this fall! So stick with

us, cause Phineas and Ferb are gonna do it all!

So stick with us, cause Phineas and Ferb are

gonna do it all! Welcome to episode 22 of palco

brought to you by the geek cast or radio network

I am one of your host to join Mike and joining

me is pick on court Michael. Hello. Hey, how's

it going? It's going Today is the 22nd day of

summer today. We have a Halloween episode and

What else what was the other one it was oh It's

the art of Halloween today is what it is really

really think about it the art Because when you

were laughing at the title for the second episode

yesterday We said what the second episode of

today was gonna be yesterday your oil on Candice

So wrong. Sounds like Girl's Gone Wild. Yeah.

This is the oiled up canvas episode. It's a play

on oil on canvas. Yes. Like a painting. Yes.

They actually have very large paint supplies

in this episode. And in this episode we will

be getting Django Unchained. I wonder... It was

funny because I thought they said, you know,

like Django Fett. I'm like, is this a Star Wars

play? Yeah, Beppo and Django, so I figure, oh,

it's the Fett's cousins or something. But yeah.

Yeah. The D is silent, apparently. The D is silent,

indeed. Yeah. I don't know. I'm not going to

make any Tarantino quotes tonight. That's where

I draw the line. We're just not gonna, we're

not gonna go there. And, no. No, no, no. So,

we're gonna get right to it because, um, we have

to make sure that, uh, the setting is set to

Evil Monster, not Fairy Princess. Last thing

we need is an Andre the Giant wannabe coming

in here to beat up, you know, uh, Russ Wheeler

from Days of Thunder. I'm so lost. I don't know

those references at all. Are you kidding me?

Seriously? Andre the Giant beating up Russ Wheeler

from Days of Thunder. Russ Wheeler was played

by Cary Elwes. I didn't watch Days of Thunder.

You see now, if you're going to make a Cary Elwes

reference, you got to talk about Twister with

Bill Paxton and Helen Hunt and Cary Elwes. Or

Men in Tights. Uh, I did see that one. Yeah,

okay, but hey, you don't get points for Bill

Paxson Twister man. Oh twister. Yeah, whatever.

We'll be back with the monster of Phineas and

Furbenstein after this Good evening, ladies and

gentlemen We thought it only fair to warn you

that the show you're about to see may disturb

you It may shock you it may even horrify you

You've been warned Looks like a real summer storm.

Well, our plan to stand alone in a field with

a metal rod is out. This weather isn't fit for

man or platypus. Hey, where's Perry? Good morning,

Agent P. The mission you're about to receive

may shock you. It may even horrify you. But then

again, probably not. I mean, you have been doing

this for a while. Anyway, sorry about the tart

behind me. Storm caused some water damage. Oh,

jeez and crackers! Late for my cousin's wedding.

Gotta run. Doerwin's words is up to something

you know what to do. Hmm, I wonder where Perry

goes off to. Lost your platypus, eh? That reminds

me of a really great monster story. Tell us,

Grandpa. It's about Ferb's ancestor. He was his

great, great, great, great, great, great, great,

great, great, great uncle. Great. It was a long

time ago, back in the old country on a cold moonlit

night. Your great uncle, Ferb Gore, was assisting

the famous Dr. Finneas Stein in the macabre task

of collecting spare parts from semi -aquatic

mammals. Hey, Ferb Gore, the Monsters Ball Best

Monster Contest. A big prize goes to the best

monster. Sweet. I know what we're gonna do today.

Back at Castle Finneas Stein, the boys began

building their monster. Can you at least tell

a story in color, Grandpa? Perhaps muted color

would be better. Who's telling this story anyway?

Did I mention that the boys had a conniving and

disapproving governess named Constance? So anyway,

Jeremiah was like totally checking the outlet.

Will you hold it down? I am trying to use the

quill! Alright, the monster of Phineas and Ferbstein.

Uh... Phineas and Ferbenstein. Stein, steen,

whatever, who cares? A rainy day causes Phineas

and Ferb to cancel today's activities. To pass

the time, Grandpa Reg tells the story about one

of Ferb's Victorian ancestors, Ferb Gore, who

helped a scientist, Dr. Phineas Stein, by creating

whatever. Did you ever see that movie? Yeah,

I don't know. Creating a platypus monster. While

locked in his own building, Dr. Doofenshmirtz

tells Agent P the story about his ancestor Jekyll

Doofenshmirtz, who made a concoction brood to

turn him into a monster. Oh boy, so this is the

first or second Halloween monster type thing,

is it? That we've seen in the series? I don't

know. Got the impression about halfway through

that it was definitely a Halloween episode Yeah,

either that or they just decided to do the whole

episode on Young Frankenstein hmm well Brooks,

yeah Yeah, I was wasn't born yet, but I know

you're only a year old so exactly yeah i have

seen it though it's yeah one of those things

where it's like why is this movie in black and

white it makes no sense yeah you know the story

has color but only muted color hey you stole

my line sorry who's telling this story anyway

i thought it was funny can we have some color

no we can't have color just muted color And then

grandpa comes in, who's telling this story anyway?

I would have been cool with it in black and white,

because that was totally the young Frankenstein

vibe. What I find interesting is how they essentially

keep the traditional Phineas and Ferb plot by

morphing certain aspects of it. Like instead

of... Constance having an angry mom. She has

an angry mom. Angry mom. Mom, mom. We're coming.

We're coming. Slow down. Doctor, your 11 o 'clock

is here. The angry mom. You're there early. That's

right. They're all sitting in the drawing room.

Sipping tea. This better be fast, Doctor. We

have a tarn feathering at noon. Exactly. They're

this slightly irritated mom. They're really angry.

We're slightly irritated. That's funny. Well,

you keep it down. I'm trying to use the quell.

It's funny because she's jotting down this telephone

conversation. Yes with it with a feather They

have to morph the characters in the situation

to the time of the story so yeah, which is fine.

I mean Phineas and Ferb or Phineas and Ferb gore

aren't really morphed all that much for work,

but obviously you have to morph Candice and I

mean even even Jekyll Doofenshmirtz isn't really

that much different from Hines. He still fails.

Yeah. Did you notice that, uh, Doofenshmirtz's,

um, uh, brother Roger was the, the assistant?

Yup. I thought that was funny. He's got like

a butler. Roger says butler. And he keeps picking

on him. The whole, okay, so when... When Jekyll...

because we gotta remember, folks, it's two different

characters. When Doofenshmirtz's ancestor Jekyll

Doofenshmirtz takes the, uh, the correct evil

potion, he turns into a hunchback. I'm like,

the hunchback of Notre Dame, really? Seriously?

I know this is Disney, but come on, it's a little

on the news. Because when he turns into the evil

monster, that's all I can think of is the hunchback

of Notre Dame. I mean he was a very large hunchback.

I think like even going back into the the dr.

Jekyll and mr. Hyde movies the mr. Hyde was always

this huge like Hunched over creature. He was

like who's almost like an ape with a cane. I

think that's what they were going for kind of

like a gorilla with a cane that type of thing

and That resembled more like a hunchback You

have this huge upper body and these tiny little

doofenshmirtz legs. Yeah. And this huge neck.

So you can wear it later, Hosen, later. There

you go. He's got the legs for it. Yeah. And so

the... So Jekyll Doofenshmirtz goes on a little

singing spree and he runs into the angry platypus

monster. And he quite literally pulls his nose

off which then makes the platypus even more angry

Yeah He wasn't a secret agent at the time. He

was just a giant platypus He's just a giant platypus

monster who apparently every at least one guy

in the town is as a death of death of deathly

fear of having a Giant platypus monster see him

in his underwear, and he still goes out on his

balcony Who doesn't remember the one guy? Yeah,

and I remember yeah, he comes out and says My

I've finally overcome my irrational fear of having

a giant platypus see me on my undergarments And

then here he comes walking down the street. He's

got like this gate like Like Godzilla and it's

that he's not quite Godzilla ish, you know, he's

only well, I'd say about 15 feet tall Yeah, quite

sure that is he's short in the he's more of a

of a man Suki there was Because the baby Godzilla's

name, I don't I don't know Zuki I forget what

they call it, but he was yeah, it's very small

for a Godzilla As far as kinds you go. He was

little on the short side Yeah I find it ironic

and hilarious that the parry the platypus monster

and Isabella have a date In the story even as

far back as the the original Frankenstein's monster

in the book by Mary Shelley Frankenstein meets

a little girl and In the book he killed her because

he doesn't realize that that people are can be

alive versus dead Uh, but in Young Frankenstein,

he meets a little girl. I forget, did he kill

the little girl in Young Frankenstein? He had

to have, because that's how he ended up with

an angry mob chasing him. But, uh, yeah. Yeah,

so, of course, there has to be, uh, a young Isabella

who meets him on the road and goes, whatcha doin'?

Yep. She actually gets two whatcha doin's in

this episode. Yes, yes, she does. Double your

whatcha doin' pleasure. Yeah The fairy princess

setting really really, you know, it's it's either

that or a self -destruct I Don't think it's self

-destruct button would work in that time period

that well the fairy princess Works with the self

-destruct doesn't well I'm saying like he could

set it to like social self -destruct and it would

turn him into a fairy princess And then everyone

would be like, ah, right away. This is kind of

what happened. Yeah. What what did you like about

this one? Uh, you know, it was. It was a Halloween

episode, you know, I like monsters. I like the

fact that they are paying homage to to Frankenstein

and Dr. Jekyll. So some of the cinema has come

out of that. All right, I like the end and that's

why there are pumpkins Yeah, I'd like to hear

that one yeah, I bet you would Gramps is going

a little senile here. I think I got nothing for

Platypus monsters. They almost just lay eggs

I'm not sure if that's true You think the creature

from the Black Lagoon is part lizard was you

part lizard or depart fish? But fish lay eggs

as do lizards So you would assume if there were

a female of this creature from the Black Lagoon

species They would lay eggs Hmm hey, I'm not

here to poke holes in their theory. I'm just

saying yeah, yeah I'm guessing the Godzilla's

legs too. Yeah, because he's a lizard, you know,

I like the Poor Jeremiah Candice. I've never

seen you look so so beautiful. Oh wait now I

can think of a time. Yeah I take it back. Maybe

you got real ugly I'm just gonna throw out the

army of darkness references from Noah Also a

good Halloween movie if you're spending Halloween

with nothing to watch you break out the old army

of darkness that never fails Bruce Campbell That's

all I got I'm at No, yeah, I don't know like

I'm not it's kind of like you The other day not

really being into the bowling thing. I'm not

really into the monster thing Yeah, I do I do

like one of grandpa Reggie's of the lines though

this weather isn't fit for men or platypus Yeah,

you know I I want to say you know There were

some clever references here, but overall it wasn't

the type of episode that made me go. Wow, that's

really interesting again, we You and I enjoy

the way that the a story and the B story collectively

dovetail and Here they just kind of didn't there

was no they they they were going for something

going for you know Halloween Halloween episode

but more like they're making these references

or Halloween movies and scary movies and kind

of throwing their own I'll say cliches with throwing

their own stick out the window We got what you're

doing Yeah, did we get a where's Perry? Yeah

Because he says yeah Where is it he says? Are

you checking the wiki? Don't check the wiki.

Just remember. Just dream back in your head.

I can't remember. Look back at it and say, what

was that that was said? I can't remember. Where

is it? Yeah, Grant Rich says, Phineas says, where's

Perry? And he says, I wonder where Perry goes

off to. Grandpa reds lost your platypus. Hey

that reminds me of a really great monster story

So they do mention He's a master of the segue

Moving right along yes moving right along Wasn't

anything I really didn't like about this one.

I found this episode to be more of a middle ground

for me again. I'm not I'm not the biggest monster

movie fan I recognized, you know, obviously the

Frankenstein stuff and the Jekyll and Hyde stuff

and all that and But like you said it pretty

much took the tree and there are times where

I don't mind this where it takes the traditional

story format and plays with it a little bit,

but I think it played with it a little bit too

much here because it's a Phineas and Ferb episode

done in a flashback. Both A -side and the B -side

stories are both flashbacks. Right. Or storytelling

or such. You know, I just remember that they

had a monster episode that was the Haunted House,

where Isabella had the hit house. Oh, yeah, yeah.

So this is the second Halloween attack. Yeah.

That one was arguably better. Yeah. Yep, it was.

What would you give the monster of Finisstein

and Fervor Gore? Oh, well... I mean, on its own

merits, probably a 2, but the fact that they're

referencing... movies like Young Frankenstein

and the Legend of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. That

puts it closer to a three. Yeah, I'm gonna give

it a three as well. When I was watching and I

enjoyed it, but just thinking back on it and

looking at the way the plot... I don't know,

it's just weird. It's different. It's different,

but you know for some reason we tend to punish

different here. Sometimes, yes. Alright, we're

gonna head to the unpainted desert so we can

paint that stuff. Paint that stuff. Bow down

to me, Granny Smith. Sadly, you can't even get

that right. Over here, we have the work of the

great environmental installation artist, Beppo

Brown. That's my dad. As Jango can tell you,

his father Beppo is famous for his monumentalist

recreations of everyday objects. Wow, Jango.

It's so cool that your dad makes such huge things.

Look at that giant toothbrush and that giant

dental floss. It's even been used. Whoa! And

how about that giant baby? My dad didn't make

that. Django, isn't that your dad over there?

Yeah, I'm gonna go say hi. You're taking it too

literally It's the juxtaposition of the doughnuts

and the mountains Hi Django, how are your friends

enjoying the tour? They love it. Wanna hang out

with us? Sorry bud, but I I gotta answer a few

questions for these people and talk to them about

my new project But I promise I'll catch up with

you just as soon as I can have fun. Okay, folks,

please Let's take some time to look at Beppo's

fabulous exhibit. Oh, and don't miss his newest

addition, Donuts Over the Mountain, which can

be seen from the viewing platform. Cool. Let's

check it out. I'd like to see the giant mascara

brush again. What do you say, Candice? Where's

the giant exit sign? I'd rather be at home with

Perry. What do you suppose Perry does when we

leave him at home? I love you, my darling. No,

I love you much more than you love me. I hate

you. Sorry to bother you on your day off, Agent

P. I love you! I thought you hated me! Agent

P, you've got to concentrate. It's Doofenshmirtz

again. He's expecting a visit from his old evil

science professor, Dr. Havarlik. You must get

over there pronto. Those two together are a bad

combination. Don't worry about your stories.

We'll tape them for you. Up next is Oil on Candice.

Phineas and Ferb help their friend Django impress

his artist father Beppo by painting the unpainted

desert. Meanwhile, Dr. Newfound Schmertz tries

to impress his old evil science teacher, Dr.

Hvarlik. Oh boy, this episode. This was the episode

that I had said that... was the original introduction

to Django, but we have seen him before in the

background and stuff. Django? Yeah, it was Backyard

Beach. He was in that episode. Okay. And he's

appeared in other episodes, but he hasn't really

had... A name? No, he had a name, but he was

only shown as like... one of the background kids.

Like remember in Roller Coaster with the end

of it when one of the kids says, way too cool.

Can we ride it again? Sorry. One per customer,

Finneas says. So they put him off as like a background

kid character at first. And now they're fully

introducing him into the series here. OK. And

his dad with a strange name. Yeah, Beppo Django,

they're FETs who cares I was wondering if Well

number one with this was if that was actually

a start Star Wars reference because that would

have been weird Or a Quentin Tarantino reference,

although this episode probably predates that

movie by what five years, but so probably not

But depo where's this come from is it these real

people that they're that they're What's the term?

I'm making in their show. They're like, oh, well,

it's my uncle's brother's Roommate's cousin that

he wants to be in the show. So we're we're putting

his name and likeness in I Really like agent

peas entrance this episode wasn't really an entrance

but He watches the soap operas and he's got all

these snacks He's got all these snacks and it

shows him having facial hair. That's right He

has this five o 'clock shadow He's in this bathrobe

It's funny. It's like I wonder what Perry's doing

right now if he's sitting there watching his

watching his shows Monograms like don't worry.

We'll tape your shows So hilarious. He's got

his hat under his chips. One place to put your

hat. I guess so. Well, it's his day off. So what

else are you going to do? True. OK, so since

you brought that up, since they said it was his

day off, they've made mention several times since

we've been doing this of him requesting vacation

time or Monogram calling him when it's supposed

to be his day off. Yeah. like evil does not take

a holiday platypuses just can't get a break well

you know it's funny too because there are days

when dufus sports is just not doing anything

it's just like hey i i've honestly got nothing

to do today you could just leave if you want

you know or or you can hang out and help me do

something That one episode where he's in his

hammock and he just says why don't you come over?

We'll have some ice tea. It's funny. So I mean

if they could coordinate a little bit then maybe

they could each have a day off and not feel guilty

about it. What did you think of the introduction

of Dr. Harvalik? Yeah, I couldn't even write

our name down. I just copied it out of the wiki.

Of course you did. I thought that was funny.

I thought it was funny that he was that worried

about making a good impression. And the fact

that when she finally did show up, she just was

not impressed with anything he had. He's like,

okay, seriously, did any of these work? Well,

no. except for my blender inator bowed down before

me that's right a lot of inators that we've seen

before we had the deflate inator we had destruct

inator we had the ice cream maker inator oh yeah

okay so technically that would have worked Well,

yeah, it worked, but it worked only to make ice

cream. It didn't do anything else. It could have

been the ice cream headache in NATO. To give

everybody in the Tri -State area an ice cream

headache. Oh, yes, that is something I would

buy. It's so evil. That's funny. He tries to

hit on one of the dancers Before dr. Harlech

shows up. That was yeah, that's what I thought.

I like that. He goes through the whole I wanted

to call it a floor show, but no this is seriously

like a whole song and dance deal It's like a

like a theater And poor Perry he's like he pulls

up a chair He gets down in it and immediately

Doofus first pushes the button so that it locks

him in place, you know, but his arms aren't stuck

so he can He can lean over and pick up the playbill,

you know and read about That's how you know,

he's in the theater because he has something

to read what during the show So he doesn't actually

have to pay attention. I just thought it was

funny. It's something I've done before I think

they took the innator thing a little too far

with Dr. Havar, like, where's your phone innator?

I need to call a cab innator. I'm like, seriously?

Well, no, she was making fun of him because he

was showing her his blender innator, and she's

just like, all right, seriously. I need your

phone innator because technically everything

you own is an innator now. So. Django's dad Beppo

he has the Donuts on the mountain what? Beppo

or depo? Beppo, it's a B. Beppo? Alright. It's

like the Lost Marks brother. Beppo. Yeah, I guess.

Who knows? Groucho, Zippo, Beppo. Sadly the first

thing I thought of was Richard. Ugh. Richard.

Richard marks The last marks brother. Oh, that's

funny Karl Marx the the Russian missing brother

But right here waiting for you in this part right

here waiting for you So they meet up with with

Django's dad Beppo and Django is all about impressing

his dad with the picture he drew and he doesn't

think it's gonna be so impressive to his dad

because his dad does all these super giant big

things. He had super giant art supplies. He has

the donuts over the mountain thing which is right

next to the unpainted desert. They called it

Monumentalist recreations of everyday things.

Yep, that's what they called it. This seems silly

to me. I mean honestly You you put I don't know

a hundred or so 20 foot tall Donuts on a mountain.

It's gonna look cool But is it art? Is it really

art? It's Danville it's a tri -state area you

know they consider you know fossils art i uh

okay how about that sure fossils dun dun dun

fossils then they have the giant art supplies

exhibit can well see this the funny thing is

you know finneas says we're gonna need a bunch

we're gonna need some giant arts for we're gonna

need some giant art supplies and i just figured

ferb was gonna go do his thing and then jango

just Butts in and says, oh that was my dad's

last exhibit. Yeah Convenient for the plot. Well,

I I can understand a giant tube of Paint right

acrylic paint. Yeah I couldn't oil paint. Haha.

Hence the title, but I couldn't see it being

functional You know, you actually got a giant

tube full of oil -based paint That's giant Yeah

but you know i mean honestly well with the way

they use it it's functional because they use

it as like a skateboard and a surfboard and all

that kind of stuff so yeah with the way they

use it it's functional it was just funny the

way that they're like you know this is where

they get the uh painting a continent from yeah

from the intro the title sequence phineas and

forever making a title sequence You know, they

got a helicopter with a paintbrush attached to

it, and I'm thinking, wow, you know, that seems

like overkill to be making a portrait. And then

you see them doing all this large -scale painting,

and then you end up with a portrait painted on

the unpainted desert. Yep. You know the one thing

that was missing from this? Grandpa's color commentary.

Now they're using fuchsia That's fuchsia, it's

clearly pink. That's salmon! No, it's pink. It's

pink. It's pink, it's not such a thing as salmon.

Salmon's a fish. It's something Crayola wants

you to believe because they can't come up with

names for the colors. Oh god, I remember growing

up on Crayola crayons and once you had like the

64 pack it was like like saffron blue and salmon

pink and burnt umber now they're just making

shit up you know they don't they they ran out

of words they don't know what to call them anymore

this 64 colors you try coming up with 64 names

for 64 colors I remember the coolest thing about

the 64 pack from Crayola crayons back in the

day was the gold and silver crayons. You had

gold, you had silver, you had white, and you

had a... I want to say pencil sharpener. A crayon

sharpener in the back of the box. Yep. Because,

you know, that's how you know when you're a badass,

when you can sharpen your crayons. Ain't that

the truth. Exactly. What else did you like about

this one? uh i keep coming back to bow down to

me granny smith kneel before sod granny smith

you will kneel all right uh i like perry perry

the uh i can't pronounce her name what's her

name dr harvalik harvalik all right so dr harvalik

it's it's harvar it's harvar like harvar like

I don't know, just, just don't even, just say

his professor. Dr. H. So Dr. H. It's actually

G. Dr. H. G, it's a G, what? That's here, look.

No, I can't, I can't, I can't even adult today.

So anyway, so that's how she spells it. It's

G E R V A A All right, we're just gonna call

her the short lady short lady short lady short

lady is You know, she's she she's Perry. She's

like why do you have this platypus tied to a

chair? He's like no, no, that's my nemesis. It's

my nemesis. He's going to thwart me any minute

now Thwart away big guy He's just he's just tied

to the chair going Yeah, I can't do it totally

can't do it deep Bradley Baker puts me to shame

in every way But I just thought it was funny.

He's like you're ready for you to thwart me Yeah,

whenever you're ready and she says He's just

a platypus. He doesn't do much. It just goes

to show. When the show falls back on its cliches,

it's that much better. Anything you didn't like

about this one? Well, in general, I don't believe

that giant everyday objects constitutes art.

I thought it was a little funny When you know

the the Django Django's art is destroyed because

the innator blows up a dam instead of the moon,

right and He gives the small version the prototype

version, you know of his artwork to his dad This

dad loves it so much that he puts it on the fridge

On a giant fridge. It's a giant fridge and I'm

like, oh, that's so nice. It's Just giant fridge.

What the hell? That was my first thought was

That one's going on the fridge, you know, cuz

that's what we do in our house. Oh, how nice

you made some art This is really nice. We're

gonna put it on the fridge giant fridge Not much

art you could put on that giant fridge. It's

just this ridiculous one art Why wouldn't you

have some giant art to put on the giant fridge?

Sorry, it just got washed away. I think this

is the second time I've noticed them from episode

to episode make Homages or references to the

previous episode grandpa Reg says something about

The monster being bigger than a big refrigerator,

but not bigger than a really big refrigerator

Wait, that's a really big refrigerator that that

arts going on Well, that's funny because he's

making a reference to the next episode No, the

one we just talked about I I Yeah, but In the

monster of Phineas and Ferb when he when he the

one that came on before this episode, right?

so he's making a reference to The episode that

comes after that No, the giant refrigerator here

in this episode is referencing the fact that

he said About something about a giant refrigerator

in the last episode No, actually, I think the

giant refrigerator in this episode was just a

slight gag based on the fact that he was gonna

put his art on the fridge Because that's what

like I said, that's what one does But the fact

that in the previous episode he made reference

to a giant refrigerator. That's uncanny Kind

of weird I like the moon -destroying laser. For

intents and purposes, we will call it a death

star. He wants to blow up the moon in order to

impress his short lady. He totally screws that

up too, but he manages to blow up a damn. Oh

I like a good toe -tapping damn song like it

good. All right, so tapping That's right. There's

moon. There's moon moon related love songs. Just

drive me up the wall I hate those we're gonna

blow up that moon. But uh, you know when you

think about it there there was uh Trying to think

of you know, what movies have Broken dams in

them like like the the original Superman right

the Hoover Dam breaks he has to save he has to

save What Las Vegas? I don't know from the Hoover

Dam being broke Who would be jeopardized by the

Hoover Dam breaking? Aside from the people standing

on the Hoover Dam So of course the lowest lane

is standing on the Hoover Dam at the time yeah,

but You're gonna take out civilization by blowing

up that dam It's just funny that he blows up

the dam and the dam instead of actually destroying

a town or a village or You know use car lot it

instead manages to unpaint the the unpainted

desert Yes, yes it does. What would you rate

this one? I really like this one I like the way

that the You know, it's be the dead horse a side

the B side over left nicely But I out of are

we going out of five I think eight. Yeah four

Yeah, I'll give it a four as well. I really did

enjoy it I enjoyed The three new characters we

meet in Django Beppo and dr. Have our look I

like those she ever come back I'd have to I'd

have to check so but I like that I like that

we see another side to Heinz that he really does.

I mean, really, it's not really another side

to him because he always wants, he doesn't always

show, but he does always want to impress people.

Like, he always felt like he was let down by

his parents and he always wants to impress his

mom, which apparently he can never do anything

right for his mother because his mother always,

oh, Roger, you're such a good son. Yeah. Nobody

cares. Nobody cares. Go out in the garden and

be a lawn gnome. Yes. Oh, what's that line that

the father said in the long -known beach party?

What is it? A vengacy dish or whatever the hell

he says when he basically tells him not to move.

I forget what that is. Anyway, we're going to

take a quick break, come back with final thoughts

and all that good stuff after this. But follow

me. I do have something even more impressive

over there. My brand new blender -inator. Spelling

doom for even the toughest of apples! Bow down

to me, Granny Smith! Yeah, I'm sure if I was

a palmaceous fruit, I would be trembling. Alright,

folks, we are back, and you would ask me if Dr.

Havarlik ever comes back again. She only gets

a cameo in Rollercoaster the Musical. So this

is her first and only appearance in Oil on Candice.

Well, you can only be told how disappointing

you are so many times before it becomes unfunny.

That's very true, yeah. But the real question

is did the Union dancer ever come back? No, I

don't think so he had a shot with her he really

did I saw some chemistry there Yeah, I doubt

that I seriously He does that with almost every

not not every one of his dancers But he's she's

this is the first time we've seen him try that

you don't try to get a date with one of the dancers

But he does it again in a future episode And

she says something about she has to go home and

feed her kid or something Yeah, I'm just saying

it's like sounds like this has happened to the

writers in real life That's funny, yep All right.
