Darkstalkers Season 1 Episodes 1-7 Review
About this Episode
Supernatural things. Magic and sorcery. They're
back. From out of the gloom, stalk your worst
nightmares. Ghouls, zombies, werewolves, vampires.
You can't be sure what lurks out there in the
darkness of night. We're the dark stalkers! Tyron,
intergalactic collector of planets, wants the
Earth. And he's going to get it, even if it has
to wake the undead. He summons Demetri, Lord
of the Vampires, to launch a reign of terror,
to release a plague of monsters and bring humans
to their knees. But other night warriors are
on the prowl. Monstrous, awesome contenders with
bizarre fighting powers. Immortal creatures locked
in battle to decide the fate of the world. It's
enough to make your blood run cold. Hello and
welcome to the 64th episode of Pixels in the
Animation. I almost called the podcast Darkstalkers.
I don't know what the hell that was. Holy crap.
I think I had some pinky in my brain, folks.
64th episode of Pixels in the Animation. I am
one of your hosts, TFJ and Mike, and join me
in this weird epic journey is TV's Mr. Nail.
Listen to them. The children of the night. What
music they make. Oh my god. I'd rather watch
Dracula dead and loving it on repeat than watch
this shit. Oh god. Hey, Frank Dreven was a better
Dracula than this guy. That's true. And today
we are becoming dark stalkers. This is dark stalkers
part one of two for us We're gonna do the first
seven episodes in this podcast and then do the
final six Since thankfully this show only had
one season It's one season, but it feels like
two Yeah, that's because everywhere online they
break up Anywhere you watch this new where you
find this online whether you find it on YouTube
whether you find it on other websites like Daily
motion or whatever. They break up each episode
into three parts. And I'm like, wait, you mean
I have to watch seven minutes at a time? Well,
I think it's a product of early YouTube, which
only lets you upload less than 10 minutes at
a time. And since then, it's greatly expanded,
but no one's had the courage to re -upload this.
Someone already did it already. Yeah, apparently
not um to give people some background on this
Because everything in the 90s after Batman Was
called the animated series so dark stalkers also
known as dark stalkers the series American quote
-unquote children's animated television series
produced by Graz Entertainment and in syndication
on UPN from September to December of 1995 The
cartoon is loosely, very loosely based on the
Capcom game of the same name, Darkstalkers the
Night Warriors. Oh boy. Which itself is based
largely on universal movie monsters and also
the Hammer Horror films. Unlike Konami, it seems
like they understood that those characters are
kind of copyrighted. They had to kind of put
a spin on it. So it's really not Dracula. It's
really not Frankenstein. But otherwise it is
those characters. It's the wolf man and the...
And the mummy. Yeah, and the creature from the
Black Lagoon. But they kind of queued them up
because they're all anime. But this is like a
weird interpretation of that. So it's like Japanese
designs interpreted by Western artists who've
never seen Japanese art before. Yeah, I mean,
writers on this series, wow. Okay, so first of
all, folks, normally, as you've heard in the
past when we did Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat,
the six and seven, one part, two episodes we've
been doing, we normally have at least one sentence
or one and a half sentences. of a plot synopsis
of each episode. We do not have that here whatsoever
for Darkstalkers. We just have the Wikipedia
link lists just the episode names. It does say
on here that Kristy Marks wrote some of these.
Yeah, I noticed a lot of Sunbow writers on this.
Some of them have to atone for this. I'm sorry.
With Christy, I'll give it a pass. I mean she's
she's done a bunch of other amazing amazing work
obviously Jim what she create, you know, it's
pretty much the creator of the cartoon series.
She did Turtles episode. She did Conan episode.
She did GI Joe. She did Captain Power You know,
I mean And she's done really great in the comic
book world as well as far as writing. So I'll
give her a pass. But when I looked over here
and looking at her name, I'm like, oh my God,
what is she doing on this show? Just one of those
things. I guess so. I recognize none of the other
staff, like producers. Normally you'd see like
a Lou Scheimer production or you know Wally Burr
production or Sunbow or whatever like this wasn't
even this was plus this is on UPN. This was some
fly by night animation studio. The funny thing
is this is essentially a precursor to Beast Wars
voice actors. Yeah. You got Gary Chalk, Ian James
Corlett, Scott McNeil, Lee Tokar, who was ravaging
Beast Wars for those that don't know, and Richard
Newman, who was Rhinox. And as soon as I started
watching the first episode and I heard Python's
voice, I'm like, hey, it's M. Bison, and he's
on fire! Cuz I mean don't get me wrong. I love
Richard Newman as a voice actor I hope to interview
the guy eventually one of these days, but there's
no difference in the Python voice and or pyron
I'm sorry pyron voice and And bison, it's it's
just his voice basically the same character this
series just so far because i've only because
we're only doing this first episode right now
so i've only actually watched the first seven
episodes six out of the seven six out of the
first seven are tolerable that seventh episode
i would rather watch scott and t -bob from mask
over and over again than watch little bigfoot
again i'd rather watch ultra magnus's birthday
thirteen times in a row than to watch this What
should we get him for a present? I don't know
Like what's his birthday? He doesn't have a birthday.
He's from space Yeah, yeah, he doesn't have time
for that I just I don't know Where do you want
to start with this because holy crap? I mean,
I've got notes and stuff but like I mean I keep
I'm really out of place with this series, folks,
because, like I said, normally, there are plot
synopsises provided, so it's one of those things
where we can't even roll our eyes at the really
bad Wikipedia plot synopsises because there are
none. Well, I say 13 zeros. Good night, everybody.
Oh, we can't do that. Well, there is a Darkstalkers
wiki. Yeah, I'm going there now. Yeah, and all
13 episodes do appear to be summarized on here.
Yeah, I'm looking, I'm looking. Why don't you
talk about the games briefly while I'm looking
at this for a second. Well, there's not really
much else to say. It's largely based on the Street
Fighter engine. It's kind of halfway between
Street Fighter II and Street Fighter Alpha. It's
more cartoony than Street Fighter II was. It's
got bigger attacks. You know, instead of like
having tiny fireballs, it's like, you know, you
just have like huge attacks that take up the
whole screen. And like I said, it's largely based
on movie monsters. Some of the ones I didn't
cover, you know, Pyron, he's basically the devil.
Felicia, which is, I don't know. Where does Felicia
actually fall in? She's like a cat girl, which
is like an anime thing. So it's not really a
monster per se, which is probably why she's the
protagonist in here. They're like, well, what
the hell is she? She's the good guy. That's who
she is. Yeah, she's essentially a black cat,
but she's not black cat. Yeah. Because black
cat had a little bit of bad in her, but at least
black cat was a little bit more sexy. And you
have I'm gonna screw up this name Bisham on who's
like the She's like the samurai warrior. He kind
of looks like a bludgeon from late transformers
g1 You know the comics See Oh Bigfoot, but I'm
pretty sure he's called Sasquatch in the in the
games Yeah, yeah, I think that was one of the
okay, so Looking at the Darkstalkers wiki, differences
between the games and the show. Characters have
a more western cartoon look, obviously. Almost
every character has a complete personality change.
For example, Anacaris is a silent and mysterious
in the games, however in the cartoon he's loony,
humorous, and talkative. Felicia is the main
character in the series. She acts like a sassy
adult instead of a childish teenage girl, is
stated to be hundreds of years old, and is covered
up more than a costume of some sort instead of
just having a minimal amount of fur. You already
mentioned the Sasquatch thing. So Lord Raptors
midsection is a tattoo rather than a gaping empty
area, which yeah, I don't think even UPN would
have allowed this series to have a gaping hole
in the guy's stomach. I mean, I know UPN was
desperate for content in the 90s, but I mean,
come on. Lord Raptors got to have some sort of
standards. Lord Raptors seems partially based
on Eddie from the cover of many Iron Maiden albums.
Yeah, and he's got that he's got that Scott McNeil
voice where it's like half protoman half Oh What's
the other one he uses Like his version of dr.
Wiley, I guess I don't know. It's like it's like
dr. Wiley and protoman, but they're rock stars
mix with wheelie. Oh It's just so wrong all right
song references Oh, yeah, I that was one of my
down to Where is it? It's pyramid. No, it's not
pyramid power. It's um It's yep, it was too many
bad jokes and all this Know it's it's somewhere
in my notes. Oh, yeah, it's it's in the in the
ghost hunter episode where I wrote too many musical
puns so to Give us some background here for out
of the dark Pyron returns to earth and summons
the old races also known as the dark stalkers
to help him enslave the humans a dark stalker
by the name of Felicia searches for the legendary
sorcerer Elijah grimoire or grimoire or whatever
the hell, grimoire. I think it's grimoire or
something. Grimoire, yeah, that's what it is.
In hopes that he can help her instead of finding
the ancient sorcerer, she finds his great -great
-great -great -great -grandson, Harry. AKA character,
not actually in the games. Yep. Alls I can think
of this entire time I'm watching this show, you're
a wizard, Harry! No, oh no! the dark stalking
of harry potter if only he had like uh... around
glasses no although that they would be a combination
of harry potter and mccully colkin is the page
master uh... so this first episode it's a good
setup i like the setup uh... Felicia's constant
transformation apparently she has to turn into
a cat so she can rest her. It's kind of like
Mumrah. He has to go back in the pyramid and
sleep, but she just turns into a cat and takes
a cat nap. It's almost the reverse of Catra from
She -Ra. Because Catra for the most part is,
you know... decked out check with with the mask
in the boobs in the ass all that but then when
she wants to you know get down and dirty with
was sheer another other people on that show she
puts her mask and she turns into a female version
of panthorne i'm like wait why uh... catra was
much was much sexier usual yeah human also you
know yeah absolutely but uh... still I'd rather
compare this Felicia to the other Felicia and
the other Felicia is much better Good old Felicia
Hardy. Yes. Oh boy. All right. So the first episode
It's like I said it sets up the characters nicely
but um What the hell is is like the death star
like the the all of the what they call dark helmet
shipments because you guys you know is that what's
all i think it's just called space ball one okay
as they see a space ball one had a better tractor
beam than this she had this tractor beam is the
the the wolfman guy is going to go into a cave
in the tractor beam can't find it wouldn't have
just gone over the cave and pulled the whole
cave up to reveal that oh my god it's the worst
tractor beam in the history of tractor beams
we can send the two guys down with pro pick we
ain't found shit yeah comb the desert The other
when when pyrons says swear to serve me we swear
it's like they I Know they've turned it know
he's turned him in the mindless zombies, but
it's like they have zero disinterest in actually
serving him I Don't know. Did you have anything
for out of the dark? Very little it's just it's
just a very run -of -the -mill Setup episode
it's I don't I don't remember it even having
a plot it was just kind of like like we're gonna
introduce all the characters in one shot except
yeah, actually, I think they got all of them
except for a couple but I Don't remember a story
actually being there It was just like we're going
to name all the bad guys and all of the good
guys and that's the way it's gonna be the end
and this the other thing i want to talk about
with this show because i have i've only ever
heard of this cartoon i i don't i i have no The
reason why, not because it's not warranted, but
the reason why I'm being so hard on it is because
I've never... This wasn't something where I saw
an episode of back in the night, like Mortal
Kombat and Street Fighter when we did those.
I've seen several episodes of those in the past.
I've never seen this. I've never been exposed
to the games. I have no clue. So I'm coming to
this very fresh. That's why I'm being so critical
about it. And it's like... It's basically a villain
episode this first episode is basically like
hey Let's assemble all the villains and then
who the hell are the good get like where the
good guys like the whole the whole main intro
That I played the you know the whole Talk thing
like they they make it sound like the dark stalkers
are Supposed to be the heroes, but they're obviously
not it just yeah they basically just rounded
up all the villains and they said we're the dark
suckers roll credits and it's just kind of i
don't know i kind of lost track of what i was
going to say because i'm just so exasperated
um yeah uh characters would disappear just appear
on the on the screen for like a couple seconds
and say stupid things i'm sure i'm sure uh raptor
said something that was a quote of a song and
Anacara said, all hail the Imperial pudding.
I specifically wrote down, ugh. What else I can
think of? I know this is bad that I even know
this. What else I can think of is one of the
episodes of that Disney show, The Suite Life
on Deck, with Dylan and Cole Sprouse, where Dylan's
character, Zack, says, he salted my pudding cup
you don't solve a man's pudding cup one of the
one of the girls in the show says men don't eat
pudding cups that's all i can think of uh...
all the other thing is i just assume that this
was on us a cartoon express and i guess it wasn't
thank god it was like it was it couldn't it couldn't
match up to the high standards set by street
fighter in mortal combat i mean don't get me
wrong You know in USA's cartoon in USA cartoon
expresses later years they did lower the quality
a lot, but When I remember that that franchise
is at its heyday when they were you know doing
all the huckleberry hound Stuff and the scooby
stuff and all the all the all the fun cartoons
that we still like to watch every now and then
Alright, what would you I hate to even ask but
what would you rate the first out of the dark?
I have to give it a zero. It's not a story It's
just it's just like we're gonna name every character.
Yeah Nothing happened I'm gonna give it a 1 .5
only because I'm gonna give it a one and a half
only because I do like the voice acting. I think
it's really, really well done. And these, you
know, we know most of these guys. Gary Chalk,
Scott McNeil, Ian James Corlett, you know, Richard
Newman. So I'll give it a one and a half. All
right. Donovan's Bane. Harry and Felicia travel
to Great Britain to retrieve a ring that belongs
to his family line after being attacked by a
man who calls himself the Dark Hunter. Morgan
must travel to Britain to find an ancient family
heirloom that will grant her the power she needs
to defeat her new foe. All right, this one basically
reveals that she's a descendant or a daughter
or a granddaughter of Morgan Le Fay. Seriously?
Okay. Really? You're going to try to bring in
Arthurian legend into this show? Really? Why
not? They brought in... Oh, god damn it. What's
the name of that wizard? Merlin. They brought
in Merlin, so why not? Yeah, he gets revealed
at the end, but this was the episode that I made
the comment of, you're a wizard now, Harry. So
we get more set up in this, and we meet the character
of Donovan... Who basically assumes that all
dark stalkers are evil because apparently all
of them are and he basically wants to kill Felicia
no matter what Even when she tries to help him
she sees he still wants to kill her This show
One -dimensional characterization it's like they
don't even have Dimensionally, I kind of like
the bond that Harry and Felicia are like the
friendship bond that they're kind of trying to
Put there the 12 year old boy who walks around
with the sexy cat girl Hey, you know whatever
works, right? I wouldn't have complained back
then I Mean it's just I don't know Yeah, I mean
that so this episode turned none of its main
episode turns into a a search for the ring and
apparently they assume that Morgan or whatever
her name is the the Batley or Whatever she's
supposed to be they assume that she's coming
after his great great great great great great
great great grandfather's ring or whatever else
but apparently she's looking for her own ring
from her own bloodline so apparently by sheer
happenstance of convenience there are two rings
in this museum for each one for each party and
i see your shorts is as big as mine yeah that's
yeah so harry has the up shorts and she has the
down shorts In fact doesn't it end like that
like it turns out that the ring did nothing.
Yeah, I found it in a crackerjack box Yeah, the
ring does nothing and then in a later episode
He starts using he'd like the ring starts becoming
a compass or something. I This the show The only
thing Apparently Anna and Icarus his wife ran
off with a merman seriously really It just Folks
I just don't know what to say about this. I would
love to give you guys more in -depth analysis
for this show for this series, but Like Neil
said it's not to me. It's not even a one -dimensional
thing It's like it's like zero dimensions all
together like they try to do character development
and then they Redact it pretty much What would
you give Donovan's Bane? I'll be nice a little
one Give it a one. I'm gonna give it a one and
a half again for the voice acting still love
the voice acting The pyramid of power so this
is where we we meet to the The the gold Power
Ranger, I'm sorry Yeah, that would have been
almost better So this is where, let's see here.
They don't even have a summary for it on the
Darkstalkers wiki. What the hell? This was the
first episode to feature Victor Von Garraheim
as one of the main characters. This episode also
featured Klaus, a man who's family assisted in
the Garraheims for generations. So basically
this is, okay, this episode, this next episode
is... Wait am I lost here? Yeah, what episode
are you on? Yeah, I'm lost here folks. That's
ridiculous. Have you tried Harry Christian? Yeah,
I Just trying to God I went to the game for some
odd reason I had a triple H moment folks Alright,
so pyramid of power Morgan Demetri and Anna cares
travel back in time to find out what happened
to An ancient gem, Felicia senses that Ryuku,
a merman, is in trouble and... Coincidentally,
Harry's mom has to head to Cairo, Egypt as a
5 ,000 year old pyramid is seen mysteriously
floating over the desert city. Okay. Um... Hmm...
Just... No. The only cool thing is the Pharaoh,
the old Pharaoh, because he's constantly... He
reminds me of Eddie from Mega Man. I love Eddie,
but this guy... What a forgetful guy. All else
I can think of is when I see the war, the Egyptian
-Atlantean war, I'm like, when's Aquaman gonna
show up? Or when's Merman gonna show up? I was
biting my lip. I was gonna make a Merman joke
on the last episode. I mean seriously, we could
sit here and make sea spray jokes all day. That
was the next one. It introduces Ryuko a little
bit. It gives us more with the Pharaoh. It gives
us this whole thing with the gem. It somehow
makes the Pharaoh think that Felicius is dead
wife. Ladies and gentlemen a soap opera has more
story development than this episode Anything
to say on pyramid of power pyramid power or whatever
it's calm Not a whole lot. Was this the episode
where they started the the major plot point that
Ryuko is is Curiously attractive even though
he isn't Mm -hmm. They just keep keep ramming
that into the ground I'm like what am I missing
here you know yeah he tries to they essentially
try to oh what's it yeah not they basically try
to Vega him and they don't really do it a good
job because let's face it Vega knows uh... they
have from street fighter believes he himself
to be so obvious why uses the mass but essentially
this is like any other cartoon character of this
this generation that is the bane all god ryu
you know who ryu ko is he's the merman version
of simon belmont's oh no captain in the game
master uh... at least it first is I assume zeros
for pyramid power? Yeah. Yeah. Okay, the game.
This is the one, this is the next one here on
this journey and I know we're dragging it out
folks and I'm sorry but I just gotta give you
guys content somehow. This is the game. In this
very ring, okay, that's enough. Yeah This is
not a slobberknocker I'll tell you that right
now folks There is no RKO out of nowhere here
What else does he say vintage this is not vintage
at all So, the cool thing with this is you got
Cheetor and James Corlett voicing Victor Von
Gerdung. So that's cool. But this episode is
essentially, the game episode is basically tearing
down the butler. One of the lines is, I couldn't
keep the castle clean without you. Are you kidding
me? Seriously? And then the whole thing turns
into a contest. It's like, hey, let's let's do
some sort of Mortal Kombat conflict Whoever captures
the most is my favorite. I'm like, oh god, no
And there are just too many bad jokes in this
episode like So many and then they're gonna try
to trap him in the freezer what? It just So the
game, what are your thoughts on the game? Well,
I was kind of hoping that it would be kind of
an allusion to the most dangerous game, which
is a movie whose plot has been ripped off time
and time again. And it wouldn't be out of question
for cartoons to rip it off because we've seen
it a ton of times. There was an episode of Transformers
that was like that, but this kind of isn't that.
It's more like the bad guys are just like Like
you said like oh, let's let's have a competition
to see who could capture the most good guys You
know it's And then throughout the episode the
quote -unquote mathematician Butler can sit You
know keeps trying to confuse the Pharaoh dude
with how many which person has and who actually
won it's like seriously Really gonna do that
I assume a double zero for this one? Yeah. Yeah.
Ladies and gentlemen, we're gonna take a quick
break because we're gonna give you something
that is much better than the next episode. Ladies
and gentlemen, without any further ado, John
Cougar Melon Can. I hope you enjoyed that musical
interlude of one of the best songs about walls
come tumbling down. While being turned down by
the talent agent Irving, Lord Raptor's guitar
senses something strange. Meanwhile, Pyron's
computer senses the trumpet of Jericho. Oh no.
Do you want to do it or do you want me to do
it? know where to start. Y2Jackass. Jackass.
I know you have not been watching wrestling much
recently. No. You do know that AJ Styles is now
in the WWE, right? I do know that. Which has
me wondering who the hell is in TNA. But that
can be saved for another podcast. Yeah, well
really quickly. The reason why I said the Y2
Jackass thing is because when AJ Styles came
into WWE, they had him go against Chris, and
then they had them team up, so it was Y2 AJ.
And then Chris Jericho decided to basically flip
on him. And he's basically just started chanting
his name, AJ Styles, to get back at him. AJ keeps
interrupting. AJ would keep interrupting his
matches saying, why to Jackass? It's a long form
of happy Gilmore. Jackass. Okay, so and the walls
come tumbling down. The trumpet of Jericho and
sends Anacaris to find it. Strangely, Harry's
ring, the ring of the black dragon, also senses
something. Harry and Fleisha go to investigate
the mystery. Okay, like I said my thinking of
the John Cougar melon camp song is pretty much
the only thing that really saves this for me
Apparently Felicia's in show business That I'll
go with that. I don't remember that ever being
said before this episode and Well, it's his name
Lord Raptor if I can't be the best rock star.
I'll be the loudest Someone please call Simon
Cowell. He needs a job This episode is by far
the worst episode so far I Mean so bad Just so
bad. I mean I could almost appreciate some of
the obscure rock references. He was making I'm
like like oh my god That's a rainbow reference
in a 90s or two like somebody remembered 70s
prog rock, but Other than that, oh my god All
the goddamn Song song lyric puns Mm -hmm. I mean
there's I don't think the wiki even like even
bothered making no they didn't they didn't even
bother noting them all this They're just too
infuriating What to even say I mean I hate Lord
Raptor in this cartoon so much. He's a one -note
joke that was not upon, I swear. I mean, I like
his voice. I mean, I like Scott McNeil doing
the character. Just the character is just so
written. We know, people, that the 90s was filled
with cheesy stuff. We get that but I mean come
on this was just Way too much cheese not enough
macaroni there is a a Bruce Dickinson song called
the wall called the trumpets of Jericho, which
is the the The chorus line is the trumpets of
Jericho, but still the walls remain It's a song
about failure basically and that basically encapsulates
this entire episode So it is a failure Mm -hmm
double zeros again double zeros double zeros
Up next is the second to last episode for us
here in part one of dark stalkers ghost hunter
Demetri and Morrigan notice there are hardly
any remaining Darkstalkers. Morrigan suspects
someone is hunting the Darkstalkers to extinction.
Harry finds a news article about a man who died
mysteriously in Cape Town, Africa, after telling
Felicia they decided to ask Ryuku to investigate.
Meanwhile, Lord Raptor is sent to investigate
a possible Darkstalker that could be recruited
for Pyron. let's see uh... what did i write down
for this one uh... oh so throughout this whole
series at least the first seven six seven episodes
uh... demetri and what's her nuts they have this
whole really weird childish brother sister kind
of fight back -and -forth relationship and he
in part of this episode he says something about
using his mind and she basically retorts what
mind Just This is the episode that were way too
many musical puns. I couldn't even count them
all and This episode also it basically turns
into what we already saw in Street Fighter with
Chun Li and bison This is basically. Oh, you
killed my family. I'm going to get my revenge
on you. It is that isn't it? Oh, yeah, it's Pretty
much that. Anything to say about Ghost Hunter?
Just really quickly about how do you pronounce
this character's name? I think it's like Sayanko.
I'm just going to go with that. She's based on
a type of... I think it's Chinese. It's a type
of movie vampire that... You know we talked about
this on animation fish not as I'm not really
good at like explaining what this is but it's
like it's like this hopping vampire zombie monster
that only appears in like Chinese lore and and
They show up in video games. There's like there's
an enemy like that in Super Mario land and the
fourth in the fourth world and It's in a couple
other video games, but that's basically what
she's supposed to be and they talk about Characters
misinterpreted. This is probably the most misinterpreted
character in the entire show. I mean, she just
looks like this weird monkey woman with these
big claws on her hands for no reason. Yeah, that
is very, very true. All right. I assume double
zeros. Double zeros. Last up today is Little
Bigfoot's last stand. Make it stop. Please make
it stop. Instead of teleporting Felicia, Pyron
has abducted Harry and Sasquatch's curious nephew,
Hairball. Oh no! His plans have changed, but
maybe for the good. Now Felicia has to find her
way onto Pyron's ship. The Bigfoot tribe also
have to figure out how to save a young Hairball.
I take it back. This is the most irritating character
in the show. Yeah Okay, this is your standard
Kidnapping cartoon Unintentional kidnapping cartoon,
I guess you could say We've seen this the time
we've seen it in mask we've seen it in in he
-man we've I'm sure there are a couple of times
that spike was kidnapped as a kid in Transformers
You know and This Nearly bro, just it's because
of the kid it really because he's that kid that
every cartoon whether 80s 90s whatever had Oh,
what's this button do? What's this button do?
One Easter egg, one Easter egg. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
he's the... Oh, God. I want an Easter egg. Can
we just review Easter eggs instead of this? Because,
wow, that's a better cartoon. Oh, my God. So
we end this podcast on Little Bigfoot's blast
stand. You got anything for Little Bigfoot? I
really wish it was his last stand. Same here.
I don't know how this is going to average out
with our grades and whatever else, but I almost
want to give this one a triple zero just by myself.
Oh my God. This cartoon is just this episode.
In this whole series to this point, we're seven
episodes into this thing. It really doesn't have
any real direction other than, oh my god, we
have to save the world from the Darkstalkers,
but Pyron's plots, his schemes are just so...
I mean, Pyron seems like the type of character
who would get hazed by Cobra Commander and Skeletor.
That's how lame he is. Yeah, pretty much and
and Cobra commander built a pyramid built a roller
coaster inside of a pyramid Come on Mean there.
Okay, so I know when we did the Street Fighter
episodes that I complained that they drug out
the The old cami storyline like that that whole
arc of hers where it was like hey, here's here's
part one Four episodes later. Here's part two
seven episodes. Here's here's the final episode.
Here's the final part There aren't even any kind
of like there are no connectors in this series
other than the cast but it's essentially turned
into Plot of the week villain of the week or
what's you know, what what's the bad idea this
week and like I mean I I'm gonna be doing Optimus
Solon are gonna be doing this next year, but
It's been years since I've seen new adventures
of He -Man I would rather watch that Skeletor
than watch any of these characters ever again
I mean that version of Skeletor at least had
the benefit of being somewhat based on on groucho
marks and didn't like it that mark but you know
it was it was amusing in its own little way so
that's uh... that's that's going to do it for
dark stalkers for one i don't remember was the
moral combat episodes of the street fighter episodes
where you were like folks just send us money
now after this yeah i don't often make a big
deal of this thing and yes podcasters supposed
to be free but you people always money after
watching this uh... we're going to take a quick
break come back uh... close the show after this
won't involved. Pyron wants us to work together
on something. And I figured that if I just beamed
you both to Egypt, you'd kill each other. Egypt?
Yes! Relax and enjoy yourself. Kingdoms of upper
and lower Ichi. May the hippopotamus of happiness
belch in your battle. May your royal nose putrefy
and fall into your soup. Most gracious, I'm sure.
What's going on? Byron's computer reminded him
of a gem of power that Anakaris used to possess
before he lost his marbles. Phew! That was long
ago. Do you even remember what it was like before
you lost your marbles, Anakaris? Marbles? Marbles,
girls, your... Hey, sparkly stones. The ancient
crystal -like capstone. Your sublime and celestial
highness, yes, Mirin Ruka? Too bad there was
never a Castlevania cartoon folks because we
would have rather have had that than watch this
