About this Episode

Neil and Mike finish their coverage of Mortal Kombat: Defenders of the Realm, reviewing the final six episodes of the series. They discuss "The Secret of Quan Chi," "Resurrection," "The Swords of Ilkan," "Amends," "Abandoned," and the series finale "Overthrown," along with their thoughts on the Mortal Kombat games from the original 1992 arcade release through MK4.

Hey, this is Ian James Corlett, and you're listening

to Pixels in the Animation. Much has changed

since the last Mortal Kombat tournament. Dark

forces of Outworld have begun invading the Earth

Realm. These attacks are seriously weakening

Earth's dimensional fabric, enabling not only

Outworlders to enter the Earth Realm, but warriors

from other domains as well. Only the most extraordinary

warriors could possibly meet this challenge.

Liu Kang. Princess Kitana. Sub -Zero. Jax. Sonya

Blade. Nightwolf. Kiva. Curtis Striker. Driven

by purpose and bound by honor. These are the

defenders of the realm. Hello and welcome to

the latest episode of pixels in the animation

I am one of your host here, Jeremiah and Jeremy

and this epic journey is TV's Mr. Neil Combat

continues again Yeah, sadly today we defend the

realm in Mortal Kombat part two. Oh God somebody

help us, please Think we're just gonna get right

into it folks. This is gonna be a three on three

or six on six review. We'll be back after this

Episode 8, The Secret of Quan Chi. The episode

marked Quan Chi's first appearance in any sort

of Mortal Kombat media. He later appeared in

the video games with Mortal Kombat Mythology

Sub -Zero and Mortal Kombat 4. Quan Chi comes

upon the gem of Tetsuri, a magic crystal in which

he is able to awaken all the evil in a human

soul. Using it... the sorcerer in disguise as

a refugee fleeing out world influences the earth

warriors and causes them to turn against each

other and the earth is now out of any defense

and would be conquered by quan chi if not for

night wolf who escaped the crystal's influence

and as night wolf who destroys the evil crystal

and ruins quan chi's black magic so this is an

episode where it's like They're doing a piss

-poor version of Ganon creating a clone of Zelda,

an evil clone that kisses Link, oh my god. I

was gonna say my favorite part of this episode

is when Optimus Prime opened the Matrix and cured

all the hate. I'm a Peppa, don't you want to

be a Peppa too? God, that retgar voice in that

episode is so horrible. So this is pretty standard,

folks. The villain gets an evil gem to usurp

the hero's souls and bring out their darkest

thoughts and feelings. This is so 90s. This is

so... I don't even know what to say about this

one, folks. I mean... It really is an emo episode,

because everyone's like, I hate everyone. I hate

you all. You guys suck. And Nightwolf's like,

knock it off, guys. Geez. I'm the computer guy,

I get my own episode now. I get to do stuff.

You know what really, they would have never done

this and I'm hoping by this time this had already

happened, I don't know if it did, but all I can

think of is what we really need in this episode

is Nightwolf on the forklift of randomness is

really what we need in this episode. I don't

know if the forklift of randomness had already

happened in WWF, but oh my god. Watching WWF

back in 1996 was more enjoyable than this episode.

Wow. Of course, back then it was actually good.

I don't know, it was 1996, that's kind of the...

That's the year I stopped watching it. Like,

okay, my heart lost the title, I'm not watching

it anymore. Yeah, but you compare it to 2015,

come on. True. I mean... Triple H winning then

whatever anyway Oh Wow Seriously, I I I can't

call you Roman Reigns. That's just not even What

did you think of the Quan Chi had you had you

had any experience with the character before

this or? I think I dabbled in Mortal Kombat 4

a little bit and I'm like, yeah this game is

So, Quan Chi basically means nothing to me. It's

just kind of this guy that appeared after Mortal

Kombat 3. Yep. What would you give this one for

a rating as far as the episode goes? Well, by

my empathy, I guess I'll just go with a one.

Really? Wow. I'm more cruel than you, apparently.

It's my first zero. I did not care for this episode

at all. None of the character conflicts, nothing

about this episode. If I want to hear or watch

emo Luke Perry, I'll watch episodes of Beverly

Hills 90210. I mean, seriously. All right. Resurrection.

Resurrection. Shao Kahn resurrects Shang Tsung

and entrusts him with the sphere that controls

the elements of nature, fire, wind, water, earth,

and heart. Wait, no, wrong show. We could really

use Mati in this cartoon, actually, if you really

think about it. It'd probably make it a little

bit better. Shang Tsung is the most suitable

person to possess the sphere because the more

malicious the master is the stronger the magic

sphere becomes dun dun dun. So this is Shang

Tsung versus Raiden and didn't we already see

this? Um I don't think so. No I don't mean the

cartoon I just I don't know just feels like It's

just crazy. All right. Oh, let's see notes for

this one would be The worst thing about this

series is Classic characters like Shang Tsung

not having their movie actors do the voice once

again the voice for Shang Tsung It's it's not

It's not soft Michael Jackson sounding voice

like like scorpion, but it's more like it Hey,

I'm your classic, regular, unoriginal villain

of the week. Oh wait, maybe I'm Beavis. Oh god,

it's just so horrible. Now this is a very special

episode because this had a plot line that ran

through four different cartoons. The Street Fighter

cartoon, the Savage Dragon cartoon, this, and

then Wing Commander Academy. Because it had it

had a plotline with the orb and like the orb

kept traveling from show to show and this guy

I forget his name, but he he was chasing it.

He was in all four shows and This is the show

that it was like the biggest non -secret or because

he only shows up the end and he's only his silhouette

Damn well, that's so yeah, and if you watch this

show it like I said, it just comes off as a total

non -secret or it's like What the hell was that?

Yeah Anything else on Shang? What did you think

of Shang Tsung's return? Didn't care. He doesn't

sound cool. He doesn't look cool. He doesn't

even get to do what he normally does in this

episode, which is to be the shapeshifter. He's

like, I have a crystal and that's his thing here.

and then he kind of like plots against uh well

i think he plotted against the uh sheo khan a

little bit in this one so he's kind of like star

scream oh chris lotta yeah yes how we miss you

the funny thing about this one is you have master

splinter as a shadow priest you have peter renaday

as the voice of one of the shadow priests No,

I thought it I was like, you know you switch

Peter Rennaday with the act whoever the hell

the actor is it's voicing shanks like Peter Rennaday

as That that deep booming voice that he has that

he uses right that would have been awesome as

Shane I would have loved this episode Because

that would have given Shang Tsung an actual really

cool voice if you can't get Carrie Tagala But

yeah this one. Yeah, I'm gonna give it a two.

What about you? Yeah, I'll give it a two All

right, let's see here we have the swords of Ilkan

So this one is Katana Begins of the battle between

Katana and Amazon leader Zara in the realm of

Ilkan Following the death of Katana's mentor

Ramoth a guard arrives in time Okay, I know I

said earlier, and it is noted on the Wikipedia

article that they make absolutely zero mention

of Sindel or Melina or... any of the other characters

or any other plot lines dealing with Katana in

either one of the movies. But holy crap, before

they revealed that it was some chick named Zara,

I really thought that was going to be Sindel

at first, when I first saw the character come

on screen. I actually would have preferred it

if it was. Oh, this episode is like, hey, we

have two swords and they're most powerful unless

they're at opposite ends of the earth. So yeah,

they're looking for the attorney of twin swords

Yeah, this is basically the Thelma and Louise

episode or no No, actually I know it came after

this but I like this episode better when it was

an episode of Justice League and Like all the

women had to save the men. Oh That was really

good two -parter this not so much and thankfully

not a two -parter Yes, thankfully there are no

two -parters in this series. So Zara has the

down shorts and Kitana has the up shorts. The

two swords, the two shorts rings, I don't know.

I know I'm grasping at straws people because

this cartoon is so fucking bad. Rating? One.

Yeah, same here. I bet people are listening to

this wondering why are they even doing this?

It's not I don't know I know Well, I thought

I thought we were gonna have some entertaining

like I thought we were gonna be able to tear

this damn thing to shreds and have some entertaining

kind of I don't know something I'm trying to

be funny. No, you are no I'm just saying I'm

saying I thought there would be more entertainment

here, but because this cartoon is just so I think

when you listen back to this, you'll realize

how funny this is. We just don't care. We're

struggling, people. And it's not even worth struggling

to care. We're struggling to fix. I don't even

know. Episode 11 amends. Sonya and Sub -Zero

go on a date. I'm sorry, that's not right. Sonya

and Sub -Zero go out to find the... the plan

of the Black Dragons, but they are attacked in

an abandoned theater. Sonya is wounded but rescued

by a former member of the Black Dragon, Kabal.

Years ago, he was one of the best warriors in

his clan, but Shao Kahn, fearing Cabal's possible

conversion to the side of good, therefore ordered

his warriors to destroy him by a miracle. Cabal

survived his fight with hired killers, but his

face was viciously scarred and he was forced

to thereafter rely on a respirator while concealing

his face behind. So Cabal is Darth Vader. No,

actually he's uh, well, yeah kind of but he's

also the phantom of the opera in this episode

because they're in an abandoned theater He's

wearing a mask ugly Yeah, reminds me of that

is it was it Mel was it Mel Gibson that did the

the man without a face or something or other

I don't know so Just a note on here on the Wikipedia

article apparently one rerun of a men's aired

during the fifth annual UNICEF International

Children's Day of Broadcasting The story of cabal

almost exactly follows his mk3 story where he

is portrayed as a protagonist minus the subplot

of Kano's betrayal Lord um I have no notes for

this cuz I don't know what I was playing the

games So cabal was in mk3, right? Right. Yeah

When I was playing think when I was playing mk3,

I never picked cabal. I don't know what it was,

but I just care I just wasn't even that I didn't

like the character. It's just a character I never

really like I was either Liu Kang or sub -zero

or Kitana or whoever though I don't remember

all they had in those games now anymore mk3 was

like the weird one where they introduced a bunch

of characters you didn't care about and took

away all the ones you did They took away Scorpion

and Raiden and Donny Cage and all the characters

you wanted to play as and they left you with

the robots and Nightwolf. I never liked Nightwolf

either. You must find your animality, Liu Kang.

Oh boy. Any anything else you want to say about

amends cuz I have no notes for this episode.

It was just weird weird episode. I have nothing

to say rating Zero is really uninteresting Yeah,

I'm right there with you double zero So we are

gonna take a quick break come back with episodes

12 and 13 after this It's Decian the superhero

webcomic. Decian's got superhero antics and sexy

girls. Read it now at Decian .com. D -A -S -I

-E -N .com. All right, final two episodes. Abandoned

is up next. Jax is tired of the endless battles

and he elects to quit the team, retiring to his

deceased grandfather's isolated cabin. There,

he makes the acquaintance of a girl named Ruby,

voiced by Cree Summer, who is secretly working

as one of Shao Kahn's agents. She tries to find

out the location of the Earth Warrior's base,

Jax then finds himself captured by Irmaq's forces

and is imprisoned in a cave under Shao Kahn's

castle, where he was put for torture. His comrades

set out to rescue him. but are outnumbered by

Khan's troops and are surrounded. It seems that

their destruction is inevitable, but at this

moment, Ruby decides to help the Earth warriors

by leading them through the hidden exit. Jax

realizes that the peaceful life is impossible

while Earth is exposed to the danger from another

realm and returns to the squad. Oh, God, somebody

shoot me now. Yeah, that the resolution that

you just read. is what I was thinking at the

beginning of the episode. I'm like, what do you

mean you're retiring? Where are you going to

go? Where are you going to go? What are you going

to do? It's like the whole Earth is being invaded

by Outworld. Where are you going to retire? Yeah.

I mean, unless it was like one of those old West

things where the guy just rides off in the sunset

with a shotgun, I could accept that. But no,

he thought he was just going to go settle down

in a cabin. Was jit was jade a character at this

point or no jade was a character ruby was not

see if they had used the name ruby and Hat cuz

doesn't know jade doesn't have shape -shifting

powers does I see If they had made that character

jade it would have been a hell of a lot better

because I know Cree summer could pull that voice

off but um yeah and as far as the episode title

abandoned he just abandons the team that like

this cartoon is killing us folks send money now

operators are standing by rating on this one

zero Yeah, I'm right there with you. I mean,

it's a it's a Jax centric episode. We already

had a Jax centric episode. We don't need another

one. We don't need to see him in his retirement,

his grandfather's cabin. Like they could have

take, like I said, if they had done. But you

know, they can't because Annihilation hadn't

come out yet, but if they had put Liu Kang. in

ruby as instead of using ruby use jade if they

had done that of course then it would just feel

weird from the movies and she's in the movie

as well but just something different something

without jax because jax just isn't a character

that you really want to get to know that well

you know i i was so not caring at this point

i don't remember did he have his cybernetic arms

on the whole time did he retire with his arms

on yes he retired even in retirement I need my

arms I'm no good without them I just want to

superglue them damn things to his ass all right

overthrown is the 13th and final episode we're

here it's almost over thank God In the series

finale, the defenders of the realm prepare for

the final battle with Shao Kahn's forces on the

anniversary of the unfortunate death of Jerod,

the king of... Edenia? Huh. And Kitana's father.

They anxiously await the confrontation, but Liu

Kang shows more apprehension because a victory

would mean that Kitana would have to leave the

team to rule Edenia. Kitana brokers an agreement

with Shiva's Shokan warriors. but she does not

know that she is in fact Shang Tsung, who transformed

into look -like Shiva. Kitana and the rebellion

forces break into Shao Kahn's castle and demand

that Shao Kahn hands over his rule to the princess.

Suddenly Shang Tsung appears with the warriors

and the real Shiva. of the real Shiva, and the

sorcerer is also after the throne of Outworld,

but Shang... but Sung forgets one thing. Shiva

and the Shogun also have enemies in Outworld.

Raiden finds out Shang Sung's plan and disrupts

the fight. The God of Thunder brings with him

the worst enemy of Shiva, Motaro. Oh my god.

These two. The centaur and the chick with four

arms. I remember seeing them in Annihilation

and all I can think of is, wow. They'd make a

cute couple. They bitch and bitch and bitch and

bitch at each other. Like a married couple. Yup.

The final parts of it. The instruction may have

failed, but the realm of Earth has not fallen

and Mortal Kombat continues. It is unknown what

happens next as the series ends. It's the only

episode that features different animation than

that was of a higher quality. I didn't notice

that much of a difference honestly, did you?

Nope. Nope. The only cool things about this one,

you have John Rhys Davies as Asgarth. Whatever

the hell that is. I don't remember that character.

Yep. I don't know. So. Overthrown. Shang Tsung

wasn't really overthrown that much. I mean...

They just left... Well, I think they're referring

to Shao Kahn being overthrown. I mean, yeah,

that's... But he wasn't that overthrown. I wasn't

Shang Tsung gonna take over because Kitana goes

back to Earth with Lu. It's not like they really

saved the day here. They just left the battle.

They left that world to be more... Don't know

I guess Shao Kahn didn't like us talking bad

about him because wow that was weird But it's

like this It's it's not even oh, sorry Mario

your princess is another castle She goes back

to earth with Lou and they just leave Shao Kahn

in power It's like outworld is becoming you know

always even bigger wasteland. They don't even

try to say oh, we're gonna make it better Rating

on this one one I guess I'll give it a two only

because it was a little I don't did you notice

any difference in the animation cuz I know but

I think I was like really apathetic at this point

and it's just limping to the finish line Yeah,

like it's over. It's over. Yeah. I'm gonna give

it a two for a series finale So we're gonna take

a quick break come back with final thoughts And

we're actually gonna be talking about the Mortal

Kombat games a little bit at least a classic

game. Yep So we'll be back After this... I am

shocked and dismayed. Well now you can't be both.

You be shocked, I'll be dismayed. Coming in 2016,

Steve Megachon and myself, TF2 and Mike bring

you a brand new TV review show. Welcome to Podcaster

Meets World. That's right, we're launching a

Boy and Girl Meets World review podcast here

podcast to review all 158 episodes of Boy Meets

World. After that we will tackle girl meets world.

You can find podcaster meets world on geekcastradio

.com and iTunes starting late summer early fall

2016 So come on and walk through the world with

us Alright folks we're gonna make it up to you

because we didn't really um talk too much about

things, but we're gonna talk about the games

here in Mortal Kombat This series Wow It's had

a lot of games over the years it First debuted

Mortal Kombat 1992 Wow basically a response to

Street Fighter Yeah true very true a More violent

response to Street Fighter The original game

seven playable characters who would eventually

become the trademark characters and appear in

the sequels Let's see We got Sonya blade Kano

Raiden sub -zero Johnny Cage scorpion You know

that's i wish they were all and i think now they

can look is johnny killed him is a that would

have made this series even better if they were

all in the in the cartoon series but obviously

that will not work since they're trying to follow

the logic yes uh... boy what was your uh... favorite

uh... moral combat character to always use as

in the original game uh... Probably it's high

between scorpion sub -zero and Raiden just because

all three of them kind of had Street Fighter

ish moves Kind of that were easy to remember

like some of the ones that were like like You

had to go like up left down, you know, whatever

It was like weird patterns that you had to memorize

and I just didn't get into other characters Yeah

For me, it was Liu. I was using Liu Kang. I tried

using Johnny a few times, and I like using Sub

-Zero too. Actually, I do kind of like Liu Kang.

He had the easiest finishing move of all of them.

You just rotate the directional pad. He did the

somersault punch, I guess you could call it.

Did he have the fireball in the first game, or

was it the second game? I think he had fireballs

in all the games. Yeah, the first Yeah, so in

Mortal Kombat 2 I You know the funny thing is

about this one My my old apartment where I used

to live actually still has The laundry mat that's

right behind the building Actually still has

an arcade cabinet with mk2 in it So every time

I go in there I'm transported back to 1993 Oh

my god 92 and 93 It's just so crazy How much

of Mortal Kombat 2 did you end up playing? A

little bit of it like I kind of implied I'm more

of a Street Fighter guy so Mortal Kombat games

didn't really resonate with me that much But

actually the coolest thing about the Mortal Kombat

game is just the fact that Midway would kind

of fuck with the fans like like someone found

the The I guess you'd call it like the check

some screen or whatever. But what it had was

it had like a series of It was basically like

like just cataloging all the things happen in

the game Like how many times did it crash? How

many times did it did it glitch or whatever?

and then it would count how many times you got

to Goro and and a reptile. It would count how

many times you got the reptile. And then there

was Ermac. And Ermac was just error macro. It's

like one of the glitches in the games. But kids

didn't understand that. They thought it was a

character. So Midway was like, OK, let's let

them think that. And there were like fake pictures

of Ermac that would get onto the, not onto the

internet, but like out into the magazines. They

fucked with people even more in Mortal Kombat

2 You know making up characters that weren't

really in the game and shit like In Mortal Kombat

3 actually rain was one of those you you see

him. I think you actually see him in one of the

one of the what you call the The attract modes

you just see this purple ninja, but he's really

not in the game at all And he didn't he didn't

become playable until the home versions Yeah

For Mortal Kombat 2, the main characters we have

are Liu Kang, Kung Lao, Johnny Cage, Reptile,

Sub -Zero, Shang Tsung, Kitana, Jax, Melina,

Baraka, Scorpion, and Raiden. Mortal Kombat 3

has the new player characters Syrax, Cabal, Nightwolf,

Sektar, Sindel, Shiva, Striker. Well, so that's

where striker came from he came out of three,

okay, and then obviously returning Jax Kano Kung

Lao Liu Kang Sonya blade sub -zero Shang Tsung

smoke so no Johnny Cage this this game. Yeah,

this was when Johnny Cage actor got fired And

smoke was uh was actually a hidden character

in the game like you had to do some goofy combination

to get him and like Yeah, that's basically it.

He was like he was just a pallet. Yeah, it was

a pallet swap of the other ninjas, but he smoked.

Yeah Yeah, he's unlocked Yeah, he's unlocked

by the ultimate combat code. Whatever that is.

Yeah With this game, I remember playing this

one more than the first two and I Loved playing

as Sindel. I thought Sindel was awesome. I Mean

any chick that uses her hair as a weapon. I mean,

that's cool, right? Yep Good glad you agree the

boss characters in this are mortaro which is

stop -motion and Shao Kahn Which is interesting

For Mortal Kombat 4 we have what's the difference

between? Three and ultimate three ultimate three

they added in all the ninjas again So all the

pallets have ninjas like like scorpion and sub

-zero and rain all those guys were back in and

And then there was another update called Mortal

Kombat trilogy where they put they put back in

Raiden and There were three characters that came

back in Raiden Baraka and Johnny Cage and They

put the bosses in from the first two games. So

yeah, you could have Goro and Kentaro both playable.

Oh Yeah, it was it was a pretty cool thing the

N64 version technically did not have playable

bosses but you can unlock them with a code and

you can even glitch them so you can play them

in like the arcade mode which you normally couldn't

do and if you played as if you played as Motaro

he was a total bastard in the N64 version because

he would hit you four times and you'd be dead

and he was unblockable and I could glitch him

into the game every single time and just just

I would go through the absolute hardest mode

in the game and just completely clean the game's

clock. It was ridiculous. In 1997, I believe,

is when MK4 came out. MK3 and 4 are the ones

that I most remember playing. Especially MK4,

I remember playing this all the time, because

the graphics at this point had gotten so much

better. At least for these games they did. New

characters, we have Fujin, which is Raiden's

friend. Jarek, the last member of the Black Dragon

after Kano's supposed death. Kai, a Nepalese

Shaolin monk and friend of Liu Kang. Meat? Don't

remember me. I think he was kind of a jokey character.

He's not like immediately in the Ross. Oh, he's

he's unlockable. Yeah Quan Chi serious evil sorcery

yadda yadda yadda Rico's Shinnok's general shock

the fallen elder God Shinnok appears both his

playable character and the final boss of the

game After originally appearing in world combat

mythology sub -zero also as the final boss and

you have Tanya trader to Adina returning Goro,

Jax, Jenna Cage, Liu Kang, Noob, Sabot, who?

Noob, Sabot. Yeah, the Undealt, the Elder, Sub

-Zero, okay, so it's, he, Raiden, Reptile, Scorpion,

Sonya, and Sub -Zero, the brother. You know,

I just caught that Raiden's friend is called

Fujin. I swear to God there are so many video

games usually from Japan where there is a character

called Raiden and Fujin and and Raiden is always

the the lightning guy and Fujin is the wind guy

and It's just kind of a thing and it's kind of

funny that Mortal Kombat latched onto that Yep,

it's kind of cool After four they've had numerous

games over the years and I haven't Really played

any of them I Take that back. I think I played

maybe two or three levels of Mortal Kombat versus

DC universe. That was kind of cool The most recent

game is Mortal Kombat X have you had any experience

with this or no? Characters in this one new playable

characters are listed in bogey alien Cassie cage,

I guess Johnny cage had a kid or a sister Jackie

Briggs Jason Voorhees. Oh, yeah Yeah leather

face predator Trimmer all they're missing is

is is I'll be back of the Terminator. Yeah For

characters, we know Kung Lao Katana Liu Kang

Melina Quan Chi Raiden reptile scorpion Shinnok

Sonya blade Tanya sub -zero Kano Kenshi Jack's

Goro Bo -rai Cho. I don't is that your Mac? I

Mean I like the Mortal Kombat franchise, but

yeah, I'm I'm pretty stuck on on certain things

with certain games and one of the things I usually

end up getting stuck on is Liking one character

or or another And pretty much throughout the

series I love Liu Kang and one of the reasons

I think I think it was by either three or four

is when they introduced his bicycle kick I love

the bicycle kick. It's a nice move. It's just

so fun. It's just so funny. I forget if it's

three or four that that it was introduced. I'm

pretty sure it's three. I thought it was before

that. I don't know. It might be in two. I don't

know. Yeah, I think it is in two because yeah,

because two is it's just the sound effect the

voice actor makes. And it's so ridiculous looking

because he just moves. Perfectly horizontally

across the screen in midair doing the bicycle

kick First this is a this the game where people

shoot energy beams, but still it looks it looks

silly I Tell you one person and I know everyone's

gonna hate me for this because everyone hates

a certain 90s franchise, but The one person that

perfected the bicycle kick and then turned into

a corkscrew kick is Tommy Oliver from Mighty

Morphin Power Rangers the movie. Like the side

bicycle kick he did in the movie was kind of

fucking awesome. And no, I've always liked playing

as Lou and Johnny Johnny Cage just I don't know

he Johnny just he was funny because he had the

dick punch. Which by the way, that was the sad

thing about Mortal Kombat trilogy because they

were using all Mortal Kombat 3 characters, all

the sprites of Mortal Kombat 3 and none of them

had the frames where they grabbed their crotch

in pain. So when they added Johnny Cage back

in, they had to take that move out because otherwise

they would have to like get everyone back in

the costume and would they even match? Would

they even look the same? I don't know. Yeah,

it's it's just crazy. I mean the game franchise

is cool There have been some missteps along the

way with with games in the last I would say ten

years or so But I'm sure we can all still go

back to the original four games and still have

a lot of fun Yeah, because I remember three and

four were games were because at this point in

my life I was in States custody. I was in group

homes. So If the group home had a PlayStation

or if it had whatever system I don't even remember

what what systems the games were on off top legs

already closed out the information But I remember

all of us, you know, just sitting around taking

turns playing as different characters, especially

Mortal Kombat 4 Oh god, we love that game. What

were you gonna say earlier? Well, I was just

gonna say about the character selection in in

all Mortal Kombat games is that it's really kind

of hit or miss like we we both had Characters

that we instantly went to and didn't really go

outside of that bubble and that's really kind
