Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3 Episodes 10-12 Review
About this Episode
It is a legend no one will forget. Everyone thought
King Koopa had left the Mushroom Kingdom. And
then, his Doomship attacked. King Koopa was back.
With the greatest danger ever known, his Koopa
Kings. Using their new superpowers, the Super
Mario Brothers rescued Princess Toadstool and
beat back the evil Koopa family. Hello and welcome
to the latest episode of Pixels in the Animation.
I am one of your hosts, your turn, Mike, and
joining me in this epic journey right back to
the Mushroom Kingdom is TV's Mr. Nail. Oh, brother.
Yeah, I know, right? Honestly? That's probably
the best one out of the three honestly. Oh my
god. I mean honestly come on now it probably
is. It probably is but that's not saying much.
I know, I know. So a couple of things, a couple
of quick things. If people go over to geekcastradio
.com and you look at our main page, okay. You
scroll down right under the featured banner where
you see all the current sliding episodes. There's
the latest GCR episode featuring Marku42's Hooniverse
podcast. There's Altered Geek Live. There's Off
the Cuff, Episode 55. There's the ALS Ice Bucket
Challenge. There is the Thomas Crown Affair for
Amwire. Heavy is the head that wears the crown
when it comes to Starscream inside the pull bag
etc etc etc You'll see a schedule there below
that slider that says the geekly weekly content
schedule If you notice something on there off
the cuff and pixels in the animation now share
the same day Thursday So from now until the end
of the podcast Thursday will be the day that
we release the show because We had to move schedule
We had to move stuff around we had to Some shows
are on hiatus that are on this schedule some
aren't summer endings summer You know just kind
of there at this point And we had to do something
where we try not to have more than two different
podcasts per day So having To cast beyond even
though it's on hiatus at this point, but it's
coming back The pull bag and pixels in the animation
all on Wednesday Just kind of didn't make any
sense and I figured oh this will make sense Have
the general video game podcast and have us the
video game cartoon podcast on the same day that
way people can you know we can cross promote
between off the cuff and us and People can you
know pick and choose what they'd like to listen
to and we could make side remarks about them
playing Battletoads Oh, God, I need to bring
that up to them. Oh, man. Um, Wednesday Nights
is their live show on Google Hangout, so... Um,
but, uh... Another thing. I've been going over
the pixels in the animation schedule, and...
At this moment, on this date, August 22nd, 2014,
which is Neil's, like, I don't know, 27th, 28th
birthday, I'll go with that. On this date, August
22nd, 2014, there is not a full, complete series
collection for Donkey Kong Country. There are
a couple of single -disc DVDs that have a few
episodes here and there. I know we could always
torrent it, but... Honestly, if by the time we
get to Donkey Kong Country we can't find a legal
copy of it We're probably gonna need something
to fill those 13 podcast episodes so we can actually
hit the 100 episode mark that I had planned out
Neil and I behind the scenes have thrown out
a few suggestions to each other Making both of
us cringe at the same time. I got to find something
that I can fit in to 13 podcasts. So I know people
have asked in the past if we would ever do a
poll position or Pac -Man or Heaven forbid Battletoads,
but Battletoads wouldn't work because that was
only one season, right? Or was it only one episode?
I don't even remember honestly. It was only one
episode. If we wanted to, we could do like one
episode of this podcast where we just do like
failed pilots and do like... Yeah, we could do
that. Battletoads, Bubsy, and I'm sure I can
find a third. Yeah, we could do something like
that. So as much as I really am interested in
going back and looking and seeing how awful or
mediocre Donkey Kong Country is, if by the time
we get to it in the schedule, we've got... Let
me see here. What do we have? We've got Donkey
Kong Country. see we've got Super Mario World
coming up after this we've got and then we've
got Sonic and I think Mega Man no we've got Super
Mario World Mega Man and then the no it's Super
Mario World Mega Man then Donkey Kong Country
if by episode 57 we can't find all of Donkey
Kong Country so we'd be able to watch the episodes
We're going to scrap that entire plan and come
up with something else. I honestly am kinda surprised
but not surprised that the entire series is not
on DVD. I mean, they put everything else out
on DVD. I don't know why they haven't done Donkey
Kong Country yet. Maybe it is that bad. It's
pretty bad. Is it worse than Super Show? That's
a toss -up. um... so yeah from episode fifty
seven to i think it's episodes seventy i think
that's what it is episode fifty seven to seventy
which is all of donkey kong country plus the
recap episode uh... so it's thirteen episodes
if you guys can email us suggestions feedback
at geekcastradio dot com use the uh... pita suggestion
uh... in the subject line uh... email us let
us know What you'd like to hear us cover it has
to be able to fit within 13 podcasts now That
could be us doing If it's a third if it's something
like Zelda that was 13 episodes and we just do
one cartoon episode per podcast Oh, well, it's
gonna be an awfully short show each time around
but uh... something that fits within thirteen
podcasts so again send this email feedback at
the cast radio dot com in the subject line put
pita suggestions uh... i know people have asked
us about pole position people asked us about
uh... uh... was there a cubert cartoon yeah i
was part of saturday supercai okay well maybe
we could do like saturday supercai or something
yeah If worse comes to worse, I'll see if we
can make Defenders of the Realm fit into that
13 podcasts thing. Trying to kill me. Oh please,
if Super Show didn't kill us. Hell, by the end
of Super Show, we didn't want to do any of this
anymore after all, but at least Zelda was a shining
light in the darkness. So, so yeah, that's the
plan. We are now on Thursdays every other Thursday
and we are looking for suggestions to fit into
episode 57 to 70 of the podcast if we cannot
get Donkey Kong Country all in one place watched.
So there you go with the announcements. What
have you been up to and as of this recording
today is your birthday, sir. Happy birthday.
Thank you. Yes. I can tell you're so thrilled
about it. I've been out of town for various reasons
that I'm not going to go into. Right, right.
I don't know, just trying to keep up on top of
things. My comic has just run out of its buffer,
so the front page might be static for a while.
But not for too long, I don't think. apparently
since our little hiatus last week and the release
of this episode this week I went ahead and I
wasn't gonna do this but I went ahead and threw
your sketch of me up on Facebook and Google Plus
and everywhere else and everybody on Facebook
is like oh my buddy Chris Sunday on Facebook
is like oh my god you look like Gwildor I'm like
oh god no Oh god. Just give me a cosmic key.
Thank you very much. Alright, we're gonna get
into the three episodes today. Tag Team Travel,
Oh Brother, and Misadventure. See, I think that's
a... I don't think that's a mistitled episode,
but I think it should say Misadventures of Mighty
Plumber, because it just sounds better to me.
But we're gonna get into the episodes after this.
I'll be glad to hand over this money. A million
gold coins. Big responsibility. Ha ha ha ha ha
ha. Shh. You mustn't laugh at Toad. Without this
money we... First up today we have Tag Team Trouble.
Mario and Luigi enter a wrestling match so they
can get the prize money to Toad to make up for
the donation to the Mushroom Orphanage he believes
he lost. Feels like we've been down this road
before. I guess I shouldn't say this about a
cartoon character, but it is a cartoon and video
game character after all. I found it kind of
Silly that Toad is Is he I don't know about the
writer for this one because it's like he told
you know loses the gold coins even though the
mushroom orphanage actually got them and he sees
this thing that Koopa is carrying around and
Koopa throws it in the trash and We don't actually
see what it says on it I mean, well not not at
first not until Toad picks it up. He picks it
up He says whoop -de -doo a wrestling tournament
and then he stops for a half second actually
gets a thought in that mushroom brain of his
The first prize 1 million gold coins whoop -de
-doo. It's like oh my god, seriously 1 million
gold coins And he gave it all to that orphanage
that orphanage is gonna be like in the money
for quite some time Yeah, 1 million gold coins
is what he thought he lost and Then at the end
of all of the episode come to find out He didn't
lose it that they actually got it now because
he won because because they won the the wrestling
match They now have 2 million gold coins that
orphanage is Must be the Beverly Hills of the
Mushroom Kingdom either that or they just have
like a big inflation problem that They're like,
oh we just we just you know Made all our bills
for this month or it seemed like they just they
just squeaked by and in spite of the fact They
just made 1 million gold coins. Yeah. Yeah It's
a little silly The plot is This plot is the oldest
or at least one of the oldest in the book Where
you think you know one of the characters is screwed
up and fell asleep and somebody stole the money
and now he has to do some you know desperate
thing to get it back and This feels like it dates
all the way back to the Flintstones Literally,
I mean it it kind of does because I think there
was an episode of the Flintstones Where they
had to enter a wrestling contest of some sort
to make money I'm sure I'm sure That said I do
like the The in -ring performance at least I
mean this is something that they could adapt
nowadays into WWE slam city I don't know if this
was better or worse than scooby -doo and the
WrestleMania mystery I Saw that the other day.
I finally saw that the other day and wow at least
this was shorter I was so disappointed in that
because Vince McMahon was not the bad guy because
that would have been great. It was me Scooby.
It was me all along Yeah Yeah, I I don't know
I honestly don't know It's just one of those
things where and it's so funny because he gets
his cousins who are the but it's it's his version
of the bash brothers I guess or something like
that and it's like wow it honestly you know what
the saddest thing is you know they remind me
of the Dudley boys if only there was tables in
that ring that would be amazing This episode
was alright. I don't know. What did you think
overall of the plot? I cringe whenever there's
wrestling in a cartoon. For some reason, it's
the one sport that they can never seem to get
right. I mean, it's like, what were the rules
in this match? At one point, they were going
to declare the Sledge Brothers the winners and
then the Mario Brothers suddenly hop back in
the ring. I'm like... you know i'm pretty sure
even though wrestling is fake i'm pretty sure
that once you declare start to declare someone
the winter the winner you can't just like start
the the match over yeah i'm just kind of a all
-around kind of a hard episode to watch plus
it was a goddamn toad episode god damn it why
Why was this made? I'll say it's one of his better
ones. It's not a good episode by any stretch
of the imagination, but it's one of Toad's better
episodes, and he's had some pretty awful ones
in the past. A Christmas episode. Oh, don't remind
me. Santa! Alright, let's get to these super
leaves after this. The next time the princess
needs someone to deliver a million gold coins
to the mushroom orphanage, I'm on vacation! Alright,
so for some super leave moments, um, it's just
a silly old wrestling match. The princess apparently
is not into wrestling. I guess not. I've been
desperate in certain times in my life, but It's
strangely humorous to me to see toad this desperate
It's I don't know maybe I have you know some
sort of sick twisted mind, but it just like He's
gonna do anything he can to make this right now
if he would have just This is actually part of
my, um, pitui moments, but if you would have
just knocked on the damn door and asked them,
this whole episode would be solved in like five
minutes. Or, well, five seconds or less. Um,
burn baby burn is the new mega move. Oh, that,
that pretty much, uh, that's pretty much how
I feel. Burn baby burn. Burn the archives of
this show. I do, I do like the Koopas when Cheatsy
and, is it Cheatsy? Yeah, it's Cheatsy and Koopa
when they get thrown into the ring and they just
start, you know, bouncing off the ropes. I did
like that. I thought that was kind of cool. And
Toad at the end just, it's just laugh out cringe
-worthy hilariousness because he's like, oh geez
that entire even he kind of says that oh geez
it's almost like none of this had to happen and
it's true as far as the plot goes if he would
have just knocked on the damn door none of this
episode would have had to happen any other good
moments for you uh i have one where it's like
it's almost like a jaws of the revenge sort of
so bad it's funny sort of thing where chichi
said something to koopa like uh uh the mario
brothers are going to or no it was before the
mario brothers got involved it was like uh toad's
team tag team is gonna foil our our our scheme
of winning winning the prize money i'm like since
when is winning prize money a scheme because
it seemed like they they had a very honest sort
of uh scheme of like winning a tag team match
where like they weren't even like they weren't
even like plotting the cheat yet so i thought
that was kind of funny Yeah, and they do say
that Cheatsy has all these traps rigged around
the ring. While wrestling rings can be rigged,
and I've seen them rigged before, you know, I
don't think I've ever seen a wrestling ring except
like most recently if someone was under. the
ring and came up from underneath. I don't think
I've ever seen a trap door in the ring before.
I've watched a lot of WWF, WWE. I don't think
I've ever seen a trap door that goes under the
ring. I've seen people come down off the top
rope and if you're somebody like the Big Show
or Mark Henry, if you land right, you can crash
through the ring floor. Don't think I've ever
seen a trap door in a ring. I think they do have
trap doors, but it's usually like You use like
a smoke machine to hide it like in WCW When they
brought the ultimate warrior and he would like
appear and disappear in the ring and the way
he would do that is like they would Fill the
entire ring area with with smoke and then like
you would just come up through a trap door And
the only reason why that why anyone really knows
that is because the British Bulldog actually
landed on the trapdoor the wrong time and actually
Pretty much ended his career You know all is
you know all is the undertaker has to rely on
as the lights to go out and then you know, so
I wonder if that was a trapdoor for him or was
did because Usually when that happens with the
undertaker and the lights go out You usually
don't hear anything and then boom the lights
go up and he's there now you still like Tons
and tons of people snapping pictures I would
love to see like one of those pictures like of
like what happens when the light goes out because
you probably see like undertaker Crawling out
into the ring Yeah, couldn't be all right. We're
gonna get to ease in a moment I know that this
show has had writers and I know Like they didn't
spend hours upon end to figure out a 10 -minute
plot script. No, but like seriously Cheats he
tried to tell Koopa about toe cheats. He saw
toe any And Koopa wouldn't, like, they constantly
make Koopa to be the dumbest, like, I know in
the games he's not, you know, he's, you know,
obviously because it's a game you have to fight
him. He's a little bit more, more intelligent,
but they try to make him the dumbest character
in this cartoon. Um, and I mentioned earlier,
the other note I had was, hey Toad, just ring
the damn bell. And ask them where the money went
if they got it What are you good? Well During
the match, let's see Mario had a green mask and
Luigi had a red mask now be goddamn if there
were two two shots in a row where they got that
right because it was like At some points the
mask would be there and it was the same coloring
mistakes up the ass This is so hard to watch
Yeah, before the days of digital editing where
they were if they got something back that was
wrong They could just fix it in Photoshop or
something Yeah, this is all hand -drawn I believe
that's all hand -drawn hand -painted Mm -hmm
It's crazy anything else That's pretty much it
Alright, we are going to move on to the next
episode. This record's hot! Huh? There! Now it's
even hotter! That was my favorite record! Sir,
if you're right, for the time you busted my favorite
record - up next is oh brother I was really hoping
for a Hulk Hogan yeah I was really hoping for
a Hulk Hogan appearance in this episode when
Mario and Luigi get fed up with each other Luigi
soon finds himself having to save his brother
from Bowser and Ludwig the interesting thing
about these about this episode the next one is
both title cards use the pipeline map because
that's where both episodes usually end up because
they oh god they both have the same goddamn plot
with just a few twists yeah so they argue They
get fed up with each other they you know Luigi
leave or he yeah Luigi leaves Mario goes after
him they both don't bring their frog suits which
mommy princess told them to do Koopa uses eenie
meenie mo or eenie meenie miney mo to choose
who they're going to capture because kooky has
made this power shower To have it rain in the
Mushroom Kingdom in the last two weeks Okay Thoughts
Wow, you know For for as much trouble as the
Koopas have with the Mario Brothers Whenever
one of their plots is to capture the Mario Brothers.
They have they have very little problems succeeding
Like in this episode, it was just like well,
we need a plumber get one of the Mario brothers
and so They capture them. No problem. Put a mind
control helmet on Mario and he's like, it's a
me master Akupa Crazy all right, we're gonna
move on to super leave moments in a moment It
looks like my brilliant new invention, the Power
Shower, is a good for colossal success! I make
it rain on the surface of the Mushroom Kingdom!
Super leave moments there are several things
about this episode that I do enjoy and I thought
that was really cool Which makes it probably
the best episode of the day The arguing Mario's
I like as soon as he pulls his mustache and it
turns all wonky I'm like, okay, just put him
in a yellow and a purple suit and bam. There's
Wario right there It was a good running gag.
I'm like Yeah, maybe you should have done that
for the whole series that would have been actually
made it sort of funny You know especially goes.
Oh, I hate what he does that you know So apparently
eeny -meeny is how Koopa makes the biggest decisions
to take to koop nap people And he made it rhyme
to I do love Mario's robotic voice though when
he gets under the helmets i thought that was
really cool i know you've said it in the past
that you hate the frog suit in the game the cartoon
actually makes the frog suit look cool it still
sucks in the game but the cartoon actually does
make it look pretty cool is it's only useful
under water but even then it's so easy to get
that you really have for for more like more than
like half the level and then you're just back
to normal swimming and it's like huh that was
useless so yeah i don't like the frog suit at
the end of the episode they argue about what
they were arguing they argue about who started
the argument um it's a little funny what did
you have for anything for good stuff uh well
like like the other two i didn't think this was
uh a particularly good episode, I guess. The
only real note that I have here that kind of
made me laugh is just that Mario was chasing
Luigi around with a wrench and I just wrote down
here, it was Mario with the wrench and the drain
pipe. And that's not really a... comment on the
show I was just like well I can make it it's
a it's a clue reference yeah Yeah Mario! Say
no more Koopa Doopa Dad! Just watch me do my
nasty stuff! So for Patooies, cripes they are
rhyming like G1 Wheelie. At least they aren't
rapping though. At least they aren't rapping.
This goes again to what I said they're making
Koopa to be... It's like he's in a Muppet Babies
episode. Hate it when my tootsie wussies get
wet Okay, I know this is a kid's cartoon. I know
Koopa isn't gonna sit there and breathe fire
To destroy the Mario, but like I know he's not
gonna be what he is in the games But Jesus Christ
do they really have to kiddify him so much? And
why are all the gold coins just lying in wait
for Koopa to steal them in the pipe in in pipeland
And then the next episode we haven't even gotten
the next episode the same damn plot except it's
Changed a little bit with who has to steal the
I Think they're just being way too literal with
the game because the game you walk around and
there's coins everywhere Just lined up ready
for you to take them. All right, just like well,
that's that's what the coins Like I don't think
the super show was you in that literal No. No,
because Super Show was pretty much all based
in Mario 2, and you had to rip up vegetables
to find coins. Oh, God. It's like, oh God, that's
all Super Mario Bros. 2 is Mario Gardening. Oh.
Yes. That's better than that. What did you have
for negatives for this one? Oh, let's see the
frog suit. This is a surprise. Not only is it
bad the game, it just looks dumb. I hate the
way they drew the way they draw the frog suit
in this show. It's like Luigi shows up. He's
like he's like, OK, Koopa, you're done now. And
there's this idiot in a frog suit, like ready
to take on the Koopas. It's like, what are you
going to do? They totally ill -equipped. He's
got web feet on his legs. He's got he's like
postured like a frog so he looks like he just
looks like a complete dork and And the only time
it looks cool is when he's swimming. Yeah, even
then he looks like a frogger Only fully had a
part in the show where you had to cross a road
That's really all I had because this show this
episode is just I Can't really pin down pin it
down. It's just kind of a I Don't know if there's
just like no plot Yeah, it seems like it just
kind of rushes through the story. It feels like
This episode was written faster than the actual
episode goes Yeah, probably was Alright, we're
gonna move on to the last episode of the day
after this. the adventures of Mighty Plumber
after these messages. Gosh, Mario, do you think
Mighty Plumber will save the lady from the monster?
Count on it, Luigi. Our hero always gets his
clog. Alright, finally up today is the misadventure
of Mighty Plumber. Haven't we seen this guy before?
Or is it just me? He's a little bit like Bayou
Billy. He's also a little bit like a couple other
characters that may have popped up in the Super
Show. So Koopa brings TV hero mighty plumber
to life and tricks him into robbing the pipeline
treasury so basically take the last episode and
Just change just remove Mario Luigi arguing and
fighting remove kooky and There you can put in
muddy plumber and there you go this is the exact
same okay sure last episode it wasn't the pipeline
treasury it was just all the coins that are laying
around pipeline but it's pretty much the same
damn thing and then i had to both of these this
episode and the last episode i had to actually
pause on the title map because i couldn't i thought
it was water land because Whatever image they
have for pipeline Isn't how I remember pipeline
looking the pipeline map looking on the game.
I don't know but thoughts on the plot Plot It's
well, I I Guess it was kind of funny when they
were watching TV. Well, you know maybe this is
just the video game guy in me but like being
being a video game fan in the 21st century you
become hyper aware of stuff like like uh like
ntsc standards and i'm like so you're in a completely
foreign land and you brought a tv from home like
how how do you even know this is going to function
i know this is a kid's cartoon they're not even
thinking about that but i'm like i'm like is
this 50 it's like 50 megahertz or 60 is it gonna
like is the screen, you know, just Way too hard
about this and like I'm like, wait a minute slap
my face. I'm missing the episode because I'm
thinking about this shit That just shows how
uninteresting this show actually is I'm like
Okay, I guess it was kind of funny, you know,
just the the woman in the episode there They're
watching just screaming at the top of her lungs
It's like and now back to mighty plumber and
she's still screaming and that was that was like
maybe the most amusing thing in the show Yeah
Yeah, the I really have I have one super leaf
moment So I think I'm just gonna include that
here and it's just we're just gonna skip right
down to the petuis. But yeah, I mean I almost
wish for continuity's sake they would have had
the same woman that was in the time travel episode
back in Brooklyn as the woman on TV. Mighty Plum,
Super Mario Plumas, and I gotta get ready for
my party and everything. I wish they would have
had that woman. But yeah, the woman screaming.
I guess it's their commentary on how over the
top. 80s cartoons could kind of be sometimes,
or at least 80s television shows could be sometimes.
My one super leaf moment is I love, and I so
wanted to do, what Cheesy is doing with the wand.
I so wanted to do that with the Sears Wishbook
and the JCPenney Holiday Catalog when I was a
kid. I was like, yeah, I'll take one of those,
one of those, one of... Oh, look at the price
crap. I'm never getting any of this stuff. But
I love I love the idea of him using the wand
to bring what he and the rest of the Koopalings
think are toys to to Castle Koopa. I do love
that. Well, you can almost do that nowadays because
we have 3D printers. You can print out your own
toys. Very true, very true. Alright. Other than
that, I didn't find anything really good about
this one. Did you find anything good about it?
No. Alright, we're gonna get to the Patoos in
a moment. than a speedy plunger. More powerful
than a pipe wrench. Able to snag disgusting drain
clogs with a flick of the wrist. My hero! Mighty
plumber! That's it! I'll trick him into sending
the Mario - For petuis you kind of already mentioned
it, but my first note was how the fuck does a
real -world TV work in the Mushroom Kingdom?
Grime never put and grime never pays. Oh, there
are way too many plumber puns in this I mean,
I know it's a plumber based episode but like
they took the the puns and It's like Vince McMahon
wrote this episode. Seriously. It is so over
-the -top okay so they want the Mario and Luigi
want Mighty Plumber to be able to go back on
TV obviously and they basically threaten Cheatsy
if they don't do it they're gonna do something
to him or they're gonna tell his dad or something
or other I forget what exactly they said to him
but Cheatsy Goes ahead and does the wand on mighty
plumber mighty plumber shrinks the one the red
wand or pink one magic then moves off of mighty
plumber Doesn't touch the TV and the shrunken
mighty plumber just walks into the television
screen and is back on TV Wouldn't it have made
and they've done animation like this before they
did it with the White House in that other episode
where you know you see Mario with the ray picking
up the entire White House and you see the ray
back in the real world, putting it where it's
supposed to be. So yeah, that was a pretty bad
animation error on their part, just having Mighty
Plumber just jump into the TV. Welcome to 89...
Oh, I guess 90s animation. Yeah, sure. What didn't
you like about this one? Well, everything really,
but you know, Mighty Plumber was just... He's
just an idiot. I mean, they zap him out of the
TV. He's face to face with an evil dragon with
a split tongue living in a dingy castle and he
just trusts the first person he talks to. He's
like, well, I guess this Cooper fellow must be
a good guy, because he told me so. And so already
I'm like, well, I don't care about this guy,
because he's an idiot. And I went right back
and thinking about, is this TV NTSC or PAL? So
I just did not like this episode. Yeah, same
here. It's probably the worst one of the day,
honestly. it really really is so we're going
to take a quick break you're going to hear some
ads from some other gcrn friends and also partner
podcasts and we'll be back after this It's Decian,
the superhero webcomic. Decian's got superhero
antics and sexy girls. Read it now at Decian
.com. D -A -S -I -E -N .com. Now for a behind
-the -scenes look at Geekcast Radio Network's
newest show, Talking in Circles. So, Chuck, Greg,
what are you guys thinking for this week's show?
Well, Dan, how about we just talk about the things
that we've read or watched this week? We do reviews
like that every week, Chuck. How about a game
like Factor Fiction or The Power of Names? Those
are great and we're always coming up with new
ideas for games. And how about some top fives?
You know how I love my top fives. What about
tournament style brackets or sequel reboot and
destroy, who will win in a fight, taking too
far, crazy but true news or... Yes, it appears
we have lots of things to work on. Listen to
Talking in Circles. Taking timeless topics in
new directions. Every Tuesday on iTunes or GeekCastRadio
.com. The GeekCast Radio Network. Hey Dan, who's
the guy with the creepy voice? We close out the
show. We'll be ranking each on a scale of 0 to
5 hammers. Let's see here. Tag Team Trouble.
I'm gonna give it 2 out of 5 hammers. I found
it to be a really silly episode. And I did like
the wrestling stuff that was done in it. I thought
that was kinda cool. What about you? I guess
I'll give it. Kind of amusing in some spots Mm
-hmm. Oh brother, um Even though there's some
very very flawed logic And they make Koopa to
be a you know, the giant baby of the entire series
I do have more things about this episode that
I like than I do that I dislike So I'm gonna
give it a three out of five hammers. What about
you? I'm gonna give this a two as well just cuz
okay None of these episodes really good. Well,
in the grand scheme of things, are they going
to make a top ten list? Probably not, but like
I said, Old Brother is easily the best out of
the three here. In Misadventure of Muddy Plumber,
should we just say it together? Zero. Zero. If
I had to rank this by how many hammers I want
to throw at it, it would probably be 40. 40 hammers.
What do you get coming up? What's going on with
animation aficionados? Well, we got us. Oh my
god. Did we not release the sailor moon episode?
I think we have a sailor moon episode coming
up We just did an episode about So I'm gonna
have to look it up because we record these in
advance and I kind of forget which episodes go
up which is kind of silly. We just did Simpsons
Meet Family Guy, which is an episode of Family
Guy that has not yet aired, but there was a five
-minute preview of it which we watched and it
was kind of disappointing. We also did a Homestar
Runner episode, but I think I might have announced
that on the last episode. Yeah, we did. Yeah,
so we got a couple other things in the pipeline.
It's just that updates have been kind of slow
lately. You can also check out Neil and I doing

Where's Elizabeth shoe when you really need her
and then Neil and I are not going to be doing
the Koopa because we're gonna be talking about
do the Koopa One of those episodes was written
by Doug Booth and it might be the best episode
of the entire series And that's saying a lot
for his career, considering his track record
is not the best in animation. For now, I am Dave
Jones -Mike with TV's Mr. Neil. Thank you for
listening, and join us next time when you help
us find the pixels in the animation.
