That's right. The regular M wires are back ladies
and gentlemen brought to you by the cast radio
network I am one of your host T of your Mike
and joining me is JT from Saskatoon. I like to
go fast Because today ladies and gentlemen an
episode 102 of M wire we are feeling the need
the need for speed I Am so putting that clip
in So first before we get to the 2014 film starring
Aaron Paul and Batman, Michael Keaton, JT and
I are going to give you guys a brief overview
of our history and experience with the game franchise.
The first Need for Speed game I ever played was
on PlayStation 1. It was Need for Speed 3 Hot
Pursuit. I absolutely loved that game. That game
was so cool. I think the first Hot Pursuit...
I played one of the Hot Pursuits, I think it
was one of the ones released on the original
Xbox back in the day, and yeah, it's just...
You know to quote Ricky Bobby. It's not going
fast Just cuz it was a great game it kind of
hurricane back to stuff old -school games like
Cruising USA in that where it's just as kind
of an arcade style racer You know you got actual
cars You know like yeah Lamborghinis Ferraris
Mustangs Excuse me all that BMWs all that kind
of stuff and It was like that I would say it's
a couple of steps to the side of a tuner like
Gran Turismo or something like that where it's
like hard real -world physics racing like that
like It's still those games are still a lot of
fun to play, but I always had more fun playing
You know these are cut arcade style racers. Mm
-hmm. See so see for I was going to say in Hot
Pursuit 2 and then when you get into the more
advanced games like Underground, which gets more
into the tuner sort of thing, which are almost
directly influenced by the Fast and Furious movies,
I got a lot into those too. See, for me, now
the one you probably played was Need for Speed
Hot Pursuit 2 on, yeah, you probably came in,
you came in way late. You came in at 2002, because
that was the one that was on the Xbox. Need for
Speed 3 Hot Pursuit, the original, the very first
Hot Pursuit game, even though it was the third
overall NFS game in the franchise, it was the
first Hot Pursuit version, it was really cool.
It had all kinds of cool backgrounds and the
graphics, granted it's PlayStation -era graphics,
but they were still really cool at the time.
I mean, the music in it was great. The funny
thing is, I don't think the soundtrack was ever
released for it, which is kind of sad. But after
that, for me, I played Hot Pursuit 2. I actually...
I should not like Hot Pursuit 2, because... That
game caused me and an ex to... me and a potential
ex to not even speak to each other anymore considering
she left me stranded at the mall after I bought
the damn game. So yeah, that was an interesting
thing. Dude. Yeah. That's so sad. Eh, shit happens,
you know? Really, really does. But no, Need for
Speed, Hot Pursuit 2, I loved that game. Absolutely
loved it. I thought it was great. The soundtrack
for that one had The People That We Love by Bush.
It had Wall of Shame from Course of Nature. It
had two tracks from Hot Action Cop, which I'm
kind of not really surprised they're not on anymore.
It actually has a Canadian... They got rush in
there Actually the one and it for me I don't
know if it was supposed to randomize when you're
on the menus or anything But I remember keep
it coming by uncle cracker would always play
whenever I went into the menus or I was in the
garage Yeah, or anything like that Yeah, hot
action coffee the only song I know from them
is that Fever for the flavor. Well the what they
did for SWAT. SWAT, the updated SWAT. Yeah, I
love that song too. Okay, so after that, after
Hot Pursuit 2 came out for GameCube, PlayStation
2, and PC, I kind of dropped off the map for
a couple of releases. I did not play the Underground
games, any of them. And then I picked it back
up in 2005 with Most Wanted. Oh my god, I loved
the first 2005 Most Wanted edition. That was
so cool. Especially like with the cinematic sort
of feel of the game story, you know, especially
with those cutscenes. And, you know, Josie Moran.
God just a lot leverage way to play that gives
she gonna be the cutscene. She could be the ass
You know and it went on from that to carbon which
was pretty much a direct sequel to most wanted
Yeah, it was kind of a direct sequel to most
wanted. I actually still have carbon I haven't
played it in a while, but yeah, then we went
into pro street, which was The it was the I wouldn't
call it a racing sim But this is like the first
hard, first hard turn they made into Gran Turismo
territory. I would call this almost the Need
for Speed version of NASCAR is what Pro Street
was. Well, yeah, because the game's based entirely
on the pro street racing slash drifting racing
circuit. And if you could get into that sort
of game, you could probably enjoy it. I wasn't
a big fan of it because like I said, I'm a much
more of an arcade racer. Yeah, then we go back
into the cinematic with undercover with Undercover
was so friggin good I actually still have it
around here somewhere I play because I play all
the all the need for speed games I've ever played
I've done on the PC. I've never played them on
console. Yeah, they have always been They have
always been a PC kind of kind of game for me
and you had Yeah, you had Maggie Q as the main
female voice in this. That was freaking awesome.
Maggie Q, Christina Milian. They did have a lot
of well -known actors doing characters in this.
Me personally, I didn't enjoy the game as much
this time around just because of how the uh racing
was mixed up with the story elements like it
wasn't like a hard like beat this race you know
beat this drift race beat this drag race it was
a little mixed up a little bit more in with the
game and i didn't enjoy it as much as i wanted
to you know and if you follow you go from this
game To the next like they really fell in love.
They had this great run of the cinematic style
games like they had the run which You know, it's
it this one had probably the most I think the
most well meshed version of mixing the story
with a gameplay with it was a Jack Rourke who's
Trying it's Sean something he played It's in
that Never Back Down movie. It's just trying
to look up the cast here. Sean Ferris, that's
it. Sean Ferris and then you had Christina Hendricks
was in there as his lawyer slash fixer gets him
into this illegal cross -country race. Because
the whole idea is this is like a faster for years
version of the cannonball run. where they gotta
go from San Francisco to New York. And it was
a lot of fun, but it's like, you know, you do
this race and then you gotta get away from these
guys and there's like a quick time event. And
it was a lot more fun. I had a lot more fun with
this than Undercover. Yeah. See, I dropped off
after Undercover. I've played bits and pieces
of Shift. But I never really played any more.
I played it like once or twice. I've never played
the Nitro games. I played Need for Speed World
because that's PC exclusive. But I picked it
back up with Hot Pursuit, the 2010 version. And
it was okay. It was... I still missed the 2002
version. Or the 2000... Well, no. Hot Pursuit
2. No, no, no. I'm confusing that with Most Wanted.
The Hot Pursuit... 2010 version was it was pretty
interesting. I see this the thing with me in
these in this franchise is To hell with the the
the stock car style games the whole point for
me would need to speed is going really fast through
really awesome locales trying to get away from
the cops or Being a cop and trying to bust people
that's that's my enjoyment of these games and
then i picked it back up with uh... i don't think
i played most wanted twenty twelve i wanted to
but i don't think i did and i've seen stuff with
rivals uh... i still love the franchise uh...
it's a franchise that has been around since you
know my you know as far as me being involved
with it playing it early mid -teens i think so
uh... absolutely love it Now I will say really
quickly before we actually get to the film discussion
here on MWIRE that Need for Speed games some
of them have story some of them don't So when
I saw the movie or when I saw when I first saw
the teasers for the movie I wasn't expecting
a whole lot in the story i was expecting the
standard either hot pursuit or most wanted kind
of storyline um where you have the driver or
whoever and you know he has to do something to
redeem himself and you know everything else and
that's what i was like i wasn't expecting the
film to you know be be a bajillion dollar film
i don't even think at this point it's made its
money back which is kind of sad No, it's okay
Looking at the box office. It's fitting distance
of making its 66 million dollar budget back.
Well Looking at it here. It says it's made 63
million so far So it's at least it's not one
of those bad video game movies that has a high
budget that only makes 15 15 million so Err,
no, wait, it's not even close. I'm sorry. That's
not million. That's 63 ,000 No, wait a minute.
63. If you're looking at the wiki, it's $63 ,424
,937. So like a spinning distance. It's, yeah.
I mean, did I expect this movie to be... Oscar
worthy? No. Did I expect this movie to be the
best racing movie ever? No. All as I wanted out
of Need for Speed before we get into spoiler
territory, all I wanted out of the film was it
to remain loyal to the game franchise, to have
aspects that I had seen in the games that I had
played, and it did that. It really did. Is the
story new, fresh, and you know... Breaking Bad
Season 5? Hell no, it's not. But it's still a
decent film. I mean, compare this to Fast and
the Furious 3, this is a hell of a lot better
than Tokyo Drift. Ooh, I disagree with you on
that. It's its own animal because it's different
racing plus... The whole idea, the concept within,
you know, with Tokyo Drift is that they got more
to the whole concept of loyalty and such between,
you know, Han and the DK and all that. I don't,
like I said, I don't think it is better than
Tokyo Drift. I think it's on the same level in
a lot of respects. It's definitely going into
it. I was like, it's a Need for Speed movie.
I was like, you know, ring -a -ding -ding, yeehaw.
I wasn't expecting a lot from I was pleasantly
surprised by the movie like there are some flaws
there are some Glaring flaws, but it's it's still
an enjoyable B movie You know if it's not necessarily
you have to completely turn your brain off But
if you're willing if you can at least overlook
some of the flaws in the movie. It's all good
I mean and we'll get into it as we talk about
the plot, but you know I really enjoyed it I
I honestly Going into it. I was praying Aaron
Paul wouldn't go cars, bitch Little Jesse Pinkman
slip out like that. I'm surprised. There's no
there wasn't a surprise cameo by Heisenberg himself
You know, I'm very grateful for that. Thank you
very much. And let me say this again folks Other
reason why I wanted to see this movie is because
I was dying to see Aaron Paul outside of faking
fad True but No, I mean overall there were some
some performances. I like some I really loathed
In a bad way, it's just really And but yeah,
I mean it said we'll get into that more as we
talk about the film here Alright, so we're gonna
take a quick break. You're gonna hear a message
from the spoiler police and we'll be back after
this Warning! The following recording contains
many plot spoilers. If you have not seen the
movie being discussed, please go see the movie
before listening. If not, you have been warned.
And now, on with the show! This tape will self
-destruct in five seconds. Alright, we are back.
Now that you people have been warned about spoilers,
you can either keep listening, or you can turn
this off and go watch the movie yourself. And
then come back and finish listening. That's right.
So the basic plot here is, and even though I
do have the wiki up, I am not reading from it,
but I'm just going off of what I remember seeing
in the trailer. The basic plot is, Toby Marshall,
he's basically... People might crucify me that
for saying this he's basically the 21st century
cold trickle is what he is that I took more Alignment
with this movie with days of thunder than anything
else based on Toby's story alone As far as he's
this super awesome driver. He's super confident.
He's a little bit cocky But it's basically him
getting into business with his rival And... He
was played by Tony Stark's dad. Wait, what? Well,
the Dominic Cooper is the guy who played Howard
Stark in Captain America. Oh, okay. I was...
Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah. He plays Dino Brewster.
And if there was any more of a calling card for
you to hate this douchebag, his name alone...
Makes you want to and and don't get me wrong.
I love Dominic Brewster as an actor. He recently
did this miniseries called Fleming the man who
would be Bond and it's about the life and times
of Ian Fleming the creator of 007 that this dude
can act and I would say he is one of the better
actors in this movie just for the fact that it
takes a really good actor to make a really douchey
villain Yeah, and Dino is a hundred percent douche
Yes, so Dino and Toby get into this race, and
a little bit of backstory. Dino is dating Toby's
ex Flame, who Toby is friends with her brother
still. Yeah, Little Pete. Yeah, Little Pete.
I mean, you might as well have called him Jesse
from Fast and Furious. You might as well have.
Because this movie is Fast and the Furious 1
without all of the street racing party scenes.
That's one of the things I love like where you
know like we get the setup of Toby running his
dad like he's a former car racer and he's running
his dad's old garage with his friends where they
you know they do cars fix up cars and all that
and they have like this uh well drag slash street
race And instead of like the extended pull -up
and you see like all the T &A and everything,
well, you still see it. It's not as pronounced
as a Fast and Furious movie. It's more akin to
something you would actually see in this, in
a small town like that. Yeah. No, no, no. What
I'm saying is there are themes that they've taken
from the other movies. I mean, there's certain
analogies that I can make, because I've seen
the Fast and Furious movies before. So basically
we have this race and this race Little Pete was
not like Toby did not want little Pete anywhere
near this. Yeah, it's basically Well, I mean
to set up the race quickly is the whole idea
is Dino shows up in the movie with this deal
for Tony Toby and his crew to Fix this car that
Carol Shelby like Shelby Cobra Carol Shelby they
he wants him to finish building the last car
he ever worked on he's gonna sell it for a boatload
of cash and Does but only after Toby proves to
the buyer this Englishwoman Julia that the car
can reach 230 miles per hour and This kind of
sets Dino off where he's like I told you not
to do this and He's kind of it's more of an insult
to his honor in a way the fact that you know,
I'm like this rich well -to -do guy and I come
back to this lowly rival of mine and He's like,
okay. I'm gonna screw with him. So he challenges
Toby to this race where if Toby wins he gets
three -quarters of the payout for the Mustang
but if he loses he loses his 25 % that he was
gonna get and along the way little Pete manages
to talk his way into the race and Unfortunately,
it doesn't end up very well for little Pete So
But I mean he goes like they have the race and
it's these extra absolutely beautiful Swiss made
I'm just gonna call him the second part of the
names. He says Swiss made Agueras which these
things look like They look like high -end low
Low to the ground Galerdo's they look like they
they're gonna run like stink That's what they
look like like these things look like they're
just gonna you know, yippee -ki -yay take off
like they just look like speed and There are
other cars in this movie. It's just beautiful
man. Oh my god You just said they look like speed
and all's I can think of is Francesco is triple
speed uh... but most of these three cars uh...
toby is in one piece in the other and you know
is in the final card he was in the red car and
told he's going to win the biggest we got a race
like to the end of this bridge across the interstate
in yes it's like toby pete do you know and then
do you know becomes a dick He taps Pete's car
and it goes... It doesn't go flying. He taps
it, it goes into the air, and instead of flying,
it flips and explodes. That's what I mean. He
taps it, it goes... It does a triple Lindy, basically.
Pretty much, yeah. And then it falls over the
side of the bridge. If it hadn't already burst
in the flame, well, it does when it hits the
riverbank. You know, Pete dies, Dino being the...
Well, he shifts from douche to wussy and runs
away. And Tony is left to take the holding the
bag for what happened. And Dino comes up with
these witnesses that say that there are only
two cars racing and that, you know, him and Pete
had stolen the cars and he... It's your standard
setup. Action movie revenge plot. Yeah, it's
your standard revenge plot I will give the movie,
you know that that kind of a negative about it
is it's it's nothing that we haven't seen before
I still don't care. I still enjoyed it immensely
Because I even though I kind of knew in the back
of my mind Dino would pull a douche move like
that seeing that car do what it did and how Pete
died. That just shocked me all to hell in the
theater when I saw this. Oh, yeah. And one thing
you gotta mention for the folks at home that
this movie was done with like no CGI. Yeah, no,
it's not even done with a lot of stunt people
because I saw an interview with Aaron Paul and
he said if He said that the director said if
you want to do this if you really want to do
the driving It has to be you in the car and people
have to believe that you are doing the driving.
Oh, yeah No, I mean there were stunt drivers,
obviously, but there's some yeah, but like all
the other close -up shots That's actually them
in the car. That's actually yeah, that's actually
Aaron in the car. Oh Cuz I mean, you know later
on we'll get into it later on when you see Aaron
Paul in the Mustang It's like you don't deserve
that car I deserve that car, because I've wanted
a Mustang ever since I was a kid. But yeah, so,
Aaron, Toby goes to jail, you know, nobody believes
his story, except for his crew of, was it Benny?
Julia. Julia believes him. Yeah, Julia, Benny,
Joe, and Finn are the only ones that believe
that Toby wasn't responsible. And now we're...
you know it's two years later and he gets out
and basically Toby goes to Julia's boss this
Mr. Ingram who's like this you know super rich
dude that bought the Mustang for 2 .7 million
he basically is like look I want to get into
this super secret car race out in California
and you know it's run by this guy named Monarch
DJ Monarch he's listed who's played by I'm Batman
Michael Keaton which as much as he is Batman
His performance in his scenes where you're watching
Monarch's web show, he was channeling Beetlejuice,
man, like just that manic energy that he had.
Oh yeah, well, to me it was a combination, and
I know you're gonna hate this, it was a combination
between Beetlejuice and Jack Frost. That energy
Well, no, no, no Let me defend this here It's
a combination of Beetlejuice and Jack Frost from
the same name movie and not in when Jack Frost
not 98. Yeah It's a combination of the Jack Frost
character and Beetlejuice because Jack Frost's
character in that snowman movie had Really really
high energy Sure, you can kind of go with Beetlejuice
more because let's face it in this movie Michael
Keaton looks older than dirt He looks good, but
he looks older than dirt It doesn't look as old
as he did didn't well he looks older here than
in Robocop but but yeah, no, I love the energy
he brought for Monarch and You know, they're
setting up this new race and and he was originally
he's like the first voice you hear in the movie
because it's setting up this backstory of Toby
being a former racer and all that. Toby gets
out and he reunites with Finn who is one of his
crew and he's the guy that flies the airplane
and gives the shout outs of what the traffic's
like and if there are any cops in the area and
all that. They basically go and they get the...
They go back to the garage, Julia shows up with
a car, and they're like, okay, let's beat feet
to California, because they only basically got
two days. And Julia, they have that whole thing
where Julia's like, no, I'm going with you. It's
like, I don't think so. They have, I mean, it
was very well choreographed, like the stunt driving
and all that, but they have this scene where
basically Toby drives like a bat out of hell,
blindfolded, and tries to scare Julia out of
the car, which doesn't work. But I mean then
they go and they meet up I think what is it is
Detroit Yeah, and they meet up with Benny in
Detroit and I love Benny's truck the beast Which
is like this rolling garage, you know gas tank
on board diagnostic gear like this thing just
looks solid You know and they go to pick up Joe
who? Was it? Sorry, I think I might get getting
up the No, okay, I know it is Joe Ramon Rodriguez
is the actor he played Joe who is drive Benny
is The guy working in the office, you know, obviously,
you know He's divorced himself from cars and
everything and he looks like he's wound a little
too tight They call Joe and they can go to the
window and they have Tony just Reving the hell
out of this car You know in front of the building
and you see just you see the magic, you know,
all of a sudden it all cut that Yeah, that monkey
is back on Joe's back and He quits his job it
like one of the most ridiculous and almost completely
unnecessary Scenes in the film where he strips
down and not to his boxers was he strips down
naked? Walks into an elevator which it has one
of my favorite Lides of the movie where he looks
at this old lady from a county and he just looks
here Don't you ever feel like you're dying inside
and she responds with every day And then he walks
out and joke a bit. Yeah, sorry. That's Benny
Joe comes up and he's like, what are you doing?
He's like backing away ready to wait. He's like,
come on man. Give me a hug like he's just Having
the time of his life walking out like this and
then Joe asked him like what the hell are you
doing? And he's like you think I'm gonna want
to go back to this But yes, just just to be clear
Benny is Liar one Benny is the helicopter. No,
that's anything No, yeah, I'm looking at the
wiki right now The hell is going on I swear to
God, yes Then the link I clicked on sent me to
the wrong page See, oh my god, that's a kid Cuddy.
Yeah kid Cuddy is Benny Okay, never mind ignore
me folks back to the story. See I told you so
they have to go get the third member of the team
and He actually as you said, you know, he goes
through this whole very unnecessary scene, but
it's kind of like It's kind of like a Jerry Maguire
moment. I was half expecting Benny to say to
him, show me the money, because I thought he
was going to say, who's coming with me? Yeah.
Yeah. Well, see, here's the thing with with Joe
walking out the way he did. It's very jerry maguire
to me. Oh, yeah, it's It's not as angry as Tom
Cruise was in jerry maguire, but it's very much
like that and Yeah, the the scene with asking
the other lady about you know Don't you feel
like you're dying inside and then the the coup
de grace before we even get to hugging Benny
is Him kissing the girl. He's like I've been
dying to do that since day. I walked in here
before he drops trout You see him he had the
he has to stand on his toes to kiss her like
that I was like, you know what dude if you're
If you're gonna quit like that that that is one
of the best quitting walking out scenes that
I've seen in a while and that's up there with
like Wesley's quitting scene in the movie wanted
Mm -hmm. So but yeah, so they get out and the
whole scene the whole time this is going on Toby's
outside dealing with this cop pulls up at the
cop is like very He doesn't want to like do anything
to get him in trouble He keeps yelling just pull
it around the corner and Toby's just revving
the car He didn't do you'll see him spinning
a finger around his one ear. I can't hear you.
It's too loud And I love that line, is this your
car? This car? Oh no, this car is way too expensive.
Like he's just fucking, pardon my French, but
he's just fussing with the cop so hard. And there
is a point to this. Because once they take off,
because I guess, you know, he's got like a hood
mounted cam. and just so I get the character
right Benny is flying overhead in Cessna and
he's recording everything and this is all they
send all these videos to Monarch yeah of like
the the ad there's like that we're gonna do a
grasshopper and Julie what's a grasshopper he
just looks at her with that's Aaron Paul has
the greatest sly smile that he does and he hits
the gas and he goes up this embankment and he
dukes a hazards this car man and it's like and
when you see the front when they when he's just
starting to come in for the landing and they
Go to this camera that's looking at the front
of the car. You're just like, oh, please land
right. Please land right. Please land right.
Because you see he's going to it looks like he's
going to bury the Mustang and he pulls it off.
Yeah, he pulls it off really well. See, here's
the thing that's so great about this movie. It
isn't the plot. It isn't some of the acting.
What is so great for me personally with this
film. Again, I cannot say enough how true to
the games they are Oh, yeah, like because you
can do that kind of jump stunt in the games You
can do all the stuff that he's doing You can
do that in the games now. I will say to back
up a little bit with the original race before
He got before Pete died. Yeah, originally. I
thought that it was gonna be a setup that the
bridge was gonna be out And basically, Dino Douchebag
would have just let them sail off the bridge
before, you know what I mean? That's what I was
originally thinking. I wasn't even thinking that
Dino was gonna, you know, rub Pete the wrong
way, because after all, Rub and Son is racing.
You know, I just I thought it was gonna go a
very very different way So yeah, so they do all
this stuff. They do the grasshopper and I love
I Love the code names I love all the code names
for all the stuff and the fact that he has to
explain it to her and and she basically just
Tells him why couldn't you just said what it
was originally without having to go through?
You know, it's that's a cute little bit between
them in the car. They're caught like especially
when he's like there They're these like why are
you wearing high heels is like they're like?
Whatever Gucci whatever they were and then that
translates into the car bits But yeah, it's just
some of that that was just one of the most beautiful
stunts And like I said, I love Mustangs and seeing
that thing. I thought it was gonna nosedive hardcore
Just seeing it come in. But yeah, so they they
make these movies they get out of Detroit they
they they take a side road and they avoid the
cops and all that And and I love the the way
the cops were dealing with him both in this bit
and later on in the final race It really harken
back to stuff from like hot pursuit and most
wanted He has elements from the game that they
you know that they use like that and also the
thing that they took that side Road that still
got him out of town and all and in the original
street race that Pete and Toby were in through
their hometown in mount kitsko uh how they took
like that side street like the alley exit and
you know shortcuts like that really that really
impressed me because that's that's something
that you would see in the need for speed games
oh yeah most definitely you know and i think
it was around this thing like they said they
send these videos into monarch and he realizes
you know it's toby marshall so he's like welcome
to daylion like this underground race well see
here's the thing now Didn't in his narration
earlier didn't monarch say that? De Leon was
actually an actual person at one point and he
retired his his he said something in the narration
about this guy who used to do racing but his
ticker got to I think something happened with
his heart and my my assumption is that Monarch
is de Leon since he says it is his race. I think
so it's The only thing I remember exactly what
he said is because he was talking about Toby
and his narration like all that stuff he did
say I just don't remember exactly what he said
but he says you know if Toby ever got a car worthy
of him he would totally have an invite to daily
on and now he has like this absolutely gorgeous
Mustang oh my god I want that car so bad yes
yes you do so yeah so monarch gives him the invite
Then Dino Douchebag calls in to and that's for
that's what we're gonna call him for the rest
of the movie screw Brewster He's Dino Douchebag
from now on Where where is Fred when you really
need someone to lick? So, you know double D here
calls into monarchs webcast and says, you know,
this is a complete joke and Toby doesn't deserve
to be in here I mean look what he did and monarch,
you know Kind of plays with them is like I don't
I think Monarch kind of doesn't necessarily care
that Toby's innocent but he played he Doesn't
believe that Toby was responsible, you know that
sort of thing. So he plays with you know that
and Dino puts up a lamp was it? Let me see he
puts up his lamp Lamborghini Lamborghini sesto
elemental. Yeah, he puts that up for people.
He basically puts that up as a bounty reward
for people to basically either have the cops
capture or have people kill. Well, I think it's
not even necessarily a cops and like the cops
are already looking for Toby because I mean,
he's, he's jumped, uh, skipped his parole, uh,
whatever the proper phrase is. He's, he skipped
out on his parole. You know, he's, he's engaged
in all this dangerous driving behavior. You know,
he's run across however many states by this point.
And so the bounty is more so just somebody to
just take him out However, he is taken out is
kind of left up to the bounty hunters at this
point Yeah, you know, but so he puts this bounty
out and after they have this were a little bit
before this you see that it's not all wine and
roses getting across country because they almost
get busted at this truck stop and I seen imaging
poots in of some other movies she is a really
good actress, but There's something about the
way she runs into this cop and In the truck stop
there Yeah, and it's it's just the way she she
does like this. I wouldn't say is god -awful
but ill -conceived like kind of southern accent
she's just trying to talk all this smack about
this and a lot of its jargon that she's learned
from like you know, Benny and Joe and Toby talking
and all that. And, you know, it just it didn't
play and then the cop like chases after and she
runs upstairs into this room. The cop tries busting
the door down, gives up, runs back downstairs,
is about to take off and Toby had wrapped his
chain from this rot that was in this back of
this truck. He gets the I don't know how Toby
did this because this dog was ready to kill.
kill somebody gets the dog in the truck ties
the chain to like i think the truck or one of
the light posts there tie and ties the other
end of it to the cop car this thing it's like
when dx tied a chain to vince mcmahon's limo
a few years ago and just like the rear axle and
part of the drive shaft just gets you hanged
right out from under it and the cops like the
hell or you could go another racing movie reference
and say that it was kind of like Memphis hooking
old Johnny B's car up to the big rig and gone
in 60 seconds. Oh that I just love those you
got permits for these weapons. Oh, I just love
this that shot of Nicolas Gage with you saluting
them with a cup of coffee there that But yeah,
so they get going at one point these guys come
after the bounty and It's a fairly intense scene
because at this point Julia has taken over driving
the Mustang because you know Toby needs to get
some sleep And they these guys come out and like
some like kind of dune buggy You know kind of
pet light pickups and lift kits come after them.
Yeah, it's Saying well, this is what I'm saying
folks need for speed while it is true to the
games It's a mishmash combination of various
other racing film plots and devices over the
years I've seen gone in 60 seconds in this movie.
I've seen bits and fast nefarious films the whole
lift kit thing is from fast five you know but
i mean at this point there is like the arizona
desert so you kind of need stuff like that right
now i'm i'm not saying it wasn't necessary i'm
just saying i see a bunch of other racing type
movies in this film i mean hell if you really
want to you know compare it to to a Pixar film,
this is essentially the live action version of
Cars because he goes from New York to California.
And you know what I mean? It's not a I still
enjoyed the film. Now you're talking about the
scene in the desert was that that was before
she gets put in the hospital, right? Yeah. Oh,
yeah. No, because. Yeah. Not to skip ahead too
much, but yeah, I did love that thing where before
they get into like the really dangerous part
where she's starting to freak out driving she
plays chicken It just I love again because I
love the fact they do absolutely no CGI in this
movie there. It's there's these two cars coming
towards the Mustang and she plays chicken with
the the showroom car You know, cause she's like,
cause he's compensating for some deficiency and
she holds up her pinky. We have no idea to what
she is referring. And the Hummer's driving along
like the mountain face or whatever on that side
of the road. And he pulls to the right and runs
into the goddamn mountain. Like, you idiot! But
clearly he loved the Hummer enough to not run
into the Mustang, but he didn't love it enough
to not run into the mountain. And then you know
at this point that they get chased up to the
top of like a top to that to the top of about
that that that that and then You know Maverick
shows up You know Yeah, Liar 1. Oh, I love that,
Liar 1, because he supposedly was in the Army
or the Air Force, and everyone else in the crew
just calls Bull the whole time. And he shows
up with an Army tow helicopter with cables that
they latch through the blown -open windows from
a shotgun. Or is it just the rear window got
shut out? I think but they they tie it off and
it gets hauled away to the salt flats you know,
and then they let it go and then he's like Mavericks
gotta go away for a while because the he's essentially
conned this old army buddy of his to let him
take the helicopter out and then these two effort
to jet fighters come up and escort them back
to base and well He's basically put into like
the military who scale for a while. Yeah Now
this whole scene here, I was like, oh no, they
pulled a Sky 1. They pulled a Batman on us, because
it reminded me of Skyhook. Not Sky 1, Skyhook.
They pulled a Skyhook on us, because I knew from
watching Dark Knight that Skyhook was... Well,
Lucius said it in the movie that Skyhook was
something the military was working on, and bam,
here it is, X number of years later, a Need for
Speed movie. I was like, oh, that is so cool.
There was a little bit of confusion for me in
my part of watching, so we had something all
go in at the end of the show. But yeah, they
get to the South Flats, they haul ass to San
Francisco, they just make it. and you, they go
to this fancy, fancy hotel. And Toby runs into
douchebag Dino. And they have this moment which,
and you see how completely unrepentant this D
bag is. And Tony is like, Toby, sorry. Toby is
like the proverbial hair away from just unloading
the beast on him. Like the whole movie, one of
the best things about this movie is Aaron Paul's
acting, I think, in that you see that he's been
in stir for two years. He's been plotting his
revenge this whole time. And here he is. He wants
to get revenge in the way he planned. But you
see he's fighting back that Hulk inside of him.
He's just ready to just unload on Dino, which
I really love that scene. And then he goes and
he... Does something in the hotel and the car
on like the whole time like monarchs got this
racing? Like this racing app that they have on
their touchscreen in the car. Yeah, they get
this message daily own be here tomorrow 9 a .m
Yeah, and they pull out of the hotel's parking
lot and Semi truck BAM. Yeah, the car gets flipped
the the Mustang as well and truly screwed at
this point and in the back of my mind I thought
they're gonna have like this intense 12 -hour
restoring of the car see that's the thing that
kind of that's the thing that kind of pisses
me off about this whole thing is they they go
on this cross -country trek to get to the daily
own in the muscle you know yes Dino has His he
has this bounty out so everybody and their mother
is gonna come out and try to either kill these
people or turn them in or steal the car themselves
or whatever the hell at no point between The
time the first bounty hunters attack them and
the time that the car is smashed Do they go and
repair it the whole time that they were doing
the sky hook and they landed in the salt flats.
I thought that the beast was there to help them
repair the friggin car they don't repair the
car by the time they get to the hotel because
the back window is still shot out and he's saying
and don't go wrong i really love like you i love
erin paul's acting in this movie but he says
to her all you'll be safe with me tonight you
know you'll you'll you know the whole rule you'll
romantic comedy with me in the yeah well no but
here's the thing Why are you going to get a fucking
hotel room? When the back window of your fucking
car is shot out That's what I don't get if they're
supposed to keep this car so they can race it
Why would they not fix it before he went and
confronted friggin Dino? He should have never
done that He should have never gone to the hotel
in the first place to confront Dino. I don't
think he went there to confront him a they have
to go there to register i think in some way i
don't think so because no i don't think so because
he said uh... i'll be right back i had a handle
something he said that to the clerk is they asked
him if he was checking in and he didn't say yes
or no and then he went to find dino any found
it okay in that hotel so I don't understand why
the whole hotel scene actually even happened
if you have the back window of your car shot
out and Anyone could climb through that and steal
your friggin car. Well, he left Julia there so
But I mean it made little to no sense But yeah,
so they pull out and this guy that in some earlier
scenes who's been established as Dino's Flunky
goon hired goons and then he raps it with like
this semi -trailer and you know just casually
backs up and drives away and You know Toby gets
Julie out and the beast shows up with Benny and
or not Benny Joe and I keep forgetting his name
Joe and Finn there we go and yeah, Joe and Finn
and they get her to a hospital and The fact that
they roll up like this is like you don't hear
any real like what happened to her or anything
but so was it yeah Joe and Toby go and Toby gets
in contact with his ex Anita like Pete's older
sister and but this point you see to see where
she's well Dino's dealing with some business
She goes in because she's starting to suspect
deal with all the like him putting this bounty
out and everything She goes in his computer and
finds that he's stored Stored stored the agar
that he drove in the race that killed Pete in
this conveniently enough storage in his own warehouse
Well storage locker is something in San Francisco,
right? But it's his cuz it says check inventory
on it. So it's basically his dealership's inventory,
so he stored it in his own friggin' warehouse.
Well, it's not... But it was clear across the
country from where the accident happened, so...
Right, right. It's not like the cops would have
had any, uh, or the impetus to check that, but
yeah, so she... She and Toby talk, she says she's
left Dino, gives him the ring that Dino gave
her, gave him the passcode and the keys to the
car... And so they and I thought again at this
point because with the Mustang I thought they
were gonna get the Mustang and as they walk through
this storage locker you look at it's a almost
set up like a garage because you see all like
Tools and all sorts of gear there and they pull
it off and they see yeah This is the car. So
essentially Toby steals the car goes to the race
and I love how he Walks up to Dino whose Dino
basically has the second pole position the front
of the line. There's the six cars. You know,
he rolls up in the Aguera. He he goes up and
you hear him do the two knuckle ratatat tat like
a cop on the window and Dino won't even look
at him and he's like uh so I got a new card.
Oh yeah and he just said to give you this and
just the look of actual pain on Douchebag Dino's
face when he sees the ring and he's just like
oh son of a **** You know and This is the most
true to the game scene in the movie. What follows
is this final race? Yeah along the PCH And just
to look at some of the cars in this race. I mean
you got You you got the red Aguera that Toby's
driving you've got a the McLaren P1 which is
Actually one of the cars featured in the Need
for Speed Rivals game. There's the like in douchebag
Dino's Elemento which I found this article it
says if the Lamborghini looks familiar it's because
Batman's tumbler in the Dark Knight was a Lamborghini
Hummer hybrid and I was like yeah I could see
that I mean that thing totally has a Batmobile
look to it there was the the Bugatti Veyron which
it looks like I would totally love to try that
car out. I don't think I could handle any of
these pieces of machinery, but I would just sit
in the driver's seat and make vroom, vroom noises.
But yeah, so the movie goes and Toby has got
the final position and very quickly he gets up
into fifth and a couple of the cars are taken
out in spectacular fashion. I love the fact that
there is a cop at one point You hear the cops
talking on the radio that don't forget about
the spike strip. They're going too fast Because
like the first car even the first cars tires
are taken out like the Bugatti Veyron it the
the sheer wind from its You know acceleration
would have blown the strip off the road. Oh Yeah,
and then they have that one cop who MacGyver's
his car with his nightstick and you know that
he turns it over and he hits the shift and how
he did not get his arm taken off because let's
face it that thing was going like you you better
have the reflexes of a cat sir you know that
oh yeah that takes out another car and in very
shorter it's down to Toby and Dino and they're
racing to like this lighthouse and you see Dino
true to form tries to tap Toby and shut Just
looking at Aaron Paul's face like you see him
like he's like stressing out and he's Like you
see he's in you know, he's driving this car Like
you know, he that's the best part of the acting
as far as the racing goes like when you get those
the the headshots of like Dominic Cooper and
Aaron Paul's like he that's really them, you
know, they're in the car they're racing which
is really what sold this for me and But Dino
tries to tap Toby's agarra and he, Toby lets
off the gas at just the right moment so that
Dino flips and crashes and cars on fire and you
think he's gonna get his just desserts and Toby
does that, you know, he goes a little bit further
down the road and he'll win and possibly get
away and he turns around and... You know does
the honorable thing he turns around and goes
back and everybody who's watching the race like
Monarchs watching you know Joe and Finn Benny's
in jail and is somehow charmed the female guard
watching Like standing there holding an iPad
where she in reality she would have just told
up the ghost screw Yeah, you know what he's sitting
there do is that that's my boy. Oh, give me some
space Give me some space starts doing a happy
dance, and then they're all like idiot you know,
going back on this thing, right? And he totally
rescues him. Oh, and this is for Pete. And just,
just drifts of one good and proper, and then
he finishes the race. Yeah. Now see, here's the
thing, okay? The message of this movie is that
you always go back. Yeah. You always... have
this whole racing culture has safety protocols.
You don't do douchebag Dino type of moves to
people. You don't intentionally bump somebody
to make their car flip over triple times and
explode. Unless you're pink. That's what I'm
saying. What really gets me though is the way
that the plot is basically It's You always go
back because like Toby just keeps going back
to what? Yeah, but see here's the thing the problem
I have with the plot of the film is the fact
that they they expositioned it like the first
five minutes of the movie They expositioned the
finale of the they basically spoiled their own
movie in the first five to ten minutes of the
movie because to be there uh... what's his name
will pete says i have this vision you're gonna
be between this ocean in this ocean at this lighthouse
and boom guess what happens in the movies he's
at a friend lighthouse in between these two of
us will be just gonna staring and just like son
of a bitch you know here was it you know and
here's the other thing about this movie what
i do like about it is i like that they just Passed
by the whole jail thing him being in jail is
just Okay, he did this he has to go away. Yeah,
you don't see him like they thought they don't
or anything right, right They don't make it,
you know an additional 10 to 15 minutes of footage
of him in jail plotting or Of at first Anita
and then later Julia coming to see him etc etc
etc. They use it as okay He did all this stuff.
He's got to go to jail. Yeah, he gets out He
then goes on his his track at the end of the
movie He gets caught again for you know racing
cars and and you know all this and all that and
he What is it? What is it like a hundred and
seventy eight days? We did another six months
in a California jail Right right and he gets
out and Julie is there with What I assume is
another version of the same Mustang Looking at
it. It could possibly be or it could just be
another high -end Mustang. She's like I'll drive
it He's like no no no no no no I've seen you
drive. Yeah, and then they take off and you know
all as well and They got to go pick up Benny
and you see Benny They make mention of Benny
started an exercise program for inmates and they
get that little after credit scene. Oh my God,
that was, you know what? I've never really listened
to Kid Cudi's music, but the dude was hilarious
throughout this movie. He was. I mean, to go
over the cast once more for those that came in
late, you know, we got. Jesse Pinkman himself,
Aaron Paul as Toby, Dominic Cooper, Tony Stark's
dad as Dino Brewster, Imogen Poots as Julia,
Kid Cudi as Benny, Ramon Rodriguez who I completely
forgot because I completely forgot about the
Charlie's Angels TV remake. He was the new Bosley.
Uh, no, no, no, no, no. Okay. Yeah. No, no, no.
I, you're right. I'm just saying, Oh God, no,
stop. And you know what, as much, I never really
watched the original series and I loved Bill
Murray's Bosley in the first one, but my favorite
was Bernie Mac, just Bosley, what's happening,
angels, you know, and he's got that smile on
his face. It's like, come on, how could you not
love the guy? You know, we got Batman. We got,
uh, Dakota Johnson as Anita Coleman Harrison
Gilbertson his little Pete who I swear I know
that guy from someplace I just can't place it
and there Were some other actors there was the
the cop and just excuse my key -clicking for
a second He was in no look no What's his name
Harrison Gilbertson he? Australian rules accident
have accidents happen blessed beneath hills 60.
What's wrong with Virginia? Conspiracy 365 haunt
last year need for speed this year and fall in
next year So he hasn't done a lot. Yeah. No,
I was just pulling it up here on the wiki He
was the head bounty hunter in Chronicles of Riddick
Just looking here to make sure I got this right
Yeah, that's him as Nick chinlund he was the
the cop that tries almost to arrest Julia in
the truck stop Okay, you know I wanted to name
cat Patrick kill Patrick, but that's another
badass character actor altogether No, I like
I loved I think one of the things I loved in
the movie and we spoke about this when we're
talking about the plot is the the whole thing
with Benny saying you know he used to be in the
military and he could fly anything and Joe Finn
and Toby calling bull and it's uh I love that
I love the the interplay one of my favorite things
was the interplay between Toby and Julia in this
movie like you see like this genuine relationship
grow between the two which kind of call me you
know obviously they're together at the end of
the movie You know when they kiss but it really
for me it really kind of culminates where they
We're gonna get a hotel and you'll stay with
me tonight, and she just gives it this look that
says oh really Yeah, and he's like I mean you'll
be safer with me. I mean I'm just gonna shut
up and drive now Yeah, and then crash yeah See
for me. Here's here's the thing now As I've said
throughout the last you know however long this
episode is gonna be For me, I went in with zero
expectations other than as long as they remain
true to the game elements, like the various locales,
which they did. It's a cross -country trek to
get from New York to California, and I have seen
a lot of different scenes in this movie or scenery
in this movie that I remember from the games,
like that whole forest scene. There's, um, I
think it's Need for Speed Most Wanted. The 2005
game, uh, has a bunch of forest scenes and there's
city scenes in games and, you know, there's,
there's desert and beach scenes. So I like that.
I liked it. The police stuff was accurate to
the games as well. What, you know, the spike
strips and the, I will say, I will say the news
10 chopper was a little, I was like, wait a second.
police helicopters don't fly that low and then
i realized oh yeah it's it's it's it's liar one
yeah uh... uh... this and as far as scenes that
were completely unnecessary where where he's
flying he's he's tracking the three lovely ladies
jogging along the river so you know what you
know it's i forget what the name of the actual
news guys like what's up a traffic check you
know it is like it's good it's all good Got to
commercial got to commercial No, uh the what
and like I said earlier the one thing that kind
of confused me about this movie is Watching the
trailer and seeing like where they haul the car
off the cliff in that I Mistakenly thought that
the the gate the movies plot was borrowing from
the run in that they start in San Francisco and
they're and I thought they were adapting the
run really because they they started I thought
they were starting in San Francisco and racing
across the country like west to east and then
he started that Toby starts off in the agera
and then he gets the Mustang somewhere along
the way you know I thought maybe they were going
to do that and the other thing like I said I
thought they were going to have like and I was
pleasantly surprised by this I thought they were
going to do the intense you know 12 -hour retrofit
fixing of the car Because because so much of
the promotion of the movie is you know hit Toby
most yeah Toby in this Mustang and then they
know that doesn't pan out so No, I am I am very
this movie was an hour No, this movie was two
hours and ten minutes. It was 130 minutes long.
I'm glad that it was only two hours ten minutes
It didn't feel too short. It didn't feel too
long to me, and I'm glad they didn't do like
Yes, would I have liked them to like here's here
Here's what I would have liked to have seen if
if if you wanted them to do the the fix the Mustang
thing if they did that I would want them to show
them starting that and then go over to Dino and
see his criminal ways While they're doing that.
That's what I would have liked to have seen to
make the time pass Yeah, I don't I don't think
that was necessary. I'm glad it wasn't in it
uh the music what did you think of the music
did you did normally i noticed the music and
sometimes in this i didn't i think because i
don't know if it was the theater i was in but
the scene where they're in the hospital with
julia and then it cuts to him racing or it cuts
to him driving somewhere the soft scene in the
hospital to that scene of him on the open road
it was like a huge letdown for me as far as the
sound because it was not I don't know if it was
the engine of the car that was too loud as far
as a sound effect or whatever else but I was
like I almost went deaf after the hospital scene
because the because the engine of the car was
too loud and I'm used to going to movies stop
typing damn it sorry You know, so, I don't know,
but, um, for me, oh, stop typing, dammit! For
me, overall, I did really enjoy the movie. Sure,
there are flaws in this movie. Is it going to
get a perfect for me? Not really, because I didn't
care for, like you said, the helicopter scene
and, yeah, okay, sure, he did that, it was funny,
but it wasn't exactly necessary. you know, staring
at women's asses in a helicopter. The whole Jerry
Maguire scene with Joe basically stripped down
and basically dropping Trout to quit his job,
that was a little unnecessary. But other than
that, I really enjoyed the movie. Yeah, as far
as the soundtrack goes, there was a couple of
songs. There was a Fortunate Son back in the
saddle. But as far as the soundtrack goes, I
honestly going into this movie, one of my main
fears was this was going to be music from and
inspired by the film sort of soundtrack. And
aside from like the two songs that were in the
film, it was pretty much just scores throughout
every scene, which was I love that fact with
a racing thing, you know, because as much as
I love Fast and Furious, just having Songs play
over certain races and that it just distracts
you from everything so but I mean overall I'm
kind of give the movie like say if we use our
you know, the GCR in scale. I'm gonna give it
a three Barely passing why it's well three and
a half really it's just It's not quite there
and a lot of things like I like the movie a lot.
It's a solid B movie, but it's It's it's a lot
of little things. It's like they know some It
almost felt disjointed how they get from like
Detroit all the way to Arizona And you don't
really see anything in between except for like
that truck stop Little bits like I it's not that
I just like the character of Pete but that whole
thing about him having the vision it just That
was yeah, they bring it up so prominently and
it's not that I thought they wasted time setting
up the crew in the beginning. It's just You know,
I thought there would be a lot more racing in
a movie called need for speed not that there
wasn't plenty of it It's just I thought there'd
be a bit more Even if they were playing have
racing over like quick cuts of him zipping through
different states You see, you know now entering,
you know, North Dakota or something like that.
So yeah Actually, you know what? I'll raise it.
I'll give it a solid four. It's almost there,
but not quite. Yeah, I'm also going to give it
a four, which is a really liked it. So we're
going to take a quick break and then we're going
to come back with some sequel predictions after
this. Ah, brave new world that has such patsas
in it. You know kids, a lot has changed while
your old uncle Joker's been away. New Gotham.
New rules. Even a new Batman. It isn't 65 years
in the future, but Legends of the Dark Knight
has gone beyond. Batman beyond, that is. Ah,
the new boy. ears are too long and I missed the
cape, but not too shabby, not too shabby at all.

right, we are back here on M wire and What do
we think about? Sequels first of all do you think
this is going to get a sequel at all? Well like
we said at the top of the show the film is Damn
near made back its money which in If I can channel
my inner movie producer that means sequel because
obviously they've made their money back We might
get a direct -to -DVD sequel, who knows if they
were to do a theatrical release. I would hope
that they maybe take a look at the storyline.
Because when you talk about storyline in the
games, basically from most wanted, through the
four games, not most wanted, underground through
carbon, you basically play the same nameless
racer. So you could do, say, the even the plot
if it was the plot from most wanted you know
do that because that's got that that was like
fast and furious the game which was better than
the actual fast and furious game yeah or even
if they if they wanted to adapt the run the plot
light of that game you know somewhat I'd be down
with that, you know, if it was an original thing
with an actual series of races, it's more in
the vein of a Fast and Furious sort of mold.
I'd be down for that. I could see at least one
sequel. I don't think this is going to become
like the next hot franchise, but, you know, and
if they did, like if they do do a franchise and
if it's like a different main racer every time.
See, that's what I was thinking because this
is essentially a standalone film. See, I was
hoping for a credit sequence where Toby meets
somebody else or Toby meets another racer and
they have a new rivalry or something like that.
That's what I was hoping for a post credit sequence.
I was not hoping for Benny twerking with the
other prisoners because that is another thing
about Benny in this film. absolutely embraces
the twerk, and that should never, ever happen.
No man should ever embrace the twerk. You have
failed at life, Kid Cudi. You have failed at
life. For me, as much as I loved Aaron Paul in
this, and as much as I'm interested to see what
else he does past this, I don't know if I want
to see Toby in these characters again because
we have their story beginning, middle, and end.
And it doesn't tease anything for a sequel, which
is fine. They don't have to tease a sequel all
the time, and I agree with you. I think if they're
going to do a sequel, it needs to be someone
completely new and different in a different set
of circumstances, a different city, you know,
starting city instead of upstate New York, etc.,
etc., etc. Yeah, no see what as much as this
is inspired by the video game series I never
thought of it really as a video game movie. I
It's more in the lines of like, you know, I mean
you could even reference bullet I mean hell they
were showed it at the movie theater before the
very first race at the drive -in there It's it's
more akin to something like bullet. It's more
of like it was an action racing movie. Sure.
It's just There was more of a story there. I
mean, however well it was executed. Yeah But
I really like I said, I really did enjoy the
movie. Like I said, I gave it a four I think
it's a solid movie solid be there are some flaws,
but it's a lot of fun and Yeah, like I said,
it's just it's it's it's its own beast It's it's
it's a standalone thing if they decide to do
sequels or spin -off or whatever I wouldn't necessarily
see Toby coming back. I'd definitely see Joe
Flynn and Benny coming back. And anyone, maybe
two of them have moved on and they get tied up
with a new racing crew and shit. But yeah, I
could see maybe one sequel, theatrical or not.
Yeah, yeah, I think for me I really enjoyed the
film. Like I said one sequel will be fine for
me. This does not have to be the next Fast and
the Furious franchise the Fast and the Furious
franchise is what it is and that franchise has
evolved into more of a heist Movie kind of thing
more so that street racing Yeah, it's evolved
more into an action film franchise than a street
racing franchise. So as always, you can keep

everything else. I will say for Need for Speed...
It did hold the number one spot at the box office
over the weekend that it opened for a little
while until That dumbass dog in his way back
machine Jumped ahead in time of them, but I mean
need for speed it it finished third Over the
weekend box office that it was out. So I mean
finishing third versus finishing tenth or something,
you know, something like Super Mario Brothers
or what's some other bad video game movies, Alone
in the Dark. I'm sorry, they never made a Super
Mario movie. Yes, they did. No, they didn't.
Yes, they did. Never happened. Yes, it did. Lies.
