About this Episode

The hosts kick off the fourth season of Knight Rider with an in-depth look at the three-part premiere arc. They analyze the high-stakes action of the Juggernaut, the frustrating lack of explanation regarding KITT's lost molecular bonded shell, and the introduction of Jennifer Knight. The conversation continues with the plot beats of the episode Kitnap, highlighting the humor of KITT adopting a dog, and finishes with a breakdown of the plane-hijacking storyline in Sky Knight. Throughout the discussion, they contrast character development for Bonnie and KITT's recurring fear of flying against the series' established continuity.

Michael, is that you? Yeah, it's me, buddy. He

can't hear you. Oh, okay. Tell him I'm fine and

I'm looking forward to working with him. Me too,

bro. Sickbay ain't my style. I'm the Knight Industries

2000, sure enough. Ready to ramble, ready to

roll, ready to strut my stuff. Does he always

talk like that? No, absolutely not. Does he always

talk like that? No. He's just picked up a few

colloquialisms during his reprogramming. I'm

working on it. Speaking of working... Oh, yeah.

Look, uh, let's get out of here and get a cup

of coffee, hon. Let's drop my stuff. A shadowy

flight into the dangerous world of a man who

does not exist. Welcome to Beyond the Night brought

to you by the GeekCast Radio Network and audible

.com. I am one of your hosts, Steve, Jim, and

Mike. Joining me is Dion the Music Man. Hello.

How are you, sir? I'm tired. I'm old. Yeah, it's

been one of those kind of years so far, and it's

not even half over yet. I know. That's sad. Yeah,

that's very sad. We're just coming up on May

and it's just like blah Yep, but we did get an

email our first email from Brad from Australia.

Hey Mike just finished out the season 3 Beyond

the Night podcast I have to commend you and your

dedication as well as your coast on watching

researching and watching again if one of my favorite

live -action series of the 80s Having episode

title recall when you cover so many different

series is a testament to your passion for the

geek fandom. It makes me even more excited for

the upcoming MacGyver series later in the year.

Keep up the excellent work. Yeah, we're not sure

when MacGyver is gonna happen. I have nothing

to do with that. That's all Optimus Solo. That's

all his. That's his favorite show. MacGyver the

bastard. Give kid a run for his money. Oh, I

know that I understand it's it would actually

be kind of funny to see those two just Like a

competition You know it kind of funny. Yeah,

so today we are going to be kicking off season

four with technically three the first three episodes

But if you want to go by Netflix, it's really

four because they broke up night of the juggernaut

bastards, but anyway What our game Michael don't

tell me you've forgotten already call me Ishmael

Everyone knows this book. All right, call me

Ishmael. Let's see. Yes gotta be Sounds like

Hemingway wrong Call me Ishmael The first line

of what novel? Moby Dick by Herman Melville.

Everyone knows that. Oh, man, that was on the

tip of my tongue. What's up? I'm going to ask

you to postpone your present assignment and meet

me as soon as possible in Chicago. Sounds serious.

Yes, I'm afraid it is on several fronts. A foundation

-sponsored laboratory has inadvertently produced

a mysterious, powerful new isotope which needs

safeguarding during a temporary layover in Chicago.

Babysitting. Sounds like a piece of cake. It's

not as simple as it sounds. Cernium -116 is volatile

and potentially dangerous. So, unfortunately,

is the second front. What's the second front?

The Knight Foundation's annual board of directors

meeting is scheduled for this afternoon. And

you have been requested to attend with me. Oh,

Devin, anything but another black tie affair.

Come on. Tell him, Kitten, I... Tell him we're

not feeling well. I'm afraid you don't understand,

Michael. Wilton Knight's daughter Jennifer has

resigned from the President's Advisory Council

to take a more active interest in the Knight

Foundation's operations. No kidding. I didn't

think she was interested in flying. You'd be

surprised just how interested. Number one on

her agenda is to phase out the Foundation for

Law and Government. Michael, I don't understand.

Neither do I. First up is the... two -part, two

-hour, season four opener, Night of the Juggernaut.

A volatile new isotope is created and the foundation

is guarded by Michael and Kit. A feared international

terrorist plans to steal it during a layover

in Chicago and intercepts Michael with the Juggernaut,

a specially designed mobile battering ram. It's

basically a shorter, fatter version of Goliath.

Yeah, did you notice that too? Yep It's basically

Goliath shorter fatter rounder without rockets

is what it is and without Garth Well, yeah, but

he's dead. All right. Well, he's actually he

was in prison No No at the end of Goliath. Oh,

that's right. Would they go up the cliff? That's

right. There is no there is no more There is

no alternate Chevy Blue Chevy Impala from the

60's in that one. The truck went off the cliff.

But no, Night of the Juggernaut is just simply

awesome. It is great. I love this episode. Even

though it's a... You know, I always boil crap

down. Even though when you boil it down it's

just an arms dealer or a, you know... uh... international

thief going after you know a terrorist going

after something this is that this is so much

going on first of all the battering ram destroyed

kid more than goliath ever did all man from the

inside out i know i want this time michael was

in it yeah uh... you know so there is that's

uh... then you also have them getting the formula

for Kit's molecular bonded shell. I'm gonna have

so many problems with that this season. Why?

Because... Wait, of the molecular bonded shell

comment I just made? Because he no longer has

it, yes. Think about this, okay? In the beginning

of the series, they said the molecular bonded

shell is what makes him invulnerable. If he no

longer has it... So that yeah, then they have

to make up all these systems. And he has a 40

% increase in speed and brake, like... Don't

get me wrong, I love Super Suit Mode, I love

EBS, I love Vertikit, I love all that stuff,

I love... But if you think about it technically,

if the MBS is gone, how is kit still bulletproof?

How is kit still bulletproof? You do have a point!

You actually have a point! How is kit still invulnerable

to explosions? To, you know, crashing through

walls? You would think they would have some type

of well, maybe you know, we discovered we have

you know Some other formula that could put the

molecular bonded shell back on they never did

discuss that They never did discuss that in the

show and you would think that okay. Well neither

the juggernaut Okay, his MBS is gone So why don't

they find a way not only to give him the 40 %

increase in speed and the super pursuit mode?

And, you know, why don't they somewhat give him

some type of an MBS in this episode? Well, they

could have created a whole new formula. Yeah.

I mean, it had to have been days. Like, it had

to have at least been two days between the time

Kit got destroyed and the time that Michael went

out, you know, suppers in the backseat and mama's

home hungry. It had to have been at least two

days that those... that the mechanics are see

we work on the car right it had to be at least

forty eight hours right you would think in forty

eight hours bonnie could have brought in someone

or could have created the shit herself or she

could have done something too but yeah that's

but you don't know it though that was just it

even devin said i'm not the full i'm not the

only person who knows the formula right now one

person does right but what i'm saying is she

could have brought in people to create a new

MBS, not reconstitute the old one. Create a new...

Oh yeah, a whole brand new formula. Right. That

would still say molecular bonded shell, but it's

a new and different formula than what the old

one was. Right. So that's gonna be pretty much

my entire gripe. That's gonna be my complaint,

I think. Well, my entire gripe for the entire

season is that there is no more MBS how is kit

in... you know in in in invulnerable bulletproof

missile proof whatever you know that's that's

gonna be my main grip throughout the whole season

right as far as this episode goes this episode

was so awesome it was the plot just flowed very

very nicely um there weren't any boring moments

in it well i mean except maybe like if you know

when when kit got destroyed um You know that

was that was to me like when I first saw night

of the juggernaut that was pretty heartbreaking

to see that because it was like, oh my god Yeah,

you know because now kit's actually being wiped

out and you know, michael wants, you know kit

wanted michael to save himself in a matter of

speaking Yeah, and you know He's like we're gonna

use all the power we got and kit kept telling

him we're losing power. We don't have anything

to really use Yeah, yeah, and then be you know

having You look at the juggernaut just slamming

kit from all sides. Oh, yeah. Yeah, yeah. But

as I said before, I think it was episode 21 or

22. John Considine is back. This time he's playing

Nordstrom. Yes. What's her name? Oh, God. Not

loose. Crap. Maggie, from Season 1, from Night

of the Phoenix. Pamela Susan Shoup is back as

Marta. I barely recognized her. You watched Night

of the Phoenix. Oh, that's Pamela. Is that Pamela?

Pamela Susan Shoup was Marta. I did not know

that was her. It's Maggie from Season 1. Wow!

Go back. Go back. I will go look at that. I want

you to watch Night of the Phoenix first. Just...

Okay. Watch Night of the Phoenix, and then watch

Night of the Juggernaut. It is the same actress,

two different characters. Just older. But I did

not recognize her at all. Just older? Wow. I'll

go back and look at that now, because wow. And

of course, as I mentioned before, Hauer was also

in a previous episode of season three. But no,

the plot is good. Everything that happens is

good. Now, you've pointed out to me in the past

that they basically use cover songs of famous

songs. Yes. I could have sworn that was Tina

Turner. No. That was no cover. That was a cover

song. Well, it's her song, but I could have sworn

it was her singing it, too. No. No. What? No,

that is not. It's her song, yes. Right, but it

was not her thing No, I need any time you would

any episode in all these episodes every single

song is the original They just use cover bands

cover bands. That's crap what they basically

the reason they did that and you know, why money

money Yeah, no, it's money They paid for the

song so they didn't have to pay for the artist

and the song so they could get a thing though

if if It's not um Here is a hero. Everybody needs

a hero or whatever. We don't need another hero.

Yeah. Yeah, we don't need another hero That's

what the name of the song is you would think

though if that song had already been released

on a disc Why couldn't they have just bought

the rights to this to play that song instead

of having to bring in you? You would think that

if they buy the rights to every other song that

was used in the it what that were used in the

series I know but I'm saying it in general overall

With all of the songs in the series, if a song

is already out, if a song has already been released,

why not just pay that artist the money that it

would cost to have it in whatever it is, five

or 10 minutes or five or 10 seconds in a television

show versus bringing a cover person in, having

them re -sing the song. See, that's what makes

sense. You see what I'm saying? You're spending

more money. bringing in cover people when they

can just pop in a damn cassette and play the

Actual artist song and then make a soundtrack

out of it that goes with the series or something

like that and the artists get paid along with

the record companies Yeah, but that didn't happen

But no that was not Tina Turner singing it that

was a cover artist singing her song I understand

that Devin Miles won't be attending. Yes, sir.

Devin had to attend an emergency meeting with

Dr. Quinton. I see. This particular segment of

the meeting has been requested by Ms. Knight,

so I respectfully turn the chair over to her.

Thank you, Mr. Lloyd. Gentlemen, I'll get right

to the point. Generous, though the Knight Foundation's

resources may be, they are finite. They demand

choices. We find ourselves on the cusp of a new

age, an age of technology, of quantum leaps in

pure and applied research. Witness the discovery

of Cernium -116. If we use this gift, we have

within our grasp the resources to help change

the world. If we simply spend it, all we'll do

is continue to fund a project like FLAG. To borrow

a phrase, gentlemen, a picture is worth a thousand

words. Jeffrey? What you see here is a waste

of resources. Human... and otherwise. State -of

-the -art technology to support a James Bond

fantasy run amuck. Mr. Knight? You know, I wasn't

sure about what was going to come down here.

I considered all possibilities except an outright

indictment of Flagg and the people who make it

work. Turns out I'm really glad that Devin's

not here. This stuff would break his heart. That's

a cheap shot. Gentlemen, I wasn't born into money

or to influence. I don't have a PhD in physics,

and I'm not exactly sure what cusps of a new

age means or quantum leaps. Sounds great. I hope

it happens. In the meantime, I agree the world

needs help. There's war, there's starvation,

there's disease. Any feeling human being wants

to see it end. Your father, Wilton Knight, felt

the same way. But he also felt very strongly

about the law and about the rights of the individual.

Your father on his deathbed took my hand. And

he bequeathed to me the belief that one man can

make a difference. That's what flag is all about.

One man can make a difference. That's what I'm

about. And whether you people approve of our

methods... It's necessary to get the job done

That's it This is obviously a complex and highly

charged issue and due to circumstances we've

not yet had the benefit of Devon Miles thinking

I therefore postpone the final decision until

Friday. However, until that time, I propose that

funds for Flagg be suspended and that its operative,

Michael Knight, be placed on probation. What

exactly does that mean? It means no more notoriety,

no more stunts, no more car chases, no more James

Bond fantasies. i don't get it let's turn these

scanners on chicago yay it's not i don't remember

them going too far east they pretty much stayed

out out the western part of the country for most

the series are some little rinky -dink town in

the southwest or something like that. Chicago

is probably the first time I've seen them go

that far east before. It is. It's the first time

we've ever seen them go east. They were always

out on the west coast. Yeah, yeah. SPM and ABS

rule. So, so awesome. Another thing I noticed

about the ramrod... uses the same growling sound

effect as Goliath. Yeah, it does. Yep. Super

pursuit time. Oh, good. Gitz got his ego going

now. He wanted a new configuration and he got

it. Yep. He got it indeed. One of the funny...

It was funny, but this was... It was a funny

comedic moment but it was before Kit got destroyed

and that was what was kind of sad and I don't

think it would have I don't think it should have

been inserted here but it was when Michael comes

out it's a scene where Michael comes out and

you see the you see him get into Kit and he says

what'd you do man what'd you do pal take a bath

Please Michael, no, yeah. Yeah, it was it was

the destabilizing formula for the molecular bonded

shell Yeah, and it it was fun like Okay, what's

gonna happen next and then you see the ramrod

just you know destroy kit and it was like oh

Bad timing for that joke You know, but it I mean

that that's it's not necessarily a scanners off

moment Um, but it was just kind of a sad moment

Cause it was supposed to be funny, but then you

see that sad part. And of course, at the end,

will you please tell all the other employees

to let me press the button? I have learned two

things from this incident. I'll save the other

part for scanners off. Was that an actual...

Don't have to go back and look in Trans Am's

history. Was that the first time a Trans Am was

a convertible? Was that like an actual model

that Trans Am had or was that something special

that they did for the show? I Honestly don't

know. I have never seen it. I've never seen anything

like that Yeah, so my guess is that was just

for the show But I could be you know, maybe you

could tell me something that I don't know, you

know, cuz I have no idea Yeah, I don't know I'm

gonna have to look at all I know all I know is

that it was a Pontiac t -top or you know They

they marked it as a t -top black Trans Am Yeah,

so that's all I know it as Hmm strange All right.

Well, we're gonna get to the scanners off and

prepare for some hatred people. Mmm hatred indeed

is not the word Well, it's no Halloween night

at least thank God Let's get to the scale of

what happened next. Which appears to be fragmented.

Devon, it was sprayed with a destabilizing agent.

Especially formulated to do exactly what it did.

I know where it happened, and when, and one of

the key players involved. Dr. Quinlan's doe -eyed

little assistant. Martha? Michael, you can't

be serious. I'm dead serious. Are any of his

internal systems still intact? I'm afraid we

have an enormous job ahead of us. I see. What

you're saying is that to all intents and purposes

kit is dead I Would exactly put it that way.

Well, that's the essence of it, isn't it? I'm

afraid we must face the facts Funny you're to

return to the foundation with kit and await further

instructions Michael you're always complaining

about aborted vacations Well, now is your chance.

Now? Yes, four whole weeks to do with as you

please. What is going on here? You just don't

throw Kit away like a TV set or a toaster. What

about the assignment? What about the security,

Assertium 116? As far as security is concerned,

I'm satisfied that it is perfectly adequate.

As far as Kit is concerned, look at him. Face

the facts. He's dead. I'm sorry, but that is

my decision. Michael, send me a postcard. Call

me Ishmael. I beg your pardon? You remember?

First line from a classic novel. You were right.

It was Hemingway. Of course. I don't believe

what just happened. Michael, what is wrong with

him? You're not going to believe this either.

But that's not Devon Miles. Don't ask me what's

going on here or how it happened, but that is

not Devon. you're not going back to the foundation

i'm not going on vacation we're going to stay

right here we're going to rebuild kit ourselves

michael you don't just let me just go with me

on this okay find a garage we got less than 24

hours before they can move the cernium got less

than 24 hours to figure out what's going on here

all right let's uh turn these scanners off No

more James Bond fantasies. I want to punch that

guy so much. Oh Good lord Yeah, all those board

members can kiss my ass I did not like Jennifer

Knight at all I Just I'm sorry, but you're talking

about your father Like that, I'm sorry you know

you don't you know to support a James Bond fantasy

What yeah, she I? Like that she finally came

around, but I just yeah, do you know why because

Michael finally made her come around? Well, yeah,

but that's yeah, but see this see this is me

off about that whole It makes no sense to me

about anything to do with her character, because

she wants, you know, all of this stuff to stop

with Flag, but yet she wants the Knight Foundation

to go do other, more charitable endeavors, yet

she's living in this giant mansion. Yeah, I don't

get it either. or or was that a country guide

i couldn't tell if that house or whatever it

was i couldn't tell if that was her house or

if that was a country club she was that even

though we only saw it as school sworn when when

michael walked up to work because one of the

background by the house itself i saw a gardener

somebody moving around in the background uh...

to look at the episode again yeah i i don't know

man you know stop i just like i didn't like the

fact that okay you know He's Michael is trying

to get along with her and he even says look,

okay I don't like you except for the fact that

I respect your father who was a man who saved

my life You know, we got something in common

here and she's a big smart ass. Oh, yeah, we're

mammals. It's like Okay, and he's trying to tell

her look the man you're trusting is not the real

Devon Miles You know, he's actually trying to

warn her and she has to find out for herself

that he was right Yeah, she's just a dumb bitch

I really wish they would brought they would have

um You know and well, okay couple of things.

Oh, well, the other thing too Is that what I

was gonna said the other thing is they should

have brought her in for season two Because and

the reason I say that is because of the Garth

Knight reference, yeah, I know I know but it's

Mean she knows about Garth Knight. So it's like

alright, so well he is a brother right? I understand

that right right right? She is her she is his

sister. So I was like, okay, so you're Pissed

off because you don't like Michael Knight because

he looks like Garth Knight who Garth Knight was

a criminal Michael Knight is a good person But

yet you don't like either one of them, but where

were you in season two when he was alive? Yeah,

and why do you have to wait till season 3 to

bring her into the into the story now? Oh, yeah

It was just it was just you know something to

deal with the whole fact of oh we must you know

band together to save flag and Yeah, but Michael

was doing all of it anyway, yeah, that's true

Before we move on to the next episode this is

not a scanners off moment even though we mentioned

I'm gonna mention it here, but oh No Boy find

I didn't find anything. I just I I just find

the Street Avenger funny What the fuck is wrong

with you? The street, oh come on, that's funny,

the street Avenger. Oh, RC, before he, yeah.

Yeah, yeah. You know, the dummy rifle and shooting

at a game. That was actually, you know what,

those parts were actually comic relief in a sense.

Yeah, they were. They were kind of funny. They

were. Alright, so let's go on to the next episode

of the day. Alright, up next is Kitnap. A group

of conspirators trap Kit in an effort to stop

Michael. In a subplot, Kit adopts a dog. Okay,

I think that part of the plot is cute. Yeah,

that that's the only good part of this plot Oh

seriously all is the rest of this episode is

is two former friends One who wants to be a master

criminal the other one who wants to frame him

and get out of the life That's really all this

is and they put two women in the middle of everything

with What's her name? Crap, what is her name?

Gina. Is it Gina or Lucy? Jodi. No, not Jodi.

Karen? Yeah, Karen. That's what it is. Karen.

Yeah, between Karen and Jodi, they put them in

danger. But this episode is just kind of lame.

It kind of depends because if you think about

it, I mean, yes, there is a subplot. But on the

other hand, you have a, like you said, somebody

who's trying to get out of the criminal business

and escape with his life and Have all this money

and you know, you've basically got two people

working against each other. They were supposed

to be friends growing up Yeah, you know yada

yada and Coming off of night of the juggernaut

this episode is lame as hell. I know that yeah,

there's just Yeah Like, I love that they will,

and they will continue to do this throughout

the rest of season four for the most part. I

love how the episode starts with, you know, Michael

and Karen just driving down the marina or driving

down the beach and Kit with the top. Like, I

love, any time a convertible kit shows up, I

love it. I absolutely love that part. So, you

know, I love that, and I love the whole thing

with Kit and the dog. That was just hilarious.

That was cute. But the actual plot itself, I

just... It reads to me like that other episode

that we actually liked the one with the two brothers

That one of them was dying You know which one

brother's keeper brother's keeper. Yeah, like

this to me is a shitty copycat of that That's

just the best way to describe that it really

is Let's go ahead and get to the scanners. on

a very private sailboat. Karen, thank you. But

would you consider doing me another favor? Anything.

Would you adopt a small dog? Dog? You might say

he's a friend of mine. Then I did see what I

thought I saw. No wonder I've been feeling itchy

lately. Sorry, Michael. He needed a place to

hide. And fleas are not a serious ailment. Goodbye.

All right, let's turn the scanners on. Obviously,

as I've already stated, I love Converter Kit.

That's just awesome. Kit aids and abeds a dog.

I love Michael he goes Did I just see what I

thought I just saw what did you think you saw?

I thought I saw Never mind. I think I should

have finished that cup of espresso Yeah, yeah,

and then and then at the end he's like I so I

did see what I thought I saw no wonder I've been

itching And then kids like sorry Michael, but

he needed a place to hide and fleas are not a

serious ailment Yeah, and then Devin has this

Devin has this straight look on his face like

goodbye I Love the teamwork between Michael and

RC on this one. I think that's great. I think

it was really interesting as like Because you

always have to wonder if kit ever gets stolen

or capture or whatever else Michael turns around

in the in the in the semi -bay like oh crap What

am I going to use for transportation? And I love

that they used the cab at a semi. That was so

awesome. That was so cool. That was great. Oh,

that was awesome. What did you like about this

one? Kit saying that he had claustrophobia. Because

it's when they. Oh, remember, remember, remember?

He's trapped in the container. Michael's talking

to me. He's like, you know, can you can you read

me? He's like, yeah, and he's talking to him

and he's like I'm still trapped in this claustrophobic

container and can't send lateral transmissions

and I Mean it was you know, it's like okay a

car saying that it's like a car saying it has

claustrophobia Okay, cute So, you know I also

like I also like the fact that RC can jump over

cars and slap a guy. Yeah, his acting abilities

improve over time. Yeah. I mean, I've seen David

flip over cars, but I'm like, all righty then.

Yeah. All right, I honestly even though I don't

like this episode as a follow -up tonight of

the juggernaut and even though I Don't like the

main plot of the two friends wanting, you know

one wanting to get out and one wanting to stay

in and the other one basically That wants to

stay and just kills the yeah, even though I don't

like that that much I didn't really write anything

down for scanners off because it was kind of

there. Yeah was just there it wasn't You know,

I think honestly the whole subplot of, you know,

Kit and the dog makeup. That's just cute. Yeah,

that makes up for the crappy A -plot that we

had, so we're gonna move on to the final episode

of the day! Unless my demands are met, I think

it would be appropriate if you were the first

hostage to be executed. Whatever Zurich's got

planned, the code name is Deep Sleep. My code,

Zurich, has cut the deadline in half. Bonnie

and the hostages are being held in a government

-restricted area. The entire field is rained

with landmines. Devin, you know I'm going in.

Let him come. Let him commit suicide. It's Michael

Knight, isn't it? Michael, there's rockets coming

in. Alright lastly up today is sky night Bonnie's

plan is hijacked and the passengers are held

hostage by an ex -intelligence agent Played by

Ron O 'Neill who wants money and political prisoners

set free Okay, I like the fact that they're giving

Bonnie some sort of character development the

fact that she's going to my hometown in Boston

Massachusetts for her sister's wedding and all

that, but it's a little late for that thought

No, no what I'm no that's not what I'm referring

to when I say that you just said about Bonnie

getting some character development It's a little

late for that because they should have done that

in the previous seasons like one or three right

thought it too, but Every time that she's been

in an episode She's been working as the tech

right? She's never we've never to this point

in either season. I've seen her take time off

or If she's not in an episode they explain it

away to where she's off working on something

else or she's off doing something we've never

Actually seen an episode where she is actively

going on vacation And then shit happens and that's

what that episode that's what this episode is,

right? So that's what I mean about character.

I don't I don't think she's ever to this point

I don't think in the three years of three out

of the four years that she was on the show that

she ever mentioned her sister until now No, she

did. Oh, so that's what I mean about character

development as far as like Bonnie outside of

the foundation So what did you think of a lot

of wrong? It was okay. It was there. I mean,

okay. I agree with you Yeah, that we do get to

see Bonnie develop some type of a character.

I think it's a little late. However at the same

time I do understand why they did it this way

You know, it just would have been nice to see

I guess in the previous seasons or previous years

some character with her Yeah, or you know Yeah,

that would have been good Alright, let's go ahead

and get to the scanner. They got a head start

real good time for super pursuit mode. Oh good

Let's turn the scanners on Yeah, Nick is acting

three times his age at first Remote controls

tapping out Morse code No, I'm not even talking

about that. I'm talking about before he even

gets in a fucking plane. He's hitting on Bonnie

and oh, I know that I'm just soda At least he's

no Elliot though that well we can thank God for

that. Yes, exactly Hey, look, Kit, in a plane.

He would travel by plane 26 years later. It's

the exact same type of plane that they use. Was

it, really? I'm not saying it's the exact model,

but it's the same shape type with the thing opening

up. Go back and rewatch KR08. It's the same type

of plane. Wow. Yep. Kit went skydiving. Literally.

But see, this is what makes, you know, I like

the fact that basically Michael dumped Kit out

of the plane and had parachutes, whatever else,

but this makes no sense to me because of the

simple fact that this has happened before. When

they went off the cliff in Goliath, Kit has flown

before. But he's afraid of flying. He even says

so. Right, but what I'm saying is like it wasn't

like he's said it in the past But you would think

I think the only reason why they said it in this

episode is because oh Bonnie's kind of scared

of flying and whatever else But he had already

been flying before regardless of his I'm saying

he he he had fears of it because he has said

in the past of oh Let's you know, never do that

again blah blah blah, but here they make it a

big point of saying Oh, I'm afraid of flying.

Oh, but you've done it before you dumb shit It's

not like you haven't like don't get me wrong.

I love kit. Don't don't don't get me wrong But

it's like it's not like it hasn't happened already

Well, it's like diamonds and I'm gonna go back

to a season two reference but it's like in diamonds

aren't a girl's best friend where kids like Don't

I don't want to fly and Devon's like but you've

never flown before and kit makes the statement

of one doesn't have to dislike Dogs to get bitten

by one, you know, and it's like, okay, so we

find out that kids afraid of flying But even

in diamonds aren't our girls best friend if we

find out there By this time, he should be over

it, because he's done it a few more times since

then. Is my point. What did you think about this

one? Like I said, remote's tapping out Morse

code. I found that quite funny, but yet strange.

Yeah, very, very strange. What else did you like

about it? I don't know who the older lady was

but it was the lady who was playing the mom Mother

mother While they were all, you know in this

doomsday divide of the bunker and You know, she's

basically being a smartass to this guy Well ever

tell them played mrs. Swanson Barbara Townsend

Yeah, I know I've heard her voice somewhere before

But uh, you know, I've seen her before I've seen

her act before I don't remember where but yeah,

but anyway, that's interesting Who was um, who

was Mary was Mary that one of the flight attendants?

Mary yeah It doesn't say I mean she didn't have

a speaking role did she I would assume she did

because it was Susan blue that was playing her

Will have to watch the episode again because

I don't remember her talking. I do know that

I Would have yeah, I would have to look at the

I think she was one of those she would have to

have been one of the one of the flight Attendance

or one of the other passengers, right? So I don't

have to look in again, but anyway, I liked her

and I like the fact that Ron and the Barbara's

son you know get into that little scuffle of

a fight yeah you know that was kind of interesting

you know madam I chose to under the option of

power I'm like yeah and I've seen him before

I don't know where but I've seen him before the

the new Don leader the black guy yeah I've seen

him in other stuff. I might have to look at him,

look him up before we end the episode. As far

as scanners off go, even though I like, like

I know I've seen that the actors, actress that

does the Mother and the Son, but jeez. She won't

talk about, you know, a mom complex, holy crap.

Those characters, jeez. You just seem like you're

about to lose your Okay, but here's the other

thing doesn't make any sense to me if Bonnie

works for the foundation She very rarely asks

for anything Devin didn't seem to be flying anywhere

that day. Why couldn't she have just used the

foundation jet? I Know you have a very good point.

I know it goes against The main plot of the episode

with the whole, oh, I'm hijacking a plane, I

get that. Yeah. But seriously, Devon can't pony

up some miles for her to go to Boston for her

sister's wedding, seriously? That should be a

fringe fucking package working for these bastards.

What do you want? Anything you didn't like about

the episode? I don't know. I get the whole hijacking

thing. But it's it's kind of like It goes it

goes against the I Don't know. I guess you didn't

really see much action in this Well until the

very end until the very yeah until the very end

So it was kind of like a cliffhanger. It was

like, okay, let's sleep through like the next

30 minutes of this or so Yeah Alright, we are

gonna take a quick break. You're gonna hear some

ads and some other stuff and we'll come back

with ratings and closing the show after this.

and MSN. Once again, the website to visit for

all of this and more is www .sky106 .net. Yes,

Michael just keep driving. So there you have

it folks the first three episodes of Knight Rider

classic season four Night of the juggernaut.

What do you rank it? I give it a five Same here

five kids. That's Easily might easily be one

of the best episodes of the entire series if

not the best episode of the entire series I mean,

I didn't like the Jennifer Knight Michael Knight

interaction. I could overlook that Well, he did

get one final zinger in you know, right you you

know You know you tend to Jennifer between you

and me or silence is a treat What about kidnap,

what do you rank that one? The cute plots in

there, but I have to give this one a three I

agree two points off for basically no real decent

A plot, but still it gets three points for the

dog plot. Right. Sky Knight, what do you give

that one? I have to give it a one. I mean, your

ranking may be different, but just the whole.

I understand the hijacking of the airplane. You

know, Bonnie's going to her sister's wedding.

No, she doesn't make it. But. You're dealing

with a doomsday device that could kill people,

you know, and and whatnot. It's kind of it's

a terrorist type thing. You know, I just I personally

have to give it a one. I'm going to give it a

two. It's not. It wasn't it. It's one of those

episodes that's just there. Yeah, it's not. It's

not an episode that it's no Halloween night.

In my personal opinion, there's no Halloween.

It's not. No. It's no race for life. It's no.

What is it with you and race for life? Damn it

Ain't that fucking episode But you know, it's

not you know, it's not you know, it's it's not

a forget -me -not It's just one of those things

where it's there for me It deserves a two because

that's like the lowest I can go But I wouldn't

be able to go any higher than that either because

three to me three out of five to me is like Kind

of middle ground. I know technically two point

five would be middle ground, but like a three

out of five is a solid score, but no, I just,

I just found it like, what is this episode gonna

be over? Hurry up. Just pacing it up too slow,

yeah. All right, you want to tell the people
