About this Episode

PecanCtMichael and TFG1Mike wrap up their coverage of Phineas and Ferb season 3 with top 10 lists of their favorite episodes and songs, plus honorable mentions. They discuss standout moments, character arcs, and least favorite episodes from the season, with detailed commentary on what worked and what didn't.

Hello, discerning podcast listeners. This is

Tom Kenny and you are listening to the GeekCast

Radio Network. Great! Googly moogly. I know what

you mean, Ferb. It does seem like more than 104

days. Glorf. Glorf? Hello and welcome to episode

84 of Palka brought to you by the GeekCast Radio

Network. I am one of your hosts, TF2, and Mike.

Joining me, as always, P. Concord Michael. Hello.

Hey, how's it going? It's going. Sometimes I

wish it would stop. Today is the 84th day of

summer. And that means that it is time for us

to get back to the talking about Phineas and

Ferb season three. This is the final time for

season three as we have 20 days left of this

podcast. So Michael, are you ready to jump on

the rollercoaster of a ride? That is the podcast

organization without a cool acronym. Heck yeah.

Heck yeah. And as I said, folks, this is the

recap show. Recap shows include top 10 lists

of our favorite episodes with honorable mentions

and favorite songs with honorable mentions We

were also going to do favorite moments and care.

We can still do fit We can do favorite characters

off the top of our head. Well, they're all our

favorite moments. Come on now, right? Exactly.

I don't know man Some of them scores and season

go back and listen to some of those episodes

some of those low scores we gave we We might

be kind of petty, but you know we were analyzing

the damn things Yeah, I don't I don't know. I

don't think I've given anything lower than a

two. We haven't like hated anything I mean, I

really dislike things with that like yeah hatred

yeah, no, this is not the girl who loved power

glide or Galvatron in a mental institution Webworld,

that's what it is. This isn't Webworld. And I

actually like Webworld. Anyway, Carnage in C

Minor is the best episode of Transformers Generation

1 Season 3. Anyway. Moving right along. He can't

follow me down that path because he knows I'm

wrong. I've forgotten most of those things. You

really don't remember Carnage in C Minor? Allegro!

They're all singing. That's the worst there really

shouldn't be musical episodes of anything in

my opinion. Oh, wow Yeah, well, okay, then I

guess I could cancer cancel our plans to do a

high school musical podcast Just cancel myself

Podcast that'll be out in a couple of months

something about What was it? It was to do with

Power Rangers, and it was something about the

White Ranger, and all of a sudden I just hear,

and I'm gonna leave the, I haven't even, this

episode will be out in months, it'll be out in

June, but this episode that we're doing now for

this show will be out soon. It's one of those

things where I'm going to leave the audible silence

in because you can hear the gear, the broken

down gears twisting in my brain. Oh crap. I just

said something that, and then my buddy who was

with me on the podcast, Jesse, goes, you're canceled.

So yes, we are going to start with our top 10.

Favorite Phineas and Ferb Season 3 episodes right

after this. We talk. Hello, Julie, what the heck

are you doing? Trying to make our spot sound

more exciting by adding explosions. Yeah, I'm

pretty sure you could have got the point across

with sound effects, not the real thing. Car,

car. Download the show on iTunes or if simplisticreviews

.blogspot .com. I'm sure your insurance company

will cover that. No, they won't. No, they probably

won't. Going to the opera house. What? What?

Come on Perry, sing along. Wait, wait, what are

you doing? Alright folks, our top 10 Phineas

and Ferb episodes from Season 3. These are our

favorites, obviously. Before we get to the actual

countdown though, we're gonna give some honorable

mentions. We will just go back and forth, I guess,

between these, or you can do all yours, I can

do all mine, whatever. I don't know, I have no

real plan here. So what is how many honorable

mentions do you have for episodes? I have four

and they're all Where's Perry? What? So, you

know, well, this is awful, but Where's Perry

is an hour long. It's it's not just like a double

episode. It's two double episodes. It's a movie.

And, you know, I liked it a lot. I gave it a

five, but I can't rank it as an episode. You

know, I'll rank it as a movie. I'll hold it up

next to the second dimension movie and, you know,

compare those two, but I can't in good conscience,

you know, put it on the list of top 10. Okay.

So that's all your honorable mentions? Yeah,

I mean honestly, it should be number one on the

list, but that would be unfair to all the single

episodes that were awesome. They were awesome

without being an entire movie. Right. I have

three. Okay, the only reason why I have three

is because as I was going through trying to figure

out which ones I Really really dug which ones

I kind of want to revisit to see if something

from what we originally said when we did the

episode Versus how I feel now if any of that

changed, but I have three Perry the octopus.

Oh Okay, which is the one where Perry was doing

all these things and and all that. Okay, welcome

to Totally Tools. Now, where is that contest

-winning platypus of yours? Oh, oh, will you

look at him. Oh, and he sits up too. Who says

they don't do much? Brilliant! But sitting up

isn't enough. He has to say... Totally Tools.

I know you're gonna say sacrilege on this, but

I firmly believe that outside of... Chronicles

of Meep. Outside of Chronicles of Meep. Uh -huh.

Meatless in Seattle and Meet Me in St. Louis,

which Meet Me in St. Louis was never made. The

advertisements are better than the episode, but

I do still enjoy Meatless in Seattle, so that's

why it gets an honorable mention. A long time

ago in a studio in Burbank, California, a ragtag

group of animators made a fake trailer for a

meep sequel they never intended to make. Unfortunately,

everyone wanted to see that episode, so the animators

were forced to write it and incorporate all these

seemingly unrelated scenes. Aren't you a little

young to save the universe? Yes. Yes, I am. I

want your hat on my desk! Maloney! Colin! What?

Jeremy's going to be there? Meep! I guess the

joke was on them. We now present Meep -less in

Seattle. Okay. I've got you now Perry the Platypus.

This is the most sophisticated trap I have ever

invented. In fact, it's so escape -proof that

I couldn't get that guy out. And Blackout was

just fun, but it wasn't enough for me to say

it's good enough to make the tie. Like, this

would be number 11 for me, Blackout, which is

obviously the one where they're all in the dark

and we don't know what Phineas and Ferb are doing

and Doof and Schmerz is going around town with

his bloodshot eyes and all of that. That was

a good one, yeah. Yes, yes it was. Alright Michael,

what is your number 10 top Phineas and Ferb episode

from Season 3? Number 10 is Tri -State Treasure,

The Boot of Secrets. Yes, the boot scrapers were

renowned for their elaborate spiral staircases.

If that Dorkum and Wesley boot scraper still

exists, we'll find it down here. Not if I, Weathington

Dubois, have anything to say about it. Oh, you're

gonna go all Nick Cage on us, are you? Well,

Nick Cage. I gave this one a four, but... It's

got Tim Curry. Mm -hmm. Tim Curry's awesome.

And not only do you have Tim Curry, but you have

a Richard O 'Brien and a Tim Curry reunion of

sorts You know, the only thing missing here is

the Barry Bostwick. Yes Now grandpa's off somewhere

doing something else. Yeah, he should have he

should have been there He's like walking in and

say oh hello, you know Yeah. And then, you know,

you really want to add to that. You have both

grandpas, because the other grandpa is Malcolm

McDowell. Malcolm McDowell. Yeah, he's Ferb's

grandpa. And then Barry Bostwick is Phineas and

Candice's grandpa. Yeah, but I was gonna say

he wasn't in the Rocky Horror Picture Show. No,

but he still has one of those voices that fits

into Tim Curry and all of that. Oh, they would

all get it. Yeah, absolutely. I'm sure. Yes.

All right. My number 10 is going to be controversial

because I had a really uncomfortable time editing

the episode where we reviewed this one because

you and I were so separated on it. I only put

it at number 10 because I want to bring more

attention to it and I want to have a conversation

about it because I watched it again and I see

where you were coming from with it. But at the

same time, I see it in a way where I think they're

trying to show that regardless of the way the

episode played out. You're going to say Bully

Bromance Breakup, aren't you? Of course. Bully

Bromance Breakup is my number 10. How did you

find me? Let's just say the initials are G, P,

and S. Next. A pack of tough gum and this cheese

grater. What is the cheese grater for? You'll

see. 486, paper or plastic? Plastic. Pay the

man propel ahead. That is it! I can put up with

noogies, wedgies, wet willies, and even the fact

that you apparently placed a tracking device

on or inside my person, but I will not tolerate

your ignorant decision to take plastic over paper.

From this moment on, I am no longer your ne -

Here's the thing, I watched it again and I agree

with you, they should not be romanticizing bullying.

and, you know, being a nerd and all that and

everything else. I agree with that part. However,

if you look at the way Buford and Baljeet are

with each other and around the group for the

last three seasons, when they're by themselves,

they do kind of the bully nerd thing, but they

are also friends. They are also best friends.

I mean, they're It might be a toxic thing for

them to be best friends, and that's not... No,

I'm serious. It might be. I'm just saying, it

might be, but at the core of it though, underneath

it all, I really think they are more friends

than enemies. Who would have thought that after

all these years, all I needed to take over the

Tri -State area was a grammar school goon, a

ham -handed half -pint, a knee -high dare -do

-well. Pint -sized Palooka. Pushy preemie wesson.

Are you done? No, I got one more. A pipsqueak

pugilist. Okay, now I'm done. Because if a bully

is your enemy, and I don't know about your history,

but I can speak to this because I was bullied

as a kid. If a bully is my enemy, I'm not gonna

go to an old folk home and sing a song with him.

We are so far apart I have got to get him back

somehow There is a bully sized hole A bully sized

hole A bully sized hole in my heart Who will

I give nuggies? You know what I mean? Like, that's

the thing. If Buford and Baljeet were really,

truly bully and nerd in the basis form of those

terms, they would avoid each other at all costs.

Yet every single episode for the past three seasons,

they're always together at some point. There

may be moments, like in Bully Bromance Breakup,

where they go their separate ways. There may

be moments where they're mad at each other. And

that's true. Buford is the bully archetype character.

Baljeet is the nerd archetype character. However,

their symbiosis is friendship more than anything

else. I just watched Good King Buford, Good King

Wenceslas from the family Christmas episode.

This is not going to be in the list anywhere.

I don't think it shows up. And they're singing

in that and having fun, and Baljeet's like, Buford,

why are you changing the words? Well, because

I want it to be all about me. And when Buford

is talking about taking presents from nerds or

taking candy from nerds, he's not, yes, he is

being a bully, and that is wrong. I'm not saying

bullying is not wrong. I am saying Buford's bullying

is projected at every other kid other than Baljeet.

Yes, he does bully Baljeet at times. Yes. But

there are times where Baljeet gets his comeuppance

because there was one time where Baljeet got

to give Buford a wedgie and he's like I myself

am so down. I am in the basement. Buford! As

much as I'd like a tearful reunion, we gotta

get off this mountain pronto! Why? Let's just

say if you want a neck like mine, you gotta start

lifting y 'all. Before any of us move, I have

got one last thing to do. Well, hey! I feel much

better. Do not you? Wow! I had no idea that was

so uncomfortable. I am so sorry. It's been great

sharing this bonding moment with you two, but

we need to get off this crumbling mountain now!

Grab hold of something! Do you ever get used

to this? Nope! I am totally gonna wash my hands

after this. Twice. Wooden and I know it's cartoon.

I know it's make -believe and I know I'm putting

more thought into this that probably needs to

be Yeah, I just like the episode because it shows

their Friendship in a way that I think is healthy

for them. I See, I still don't think it's healthy.

I don't think it's right to put Beljeet's Stockholm

syndrome under a spotlight and glorify it Anyway,

let's move on my number nine is A real boy. Ah

yes, I'll talk about that later. I love this

one. I like it when Norm sings in general. I'm

a lonely orphan robot. Just a scrap metal tower.

A misfired piston. Run on squirrel power. Don't

give my battery flattery What I want is more

gray battery A brain, some veins, it's a pottery

I got a squirrel on a treadmill where my heart

should be If I was real, I could really emote

Instead of shorting out whenever he sits on the

remote I want a dad, someone I can call pop Someone

to take me out for moldeds at the soda shop Someone

to take me on a fishing trip or teach me how

to ride a bike Who'll pat me on the head and

ask me, how you doing tyke? How you doing tyke?

Oh I'm fine, all things considered Wanna be a

real boy but I don't wanna sound embittered But

thanks for asking. Seriously. Norm gets at least

two spots on my best songs list. And we get Love

Muffin. So it's pretty spectacular all around.

And when I say I'll talk about that one later,

I mean when I talk about the songs. Yeah, you're

right. The episode in general is very, very good.

My number nine is Road Trip. Ferb, Candice is

right. We didn't get a chance to stop at a classic

all -American roadside truck stop diner. You

know, the jukeboxes, the sassy waitresses, the

little bowl of mints by the cash register. Too

bad you can't build one. I mean, it's got Droopy

and his wife. I mean, come on, how can you not

like that episode? We're training characters

for the whim. But it also, you know, it's them

going on a road trip. It's doof trying to find

I Don't know what he's doing, but he's trying

to find some sort of oh, he's transporting his

boom juice. That's what it is Hot flaming cacti

That's not good doof but the reason why I love

this this most of all is also gonna be apparent

in the songs list because The notes the no -stop

truck stop has one of the best songs in the best

scenes I think of this of the season. Yeah, because

how often do you see a truck stop diner? With

five course meals in cartoon shows not very often

deliberately, right? But I thought that was I

liked I liked it. It's catchy It's a little too

country for me. You just prefer that rock and

roll a little more, don't you? As we will see

later in my songs list, yes. Yes. Alright, what

is your number eight? Sipping with the enemy.

I know you. Didn't I see you flying off my dad's

roof? You're gonna have to be more specific.

I fly off so many roofs. Really? Nah, just the

one. Of course I remember you. You're Vanessa

Doofenshmirtz. And you're Monty Monogram. That's

right. Should we even be seen in the same room

together? I mean, you know, our dads being sworn

enemies and all. What can I get for you two?

Cappuccino with chocolate powder on top and a

ginger scone, please. And two straws, no doubt.

Okay, putting aside the fact that our fathers

are sworn enemies, wanna have those cappuccinos

together? Sure, sounds cool. Number eight? Really?

Number eight. Well, you know, there were some

really good episodes in here. And although this

did have a lot of Vanessa, it also had a lot

of Seth Green. Oh, come on, Ma. OK, you got to

separate your feelings for the actual person

with the character. He's playing a character.

It's like Christian Slater's voice. You hear

it and you kind of cringe a little and you don't

like the episode anymore. You know, behind the

scenes here, folks, I was almost going to make

all 10 songs that are in Delivery of Destiny

my songs list. Just to piss Michael off. 30 -second

snippets of song about what Christian Slater's

currently doing. It just takes you out of the

action, and you can't enjoy it anymore. But,

you know, we don't apologize for Vanessa here.

Mm -hmm. Oh, there's that delivery truck now.

Yeah Paul's outside my door Hello Amazon Prime

mm -hmm. It's the transformer It's not prime

day. What's your number eight? Number eight would

be minor monogram Carl Did I ever tell you you're

like the son I never had? Really, sir? Yes, it's

because you're so unlike the son that I did have.

And here he is. Come on over here, Monty. Dad,

come on. You know it's embarrassing when you

brag about me by belittling others. Right, sorry.

Agent P, you remember my son? Yeah, good to see

you, Agent P. Monty here just graduated from

his WACA. the high school without a cool acronym.

Yes, I hope to follow in my father's footsteps

and join you in the battle against evil. You

know, son, I've been meaning to tell you something.

Sure, dad, shoot. Well, as you know, my father

was in the agency and what you don't know is

that he pressured me into following in his footsteps.

But I always wanted to be an acrobat. So that

explains - Yes, the constant acrobatic lessons

you've been given since birth. You, Monty Monogram,

don't have to give up my dream of becoming an

acrobat. You can be anything you want to be.

But Dad, I want to fight evil. What? After all

that money we spent on acrobat training? I never

asked for that. Sir, I'll become an acrobat if

it'll make you proud of me. Really? I love that

they introduced Monty and I love Regardless that

like I like Seth Green and certain things. I

don't have as much Enemy of the state feelings

towards him as you do but I like the character

because he's so different from his dad yes, so

different from major monogram and I just, I like

that episode and how it played out and I thought

it was fun. Okay. Yep. Number seven for you,

sir. Tristone area. What? No, I gave them a five

for creativity. They got through an entire episode

with like little to no English, but you could

still understand not only what's going on, but

appreciate, you know, what they were trying to

do. And at the songs they managed to translate

get you get you goo in the caveman and it works

right and it works it was a I I like the more

creative episodes as we'll see but They they

tried for something different here and they I

think they knocked it out of the park Absolutely

My number seven is this is your backstory Perry

the platypus over here hurry crazy the show's

about to start ladies and gentlemen Someone in

our studio audience has a date with history So

come on up because this is your backstory Heinz

Stufenschmerz Let's give him a big round of applause

Tonight we explore the life of a true evil genius

and find out just what makes him dick But how

I'm glad you asked not a clip show you like clip

shows to you. Hey, this is the only clip show

What are you talking about another clip show

Arama? Well, it's not in my top 10 list, but

this is because this is This is continuity here.

This is this is do finuity is what it is because

escape my disdain for clip shows though Yeah.

Yeah. Yeah. Well, luckily I don't have a as big

of a disdain of if the clip show is done well,

which this is your backstory was done well and

Phineas's birthday clip around was done well

too, but that ending was a little flat to me.

But anyway, I'm gonna talk, but this is like

we everything I've said in the past 83 episodes

of this podcast. How did Doofenshmirtz come over

here from Jerusalem? Why does he still have to

go there for his driver's license? You've already

said maybe he's illegal or maybe he got, maybe

he married Charlene for status or we actually

get to see how he got to America. Like you don't

have that continuity in just any normal Doofenshmirtz

episode. You have to do it as a clip show that

takes you throughout his entire life. Well, I

mean, he literally gives you backstory in almost

every monologue and almost every episode. Just

this one, it's animated. They show it to you.

Mm -hmm. Eh. Number six for you, sir? Harry the

octopus. Okay, welcome to Totally Tools. Now,

where is the contest -winning platypus of yours?

Oh, oh, will you look at him? Oh, and he sits

up too. Who says they don't do much? Brilliant!

But sitting up isn't enough. He has to say, totally

tools. I got nothing. What do you guys think?

How about a hat? Brilliant! Ferb, I know what

we're gonna do today. We're gonna put a hat on

Perry. Hang on a minute, wait, go back to...

Brilliant! Nothing says totally tools like a

platypus and a fedora. Boys, he's got a lot of

work to do. Get busy. Come on, sir. Those boys

are brilliant! Sir, your 10 -30 balloon is here.

Brilliant! So I like this one, not just because

they do weird things with Perry, but because

of the cameos. I mean, you've got Richard Kind

in here. Richard Kind has a very particular voice.

Dietrich Bader is in here and not as much, you

know, but he's got a very particular voice. I

love his voice. George Takei, I think, opened

his mouth once and I missed it. Right. Didn't

quite catch it, but he was in here. We have just

a metric but ton of cameo. And we all know how

much you love your metric cut but tons of time.

I love I love tons of butts Yeah, I like big

butts and I cannot lie Mm -hmm. You other brothers

can't deny. Uh -huh. All right sir Mike's a lot

My number six is run Candace run Chocolate chip

cookie, they're freshly baked Get your bids in

soon. We don't expect this place to last long.

So just because I missed a few payments, you're

selling my building? Where am I supposed to get

that much money on short notice? I'm sorry, Mr.

Doof Schmid, those are the terms of your loan.

The name is Doof and Schmertz, like in Doof and

Schmertz? Now what? Oh, it's you. I'm sorry,

Perry the Platypus, I'm going to have to take

a rain check. You see, I'm having a bit of a

financial crisis and I'm afraid I won't have

time for our evil scheme today. Again? Really?

Yeah, oh yeah. Number one, I love the song Yeah,

I do like the song the song almost made my top

ten. Mm -hmm. The song is is awesome number two

Doof is in crisis and he won't call his ex -wife

like everybody is telling him to do so number

three we get continuity and background for the

Johnson family because Well, Annabelle is the

long -lost daughter blah blah blah blah blah,

but still, you know, it doesn't you know And

Doof, he goes out of his layer apartment, because

it's an apartment building. There are other apartments

in that building. He just has the whatever. So

he goes out, puts his pants on his head, and

comes back in like a wacky neighbor. And they're

like, oh, interesting neighbors. That's going

to make our life even. He can't do a damn thing.

Get rid of these people to make his building

unsellable everything he does makes them want

to buy it more. That's right Yeah, that was weird.

Yes, honestly just the sheer fact that Candice

because of the faulty running shoes because of

the prototypes She does everything wrong in this

episode up until the very end When she reunites

little Annabelle with the rest of the Johnson

family and even grandma says She's a keeper,

Jeremy. Like, the fact that she's gotten in good

with the whole Johnson family within the span

of an entire episode after being basically just

ostracized by it. Like, the complete 183 -60

turn she does. Yeah, so good. Number five for

you, sir. The Remains of the Platypus. Interesting.

I know you did like this one, but I really enjoy

the backward -style storytelling. Mm -hmm like

momento. I You know momento was I thought was

an awesome movie. Did you ever see it? I forget

And I still never have oh my gosh, you should

have gone and saw it. It was It's a really interesting

kind of like What's what am I thinking it's almost

like a mystery Mm -hmm where you start off at

the end and you're like what the heck happened

here and then they work their way back to the

beginning and It was again different take on

the storytelling they were they were really taking

chances here and I liked it a lot Yeah, I think

for me it's one of those things where I have

read IDW Publishing's Transformers more than

meets the eye we have about five years worth

of content over inside the pullback covering

that entire IDW universe. And every time they

would do, every time James Roberts would do a

jump back and forth in time, I don't like it

in comics. And I definitely don't like it in

visual media either. So it's not just Phineas.

It's not just this episode of Phineas and Forever.

I don't like it in. I don't like it when it's

done in anything. I don't remember Roberts ever

doing like a memento style, but he jumps back

in time. All the time. It's like pretty much

anything night beats in is well, right? No, no,

no, that's that's fine when I'm saying there

was something in one of the issues where they're

like, they're doing this exact same thing. 17

cycles before five cycles. They did. He did do

one of these things. Yeah. Yes. George Takei

was the positive reinforcement machine in. In

period after post and he said briefly in that

episode. Yeah, I completely missed it. I didn't

catch his voice. Yeah He's got a very distinct

voice to distinct Oh my oh my Well, so now that

all the Phineas and firm fans know that we are

huge comic and transformer geeks we can move

on. Yes number five for me is The Drusselstein

this is I'm calling it this because this is what

I called the file name The Druselstein DMV episode,

the Dunkleberry Imperative. The driving test.

But there must be some mistake. Your instructor

will meet you out back next. Hold my hand for

the platypus. I'm scared. Looking for books at

my dad's place. Why are you singing that? It's

just something we do. Hey, Swanky. It's all like

science in here. Yeah, my dad's kind of an amateur

inventor. I think I saw some books over here.

Oh, here we go. We can just put his other stuff

anywhere. What's the name of the book again?

Uh, Disappearing Objects, a Scientific Investigation.

Disappearing Objects? You mean like socks? Like

roller coasters, building to the moon, stampeding

cows, stuff like that just disappears. Does that

happen often? Oh, you would not believe. I just...

I love the fact that you have Baby as the voice

of the, you know, next. You know, the driving

test course cashier lady. Yeah. You know, I love

that. I love the song. Yeah. Oh, I forgot about

that. Neat. Yep. I love it. Exactly. I love the

song. I love the fact that this is probably I

mean, I know Doof is afraid of a lot of stuff,

but like this is like sheer terror for him. The

driving test? Yeah. You know, I think it was

more sheer terror for Perry. Well, yes. He was

like white knuckling it the entire time. Yeah.

Yeah. You've never seen him look scared. Like,

holy crap, I might I might actually be physically

maimed here. And he's got this look on his face

like this is this is a terrible idea. I regret

this immediately. Mm hmm. What is your number

four, sir? Number four is Excalifurb. Really?

Yeah, I gave this one five for Lord of the Rings

and the 80s band that played the battle song

at the end. That's right. of Monty Python references

yep and you know you've got Lord of the Rings

you got Monty Python you've got 80s hair metal

all the things you hate I just cuz I didn't get

exposed to it because I was too young at the

time doesn't mean I hate Monty Python I don't

hate Lord of the Rings I just have no interest

and I love 80s hair metal what the fuck are you

talking about I love rock sugar you leave me

alone The biggest thing you're forgetting is

Yeah, the biggest thing you're forgetting is

this is also Arthurian legend and I love Arthurian

legend lady of the puddle Yes, it is we're getting

into this weird Storytelling thing where they're

like, you know what? We're not gonna sit in the

backyard this time. We're gonna go to An alternate,

you know elsewhere's world with completely different

characters who are the same as our characters

and tell a different type of story and You know,

you just end up Luckily with a kaiju battle in

the end. Yep, and he's gonna get up again My

number four is Do for plus oh Really you liked

it that much. Oh, yeah, I love do for plus I

think we need to try something a little more

found yeah, no exotic Well hello Perry the platypus

over here now here look look a little more this

way What do you think, huh? I've joined you in

the genus Ornithorhynchus! That's right, I am...

A Platypus! Yeah, hang on, let me turn off the

dramatic lighting. How did this come to be? Well,

I'll tell you since you didn't ask. After years

of being bested by you in battle, I decided to

fight fire with fire. And in both cases, fire

means platypus. And with just means with. It

was simple! The best way to beat a Platypus was

to become a Platypus! That way, our skills would

be evenly matched. So, after a couple of promising

experiments and some intricate designs, I finally

created the Platypinator! He's trying to level

the playing field, and I think they bond more

than they fight. Yes, they do fight, but... I

don't know if they need any more bonding. I mean,

literally, they're... They don't want to admit

it. I don't think either one of them admit it,

but they're very close. They're very good friends.

They spend every day with each other. Yes, but

Peter the Panda is a better friend to do than

Perry is. Maybe what episode it was where Perry

knocks the door in and he's like, oh, hey, I'm

not doing anything evil today. I'm just jazzercising.

Come over here and jazzercise with me. And that

would be dance, baby. And they just dance. That's

maybe that's maybe yeah, and I I Liked that I

it's not on the list, right? But right it's stuff

like that. They're not they're not mortal enemies,

you know, they're not it's kind of like the the

I hate to say this. It's kind of like the argument

you made about the Yeah, where they're friends,

but they're also kind of nemesises, you know,

whereas I don't I don't get the Don't get the

same vibe here as I do from Beljeet and Buford.

I mean, it's nice that they're that they're close.

I mean and Like Vanessa even she's like she looks

at Perry and it's like it's uncle Perry, you

know She sees him more as a close family friend

then then her father's nemesis Yeah, no, absolutely.

Yeah You know and that's gonna tie into something

later for me as well What is your number three,

sir? The Temple of Wachadoon. So the markings

on this annuit should lead us to the Lost Temple

of Wachadoon. You and your Indiana Jones love.

Exactly. I give it a five for Indiana Jones references.

And it's a really busy episode, but it's so clever.

It's just so well written. Ohio Flynn and Rhode

Island Fletcher. It was clever. I you know, honestly

if I tried to write something like that People

would be like it's derivative crap, you know,

but they do it. It's like, oh, yeah, this is

brilliant. I Would have liked to have seen a

double episode That would have been cool Especially

if you know, they actually did the best Indian

Jones movie ever which is last for sale But they

again Doing something different with the characters.

They they they go back into a period piece and

I don't know. Let's say my mid 1940s surprised

a part of the Nazis Yep, speaking of doing something

different my number three is something you've

already talked about because I truly believe

it is something different because It's not him

being evil. It's not him trying to take over

the tri -state. Well, he's trying to take over

the tri -state area, but in a really, really

whacked out way. But mainly it's because... Just

described every episode. No, no, no. No, no,

no. There have been evil things that he has tried

to do. This is not... I'm sorry. I mean, technically,

yes, Starbucks is evil, but my number three is

sipping with the anime because I love Monty and

Vanessa together, and I love how Perry has to

distract. It's a cool scene. Yeah. Yeah, it's

a very cool scene I love I love the the the opposite

attract thing of when he does finally fire up

It's so awesome that we ran into each other Can

you imagine the look on both our dad's faces

if they saw us here together? I'm surprised your

dad hasn't put some kind of spy camera on you.

Yeah, where's your dad's date ruin anator? So

this is a date. Well, isn't it? Maybe. Do you

usually have coffee with your dad's sworn enemy's

daughters? No, just girls whose roofs I've flown

off of. Oh, see, now I feel special. Yeah, I

don't just fly off any roof, you know. Of course

not. I've got standards. There's gotta be a building

shaped like a... like a... An Easter Island head?

Oh my gosh, exactly. What is that all about?

I have no idea. Hold that thought. This needs

more milk. Perry? Is that you? Listen, Perry,

I'd really appreciate it if you didn't let my

dad know that I'm here with the son of a sworn

enemy. This is going pretty well, and I wouldn't

want him to spoil it. Can you help me? His innator,

where you see all the cool, hip, Seattle -type

people, and then they're all turned into nerds

from the 80s. And it's like, oh, OK. And then,

obviously, the twist at the end is that Lawrence

and Linda become, you know, Seattle coffee drunkers.

But yeah, I absolutely love sipping with the

enemy it was damn close to being my number one

because I Really really like like we've been

saying for the last 83 episodes now 84 with this

one Yeah, anytime we get more Stuff with Vanessa.

It's a good amazing awesome episode, right? Usually

Mean if she's there for like half a second and

she doesn't say anything There but you know,

it's nice when she cameos it's nicer when she's

there and she has speaking lines. It's awesome

when she sings Exactly. Yeah What is your number

two, sir? The dougalberry imperative Wow, apparently

I like this one better than you did but I really

really like that driving test song. In this circumstance

back home. It's exactly the opposite I'm doofy

schmutz. Do you attest that you take this driving

test of your own free will? Yes, you may go.

Oh wait wait. I'm not ready. Let let me slack

myself up Just a few breathing exercises, then

I'll go okay, right? We have a choker! Turn,

yield, halt, if you fail you know who's at fault

Our vehicular assault either do or say Who's

hosting driving test boards? Gas! Chip! Brake!

Drinking coffee's a big Nip! Stay! Try not to

plunge into the lake When you're doing that cool,

soul -sting -diving test vault! I'm okay! Use

the hands when you steer her Then check in the

mirror What you see may be nearer Don't lay on

the horn! See the traffic come passing Pedestrians

crossing Never drive when you're passing You

wish you were mine! Belt yourself Only made to

protect Your health Need your friends all your

heart I think I did okay! Yeah, the driving to

the song is amazing. It's a waltz. But yeah,

I like that a lot. It's like the episode. I like

how they took the they took it out of the tri

-state area. They put it in a different environment.

You know, they interact with different people.

And oddly, it's some people that you kind of

recognize, but. They again, doing something different,

and it turned out nice with that driving test.

I love that we have a choker. They always gonna

use the goats cuz you know you can't have your

ghost turning will counterclockwise and clockwise

at the same time You need a differential in between

that's right All right my number two It's delivery

of destiny The band Love Handle will play it

your job. You snuck your way right into my heart.

That's impossible. I work on a truck. He keeps

two hands firmly on the wheel. Ten and two, or

nine and three. He signals when he's changing

lanes. He's a Justin Mir... I got a complaint

from City Hall. They haven't got their package

yet. Sorry, Dad. I had a delay, but I'm on my

way. He's on his way. Yeah, yeah. He's on his

way. There's a dweeb in the crosswalk. Good thing

we stopped in time. He's into his computers.

Yeah, he's into sci -fi. He's into sci -fi. For

your information, it's not sci -fi. It's speculative

fiction. Doofenshmirtz. I just delivered a package

to Heinz Doofenshmirtz. I just needed a box.

My cat loves to play with them. Are they with

you? Yes. Yes they are. So guys, like I was saying,

I'm not sure if I'm totally fulfilled as a delivery

guy. There's a whole world of things to do out

there. There's a whole world of things to do

out there. Look at those kids. Look at those

kids. Hey, we know them. Hey, Phineas. Hey, Ferb.

Hey, guys. And you guys. What is it you really

want? We're hungry and we want to eat. Fine.

We're hungry and we want to eat. But I have customers

waiting. I need barbecue. Why don't you use the

elevator? Got a song for that? Actually, we do.

We just climbed up 65 flights. Sliding down a

tube, yeah, sliding down a tube. Sliding, sliding

down a tube. I have the tools right here. Well,

what good are they to him here? Poor Agent B's.

He's just a platypus trapped in a cage, wearing

a tiny hat, a little fedora. A platypus in a

fedora. Evil scientist in a weird -looking building

intent on juicing City Hall Hey, you know that

guy I've seen your friend It took you long enough

All of our other agents are busy out in the field

if only there was a way to get these tools to

H &P Yeah, before doofenshmirtz juices City Hall

in seven minutes Hightail just happens to have

a seven -minute delivery. I can get those tools

to your friend. I've never used it, but here's

the 2374. Sign at the bottom here. Here's a pen.

Initial this on page two. Put those tools in

here. I've got the regulation box. And you keep

pink copy. Blue copy's mine. Good luck, young

man. We could use someone like him at the agency.

Carl, why don't we have a soundtrack plan? Schedule's

got to wait, Cat. I have special delivery to

make. could not get into that episode I just

I just I love that episode because it's it's

got more love handle in one episode than the

entire series maybe so you know I mean I love

that I think that's cool it's also one of those

episodes where at the heart of it it's exploring

a guy and wanting to you know see his station

in life and make sure he's comfortable with it

and figure out what he's meant to do kind of

thing. So it's kind of like this hidden, you

know, message sort of. But yeah, I just found

it kind of depressing, depressing. It's like,

yeah, it's like I I'm not sure that. Well, how

should I put it? And to go back to your point,

love handles in it. They they sing tiny snippets

of songs that are mostly other songs that they've

sang with words that are changed to describe

this guy's day and And you know, i'd rather listen

to love handle sing a love handle song Like in

his entirety like all all minute and a half two

minutes of it then to hear, you know 30 or 10

15 20 seconds of of a snippet of this guy's carrying

his coffee down the street yay you know it's

like beth it's not a song yes but i mean come

on kitty in a box kitty in a box is a good song

just sounds dirty and and and then the whole

irony of the whole thing the elevator's fixed

you got a song for that yep we just walked up

65 flights you know Yeah, see I didn't like it

that my favorite episode drum roll, please This

is our both of our number one favorite episodes

of Phineas and Ferb season three What is your

number one sir number one is me plus in Seattle

Oh, yeah, I think it's a double episode with

meep. They always get fives A long time ago in

a studio in Burbank, California, a ragtag group

of animators made a fake trailer for a meep sequel

they never intended to make. Unfortunately, everyone

wanted to see that episode, so the animators

were forced to write it and incorporate all these

seemingly unrelated scenes. Aren't you a little

young to save the universe? Yes. Yes, I am. I

want your hat on my desk! Maloney! Colin! What?

Jeremy's going to be there? Meep! I guess the

joke was on them. We now present Meep -less in

Seattle. Is it the best episode of the season?

Well, no, maybe. I don't know. It probably is,

but it's a sequel to an earlier beloved episode,

an earlier beloved double episode. Yes, but this

is it as good as the original maybe not but it's

uh, it's pretty good. I Liked it This is kind

of like me trying and I will defend it until

the day I die because I do feel it is superior

to the first film This is like me trying to defend

either of these two sequels Against their originals

and people are like you're crazy Meeples in Seattle

to me is basically The Neverending Story 2 and

Caddyshack 2 to everybody else. Whereas I love

Caddyshack 2 and Neverending Story 2 and no one

likes those at all half the time because just

because Rodney Dangerfield's in the first movie,

whatever. But yeah, no, I was I do enjoy Me Placency.

I'm not enough to make it number one. These are

two movies that I did not know had sequels. So

this is serious. Seriously, you do not know that

that never never new story actually has two sequels

It has to end it was never new story never necessary

to the next chapter and the never ending story

three something I never saw the third one, but

the second one I actually saw in like at some

Free period in in middle school or something

or whatever kindergarten. I forget and caddyshack

2 Oh, man, that has one of the best Kenny Logan

songs of all time. They went back to the Kenny

Loggins well. Hey now, you leave nobody's fool

alone. Anyway, that's funny. Yeah Well, like

I said, I like me plus and you are right it is

number one worthy in general but it was not gonna

be number one worthy for me because it just Those

advertisement no, it made my honorable mentions.

Oh, yeah. No, it did made my honorable mentions

You know those besides Chronicles of me the other

two The advertisements were better than like

trying to get all those clips into an actual

episode and make it story. I mean, I applaud

them for trying and they did a decent job with

me plus in Seattle, but like the whole scene

where she's like, what? Jeremy's going to be

there. It made more sense in the, in the trailer

than it did in, in the actual episode. Yeah.

My number one can talk, make a phone file, try

stone area. Oh really? Oh yeah! See now when

I gave it seven you were like really and I'm

like, yeah I thought I thought that was more

of a knock it on maybe it shouldn't have been

in the list at all I'm like why isn't this your

number two? Yeah, it was really well done I just

enjoy it I love try stone area because you know

The whole language thing and they don't really

tell you until the end and whatever You understand,

like you said, you understand the staples of

Phineas and Ferb within the language. And then

there's Doof. Roger lives over here. I'm over

here. You know, you know, and it just gets worse

and worse and worse for Doof, especially when

the elephant doesn't run away. The elephant just

turns around and basically horn hooks him. Poor

dude. Tri -Stone area. Alright, those are our

its host, Tim Nydel. So it's gotta be good. gentlemen

and it is time for our top ten favorite Phineas

and Ferb season three songs we have only listed

songs that appeared originally in season three

so there is no Gitchy Gitchy Goo there is no

um Perry theme song kick your way right into

your heart or you know whatever there's none

of that because that's in season one and season

two There's no Paris. I mean the Paris song is

great. We already know that there's no point

in putting it in another like this is specific

to season 3 of songs and we have a Well, I have

a bunch of honorable mentions. I don't know how

many you have but I Three. Okay, you have three.

What are your three honorable mentions for songs?

My first one is weaponry. Okay norm has a song

Norm already has a song on the list. So I pulled

this one out to make room for other songs. Half

a Day Together. It's a fun pop song. It's and

it's and it's pleasant in that it kind of shows

Phineas and Ferb and Perry kind of enjoying themselves

out of the park. Right. Which is something you

don't normally get to do. I mean, Perry normally

goes off to fight Doof so you don't get to see

him. actually participate in the, you know, the

shenanigans. Right. And thirdly, I like living

with monkeys. Oh, I forgot about that one. Oh,

with monkeys. Yeah, I love it. I love the song.

I just forgot to. I just. Because again, we were

discussing off -air about leaving Where's Perry

out of the thing. So I didn't even look at Where's

Perry for the songs because we were leaving the

episode. I looked at every other episode's song

list to make up my list except Where's Perry

because we were avoiding that because of the

episode movie thing. Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't

realize. No, no, it's fine. I've got two on my

list. For me I have a lot of them. I'm just gonna

list them. I I'll say maybe one or two things,

but I'm not gonna big honkin hole in my heart

Just love that. The driving test song. I love

that. Running from love in a bear suit. I love

that song. That almost made my list. Candice's

non -reaction. It's when she's like, I'm just

going to sit here and watch my stories. Yep,

yep, yep. Resist the urge to move. Red Candice

Run. It's probably on your list, isn't it? Because

that was one of your favorite episodes. Yep.

Yep. It is. It's on my list somewhere. That's

a good song. Yeah, it is. These two are just

kind of silly, because one, you're like, that's

not really a song. But it is. Monogram raps this

old man. I thought that was funny. Again, these

are honorable mentions. They're not actually

making... Well, neither is. He's major monogram.

sits behind the screen like yeah however the

last each song though at least yeah the last

ones I will I will mention whale mingo I love

the whale mingo song I don't like Buford singing

for the most part but it is a nice song yeah

it's kind of an entrancing song when platypi

fight this is from doofus when platypi fight

I love that song And then I'm going to mention

one now, and then I'll mention the last one.

This one was actually cut, but we watched it

before the recording of the podcast. This is

your backstory. I actually wish it was a song

that was put in the show somewhere. That would

have been cool in that one episode. And then

the final one I'll mention, because again, it's

another rock type song. Be a squirrel. It's when

they're trying to train the squirrels to be undomesticated

again. I didn't like that episode. Of course

you didn't. Okay, so let's get into the actual

list. Let's get into the actual list. This is

where the good quote stuff comes in. Getting

into the ditty gritty. Number ten, what do you

got? I like Get Down from Sci -Fi Pie Fly. What's

up with that? Listen, Stacey! Mayday! No bus!

No blow up in face! Thanks! Well, now that you've

put it crazy, back to my stories. Take in a me

day Non -react And that's the one that you said

where it's for sister urge to move No, it's okay.

Don't get up stay on the couch. I'm like, that's

totally me I'm just gonna lie here on the couch

and not do anything today My number ten is the

ballads of Paul from delivery of destiny So instead

of putting all ten songs from delivery of destiny

as my countdown I put them as all one number

for number 10. So all of the Love Handle songs

that are in delivery of Destiny is my number

10. The band Love Handle will play it your job.

You snuck your way right into my heart. That's

impossible! I work on a truck. He keeps two hands

firmly on the wheel. Ten and two, or nine and

three. He signals when he's changing lanes. He's

a Justin Mirror so he can't see He's driving

safe He's a safe driver He's driving safe He's

a safe driver Hello? I got a complaint from City

Hall They haven't got their package yet Sorry

Dad I had a delay but I'm on my way He's on his

way information, it's not sci -fi, it's speculative

fiction. Are they with you? Yes, yes they are.

So guys, like I was saying, I'm not sure if I'm

totally fulfilled as a delivery guy. There's

a whole world of things to do out there. Hey,

Phineas. Hey, Ferb. Hey, guys. And you guys.

What is it you really want? Fine. But I have

customers waiting. I need barbecue. Why don't

you use the elevator? Got a song for that? Actually,

we do. We just climbed up 65 flights. Slide it

down a tube, yeah, slide it down a tube. Slide

it, slide it down a tube. I have the tools right

here. Well, what good are they to him here? Poor

Agent P's. He's just a platypus trapped in a

cage, wearing a tiny hat, a little fedora. A

platypus and a fedora. Trapped by an evil scientist.

In a weird looking building. Intent on juicing

City Hall. I've seen your friend. It took you

long enough. All of our other agents are busy

out in the field. If only there was a way to

get these tools to Agent P. Yeah, before Doofenshmirtz

juices City Hall in seven minutes. Seven minutes.

Hightail just happens to have a seven -minute

delivery. I can get those tools to your friend.

I've never used it, but here's the 2374. Sign

at the bottom here. Here's a pen. Initial this

on page two. Sign on the bottom. Put those tools

in here. I've got the regulation box. Regulation

box. And... You keep Pink Copy, Blue Copy's mine!

Good luck, young man. We could use someone like

him at the agency. Carl, why don't we have a

soundtrack plan? Schedule's gotta wait, Dad.

I have a special delivery to make. What is your

number nine sir on the Savannah from where's

Perry Really? Does that banana have international

coverage? All right, everyone load up. We are

going on a safari And I feel And this, everyone,

is the Uncharted Gorge. They call it Hajulikani

Wadi. That's beautiful. What's it mean? Uncharted

Gorge. Wow, they really nailed that name. Yeah,

it's like a... It's like they're channeling Lion

King, and I really like Lion King. Yeah, I really

like that one. And again, it's like, Honest Savannah

and Living with Monkeys are, you know, I had

to put them side by side and go, wow, which one

do I like better? And Honest Savannah made it

to the list. It made it way in the back of the

list, but it made it on the list. Number nine

for me is a little bit of home on the road. Is

that... music? What?! Hey Candice, welcome to

the no -stop truck stop. It's like a little bit

of home on the road. Phineas, my last peaceful

hours of vacation, and you built this? More coffee,

miss? This is - Miss, I'd like the breakfast

special. Honestly, you can't close your eyes

for one second around you, boys. Hash browns

are fruit. Hash browns. You're having fruit.

Oh. You are so busted. Hey, some orange juice

over here. Yeah, hold your horses. I mean, it's

fat enough in our own backyard, but at least

that's stationary. Do the eggs southwest have

bacon in them? For a bacon in the southwest?

There's bacon. Is the bacon good? It's bacon.

OK, then I'll take it. I'm not getting any younger

here. Enjoy the view while you're slurping homemade

stew. And when you're finished, you can sit and

chat. Our juke plays latest hits from 1966. We

may not know where we're going, but we sure know

where it's at. There's chicken pot steak and

devil's food cake as we whirl through another

zip code. Is that from the road trip? From road

trip. This is when they're doing the whole truck

stop thing. Yeah. That is a cool song. Again,

a little bit country for my taste. I spent 25

years in Kentucky with the first two of them

thinking that's all they had in Kentucky was

country music. I didn't change the radio station

until 1995 to realize that they had other music.

Anyway, number eight, what do you got? Number

eight is the Drusselstein driver's test waltz.

Oh, yes. Yep, from the Ducal Berry Imperative.

Thanks for coming along, Perioplathus. You know,

having you around just makes me feel, you know,

safer. In this circumstance. Back home, it's

exactly the opposite. Kind doofy schmutz, do

you attest that you take this driving test of

your own free will? Yes! You may go! Oh, wait,

wait. I'm not ready. Let me slack myself up.

Just a few breathing exercises, then I'll go.

Okay, Ray? We have a chonker! Stay! Try not to

plunge into the lake! When you're doing that,

do those things! Diving test vaults! I'm okay!

Use the hands when you steer her Then check in

the mirror What you see may be nearer Don't lay

on the horn! See the traffic abossing Pedestrians

crossing Never drive when you're crossing You

wish you were mine! Belt yourself Only made to

protect Your health Need your friends all your

heart! It's it's it's a really good song It's

like it might be it might be the same guy that

sings it but he's got this kind of German accent

while he's doing it. And it's fun. It's really

fun. Absolutely. All right, my number eight is

With a Dart. I'm blurry and drowsy but ballotry

beckons Though I'll probably lose consciousness

in 17 seconds Don't know my location I'm not

sure that I care But I think I'm in a jungle

and I'm covered in hair If you want to know why,

please refer to the chart I've been shot in the

butt with a dart I've been shot in the - I got

shot in the butt with a dart. It's a whole Doof

song after he gets shot in the butt with a dart

and he gets orange hair. It's when Candice turned

herself into an orangutan when Mrs. Johnson hunts

her down like, you know, a guy. Yeah. Kind of

thing. Yeah. I just I love Doof singing that.

It's just hilarious. OK. I've got a better Doof

song on the list, so I'll give it a try. What

is your number seven, sir? Number 7 is deep into

your mind from the monster from the id episode.

Ah, yes. Just because it sounds like Alice Cooper.

by squirrels or a little girl with curls? Do

you fear them number seven? Does a zebra call

I'm not saying that the singer sounds like Alice

Cooper. If he sneered a little bit more, it might

be more Alice -y. But the song itself is very

welcome to my nightmare. There you go. I'm going

to pretend it's an Alice Cooper song. There you

go. Number seven for me is Funhaus. So, where's

this fun house? Candice cleaned the whole thing

up before you could see it. You cleaned the whole

thing up before I could see it? Yes. Well, that

seems unlikely Yes, yes, it does house. This

is the one where they put the fun house in the

house uh -huh and They're singing and singing

and singing and fun house and Dave you might

be in the Navy and at the very end of it in order

Song at the end of it the reason why I mean I

would have put it higher But I have other songs

that I that I think are a little bit better.

I do love this song but At the end of it Candice

goes through and eats all of the fun house and

they basically do the entire song in reverse

I almost should have made that number one because

that's really unique in at least two a cartoon

song. Yeah. Yeah What is your number six? Sir,

number six is I want to be a real boy from the

real boy episode I'm a lonely orphan robot just

a scrap metal tower a Misfired piston run on

squirrel power titanium toy don't give my battery

flattery what I want is more green battery I

got a squirrel on a treadmill where my heart

should be if I was real I could really emote

instead of shorting out whenever he sits on the

remote I want a dad someone I can call pop someone

to take me out for moldeds at the soda shop someone

to take me on a fishing trip or teach me how

to ride a bike who'll pat me on the head and

ask me how you doing tyke oh I'm fine all things

considered wanna be a real boy but I don't want

to sound embittered for asking seriously yes

I will talk about that later oh oh it's higher

on your list oh yes Norm gets to sing and it's

a rap and it's the best really good I really

like it a lot yeah it's very fun and I love his

backup singers there's a lot of backup singers

in this season it's so good yeah so good my number

six is You're going on the tour de Ferb. I got

the wind in my hair, I got the bugs in my teeth,

my wheels are spinning. I got the road underneath,

it's a competent It was schedule okay there aren't

I mean I'm sure if we need to find if I need

to go and look at the Phineas and Ferb wiki which

I usually do anyway I'm sure I could find a lot

of Ferb songs for this season but this to me

is season 3's version of backyard beach even

though Ferb isn't singing this whereas he was

singing that right this is about him this is

about the bike thing that kind of thing and I

just kind of dug it number five for you epic

monster battle from ex -galafurb of course it's

the 80s kaiju rock song Do you hate the Cucumber?

What, had a light lunch? It's an epic monster

battle Shall the awesome monster horn For an

evil wizard of the dragon foot And the Unowheel

Scorpio Beggar's gonna look good Crashing turns

to quiet And calm sweeps through the land The

battle's been decided But who had the upper hand?

But look! Our hero rises from the smoke. Our

glory has been regained. The cheer goes up among

our army. But the other guy gets up again! Now

for truth, the battle's over, and evil's reign

is done. Our hero stands triumphant. No, no,

wait, I was wrong! He's up again! I feel reasonably

sure it's over this time. What do you guys think?

Oh, wait! He's up again! From the top of another

hill, a figure appears, a shaft of light shining

off his auburn hair. It was Carl, the red -headed

paladin from the land of Eternians. Carl, now

you're just getting ridiculous. Of course it

is. I just like it. And the whole episode was

like an homage to the Princess Brides, and you

can't... and Monty Python and everything. You

can't go wrong there. I guess. Yeah, I liked

it a lot. It's too bad under the giant didn't

just go all WWF on all those people. Because

he's better. Exactly. It would have been much

better. Probably would have been problems with

securing the rights from his estate. But yeah,

probably would have been worth trying. We. Was

he dead by the time the movie came out? No, yeah

Wait a minute, but he's in the movie. Oh Are

we talking about Princess Bride? Yeah, sorry.

Oh, no, he died shortly after the Princess Bride.

Okay, that's what I thought I'm like, how can

you die? That's the epic monster battle No, no,

what I was saying was it's a damn shame that

during the filming of Princess Bride that he

didn't go all WWF on everybody on the crew to

start body slamming people in that movie because

it would have made that movie so much better.

Honestly, at that point in his life, he was so

crippled he couldn't he could he couldn't lift

the girl off the ground. There's a scene where

he actually catches her and they had to like

suspend her so that he could like put his arms

under her to make it look like he caught her.

Right. He would have crumpled. Yeah, I do remember

that now. I'm so sorry for being so insensitive.

Number five for me. This is a cheat. I'm just

going to admit this is an absolute cheat, but

it always I should just say all of them from

season, all of the unique ones from season three.

But the Doofenshmirtz Evil Incorporated song.

Specifically because this is in season 3 and

this is not in anywhere else Doofenshmirtz's

vacation condo just that little jingle. I loved

I thought that was so I always love how they

change wherever he is And I was not expecting

doof to have a vacation condo. I mean Charlene

must be paying him a lot in alimony She funds

all of his evil ventures Yes, yes, she does.

What is your number four, sir? Number four is

with these blueprints from further up the blueprints.

Yes. Yes. Yes. Oh It's a it's it's an epic song.

Are they doing anything yet? No, but we did find

this blueprint Hey, I know what we're gonna do

today We're gonna watch golf on television. What?

Okay, we gotta jumpstart these guys. With these

blueprints, we can make a mighty tower. With

these blueprints, we can mold a chocolate ball.

With these blueprints, we can forge enormous

yo -yos. With these prints, we can build anything

at all. We've got blueprints. Glorious blueprints

They give us endless potentialities We could

build an Android port You'd buy bionic hearts

for Valentine's Or giant dogs with artificial

fleas Because we've got blueprints Glorious blueprints

They make the things we dream reality We can

build your powered water wings But catapult with

massive springs And practically anything you

see We've got one prince, two princes Nothing

we can do I mean, everybody sings, everybody

gets a turn, and it's presented almost like a

musical. It's not just your regular like, oh,

we got one person and they're singing about,

you know, something. It's like everybody. joins

in and they're in harmony and playing off each

other. And it's it's a really cool song. Yeah,

it is. I actually originally had it at number

eight and then I moved things around and it didn't

make my list. I do I do love the song. It didn't

make the list. What? Oh, my gosh. No, no, no.

All right. Number four for me. Run, Candice,

run. Well, I think I'll leave these adorable

little ragamuffins in your capable hands, Candice.

I'm afraid I have to be elsewhere. Me too. Run,

Candice, run Run, Candice, run Run, Candice,

run Run, Candice, run I like again you talk about

a unique sound a unique song to the thing and

I I will freely admit I have been very anti Candace

in season 3 because There were some of her plots

where it was just like this is Candace overload

Like I need some do for I need symphony isn't

firm. I need something other than teenage girl

issues Yeah But you know when she sings it's

nice like living with monkeys. Yeah, it's an

awesome song. Yeah But run Candice run. I love

the the the sped up part in the middle of it

I thought that was really really cool because

it shows as she's speeding up and the song speeds

up. I thought that was cool What is your number

three, sir? Evil for extra credit Look at me

now, I got a new vocation You heard it here first,

cause I'm the one who said it Yeah, I'm evil

He's evil I'm evil for extra credit Extra credit.

That's right, I'm evil for extra credit. Tell

him all about it, girls. He'll do anything for

the credit. You know I will. He's an evil jack

of all trades. I'd do it all. You a badass and

he's got it insane. I got a full deck, ladies.

Looks so good in leather and chains. You heard

it here first, cause I'm the one who said it.

Really? Yeah, Carl rocks out. Carl unveils his

evil side as well as his black leather jacket.

Yeah. I liked it. And again, you know, I I lean

toward that that, you know, rock heavy metal

side. Mm hmm. Oh, I'll lead towards that closer

to my number one because number three for me.

It's all about the norm rap with real boy. Like

I said earlier, I love the backup singers Yeah,

I love the fact that norm raps and just the way

that the voice actor does the rap I thought it

was really really cool. So I just dig real boy.

Yeah, it's a good one number two for you is what

sir Speaking of songs with backup singers. Mm

-hmm lies from let's bounce That's right, yep.

You see, Perry the Platypus? Lies are the glue

that holds society together. People lie about

their mileage. They lie about the weather. They

lie to spare each other's feelings. They lie

to stay in bed. They lie to feel important about

all the books that they've read. You look good

in that hat. I don't think you have too many

cats. Lies! Your hair looks nice when it's up

like that. Lies, lies, lies, lies! Oh dear, the

house looks great. Lies! You haven't put on any

weight. Lies! Oh, I thought you said eight. Lies,

lies, lies, lies! People say that it's alright.

They're only trying to be polite. But even though

they're little and white, they're lies! Do you

hear that high note? That was the A above middle

C. Not too shabby. Doof speaks truth to power.

He's like... Lies keep you together, kids. Let

me tell you how this works. You know, it's probably

not the best role model, you know, to be teaching

small children on the Disney Channel. But it's

it's a funny song. And, you know, I like it when

Doof sings. Yeah, my number two is because it

is the best moment they have so far to the point

in this series. I don't know what happens. I

don't remember what happens in season four with

songs for these two. But my number two is Frenemies.

Oh, really? Yeah. It's probably the single best

song that Buford and Baljeet do together out

of the entire series. Yeah. Well, yeah. And there's

a reason for that. It's because Buford should

sing. You leave his voice actor alone I don't

have to put up with this. I'm part of the greatest

generation. What are we going to do? Phineas

wants us to stall we got to think of something

Wait a minute. I got an idea Rain Boy! Ship!

Oh Nana, I'm sorry we ruined the festival. Ruined?

Ha! That was the best time we've had since they

cancelled Three Bean Salad Tuesdays. The floor

show was fantastic. Really? The ending was a

bit out there, but trust me, they had us at sock

puppets. Form a line, people! Form a line! Alright,

folks. Go ahead, go ahead. Number one! No, say

your spiel. It was just derogatory against Buford.

It's not that his voice actor can't sing. It's

just that Buford's voice is not the most musical.

There we go. That's a nice way to put it. But

when you combine it with Baljeet's, which is

even less musical unless he's angry and wants

to rock out. Yeah, Baljeet can sing though. Yeah,

but I gotta say I find Baljeet singing more annoying

than Buford sometimes Give me an a but I hear

that in my sleep. Yeah, give me a great is great

Yeah, that's that's great. That's great because

Baljeet is angry and he's not thinking about

it He's in the moment Baljeet is all look at

cranius maximus He nearly destroys the earth

because he wants to remove the atmosphere and

put it on the moon. I mean Baljeet's the evil

one here. It's not Dr. Doofenshmirtz. It's Baljeet.

He's clearly evil. Yeah. Exactly. He's clearly

evil. So anyway. Alright, rumble please. But

what is your number one song for Phineas and

Ferb season three? Let It Snow. From the Christmas

festival. What? Yeah. Isabella is a powerful

force and she sings Let It Snow. the music like

this little number let it And I love that song.

Yeah, this might be the only version of let us

know that I like because to me Let it snow comes

across a little rapey Wait a minute do we need

to now have the baby it's cold outside discussion.

Oh Okay, that's it. The baby is cold outside

is the rapey one. I'm sorry. Yeah, let us know

is not rapey at all It's a beautiful song. Isabella

delivers it powerfully. I had a manly tear coming

down my eye, down my cheek when I heard this.

The actual Christmas song where everybody sings

in the Christmas special is really nice, too.

Yeah. Yeah. My number one. Yes. The Way of the

Platypus. Oh, that's a good song. Yeah, you gotta

rock out with the way of the platypus. fan of

that episode in general? I mean, I liked it a

lot, but it wasn't like one of my top 10. Yeah,

no. I mean, the episode it comes from is not

the greatest, but that song is amazing. Yeah.

All right. We are going to take another quick

break. We're going to come back with something,

some sort of favorite moments from season three

or we'll talk favorite characters or something

after this. I could really emote Instead of shorting

out whenever he sits on the remote I want a dad

Someone I can call Pop Someone to take me out

for Maldives at the soda shop Someone to take

me on a fishing trip or teach me how to ride

a bike Who'll pat me on the head and ask me,

how ya doin' tyke? Oh I'm fine, all things considered

Wanna be a real boy, but I don't wanna sound

embittered But thanks for asking! Seriously!

are back, and Michael put together his least

favorite episodes list. I did not do this. I

said to you off air a couple weeks ago that I

think the negatives that we've pointed out in

the various episode reviews of each of these

cartoons, that that was more than enough to...

You know show the negatives and I really wanted

to be positive about this But since you went

ahead and made a least favorite episode list.

Oh crap What was that as I'm trying to put the

air fresh? But you went ahead and did make a

least favorite episode list, how many do you

have just a few you know, I just made like a

top five that I As I was going through the episodes.

I was like god. I really hated that one meatloaf

surprise written poorly by and for Jamie Oliver's

cameo that lasts way too long and a missed opportunity

that they didn't have a meatloaf cameo Paradise

by the dashboard lights would have been epic

in an episode called meatloaf surprise Yes, but

meatloaf surprise was more about you know tiny

cowboy than anything else I just didn't like

it. Ferb TV? Really? I liked Ferb TV. You know,

I liked some of the premises, but again, not

as good as Rick and Morty interdimensional television.

though it might seem unusual. That's the norm!

That's the norm! That's the norm! That's the

norm! That's the norm! That's the norm! That's

the norm! That's the norm! That's the norm! on

a never -ending say against the sinister evil

cheesy smelling and for some reason dressed like

a mouse professor nibbles cat car it's driving

away from us giving it a two okay you know what

you can't compare rick and morty to phineas and

ferb because they're two i mean you can it's

not um you know but it's unfair because Two very

different and weird... They're parodying TV commercials

and TV shows, especially like from the 80s, and

that's basically the bread and butter of interdimensional

television. Which they've done like three times

now. I guess. Giants? Yeah, I didn't like that

one either. I'm not an ant fan. The last time

I was an ant fan, it was Sylvester Stallone as

a giant in ants. In ants? Well, you know, the

song says ants, but it sounds like ass. Just

like this episode. I was looking online and somebody

had put the the ant song as one of their top

songs for the season. And I was like, I can't

agree with that. Yeah, it's like a. I'm like,

I that's exactly what this is. Uh -huh birthday

clipporama Give it a two because it's a clip

show didn't like it. Don't like clip shows and

Lastly the the bully bromance breakup Because

I'm still uncomfortable with the codependent

caustic relationship between Buford and Beljeet

Just don't like it. No likey All right, I really

surprised it made it on your top ten there were

I mean even even getting past The fact that there's

this horrible, you know codependent caustic relationship

it there were better episodes I guess I guess

we really like the song I guess yeah. Yeah, I

guess All right favorite characters from season

three I mean obviously we have the standards

for you know Perry Phineas Ferb can and for me

I wasn't really a fan of Candice this season

she had her moments and there were certain things

I liked but I Still love everything Phineas and

Ferb and doof and Perry are doing major monogram

had some stinkers there for a while But new characters,

you know, it's like Paul characters. Yeah Paul

Minor monogram. I forget his name now Seth Green

not a huge fan Okay, he came back. He had a second

episode and he grows on you the idea of him I

like I'm not sure It's just the voice actor.

You don't like well, it's the voice actor and

it's like what is with the the acrobat? It's

like I was I'm going to be a secret agent who's

also in a leotard. And I'm like, that's dumb.

Just don't like it. Who else was another character

that that. There was Guy Fieri as the pizza guy.

Guy Fieri was in there. Yeah. And Richard Kind

as the marketing exec. He would have been on

my favorites. Like that a lot Who else cameo

Like a meaningful cameo, I don't know But yeah,

I can't think of anyone who like was introduced

in season 3 Specifically well, I mean aside from

Paul, you know specifically for an episode right

there wasn't meant there wasn't much Albert and

Jerry Oh, damn it. What's his name? Irving and

Albert. There wasn't much of them this season.

Oh, well, yeah, that's more of a feature than

a bug. What? Irving? Irving's a character you

enjoy? Yeah, at times. Oh, I think he like, you

know... Breaks the show a little bit every time

he's on Maybe you know you and your you and your

potty humor that you love so much, you know That

you love that scene in what's a croc where you

know, he's like When the croc swallows his up

a feds and he's like, oh, I guess we'll just

have to wait 15 minutes and Candice looks at

him goes, oh What my brother will be here with

my backup, what'd you think I mean? That is disgusting

So Irving has his moments he does I suppose They

were they are few and far between I will admit

but he does have his moments not a huge fan,

but yes, okay Alright, I think we are going to

take one final break and then close this out

after this. Every Friday on the deep cast radio

network Alright folks we are back here on the

podcast organization without a cool acronym or

at the podcast or We're in on at we're we're

here and we are yeah, you're here. I'm here Yes,

just fine. Thank you. How are you? You made me

think of Tim Tim Conway's Guest appearance in

the very last episode of mad about you Whenever

mad about you ended and ended whatever but anyway

the very last episode of the very The first series

not the sequel Spectrum series they tried to

do the original mad about you series in the very

last episode Tim Conway plays the marriage licensor

because in the very last episode Paul and Jamie

find out that Lyle Lovett lied to them because

he was a criminal and he wasn't actually ordained.

So the entire show they haven't actually been

legally married and that causes a problem for

them. So they go to this DMV and this DMV Licensor

person is played by Tim Conway and one of the

things he does is hi. Hello. How are you? I'm

fine. Thank you Like he basically asks you how

you are and then before you even get to answer

how you are He says, you know, I'm fine. Thank

you. Well, you know, he says it all in one go

So when you said that just now I'm like you sure

we need to go halfway to the end of Long Island

to do this The smaller the town the shorter the

line next please see Hello. Hi. How are you?

Just fine. Thank you We'd like to get married.

Oh, wonderful. Come to the right spot. Yes, sir.

Hello. Hi. How are you? Hello. Is this the lucky

lady? This is her. Oh, wonderful, isn't it? OK,

well, looks like you're all set here. Oh, shades

of Tim Conway. Wow. I didn't think that was going

to be worked into this podcast. Tim Conway is

actually just a genius at comedic timing. Yes,

he was. It's sad he passed away. He's dead? Oh,

I've... Figured he'd be like old. No, like Madeline.

He died of no shortness. Sure. No, I don't know.

He died of what I had to be in the hospital for.

Wow. You almost went out like Tim Conway. Pretty

much. Yeah. Oh, that's something to say. You

know, at least you didn't go out like Elvis.

Yeah, he died two years ago May 14th 2019 which

really Which is really really bad because May

6th of 2019 is the day I went in for my surgery

for the exact Same thing what so for those that

are wondering Tim Conway really quick side note.

We do this all the time Illness and death on

September 27, 2018. Diagnosed with dementia,

normal pressure, hydrocephalus. That's what I

had was hydrocephalus, which is excess fluid

on the brain. The doctors told me that I was

two, he said I was about two inches away from

my brain. popping out of my head if I didn't

have surgery when I did. Very rough. On the bright

side, Tim Conway lived through a ripe old age

and had a lot of happy moments before he died.

Let's try to keep it that way. Absolutely. Uh,

so season four of Phineas and Ferb, it is coming

in episode 85. I don't know when episode 85 will

air because as of this episode, episode 84, we

have 20 days left of this podcast, which means

we have 20 episodes left of the podcast. And

I want us to bank up enough episodes to where

I can eventually release them on a daily basis.

So this will most likely be the final episode

of the podcast organization without a cool acronym.

until further notice. I'm thinking episode 85

will probably release in the middle of summer

somewhere because, hello, Phineas and Ferb and

summer vacation and Swinter and Wummer and...

They did a thing this season in season three,

S 'Fall. S 'Fall? Yeah, S 'Fall kind of fell

by the wayside. I'm like, that doesn't work,

guys. I mean, this isn't Hockey Z9. Anyway. but

episodes that we will start with in episode 85

and 86 we have a four for in episode 85 fly on

the wall my sweet ride for your ice only and

happy new year episode 86 is bully busting backyard

hodgepodge seeing a lot of double episodes in

here yes you are because that's the only way

I could get it to 104 days so just go with it

That's why we're pre -recording these things.

Oh, it is 104 days. How fantastic. Exactly. That's

the whole point. I guess. That's why we have

to do double episodes. Unless you want it to

be 105 days and then it would be really odd to

be 105 days. Oh no, you got Star Wars in there.

Yeah, I got everything in here. Did you get the

Marvel in there? Yep, Marvel's in there. And

the Candice movie? Yeah. Uh, that's going to

be kind of hard to do, but yeah. So episode 104

is Candice against the world or Candice against

the universe plus our final countdowns for episodes

and songs. So that's going to be episode 104

is going to be long. Uh, yeah. Got Star Wars.

So we're doing the Candice movie and the wrap

up on 104. So we'll have to do a two recording

night from 104 at some point. You know once we

get there. Yeah, it's gonna be a big episode

Well, I mean unless unless you do a double episode

somewhere like around 88 or 89 I've moved these

things around like 20 million different times

sir Trust me. This is the only way to do it.

It's the only way it's the only way that we can

do it in a Fashion where I won't drive myself

crazy with the editing I'd rather edit a four

hour show at once instead of seven, uh, three

and a half hour shows. Not that any of those

show any of our shows have gotten to three and

a half hours yet recently. And that wasn't, uh,

that wasn't too fun. I still have to edit that

one. So yeah, lots of cool stuff. Lots of stuff

that you have not seen in season four. Cause

you had not seen season four. One of my favorite

two parters and one of the episodes I've been

referencing a lot in the season three reviews

that we've been doing is episode 88 B day and

B story. This is the fireside girls and all that

and I Think professor poof and plots is in there.

Very very cool sidetracked I think is a double

episode and I think it's the one where and We'll

find all my track go along. Oh, yeah side sidetracked

is the American Canadian episode where they come

into contact with Calca, the Canadian organization

without a cool acronym. It's all Mooses. Exactly.

Yeah. You have Alca. You have Alca, Calca, and

Pauca. So there you go. That's kind of where

the whole name for the show came up. Sadly, no

Mooses in Pauca. No, I think the plural is just

Moose, not Mooses. But I don't know. I don't

know. Thank you for joining us here on Palka.

There are ways to get contact with us. We'll

leave feedback for the show. Visit the website,

geekcastradio .com. As I said earlier, please

give us your personal top 10 lists in the comments

on the website. We love it when people do that.

I hear what songs other people like. Or episodes.

Or both. Or both. All that. Let me know. Exactly.

Let us know. You. I'm not gonna read it. I'm

gonna knock you out It ain't mama said it's Mike

said I'm gonna knock you out feedback in iTunes.

Please do this. Do this. Leave us a review. I

will check for next time. I had not checked this

time, but I will check for when we start season

four to see if we have any new iTunes reviews.

I might actually even promote it on iTunes for

people to go leave us reviews if you people are

even listening to us. I don't know who listens

to this show. I don't know. I don't listen to

it. I don't. Well, I guess Joe, of course, Joe

Joe is going to write stuff that I'm not going

to read. Oh, stop it. You'll read it when I send

it to you. Yeah, most likely. You'll read it
