90’s Villains Tournament – Round 2

beasts do more than get you from A to B. They

to JCRN Wars 90's Villains Tournament. I'm your

host, Steve Megatron Phillips, and joining me

in this episode is movie revolt Dan. Hey, how's

it going? Pretty good. And so, yeah, the, uh...

Contestants got whittled down in this this last

tournament. This one had a little bit more voters

on it, which was nice Yeah, I mean a lot of heavy

hitters this round were the last round Or the

second round of second portion of round one.

So especially I think a little bit more Debate

regarding some of the bigger mantras, although

looking at the vote it seems like It was a lot

of runaways. I was surprised someone who's one

a little closer There were a few that were closer

than I thought they were going to be and then

a few that were clear blowouts. Yeah. So yeah,

running down the round two, or not round two,

round one part two, we have Koopa against King

K. Rool and Koopa took it away at 85%. Not really

surprised. No, no, I mean I think that goes in

a much more popular of a character from a more

popular franchise so that that makes sense and

Then the the second battle was between ink and

Shadowmaster which was a little bit closer at

61 % But ink took it away. I Did not expect Shadowmaster

they get that much love honest. I didn't either

but it was kind of surprising you should have

to play but that's Yeah, it was kind of surprising

this round how many People actually recognize

the characters this time I Think it helps with

that a lot of them like were are kind of characters

in their own right or at least tied to some major

franchises whether it be a video game or You

know 80s cartoons as well. Yeah, I think that

definitely helped And then the third battle we

have is between Dr. Wily and Dr. Doom and Dr.

Doom pretty much ran away with it at 94 % blowing

out Wily. I think there are a few Mega Man fans

that threw their votes, but other than that Doom

kind of kicked butt there. I kind of figured

he was going to take it away though. Yeah. So

yeah, Wily got literally one vote. Which is the

only reason he got there so the the next matchup

was between GI Joe extremes iron claw and the

deep GI Joe of Cobra commander and Cobra commander

took it away Yeah, I think again I think more

people are far more aware of Cobra commander

even from even if they want didn't watch the

deep series just the character in general, so

Well, and he's more awesome than Iron Claw. True,

true. And you have Chris Latta. So. Yeah, he

took it away at 89 percent. This one for a minute

there was neck and neck. This next one. And it

was between Green Goblin and the Joker. The Joker

took it away at 71 percent. Interesting. I was

wondering how that would go. I'm not too surprised.

I thought. Personally, I think I would still

go Green Goblin, but I you know Jokers not one

them. I mean when you go in toe -to -toe with

Batman as much as you do I get why people were

like well that guy can walk away from Batman

so he can probably watch what pretty much take

anyone else so I get that but Yeah, I'm sure

Joker's gonna be a wild card in this franchise

in this so I think he I think he is not done

anytime soon No, it'll be surprising to see what

happens next considering the next battle, which

was between Captain Pollution and BadRap, which

was really close, honestly. The Pollution got

59%, three more votes than BadRap. I was a little

surprised at it. Yeah. You know what? It's because

BadRap is a killer grill. I think that helped

his chances. Then we have for the next battle

Lex Luthor against David Xanatos, which I kind

of figured Luther was gonna take it away. He

took it at 83 % Yikes, yeah, that's no surprise

there And then going into This one was either

way. It was gonna be the same The next one it

was gonna be Megatron or Megatron and it's it's

just which evolution version the one that's you

know 10 and beast machines or Beast Wars and

They're the same character, but the Beast Wars

edition was definitely a More remarkable character

over as a whole Yeah, I think it probably came

down to what show do you like more and I think

more people probably prefer Beast Wars over Beast

Machines, so I think that certainly helped his

cause. Yeah, I definitely think that's what helped

it, aside from the fact that Beast Machines did

have better animation aesthetics in some regard,

but it had Megatron physically taking out Cybertron,

but he actually did something in Beast Wars,

so I can see why people voted for him in that

version. The next battle was between Megabyte

and Cell. And sell took it away at 78 % Yeah

sells gonna be I mean any Dragon Ball Z character

like just their their powers that is so Expansive,

you know and their multiple forms. So it's He

was one of the last Dragon Ball Z kid like villains,

right? That like didn't before the franchise

like kind of went a different route Yeah, they

they had Frieza who was the main heavy hitter,

which had I thought about that I would have included

freeze as well, but Then they had Cell and then

they had Majin Buu. Oh yeah, I can remember.

I always forget which order they... I knew Frieza

came and then it was Majin Buu and Cell and the

androids. Where Cell places in that lineage,

like if he's before or after, all that. Yeah,

but Cell I would argue is just cooler looking

and harder to destroy. than the other ones. And

then getting to the final battle where you have

two guys with red eyes, black eyeballs with the

red iris and the red hair. And one has a mustache,

the other one has crazy eyebrows. They would

make it like a good 1980s WWE tag team. They

would. Dr. Praetorius and Dr. Robotnik. Robotnik.

Surprisingly took it away with with two extra

votes and I think it's a lot Because of the video

games Oh For certain because even put even the

video games I feel like he was kind of a Like

I put like a pretty pathetic villain like he

was a tool. Yeah, so I I don't think he has much

of a chance going against any no matter anyone

else in this in this tournament, so Yeah, the

Cinderella story will end shortly. Yeah, I definitely

see that coming so without further ado We can

get into the the actual breakdown now for the

round two battle of the bracket Which I'm pretty

excited about Definitely so yeah, it's it's gonna

be interesting to see who takes away this round

So we have for the for the first battle of round

two Professor Moriarty against the Mandarin Wow,

that's probably the first time in the history

that they These two characters have ever kind

of come face to face with one another your brains

and brawn in a sense Yeah, you know, I think

Mori is certainly probably more higher intelligent

look Tell them so well, but Mandarin, you know,

he he himself is well knowledgeable Highly knowledgeable.

It's first specifically with mystical arts and

things of that nature and he has his power ring

So I I just you know, I think the fact that James

Moriarty is has none of that Well, I know this

is like a banned version of him, but still I

I would have to lean heavily towards the Mandarin

Yeah, I'm I'm thinking that it's gonna be Mandarin

as well. I just I can't see how Moriarty is gonna

take it away in this one when you have the the

power rings, which is almost like infinity gauntlet

level power and you have this this Cree alien

type person that you know goes toe -to -toe with

Iron Man who's very brilliant as well. So yeah

I don't think the 19th century brawn and alien

or brains of a 19th century person and an alien

are going to compete much. No, I mean, I think

James Morady is a much better character. But

if you're talking about, you know, a knuckle

drag out brawl, I'm going to go with the Mandarin.

Going to round two of... or the second battle

of round two, we have Dark Phoenix against the

High Evolutionary. Yeah, yeah. I think we talked

about in the first round Dark Phoenix is a heavy

favorite to go very far, and I don't see, you

know, High Evolutionary, he has all his crazy

creatures and things like that, but, you know,

he doesn't have the mind tricks that you could

possibly pull on the Phoenix. Nowhere near a

power level, so I think this is a pretty easy

decision to make. Yeah, I kind of agree with

you on this as well. I'm pretty sure Dark Phoenix

is going to mop the floor with him because he's

basically a mutant. And she's mopped the floor

with quite a few mutants in X -Men. So I don't

think that he's going to be much of a contender

in this. No, I highly agree A Napa guy knows

more isn't always better unless we're talking

That's Napa know -how. Napa know -how! Going

to the next battle, we have Negaduck against

Dirt Cat. This one, I'm interested to hear what,

because I feel like you are much more... First

into our cats than I am so Who are you leaning

towards in this matchup? I'm leaning towards

negative not negative dirt cat because not only

does he have his his Criminal underworld that

he controls and in kind of the mobster scenario,

but he also will do his own dirty work. He's

he's very intelligent He's not above using some

very high caliber I would compare him almost

to like a Vandal Savage of DC to to SWAT cats

and that he creates an essence his own league

of Guys to go against Negaduck who's also a part

of his own version of a league so I don't see

Negaduck holding up that well to Dark Cat Dark

Hitch is more menacing and he has these two henchmen

that are basically Ultron type robots that he

could have go after him and yeah, Nega Duck is

is like reverse Darkwing and They're both a little

bit bumbling at times Makes sense. I I think

you make a lot of good points and I think you

know Nega Duck is He's a funny character. But

yeah, like if he's going against Like basically

a gigantic mob boss in a way with with that looks

like Like a tiger on steroids. I'm gonna go with

I'm gonna go with Your assessment as well so

Going to the second to the last battle on this

side of the bracket we have skull master against

Jafar Which will prove to be interesting when

it gets voted out Yeah, that's tough. I mean,

Skull Master is hugely powerful. I would, you

know, Jafar's biggest benefit is going against

people that he can kind of outsmart and don't

necessarily have, you know, the same type of

power level he does. I mean, if he gets his genie

form from like, you know, the second film, maybe

he has a chance, but just a general sorcerer.

Don't think he's in the same league as someone

like skullmaster. Yeah, I kind of agree with

that assessment I don't think that Jafar while

I like the character. I don't think he can hold

a candle to skullmaster especially when Kind

of in prep for some of this I was I was going

back and rewatching mighty max because of this

tournament and skullmaster Manages to like almost

completely outsmart everyone and he can open

up portals wherever, and he uses the Soul Stone

as a power source, and he can have the ability

to, if he possesses that and Mighty Max's cap,

he can alter history. But he also has the power

to summon, in a sense, like almost, like how

Power Rangers villains can summon villains except

his are like, really Almost like Greek God level

type of creatures so it's I Think skull master

is gonna mop the floor with them But I'm sure

it'll be kind of neck -and -neck as far as like

a popularity contest and yeah and functionality,

but I think skull master should take this I mean

too far. Just have a talking parrot. So That's

something to keep in contact with but yeah I

think that's a good point. I myself need to go

back and watch my next. I watched that a good

deal as a kid, but I've not watched it in decades.

Yeah, I watched the finale on YouTube last week,

and I was like, how did this show end again?

I was so confused in it. It's kind of a... I

won't spoil it, but it's kind of an interesting

way that they... Ended it in a sense So the final

bracket on this side of the of the or the final

battle of this side of the bracket is bloth and

apocalypse and Yeah, the power of dark magic

and dark water and and a pirate isn't really

gonna hold candle to an immortal mutant, but

I see people's opinions of how it could I Me

too. Yeah, I mean When you have, I think, Apocalypse

who kind of doesn't have to breathe or like he's,

I don't know, like he's been in space before,

it's hard. His character, his power set is so

undetermined, it's frustrating. But yeah, like

grow himself into a giant, he has morphing capabilities,

he has some ability to use telekinesis in some

ways, and he's got celestial armor, so. Yeah,

I mean, I think he's again a big favorite to

go much further Yeah, and it's it's gonna be

interesting to see how much further on this side

of the bracket who are two characters that you

believe are going to make it to the the semi

-finals Well, I think Hmm that's a good question

or or the three that you think will make it because

there's there's a spot for three and there's

a reason why there's three in the semi -final

stage I Think you know, like we mentioned Dark

Phoenix and apocalypse certainly are gonna be

two ones that are challenging to Take down the

third one's where I where I struggle Part of

me is thinking Jafar has it could be a dark horse

because Aladdin such a popular film. So I think

he can get a lot of love there But also the Mandarin,

I mean, like he, you know, magic kind of gives

you a lot of opportunities to, you know, two

things and things like that. So, you know, I

think he's he has he might be someone to look

out for, too. So I'm personally thinking that

it's going to be Apocalypse Dark Phoenix. Just

based on their their placement in the bracket,

it's going to be kind of hard to. It's gonna

be hard to not have it turn out that way And

I'm throwing it it could either be Mandarin or

it could be skull master But yeah, I think I'm

on the same general thought process that it's

gonna be some of the same characters though Makes

sense So yeah, we're gonna go over to the other

side of the bracket, which I've been itching

to see how this was gonna turn out. And I will

preface this with saying, had I planned out the

graphical locations better, I would have had

a different arrangement. And when I say that,

I mean the last two battles on the, on this side

of the bracket. of the 17, 18, 19, 20. For the

round two, I should have flip -flopped two of

those battles so they would have ended up on

the other bracket because now we have human against

robot, human against robot. But that's neither

here nor there. Yeah, too late. I could go back

and change it and just say editors choice, but

that would kind of be a crapshoot just to rig

it So you know the NHL doesn't do re receding

after every round, you know, yeah Yeah, that

would be a mighty convenient receding. Yeah So,

yeah, we have King Koopa against ink and I Yeah

Going with ink. There's there's really no contest

here. She's an actual femme fatale villain and

the power of clay face and you you have a walking

lizard turtle dinosaur See like I I'm most I

think King Koopa has some powers that might benefit

him I think I can't remember but I felt like

fire had an impact against ink and I feel like

it would it was water in in And ice, but I'm

not entirely sure on fire. I don't know if they

actually use that I feel like it I feel like

it might um Like also like I Having that shell

and being like like such a thick and powerful

creature. I don't know how much Damage ink could

do like if she would be able to really hurt king

koopa so i actually i i'll go the other one i

i think king koopa has a with his fire breath

has i know he's kind of a goofy character but

you know uh push comes to shove i think he might

be able to actually pull the upset so i think

you've actually swayed me in that direction because

i wasn't thinking about that aspect of it before

that he's almost like impenetrable and and the

fact that he can breathe fire he could technically

Light her on fire incinerating her. Yeah I don't

know like that's one thing is I can't remember

if that I think there was ever demonstrated if

that was a weakness so that could do nothing

but I would I would think you know uh it would

have considering the impact water and ice does

it it would mess with her molecules in a way

the other thing is she's basically immortal though

so it's like how did how does King Koopa take

her out and you know that's Good question because

I don't think there there is a way really. I

think she can just keep Well, eventually in the

series looking back into her original form well,

she did get damaged by the the ice ray and It

messed up her molecules and she had to absorb

more of that chemical that allows her to do this

to keep her form So maybe fire would have some

more. Yeah All right make sense. So the the next

one is Dr. Doom against Cobra Commander. I'm

excited about this one. Yeah, I know you're a

huge G .I. Joe fan, I think probably more G .I.

Joe, Cobra Commander fan compared to Marvel.

So does that make you want to sway towards Cobra

Commander in this? I want to vote Cobra Commander.

It's a very biased vote. But yeah, I don't know.

I'm kind of torn on that because Dr. Doom is

brilliant. He's taken on a lot of the Marvel

universe on his own. And Cobra Commander has

repeated setbacks that... Don't always work out

for him, and then he's got the treachery of his

own Yeah amongst him, so I I don't know it's

I Want to vote Cobra commander just because I

like the character better his armor looks better

He doesn't look like you know a dude wearing

on you know a shop class looking face mask and

in a hood and Because dr. Doom almost looks like

something left over from the druids or something.

And Cobra Commander, had I used his face mask,

he would have looked like something else from

the 1800s. But I chose the battle armor because

I like that more. But I don't know, I think,

you know, Cobra Commander's dealt with some kind

of weird stuff too, you know, between the Cobra

Law and in the comics, he's dealt with transformers

as well and in some regards he dealt with the

transformers too in the animated series, but

I Don't know it's it's kind of kind of difficult

I'm gonna go cover commander just because I prefer

the character more so I'm gonna go doom just

cuz cover commander can be kind of bad kind of

bumbling and doom is you know all hail doom like

He's got mystical abilities. He's you know, he

has shown the ability to travel through time.

He, again, has his kind of the mechanical abilities

near to that of a Tony Stark, along with the

kind of sheer genius of Reed Richards, in a way.

He also is just, he's a man with a plan, and

he's always one step ahead, where I feel like,

you know, Cobra Commander is almost like a You

kind of ad libs or doesn't think things through

nearly as much as someone like doom does so But

you know, like you said commando does have his

gigantic army of Cobra behind him. So who I think

I Don't do much people tend to love him, too

but you know you Would they fight for him? I

I think That's where you might Cobra Commander

could exploit a weakness because unlike, you

know, the Marvel characters are more they're

not going to go after the people of that area,

but someone like Cobra Commander could, which

would be like a tactic he's not really prepared

for. So that might might be an opening. But overall,

I think Mono E Mono Doom is would take out Commander.

But I think that's going to your the GI Joe fans

come out and support. Cobra commander and the

comic fans might have do might be interested

to see that back and forth as well Yeah, we'll

we'll have to wait and see I guess Should be

kind of interesting So, yeah next up on the matchup

we have the Joker against Captain pollution I'm

going Joker but that's just because he deals

in a lot of this stuff a lot of the pollution

a lot of chemicals a lot of Plus, he's crazy.

I know Captain Pollution's supposed to have powers

and be crazy too, but I just feel like Joker

would know how to reverse -engineer enough to

dismember Captain Pollution back to his rings,

because he's also devious and has the ability

to outthink. Because, I mean, if you look even

in... Not even counting Batman Beyond, although

he did figure out how to cheat death by putting

himself on a microchip and planning himself on

Robin so he could come back 30 years later to

mess with Bruce Wayne, but he also was the only

one smart in the Legion of Doom and Justice League

Unlimited where they captured Batman and they

were... Holding him in this the cell and he's

like you need to kill him They're like don't

hold him. He will get out and they're like and

he's like don't say I didn't warn you, you know

Like he's he's crazy, but he can channel it so

I feel like he could turn it off long enough

to Take out Captain pollution Yeah, I don't I

don't see how like when you have a character

that was Created through toxin would be able

to be hurt by it. I guess to a certain level

but yeah, I Don't know I guess maybe that like

the power Captain pollution cuz I think he can

fly and has some sort of enhanced strength, but

You know Joker I think Joker is crazy enough

to figure out a way to kind of get get Adam and

I don't think he's a character with Captain pollution.

It was specifically designed to go after one

type of individual where that individual is not

the Joker. So I don't think he'd be nearly as

prepared to take on a character like him. So.

Plus, I mean, come on, I want to see the Joker

go on. I don't want to see Captain Pollution

in the semifinals. Let's be serious here. Yeah,

I agree. I don't want to see Captain Pollution

there either. I'd love nothing more than to see

the Joker end up. the semifinals if not the finals

Which I was debating whether I was gonna do this

and it before the the tournament came out Because

I went with a higher villain count than we did

in the 80s tournament On purpose the next round

the quarter finals will actually start the unbalancing

and what I mean by that is It's gonna be a free

-for -all between multiple characters. Not just

a one -on -one battle. The Napa guy knows not

to judge a man by his car's multicolor paint

job or absence of modern gadgetry. Who cares

if it's technically old enough to vote and the

windows are powered by the strength of your left

arm? Your monthly payment is zero, and it'll

stay that way. Because with over 500 ,000 parts

and a little Napa know -how, you can keep anything

on the road. She may not be pretty, but she's

all yours. That's Napa know -how. So it'll be

interesting to see how that plays out because

there's gonna be five Fighting in the next round

and there was only two other two options I could

have two on two and then have one automatically

go to the semi -finals I Think I think I think

multiple would be a little bit more fun. That's

what I thought I thought it would be something

to change it up And then the the semi -finals

will be you know three combating because only

Because I'm still having it break down in a sense

that one will move on More easily and then they'll

still be it'll be basically like the top three

make it in to the semi -finals and then there'll

be a team versus battle so there will be two

survivors of the semi -finals on either side

and then you'll have a an Interesting team up

I hope So We'll see how that goes after this

this next week of voting so Who ends up in that

pile and who can work together I think that's

where you can kind of get some you make people

look at a little bit an upset, you know Where

you can have the two big two insane powerful

characters kind of kind of destroy one another

and then you know the The smaller more weaker

Under dog just you know, kind of off to the dust

settles walks away It's you know, there's a lot

of a lot of different scenarios that gives you

so if be interested to see how that changes and

maybe that could lead to someone Unexpected making

it to the finals compared to like what you would

typically get what's just the one -on -one battles?

That's and that's kind of why I was wanting to

do it is because I thought it would just be interesting

and fun to do So Back to the voting round. We

have two battles left on this side of the bracket

before we go into the Into the the quarter Final

battle and that will be between Lex Luthor and

Beast Wars Megatron This one I like a lot I think

this is this is a lot of fun. This one scares

me I know you're looking for Megatron. Maybe

obviously greater than that of Cobra Commander

He is a gigantic robot against just a normal

every or not every day But just like Luther so

is that Kind of leaning you to take on to take

on Megatron as the person who would walk away

in this battle It's kind of difficult. There's

a lot of a lot of Variables That could sway the

battle either way Like you have for instance

the Beast Wars characters aren't that much bigger

than proto humans which They they show the size

comparison in Beast Wars and The humans go up

to basically Megatron's waist in this and that

was it for a kid So I feel like Luthor would

be maybe a head or two shorter than Megatron,

at least in this form. So I don't think there'd

be much of a size differentiating there, but

I do see the fact that they're both brilliant,

they're both egotistical, they both play to other

people's emotions, and they're both cunning.

So I mean you have that kind of going The only

thing that could possibly throw it is because

of the fact that Lex Luthor Kind of survives

everything You just find a way because he's had

brainiac he's had Darkside which he did die in

that battle, but He did the brainiac thing he

did Go toe -to -toe with Superman But I don't

feel like that the The kryptonite would do any

good in this scenario that powers his suit like

yes It would give him enough power to do like

rock them sock them robots between the two of

them Yeah, but Megatron could also just pop him

in his head and take him out I know it's a low

blow, but I think I think definitely for a first

time encounter like, you know, he's just running

into Megatron. It's Something you know the robots

he's dealing with even with Brainiac. He's not

really dealing with someone kind of like Megatron

who has You know, it's beyond the artificial

intelligence on the you know Brainiac of course

is Has that but there's He doesn't have the kind

of the viciousness of a Megatron behind him So

I think that I don't think Lex Luthor would be

prepared now if he had obviously the it's like

another rule for Batman It's like how much prep

time does it get and I think Luther is similar

to that where he would probably be able to construct

something to Kind of find the weakness within

Megatron in his suit like if he knows about the

spark and or you know targeting that I think

would Something you'd be able to do but if you're

just dropping them in a neutral location for

the first time I think he you would he would

he would kind of be unmatched one -on -one but

you know Megatron does time tend to overestimate

things and He tends to be his own worst enemy

so that could where with Lex Luthor He tends

to end up losing because Superman's got like

every power ever created so that that He could

lead to try to have Megatron kind of lead to

his own demise, but I don't know I think I agree

I think I would probably lean towards Megatron

in this but and I don't know who would win this

one I think is probably gonna be one of the closest

ones because you have so many Transformers fans,

but you also have Lex Luthor often Written and

listed as one of the best comic book films ever.

So I think this one's gonna be really close see

for for me like obviously I'm biased but And

I make no qualms to hide that. With being able

to do the voice and following this character

since I was a kid, it's not hard for me to decide

which one. But, you know, the other thing about

Megatron though is he also, he may underestimate

things at times, but he also pretty much knew

that Starscream was going to betray him in a

sense. Which is why he gave him the crapshoot

mission when Starscream came to Beast Wars Even

though he didn't count on him actually going

to the Predacon base to attack it, but he knew

that he couldn't trust him and He also worked

with the He got ravaged to release him he managed

to take rampage and control his spark Who's indestructible

so Megatron could have easily also sent that

but the other thing that kind of cripples Megatron

is he kind of leans on for some reason he loves

Dinobot because he keeps resurrecting him and

various clones in the series and they all betray

him and it seems like whenever he relies on his

henchmen His plans fail, but if he's the one

that's running the machinations and he's the

one that's actually entering into the fray and

doing it himself, he succeeds in what he's set

out to do. I could see it going either way, but

again, it would depend on, like you said, the

prep time of Luthor being able to at least analyze

something to... At least somewhat damage him

Yeah, but I mean, yeah, you gotta you gotta consider

the fact Lexus are just a normal dude, you know

He's a guy with no powers that's going against

Superman and even when he's faced like, you know

something like Superman Red Sun where you have

a Soviet Superman he's been able to Kind of find

ways but Megatron doesn't have that like key

kryptonite weakness per se so that's where It

becomes challenging, but I think I think this

last battle may not be as heavily debated as

some of the ones we've had today Yeah, I mean

it's it's I think it's gonna be a pretty close

shot here, but It out of any of them on this

side of the bracket anyway, I think it's gonna

be one of the closest shots Aside from Cobra

We'll see how much nostalgia and franchises come

into play and the actual how they would be attacking

each other. So the final battle of the night,

we get Cell against Dr. Robotnik. This is kind

of a toss out. Yeah, like I said, this one's

pretty... pretty obvious. Obviously it's Dr.

Robotnik now, of course. It's, you know, Cell

is just, you have Goku against a guy who can't

stop a rodent from basically destroying himself,

so I think it's pretty easy to determine who

would take this out, so. Yeah, and I'm obviously

going with Cell just because I like the character

more than Robotnik and... the fact that a bunch

of furry creatures were able to defeat Robotnik

and He's just an ordinary dude with with mechanical

capabilities and cell just can't plain die and

absorbs the Z fighters to learn their powers

Yeah, it is just gonna kill a mustache. But still

I don't know if I can go with them. So who do

you think you know? Looking at December bracket

same question. You asked me who would you pick

for the semi -finals based upon who's left of?

Side to I'm gonna go sell because obviously he's

he's a very strong contender With all of his

his Dragon Ball Z powers and his healing capability

and The fact that if you don't eradicate even

him down to the very last cell he can come back

So that's definitely gonna be one of them I'm

gonna vote the Joker because I think he's crazy

and Sometimes crazy works and he can figure things

out even if he's not Going to win or if he knows

how to play to people's Emotions and do this

like mental reverse psychology thing to kind

of screw with them enough so that he can destabilize

them to kind of push them in the direction he

wants. Or at least distract them enough that

he could possibly take them out. And then I'm

going to go with Megatron. Because it would be

awesome to have two robots fighting as a team

in the versus battles in the end. Yeah, I think

I agree with you on Cell. I think he's going

to be hard one to take out. But I think I would

also say Dr. Doom, because You know never cannot

doom and For the thirst, I think megatron too.

I think megatron is gonna if he can get past

lux luther. I think that's gonna Be a good sign

for him for the semi -finals, but i'm going doom

doom megatron and uh in cell but you know ink

I think might not like ink. I think it's like

by a lot of people and again, she's got She's

like her power set is really hard for unless

you have someone like a king couple like I did

you might Be difficult for someone to find a

weakness. So she she may make You know make you

pretty far as well But I think this side is a

little bit harder harder to determine but you

never know because I think The power sets are

a little bit different, but there's also some

really really popular characters. So you're not

sure how that will impact it like There's a good

chance Cobra Commander could be Dr. Doom even

though I wouldn't agree with it, but that's still

a strong possibility So we'll have to see next

week how all this plays out Yeah, I'm definitely

looking forward to seeing how this this particular

round Takes place because that's going to determine

the entire Rest of how things play out On both

sides of the bracket and I honestly I mean, you

could end up with contenders of Apocalypse and

The Mandarin or something in the championship

level in team battles or something and having

Cell or Megatron with Doctor Doom or something.

It would be a bit insane, honestly. So yeah,

get some feedback on this side of the bracket,

which I'll read really quickly. Kind of surprised

that we didn't get a little bit more feedback,

but I'm always grateful for what we do happen

to get. So we had Walking Dread. I had closed

the poll unfortunately early and then I reopened

it because I Didn't think that even voting today

was gonna really count for all that much other

than just adding a vote to Everyone because there

was enough stacking that unless we had like five

or six people voting. It probably wasn't going

to change. Yeah but I reactivated and then deactivated

it like shortly before the show and then Haley

Bailey says, this has been fun. Green Goblin

is her choice against the Joker because Goblin

is faster, stronger, and probably smarter than

the Joker because Green Goblin is a genius who

went insane whereas Joker just is insane. He

also has the equipment and could just carpet

bomb the entire area that Joker is in. Obviously,

that didn't play out that way. Epicurious says

well, it's not like Joker hasn't faced a guy

with a flying machine and crazy equipment before

and walked away. Okay? And then Green Goblin

is used to being the craziest guy in the room

The Joker's craziness will throw him off leading

to Joker just taking advantage via pencil to

the eye And then Brian Jackson says a lot of

great matchups this round hardest one is Joker

vs. Goblin I went goblin because he's got the

crazy tech and superhuman strength. He won't

be intimidated by Joker's craziness craziness

at all heck he maybe will top it and Well Joker

took him Interesting so sometimes the comments

are not so it'd be interesting if you're someone

who voted for Joker to be me Defend your guy

because it seems like the comments are leaning

in another direction Yeah, and that was kind

of interesting because five of the votes were

for goblin and 12 were for the Joker So I was

kind of surprised at the fact that there was

no Joker love in the comments down there. I mean

there was by Epicurious but uh, yeah, I mean

obviously myself I voted Joker but that's because

I Just I prefer the character and I think he

would take them. So yeah So yeah that about rounds

this one out so looking forward to seeing what

everyone comments and votes on this next round

and Yeah, it's it's gonna be getting more interesting

as we get closer to the end of this and ride

right up until the top 100 For sure, so great.
