All Things Transformers
Unicron, Toys R Us, and Jeopardy Transformers Trivia

About this Episode
This is Optimus Prime, and you're listening to
All Things Transformers. Hello and welcome to
All Things Transformers, I'm your host Steve
Megatron Phillips, and joining me this week is...
TFG1 Mike, I'm back! Quake in your boots. Oh,
they'll be quaking in their boots at the end
of the show. I'm going to save that for the end,
cause... damn internet so there's there's been
a little bit of news since the last episode I
know it's been about a month since we've had
an episode of this show yeah I've been trying
to get Beatles Diva on for her origins but between
my schedule and her schedule we just haven't
had time to sit down and record it yet And honestly,
I didn't really think there was anything relevant
news wise to even converse about because I looked
over everything last week and it really hasn't
Changed all that much since wonder con it kind
of has my toy fair was the last time there was
something significant Yeah, yeah toy fair is
gonna pretty much suffer now that Tom Jeffrey
went bankrupt Yep, Toys R Us. Bye -bye Toys R
Us. We can talk about that then because they're
gonna begin their their liquidation sales This
week like the Toys R Us local to me is already
at 30 % off. Oh wow and It's been around there
for a long time since what was that other toy
store that used to be around before Toys R Us?
Child World. Yeah that that was around Actually
before we even got a Toys R Us in my area that
was either next door or the same exact building
Mm -hmm. We had that and then we got Toys R Us
and then we had KB Toys Which of course closed
in 2009, but funny enough They're coming back
while Toys R Us is going away and KB Toys is
like Sprinkling the news in there on like LinkedIn
and places and they're like, hey, we're coming
back Yeah, and they're like let everybody know
we're gonna, you know, basically sell all the
Toys R Us all their projected Toys for the season
and they're like some of the places they're gonna
be renting are gonna be old KB Toy locations
and Some of the places they'll probably have
are Toys R Us but it'll be it'll be kind of weird
to see KB Toys around Because I saw them as like
the younger brother to Toys R Us even though
KB Toys was around first Yeah, and then they
left first and now they're like, yeah, we're
coming back. So I wonder if Toys R Us will eventually
come back It might but I mean look at you know
McDonald's went bankrupt a few times, you know,
and McDonald's is still around You know Toys
R Us is effectively closing everything I know
they are and which is insane just like KB Toys
did but KB Toys has more or less said that They've
come to this point where they've kind of figured
out, they've looked back at their many years
and their planning and have kind of figured out
where they went wrong. They've come up with a
new business plan that would allow them to follow
a strict formula to bring back the experiences
we loved as a child, just as we've remembered
them with being competitive with brick and mortar
and online. Which I think has been kind of because
like if you looked at Toys R Us like their website
and this goes for a lot of retailers Either they're
really strong in their brick and mortar or they're
really strong online But they're not usually
on both right like if they're good in the store
their site is terrible yeah, and in vice versa
like Walmart I While I give them some kudos they
their website is is terrible because it sells
content from other retailers and most of the
stuff that's on there isn't even stuff carried
in their store. I hate that. I hate that about
Walmart .com. And then you look at Meyer, their
site, you can't even find anything that's in
the store because their site barely works and
it's basically just a glorified ad for every
week and it's sad when Kroger has better website
set up that Meyer or some of these other places
where you can actually find what you're looking
for and add it to a click list. Slight side note,
did you see the other news piece for stores kind
of thing this week? Not really. Supposedly, and
take this with a very large grain of salt. So
you want me to take it with a chunk of salt?
Pretty much, yeah. supposedly, let's see, are
Target and Kroger considering a merger? I doubt
it. I know that the company shipped, which my
wife worked for and still is kind of employed
by but hasn't done anything with in the last
like three months. They do door -to -door grocery
sale delivery. So like you go to You know your
Meyers stores or whatever like certain stores
they have they have contracts with and They they
deliver the the groceries to you so my wife did
that for a while a good five six months and Target
actually bought that company to do that. And
Amazon's got somewhat of their own, Walmart's
got somewhat of their own. They're all starting
to do it. Kroger's got one, but you have to pick
it up at the door, more or less. It's click -less.
You go to customer service, they bring you your
cart full of crap, and you just pay for it. But,
yeah, I mean, it's... I don't know if that would
actually happen. I doubt it. Here's the thing
with Toys R Us going away. bankrupt, whatever,
basically they are bankrupt and they're getting
rid of everything. Here's the thing, there's
this huge void, there's this huge vacuum for
the toy companies now, because you only have
Walmart, Target, Meyer You have these other like
specialty shops like Hot Topic and Spencer's
not really cuz who the hell's been in a Spencer's
in the last 10 or 15 years or even Hot Topic
like I mean they've kind of converted to a pop
culture store which there's a store that's more
or less called like Box lunch or something like
that and they they're basically like a giant
pop culture like what Spencer's and and Hot Topic
are doing but they're what they were doing, but
they're clean. So I can take my kids in there
and don't have to worry about them seeing a pair
of like, genitalia on something or, you know,
I don't have to worry about it. Yeah. But like,
that's the question now though. What are the
toy companies going to do? Because Toys R Us
say what we will about the stores, not the employees
specifically, but the way that the stores were
managed, that kind of a thing. was pretty much
where most toy companies had a lot of their stuff
like that was how they marketed it and outside
of having it on their own websites and whatever
else like I've been at least here in Illinois.
I've been to several targets and Walmart's and
the toy aisles are just They're abysmal looking
Yeah, not only abysmal, but their their pricing
structure is terrible The yeah, and I realize
it's partially inflation partially not but one
of my one of my key problems with The toy industry
is that the prices keep going up like the in
ultra 20 years ago Was $20 it's 60 now So like
obviously there's no way I'm going to buy something
like that for my kid like I'm not spending $60
on a toy It just not happening like I can buy
an entire playset for $100 as a kid and now you
know a place That's like $200. It's it's like
no I'm not spending that and the quality is it
is like the the aesthetics are better To some
degree and the the appearance of the figure,
but the quality control is terrible yeah, and
so it's one of those instances where I just I
don't I Don't want to waste the money like I
we buy things for our kids from yard sales because
it's secondhand it's used and it's cheap and
honestly my kids don't care long enough for me
to even warrant spending the money that it would
cost to go to a store so like that's part of
it like I and I don't even buy collectibles for
myself I'm offloading 99 % of my stuff because
I just don't have room for it and Like I said
a lot of the stuff. Yes, like I'm nostalgic to
a point like I have the masterpiece Beast Wars
Optimus Prime Primal Mm -hmm, but like the only
other masterpiece I care about is anything Megatron
related and After that like I'm I'm done with
like collecting transformers but the The void
that Toys R Us is going to make is going to hurt
Hasbro going to hurt Mattel going to hurt a lot
of these these like Mattel is already hurting
and You add this to it. Like it's just gonna
make it worse I think they lost 11 % of revenue
during the the holiday season and Hasbro lost
like eight or nine percent Which is huge considering
usually their banking during that time. Mm -hmm
And then to you know That's that's kind of where
it's good that KB Toys is coming back because
they had a lot of other exclusives that Were
a little bit different because if you remember
even ten fifteen years ago, we had Walmart exclusive
Transformers for instance we had KB exclusive
Transformers we had Toys R Us exclusive which
the Toys R Us exclusive don't be wrong We're
cool, but they really they didn't really have
anything that was worth going like yay It comes
with a DVD of one episode like who cares KB had
something nice, like we had the entire Machine
Wars line, which granted was a repaint of the
G2 and the European line of Transformers, but
it still was an interesting marketing ploy to
try and do something that was a little bit different,
and it came around the time of Beast Wars, like
in 97. And so it was like a couple years after
Beast Wars had started, so it said Machine Wars
and it was in the same font and kind of really
cool looking. And we owned the entire line because
there was only like 12 figures. Right. The only
thing now for Walmart, Target, whatever toy exclusive
thing is honestly that I look at is the Funko
Pops. That's the only thing I look at when it
comes to toy exclusives from those two specific
stores. So um, but yeah Toys R Us may you rest
in peace when that was when that news was breaking
I I kept making the joke of oh Jeffrey's now
a deadbeat dad. He you know, he's the giraffe
that infregnated April with her all her giraffe
babies and everything else Because that whole
April the giraffe thing. Oh god. Anyway, I know
bad joke How about John Cena talking about Transformers
Bumblebee? Anybody care about that? Nope. Okay,
so... Speaking to Metro during an interview regarding
his latest movie, blockers actor and professional
wrestler John Cena stated that Bumblebee, the
movie, will reinvigorate the Transformers fans
while still pleasing the fans of the original
five movies. They were fans? Are there? Stop
it. Get out of my head, dude. Are there fans
of the original five movies? I'm sure there are.
Yeah, I'm sure there are, too. I mean, it's made
more than enough. D2? I don't know. Adding more,
Mr. Cena stated, I think that Travis Knight did
a fantastic job of reintroducing the look, the
feel, the storytelling of this franchise. I think
people who enjoy what Transformers was will enjoy
the movie. I think it will attract a new fan
base. I know Haley did a fantastic job. I also
know that it felt very different. I think fans
of the franchise are going to be excitingly reinvigorated
with the new look. So there's that. I mean, it's
John Cena. I like him on the WWE stuff and whatever
else and you know, he everybody has to do movie
promotion. So, you know, it's cool. Did you have
anything that you wanted to bring up? Because
the only other thing I have is the comic solicitations
for June 2018. I had, for instance, there's the
Transformers Power of the Primes Optimus Primal,
which we've actually gotten to see images of,
and it's actually quite stellar. Being that it's
probably the most show -accurate optimal optimus
we've gotten, like the one we got years ago.
Had a lot of issues with teeny tiny head big
giant body And in the the cockpit piece and then
the the shoulder cannons were Not very good because
they stuck out way too far And you couldn't you
couldn't even put them away like that was the
worst part like you couldn't put them away whatsoever
like cuz Primal didn't have them all the time
And this figure you can do that because Primal,
the regular beast form, is essentially the backpack
that plugs into the back of the Optimal Optimus
version. And so the Optimal Optimus head and
the shoulder cannons and the cockpit are a part
of the Optimus Primal figure that goes in it.
Very cool, and you can add flames to the the
the gun thing because they don't shoot anything
It's just you just pop them in there and the
the little shield pieces that go on the arms
Are a lot shorter like they were in the show
they aren't like insanely large To have that
pop -out action like they used to have and then
you get the matrix of leadership that goes in
the cockpit And primal actually turns into a
hoverboard for the beast form of primal for the
optimal optimus which is kind of reminiscent
of the transmetal form so absolutely it's very
awesome I would get it except for the fact that
I'm more interested in the Megatron that's gonna
be coming eventually for for masterpiece that
I don't want to use this particular spacing to
get this figure when I got the one I wanted so
There's that then there's the g1 soundtrack vinyl
That's all right, there's a lecture edition vinyl
records Yeah, why does it have to be I love vinyl
don't get me wrong But not releasing it in CD
or anything like that or digital specifically
doing it on purpose because vinyl has made some
kind of a resurgence for a collectible item Yeah,
so they're making it so they and they're doing
this with everything anymore, and this is it's
a little bit annoying like It's like almost when
they come up with like a VHS or a audio cassette
tape For something like Guardians of the Galaxy
the mixtape thing. Yeah So like they're gonna
have 500 Optimus Prime theme 500 Megatron and
a thousand bubble be Mm -hmm and the bubble be
one isn't even at all that like there's nothing
extravagant about any of these other than they
have the Autobot or Decepticon logo in the center
and then they have like some of the colored palette
so like they have The yellow and black for bumblebee
they have blue and red for prime and then they
have Purple and white for Megatron, and that's
that's it like it's not There they're only gonna
sell 2 ,000 of these yeah Through think geek
so there's that Also of note I mentioned a few
episodes back the that dark glass is being reconsidered
Mm -hmm as a revisit the The production crew
is really wanting to finish it Everybody's gotten
this this point where they're kind of ready and
they're they're looking at new technologies to
Essentially import the models into so we're not
using outdated software they'll still be able
to use the rigs we created but I think they're
going to use Unity or something to import it
and then re -rig the models in it and should
make it a lot easier for them. So yeah, there's
only two or three guys in there that actually
know what they're doing. I know nothing as far
as animating. It sounds like they're going to
be working on it, so I don't know how soon it's
going to come out, but it should eventually surface.
Very cool very awesome Yeah, like I said, I would
love to have that transformer soundtrack, but
unless it's digital I Don't have we don't even
have a working record player anymore. We did
we had two of them actually we had to leave them
both One was kind of broken the other one worked,
but we had to leave her my wife stereo behind
because it was one of those old Floor model every
single component you you know Record player AM
FM CD cassette we had to leave that behind sadly
when we moved Because it just would not fit Anyway
on to the comics the IDW publishing Transformers
June 2018 solicitations start out with Optimus
Prime number 20 written by John Barber art by
Kizama I'm probably butchering butchering that
name the falling part five Optimus has faced
defeat before and come back but he's never seen
anything like this Beyond life, beyond death,
only the wisdom of an old friend save him. Meanwhile,
Victorion battles Devastator and only one will
survive. Bullet notes on this issue, the return
of Bumblebee. So anyone that hasn't been reading
the IDW comics, Bumblebee's been dead for a long
time. One shall rise, one shall fall, but who
will destroy them all? So there's that. This
one is advanced solicited for a July release.
It's Transformers Optimus Prime Volume 3, John
Barber, Kizama, Priscilla Tramontano, Casey Caller,
Joanne Elefante. This collects Optimus Prime
issues 11 to 14 in the Optimus Prime First Strike
and Transformers First Strike One Shots. What
new future will the Transformers bots face with
Optimus Prime trapped on Cybertron? Embroiled
in the first strike event, the Autobots on Earth
set off to a mission to find their missing friend,
Jazz. But anti -Cybertronian humans are after
him as well, and they are armed with Cybertronian
weapons. Offered again, Optimus Prime volume
1, volume 2. Transformers Lost Light issue 19,
written by James Roberts, art by E .J. Su. Colors
by Nick Roach. Death from above. Years ago, the
crew of the Lost Light fought a demonic Cybertronian
mutant that fed on its victims' souls. Years
later, Rodimus and co. are about to discover
that only thing worse than a spark eater is an
army of spark eaters. Dun dun dun. Leads into
the biggest story in the history of the Lost
Light. So that's happening. We also have Lost
Light's Number 20 all as it says is Rodimus versus
getaway finally So there's that And the last
bit from the June 2018 solicitations transformers
the wreckers saga. This is advanced solicited
for July release Basically what this is it collects
last stand of the wreckers sins of the wreckers
and the new one -shot Requiem of the wreckers
into one giant trade So that's what that is.
Let's see. Three tales of the legendary records
from creators Nick Roach and James Roberts are
collected into this special edition. From the
prison planet of Geras 9, a mysterious siege,
the lonely exploits of kidnapped Prowl, Roach
and Roberts with artist Guido Guidi reveal traitors,
long lost secrets, and all the hard -nosed action
that made the records the legends that they are.
So if you're not reading Transformers comics
guys and gals you kind of should especially with
this next announcement that happened Over the
wonder con weekend because wonder con was this
past weekend I got this press release from IDW.
The Transformers bots face their greatest enemy
ever in this summer's event series, Transformers
Unicron. The first chapter launches on Free Comic
Book Day, Saturday, May 5th, 2018 with issue
number zero. The fate of all worlds are at stake,
as the world -eating menace Unicron has set his
sights on Cybertron, home of the Transformers
robots and next -in -line Earth. A bi -weekly
six -issue event titled Transformers Unicron
arrives this July and will bring about the end
of the Transformers universe as we know it, as
Optimus Prime gathers his defenses against this
monstrous threat. It might be too little too
late. Veteran Transformers creators John Barber
and Alex Milne are joined by colorist Sebastian
Chang to tell the epic conclusion to the current
Transformers comic book universe. Transformers
Unicron is a culmination of the years of Transformers
comics I've been part of. uh... and the conclusion
of one of the longest continued narrative in
transformers history said barber the story of
heroism and face of impossible laws reckoning
for an entire universe i couldn't be luckier
than to have alex right here with me on this
if you know alex you know nobody puts more into
the transformers than he does and nowhere before
has he drawn drama action and apathos in scale
Tying it all together is the incredible palette
of Sebastian Chang. We've never held back before
our Transformers comics, but this time we're
pushing ourselves and each other harder than
ever. Transformers Unicron is basically a grand
finale to the past 12 years of Transformers comics
at IDW and to really celebrate that and to celebrate
the people who have made it such an amazing ride.
We're getting some amazing beloved artists to
contribute. to what I'm sure will be a biggest
literally Transformer story ever, said David
Marriott, associate editor. This is an event
years in the making and one that only works because
of the years fans and creators have invested
in the comic. The action kicks off on Free Comic
Book Day, May 5th, with the zero issue by the
series creative team available for free at comic
shops across the country. Don't miss the world
-ending first chapter of the summer's cataclysmic
event. So yeah transformers unicorn a couple
of questions here if this is the end of the current
Trans like if this is the big end all be all
final storyline what's IDW gonna do next with
transformers because they had When I started
with IDW and Transformers, it was read the death
of Optimus Prime and then you can go in one of
two directions or both. You can go to Robots
in Disguise, which is set on Cybertron, or you
can go to the Lost Light, which is Rodimus and
company out in space. Those each lasted for 57
issues. They rebranded Mother Meets the Eye to
Lost Light and the Transformers to Optimus Prime.
Well, according to this what I'm seeing here
is that they're going to now rebrand again and
relaunch For a new number one. I'm pretty sure
the story and all of that will continue obviously
but I don't know in what way or what had IDW's
quote -unquote relaunches are better than Two
other companies I know of at least So they don't
just relaunch to relaunch Just to get that number
one sales thing so but very exciting times to
be Transformers comics fans folks Yeah, I'm still
waiting out these two words comic that I'll actually
care about It's like honestly, I don't I don't
care about Transformers comics anymore Last time
I cared about them, they got cancelled too. Or
like, stuck out. I liked Dreamwave. And granted,
that's because the owner was a douche. I was
more involved in the storyline and the art of
Dreamwave than I am in this current run. Of what
I've seen like I've collected some of the early
stuff of IDW's. I didn't care for it. I I honestly
like just I don't know I found it too rough and
I Mean, I know that that's the time and that's
the way everything's going but I I just it wasn't
for me So I've just kind of stayed out of comics
mm -hmm the last like six years it's been kind
of like I, you know, I fell out of the Transformers
comics for a while, but I've gotten back in.
I don't keep up with it, like, issue by issue,
but I keep up with it by trade. Obviously, did
Autobotly April and August last year on the pull
bag, and gonna do Autobotly August again this
year, since... August has five Wednesdays and
I think three Saturdays. You're basically gonna
get a Double dose of the pullback all August
long for Transformers and they'll also be featured
over here on HTTF as well I mean, I'm really
digging it. Sometimes I can't get into it, but
other times I can for the most part So who knows,
you know, I mean Unicron in the comics. I don't
remember the last time that happened. I know
it Okay, well I never read Dreamwave so they
they had him getting ready to come up in the
regular Transformers line, and then they had
him in Energon and Armada show up mm -hmm, so
I Was I was very involved with with Dreamwave.
I owned everything and then I I think I still
have a few cool, but All right, so the cataclysmic
thing I mentioned at the beginning of the show
let's get to that but let me ask you first Steve
have you and I'm pretty sure you have but I'm
pretty sure you don't watch it at this point
now I'm sure you've seen Jeopardy before right
yeah I've watched it from time to time and like
I mean it's not something I go out of my way
to watch but if it was something that was on
and and I got intrigued by a question I would
sit there and watch it Right. Well, my wife Karen
eventually wants to be on the show so we watch
because she's in training So there's that on
the season 34 episode 137 this aired March 20th
2018 the category was geek confusion The one
of the questions was Kardashians are reality
TV stars Cardassians are an alien culture in
this sci -fi universe. Star Trek Deep Space Nine
and Star Trek The Next Generation. They accepted
what is Star Trek. It is true. It's in multiple
series. Yeah. So they accepted the what is Star
Trek as an acceptable question answer thing.
Next question, or the other question that was
in more to the point of this podcast, Metatron.
is an Archangel of Jewish myth, this Transformers
bad guy could be turned into a toy gun. Okay,
now before we answer, because we all know it,
at least anyone that listens to this show should
freaking know it if they don't. Before we answer,
even if you're looking at Metatron, there's two
tells here. One, if you've watched Supernatural,
you would know who that is. Because that was
a character played by Booker of... Revenge of
the Nerds. And two, if you replace one letter,
it becomes the name of the character in question.
Exactly. For those of you who don't watch Supernatural
Metatron, you would have seen him played by Alan
Rickman in Dogma. So obviously the answer is
Megatron. My original post on Facebook says,
the guy who originally rang in on the TF, on
the Transformers answer, said Optimus Prime.
My reaction? Uh, what? And I have the audio to
prove this, and we'll play it in a minute here,
folks. But yeah, like, seriously. And I didn't
even remember the guy's name at the time when
I wrote the post. I've gone back and looked and
saw what it was at this point. The guy's name
was AJ. I don't know. I have no clue. When I
made this post on Facebook with pictures of both
of these clues from screen caps, I had said I
was feeling perplexed with Kevin Thompson, Steven
C. Phillips, Amy Morgan, you know, all our Transformers
fans, and I included Michael Dodd in that because
Birdman is a Transformers fan just like we are.
Well, some guy named Andy Saunders... just went
on a tear saying how dare I make fun of or mock
somebody on Jeopardy. Okay, well, first of all,
actually, you know what, I'm gonna boil this
down to what Optimus Solo said. What Optimus
Solo said or what was the other guy that we're
friends with? Alex? No, he was, isn't he from
RFC? Oh. Ender, yes. Yes, yes, yes. Ender, yeah,
yeah, yeah. Very eloquently. Yeah, kind of. Yeah,
Ender's response was, so basically, you know,
this Andy Saunders guy basically says, your definition
of fun clearly differs from mine. I fail to see
how mocking people is fun. Well, first of all,
here's the thing. We all sit at home and participate
at home with Jeopardy. We all mock the TV. We
all mock the TV. It's not just me. Good old Ender
from Radio Free Cybertron says, I guess it must
be hard to see how anything is fun from up there
on that high ass horse. Back in reality, mocking
people is tons of fun. For instance, it's time
for the Daily Double. Pew pew pew pew pew. This
sanctimonious jackass should keep his holier
than thou mouth shut. Now, that's Ender. And
that's Ender, unfiltered as he always is, and
that's amazing. But Optinus Solo did it... Diplomatically.
Yeah. Kind of how we would probably do it. My
issue is this, if you're auditioned to an Ender
Beyond a Game show, talent competition, or other
public competition, you know that you're in front
of the public eye. You assume the risk of saying
or doing something that may make you look foolish
in some people's eyes. You take that risk, so
you can't turn around and be butthurt if someone
has some innocent fun at the situation at hand.
The thing is, the person in question probably
isn't even upset. It's a crazed fan that is trying
to be upset on his behalf. Yeesh, this guy must
hate hidden camera shows and America's Funniest
Home Videos. How dare we get a chuckle at their
expenses? And then he says, Andy Saunders, relax,
dude. The only way that this guy even saw my
thing, and supposedly, because I looked into
him, supposedly he runs a Jeopardy fan podcast
or something or other. I don't know. Which Alex
then made the comment. Alex Richie, like, yeah,
yeah, good old at, yeah, good old at Turner Treasure
on Twitter. Yeah, like, I can't think of anything
more boring than a Jeopardy podcast, other than,
you know, watching paint dry podcast, or listening
to paint dry podcast, yeah. But here's the thing,
like, This guy wouldn't have even seen this if
I hadn't tagged Dodd. I'm not saying it's Mike's
fault I'm just saying like that's the only quote
-unquote mutual friend that we have in common
is Dodd from twig This thing went on this whole
back and forth went on for like 12 and a half
hours and the fact like sorry but the fact that
I still get likes or ha ha's on it is beyond
amusing to me that I mean it's essentially dead
at this point but I mean it's just crazy I think
he blocked everybody in there I think he did
because it kind of just stopped abruptly yeah
and in the commentary about you know what everybody
was saying was just quite humorous In of itself.
Mm -hmm. So yeah Yeah, I I just I Like seriously,
I can be passionate about stuff and I love jeopardy.
I've loved jeopardy since I was a kid But like
seriously being that anal about You know Mocking
a and it wasn't even like what like everybody
else said the guy probably didn't even like AJ
probably never even saw it It's just some crazed
fan doing the doing this and whatever like did
I insult the guy's intelligence? No, I had a
reaction to his answer What like um How do you
like how do you not know that like and I even
asked you know later, you know, how many people
Generally, especially now, since the last 10
years of Transformers movies, how many people
don't know that Optimus Prime is the good guy
and Megatron is the bad guy? Most people should
know that. Because of Michael Bay. Yeah, I'm
not even sure. I don't know, dude. So, yay. you
know, get another thing that kinda sorta, oh,
and the best part about this, and this is the
last thing I'll say on this, but the best part
about this was one of his other comments was
like, you better not say anything about my friend
on your podcast. Like, mother flipper, this is
America. I still have freedom of speech, damn
it. Sorry. Well, we do for now. Everybody gets
butthurt over somebody's opinion, so it's, that's
why there's so much discord in the world. That's
very true. Which I do briefly talk about in Altered
Geek. About the toxicity of everything and in
turn causing to fall out of fandoms because just
tired of hearing it. So, yeah. I don't even,
like, outside of my, and I know this might be
close -minded, but outside of my circle of friends,
I don't interact with the fandoms that I love.
It's not that I interact with them per se. I
kind of stay away from them to some degree, but
I'm aware of things in those areas. I'm enough
involved that I know what's going on and I can
have a conversation about it, but I kind of stay
distant enough that I don't have to Fight with
anyone I don't want to have to just it is not
even trying to defend my opinion or anything
like that. I just I honestly don't Want to have
the discord or irritation In my life like at
this point. I've got more than I care to Take
care of at this point that I really just don't
want to mess with it Yeah, you keep saying discord
and I'm waiting for John Delancey to show up.
I Think of discord I think of I think of that
other Skype alternative Yeah, so I think we should
probably close it out. Yep. We kind of veered
off the whole thing, but yeah. You can get ahold
of him on Twitter at TFJU and Mike. And I'm at
SCP 21. So until next time, transform and roll
out. Deep confusion 800. Metatron is an archangel
of Jewish myth. This transformer's bad guy could
be turned into a toy gun. AJ. Who is Optimus
Prime? No. Lisa John Lisa who's Megatron? Yes
geek confusion a thousand
