The Studio Asks You: What Are Your Holiday Traditions?

Hey, hey, hey, it's the Chaos Queen here, and

you're listening to the Geekcast Radio Network.

I triple dog dare ya! Ladies and gentlemen, you're

probably going to be hearing this after Christmas,

because, well... I'm running late this year on

everything, and there are currently only two

days left in 2025, which means, as insane as

I am, I can't release four, five, seven podcasts

within two days. Okay, listen, listen. Why? Because

me and Wolf, we were... No, no, no. No, no, no,

listen. Listen, we were writing down on the calendar

because there were three empty spots. So we decided

to add three extra days. Those are all holidays.

So I don't know if you'll be putting any podcasts

in. Podcasts always go in, no matter what. So

we have the 32nd, the 33rd, and the 34th. And

then the new year can start. That's not how that

works, unfortunately. It is here. That's not

how that works, unfortunately. And please, I

don't want any more days in 2025. I'm ready for

2026 to start now. My point is, folks, is that

2025 was crazy. I am, of course, TF2 and Mike.

She is the Chaos Queen. Say hello. I did. I said

hi, hi, hi. Hello. There you go. There you go.

And this is episode 164 of Studio 2009. Yes,

we started this one off a little bit differently

than we normally do. I had planned on getting

to episode 200 by the end of the year. We're

only probably going to get to episode 169, which

she and I still have to record. However, that

being set aside for now. Once we finish this,

you will be getting 165 through 168 because those

are all already produced and ready to go. But

we are here to do something that I did back in

2012 by myself at the time. And this is something

that I received in an email chain letter. Remember

email chain letters, folks? We used to get those

back in 2001 in the email chain letter days.

I don't know who sent this to me. I did not write

this. This is not written by me. I think my mom

actually sent this to me. I think she got it

in an email chain letter. Kathy Blanchard, may

you rest in peace. Hopefully you've been resting

these last 10 years. Please don't smite me up

there. Thank you. Uh, but, uh, that's the other

thing that's made this year difficult besides

all the health issues I've gone through with

my left arm and my right arm and my left leg

and my right leg and every appendage known to

man is that it's been 10 years since my mom passed

this year. So that's been the other issue that

I've gone through. But, yeah, so, like I said,

I did an audio version of this back in 2012.

You can still hear that version over on Geekcast

Radio. You'll be able to hear this version, as

I said, as episode 164 of Studio 2009. This is

the Holiday Diary from Massachusetts to Florida.

Oh, boy. So... How this is divvied up here, folks,

is I've got the red lines, Chaos has the green

lines, and we are going to read alternatively

alternating lines as the diary goes along. And

I start, and I believe, well, chivalry is dead,

folks. I start the thing and I finish the thing,

even though I'm not really fond of finishing

the thing because, oh, Florida. Just like a man.

Yeah, but I gave you all the good ones. I gave

you the Christmas Day line. The Christmas Day

line is the best line of the whole friggin' thing.

Okay, okay. I got the good parts. Yeah, you got

the good parts. You got the good bits. So it

starts August 1st. Move to our new home in Massachusetts.

It is so beautiful here. The city is just so

picked. Picture -esque. Can't hardly wait to

see it covered in snow. I love it here. October

1st. New England is the most beautiful place

on Earth. The leaves are turning all different

colors. I love the shapes of red and orange.

Went for a ride through the hills and saw some

deer. They are so graceful. Certainly, they are

the most peaceful animals on Earth. This must

be paradise. I love it here. November 11th. Deer

season will open soon. I can't imagine anyone

wanting to kill such an elegant and beautiful

creature. Why, they are the very symbol of peace

and tranquility. I hope it will snow soon. I

love it here. December 2nd. It snowed last night.

I woke up to everything blanketed in white. It

looked like a postcard. Went outside to clean

snow off the steps and shovel the driveway. We

had a snowball fight. I won. When the snowplow

came by, we had to shovel the driveway again.

Gosh. December 12th. More snow last night. I

love it. The snowplow did his trick again, that

rascal. A winter wonderland. I love it here.

December 19th. Snowed again last night. Couldn't

get out of the driveway to get to work this time.

I'm exhausted from shoveling. Damn snowplow.

December 22nd. I'm sorry, folks. Makes me laugh

every time this thing is, like, almost, this

damn thing is 25 years old in 2026. More of that

white shit fell last night. I've got blisters

on my hands from shoveling. I think the snowplow

waits around the corner. I'm done shoveling,

that asshole. December 25th. White Christmas,

my friggin' ass. More fucking snow. If I ever

get my hands on the guy that drives that snowplow,

I swear I will castrate the dumb bastard. Don't

know why they don't use more fucking salt on

this ice. December 28th. Oh, boy. More of the

same shit last night. Been inside since Christmas

Day, except for when Snowplow Harry comes by.

Can't go anywhere. The car is buried in a mountain

of white shit. The weatherman says expect another

10 inches of this shit tonight. See, you know

how many shovels Shovelful 10 inches is? My back

aches. January 1st. Happy fucking New Year. The

weatherman was wrong. Again. We got 34 fucking

inches of snow this time. At this rate, it won't

melt until the friggin' 4th of July. The snowplow

got stuck down the road. Shit for brains. Had

the balls to come to my door and ask to borrow

my shovel. I told him I broke six shovels already,

shoveling the shit he dumped back in my driveway.

I broke the seventh shovel over his head. That's

right. January 4th. Finally got out of the house

today. Went to the store to get food and on the

way back a deer ran out in front of the car and

I hit the motherfucker. Did about $3 ,000 worth

of damage to the car. Wish the hunters would

have killed all the sons of bitches last November.

May 3rd. Put the car to the garage in town today.

Would you believe that the body is rotting away

from all the fucking salt they keep dumping all

over the roads? It really looks like a piece

of shit. May 10th. Move to Florida today. I just

love it here. I can't imagine why anyone in their

right fucking mind would want to live in the

godforsaken Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Say

it with me, Chaos. Fuck the snow. Oh, my God.

Oh, God. Yeah. This is too funny. I don't know

where my mom found this thing, but like I said,

she sent this to me. What we need now is the

Florida version. All right. I am going to write

that shit out. Okay, good. You create that. That

would be a good. A good follow -up. That'd be

a good Christmas. Yeah, a good follow -up. Good

Christmas in July. Yes. Oh, God. So there you

go, folks. We know it's a little late since Christmas

has already passed here in 2025. We do hope that

everyone listening to the sound of our voices

did have a good and happy and merry Christmas

this year in 2025. wonderful holidays whatever

you celebrate marry everything as i always say

i've been saying marry everything to everybody

to be even before the whole inclusivity thing

of all of the holiday stuff i've always said

marry everything just because i just like it

Well, my favorite thing is, well, it used to

be saying, like, Merry Christmas, and then somebody,

you know, saying back to me, Happy Kwanzaa, or

something like that. I used to love that. We

can all be included. That's inclusivity to me.

But since all of this, everything, I mean, I

know, I understand, I don't want to hurt anybody's

feelings, but at the same time, Happy Kwanzaa.

I mean, we should all just be like Seth from

the OC. Merry Christmas. No, I don't need a car.

Thank you. Oh, okay. But that's going to be very,

very short episode here in 164. However, folks.

you'll get to hear chaos and I again in episode

one 65, because that is where we recorded our

30th anniversary podcast. All about Casper, the

friendly ghost or Casper from 1995. Casper, that's

right. So that's what's coming up next here inside

Studio 2009. I am keeping this specific episode

completely kind of raw, not necessarily unedited

because I will obviously edit it, but I didn't

do the standard intro. I'm not probably going

to do the standard outro. I will say, obviously,

Chaos, if you would like to promote your YouTube

channel, you can do so. I am the Chaos Queen.

Everywhere you can find me with a capital Z.

And I hope y 'all like gaming. Come watch me

fail horribly. She does not fail horribly. Yes,

I do, but at least I'm funny about it. You don't

fail horribly. It's called a joke. You are funny

about it. I know it's called a joke. I know it's

called a joke. Yeah, and as of this recording,

you went back up to 245 on YouTube. Yep, yep.

So there's that. All right, folks, we will catch

you next time here inside Studio 2009. Happy

New Year, folks. Here's hoping 2026 is an awesome

year for everybody, and I'm just ready to hit

the reset button and just start new, just start

fresh. Hopefully next year is better than this

one was. So there you go, folks. The Holiday

Diary from Massachusetts to Florida. And maybe

next year sometime in the summer we will get

the From Florida to Wherever from Chaos. New

England. Yeah, there you go. That's going to

be interesting. All right, folks, we're going

to get the heck out of here. Catch you next time

here inside Studio 2009, only on the Geekcast

Radio Network. Bye. Hey. If any of you are looking

for any last -minute gift ideas for me, I have

one. I like Frank Shirley, my boss, right here

tonight. I want him brought from his happy holiday

slumber over there on Melody Lane with all the

other rich people. And I want him brought right

here, with a big ribbon on his head. And I want

to look him straight in the eye, and I want to

tell him what a cheap, lying, no -good, rotten,

four -flushing, low -life, snake -licking, dirt

-eating, inbred, overstuffed, ignorant, blood...

Sucking, dog -kissing, brainless, dickless, hopeless,

heartless, fat -ass, bug -eyed, stiff -legged,

spotty -lipped, worm -headed sack of monkey shit

he is. Hallelujah! Holy shit! Where's the Tylenol?
