About this Episode

The Talking in Circles crew holds their first-ever action hero draft, building teams of movie and TV action characters to construct their own Expendables-style films. Greg picks Frank Martin, James Bond, and Frank Bullitt; Chuck selects John Rambo, Martin Riggs, and Chance Bodreau; Dan drafts Tony Jaa, Jason Bourne, Snake Plissken, and Jack Bauer. Each host creates a movie concept around their team and pitches it to listeners for voting. The episode also features a tribute to Robin Williams following his recent passing.

Hey, Tara Strong here, and you're listening to

the Geekcast Radio Network. You are now on the

inside of what I like to call the circle of trust.

We are all connected in a great circle of life.

You know something, Bert? What? I think you and

I are going in circles. It feels like we're going

in circles. The circle is now complete. When

I left you, I was but the third. Now I am the

last. Because it's a circle. Yeah, we heard about

the circle. Yeah, that's what the million would

change. Hi, this is Greg. This is Chuck. And

this is Dan. And we are Talking in Circles brought

to you by the GeekCast Radio Network, the podcast

where we proudly say... Yippee -ki -yay, motherfucker.

Today, we are having a special action movie,

action hero episode, as we are going to be doing

an action hero draft. If you listened to an episode

a few months ago, maybe? I don't even know. We

did a superhero draft around the time the NFL

draft was going on, and this is in the same vein

as that. We're gonna tweak the rules a little

bit, but we'll be constructing our own Expendables

team, except... Ours might actually be good.

But before we get to all that, how's the week

been going for you guys? Not too bad. Kind of

boring. I spent some time rearranging crap in

my collection room because I just had like piles

of loose comics laying all over the place. Nice

stuff that I stuff I would dig out and like want

to look at. And then, you know, that would get

put in a pile. Then I take another pile out.

So. I ended up having to, like, take stuff off

the one shelf, put a bunch of DVDs up there,

move a bunch of graphic novels to where the DVDs

were, and then put a bunch of my comics back

in the long boxes. So it was a big ordeal. A

lot of work. It's funny because I do that, too,

with my comics, especially with my movies. Like,

I organize them alphabetically. My wife is like,

why do you spend so much time organizing your

movies? But when it comes to things like dishes

and the laundry and your clothes That's all over

the place, but your movies they are in pristine

order I'm like, I don't know cuz that way I can

get to them quick. All right Yeah, it's a it's

an arduous task, but uh, I guess I don't know

some might say futile because it gets messed

up again anyway, but I know, I know. I guess

you gotta prevent it from getting too out of

hand. Exactly, exactly. Greg, how's your week

been going? I have a saying, like a Groot, where

I'm just gonna say one thing. I am tired. I actually

took a nap before we did the podcast, so. Yeah,

I may or may not be awake during all of this

so we shall see somebody needs to slap me through

The internet if that's at all possible to wake

me up We'll just think guys We'll just find the

most annoying voice we can possibly find and

then like put it on blast and then there you

go You're gonna get Gilbert Godfrey on the podcast.

I mean it's got nothing else to do so we get

the guys from dumb and dumber to Cycle through

their most annoying sounds in the world Hopefully

we'll be entertaining enough to keep at least

Greg up. So if that happens I think that means

it's at least a halfway decent episode. So But

I'm actually right there with you Greg. I'm rather

tired myself. So if this is a sleepy episode

I apologize and my voice is a little raspy and

I don't know if that makes it sexy probably not

but uh Apparently Chuck only has the hot raspy

voice. Yeah, I don't I just sound like a you

know I'm sick or something, but I've just been

working a lot. So I think my body is starting

to shut down a little bit. So yeah, but I've

had an interest. I did get a little bit of a

break. I had a little bit of a game day with

one of my friends from work and he introduced

me into the hero clicks. I think I talked about

it not too long ago that I was getting into it.

I thought you said gang day. He introduced me

into his gang You try it out for a day see if

you like it, you know, I am now I'm now officially

a Crip. So what up my homies? I thought you were

gasping in shock. I was so shocked. Why would

he choose that gang? I'm sorry. Are you a blood?

Is this what's happening? Yes, I'm sorry. I wear

red all the time. I believe that's their color.

Yes, I think so Well, there was a geek cast radio

a little bit of a debate in or like a fake showdown

and one of the which one's better No, like off

the cuff episode. I think one of the people were

making fun of a show They never even watched

I think with alter geek and there was a little

bit of a bias there because one of the hosts

Mike powers who's on both So it was a little

bit humorous and then there's some comments about

it So I guess we'll have our own but with real

gangs because that's how we do Hardcore in real

life, but yeah anyways what I was really meant

to say is a game game day We played a little

bit of a day kind of like that, but except you

pay for things But he introduced me to the game

hero clicks, and I've been kind of interested

in it for a while He talked it up a bunch. He

actually gave me some of his extra pieces anyways,

we swear playing a little bit of hero clicks,

and I didn't know what it was gonna be like and

to me sometimes those games can get overly complicated

and i'm like i i'm gonna check out and i just

too many little things and and there are a lot

of different rules and stuff like that but honestly

it's like you're some major categories and then

of what things can do and then uh like different

powers and whatnot but it's actually kind of

simple once you get into it it's like it comes

down to like chess with action heroes and i actually

ended up really liking it and kind of Getting

into it a great deal and as we were playing it,

you know, we live in a dangerous world I started

buying my own so I bought a set of like it was

a random set of different hero clicks for it

was pretty cheap was like 50 cents a piece and

I got another like a starter kit and it's actually

really fun because you get all these different

characters and I the set just came today and

I got like a Captain America a blade of vision

a Nick Fury. So it's kind of cool. It's like

it's like a collecting Collecting them and playing

them. So actually really into it. So maybe when

you guys come down for Baltimore comic -con I

can introduce you to it as well. So so it's a

fun time It's I think a lot easier to get into

it when you know someone who knows how to play

it I still don't know how to play it completely,

but I I am kind of addicted to it now and it's

one of those things like I have this mentality

if I get into something I get into it hardcore

very quickly. So But the thing usually with that

is after you get into it Like maybe a month or

two down the road. You'll be like I'm not gonna

do that anymore and move on to something else

true true it happens sometimes it just it maintains

sometimes it doesn't But I think it depends if

you have someone else who's doing it, too I think

it's easier to maintain like, you know But like

I got hardcore in the podcast and that's lasted

few years and it's only expanded into the fact

I'm doing them now, too. So We'll see how it

goes. I was curious about Hero Clicks. I kind

of always wanted to try it, but I was scared

because I'm kind of obsessive with collecting

things. I saw your photos of the Marvel Legends

on Facebook, so I could see where that comes

from. As evidenced by my over 150 Marvel Legends

and all that crap. But I was just scared of getting

into Hero Clicks because I'm going to want them

all once I start going. The good thing is it's

pretty cheap. I mean the like you have pieces

that are 50 cents and some and like most expensive

ones are usually like three dollars and I mean,

there are some really rare ones you'll see for

like hundreds of dollars But like it those aren't

all that common like you can get really good

pieces for pretty pretty cheap So I heard the

rarest one. It's like four thousand dollars.

It's professor Xavier with hair Really? No. I

bought that hook lining sinker. That does sound

pretty cool, actually. I'd like to try that out.

Is it kind of like the card game, except with

using little figures? I guess so. I mean, I'd

never really played that card game, so I remember

trying it out. But everyone has, there's different

categories. There's quickness, hitting ability.

like a protection strength and stuff like that

each of them means something else and you kind

of like you'll be able to battle against people

then each one has like a card with it that has

special powers that means I can do stuff and

then you end up like rolling dice to try to beat

one another so it ends up being a lot I mean

there's some strategy to it but it's also a lot

of roll the dice so In my first game, I actually

like I dominated him he that sounded bad And

I've just given Greg all kinds of ammo here,

yeah He had a team of green lanterns. It was

a bunch of different what they weren't our green

lanterns There were some yellow all these lantern

characters and I mainly had Marvel characters

like spider -man iron man And like Iron Man was

my most powerful character and I had like the

Prowler and Goliath. So I had like a really street

-based team. I ended up winning though because

it just worked out that way. I hit a bunch of

bad rolls. So it's cool. There's a lot of strategy

to it. Like you get like 500 points and each

Character is worth different amounts like a very

powerful character is like a hundred points But

someone who's not that powerful is like 50 points

so you can either get a bunch of you know a mixture

of like a powerful character and some minor characters

or You know a couple powerful characters. So

it depends on how you do it It's kind of similar

to like the card game we created but yeah the

miniature so so it's kind of it's kind of like,

you know Marvel versus meets chess meets risk

Exactly. Yeah, it's very it did remind me a great

deal of risk was a little bit more Into it so

yeah, cuz I know that's like, you know a lot

of dice rolling for all the battles and stuff

Yeah, yeah, and you have different like you have

different maps and certain maps mean different

things like we played in a map that was Batman's

manner so like it had stairs and you have to

go upstairs you could like go upstairs, but if

you had a person that flies it doesn't matter

and all this different stuff, so And a lot that

I got like it was a random lot and some of them

I got a couple of doubles which was kind of sucks

but like yeah, I got it was You know Donald Blake

like just the guy Donald Blake I want anyone

ever versus dude His powers are pretty pathetic,

but I got some good ones like electro and Wolverine

and blade and spider -man and Captain America.

So It was I think I mean I did made put up made

out pretty well and I actually found this site

online where I can pick them and Like I said

a lot of them were like 50 cents, you know 45

cents and it's not bad. So it's easy to get in

that thing. That's the bad thing though. It's

that You're like, oh, it's only 50 cents and

then it's like 30 characters later. Like oh this

kind of added up so I can't believe you got Donald

Blake. That's funny though. Yeah, I got Donald

Blake and also Hank Pym It's like you got Nick

Fury's nephew's third grade teacher It's when

you get like Natalie Portman or something I'm

gonna take this character and go into my bedroom

to play Gotta be careful rolling those particular

dice But yeah anyway, so I I will I'll get into

that more so hopefully maybe if we if you guys

come down I can show you how to play and we can

See how it goes. Maybe you'll hate it. Maybe

you'll like it. I don't know So maybe I'll be

over it by then and be like, oh, yeah, I gave

up on that What? Screw that It's for jerks. But

yeah, that's pretty much all I've been doing

this week and like I mentioned at the top of

the show today we're doing a hero draft and the

expendables came out not too long ago and kind

of an inspiration of that we're thinking well,

let's make our own expendable seem but Using

different action heroes and we're gonna be picking

from actual characters. So Greg could pick Rambo

and Chuck could pick Rocky and I could pick something

else like we're so that it it's not the actor

But the characters and similar to last draft

once you pick a character that character is off

the board So Greg can't pick Rambo from Rambo

one and then Chuck pick Rambo for Rambo three

Who by the third movie is just a god who can

just you know bulking muscle Behemoth ness so

but now so that goes off the board and TV characters

are eligible as well So it's not just movie characters.

It is TV characters I think we're probably gonna

stick away from anyone superpowers because I

think we're thinking more along the lines of

action heroes So so you could potentially have

a whole team of just Sylvester Stallone, which

would be the best thing ever Be a lot of mumbling

and a lot of snarly really hard to understand

the whole movies and subtitles Man the amount

of steroids that would make that movie jeez The

name of your movie would be anabolic The movie

but I think that's pretty much it for rules.

We're gonna change the rules a little bit. Last

time we did a snake draft where basically the

last person went first the next round but to

clear things up we're not gonna do that and we're

gonna go in order of votes of who won the last

draft and the winner of last superhero draft

was Greg. He came in first with his team and

then Chuck With his untouchables team came in

second and because you jerks didn't vote for

me. I came in third. So But so I gotta I gotta

pick up my game up for this time But uh any other

things before we get this thing underway underway

I don't think so. We covered the you know, we're

gonna have a little bit of a story and a name

So yeah, I should mention that that at the end

After we pick all of our characters, similar

to last time where we came up with a name and

what our comic would be about, we'll be coming

up with a name of our movie or team and what

it will be about. So we can't just, it's not

just picking the people, it's picking the best

movie that would make the best team, or sorry,

the best team that would make the best movie.

And similar to last time, we'll put another poll

and this time you better vote for me. I'm going

to do some campaign finance reform or something

like that to get get more votes. But I'll put

it on the episode post like last time to see

who came up on top. So we'll probably run that

for a week or two before we claim a winner. So

you guys are going to think mine is corny as

hell, probably. So it'd be perfect for fitting

inspired by the expenditure. So mine's going

to be unoriginal. So there you go. But so, Greg,

I think we'll get things underway with the first

official 2014 action hero draft. Greg, you are

currently on the board. Who are you going to

pick for your first draft choice? Let me first

say that we need some kind of like sound animation,

like a lot of explosions. Thank you. Just did

it. I think that's the official that's the official

noise and well like ESPN will do it every 30

seconds Yeah, exactly. That's why I was thinking

and I say after every other word I say we can

do it so and in true NF ESPN fashion every 45

seconds We will stop for Johnny Manziel LeBron

James update and then get back to what we're

doing Sitting on the couch not paying attention

to this broadcast or anything else Swear now

that Johnny Menzel and LeBron are both in Cleveland

ESPN is just gonna move their headquarters there

They can keep closer tabs on them. Yeah Gosh,

it's it's Unbelievable how much they talk about

those two this it is pretty sad But anyways Greg

is now your official choice who are you going

with? Okay, well I'm gonna do a little startup

again. I didn't write anything down this time.

It's just a setup. It's gonna start off in a

dark warehouse and a man with slicked back, receding

hairline, black hair, he's got a scar going down

his face, he looks very grizzled, comes walks

out into the middle of this Giant room with only

one light hanging down and he gets into the middle

Okay, he gets into a group of In the middle of

a circle of five men with black hoods over their

heads and he tells them that he's got a very

important mission for them and that it's their

time to meet their their teammates and he rips

off the first hood and the bald man Lot of stubble

and he's wearing an awesome freaking suit that

is perfectly pressed and laundered My first pick

is Frank Martin from the transporter series Was

that was that a choice taken taken from you Chuck?

Not necessarily. I have a I have a big bank to

choose from I'll show you good point. Good. Good.

Good pull. I mean an actual In an actual expendable

and that funny thing. I was watching transporter

2 before we started recording so I I do enjoy

those movies and I do enjoy that character a

lot. He's he's a little bit on the bad side But

he he's got a moral barometer to him. Yeah. Yeah

Definitely. I do I do really enjoy those those

movies, especially the first one might be my

favorite or I don't know They all have their

moments. So yeah That red -haired chick that

was creepy as hell no in the second one. Yeah,

that's actually the scene I was watching it's

like oh man. She is Scary and like with the guns

and the lack of clothes It looks like somebody

took a brush with a leftover watercolor still

on it and just kept flicking it at her face So

she's colorful she's got a good personality No,

she doesn't she was very bitchy hit that character.

She had nothing going for I guess I guess she

was and she wasn't even a good shot I don't know

bad assassin. So no one's picking her apparently

Chuck on to you. Were you picking for your first

pick in the first round of the action hero draft?

I'm going with the red hair chick from transfer.

Oh, he he I was trying to it was trying to undersell

her, but you saw through it. So now I will take

someone that we were kind of being fun of a little

bit earlier, though, and that is. John Rambo.

Nice, nice, nice. First first selection for my

team. I guess when you pick in Rambo, my question

would be which Rambo is you don't obviously the

same character, but do you have a favorite Rambo?

I don't know. I mean. All of them are pretty

good, but I guess I think from first blood, you

know, just the original. Yeah, yeah, I think

that's a good one. Nothing is over. I still haven't

seen the fourth one, honestly. Really? Yeah,

it's one of the like I bought it and I've been

meaning to watch it I just never did so that's

like that is to me what aliens is to err what

terminator is to Greg I guess Rambo is also like

those movies because I've only ever seen parts.

I've never seen a whole Geez, we're gonna the

fourth. The fourth one is pretty gruesome. I

will say yeah, I mean I think More so than the

other ones in my opinion. I don't know. Yeah,

I remember seeing it and this looked like I don't

know. It looked rather bloody. Yeah, you know,

people's heads getting blown up or stuff like

that. Pretty crazy. For my first pick, I shouldn't

say last pick, I'm skipping already. For my first

pick, I'm actually really surprised this person's

available. I actually had a backup plan, because

if you listen to the last episode, we did this

draft by two picks were taken. So I was like,

I hope this doesn't happen again. And it doesn't.

And this character is actually available. Probably

my favorite action hero, honestly, the more I

think about it. Part of my favorite action hero

trilogy. Don't you do it? Oh Am I gonna do it?

It's gonna be Jason Bourne Oh Retribution I don't

really care I Did maybe possibly have my eye

on him But you're gonna be like I have this big

pool to choose from and then by your third prick

be like my pool is now empty I have more than

the amount of people that would be on all of

our teams total. So I know my ass is covered.

Nice, nice. Yeah, there's a lot of people, but

I'm going to Jason Bourne first. Like I said,

I'm going to get into like why I'm picking my

characters at the end. But he it had to be my

first pick. I love the character. I love the

films. So very resourceful. And that's a key

to a lot of my characters. And he can hold his

own. So I'm going to Jason Bourne. So second

round, Greg, you're now up again. My second pick

will be a surprise pick but the red hair chick

from transport to But it's kind of more from

the fact of kind of an accessory that he has

More than him himself. And so for my second choice,

I pick Michael Knight from Knight Rider TV show.

Wow. Wow. Nice. That is the pick of the night

so far. Hassle to Huff. Man, of all the people

I was thinking it would be, you know, Stallone,

Statham, Jason Bourne. David Hasselhoff Yeah,

I mean he has he's a kick -ass accessory so you

got to go with that Alright Chuck back to you.

What are you going with with your second pick?

Well, I'm actually really surprised this guy

is still available because I think this is somebody

that we all bragged up quite a bit in the badass

bracket way back when dude from Baywatch and

That is, of course, the enemy of Hans Gruber,

which is one John McLean. Nice, nice. I thought

about John McLean, too. He just doesn't really

go with the theme of what I'm going with, so

he wouldn't really fit. So but can't go wrong

with John McLean. John McLean always fits. So,

Greg, have you seen a diehard movies or have

you not seen a diehard movies? I've I've seen

all the diehard movies. I actually saw the latest

one where he's in Russia. I think this past weekend

I just I just watched it. I heard a lot of bad

stuff about it, but I thought it actually was

halfway decent. There's a lot of unbelievable

stuff, but that's just part of the course in

the action hero genre for the most part. My parents

really seemed to enjoy it too. My dad's only

comment through the whole thing was, Had to have

a huge budget for this look how many cars they

destroyed look how many cars they hit because

for like First 20 minutes of the movie. It's

just like a freaking demolition Kirby for the

most part Yeah, I wasn't the biggest fan of the

last one But I really enjoyed the fourth one

and I think everyone hates that one too. So I

don't know But yeah, very cool. We know you the

movie snob. You can't I am a movie snob, apparently

I get that told that a lot So I'm up again and

this one I didn't think It's gonna get more and

more obnoxious as the end like the last it's

gonna be five minutes long of like oh, yeah Yeah,

like when they list the entire cast of expendables

3. Yeah They have to get like an extra long poster

just to fit all the names This one I I knew you

wouldn't be picked because I know it's not a

it comes this one also comes from tv And I know

it's a tv show i've talked about a lot a lot

on this podcast when we did our top favorite

tv shows This was on it. And of course, it's

uh martin chene from the west wing. Uh, no, not

really It is jack bauer from 24 Thanks, uh, and

I know you guys haven't really gotten the 24

highly recommended at least the first few seasons

I I kind of started the the recent season that

came up but It wasn't all that great and it was

one of those things I got behind on and I'll

have to catch up with it later But uh, yeah Jack

Bauer. He is American badass. You can take a

lot of you can take a lot of shit He can get

things done in a day. So that will play into

my my my thing later So my second pick is Jack

Bauer. So Greg we are in now round three Moving

this thing along. So who you going with you got

kit you got Yeah, I essentially have no, we're

not really counting. We have David Hasselhoff.

And you pick Knight Rider. You can sit down.

We just want the car. I mean, you got it. I mean,

David Hasselhoff can't he can't stand up anyway.

OK, just stay. But his hair in that though, you

got to get him credit for that hair. It's pretty

pretty awesome But so yeah, you have David Hasselhoff

and who was the other pick? I can't believe Frank

Martin. So you got a lot of driving so far. So

we going with next This is like the power thirst

commercials My third choice pulls back another

hood. It's another man in a very nicely put together

suit. He looks to be like his hair is receding

a little bit and the man speaks with a little

bit of a British accent, little bits. What is

that Scottish or Irish? I'm not exactly sure.

My third pick is James Bond. Nice So you see

you're going with Connery I'm assuming if you're

gonna pick a bond yeah You can tell by the receding

hairline Well, you know the toupee helps the

toupee the toupee definitely helps so yeah I

think I think I sense a theme with you Greg,

but I don't want to steal your thunder So alright

Chuck you have a big pool to choose from I feel

like this guy really feminine or something All

right, Chuck who you going with with your third

round pick It's a lot of good players left, you

know, it's a tough one. I think I think what

I'm gonna do here is I Am gonna go rigs from

lethal weapon nice nice Mel Gibson himself Hmm

So I'm trying to think of like what you guys

are thinking with this so great never guess my

plan funny when you think about the amount of

people we picked and the amount of them that

are actually are on the Expendables so or or

will be in the future. I could see David Hasselhoff

He's the only one that is expendable Yeah, I

mean, there's a lot more people on that team

that are. I've seen the I've seen the recent

one and there's a lot of people on that team

that a lot of the like the new stars, they try

to get into it like Ken Lutz or whatever his

name is. Let's stop trying to make him into an

action star. That's not going to happen. I heard

that Hercules movie bombed. Yeah. Yeah, the dude

is like, yeah, he's big and like stop it He's

yeah, you're not making him. He is the charisma

of a wet paper bag like He was solely created

to make Sam Worthington seem charismatic. So

But anyways But no Martin Riggs great pick so

he might be too old for this shit. So I don't

know though Well, I know that's not his line,

but but interesting interesting funny i almost

went with a character that's related to that

but i chose not to that would be kind of interesting

but with my third pick and i don't know if this

is action hero draft i feel there's no consistency

with this So I'm this is coming from a movie.

I don't think you guys are that much into but

it really fits into the theme I'm gonna be going

with I'm a big John Carpenter fan. Well, I like

a lot of his films and He's come up with a lot

a lot of them have been remade This one even

had a sequel to it and this character though

You may not know him has had huge influences

on a lot of people the character is of course

snake plissken played by the infamous Kurt Russell

so For those that don't know, he's from the movie

Escape from New York and Escape for L .A., which

is a film we try to forget existed. But yeah,

he's kind of a badass. He's got an eye patch.

Really, the middle gear, solid guy. I think he's

very much geared toward a lot of this character.

Iconic character when it comes to, like, your

anti -heroes. He's a character that, you know,

he's really a bad guy, but there's some goodness

in there, too, so, you know. Gotta love Snake.

I do enjoy some Kurt Russell. He's one of my

favorite actors, definitely. Kurt Russell. Again,

another guy who's not on the Expendables. But

I think he definitely should be. I could see

that. He could be a great addition to that. Yeah,

definitely. The dude's still in shape for his

age. I mean, he looks not that much different

than he did in the 80s. So kudos to him. All

right, Greg. You got two more picks left. You

got James Bond. You got Frank Martin. You've

got David Hasselhoff. One of these is not like

the other. Who are you going with with your fourth

round? That's David Hasselhoff. I didn't pick

David Hasselhoff. I can't think of his. What's

his real name? Michael Knight? Yeah, that's his

real name, Michael Knight. So who is your fourth

round choice in the action hero draft? Action

hero draft. My fourth pick is Frank Bullitt.

Ooh, you're going old school? That's right, I'm

going old school, bitch. Now do you want him

or his car? Well, he can just steal whatever

car he wants. That Korean Mustang was pretty

sweet, too. Yeah. That was a totally totally

did not agree with First off I have a Camaro

myself, so I'm I'm more of a Chevy guy I do like

those older Mustangs like that. I didn't care

for the the color green on it, so didn't like

the booger green yeah i'm not a fan i i don't

like green on cars that much and especially that

color green doesn't do much for me interesting

Wow, I'm glad from I'm glad Steve McQueen got

got some plan here. The guy is when people talk

about action stars He's one that kind of gets

left off since he's a little bit more old -school

But you know that guy great escape is one of

the greatest movies ever I highly recommend people

check out the great escape with Steve McQueen

Yeah, definitely the guy was like the epitome

of coldness for such a long time. So Alright

Chuck moving on to you Who are you going with

you so far have John Rambo you have Martin Riggs

you have? Someone else that I'm forgetting John

McLean John McLean jeez of all you bring how

can you forget him Dan? I know you got a lot

of big hitters here, so a lot of John's as well,

so My movie is the John five And Martin Riggs

you will end up in the John I'll go with one

here that you probably won't recognize the name.

You probably you know won't know who this guy

is and that is Chance Bordreau I Do not is that

from undisputed? No, it is not that is in fact

the character played by Jean -Claude van Damme

in Hard Target That's right. It's the guy that

caught the snake with his hand and punch Question

like when you when you draft him, do you have

to draft his mullet separately or they come as

a package? It comes with it. It's like a signing

bonus kind of very nice. There was one of the

first I think Movies directed by American movies

directed by John Woo. I could get that wrong

and I'll be okay Yeah, that my movie snob card

is not it's not working right now, but but to

me anybody that can Grab a snake and then punch

it with their other hand And kill it, you know,

you gotta have a guy like that on your team.

You know what I mean? It's it's just a it's it's

an invaluable skill You never know when it when

you're gonna need it Yeah, definitely definitely

for my next draft pick. I'm actually going to

be traveling to a far out land That's not in

the United States doing some foreign exchange

here and I'm going with I don't know if this

is a guy you guys are familiar with you might

be he's in his movies are pretty popular now,

but He has a creepier I did honestly didn't know

who did what movie to choose because like he's

the same actor in every movie really because

he's not a great actor But he does a lot of amazing

stunts and has a lot of great action And that

is Tony Ja and I'm gonna go with his character

from the protector. He's kind of a Thai martial

artist who Is if you just YouTube some of his

clips and see what he can do it is crazy like

with no You know, he does all of his own stunts

like they really push the boundaries with action

He hasn't done a lot of great things recently

But you know and the protector was kind of the

one that broke him out to the mainstream at least

in America. So Tony jaw his character in the

protector is called calm Can y 'all I don't know.

Okay. Hey, I am but it doesn't matter. It's Tony

John. So He's an oppressive specimen. I would

say the least so Very nice. All right. We are

we're already at the last pick of the draft or

the last round of the draft of the action hero

draft Wow, that's just going all over the place

All right, Greg. You're you got one last pick

And it is an epic pick Dan for I am picking Memphis

Reigns who was classically played by Nick Cage

Yeah, it's an action movie you got to have a

little bit Nick Cage in there again a guy who

almost was in the Expendables, but just missed

the cut so Interesting interesting he that was

the character from gone in 60 seconds. Yes. It

is it is indeed I think I think I see a theme

in your in your picks there greg, but very nice.

Very nice. You should be able to I'm honestly

surprised you passed up, uh his character from

con air. I mean with that accent. I mean, poof

Well, maybe you resist maybe you can pick him

great uh chuck and then him and John Clan Van

Damme from Hard Target can have a mullet off

and see who can win. And they would be using

Conair hair dryers. I should have picked a team

of all Nicolas Cage characters. There would be

three people in the audience to see that movie.

Three Nicolas Cage and there's like two kids.

Where all the dialogue is either whispered or

screamed. Alright, so it is up to you. What is

your last pick? Action! Jesus Christ, I shrunk

a little bit there. I peed a little. Boy, tough

pick. So many people left. Oh boy. You know what?

Gonna be honest here. I kind of forgot who the

hell I was gonna pick You just pulled in your

chats Ah Yes, someone you mentioned before Dan,

but it's a different character of his and that

is of course Lieutenant Gabriel cash from tango

and cash Played by Kurt Russell. Nice. Nice.

Nice. Nice. Nice One of the best movie vehicles

ever is in that movie. So I know that's so cool

Very nice. Very nice All right, my last pick

since I'm already out of state I'll think I'll

stay there and I talked about this movie not

too long ago or at least a second version of

it and Now this character is in two films and

again around the same area as Tony Ja, and that

is from the movies The Raid and The Redemption

and The Raid 2, and I'm gonna go with the character

Rama. Again, a foreign film called, if you have

not seen The Raid Redemption, you need to check

that out. Again, when you guys come down, you

will be watching that, I think. I think you'll

enjoy it a great deal. Another martial artist,

he's a police officer as well, to give you some

background. If you've never seen The Raid, the

basic premise of The Raid is just that he goes

into this building that's run by a drug lord

to try to overtake it to kind of pay the guy

back from i think killing his partner or something

like that so very experienced fighter guy who

plays him was a infamous martial artist professional

martial artist and he also has a great ability

from being a cop so yeah he's a badass and he's

one of those like one -man armies so and also

again another very resourceful character so that

that picks up all of our characters so just kind

of round out 2014 it sounds like I'm taking a

shirt nice. Hopefully it's white But to recap

my characters I picked with my first round Jason

Bourne and then I went with snake plissken I'm

sorry, then I went with Jack Bauer snake plissken

Tony jaw and then Rama from the raid to and the

raid Greg you want to run us down your characters?

I picked Frank Martin from the Transporter series.

I picked Michael Knight from Knight Rider. Then

third, who did I pick third? Third was James

Bond. Fourth, that was the Sean Connery James

Bond. Fourth was Frank Bullitt from the Bullitt

movie, played by Stephen Queen. And then fifth

was Nick Cage as Memphis Rain. And then lastly,

Chuck. My team consists of John Rambeau, John

McLean, and then I went with Martin Riggs from

Lethal Weapon, Chance Bourdreau from Hard Target,

and Lieutenant Gabriel Cash from Tango and Cash.

Very nice, very nice. All right, Greg, so we

have, I can kind of sense a theme with all your

characters. So I'm curious where you're going.

You have all these characters in a dark warehouse

wearing black robes, revealed themselves and

now we know who all they are. So what is your

movie going to be about and what's it called?

Well, I'm going to call it The Delivery Men.

Not anything to do with that horrible Vince Vaughn

movie. They've all been pregnant. We're actually

gonna go find Vince Vaughn and pay him back for

making that movie But it's essentially taking

like the whole plot to a transporter movie where

they're going to be transporting nuclear devices

across this country, but they're all being kind

of held hostage blackmail situation and they're

doing all of this for some kind of terrorist

organization and so they have to make it to certain

places in time and they've all got their cars

and vehicles and they have to transport all these

nukes across the country. Are we doing a director?

I didn't but if you have one go ahead. For the

director, I'm gonna pull off something that's

gonna make Dan regret telling me that I could

get a director. I'm gonna put Clint Eastwood

in there so he can make a special appearance.

Ooh, ooh, smart move. Right? So it's like I got

an extra character in there. Yeah, is he gonna

have the Gran Torino from Gran Torino? Maybe,

or Dirty Harry can maybe pop in or something.

Yeah, you always like it when Dirty Harry pops

in. That's right. Sorry. I apologize. All right.

So much worse. Yes. In this podcast. Like action

hero draft. It's Dan's choice. All right, Chuck.

So I'm actually really curious. I really don't

know where you're going with some of your characters.

So who you are. I'm actually kind of surprised.

Some people you didn't pick. I'm like, oh, I'm

not going to put this one on here because Chuck's

going to pick it. But you didn't. So what are

your thoughts and what is your movie going to

be? Let me guess you thought I was gonna take

blade I thought about blade also thought about

Liam Neeson from taken. Okay. Yeah, so I well

I tried to go with Those of the older Like so

I guess sort of the 80s action film genre because

I fit into my story Which is super corny. So

don't laugh Just laughed. Sorry Maybe i'll read

my little tagline here then maybe that'll uh

well it's longer than tagline but it's a little

description but let's see if i could do my best

uh don lafontaine voice here and who else a teenage

boy and his father meet all of their favorite

action stars at a pop culture convention when

the son is kidnapped for his witnessing a murder

the week before the father turns to the only

ones that can help him his favorite five action

stars With their sense of responsibility and

a chance to prove themselves real heroes the

five unite to form a team of unstoppable ass

-kicking heroes and My movie will be called heroes

are made heroes are made I guess It's not too

corny I can see that work I can actually see

that being a movie. Yeah, I just thought it it's

kind of I don't know. It's going to be an action

movie, but it's going to be kind of like a cool,

like endearing movie too. Cause it's like, you

know, the dad gets a chance to be with his favorite

action stars from when he was growing up and

they like, they actually help him out to kind

of find his son. And you know, the, the action

heroes that they've only ever been like they

they've made movies and they've lived in the

persona of their character. But they've never

been an actual hero before, so they kind of,

you know, take this chance to be a real hero

and learn a little bit about themselves too,

and you know, kick some ass in the process. They

get to grow along with kick -ass. Yeah. Very

nice, very nice. Alright, so now it's up to me.

Action Hero Draft 2014. So, my theme, actually,

I was recently watching The Purge Anarchy and...

It's a movie. I think that has a lot of potential,

but it just it didn't work completely so that

kind of inspired my idea My guess it's rather

simple, but I think it works and the idea is

with the purge if you don't know it's like 12

hours. There's no law whatsoever people kind

of take the run of the city, so I'm gonna kind

of Take that idea and do it better because that's

what we do here so basically in North Korea there

has been a revolution and Kim Jong -un has been

dethroned with a rebel leader. Unfortunately,

that rebel leader is even crazier than that of

the person he replaced, and he is threatening

to destroy America and all of its allies. So

basically, the entire country of North Korea

has come under chaos. There's no law, no order,

and the only thing people that can stop them

are these Small team of agents because if he

detects anyone within the country the bombs are

going off. So a team of Special specialized warriors.

That's why I went with a couple foreign actors

with Rama and Tony Jaa teaming up with Jason

Bourne snake Plissken and of course Jack Bauer

and Jack Bauer and snake Plissken have a lot

of history Getting things done in a day And that's

all they have is a day to stop the World War

three from happening. So the title of the movie

will be called Hell Razors and it's hell. And

then Rager spelled R -A -Z -E -R -S. And if you

want to notice what that word means, it's actually

razors in the term of destroying. So the idea

is little play on words there where it's, you

know, destroying hell from happening. So plus

it's got a Z in it. So it makes it more badass.

Exactly. Exactly. It's a real word It's a badass

letter it is a badass letter it's in so and it's

like Z is like the mature version of acts but

Imagine that version of Sesame Street where they

do They're all wearing bandanas they have all

either joined up with the bloods Yeah Anyway,

so yeah, so that's the idea is that they you

know your basic plot I think but I think the

cool thing was just having these different random

characters that are very resourceful They're

gonna be dropped into this area that have no

one backup They just have to rely on themselves

to stop World War three of them occurring. So

That's nice. That's my basic movie. So we have

hell raisers we have heroes are made and we have

delivery men, so we'll be putting a pole up there

and Vote on what movie you'd rather go see. So

I didn't pick a director, but I'm thinking John

Carpenter would be my director, the guy who made

Escape from New York because it's around the

same lines. So All right, so that is the end

of the first official action hero I'm just gonna

hear a way for Greg to be like doing that all

day tomorrow and his workers be like, what is

going on with Greg? He's gone crazy. It's fine.

I could torture the chick that works in my office

because she's pain in the ass. All right. So

we're going to take a quick break and we come

back. We're going to have our. I just died a

little inside. But none of that, you know our

movies we're gonna actually do a little bit of

a thing here Since we're inspired by the Expendables,

let's think about different Different actors

that we think we could see in future Expendables

movies that have not been there yet Chuck are

there anybody you can think of that have not

been in an Expendables film that you feel like

deserves to be there Yeah, no one that we mentioned

earlier and that's Kurt Russell. I Think he had

a lot of great action movies You look at like

Tango and Cash, Big Trouble in Little China.

And I think the airplane one was that the executive

decision or something like that. That one's actually

pretty cool. I like that movie a lot. But yeah,

he did. He did some pretty cool action movies.

Even the Stargate movie I thought was pretty

cool with the hair. Yeah. Yeah. He had some pretty

awesome hair in that movie. Yeah, he's definitely

one of them. I would have liked to seen. Steven

Seagal in there at one point. I know that didn't

really work out. I don't know if that's because

of his Rivalry with Van Damme or not, but or

that apparently he's a gigantic asshole. So that

could also be Yeah, yeah, although there's arguments

that both of them are so yeah Yeah, exactly Honestly

a huge one for me would be Liam Neeson nice.

I know he he didn't spend he didn't really cut

his teeth on action movies, so to speak, early

on his career. But it seems like as of late,

he's really like, you know, kind of taking more

of those roles and he's kind of become like a

this pop culture phenomenon right now. Everybody's

kind of has like a cult following with this guy.

So he would have been really cool in there. And

I think, well, I was really happy they got Wesley

Snipes in there for for this third one. I guess

another one would be like. That guy that I talked

about from that undisputed two movie. Yeah, we

played Yuri Boyko and that is Scott Atkins. He's

done like a ton of martial arts movies, some

of them where he's been an actor and some of

them where he's been a stunt man. But the guy

is like super badass at martial arts and does

like crazy stunts and stuff like that. He's a

pretty good actor, too. I think he would fit

well in those movies since acting is kind of

the secondary thing in that movie. But. And then

maybe the other one I would say is Michael J.

White. Yeah. Who is in a lot of stuff. He was

in one of the Universal Soldier movies with Van

Damme. Of course, played Spawn and Black Dynamite

and he played Mike Tyson in the movie Tyson.

A couple of other things, but. Nice. Chuck. You're

Chuck. Greg, is there anybody that comes to your

mind or anyone that you agree with Chuck on?

Well, I think Chuck, of course, has a pretty

great list going there. The one I'm thinking

of, which I did have in my picks, was Nick Cage.

He's worked on a lot of action movies, and he's

definitely a cult favorite among fans. So I'd

like to see Nick Cage, other than that, having

trouble thinking of another actor. Maybe Jennifer

Lawrence would be really good at getting more

ladies into the role. I think the UFC fighter

Rhonda Rousey is is in this one, I believe. Yeah,

she's not. She's awful. So just we got to stop

this idea that that all MMA fighters are going

to be good actors because it's not the case.

Well, how was what's her name? Gina Corona. Yeah,

she's good in haywire Okay, she's not good in

this movie that came out this year called in

the blood Which is one of the worst movies i've

seen this year But I mean with you haywire she

had stephen soldeberg as a director So if she

is a good director that knows how to would be

able to use her maybe but She wasn't very good

in fast things. She was in the last fast movie

She's just mean I think to use like mma action

like that that type of fighting doesn't really

it's not very cinematic It's not really all that

interesting to watch in a movie setting Unlike

martial arts, which I think has more to it You

can really amp it up and it's fun to watch on

screen MMA is a lot of like, you know ground

and pound which is not that exciting to watch

in a movie all the time Yeah, it's just like

oh But some people that come to my mind or I

mean there should just be an expendables and

fast and furious crossover You know bring in

like Vin Diesel and the rock. Oh, yeah, absolutely

the rock Also thinking some of some smaller actors

like Ray Park, you know, the guy who was Darth

Maul. Oh, okay. You missed out on that one. Yeah.

Also this guy called David Bell. He is in District

B 13, which is like he's the one of the creators

of parkour parkour parkour. But again, he's more

of a stunt guy and a great actor. But if he's

in there with Scott Atkins, they could have a

lot of cool action sequences and and also Jackie

Chan. I mean, oh, yeah. How did I forget him?

one of the biggest action icons of all time.

I mean, his movies and he's up there in age,

but I know they have Jet Li, but he ruled action

for such a long time. So a couple of other ones

I would throw in just for fun. You know, maybe

like Matt Damon because of the Bourne stuff,

Kiefer Sutherland, possibly because of the worst

of that has such a huge following. Look at I

mean, this this is one that never could have

happened, but it would have been nice. Unfortunately

because he had already passed away, but maybe

Patrick Swayze. Yeah would have been pretty cool

Look at even you know, somebody like Angelina

Jolie Possibly maybe yeah. Oh good one. Sorry

Sam Elliott Nice. Oh, yeah, very cool. Yeah,

that could work That had something that's up

my mind. So Oh Ving Rhames like the guy that

dude is like I just see him fight Terry Crews

Big big dudes. So I think we have enough through

like expendables 10. Yeah, it'll be like the

end of 22 jump Street What's like all the end

credits with all the crazy and crazier concepts?

So yeah All we're saying is there they could

there's plenty of room and I keep seeing in the

trailers for expendables through that It's like

supposed to be the last one. I have a feeling

that's not the case. So yeah, there's too many

Like we just named there's too many great actors

left on the table that they can put in this thing

Yeah, and I think a lot of the new additions

are for the law or well some of the new old additions

like Harrison Ford and Antonio Panderas and Wesley

Snipes are some of the best ones i've had so

far so oh nice So I'd love to I'd love to see

them again and another i'm actually yeah i'm

actually a big Wesley Snipes fan. I I didn't

pick him on my my Action hero draft, but I do

like a lot of his stuff. I think he had some

weaker movies like He didn't have the luxury

of those big box office hits like some of the

other guys, but yeah He had some good done like

passenger 57 or whatever. Is that the right number?

I forget but he's got US Marshals, which is you

know Demolition man true listen man. Oh, man.

There's a movie, you know, it could be an expendable

Rob Schneider. There you go Murder death kill

Craig uses the three seashells I don't know how

to use the three seashells I'm right there with

John Spartan I'm guessing it's a lot of scooping.

I don't know. There's actually I've seen on the

Internet. They have some different people talking

about their different theories about how the

three seashells are used. What a world we live

in. How is that a thing? Actually, how is that

a thing? Not on our podcast. We should have came

up with that first. By the way, all the ones

that I have heard do not sound sanitary at all.

I think that I'll bring the end of the action

hero draft and our discussion. So we're going

to take a quick break. And when we come back,

we'll be finishing the episode like we always

do with a letter and our outro. So we will see

in a bit. Returning for its second year is Grand

you doing trying to make our spot sound more

exciting by adding explosions yeah i'm pretty

sure you're gonna get the point across with sound

on iTunes or at simplisticreviews .blogspot .com.

I'm sure your insurance company will cover that.

No, they won't. No, they probably won't. All

right, and welcome back. And we like to end each

episode with a letter. And sometimes it's funny.

Sometimes it's, you know, it's a little bit things

we like to do. We do the unknown stuff. We do

like to have a good time. But unfortunately,

sometimes bad things happen. And recently a bad

thing happened when a legendary comedian and

actor Robin Williams unexpectedly passed away

and in response to that I have written a little

bit of a letter and It's also on geek cast radio

.com. You see we don't post these but I felt

in this case It was it was warranted. So if you

go to cast radio, you can also read the actual

physical version of this. But anyways Here it

goes Well, the world just got a lot less funny

Celebrity deaths are not something that typically

hit me beyond the apathetic, oh, that's sad.

There is something about getting upset about

someone I never met that makes me feel odd. The

passing of Robin Williams feels different. Perhaps

it's how sudden it has happened. Maybe it's how

it ended. Whatever the reason, I keep wishing

this is all some sick joke that we'll eventually

laugh at. The man who has made us laugh for generations

with his hypersonic panache is no longer with

us. Ever since I've been cognitive of my surroundings,

Robin Williams has been a comedic and dramatic

source of entertainment. He's been the world's

funny uncle that immediately lit up a room with

his presence. As a child, he's made me laugh

as a genie of Aladdin, as everyone's favorite

babysitter in Mrs. Doubtfire, and the literal

big kid in Jack. As an adult, I've come to appreciate

his dramatic ability even more through movies

like Dead Pillow Society, Good Will Hunting,

and the highly underrated World's Greatest Dad.

The guy could literally do it all, make you laugh

and cry within the same movie, during the same

scene. A showman in every sense of the word.

Certain actors you can automatically associate

with certain properties. With Williams I find

it impossible to pick one, two, or even a handful.

He took chances, he took risks, and sometimes

they paid off and sometimes they didn't. I never

had the pleasure of meeting the man, yet I feel

like I have. He had that warming soul that made

even the most socially awkward person feel like

they had a rightful place in the room. There

is much to celebrate. There is much to mourn.

There's also much to learn from this tragedy.

Warburn Williams was a name everyone knew. Everyone

could pick something he did that they loved.

Unquestionably one of the most successful people

in his field ever. Even with all that success,

fame, and glory, something was missing. Williams

has been very open with his struggles over the

years. Drugs, alcohol, and depression were some

of the unrelenting demons that he was battling

against. There is perhaps no greater personal

tragedy than a man who could bring so much joy

to so many that could not find that same joy

for himself. We live in a world where people

will do just about anything for fame, in hopes

it will bring them what they seek. Let Robin

Williams serve as a reminder of how futile fame,

glory, and riches can be when happiness is nonexistent,

and how depression cannot be beaten through material

things and can affect anyone at any time. They

say laughter is the best medicine. As a non -practicing

doctor without an MD, I cannot verify that statement,

I can't say laughter is a gift. A gift to have

and a gift to give. Robert Williams gave that

gift for generations and generations to come.

I just hope he can find that gift of peace he

so beautifully deserves. Good night, Mr. Williams.

You will surely be missed. Very well said. I

actually found out that he passed away at work

and it was just one of those things where it's

like, oh, that's not true. It's just one of those

rumors. And then that's what I thought. Yeah.

Yeah. And you kind of find out it is true. And

then it's like, darn. I ended up like thinking

that and then I turned on. like cnn to see i'm

like oh it'll definitely be on there and i was

on the bottom of the screen i'm like oh shit

yeah that's it's quite it's just depressing you

know yeah and i i i did read your your ode this

morning when you put it up and it echoed like

a lot of the same things i was thinking too like

he he just had that that personality of a funny

uncle that you kind of feel like you knew and

just the irony of his you know situation and

It's just crazy. But it just goes to show you

that fame and fortune cannot buy you happiness

at all. You know, if you don't have the family

and friends there and stuff to support you. Definitely,

definitely. I mean, the guy, he like I mentioned

in the letter that he's been really open with

stuff he struggled with. And it's just sad, you

know, it's like he had kids, too, which is even

sadder. I mean, they're grown, they're adults,

but still, I doubt it hurts any less. So just,

you know. He's got a few for movies coming out,

but it's just which one of those things it's

like we lost philip seymour hoffman in And what

robin williams said things we shouldn't have

but you know, yeah, it's just kind of sucks but

And like I said like somebody does usually don't

bother me I mean i'll get upset or not or I won't

you know, i'm like, oh that's sad But I don't

know something it just seems Maybe since it's

like, you know, he's been such a huge part in

different ways that it seems like a little bit

different It's like this just doesn't seem real.

It's like so surreal Yeah, I kind of felt that

way too. And to me, like, I mean, he's definitely

one of my favorite comedians. And I know we even

kind of considered him for our Mount Rushmore

of comedians way back when in one of our episodes.

But to me, like my favorite of his, like his

crowning achievement in my book was the Mrs.

Downfire. I absolutely love that movie. Yeah.

And I mean, I think when I think I mean there's

a lot of things to think about but obviously

like the Jeannie in Aladdin I mean, I love I

know Chuck you weren't picking the Disney but

that Aladdin was a movie I watched on the loop

so that might have been my first introduction

and into him and Great and a lot of dramatic

stuff like, you know one out of Frodo good about

hunting He's I think that's the first time I

saw him and I'm like, oh wow, the dude is a it's

a legit actor too. So Yeah Yeah, very multi -talented

and actually he had like a A one -man show that

was on hbo a few years ago. That was pretty good,

too so the guy was a ball of energy and I was

actually I was reading a lot of stuff on twitter

and um kamil naljani, I can't say his name kamil

naljiani Yeah, you mentioned that like he came

into like one of their stand -up shows and it's

like they're stand -up shows in the back of a

comic book shop so he would he would normally

randomly show up to different comic shows and

just have a good time and not like he would he

get paid anything just to you like to make people

laugh so bring things down on a sour note i apologize

but you know i felt like you have to talk about

it it's it might be old news by the time this

comes out but there's a lot there to celebrate

like i mentioned so go out and watch some good

some good movies if you have not seen world greatest

dad it's actually directed by bobcat goldway

it's a really great film another one that it's

not really funny it's very it's more depressing

but it shows you like how great of an actor williams

is so Liked one of his more creepier movies,

too. I forget the name of it right now when our

photo. Yes. Thank you That's exactly the one

that one is so well done and it's so creepy and

you do not expect him in a role like that But

it was just so good. Yeah, it's also pretty good

in insomnia, which is directed by Christopher

Nolan, which is a movie. I think that's a little

underrated But yeah, he did the guy could do

a lot. He was dramatic. He could be hilarious.

He could be You know, he did a lot of voice acting,

you know, he was great on whose line is it? Anyway,

he'd done that so It's also fun to watch him

on TV interviews because I don't think they could

actually contain the man No, no, he could not

be here's just a book like the dude just did

not stop but It's too bad. It's too bad But I

think that will bring it to the end of this episode

Wow. I had a book here and I just slammed them.

Oh! It was a bad choice. I probably could not

have done that. There is probably better choices.

Books are a bad choice. Making that book out

of milk was not a good idea. And if your milk

has the consistency of paper, probably not a

good idea to drink it. I made that mistake the

one time where I grabbed the wrong milk carton

and I put it in a bowl of cereal. And I forgot

it was the out of date one that I needed to throw

away. I had one to throw away, I had one to pour,

and I poured it. backfired and I threw the one

away that I should use and I used the one I should

have thrown away. It was not a good time. I was

like, oh god, luckily it was one of these spoons

though, but it was not good.
