About this Episode

Greg, Chuck, and Dan play a new game ranking the rise and fall of various geek-culture properties. They debate whether DC's Rebirth initiative and new Hanna-Barbera comics are a buy or sell, discuss Star Wars Episode VII's massive success and whether Episode VIII can maintain momentum, evaluate the growing CW superhero TV universe and its crossover potential, and weigh the X-Men's prospects in both film and comics as Marvel pivots toward the Inhumans. Along the way they share thoughts on Old Man Logan #1 and Chuck reviews the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Special Edition Series Collection Blu-ray box set.

Hey, this is Steve blue and you are listening

to the geek cast radio network You are now on

the inside of what I like to call the circle

of trust You're all connected in a great circle

of life You know something Bert I think you and

I are going in circles It's like we're going

in circles. The circuit is now complete. When

I left you, I was but the learner. Now I am the

master. Because it's a circle. Yeah, we heard

about the circle. Yeah, that's what a million

would change. Hi, this is Greg. This is Chuck.

And this is Dan in New York, talking in circles,

brought to you by the Keepcast Radio Network.

We're gonna look across the world of geekdom

to decide are things on the rise or are things

falling? But before we get to all that how's

the week been going for you guys? My week has

been going terribly I don't think I haven't talked

to you guys a little bit, but actually I was

really really sick for like almost two weeks

Did you give it to me cuz I feel like shit tonight

I called off from work today. I don't know. Can

Skype carry? Yes, it can I'm pretty sure it does

Actually, I'm just starting to get get over it

right now and starting to feel really good. But

um, I actually was like on the verge of having

pneumonia Yeah, it was it was pretty bad the

one day I went to work and You know, I felt pretty

good when I woke up and about two hours into

work, I just started feeling like complete garbage,

like getting the chills and everything, just

that general, like, you know, achy, fatigue feeling

kind of over your whole body. And it's just started

getting worse as the morning went on. And I finished

up some work and I told my boss, I'm like, I

have to go home. Like, something's not right.

You know, so I go home and like I. I slept for

like hours and, uh, I took my temperature. It

was like 102 or something like that. Yeah. Yeah.

I was having like, I was having like freaky dreams

and stuff. Like it was really messed up. Like

this fever was messed up. So I stayed home the

next couple of days from work and, uh, I started

feeling better, but I had this cough that developed

and it, it was getting pretty bad. It wasn't

really getting better. And I thought I was getting

better for the one day. But then it went back

to kind of getting worse. I finally ended up

going to the doctor and he's like, he's like,

yeah, you might have pneumonia. Wow. Like, what

the hell? Like, seriously? Have you been playing

Oregon Trail recently? Like, no. Yeah, really?

I didn't try to cross any river. He said, I'm

not saying you do, but it could be like they

call it acute pneumonia, which is. Oh, yeah.

Yeah, it's ugly, you know. No, it's like just

like one kind of small spot in your lung or whatever.

But he gave me some signs to watch out for, like

over the over this past weekend, like if things

get worse and you have some pain breathing and

you're out of breath and. He gave me this medicine.

He said, but if you know if the fever persists

and the coughing gets worse and stuff He's like

basically like go to the hospital and get an

x -ray and stuff But thankfully none of that

happened He gave me this medicine and it worked

wonders for me literally after the first dose

like the next morning I felt amazing and I started

getting better after that, but it was it was

a rough It was a rough week and a half. It was

not fun. I'll tell you that Oh, wow. See what

happens. We don't podcast. You get sick. I know

it's a natural. It's like they say a podcast

a day keeps the doctor way that the good thing

is I did get to watch some stuff and catch up

on things that I've been wanting to see. So that's

that's a good thing. Nice, nice. Greg, hopefully

it does not sound things are much better for

you. No, I had to take off work today because

I I still feel like shit, to be quite honest.

yeah mine's not hasn't been quite as severe as

Chuck's I don't think and I hope it doesn't develop

into more than what it is it's mostly just a

cold it's really got me drained well don't wait

so long to go to the doctor that's what I learned

oh my god anytime I like the last time I had

a cold I went to go see the doctor and I thought

it was really bad I had like fevers and stuff

like during the night and it was just really

shitty and I went to see the doctor and he's

like yeah here take this uh over -the -counter

stuff uh it's like uh like betadryl or something

and that was it I paid all that money for all

that stuff and it was nothing big and that's

what that's what usually happens to me I they're

like oh we can't do anything with this just take

some over -the -counter stuff and it's like I

just waste a whole bunch of money so like I kind

of I'm gonna wait on this one Wow, well, my week

is not, well, I actually kind of have a crazy

week. Last time we talked, we actually were having

an oncoming snowstorm and it was actually a snowstorm

that lived up to the height. We ended up getting

30 inches of snow. The insane part though was

the aftermath of that and realizing that where

I live is not capable of handling that much snow

for many reasons. Let's set this up. So I live

in an apartment complex and there are, in order

to, properly shovel you kind of have to get this

there's within your 30 inches of snow you kind

of have to find a place for it so you have to

pick up the snow really walk it over to the side

where there is like a grass and yard and do it

that way so you can so it takes a very long time

to shovel because you have to literally pick

up this wet and heavy snow walk it over so it's

a long process or whatever so I did that I Shoveled

out my car the the one night in my wife's car,

but my car was still not shoveled out But anyway,

so I ended up kind of being stuck at home for

a couple days on Tuesday though end up leaving

My car got out fine shoveled a great spot Left

went went to work coming home. Someone took my

spot when I came back, which is fine I didn't

like put a chair out for those that don't know

in Baltimore It's an age -old tradition to basically

I guess put chairs out when you shovel a spot

Parkway and I've been here for a while and I've

never really seen it to this extent So every

single parking spot every single one had it had

it had a chair out on it So I got home. I didn't

have a parking spot. So I'm literally in my apartment

complex Driving around for it was about two hours

trying to find a parking spot like shit my gosh

Yeah, two hours and it part of the issue was

People didn't shovel very good because like I

mentioned how to properly shovel a lot of people

didn't do that So they either shoveled by putting

it in between two cars Which doesn't really work

because then what it ended up doing was taking

a two -lane road into a one -lane road Which

is a problem when you are trying to drive around

and there's no way to turn around so like you

ended up having two cars kind of you had to like

back up and try to go backwards because the one

car is leaving, one car is coming in. It was

just a gigantic mess. So a lot of that two hours

was made up of the fact that if you were hoping

another car wasn't coming the opposite way, because

if it meant that one of you had to back up and

where you came and start over again. So that

was that craziness. And also you have those people

who take all their snow and just put it in an

empty spot. So it's like, yeah, you shoveled

out your spot, but all you did was make one less

parking space. How stupid are people? How great

on you. So all that. So I was looking around

for two hours and I was kind of going crazy,

obviously, in this situation, because it's nuts.

And someone took my spot, which is fine. In my

mind, I'm thinking like, you know, there's people

who, you know, like mailman or drivelier man

who need to place the park because you can't

park in the road or three people come around

and do the cleaning and like out for the outside.

So I figured like, well, they need to place the

park or people who weren't there that night and

are coming home like they need. So I, to my mind,

like in my head, being an adult, you just kind

of. clean out your spot and then that's the end

of that story because I don't now own that parking

spot so after two hours I'm like you know what

I gave up I'm like next spot I see that has a

chair I'm moving the chair and I'm parking there

because this is like I'm like enough is enough

you don't own a parking spot because you cleaned

it out well that did not go very well so I legitimately

moved I waited for a very long time legitimately

two hours I'm like okay I'm taking the spot being

a moment of weakness, but whatever. I move the

chair, I park there. Legitimately, I get out

the door. The guy who must've swept that parking

spot comes right behind me and starts screaming

his head off on me. And I... Return the favor

by screaming back yelling at him. Basically my

spot got taken. You don't own a parking spot

You didn't play them. I forget exactly what I

said, but there were some expletives in there

I like I don't remember the last time I've actually

gotten a conversation with someone like of this

nature I was like explaining to him like yeah,

you didn't pave this road either. You don't own

it I get it that it's kind of a jerk move, but

It's the way it's been, it's two hours. But after

just arguing with him, I didn't want to deal

with it. So I'm like, oh, you know what? I'm

going to move. And I, after, I think he tried

to teach me the story of the chicken and the

hen. He's like, well, you get rewarded for your

hard work because I parked, I plowed this spot

out. I'm like, that's not how things work. You

don't get to own a parking spot because you plowed

it out. You know, it's just like. This is a huge

thing going on in Baltimore right now. Well,

it was. Now the snow's all melted. So I just

gave up. I'm like, whatever, take your spot.

So I ended up having to, I parked in the grocery

store, which was, I don't know, it's like two

miles away. I don't really mind the walking.

The issue was it's really dark outside and there's

no, I had to walk on the street because there's

no sidewalk. So that was not, I didn't want to

kind of avoid that. So I ended up just walking,

parking in the grocery store. Walk walking home.

It was like, you know 9 30 10 o 'clock at night

and what really what happened was, you know As

people some reason people don't realize when

you're walking on the street or next to the street

You're supposed to walk against traffic not with

traffic. A lot of people don't realize that so

anytime a car came I would just like jump into

the snow get out of their way because you know,

the road wasn't the greatest and then get back

on so it was it was an adventure, but uh It would

so ended up whatever that ended up happening.

I ended up waking up early the next morning And

I shoveled my one car out and there was a my

neighbor next to me who I helped shovel her spot

out as well I didn't put a chair down. The funny

thing is though the topper of all this I'm Going

back up to my wife's gonna drive me to my car

and she's gonna take her car The person that

took my spot left and then left the chair there

Yeah, so it's like they put a chair there in

the spot that I cleaned out I'm like really That's

happening. So I put it, I went back downstairs.

I got a sign, put it on that chair. And I said,

I cleaned the spot out, take your chair and put

it on a big pile of snow and drove away. So I

was like, you can't be kidding. You have to be

kidding me. Like I didn't mind that they took

the spot, but it's like, you're going to put

a chair in the spot that I cleaned up. I'm like,

that is, that is amazing. So what happened when

you got home? Was it gone? Actually, it was gone

very quickly because Harold, my wife, She dropped

me off and I got my car. She came right back

home and was already gone. But within that 15,

20 minutes. So, yeah, so I don't know if that

that person went out and was coming back real

quick, but it's like, yes, they got the message.

Like, you can't be serious. It's like you can't

put a chair out on a spot that that was it. So

it was just it was a fun night. I'm just like,

it was insane. It was just like, I don't want

to deal with people that own parks. You probably

wanted to turn in the. The snow shoveling guy

from home alone and start whacking people with

these I really did. I really did. I just That's

to me is insane. It's just like Marylanders when

it comes to snow or just I don't know I shoveled

out a parking spot and like congratulations That's

what you do because you're an adult and then

you move on with your life But uh the good thing

though the good thing about all this being getting

all the snow I was stuck in home for I don't

know about three four days or so Within that

time, I read a lot of comics and I know one comic

that I read and Greg, I know you read was Old

Man Logan number one. Yes, sir. So for those

that don't know, Marvel rebooted and hopefully

within this podcast did not reboot again. They

do that. I guess I guess it's not technically

a reboot. It's more of a shuffling. And I don't

know. It's it's weird what they're doing. But

maybe we can sign up for the text alerts for

like whatever they're rebooting. It would be

helpful. It would be helpful. Damn it. So yes,

so within this new universe, Old Man Logan is

now in the normal, I guess it's not 616 anymore,

I don't know what it is, but the normal Marvel

universe, so they made Old Man Logan number one,

where the premise of the story is that Old Man

Logan, who is Wolverine, Old Wolverine, from

an alternate universe where... a lot of bad stuff

happened and pretty much villains took over and

he was really the only hero left and because

of what he did he refuses to pop his claws like

he's become this like pacifist yeah this pacifist

and won't kind of show violence but read that

Old Man Logan story by Mark Millar and Dick McNevin

drew it if i'm not mistaken yes great so this

is that character different creative team though

what did you think of Old Man Logan number one?

I thought it was actually really good. You have

to get kind of get through a lot of setup, but

I think the payoff at the end really makes it

great. I'm not a big huge fan of the artwork

going on. I don't know what it is that I don't

like about it. It's just maybe a style that it

just doesn't appease me, but I wasn't a big fan

of that. But the story for me definitely makes

up for it. Wolverine is definitely one of my

favorite characters and Old Man Logan was definitely

one of my favorite. Series when it came out the

only problem I have with it is it's like something

In like I think it's essential x -men or something

like that that one of the the newer x -men Yes,

extraordinary. Sorry. They have him like hanging

out with storm and all these other people down

in fiery hell whatever and they have him there

with that team of x -men so i don't understand

how he's kind of off on his own in this series

so that that's a little confusing for me i guess

i just have to kind of separate it like this

comic is this character doing whatever and then

this comic is this group of characters doing

whatever i can't really focus on but that's that's

the only weird thing to me but i i thought it

was uh really good i'm interested to hear what

you have to think I think it takes place I guess

before the exponent or even aware he comes in

this universe That's the thing with the secret

like this new universe. It's hard to figure out

When different books are taking place because

I think this is supposed to come out a lot earlier,

but got delayed So maybe that's why it seems

weird in the timeline. But uh, yeah, I ended

up really liking it a great deal I don't know

if you read the the miniseries that came out

during secret secret wars. I read the first few

issues I wasn't the biggest fan of that. I wasn't

either It was like he mostly because he ended

up going to like all these different universes.

I was just I found it more confusing than anything.

Yeah, so This so I really liked it opens up with

him kind of getting dropped off in the middle

of time square with all the random people dressed

up as like Sesame Street characters and whatnot

and you see him trying to get his bearings and

I was worried that it was gonna be this Prolonged

thing where it's him trying to figure out where

he is, but I was glad that it was like, okay

He's like, okay, obviously I'm an X -Men. So

I understand time travel because we do this all

the time So I'm I'm here where I'm part in the

world before all the bad stuff happened But I

thought it emotionally it was a pretty pretty

well main issue I liked the story within this

this for a first issue. I thought it did a good

job kind of reintroducing this character Who

he was I love how it's using his past self and

his past stories and not just forgetting all

that I think it also has good potential when

you kind of look at it like he's in a situation

where Where he can stop all the bad things that

were happening from him as we see with this Like

he's kind of going down this list of people that

he wants to kind of get payback with But in doing

so he's also stopping part of his future that

he actually did enjoy like having that family

that he's trying to avenge by Avenging them.

He's stopping them from ever existing. So I think

that there is some dynamics there They can get

into they didn't get into much this issue. Hopefully

they will never I actually really like the art.

I don't know if it's because I'm a sucker I don't

know what you call it. But when you have those

like mini panels inside of a comic that Emphasize

the action like when he's like popping his claws.

There's like a red shadow over his claws I don't

know something about that I don't know if it's

just from it reminds me of the Hawkeye comic

or what have you but I I did like the style but

I do I do agree I could see it not being a style

that works for everyone and especially if you're

like thinking of the old old man Logan story,

which was you know, but Niven art which is very

much more not nearly as stylized as this but

I think if you're a Wolverine fan, this will

be kind of the Wolverine that you know and love,

even though he's, you know, old and gray. But

have you been reading all new Wolverine at all?

Yeah, with Laura Kinney is, yeah, I've been reading

that a little bit, too. It's that's a little

confusing for me as well to know what the hell's

going on. Marvel is skipping around too much

with their storylines and their series, so it's

got me all sorts of confused. Yeah, so I like

that. I tend to try to just focus on, okay, this

is this story being told, let's try not to connect

them because it doesn't make any sense if we

do, but I didn't have much faith in that series

at all, but I ended up liking it at least the

last couple issues, so we'll see how that goes.

Yeah, I like Laura Kinney, X23 is Wolverine,

and I like that character just in general, so.

Very cool. Chuck, I know you were also, within

all your being sickness, you did have something

else you wanted to mention. Yeah, I mentioned

I got to catch up on a lot of things I did catch

up and actually finish man in the high castle

nice Which I'm sure we could probably talk about

another day cuz I don't know if you've seen it

all yet, Dan No, I need to and we can maybe do

a special episode on it because I am maybe this

weekend. Yeah, but very Very impressed. I liked

it a lot. What I really wanted to talk about

was something that I had bought on Amazon, and

I kind of wanted to just do a little quick review

of. And that is the entire collection of Teenage

Mutant Ninja Turtles animated series on DVD.

Nice. Did it come in the party wagon? The turtle

van. Yep. All right. Yeah, it's really cool.

And actually, I'm going to text you guys pictures

of it right now. You can't see it viewer. Na

na na na na na. I'll throw it in the show notes.

So we could, yeah, we could throw some up there.

I might even throw some out on Twitter. But basically

it's it's the turtle van. Pretty much in the

scale of that the old figures came in back in

the 90s, like those little four inch figures

or whatever. It's pretty much in that scale.

The wheels actually turn. Cool. Yeah, that's

pretty sweet. I just got the picture. Yeah. You

can actually play with it if you really wanted

to I've rolled it back and forth a little bit.

I'm not gonna lie Does it does it shoot up caps

but uh sewer caps? No, it doesn't do that literally

only features that the wheels roll but they have

some nice stickers on there you can see in the

pictures they have it kind of looks like they're

all in there driving behind the windshield and

everything and But basically it's I don't know

what you would say probably Maybe nine ten inches

long and basically you take the top off Kind

of comes in half, but you take the top off and

inside are all the discs Like the manhole covers

Well, that would make me upset So basically it

there was ten seasons of this animated series

and I never watched all 10 when I was a kid.

I probably saw the first few seasons and then

I realized that was on for that long. Wow. Yeah,

I didn't realize there was 10 seasons of it.

Like I said, I probably got through like five

when I was a kid and then I probably grew out

of it or something. But this was like normally

for the longest time, I had this in my watch

list on Amazon and it was like it was hovering

right around 100 bucks. And I kept it on there

because that's a decent price. And I'm like,

well, you know, one day it's going to go on sale

and I'm just going to grab it. So I have to be

looking a couple of weeks ago and I see it on

there for 60 bucks. Wow. So I'm like, OK, buy

now. But yeah, it was a really good deal, like

forty dollars below the regular price and everything.

And I was reading like I was reading some reviews

from people that had bought it a couple of years

ago and they paid like four hundred dollars for

this thing. Oh, yeah. which was kind of dumb

by them but actually what had happened was there's

been two different ones of these released I believe

it was in 2013 and then again in 2015 or no I'm

sorry 2012 and 2015 and apparently there were

a lot of problems with the one from 2012 people

were saying there were certain discs that were

skipping and they weren't working properly you

couldn't go to the navigation menu and go to

different episodes and things like that But it

seemed like most of the people that bought the

2015 version were pretty happy with it. And a

couple of people said, you know, when you get

it, just make sure you check the discs and everything.

So I'm like, all right, screw it. I'm doing it.

Like if I have a problem, I'll just send it back

and get my money back or whatever. But I got

it in. You know, I checked the discs and everything

works great. No problems with it. There's actually

23 discs, which is pretty crazy. That's insane.

Yeah, there's like, I don't know, there's just

a handful of episodes on each disc. Like some

of them have more than others. It's kind of funny

how they broke it up. Like there's multiple discs

for each season and stuff. And the weird thing

is people are saying that like the episodes are

not really in chronological order. Like they

are within that season. They're in the correct

season, but they just might not be in the right

order. But I'm like, I really don't care. Like.

I'm watching this for nostalgic reasons, like

I'm not going to turn paper on it or something.

So they really have an ongoing story and I don't

know. That's why I didn't. I figured like these

episodes are kind of more random from what I

remember. So I don't really think it matters

to have like a chronological order. I mean, so

I don't really care about that aspect of it.

And the quality, the picture quality, video quality,

I'll just say it leaves a little bit to be desired.

It's sort of like watching a VHS. Like back the

day and I have a really good blu -ray player.

It does upscaling and everything and it looks

pretty good But you can definitely tell it looks

like the old You know, like if you bought the

old VHS when you're a kid or something you were

watching it I was looking at that and I'm like,

you know what? That's kind of the way I want

it actually if you think about it because it's

just it kind of brings back those memories even

more like it's just More nostalgic you're watching

it. That's how it looked to you back then and

everything. So as I was watching some of the

episodes there when I was sick, I'm like, I really

don't have a problem with this. I think this

is great. Just the way it is. I mean, the sound

quality is good. The music, the dialogue and

everything. It's good. I mean, it's just a tad,

a tad fuzzy. And it's it's really not a big deal

at all. But I think, you know, if you're looking

for something like this, the the Turtles animated

series, it's I think it's a great buy. If you're

like a hardcore fan of that cartoon. It's something

you got to have. Like I said, make sure you check

the discs and stuff when you get it in. Make

sure they work. Make sure the menu screens work

and stuff like that. And, you know, because if

they don't, Amazon's pretty good about taking

stuff back and giving your money back and everything.

So I do have a question looking at this full

this the photo you sent me of it. Like, is it

hard getting them out without because they're

so tightly packed in there? Like, is it hard

getting the discs out? Because it seems they

have to, like, remove everyone. You sound like

a. Scarlett Johansson in the Hail Caesar, which

is like, is it hard squeezing it like that? No,

it's actually really easy. You just kind of,

you know, grab it with your pinky and your thumb

or whatever. And it comes out really, really

easy. There's little slots, like in the bottom,

like for each individual disc, it's like felt

or foam or whatever. It's kind of soft in the

bottom. And there's a thing on top too, for when

you put the top on, but they come out real easy.

They go back in, you know, really easy and everything.

I would just recommend just being really careful

so you don't, you know, rubbing it against the

other disc to scratch it up or something like

that. Just kind of be super careful. I've also

heard of people, you know, I was reading some

of the reviews, people took these out and put

them in their own separate sleeves and everything

and just kind of kept the party wagon like on

the shelf or something. I feel like that's something

I went to. Like I said, I think it's OK if you

are super careful with it. I mean, just don't

go taking them out. rubbing them against each

other and everything and yeah you don't want

to rub them against each other yeah right then

you get scratches and it's all nasty that's nasty

no it's uh it's pretty cool i'd highly recommend

it i think uh i think you guys would enjoy it

if you could find it you know at a decent price

like i did you know keep checking amazon or ebay

or something like that see if you can get a good

deal it's very very cool to kind of go back and

watch those brings back a ton of childhood memories.

They're not streaming anywhere. So it's, you

know, at least at the curtain time. Yeah. I mean,

it's they're tough to find because I remember

seeing some at Target and it was about probably

$10 a season, maybe $12 a season. And I remember

thinking, you know, this is going to be over

100 bucks if I buy all these individually. And

I'd really like to have this party wagon thing.

So I was like, well, I'll just hold out. And

I'm totally glad that I did, because it really

worked out, and I got a good deal on it. So it's

really, really sweet. Awesome. Nice. All right.

Anything else before we take a quick break? All

righty. Well, we're going to take a quick break,

and we're actually going to do some quick research

as we get ready for stock up, stock down. So

we'll see you in a bit. I'm Colin Becker. My

name's Fraser Hinds. Hi, I'm Daphne Ashbrook.

This is Andrew Cartman. Hi. This is Colin Spore.

Hello, I'm Simon Fischerbecker. This is Ian McNeese.

Hi, this is Travis Richie. You listen to the

Radio Network, and our home base, marku42 .net.

Marku42, the meaning of life. All right, and

welcome back. You say we're putting stock up

and stock down. It's pretty simple. What I'll

be doing is giving out a random topic, subject,

item, what have you. Maybe, I don't know any

code for stock, so it'd be funny if I did, but

I really don't. Is it a bull market or a bear

market? Let's think about that for a second.

I can't think of a superhero that I would say

it's more of a Reboot market at the moment a

reboot market at the moment. Is that okay? That

passes I guess I don't know. I'm not good at

stocks either Yeah, I don't know if they reboot

stocks. Maybe they do. Yeah, they do the the

government just pays for it. There you go. There

you go Like they do with everything. Oh GM bailout

Randolph Portimer Yeah, so hopefully hopefully

that you know, maybe that'll happen with us and

they'll help us bail us out But probably not

most likely so but I figure we'll start with

one actually related to a question We got on

one of our previous episodes regarding this happened

kind of in between us recording but DC announced

their rebirth and Still a lot of questions on

what this is going to mean But basically it seems

like that there is going to be a major reshuffling.

Again? Yes. Doesn't seem like it's a universe

reset per se. There's been rumors that it is.

There's been rumors that it's not. But it does

seem some titles are going to be going away.

Some titles are like kind of joining. I think

Batman's gonna be going to being bi -monthly

along with other titles It seems like they're

going to be doing Fewer titles put the titles

that they're doing doing them more often for

some of them I heard there might be there looks

like they're doing a Trinity book. There's a

comic out right now We're super with Wonder Woman

and Superman, but I guess that's becoming twin

Trinity Then there's some other books that are

going away. It's also one that's Superman and

Batman. Yes, I think Bind into the Trinity, I

guess I don't know but there's so there's gonna

be and I know Scott Snyder is leaving so there's

going to be what? He's leaving Batman and think

going to Detective Comics what? Yeah, I know

so and but this Greg Capullo going with him.

Do you know I don't know I do know I think it's

Tom King is taking over for him if I'm not mistaken

Tom King's good. So but also the announced I

don't know if you saw this in addition to that

there coming out with all these crazy new Hanna

Barbera inspired comics. There's going to be

a Scooby -Doo comic that's like Scooby -Doo and

the Apocalypse, which sounds like it's a fake

thing, but it actually is happening. A new Racky

Racers, which is inspired by... Mad Max and there's

actually a one of the guys who worked on Mad

Max helping ready doing it. There's new Johnny

Quest book So they're doing all that and this

rebirth stuff So considering all that the question

that was asked is it stock up for you knowing

that they're kind of Resetting things to get

launching on point. It's a stock up thinking.

Okay I'm actually gonna start reading more DC

now because I need I get I have a good chance

here to start at some number ones and better

Understand it or is it stocked down because it's

just another reboot that is happening yet. Once

again Greg, I guess I'll start with you, because

I know currently you are reading a couple of

DC comics. Yeah, I've been actually reading a

lot more DC than Marvel, I think, at this point.

As long as they're not taking away the titles

I love and switching it up too much, there's

a lot of stuff Manda Conner is involved with

that I really enjoy. Harley Quinn, Starfire.

I think one, do you read Batgirl? Yes, I do read

Batgirl. Do you think they're either, they're

getting ready, no, sorry, they're getting ready.

Black Canary. Oh, damn it. I love that one, too.

I have that as well. I get Black Canary, Batgirl.

She's going to be doing a Birds of Prey book.

And I think that's I don't know if any of this

has been finalized, but these are just the rumors

I was reading. If you go to BleedingCool .com,

they actually have a lot about what's what's

happening. So it's a good spot. Yeah, because

I do love I have been reading Black Canary. I've

been really enjoying that. Plus the artistic

style going on with that book. I love Batgirl.

Batman with Scott Snyder has been really good.

I do read the other titles that come out for

Batman, but I usually wait for graphic novels

on that stuff. I read Grayson, and those are

the big ones. So it doesn't bother me too, too

much. So I'd say stock up a little bit, interested

to see what they're changing in everything, because

at least DC isn't changing every other issue,

what's going on in their universe, kind of. It's

a little bit more steady. So I'll be interested

to see what they're doing, because I think their

storylines and the teams that they have working

on these projects are... really great, so. Interesting.

I was surprised, I thought you'd go the other

way. Chuck, I know you're not reading, I think,

any current or really comics in general, but

do you see, would this at all entice you to get

back into at least picking up a title here and

there? I think a little bit, yeah. I mean, I've

heard a lot of good things, especially about

the new 52 stuff, and I... I understand some

people are upset about this because they were

liking some of the new 52 stuff and and now it's

kind of there's, you know, switching gears a

little bit. But I think DC kind of quietly is

doing some some good stuff right now from what

I'm hearing. So I would be tempted to check it

out. I'd see I'm more of a. Like, don't get me

wrong, I've like thousands of back issues, but

like I'm becoming more of like a trade paperback

guy. Yeah. or hardcover guy. So like I've kind

of lately been waiting till stuff comes out and

then they kind of, you know, release it in a

in a collection. But, you know, I wouldn't be

against checking out, you know, like something

to do with Superman or Flash or Batman or something

like that. Those are probably my big three in

D .C. But I think honestly, I would say stock

up just for the just for the reason that. To

me, it seems like they're sort of ramping up

for the added attention that they're going to

get from all these movies and, you know, TV show

crossovers, which we'll talk about later. And

I think they're anticipating a lot of people

looking into this stuff and wanting to get into

it. So, like you said, you know, putting out

a couple of books a month, like, you know, maybe

biweekly or whatever instead of once a month.

You know, maybe for that reason because they're

expecting, you know sales to go up a little bit

so I say stock up because I think they're gonna

see an uptick in their business with These movies

and they're starting fresh on things so that

people have a nice jumping on point that maybe

get introduced for them Through the movies and

stuff like that. So I think They're kind of syncing

up right now. I think they're kind of doing things

the right way. Hopefully Uncle's stocked down

the reason being the Marvel relaunch that just

happened. It was not nearly I think as successful

as Marvel was hoping I guess it's not necessarily

I don't know what you would want to call it,

but I know I think some people are saying that

In comics that's basically becoming like TV series

now where you know, it's it's no longer This

ongoing thing. It's like you get new seasons

and it restarts But my worry is is DC gonna have

less even less success than Marvel at the moment

I think they even mentioned last year that They

had they're going through a lot. They did the

convergence storyline. They're moving to a new

location So they gave some young talent some

opportunities and that didn't all work out but

the big reason I think I'm saying stopped down

is because a lot of what I like about DC last

year were some of the smaller titles that they

took chances with like Prez and if they're doing

less of those type of titles and they're putting

more of their stock in things like Batman and

Superman and what happens if that series isn't

very good or it's not as good as people hoped

then you have less to choose from because you

only have a certain number of comics and also

it just seems like it's just another reboot when

they just had one so I as a reader I'm kind of

excited because I have recently tried to get

into some DC stuff and I've been kind of hard

because I don't think they're as good as Marvel

when it comes to setting the stage and giving

an idea of where the story is starting off with

but with new number ones that may not be a problem

but But I'm gonna go stock down just because

I feel like some of my favorite titles won't

be coming back. So You know, we'll see how it

goes Next on the list maybe questioning. Why

would this even be a question? It seems like

it automatically would have to be stock up But

Star Wars stock up or stock down stock down maybe

asking why stock down Well recently it was announced

that there was episode 8 is being pushed back

since six months, which wouldn't be that questionable

if the fact that they didn't say it was for rewrites

and many say it was in response to the criticisms

that episode 7 got and when I hear that I think

of Batman or Superman where a lot of that was

apparently changed for similar reasons and we're

kind of seeing how that might turn out so stock

was high as ever when it came to episode 7 Star

Wars could not be more popular is there any chance

With this recent news that it's getting pushed

back in the fact that we're not gonna You know,

we're only gonna get like the side story coming

up with rogue rogue nation Chuck that this could

be stocked down or is it Star Wars? So what are

we what are we talking about? No, I think you

got to go stock up. I mean Everything is so huge

right now like from episode 7 Like I think it

I think it crossed the 2 billion mark if I'm

not mistaken just the other day or last week,

whatever it was but like toys like i'm seeing

toys all over the place like everything people

online like making all these memes you got this

whole branch of this offshoot of kylo ren jokes

and like all this funny stuff going on did you

see the i think we talked about it but the one

with kylo ren is like kelvin and hobs that's

it's pretty yes we have yeah Yeah. I also saw

the SNL one where he's undercover boss. Oh, the

radar technician. That's hilarious. That was

pretty good. Love that. Now I saw like he did

a he did a picture with like this little kid

dressed like that. So it was like it's like young

Matt before he became a radar technician. Like

it's like it's just killing in so many different

directions. But I don't know. I think like people

are disappointed, obviously, that episode is

going to be pushed back. But, you know, we're

going to get Rogue One. I think this December,

right? Yeah, coming out this December. I'm hearing

some rumors about that, about throwing some big

characters in there and having like a big villain

or something in there. So I think they still

get stuff swirling to kind of keep the stock

up and everybody excited. I know people are going

to be skeptical of these one shots at first because

it's like, wait a minute, what is this? It's

not part of the regular, you know, trilogies,

like what's going on here. But I think once Rogue

one comes out. I expect them to do a pretty good

job with it. So I think people kind of be Skeptics

will kind of be silenced. I think and I think

everything will be all the hype will be back

up super high again for episode 8 and You know

the other solo adventures and stuff. So alright

Greg you agree or do you think it's just time

to sell because Simply Star Wars can only go

downhill from here No, I think it definitely

has room to grow and stuff like that. So I'd

definitely say stock up. Definitely for a lot

of the reasons Chuck's saying. Does it worry

you at all knowing that the movie's getting pushed

six months? Does that kind of worry you knowing

that it is? No, because you've had other movies

that have done that too and they've... It's kind

of been for the best like I didn't see the movie

but World War Z they had some kind of issue and

they had to rewrite and Delay it for a while

and that came out to a bunch of acclaims So there's

definitely examples that you could see out there

of people movie Producers and everybody coming

together to make it better after Thinking better

of something or maybe they got a new idea So

I think you have to be optimistic about something

like that that they're this dedicated that they're

holding off to make it as good as they can Do

you think do you think once a trailer comes out

like a? More than a teaser like an official trailer

for rogue one. Do you think that'll kind of get

everybody just super hyped up again? It depends

on how the trailers cut. There's some examples

of where trailers come out and it's like, oh,

this looks awesome, but then they use all the

good stuff at the trailer and then the rest of

the movie kind of falls flat. It's going to be

tough because you're going to have this movie

that it's going to have to, if it's existing

in the New Hope timeline, is it going to feel

like a New Hope movie? Think for a lot of fans.

They'll probably be excited, but I wonder if

general audiences will be like well Where are

all the characters from the last movie? I saw

what is this thing? So that's my worry. It's

just that I think people who love star wars will

be excited but will the general audience just

be confused that imagine getting lord of the

rings and then getting the hobbit the next year

and being like well what happened to like 90

percent of the characters that were in the last

movie so but to be fair there are a shit ton

of star wars fans there are that is and you look

at you talk about multi -generational like you

have probably three generations of people that

like Star Wars. And I mean, they're they're going

to be able to to handle this pretty well and

figure out what's going on. I feel like the first

trailer is going to just be establishing like

what this is going to be like maybe starting

with seeing from a new hope or it's like, you

know, saying that people lost a lot, you know,

lost their lives bringing us these plans. And

it'd be like the untold story of what have you.

I am a little concerned that episode. 8 is getting

pushed back. I mean, technically episode 7 did

too. That was supposed to come out in the summer

and got pushed back. I wonder if it's really

for rewrites or it's more so it's like, hey,

look how well this did in December and there

was like no competition and it rules the box

office. It's still making money now. Why don't

we just do that every year? That's a really good

point because usually nothing comes out in January

or February that's that all exciting. So it's

got a while there to rule the box office. Yeah,

I mean the movie that ended up finally dethroning

it was Ride Along 2, which is sad, but what are

you gonna do? I don't think episode 8 is gonna

make nearly as much money as episode 7 did. I

mean it would follow the pattern if you look

at it like Avengers made a lot of money, Avengers

2 didn't make nearly as much, Star Wars, the

original Star Wars made more money than all the

other Empire Strikes Back or Return of the Jedi

because I think that initial Initial love so

if this was the legitimate stocks if like I would

think this is as high as it's gonna get so I

would sell Because it's just gonna get lower

just because it's like, you know, getting to

the top floor, there's no place to go but down.

So I think episode eight will still be successful.

I'm a little worried about Rob Rowan because

I'm not the biggest fan of the director. So but

I think there's a lot of great talent there.

So hopefully it'll still be good. But so I actually

will say just because I think there's nowhere

to go but down when you're this great that it's

like I would sell, I would sell. So I guess talk

down for me. But all right. Well, let's move

on to something else that we actually brought

up already with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

But the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie, we

didn't talk about the trailer that was released.

I think we all just didn't even want to bother

with it. But Greg, we are getting bebop and rock

steady. Is that at all possible that they're

stock up in this and thinking that it might actually

be better than the last movie that we got? Stocked

down. Don't think there's any recovery from the

first movie. It was just awful in my book. I'm

sorry I can't I cringe whenever I see like any

mention of it or if I'm like flipping through

Netflix It's now on Netflix and I see it. I'm

like, uh So and I've even been like maybe I should

watch it again See if it was better than I remember

and I'm like, no don't do that to yourself And

I've it's not even worth being added to your

list. Yeah, I know. It's on the bubble stock

stock down because the first one was terrible.

I don't see it going up anywhere from here. Have

you watched the trailer for the second one? Yes,

I have. They. Look, CGI'd well, I guess. I don't

know. I did like the line Mike Langell gives

of, ah, dude, bring it back, the mohawk. I forget

what else is there, but it was like, yeah, we

did a go. I thought that was kind of fun, but

I don't really have hope for that movie at all.

I don't think I'll even want to go see it when

it comes out in theaters. You had that five seconds,

though, so, you know. Chuck, I know you're riding

a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle high. Any chance

that this movie is actually going to continue

that and make you go stock up? I don't know.

This is tough. I kind of want to go stock up

just to be the opposite of Greg here. Not that

I take great joy in that, Greg, but I'm just

saying. You do. Don't know just because I think

the first one was so bad. This one has to be

better That's why I want to say stock up because

it's just I don't think you can get any more

rock bottom than that It was so terrible and

and for the fact that like what I'm seeing with

like with kids and the toys and stuff like this

is This is like what happened with our generation.

This is happening all over again with their generation.

They don't know what they're watching is terrible,

OK, because they can't compare it to what we

saw. But to them, it's it's good. And like, you

know, at Christmas time, when we, you know, we

delivered the toys or whatever this one school,

like there were a lot of kids still into Teenage

Mutant Ninja Turtles and want the toys and everything

and, you know, having a blast with them. So this

like this for them is is huge. Like this is starting

the trend all over for a new generation and everything.

And those kids wanted the the toys. Did you give

them the old ones that we had? No, this is look

at this is so much better it's got you can move

the arms a little bit and Like four points of

articulation kind of hold on to this weapon if

you hold on to it like check this out all the

weapons are brown like come on they come this

little random plastic thing and you unhook them

yeah you have to break them out of the plastic

but yeah i mean i don't know the new toys are

kind of weird because they're all like weird

stuff with the giant hands and feet and they're

like rubbery stretchy i don't know i don't understand

the new stuff i liked our toys better back in

the day but the point is it's still it's still

getting big and it's really popular with kids

because for some reason, they're still going

nuts over these characters. I'll echo what Greg

said. I thought bebop and rocksteady looked good.

I don't know about some of the lines and movements

they're given. It looks like it might be extremely

corny, but if this is geared towards a much younger

audience, that's going to be okay with them.

I think just bringing on My boy Stephen Amell.

I think it's just it's gotta it's gotta pick

the stock up, you know Casey Jones Yeah, see

that's kind of why I want to go stock down because

I I don't I don't know. I don't see him as See

him as Casey Jones. I think he's way too serious

with it. I don't know I don't think you can get

much worse than the first one. Well, then I saw

the trailer and I'm like I think it could be

worse. Yeah, Bebop and Rock Steady look okay,

but it just looks so... I don't know. It just,

the action looks just like the last one, like

Michael Bay confusion. It does look like a Transformers

movie. Yeah, so I just, I'm gonna go stock down

with this. I think it's just gonna be, I'm not

gonna get my hopes up. Maybe it'll surprise me,

but I don't know. So talking about DC, let's

go into a different route with DC Television.

Recently it was announced that there's actually

gonna be a crossover that many of us or many

people thought there might be or hope there might

be with Supergirl and Flash are having some sort

of crossover. The question is though, I know

we weren't big fans of Supergirl. I don't know

if you guys continue watching it, at least the

first episode. Is this? I didn't even see the

first episode. I saw none of it. Oh, okay. I

know Chuck did at least. I'm still watching it.

You're still watching it? Has it got any better?

I think it's gotten a lot better to be honest.

Okay. Maybe I need to go back and watch. I stopped

watching at the first episode. Anyways, so we're

having this crossover then Chuck I'll start with

you. Is this? CW doing too much the cinematic

or I guess tell telematic. I don't know telematic

universe. Is it getting tell us? Big now it's

gonna be you're having all these different shows

competing competing with characters and if Superman

exists in the same universe as flash Then does

that mean arrow exists in the same world as Batman

and is he upset that he stole his identity? Like

what exactly is gonna be going on in this so

stock up because it's happening or stock down

because it's gonna be just too much Absolutely

100 % stock up. I love this. I don't think they're

going overboard at all People are eating it up

just kind of looking on Twitter and different

different things reading articles and comments

like people are eating this up and I think like

I Think honestly, this is gonna work out better

for DC than their movies to be quite honest because

I think like Fans are really falling in love

with these characters like especially flash and

they've gotten used to seeing Grant Gustin, Stephen

Amell, stuff like that. It's going to be a little

tougher for them to accept the new guys in the

movies. So I like what they're doing here, kind

of creating their TV universe. And I think, quite

honestly, they do their TV verse way better than

Marvel does. I mean, obviously, I'm a big fan

of Peggy Carter, but I realized when when it

was on The One Night that I have way more fun

watching Flash than Agent Carter. Agent Carter

is a great show. There's a lot of things I love

about it. But as far as the fun factor and the

the geek factor, like I'm just like out of my

shoes when I'm watching like Flash or, you know,

anything like that. Like even the new show, like

Legends of Tomorrow today, it's not it's not

fantastic yet, but it's I really like where it's

going and I like the potential that it has. So

I'm super excited for these crossovers. Like

I said, Supergirl is getting a lot better. They're

introducing more characters. They're adding a

little bit more depth with supporting cast and

stuff like that Some of the effects have gotten

better. She doesn't necessarily look like she's

hanging from cables all the time. So Things are

things are getting better they're improving a

little bit and I'm looking forward to the Berlanti

verse I guess you could call it since he's the

producer of Supergirl and flash some of the CW

stuff so Yeah, I like it. Greg, I know that you're

kind of like me where you catch up with most

of the stuff afterwards with Netflix. I do, and

I finally finished the first season of Flash.

Well, there you go. So now that you have something

else to kind of catch up on, does that make it

just stuck down? Because it's like, I don't even

want to bother because in order to watch this

one show, I got to watch this other show. No,

because I got excited whenever, uh, Arrow personality

would make it onto the Flash, especially Emily

Bett Rickards. I know I may be a little bit biased

with that, but anytime she showed up on the show,

I got super excited. I think it just adds to

the whole thing, so I'm gonna go stock up. I

am interested in seeing Supergirl. I just haven't

gotten around to it. Definitely waiting for it

to come out on Netflix or something. I'm done.

I'm not sure that's really your style, Greg.

Just based on like you're you're feeling Supergirl.

Oh, OK. Just based on your feelings on Superman

and stuff like it's it's sort of along the same

lines with. Yeah, but at least there's there's

eye candy. Right. Yeah. Jimmy Olsen, Jimmy Olsen

looks. Yeah. Well, I guess I'll make it. Give

it a give it a try at least. Well, I wasn't a

fan of the first episode of Supergirl but I can't

say because I haven't gone past that So but I

think this is cool. I think this is awesome.

This is happening that you're seeing all these

kind of come together Supergirl and flash. I

think I think it's kind of convenient that they're

keeping out arrow I get why he sees he's a downer,

but we only call is not happy go lucky enough

to Man yeah, I imagine like Supergirl meeting

the arrow that would be interesting Yeah, awkward.

Yeah. So I'm going to go stock up, because this

is pretty cool. I mean, the worst thing, it's

bad, and then they go their separate ways. I'm

interested in seeing how it's going to work,

if it's going to be like. You know what they

were doing with flash and arrow where the flash

shows up Are they gonna be in the same universe?

Is it because with a flash and all the different

universes they could easily be like Oh, you went

to a different dimension They have the multiverse

or what have you that way you have then You're

setting people up for the movies that are coming

out because that also can be its own universe.

So I don't know. It's it's insane That's all

it is. There's a lot of I was I was thinking

that too like they like in the show right now,

they're they only Have revealed like earth 2

like there's earth 1 and earth 2 but yeah I mean,

this could very easily they can say like, well,

this is our three, you know, and like somebody

was saying, I was reading comments that someone

said, well, why don't you just like, why don't

you just say Smallville happened on like Earth

27 or something and you can kind of link it that

way. And I heard this, I guess someone interviewed

or asked Tom Welling a question about him appearing

on flash or somewhere in the flash universe.

And he said, no one's approached him, but he

would be all for doing it. Like if they got into

reality hopping and they kind of obviously they

can't be in the same one because he had a different

green arrow on that show. But like if he was

from a different earth, he said he would be all

for it, which would that would be pretty cool.

They could have a lot of fun with these. It would

get extremely confusing with all the different

earths. But I think it could be it could be a

lot of fun. Yeah. I mean, they're having, you

know, a gorilla. In a king shark, so I feel like

exactly feel like anything is going now. So yeah,

i'll go stock up as well All right. Well one

last one, uh, but I think it's it's an important

one. We're huge x -man fans here We have an x

-men apocalypse movie coming out trailer's been

released. I know There has been a lot of negative

buzz with the apocalypse image. I know the trailer

seemed to right some of those wrongs, but also

you're looking at the Marvel Universe comic universe,

and it seems the X -Men are becoming the forgotten

team. The comic books are going towards the inhumans,

kind of forgetting about the mutants in a way.

They're once becoming, again, like an endangered

species. So. Greg with all that going on with

the X -Men is are their stock falling? Is it

is it the point where you know? It's time to

sell because it seems like the days of the X

-Man have come and gone Yeah, I kind of agree

with all that you said there. Um The movie doesn't

seem as great as all the other ones. I really

liked X -Men First Class and a lot of other people

have liked Days of Future Past. I wasn't the

biggest fan of it and it kind of went down just

slightly in my book. And the trailer at least

helped me come up from where I was with saying

that Apocalypse looked like Ivan Ooze. They did

correct that, thankfully. But it still doesn't

look exactly how I'd want it. to look or seem

or somebody to go off with it still interesting

facts in there and stuff but yeah the comics

are definitely going back to that whole mutants

dying off thing and it's just like we just got

over this guys come on so yeah the comics are

definitely uh taking a hit if you ask me especially

with now two ice men questioning well not really

questioning knowing their genders that whole

switch -up, thanks Bendis, weirdness and I don't

know it just seems all over the place and kind

of weird with the X -Men at this point because

they also have a team up of Magneto, Sabertooth,

Psylocke and a couple others doing an X -Men

type of team which they've done kind of the bad

guys going good before and forming kind of an

X -Men team, which has been good, but this is

just all sorts of not fun, weird X -Men -ness.

Usually X -Men are weird, but this is just going

in a direction that I'm not the biggest fan of,

which thanks, Marvel. Thanks. I got my X -Men

tattoo and now you're doing weird stuff with

the X -Men. So I'm going to go stock down. Chuck,

thoughts? For me personally, I'm still really

excited for... The X -Men movies and everything

even the the spinoffs and everything Deadpool.

I was reading about X -Force today. They have

a possible lineup for An X -Force movie, which

was pretty exciting Yeah, I forgot to mention

those TV shows are coming out Legion and yeah

one about the Hellfire Club as well. Yeah We

got the Gambit movie coming out in November.

I think that got pushed back officially. So it's

no longer coming out this year. Oh, okay. All

right So, I mean, for me personally, I'm exciting,

but I think the overall pulse, if I had to guess,

I would say is stocked down because I think it's

just kind of being. I don't know, it's sad to

say, I think it's kind of being forgotten a little

bit like these characters at the moment anyway.

Maybe that's just because of the things taking

its place, like the whole thing with the Avengers

and what DC is doing and. You know, like you

said, with the inhumans, like kind of focusing

on that and. Ages of shield so it's I mean it

kind of sucks. They're kind of not acknowledging

these characters I'm not really familiar with

the current comics right now I don't know if

they're phasing them out a little bit if there's

less titles or more titles or what but There's

still a lot of titles. It's just that they're

not I would say Super strong at the moment. They've

always been in their own little universe when

it comes to the Marvel, but it seems like Purposely,

they're not Nearly put them in hell. Yeah. Yeah.

Yeah So, you know, it's you have these tarragon

mist clouds going around that kills me that kill

me mutants at any time and there can't be new

mutants and it's in one way Yes, it's making

mutants back into them like a minority like they

used to be so it's getting back to those stories

But it's also it just seems like there's no consequence

in their stories that there's nothing they only

they don't have any lasting impact with anything

else besides that specific issue and They still

can't figure out what to do with Cyclops Yeah,

it's a shame Sadly with you know, the X -Men

and Fantastic Four When it comes to the comics

think Marvel is being a little bit petty in the

way They're handling it and it seems like you

know that they are purposely just not highlighting

in the comics I don't know if the theory is if

they've put in the comics and they'll make though

Be less success for the movie. So we'll get them

back. I don't know It seems it seems unnecessary

to do it that way I thought you know fox with

all those issues that handle x -men property

pretty well Though this x -men apocalypse seems

like the like the last hurrah and it seems like

it's you know spryne singer doing his last film,

I know Hugh Jackman is gonna be doing Wolverine

just one more time, and I just don't know what

they're gonna do after that. So after X -Men

Apocalypse, it feels like it's gonna be hard

for them to make an X -Men movie. The TV shows,

I'm still not really sold on either of them.

Legion, to me, it's never been a character I've

liked, let alone one a TV show about. And the

comics have been, there's some good ones. We

talked about Old Man Logan, all -new Wolverine,

but Extraordinary X -Men's been kinda blah and

uncanny. Greg mentioned all new expense actually

been quite good better. I think I think it's

that one's been more enjoyable, but to its soup

That's really weird because you have young X

-Men and the time new timeline It's it's where

it falls into that confusing the confusion that

Marvel has going on at this point It's unfortunately

not not the height of the X -Men right now. It's

you know, they don't have they're not putting

their They're best writers, I say, right now

on the X -Men titles. So it's just not a good

time to be a mutant, unfortunately. But hey,

maybe Deadpool will turn that around, though,

if you want to consider that an X -Men title.

But I don't know. That looks like a lot of fun.

Looking forward to that. Yeah, I am too. It's

funny you talk about Deadpool. I have people

coming up to me at work. that aren't really into

comic movies and they're like, what is this Deadpool

guy? What's this Deadpool movie about? They're

like, this seems really funny. And I'm like,

yeah, it's going to be hilarious. And so it's

just kind of funny that I have these people like

it's drawing interests with like people that

don't usually gravitate to these movies just

because of his. weird sense of humor, so I thought

that was kind of interesting. The marketing for

that movie has been brilliant on so many levels,

just the little things they're doing, and they

did the one poster that was like a parody of

the Green Lantern poster with him in a ring pop,

which was pretty great. All righty, so that brings
