Suicide Squad Photo and Deflategate

in circles. The circuit is now complete. When

I left you, I was but the learner. Now I am the

master. Because it's a circle. Yeah, we heard

about the circle. Yeah, I'm familiar with shapes.

Hi, this is Greg. And welcome to Talking in Circles.

As you can hear, we're missing two members, Chuck

and Dan. As you may know, life goes on, things

happen, and sometimes the podcast can happen,

like today or this week. We couldn't really get

together to do the podcast this week because

we've all got different stuff going on. So I'm

going to try and do a short little one right

here right now. I'm kind of going off on the

fly here, so I'm not sure what's... really going

to happen. But welcome to Talking in Circles,

And I guess I want to start off on the Suicide

Squad photo that came out recently. You may have

seen it. Very dark as DC has been going. This

one is also a very dark imagining of all these

characters being a big Marvel fan I haven't really

read much DC stuff I don't really know too too

much about the Suicide Squad except that it's

kind of like the DC's version of the Thunderbolts

And I guess the one character in there that I

could really have an opinion upon is Harley Quinn.

I read her her latest issues that have been coming

out her new series, which I think is really well

done. I really enjoy that. And I think Margot

Robbie is looks wise fits in with what the character

is supposed to look like. I'm not saying that

the design of the character that they did is

really that great. But she looks the part and

so that really sells her character a lot So I

think that is good But they definitely twisted

her a lot towards pairing up with the Joker a

lot of tattoos a lot of I guess you would say

goth punk? I don't know. Marilyn Manson is what

they're going for. She's a little less crazy

looking than the Joker, but Harley Quinn is a

little bit less crazy of a character, I guess.

But then a lot of the other characters are dark

as well. They have Will Smith playing Deadshot,

who I don't really know much about Deadshot.

As I said before, I don't know many of these

characters too well. but it's it's okay they

don't have that that red ocular lens type of

deal that glows red the dead shot has because

of course it's Will Smith and they need to show

his face because Will Smith wants to show off

his face i guess um and then the other characters

uh even lesser known for me They're all looking

very dark. They have Killer Croc in there, which

he looks like, I think somebody said it on Reddit,

he just kinda looks like Goomba. Not an offensive

remark towards Italians, but, well, maybe it

is, but I'm referring to that old Super Mario

Brothers movie that was really awful back in

the day, but I still watch because I like those

weird B -rated movies. yeah he he looks like

a goomba with these weird thick hairs coming

out of him and it's very bizarre as for the other

characters they're just kind of so so and i find

the i think it's the enchantress i i think she's

being played by cara divine or something along

those those lines um She's very interesting.

She kind of looks like she's coming from a Japanese

horror movie like The Ring, like she just came

out of a well or something and she's all wet

with her hair. And I always thought that character,

from the little that I know, is supposed to be...

not good -looking but a little bit more presentable

than she looks on there she looks seriously like

she came out of the ring like her hair is wet

and she's just looks a mess as opposed to the

character that i think it's supposed to be of

a little bit more uh sexy vixen type of deal

but yeah it's it's it's looking like they have

it set up pretty pretty dark and grim except

for harley really and um the one character who

looks Japanese Chinese I'm sorry if that's offensive

because I don't know I can't tell that's probably

offensive or racist I'm sorry I but it's a Japanese

Chinese characters also got a little bit of a

bright element with a white shirt Margot Robbie

Robbie definitely looks cute enough and does

a great with her just regular appearance is very

close to an imagining of Harley Quinn, so I think

that's pretty awesome. And I guess we'll be moving

on, because there's only so much one man can

say about something. So I'm going to move on

to something that I'm not totally huge into,

but the guys have gotten me into it. in the past

six or seven years here and that's football.

They mostly got me in through playing fantasy

football and that kind of got me hooked and I

watch a lot of games to keep up with my fantasy

players and my fandom has kind of developed from

that. But recently I think it started today There's

a report that came out from the representative

that the NFL has that's independent from the

NFL trying to figure out what happened with Deflategate,

which happened in the AFC playoffs where the

New England Patriots apparently had their balls

were a bit deflated. And so that gave them a

bit of an advantage and the NFL found out about

it and there was this whole coup and everything.

And supposedly they found two behind -the -scenes

people that were involved. But this report recently,

this new report that came out has found that

there may have been some involvement from Tom

Brady. And they they say it's it's a pretty good

chance that he was involved in this Somehow,

I don't know how they come about saying that

But yeah, so so Tom Brady is is kind of a little

bit being implicated So maybe there's gonna be

some fines down the line here or something. I

don't know But the substance is gonna happen

on my way back from work today on my on my ride

home There was a reporter on the radio talking

about it and saying that he would expect fines,

and he would expect their Super Bowl victory

taken away. I kind of see that happening, but

not really. I don't think they're going to go

that far. But then this gentleman went even further

and saying that Brady should be banned from the

league. I'm not the biggest Tom Brady fan, I'm

not the biggest Patriots fan, but I think that

is a little too far. We've had incidents, there's

been a president's before of people cheating

and they've just gotten fined. This is just...

Another example of of that and yes, I agree with

the gentleman on the radio that it's it is a

bad example set for kids that are fans of the

Patriots and Tom Brady specifically But that's

that kind of goes more against his legacy than

anything else And I think it might go down in

the history books that of how this went down

because they also had Spygate a couple years

back and There should be some kind of monitoring

system after they've made so many offences like

this in the past few short years of, like, cheating.

They've had Spygate, they've had Deflategate.

They need some monitoring there, because they're

apparently on the very edge of the rules there

in New England, and they have prospered both

times, which is completely not right. So I think

there needs to be something done with that. But

yeah, that's all I've got in football news, guys.
