About this Episode

The hosts mark their 100th episode by revisiting their first game, Fact or Fiction. They kick off with Toy Fair coverage, discussing new Marvel Legends waves including Red Guardian, Cable, and Iceman figures, plus Walgreens exclusives. They also dive into Brian K. Vaughan's Ex Machina comic series before diving into rapid-fire debate rounds covering Deadpool's influence on R-rated superhero films, DC's cinematic universe strategy, and whether The Flash is the best comic book show on television.

How do we start hey, this is it's literally the

hundredth time we've done this I know Okay Hey

guys, this is Rob Paulsen and you're listening

to the Geekcast Radio Network. You are now on

the inside of what I like to call the circle

of trust. We are all connected in a great circle

of life. You know something Bert? I think you

and I are going in circles. It feels like we're

going in circles. The circuit is now complete.

When I left you, I was but the learner. Now I

am the master. Because it's a circle. Yeah, we

heard about the circle. Yeah, that's what a million

would say. Hey, this is Greg. This is Chuck.

And this is Dan. And we are Talking in Circle,

sponsored by the Geekcast Radio Network. The

podcast that is celebrating its 100th episode.

Yes, it's kind of crazy that we are making it

to all the way to 100. And in honor of 100, we're

actually going to go back to the beginning and

play the first game we ever played when we started

this podcast, Fact or Fiction. But before we

get to that, how's the week been going for you

guys? My week has been rather exciting because,

well, this this will actually be a Coming out

a little bit later, but we're recording at the

same night as our last episode But last week

has been exciting for me because it was Toy Fair

And that was held in New York City over Valentine's

Day weekend how romantic But uh The only thing

I really cared about at all was you know anxiously

awaiting the announcement for the new Marvel

Legends that would be coming out this year And

I was not disappointed at all Like they announced

all these new waves like there's two more Captain

America waves with some cool characters you get.

So honestly, we're starting to get some characters

that I didn't think we would get, but they're

releasing Red Guardian, who's kind of like the

Soviet version of Captain America, which is kind

of cool. And they have a man. They're really

digging deep, aren't they? Yeah. I mean, they're

still sticking with a lot of classic characters.

Like it seems like every lion has to have a Captain

America and Iron Man in it. Of course. I'm surprised

there's not a Wolverine and Spider -Man in each

one, too. Well, yeah, there's Spider -Man has

his own waves now. Like it's weird. Like there's

like Captain America waves, there's Spider -Man

waves, X -Men waves. And like some of them, like

when they're based on a movie. trend I'm seeing

is like they have to have three movie figures

and then they can have like four comic figures

in it and then usually like the usually the build

a figure is like comic based most of the time

but I think with the new Captain America wave

I think the build a figure is actually might

be a movie figure really which is interesting

I won't say what it is or what I've been hearing,

but I thought that was interesting. But also,

of course, with the X -Men apocalypse coming

out this year, they have an X -Men wave and there's

tons of great figures in that wave. There's a

new Cable figure, which looks phenomenal. I think

it's more of like, I think a modern version of

Cable, probably more how he appears in the newer

comics. And then they also have a new Iceman

figure, which looks amazing. A Jim Lee rogue.

Does Iceman look really gay? Now, yeah, I mean,

it's a little bit different from the Iceman figure

that I have from the Toy Biz line. The wrist

is bent. Yes, slightly. Comes with different

catchphrases. No. Has a little wilt. He. By the

way, not making fun of gay people, making the

fact the fun of the fact that Bendis ruined that

character. What hasn't he ruined to be honest?

No, the this one sort of has like ice spikes

coming out a different part like his shoulders

and like his head and stuff like that looks really

broad Yes, the crotch the ice crotch But yeah,

some really cool figures they have some Walgreens

is getting in on the action Walgreens has some

exclusives Funko pop exclusives Walgreens does

I heard? Yeah, I heard the CEO of Walgreens really

likes figures and stuff. Oh, yeah. Yeah, they

had a they had a couple of exclusives last year.

I think they had a they had an admin figure and

they had a agent venom figure and something like

that. But this year they're they're having a

namer figure, which looks really sweet. And they're

having a Jim Lee Punisher with the white headband

and everything from the 90s. Oh, cool. Yeah.

And he comes with like a big, huge rocket launcher

like the one Darryl used in Walking Dead the

other night. There's a lot of cool figures coming

out and I feel like a huge dork because I'm looking

at Toy Fair articles for toy releases, but they're

getting so good now. It's literally like poseable

statues. They're using 3D printing for... creating

the face sculpts and stuff on at least the movie

characters and stuff like they're taking actual

actors features, you know, in their software

programs and using 3D printing to create the

faces and stuff. And it's just it's looking more

and more like the actors. It's phenomenal. They're

cranking out some good stuff right now. It's

beginning to look a lot like the actors. Every

action figure you get. Now you're making up your

own songs, I'm impressed. Thank you. I've got

a little weird Ali Yankovic thing going on now.

And then and I will say, I'm excited for Greg,

even though he may not be getting them, but they're

actually coming out with Golden Girls Funko Pop

Vinyls. I'm not getting those. I'm sorry. Yes,

I did. I did send them to someone I know who

is actually into Golden Girls. And I've actually

gotten this person a couple of pops. So I kind

of sent that along as, oh, here you go. Here's

more pops that you can get. But yeah, I'm not

getting into that collection of pops. There's

there's already too many that. I wanna get that

are a little bit higher on the list than Golden

Girls, I'm sorry. I don't know. But yeah, I thought

that was funny. Nice, nice. I'm curious what

you think that build -a -figure might be. Will

you spoil it? I don't know, do you think I should?

Why not? You can't spoil a movie we haven't seen

yet. I'm afraid it'll spoil something for the

movie. Well, we haven't seen it, so I guess it's

just a guess. Okay, well, it's like my guess

what I've heard somebody else guessing is that

the this build a figure will be Civil War giant

man. I was watching a Funko pop periscope before

the podcast and they were people were constantly

asking for giant man pop figure and They're like

who's giant man and everything. So yeah Yes,

I mean I I know a lot of people haven't even

considered that option for the Civil War movie,

but that's something that we have to basically

consider, talk about, that that's a possibility

that that could be happening. You ruined it.

Geez, no, I'm just joking. That's why I was hesitant

to say it, but I'm like, I don't know. Everybody's

kind of thinking it, I feel like. It's just an

element of that character. Greg, how are things

going with you? All right, I'm getting high off

of this paint marker as I'm drawing the picture

for tonight. I'm sorry I'm it's kind of a theme

lately my Drawings, but it it went with the the

last episode so and we've been kind of talking

about a lot So sorry if it's the same thing all

the time for those of us Plus it's the one I'm

really good at drawing at the one character that

I'm halfway decent drawing so sorry for those

that don't know Each episode we record or each

that we record Greg draws a drawing and I throw

it on Facebook to check them out If you get a

Facebook in our Facebook page, you'll you'll

see them there. But uh, well he's going really

well I'm not the best artist in the world when

it comes to this kind of stuff, but I try my

best He's second best it's going well. I Was

kind of cool. Now is that with my work? I get

to work two days at home now out of the week

which is really interesting must be nice yeah

it's pretty cool it's uh it's like oh i gotta

call my wife let her know i'm on my way home

and open the door from my room and i'm out and

there you go so It's very cool, because usually

my drive to work can take anywhere without traffic,

like to 45 minutes. So at times it's been an

hour and a half, it's longer. So having two days

where I don't have to do that is really cool.

And I surprisingly get a lot done when I'm home.

Do you come out of your office and say, honey,

I'm home? I do, exactly. But it's that's pretty

awesome. Yeah, it's great cuz I'm like, I don't

worry about making a lunch nice It's just like

so it's amazing. So probably the gas for those

couple days. You're probably saving a little

bit Oh, yeah. Yeah, and it's cuz tomorrow actually

I get to work from home and what's kind of cool,

too Is that you know where that you could use

child labor you could use your son to do your

work for you He you know, I'll do what I need

to but it was what's kind of cool is that you

know during lunch I'm like, you know what I could

go take like a 45 minute nap and come back and

work if I really wanted to, so. I'm a 30 -year

-old man talking about taking naps, but that's

how you gotta do what you gotta do. I take a

shit ton of naps, Dan. Naps are freaking amazing.

I'm not gonna lie. Oh, my God, yes. Yes, sir.

Not speaking of naps, but, Chuck, I do know that

you did, you mentioned comic books, and you are

reading a comic book. You wanna give your thoughts

on what you've been reading? Uh, yeah, it's just

one of my... One of my trades that I kind of

picked up this week, and I've been in an Avengers

mood recently for whatever reason, but every

now and then I do enjoy me some West Coast Avengers.

Nice. And I was I picked up this book a while

back Avengers West Coast Vision Quest. It's kind

of the story of basically when all the governments

of the world banded together and sort of kidnapped

vision and disabled him and they. took him apart

and everything and disassembled him and they

wanted to erase data that he had acquired from

various secret agencies throughout the world

and they felt that he was a huge threat to them

and everything so they proceeded to do that but

when they did that they sort of broke him down

and basically erased his sort of his emotional

Matrix or whatever you want to call it. So it

was kind of like he could no longer feel any

emotions toward the Scarlet Witch or anything

like that. And it's really interesting story.

It's written and illustrated by John Byrne and

I love his art. I'm not super crazy about his

writing. Yeah, I mean, I like the story overall

in that aspect, but I guess it's his dialogue

that I'm not crazy about. And it's maybe it's

just a product of like. being in the 80s and

everything, but every other line, like they're

calling each other lover. Oh, I don't know. Lover.

Like, why don't we go to that? And I'm like,

when was that a thing? Like, I don't remember

people calling each other lover. Like, I don't

know. But you see, like Hawkeye and Mockingbird

in the story and they're kind of their marriage

is sort of on the rocks and everything. But you

have them talking to each other like that. And

it's actually from the 90s on SNL, Chuck, with

the skit with Will Ferrell and Anna Gasteyer

where they're in the hot tub. How are you doing,

lover? Yeah. I guess at that point it was pretty

prominent, but I don't know. But I guess I'm

glad I was too young to hear too many people

talking like that, because it's kind of annoying,

to be honest. But I mean, a lot of... I don't

know. I guess it's kind of... It's kind of similar

to some of the older the old school writers like

you're Roy Thomas's and Stan Lee's and everything

or it's it's still a little bit too over explanatory

and a lot of times and Some of the dialogue it's

smacking you in the face. It's like, okay, I

figured out what's happening You don't have to

reiterate it again Bagged with exposition. I

Mean other than that the story moves pretty well

and I do like the basic concepts that that John

Byrne laid out and everything. It was pretty

cool. And like I said, I love his art. That's

he's definitely probably in my top 10 or 15 favorite

artists. I like his stuff a lot from the 80s.

So it's pretty cool because it's it shows the

white the white vision. And you you kind of get

a you kind of get a view in this story of really

the parts that make up vision and like what.

Sort of how his Synthesoid body is put together.

It's like it's pretty interesting. Like it's

a combination of synthetic human organs and mechanical

parts and there's an interesting part where they

thought like You know, they thought for years

that the vision was made from the original human

torch body from back in like the 40s and then

they find out during the story that that's not

the case and the original creator of the human

torch was saying how, you know, the human torch

was basically an Android, which was like a copy

of a human. And he had no mechanical parts in

him, but the vision does, like he has certain

mechanical parts, but he also has synthetic human

parts and you get to see things. And when they

take, they sort of, when they disassemble him,

I guess they take his red skin off of his body

somehow. something gets disturbed in the circulation

and it loses its red hue, basically. And when

Hank Pym puts them back together, that's why

he's white. He kind of lost all that color. I

thought he had that Michael Jackson disease.

Yes, he had several unsuccessful plastic surgeries.

It's a really cool story just just for that aspect,

just to kind of get. In the innards of vision

and see like how he's like put together. It's

I thought it was kind of interesting I got a

kick out of it but like I said every now and

then I like the west of West Coast Avengers stuff

because for whatever reason I always thought

that was interesting and it they do go a little

bit too far though because This is kind of the

arc where they try to bring in the Great Lakes

Avengers And it's like one too far maybe like

yeah, just step back there just one step back

It's kind of funny. It's it's amusing. So interesting

story. I did want to talk about one comic i'm

reading too real quick when we talked about our

favorite comic writers I brought up matt matt

fraction and he wrote the comic x machina Uh

that I started picking up actually got the first

volume I thought I thought that uh, brian k von

wrote x machina not matt fraction. Sorry. We

talked about it We talked about I know why I

was thinking it was matt fraction brian k von.

Yes, um, which was I think a series I don't know

if it was before Why the Last Man or shortly

after. It was before. It was like, I think Ex

Machina was his first one. I think Why the Last

Man came afterwards. I've almost finished the

first volume. I actually was kind of cool because

I picked it up at the local library, which is

awesome because my local library has a pretty

kick -ass graphic novel section. So I picked

it up. What's a live library? It's this place

that allows you to take stuff and like borrow

it for a few days. Seriously? Yeah, it's amazing.

I've never heard of this. Movies, and I guess

people get books there, but I usually get movies

and comics. I would like to check out Emily Bett

Records. I don't know if they might have Emily

Bett Records records, if maybe you could check

those out. There might be late fees, though.

That'd be tough. I would totally pay those late

fees. Only cooperating locations have earned

stock. Can't get it at all, libraries. But I've

read the first four issues I think I'm in, and

it surrounds this guy who is working in New York

City, I think for the harbor police, I think,

or something like that. And he finds this thing

floating in the water, and it gives him special

powers, gives him the ability to talk to any

type of machines. And with that, he becomes a

superhero. You know, he's a pretty basic superhero.

He has that ability. He can stop guns from firing

and he ends up using it like it also allows him

to build this suit with this type of jet pack

and the story it the way it's laid out though.

It's like Current day. He's no longer superhero.

We actually ran for mayor for New York City is

now he's mayor and it's going through that progression

and actually opens up with a failed assassination

attempt and You kind of what we're happening

now It's like filling in his backstory of how

he became a superhero of the powers and there's

some question of like his morality Is he is he

really a hero? Is there more something sinister

going on? Is this really this the guy is this

guy? Really who he is or is he being ruled by

this machine power that he received? which is

kind of interesting and another piece of this

too is that it takes place in New York City and

The difference is, you know, he was there on

September 11th, but things were different because

of him I don't want to give anything away, but

he did affect that in some ways. So There are

a lot of interesting elements, too, because you

have these things, like him dealing with a political

aspect of his career where he has to deal with

something like the local art gallery that's causing

issues, but he also has to deal with other stuff,

like regarding superhero stuff. Again, Brian

came on doing something completely different,

so much so that I forgot that he wrote it. But

it's quite good. I don't think it's nearly to

the level of other things that I've read so far

from Brian Cavanagh, but I'm like, I'm just starting

it. So it is getting... Well, plus the fact that

this is probably one of the first things that

he's done and he's probably developed a better

sense of his writing abilities. For first story,

it works really. It's really interesting. The

art is OK. It's not phenomenal. I don't know

if it's the book I have, but the lettering is

kind of off. It's just, it almost feels like

overly big at times. I don't know. It's off to

I'll have to look at one of the graphic novels

and when I go into the comic books Yeah, I'm

looking forward to I'll probably picking up more

volumes there's it ran for quite a bit I don't

know if he ran he wrote the whole entire thing

But I'm gonna look it up right now. Actually,

I would I would recommend picking it up It's

it's it's I think worth worth reading for sure,

especially when you have to pay for it Yeah,

it won 2005 Eisner for best new series Yeah,

that's right on the cuffer. Yeah, and it came

out around the same time as why the last man

because it won a 2000 Award for 2005 Eisner award

for best writer for why the last man Runaways

and ex Machina so I just want to take a quick

break and we come back we will Again, we will

celebrate our 100th episode by playing our favorite

game factor fiction Hey, I'm Gary. I'm Mike.

I'm Chuck. And I'm Justin. Join the four of us

Talk meets sports talk, and we make fun of Right,

and we, hey, again? Come on, Chuck, we're just

kidding, kinda. Sometimes Chuck makes fun of

himself. Right, and we, okay, seriously, this

is just getting ridiculous now. It's What's On

Joe Mind, every week on the Geekcast Radio Network,

Download and listen today. I suppose I still

can't say something about Transformers, can I?

Good grief. What about sports? Yeah, that's alright.

Alright, and welcome back. Yesterday we were

playing Fact or Fiction, and those who have not

heard this game before, it's pretty straightforward.

We'll throw out some sayings, some statements,

and what we'll be doing is declaring those statements

fact, or are they fiction? Again, just like the

name sounds. So, I guess maybe I'll start, and

I'll start with one for Greg that I have for

you. And it's comic book related, since we were

talking about comic books. Fact or fiction at

this point. You're currently more excited for

non superhero comics than superhero comics Hmm.

Let's see. I have a lot of image comics I have

I hate fairyland which I'm reading which is really

good descender, which is definitely more sci

-fi Saga, but I read that in graphic novel form

Yeah, there's there's a there's a there is a

catching up with that, but I still think it's

definitely more comics superhero comics than

regular still but it's my regular my Non superhero

comics have definitely increased through the

years. That's that's definitely for sure. So

I'm gonna say fiction At this point, but it definitely

has increased through the years. I have been

enjoying a lot more random publishers and their

non superhero works, especially through images.

A lot of great stuff that has come out recently

that I'm definitely reading, especially thanks

to Brian cave on. Yeah. See for me, I would think

I still really like superhero. But oh I do too.

Yeah when I look at like my my favorite ones

the ones I look forward to I think they aren't

superhero comics at the moment. Yeah Yeah, if

you asked if I look forward more to them I I

think I would go with the non superheroes, but

I did enjoy recently Batman number 49 I thought

and how I kind of like took a hit at Scott Snyder

during our top five Writers, I kind of took a

shot of them that it hasn't been quite as good

lately, but Batman issue number 49 was freaking

amazing if you don't know Batman's been out of

the Bruce Wayne's been out of the suit lately

and not really knowing that he's been Batman

but kind of knowing that he's Batman and kind

of Jim Gordon has taken over well spoiler alert

Bruce Wayne is coming back and and this issue

he's trying to get his memory back memories back

of being Batman Bruce Wayne and it was a very

touching issue. There wasn't a lot of like fighting

action scenes, but it was kind of more emotional.

Just dealing with Bruce and Alfred. It was very,

very well done. It might be one of my favorite

comics of all time. Actually, it was it was really

well done. So I picked that up if I were you.

So there are definitely superhero comics that

can give the Non superhero comics that I've been

liking more lately a run for their money, but

there there's a lot of non superhero comics that

I do really look forward to Yeah, yeah, very

cool. I'll go with my next one for Chuck Chuck

fact or fiction You're looking more forward to

the flash superhero flash Supergirl crossover

than you are season two of daredevil of that

specific crossover I would have to say false.

I'm definitely excited for it. I don't think

it's quite enough to surpass an entire season

of Daredevil excitement, because I'm really looking

forward to seeing how they do the Punisher and

that. And especially since I know he's going

to be in every single episode now. So I know

he's a pretty substantial part of that. And Electra

and everything, which, you know what? Call me

crazy, but I just don't think that's going to

be as good as the original Electra movie. Oh,

man. Yeah. Don't think you can touch that. I

mean, Jennifer Garner really can't. Gosh, like,

you know, all those typhoid Mary and tattoo and

just timeless characters, you know. But no, yeah,

I would I would say I'm definitely looking forward

to the Flash Supergirl crossover, but. I think

I'm a little bit more excited for the Daredevil

season. Very cool. All right. Greg, do you want

to do, do you have ones for us? Yeah, I've been

kind of going with not just one individually,

but kind of ones for both of you at the same

time. Here's one I actually just came up with.

Factor Fiction. You guys would trade slash swap

your entire comic book collection with a co -host.

Like I would swap mine with one of yours Yeah,

like it's kind of like would you factor fiction

and then kind of a follow -up of like kind of

which one would you kind of situation? Man Chuck

you want to go first? So are you saying trade

your entire collection? Yeah, like you want like

you're kind of jealous as somebody else's collection.

That's co -hosting the show Boy Or do you like,

do you just want to keep yours? I kind of went

out of the factor fiction realm a little bit.

I was trying to force it into that. No, you can't

go messing with the realms, Greg. You mess things

up, you screw up the time stream, things start

happening. I'm already a little come after me

with the nine realms. My left arm is going invisible

right now as we speak. No, I just have to say

false because I really, really like my collection

and I think I've customized it perfectly to the

things that I'm into and everything and I know

you guys are into some different stuff and there's

nothing wrong with that but I think my collection

I've built it to suit my sensibilities pretty

good. I would say since I would say Greg yours

is probably more... impressive of mine when you

come to like the the amount of the quality when

it just the rarity of comics and You know, we

have some older comics like some really like,

you know X -Men early issues that I certainly

don't have But I guess for me like I've really

in a lot of ways stopped collecting You know,

because I mentioned I've gone digital and a great

deal. I don't really buy individual issues nearly

as much as I used to so So Dan has become communist.

He's no longer American. And like I mentioned,

going to the library, getting going there. But

when I think about my collection, what I like

about it, you know, I love the fact that I have

the entire Age of Apocalypse series. Is it like

as worth as much as like an old X -Men issue?

Probably not. Or I have like everything that

revolves around Civil War and the entire Cable

and Deadpool series and Captain America run.

So. along the same lines I'd probably go fiction

because Although I would probably be getting

a more impressive collection if I went and traded

it with someone else I think it would not be

representation a representation of what comics

I really like to read so That's that's what I

was kind of expecting from the answers kind of

And I should have phrased it better to get those

answers, but you guys did great I am a little

jealous of some of those X -Men issues you have.

Maybe I would just trade a couple for those.

I can trade you X -Men number one from the 90s,

because that one's super rare. Sure it is. For

X -Men number four. One became a 4 -4, right?

Isn't that how it works? I'll trade you X -Men

number one for, I think I have Fantastic Four

number... 452 maybe Just nothing happens in that

issue Now I'm I'm pretty proud of some of the

runs that I've put together I think I have I

have uncanny X -Men I think from It's like the

mid -200s like 240s or something all the way

up to Like 370s or something like that. I have

a nice run going there I think I have my head

as you're saying it Chuck. So And then I think

I have the silver surfer third volume. I think

I have like one through 110 or something like

that. You have a massive silver surfer collection.

I'll try and find some for you. Sometimes the

con, it's like, Chuck, here's one. You're like,

no, I have that one. I'm like, oh, OK. There

was a time where I had certain ones I'm missing,

but I actually filled the entire run now. I think

I have it's like a little bit more than one through

110 or 120 or something like that. I remember

when books would get up that high. Yeah We went

five issues restart over again. Nobody will buy

this issue number six. That's a way too high

of a number Well DC's going back to their old

numbering thing now with their rebirth thing

Are they really? Yeah, they're going back to

the original numbering system for some of that

like detective comics and action comics and stuff

So they said they're hopeful they actually might

reach issue 1000 on a couple of those Interesting

because I was looking at them and I saw rebirth

number one and Interesting. Yeah, I just saw

that they signed they signed Tom King to an exclusive

deal which makes me sad because he was writing

vision and I love that book so The vision where

they're out in the suburbs kind of situation

like it's like a vision and it's like a weird

movie. It's yeah really good though Read the

first one. I was like This was not what I was

expecting. So it's kind of like when you're eating

something or you're like expecting Oh, I'm gonna

be putting a nice piece of steak in my mouth

and it's like a nice aged old cheese and it's

like Yeah, I could see that I could see that

Chuck what do you have? Okay, let's see this

minor kind of more for both you guys Yeah, those

were the only ones that were individual all my

other ones are for both of you This one's sort

of I guess something we Talked in great depth

about last episode and that's the Deadpool movie.

So my question is for both you guys fact or fiction

Years from now we will look back on Deadpool

as groundbreaking for all the great are rated

comic book films that came after it Well, first

I'm going to say fiction, so I don't forget later

on and be like, so is that a fact or fiction?

But I don't be like, can you ask the question?

That's what I usually do. But I don't think there's

anything quite like Deadpool that could even

come close to treading in its path. You know

what I mean? I think there's some great r -rated

or comic books that could come out r -rated I

think they'll do it on their own merit, but I

don't think there's anybody that could quite

tread the same path as Deadpool I think it's

kind of Original I don't think you're gonna get

anything else like it, but that being said like

if you came out with mall man plans That would

be a great r -rated movie. I think but it's it's

nowhere close to being like anything Kind of

a type of story like Deadpool. I don't know if

you saw James Gunn regarding the success of Deadpool.

I see that now. I think he makes a really great

point regarding Deadpool wasn't successful because

it was R -rated. It was successful because it

was a really good movie that was unique and original.

The rating really didn't have as much to do about

it. And I agree with that. I think Deadpool is

a really great R -rated movie. But I think the

wrong takeaway would be, OK, we now can make

more R -rated. Movies it's like that's not I

think a lot of people want to go see that not

knowing what the rating was guarding to the galaxy

Wasn't successful because it was PG -13. It was

successful because it was funny original and

really good and So I hope that the lesson isn't,

okay, let's just throw R rated movies out there.

Like I heard some people saying, oh, now we can

make a Spawn movie. I'm like, the success of

Deadpool. We already did that. The success, what

was PG -13 when it came out? So people were like,

oh, now we can make an R rated one. Like the

success of Deadpool would have nothing to do

with the success of Spawn because they're so

different. I think actually that was rated PG

awful. pretty god -awful is what it's perfect

perfect i don't know i i'm sorry i don't know

if you're finished in yeah so i like i'm i think

it's showing it's possible but adding people

saying oh now wolverine should be rated r i'm

like i don't think wolverine needs to be rated

r i think uh Hugh Jackman even mentioned that

he doesn't want it to be because he has a lot

of kids that come to him that are really young

that he wouldn't want to make an art rated movie

and i think i kind of understand that so maybe

we'll see there'll be more But I don't necessarily

think that after the hangover, people are like,

oh, now we can make R -rated comedies again.

But then they made a lot of bad R -rated comedies

that weren't nearly as good. So it's like the

key, I think, is always going to be making good

movies. And that's what will be successful, rating

or not. So maybe more will be made now than before.

Because now you can say, hey, Deadpool was successful,

and that was rated R. So maybe we could get a

Punisher movie, or we can get something else.

I don't know. So I guess I'll say fiction, but

I guess fact in a way too. I don't know. I pulled

a Greg there. That's why I answered it first.

What's the question? I don't know. You bring

up a great point, but I think there's also another

side of the coin that you can't really forget

and that's that like some of the less prominent

comics that people have really heard of, but

clearly would have a sort of an R rated theme

even in the comic. Like maybe now People look

at sort of adapting them into a film where they

wouldn't have thought of doing it before because

of the success of Deadpool so I think it just

opens up some opportunities like that and Gives

people a chance to explore some other movies

just my personal opinion I don't think it's I

don't know if he'd necessarily call it groundbreaking

But I think it might I think it definitely will

have an influence in some way bringing some more

adaptations maybe from some things that we normally

wouldn't have seen somehow. I could see that

for sure. Hey, if they can get Cable to work,

I think there's no limits to what Deadpool can

accomplish. Yeah, especially if they do Kevin

Nash and they get him to somehow work in that

movie. Well, I mean, he was a gigantic success

in his work in Magic Mike. So probably seeing

that thinking this is a start waiting to happen.

You know, we've all seen Magic Mike Right. I

went to see it strictly to see Kevin Nash dance.

That's that's all Okay But all right my next

factor fiction getting away from that as quickly

as possible Factor fiction any food is breakfast

food if you eat it early enough fact, but I think

McDonald's is bullshit for saying they invented

breakfast it all day all day long that is Bullshit

McDonald's, I wish they would pull those commercials.

Are you one that will eat anything for breakfast,

or do you have a social... Well, you don't eat

breakfast usually, right? I've actually been

eating a lot more during the weekdays. Well,

actually, no, I just kind of eat cereal for lunch,

I guess you would say. So I guess I don't really

eat breakfast at all. Yeah. When on the odd opportunity

that I do wake up early enough for it, I do eat

breakfast. Yes. Anymore. My stomach's been a

lot better than it has been. So especially if

I'm home and I'm not going anywhere. So I know

if I'm going to explode digestively. I know I

have a bathroom to run to. Nice, nice. Chuck?

I'm going to say fiction, because I mean, I have

a pretty much cast iron stomach for the most

part. But I have seen Chuck eat one of those

Thursdays. What is it? Thursdays? No. Ruby Tuesdays.

Wow, I really had to go through the days of the

week. What are those? Thank God it's Thursday,

Tuesday, Ruby. Thank God it's Ruby Thursday.

I was going through the days of the week in my

head, seriously, to come up with that. It was

Emerald Thursdays. But I saw Chuck eat at a Ruby

Tuesdays. What are those? Uh, the, the huge colossal

burger or whatever it was. And like, I, like,

I think it was me, you and Dan all had one coincidentally

and you had yours done. I think in five minutes,

I like just started to eat. Like I was third

of the way through mine. Like, and I wasn't really

looking at anybody when we got it and I ate third

of it. And then I looked over at you and yours

was completely. freaking gone, french fries and

all, and I was like, Chuck, what the hell happened?

How much time has passed? You inhaled that sucker.

Isn't that when the waitress came over and she's

like, oh, does anyone want dessert? I was like,

everyone else is eating. I'm like done sitting

there with my arms crossed. Yeah. I was amazed

by that. Sometimes I, sometimes I really get

hungry and I could definitely down a burger,

but I don't know. I love a lot of different foods.

There's very few things I won't eat. There's

a very short list, which includes olives and

mushrooms. I will not touch those. Oh, black

olives? Oh, gosh, that's disgusting. Oh, I love

black olives, Chuck. We have cans of black olives

at my house, and we'll just crack them open and

just eat them during the meal. Seriously? The

hell is wrong with you? Yes. Oh, I love black

olives. You can't get the crappy ones that you

get like at a salad bar or something because

then they just taste like black rubber and they're

disgusting I Don't know that's just that's disturbing.

I don't know if I'm gonna get to sleep tonight

No, and then I don't know I can't stand mushrooms,

but pretty much everything else I'm not a seafood

fan, but it's it doesn't taste terrible, but

I've ever had else but like for breakfast Rusted

tilapia is really good Chuck Maybe. For breakfast,

though, I don't think, like, I don't think there's

any way I would eat mayonnaise for breakfast.

I just don't see that happening at all. Or mustard

or any sort of things like that. I've had pizza

for breakfast, definitely, in the college days.

Probably at some point I've had like meatloaf

for breakfast or something, but I don't know.

Well, me loves kind of like a Scrabble almost

that that's a breakfast meal type of thing. It's

a Scrabble. Yes Just going after the Scrabble

socks is all you get. See, I've eaten way too

many bad things for breakfast. For the Super

Bowl, we made barbecue nachos, barbecue chicken

nachos, and we had some left over. And the next

day, I was off. I'm like, I'm going to so have

these for breakfast. And I did not regret it

in the least, maybe a little bit. But yeah, so

I have a tendency to eat whatever for breakfast

and tend to eat it cold, too, because I tend

to prefer. Foods cold rather than microwaves

because I feel like the microwave tends to take

your mad man. I know I just hate leftovers in

general You just feed them to you they're left

for you since you like them so exactly Ship all

your leftovers to me then All right, Greg moving

back over to you do you anymore? Ah, yes, I do

this one's more for Chuck This question is gonna

confuse you guys, but factor fiction Haley at

well have at it. There you go. That is a fact

That's what I was looking for Not sure what I'm

agreeing to here, but All I know is I like her

and you know, I really like her Roll on the agent

Carter and everything pretty much like everything

about her I think I follow her on Twitter and

she's pretty cool on there. So I don't know fact.

I don't know what This is why I asked this question

I agree with its fact because she's a real person.

So is that the question? That is in fact her

name most it was mostly for Chuck do you want

a different question Dan go for it? Okay factor

fiction human minds will be stored on hard drives

in our lifetime Now do you want to go back to

the hilly? I'll go with human minds I'll go see

you got a difficult tricky question, and I just

had to think about a pretty girl I Have easy

on this one. I just wanted you to confess your

love for on the podcast Chuck I'll go with the

human mind is the hard drive is in our lifetime

as fiction. I just don't think That would happen.

Oh really wrong Skynet could be real, but I'm

gonna go with fiction for now We've actually

had and I've watched a documentary about it where

this guy who's a futurist and he's actually Predicted

a lot of things that have have come to fruition.

I'm not sure of his statistics if how many he's

gotten wrong Futurist yes, it's like a made -up

position of like someone that can't get a job

and they just know no It's an actual thing is

that like Tony Stark is a futurist kind of he

kind of He's also made of character Lobo Dan,

but this guy's a real guy and he is a futurist

I forget his name futurist aka. I can't find

a real job He predicts Rhythms of things going

on and everything and he he predicts that in

like the next like 15 to 25 years that we're

gonna be able to Store memories and everything

on computers and and such like that So if they

plug into your hard drive, Greg would would someone

automatically get a virus? Yes My mind is very

dirty. I'm still thinking about last episode

when I ended on Morena background or whatever

her hell her last name is it doesn't matter.

She's Yeah, I don't know what it is It's gorgeous.

All I'm picturing is that one scene that I seriously.

Yeah, we know. Yeah, you do. It passed way too

fast. I wanted to go slower. And you probably

saw me instantly like like my whole body just

probably did not see anything. I probably left

out of my seat a little bit in the. Watching

that scene, but yeah. Chuck on to you. Do you

have any other futurist factor fictions? Of course,

let me see Okay, how about this one? This is

before both of you again factor fiction DC is

joining the party way too late for making a cinematic

universe and Being light years behind Marvel.

It will seriously affect their profits What do

you think I'm gonna go I think they'll still

be successful. I think Batman or Superman will

probably make a ton of money just because of

the name recognition of those two characters.

You don't think within a couple of years they'll

be like a superhero fatigue or and they're gonna

kind of miss the window that Marvel hit pretty

squarely. I feel like all companies have been

able to keep the movies fresh enough, like to

the point where Suicide Squad doesn't even look

like a superhero movie. You know what I mean?

So I just I wonder and Wonder Woman almost could

easily be more of a fantasy film than it is a

superhero movie. Like a like a classic gladiator

movie in that sense. So it's just guessing. But

there may be. But I feel like every time we talk

about superhero fatigue and then another movie

makes a billion dollars. So. Yeah, yeah, so I

would think we're at least maybe five years away

from that and if anything the company that might

see fatigue would be Marvel because Where was

kind of and at the point where they're giving

us more of the same even if the same is good

But maybe that people will now gravitate towards

DC because it's a different flavor But if DC

sucks then that would change the game exactly

that could drastically change it true, but I'm

hoping I'm hoping I'm holding out hope that it

won't. Yes. If it goes over as well as the TV

universe, then I would say then they have some

promise. So, Greg, what do you think? I'm forgetting

whether this is how to factor fiction this, but

my explanation is I definitely think that DC

is definitely catch up here. And I'm not sure

if from what I'm seeing from the trailers or

anything, if they're They're kind of like a quarterback,

a rookie quarterback in hurry up mode. They're

trying to catch up and everything. They're behind

by 20 points with not a lot of time on the clock.

So they're making bad decisions and making bad

throws. I feel like that's DC right now is a

rookie quarterback behind in the game. So I'm

not sure if that's a factor of fiction towards

your question or not, but that's my answer. Do

you think they're going to like... kind of missed

this window and Be making the bulk of their movies

after like superhero exhaustion and they're gonna

they're well I think they're gonna start the

superhero exhaustion with definitely them and

Marvel pumping out movies and Like I said, I

don't think they're gonna hit the mark as well.

So I think People are gonna get tired of crappy

movies with it Sorry to say So I think they're

gonna help wear it out Definitely sooner than

just Marvel by itself going here. Yeah. So with

a good segue there, let me ask you guys a quick

follow up. Do you feel like everything for DC

is sort of riding on Batman versus Superman?

Like this is their Hail Mary at the beginning

kind of, because if this one is terrible, is

that going to ruin people's trust? Like Marvel

was quick out of the gate and built people's

trust quickly. Like if this is terrible, is this

going to like really hurt them? I think not since

like I think Suicide Squad would be able to separate

itself enough. Yeah, I agree with that Dan. So

because I mean I Wasn't the hugest fan of Man

of Steel and this is very much the same as Man

of Steel But I feel like it's different enough

that I'm still excited for Batman v Superman

and if that doesn't really That isn't successful.

It ends up being a bad. I feel like when I look

at suicide squad It's almost like it's a complete.

It's almost might as well be something completely

unrelated. So I would say it's it still has a

chance it may hurt it some but I don't think

it would completely kill my my help for it just

like if Avengers wasn't good. It would still

be excited for dr. Strange. Yeah I would say

that um, yeah, I think it would have a crippling

effect, but I still think they're able to crawl

away a little bit from it. But it may hurt their

chances with other movies because it's like they're

starting off with the Avengers instead of starting

off with like they had Incredible Hulk with Ed

Norton. And that was kind of like after Iron

Man and They went into the Avengers with both

those characters, but Incredible Hulk didn't

do so well. They didn't have Ed Norton come back

and everything, but they could kind of fix that.

But if they're kind of all together, I think

it's a little bit harder to fix going in that

direction than how Marvel did. Yeah, especially

with everything they're throwing into this. i'm

hearing we're supposed to have like aquaman and

cyborg make appearances and everything holy crap

yeah like not a big they're trying they're trying

to stuff it full it's like the the old batman

movies where like oh we've got batman oh batman

robin uh batman robin batgirl uh bane uh poison

ivy mr freeze like they're just trying to stuff

it all in there to make it as awesome as possible

and that's not really how you make an awesome

movie that's how you make a Routed movie that's

tough to get all the parts to fit together, right?

Yeah I'm just hoping like a lot of those characters

are super quick cameos or something like that

or you just like see them Do you like what the

some of the only old 90s cartoons would do where

we're just show them watching like the news Footage

and it just would go around to kind of show the

universe by seeing Aquaman watching the news,

which we kind of Don't the fish tell them the

news like maybe Damn, the school of fish are

getting in my way again. Mera, get these fish

out of my way. All right, I do have another one.

I'll go with this one for you guys, both of you.

Fact or fiction, the invention of the smartphone

has doubled your average bathroom time. Fiction,

because I've always spent all... crap load of

time in the bathroom. I am not a quick pooper.

I take my time because my stomach takes a while

to get it all out and everything. And then if

I think I'm done and I get up and wipe and everything,

get out of there. Like two minutes later, I'll

be back anyway. So I just sit there and kind

of wait for it. It's a very detailed description.

I had a very detailed poop. No, you had to expect

it from me. I am the worst human being possible.

So having double it has maybe your invention

of a smartphone though has maybe made it more

enjoyable. Yes, it has. Otherwise, I would take

books in before anyway. So it's made it so I

have not been able to read as much. More efficient.

Because in that time period, you have consumed

more information. Yeah. Maybe. I might have to

say fact for me. I think it just may have, maybe

not quite doubled it, but at least not at work

because it's weird. Like I don't, I don't really

do that at work because I try to get out of there

as quick as possible at work. Cause usually some

American pie, usually some weirdo comes in and

sits in the stall next to me and you know, it

just ends up reeking. So I'm like, I get to get

out of there as quickly as possible. But, um,

yeah, smartphones are, your facilities are really

nice at a pen dot there, Chuck. Yeah. Well, it's

just a note like, oh my gosh, bathroom etiquette.

Like people don't know it. Like there's like

a bunch of stalls and like someone comes in the

one right next to you. I'm like, really? Like,

come on. Like, I know there's a wall here, but

it's like personal space, dude. Like go down

one, like skip one. We are friends. Like, I don't

want to see your foot twitching while you're

squeezing one out. Like, I don't want to see

that. Oh my gosh. Or the brunting. It's just

like, it doesn't add, it does not add the ambience

of this moment. No. So. You can't, you can't

enjoy a good article while that's going on. I'm

trying to send a tweet. It's just, you know,

it's distracting. Greg, do you have any more?

Yes. Fact or fiction? This is an easy one. You

organize your comics in alphabetical order. Yeah

fact I usually go I went by Company and then

by alphabet so Okay, very nice Chuck Movies as

well, so I have not organized my movies in a

while. Okay. I was gonna be upset at you damn

I see I used to try to do it by genre and that's

just a fool's errand. Yeah I see this is why

I asked the question about comic books is I never

know exactly because there's so many different

titles like you have the amazing spider -man

the Peter Parker spider -man like Spectacular

spider -man it's just like okay So am I just

going by spider -man and then into this or am

I put an amazing? in like in front with like

I don't have it, but like Amazing Fantasy number

15. Like how does that work? That's a conundrum.

I would if it's like a Amazing Fantasy a story

like that that is kind of a what are they called

anthology series? I would go with a what if it's

like Amazing Spider -Man and like the idea is

I'm it's a Spider -Man comic I would put it within

the other Spider -Man comics But just put it

probably put it first because my thinking is

if I'm looking for Spider -Man, I'm probably

gonna go to s first. Yeah Sorry Chuck weak we

kind of interrupted you and kind of answered

for you, but I'd still like your answer No Actually,

I'm fiction I Really I don't do it. I do it kind

of by long box and I mean, I think we all pretty

much try to cram as much as we can in the long

box, but I think, like, I have an X -Men box.

So, like, I have all my X titles in there. Regular

X -Men, Uncanny X -Men, X -Men Unlimited, X -Force,

X -Factor, like, all those, like, all my X titles

in there. Even, like, even some of the solo characters

that got their own lines, like, Gambit, Rogue,

Bishop, some of those. Like, I have all the...

X stuff in one area and then I'll have like I

have like another box of all my Silver Surfer

stuff and spacey stuff like Infinity Gauntlet

and Warlock and Infinity Watch stuff and Guardians

of the Galaxy and like all the spacey stuff I

have in in sort of one box because I the reason

I did it that way is because I found like when

I'm when I go looking for something most likely

I'm gonna be looking for Things related to that.

So I'm I figure while I'm in that box. I might

as well be Getting everything I need instead

of looking through multiple boxes just because

like guardians the galaxy would be G and silver

servers s I don't be going in different boxes.

Like if I'm looking for that stuff, like I want

to stay in one box so I kind of did that way

like all my spider -man titles I have in one

box or two boxes and You know just stuff like

that all the Avengers stuff whether it's West

Coast, which is W or a for Avengers It's I have

it all in one area. Yeah, I feel like I need

somebody to come over Yeah, I know I've heard

of people like just generally organizing them

into kind of like the likes of like spider -man

all spider -man in this box like these couple

boxes and then they have catalog of like a binder

filled with paper and they'll have like box a

one and they'll have like the comics listed in

that box a two comics listed in that so they

could just kind of look up and they'll have like

the A's are like a comic books, like Amazing

Spider, Amazing Fantasy, Alpha Flight and stuff

like that. And like the B's would be. So it's

like a kind of a look up system. Yeah, I kind

of just something like that, like I have a notebook

and I numbered all my long boxes like I wrote

like with a marker. on the front of it and circled

it. And then in my notebook page, I have the

box number and then all the titles in that box.

So like if I'm looking for something from a certain

title, I know which box to go in and stuff. Cool.

Chuck, did you have more? Yeah, I could do another

one. This may create some controversy, but. Think

it'll be healthy for us And that's it for talking

in circles, this has been the hundredth and last

episode nothing that Factor fiction the flash

is the best comic book show on TV right now When

you say TV do you include Netflix? Yes, anything

that's not a film It's kind of comparing apples

and oranges, but I Think Daredevil would be a

better one. I do really like me some flash But

I think Daredevil was so good all the way around

uh plus flash kind of has more out there so that

kind of skews their average uh little wonky and

everything in daredevil's kind of been tight

but it's been a shorter run i'm gonna have to

go with daredevil or flash so i'm gonna go fiction

please don't hurt me uh i'm probably along the

same lines like it's oh i'm just comparing season

one of daredevil to season one of flash those

are things that easily for me would be the You

know what it wouldn't one in 1a. Oh, don't forget.

I'm this isn't necessarily Superhero comic books.

Oh, then you know walking dead walking dead Yeah,

this this season This season walking dead has

not been We need him to host the show. Otherwise,

we're screwed. Let's try rebooting him. Yeah

So I like walking dead, but I still think I enjoy

I feel daredevil It's hard to say because you're

looking at what six seasons compared to one But

looking at the first season daredevil compared

to the first season walking dead. There's no

comparison, but Like I think walking dead to

really great at times. Like it's really like

it's Walking Dead has this this kind of bipolar

personality where either everything happens or

nothing happens and when everything is happening

It's great, but when nothing happens sometimes

it like it's gets a little tedious, but I do

like both shows But I think Daredevil to me I

was just like it's hard to even quantify it as

a TV show because of what it's able to do like

it's Action scene wise it's impressive though

Walking Dead it has its moments as well, but

I think acting storytelling Character development

the whole package Daredevil and I would probably

then go walking dead and then probably go flash

Overall for just comic book TV shows. I'm not

there's anything else. I'm forgetting that's

currently comic TV show I Zombie I haven't watched

that. I want to see it, but I haven't got around

to it Agent Carter. I haven't really watched

Asian Carter. So the season got some not I haven't

really I've watched like the first two, three

episodes and I haven't caught up with it. I've

actually been keeping up with it. See, like,

I was going to wait and watch it on Netflix,

but it's never come on Netflix yet. So I haven't

been able to finish season one. So, yeah, I'm

going to go with Fiction and Daredevil. So that

took a lot longer than it should have been. I'm

actually going to disagree with you guys and

say fact because I am loving Flash right now.

Yes, you love it so much. Why don't you marry

it? I'm gonna put a ring on it. I'm getting the

flash ringtone for my phone. No, I did enjoy

Daredevil a lot and Don't get me wrong. They

did some great things in in that 13 episode arc,

but to me it's just that it's 13 episodes and

Flash has been super consistent for me for these

first two seasons now and I guess I didn't realize

that until I had something to compare it to,

which was Arrow in this case. And I see how inconsistent

Arrow has been. And I look at like, you know,

season two of Arrow is awesome. Season three,

not so good. Season four, still not so good because

they don't really have a good villain like they

did before. But Flash has everything I'm looking

for and it has stayed consistent, in my opinion.

And Even even like on their Filler episodes that

you might eat like most shows have like I don't

feel like they really have Filler episodes I

feel like it's usually high octane most of the

time and there's usually really really interesting

things going on Easter eggs. They're throwing

in References and especially with the added excitement

of the shared universe like they're they're thrown

in things about Team Arrow and they're thrown

in things about legends of tomorrow and they

have little things going on with Supergirl and

everything. I really like what flash is doing

every week. The writing to me is Exceptional,

I think I don't know. I just I really really

like what they're doing how they set things up

and It it doesn't seem to ever get boring even

though it's it's like a 23 Episode thing throughout

the season or however many they have I just feel

like it's kept up that level the entire time

and Maybe maybe after season two Daredevil is

released If that remains just as consistent,

you know, maybe I'll have to reconsider but going

to flash for now Yeah, I really like flash and

I guess the only my only complaint with this

season is I like the character zoo I think is

like he is this frightening force. I just found

I might be the minority I think I liked season

one more because I felt Harrison Wells Was much

more of a compelling villain for me than zoom

is at this point because right now we don't really

ease kind of just this mystery and I think that

it's an interesting mystery, but I like I would

I want to get to know like what exactly and it's

something that could happen in upcoming episodes

like Like what is his motivation beyond just

wanting to get the speed force? Like why is it

that like where is this coming from? Like what

is his end goal? And we didn't completely get

that with Harrison Wells But I at least felt

like we got to know him and he was he was such

a I don't know multi -dimensional character and

even now in this season and we are Getting that

quite with zoom and I know it's a different approach.

She's more of like this This is furious figure

that like is frightening and you need like you

could destroy you in a moment's notice I think

that's effective. But At this point, I would

wish we got a little bit more. Like I said, it's

possible with the season coming. I just mystery

can be Great for a show because it can keep you

like guessing but sometimes it can hurt a show

when you don't have a Better understanding of

where things are coming from. I'm not saying

flash is there yet, but I'm just saying that's

why I think I'd like season one at This point

more than season two which could change and you

know And I think they're trying to finally with

these are two episodes kind of get into what

what zooms deal is Yeah, I actually was thinking

about that very thing this morning and about

zoom and the mystery behind him and I think I'm

actually enjoying it more that the fact that

he's such a mystery. And on one hand, I'm dying

to find out like who he is. But the more I thought

about it, I'm like, I think it might ruin it

for me if I know who he is, because like Chuck

right now, he's just like a zoom. I am zoom.

He's just like a supernatural force. Like he

looks like a demon. He's got these black shark

eyes and it's like he doesn't look human. So

I feel like if if they reveal him, it'll almost

ruin it for me at least. And what how I'm relating

to the character. What if we find out he is also

a futurist? I don't know. Well, see, he's actually

doing something about it. He's not just sitting

around contemplating things. So. I have ideas

of who he could be because you feel like it has

to be someone that you know, right? Like if you

don't Yeah, I feel like it's got to be someone

that would it would make it would pack a powerful

emotional punch for Barry. It's gotta be But

I thought I had a good idea like I'll just say

it. I thought it was like well That'd be really

weird. I Thought it'd be his dad either from

Earth to just because like yeah he kind of has

the build that same build or something but yeah

that's my guess i don't know they've hinted at

other speed characters with wally west and then

a few others too so i don't know it'd be the

what is this the guy's name um the the flash

from earth to his his real name Jay Garrick?

Jay Garrick in Earth One, like his real, the

name that he was using, I guess. Oh, Hunter Zalomon?

Yeah, he's another speedster, I guess. Who actually

was the first Zoom in the comics, so. Yeah, so,

but I'm like, well, then that doesn't make sense

because he's, so, I don't know. He's in Earth

One all the time, yeah. Yeah. Yeah, I don't know.

I actually, I had this crazy thought of like,

what if it's Earth Two Oliver? I don't think

anybody would see that coming but I've heard

rumors that are supposed to see Oliver in Earth

2 and he's supposed to be like Dark Knight returns

Oliver Yeah, I actually I think they showed a

kind of a glimpse of when they're traveling through

the breach Actually, no, it wasn't Oliver. There

were a lot of people were saying that was a Connor

Hawk version of green arrow, but Did you see

that when they were traveling through that breach

like some of the cool things they were showing?

No, I missed that person. They were when they

were going to Earth to and they travel through

the portal. There's like images passing by on

the sides of them. And there was some really

cool things like if you pause it, you can kind

of pick out like I think they show Jonah Hex

actually. And there's like a glimpse of Supergirl

flying. And they show a legion ring from the

Legion of Superheroes and stuff from the future.

So speaking of which, I tried to watch that cartoon.

God -awful It's on Amazon. I was just like this

is not I mean, I should say it's really kiddy.

It's really Oh, that's so they thought comics

were for back in the day. Well, no, it's from

like 2000 Oh, really? Yeah. Well, I thought you

were talking about Legion of superheroes back

in the day like meanwhile It came after Justice

League ended. It came on after that. Meanwhile,

back in the Hall of Justice. No, it's not. It's

like 2008. I forget. It's late. It's like after

we... Yeah, it's like 2008, I think it came out.

Wow. I don't know. But yeah, interesting. Anything

else? Any other fact or fiction you guys wanted

to bring up? So 2008, and you're so 2000 and

late. Yeah, a little late on that one. You guys

have any more? Are you guys good? I'll do one

real real quick one. Okay. Fact or fiction, John

Bernthal's Punisher will be the definitive live

-action Punisher when Daredevil is set and done.

Ah man. I know it's hard to, it's impossible

to say without seeing it, but just be - I really

like the Thomas Jane version though. Yeah, I

wanna go fiction because I feel like he's gonna

be more villainous in this, so I wonder if like,

like if he is gonna be - A different type of

Punisher than we expect. So I think Thomas James

will still be the one that I like the most. Yeah

Yeah, I think I definitely think I'm sure The

Tom Jane one definitely appeals more to his Humanity

and you find yourself cheering for him. But this

this version that's it definitely looks like

they're kind of Villainizing him if that's a

word and I'm guessing you're gonna be gonna be

cheering for Daredevil. I don't know. We'll see

though Yeah, I don't know if that's just me thinking

of that actor and his other roles and how he's

been kind of on hand just before, so. Maybe,

you know, he'll convince, maybe he'll convince

Daredevil's wife that he's dead and up with her

and have a baby with her. I'm waiting for like

the Walking Dead, like Daredevil, Mashup, I'm

sure those are coming. Oh yeah. We'll see. But

before we get go I did want to thank everyone
