Where you go to pay for an argument? Anybody
fan of Mons Python? Wrong room. This is the room
of ruminations. Arguments are right over there.
Do I have the room of arguments? No, you're not
the room of arguments. Wait a second. Your sign
-out says, yes, you are. No, I'm not. Yes, you
are. No, you're not. Yes, I am. Wait a second.
That would be $5, please, sir. Wait, that's not
an argument. Yes, it was. Yeah, I'm a huge money
pot something. Oh, I did not know that. Yes,
ma 'am. I've listened to all their audio. Oh
Yeah, big time You're either oh my god how not
to be seen All right, so I think we're gonna
get this thing kicked off here Well, it's about
fucking time yeah okay tell him oh wait i'll
be right back no i'm serious i'll be right back
whatever but serve as your man oh good lord thank
god you started by going online thank god 30
minutes i figured out how to get my 30 minutes
and by making your recording not work i got my
30 minutes of prepping Thank God there are no
sex podcasts Why the hell would people listen
that Why the hell would people buy sex iPhone
apps Of course, they're talking about your sex
iPhone app that you just broke. The verbal abuse
app? Yeah, they like it that way. Yep. Alright.
So, let's see here. Of course, now the stupid
money ain't gonna work. Damn it. Hello and welcome
to GeekCast Radio, episode 12. I am your host,
TFC1Mike, and joining me is two of the three
Power Geeks. Hello. Why don't you introduce yourselves,
ladies first. Okay, in that case. Alright, Kristen.
He called you a lady, which we don't necessarily
go to, but go ahead. Well, I'm the lady, but
someone else is the girl of the bunch. Exactly.
This is Kristen from Geek Girls Network. This
is Steven Mullen from The Power Geeks and Hearts
Unknown. Known to me, not to anybody else. God
for that. So how did you guys, this is the first
time I've talked to you guys. How did you guys
start up The Power Geeks? OK. It was me and Jeremy
who originally started The Power Geeks and a
guy named Frank Trigg which we had on recently
which nobody's ever heard of because I borked
this audio for our very first Power Geeks. Anyways,
I was doing the power of information on Genesis
Radio and a couple other KCAA with somebody named
Derek Alfonso and that went off the air and I
decided that I wanted to keep doing this but
I wanted to do a hot guest format. So I came
up with The Power Geeks, I put out a casting
call. on Twitter of all places. I had just signed
up for Twitter, put out a casting call, and I
had both Frank and Jeremy immediately message.
I was like, dude, I'm just going to do this because
it'll probably take me a couple weeks to really
find good people to come on. Anyways, within
like two seconds, they had messaged back saying,
hey, I want to try. So that's how the Power Geek
started. Cool. And then they stalked me until
I joined. Yes, and I was officially Kristen's
first and only stalker. yeah she was like dude
go away and I was like no no no you must come
on no no go the heck away I was like I can be
creepy okay maybe I'll come on so you won't be
creepy that's how our first conversation went
well the funny thing about Kristen is she talks
just like she twitters without all the misspelling
hey I feel just fine thank you oh yeah i don't
know if you are you for your listeners i don't
know if they know this but mike is constantly
on my ass about my spelling and i'm trying to
type fast i usually only have like five minutes
during the day to get on twitter to say hello
and the first thing out of his mouth not good
morning not nice to see you wait a second wait
a second stop that's not all the time it's just
like it's it's because my twitter feed is so
large now I haven't seen you say good morning,
so I'll see you say something else, and it'll
be like spelled backwards. Hey, whatever works.
See, whatever gets your attention. That's her
point. Well, and now, I'll be very honest. Like,
before I go to send a tweet, I will double check
it before I hit send. I hope Mike's not reading
this. Me? I just freaking just start spewing
explicatives. Yeah, your problem on Twitter is
you retweet everything people tell you. So they
see the same thing that they asked you already
with along with your answer. That's your problem.
Oh, okay. Okay. This is the thing for me. I mean,
Twitter is a lot of things for different people.
But what torters for me is it is a conversation
piece. But the problem with conversations on
Twitter is you only always see one side of the
story. It's really annoying. Right, unless you're
friends with both parties. Unless you're friends
with both parties. So I got to go look at the
other person, go look at their Twitter feed,
try to guesstimate what time they said this and
what time you replied. It's annoying. Yeah. So
no, I always tweet whatever they say on the other
side. There's a lot of times that I don't know
what you're talking about when you retweet stuff
and I get to see, like, that's how you make extra
friends too. You retweet something. I'm like,
oh, I like what they're saying. I'm going to
go follow them now too. See? So you're like the
minority here, Mike. Kristen's the cool girl.
She's agreeing with me for once. I'll pay you
after this, Kristen. Don't worry. Let's mark
this day. It'll never happen again. It was a
20. It was a 20 that day. Oh, what was I going
to say? I don't even remember now. That's OK.
Have you ever gotten your soap yet? Because every
time I see a picture of that thing, I'm like,
why would I want Han Solo's hand on my ass? Oh,
you know, I thought that exact same thing. I'm
thinking, I want to use the bottom of this bar
because there's no way I'm going to scrub Han
Solo's face in my nether regions. I'm just saying.
Now, Kristen might like that. I don't know. I
cannot wait to get my hands on that soap. OK,
moving right along. All right, so. uh... the
do we want to bring up any like current news
or anything for actually in the topic i've had
three hundred thousand sold is that crazy a lot
of yesmen out there a lot of a lot of a lot of
uh... job blowers i'm actually i'm gonna do a
search for this now and you guys will just have
to watch it later but i follow somebody on twitter
that does uh... like all these apple updates
it's not i don't think it's an official apple
twitter account but it's like some Apple fan
or something and the Apple blog I Might be I'm
not sure They posted a link to a video of a guy
that apparently bought three iPads and Decided
to smash one of them with a baseball bat That's
just sick seriously, that's like taking $800
and like setting it on fire Yeah, that is stupid,
but I'm sure hilarious for us Even find it funny.
I just found it extremely stupid because it's
one of those things where Well, you know like
you said Stephen, it's a you know $500 or whatever.
It's five hundred dollars. He wasted Yeah, I
mean okay. Here's the thing service says most
iPad owners have Macs and iPhones So yeah, these
are people who already have bought into the the
Apple Method odd now don't get me wrong And John,
I'm sure if you're listening to this, you'll
call me on this and flame me for it. If they
had a couple more features, I actually might
think about an iPad. Oh my god! It's a good piece
of hardware. The only thing is, it's not multitasking.
I mean, okay, it's selective multitasking, how
Apple wants you to multitask. They don't have
that. They don't have camera on it. A camera.
I just want a camera that I can sit there and
Skype somebody with the camera on. A camera on
the front would be nice. I don't even care about
a camera on the back. Whatever. I'm going to
take a picture with my kids. I've got a phone
for that. Whatever. Those two things and a microphone.
You know, a built -in microphone to go with the
camera. And I might actually think about buying
an iPad. It's like a real half -ass laptop is
what it is. It's cool on you want to admit to
this but um we were looking at Music software
and how it relates to the iPad and they have
Apps like music software apps mixers and all
kinds of stuff for like 99 cents when the Actual
device itself is like six hundred two thousand
dollars. It's like hey buy yourself a mixer for
99 cents So if you want to mind the six hundred
dollars, I don't know maybe like on the DJ aspect
of it It's actually pretty cool. There's a lot
of stuff you can do with it But that's about
it. Oh, hey, look at this iPad jailbroken in
record time see the video No, you are already
already jailbroken That's awesome Yeah, I mean
so if there obviously is a demand out there and
there there's if I remember right from our show
They're expecting to sell five to eight million
of these Couch Coasters how would you describe
my cat? Yeah, see that's the thing. Here's the
shiny pillows Nice soft, but yeah, I see what
you're saying. There's the link it was on gizmodo
I guess but it's the guys You know what we before
you can get into that I used to read gizmodo
religiously cuz they always have cool stuff and
it's always breaking but they are so on the Apple
You know what that like it's ridiculous. It's
all they talk about is Apple products now and
that's for I mean There are a few products out
there that not apples that I'm kind of interested
in like when HP came out with their touch smart
computer I want one of those things those things
look awesome The HD did you see the new video
for the the HP sleep? Yeah, I don't really care
for What about the Toshiba that could be a laptop
and a tablet at the same or that one? It's the
one red and black one. I can't remember the maker
of it. Yeah, I think it was Toshiba It is Toshiba.
Yeah, you pull off the top and it becomes a tablet
and you plug it back in it immediately syncs
back up That's cool. I could buy one of those
I could see myself buying one of those I don't
mind paying the $900 it would take to give me
both types of functionality Just $800 for a plain
tablet. That's pushing it Right. Yeah, but you're
also and you still have to buy the service fee,
too No, you don't necessarily have to. If you
want 3G, if you want to carry it around and use
3G, you do. If you don't, then you don't have
to. If you want to just use your Wi -Fi, then
it's like $600 without the 3G. Yeah. And the
other thing people got to realize, they're paying
for the name brand. It's not just the product.
They're paying for Apple's name. Yeah. I mean,
they have priced this really good, though. I
think the lowest one's like 400. I think $500,
$499, yeah. So maybe Target will come out with
a version that I could buy. Target match pad.
The Wally World version. Buyers for $199, it's
got three megs. Three megs of memory. But it
says Apple. Yay! It'll sell a million. Oh, jeez.
That's all I have to say about iPad. Yeah, whatever.
It's an over glorified iPhone with less than
half of the iPhone features. Right. You know
how you can go into Photoshop and you can drag
and drop and expand pictures? They basically
took a picture of the iPhone, took the mouse,
dragged it halfway down the screen so it was
larger, thinner, and that's it. It's an iPhone
for blind people Oh Right put it on a card right
there. Oh boy iPad is an iPhone for blind people
Yeah, actually the funniest thing I saw out there
was a carrying case to actually look like a maxi
pet No, yes, they have one That's a riot. Yes.
It was a maxi pad iPad carrier I actually made
one go figure that's fucking scary Yeah, that's
scary. Just saying, you know. Watch out for that
flow! What did that say? Damn! I'm sorry. I went
there. I have no comment. I'm sorry. So out of
my realm that I just - Retract, retract! I'll
just - Move along, move along. Those aren't the
droids you're looking for. Oh, is that a steel
bikini? Does she have a chain around her neck?
Is he choking her? Is he choking the chicken?
Oh god. Wow. No, she's choking him. Oh my god.
Is he choking his giant tongue? Is he just really
enjoying this experience? i don't remember our
thoughts for a thousand and i i i honestly think
i enjoy the spaceballs ending to the to the hot
character more than star wars well where the
guys being eaten away at the end of the night
so that uh... and i'd like to believe that i
don't think he has a search idiom while he's
talking you know hearing so give it to you ludicrous
speed make it so We've gone to plaid! We can't
stop sir! Stop it so blue! Kind of runs along
this after we're making all those references.
Oh god pretty awesome All right, keep going So
according to Wikipedia the longest -running television
show is meet the press by NBC it is run 61 years
I don't really care to be honest. I don't want
to meet any of them. Not six and a half years
worth, not nothing. One that I did find very
interesting that I did not know this and unfortunately
they kind of botched the show the last six months
or so. The Tonight Show is run for 54 years.
It premiered September 27th, 1954. I knew Letterman
was old, but seriously, that old? Well, and it's
funny, this listing also lists the number of
episodes. The Tonight Show has had 10 ,452 plus
episodes. Oh, wait, Tonight Show's J -level.
Sorry, I was just... Well, Johnny Carson, if
you really want to, you know, beat the actual
host. You know, the host that doesn't screw people
over. No, but he sure could read those cards.
You know the only reason why the only reason
why I ever tuned into Jay's tonight show was
the headlines the headlines were funny Headlines
are funny. So is the stand -up bit his stand
-up bit for the first seven minutes is pretty
decent. No, it's definitely not Okay. Well your
opinion doesn't count here The wonderful world
of Disney is run for 51 years. Hey, wait a second.
That's my number one. I have a list here. Let
me go down my list. My list is much better than
your list. Fine. Wonderful world of Disney, 51
years. Gotta love it. Love the pixie dust. Sabado
Higante, 23 years. Now, I gotta say, if you've
never watched Sabado Higante, you don't need
to know Spanish. You can watch it and still...
Laugh your rear off. Seriously. Gotta watch Sabato
Higante. Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood. If you can
get over the creepy fondling of puppets, you
might actually like the show and think that he
wears a sweater every day. All right, now I need
to sidetrack on that because I grew up in the
80s. I was born in 1980, so I'm unfortunately
30 years old now. You're young. Yeah, I'm fucking
old. You're young. I'm a grandpa. He is. And
it's one of those things where I grew up watching
Sesame Street and Mr. Rogers. And this was before
the whole Mr. Rogers scandal started. And those
were my educational programs. Wasn't like today
where you have a giant purple fucking dinosaur
trying to teach kids not to trust them. You had
a trolley instead. Ding, ding, ding, ding. Anyways,
keep going. Sorry. And it was an educational
show. It was educational. I make fun of him,
but he did a very good job. Yeah. Yeah. And then
my fourth favorite, 7th Heaven. Hey, it had Jessica
Biel on it. I didn't care about anybody else
on the show. It had Jessica Biel. Jessica Biel.
Like in the fifth season when she started to
phase out, I lost interest. Never watched it
again. Unbelievable. I'm spiritual, but I'm not
religious. So that's one of the reasons why that
show never really it didn't matter it had Jessica
Beale Jessica Beale, but I just put on mute seriously
Fast -forward to Jessica Beale. You'll enjoy
the show No, no seriously, I've got cops here.
Here's some of my my these are my Okay, I'll
go with my all -time favorites. MASH. Absolute
all -time favorite. Nothing has ever superseded
MASH. MASH is absolutely funny, timeless. If
you've not seen MASH, what rock have you been
living under? All -time favorite show. Love it.
Carol Burnett show. Now, Kristen, you've watched
every single Carol Burnett out there. True believe
yes, I believe I have seen every episode see
I mean Carol Burnett is timeless if you go back
and watch Carol Burnett You will still laugh
your rear off in this day and age it is so well
And it's not just like I don't know there's such
a different humor with today shows then Back
then when that was on air obviously I was watching
repeats, but even still even years later watching
repeats, the humor in it is so crisp without
being dirty, without swearing, without doing
any of the other things that people feel they
need to do in order to be funny today. And they
were doing an ad -lib for like 40 % of the show.
I mean, yeah, that's a lot of script. Yeah, totally.
Most of the episodes went totally off script
and it's just brilliant. And you knew when they
went off script because they kind of started
going tongue -in -cheek, but it still was absolutely
hilarious to watch. Great shower. Yeah, and then
My I wouldn't say these are my top shows But
I mean if we're going from this list because
I've got another list of shows that are not on
this list anyways cops Murder she wrote yes,
you can kill me now CSI law and order law and
order SVU Those are my other one two three four
five that I would say are worth watching in this
whole list out of the hundred that they're showing
here Yeah, the only CSI I can actually watch
is the original. I don't watch those knockoffs.
Jerry Sneas belongs in movies, and fuck you David
Caruso, you can't act to save your life. Can't
act to save his life. So tell us how you really
feel, Mike. Well, it's the worst show ever. Or
that particular version of CSI. Is that the Miami
one? Miami, yeah. yeah I don't watch either those
original CSI I hated him in NYPD blue and I hate
him in that's one reasons why I can't watch Miami
and I'm so sick of all these damn spin -offs
that pretty much they don't ruin the original
show but it's like wow what can we do to make
more money now let's give David Caruso a show
that he's not gonna be able to look at the camera
indirectly if you watch any of those episodes
of the CSI Miami he never looks into the camera
directly at all he is always like he'll like
to be sitting in a chair but his head will be
turned to the side a crappy ones all that's good
to show that uh... i do have to go to the street
blues i didn't put that on their looking for
that i don't know if it's on your not one of
the ones that really have no interest in but
as I'm just kind of looking down the list to
see what's how long shows have ran I had no idea
the Phil Donahue show started in 1969. Oh wow.
Were they throwing chairs back then? Were they
bringing on trannies? No that's Jerry Springer
you dummy. Oh dang it. Donahue eventually went
there didn't he? No no and it's funny you mention
that because um You should have. It would have
gotten more ratings. It ended in 1996, which
I think is the year that Jerry Springer premiered.
Actually, I remember that. I think you're right.
It's kind of scary. You know what the crazy part
is? Most of the shows on here... I mean, Kristen,
did you find any other shows that you would say,
okay, yes, that'd be worth... Yeah, there's a
couple. I'd say a good 90 % of these shows are
shows that either I never even heard of or I
never watched. A couple other ones. I pretty
much agree with almost all of your lists. MST
3000. Mr. Science Eater 3000. One of the best
shows. Yes. Cheers. Yes. Everybody knows your
name. Oh, right. Cheers. Oh, and I used to watch
MTV shows back when it was about music, like
MTV Unplugged. Yep. Really? I used to watch it
when there were actual music videos, and then
they started going away from music videos and
I never watched them again. Yeah, me too. Or
MTV and VH1 as well, where they left the music
was once the 80s stopped. Like once we hit the
90s, it was all about shows and everything else.
But back in the 80s, I remember shows on there.
Well, early 90s was still a lot about music because
you had the whole, the grunge scene was really
coming up into the forefront. So there were still
videos. Yeah. I mean, I remember staying up late
at night to watch. If you stay up till 2 o 'clock
in the morning, you'll actually catch videos
in MTV. Oh, now? Yeah. No, I mean, back in the
early 90s, oh, there was this one program. I
think it was started at 2 in the morning, and
it just played all techno music. Yeah. Oh, yeah,
I remember that. I forget the name of it. Oh,
my god, it was such a good show. It was so cool.
No, not really when I was a kid there was reading
rainbow Hee -haw come on 24 years of Hee -haw
You watch that that's your favorite show no no
that was my parents favorite show, and I was
forced away I Want to go over a list that's not
on here, but I think should be mentioned although.
They didn't run that long Star Trek next -gen
seven years not quite ten years Yeah You'll never
guess Knight Rider. How many years would you
guess that Knight Rider went on? I don't have
to guess, I know. Okay, how many? Four. Exactly,
right? I mean, four years. Dukes of Hazzard.
How many years for Dukes of Hazzard? I don't
know, but the thing about... Oh, really? Well,
the thing about this whole thing was, you know,
my plan was to talk about, like, longest running
drama, which is Law and Order. it's just it's
it just amazes me how some of these shows are
on this long because half of them are in syndication
now I Actually, I'm gonna have to go out and
get all the law -and -order DVDs to actually
keep the damn season straight because you can
watch six episodes on USA or WGN or Five from
five seasons ago and jump whatever. Yeah. Yeah,
it jumps around so much in the syndication It's
like you don't know what the hell you're watching
It's like okay. He's doing his wife who's doing
his brother who's wait a second now. They're
in court. I don't understand You know it's unfortunate
is there's so many messed up crimes that they
like never run out of materials That's why it's
been running for so long. I mean, I grew up,
my dad was a cop, and I'm not even kidding. Like,
there's just, there's so many different ridiculous
type of people doing ridiculous new crimes all
the time. Like, that's, that's probably the reason
it's been the longest running. Oh, God. I mean,
it never gets old. Cops never gets old. You got
the crack whores, and you got the drunks, and
you got the disorderly conduct, and then somebody
gets shot once a season. Yeah, uh, the real world
has been on for 18 years. Man, people are getting
shot. That's no big deal. Well, no, I don't know
about the other case when they start getting
all up in it. Yeah. You just like the cover scenes
where you don't see anything, but you see the
covers lumping up and down. You see that they
hear the heavy breathing. They're really watching
real world. I have a big problem with those reality
shows because it's not, it's not real. It's also,
you know, as much as, right. I mean, if you throw
a bunch of horny, retarded teenagers in a room
together without giving them any responsibility,
it's going to be chaos. It doesn't make for good
TV. It just makes me angry. It's showing teenagers
at their worst instead of possibly creating something
that is educational or will, I don't know, make
people feel good about something for spending
half an hour in front of the television. And
so you got crap shows that are then spinning
off crap shows like Real World's Road Rash. uh...
let's see here uh... you know and you know but
on the flip side of that outside of the whole
reality TV thing uh... you know you had shows
tackling issues like drugs like i think i can't
be for certain but uh... 90210 which ran for
ten years the real 90210 not this remake crap
uh... You know that you know that with amber
shoes and what? What'd you say with a? Amberly
these Tiffany Amber Thieson Tiffany Amber Thieson
and the girl who should never be maimed the one
that was on charmed Oh Shannon Doherty Shannon
Doherty that that yeah, yeah that that 90210
Wow only two I remember that Albert and the Cosby
kids ran 13 years Wait, you didn't ask Kristen?
Kristen, so who was on 902? Oh, I don't know,
that cute guy in the hot check, right? I was
just trying to be... Some rich a -holes dealing
with their rich a -hole problems. It sounds good
to me. I think that's what that show is about.
And then you got Cosby Kids, which is actually
dealing with life issues and stuff. Oh, how long
was that? has been shown one uh... because the
show was on nine years that was a good show day
and they did they really did hit some some kind
of down to earth family issues oh yeah you know
it's what fun it's funny i believe i can't be
for sure but i think it that was the might have
been the first book whole black family comedy
thing like i know there was good times all that
stuff back in the news but It was to me it was
the first family comedy that you could actually
sit there and watch and get lessons from Yeah,
good times is pretty I mean if you actually watch
good times Reruns maybe I know yeah, I never
watched good times. It's pretty decent Of course
rest in peace Robert stack unsolved mysteries
ran for 13 years Yeah, that was a good show.
No, it's still running today. It's on spike TV
and you know who the the host of it is? It is
Farina What who is that? It's the guy from God
he's done in so many movies since for industry
He was on law and order for a bit He started
I know he looks like yeah mustache. Yeah Yeah
yeah yeah okay i remember i know yeah he was
on law and order forbid as one of the as the
as the kind of the the redneck cop yeah one of
the detectives older redneck cop yeah yeah he's
like hey i don't want you around here i think
you followed up the the jewish cop yeah oh god
judge judy has been on for 14 years the longest
running reality courtroom show currently in production
I think I've maybe seen one episode of that.
All right. This is totally boring me. I know,
I know. We're getting to the end here. But the
funny thing about Judge Judy is there was a YouTube
clip of a case she was doing, the eBay scammer.
That was just funny as hell. Do you know what?
There's one, OK, the whole courtroom drama thing
absolutely cracks me up because they have Absolutely
no, there's no nothing on the line other than
what they say that they they could possibly do
It's like crazy, but there was actually a courtroom
drama where somebody got arrested Guys start
talking back. He's like dude. Shut up. He kept
talking back No, no, no you shut up where I'm
gonna arrest you right here He says I don't know
and he started going off and beep -a -deep -deep
So he gets the bail to come in put them in the
cuffs and take them out Seriously, somebody actually
got arrested on a courtroom drama. That is awesome.
Never happened on Joe Dwapner's case, but...
The People's Court! Oh, whatever. I won't even
go there. Yeah. Rest in peace, Joe Dwapner. If
you're not dead, you should be. I don't know,
come on! The love connection lasted 11 years.
Oh my god the love connection That was the most
horrid dating show the worst yeah You watch it
just to see the train wreck it like wah -wah,
you know never get this chick But they'd always
try to put them together. No, yeah You know,
and I think with the mid to late 90s is where
everything started of, oh, we want the true story
behind the celebrities. So we have E! True Hollywood
Story, premiered in 1996. They've aired over
500 plus episodes. Yeah. OK. I don't think I've
watched one of them. Oh, god. I think I've seen
hundreds of them. Yeah, I have too. What it is
I like seeing all of the just the dirt and grossness
behind Okay, if I wanted that I'd go walk out
in the street what I go walk out on the street
and I mean real life There's why do I care about
the the what goes on in actors lives? I don't
know you know what because they're so They're
so rare on such a pedestal from you know from
us lowly moviegoers And I like to see that they're
regular people and they have shit to deal with
and You know domestic disputes and all kinds
of crap domestic violence they can get out of
yeah, it makes me feel better murders about myself.
Oh Wow, I can only abuse my significant other
I didn't shoot him XYZ oh wait, or am I getting
that confused with cops? Well, that too. I cannot
believe that the original syndicated turtles
series ended on my birthday in 1990 February
9th 1990 and then it was switched over to CBS
and ran six more years Yay Ninja Turtles was
the shit. Yep, seriously Wow Murphy, I got a
permanent hankering for pizza from that comic
Dude yeah, oh man. Maybe that's where my permit
creaming comes from yeah, but they had weird
They always did the weird toppings. I didn't
dig like like whipped cream pizza. Oh Okay, I'll
have chocolate pops on mine Hurry quick. Who's
your favorite Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Donatello
easily Don't seriously yep Who's the orange guy?
Who's the surfer dude? Michelangelo. Michelangelo,
yeah. Nice. Dude. I think he was smoking a doobie
before the cartoon and he came on and he did
his lines and he went off and was still smoking
doobies. I mean, like what? You could say that
about a lot of Edie's cartoon series, though.
The Smurfs. So let's not go there. I'm just saying.
Do you know what color a Smurf turns if you choke
it? Purple? Green. Oh, gosh. Oh. I didn't get
that. It's not a joke. It's an actual fact over
on Tooncast way back an episode, I think. It's
a fact for a mythical creature that started in
a different tune. Whatever. Can't believe who
wants to be a millionaire has been on for ten
years and it's aired over 1 ,000 episodes. Holy
crap Yeah, I hate to tell them but like half
of their earnings go to the government So nobody
ever becomes a who wants a millionaire off that
show. It might be a 500 ,000 air Yeah, that's
one thing about those game shows that I I hate
so much is that they show you all this all you
want all this money or you won this trip Yet
they don't tell you oh wait you got to pay taxes
on it and give half of it to the government Morons,
you should they should start adding that disclaimer
like in their theme song like who wants to be
a millionaire before taxes I Think you should
write that song And of course, I don't know if
we mentioned it on -air yet or not, but we mentioned
it off -air. CSI, the original CSI has run 10
years so far, and it is still running. It's had
over 200 episodes. You know what the most memorable
CSI for me was? What? The guy who had a fetish
for babies. Ah, wow! The guy who would dress
up in Pampers and had a whole room of a nurse
and he would have a nerdy... He actually had...
paid a nursemaid to suck him, suckle him. It
was gross, but the guy fell over. Is that the
one where they had a separate room? Yeah, that
you had to crawl through. Oh God, I saw that
one. Adult size. Yeah, yeah. And he paid this
21 -year -old who had just had a baby to suckle
him and fell over the back. Oh my God. I'm serious,
it was wicked. Oh God, oh yeah, it was so creepy.
I can't believe they're going there. Yeah, it
was an adult size like baby room with like an
adult size baby crib I think it was last season
or two seasons ago on law and order SVU which
is one of my favorites they had Robin Williams
guest starring and Wow It's just some of the
you know Robin Williams even though he is a comedian
some of those serious roles that he's done is
just like holy crap that's completely creepy
uh... like the one hour photo thing uh... and
this episode i don't remember the whole context
of it but he was stalking somebody's kid or doing
something else he was supposedly accused of killing
somebody's kid or something and it was just like
he just played the role really really creepy
and it was just a complete departure from everything
else he's done Do we have any other shows we
would like to talk about? No, I think I hit Babylon
5 and Hill Street Blues five years and six years
Both excellent series, but didn't obviously make
the ten -year mark. Yeah Yeah, I'm surprised.
I didn't see long on that long order LA law on
here. I could have sworn that thing hit ten years
Nobody remembers LA law I didn't care for LA
law I loved L .A. Law. All right, so do we have
anything else we want to say either on the topic
or off the topic? No, I think I pretty much ruined
your show. I'm good. I ruin the show every time
I do it, so... No, it's one of those things where
if people want to listen, they can. If they don't
want to listen, it's not like we're forcing them
to. But I really don't like it when podcasters
come on, whether it's on our shows or just their
shows in general, and just pander to their listeners
and say, oh, well, for the three people that
are actually listening to this show, I hate that.
That is so unprofessional. OK, it just depends
on what they're trying to gain. If they're trying
to seal all your listeners, then yeah, I'd say
that's a good tactic. Well, if they're trying
to be funny and they're failing miserably, it's
not a very good tactic. Alright, why don't you
guys pimp out your stuff here. Stephen, what
do you want for our listeners to go to? Yeah,
you can follow me on at DarthMole on Twitter
or go to ThePowerGeeks .com. We publish every
