UNLEASH THE GEEK IN YOU!!!

Hi, this is Frank Todaro, and you're listening

to the Geekcast Radio Network. Welcome to the

358th episode of Geekcast Radio. In this episode,

we present to you the Geekcast Radio Network

2025 Year in Review. Yes, that's right, folks.

I said Year in Review, not Year in Review. We've

done... These episodes for 2010, 2011, 2012,

2014, 2015, 2016, 17, and 18. From 2018 to 2025,

the year we are currently recapping in this episode,

a lot has happened between 2018 and 2025. I don't

know when anything happened, but a lot has happened,

and we have not done one of these since 2018.

I don't even go back and listen to the 2018 year

in review. I don't remember what the hell we

talked about in that one. No clue. It was around

the time that I got let go. Yep. Yeah. For the

first time. Yeah, for the first time. Or that

year. It's when I was about to get let go for

the second time. Oh, no. Well, then hopefully

this is a better year. I don't know. Yeah, I

don't foresee that. Yeah, I don't know. 2025

was a frigging year. As you can hear, folks,

I am, of course, TFG1Mike. Joining me, as

always, is Steve Megatron. Hello, sir. How are

you? Yo, I'm doing good. I'm trying to make 26

better than 25, but 25 was a rough year. Tough

crowd. Tough crowd. Yeah, like, dude, like, no,

that last half, man. Man. I had all these plans.

I wanted to do all this stuff and get all these

podcasts done. And then all of a sudden, my left

hand, literally my left hand, my ring finger

and my pinky finger is like, nope, we're going

to go numb. And you have to have surgery. And

now you're laid up for three and a half to four

and a half to five and a half weeks. And you

can't do shit. For context, folks, I was born

with cerebral palsy. If this is your first time

listening to us ever, because every episode is

somebody's first episode, whether you've listened

to the last 357 episodes of this podcast or not.

Yeah, so I can't use my right arm. So instead

of Mr. One Arm, I was now Mr. No Arms for the

last half of last year. And I live alone. Way

to be me. You know the old meme about, you know,

who's the moron and blah, blah, blah, who has

two thumbs or who has no thumbs? This guy. Yep.

But again, at the end of the day, the surgery

was necessary and it was red ulnar and carpal

tunnel. Surgery is done on my left arm to fix

my left hand and whatever and all this and all

that and everything else. My hand itself is fine.

The carpal tunnel part of it? I mean, my hand

has issues, but where the scar was from the carpal

tunnel surgery, that has healed fine. The ulnar

nerve surgery scar? Oh, that's a pain in the

ass. Literally. I mean, it's a pain in my arm,

but it's a pain in the ass. Yes. Still can't

sleep on my left side. That sucks, dude. Yeah,

no. We've said this since day one, since June

1st of 2009. Life comes before podcasting. Well,

unfortunately, life got in a big flipping way

last year, and it delayed a lot of stuff on my

end. because you all know how I am. I'm the podcast

machine. I will do this all day. I'll sit here

and blah, blah, blah until I'm blue in the face.

Call it a Smurf turn if you choke him. Green.

Anyway, 2025, a lot has happened. We are just

going over what happened with the network. for

this year in review for 2025, since we are way

late on this year in review. We're two weeks

into 2026, and we figured we'd just give you

guys the rundown of the network for what it did

last year. So I've got some stuff written down.

I don't know if Steve wrote down any site numbers

or anything. Did you write any site numbers down?

I did not. Okay. Well, so what, you know, I don't

really feel the need to give out the site numbers.

That's fine. But I don't know, like an overall,

like the website did in 2025 in 365 days, we

did 40 ,000 downloads. Well, I can't tell that

from the website or from the podcast feeds because

they're all different. I'd have to go into each

show individually and get that information. I

understand that, but I'm saying as far as the

traffic, was January good? The traffic for the

website, we average about 120 ,000 impressions

a month. Nice. Not too bad. That's cool. That's

cool. So I went in and I just counted up all

the episodes from each of the major shows that

published episodes last year. So I wrote all

that information down and I highlighted certain

ones. Like I didn't list like all things Transformers.

We released 13 episodes last year. And I highlighted

the overall 4 ,000th GCRN episode in, you know,

since we did that as an episode and then the

17 years of HETF. And then there were 11 other

obviously news topical episodes. So we don't

really need to list all 13 episodes. Like you

guys can go on to geekcastradio .com and whatever,

but like that 4 ,000th episode. Who the hell

thought that would ever happen? Oh, wait. Exactly.

Like I was telling somebody the other day. This

is just a clear and I don't bear this person

any like whatever, but this is a buddy of mine.

I did a podcast with and I'm like. It's clear

to me how many of my friends actually go and

listen to my stuff or don't listen to my stuff.

And they're like, you have this? You have that?

I'm like, yeah, we have over 4 ,000. You have

over 4 ,000 episodes? I'm like, yeah. You clearly

don't pay attention. It's kind of like that the

old master this is what you're doing this is

what i want you to do well i'd like you to pay

attention but anyway if we ever get to 9 000

i'm going it's over 9 000 no exactly well you

know i mean if i once i'm you know i'm okay i

am better now that i'm still in recovery i'm

only five months august december for january

I'm like five months since I had the surgeries

on my left arm. So I'm technically still in recovery

almost kind of thing. So I'm not back up to full

strength, but I say I pulled in a crunch move

at the end of last year. Edited and released.

First time I've done this in years. I edited

and released three episodes in one day to get

all of them out before the end of the year. If

you look at Studio 2009 on New Year's Eve of

2025, episodes 63, 64, and 65 all released New

Year's Eve. December 31st, 2021. Because one

of them was the 30th anniversary of Casper. I'm

not releasing the 30th anniversary of Casper

in 2026 when it's no longer the 30th anniversary

of Casper. Yes, folks. I'm a... I'm a number

legislation kind of person, apparently, and only,

like... One or two people are going to get that

reference. If you listen to two mics, two furious,

you'll get it. So yeah, we had the 4 ,000th episode.

We had the 17 years of ATTF and all that for

ATTF altered geek. We had 17 episodes, including

the return of Steve Megatron in 2025. I think

you did that solo. I think so. Yeah. Not saying

it's your show, not saying, I'm just saying I

think you did that solo. We did Geekin' Out with

3D printing and more, so that was a good episode

because you were talking about your 3D printing,

which will actually come up later in the new

Altered Geek that we're going to record after

this episode because I found something at CES

this year that I'm like, ooh, okay, that's the

kind of 3D printing I like. There's a... I don't

think it's true, but I hope to God it's true.

There was a video on Instagram of somebody that

was at CES this year for 2026. A chocolate 3D

printer. I instantly turned into Fry, and I'm

like, shut up and take my money. That's the kind

of 3D printer I want. Chocolate 3D printing?

Yes, please. We did from pixels to physical media

and more. Even though they are not here and I

did not ask them to submit a clip for this episode

because it was too late in the time that we were

recording this, the Cinema Geeks, Optimus Solo

and the Comic Con Siege, Dan Clark, Optimus Solo.

Kevin Thompson. They released 29 episodes in

2025. They did their box office predictions.

They did their most anticipated films. They did

several retro, only two retrospectives, but they

did the Hitchcock retrospective, which was 16

episodes. They did their Cary Grant retrospective,

which was nine episodes. They did their films

of 2025 so far, which was in July. In July, peas

grow there. And then they ended the year in December

with their favorite holiday films. As of right

now, they just released their first episode of

2026, which is their box. So what's it called?

It's right there on the main page. Box office

prediction draft 2026 is what their most recent

episode is currently. This very podcast, Geekcast

Radio, we had 10 episodes in 2025. We had the

ECCC 2025 recap. We had the award shows are a

joke episode because they are. Oh, totally. But

the biggest joke at the Golden Globes of the

People's Choice Awards this year, the biggest

joke was told by one of the female whatever people.

CBS News, see bullshit news. Have you seen that

clip yet? I'll later. I forget who said it. But

anyway, award shows are a joke. And then for

the 350th episode of Geekcast Radio, I put Mr.

Stephen C. Phillips to the test and grilled him

all about his altered audio demystifying podcasting

because he released his first book last year.

Totally. So that happened. Yes, sir. Yes, sir.

And then we did our, which is another thing that's

coming up here in 2026, but we did our top 100

nominees, parts one through five. So we revealed

the nominees for the pre -1980s, 80s, 90s, 2000s,

2010s, and 2020s, I believe is what the final

one was. I think I could be wrong, but I think

that's what it is. I did two more convention

recaps, one with my buddy Brad Filicky for New

York Comic Con, and then the Comic Con series,

and I did a Baltimore Comic Con recap for Geekcast

Radio last year. So that's what's going on with

GCR. We're going to have more GCR stuff this

year. The Top 100 Animated Series 2026 Edition

will be coming later this year. It'll be coming

this year. The podcast organization without a

cool acronym, PAOKA, the Phineas and Ferb show,

had 12 episodes. That ran from episode 98 to

episode 109. Michael Wilson, Pecan Crow Michael,

and I will be returning with season five of Phineas

and Ferb at some point this year, since they

decided to finally do a season five at some point

or another. I don't have the final count since

I'm... Currently actively still releasing episodes,

but it was something like 43 episodes. Cause

originally I had this listed as 43 episodes so

far in 2025, because I was still under the gun

of myself of how many episodes can I actually

release under the gun of new year's Eve? Like

literally I was like, Hmm, should I just do one

an hour on new year's Eve? So it would be 12

episodes in one day. No, I'm not that crazy.

I'm crazy, but I'm not that crazy. So it's something

like 43 episodes for the year for Studio 2009.

Studio 2009 and 2025, we released season two

of The Columbo Files. We actually recorded season

three of The Columbo Files. We'll actually be

airing in like the next couple of weeks. We recorded

all of that a year ago. It'll be released a year

later. We debuted The Origins in television,

which is 30 questions all about your TV watching

habits. So those will be new episodes coming

this year for more guests for that. David Draper

and I did Andor Season 2. You and I did the Christmas

in July Die Hard films. My buddy Sean and I started,

but we didn't finish the Fast Saga because of

things and timing and scheduling. But that's

kind of good considering this year is the actual

25th anniversary of when the original first Fast

film released in 2001. So hopefully we're going

to finish that off this year for the 25th anniversary.

You and I did Remembering Val Kilmer since Val

passed away April 1st. Yes, sadly, but the only

reason why I'm bringing that up is because I'm

sorry. Literally, I'm checking 70 different websites.

When that news hit last year, it can't be real.

It's April Fool's Day. You don't believe anything

you see on the internet on April Fool's Day.

You just don't. But yes, unfortunately, we lost

Val Kilmer April 1st, 2025. So you and I did

a Remembering Val. We discussed Batman Forever

and Top Guns 1 and 2. I launched the Gamer Origins

and more. The pull bag. Oh, the pull bag. Joe

Reed, you owe me so much. Find your mother flipping

comics. If he would just use the digital versions,

I send him. I get it. He wants to use the physical

versions he supposedly has. In the almost 13

years, last year was the 12th anniversary of

the pullback. This March will be the 13th anniversary,

13th year of the pullback. But last year was

the lowest. Usually the pullback, I try to aim

higher every year and get as many episodes in.

to the 365 days as I can. I think the highest

I've ever gotten is something like, something

like 150, 175 episodes. In a year, I'd have to

go back and fact -check myself on that one. But

last year, we only released nine episodes, and

it's all Joe Reed's fault. Bingo. We're dealing

with a real mind here. Because we were in the

middle of doing the IDW Turtles thing, and we

ended up having to do the Armageddon game, which

was a special thing that IDW was doing. And he's

like, oh, I don't know where those are. I'll

have to find those. I'm like, okay, let me know

next week. Next week turned into next month.

Next month turned into two months. And then life

just started happening between the two of us

and everything else. And obviously, as I've already

mentioned, August happened to me and everything

after and yada, yada, yada. However, what did

happen, episode 575 last year, which was IDW

Publishing's TMNT Reborn Volume 5. So we did

celebrate 12 years and that's it for all my podcast

info that I have out of podcasts that I know

that we released last year. I think that's all

the shows that we, I don't remember. I think

so. And I honestly, well, I think, I think it

was just a slow year in general. Yeah. I mean,

and usually we have our go -tos like we, like,

and we, we don't at this point, 16, 17 years

in, We're already, I mean, that's, what is that?

One, two, three, four, five. It's like what?

Five, six, seven shows, seven different unique

podcasts that aren't all that aren't, that don't

cross over with each other. They're all very

different audiences. I mean, you know, so it

is what it is and that's fine. And, you know,

we, we can only spread ourselves so thin. kind

of thing like we're not i'm not 29 years old

anymore when we started this network i i can't

spread myself thin as a new york or new jersey

piece of roast beef anymore just can't there

may be and this is a funny thing because i i

told my buddy um michael andrews from two mics

too furious who is the one that i was recording

the other day Yes, 4 ,000 episodes. Those are

only over, I mean, outside of some of the ones

that we don't advertise anymore. But out of the

ones that we do, 40 unique different podcasts,

mostly. Like there are some that, like Headshot,

we don't advertise Headshot. Well, yeah, and

there are some that are overlapping, but if you

look at our shows page, I counted our shows page

last time I looked. We haven't added any new

shows. This is fine. We don't need new shows

right now. I counted our shows page. I'm like,

oh, my God, there are only 40 shows here. Holy

crap. 4 ,000 episodes and 40 shows. That's crazy.

That math is... It's not computer. But yeah.

Anything you would like to say, sir, about the

podcasts and the stuff and the thing, all that?

Almost sound like you're going into like the

way the Bill Cosby guy talked, you know, Frank.

No, no. The podcast and the stuff and the. things

were doing things and then in the pudding pops

man the pudding pops jello pudding pops yeah

i can't sound like him although i could use ai

and do it so no don't and stop vocal replacements

i mean if i i mean i can't hit his tones but

i that's the only thing i love about being sick

is i can do morgan freeman's voice but jello

brand pudding pops new chocolate vanilla swirl

but yeah i mean a little bit of a slow year this

year, you know, this past year, but we're hoping

to start things off strong with the top 100.

Absolutely. Absolutely. Boy, that's right. Top

100 animated series, 2026 edition. Totally. Yep.

Yep. Yeah. So is that all that we're announcing?

I think so. Like, I don't know what else. we

want to talk about. Cause I mean, I don't really

have anything concrete that I'm working on. I

mean, the goal is I want to have them where come

out, but it's one, I, we might possibly be redoing

my office. Right. Again, real life comes before

podcasting. You got to make sure. Well, yep.

Yep. And to be truthful, like my office is not

set up for a video show right now. I would love

for it to be. And truthfully, like I, if I'm

going to do a video show, I honestly would prefer

to have like a standing desk. I don't necessarily

want to be sitting while I'm doing a video show.

Like a podcast is one thing. And like, I'm just

going to sit, but I sit all day at work. So honestly,

I would rather like, so the idea is I want to

build a, you know, super wide desk and have.

have it so it's telescopic so that it can be

a standing desk or a sitting desk but i i also

need to uh put some shelves behind me to showcase

the crap sitting on my desk so that it doesn't

look like crap it looks like a collection i mean

i do have signed you know i do have a sign of

geek radio anything from david k and scott mcneil

and then our idw tmnt comic That quote. So there

is that. Yep, yep. Good times, good times. Yeah,

I think the only other thing, and I think you'll

agree with this without us having to talk about

it. I don't know when this year, but we have

to launch, fully launch Altered Trek. Oh, for

sure. I would love to get that. back into Trek

like I just had a discussion with a guy at work

about it today and wait you know because we were

discussing something and I said I'm excited for

Q3 because we were talking about Star Trek and

he was mentioning Star Trek and you know magic

cards like yeah they're having Star Trek themed

magic cards later this year and he's like well

I'll have to bring you up a card and he's like

wait who's your favorite character and I said

Captain Kirk and he goes oh okay well you know

and I says just like in Q3 this year they're

supposed to release from Nassau old toy uh star

trek generations captain kirk i says i've only

been waiting you know 32 years for this toy because

yeah or you know there about it's i'm sure it's

94 2004 2014 yeah that's 32 years yeah that's

nuts yeah so i saw that movie uh when it came

out and i've always loved the vest version of

the monster maroon uniform that kirk wore in

that it's like by far my favorite i even my mom

made me a halloween costume of it and i wore

it for like two years it looked like crap but

it was the the thought was there yeah i would

probably buy the costume if you know if it weren't

for the fact it cost me like 200 bucks to get

the shirt section and like the shirt and the

vest just because it's the absolute favorite

uniform for me like i that is downright like

the best one and then i made a uh Custom one

of the Playmates toys, but Nacella is coming

out with one in Q3. And it looks spot on like

Shatner. Comes with the horse, comes with all

the stuff. So I'm uber excited. So yeah, roundabout

way of saying I'm excited for Star Trek. Yeah,

because we're up to season two of TNG for Altered

Trek. We released the reintroduction. and oh

god look at this dude it was last year no yeah

no i know but look look at us this is so silly

and so stupid but it's us so the reintroduction

of our hosts and setting our faces for fun was

january 21st of 2024 season one was september

25th of 2025 and here it is a year later yeah

we have to have at least I want at least five

episodes of Altered Trek before the end of the

year. I don't care what shows we have to sacrifice.

We can pick a couple of slow months of Transformers

news when there's nothing. But yeah, no, folks.

That's it. 2025 was a, you know, we didn't let

it pass us by because life kind of basically

just, you know, jumped us and said, hey, you

can't worry about the podcasting crap right now.

You got to go out there and live some life. Exactly.

Yep. And as always, thank you to everyone who

has listened or has watched the stuff. We've

got the stuff on YouTube. We've got the stuff

on our home .com, wherever you listen to podcasts,

Apple, Spotify, et cetera. Obviously listen on

geekcastradio .com, all that good stuff. 2025.

What a year. Yes, sir. No, I think that's about

it. All right. Well, we are going to start the

year off right. And we're going to give you some

quick promotions for other podcasts we love around

here. So we're going to have a quick ad break.

You're going to hear probably five podcast ads.

No, make it six. Make it a good even number.

Even numbers around here. And we will come back

to close the show right after this. We are Two

Mics, Two Furious, a podcast where we watch every

episode of Transformers Animated and discuss

from two different points of view. I'm Mike Seibert,
