Hello and welcome to the 20th episode of the

TFG1 podcast. Up next you'll hear an introduction

by Stan Bush and unfortunately, I didn't know

that Mr. Michael Wilson, my co -host, was going

to be with us today, which he is. He is not in

the introduction, it's just me and Steve, so

please enjoy. I'm Stan Bush and I fully endorse

the TFG1 podcast coming up today on episode 20.

TFG1 Mike and Steve Megatron will discuss several

Generation 1 cartoon episodes, so stay tuned!

and michael wilson yes and this is the first

time that i've actually had two other co -hosts

with me on the podcast so welcome guys and we're

going to do some general chat after the intro

Welcome to the 20th episode of the TFG1 podcast.

This is TFG1 Mike and I'm joined with Steve's

Megatron and Michael Wilson. Hey guys. Hey. Yeah,

Megatron is also joining us. This will actually

serve as Steve's birthday episode because not

sure if we're doing an All Things Transformers

episode this week. I doubt it. So yeah, so what's

been going on with you guys? I didn't have a

birthday today, so Well yours was on the second

we already talked about yours and what was it

episode 17? 17 18 something like that somewhere

that was that was an intro for Steve to jump

in and say, but I did oh, but I did a Little

late now, isn't it? So you totally missed your

cue? Yeah, I didn't see the cue on the screen,

so I don't have cue cards. Yeah, there's no cue

cards. But yeah, this is what I did for my birthday.

I basically got a birthday card at the beginning

of the week, got some money. went out to Walmart

on Monday to go pick up the Transformers Generation

1 Season 1 box set and they didn't have it yet

so Tuesday I go out back to Walmart after I get

out of work at 1230 at night and then I went

I picked it up and I brought it home and found

out the next morning that I was getting that

for my birthday anyhow so I bought my own birthday

present and I was going to get the Revenge of

the Fallen IMAX tickets as well, but I found

a way to get them very cheap. So that's how we're

paying for it the following week to go see that

in theater. So and then yesterday I took work

off and went to a water park and got sunburned

and yeah, so. get the good deal on the IMAX tickets

because I think I might want to do that. Technically

you're supposed to buy the brand new re -release

of the Transformers first movie on DVD or Blu

-ray but there's this little magical sticker

on the front that should you detach it. I'm not

saying that you should without purchasing but

if you should detach it without purchasing and

you already own a copy of the movie you get $7

.50 off at your local theater. Which is what

Steve did anyway. Yes, you probably about three

copies. No, I did too Yeah, so that we me and

my wife can go for it. So you're defacing store

property. No For your own personal benefit. No

because I attached to my generation once season

one box set So I got okay, so I got seven slide

on yes, and I got 750 off each IMAX ticket. So

I only total three And you're still purchasing

from the store, so technically it's not theft.

No. See my reasoning. It's $12 .30 a night. We'll

refrain from sending the police to your door.

Yes. Yes. Alright, so there really isn't that

much going on. We actually just released episode

19 of the TFG1 podcast, which is probably the

funniest episode that we've done yet. Steve is

actually back on the TFG1 podcast. I think the

last time he was on was episode 16. Correct.

And Steve will be... actually, hopefully, both

you guys will be here for the remainder. Well,

after now, the remaining three episodes. Holy

crap. I can't believe it's almost over. Yes!

Holy crap, what a nightmare. Why the rush? What

the hell was I thinking when I made this podcast?

Holy crap. I don't know, but it went along and

got more complicated. It should go on forever.

That would be painful. It will go on forever

as long as people keep listening to it. Go to

iTunes, download now, go to GeekCastRadio .com,

plug, plug. Yes. It'll live on forever in your

hearts. And visit it on Twitter on GeekCastRadio

and also you can download them on iTunes and

make sure you leave freaking reviews. Yeah, please

leave positive feedback on iTunes. That's the

best way to help the podcast. If you're a fan

of the show, any of the shows of GeekCast Radio

Network shows, please leave us reviews and positive

feedback on iTunes. Yes, and also post comments

about them in the PredaconEmpire .com forums.

Which should you go to PredaconEmpire .com? There's

a link on the left that says forums in big letters

in blue. Or you can go to PredaconEmpire .com

slash CafeSpark. sign up with an account and

pretty much it's a friendly atmosphere that everyone

can have fun posting and not get swallowed up

by political garbage of the larger sites. With

the exception of two people. It is very friendly

with the exception of two people. No comment.

One is green and one is red and white. It's all

I'm gonna say Anyways Yeah, actually Michael.

You just joined up last night. Didn't you last

night or the night before? Yeah, I don't normally

post to websites I'm a more of a lurker, but

I went ahead and signed in there. Yeah Actually,

I think all of our GCRN Hosts co -hosts, whatever

except for two general techno and proto man have

signed up for the forums, which is awesome. Yes

very very awesome actually speaking of the forums

we actually have a it's in the it's in the all

things transformers listener discussion thing

but seeing as how we're probably not going to

do an ATTF episode this week I'm going to bring

it up here. It's from Tater X, who is a new member.

I really like your podcast. I download all of

them every week. And listen, as I drive from

Louisville, Kentucky. Oh crap, another Louisvillian.

Holy crap. Why do people live in the same place

that I do? That's just scary to me sometimes.

I drive from Louisville to Buffalo, New York,

twice a week, every week. I don't remember you

guys talking much about your collections. Could

you do that on one show? Just talk about the

lines you collect and what your favorites are.

Thanks. Tx and basically what he's asking about

his toy lines And I had sent a reply to him on

the forums. That's what transformers toy cast

is it is for and originally toy cast was to include

Michael, but I Kind of been so busy with every

other fucking thing that I've been doing it slipped

my mind to even mention it to him I was actually

gonna mention it to you the last episode Uh -huh.

Just again. Shut the hell up. Thanks for noticing

me. Alright, Eeyore. You Peter Cullen copycat.

Yeah. Are we going to answer that or are you

going to wait for Tooncast to do that? Oh, I

just did. Um, that's what - Oh, you're actually

saying, oh, wait for Tooncast? No, no, I said

that's what Transformers Toycast is about. We

already have two episodes. Oh, okay. Well, never

mind that. I mean, that's what Transformers Toycast

is for, just so Tater -X knows that, I mean,

that's, you know, we'll be discussing toys over

there, and as far - You know, I can't speak for

Steve, because it was actually directed to both

of us. I don't think he collects them, but I

don't know. What do you - I mean - I tend to

pick up - specific figures for a while. I was

picking up a couple just random ones, but just

depending on their alt mode. But for the most

part, the only two, well actually I have four

now that I noticed because two are in vehicle

mode and two are in robot, but I have a tub of

many Beast Wars figures in my closet as well

as every version of Megatron from G2 on. With

the exception of the movie line, and I have Masterpiece

Prime that I bought at Target when it first came

out. Lucky bastard. Yes, and it's sitting on

my desk, and it has never left that spot. I think

I'm gonna have to fly to Michigan and steal that.

They don't have it anymore. I bought that back

when it came out in like, 04. No, no, no, you

didn't hear what I said. I think I'm gonna have

to fly to Michigan and steal that Masterpiece

Prime. You'd have to find where I live first.

Will track you down yeah, but um yeah, and I

bought titanium scourge because I got that role

of scourge in the headmasters fan dub and Then

I was a member of the collector club for a little

bit, so I got that helicopter looking dude that

I don't know the name to Top spin yeah, whatever

the combiner guy. That's all I know and then

I got the movie bumblebee in deluxe Yeah So but

yeah, just to answer your question tater, we

will Majority of us minus Steve unless he wants

to talk about Beast Wars figures on on toy cast

That's what transformers toy cast is specific.

Yeah specifically for That way ATTF can just

be either news or discussion on just general

transformers crap Right except for me because

I haven't been on well We only have... But if

I were, I would go on for hours about how I have

them all. Yes, we know. You suck. I'm a completionist,

I can't help it. It's a sickness that compels

me. Yeah, we've only had two episodes. I'm still

trying to work out which hosts I'm gonna have

on which episodes since I have... Two that record

during the afternoon with and then I have the

other two that record at night with me So I'm

not really sure how that's gonna work. I may

one of the of the hosts or not. I'm not really

sure I haven't really figured it out yet. It's

probably gonna be a rotating schedule with with

toy cast as far as hosts But you know we can

work that out in time, but yes, we will have

you on there eventually yeah, yeah, we'll have

Michael on there eventually seeing us how he

has like room and you know rooms and rooms and

closets and closets filled with with transformers

Oh, yes, and I will mention this right now one

of your picks must if you come on the show one

of your picks must be rival tech Megatron You

must take him out of the closet And open him

up and discuss him Yeah, because I want that

figure. What, torture? Well, every time I mention

it to him, he's like, no, he's in the closet.

He's buried. I'm not taking him out. Yeah, well,

he's going to have to, one time at least. So

how big is that closet? Does it go underground

and make a giant tunnel like a Jefferies tube

and a giant, I don't know. giant storage facility.

It's a good size closet. It's about 2 feet deep,

about 6 feet tall, and probably about 10 feet

wide. And that's just the closet. I've actually

got custom oak shelves that are about 12 feet

wide, about 6 feet tall, and about 2 feet deep.

Yeah, about the same size as my closet, except

the custom shelves have plexiglass doors with

steel locks. So I can still see them without

actually exposing them to little tiny grubby

hands that might try to grab them and carry them

off to their toy room. And destroy them forever.

Exactly. It's like, Daddy does not want you playing

with the 25 -year -old transform. Well, that's

why I tried to sell you Blaster. That way you

could have an extra one that they could play

with. Oh, yeah. How it would rend my heart to

see the little ones playing with Blaster. Yeah,

no. No thanks. They can have the incomplete eBay

cast -offs. He doesn't mind. Yeah, he doesn't

know the difference. That's right. He comes to

me with arms and legs and says, fix. Toy I do

want to mention that there was something really

as far as Transformers goes something really

really funny and just really really cute that

we saw last week Pia who is a famous YouTube

reviewer He had his daughter he had his daughter

never do a review of gravity bots all the gravity

bots from the Revenge of the Fallen line, and

she's like that's op miss. That's be I forget

what she called Bumblebee but she couldn't say

the whole the whole real name and it was just

it was just so cute and just really really funny

and yes um so all right I think I got instantaneous

diabetes watching that that's all them sugar

sticks you've been eating no no because it was

so sweet it was like that is so sweet oh I need

insulin oh crap alright so i think shout -out

to peo yes very much so he's a really really

cool guy so actually he was posting on twitter

earlier about this this person that was commenting

on one of his videos saying he had some this

person was commenting said he got some uh...

thing from asia that hasn't even been released

or something or other and he's been dealing with

that uh... i don't know but anyway i feel as

if he's a super nice guy and yeah he's it's gonna

be great working with him on on toy cast so you

guys have any other uh... general thoughts general

chat type stuff uh... not really no yes and scott

stockers leave me the fuck alone when i have

a message of saying i'm doing something important

god damn it Yeah. Where are all the hot Skype

stalkers? Yeah. I have video. Oh God, as I've

said before in other episodes, the TFG1 podcast

is not responsible for anything that Michael

Wilson says on this podcast. What'd your wife

say, you fucking moron? What? What? Oh God. It's

only words. It's only words. Oh baby, I don't

even know them people. Okay. You just sent me

the picture. Yeah, but you accepted it. I didn't

know what it was gonna be. I thought it was a

transformer. I know, I thought it was RC flying

on Springer with her hand on her ass. I had no

idea it was, well, this filth and foul, foul

and filth that I would never look at. Now it

will haunt you for the rest of eternity and the

remainder of this podcast. Thank God there's

only four episodes left. And you know what? It'll

keep coming back and it'll never die. Ten years

from now it'll come back and haunt you. You'll

be in a tie going to a job interview and they'll

pull something up and say, did you post this?

What? Huh? Okay, anyway, we're gonna get into

some episodes today. Yes. Let's do it. Ouch!

That's one thing I will say for Cyclonus. He

administers a good interrogation. I will never

tell! Hey, you got pretty close that time. You

better before they discover your bad a - Alright,

first up today is Starscream's Ghost. And according

to the little booklet we have, offers to help

Octane in exchange for revenge on Galvatron.

Upon acceptance of his offer Starscream's first

action is to take over Octane's body. Alrighty

then, thoughts so far. Yes. You're jumping straight

into thoughts? Well, no, not thoughts, but I

mean we're gonna do synopsis, but I had to drop

the booklet to look at the thing here. Let's

see as I said a second ago octane's being hunted

for being a traitor to the Decepticons I do like

the continuity between this between the last

episode thief in the night and this As well as

star screams death Star screams yes, I'm still

dead for one. Oh, yeah, and how his legs were

the only remnants of him, and that's the same

thing It's in the crib Going to something that

the synopsis said, okay, why is Decepticon crypt

on Cybertron, but the Autobots have a floating

crypt in space that they had to blow up? Yeah,

see I was expecting Rodimus to find out about

the Decepticon crypt and say, oh, we have to

fly this into the sun now. We're just going to

take it and take the whole damn planet and fly

it into the sun. Yes, the fact that Sandstorm

and Octane go to basically a Mos Eisley type

space freighter Station to refuel and get a bite

to eat. Yeah, they totally pulled a Star Wars

reference right there Yes, and they had the little

guy that was supposed to be like the guido, you

know waiting to assassinate him and Yeah, that

whole scene was ripped from Star Wars. And why

would Galvatron send a little midget to go after

a Transformer? It makes no sense. Because the

Skuzoids will do anything for money. Why are

they called Skuzoids? Because he looks damn near

like Weedo. I don't know why they are. You should

know this shit, damn you. I don't know. Shut

the hell up, damn you! Let's see. Good continuity

between episodes. Octane falls to... Oh, yeah.

Octane falls down a shaft on Cybertron while

fleeing from the Decepticons, where he lands

as the Decepticon crypt, while there he touches

Starscream's legs, and they fall over, releasing

the essence of the sniveling fallen Decepticon.

And then Starscream takes over Cyclonus's body.

Yes, but you forget the funny part of this episode.

It's where, uh, in there, once they're on their

way in there, the Decepticons go after... Octane

but at first Scourge goes to send the sweeps

who were cowardly and don't listen to Scourge

and Cyclonus says well then you're probably gonna

want to listen to me and then they all jump in

and then he tells him that he has a lot to learn

and then he tells him now you move yeah you jump

what I tell you that wasn't the funny part the

funny part was when Octane was so scared that

he couldn't transform properly He's a tanker

truck with a head and an arm and he's, you know,

shitting himself because he's seeing the ghosts

of Starscream. No, he had a fan -gazm over Starscream.

He looked like he was pissing himself. Okay,

I have a question about the Crip scene. When

octane is walking, you know, we're running or

walking or trying to find a place to hide it

first He encounters thundercracker and he encounters

somebody else that he imitates Death comes to

all who hide behind my marker or whatever. Who

was that? I don't even get the reference Yeah,

I mean I recognize thundercracker but I don't

recognize the other one I'm going to look for

screencaps of that. I don't think I have it.

I don't think I got it. Let's see. This episode

really bugged me out, especially seeing Starscream

again. You know, I don't know. I loved Starscream

while he was alive, but I figured when Galvatron

blew away in the movie, that was it. I was kind

of hoping that would be it. I think that once

we saw Starscream come back, that to me kind

of gave hope that Optimus Prime would eventually

come back as well. Despite the fact that they

brought him back once already, turned him into

a zombie, and flew him into a sun, I still felt

that he would make a return at this point. And

who doesn't want to see Chris Lada? Come on.

The triumphant return of Chris Lada. Actually

he will return again in another episode, I believe

it's episode 20, I think it's the next episode,

episode 21 in Only Human as Cobra Commander.

And he'll also appear in Ghost in the Machine

as well as some of the Target Masters in The

Rebirth. Well, yeah, but I mean as far as like

his two main roles as far as as far as we know

him is Starscream and Goper commander and outside

of this two -part Technically, this is a two

-parter Starscream's ghost and ghosts in the

machine because it pretty much takes off, you

know It continues out the whole story The problems

I have with this episode we can kind of cover

it more in the thoughts section after this but

is the whole spaceport scene Like I said before,

they straight lifted it from Star Wars and you

know, I understand that stuff lifts stuff from

everything else nowadays and they did it as well

then. I mean, hell, look at that green bastard

Springer having a fucking lightsaber -type sword

in the movie or whatever. He is Luke Skywalker.

No, he is not Luke Skywalker. Luke has more honor

than Springer. Anyway... I'm wondering, why did

they bother to leave the Autobot city? I mean,

granted, the Decepticons were there attacking

them, but, I mean, it's the Autobot city. They

could have gone inside and hid there forever.

They didn't actually have to get back to Cybertron.

Yeah, see, I'm kind of wondering that myself,

because, okay, first of all, how the hell are

Sandstorm... and octane buddies because sandstorm

just got his planet fucking blown up octane we

haven't seen since thief in the night but um

well that was what i was thinking is maybe maybe

uh octane was from paradrone as well yeah um

because they seem to know each other the octane

seems to be pretty friendly it's it's like it's

octane the friendly decepticon Yeah, I mean they're

hanging out, they're having beers together. It

seemed to me like they went way back. But that's

what I'm saying. It has to be a continuity error

from the stories that they've set up before.

Because Sandstorm just got his planet blown up

and he was just introduced back in Fight or Flee.

And same thing with Octane, he was just introduced

in Thief in the Night. I don't think we've I

said I said it in episode 19 who the fuck is

octane. I've never seen him before thief in the

night Well thief in the night came after fight

or flee so technically no it didn't We just reviewed

a fighter flea Okay, let's see. Oh, I sure say

yeah. Yeah, I sure say but they we've noticed

before the That the episodes are out of order.

Well, I don't think they are out of order and

I mentioned this to you off air The other episode

one of the newer members on PE brought up the

fact that Dark Awakening is not out of order

And I know this is going completely off -topic

of Starscream's ghost with Dark Awakening Dark

Awakening is not out of order The broadcast version

that's on the Rhino sets was a rerun where they

ran Dark Awakening and the return of Optimus

Prime back to back in one week. So that's why

it says at the end where Victor Corolla comes

on and says, and find out tomorrow when Optimus

Prime returns on the Transformers. So yeah, it

was something that Rhino did with the sets. They

used the wrong master or whatever. But anyway,

back to Starscream's Ghost. Do we have any other

thoughts on the synopsis part? None of the synopsis.

Although we've been talking slightly on our thoughts

on it anyway. Well yeah, but I mean we're gonna

get into our thoughts, you know, because I know

Michael probably has a page and a half worth

of notes. I have a page and a half in my brain.

That's all your brain is, is a page and a half.

What? Nothing. It's a very big page. To your

credit. Yes. Alright, we're going to get into

our thoughts up next. Alright, and now for our

thoughts on Starscream's Ghost. As I said in

episode 19, same goes for this episode. I don't

have a whole lot of thoughts because I did all

synopsis stuff. Who wants to go first with their

thoughts? I'll go. Okay. In the very beginning,

Octane's hanging out with Junkie Ops. And I'm

thinking to myself, why is Octane, who is a bad

guy, hanging out with the junkians who are the

good guys to deliver junk? Yeah, that's kind

of weird. Yeah, it's like, why would he be delivering

junk to begin with? It's like, OK, I've been

outcasts from the Decepticons, which I had to

be reminded of, because I didn't realize that

they were actually using continuity. at first.

Which is cool, but confusing at the same time.

He's hanging out, he's driving a garbage truck.

Because he can't find anything better to do.

And as he watches porn in his garbage truck,

he's attacked. RC was on there. It might have

been RC, but it might have been like the Pamela

Anderson version of RC. That was pretty stacked

for a robot. So does Alita Wan and her other,

her other bots. Yeah, that's true. Because we've

never seen what happened to them, so, you know,

they had to make a living somehow in the Decepticon

ruling. Anyway. Yeah, that's right. When they're

not pole dancing, they're, you know, posing for

whatever the Halactane was watching. See, now

that is the screenshot you should have put up.

Yeah, they call it Charboy. Charboy. I thought

was kind of funny, but then they very quickly

changed gears and Not to be confused with changing

gears where gears turns gay But they very quickly

changed gears and sandstorm and octane and all

buddies Which is something else I couldn't understand.

It's like why do this happen? So yeah, I don't

understand that either. It's good. I thought

well We're gonna have a whole episode of the

odd couple at this point Sandstorm is gonna try

to clean everything and octane is gonna throw

his dirty underwear on the floor and piss off

sandstorm But I thought well, you know where

the hell is this going but you know Then it did

it turned into a like a buddy flick and they're

traveling together. We got it. We know we got

to get to Cybertron And in their travels, they

hit that spaceport that you didn't like at all.

But what kills me is they sit down to eat. And

I'm thinking, well, what are they going to eat?

And they're like, here, here's your Cybertron

goodies. And literally, it's like cheese. Cheese

on a stick. Purple cheese. It's energy. Yeah,

energy on cheese. It's like, did you just offer

me cheese? Yes. Yes, I did. It's Swiss. That's

right. There's holes in it. It's cheddar. It's

nacho as in nacho cheese. It's my cheese nachos.

Nacho cheese. Don't you eat my cheese. But yeah,

I thought that was funny. And then the scug,

the little lizard guy runs over and starts beating

on his head. And it's like, you know, he's got

little beady eyes, but you squeeze him enough

and I bet they'd bug right out. That would be

kind of cool to see. And then, and then Cthulhu

makes a guest appearance. Who? Cthulhu. As in

H .P. Lovecraft, The Call Of. Okay, I don't know

what the hell that is, but whatever. The great

big green guy with the tentacles for a face.

Oh, okay. You know, Cthulhu. Okay, yeah, so...

Anyway, keep going. countless other geeks out

there are going, I know who Cthulhu is, you know.

I've heard the name, I just don't know. Yeah,

all right, you know you're gonna have to go back

and read everything by HP Lovecraft now Not unless

you pay me to do it. You can find them online

for free So Cthulhu knocks the scug over and

eats his gun You have to see it number one you

have to see what it looks like just go Oh, it

looks just like Cthulhu and secondly you'd have

to know who Cthulhu is Yeah, right about now

is where I would put in the the clip of Grimlock

It's a combination between Grimlock, Yoda, and

Beast Wars Megatron. Don't have my voice revved

up for Yoda right now. Yeah, well, Scott McNeil

would dig talking with you. As well as David

Kaye. Yeah, yeah. He'll be talking to my invisible

lawyer. That's right. That's standing here next

to me. And all he has to say is, years. Years.

Actually, Scott McNeil is terribly cool, if you

get a chance to meet him. I wish. He hasn't been

to the recent BotCons, but I was in, I think,

Iacon. It was in Fort Wayne last time that I

was. Might have been two years back, and he was

there. And I met him a couple times other than

that. But at Iacon, there was like all of 20

people there. So we're all hanging out with Scott

McNeil. That was really neat. The last time Christy

and I went... I was in the Hasbro panel and Scott

McNeil was doing signatures. And Chrissy went

and talked to him. Talked to him and his girlfriend.

And he's like, I've only heard this second hand,

but he's like, I did Rattrap. And she's like,

no, doesn't sound familiar. And he's going through

the Rattrap voice and she's like, no. And he

goes, I did DinoBot 2. And she's like, no, doesn't

sound familiar. And she's like, was he a giant

robot? And he's like, no, no, he was in Beast

Wars. And his girlfriend's shaking her head like,

yeah, you know. And she's like, no, I don't remember

that. But yeah, she met him. She got his autograph.

And she talked to him for a little while. Back

to our thoughts on Starscream's ghost, since

that's what we're talking about. There goes the

tangent. You're only allowed one tangent this

episode. Per thoughts. Yeah, the last of the

thoughts... No, not per thoughts. One episode.

Exactly. Galvatron at the end. Apparently, Galvatron

is being ambushed by everyone. Again, cue Gary

Oldman. Everyone! Yeah, this is what I was telling

you about, Michael, last episode. Exactly. About

the ambush. Go ahead. Yes. Because Starscream

basically made... Megatron slash Galvatron, his

bitch, once more. Yeah, exactly. So they show

up, the Autobots ambush them, which again, very

un -Autobotly. Well, I'm sorry, but Starscream

kind of tipped him off and said, you know, here

you go. Yeah, well that's the thing, Starscream

gift wraps Galvatron, hands him to the Autobots,

and yet... And they still screw it up. yeah they

still screwed Galvatron still gets away he gets

away and he looks he looks badass I mean he's

all beat up and he's like you know I'm so gonna

kick your ass but what would have been really

cool is if they would have given us a you know

an extra five minutes just to watch Galvatron

beat the snot out of out of the you know all

the Autobots at the same time oh yeah very much

now it needs to be said that Mr. Wilson over

there has coined a new Transformers term on TFG1

podcast, auto -botly. I have never heard that

before you saying it. And it's antecedent, which

is un -auto -botly. Oh, lord. As in decepticon

-ly. Aw, Christ. Okay, do we have any other thoughts

pertaining to Starscream Ghost? I will hand it

off to Steve. Um, yes, well... This episode,

as well as Ghost in the Machine, which I will

hit on later, and the last two episodes of the

season, are my absolute favorite of season three.

Mostly because it tags back into the first and

second season, revisiting one of my favorite

characters that somehow managed to live on. I

just like the overall portrayal of Starscream

of how he's, you know, just showing up back and

still manipulative as ever and still getting

under Galvatron's skin as usual. Yes. Is that

all you have to say? Damn you, Taco Bell. What?

Damn you, Taco Bell. Yes, there's a wiki... of

Starscream's ghost and it's got a picture of

Cyclonus with a hole in him and there's exhaust

flowing out from him when Galvatron shot him

to have Starscream leave him. And it says on

the label, damn you Taco Bell. But I like how

the episode ends with Galvatron realizing Starscream's

back and pretty pissed off that he's shown back

up. You know, how he slags his actual number

one loyalist troop. In doing so, Starscream also

takes over Scourge. Now, wait, that wasn't Scourge.

Yes it was. No, it wasn't. It was the next episode.

No, it showed it at the very... No, shut up.

I know at the very end. No, you shut up. At the

very end, it wasn't Scourge. It was a different

sweep. Because it's a different voice. It's not

Scourge until... Because in the next episode,

it goes to the machine. Scourge is walking down

the little char pathway or whatever and Starscream

shows up And then he goes into Scourge's body

by the end of this episode It's one of the other

non sequitur sweeps that he jumps into I think

that there was a lot of Trading of voices back

and forth and not just between Starscream and

the host, but I mean literally screw us truing

up of voices Uh, attributing the wrong lines

to different bodies. Uh, you know, so I think

it could be forgiven if you think, oh, that might

have been Scourge. Because in the next episode...

It is Scourge. Well, yeah, but I mean it isn't

already Scourge is what I'm saying because of

the fact that in the next episode and we'll get

to this, you know, Scourge, like I just said,

is walking down the little road there on Char

and Starscream appears out of nowhere and jumps

in his body. And he's like, what are you doing

here Starscream? I don't know what you're doing

here, blah, blah, blah, blah. So that's what

makes me think the one at the end of this episode

was one of the other unnamed sweeps. that cyclone

or cyclones scourge uh... attended leads is on

to rush yes posse if you scourge over seven hell

every sweeps out to three and six or whatever

is in that stupid spot on three that's right

as we have to six and seven or whatever it is

so sorry steve you're on I could be a dick right

here, and I could edit you out. I don't think

so. But for now I'm just gonna say, you're a

bitch, and let's go to the next episode. Alright,

oh, next. Uh, yeah, we're gonna go on to the

next episode, so, yep. Autobots dispose of him!

Why would Starscream's ghost and scourge remove

Metroplex's eyes and then blow him up? I don't

know. All of Cybertron is on full alert. We're

ready for the worst. Hey, sound the red alarm!

There's something coming in from the looks of

it on set! The Decepticons have everything to

do with it! I mean, who else would just come

barging in on us like this? You know, I'd really

like to... Early warning display on main screen!

Sorry to interrupt blur that bogey's moving in

fast. We better move on it! Give me a visual

on the main screen. Astrotrain. and no telling

how many Decepticons are aboard. Protector bots,

man defensive laser batteries and be prepared

to blast him out of the sky. Here he comes, lock

and load. Locked and loaded. This is where I

- You will deliver the Decepticon city known

as Trypticon to me. But we were just there! You

know, for the strong silent type, you sure talk

too much. We'd be happy to bring Trypticon here.

Why did Galvatron have you attack Cybertron all

by yourself? Are you stupid or just obedient?

Alright, up next is Ghost in the Machine and

according to the little booklet, uh... ghost

machine c according to the little booklet shut

the fuck up as a result of that uh... shut up

having taken over the body of scourge star scream

heads towards the server trans new moon the disembodied

head of unicorn within the head star scream reactivates

the chaos bringers brain functions and the two

strike a bargain unicron will remake stars dreams

corporeal forms in exchange for performing three

labor is beginning with the theft of metroplex

is optic sensors from autobot city on all of

them so let's see uh... as i said uh... so you

know uh... stars cream takes over scourges body

unlike in the previous episode it was an unnamed

sweep that he took over at the end uh... He starts

attacking the Decepticons. They think that Scourge

is a traitor, but he tells them that it isn't

him. Starscream's ghost and Scourge fly off of

a char. And this is going to come up later with

the sweeps when they realize that... No, it came

up last episode when the sweeps realized that

Cyclonus didn't sound like himself. So, oh crap.

Talk amongst yourselves. Somebody's knocking

at my door. You gotta be kidding me. Just go

to the synopsis where we can re -record it, hold

on. Yes, and in the synopsis, this episode was

very cool. Yes. I liked it. Yes, I liked it too.

Yes, anyway, Starscream takes over Scrooge's

body and attacks the Decepticons. They brand

him a traitor, but basically, Scrooge is Starscream's

bitch. Starscream takes over astro train at some

point and Finally spike and bumblebee show up

again Probably I don't think have they shown

up together since the movie who? Bumblebee and

spike no they have not shown up together. Yeah,

no they have not No it wasn't He was sitting

in the brain vault and his bike is driving Bumblebee

and it's like these giant monster tires with

a tiny, tiny Volkswagen bug on top. Yeah, that's

true. But on a side note, not according to this

episode, why can't fucking people alert me or

call me or something or let me know like a day

beforehand when they're gonna come around and

do fucking rounds? Fucking all the hell. Anyway,

um, yeah. We just mentioned the spike in Bubble

Bee appearance, and... Metroplex's brain explosion

was cool as hell. Yes. Go ahead, Steve. I was

going to say that there's an actual saying that

Metroplex said. He says, Decepticon intruders

in my brain! In a blind Transformer, I don't

think we've ever seen that in this series. I

don't think we've seen that in any series, actually.

Because, I mean, obviously, you know, they took

his eyes away, so technically that's taking his

sight. So that's technically making him blind

and he can't see. So I don't think we've ever

seen that in any Transformers cartoon. Well,

that's true. I mean, you know, they have the

visors that come down. Technically, he could

have been looking out his visors. Yes This is

not Star Trek. This is not Jordy LaForge We want

to go down the Star Trek. Yeah, let's not go

down the Star Trek red hole this time Let's go

down the Star Trek red hole. No, it's not. We'll

save that for get cast radio. No No, we'll jump

into Jeffrey's tubes. That's right. You already

mentioned Jeffrey What happened to octane? What

happened to Octane? He was pretty important in

the last episode, and suddenly Octane's gone.

And suddenly, I don't think he really cares anymore

that he's in the show. I think he just committed

suicide in between episodes. They don't even...

He scared the piss out of him, and he committed

Harry Carrey. Yeah, I don't even know... I did

a little scut, the scutzoid decided to kill him.

And finally, you know, chopped off his brain.

That's right, the scug shot first. Our bitch

slapped him to death. One of my favorite moments

here was, well there's probably two favorite

moments, but one of them was Scourge being inhabited

by the ghost of Starscream, but Starscream's

pissed at him so he's hitting himself. He's like,

stop hitting yourself! Stop hitting yourself!

He's just beating up on himself, which I thought

was hilarious. Oh, yeah. And the other scene

was Starscream. He's approaching, I believe it

was a couple of the chromaticons, and he says,

well, you're not supposed to be here. He says,

where's your pass? And Starscream says, passes?

I don't have to show you no stinky passes. Yeah.

It was scourges on the other side, and then Starscream's

ghost came up behind them. Because he was not

in scourge at the time But yeah, but yeah, you're

right as far as the quote. All right, the line

was pulled from the treasure of Sierra Madre

With Humphrey Bogart, okay again, mr. Wilson

is showing his age 1948 I wasn't alive in 48.

I just happen to know a little bit of movie trivia

here. Yeah He's a teacher that's true They're

there they're supposed to know things they're

required to be knowledgeable in various areas

Yes, anyway the electrical energy that unicorn

projects looks like the Emperor's from Star Wars

When I believe that's the scene where the Autobot

inside him and he attacks them from within with

with energy coming out of his head and the inside

I think that's the scene that that that's um

I think that's what that's referencing. I think,

again, as I said before, these notes are three

months old, so. It would have been awesome if

you said, you don't know the power of the dark

side. Speaking of Unicron, since we're on a Unicron

away, since the TFTM was the last thing he ever

did. Do we know who did the voice for Unicron?

Cause I don't know if it was one of the regular,

you know, multi -purpose voice actors that did

it or if it was somebody that they brought in

to try to sound like Orson Welles. I'm sure Steve

is over there typing to look it up. Typing furiously.

Yes. Wow. You know me well. Yeah, I want to mention

that Thrust and Gerge are still around and they

are terribly cool. Yeah, that's something we

do have to bring up. runabout and runamook I

believe is what their names are I don't remember

which color is which but between those two and

thrust and dirge all four of them screw up and

there is a picture in the PredaconEmpire .com

slash cafe spark forum thread the G1 screenshots

that I took of The shot where Galvatron is gonna

shoot all four of them because he's screaming

at them about them fucking up and I caught the

I caught the screen cap just as it shows the

blast and I have the new slogan for Uncle Sam

in the army Galvatron wants you Because it's

kind of like Uncle Sam pointing his finger at

you and where it says Uncle Sam wants you well

the same thing with the gun issue Did you find

the voice actor? No, they don't show on IMDB.

But as I was saying, it sounds eerily close to

Wells, so I don't know if it was somebody that...

Okay, now somebody else is looking something

up. Well, I think Orson Welles had such an iconic

voice. I'm sure that lots of people did. You

know, uh, in First Nations. That's possible.

Um, good continuity. The Shadow knows. What?

Whoa. Oh. Okay. Or someone else was the Shadow?

I found who did it. Oh, did you? Yes, I'm crazy.

Um... Shut up. I didn't say... His voice actor

was Roger C. Carmel. Oh, the dude that played

Cyclonus, okay. Yeah, and so he did the voice

in those episodes of this season and Also in

the movie towards the end It was Leonard Nimoy

that finished off Orson Welles lines because

he passed away. I thought that was just a rumor

No, actually Orson Welles finished Orson Welles

lines No, he didn't because if you listen to

the end where it says you cannot destroy it's

it's not even Orson That's Leonard Nimoy all

the way Okay, I'll buy that but yeah from what

I've heard that that was the only part yeah Yeah,

I've heard it goes either way, but but no it

does not sound a lot like anyway Yes, very much

so Okay, good continuity between the movie and

this episode Okay, why did I write that note?

Trying to think why the hell I wrote that note

I don't the I don't remember the only other thought

I had was at the very end, you've got Starscream

blasting off again like Team Rocket. He says,

this is Starscream blasting off again! And he

literally swirls out into the horizon. I don't

think it did, but I think I was imagining it

going... It's Starscream! Blast him! Wait, ghosts

can't... float aimlessly through space? I think

they can. He wasn't a ghost anyway. My last note

before before you guys say anything else about

your notes or before we go on to the thoughts

section There is a gleam in Unicron's eye after

the Autobots have planted explosives and they

blow him and Starscream up So who's to say that

he won't be back? This pulls in at the very last

scene where Rodimus says to madness and that

green bastard that uh... somebody must go to

unicron to retrieve metroplex's eyes and then

run a miss goes on just kidding will construct

new ones at the very end after that it pans of

the camera pans over out to unicron you see a

gleam in his right eye so uh... uh... i wouldn't

thinking that they were going to bring him back

at some point but they just didn't after they

were using it No, they don't. Did they? Yeah,

they do. No, they don't. You see the head every

once in a while. Dude, they reuse it. Dude, they

don't. Grimlock's new brain. They give the backstory,

but they don't use Unicron. That's Primacron.

No, they use Unicron's freaking head, dude. Well,

yeah, but I mean... But he's not alive, though.

He's just a head. No, he's not alive, but they

use the head. He was ahead of his time. Oh, God.

He should have stopped while he was ahead. Insert

bad puns here. Alright, so do you guys have anything

else on the synopsis part? Actually, I thought

that we were already in thoughts, so I already

blew my wad on this one. Okay, wacko. Now we're

getting into the bad puns. No, no, no. There's

many puns to be had. much pun That's like the

third episode that I've done the bang head on

desk thing ow it gets better and better and better

and Okay, so All right now that you're properly

concussed. Yes, really all right now on to our

thoughts All right now for our thoughts on ghost

in the machine I'm brain dead, so Steve, take

it away. Yay, me. Anyways, I like this episode

actually a lot more than pretty much any of the

other episodes of Season 3. This episode is basically

Starscream getting to screw everyone, including

backstabbing Unicron himself when Unicron and

Starscream at the very end are talking and...

Starscream needs a body basically so Galvat -

or Unicron grants him a body and Unicron tells

him now make the connection and Starscream looks

at him throws the cable on the ground says do

it yourself, and then he flies off He says ha

ha sucker, and then and just then the Autobots

energon explosives Okay, how the fuck do you

have energon explosives anyway? The energon explosives

blow up Shooting Unicron's head off of Cybertron

in Starscream tumbles through space. I think

Energon is naturally volatile. They've blown

it up all the time. Now, this is what makes me

confused about this episode because it basically

ties Starscream into Beast Wars in this episode.

Seeing the Beast Wars episode first, I didn't

understand. And then when I saw this, it made

me more fully understand that Starscream is obviously

drifting through space. But it doesn't tell how

he lost the actual body. Because he's never actually

destroyed. Well, let me just show them, they're

blown to bits. Well, they just shot him, and

he just kept drifting. But in Beast Wars, you

see him as a spark. Yeah, I mean, in Beast Wars,

he's just a spark. A bodiless spark floating

through space. Which, you know, technically they're

not supposed to do. Well, we'll get to that once

we get to the Beast Unleashed podcast from the

Geekcast Radio Network, which, as of right now,

is still to be determined. Looking like December.

Yeah, pretty much. I'll start it without you.

Don't worry. No, you won't. My idea got to you.

Call me. I so want to be in on that. Oh, no problem.

I mean, we've had, and I know this is another

tangent, because I don't have that many thoughts

on the rest of it. of the episode, but I've had

tons of people ask me to be on Beast Unleashed,

but we'll probably select one or two alternating

hosts maybe at some point. You're probably going

to get a call from the people who every year

ask if Beast Force is going to make a comeback

at BotCon. Yeah, that would be on my list of

things to ask, of course. I hate those people.

Beast Wars is dead! Dead! Well it's not entirely,

they brought it back in IDW and they basically

left off with Megatron about to wreak havoc on

everything. Yeah, well they have that and now

with the universe 25th anniversary stuff they've

got new toys too. Yes. I actually want to see

a completely redone dragon form of Megatron.

But anyways, that's a... It better be purple

and not fucking red this time. He's supposed

to be fucking red. No, he's not supposed to be

fucking red. He's supposed to be purple, dammit.

Look at the main logo on Predacon Empire. Yeah,

yeah, yeah. Blah, blah, blah, blah. Alright,

so final thoughts on Ghost in the Machine, which

is a Generation 1 episode. uh... here's to use

that team star street blessing up with uh...

yeah you almost lost your voice in that one i

know you see this is what i was saying exactly

we have three more we have four more episodes

so you need to not lose your voice damage well

it's not like it's carnage and see me no we have

twenty one twenty two twenty three twenty rest

of you know we have four hours I thought you

meant in this episode. No, podcast episodes.

Okay. Yeah, we're moving on to the next episode,

ladies and gentlemen. See ya. Click. Once we

Quintessons were the masters of Cybertron until

the Autobots ancestors forced us into exile.

Through the ages, many groups of Quintessons

have tried to retake Cybertron, but none have

succeeded. Until now. To secure Cybertron for

the future, we can draw on help from our distant

past. What do you mean? Surely you have not forgotten

our first experiments in cybernetic construction,

the Transorganics. Transorganics? Those are only

a legend! Not to the one who built them. They

were the first attempts at creating a race of

subservient cybernetic warriors, half beast,

half machine. But the process was too unstable,

and the transorganics were judged unfit for even

simple tasks. One transorganic in particular,

originally designed to be a living energy siphon,

turned on us and in the fight. That's when I

lost one of my own faces to the beast. Those

trans -organics we couldn't destroy, we locked

away in a hibernation chamber deep within Cybertron.

Then the rumors we've heard of a massive creature

that dwells beneath Cybertron are true. Yes,

and if that dweller could be released again,

I predict it would destroy every robot on that

world. Alright, up next is Dweller in the Depths,

and according to the booklet... Wow, this episode

was written by Paul Dini. Cool, I didn't know

that. Pooh Dini? Pooh Dini? Pooh Dini? Pooh Dini?

Pooh Dini? Pooh Dini? Pooh Dini? Pooh Dini? Pooh

Dini? Pooh Dini? Yeah, the Quintessons, still

planning to retake Cybertron from the Transformers

they created, devise a plan to release an ancient

horror on the planet. They feed the Decepticons

false coordinates for the Autobots new power

core, tricking the Decepticons into unleashing

failed creation of the Quintessons. freed from

its stasis pod the huge cyborg monster named

the Dweller lumbers to the surface during the

life force of any Autobot or Decepticon that

stands in its way. Yeah this is where people

got the idea for Beast Wars because Transorganic

is in this episode. Actually they call it Transorganic

as opposed to Techno -Organic. Yeah, I don't

know these machines. Yeah. Yeah, well still that's

where they got the idea from for this, but anyway

The Autobots build a power core for Cybertron

to keep them in energy for years what? then why

in I mean, I know that this is going to come

back and it's pretty much going to bite me in

the ass for saying this, but then why in rebirth

is Cybertron basically dark and dead and then

Vector Sigma re -emerges in the planet with excess

solar energy. But then I realized after watching

this episode, after I wrote that, that they had

to eject the power cord. Why not build another

one? Yeah, well they were supposed to. That doesn't

make sense. It seemed like the first one was

pretty easy to make. Yeah, really it only took

them an episode and a half It's nice. We get

a history of the quince experiments before the

transformers with trans organic beings It's also

where the whole Beast Machines storyline came

from The Decepticons never learned the quince

always double -crossed them The trans organics

even have the look of some Beast Wars Beast Machines

characters, I didn't notice that For some odd

reason, I don't know if it's me going back and

forth between the two series, but when I first

saw this, I can see some of the trans organics

in this episode that have, you know, future lookings

of some of the later series characters. It's

a 40 foot tall Beast Machine, or Beast War. You

know, I didn't think they looked so much like

Beast War characters, or Beast Machine characters

for that matter, but... I did think that they

looked kind of like the mutants. They only released

four mutants. But then they didn't have robot

modes of their own. They were just kind of techno

-organic animals that would turn into another

techno -organic animal. And if you fiddled with

them in such a way, a little robot face would

pop out somehow. Yeah, could be it 20 years ago,

so I don't think they're directly related, but

you know if you if you want to draw that true

That's a you know that line between them Yeah

Galvatron is again three months ago. I wrote

this Galvatron is an excellent fighter when he's

fighting everything else other than the Autobots

Let's see, what are the other notes? Oh my god,

Rekgar is saying Yo -Jo when saving Magnus is

funny as hell. Just goes to show you how much

of a crossover Sunbow, G .I. Joe series and G1R,

or were. Rekgar actually saw that episode. He

was quoting it directly from Duke. Well, and

then it's funny because then Springer tells Rekgar,

he says, come on Rekgar buddy, they haven't cancelled

your series yet. Yeah. Let's see the energy draining

trends organic Transorganics effects are really

cool. I didn't like that I like the grid how

they show like when the Autobots like oh my god

What the fuck is draining our energy and it shows

like all the lines kind of going dark From the

center of the planet out. I thought that was

pretty cool. Oh No more power color. It's gone.

You can't have anything nice Yeah, exactly and

the dweller ends up on the quintesson chip and

they got what they deserved That's all I have

for the synopsis, I don't know what else you

I was actually I wanted to pull this I don't

know if you guys made this connection, but this

episode looked like It had started off as kind

of like a nod to Moby Dick Where you've got this?

You know this this quintesson call me Ishmael.

And he's like, well, I need to settle scores

with this white whale, which is actually a giant,

techno -organic worm, because he took my leg.

And it wasn't actually his leg, it was one of

his five faces. And toward the end, he even says,

all I want is revenge for what he did to me.

And then at the end, the very end, you end up

Them face -to -face yet again, and they don't

really show what the you know the dweller did

to the quintessence ship But I'm kind of envisioning

you know the quintessence outside with a huge

harpoon saying you know from the depths of hell

I strike at thee stabbing him in the eye Well,

I mean I can see your point I didn't feel it

when I was when I was watching that episode But

I do see your point and it does make sense Yeah,

what do you think Steve? I don't know You don't

know is all you're gonna say is you don't know

you don't have any other thoughts on the synopsis

No Okay, so I guess we're gonna move into our

thoughts All right, now it's time for our thoughts

on Dweller in the Depths. What do you think,

whoever wants to go first? Yeah, I like this

one. I think that, you know, it kind of went

from the Quintessons tricking the Decepticons

and unleashing this monster. And, you know, it's

like, ooh, it's a monster. And then they're fighting

a giant metal snake and a bear and a bird like

a... laserbeak type of thing, and a turtle with

a giant ball tail, and then the energy monster

shows up and, ooh, scary, but it quickly becomes

one of my favorite things. A zombie movie. And

you've got all these scourges, and the scourges

are dropping like flies against this monster.

I mean, they must have thrown like 20 of them

at it. And next thing you know, you've got a

bunch of gray scourges with glowing red eyes

and they're all lumbering toward the living begging

for brains. Yes. I dug it. I thought that was

a cool thing. Yeah, it's not, for me, it's not

as bad as, say, Webworld. But it's not one that

I could watch over and over again. I don't know

there's a lot going on in this one. Like I said

they kind of they changed it up a lot Well, yeah

They did But I mean it's not one that That's

like I said with with webworld and I think fight

or flee Last episode, you know, those aren't

episodes that I can say. Oh, hey I'm gonna go

grab this DVD and I'm gonna put it in to watch

this episode. This isn't one of those for me

It's not it's I don't completely hate it like

like the other ones but um this just not one

that I particularly care to watch it you know

yeah all the you know whenever so what do you

think Steve oh good Mike oh sorry Steve Mike

no good I was gonna say that there was a there

was a one chance I saw for a recurring character

and that was the the quinnison scientist with

the missing head Because at first, I noticed

he had a missing head. And I'm thinking, well,

that's kind of scary. He's missing faces. I'm

thinking it's a damn lazy artist who doesn't

want to draw faces. And none of the other Quenissans

on the bridge of the Quenissan ship had extra

heads either, because you got like the executioner

and whoever else. And it turns out later that

he's actually missing a face because the energy

monster got it. But not only is he missing a

face, he's kind of got like the Phantom of the

Opera mask over it. Yeah, it's like it's the

phantom of the quintessence, you know cue opera

music But I could see him I mean assuming that

he didn't die at the end didn't really show the

energy monster killing him You can kind of assume

that he might actually come back Yeah, very true

if there were more seasons that is yeah. Yeah

very very true What'd you think Steve? As usual,

Galvatron throwing his own troops as cannon fodder.

Eat him! He throws him. Be a good soldier and

die for your leader. While I walk away. Very

slowly. While I run like hell. See ya. See ya.

They're running away. Did anybody else think

that the power source seemed like an old Megatron

plot? You know, it's like Megatron's dastardly

scheme of the week. I'm gonna create a new power

source, and then I'm going to use it to destroy

the world! Like the heart of Cybertron. It's

something along those lines, yeah. And I'm thinking,

you know, someone's gonna come along and, you

know, blow it up, or they're gonna... It just

seems like a bad guy plot to me. It doesn't seem

like, hey, we're gonna... We've created an unlimited

source of clean energy, and it will... Harkness

into a new golden age. It's like no it sounds

like something Megatron would do I Don't know

I mean I thought it was good. I think it I think

it gives meaning to rebirth Because you know

With what spike does with the rocket with pulling

in the excess solar energy to to bring back the

golden age of Cybertron, but I mean I don't know,

I think it's a way for the Autobots to move on,

to start rebuilding, because really, since the

entire third season has started, after the events

of the movie, they really haven't had time to

rebuild the entire civilization on Cybertron.

I mean, since Unicron pretty much was fucking

standing on it in the movie and destroying everything.

Yeah, right. Well, I mean, at this point, I think

Cybertron is still a rat hole. And, you know,

they haven't really had a chance to, you know...

Well, a chance to repopulate, let alone to rebuild

the entire planet. Maybe they should have blown

up Cybertron and gone to Panadron. That's what

I was thinking when they blew it up, you know?

Well, you know, Rhymas Prime's like, well, you

know, Paradron kind of sucked ass compared to

our planet. It's like, wait a minute, Paradron

was a paradise, and it had fountains of energon.

And how does that compare to Cybertron, which

is still blown to fuck? I don't really see the

comparison. Yeah, um overall dwelling in the

depths is okay. It's not a totally forgettable

episode for me But you know whatever. It's just

one of those Single -shot storylines even though

there is continuity It's just one of those Quintesson.

You know we wanted droid transformers things

you have any final thoughts Steve All right Wait,

what? What are you gonna say? I will leave you

with this one thought. This one thought. Yeah.

RC knows how to handle the big guns. Oh god,

here we go. Galvatrons especially. Except for

the Galvatrons. That's right. Oh god. She was

handling that. Orange cannon. She's got the big

orange cannon. That's right. Anybody got a jizz

mop? And on that note, we're closing this episode.

Yeah, on to the next episode! It was just another

nightmare. It was the same one, Rodimus. A giant

Galvatron was chasing me through this really

awful place. The next time you have that nightmare,

imagine me fighting the giant Galvatron. That's

right. Thanks, Rodimus. He'll be okay. Let him

get some sleep. Thanks for coming, Rodimus. We

didn't know what to do about the nightmares,

and we thought that since he respects you so

much... Forget it. We all have to learn how to

overcome our fears. Alright, up next is Nightmare

Planet and unfortunately Steve had to leave so

it'll just be me and Michael the rest of the

episode. Nightmare Planet... Let's see... In

his nightmares, Daniel is pursued by a gigantic

Galvatron. The boy tells Rodimus Prime, who reassures

him... that they are only dreams no matter how

real they seem, but the Quinisons have a machine

that can look into the human youth's mind and

use those same dreams against the Autobots. Alright,

uh, Nightmare Planet. Uh, first synopsis note,

I fucking hate this episode. Uh... This was a

throwaway app. This is very much this isn't even

a throwaway yet This is like drop a fucking nuclear

bomb on it episode and never watch it again The

giant get the giant Galvatron a witch and something

from the season two child's play episode scares

Daniel in his nightmare I don't like the fact

that Rodimus is calling him Danny that just I

don't know what it is Maybe that's what Carly

calls him. No, they both call him Daniel. Neither

Spike nor Carly call him Danny. Just Rodimus

does. See, Rodimus is being... He's talking down

to him because everybody always talks down to

Rodimus. And Byronimus, I don't know why he's

doing it, but it seems weird that he's calling

him Danny. I don't know, it just kinda irked

me. That's what the script says. It's all a fucking

dream. Well, no, not necessarily. The majority,

okay? No, well no no no wait so what you're saying

though is that everyone's dreaming and that what

happens is This is what confused me as I'm thinking

it is this still Daniel's dream But it's it's

not it's literally the quintessence of a machine

that brings Daniel's dreams to life Right so

they're actually being attacked by a giant witch

right, but what I'm saying is Take out the beginning

part where Rodimus is sitting by Daniel's bedside.

Take out the ending part where they all figure

out it's just a dream. Right as soon as you see

that, on that first commercial break, when you

see the Quinison tentacle go across Daniel, and

then it goes into the commercial break, after

that scene, it's all a fucking dream. Well, it's

Daniel's dream. I know, but it's still a, it's

a dream sequence throughout... you know sixteen

out of twenty two minutes of of the episode well

no i mean it's it's real it's real real to everybody

but i know but what i'm saying is the real world

with a quintessence are that's real where the

autobots are fighting all these people's in this

castle in in fucking dumb green bastard springer

becoming a knight only fucking shit um... that's

a thing i'll get to in a minute what i'm saying

is that whole part with with the transformers

that is that that is a dream sequence and i i

don't know i i just don't like sometimes i don't

like dream sequence type stuff so are you saying

that it's a mass hallucination between all the

autobots they're all having the same dream no

that's not how i got it No, I'm saying it's a

mass hallucination on Daniel's part who put all

the Autobots in the dream. Right, but in real

life the Autobots are fighting Daniel's dream.

I don't know, it's too fucking confusing. Next

time. No, I mean, everything, the whole episode

isn't Daniel's dream. Daniel, what happens is

he's asleep and he's dreaming, but the Quinasans

are using his dream as weapons against the Autobots

who are actually fighting these weapons. It's

kind of like a big holodeck episode. Okay. I

don't know. I just don't know anymore. I hate

this episode so much. Uh, Daniel is fighting

with his subconscious to aid the Autobots inside

the Dreamscape. Uh, all of the Quince plots are

to regain control of Cybertron, and they somewhat,

uh, and they're somewhat more dumb than the Decepticons.

Well, I mean, if you assume that the Quince plot

is to make Daniel have a nightmare, then, yeah,

that's kinda lame. But I really think that the

Quinn's plot was to have Daniel dream up enemies

that would defeat the Autobots in real life.

Yeah. And then Rodimus finally figures it out

that it's all a dream. Excuse me. When the giant

Galvatron shows up. Yeah. directly out of Daniel's

dream. Yes, and then Rodimus' eyes keep changing

colors from red to the usual blue. Yeah, that

was scary. I didn't understand that at all. Green

bastard Springer takes to his nightly duties

very easily. Yeah, complete with joust. Yeah,

exactly. I did get a screencap of him and Razor

Claw, or him riding Razor Claw. Nice. Oh wow,

that's a whole other issue that we don't want

to bring up. Springer riding Razor Claw, yikes.

Anyway, oh yeah, no thanks. We don't want to

sully the Predacons. I have not put that up on

Predacon Empire yet, but I will. Let's see, the

Autobots and Predacons escape the Dreamworld

and rescue Daniel, but the Predacons still want

to fight, however they're too damaged to. And

then the episode ends with Daniel telling Ronimus

about the dream he had. And then Ronimus is like,

oh yeah, the witch and the monsters, and he's

like, how did you know that? Well, we were in

here. Because it happened in real life. They

weren't stuck in his head. Because otherwise

you know that kind of proves that it happened

in real life because if it all was in Daniel's

head Then Rodimus would have never known about

it. Yeah, that's true. I guess I don't know I

I can't say this this this this statement enough.

I fucking hate this episode It's confusing. I

hate it. You know, I mean at first you don't

even know if the monsters are real or not It's

like wait a minute. What the hell is going on?

But yeah takes a second To round out the synopsis

though, I was wondering if you had caught on

to this. Have you seen Dreamscape? No, I don't

think so. It's an older 80's movie basically

about people who have the ability to enter into

other people's dreams in their mind while they're

asleep. And I know I've never seen that okay

Well, there's a good guy and then there's the

bad guy and the bad guy would enter into your

nightmare into your dream and cause you to have

a nightmare and would kill you in your sleep

So it's basically a light version of Freddy Krueger

kind of yeah Well with all the claws and the

blood and the gore and the yeah, yeah Basically,

but this reminded me a lot of that. It's like

well. Let's take your dream and use your dream

against you Except in this case is Daniel's dream

and Daniel dreams of nothing, but really really

stupid monsters Yeah, wait. Why is there a witch

here? This is dumb Think of a better monster.

You've seen the mummy for Christ sakes All right,

do we have any more thoughts on the actual episode

I mean the the synopsis I think that's synopsis

izing enough alrighty then on to our thoughts

alright now for our thoughts on the nightmare

planet uh... well as i said in the synopsis the

only statement i can come up with this episode

is i fucking hate this episode so what do you

think uh... i would think of all the people that

i would want lording over my child while he was

asleep erotimus would be the last one on the

list You know, if I open my eyes in the middle

of the night and there was a giant 40 foot tall

robot, I'd be screaming too. That would give

you the night terrors. And Rodimus is like, I'm

watching you while you sleep. I know! Oh shit,

that's funny. Yeah, you know, and Spike and Carly

are like, we know he looks up to you and we wanted

you to cram your 40 foot frame into his tiny

little bedroom and watch him sleep. Well, I see

I think the sizes of the first of all where the

hell are they living? It has to be either inside

Metroplex or on some city or Either that other

on Cybertron and not on earth because those fucking

doors are huge to the rooms Well, they have to

be They get the Autobots in. Well, I know, but

I'm saying, if it was like a regular house and

like what you're saying, how are you going to

cram this large fucking robot into a kid's bedroom?

They would have to be on Cybertron or something,

because those doors are fucking huge. You'd have

to get used to the 50 -foot ceilings. Yes, that's

true. Is this your room, or is this the grand

fucking ballroom? It's a 50 -foot ceiling. I

mean, I kind of have to make a comparison here

that... Okay, you got spike and bumblebee and

even sometimes spike and optimus prime when he

was Went when spike was younger. Yeah, so you

have with this new generation Daniel Started

out in the movie with hot rod So generally, you

know, it's kind of natural for him to to have

a liking in and respect erotimus Because obviously

they're the same fucking guy. They go away Yeah,

they go way back You know, so I mean, I didn't

really care, I didn't really care too much about

the fact that they're buddy buddy or whatever.

It's just the whole calling him Danny thing,

that just pissed me off. I don't know why it

does, it just does. It's like you said, he's

almost like a fucking robot stalking a kid or

something. He's a robot voyeur. You know like

gladiator, okay, okay next next on topic Thought

because yeah, we're not going into robot voyeurs

on a podcast. No, we're not going that way Did

you notice that the the Predacons seem to have

huge animal heads? Yes Yes, yes, I did It's like

it's like an animal with a big giant head Yeah,

it's like we want to make sure that we can see

them talk You know, we want to make sure their

mouth moves so we give them this giant head with

this huge jaw. Is it just me or is this the only

episode that the Predacons are predominantly

shown in other than... I mean, call all the primitives

they're shown, but I mean, for the most part

it was them and the Autobots in this. Well, no,

they show up a lot lately. They don't always

combine. Well, no, I don't mean as far as combining

into Predaking, but I mean like... You know they

were introduced in five faces of darkness with

Going after skylinks and Marissa Yes, and and

and then they show up somewhere else, but it's

like they were in chaos Well, yeah, but I mean

this episode it seemed to me that they you know

nightmare planet or not is this nightmare planet?

Yeah It seemed to me that they were shown more

predominantly than they have been before So yeah,

they actually all of them actually had speaking

roles at this point. Yep Yes, and then that hasn't

really happened before I mean just one or two

of them. Yeah. Yeah I think I like dive bomb

the best. I don't know why I Think dive bombs

pretty cool. Even though I hated that stupid

mini mini mini -con from leo -8 bot -con set

but anyway i don't even know where that is i

think i i think i sent that off when i sold bot

-con megatron but whatever i've got mine on my

desk right here god now what do you think? mini

-cons are evil i so dig mini -cons mini -cons

are evil you can never have enough mini -cons

because you got to catch them all God here we

go with the fucking Pokemon. That's right Pokemon

of Armada Christ all right. Well, so what did

I think of what now? Yeah Springer and razor

claw team up I Wish razor claw would have eaten

the dumb bastard, but I think he was going to

actually You know what just fuck yourself Springer

Get my ass handed to me over here, buddy. Can

you give me a little hand? And he's like, no,

no, you're dead. Well, I mean, it's kind of -

Grab it up your ass, Springer. You know, that

whole scene is kind of harking back to a Decepticon

in King Arthur's court where, you know, the jousting

and the knights and, you know, all that crap.

But, I mean, you know, I don't know. Springer,

fuck Springer. It's making me wonder if maybe

the writer or, you know - Maybe the writer knew

somebody who was writing for the animated D &D

series at the time. I'm not sure. The writer

for Nightmare Planet was Beth Bornstein. See,

now we have to... Well, if Steve were here, he'd

run and look it up real quick. Yes, but he had

to leave. Anyway... So, what else did you think?

Any other notes on well, I mean aside from this

just being a throwaway episode It's uh, you know,

it's fun when you're a little kid cuz you know,

there's a message there There's actually a moral

to the story You know, it's it's you know, if

you have a nightmare just imagine your hero fighting

the bad guy and everything will be fine and that's

what Daniel does and you know, it's like you

You thought transformers were huge. Well now

you've got it you know, a giant Galvatron and

a giant Rodimus fighting each other that are

probably the same size comparison to humans to

regular Transformers. So, you know, his mind's

completely blown at this point, like, holy fuck,

is that what I look like? But, yeah, so, I mean,

there's a moral to the story that little kids

can walk away with. Now, as far as adults watching

it, they're going to be like, ah, crap, what

the hell. Yeah, exactly. I seem to remember liking

this when I was little, so I'm gonna give it

a thumbs up nevertheless. Two thumbs down. Fuck

this episode. Thank you, Cisco. Yes, that's right.

Oh, wait. Cisco's dead. Gee, thanks. I guess

what he's trying to say, ladies and gentlemen,

is that this podcast is dying over here. You're

killing me! You're killing me! On to the final

episode of today. my current plan fails there's

always my ultimate weapon nothing can stand in

its wake ultimate weapon what are you talking

about you'll find out soon enough you and the

rest of the world all right last up today is

the ultimate weapon and according to the little

booklets let's see First Aid's confidence is

at an all -time low. The pacifist medic sees

all the violence the humans perpetrate against

each other and is helpless to protect teammate

blades from injury during a Decepticon attack.

Retreating from that same attack, Galvatron taunts

Rhonomus Prime with a threat of an ultimate weapon

that will destroy the Autobots. When Swindle...

infiltrates Metroplex and easily bests first

aid, the forlorn Protector Bot quits the Autobots

and leaves behind the war. Alright, let's get

into the notes that I have here. At least we're

done with the booklet for this episode. I don't

have to worry about doing that. As I said before,

this episode starts off with rioting humans and

the Autobots attempting to aid the police in

stopping the riots. This is... Was that the French?

No. It looked like the French. They've all got

berets and ascots. And striped shirts. It's like,

why are the French attacking? The French never

attack. The French would give up. God, let's

not go there. Let's hope there's no French people

that listen to this podcast. Wait, wait. Nice.

Okay, okay, you can stop now with the bad impressions.

Yeah, they looked French. Since when did the

French have laser guns? This is wrong. Galvatron

gave it to him. Oh, well no, wait, I got a better

idea. Skylinks shit them out of his turbo boosters.

That's right, the first thing, we're pacifists,

we can't, we give up in these situations and

Skylinks swoops in and shits out a bunch of laser

guns and says, take mine! Crap, okay. This is

the episode where Rodimus first begins to doubt

himself as the leader of the Autobots. Rodimus'

gun in the battle between the Autobot and Decepticon

looks strangely like Optimus' rifle. Did you

notice that? I did not. If you go back, I don't

know how you're watching these, but if you go

back and you look, as the battle progresses,

he is holding the gun in two hands, and in previous

ones he's only held his gun in one hand. It's

a black rifle. It looks just like Optimus's rifle

from previous seasons. He inherited old Betsy.

Yeah, really. they only inherited giant dead

you're going to need this one giant fucking jewel

it's in his chest it's healthy inherited uh...

man tits what the hell anyway if galvatron and

this is brought up later uh... in in in the episode

of galatron has a quote -unquote ultimate weapon

why hasn't he used it before Swindle can't help

but be treacherous. Stupidly, he tries to strike

a deal with Galvatron. For the transformation

cog, he stole from Metroplex, and of course,

Galvatron just blasts him. This is the second

time that's happened. Yeah. He never learns.

No, well, he is Swindle, so... Trypticon goes

on a rampage in order to reach Metroplex. First

aid isn't a fighter. He is a medic and I have

in bold this becomes a running theme later with

non fighting Autobots Um, I believe that I brought

this up before I think it was was it mirage?

one of the one of this one of the original g1

characters in season 1 or season 2 one of them

was not a fighter and I know later on it's Cerebros

that's not the that doesn't want to fight I'm

trying to think was it mirage that was the non

fighter I thought it was Ratchet. No, Ratchet

always fought. No, Ratchet always fought. I thought

it was Mirage. Yeah, it is Mirage. It doesn't

like to fight. But anyway, so throughout the

entire series we have a running gag of at least

one Autobot not wanting to even participate in

the war. And I kind of see First Aids, you know...

Point he is a medic. He's not a fighter and that's

and that's fine. And you know and actually this

is kind of funny Rodimus and the rest don't Actually

destroy his beliefs and like they did to yeah,

they don't seem to have a problem like they did

on para. Yeah, exactly It's like you're a medic

first aid and we don't expect you to compromise

your beliefs and then skylinks comes in and shits

out a ton of weapons. Okay, now get off. You're

not talking about the Paradron. But it's a parallel

to what happened on Paradron. Yeah, that's true.

Whereas with First Aid, it's like, hey, it's

cool. Don't worry about it. But when you're talking

about Paradron, it's, oh, you're a bunch of pussies.

You better pick up these guns and use them right

now. Because if you don't, then we're not going

to think you're cool. Yes. Holy fuck, Silverbolt

flies right into Triticon's mouth. Fucking awesome.

That was awesome. That was straight out of Episode

6. Episode 6 Lando Calrissian and some little

gray dude flying silverbolt right down into the

tree. Okay. All right If you would have said

return of the Jedi or you know, something like

that. I'm like episodes of Star Wars Yeah, okay,

if you'd said Star Wars, I didn't turn to the

fucking Jedi. Yeah All right, right again, and

I will keep bringing this up until they fucking

pick a color scheme. His cut rotamuses color

changes again. Pick a scheme already you dumb

bastards please for christ sake. Either the movie

scheme or the season 3 scheme. Pick one. How

is it that first aid is the only one that can

reinstall the transformation cog when pipes put

it back in in five faces of darkness? That makes

no sense to me whatsoever. How is it that now

First Aid is the only one that knows the inner

workings of Metroplex? Which at the same time

is kind of fucking weird that First Aid and Metroplex,

who are both male Autobots, First Aid knows the

entire inner workings of Metroplex? Hello sexual

joke reference! There's a lot of inner workings

in that picture. God, let's not even... Okay.

Yeah. Holy shit. Oh, wait. Oh, that didn't sound

right. Alright, um... That's not... that's not

what i meant and that's the only a ship the hell

up uh... yes he's like a tripod look at it he's

like okay stop stop stop uh... uh... uh... spiked

full cyclonus which i think is so funny until

cyclone a cease at the car is missing uh... first

of all this wall first of all when i was going

back last night earlier you know you know it's

not uh... watching these uh... And this will

come about later with Spike putting his son into

danger The two of them were in these repairing

uniforms and both of them have blowtorches Daniel

is not even fucking 16 years old He's like eight

or nine and the kids using a fucking blowtorch

I will go back and take a screen cap and I will

go back I will take a screen cap and I will email

the picture to you because the two of them Spike

is on the left and Daniel's on his right the

two of them have blowtorch guns like laser guns

So blowtorch laser whatever. It's the same damn

deal. Why the hell does the kid have a laser

gun? Whatever Well, okay, I'll buy that Another

big Metroplex trypticon battle way cool The yeah

and the end of the episode the ultimate weapon

was just a giant ploy which Rodimus eventually

sees through. You know what kills me though is,

Galvatron finally has a plan. He's finally thinking

ahead. It's not just, ooh, something shiny. Let's

kill it! You know, it's, it's, he's, he's formulating

a plan, and what is his plan? His plan is, I'm

going to lie to Rodimus, and he will believe

me! Whoo -hoo -hoo -ha! It's just a sucky plan.

It makes no sense. In fact, part of me kind of

wishes that he did have an ultimate weapon that

would have struck down Rodimus. Here we go. What?

I don't like Rodimus. You Rodimus hater. Bring

back Prime. They will, eventually. Just wait.

Rodimus, whine, whine, whine. Oh, I'm not good

enough. Oh, if none is good, it's Prime. Oh,

whine, whine, whine. Alright. It's like, shut

up. Where's that ultimate weapon? I'm going to

kick his ass. Alright, so I think we're going

to go on to our thoughts unless you have anything

else for the synopsis here. Actually, the only

thing that I was going to say as far as synopsis

is that there seems to be managerial skills involved

here. You know it's like all the managerial skills.

I have I've learned from transformers a lot of

people petting their subordinates on the back

in this episode Whether it be whether you know

it's gonna be a hot shot or hot spot I'm sorry

you know congratulating his crew on a job well

done or Rodimus saying great job guys. I mean

there's an awful lot of You know patting each

other on the back in this episode and it makes

me wonder if maybe the writer was feeling underappreciated

I'm not sure. Let's see who wrote this episode

actually the ultimate weapon was written by Arthur

Byron cover don't know who that is. Oh see that

is so Of course he had an inferiority complex

and he's like no one ever tells me I did a good

job Rodimus would told me I was if it's not if

it's not flint and dilly buzz Dixon or Paul Dini

in g1 I don't know who the fuck it is Alright,

so we're gonna get into our thoughts All right,

and this is the last episode today the ultimate

weapon and it is time for our thoughts What'd

you think? Yeah, I like this one And I didn't

so much like the subplot of first aid bailing

out. This happens every so often where it's either

Rodimus saying, oh, I'm not good enough, or a

character saying, oh, this just isn't for me,

and maybe I should go off into my own thing.

I don't like that. I don't think it contributed

much to the... I mean, it was nice that he was

redeemed, and at the end he got to fix Metroplex,

but... I just don't like that type of subplot.

But otherwise, the rest of it, which consisted

of giant city robots fighting, that I dug. There's

nothing not to like there. But did you notice,

I want to say that the Metroplex's transformation

cog seems to be an ongoing MacGuffin here. It

tends to come up a lot. Oh, yeah, very much so

That's like yeah, you know if they you think

that they would have better security Around us

seeing as everyone's trying to steal it every

other episode. Oh Yeah, I know between guard

dogs What was it five faces of darkness or yeah,

yeah Yeah, I don't you would think they'd have

better security for it actually. Yeah, I would

assume You know there and you know right on this

comes in Was it was it this episode I think it

was and and says hey you're all doing a bang

-up job protecting the the city You know the

next thing you know well shit the transformation

cog is gone It's like come on you know come do

your job. Yeah, we don't ask much from our security

officer just that they secure the facility Yeah,

exactly. It's not too much to ask for Yeah, I

know it's ridiculous You're like, yeah. Yeah.

Yeah Well, no, it's ridiculous. I mean It's just

Way too easy to walk in and steal a transformation

card and it's like one guy swindle walks in and

says yeah, I'll be taking this now Yeah, there's

not much you can do to stop me And first of all,

how does first aid not know who swindle is everybody

knows who swindle is it's Fred Willard Well now

he wasn't Fred Willard in this series, thank

you right, but I'm seeing swindle. I'm thinking

Fred Willard Yeah, yeah, I mean I got Okay, I

really really really like transformers animated

so and I really like those voice and transformers

animated. I think I think that was awesome Oh

yeah, I mean, I like it too, but that's, you

know, that's beside the point. I, you know, I

don't know. But how do you not know who the fuck

Swindle is? Everybody knows Swindle. It's Swindle.

Of Swindle, Swindle, and Swindle. Yeah. Alright

then, so do you have any other notes for the

thoughts here? Uh, well, you know, I noticed

that there's a junkyard that isn't run by junkions.

Yeah. It's um, oh crap, I just saw it last night.

What was the episode? Null A. Yeah, that's what

I did. Null A. Yeah, I got the joke. It's like,

wait a minute, you know the Junkions are in every

other episode, or at least Rekgar is in every

other episode. You'd think they'd put a throwaway

Junkion in here to run the Junkyard. Yeah, really.

Yeah, and first aid, filling his days, repairing

refrigerators. Like the Maytag Repair Man. You

know, when I'm not putting together refrigerators,

I'm repairing Metroplex and getting to know his

inner workings in an intimate way. You know,

you'd think he would be a little under -fulfilled

hanging out in a junkyard talking with the old

-timer who, curiously, isn't a junkie on. Yeah.

Didn't make much sense to me. I just thought

that was kind of strange. Nope, not at all. And

at the end, uh, two things that I thought of

at the end. Rodimus actually uses his brain,

and of course, like you said before, everybody's

petting everybody else in the back. He and Springer,

he and uh, not Springer, fucking green bastard,

uh, he and uh, uh, Magnus shake hands. At the

end of it, I think. Yeah, don't they? I don't

remember that actually. I thought they did, or

maybe it's... Yeah! Really? Okay. I thought they

did. I have a screen cap of it, but I don't know

if it was this one or another one. I'll take

that. Well, at least they have hands. Gimp Fensor

didn't have an arm. Yeah, how the hell did the

combiner transform? I know, he's like, let's

try this without blades, and they transform without

an arm. And I'm thinking, it's Gimp Fensor. What

I didn't understand, you know... I'm not sure

if Scramble City rules apply here, but you would

think that one of the aerial bots could have

filled in as an arm, which would have kicked

ass. Yeah, it would have, but I don't think the

Scramble City rules apply because it was still

in production at this point. And Scramble City

happened after the series was over. I thought

Scramble City... oh yeah, that's true. I was

gonna say Scramble City came before the movie.

No, Scramble City came after the movie. Okay,

but yeah, so that would've been cool to see an

aerobot fill up for... The aerobots didn't actually

combine. They were separated the whole time,

so technically one of them could've gone over

and made an arm. But with Scramble City, the

movie, TFTM the movie, wasn't released in Japan

until 1987, which by at this point, the production

on G1 was done. And then they went back and took

scenes... Henry and did did some new animation

with it But yeah, but the toys were already out

in Japan Yeah, and and the Japanese toys were

actually I believe it was in the packaging that

they could swap arms. Yeah It was definitely

in the packaging that you could the Japanese

packaging I don't know about the American packaging,

but the Japanese instructions showed that you

could plug the the combiner limbs directly into

Metro plucks his arms. Yeah, and his knees which

which you know being an American kid I had no

idea it was years before I knew he could do that

But yeah, that would have been neat but at the

same time that would have defeated one of the

plot lines in that they wanted to show that Defensor

was handicapped without blades there. Yeah, exactly

Yeah, despite the fact that you know, he's he's

a pacifist. He makes a really good arm while

beating the snot out of Decepticons or saving

trains that the Decepticons have somehow knocked

off the tracks. Do you have any other final thoughts

on the ultimate weapon? No, not so much. It wasn't

an episode that I would throw away and lock it

up in a padded cell and throw away the key and

throw away the room. It wasn't that bad. But

I don't rank it up there as one of my favorites.

Episodes 3 through 5 today are pretty much throwaways

for me. Pretty much the only two that are worth

watching. The only two that don't have Chris

Lada. Well, no, the only two that do have Chris

Lada. Yeah, so I'm saying it's like, we have

two types of episodes today. The ones that have

Chris Lada and rock. and the ones that don't

have chris lotta and so i thought yes uh... uh...

yeah it's just not it's just not good uh... so

yeah so i think we're going to end uh... the

thoughts on the ultimate weapon uh... you're

going to i believe you're going to be hearing

some ads uh... after this and i don't think i

have any other audio to put in anything to sandwich

in it uh... possibly all established rocks That's

right. And on that note, we'll go to the ads.
