I'm Alana Ace, and today we're breaking down

the most expensive part of the Wayne Enterprises

budget, the Batmobile. We're looking at turbines,

tanks, and the physics of the chase. Welcome

to Alana Unleashed. Let's start with the Keaton

89 in the Batman The Animated Series cars. These

are land jets. What do I mean by that? Well,

we'll get into that shortly. Essentially, they

use turbine engines, specifically the 89 version.

It used components from a Rolls -Royce jet engine.

The benefit? Rust -to -weight ratio. On a straight

Gotham freeway, you're hitting 200 -plus miles

per hour in seconds. But let's look at the pitfalls

of a 20 -foot car with a 15 -foot wheelbase.

The turning radius? It's essentially that of

a cruise ship. In a city of tight corners, well,

this car is a nightmare. Batman uses the grappling

hook turn to cheat the laws of physics, but in

reality, at high speeds, that much force would

likely shear the chassis in half or rip the anchor

point straight out of the masonry. Furthermore,

the heat coming off that rear -end turbine would

melt the bumper off any car following too closely.

It's an engineering disaster. You can't park

it. You can't turn it, and you're essentially

driving a giant fuse. Does it look cool? Yes.

Is it practical? Not really. In 2026, we look

at the 89 car as a relic of aero -style engineering.

It's built for the drag strip, not the urban

sprawl. If you take a 20 -foot car into a Gotham

alleyway, you aren't fighting crime. You're doing

a 50 -foot turn while the Joker gets away. The

animated series version is slightly more stylized,

but it suffers from the same long nose syndrome.

The visibility from the cockpit would be abysmal.

You're sitting 10 feet behind the front tires.

Good luck hitting an apex in that. Don't get

me wrong, I love both of these cars, but they're

just not practical. Then, of course, the philosophy

shifted. Enter the Tumbler. It was designed as

a military bridging vehicle. Benefit, the suspension.

It can jump 30 -plus feet without a ramp by using

a jet flap to lift the nose, and then it uses

an active suspension system that distributes

weight instantly to prevent the axles from snapping

on impact. It's the ultimate urban predator.

But the pitfall? Stealth. A turbine engine is

incredibly loud. You can hear it from six blocks

away. Batman is supposed to be a silent creditor,

but this car, it's essentially a 100 decibel

announcement of his arrival. The BVS Batmobile

tried to fix this by lowering the profile and

adding active aerodynamics. The benefit? Lower

center field of gravity. The pitfall? Well, the

ground clearance. The tumbler can drive over

a concrete barrier. The BVS car would bottom

out and crack its carbon fiber tub. In 2026,

we'd solve this with active ride height. Using

high -speed sensors, the car could lower itself

for the highway and lift itself four inches the

second it detects a curb or debris. It's a tech

we see in modern supercars today, just scaled

up for technical use. The BVS car is the most

realistic midpoint, but it still lacks the sheer

ruggedness of the Tumbler for a city as broken

as Gotham. The 2022 Robert Pattinson Batmobile

represents another major ideological split, a

return to the muscle car. It's the most logical

engine choice for a street -level vigilante in

a world without access to military budget. It's

a pursuit vehicle built on a stripped -down,

high -performance chassis. similar to the 1960s

Batmobile. The benefit? Practicality and speed.

It sacrifices the heavy armor of the Tumbler

for a raw, uncompromising power -to -weight ratio.

A front -mounted engine is easier to maintain

and repair in a hurry than a hidden turbine.

This car is built for sustained high -speed chase

and pit maneuvers. It's a road warrior, not a

tank. But the pitfall? The exposed engine. That's

massive. The roaring engine in the back is a

beautiful piece of design, but it's an engineering

liability. In a combat scenario, it is a single,

massive exposed target. A lucky shot to the air

intake or the fuel line in your primary asset

is now a fireball. Furthermore, the car's aesthetic

is so brutal and raw that it lacks any element

of stealth. You hear this car coming a mile away.

It's the ultimate trade -off. unparalleled acceleration

in a straight line, or complete vulnerability

to gunfire. We finish with a Batman Beyond hover

car. In 2026, eVTOL's electric vertical takeoff

and landing, Terry's car is a logical conclusion.

The benefit? Verticality. You solve the traffic

problem. Pitfall? Aerodynamics. The car, shaped

like a logo, is a nightmare to stabilize in the

high -altitude winds between Gotham's skyscrapers.

Without advanced fly -by -wire stabilizers, one

goes to win and you're a falling brick. Furthermore,

flight requires massive amounts of energy. While

Bruce's cars could run on high -octane fuel or

electric turbines, a flying Batmobile? Well,

it needs a power density that allows for sustained

lift and high -speed pursuit. If your battery

hits 10 % while you're 50 stories up, you aren't
