Hello everyone, and welcome to another edition
of TFWire's War Stories. Episode 13, I am Megatron.
Yes, I have taken over. Steve is not here this
week, it is only I. Today, I will be reading
a story by Steve. It has to do with a character
he created called Ultimis Prime. This one is
called Angsty Ultimis Prime, with something about
ties or restrictions. He ran across the battlefield.
His special test force was nearly gone, almost
all consumed by the enemy. He tried his best.
and was failing. Too long had this war dragged
on, and now it was coming to a close. Well, for
this long -drawn -out branch of it. Enemy fire
slowly picked off what was left of the 431 strike
force. One by one, Ultimus Prime watched his
comrades and friends fall around him. Every skirmish
dragged on longer than the last. Each time, they
were more battle -worn and had little time for
full recovery. He continued firing. and creating
cover for his troops as they would whiz by and
take on the enemy hands. Some fired from afar,
he saw. Ultima stood, posed behind a rock formation.
He stood up every chance he got to let loose
some shots of his fusion cannon and laser rifle.
He could see troops of both camps falling with
enemy fire. Most of his own task force was MIA,
or presumed dead, but it was only a matter of
time before he too would fall. He hid behind
the rocks again. Nearby came the Ultimus, second
in command. Avatar. Prime, we have lost two more
men in the eastern perimeter. As the record shows,
we have two left out of twelve soldiers. You
and I. Ultimus looked at his old friend. He had
the look of guilt trapped in his optics. It was
his fault they fell. He was their leader, and
he had been failing them. He was no Optimus Prime,
but merely a clone. In fact, he was nothing like
Prime. He valued his troops tremendously. They
were like his brothers. He shook his head, clearing
all thoughts, and put his hand on Avatar's shoulder.
Well, let's finish this and go home. They both
took up arms and ran into another field of cover,
both bots carrying heavy loads of ammo and explosives.
Optimus eventually caught up to Avatar, who was
slightly smaller and faster. We'd better split
up. I will take the eastern battalion, and you
can handle the right. Just come back in one piece,
or you'll owe me for bringing your hide back.
He laughed and took off. But as he ran, he could
hear Avatar yell back, Yeah right, Prime! That's
not gonna happen! Ultimus slid across the side
of the first building. It was cracked and cratered
from enemy fire. He peeked around the side and
watched as three guards walked closer. He drew
a hand grenade and threw - at them, blowing them
into small scrap heaps. He ran into the field
and opened fire with his fusion cannon, leveling
several others. Soon enough, he ended up at a
Decepticon shuttle. He walked closer and scanned
it for energy signatures. It registered four
Decepticons. He couldn't use his fusion cannon
or he'd risk destroying the ship. He had to do
this the old -fashioned way. Around the corner,
there stood one guard talking to another. Prime
stepped in. and grabbed the first making him
and his partner fire on each other both guards
fell to the ground he stepped quietly into the
next room where they grabbed him and held him
prisoner from another room walked in another
larger decepticon he was holding avatar let him
go altimus yelled the decepticons laughed and
ripped avatar apart prime watched in horror as
he saw avatar's optics In them, Avatar knew he
was going to die, and Optimus couldn't save him.
That was the last thing Prime saw before they
knocked him offline. That is the end of the first
part. The second is on a greedy Ultimus. You've
got a Targetmaster and an Energon shortage. It
was the year 2257. The Decepticons now ruled
the planet Cybertron. The Autobots are now the
ones cast out as Galvatron and his Decepticons
had been long ago. The leader of a small splinter
group was now the target master, Ultimus Prime.
Although nowadays he went by the name Ultimus,
as he held no Matrix. That was destroyed in the
last war. The Autobots were run down. Most had
gone into stasis lock, and others had become
thieves. Some had become as dastardly as the
Decepticons they fought against. This was all
due to a great Energon shortage. The Decepticons,
now led by Scourge, had completely cut them off
the source. He also killed all of their flyers
to be sure they starved to death. He was taking
no chances this time. Ultimus ran by the now
local beggars. He was awaiting his special transport
of Energon. He stood still as his target master
jumped down and transformed. Do you think they
got caught? Negative. He is the best and will
bring plenty for us all. The targetmaster shrugged
and walked with Optimus to the dark, dry dock
as ship came into view. It wasn't large, as he'd
hoped. Optimus stood and watched the smaller
bot walk out. He carried two energon cubes. So
this is all? I thought we'd have enough to refuel
and battle the Decepticons. Ran into some trouble.
It seems that the stockpile is also low for my
unit as well. They have us all cut off. Ultimus
pondered this and looked at his target master's
sonic shock. The weapon needed no fuel, as he
ate human food. So what to do, he thought. He
looked at the smaller bot and let him go. As
he left, there was a third cube in the back of
the ship. He was angered and fired a shot, detonating
the ship. Slacking thief. He said, staring at
the remaining cubes. He gathered them up and
was about to walk to the others when another
bot walked in. Ultimus fired on sight. The bot
died instantly. He was surprised at himself,
but took the cubes and refueled himself, stashing
the rest for later. The others would never know
he gained the cubes for himself, or they would
die for finding out. Sad as it was, he now became
the same as the others. A greedy thief. Ah, yes.
The falling of Ultimus Prime. Always a great
story. Well, here's the third. Disheveled Ultimus
Prime. No suggestion for the story. Now, here
it begins. It was another boring day at the office.
He sat in his chair at the desk covered with
reports. This was the last thing he needed. More
paperwork. at first he was fine with it however
as the day progressed he wasted more and more
time soon file after file was showing up at his
desk he grabbed one and read the title it read
how to be a better autobot soldier he looked
at it like who the slag would actually need this
anyhow he read more and more his cybernetic brain
began to hurt he became a little disoriented
at sitting here with this pile of work growing
higher and higher as well as his own pains He
looked at his desk. It was a total train wreck.
The files were everywhere. He looked around the
office and realized much of the mess of it was
the same way. He began digging through for the
rest of the report. It showed his past battle
that his old friend Avatar was in. He missed
his old friend, but no matter. He then began
to sift through the pile hoping for some way
of finding the datapad report. And that's the
end of the story. Yes. And now, to roll on the
credits. This is Megatron, signing off. If you'd
