About this Episode

Steve flies solo this week to discuss his work as a TA for the EDX Superhero Pop Culture course, where he's building out a new superhero universe called Altered Generations featuring characters like Mega Drive and the villain Overlord. He revives the 10-Minute Blitz with a new format—one story per minute instead of five in ten—covering news on Booster Gold, Josh Brolin on Batman, Star Wars streaming, Kevin Smith killing off Silent Bob, Taken prequel series, Transformers 5, Star Trek Beyond delays, DC keeping movies and TV separate, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. concept art, and Deadpool/Gambit crossovers. He also shares listener feedback on favorite movies to watch on a deserted island, then dives into nostalgia about classic Nickelodeon shows from the 90s and early 2000s—including Doug, Ren & Stimpy, Rocko's Modern Life, Hey Dude, The Secret World of Alex Mack, Are You Afraid of the Dark, Double Dare, Nick Arcade, Legends of the Hidden Temple, and many more.

Hey, this is Steve blue and you are listening

to the geek cast radio network This week on altered

geek unleashed we talked about the pop culture

class Steve's taking the revived ten -minute

blitz Your questions and the answers to the top

five movies that you would be stranded on an

island for and Steve's favorite Nickelodeon shows

of the past All this and more on Altered Geek

Unleashed. You're tuned in to Steve Megatron

on Altered Geek Unlimited. Hello and welcome

to Altered Geek Unleashed. I'm your host, Steve

Megatron Phillips, and joining me is no one this

week. Unfortunately again, all... parties are

uninvolved this week, whether it be illness,

moving, or various other projects. That being

said, we're going to have a pretty structured,

segmented show. So without further ado, as far

as this week in Geek has been going for me, I've

been... Well, pretty much working on the superhero

class for the second time. As I've mentioned

before, I'm a community teacher's assistant TA.

The class is actually concluding on October the

1st for the second class and I was a part of

the first class and I'm one of the alumni for

the second class taking it again and I decided

that it would be fun to build upon the universe

that I've already built. and it was very barely

hashed out the first time. I created, mind you,

all of these characters that I've actually implemented

so far into the storyline are names that I've

played around with for years. They've either

been alternate screen names of mine, they've

been other stories I've written and used the

characters, so on. So the first class I did a

character called Avatar, which is the futuristic,

this takes place like a hundred years in the

future, and it's kind of a dystopian world that's

kind of destroyed and it's led by corporations

that are dark and sinister anyways. character

the villain has created because of that corporation,

much in the way of Mr. Freeze, except he kind

of goes almost the Joker -y cyborg -rope. And

he's trying to destroy... He's trying to destroy

the corporation, is essentially the story I came

up with. because of what they did to him and

ruined his life and kind of drove him nuts. So

he goes back to the past, not quite as far as,

he went about 20, 30 years into the past and

tried to blow it up ahead of time. So it would

essentially prevent him from turning into that

and the whole cosmic time travel McGuffin. And

Avatar, who is... His father leaves him this

high -tech suit of armor and he doesn't know

why his dad has it Mind you his family is nowhere

to be seen. He's basically like He's you know

20s kind of an almost He's on his own He's supposed

to be like this kind of a tech genius kind of

cocky kind of you kind of the cross between like

booster gold and in like Batman in a sense I

mean, it's it's kind of a nice twist there So

he essentially is going after this villain and

to stop him and in the course of that He does

stop him but the villain goes back even further

in time and the hero Attempts to go back in forward

in time not thinking that the villain went You

know backward and so he follows him and in the

essence of that ends up in the past which is

modern day, which would probably be about 10,

15 years from now. That being said, move ahead

to the second class, where I'm the alumni. I've

had a little bit of practice with it, so doing

it the second time, it wasn't so difficult. Mind

you, they kind of upped the stakes in the second

class. The first class, there was no way to tell

your progress until you turned in the assignment

at the end. There was nothing to turn in. I mean,

yeah, you could participate in the Facebook group

or the community groups. But there was really

nothing to track you week to week like a normal

course would. And it's 50 bucks for the certificate

and you get, you know, the certification and

you also get some custom art for the class. Mind

you, they're both PDF, but who cares? I mean,

it's the age of that. So, I mean, you know, anyhow.

back to the Community TA thing. So I'm helping

out other students taking this class and answering

questions or kind of giving ideas or helping

them through story or proofreading or stuff like

that. So in the meantime, I'm creating my own

story again, except I'm creating the past for

the same universe. I'd already created all the

character designs during the first class, they

were just ones I decided not to use at that point.

And I'm still tweaking them even now, so I mean

it's among that list of things. So I created

whole teams ahead of time, so I'm creating the

leader of the modern day teams of the villain

and the hero. Not necessarily the whole team

yet, I'm not fleshing those out, but it should

be fun regardless. So I sit here and I created

this this hero named Mega Drive who Essentially

has a healing factor, but he doesn't know he

has it at least not right away and He discovers

it because he too is fighting a corporation You

know the stealing resources and kind of You can

almost equate it to like an oil company like

how they they scavenge and steal resources from

people So the character in the real -life version

of the character not the superhero version is

based off of Me loosely You know creating the

the media and tech kind of stuff except he's

a media conglomerate whereas I own a podcast

network It's very parallel to my life in a lot

of ways, the character. He essentially is assassinated

and in the process discovers, when they think

he's dead, that he has a healing factor and it

heals him and it's now active so he can't die

basically I mean he could die if he's dismembered

or you know stuff like that he can't regrow basically

but it's not like you know heroes or Wolverine

or Deadpool or stuff like that degree he'll still

age and he'll still graduates, it's going to

take forever. I'm still working on how long the

healing factor is supposed to function. Anyways,

he creates a suit of armor, he decides to fight,

and there's a villain called Overlord, loosely

based off Beast Wars Megatron. That should be

no surprise for anybody. Creating this character,

you know, I'm having them kind of battle. There's

this Xercellium Which may not be a final name.

I'm still trying to come up with like an original

like elemental name of a material that's not

like All the it seems like all the good ones

are taken, but it's probably because my brain

can't fathom something new So I'm trying to come

up with something in the meantime. I that's what

I'm using Xercellium is the The the material

and it's some kind of a energon type material

with regenerative abilities, so it's got a dual

purpose. Anyways, Overlord's coming to Earth

to steal it because he's been ousted as a tyrant

and exiled from his home world. He wants to conquer

it, so he's coming here to steal it. That's when

Mega Drive jumps in. There's a battle that ensues,

and if people are interested, I'll actually link

to the Google Drive PowerPoint essentially and

have it up for viewing purposes on the episode

post If you're a member of the EDX org Smithsonian

pop culture class, please vote for Megadrive

So I just did a hand gesture and feeling an idiot

because I put my thumbs up to the microphone

and it's audio People are gonna laugh at me later

for that. I bet So, anyways, now that I've bored

the crap out of you guys with this, hopefully

not, I created essentially a comic cover in there

and called it Altered Generations. I created

a logo for it. I created a comic type thing.

Should I ever get this into a comic form, which

would be great, except I can't draw? If I could

draw, I would love to do this, being that I have

it all pretty much mapped out. The good guys

are called the Enforcers. the villains, and their

actual group name is the 431 Strike Force, a

name I created for a Transformers RPG on a forum

years ago, so it's kind of fitting. But their

overall team are the enforcers, because they

enforce the time, space, continuum, and justice

and everything else. The villains are called

the Dark Syndicate, and their race You could

put it because I instead of naming them the enforcers

like the other group because they're just kind

of a mishmash of random things of people and

like aliens and whatnot and creatures the Dark

Syndicate are from the race the Arconians. They're

all exiles from that homeworld And then I of

course in that same thing drew up a map Which

I haven't yet fleshed out all the way and I call

it New Haven which will be where the story takes

place and there's several dots that are going

to be key components in the story that I am still

fleshing out. I found it funny because I can't

really draw and I kind of squiggled the lines

around on paper, on a sheet of paper, scanned

it in and then I started doing overlays and effects

and everything else and so I made it look like

water effect around it. with some high tech and

they're like various islands and stuff so it

should be interesting. I'm having a lot of fun

messing with it. If nothing else, I'm probably

going to try writing it as a short novel type

thing and selling it, see what happens. I would

love to make it into a comic, but again I can't

draw. Now that I've bored the crap out of you

guys with that, we're going to come right back

after this with Uh, the geek th - Well, essentially,

we'll do the 10 -minute blitz. Be right back.

10 -minute blitz. 10 -minute blitz. 10 -minute

blitz. 10 -minute blitz. 10 -minute blitz. And

we're back. So essentially how this is going

to work this episode, um, and it's kind of an

experiment, something that myself and TFD1 Mike

were talking about. There will be an evolution

of the podcast on episode 110. There's still

some things that I'm working out. It was some

suggestions I kind of looked fishing for and

thankfully Mike and I have always had this great

friendship where we're able to bounce ideas off

each other quite frequently and come up with

better ideas. Being I've always wanted to do

more with this podcast, I ... I'm at a loss of

what to do because I've done so many different

things. It's gotten a mesh together now at this

point and I'm having a hard time deciding what

to do. Mike was graciously helping out on his

day off, as he put it, to come up with new ideas.

One of them is on the 10 minute blitz instead

of doing five new stories in 10 minutes. I'm

going to cover a story per minute. And yes, I'm

going to time it. It's going to be interesting

because I'm not sure I can actually talk about

it and mention it in the same minute. Of course,

they'll be in the episode show notes for you

to reference later. I'm not going to actually

sit there and do that all at once. So let me

get my stopwatch ready. And let me get my stories

pulled up because we know how much I like my

stories. So I guess I should probably start the

Blitz. So I have 10 stories that I'm going to

cover and then whatever overflows I'll cover

another time if it's relevant. So getting on

the first we have And the time's starting out,

a booster gold and blue beetle movie reportedly

in development. What do I think about this? I

think it's interesting. I would almost equate

this to being like the DC Universe's version

of, you know, having like Ant -Man or Doctor

Strange in a sense, because I don't consider

them primary characters in any sense of the word.

So I think that this could be rather interesting.

I've always wanted to know more about the two

characters. I'm not entirely sure what all their...

background is but I'm really looking forward

to seeing booster gold in any sense from 25th

century and That's the end of first part of the

blitz Gonna reset it Only this time I'm gonna

instead to do the stopwatch. I'm gonna do the

timer So that's one down nine to go Starting

There was a story that popped out a couple days

ago says Josh Brolin shares his feelings on losing

Batman role to Ben Affleck When we were doing

our initial choices of who we thought should

play Batman it never once occurred to me that

this guy would be a good contender Only reason

I think he'd be a good contender is not because

he played Jonah Hex because I that was just not

that good of a film But he's got that kind of

gravitas that look that Dark no -nonsense kind

of look to him. I think and I was kind of talking

about it on Twitter. I think he could play a

pretty Good Bruce Wayne and a pretty good Batman.

I mean I mean, I know he's Thanos now and everything

but I I think he would have been awesome as it

actually But, I mean, we're getting Ben Affleck,

so... Oh, time's up. Shut off. Okay, so moving

on to the next one. We have... Eh, load Internet

Explorer, load. Could Star Wars be coming to

Netflix? Streaming? It says they've heard back

from Disney and Netflix and they said that there

are no plans currently to stream any and all

Star Wars movies throughout the platform, which

is unfortunate. Yeah, it was a rumor that was

placed a couple days ago, and then they have

an update on there now. It says if you punch

in Star Wars or any of the full titles into the

search, in fact, it oddly points away from the

films entirely. This is while most movies are

subject to type in the name, give you some related

titles. When you type in Empire Strikes Back

or other Star Wars titles, it brings you to a

not found. However, when you put in Return of

the Jedi's page, it says login required. The

screenshot shows in this link that, you know,

it's a placeholder. So if they're gonna do it,

expect probably December, but I highly doubt

it. But yeah, I just thought it was kind of interesting.

I saw this pop up that it's it's in the list

of contenders Wow that does not allow much time

I Think this is a lot more fun doing 10 and 10

minutes. I know it's a little bit over with me

bantering in between But it's funny So Moving

on Kevin Smith plans to kill off Silent Bob in

an upcoming movie Which I've found to be a strange

turn of events, but he's not really Starring

in anything whatsoever, so it's kind of not really

that surprising in all reality It says that Because

he's turned his attention to the true north north

trilogy the horror comedy films. You know, he

did Tusk, and then the next one is Yoga Hosers,

and then the final one is Moose Jaws. He said

that it's gonna be like Jaws, but Moose Jaws,

and it's, you know, Silent Bob is gonna be killed

by Moose, eaten by Moose, basically like the

Captain Quint went in Jaws, so... He gave the

option to Jay or Silent Bob of dying and he says

you not me and he says why and he was like Because

I want to be in other movies. So Yeah, Silent

Bob's gonna get eaten by a moose Wow that is

just not enough time Don't worry this will get

more streamlined as things get better Between

the episodes. It's actually fun Sorry about that.

I had a technical difficulty on my computer.

Internet Explorer crapped out, so I had to use

Firefox, so... Sorry if I repeat something. Starting

the next part of the blitz. Taking prequel TV

series in the works. Do we really need this?

I mean, it seems like almost another 24. And

how are you going to have a girl get kidnapped

like 22 times in a season? But anyways, it's

supposed to be a prequel story telling the origin

of Brian Mills the retired CIA agent in the movies

played by Neeson I'm wondering who they're gonna

have play him I mean being that he's gonna be

a lot younger so I'm not really sure what direction

they can take this but I'll probably check it

out But I don't know if we actually need this.

I mean for the actiony stuff I pretty much got

it handled with Blacklist, so I don't know what

the reasoning would be to do this. So, yep, cutting

this one short. This one almost deserves its

own full blitz, but Michael Bay expected to direct

Transformers 5 and an animated Cybertron film

in the works. Yeah, so they want to roll out

a new movie and the animated film is gonna be

more or less a prequel to this whole movie universe

And Kiva Goldsmith will script Transformers 5

with Michael Bay directing and Mark Wahlberg

starring Yeah Not a fan I'm kind of ready to

see something new not continuously hitting the

same shovel in the hole. I mean, anyways, Andrew

Burr and Gabriel Ferrari, who are also currently

working on an animated Sabrina Teenage Witch

adaption, are writing an animated feature centered

on Cybertron and the origins of the Transformers.

I'm sorry, I don't need any more of this garbage.

I'm gonna have to pass. Thank you. Timer? And,

beginning again, Star Trek Beyond's release date

pushed back two weeks. Yeah, this movie is going

to be a train wreck, I have a feeling. They've

had multiple rewrites, they've had multiple directors

toss through the wringer. with through a shutdown

on production It's yeah, this is gonna be a train

wreck because it's supposed to open now in July

22nd But actually the move is more or less based

on IMAX schedule where they have to get the large

screen so that's kind of a minor thing, but I

Just I have high hopes for this film considering

how low my bars set now because of Into Darkness

So I am hoping this is a much better film in

itself. DC Entertainment Boss explains why they

keep movies and TV separate, unlike Marvel. They're

going against that whole it's all connected thing

that Marvel does, but it allows the greatest

possible amount of creative freedom for the talents

involved in making them pointing out that the

strategy is allowed for more shows like Gotham

Supergirl to have completely different tones.

They're more talent driven and allowing the showrunners

to come in and do what they want to do rather

than have to intertwine things. So it doesn't

make sense for DC to do so. I agree. I completely

agree. I love DC's television more than I do

Marvel's, so that's definitely up my alley. Moving

on. We have agents of shield season 3 new concept

art for Chloe Bennett's quake or Daisy sky quake

Yeah, they chopped off her hair they incorporated

the Symbol into her costume they changed the

gauntlets they just Gave her that almost black

widowish kind of look, but made her look more

like a badass I Don't know I I'm not too familiar

with the character, and I like Agents of S .H

.I .E .L .D., only because of Coulson and her

character for the most part, but that's because

they seem to have given them more ground to play

with after the Avengers movie came out. Yep,

that's about all I got on that. And rounding

out the blitz, we have Deadpool and Gambit will

both interact with current X -Men movie universes.

Yay! I'm not sure exactly how they're gonna go

about doing this, but it says Simon Kinberg confirms

that the solo character spinoffs don't exist

in a bubble, that there would be crossovers between

the films. The idea is that they've sort of reset

the timeline after Days of Future Past. In some

ways, it's not completely erased, certainly allowing

for some change to X1 through 3. Everything from

Days of Future Past forward now becomes canon,

so basically we can see Deadpool show up in any

of the new X -Men movies from now on. I could

be definitely behind that, because I think they

should make him the new staple of the universe

if Hugh Jackman's not back as Wolverine. And

that's the end of the Blitz, so we'll be back

after this. To interact with the show, you can

So last week we asked the question of, well,

what movies would you consider your favorite,

absolute favorite that you could stand to be

stranded on an island with and watch nothing

but those for the rest of your life? Only reason

I asked that was because I was asked that in

class and I had no idea honestly what to answer

for the top one movie Let alone adding more than

that It kind of makes it easier the more numbers

you add in there But like the less numbers you

added the harder it gets because then you have

to actually narrow it down So I kind of cheated

and changed it to the top five. So last week

I was trying prime says Wow, what five films

could I rewatch over and over again? These aren't

even my top five films, but ones in my collection

I feel I could watch over and over and over and

over in no particular order. And he lists Tron

Legacy, Back to the Future, Jurassic Park, Iron

Man, Smoky and the Bandit. And it's a good list.

And he says, you know, he'd be struggling to

find 20 films, you know, where top 25 would be

just that. So there's no ways could number them

one to 25. It gives me kudos for doing it previous

countdown lists. To tell you the truth, I don't

remember what I even chose for those because

it was recorded so long ago. I don't even know

what my... and I'm sure it's not that long ago,

although it probably is. My memory is not all

that great. My short term is even worse than

my long term, so that's partially why I can't

remember. They used to keep lists a lot. but

now I don't so much because I flip -flop so much.

Now, if I were to choose movies, I'm not really

sure. I know it's kind of a cop -out answer,

but I just, I don't even know. Like, for instance,

Scanner 51 says his number one movie would have

to be Batman Mask of the Phantasm. And then he

said his top five would be Phantasm, Under the

Red Hood, Jurassic World, Revenge of the Sith,

and Return of the Jedi, which all of these movies

that these guys have listed have been pretty

spot on with stuff that I would have chose myself.

That being said, I do enjoy Tribe Legacy. I do

enjoy Jurassic Park. I do enjoy Revenge of the

Sith. Return of the Jedi and Under the Red Hood

and Jurassic World, but I Wouldn't put them on

my list Funny thing is in My new partially that's

making this up on the fly partially. I'd already

had it written down I If I had to choose my top

five animated movies It would be mask of the

phantasm return of the Joker Transformers the

movie Dragon Ball Z resurrection of F only because

it's a new Dragon Ball Z. Plus you can just see

him do multiple forms and then Under the Red

Hood Now I know that it's not Top five animated

movies now if I were to do like, you know live

-action movies. I would probably do Star Trek

6 Iron Man Star Wars episode 6 almost at 7 because

I It's been in the news so much. Uh, the original

Batman movie? And, uh... Probably Tron Legacy.

And then if we were gonna do, like, retro movies,

I'd have to put Die Hard, Ferris Bueller, Back

to the Future, um, Lethal Weapon, and... Probably

Back to the Future 2, just because... Nope! Beverly

Hills Cop. Never mind. There we go. That's my

top five for like 80s films. If I had to choose

them overall though, I'd probably put Mask of

the Phantasm. I know this is just throwing you

through the ringer here. Star Trek 6. Die Hard.

Back to the Future. I used Ventura when nature

calls. Boom. My five movies. That's so much harder

to do when you're sitting there thinking about

it. I've been mulling over this for the last

week. That's why it's so difficult for me to

come up with this. Yeah, so I mean, it's kind

of interesting to see what people's lists have.

Of course, Back to the Future or Mask of the

Phantasm or some kind of a Jurassic movie is

generally in there, generally a superhero movie

of some kind. It's inevitable with the amount

out there. I like the lists that have come out

so far. So yeah, we'll be back with a quick break

and we'll talk about my favorite Nintendo or

Why am I flubbing so bad? When we come back,

I will talk about my favorite Nickelodeon shows.

We'll be back after this and now our feature

presentation And we're back so I saw this article

you could say on... I can't remember what website,

but... Anyways, it was on old Nickelodeon shows,

and now that we know that Nickelodeon is kind

of coming up with a new channel like Splat or

something like that, which... I don't think I

put that on the last show. I think it came out

after. Anyways, they're set to bring back classic

90s programming. The Splat Interesting to see

what they bring back. I'm hoping, and I'm really

hoping, that they kind of pull from their old

pool of a mixture of old programming, meaning,

yeah, I really enjoy their Ninja Turtles that

they're doing now. I don't like any of their

other animated stuff, their live action stuff,

other than Power Rangers. I don't like anything

that they've got going on now either because

it's not for me. I'm old. Being 29 now, it's

kind of funny because we started this network

when I was young. So yeah, a lot of these shows

just don't interest me that are out now. I would

like to see, you know, like Doug or I know Mike

hates it, but Ren and Stimpy, the old one, like

reruns of the stuff, not like new. Rocko's Modern

Life, Angry Beaver's Catdog. Wow, this brings

back so many memories. Yeah, because I remember

watching all of those. Sorry, I'm looking at

this list and kind of reminiscing of old shows.

They had one of my favorite live action shows,

and we covered some of these in Telecast, but

I really liked Hey Dude. It was kind of their

western show. I remember watching that a lot.

The Secret World of Alex Mack. The girl gets

toxic waste spilled on her and becomes like your

Capri Sun drink. That was a fun show to watch.

Salute Your Shorts was always really fun. Cap

on Iwana. Where they put the kids' pants at the

flag pole. Pretty fun. Didn't go on too long,

but it was still fun. Clarissa explains it all.

Canon and Kel... Sorry. More Dead Air. Yeah,

they had those shows. They had... I forgot they

had Animorphs. It was like a Hasbro property.

Mean it was based off science fiction books,

but still I forgot about that And that's currently

getting reruns on another channel, but I'm surprised

it made 26 episodes two seasons Sony produced

it too It's kids turn into animals kind of thing

like to transform into animals almost like what

Beast Machines did with Savage Noble and with

Megatron Yeah, that explains it. Why TV Nickelodeon?

Yep, yep, yep. That's definitely where that kind

of came along, and it's right around the time

Beast Machines came out, so that figures entirely.

I don't know if I'd watch that. It was bad. Are

You Afraid of the Dark? Definitely a fun show.

Didn't know it went on for four years, but that

was a fun show to watch. Of course they have

other Power Rangers stuff on there. Double Dare.

Man, I would love to see a DVD set of classic

Nintendo game shows, or hell, I'd love to see

Netflix come out with this stuff. I know Shout

Factory has the rights to a lot of Nickelodeon

stuff. I would like to see, even if there was

a Netflix of old Nickelodeon shows... Getting

all the shows that I mentioned above, or getting

Double Dare, Family Double Dare, you know, super

sloppy Double Dare mixed together. Sorry, I've

had a couple drinks before I started recording.

Again, What Would You Do, which is actually a

new show on, well it's not new, it's been around

for like six, seven years on ABC of What Would

You Do and... you know, practical situations.

I liked the game show by Mark Summers on Nickelodeon,

where they perform respective duties on Double

Dare and stuff. But they also did this in Universal

Studios in Florida, which I would have killed

to have been on the show at the time. I just,

the pie machine, the gag, like, just... Everything

in general. I really liked the... Oh, it's the

pie pod. Yeah, yeah. It was like something with

pies. It was still cool, though. I really love

this show. Nick Arcade. Such an epic show. Even

though, like, now it wouldn't mean anything to,

like, kids. They would be like, oh, this is crap.

With, you know, your halo and your ear. Metal

Gear Solid 5s and your Super Smash Bros. Yeah,

it's funny because they'd play like Asteroids

and Brainstorm and Star Defenders and just...

I mean they would use like Super Nintendo, Sega

Genesis, TurboGrafx, Neo Geo. Yeah, it's just

funny to me. Mikey's World and Pirates Cove and

yeah, just... Memories. Guts. That was such a

great show too. Legends of the Hidden Temple.

Loved it. Figure It Out. Another great show.

Man, I'm just looking back at this list. I'm

just remembering this stuff and looking at the

logo. It just brings back so many memories of

the days of old. Eureka's Castle. Yeah, just

so many shows Then of course we can't we can't

forget their some of their Kids shows that were

kind of good for teenagers in the sense. It was

like a Saturday Night Live for us and it What

yeah, they had like the Amanda show before she

went all walked out they had all that which was

the sketch comedy show where Keenan showed up

on for a number of years before he went on to

Saturday Night Live. Ace Ventura, former acquired

animated series. Wow, they get a lot of series

that they acquired. Tiny Toon Adventures, Star

Trek the animated series, Underdog, Garfield

and Friends. Bowinkle Beetlejuice. Oh, I remember

Beetlejuice Pinky in the brain Yeah, so This

station's definitely had a lot of a lot of love

in the past. It just I don't know where it's

went in the last ten years I Would just love

to see a return to like a lot not not really

a return I would like to see like I Think it's

a bit much to create a channel Per se to any

of this kind of stuff because it's very nostalgic

and people that are you know people the people

that are over 25 are probably gonna remember

most of the stuff I would say but if you're under

that you're probably not gonna know what half

this stuff is that I just mentioned in this episode

and I think I think that is a part of that I

I don't know if it'd be really worth it to them

to create a new channel I think that it would

be better off if they just and there's too many

episodes to do a TV series and they're on DVD

or anything and I really doubt anybody besides

us would actually buy it just because of how

dated it is but I would like to see it hit something

like Netflix so that you know we could watch

it if we wanted to and I know some of these shows

are actually on there and most of them you can

purchase through Shell Factory that are you know

available like Hey Dude and stuff like that or

That kind of show but anyways, I would like to

see that stuff hit Netflix. I would really like

to watch it I mean hell. I think Beakman's world

was on there at one point Probably wrong I know

I'm wrong but anyways yeah, I just I miss seeing

some of these shows I don't know how bad they

are because nostalgia glasses are one of those

like they're like Coke bottle glasses you just

don't know what you're looking at until you actually

look at it because I've had that effect with

some shows and I wish I would have never looked

back on but I think that some of these deserve

a revisit just to see what kind of stuff happened

I can't remember enough of it but so yeah Hope

you like the episode this week. Sorry. It's a

little bit shorter. Sorry. There's not a lot

of Stuff to do in the episode. I like I said,

I have some stuff going on And some stuff planned

I do have some hosts lined up so we should have

some fun with that They're newbies to the show.

So look forward to that in the coming weeks.

So until next time You can get hold of me on

Twitter at scp21 you can get a hold of the show

at alter geek My question to you this week would

be What Nickelodeon shows would you like to see

come back either revived or just be on Netflix

or I mean? Hell what what is your opinion of

like these old shows like do you think? It would

be beneficial to you know either have a set block

of time on the channels or have have like a nostalgia

channel where all these shows get syndicated

to or Would you just like to see them come to

Netflix in general so that we can catch up and

watch them all? Sound off in the episode comment

section. Until next time, get Altered Geeky with
