You're tuned in to Steve Megatron on Altered

Geek Unlimited Hello and welcome to Altered Geek

Unlimited episode 104 Yes, I know I can't remember

the episode names, but that's fine. We'll live.

I'm your host, Steve Megatron Phillips, and no

one is joining me this week. And unfortunately,

this is the second time I've recorded this episode.

The only reason I'm recording the second one

is because, unfortunately, the first copy of

it, quite frankly, was boring, it sucked, and

I would be ashamed of myself if I published that

mess of an episode. So... In essence, I'm recording

it again while I'm at work. Go figure. So, a

lot of stuff's happened. Force Friday, of course,

is the major one. And just kind of off the bat,

what are you guys looking forward to that you've

seen so far from Force Friday? I mean, I'm...

I'm pretty geeked about all the stuff they've

shown off. I mean the BB -8 rolling figure that

you can control with that. I think it's an app

on your phone, but it could be wrong. I'm not

quite sure what it is. But in any case, it looks

really cool and it rotates just like the movie

version that they showed in the trailer. If I

could afford the $150 price tag, I'd be all over

that stuff. But yeah, I mean I think it's really

cool. I I Really really am impressed with how

that works anyways aside from that they've released

images of Well, that's you know Let me let me

just say it this they've released images of the

new x -wing. They've had Kylo Ren's lightsaber

pop up They've had a couple of voice activated

toys that that have come out that have Kylo Ren's

voice in it. There's no modifier or anything.

It's his Brit voice and It sounds pretty cool.

I I'm holding back all reservations until I see

the movie. I'm Don't get me wrong. I'm a huge

Star Trek fan, but to see This cohesive continuity

and in the the real live jumping of years from

episode 6 to 7 Has me really excited for episode

seven. I'm really really looking forward to it

I'm hoping my wife will let me go around her

birthday because her birthday is the 18th of

December So I'm really pumped for that movie

and that's one that I'm gonna have to see an

IMAX I it's without a doubt going to be that

movie that you have to see So I'm really looking

forward to that aside from that Being that I'm

recording this on Friday rather than on the normal

Thursday night like I said the other episode

is terrible I'll probably just for S &G's I'll

probably slap it on the end of the episode as

like kind of a an outtake thing so like you can

listen to it if you want to but you're not Obligated

to listen to it just because I realize it's not

very good So yeah Batman Arkham Knight the PC

patch is now available for download um that has

me really uh intrigued because i have been wanting

to play Arkham Knight so bad i realize it's out

on you know it's been out on xbox and playstation

and everybody's played it everybody's beat it

i've watched the story gameplay um but this gives

me incentive for when the game of the year edition

comes out i'll at least be able to get the game

So the patch, what it utilizes here is a reduced

frame rate hitch, optimization for system memory

and VRAM usage, improved performance on all GPUs,

of course you gotta have the latest drivers,

more comprehensive in -game settings, fixed low

-res texture bugs, fixed hitches when running

on mechanical hard drives, such as a standard

hard drive, not a SD solid state. Also, they're

working on the following for the future patch

of adding support for SLI and Crossfire, adding

support for the latest DLC and Season Pass content,

which I'm kind of surprised that's not built

in already, all of this stuff, considering I

know that it's a port from the console version,

but it's still kind of ridiculous that we're

at this stage in the game and it's not fully

polished. Do you think you would have had more

than one team working on aspects of it and putting

it together into one piece? That being said,

they're adding support for additional updates

such as photo mode, continuing improvements and

bug fixes for Windows 7, specific memory issues

that occur on configurations with 8GB of system

RAM and some NVIDIA GPUs during extended gameplay.

Which, why it would be having issues on 8GB of

system RAM is ridiculous. I have 8GB in my system

and I think that... You I mean four gigs is kind

of the minimum you should have anymore and every

year it changes I mean the minimum does but if

you really want to have like the actual middle

of the ground Like the low end is four gigs the

the middle of the ground I would say is like

eight because that's kind of the standard if

you're playing a first -person game or Anything

like that to get it to run smoothly I would probably

like at least go to 12 or 16 My computer supports

up to 32, so eventually when I can afford to,

I'm going to phase out all those old memory sticks

and get either multiple 8 gig pieces or 4 gig

pieces. I can hold 4 slots on my computer. That

aside, they've added continued improvements for

Windows 10 specific issues on systems with some

AMD GPUs, which I don't have AMD, so I don't

have to worry about it. Since this patch will

is available to those who already own the game

however others planning to play the game on PC

will have to wait till fall 2015 In order to

get this and the game itself Which again ridiculous,

but I guess we should be happy that we're even

getting it at all So yeah Well since I've already

on the PC and of everything and I'm talking about

it Being that I've I've got a pretty bare -bones

system and when I say bare -bones, I mean It's

not It used to have like a floppy drive on it

before my last upgrade it used to have all kinds

of other shit in it I bought a 74 and one 3 .5

inch internal flash memory or media card reader

writer with USB port So I can do the flash memory

stuff. I also bought myself a new G GeForce GT

722 gigabyte DDR3 DVI HDMI VGA graphics card

because of, well, I'm playing Battlefield and

it keeps crashing on my 640 megabyte graphics

card, this GeForce. So anyhow, on the agenda,

as far as some of the stuff's concerned, we have,

well, for instance, Chris Evans, there was a

recent interview with him while he was doing

the movie before we go. And they asked him about

the fact that his contract only extends through

Avengers Infinity War Part 1 and 2. But he says

that he's more than willing to extend his stay.

Which I think is awesome if they figure out how

to do it. Because I don't know how much longer

Reverend Denny Jr. is going to want to do it.

So it might be good to have Cap be the staple

for a while. Until they figure out who's next.

Because I mean that might be the logical way

to keep Marvel going Because you'll have this

grounded character with a moral base But anyways

he says listen if Marvel wants me they got me

I've never had such a relationship where you

have such I mean look at my resume I've used

it. I'm used to being on set being like ah this

movie is going to be terrible Marvel just can't

stop making great movies. They do it in their

sleep It's wonderful directors and producers

and actors and scripts, and it's like a playground

as an actor which is Great to hear him say plus

the the other part that's actually in part two

of the episode I talk about the whole Feige thing

with the Marvel committee kind of jumping in

in in kind of Trying to put their greasy hands

in the movie universe and have no idea what the

hell they're doing So I'm glad that Feige is

kind of he's got this universe where the not

only the actors are happy But all the people

involved are happy Because they're pumping out

these great movies which in of itself is remarkable

because you usually hear about a lot of horror

stories but it could be all the stuff we've heard

to date of the horror stories could have been

because of that committee because everything

you hear with Feige involved is usually almost

always positive because I mean I can't really

even recall anything that's negative about him.

So that's kind of cool, that whole thing. Yeah,

so the first Friday they got all that stuff out.

They got all the clothing line. They got some

of the figures, the 12 inch. They got the Adat,

which is, you know, episode seven. They've got

the new TIE fighters with the black and the red

on them. You know, the Kylo Ren stuff. There's

a lot of clothes that came out for it. You know,

like you got the Mr. Potato Head Kylo Ren. The

Stormtrooper mask, which is actually kind of

cool. You get the, of course, the BB -8. A lot

of first order Stormtrooper stuff. They got Black

Series toys. Pretty much, it's a good time to

be a Star Wars fan, as far as that. I know I'm

jumping a little bit. It's fine. I have things

pulled up in a certain order in my queue, per

se. So I was kind of scavenging yesterday and

I found this video of Goku vs Street Fighter

2 and Can't remember if I mentioned this in part

two or not. But anyways, I watch this thing and

this is actually really good Sorry about that

Yeah, I'm at work. So the phone of course rings,

but anyways, the Street Fighter thing is actually

kind of cool because he within this short I Don't

know how long it is. I think it's like a five

minute It's yeah, it's under a five minute video

the guy's name is game bill studio on YouTube

and He runs through the entire roster of Street

Fighter decimating them with Goku and then the

later it gets he uses KO Ken and then he finally

uses the Super Saiyan and then there's a twist

at the end. It's it's quite funny So yeah, I'd

recommend checking that out. It's it's pretty

good So yeah Just More or less wanted to touch

on all that stuff. There's Like I said, there's

going to be the part two episode on the website

Or on the end of this post or whatever episode,

you know what the hell I'm trying to say I Definitely

want to try and gather a live show. I think it'd

be fun. I know I've reiterated this numerous

times in this episode So there's that. Something

else cool I saw that I think is kind of neat.

I like it when they do these crossover things,

like these kind of fusions of sorts, where they're

mixing characters together or coming up with

something interesting, kind of like, well, for

instance, this instance, I mean, I've seen DC

and Marvel mixed together, like Captain America

and Batman mixed, well. There's a Dragon Ball

Z superhero fusion art series. Geek Tyrant posted

it earlier today, but I've seen it earlier in

the week. But anyways, he created a Dragon Ball

Z mashup that he calls Fusions. It has Batman,

Robin, Wolverine, Spider -Man, and Conan reimagining

the world of Dragon Ball Z. so Batman is essentially

he's got like a blue of the mutant Roshi garb

that goes over kind of like the red one that

Goku wears but it's like a vested one and he's

still got his bat gauntlets and he's got like

the bat suit basically but Over his shoulders.

He has and where his cape is he's got like piccolo's

type setup, and it's all black instead of being

white So it's kind of neat then they have Robin

and he's got like the the javelin of Goku and

Goku's kind of clothing and then almost like

a Majin Buu Cape on him kind of neat Wolverine's

got an all gold Roshi uniform with blue blue

gloves, blue undershirt, and blue shoes, and

it's Wolverine. So it's kind of neat. Spider

-Man's got another form of like almost Namekian

or mixed with like Tien's type of setup for Spider

-Man, but he's in an all red suit, and then he's

got the blue over top. And then Conan looks like

Brawly. Basically, that's about it. So yeah,

it's kind of neat. I always like watching these

kind of imaginative, creative things that people

come up with. I find it very interesting and

I really like, for somebody that doesn't like

change or doesn't like things that kind of go

on, I kind of, I like fan concepts. Not necessarily

would want to see them in implementation, but

I love the designs and the things that people

come up with. kind of like YouTube videos and

whatnot. I really love watching a lot of those

different series and I reiterate that a lot.

But I mean, it's just stuff I like to kind of

geek out about. So what are some things you guys

like to geek out about? Like are there any YouTube

series or any kind of stuff like that that you

think is interesting to you or that you find

certain creative things to be? Really really

cool that people come up with. I mean just sound

off in the episode, so I'm gonna close this out

so until next time and next episode get altered

geek geeky with the altered geeks You were tuned

in to Steve Megatron on altered geek unlimited

Welcome to altered geek unlimited. Yeah, I can't

remember the name from week to week my bad I'm

your host Steve Megatron Phillips and joining

me is no one this week Yeah, no one was available

either out of town or sick or yeah, so it's just

me I will be saying I'm going to start doing

some call -in shows in the future if people are

interested in that kind of thing I will have

that coming So just keep posted. I'll keep it

posted on the social media for either my Twitter

at scp21 or altered geek So yeah, my week has

been pretty eventful been playing battlefield

4 been doing the superhero class and then I kind

of came up with this design of Like dog tags

type stuff graphically for like my my little

fake studio company that I use for when I do

school projects or fan dubs and stuff and then

there's also the GCR one that I made and one

for Altered Geek and I was kind of making them

because I was playing Battlefield the other night

and I really liked the design so I was trying

to replicate it and then I kind of really liked

it so In the process I was sitting there making

them and then while doing the Smithsonian's edx

org superhero course I Got this idea that I can

make a comic book cover because I'm Talented

as far as graphic design, but not like in the

comic drawing artistry I'm sure it'd be it would

be nice if I can learn how It's one of those

things that unless I have somebody like Physically

show me how to do it or like, you know kind of

guide me through it while I'm doing it. I Can't

pick it up. It's it's hard for me to grasp it

as weird as it sounds like I have a hard time

wrapping my head around it. It's it's I'm making

it out more complicated than it has to be in

my head. And so it's I can't fathom it Yeah getting

pretty deep here in the first two minutes of

the show That being said A ton of awesome stuff's

kind of come up over the last week. Of course

Force Friday is today, so I look forward to finding

out all of the awesome things that are coming

in that. What are you guys looking forward to

most that you've seen fly by the web today or

yesterday? For me so far, because I'm recording

this the night before, I really like that BB8

droid that's it's like 150 bucks and you can

kind of control it and whatever and then it does

exactly like the movie one where the head rotates

and the ball moves and it can roll around I thought

that was really awesome if it weren't for the

fact it's $150 I'd have to have it because that

is such an awesome design I really like it So

kind of jumping in a little bit of the superhero

thing again. I'm doing it as a second time this

time. I'm already certified in it, but I'm a

community teachers assistant basically this time.

So I'm helping out other people that are having

a hard time with it and they changed a few things.

They made a creative track which is what the

first class was and then a history track where

you write papers every week. So I didn't want

to do that again and I wanted to continue the

characters I'd created the first time. So I started

doing this comic thing, and I don't know, if

you guys want to see it, I can always put it

in the episode posts, like some of the stuff

that I've got, and the assignment itself, and

what not, and kind of keep you posted week to

week, if that's something that sounds interesting

to you guys. I will say that it's definitely

a fun class to take, and you learn quite a bit

about comics, so there is that. A lot of fan

support, they're doing fan, basically, pure editing,

pure feedback this time, which is different.

Unfortunately, there's some bad eggs in there

where they just put like DD or ASDF or, you know,

there's no real response to anything. So you

can tell they just don't care. So it's like,

why bother to do the class then if you're not

going to put forth the effort? But yeah, if you

guys want to see that. So. Like I said before,

there's a couple things I want to have a discussion

on that I'm going to save until there's more

people on the show. One of them being, we were

kind of floating around social media today, myself,

Dan and Tim Costello, JT from Saskatoon, Ryan

from Positively Nerdy, And we were kind of thrown

around the thing because I was saying that I

feel like in 2020 and This is a far -fetched

throw out there that there's gonna be a burst

of the superhero bubble Because we're gonna start

getting into more of the obscure characters by

then will be I mean some of the mainstream ones

like you know the flash and Green Lantern will

be coming out the later half of the decade, but

That pardon me my allergies are flared up. So

I'm sorry that that's coming on the show. I just

I If I take a benadryl pass out Being it's this

late so Yeah, again, I apologize for that but

in the meantime while I'm Talking about this

it's Kind of been on my mind off and on and I've

kind of wanted to stir the pot with it a little

bit And I'm kind of wondering what you guys think

about it as far as the the bubble Being ready

to burst per se There was an article by Steven

Spielberg earlier this week that said That he

believes that the superhero genre is gonna go

the way of the Western in that it's gonna be

Burned out because they're gonna do it for so

long Then it's gonna fade away for a while and

then kind of make a resurgence later on although

westerns have not made a resurgence whatsoever

in modern day because everything that's tried

like the Lone Ranger and Cowboys and aliens it's

kind of what? Because nobody really cares. I

don't know if it's because the story or if it's

you know bad production values are too long or

what but Yeah, I I'm kind of of that understanding

that I think that and I'm making this wild prediction

and they were kind of nailing me with a little

bit of they're saying like Enjoy it while it

lasts and you know don't Try and predict the

fatigue of it more or less Because it's a good

thing and while I agree it is really good thing

and 80 % of the stuff that they're putting out

right now is awesome There's there's no No doubt

about it in my mind. I Just I get this feeling

like I'm almost sick of it if you kind of get

what I'm saying like there's too much of it and

I really love the superhero stuff. I really do

but I don't want to see 50 shows of mine TV or

50 movies of them every year Well, and it's great.

They're getting more obscure characters out there.

They're doing Ant -Man. They're getting, you

know, Dr. Strange. They're getting Black Panther

and all these are the characters like into the

mainstream that people wouldn't normally think

about. The only issue I have is now that, and

this was the other news that came out, Kevin

Feige was complaining to the CEO of Disney, which

of course owns Marvel, that, you know, these

this creative... more or less they have this

creative committee of sorts, Marvel does. And

these guys are in charge of the comics, they're

in charge of the television group, they're in

charge of all the other aspects of Marvel. Marvel's

got its own internal civil war in the sense that...

Feige kind of more or less has been reporting

to the Disney chief rather than the CEO of Marvel

and Basically, that's his new boss. He doesn't

have to report to He doesn't have to report to

Marvel or per se he's he's he's the head like

the actual head of the the film universe which

I think is smart because he actually knows how

to take care of it and if you have these guys

meddling in the story that don't really belong

there because they've more or less destroyed

the stuff so far. I mean, the television stuff,

yeah, Daredevil's doing great. I'm not a fan

of it. I know some people are and that was part

of our argument earlier about the whole superhero

fatigue. I just don't care about Daredevil as

a character. It's not that I don't think that

the show is good because the production value

is spectacular for a superhero show and being

on Netflix for that It puts it a grade above

like the the grit and realism of Arrow CW has

this certain look to it. So I mean it kind of

Presses the bar. It's kind of a cross between

that and like Gotham But Gotham doesn't even

have the production value that it should it there's

plenty of like reused green screen crap. I'm

not saying that Daredevil doesn't have it, but

it's not very evident. In Agents of Shield, you

can just tell it's low on budget all the way

around, and it's supposed to be like this tent

pole leading up to the films. However, with this

split, you're probably never gonna see any of

these guys actually hit the main screen because

it's gonna be actually two completely different

universes in that sense. Even though they've

kind of predicted one way or the other off and

on And they're about to start like the the Jessica

Jones and all and all the little spin -offs and

whatnot. So I mean I'm I'm glad that Feige is

getting his way and kind of getting to continue

spearheading because I think honestly that's

the only reason some of these movies have got

the shot that they have or some of these characters

and maybe we'll actually see some evening out

of more screen time for Hawkeye, The Hulk, Black

Widow, and less of the heavy hitters as their

contracts have expired. And then speaking of

The Hulk, they also more or less cut him from

Civil War for whatever reason. They're saving

him, they said, for the future Avengers movies.

So there's that too. Sorry I'm rambling a little

bit. It's been a weird week overall and yesterday

also my son I was getting ready for bed and he

jumped from the floor like laying flat on the

floor and out of nowhere is like doing this weird

Jackie Chan shit and bounces up and smacks me

in the eyeball. With his forehead. So my eye

socket is black and blue Which is hilarious to

some and it was it was so swollen after he did

it I couldn't see out of my eye I had to put

an ice pack on it and it's fine now, but it still

hurts like a bitch So that's why I'm a little

scatterbrained still is because it's just it

was it was really strange to me how that whole

thing transpired and I ended up with more pain

than the kid, which is good, but still, it sucks.

Also this week, Google changed their logo, which

a couple weeks back, they kind of more or less

split their company up and made Google just their

internet and their web interface. They've got

a company that's over Google now, which is like

ABC. Alphabet or something like that. It's something

really strange. Anyway, they took the Google

logo They kept the colors and they gave it this

kind of like more of a new Kind of a plainish

look and then they gave it like this goofy Weird

I can't it's like a little It's it's a G but

it's like multicolored With the colors of the

word Google, but it's it's just different And

they've got other it'll be in the art Show notes

anyway, but there's this videos as Google evolved

and it shows the original logo and then it gets

more plain and more plain more streamlined and

Goes to where it is now. It's it's the same basic

shape. It's just New flat font basically, so

it's pretty cool. I mean it's not anything spectacular,

but it's a re -envisioning of the logo. Nothing

I don't do from month to month. But yeah, that's

right, it is alphabet. Google is a subsidiary

of Alphabet, which is their parent company now,

which I still find that strange. On the casting

often, but they cast Tony Todd as Professor zoom

in season 2 of the flash which I think is actually

kind of cool You may remember him if you're not

familiar with him as the Guy in charge of the

morgue in the final destination movies all of

them So he had to be a pretty strong villain

here in the flash Also, in that same universe,

they revealed today Arrow's Diggle's costume.

It's a leather jacket with a magneto helmet.

The first thing I saw when it was posted was

somebody posted it and I put it on the web when

I retweeted it saying Mag Diggle. I can't even

say it right because my nose is stuffed up. Like

Magneto, Diggle, his helmet looks just like it.

It's not purple. It's got the black, blackish

gray and like kind of a steel look to it. But

it's so definitely Magneto. And then the internet

is going around calling it that pretty much now.

I find it humorous that they're calling it the

Magneto helmet. So that'll be kind of cool. In

addition, they've also renamed Starling City

to Star City, and there's a new promo image of

Green Arrow in front of the backdrop, and then

there's also an image saying Brightest Day and

Darkest Night, and it's something like a vacation

spot for Coast City. Green Lantern, so I'm wondering

if they're gonna actually bring Green Lantern

in this film, which would be kind of cool I I

like Green Lantern. I think that I would like

to see him on TV rather than in film at this

point Just because I think it could do More for

him to be more grounded Kind of like arrow in

the flash But that's just me so on some other

side notes we have there's a teaser video for

Gotham season 2 with rise of the villains and

then they show various villains and then they

got that kid that they've coined the Joker where

he's doing the cackle and some of the weird jumping

around and stuff kind of reminiscent of the Joker

kind of they basically made him the Joker already

and then Nigma is kind of arguing with himself

and a lot of lot of villain play So it should

be interesting this season. Speaking of which,

I also got my Season 1 Blu -ray set from Warner

Bros. DC, so I'll have that review out shortly,

right around the time of the release. So look

for that. I'll probably also do an audio companion

to it, or a video companion, more than likely

probably a YouTube video, because I think it'll

lend better to the... portrayal of the the set

but also I'll include that video on the audio

podcast episode next week so stay tuned in other

news there's a Mega Man movie in development

which is new as well I think that that'll be

kind of cool I think that bringing some of these

older animated series to the Frontline will actually

I Don't know be nicer because I'm kind of sick

of seeing a lot of the same stuff that they've

brought up I Would like to see this That was

the other thing I I don't I have Technically

I probably shouldn't record this episode and

I probably should just skip to next week, but

because I've already started It's gonna be a

short episode anyway, so I'm sorry for putting

you through pain. The Mega Man movie, like I

said, is now in development. Fox. How the hell

did Fox get this? But Fox has it. It says...

They've parten shernan entertainment in Fox have

partnered up to bring Mega Man to a movie theater

near you Although the details are scarce at the

moment all we know is that Pernan shernan is

producing the movie alongside David Reddy and

Michael Finfer the duo behind the Planet of the

Apes movies That will oversee the movie It's

gonna follow the same basic thing It's planned

for production in 2017 the same year Mega Man

turns 30 If done, right This could be really

good. I just hope it doesn't turn into another

Mario Brothers That would be extremely bad But

you never know it could be good as long as they

don't Michael Bay it up. We should be fine So

as I was stating before I straight going off

a weird tangent I That's another thing I want

to talk about when the other guys are back is

all these sequels, prequels, franchises, and

you know, trilogies or more. Do you guys think

that they've kind of made too many of those?

Like, I personally don't like the fact that everything

has to be a franchise now. I would much prefer

if they did like, if they're gonna do more than

one, do a trilogy and then end it and stop doing

all these franchises because There comes a point

where you just have to stop it's Maybe I'm just

being negative on the whole film industry, but

I think that At this point. I'd rather see well

-budgeted TV shows and less franchises in movie

form Because then you could have the characters

longer if they're in a TV show whereas if they're

in a movie It kind of it takes a lot longer to

produce for one and then two I just, I don't

like the whole idea of doing the franchise thing.

Marvel's done it, yeah, they've had great success

with it, but that doesn't necessarily mean that

every franchise should do it. You know, Transformers

should not do it. G .I. Joe should not do it.

DC, I can kind of see them doing it for a little

bit, but again, I don't want to see it go on

forever. So I mean, I really don't like the whole

concept of doing everything in a franchise. and

I have a feeling that Mega Man is going to try

and do the same thing when it comes out, and

I hope not. I like the franchise idea, but I

wish that it would stick with television for

that. I mean, I'll flesh it out more when there's

more discussion, obviously, when the other guys

are back, and depending on what you guys say

in the comments, just because I'm curious about

it, but I don't like it overall. I think I'm

going to take a quick little break right here,

come back with the comments, and end the show

until next week. Hopefully there will be some

other stuff that we can talk about that's not

as vague and quickly run through. I do, like

I said, have some ideas of those show concepts.

I just got to wait for the other guys to come

back. Unfortunately, Dodd was sick, Powers is

out of town, and Blind Sugar is recording another

podcast. Out of all the mics, I have none. So

with that, I'm going to take a quick break. You

can visit the episode post on geekcastradio .com

or alteredgeek .com. You can get all of us on

Twitter at alteredgeek. Look for us every week

on geekcastradio .com of course, Stitcher Smart

Radio, iTunes, Blog Talk Radio, and alteredgeek

.com. And now, back to the show. And we're back.

Well, with that, yeah, the comments. So last

week, Brad Lincoln says, I'm not with you guys

and with the Nintendo TV shows and movies. I

can see Metroid, that could work. Besides that,

not really. Nintendo has always been about the

gameplay. Their stories are minimal at best,

rescuing Princess from the castle and the like.

How do you make that into a movie and not be

bad? Metal Gear Solid is barely a game anymore

and more of a movie you occasionally get to play,

so that would be - my vote and then king of cons

says agree with you in regard to mario but zelda

has had some kick -ass stories of the years that

could be a fantastic fantasy movie if done right

animation may be a better option though with

that being said i can totally agree i can see

metroid i can see zelda i'm by no means saying

donkey kong or mario should exist again other

than outside of game because it's literally just

side -scroller that'd be like making another

well even then Sonic I think holds up better

as far as animation than this does I think a

Metal Gear Solid movie would be kind of cool

to see I myself have not played any of the games

little hypocritical there to say that I think

it should be a movie but I've seen enough of

the clips floating around or the trailers or

just stuff from it and the memes and whatnot.

Hell, I used the phone call thing on the contact

information in the middle of the show. I'm aware

of everything that's involved with it. I would

like to see it as a movie, a trilogy or something

like that. Not necessarily having to take from

the games, but whatever. I would be fine either

way. That being said, I think, and I'm not gonna

bring, I mean I'm bringing it up, but there's

a thing related to gaming floating around that

it's by this redonkulous Brianna Wu who's changing

Wikipedia in terms of Samus trying to say that

Samus is a she -male, basically. And then saying

that she's right for whatever reason. I have

no idea why this is, why she's such a important

person, or thinks she is, and thinks that she's

an author and thinks that all this. I've been

reading up on it all day because I find it hilarious,

but especially when Samus has been referred to

as a female the entire time uh and she acts like

in order to back her up one way or the other

and if nintendo doesn't say anything then she's

right which why nintendo would even dignify her

with a response is beyond me so i i don't know

i i just find it hilarious watching this entire

thing unfold uh if you want to know more about

it like there's you know she wrote an article

about Samus being transgender or something on

marysue .com and whatnot, but then there's There's

all kinds of back -and -forth shit for it so

if you're really interested you can you can check

it out, but I I think it's horseshit why why

this is even an issue for one and two Samus has

always been female. I could see like if there

was no connotation on preference of Sexual orientation,

you know as far as whether she likes girls or

boys or whatever But like I just I don't see

why this is such a matter that it the shit that

comes in into digital media and the mainstream

now is just borderline obnoxious because people

are trying to get heard and Trying to make a

name for themselves through illegitimate and

unauthorized comments that Like this trying to

say that this is fact because Nintendo doesn't

want to actually know that you know Doesn't want

to Say anything one way or the other to rebut

what she's saying because she's not actually

important But she thinks she's important So that's

why this is hilarious to me that somebody feels

the need to put their fanfiction in as legit

When there's no source from the original creator

One way or the other besides the fact that in

the content it states that she's female so I

I don't know it's Stupid shit like this. I I

don't have a problem with the diversity or anything.

I just this is just This is really reaching out

there That being said Got to learn quite a bit

over the last week or so about plumbing with

my house we installed a new we had our tile and

our tub and our floor redone it's kind of it's

completely brand new it was the original stuff

from the 70s when the house was built and it

was molding out it was getting nasty and they

put the tile on drywall which is a big no -no

supposed to put it on like green board or cement

board And so when the contractor came in, he

put it on cement board and it, it looks really

nice. It's, it's super nice. Uh, but we tore

out the old vanity and countertop and everything

else. And in the process had to figure out because

we got, went from a 36 inch vanity to a 48 inch,

uh, how to move the piping over without having

to cut into the wall. And so it was a tremendous

like week long endeavor to figure that out. Plus,

uh, the instructions were very vague and putting

the new sink together because it was like a million

pieces. Not the vanity itself because it was

all one chunk and the countertop was one chunk

But then there is the the sink like the faucet

and and everything related to that of how it

connects into the piping and everything so that

was a Issue too because it kept leaking so I

get to learn quite a bit about plumbing over

the last week So that was quite quite interesting

to try and figure out I'll tell you what owning

a house you get to learn the things that you

never thought that you'd need but It comes in

handy to know. Also, be sure if you want to check

out anything else I'm doing right now, you can

check out All Things Transformers, version 3

.0, episode 51, which is technically episode

1 for the 3 .0, but I'm not restarting the numbering.

It's just I started the show over more or less

so that I can talk Transformers again. There

also will be And I kind of mentioned this off

air to Dodd we're gonna do an episode zero kind

of Telling the idea and the concept I'm going

to start a Dragon Ball Z review show called the

cyber Dragon Ball and each episode rather than

covering X amount of episodes because a lot of

it's just Or you know stuff like that, so we're

gonna cover sagas Go that route and then after

the sagas we're gonna go through the movie verse

and then So on so it'll make it a lot shorter

In that regard rather than trying to do five

episodes at a time or or whatnot review each

episode we're gonna do it by saga because I think

that'll be a lot easier to sit down and and we

can kind of Watch one whole section of the show

basically it's gonna be in the vein of how from

the command center kind of did things with Covering

an entire version of the Power Rangers in one

setting. Zeo, Turbo, what not. Anyways, it will

be Saiyan Saga, Vegeta Saga, Namek Saga, Ginyu

Force, Frieza, etc etc. I'm kind of excited about

it because I really love Dragon Ball Z and it's

my favorite fighter. So yeah, that's what I'm

going to do with that. So yeah, sorry it was

kind of a mediocre show this week. Sorry, I can't

speak English because my allergies are acting

up and Yeah, thanks for tuning in if you guys

have any questions comment suggestions If you

guys would be interested in a live show for next

week with the calling ability Let me know in

the comments section and maybe we'll set that

up and then we can have actual on -air I don't

know why thinking is such a hard thing right

now when I have the stuff written in front of

me. If you guys want to have actual interaction

with the show and maybe bring a topic and then

we can discuss it live on the air, that would

be really cool too. Not sure what platform, because

we have two different ways of doing this, besides

Skype. So, well, three if you count Skype. So,

I mean, if you guys are interested in that, just

let me know in the comments, and we'll set that

up, because I think it would be really fun to

do a live call -in show. It'd be something a

little bit different for us, because we've never

done that here on the network. And I really want

to hear what you guys have to say, especially

with the Star Wars stuff that's coming out, as

far as like... all the merchandise as far as

the superhero fatigue or just whatever topic

you guys want to bring. I really think that that

would be really fun and something different and

I really want to hear from you guys. So go ahead

and leave the feedback at geekcastradio .com.
