for the show, Optimus Solo! As he said, I'm your

host Optimus Solo and I'd like to say hello and

welcome to the 22nd episode of the Telecast brought

to you by the Geekcast Radio Network. Today we

continue our kids sitcom block with probably

the most famous kids sitcom of all time. So I

have two co -hosts with us to talk about this

show. First we have TFG1 Mike, hello. Hello.

And we also have JT from Saskatoon, hello. Hello,

it's good to be back. Exactly, it's been a while.

Yeah, and today the three of us will be talking

about That's right folks we're talking about

save by the bell and before we get too far into

our discussion some quick background information

on the show it debuted in 1989 and ran until

93 on NBC It was five seasons, even though Wiki

claims that it was four seasons, and there was

86 episodes. And for those of you that don't

know, first of all, punch yourself in the face,

but second of all, Saved by the Bell is a spin

-off of last episode's topic, Good Morning Miss

Bliss, in which we follow the lives of six high

school students as they roam the halls of Bayside

High. Just this time we're in California instead

of Indiana. So JT let's start with you without

getting into any like specific episodes or like

details about the show Like when do you remember

watching saved by the bell as a youngster and

what are your general memories? I remember I

was you know, like eight or nine years old when

I first discovered the show and I don't think

anyone can say Anything except what I say is

like the first time you hear the show the first

thing you always remember is the theme song So

it's not like one of the most you know notable

catchy theme songs of all time and I just enjoyed

you know back in the day when sitcoms were you

know actually funny and they looked like you

know plays on camera they just have this certain

texture to them I just loved watching the show

A because of Zack and C because of Kelly which

were you know everyone else was pretty much just

like yeah hey hey Slater hey Screech He said

A and C. Exactly. But yeah, no, I just love the

show because it was goofy, it was fun, and it

was entertaining. And that's really all that

I ask of my TV. Yes. How about you, Mike? When

do you remember watching this? I remember catching

up with this. I think it was, I don't know, somewhere

around 90. And just absolutely loving it. It's

a great show. The theme song, which we'll get

into later, is just one of the classic themes

of all time. The characters all have very different

characterizations, yet they're all friends. But

it's one of those things where you wouldn't think

that they would all be friends, because technically

Screech is the dork, Zack is the schemer, Slater

is the jock. I don't know what Jesse and Kelly...

Well, yeah, she's kind of... Yeah, you know and

and then you have building on top of it. I mean

and And I'm yeah, just it was just so cool and

I love the progression I know you don't want

to get too far into details, but I do have to

say this I love the progression of the show throughout

saved classic and into college years. I just

do yeah shows do that This is one of those shows

that when it was when it was over Nobody wanted

it to be over Like I remember watching it when

it was first airing and I remember them getting

to the last episode or whatever and being like

wait a second No, like we got to keep this going.

Like can we follow them somewhere? Can we follow

them to college? Can we do something and then

they did it and it was like yes Well, yeah, that's

me this that's kind of the great thing about

the show is because you become the characters

You follow them through their lives as they grow

up like that which is another element of the

show There was so much fun is you grew with them

kind of well I don't think there's any better

example in our generation of a set of kids growing

up on TV You know in front of all of us as far

as going from when they're like, you know preteens

almost to When they're college age people and

beyond I mean, they definitely grew up on the

screen On a different level, on a non -kids show

level, I would argue that Beverly Hills 90210

was like that, but just staying in the kids level

of this type of programming, yeah, I would agree

with you. Yeah. Well, I mean, yeah, just going

from a young age to an older age is kind of...

And this is one of those shows that's like...

It's admittedly cheesy, and nobody denies its

cheesiness at times, but that's kind of what

makes it good, too. Mean they don't ever take

themselves too serious I mean yes They have some

serious content and some serious episodes and

issues they deal with but it's the it's the carefree

Fun humor cheesiness that really sells this show

I think and the fact like you said that there's

characters that everybody can find one that they

can relate to in some way It's also for me. It's

what I wanted high school to be Yeah, I mean

this is you know Everybody always talks about,

and I'm not taking away from anyone's high school

stories of that they hated high school. It sucked

for them through high school. It sucked for everybody

through high school. But the way that this was

portrayed, this is what you wanted high school

to be. This is what junior high was for me, actually.

And I say that in a weird way, I guess, because

obviously they're high school and I'm talking

about junior high. I don't want to sound arrogant,

but I was almost like Zach in junior high. I

was not in high school at all. I was not even...

I wanted nothing to do with high school. I hated

high school. But junior high, I knew all the

teachers because my dad taught in the high school.

And so I could get away with a lot of stuff.

And I definitely pushed the issue and did all

kinds of things that I shouldn't have done and

got away with in the way that Zach has always

these schemes that he's going with. So junior

high, I can relate this to a lot more high school.

Did you have blonde hair back then? Not quite,

but close enough. And that awesome array of sweaters.

But I mean, high school, yeah, high school is

definitely different. I wish high school would

have been a little bit more like this, but everyone

takes themselves too serious in high school.

Yeah, because this didn't really color my high

school so much as it enhanced it, because I was

always thinking high school was going to be more

like Archie comics than anything. But no, it

was such a good show. I mean, but for like I

said, I said texture before, and it's just this

thing had a certain style coming out of the late

80s, early 90s that a lot of really intense colors

were used for a lot of things like especially

the max which we'll get into so yeah there's

always been two types of high school stories

in television and film there's been this type

or there's been the type of where it's either

really dark my so -called life yeah that's well

that's that's more teen angst than anything else

but I mean like there's really hills Right, but

I mean even that, that is something to where

I see that as something I would have wanted been

a part of. I mean, what I'm saying is there's

either, you know, bright, happy, go lucky that

tackles serious issues every now and then like

this show, or there's just those shows like Kevin's

In My So -Called Life where it's just, it's so

total teen angst or so just... A dark way of

portraying high school and I prefer the way that

it was done here where it kind of blended the

two Yeah, high school is probably it's more realistic

to the whole angst away in the dark way Well,

yeah, but this is what we prefer. Yeah, even

though my life is great. So I don't take anything

away from it But uh, I think we should get into

you may not want to go ahead. Sorry I was gonna

say we may not want to fully accept real buddy

so we like safe by the bell because it just coats

everything with a lot of sugar that's true a

lot of a lot of bright sugar and best analogy

i could come up with yeah yeah um but we got

a lot of characters to get into so i want to

get into the who's who a little bit and we're

going to kind of separate this into some different

groups as as we talk about them obviously we

should start with the main cast though um you

know zach kelly lisa screech AC and and Jesse

we're gonna leave building out of this one for

now But as far as those main six students Mike,

do you have a favorite or a least favorite? I

Liked Screech at first but He eventually just

turned into like as he got older He just turned

into my least favorite character out of all of

them I liked Jesse and Kelly the best out of

the girls. I did like Lisa as well. I kind of

wish she would have eventually given Screech

his shot at love. But what I like more is just

the way that they interact. I mean, I know Kevin

will say, oh, you're cheating about not having

a favorite or a least favorite, but it's one

of those things where I have always said in any

of these episodes, a lot of them, it's what the

characters... how they interact with each other

is what I really like. Zack... I have a note

about this later, but Zack reminds me of someone

from 1986 and we'll talk about that later. Slater...

I could have sworn at first that Slater and Zack

wouldn't get along because... Zack is a schemer.

Slater is a jock. Right. Well, they didn't get

along at first. Right. Well, that's what I'm

saying. They didn't get along at first. I could

have sworn that pattern was going to continue,

but it didn't. And I like that it didn't. There's

a reason for that, which remind me to get into

later. OK. So what about you, JT? Favorite characters?

Least favorite character? I'd say my least favorite.

Like, I like Screech pretty much the whole way

just because I have a soft spot for the goofs,

you know, and I was like, I love the show so

much like when it came up at a later show that

is like his first name was Samuel is like, I

thought his first name was screech. But my favorite

would probably be it's a tie. It's like Zach

and Kelly, because they just out of this group,

they seem the most, you know, normal kind of

thing. Yeah. And my my just because I mean, they're

well. in the context of the show that just seemed

the most normal even though Zach was kind of

an ass, but my least favorite was kind of Jessie

just because I knew a lot of girls like that

in high school that were like these, you know,

very driven, very opinionated, and there's really

nothing wrong with that, but that just wore on

me a lot. Yeah. Gotcha. So she kind of falls

into that category for her least favorite. Not

that she was a bad character, it's just She annoyed

the hell out of me. I think for me, it's pretty

easy. Zach's my favorite. I don't know. I can

see a lot of myself in Zach. And obviously, I

don't know, he dates Kelly. I mean, come on.

Everybody wanted to date Kelly. No doubt, at

least during these years. We'll get into that

later. But I love Zach. I love Kelly, obviously.

And I and I would have wanted to be friends with

Slater just because he was I thought he was cool

My least favorite would be a tie between Lisa

and Jesse. I just neither one of them did anything

for me Lisa was all materialistic and I can't

stand that as far as always being about you know

clothes and things and purses and items and stuff

So I don't like that about her and Jesse was

just that over -the -top feminist Girl power

nonsense Sorry, I probably just made a lot of

enemies. Yeah, but she kind of gave me a situation

where she would fall for the jocks, so... But

yeah, yeah, that was kind of interesting. But

every time I think of Jesse, I can only think

of one scene, and it's this one right here. Pills!

You mean you really are taking drugs? I need

them! Jesse, give me those! I need them, Zach!

I have to sing! Jesse! You can't sing tonight!

You know now that I think about it It's one of

those things where if Lisa and Screech got together

you would have Six people three couples. Yeah,

Zack and Kelly Slater and Jesse and Screech and

Lisa Yeah, it's kind of always how they set it

up somewhat with the three guys and the three

girls. Yeah, but Oh, wow. I just flashed to Zack

Screech and Slater being the chipmunks and the

girls being the chipettes. That'd be good. My

mind is blown. Something about Jessie and Lisa

just, you know, like I said, it's always bugged

me. So I don't know. I like the interaction between

Jessie and Slater of how they they're pet names

for each other. I like that. But Jessie on her

own, she's OK. I prefer Kelly. All right. Well,

I agree. That's a good decision on that one.

Let's get into some of the adults minus we're

not talking about any of the teachers at this

point, but let's just talk about the adults that

showed up over the show with some main roles.

And that was obviously Mr. Belding, Max, who

ran the Max, Leon Krosy from when they're on

their trip. And I don't know why I added him

in here, but I just felt like we should mention

the first one of the first season episodes where

Casey Kasem shows up. What are your thoughts

on some of these guys, Mike? Anytime Casey Kasem

shows up in anything, you know you have a hit.

Even if it's for a bit part, I absolutely love

Casey Kasem. As far as the other characters,

I guess is this where we can kind of mention

our goof up in last episode about Belding? Yeah.

Belding, I completely forgot about this. And

I agree with what you said in the Miss Bliss

episode Gerald Belding is actually probably Richard

Belding's brother We're trying to find what his

name wasn't saved. I can't believe I didn't remember

that I know I can't like when you sent me the

script. I'm like, oh yeah His name is Richard

we're retarded, you know, um but the other max

and Leon Kurosi I Like Max, I just remember,

Max to me, and I know JT will love this, I know

Kevin will hate this, Max to me is like Ernie

from the Angel Girl Juice Bar in Power Rangers.

Very much so, yes. Holy, here we go again. I'm

going to kill you. Epic fail. I liked Max's,

the magic that he would do. Yeah. It was just

fun and he could relate to the kids. He was like,

you could, you could, everybody knows that adult.

that's in the school setting or that's in the,

you know, somewhere like that, that kind of more

so relates to the kids, whether it's someone

in the lunch room or whether it's like, I don't

know, just some person that works out that's

not a teacher, but just that adult that just

gets it and he got it and he would help them

out and he would do stuff for them. I mean, I

know he didn't last the entire run. He was more

so just in like the first season or so, but I

really liked Max. And I got to mention Leon Carossi

because Pumba. Yeah. Oh, Ernest, yeah! The voice

of Pumbaa from The Lion King. We so need to throw

in the Pumbaa song in here somewhere. Leon Croce

did a good job of being the Belding type of character

in a different setting. I mean, Belding was obviously

the end -all, be -all of principles in history,

but... But I thought Leon Kross did a decent

job as the boss, kind of a hard -headed boss

type thing. But you can't beat building. What

are your thoughts on these guys, JT? No, you

can't. You like building, too? Well, you know,

the magic. Well, yeah, I love building but you

know the magic that is Casey Kasem No, I love

the anything Casey Kasem shows up in anything.

I like Mike. I just love it I was really kind

of as the show went on I was kind of disappointed

that you know that kind of wrote max out of the

show He's kind of like that bridge between you

know There's the kids and there were the adults

and in between there is this goof that runs the

restaurant that does tricks Right, and I love

that and Mr. Building, the first time I saw the

show, because I was a huge Dukes of Hazard fan

back in the day, and the first time I saw the

show and I saw Mr. Building, I was like, hey,

it's that guy that Daisy Duke slapped, because

Dennis Haskins had a bit pert in the first episode

of Dukes, you know. But no, Mr. Building's like,

as far as adult administrator type characters

in shows like this, he's at the top of the pile.

Like, you really got to try to beat this guy,

because He plays the good the fumbling bumbling

type just enough That you think this guy could

actually be real somewhere in the world Yeah,

you know there's no doubt in my mind that there

is a real building somewhere Well, and he's the

he was the type of principal that would discipline

you or that would be on your case But at the

same time could relate to you and you know Well,

you know you had that mr. Weatherby thing about

him You know to go to the Archie's for comics

for a bit there It's just he's one of my things

you hadn't mentioned that because the only I

can think of now is what Hooper X said in chasing

Amy Oh, let's not go there Mike, please. Yeah.

Um, mr. Belding to me also is he's I Agree with

what JT said and I agree with what you said Kevin

But the other thing is instead of him teaching

the kids lessons the kids taught him lessons

about some stuff I would liken him to a father

figure for Zach, considering Zach's dad was off

trying to smooch with Miss Bliss. But I would

also put building in the same category as TV

dads, even though he was a principal, I would

put him in the category of TV dads along with

Bill Cosby and Danny Tanner and people of that

nature, role models that you can really look

up to through television. I agree with that 100%.

And the other adults that we have to talk about

but before we get to them and we got to clear

something up real quick I was gonna make you

admit that you're wrong, but we'll just so just

We'll just say that if you listen to the Miss

Bliss episode You obviously know Mike was wrong

when he said Miss Bliss showed up and saved by

the bell In my own damn defense. I remember now

what happened Explain yourself in the olden days.

I remember seeing the cold openings now because

i thought she i honestly thought she was in saved

because of those goddamn zack morris cold opening

episodes for miss bliss because I could've sworn

she was in there somewhere, at least once. Well,

we've already proved how inaccurate Wiki can

be when they said that this show was only on

for four seasons, so let's do the same thing

with IMDB. IMDB lists a Miss Bliss in the episode

casting for one episode, and it says that there's

a character named Miss Bliss in the episode played

by Hayley Mills' sister. I think her name is

Juliet Mills or something like that, but... That's

false because I watched that entire episode and

there's no character like that that shows up.

But speaking of the teachers, is there any teacher

that you guys remember showing up? I mean, I

know they had lots of little different teachers

here and there. The one that I remember the most

is Mr. Tuttle. The little short pudgy guy that...

Don't know. I just loved him because he always

got mad at building and he hated building and

to me that was a perfect representation of how

teachers sometimes get along with their principals

or don't get along with them and I loved that

he always wanted he had it out for building But

any teachers that that you guys remember at all

JT? Honestly, I don't really remember a lot of

the teachers, you know except for building. Yeah,

I remember total but oh go ahead JT. Well, no,

it's just It's not that the characters weren't

good characters. This is they didn't leave any

sort of really lasting impression I mean like

I can vaguely remember, you know, I Can remember

teachers from another show that shall not be

named more than I remember the teachers from

the show So No, it's just it's you know, they

they were probably great characters. I just don't

recall anything like that Mike I'm assuming you

remember mr. Testa Verde though Don't remember

him, but I cannot believe that I didn't even

know this oh my god They had fucking g1 blur

as their teacher John Machida jr. In in in that

episode. He's like He's reciting stuff, and they're

taking notes And he's going so fast that they're

all like writing and their pencils are like on

fire And they're like trying to keep up with

him It's a great episode. So so far in this episode

of the telecast we've had a Power Rangers connection

and a Transformers connection sure we'll get

some more but I but I remember mr. Tuttle the

most as my favorite one because he showed up

the most but I do remember some of the other

ones and Mr. Dewey was kind of that boring Skinny

little guy that I don't know. He's they were

all kind of humorous in their own ways. They

all like represented a different stereotype of

a teacher You know, I remember the kids talking

about the teachers more than actually seeing

the actual teachers. Yeah, a lot of times they

just mention them. Yeah. But yeah, Mr. Dewey,

Mr. Simpson, Mr. Tuttle, Mr. Testaverde, and

Ms. Wentworth I think are the ones that show

up the most. How about some of the other students?

Because we had a plethora of other students showing

up. Probably the most, the three, well, besides

the nerds, because you had like moose and ox

and a bunch of cast of nerds and like Weirdos

and jocks and stuff like that You either had

the jocks that hung out with Slater for the football

team or you had screeches nerd group or whatever

But the ones I want to mention most obviously

violet bigger staff Tori spelling screeches one

-time flame We have Tori Scott which we'll get

into some of her backstory and whatnot a little

bit later But we can talk about just her character

for now and then Stacy Kurosi good old Leah Remini

from oh wow King of Queens Queens or the talk

now I guess is what she's on and then of course

we had Jeffrey Hunter played by Patrick Muldoon

who was the flame from the max for Kelly which

we'll get into more of that episode later but

as far as just some of these side characters

do you guys remember any of them or have likes

or dislikes for any of them Mike start with you

and My memory of this show and Good Morning,

Miss Bliss is so mashed together No, seriously,

I thought That like I get it now because I remember

it now But at first when I first saw Stacey Kurosi's

name and Leah Remini's I was like wait That wasn't

Nikki. That's somebody totally different, but

I was like, oh wow. I remember her now The whole

Tory thing, I know we're gonna get into that

later, but when I saw that on the Wikipedia,

I was like, wait, Tory spelling? What Tory thing?

But then I remembered it was a, it's a character.

The biker chick. Yeah. No, no, no. I know the

difference, but I'm just saying when I saw the

heading of the Tory situation or whatever it

was, the first thing I thought of was Tory spelling

and not the actual character of the other actress.

What about Tory spelling though, showing up as

a nerd? Freddie fucking cool. I don't even remember

that one violent bigger stuff She showed up quite

a few times and she was always I mean if you

didn't know it was tory spelling Maybe you wouldn't

have recognized her But I just thought it was

weird that she was showing up on save out of

the bell like that That was kind of crazy and

another one. I just forgot was uh was Jesse's

brother Eric I don't know if you guys remember

him. He was kind of the biker mechanic guy Yeah,

but he's not vaguely remember him, but yeah When

then obviously there was other people like Kelly's

sister and you know, this is our Slater sister

you know, there was different people that showed

up but Also, how about some of the guest appearances

Scott Wolf from party of five appeared multiple

times Denise Richards Christine Taylor from hey

dude from an earlier episode and Solil moon fry

all appear. Yeah So little moon fry was the one

that was trying to that she was in the episode

with the the spaghetti sauce Yeah, which Creech

was trying to invent it to me and she she was

in it for the money and whatnot or whatever And

she stole their episode recipe. I don't remember

the episode perfectly But I got to almost rewatch

it to remember when Denise Richards and Christine

Taylor and Scott Wolf showed up But I know that

they all show up. Yeah, but uh, I don't know

just interesting when you see certain people

that Become more famous for other things show

up in shows like this Well, yeah, cuz you're

looking at the list here. Like you mentioned

ginger who was played by Bridget Wilson knows

like Sonya blade from Mortal Kombat was in here

and I was thinking it's like she was Totally

forgot about that We didn't talk about about

Jeff too much. But what were you guys opinion

about? the guy Kelly leaves that for Asshole

he's kind of a douche Yeah, mega douche. Because

I remember when they were at that club and they

find him dancing with somebody else, that over

18 club. That guy was a douche. Yeah, so a douche.

He was like your prototypical Rico Suave, like

typical man, anyway. The only other group that

we haven't talked about, and I guess there's

not a lot to talk about, but the show often brought

in parents of the main six. I we saw Zack's dad

make a reappearance even though I'm pretty sure

that was a different actor Probably Of course

the famous scene in Zack's bedroom where his

dad's always on the phone I remember Lisa's parents.

I'm obviously remember Major Slater yeah in that

and then I remember Kelly's dad and obviously

Kelly had you know kind of a more complex home

life than maybe some of the other ones did um

because basically you got the impression that

that screech has you know both parents they're

a little bit crazy kind of like him but just

a regular household for the most part even though

they're all kind of nerdy crazy you know zack's

in a situation where his dad's never home so

he's kind of running his own show kelly's got

multiple kids or multiple siblings I was going

to say, if she had kids that young, there's something

wrong. Multiple siblings, and it seems like they're

always kind of in a little bit more financial

problems. Yeah. Lisa seems like she has very

successful parents. That's why she's always into

things and has money to buy things and whatnot.

Yeah. You don't really get a... Well, obviously,

Slater's the army kid. Yeah. But you don't really

get a huge insight into Jessie's family life

too much. It's probably somewhat wrong. I could

have sworn there was an episode or two. where

Mr. Spano and Slater were going at it. Oh, really?

I could be wrong. I'm just saying. It's happened

before. Yeah. Mr. Spano is listed in the credits.

I didn't know if he just appeared in that scene

in that episode where she's ODing on caffeine

pills, which has got to be one of the most ridiculous

things I've ever heard. I mean, it's almost like

they wanted to do something about drugs, but

that was too... to cutting edge so they switched

it to caffeine pills. Well, this is NBC. But

I love that episode. I'm sorry. No, I know. I

agree. But I'm just saying like stuff like, yes,

Saved by the Bell did tackle some major issues,

but you had to wait until Fox took on 90210 to

actually tackle drug issues. Yeah. And we'll

talk a little bit more about the issues in our

next section. But before we get there, is there

any? Characters that you guys didn't get to say

something you wanted to about or a character

I forgot or Anything that you want to say it

just ends summing up of the characters like maybe

your favorite characters outside of the main

cast or anything like that Mike Not really. Um,

I Think I've said everything I was gonna say.

So yeah, that's pretty much it. All right, JT

Just speaking about the parents for a quick second,

Zach's dad and Lisa's mom showed up in two of

my favorite episodes of the series. Derek Moore

shows up in the one where Zach's in the dip with

Mr. Belding, so he gets the second kind of proprietor

of the Max James, the actor, who is one of my

favorite. I think he was kind of underused in

the show. I just I love the fact he was like

this over -the -top, you know Shakespearean style

actor and he gets him to play Zach's dad and

almost pulls it off and That was a great that

was I love that character Yeah, and that whole

episode was just fun and then there was the episode

where Zach's got to get like his appendix out

or something and You know, he meets you find

Lisa's mom, even though she's a doctor. It's

like Lisa is pretty much her mom just you know

in Fashion sense and also gave rise to like one

of my favorite quotable lines from that episode

is like she's gonna hack Zack Because he's going

under the knife and he's just all paranoid about

it Excellent. I'm glad you brought up that James

character. I almost forgot about him completely.

Yeah No, it's like I said very underused in the

show. Like he's a cool guy and all but it's kind

of like max He just wasn't there enough for me

Yeah He could have been used more. Both of them

could have been used more. So I don't know. Everybody

listening when you're going to our website and

commenting, let us know who your favorite characters

are and who your least favorite characters are

out of the ones we've mentioned. But for now,

I think it's time for... The good. The bad. The

ugly. That's right. It is time for the good,

the bad, and the ugly. Saved by the bell and

we always like to start with the theme song So

let's start with not only the theme song but

the music in general for the show and we're talking

about the little Instrumental stuff that they

would play in between scenes the bumper type

music We're talking about the different, you

know, there was always times where they were

having songs either that the group was singing

or lip -syncing to You know the whole Zach attack

band and whatnot so so JT thoughts on the theme

song and the instrumental music and and the songs

that they would sing Greatest theme song ever

Which certainly there are a lot of contenders

for that, but it definitely is one of the few

shows that truly deserves that title just because

you know anytime you hear you hear that opening

bell ring and Even if you can hear the audio

you're going the lyrics are going through your

mind you're thinking about it You know, you're

kind of snapping your fingers to it As far as

like actual songs in the show. I again I don't

Remember a lot of the songs like I do remember

the audio stings. They have those kind of guitar

Just like riff sort of things like entering a

room or just cutting from scene to scene or go

in a commercial You know stuff like that. I remember

But the like I said this theme song is just one

of those things. It's like left this indelible

mark Yeah on almost everybody that ever watched

the show on just that bell ringing Yeah, and

and and it's one of those that not only does

everybody know what everybody knows every single

word to this song You'd be shaped on you. Yeah,

you'd be hard -pressed to find someone of our

generation That doesn't know the words to this

song whether they'll admit to it or not in the

instrumental Cues and what not that is one of

the one things that survived from Good Morning

Miss Bliss Yeah, because most of those are the

same types of sounds that you could hear in between

the scenes and that what makes those shows even

seems somewhat more connected at times is Because

it did use that same type of instrumental music

As far as like songs that they were singing.

I always remember the scene where the guys are

Dancing in the room while the girls are spying

on them or they're doing Come go with me the

oldest song from the five aces and they're dancing

around with like I don't know if they got like

sunglasses on or or whatnot. I Love that. I love

that scene when because it was one of those times

where they were Purposefully like it was supposed

to be that they were lip -syncing It's not where

they were lip -syncing, but it was supposed to

actually be them singing This is a time like

where they're just like jamming out in their

room lip syncing to a song like teenagers do

all the time. And I don't know. I love that song.

Come and go with me. The oldest song. So I remember

that one specifically. Mike, what are your thoughts

on theme song, instrumental and some of the songs

they sung? Theme song. I agree with JT. It is

such a classic. Actually, it's funny. The other

day. um they're actually a couple months ago

before school let out i actually had the lyric

of just to see the bus fly by in my head as a

by the school bus flew by down the street um

the the bumper music i love uh the soundtrack

i listened to i i found it on amazon I do not

believe this it is It's so nuts on Amazon to

get the saved by the bell soundtrack for a new

copy of a damn CD they're asking $125 and Used

it's 48 on Amazon. That's ridiculous to me for

anything Yeah, I'm that that that's just ridiculous

that that it's that kind of price and second

of all the soundtrack is not on iTunes It should

be but it's not The other thing is, when I listened

to it through the Amazon MP3 sampler, I don't

know if it was other artists doing the songs

from the show, or if it was the actual cast doing

the songs on the soundtrack, because outside

of Friends Forever and the theme song on the

soundtrack, I hate all the songs on the soundtrack.

I'm going to agree and disagree with part of

that, because I agree that the soundtrack is

not good. I'll agree that the soundtrack was

done wrong. What the soundtrack should have been

was the best songs from the show instead of a

few songs from the show and then these songs

that I have no idea what they had to do with

the show. Yeah. Like if they would have put certain,

you know, Friends Forever and some of the songs

that the cast actually sang in the show and that

would have been the soundtrack, that would have

been cool. But instead they took like two or

three and then added a bunch of weird stuff to

it. And see, that's what I'm saying. That's what

I meant. That's what I was saying off air to

you about the soundtrack. It's not that I dislike

the actual songs that the cast did in the show.

I dislike the versions that are on the soundtrack

because it sounds nothing like what was in the

actual fucking chill. And of course... The one

episode that highlights a lot of this is another

Casey Kasem one where they take a look back at

the life of Zack Attack and it's an interesting

episode. Oh my God, Zack Attack behind the music.

But we would be, you know, obviously you kind

of already mentioned it and the most famous probably

song that comes out of this show from the Zack

Attack is Friends Forever. So we're going to

let everybody listen to that real quick right

now. So that's probably one of the most famous

songs there is some other songs that if you pay

attention you might we might jog your memory

with as you as we go through the show and the

one thing that always got me also about the music

last thing I'll say basically about it is the

singers that they got that almost made it sound

like it could have been the actors actually singing

that they found some singers that sounded a lot

like Slater or Jessie or or Lisa or Zach or whoever

it would be. I mean, I know it was never them

actually singing But they found some singers

that almost matched up pretty well. Yeah. Oh

and the other thing about the about some of the

instrumental music I think the instrumental music

fits perfectly with the bright color Graphics

that they use. Oh, yeah, it just matches so well

together in that 90s feel and I don't know the

music to me really It's not what makes the show

because the characters are what makes the show

in this one, but the music is just like a bonus

Yeah, the music cues the bumpers and the theme

song are a bonus because this is one of the only

shows even today This is one of a few only shows

that I actually will watch through the whole

show from the beginning To the actual episode

to the actual end of the credits. Yeah I mean,

because normally when I go on marathon watches

of anything, if I've seen more than five episodes

of a show after about five episodes of watching

full 22 minutes or 42 minutes or whatever, however

long the show is supposed to be as far as without

commercials, I usually end up skipping the outros

because it's like, okay, I saw this episode,

let's go on to the next episode now. But this

is one of those shows, a few shows that I can

actually watch. the entire thing. I agree with

that, actually. A hundred percent. Let's talk

a little bit about Zach and the breaking of the

fourth wall. I want to see Zach and Ferris scheming

together. That would be fun. That's the one thing,

like, I saw Ferris before I ever saw Saved by

the Bell and was like, are they ripping this

off of Matthew Broderick? I just love the fact

that he would always talk to the screen and one

of the favorite things is when he would call

a timeout. Yeah, I know. Yeah. Call a timeout,

freeze everybody, and they talk to us about something.

And that's just a great way to make the viewer

feel like part of the show. Yeah. And I've always

loved that about, like, sitcoms. Like, you don't

s - sitcoms are about seeing, I think, what's

the only genre TV show that really do fourth

wall stuff like that. Like, other shows will

do, like, that knowing wink where they look at

the camera or... You know stuff like Jay and

Bob strike back where they're like a Jay and

silent Bob movie who would pay money to see that

and they look at the camera Yeah, you know stuff

like that. I love my gear see the sitcom Titus

that was like One of the signature bits of the

show is that you would go to this quick black

-and -white shot of Titus talking to the audience

about what was going on and it's something about

them when the main character just you know, just

Throws everything into the park. It's like okay.

Let's talk about this Well, and it was really

cool to have Zach be that character that did

it too Yeah, he's the only one that I mean as

much as I love all the characters He's the only

one that should have pulled it off and like I

said I would love to see Mark Paul Gosselaar

and Matthew Broderick in a room as those characters

just going back and forth with each other. That

would be so cool. Yeah. Get them on Jimmy Fallon.

There we go. We'll talk about that a bit. Yeah.

What about the setting of both of the school

and the Max? To me, I have the same note for

both of them. It's a school. They're all the

same in TV. It's a cafe slash teen hangout. They're

all the same in TV. They may have different,

you know. Designs and stuff, but it's it's the

same thing throughout you always have a hangout

spot for the main cast or whatever I mean there

wasn't to me there wasn't really anything special

about the max See I don't eat at the max so bad

as a kid because like I grew up in Well, not

really, but I kind of grew up in the middle of

nowhere where there was nothing really like that

for me Well, that's what Saskatchewan is in the

middle of nowhere We we had a pizza place that

was somewhat similar to it But we didn't quite

have something that was just like the max where

it was just kids that would show up That's what

I always liked about it is at the max. There

was only kids there Yeah, rarely saw adults there.

Well, yeah, no, it's just I always wanted to

go to like, you know Kind of the kitschy restaurant

like that, you know, it just seemed like a cool

place. They wanted to go that and And as much

as I love, you know The max there's another show

with another hangout where I really wanted to

go and hang out at but we'll get to that in another

episode Then there was the peach. What was it

the peach pit in 90210? Yeah, yeah The school

the school, you know, I always had that one hallway

with the with the lockers and the stairwell Yeah,

you know used over and over and over again But

I just kind of liked the the look of the school

as far as you know the colors and the stuff they

use and what else But it's your typical school,

I guess, but it worked for what they needed it

to work as, and the classrooms worked, or classroom,

I guess we'll get to that in a second. All right,

we gotta talk about the Tory situation, which

is what Mike was alluding to before. The whole

issue of the last season, season five, and the

fact that there was a argument, or a... disputes

and contracts between the shows producers or

the shows bigwigs and both Jesse and Kelly, you

know and So Jesse and Kelly basically Refused

to shoot any more episodes. Yeah, so they bring

in the Tory character the biker chick and The

weird thing that happens is so then they film

a bunch of episodes with Tory but then Because

basically what they did is they ordered a bunch

of more episodes after they were already done

Yeah, and so they that's when Kelly and Jesse

stepped out and they had to have someone to do

it So they brought Tory in for these extra episodes

and then it came to the season when they would

actually air them and They air them mixed together

They skip an episode. Yeah, so one episode you'll

have Kelly and Jesse And no Tori. And the next

episode you'll have Tori and no Kelly and Jesse.

And I always wondered about that as a kid. I'm

like, why they never explain why Kelly and Jesse

are not there or what happened to them. And it

was just the way that they aired them completely

out of whack. So one time you'd have these characters

and one times you. But they're never in the same

episode because they never filmed together. And

it's just a confusing part of that last season,

even to the point where At the end you have the

graduation Was filmed like before some of the

other episode, I don't know it's just kind of

weird Yeah, my note under the Tory situation

was seriously question mark because I mean this

is so ridiculous I mean this is indicative of

you know TV people that do this or if if actors

don't sign contracts or whatever I'm just so

glad, and I will always bring this example up,

I'm just so glad that they didn't do the whole

soap opera bit where they'll say, Kelly Kapowski

is now being played by Jenny McCarthy or whatever,

you know what I mean? I'm so glad that they,

in these episodes, that they said, okay, well,

let's not use these characters, let's bring in

another character. So I like that in that sense,

but yeah, this is like one of those totally fucked

up situation. I just remember watching episodes

and being like, why is Kelly and Jesse never

there when Tori is there? It's like, it's like,

oh God, it's a time paradox. You can't be in

the same place at the same time as these people.

What it is is it's Kelly is always throwing a

wrench into the works. She wouldn't sign the

contract to be in these other episodes. She won't

show up for the reunion. She's the one that throws

the wrench into it. We'll get to the reunion

here in a bit, though. Let's talk about the Malibu

Sands Beach Club episodes, the ones that have

the Krosy's, Stacy and Mr. Krosy, and where they're

working on the beach. Shouldn't we talk about

the Hawaiian style first, or did the Malibu episodes

come first? Let's see, Hawaiian style was November

of 92, and the beach episodes... When were the

beach episodes? Well did the beach what I mean

as far as the beach episodes did the beach episodes

come and then Hawaiian style happened that's

I'm trying to remember real quick on my My brain

is not working specifically Let's see Cuz like

the way I remember it is I saw Hawaiian style

before I saw The other beach episodes, but that

makes that makes sense Well, if I could find

when the beach episodes happened, that would

be great. I think Hawaiian Style happened first

and then... I'm not entirely certain, but I think

it happened first. Okay, if Hawaiian Style happened

first... We can talk about that first. Well,

I just have one note that everybody is going

to just run screaming from the room for me for

this. Sweet. Okay, and I and I have to read the

description for Hawaiian style from wiki Kelly's

grandfather played by Dean Jones invites the

kids to stay at his Hotel in Hawaii however someone

else is out to buy his land and build hotel slash

resort complex and the group has to save it My

is a jock version of Shaggy, Lisa is Daphne,

Jesse is an opinionated version of Velma, Kelly

is Scooby, and Screech is Scrappy. Started just

to me he started acting like scrappy. That is

terrible. And Kelly is Scooby I'm not saying

Kelly Kapowski is a dog she is far from that

but that was the only character that would that

I could add that is the only analogy that I could

put because Lisa as Daphne makes sense because

of her fashion and money and all that shit. Jesse

as Velma makes sense because of Jesse being the

brain and Zach is Fred. Zach's a little bit more

clever than Fred and obviously as I said Slater

being a jock version of Shaggy obviously Slater's

not gonna go on you know eating binges but yeah.

I'm like seriously The the beach episodes were

an episode. We're in season 3 and 91 which was

before the Hawaiian episode, okay? Like we said,

yeah. The beach episodes, see, I got them confused

then because the beach episodes, I thought they

happened because of the movie. I do like the

beach episodes because it's something different

for them. Yeah. I liked them being on the beach.

I liked Kelly being a lifeguard. I liked Zach

having another flame with Stacey and just the

whole interaction with the different... Adult

figure with mr. Kross instead of building. It

was just a nice little switch a nice little change

I mean, it wasn't like it was forever. It was

almost like a little miniseries within the within

the In the show within the show. I mean, I think

it was only like I don't know five or six episodes

Maybe ten episodes at the most So, I mean it

was just I don't know. It's kind of cool. I liked

it you know, and they needed to do something

after A certain other thing happened right at

the beginning of season 3 which we'll get into

in a minute But in the JTD, do you have any other

comments you wanted to make on either the Malibu

Sands episodes or the Hawaiian -style movie?

Well, the Sands episode, I mean, the most thing

I remember of that is Leia Romini, because let's

face it, hot. Yes. And it just seemed like the

thing that would happen eventually being set

in California, they're going to end up working

at some sort of beach resort or that sort of

thing just seemed... The format sure that just

it was gonna happen sooner or later. Yeah, and

when it's like that You need to keep it fresh

and change things. You can't just be in school

all the time Yeah, but I also would have liked

to have seen the curses come back at some point

and they never did It was pretty much like that

six episode block within the show and that was

pretty much it So it's kind of like, you know

with the goes back to like the you know the max

with like James and Max and that's just underused

characters who I think had a lot of potential.

It would have been nice to see them come back

even, you know, in the final episode, the grad

episode or something. They run into Stacy in

the college years and they never did, you know,

that would have been fun. Yeah. Well, there's

also another good thing about it was for once

you got to see what they were doing during a

summer. Yeah. You know you always get to see

him during the school year and then I was always

like oh Fast forward and you know it jumps to

the next school year and you're like, oh we had

a good summer or something like that This is

the first time almost where they're like showing

you what happens during the summer. Yeah I just

like the beach episodes. It's just how You know,

Jesse's supposed to be this ultra political,

you know, upwardly mobile female and Then she's

on the beach just acting like all these girls

that she's always putting down in the show and

is just kind of like hypocrite. You know. Yeah.

What about your thoughts on the Hawaiian style

movie? I tripped out when I saw the Hawaiian

style movie because I was a huge Disney kid growing

up. And Dean Jones, for those that don't know,

was like the main star of all the Herbie the

Love Bug movies from back in the day. Oh, yeah.

He was a huge Disney. Him and Kurt Russell both

did a lot of work with Disney back in the 60s

and I was just like holy crap. It's Ruby's driver,

you know, I couldn't remember the guy but I just

recognized the guy and he just seemed like a

really cool dude and Hawaiian style. Yeah, just

the whole kind of Scooby -Doo esque plot was

Well, what else are you gonna do with these characters?

I mean really It was it was yeah, it's like one

of those things It's like one of those, you know,

the main dress of the show is the high school

And I really loved it when they kind of went

to, you know, they took two steps to the side

and well, they can also go here. And the Hawaiian

style movie is probably one of my favorite, you

know, you know, steps to the side that they did

in the show. Yeah, so. Plus, you got to see Kelly

in a bikini and that was fun. Yeah, that's how

I argue that. Looking back at. all of the episodes

and the Hawaiian style movie kind of taking that

out of the equation but looking at the 86 episodes

that we had or whatever. JT do you have any episodes

that stand out like two or three episodes maybe

that are your favorite or two or three that you

didn't care for? Well like I said earlier like

two of my favorite episodes is the one where

Zach got James to fake being his dad to get him

out of the trouble with building is up there

The one where he's got to go under the knife

to get his like appendix out and you know, Lisa's

mom's working on is up there another favorite

and just because it was like one of the serious

episodes was the Jesse's addicted to caffeine

pills Jesse's song. Yeah And it's if you watch

it now and it's almost laughably bad with some

of the acting like when you see Jesse's terrible

than that. And she's like, how about that? She's

just like spazzing out. I was so excited. Exactly.

Yeah. It's just like, OK, you know, I can see

why you did showgirls now. You know, this is

where it starts. We'll bring that up later. Yeah,

I know. I know. I'm just saying not do a good

acting job in this episode. No, but I mean, back

when I saw that as a kid, I was kind of like,

wow, drugs are bad, basically. But if I see if

I see that now, like I saw it on YouTube, I'm

just kind of like, not so much. Any any episodes

that you didn't care for? Not really. I mean.

The only one that kind of annoyed me was the,

and as much as I love Casey Kason was that whole,

you know, behind the music, Zach attack episode.

It just, I can see just took me, took me completely

out of the show kind of, and that was about the

only one I really had any trouble with. And well,

there's the whole thing where, you know, Jesse

was dating Jeffrey, you know, the dude from the,

the max and he dumped her and I kind of hate

that episode just cause it was like douche bag.

Yeah, so personal anything, but yeah, the only

episode really had a problem with was the you

know back behind the music gotcha I had a problem

with and really the only ones I had a problem

with is kind of what what what JT said But I'll

take it one step further any time the two main

couples aren't together is when I had a real

issue with the show No, seriously. Yes. I understand

they had to do it for character development,

but I mean Jesse and Slater, Zack and Kelly are

meant to be together forever. They just are.

That's how it should be, dammit. That's exactly.

That's how it should be, dammit. Just like Kevin

and Winnie. Anyway, here we go. Yeah, that's

a whole other season for Telecast. So as far

as favorites, I don't have any specific favorites,

but I like when, actually now that I think about

it, I liked some of the stuff at the school that

they did outside of the school like on the track

and field place or When they wasn't there an

episode where they were going up against another

high school for like some sort of Olympic thing

or something Not Olympics, but I mean there was

some valley a couple times. I guess we forgot.

Yeah Yeah, some sort of school rivalry. I like

those episodes as well Well since you bring that

up What are your guys thoughts about the difference

between Bayside and Valley and the different

things the interactions between the schools?

Like I know they had like a some wrestling competitions.

They had like a chess competition They had a

scene episode where they're stealing in each

other's mascots JT. What are your thoughts on

Valley as the rival school? I'd liked it. I mean

you kind of have to have that nemesis for The

kids and then sometimes show up at the max or

something Yeah, and correct if I'm wrong, but

wasn't the Valley High like the high school from

California dreams. Oh I don't know Ever I think

it was I'm not sure but no, I kind of liked any

time they brought in Valley just cuz you you

had to have You know the other side basically,

yeah flip side of the coin and I was kind of

Valley I mean, it's you can't really had to a

show centered on a high school like this without

having a Rivalry's yeah, and there's something

else that you can relate to then as a viewer

I liked about More so about the way they portrayed

the characters is, instead of the traditional,

because Slater is the jock, but instead of having

him be the traditional, oh, I'm the huge basketball

player that I'm eventually going to get into

a scandal about college bribing me. I'm glad

they didn't do that with either him being a college

football player or a college basketball player.

I liked that they made him a wrestler instead.

It was something different. It wasn't the normal,

like I just said, it wasn't the normal scandal,

you know. And whenever shows try to do basketball

or stuff like that and they show it, it's always

the cheesiest thing ever when they show a basketball

game. So a wrestling meet is much easier to kind

of translate into the screen. Yeah. As far as

my I have a couple. Least favorite episodes.

I mean, I like basically You're always all about

the least favorite or the most negative crap

No, I mean you like them all but there's got

to be some that just don't stack up enough There's

got to be some that buggy a little bit and and

one of them is entitled close encounters of the

nerd kind where They have this cheesy ass thing

where They bring in like this FBI type special

agent with the government that's convinced that

Screech is an alien and they dress Screech up

as an alien because they're trying to fool a

tabloid and Do you remember what year this I'm

sorry to interrupt you. Do you remember what

year this episode aired? It was November. It

was it aired on my birthday in 1990 Okay Now

just from what you're telling me from this episode

and it's season two would have been so much better

If elf was still on the air and they put elf

in there I mean it was just terrible first of

all them dressing screech up like an alien was

bad thing yeah, but then a special agent with

the government coming in and dealing with it

like please I did not like that episode and The

other episode I really didn't care for was called

miss bayside and That was the episode where screech

The other episode with Screech that I just cannot

stand and it's just going off of memory reading

from the Wikipedia synopsis of the episode. The

episode where Zack tries to get Screech a date,

but no one will go out with the poor kid. And

then Zack. So Zack has to dress up as a girl.

Like, really? Seriously? Like, I get best friendship

or BFF forever things, but seriously, that's

where I would draw the line. I'd never fucking

do that. Oh my god. Yes. But because I like to

torture people, I'm actually - It's like dress

in drag and do the hula. Yes. Just to torture

everybody, I do - we're gonna listen to a clip

from - miss Bayside and enjoy this or not. So

yes, that was a clip from probably my least favorite

episode of the series, but I do have some favorites.

I got four that stuck out in my mind. First of

all, the Mystery Weekend, where they do the whole

murder mystery. And again mystery incorporated

and they're all trying to figure out like a whodunit

thing Yeah, and and they have trap doors and

secret passages and whatnot. I love that type

of stuff I don't care when it's done or who does

it. I love those type of whodunit things I've

always actually wanted to be it You know how

that you can like be a part of one or you can

host your own Yeah, like that would be so fun

and I just liked how they did it in it and it

actually wasn't obvious it was not obvious who

You know the the killer was, so to speak, in

that one. So that was a real fun episode for

me because it was just something completely different.

Again, getting them away from the school and

also showing friends hanging out outside of school,

like having a fun weekend or something together.

That was kind of cool. Second one would be a

one, I don't know why I love this episode so

much, but it's called pipe dreams. And it is

when they strike oil out in the football field

or wherever it is. And then basically, the bigwigs

come in and they want to drill for oil and it's

going to mean a lot of money and whatnot and

then some animals are getting oil spilt on them

like a duck or a goose or something like that.

And I think the reason I love this episode is

the speech Zach gives at the end when he's squirting

oil. All over this little like model of what

the new Bayside is gonna look like and it's just

like Zach single -handedly taking down the man

I Love that I'll go Mike Yeah, but there's oh

my god This is probably the only show that has

you know, we always talk about six degrees of

whatever most times is six degrees of Kevin Bacon

But, like, this is the only show so far in telecast

history that I have made so many different references

to, because now a fucking Captain Planet reference,

seriously. It was awesome, though. That episode,

I'm trying to find it, but I couldn't find it.

I wanted to put it in here, but I can't find

a video of that anywhere online or anything.

But it was just so great. That speech at the

end is awesome when he's just like... taking

it to him because he was the one that was all

for it in the beginning and then he switches

his tune after all the animals get oiled. I like

how he goes from being like a crusader like this

and then one of my other favorite episodes is

the one where Screech gets psychic powers for

an episode and Zach keeps trying to cash in on

it. He's always trying to cash in on something.

Well yeah but it's just like one of those things

it just comes like right out of left fields like

Screech gets an electrical shock and all of a

sudden he can like read minds and see the future

and just kind of like, well, I can say that personally,

I wouldn't have taken advantage of a friend if

that had happened to them. So it's just like,

it's just such a cliched sitcom idea, but it

worked with Zach, you know. I have two other

favorite episodes and then we can move on. But

one of them is the episode school song where

Zach kind of realizes that he's been a bag of

douche for four years and hasn't really contributed

anything to the school so it's his mission to

write the new school song and then they have

the whole competition where Tori and Slater are

doing theirs and Screech is doing his and Zach

does his and it leads to ultimately If you listen

carefully throughout the commercial break, I'm

going to give you all those audition songs that

were played that were possible school songs.

But what it eventually leads to is the real school

song, which to me is the most memorable song

that happens in this entire series outside of

the theme song, which is my school or Bayside

or whatever. But we're going to listen to that

real quick right now. It seems like only yesterday

we started. But soon we'll put away our books

and pens We'll go on with our lives once we have

parted But how can we say farewell to our friends?

The double days, the parties and the dancing

Pranning for a new term until three The football

games in the romances. Soon Bayside will be just

a memory. I absolutely love that song. To let

you in on a secret that's actually in my iTunes,

it's on my iPod. You're such a weirdo. I have

TV theme songs and stuff like this on almost

more than I have other songs. I can get TV theme

songs, but... Oh, I love this song. This song

makes me just sentimental and like, I don't know.

It's like, this is the end. To me, this song

represents the end of Saved by the Bell. This

is like the end of everything and it's sad and

I love it. So that's one of my favorite episodes

just because of all the songs that are on there.

And like I said, listen during the commercial

break and you'll hear the other versions of different

school songs that were put out there to vote

on. And my final and probably most favorite episode

of all is also probably one of the saddest. And

that's the one titled The Last Dance, where Kelly

and Zach break up. There's a costume. It's a

time paradox. What's that? It didn't happen,

it was a time paradox. Zack and Kelly forever.

There's a costume dance, and Zack Attack is supposed

to be singing or whatever they're called at that

point, but it ends up just Slater and Jesse singing,

and Zack and Kelly have just been named, I don't

know if it was prom king and queen or homecoming

king and queen or something, and Zack tells Kelly

that they need to go outside and talk for a minute.

So they go out and we're left with this is how

this this how the episode ends this scene I'm

gonna give you the whole audio for this whole

scene. So enjoy a sentimental save by the bell

moment Should we wait for Zack I don't know where

he went forget it. Let's just do it Okay, everyone

This is the last dance, so find that special

person and make it good. One, two, three. So

tell me all about it, tell me about the plans

Do you really like him? No. Yes. I don't know.

It's just all happening so fast. Kelly, what

happened? I thought you loved me. I do love you,

Zach. It wasn't supposed to be this way. Not

for us. I didn't want to hurt you for anything

in the whole world. I thought we'd always be

together. Zach, I'm so sorry. I miss you, Kelly.

Well hey, how about one last dance? Like that.

I am not afraid to admit it, that damn scene

almost made me cry as a kid. Yeah, I was kind

of broken up with that scene, too. I mean, you

couldn't help. Everybody's had a breakup. And

like, especially when you're a kid, you know,

like, you know, we're all like teenagers during

this show or preteens or whatever when this show

is airing preteens and teenagers. And like, you

could just totally relate to this. And Zach just

getting his heart broken as the hottest girl

on television breaks up with you. That sucks.

And it was just, I don't know, it's just one

of those sentimental moments, and that's always

stuck with me. And the song going on in the background

sung by Sudo, Slater, and Jesse is just perfect.

And it was a to -be -continued episode, which

led to an episode where Zack goes crazy and starts

tearing apart everything that Kelly ever gave

him and is throwing his locker in the hallway.

And that was the end of Zack Kelly for a long

time. That's why that kind of freaked me out

when he lost it like that after the breakup I

was like, yeah, dude, it sucks But it was good

though because the way the first episode ended

he was all like, you know Just you know as we

just heard, you know, can we just be friends?

Of course, we're friends and everything and it

was like no you can't take that that easily Like

it's not okay. Like you need to vent you need

to be angry. You need to throw shit So if you

have your favorite episodes that you're listening

to, the ones that we didn't mention, make some

comments on the website, tell us what your favorite

episodes are or whatever. The last thing I have

for the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly segment is

the ugly part, the only ugly part about Saved

by the Bell to me. And that is the downside of

how popular this show was. This show was so popular

that it single -handedly killed Saturday morning

cartoons. Yeah, that sucks because everybody

decided we need to do these types of shows We

need to do live -action teen or or preteen sitcoms

on Saturdays because people love save by the

bell and Saturday morning cartoons went Out the

window for a good period of years now see I don't

know what you guys but I remember when this show

first started airing Now this is just the way

I remember it again. I could be wrong, but I

always remember it Saturday morning, I would

watch cartoons and then like at 12 o 'clock or

1 o 'clock after the cartoons were over That's

when I would see Saved by the Bell and NBC Yeah

Saturday afternoons, but eventually it just took

over right? Yeah, yeah And that's the only bad

thing I can think about about Saved by the Bell

is what it did to cartoons Yeah, but it's not

really its fault for being so good. Yeah, no

it's nbc's fault yeah because they mined the

hell out of the teen sitcom the problem was is

nothing else was quite as good as this one there

was a few that got closed which we'll talk about

college years was great but yeah but i mean some

of the other shite yeah but yeah we'll get into

more of that in future episodes yeah so that's

the good the bad and the ugly i've saved by the

bell and now it's time for Things that make you

go hmm That's right. It's time for things. You

didn't know about saved by the bell and for the

first one. I'm gonna actually let Someone else

take it so go ahead Mike Lisa turtle was originally

written as a white druish princess from Long

Beach Island from Long Island who moves to California

And the producers like Larkverse were he's so

much they gave her the part Notice what kind

of present princess druish She's from Druidia.

Oh my god A second thing that you might not know

about Mark Paul Gosselaar Zach Morris actually

had to dye his hair blonde every two weeks while

shooting the show Because he was not a natural

blonde and he had to die the crap out of his

hair non -stop He's talked about that in a number

of different interviews. Yeah, I didn't know

that until I saw him in like NYPD blue back in

the day That is is not blonde. What the hell?

Like, why is he dyeing his hair brown? My mom

leans over, he's a natural brunette. Another

thing you might not know about Save by the Bell

is Zack Slater and Screech are the only characters

to appear in every episode of this regular series,

and we're not talking about Good Morning Miss

Bliss or College Years or anything like that.

But, uh, Zack Slater and Screech are the only

ones that appear in every episode, and I... Obviously,

if you took all of the series together, Screech...

shows up in more than anybody else yeah but yeah

the girls were all out obviously we talked about

Jesse and Kelly not being in certain episodes

because Tory was and apparently there must have

been an episode where Lisa wasn't in I don't

know which one but that's according to my sources

it could be wrong maybe Lisa was in all of them

too the fourth thing that you might not know

about the show is Elizabeth Berkeley originally

auditioned for the role of Kelly Kapowski Thank

God was turned down in favor of Tiffany Amberton.

Amen. And but the producers liked Elizabeth so

much that they created a new character, Jesse

Spano. So that was specifically created for Elizabeth

Berkeley. But good Lord, you could have never

been Kelly. What were you thinking? Anyway, another

thing you might not know about Saved by the Bell

is Dustin Diamond was actually three years younger

than the entire rest of the cast. Which is why

there's some issues there, but he was basically

the young one thrown in there with with people

that were all older than him And that's happening

before in a couple other episodes that we've

talked about but yeah, I think that had a traumatic

effect on this one I mean you can tell the difference

and I don't mean to cut you off, but you can

tell the difference like even in Good morning

miss bliss Before Zack even shows up you can

tell that screeches more in line with the other

kids and miss bliss Zack shows up and even in

good morning miss bliss episodes Zack Looks ten

times older than screech. Yeah And the sixth

thing you might not know about say by the belt

and this is according to interviews by Mark Paul

Gosselaar Even though Kelly was scripted as Zach's

girlfriend for the show It was actually Lisa

Larkivores who was Mark Paul Gosselaar's real

-life girlfriend for three years during the show

Really and there is an episode obviously where

they do kiss and they kind of have that connection

I think Zach has a connection with every girl

that ever shows up on the show. Yeah. But anyways,

so apparently he was dating Lisa in real life,

according to his interviews. I'll have to look

him up maybe and hear him say it for himself,

but that seems like an odd connection, but cool.

Another thing you might not know about the show

is that the set of the school was never... struck

down completely after the show stopped production.

It has been used and redressed on many other

shows since then, including That's So Raven,

iCarly, and many others. So there's a reason

you've seen that set again and again, and it

sticks with your mind. Another thing about the

set is that every show, the same classroom was

used. It was just rearranged depending on what

subject was being taught. And you could kind

of tell that there was only one classroom ever.

All classes, no matter who the teacher was, took

place in the same classroom. That's where detention

was held. It was a very popular room. I'm sorry,

I cannot see Mr. Belding doing kung fu. Yes,

it's stealing my thunder again. The last thing

that you might not know about the show is one

of the degrees in Mr. Belding's office is for

kung fu. It's above the filing cabinet next to

his desk. I just cannot see Mr. Belding doing

kung fu. Yes, so so hopefully you learn something

new about saved by the bell, but now we're gonna

do a little Where are they now as far as where

are they now not where they've been since okay?

Well with this okay with this show specifically

with the same by the bell cast specifically I

think we do need to talk about where they have

been since we'll see Obviously, Jesse Spano's

last roles that you've probably seen her in have

been L Word, but then more recently, CSI Miami.

I don't watch CSI very much, but my mom and my

sister do, and I remember seeing an episode where

all of a sudden Elizabeth Berkley is on CSI Miami

as whatever she was, doctor slash. And I and

I was just like what is going on now, obviously

so we'll make Mike happy here Jesse or Elizabeth

Berkeley made most headlines when she obviously

did her showgirls showgirls movie and The reason

why it made headlines to me was that Showgirls

kind of happened right after Belle or like a

few years at like, or Showgirls came out in 98,

right? So it happened like a few years after

Belle and I didn't, I never saw her in anything

else up until then. Right. So that's definitely

her attempt to break the mold of her character.

Oh yeah, you think? And another totally terrible

acting job and... She's also on she did a few

episodes of sitcom Titus Titus's sister I remember

seeing that she came on I was like what it seems

like she somewhat learned how to act though well

now that she's on CSI Miami but showgirls man

if you've never seen that I recommend getting

a group of friends together partaking in some

adult beverages and Doing a mystery science 3000

or theater 3000 with this one because showgirls

is freaking hilarious. It's so bad And actually

if you if you wanted to get really drunk you

can just drink every time that her character

Like pouts or or gets like there was a fit or

something like that. It's ridiculous You'll be

drunk by ten minutes in yeah, it's just so funny.

It's so bad. It's funny Kelly Kapowski, I remember

being so disappointed when I saw her show up

in her first role after the show I'm not trying

to be mean that was not the same Kelly that I

grew to love and I agree but Val in Beverly Hills

90210 from 1994 to 1998 it would again it was

such a departure just like Jesse between Bell

and showgirls, but I Loved the departure that

it took because yeah, she can act. Yeah, and

she's the whole idea They wanted to distance

themselves from being like the goodie goodies.

So I She's still hot, she's still attractive,

but I want my high school Kelly back. Okay, now

the other two for Kelly that I have to mention.

Actually, this next one ties into Beverly Hills

90210, because in that she starred alongside

Jenny Garth, who played Kelly Taylor. In 2003,

the very short -lived but awesome series Fastlane,

she starred as Wilhelmina Chambers with Jenny

Garth's husband, Peter Fastanelli. So that was

very cool. And Peter Fastinelli was also in two

different movies with Jennifer Love Hewitt, just

in case anybody cares. Yes, exactly. The most

recent thing that Tiffany has done was White

Collar. I caught her on that. Now, I caught White

Collar. It's a USA original series. I caught

it at the end of season two. I've tried going

back to the beginning of White Collar and watching

it. I can't get into it. But at like the middle

of season two is really where I picked up on

White Collar. And I absolutely love the show.

She plays FBI agent Peter Burke's wife. And she's

still as hot as she ever was. Yes. I want to

talk about - Whatever she's doing, she's doing

it right. I want to talk about Mr. Belding next.

He's not really doing much as far as like TV

or movies or anything like that. There are multiple

interviews of him that you can find on YouTube

and apparently he is a very frequent guest at

a karaoke bar type place, I believe it's in California,

where he'll actually sing the Safe by the Bell

theme song and he'll interact with fans. He,

out of all of them, embraced this show and understood

what it was and what it is to people and I really

like that and I understand that actors wanted

to distance themselves so they could have a future

career and not be typecasts, etc. But he actually

understood what it meant to people and embraced

that he got to be a part of something so epic.

And he has no problem talking about it. He has

no problem giving interviews about it. He has

no problem, you know, reliving it, singing the

theme song. And I just think it's very cool how

much he embraced the whole experience. So that's

my thoughts on Mr. Bell. And as far as Mario

Lopez, I mean, he is by far the most visible

out of the old cast because he has been everywhere.

I'll let Mike give a rundown of stuff he's been

on. One thing I need to bring up really quickly,

and I hate daytime TV sometimes, one of the things

I remember him on was the other half with Dick

Clark. I forget which network it was on, but

it's basically that network's answer to The View.

Yeah, I remember that. Sitting around a round

table. But Lopez, aka Slater, was in Nip Tuck.

He's in a bunch of reality shows, including his

own show, Mario Lopez Saved by the Baby. He's

a correspondent on Extra. He had his home gym

and they actually built a gym at the Extra Studios

for him on the Antonio Project, which is an HGTV

home makeover show. And he's also on America's

Best Dance Crew. Yeah, he is everywhere. Yeah,

he literally is. And he still looks the same.

Yeah, exactly. He still sounds the same. He and

Jessie are the only ones that actually look the

same. Well, Kelly does a little bit now. No,

Kelly looks completely different. No, she doesn't.

Yes, Kelly is not anywhere near the same as what

she was on Save by the Bell. Kelly and Zach are

completely different. Zach obviously had the

natural brown hair, but I remember the first

time ever seeing Zach. and it was before college

years or no I was at I don't remember if it was

before college years or after college years or

whatever and all of a sudden Zach weighed like

twice the amount that he did on Saved by the

Bell and there's nothing wrong with that but

it was just shocking to me to see Zach look so

different. What's shocking to me is to see how

the hell he wore his hair in the new class, but

we'll get that when we get to that episode The

thing about Zack is the thing about Mark Paul

Gosselaar Because my sister had a crush on him

big time and I remember her showing me a picture

of him all of a sudden like the first time it

was seen after Save the Bell and I was like Whoa,

who is that? That's not Zack See, that's the

thing. You know, you said a second ago, obviously

a lot of these actors wanted to get away from

their roles or to separate themselves. I'm sorry.

Mark Paul is not typecast as Zack, but everybody

remembers him as Zack. However, he just started

a new TNT original series, Franklin and Bash,

next to Breckenmire, which I had to do like a

quadruple take watching that first episode. I'm

like, wait. What's Zach doing as a lawyer? Okay,

this is kind of cool. He's also on TNT's Raising

the Bar. I want to talk about where I first saw

him after Saved by the Bell, and JT already brought

it up, was when he joined the cast of NYPD Blue.

If that's not a departure from what you're normally

used to doing and acting, I don't know what is.

From going from Mr. Belding to Andy Sipowicz's

ass, that's a big departure. Well, the other

thing I remember about him is when he showed

up as a guest on one of the Law and Orders. Yeah.

Oh man, the Law and Order Special Victims Unit,

he was a father. To this girl who was who had

some sort of disease But he and his wife were

in this porn industry that was run by gangsters.

Yes. It was crazy No, the one place I remember

seeing him is it's no secret that I like watching

bad movies for whatever reason. And this is back

in like the mid 90s when sci -fi was still sci

-fi and they actually did halfway decent sci

-fi stuff. They had this one called like fire

starter or something. He was like this guy who

was like Part alien, he had like pyrokinesis

and stuff like that. And I couldn't help but

think for years, I was like, why is this man

not Johnny Storm? Like the whole idea, because

seriously, you look at Zack, who's like this

very, you know, man about town, larger than life

personality, kind of in it for himself. Why did

they not cast this man as Johnny Storm? Because

Chris Evans did an excellent job with the role.

Yes, but he didn't have blonde hair. I'm sorry,

Mike, but if you're going to do the character,

do it right. Well, he got the personality right.

Yeah, yeah. It's just it might equip alongside.

But no, I remember seeing him and all that. Yeah.

And actually, it was the when he came on to NYPD

Blue. I had stopped. I had stopped and watched

the show for a while. And then he brought him

back. And I was like, oh, hey, Zach's on NYPD,

boy, I'll check it out. And that was the entire

reason I got into it. But then, you know, his

work on the show, I was really impressed with

it. So, you know, I stayed there till the end

of the series. So, yeah. And we do have one member

of the cast that we have not talked about. We

did mention a term earlier that kind of suits

this person. Crazy. Froot Loops. Dustin Diamond,

who was on this, on College of Years, on Safe

by the Bell, a new class, etc. couldn't get away

from it, because I think he wanted to be on this

show forever. He wanted it to go on forever.

But he has gone off the deep end. Sorry. He has

gone off the deep end. Not only has he obviously

been on all the different, what was it? Celebrity

Rehab or something, or Surreal Life, or what

the hell was he on? Yeah, I think he was on Surreal

Life. I don't play an asshole. Well, yeah. He

says he claims the producers told him to be an

asshole. We all kind of can probably see through

that and then he is actually crazy His the latest

thing he's done is written a so -called tell

-all book, which I believe is called something

like behind the bell In which he in an interview

that I listened to him and he has some very interesting

interviews on YouTube that you can watch he basically

is trying to dish all the dirt that happened

behind the scenes during Save by the Bell. He

tries to throw everybody under the bus. He tries

to talk about how bad all the different cast

members were, who was hooking up with who, who

was doing drugs, who was drinking, all this other

stuff. And all I can say is you got to take everything

he says with a grain of salt, because the man

will do anything to remain in the public's eye.

Guess so, but you take a look just like a picture

of this guy now like a headshot And you can see

the word squirrely going across his eyes because

this dude is just straight -up nuts I'm gonna

do it even just had a little like what was it

a porn? Yeah, you started put like the celebrity

sex tape out. Yeah Yeah, it's like You know as

you go down the ladder the last step before rock

bottom Yes. Celebrity sex tape. I mean, I guess

this is what can happen when you're three years

younger than your entire cast and it's time for

everybody to move on and you're not quite ready

to because this is all you've known. He could

almost, almost blame his parents, because let's

face it, all these kids, like they must have

had some, the rest of the cast must have had

some pretty good parents throughout the show.

Yeah, you got to give credit to the fact that

most of these actors are are well established

people because Look at any VH1 or e2 Hollywood

thing on child stars and a lot of them go off

the deep end Yeah, but I mean you look you that

like Mark Paul Gosselaar turned out good Tiffany

Thieson turned out good, you know Mario Lopez

Don't know what you know Lisa's done, but you

know Either she's doing it well or she just doesn't

care anymore. But I think she's a producer of

some sort now. Yeah, but I mean the only two

out of the cast the only two serious missteps

was well, you know Liz Berkeley doing showgirls

and even then that some people rebounded after

that Yeah, she totally rebounded and then you

know screech just you know what? I like the downward

spiral. I'm gonna stay the course He's just,

he couldn't adjust to life after Saved by the

Bell. Yeah. I was going to, I actually tried

looking up. I remember him having a cameo in

the 2001 movie, How High, and he had a quote

about Bell. It was one of those fourth wall,

it wasn't a fourth wall, but it was like, it

wasn't like Ferris Bueller, Zack Morris fourth

wall, it was fourth wall just like, Hey, aren't

you Dustin aren't you screech from oh, yeah that

that that shit it was like some quip about the

show and he claims to be a stand -up comedian

that has like years and years of experience and

stuff like that and And the stand -up comedy

that I've heard from him that I've been able

to find is terrible Yeah, and not good stand

-up comic and uh Honestly go search for him on

YouTube and just do like a dust -and -diamond

interview and that's all you search for within

minutes You will understand that this man has

lost his mind And I'm sorry there might be some

truth to a couple things he might say in that

book or whatever But really all he's trying to

do is get people to buy his book for those people

that are listening to telecast And for those

people who might have also listened to this week

in geek We need a new website for twig Dustin

Diamond has lost his mind dot com But yeah, I

mean lost his damn mind dot com There you go

I'm sure there was a few things that they did

the cast did that might have been questionable

or whatnot But but guess what? I'm guessing Dustin

Diamond wouldn't have even known because he probably

wasn't invited to some of the stuff that the

older cast members were going to and I just I

just very much question the validity of most

of his claims but That leads us to the few holdouts.

And I had mentioned I kind of threw Kelly under

the bus or Tiffany under the bus because she

wouldn't sign her contract to do those extra

episodes. And that kind of brings us to the Jimmy

Fallon thing. If you haven't seen Mark Paul Gosler's

clip of him on Jimmy Fallon as Zach. I tried

looking it up on YouTube. The only thing I can

find is like news broadcasts or great. Or clips

of Jimmy like at events and people asking him

about it. I have I'm gonna have to go on the

NBC website and I know he shows up in full gear.

Zach Morris gear. He does the time out. He has

the phone. He does everything perfect, almost

like it was yesterday. How much he remembers

how to do it. and you know obviously Jimmy Fallon

is on a mission to get he does reunions all the

time and he's trying to do a reunion of Saved

by the Bell and everybody has signed on except

for Kelly and Screech. Now obviously Screech

is not going to ever sign on for it because none

of the cast members outside of Mr. Belding, Dennis

Haskins, talked to Screech. Yeah, like he is

not on speaking terms with the cast so that even

then which that's that's kind of sad No matter

what happened to you during the show or during

the years after the show. I Mean to blame the

rest of the cast for not want to talk to him.

Well, no, no, I know I'm not saying that what

I'm saying in in Dustin's case specifically.

It's kind of sad that He can't put the differences

behind him or they can't put the differences

behind them just for even if it's like a an hour

reunion or 30 minute reunion or whatever I mean,

it's not like it has to be this big giant right,

you know what and one of the sad things is is

that he Valued the show so much and he was wanting

that show to go on I know this is true like I

know I'm speculating but I guarantee like he

wanted this show to go on forever and this is

The life he wanted to leave forever is like people

that can't deal with like life after football

or life after you know high school or something

like that and the fact that his The psychology

of him not being able to deal with it was to

then destroy it And destroy all the relationships

he had from it. It's just mind -boggling It's

mind -boggling and it's very sad and it's very

fucking pathetic. I'm sorry to say it is it's

very pathetic. I mean You know, you have, um...

The only example I can think of is, say, when

Wang Chung broke up, you know, 20 years later,

they got back together, they started recording

again, and they had a reunion. You know, just

put the shit behind you. I mean, get the fuck

over it. That's one thing that I love about the

TV land awards, when they have those cast reunions.

Oh, those are so awesome to see everybody together

and stuff like that. I love the TV land awards

just for that reason. But the other person that

won't sign up for it is Kelly and she claims

that she's too busy. That was the best video

ever. And she actually put a parody video out

there in response to Mark Paul Gosler being Zach

on Jimmy Fallon. And my thing is, if you had

time to put that video together, you had time

for a reunion. Yeah, she's on a TV series which,

you know, I'm pretty sure you could go in for

like a night. I mean, California Dreams did it,

Kelly. I don't understand why she won't. They

would do it without Screech. Right, right, they

would do it without Screech, but... You know,

in Tiffany's defense, you know, she does, she

actually, I'm not sure if this is correct or

not, we'll have to look it up after the show

or not, but I think she's also in production

work as well. I don't care much about that. I

know, I know like TV, everybody knows TV scheduling,

especially when you have a weekly TV series,

you have to film all kinds of scenes and stuff.

I guarantee she could find time. I'm sure she

could've. She just doesn't want to. Well, yeah.

I mean, you're also going to mention that Mr.

Belding, like every so often Dennis Askin shows

up on Jimmy Fallon talking about the whole reunion

thing, like the Cal, like, okay, he's trying

for the, for Saved by the Bell, he actually succeeded

with California Dreams, which we'll talk more

about in that episode. Jimmy Fallon's awesome.

Yeah. But the whole idea is like they get, you

know, we got the Jimmy's talk, we got the California

Dreams reunion. And then all of a sudden, here's

Dennis Haskins. Hey, hey, time for the reunion.

And he's just playing it like Mr. Belding. And

he's a complete lunatic, which was the best part

about it. Because even then, again, Dennis Haskins

embraced it and he has fun with it. Yes, which

is what everybody should do with something like

that. Exactly. But so that's where they are now.

And hopefully Jimmy Fallon one day will succeed.

But it is time for some commercial breaks and

you're going to get, like I said, some more of

those Saved by the Bell songs in it and some

Saved by the Bell goodness. So you're really

going to want to listen to this whole commercial

features on the season one and two box. And then

season five is three disc, 24 episodes, and it

has a DVD feature, including a tell -all documentary.

So you can get... Hosted by Dustin Diamond. No,

it's not. So you can get all five seasons on

DVD. You can get them for a fairly decent price.

And then the Hawaii made for TV movie and the

Las Vegas movie are together on one disc. And

you can get that probably for 10, 20 bucks somewhere,

too. Yeah. Mike, why don't you talk about Netflix

a little bit? This really like I like I've loved

Netflix instant for the last two months that

I've had it because a lot of shows I'm able to

catch up with I say constantly I'm in the middle

of doing a numbers season for series through

marathon, but Unfortunately, and this is a travesty.

This is I don't know I don't know how we can

get this to be corrective, but unfortunately

Saved by the bell or any of the saved series

are not on watched instantly. However, you can

get saved classic by DVD through the mail. Now,

let me say, me personally, because of the way

I get mail, I have no use for Netflix's DVD through

the mail service. Yeah, I love Netflix by the

mail. I just don't get it. It's so much better

to just have the instant service. No, I hate

watching stuff on my computer or on my phone

or something. I want it on my TV, and I like

the Netflix through the mail. How is Netflix,

because I have... You have to try it. Netflix

is great. Well, see, now there's a difference

here, JT. You live up there in Canada. So, you

know, it's one of those things where the Canada

version of Netflix is, it's kind of like iTunes.

The Canada version of Netflix is completely probably

different from the U .S. iTunes and U .S. Netflix.

The Watch Instantly subscription here in the

U .S. is only $8 a month. But then you have to

watch it on your damn computer. No, you don't

actually. You can watch it through your TV, your

Xbox, whatever. You can watch it through your

TV, you can watch it through... How do you watch

it through your TV? I'm stupid. I'll look it

up and tell you later. I don't have any video

game system, so... I'll look it up and I'll tell

you later about watching through your TV. I know

you can't if you have a Wii or you have Xbox.

Right, a Wii or an Xbox. Or, I know even though

you don't like this, Kevin, for JT... You can

also watch it on your phone because both iPhone

and Android have Netflix apps that are free because

if you're obviously if you're already paying

Netflix They're not gonna you know charge you

again for the application for your phone. So

so so far you can either You can watch it on

TV. You can buy the DVDs. You can do it on Netflix

through the mail You can also do it on iTunes

it is but only season ones available on iTunes

It's either $9 .99 for the entire season or 99

cents for an individual episode. I'm not sure

why they don't have the rest of the seasons but

season one is available on iTunes. And those

are all good options and thank God all those

options are out there because YouTube hardly

has anything. YouTube sucks for sure. A lot of

the YouTube stuff has been taken down or blocked

out etc by you know NBC or whoever it is. There

is a few episodes here and there that you can

find and if you go to Google and do a video search

for certain episodes you can find them through

other websites. But you really don't need to

go this back door route when it's available in

so many other ways. There is Save by the Bell

Tube, the user that has some... That personally

has all 13 episodes of Good Morning Miss Bliss.

But they also have Say By The Bell episodes.

Right, but it's like three or four. It's not

a lot of them. But I don't know. I suggest just

get it on DVD. It's cheap enough. Go to Amazon

and get it on DVD. Which brings us right into

our ratings, and I'll start off because this

is an obvious four for me. I don't own it yet.

I've put it on my Christmas list for the last

like... 10 years, I swear to God, and nobody

will buy it for me. So eventually I'm just going

to buy it myself. But I will own all of these

on DVD because this is one of my favorite series

of all time. Yeah. It's one of the few shows

from my youth that I'm actively trying to collect.

Yes. So I give it a four. JT. A four. A fucking

four. Like, everybody gives us a four, right?

We don't even need to do this. Yeah, no, this.

All right. This is one of the greatest shows

of our generation. Those of you that don't know.

This is one of the greatest kids shows of our

generation, that's hands down. Yep. Alright,

last words. Let's start with JT. One of the best

shows I've ever watched as a kid. Greatest theme

song of all time. Kelly Kapowski is a goddess.

I think that about covers it. Alright. Yeah,

I agree. Moving on. Okay, you don't have any

other last words, Mike? Honestly just wish Douchebag

diamond would just get off his high horse and

literally high horse Yeah You know and and and

just you know make peace with everybody. Yeah

No matter how much no matter how 90s this show

is in both graphics style Sound etc. I don't

even care This show, the rewatchability level

is through the roof. Oh, yeah. You can watch

this show over and over again. You can watch

episodes over and over again. I mean, I probably

have seen every episode a half dozen, if not

a dozen times. You can quote episodes. You can

sing the songs for word. I mean, this show will.

And it's not just. Our generation, though. I

have students. That watch the show every morning

before school and this is what 15 20 years since

it was on live This is another one of those shows

and we're gonna be definitely getting into this

in future seasons of telecast This is another

one of those classic shows that Like Transformers

G1 like GI Joe real American hero. Yes. I know

I'm quoting cartoons here But you know, this

is another one of those shows late 80s early

90s that is just timeless, classic, and people

that grew up with it will show it to their kids

and so on and so forth. It just, it is just that

awesome. I mean, it's literally been two decades

and kids are still discovering this and falling

in love with it that are growing up today. Yeah,

and it holds up like very well, like not really

well, but compared to a lot of other kid shows

of this genre that are out to date, you know,

it's... It stands kind of head and shoulders

above a lot of them. This is the show that every

other kids sitcom tries to be. Like I said before,

this is an escape for people that are in high

school. This is what people that are in high

school now want their high school to be like.

Or their junior high or whatever. Well... No,

I mean no classic they were in high school, right?

I mean, I know but you can picture this as a

junior high, right? Yeah Yeah, I mean you could

picture as both what I'm saying is this is how?

Anybody over the last 20 30 years, you know wouldn't

want their high school to be you know That's

just the way it is It's the best way to sum it

up is as far as kids sitcom goes as this is often

Imitated but never duplicated. Yeah Like, there's

never been another one. Many have tried. I'm

glad that this is the Josie and the Pussycats

version of this. Many have tried, many have failed.
