About this Episode

TFG1Mike and TV’s Mr. Neil conclude their series review by diving into the final four episodes of the Legend of Zelda cartoon: "A Hitch in the Works," "Fairies in the Spring," "The Missing Link," and "The Moblins are Revolting." They discuss Ganon’s bizarre schemes, the animation choices, and the surprising character development in the series finale.

Like animation come listen to animation aficionados

and if you disagree with us you could be a guest

on a future show available on iTunes the Zune

market and animation aficionados calm This is

the Triforce of wisdom link the evil wizard Ganon

has the Triforce of Power Hey, for you Selva,

anything! You're right! I'm real Mary Gannon.

LET THE CEREMONY BEGIN! Hello and welcome to

the latest episode of Pixels and the Animation.

I am one of your hosts, TFT and Mike, and joining

me in this epic journey concluding in Hyrule

is TV's Mr. Neel! Without a fairy, you're not

even a real man. That's not exactly the quote

that was springing to mind Oh boy, so this is

it the final four episodes of the Legend of Zelda

cartoon I cannot believe it It's only 13 episodes

I know I know I just Wish it was longer. But

now that I I thought of that today when I was

watching these final episodes I'm like, oh If

only this series had gone on to be longer and

then I'm thinking oh no, they'd inevitably screw

it up Yeah, you wouldn't want 52 episodes of

Zelda Well, there would be a wrapping episode

Well, the way I was looking at it was as the

games come out you could mirror Different plot

lines like I would have loved to have seen these

characters do a link to the past That would have

been cool But then but then like with the very

next game then suddenly you'd have a cartoon

where Where link is having a dream and he's trying

to wake up a giant whale Yeah, that's links awakening

people Oh boy. So yeah, we're here for the final

four episodes of Legend of Zelda. This has really

been a fun ride. It really, really has on this

one. It's gonna be interesting to see where we

go after this when we get sucked into the ultimate

warp zone. But for now, we're gonna deal with

what we have to deal with. After this, we will

get to the first episode. So far so good. Now

if I can just make it across the courtyard. And

just where do you think you're going? Just getting

ready to oil the gate hinges. With a fishing

rod? Princess no Ganon hasn't attacked in weeks

and it's time you started earning your keep There's

chores to be done, but that's the castle handyman's

job doofs got enough to do Which is obviously

not your problem now move Yes, maybe once your

chores are done now get going First up today

is a hitch in the works. With little activity

from Ganon's minions, Link is assigned to do

chores as usual. Let me see here. Is this the

one where he's actually trying to sneak off and

go fishing? Link is assigned to chores by the

princess the castle handyman doof magically animated

a golem made of Various odds and ends to help

with chores, but the self admittedly poor magic

user watches as it runs wild Moblins attack and

as link fights them off the golem falls on him

and knocks him unconscious When Zelda finds him

napping She doesn't believe his story, and Link

convinces Doof to make fake Moblins to attack

Zelda and trick her into letting him out of chores.

But she overhears his plan. When real Moblins

attack and confuse everyone, they kidnap the

princess and take her to Ganon, who has made

a collar that compels Zelda to do his bidding,

including marrying him. Doof. Yeah, that's the

first time in the last time we ever see doof

I think in an episode later He is mentioned but

like this is the only time I've ever seen that

guy. Yeah Because last time I said, oh, well,

it's just the King Zelda Lincoln and sprite There's

four people or three and a half that live there

Although the first episode we did see a castle

town. So apparently there are people there but

Right there's other people in Hyrule, but there's

like four three and a half four people that live

in the castle Yeah, the actual castle This episode

I Don't the plot to this I don't see why Ganon

is Jumping over into the DC universe and pulling

a hat out of super friends dark side Bag of tricks

because that's all dark side ever wanted to do

in in the old super friends cartoons was either

get in Wonder Woman's pants or marry her and

Then get in Wonder Woman's pants But you know

in some respects I'm like, well, this is this

is one of his best plans ever cuz who wouldn't

want to marry Zelda on the other hand You know,

I was thinking in in what way would this he would

be legally binding. I mean this Who would recognize

this marriage? Oh, you're married to Zelda who

presided over it the grim reaper get out of here

you're not the king shut up the sad thing is

when i was watching this back i'm like hey wait

where are billy and mandy oh way too soon for

that series this was the goofiest grim reaper

i've ever seen yeah googly eyes you gotta get

a picture of him Will I forget what's even what

is even gonna be in episodes episode 19's post?

Let me look here. Oh Yeah Actually, you missed

one. I missed one you got one, but you missed

one your your Facebook post Yeah about the bathing

suit. I found another when she's sliding down

the slide. Oh, okay Yeah Yeah, those are two

out of the oh the third one is Link heroically

catching Zelda Dianne when she gets scared of

the fake Moblin Alright, let's go find some wisdom

a lesson with the Triforce of Wisdom, yay. I'm

a hero, not a handyman. Yikes, the robot rampages

and the sad thing is I could hear Mega move the

whole time that robot was rampaging, I heard

that in the back of my head. The funny thing

is the robot, I don't know if they, I don't know

if the animators intentionally did this. It kind

of reminds me of Mac, Rosie's love interest from

the Jetsons. Oh, I had that exact same note.

I'm like, it's kind of like that thing that was

made out of the filing cabinet from the Jetsons.

God damn it. Yeah, yeah, I was thinking that

the whole time. That's some powerful magic there

Ganon not even the genie could do that Right

making Zelda basically fall in love with them.

Yeah And that flying dragon head was a little

strange and creepy all the It's I forget what

name it's the three -headed dragon from the first

Zelda game and that actually does happen But

it just comes off weird in the cartoon Yeah it's

just it doesn't work right what'd you like about

this one um well i was gonna say the the big

silly robot although they called him a they called

him a golem in the in the synopsis i always thought

the golems were made of stone and clay but i

i don't know yeah he's more like a clockwork

robot too bad he wasn't orange oh come on else

um the doof basically doof is i like the name

doof and i like his attempt at making a a moblin

it's just like this stuffed animal toy and it

bounces a couple times it falls apart like what

what is your role here in the castle do well

i make things that that fall apart yeah He's

supposed to be the handyman though. He's supposed

to be the guy that does all the chores so link

doesn't have to You know honestly Well later

in the episode we get your ratings. I'm probably

not gonna give this a five but at the same time

I Honestly didn't find a whole lot wrong with

this one. No It was a it was really really fun.

It was really really funny at times It was delightfully

stupid Yes And it's a damn shame that Doof didn't

have the internet back then because he could

go online and print out a fake certificate saying

he was a doctor Dr. Doof All right, so I think

we're just gonna skip the Triforce of Power this

time around and head on to the next episode unless

you have anything bad you want to say about this

No, no Let's get to the springing fairies, yay.

Uh, almost. There are a few provisos, a couple

of quid pro quos. Like? Uh, rule number one?

I can't kill anybody. Yeah, so don't ask. Rule

number two? I can't make anybody fall in love

with anybody else. You little punum there. Rule

number three? I can't bring people back from

the dead. It's not a pretty picture. I don't

like doing it! Other than that, you got it. Phew,

wee! Phew! It certainly is hot today, isn't it,

Daddy? Eh, what? Oh, yes, I'm hot, most certainly.

Still, my royal water park should be completed

soon. Then all the kingdom will have a place

to cool off and have fun. Sprite! Sprite's on

vacation, remember? oh yes i forgot but you'll

be back for the opening of my water park fairies

like water i wonder how the work is going up

next is fairies in the spring oh boy you know

what i'm noticing here on uh on wikipedia is

that the uh The production codes are very different

from the actual episodes. Well that happens a

lot. They show them out of order. Yeah, that's

true. So for fairies in the spring, the King

is having a water park constructed to help his

subjects cool off in the summer heat. When water

monsters attack the construction crew, Zelda

and Link investigate but are startled to find

the water monster doesn't belong to Ganon. When

the king arrives to check their progress, and

while inspecting the pools of the water park,

another monster pulls him in and vanishes. The

pair collect the Triforce of Wisdom and return

to the water park to find the king and the source

of the disturbances. This is, of course, the

only episode that does not feature Ganon. Soon

as I started watching this episode as soon as

Harkinian mentioned the water park I'm like,

oh no, not this this is probably the one episode

out of all 13 that I just don't give a crap I

Don't know I just This is the lamest You want

to talk about convenient for the plot Well the

construction workers they they tapped into an

underground river and it turns out to be the

fairy spring What did you think of the blot Kind

of dumb. I mean it was without without Ganon

I kind of like that they tried to do something

without Ganon, but it was kind of pointless and

dumb and Didn't really go anywhere Yeah, I mean

it kind of like I guess you could say it was

a one two three Mike Tyson knockout because They

hit you at the beginning they jab you in the

middle and they kick you in the crotch in the

end then bite your ear off I Knew that was coming

Alright, let's go see what we can find for for

wisdoms for the fairies. As you can see, I'm

all wet. Speaking of all wet, where's our local

hero? He should be hearing this. Tada! You called

for a hero princess? Yes, but I guess you'll

have to do. Link, the crew building my father's

waterpark was attacked by monsters. You got any

ideas? Sure! Show me these monsters. I'll zap

them for ya. Good boy. Let's go. Alright, getting

some wisdom. This is the second time in the series

that Link is underwater. This is also the first

time in the series that Zelda is actually...

underwater and i don't mean she just you know

we just threw her in she got all wet i find it

interesting that they did something with the

characters that probably at the time the games

were doing i don't think the games could do it

actually with the graphics back then but uh...

let's see oh god link getting electrocuted yes

couldn't have it to a nicer guy It's in the wrong

place to be for that to happen. Underwater. I

know. That's probably why it lasted so long.

The other thing I was going to say is, so this

is the fun episode. After a while, I'm like,

okay, I know what's going on here. I remember

this episode. Can we please move on? What did

you like about this one? Hot bathing suit Zelda.

Yeah, I will I will obviously I will agree hot

bathing suit Zelda. I was like, oh there we go

freeze frame Like someone had fun drawing that

this was drawn very well Yes, yes it was You

know, there's only a few times in the entire

series where I think she's off model. I guess

is the best It's certain ways that the animation

is done where she doesn't look as... I don't

want to say proper, but she doesn't look as pixelated

as she should. Or she doesn't look like how she's

supposed to look. Like in the opening of the

cartoon where she lands in the water and she

sticks her head out and says, nice job, hero.

That's actually one of the worst drawings of

her. Whereas here... She is totally on model.

Yeah, she is totally on model here, but I'm talking

about like in some of the other episodes where

And I God I hate to say this be to two episodes

in a row or My dirty mind gets the better of

me where I've noticed when she's been off model

or the animation is weird on her character is

I hate to say this but When a certain angle is

taken her pants look all bunched up. Yeah, yeah,

they kind of do. So and as far as the the bad

moments, even though I'm like, oh crap, I remember

this episode. It's. It's not as bad as I thought,

it's just one of those ones where it's like,

oh no, they're really because OK, sure I get

it. arkinian wants to be a good king i get that

he wants to you know help his subjects but as

soon as i heard waterpark i'm like oh god no

thank god back in the eighties i don't think

six flags was around because it would be six

flags over hyrule did you have any bad points

to point out um you know what yeah the title

it gives so gives the plot away because The payoff

is that they've actually tapped into a fairy

spring. I'm like, oh, that's actually something

that's in the game. I would never have thought

of that, had it not been the title of the damn

cartoon. Yeah, that is true. All right. So once

again, we're just going to move on to the next

one, because like I said, outside of, oh crap,

I remember this. I didn't really write anything

down for. for bad moments, so Second to last

episode coming up next is the subtitle to the

sequel of the set the second game the missing

link or no wait wasn't the which one was it because

the Game Boy version that had the missing link

as a subtitle or was it the NES because I think

I thought the NES was none of them did I don't

there's no game called missing link yeah there's

links awakening which is the Game Boy one and

there's then there's Zelda 2 the adventure of

length Through Link's and Zelda's magical weapons

can dispel Ganon's monsters back to the underworld,

Ganon has a new wand that can do the same to

regular people. Ganon assaults the castle, intent

on capturing Zelda for ransom, but during the

battle Link is zapped instead. After Ganon escapes,

Zelda realizes Link's body was captured, but

his spirit remained with her. The two make their

way to the underworld to recover his body. So,

the plot of this cartoon is that Ganon has the

wand of Gamelon, and with Link out of commission,

it becomes Zelda's adventure. Yep. Pretty much.

Oh, man. This should, like... For me personally,

and I'll say this again next time in episode

20, they should have flip -flopped this episode

of the Moblins are revolting. Because this to

me is a better, technically since it didn't get

any more episodes after Moblins, this to me is

a better series finale than Moblins. I mean Moblins

is an okay, and we'll get to it here in a few

minutes, I mean Moblins is an okay episode, but...

This had everything you could want in a finale

type episode Revelation that you know Zelda lit

some part of her loves link We probably won't

go into great detail of which parts but Which

again she does get to play with the sword this

episode Speaking of which is you're something

I started noticing on the episode. What was that?

The hottest thing is stinger There's a lot of

there's a lot of sword twirling in this cartoon.

Yes, there is Including this one even Zelda she

picks up link sword and then immediately twirls

it for all that Maybe they were going for some

wild wild west twirling gunmen or something.

Yes, so it's like does everyone know that trick

apparently What did you think of the plot of

missing link? Oh kind of sweet in a way, but

also kind of silly Yeah, I mean it's just like

a vehicle to get to the point where We're getting

here's the thing. It's Ganon who reveals it.

He's like. Oh, no that means that she loves him

No, like why is Ganon the one who gets the to

explain that I was such a that's such a weird

choice It was a weird choice, but it's I think

it's because of the fact that Ganon is secretly

Hyrule's version of Darkseid It's like he knows

he has competition now Yeah Yeah, and just watch

that scene again and just listen to the just

the incredulous look and and sound in his voice

because he's like oh no that must mean he's like

damn it damn it damn it damn it yeah he's really

upset about it yeah he really is oh man and this

was the one episode i did not mind all of the

uh kiss me tropes because this is obviously it's

links spirit and he He doesn't realize it but

Zelda does and I kind of liked it. I don't know

I thought that was pretty cool part of the plot

I thought it was another cool thing about the

plot is how they do the exposition where I Guess

the writers because I think it was Bob forward

that did the writing on this episode. I think

he did almost all, I think he did all 13 episodes

or at least a good majority of them. The way

it's written is only Zelda can see and hear Link,

but everyone else can hear Link when he speaks.

And I'm thinking, no, I guess in a way... you

need to have everybody else here and so people

don't think zelda's crazy and nuts and needs

to be in a mental institution but i'm thinking

also thing on the other side of that is no don't

let other people hear him just you know i don't

know that was a little weird to me since you

would have preferred uh... zelda as played by

demi more and uh... link as played by uh... god

damn it so don't say michael douglas no no no

not michael douglas god damn it patrick swazee

Oh, okay. Yeah. For a second there, I thought

we were getting a little bit too disclosury on

that one. No, no. All right. Anything else on

the blog? Not really. Just one comment on the

animation. Not really like a bad thing, so I'm

just going to say it here. It's like, did you

happen to catch the weird strobing on Zelda when

she first tried to touch Link? Yeah. Yeah, that

was bizarre. Otherwise that effect was done really

well him being in the same space as her while

also being partially invisible Yeah All right,

we're gonna go find some wisdom Give me the Triforce

Princess. Come and get it, Pigface! Oh, I could,

but why work so hard? You will bring me that

Triforce Princess, or you'll never see Apprentice

Link again! hear a story from the Triforce of

Wisdom. Oh no, Link got zapped! First time that's

really happened. I mean, like, really zapped.

Like, poof, be gone, zapped. That's the first

time that's happened in the cartoons. And I knew

Zelda loved Link, at least, you know, in some

way or another. And this just goes to show you

again that this whole storyline, even though

Ganon reveals it, because he's so jealous or

whatever. It just goes to show you that this

episode should have been the final one. I really

like the animation in this one. The magic, like

the giant blast. It's not often, and I'm sure

in animation it's done a lot, but it's not often

that I see, unless it's something like Batman

the Animated Series or some super high, I don't

wanna say high gloss, but high gloss animation.

It's not often that you can do a rock bash as

well as this did three different times. The only

thing is, and I'm thinking it would be more so

if the energy ball dissipated every time it bounced

off a castle wall, it probably would have given

away the fact that it had gotten weakened. Because

Zelda comes to the realization later. Oh the

blast was weakened so it didn't zap all of link

I Find it funny that they have Lincoln Zelda's

position in this episode as far as his body goes

Several like side shots of him are what I've

seen of Zelda in the games Well a couple of times

like when she's laid out on whatever table again

or whoever the hell lays her out on oh Yeah,

okay, yeah Let's see what else You know overall

we're really fun enjoyable episode to watch I

wish if the series had continued that they would

have built on this storyline now I know when

we get to video land There will be the potion

of power episode. So there is that but I Don't

know. What do you like about missing link? Um,

I like that it it showed It showed Zelda actually

or actually didn't show her basically ratted

her out as being in love with link and link immediately

rubbing it in It was like so Yeah You know, when

he got zapped, even though we knew he didn't

die, but when he got zapped, it was actually

pretty traumatic if you didn't really see what

was coming, because it looked like he really

bought the farm. It's something that you wouldn't

expect to see in an afternoon syndicated cartoon,

because it wasn't bloody or anything. It was

just him screaming in pain and then disappearing.

you're like oh no you die yeah yeah so that that

was kind of uh that was kind of cool that they

actually got away with it even though it wasn't

really all that violent it was still kind of

uh shocking that that would happen yeah yeah

it was it really really was and again it just

goes to show you like when When these animators,

I'm not saying they don't try in most episodes,

but when they really, really put their minds

at doing something well, they do it well. Everything

with Ganon here, everything with Zelda and Link.

Thankfully, I don't remember, because I would

have written it down for a bad point if it did

happen. It might have happened at the very end,

but thankfully Sprite was missing the entire

episode. See, you couldn't do that crap with

Toad. You couldn't just throw him away like a

stale mushroom, which kind of sucks. Yeah, I

like that. At the halfway point, or not really

halfway, it's like the first 30 episode, the

sprite shows up and Zelda's immediate like, here,

take the Triforce, get out of here. Yeah. Go

hang out with Toad. Oh yeah, that's right. Yeah,

she did. She was in this because she took the

Triforce back to the castle. Yeah. Okay, yeah

cookie code company Yeah Go spend some time with

your husband there fairy princess. No I Have

no bad notes about this one. Do you have any

bad notes about this one? I just have two and

both are in the same scene that seemed the showdown

and that's that's in the that's in the castle

courtyard first of all, it's kind of I don't

know I thought it was kind of weird that after

Link got zapped away like suddenly Ganon didn't

think to use the staff anymore he was just like

he's just like uh oh Link is gone well he'll

surrender the triforce to me the triforce and

the kingdom to me princess and then he just kind

of like walked away I'm like well you you could

have tried I mean I know she was blocking it

but you could have tried harder and then the

other thing is that right there ruining all the

good animation in the scene are the god damn

staff I was looking as stupid as ever like they

were drawn so badly yeah like here's this well

animated scene and they just look horrible why

is it every time I see them carrying Ganon's

throne I think they're carrying a coffin they

look like pallbearers is what they look like

it's like oh my god All right, we're gonna move

on to the final episode of the series final episode

of the day. I'll be back in a moment Alright

folks, this is it because the Moblins are revolting.

They truly, truly are. Ganon demonstrates a new

wand that makes a bubble around its victim. Oh

god, why am I flashing to five years earlier?

It is a zero -G bubble, he -man! Oh, exactly

what this is. that can only be popped by the

Triforce of Power. Okay now, I have a quote,

before we even really finish this plot synopsis,

this bubble can only be popped by the Triforce

of Power. So you're telling me if they brought

the Triforce of Wisdom into the Underground and

Ganon's bubble just magically touched it, it

would not pop? Really? I guess not. But worse

than that, this is stupid even by... Cartoon

supervillain standards. I mean if if Cobra commander

heard this he'd be like are you fucking kidding

me? I mean you made something that your own magic

cannot even destroy Yeah, pretty much Fed up

with Ganon's orders a moblin uses the wand to

trap Ganon in a bubble and throws him down a

bottomless pit Okay, where's Castle Grayskull

when you really need it because holy crap It's

He -Man meets Zelda right now, I guarantee you

it. Let's find out if Bob forward worked on He

-Man. I don't think he did. He might have? I'm

not sure. The Moblin opens the evil jar and the

monsters collectively decide to storm the castle

of Hyrule. But are too incompetent to accomplish

anything without Ganon's leadership. Yep, now

that was funny. The best scene in the whole in

the whole cartoon was all of the All of the kind

I can't think of their names the fish people

They all have the logs and they're trying to

ram the gate, but they're like yards away And

they're they're charging at it and by the time

they get there. They're all out of breath Yep

Yeah, well He wrote part of one of your least

favorite things. The Christmas special. Says

he was a writer on Secret of the Sword and Princes

of Power. So he was around. Yeah, he was around.

Now yeah, because Yeah, because he was one of

those because he and Larry I'm Larry de Tileo

Did Beast Wars together because Bob wrote 17

episodes of Beast Wars? So there is that You

know, I I like Bob he's a he's a cool guy he's

an interesting forward You know, he's an interesting

why the hell did I say he's an interesting writer?

God damn it. I am so losing my mind tonight.

Oh Christ The hell are we I don't even know anymore

are we on was yeah, we're on wisdom aren't we

are we still in the plot? I think we're still

in the plot. It's still oh my god. We're still

in the plot uh... there's a there's a lot of

nights ladies and gentlemen the tfg and mike

has been awake far too long uh... the plot is

good it's funny it's and i don't mean good as

in oh my god it's the best thing ever again like

i said i think if you switch this in missing

links order of air date or order of production

or whatever so missing link was the series finale

and not this i mean this offers good comedic

SNL type humor. I could see the heads of Chevy

Chase, Bill Murray. I could see all those guys

and some of these villains. Any other thoughts

on the plot? Nothing that I don't intend on mentioning

in the stuff I like, so let's just move on to

that. Alright. It's all I can recover from this.

to magic and completely indestructible! Amazing,

master! Is Bubble really indestructible? Except

for this! Once again, my plan is perfect! Alright,

let's get some wisdom. The beginning scene is

like the best scene. Yes. Battle Link claims

he won without ever having to do anything. Yes.

These stupid moblins and guerrillas break into

his bedroom and they basically trip over each

other and end up... defeating each other. And

I love that the Moblins are wearing black in

broad daylight. Yeah. Oh, boy. And there's no

security at this at this castle because they

actually do get in. I know, you know, we we've

said, well, you said before there was a castle

town or there's some town around the castle.

Well, there's like a wall around the castle itself,

but there's also a town in there, I think. And

that's how it is in the games, too. Some of them,

anyway. Yeah. You'd think some of these people

would see moblins and guerrillas swinging, at

least the guerrillas, swinging in to the castle

like Tarzan. I don't know. They're dressed like

ninjas. They can't see them. Inja strike hard

fade away without a trace they certainly did

that Yeah, oh boy again and really stepped in

at this time didn't they yes, I That is something

I did not even with the Moblin and the guerrillas

failure. That's something I did not see like

It wasn't as shocking as some other stuff in

other cartoons, but it's like, you know, it wasn't

as shocking as, oh my god, they killed Optimus

Prime. You know, it wasn't as shocking as that,

but it's just one of those things where even

though I knew the episode title, I didn't see

that Moblin just take the, I don't know, I didn't

see that coming. It's a villain party yay Yeah,

I like how it immediately became a frat party

like okay. Let's redecorate here. They move the

evil jar Yeah, let's move it to another chamber

Thank God this cartoon happened before the Macarena

because they'd all been doing the Macarena. Oh,

no I know right. Yeah, that would be really evil

the lead moblin was really good and then they

really had to ruin everything it's just i don't

know any other things that you liked about this

one um just that just that it was an overall

gag episode it was just like tons of tons of

gags about how how incompetent the Moblins are

and all the other villains they just they end

up beating each other while they're trying to

get into the castle and and even even how Ganon

gets free is a gag because because Zelda and

Link try to go get the Triforce of Power and

they're they basically won and then Link starts

messing around because they they meet Ganon but

Ganon's still stuck in the bubble and and and

Link starts throwing them around like a beach

ball and Well, wouldn't you know he lands on

the Triforce of Power, and that's that. What

just kind of disturbed me about Link is that

he starts worrying about how he might be out

of a job if they get the Triforce of Power, and

then they accidentally free Ganon, and then at

the end of the episode he's like, well, at least

I still have a job. I'd be like, oh my god, you

are so fired. The job thing, that's not even...

Even if they had both Triforces, he would still

have to guard both Triforces to make sure Gan

never got it back again. And besides, somebody's

gotta fill the lamps and fix the drawbridge and

everything. I mean, you saw what he was doing

in the other episode. He'd become the handyman.

He'd be... He and Doof would be partners. Oh

boy. Uh, you know, and that's the other thing

is like... One thing about this cartoon and again,

I'm sure you'll inform me because it's been a

very very long time since I at least played the

first two games In the first game was it always

three zaps Gannon's? defeated it was No, it well

technically yes, but not with the sword What

happens is you show up in Gannon's chamber and

he's invisible and you basically have to stab

in the dark until you actually hit him Then when

he finally appears and is stunned you have to

hit him three times with the arrow Right. Okay.

Yeah, cuz that's the similar thing with the link

to the past and similar to that. Yeah, but And

that's like I Get it was a I believe it was a

weekly cartoon When it ran I could be wrong,

but I believe it was weekly. It might have been

it might have actually been daily I know it wasn't

it was weekly because it was every Friday. Yeah.

Yeah Jesus Christ, I can't think tonight. It

was every Friday. So it was a weekly cartoon

and I guess you couldn't really have Ganon Be

dead other than you know outside of the fact

of all the sensors wouldn't like that No, you

can't slaughter a pig and make hot dogs No pig

roast tonight folks That happens in illusion

of Gaia video game joke folks go play that game

That's all folks You know I just wish there was

something that Okay, sure the Moblin sending

him down a Bottomless bottomless pit was interesting,

but I just wish that there was something more

that happened again and other than oh Blast me

three times, I just go into my own evil jar and

then I can get out in an episode. Yeah. I don't

know. You're basically sending him to his room.

Yeah. And then not to jump too far ahead into

Captain N, but then Captain N. I like that episode,

don't get me wrong, but that is the most insulting

way to Stargannon. Jara Piggles, oh my god Alright

As far as the Triforce of Power the bad stuff

God the Moblins are so dumb So dumb And none

of the other minions actually listen to the lead

Moblin, you know, you already mentioned about

Them trying to storm the castle, you know ten

-feet away from the door yeah uh... like when

the how they get rid of the scepter is at a stupid

it's like now don't drop it what i said drop

it there's a go okay then they drop the separate

that's the last time you see it in the episode

let's see i was wondering about that though because

usually most of the tropes in these types of

cartoons with a scepter or wand or whatever that's

made something once you destroy that it unmakes

it the wand got destroyed and yet Ganon still

was in the bubble and I know he said that oh

only the Triforce of Power can can free me but

you would think if the thing projecting the original

spell was destroyed that he would still be falling

to his doom without being able to Cast his own

bubble, but I guess if he was out of the bubble

he would be able to use his own magic again,

so I still I know we're in the triumph of the

power points, but I still love the Ganon he's

like oh, I have to remember. I can't do that

Really stupid in this episode he keeps zapping

himself Yeah, yes all right well That's going

to do it for Zelda. We're going to take a quick

ad break, come back with final thoughts and ratings,

and then close the show after this. We'll be

back in a moment. Zella, come on. We're getting

out of here. No, I'm married again. What? Are

you nuts? She is under my control, hero. And

that's for you. Sheesh, you'd think I was destroyed

or something. Link? Link! What? I can see you,

but I can't feel you. A drag, I know. I seem

to have gotten a bit ghostly after that zap of

Ganon's. The zap, of course. All that bouncing

around it did must have weakened it before it

hit you. Oh, it got your body, but not your spirit.

Can't you see him? No. Is he hiding? I'm right

here. Oh. Huh? Where'd he go? I heard him, but

I don't see him. That's strange. I wonder if

I'm the only one who can see him. That'd be your

lucky day, Princess. That's not what I'd call

it. But we've got to get your body back from

Ganon. Don't tell me you only love me for my

body. Huh? It's just that without your body you're

even more useless than usual. Maybe he'll eat

less. Now that would be a blessing. Take the

Triforce back to the vault, will you, Sprite?

I can't pick up my sword. And Ganon's got my

body. What am I gonna do? Only thing we can do.

Get it back. My heroic princess, kiss me. Oh,

shut up. Let's go. Alright, we are back. And

for the ratings, Hitchin' the Orcs, what are

you gonna give it? I'm gonna give it a 3. It

wasn't a terrific episode, but it wasn't bad

either. It was watchable. Yeah, I'm right there

with you. I'll give it a 3 as well. I really

liked it. I liked a lot of the things with the

makeshift... Rosie's boyfriend robot For a while

there I thought I Thought I was watching a robot

version of sword in the stone cheese with the

the dishwashing and the ma in the Pogo sticking

mop robot fairies in the spring That one I'm

also gonna give a three. I mean it was kind of

a dumb episode, but it got Saved by a bathing

suit, I guess I'll give it a four just to just

an extra point for that for both bathing suit

shots Missing link I'll give that a four. It

was it was really amusing Kind of kind of a good

relationship episode. It's like the only one

that really Moves the character development along

all 12 other episodes. Don't do squat in that

department Yeah Yeah, yeah, I agree, but I'm

gonna give it a five I really well You know There

are certain things that I did nitpick about it,

but I can still overlook those and still really

enjoy the episode Originally, I don't even think

I gave Doppelganger a five. I just found so many

things wrong with that episode as far as some

of the animation style and stuff, but with here,

everything about this episode is good. There

are little tiny nitpicks, but other than that,

what about those revolting Moblins? This I'll

also give a four. Again, very amusing episode.

I feel... Want to be cautious about giving anything

a five because I know a better cartoon is coming

up So that's probably gonna get a lot of fives

so So this one's gonna get a four pretty good

episode very funny Yeah, I'm right there with

you the comedy in this with the henchmen is just

absolutely awesome, so I'll give it a four as

well What's coming up over on animation aficionados?

Well, let's see, we have a Star Trek episode

that should have been, yeah, it should be up

by, well, it should have been up way a long time

ago by the time you listened to this. Let's see,

we have something about French anime that is

probably also released by now. Sacre bleu. Sacre

bleu. A ble du fromage? I don't recall if we

have anything after that. Yeah, I don't know.

There's also another podcast that Ben's doing

with JT from Saskatoon that's called Comic -Con

of Sewers that I appear on a few episodes and

they're basically just talking about comics and

stuff. So that's kind of fun. It's in the same

feed, so just listen to that as a supplementary

podcast. What's going on with Decian? Well, chapter

9 is going and there's a lot of fighting and

a lot of... Major plot twist coming up or God,

I don't know when this is coming. It might have

happened already, but I'm probably not so yeah,

just Just keep your eyes peeled on that and it

should be ending around Christmas Alright, thank

into the Triforce, so... He got into Zelda's

Triforce. There's a rim shut up when you really

the foolish princess is attempting a rescue,

is she? Yes, and Link is with her. What? Impossible!

Link is right there! I heard his voice, Abel

Des, and Zelda seemed to be able to see him,

though I could not. Then that's the explanation.

I captured only Link's body. His spirit stayed

behind. But one thing puzzles me. Why would Zelda

be able to see him? Well, she can only do that

if... No. No, any impossible. What is it, Aebonas?

Zelda could only see Link if... if she was in

love with him! Zelda in love with Link! How disgusting!

So... Now don't get the wrong idea, Buster. You

love me, huh? Oh, I do not! Yes, you do. Yes,

you do. That's why you can see me. No! I mean,

maybe just a little. Zelda loves me! Zelda loves

me! Shut up, you idiot! He'll hear you!
