About this Episode

TV's Mr. Neil and TFG1Mike begin their coverage of Captain N: The Game Master's second season. They review the introduction of the Game Boy character, the body-swapping antics in the Queen of the Apes episode, and the return of Link and Zelda to stop Ganon in the Quest for the Potion of Power.

Well, what do you know? Game Boy's some kind

of weird computer. Just what we needed. A brain

in a box. Let's get his batteries loaded and

check him out. Easy, fella. He won't bite. I

don't think. I am Call Game Boy. I am programmed

to play games. Burger time! Oh yuck! I've got

egg on my face! At least you're not in a mega

pickle! When my father disappeared and Mother

Brain tried to take over Vinyoland, there only

hoped Lane and ancient prophecy that a great

warrior from another world would come to our

rescue. He was a bit skeptical when Kevin showed

up. But now, I don't know how we'd ever get along

without him. Hello and welcome to the latest

episode of Pixels in the Animation. I am one

of your hosts, TF2 and Mike, and joining me in

this epic journey is TV's Mr. Neil. Shall we

play a game? Yes. Yes, we shall. Uh... He's not

that bad. Oh... He's bad, but he's not... Like,

Justin Bieber bad. He's wheelie, orbity, and

scooter all in one. Literally, because it's like

all the same actor. Yeah. What, no Scrappy? No,

he's worse than Scrappy. What? Gameboy? Oh, wait

a minute. Repeat that? Gameboy is worse than

Scrappy. Oh my god. I'm dumbfounded at that because

everyone except for me and a couple other people

that I know hate Scrappy. If Game Boy's worse

than Scrappy, then there's something wrong with

the world. Alright, so we are here to talk about

the next three episodes. The first three episodes

actually start off season two. We're now into

season two of Captain and the Game Master. And

I gotta say right off the bat... I like this

shortened intro, but I don't like not having

the announcers say, Captain Head and the Game

Master. I miss that. I really do miss that. I

mean, I know I can go back and watch the old

intros, but it's just one of those things that

I wish they had not taken that out of there.

I don't know. I don't like the new music. I thought

the old music sounded much better. It sounded

a little more epic. And then just to rub it in,

they added Game Boy. Like, Game Boy wasn't there

when he showed up. Yeah, see, that's the thing.

I get that. And I would have to go look and see

what the time difference was between season one

and season two when it aired, because I'm not

sure if these aired back to back. I don't think

season one, season two aired back to back when

it was airing, but it's just one of them things.

Let me see here. Season one, its last episode

was December 2nd, 1989, and season two started

September 8th, 1990. Yeah. It's almost a full

year between first and second season. That's...

So I guess... Putting a new intro on is all right

Of course once season three gets here, holy crap

Then then that season the intro is like a cock

tease like look at this awesome animation. There's

none of that in here All right, well as much

as Neil is regretting it let's head on into season

two with the first episode after this Atop the

Palace of Power, Princess Lana anxiously awaits

the rescue of her father, King Charles, from

the Mirror Warp to which Mother Brain banished

him. Hurry, Kevin! The Interdimensional Warp

only opens every 1 ,000 video gears. And it's

almost time! This is hurrying, Princess. Video

games are my specialty, remember? Okay, that's

it. You're on, Mega Man. Roger, Captain N! Opening

shutters! Energizing mega tractor beam! Just

think, Kevin! Soon my father will be safely home

again! Now don't get your hopes up too high,

Lana. He may not have made it to the warp -in

time. He'll be there. I know he will. Hey, there's

something coming in. Princess! Father! You made

it! You're coming home! Not quite yet, dearest

daughter. But why not? I miss you so. And I miss

you, little one. Alas. There is only room for

one traveler in the space capsule. I have decided

it is best for Video Land to send another in

my place. He is called Game Boy. Huh? What's

a Game Boy? He's a remarkable child from this

world who can help you battle the forces of evil

that plague our land. I truly believe he will

one day be our greatest hero. Take care of him,

Lana. He's been like a son to me. Do not give

up hope, Princess! I will get my new way to return

to you someday! First up today, Season 2, Episode

1, Game Boy! The N -Team finally gain contact

with King Charles again, wanting to help him

escape the Mirror World through a warp that only

opens every 1 ,000 video ye - Wait, wait, wait.

Through a warp that only opens every 1 ,000 video

years. But they don't say that, they say he's

coming through the Mirror again. So How is he

gonna come through the mirror? I I know me finding

plots in a plot screw up in a cartoon. It's it's

yeah But instead he sends a supercomputer called

Gameboy in his place Gameboy ends up being more

trouble than good for the end team and things

get worse when Mother Brain plans to capture

him and use his computer power for evil Elements

from Burger Time and Metroid. I remember Burger

Time. Oh My god, they're calling Game Boy a supercomputer

it runs off of z80. It's like it's like worth

a quarter Alright, so before we get into the

the power pads and zaps and all that stuff as

far as the plot goes for me I can The whole point

of the mirror world is it's your opposites so

Shouldn't Game Boy have an opposite that was

somewhere in the real world? You know, I think

they They just threw out the whole mirror world

thing because they they I don't think they even

referenced it was just like suddenly he's in

another world and and there's some rule about

the Warp Zone opening every 1 ,000 years and

For some reason he couldn't go through with Game

Boy. It's like it's like he's in a totally different

world than he was before Yeah, I don't necessarily

like that and the writers are different. I thought

it was gonna be Jeffrey Scott writing again This

season and it's I didn't even write it down one

up, but I do know that it is a different writer

and the thing of it is is The only I can think

of is if in the mirror world Gameboy is a Supercomputer

or a super genius or the next game master, but

on this side is an idiot On this side, he's curly.

Did I just insult curly? Holy crap. And Neil

is awfully silent. Wow. The plot of this one,

I like it. It's interesting how they morph Game

Boy when he's attached to Mother Brain. I thought

that was kind of cool. um it's your standard

second season hey we have to introduce a new

character type of thing i don't know what'd you

think of the plot um it seemed like i had alluded

to earlier it seemed to suffer from amnesia from

the previous season so right away it loses some

continuity points and it's It's the new character

episode. It's like everything I hated about Orbity

is back in Captain N. This character who's not

funny and gets into a lot of trouble and yet

somehow saves the day at the end even though

nobody really likes him. I mean the problem with

the show is that you already have two characters

with speech impediments, Kid Icarus and Mega

Man, and then you add a third. but and it seems

like um game boy needs permission to do it's

like living in video land is like being in jail

for game boy he needs permission to do everything

um something like uh may i inspect course new

course of action some something or i don't know

whatever but it's like it's one of those things

where it's like wow Okay, so I've already thrown

Curly under the bus. I might as well throw Lucius

Fox into the bus, too. It's kind of like Morgan

Freeman in Shawshank Redemption. He needs permission

to piss. Game Boy needs permission to do anything.

Okay. I have permission to piss. Andy Dufresne

was my friend. Yeah All right, we're gonna jump

on over to the power pads after this But since

I can't have my father back Won't it be wonderful

to have an adorable baby brother? What? I better

prepare his room while we wait It couldn't possibly

be as adorable as yours truly who cares a kiss

I'm the one or Heineken's makes video chip cookies

for And I'm the one who reads mega bedtime stories,

too! I'm her favorite! Oh, are you not? She likes

to read the best stories. Holy, guys! We've got

a satellite to land! So, the king's sending them

into a hero? Well, not if I get my tentacles

on him first! Egg Black! Hippo! Sun and Sun!

Yes, my main brain! You idiot! Get up! All right

power pads I'm gonna go first cuz I'm betting

Neil doesn't have a lot since I know he hates

Gameboy, but I Love a great popcorn gag. That

was awesome What yeah, it still had the moments

like that where it was just silly cartoon logic

Okay, for this first episode, I really did enjoy

Game Boy. And I do miss Burger Time. I love how

Kevin's... Kevin's Zapper works differently in

Burger Time. That's awesome. The music that's

played during Wiley's reprogramming of Game Boy,

that's some pretty cool music. This show, I don't,

you know, I don't even... We can say whatever

negative things we want to or positive things.

I want a soundtrack from this show for the music

that was in this show just the the game music

So after the end team warps and the scene transition

changes to where Metroid is Metroid is shown

instead of floating around and having steam come

out of it each It's like they stopped animating

and just put a standardized picture of Metroid.

This picture will be in the post, but did you

notice that? It basically looked like a photograph

and not an actual piece of animation. No, I really

didn't notice that. I might have looked away

at that point. I don't remember that. The villains

are called Rio. Where's Jim when you really need

saving? Oh, Jesus Christ. Yeah, I don't really

like the... The bad guy names from like early

Nintendo games because they're they're like badly

translated Japanese names. So it's probably something

like I Know it's something it's probably has

like an LR flip in there somewhere where it makes

much more sense If you pronounce it in Japanese

words and in English, it sounds kind of stupid

and they should have come up with a better Yeah

Did you watch this episode where it has a song

instead of mega move Yeah, it did it had a sound

alike song. So I wasn't like it wasn't quite

the music It wasn't quite like the copyrighted

music. It was like a parody version of it. It

was do the Freak Yeah, I don't remember the song

and I don't remember it sounds like Monster Mash

Yeah, yeah, it's supposed to sound like Monster

Mash. But yeah I wasn't sure if that was like

the YouTube video I watch or if that was actually

on the DVD. I Don't remember it being on the

DVD, but I could be wrong I thought the animation

this time around was kind of spot -on. The design

of Game Boy when he's mutated is kind of cool.

Although I don't think that design of a Game

Boy would have ever worked in real world. No,

because then it would have been like the links

or something like that. Just this awkward thing

that you can't hold right ever. Yeah. Do you

have any power pad moments anything you liked

about this? Well, you did mention the animation.

I was gonna bring that up. It's like It's like

the same thing as season one where the first

episode is like, oh my god, great And then like

everything after that just kind of it's downhill

You mentioned the music so I don't really have

any positive points to talk about this episode

I'll just remark about the music is that yeah

this this series has like all these weird remixes

of like classic NES tunes so yeah I would really

like to have a soundtrack of this show at some

point just for you know what the hell sake yeah

absolutely so we're gonna go get zapped Get ready!

This is gonna be like taking candy from a baby!

It's those palace pets! Get those Corbos! With

veggie pleasure! We've gotta break off! We got

him on the run! Now let's grab that satellite!

Hi, guys! Hey, where'd they come from? Turn around

and blast them again! I'm sure Neil has a long

list. I only have two for zapped moments. I knew

from the onset of this episode that the sidekicks

were gonna end up in that damn argument. I knew

it as soon as that happened. Okay, here's a...

I don't know if it's an animation error or if

it's just a storyboarding error. Lana falls,

the zapper goes off, but she's never shown holding

it or firing it at all. Kind of mixes up the

formula and he's just he's he's kind of like

poochy from from The Simpsons, you know that

joke character where he He shows up and he's

not really he doesn't really fit in he's kind

of there and he has his catchphrases and goofiness

and you're like, wow I wish you'd go away. So

the show would return to what it was and Like

I said, you know, you have two characters already

who are annoying You have a third. It's like

it's not curly it. This is Joe Besser No, it's

Curly Joe. God, I don't know which one's worse,

but one of the Joe Stooges, definitely. He's

just, oh my God. And, you know, they turned him

into like the evil Game Boy. I thought that was

kind of, I thought that was kind of dumb. You

know, you weren't really even given a reason

to care about the character and all of a sudden,

you know, he's in some sort of turmoil and...

You know before they were like we're gonna find

a way to get rid of Gameboy and suddenly he's

he's captured like we gotta get Gameboy back

It's like why do you suddenly care? Yeah, no,

I I agree that is There is kind of bad and all

as I was really saying was not that I liked The

fact that he turned evil. I just like the design

they the how they Yeah, they turned him into

evil Gameboy. They turned him into game gear

Hey, you know what at least game gear had television

Gameboy never had that shit. Yeah, but game gear

ate batteries her breakfast literally You know,

I was talking to someone about this the game

gear Other one of the one of the fan or nothing

is one of the shining force games You can't even

get through like the first battle. It'll eat

the batteries before you're done with the first

battle It's so ridiculous at least game boy had

battery life and that's why it's so Yeah Alright,

anything else on this one for... Let's go meet

the royalty. And no, I don't mean Beast Wars

Megatron. And for the last time, stop calling

me that! As you command, my... It'd be great

to have people falling at your feet like that.

Yes, it is. There's more to being a ruler than

that, Simon. There is. We are honored by your

visit to our humble palace, Your Highness. Well,

thank you for inviting us, Prince Plenty. Big,

you're bad, you're smart, that's true, but without

a body, who gives a boo? She's right! To be a

great tyrant, you need feet to stunt with, arms

to crush with, teeth to grind with, and those

kind of things you can win on - Up next in this

episode of Pixels and the Animation, we go to

Queen of the Apes. No. No, no, no, no, no. It's

a Donkey Kong episode. It's not even... The Donkey

Kong episodes increase as we go along. He's in

this a lot. Season 2, yeah. We'll get to that

next time in episode 26. So Queen of the Apes,

Mother Brain, plots to switch bodies with Lana,

only to have Donkey Kong and Game Boy interfere.

Their brains are switched and Mother Brain ends

up in Donkey Kong's body, which doesn't bode

well for the in -team or video land. Elements

from, well duh, Donkey Kong. I can already see

this plot going wrong. So basically we have this

plot that's been done in nearly every cartoon

ever, even going as far back as the Flintstones.

There was a Mind Swap episode of the Flintstones.

Yeah. This is so standard. Really, really is.

Any other plot thoughts? Just that it's been

done before and the the weird sort of relationship

the the inhabitants of the of Congo land have

with with Donkey Kong how you know that they

live in harmony with Donkey Kong but it involves

basically giving them giving Donkey Kong all

their food and and I don't know That was really

need to introduce a royalty for Congo land really?

No. I mean... I don't remember Donkey Kong, the

original game, ever having that. It's just Mario.

The original game, you're just climbing a building.

Yeah. And in fact, this story could have been

told without those characters. It would have

saved them like, I don't know, maybe five minutes

worth of animation time. And they could have

used that time for other things. Yeah, exactly.

So let's go punch them power pads. Hey! Give

me back my brain before I duke ya! I don't have

your brain, you've got my body! Boy, it sure

is empty in here. Hello? Hello?! Excellent! Now

all I need is a body! But not just anybody, I

want a body that's worthy of my beautiful brain!

Alright, put those power pads down, cause we're

- having a ball well it's better than mega move

all the time i did this on purpose so gb ended

up in mb and dk ended up in gb while mb ended

up in dk not good that just made my brain explode

that's one way to train your brain That's all

I have for power pants Yeah, I don't really have

anything at all it's this is kind of a lame episode

it was I guess it was No, I was gonna say that

you know there was there wasn't that much gameboy

in this but there was And it was more annoying

because he was in mother brains jar Yeah, but

he wasn't He wasn't around all that much being

in the jar because they had to go search for

him. So that's true. I mean it's Yeah, he gets

it mother brains when he when she gets put in

the in the Donkey Kong's body She's still holding

the jar and she throws it. I'm like, yes that

jar will break a die that jar must be made of

some steel Yeah, some weird transparent super

metal that only comes from like Star Trek you

know it's just that thing never breaks and I'm

like god damn it yeah I will say that I did like

Donkey Kong as Game Boy I thought that was kind

of that was kind of amusing yeah I thought that

was kind of amusing you got this little game

system going rawr Game system with some tiny

arms. It's a t -rex game system. Yay All right,

let's go get sapped He's got more than that.

He's got mother brain Uh oh. What's happening?

Alright, it is time to get zapped. Oh lord, here

we go with the feed me and I won't have a temper

tantrum thing. Oh my god. No. No, no that I remember

seeing that in other things like so many other

things So there you go, there's another trope

cast for you Miracle grow arrow really miracle

grow arrow is The miracle girl company paying

Deke to to say this seriously It's like, you

know, I've come to realize that Kid Icarus's

quiver must be manufactured by the same people

who made the 60s Batman utility belt because

he has an arrow for everything. He probably has

a shark repellent arrow. I'd kind of like to

see that actually. What didn't you like about

this one besides just saying everything? Oh my

god, the whole, you know, I'll just say the first

five minutes are just awful. First of all, there's

this big conveyor belt with all this food that

they're feeding Donkey Kong with, and this little

monkey steals a banana, a single banana, a normal

-sized banana, not one that Donkey Kong can hold.

And for some reason, that causes the whole mechanism

to go haywire, for no reason that is ever explained

ever. And this wall that starts coming apart

because Donkey Kong's throwing a bit, and then...

the end team have to repair the wall, so they're

doing all this ridiculous shit. I mean, I say

that you have to suspend disbelief for this cartoon,

but this pushes it a bit far. I mean, there's

one scene where Kid Icarus throws a rope arrow

and somehow it ties all the planks back together

by itself. I'm like, oh, Jesus Christ. It's awful.

Who wrote this? And I know the names at the beginning

of the episode. I'm not going to go back and

check. I don't really want to know, so don't

write in and tell me, please. You know, I think

that's it. I was just so exasperated after that.

Everything that followed was kind of downhill,

and I just kind of, I was able to catch my breath

after that. Nothing really offended me beyond

that. Although I will say, what kind of eased

my pain was that i've been watching this on a

youtube channel called uh the annotate experience

i'll probably like give a note to mike to throw

into the show notes but uh it's it's hilarious

because they have all these annotations throughout

the entire episodes and you know i have to keep

turning them off because you know i'm i'm getting

distracted and i'm almost afraid i'm gonna steal

their jokes because Every time Game Boy would

show up on screen, they'd block him out and they'd

say, does not exist, does not exist, nope, nope,

nope, nope, nope. It's hysterical, but that's

far removed from what I didn't like. I'm just

bringing it up because that eased my pain. Yes.

Well, hopefully the final episode of the day

will ease your pain even more. We'll be back

in a minute. Across the vastness of Videoland

on the magical world of Hyrule, years have passed

since the fall of the evil wizard Ganon, and

peace reign throughout the land. Until one dark

day, rumors spread that the evil Ganon would

rise again. While at the Palace of Power... And

finally up today we have possibly the best episode

of the entire series Quest for the Potion of

Power Kevin meets Link and Princess Zelda for

the first time and sets out with them on a journey

through Hyrule to stop the evil wizard Ganon

from being restored to his full power Elements

from Legend of Zelda 2, The Adventure of Link.

I love this episode. The animation and places

is a little spotty, but overall I love this episode.

They really did a good job updating Zelda's outfit,

didn't they? I mean she's... She's got an outfit

on that resembles her original from the Legend

of Zelda cartoon, but it's more in line with

the fact that Lana has a mid -drift as well.

So, what I just read from Wiki basically explains

the plot. They have to stop Ganon from coming

back to life and it's... Of course, Mother Brain,

who is trying to get him to come back to life,

and apparently Mother Brain never did any research

on Ganon at all. Because Ganon is ten, maybe

twenty times more powerful than she could ever

hope to be. Right. I love that. I love this.

There are a couple of times in the plot I was

like, Oh God, will you get over yourself? Both

of you, Kevin and link. Jeez. Yeah. He's the

one thing I have to say about this. I don't mean

to like start digging on her already, but link

is like more of a jerk than he normally is. It's

like, you know, in the other, in the other show,

he's kind of a, you know, he's kind of a bragging

jerk, but here he's just like, Just downright

immature Yeah, he really is and you would think

that he wouldn't be this immature because he's

kind of grown up at this point Between the last

series in this series again, maybe it's the animation

design and the other thing is We're led to believe

That he and Zelda are actually together and we're

led to believe that lots of time has passed Yeah

Is he sure not begging for kisses this time?

No Not at all So let's go ahead and punch those

power pads Hyrule calling the palace of power.

We are in need of a hero Simon Belmont, vampire

hunter, at your service, your loveliness. Not

only am I tall, blonde, and handsome, I'm quick

on the draw. Light on my feet. Very impressive,

hero Belmont, but actually, I was looking for

Captain Anne. Did somebody call my name? Oh,

wow, you're a princess! Zelda! Is something wrong?

Nothing we can't handle, Lana, with a little

help from your Captain N. I live to help beautiful

princesses. You never bow like that for me. By

your leave, Your Highness. Be off with you, my

Captain, but be home in time for dinner. Program

in place to inspect your environment. Okay, Game

Boy, you can go. Don't blow a microchip. Uh,

not this time, fella. Someone has to help Lana

hold down the fort. Yes, some of us have more

important things to do than running off to play

hero. Simon, what are you doing in that plant?

Uh, pruning the leaves, of course. Kevin, Hyrule

is an exciting world, but it's also dangerous.

Please, be careful. Aren't I always? Put those

power pads down. Oh, yeah, Zelda and Link. It's

the... First of all, how often is it that a cartoon

will have characters return to the next series

or as a guest stars in a follow -up series and

bring back the actual original voice actors?

Not... Okay, sure, you can say... Peter Cullen's

been Optimus Prime for 30 years but like you

know other cartoons than that I don't maybe I

can account maybe five or six that have done

this uh absolutely love it and um wow her outfit

has changed nice yeah Put an apple in his mouth

and wowzers mini Ganon pot roast Totally yeah,

that was kind of gross looking like little fat

pig character. Yeah, I Will say that I absolutely

loved Len Carlson again as Ganon, but I loved

how how low that his voice was when he was Depowered

I really did enjoy that and then when he when

he got big When when Rita repulsa threw her wand

down make make her monster grow when he got big?

his voice it Was similar. I mean, it's the it's

the same Gannon voice But I thought I heard a

little bit of a difference between this and the

original series that that he was in And I really

enjoyed it. I thought it was great. Well, you

might have adjusted it a little or it could just

be that you know, he kind of forgot how to do

the voice and whatever voice he came up with

this time was just a little bit cooler. You know,

just the chance of that happening. It could happen.

Yeah, that's true. What did you like about this

one? Well, it was kind of a cool take on the

Zelda 2 storyline. That is the plot of Zelda

2 is that the Moblins and all the bad guys are

trying to resurrect Ganon, but In the game, if

Ganon is resurrected, it means that you lost.

Because what they're doing is they're hunting

you, and they use your blood to revive Ganon.

And that's kind of grisly. So in this one, you

know, it's just like a potion. And Ganon comes

back. And what else? I do like the animation

quite a bit. It's a step up from the Zelda series

and it's pretty much keeping in line with like

the best episodes of season one and season two

as far as animation quality. So that's good.

Pretty cool character designs on both Link and

Zelda and on Ganon. I mean Ganon got a major

upgrade. Yeah, he got a complete major upgrade

and that was really awesome. You know, it's just

and plus it's cool that they they kind of got

a chance to tie off the Zelda the Zelda cartoon

which didn't really didn't really end on a on

a It didn't really end on a satisfying note it

just it was just kind of like 13 episodes about

you know random stuff that happens and No real

beginning or end and this this one it kind of

gives that that series conclusion Mm -hmm. I

wish that they had made another one like because

I could have sworn that Lana and Zelda or together

at one point they weren't in this episode maybe

it's just wishful thinking on my part but there

there are more episodes with with the Zelda team

they do come back I'll have to wait and see because

like this is the episode that I like this is

the only episode that I really remember the man

so I'll have to wait and see and All that. I

do love - There's at least one more. Okay. I

do, as much as I loathe the true villain of this

cartoon series, I do love how, um, how Zelda

rejects him. Is Horsehead an actual villain in

the game? Yes, and what Kevin said is true. The

only weak spot on him is his head. And he's a

pain in the ass. That game is a pain in the ass.

It's the one Zelda console game that I've never

beaten. Wow. At one point I was just like, screw

this game. I'll watch a Let's Play on YouTube

and call it done. Yeah, I Have no zapped moments.

I don't know about you. Did you I have a couple

should we just knock them out of the way right

now? Yeah, let's just knock them out because

I don't have any I mean, I don't know what all

right, what didn't you like about this one? Okay,

I just couple out of the character designs on

the Zelda characters One negative point is that

link does not look like link they they totally

revamped them in in the Captain N style But they

didn't really preserve anything that made him

resemble the other character. He just looks totally

alien from the other design. And it's not even

just that he's taller. He's like another head

taller and his facial structure is completely

different. It's just kind of bizarre that they

went with that. There are ways to... adapt something

into another style and still keep what was still

keep something of the original style in there

and they didn't do that yeah I can see your point

but you know like you said they were adapting

him into the Captain N style yeah so I don't

think him being a head shorter than what he is

now in this series I don't mean I don't mean

like the height thing I you know I I think you

absolutely should be taller just like just his

face. It doesn't look like yeah Yeah friggin

mutton chops. That's that's what it is friggin

mutton chops Now I'm thinking that stupid Simpsons

episode, all right, let's uh That's that's it

for for this episode. We're gonna go to a quick

break You're gonna hear some audio clips, maybe

a couple of ads, and we'll come back with final

thoughts, ratings, and closing the show after

this. It's action. It's drama. It's comedy. It's

Decian, the superhero webcomic. Decian's got

superhero antics and sexy girls. Read it now

at Decian .com. D -A -S -I -E -N .com. This is

awesome! Me meeting my favorite video hero! You're

a real video legend where I come from, Link.

Hey, what happened to your leg? Oh, it's nothing.

Pulled a muscle dodging boomerangs. Goes with

the territory, you know. Yeah. So, Captain N,

is this the famous Zapper I've heard so much

about? The one and only. But hey, call me Kevin.

All my friends do. You two heroes can pat yourselves

on the back some other time. We have important

business. Oh, yeah, right. Ganon. Ganon? I thought

you wiped him out for good. So did I. But we

just heard a rumor that someone's trying to bring

him back. Wow. You got any clues? Only one. That

they're searching for a magic potion that will

restore his power. We've got to find it first.

Radio Network. Alright, it is time to rate these

episodes for today. I'm almost scared to ask

you the first two ratings, but Game Boy, what

do you give it? One. God, I hate this. I just

hate this type of episode. The episode where

you introduce the new mascot character. It doesn't

really add anything to the story and doesn't

really contribute to the overall... Character

interaction just kind of there. He's like he's

like having another Duke Except he gets into

more trouble Yeah, that's that's true. It's very

true For me, I'm gonna give it a three. I Really

did enjoy it. I thought it was an interesting

thing that they'd worked What I really thought

was interesting is how they worked in the new

system without basically saying hey We're gonna

kill this guy so we can bring in a hundred and

twenty other new characters for you to dislike.

You know. It's not like they could have put somebody

in a coma or anything. Play instruments of destruction

as they kill off all the old characters. Exactly.

Exactly. So yeah, I'm gonna give Game Boy a 3

out of 5. Queen of the Apes. I'll give it a two.

The first five minutes are just awful, and then

after that, it gets better. I mean, it always

gets better when you have the eggplant wizard

and King Hippo being the bumbling oafs that they

are. As much as I like them, I hated this episode.

Zero. Wow. Gets a zero. I really... Really hated

this episode. It was an unneeded Episode it was

yours like we said it's the standard brain swap

It's just Like I said Episodes ago. There's like

a list of just common Episode tropes that every

series does and captain is just hitting every

single one of them Well, they weren't for a while

they were hitting, you know games and they were

you know, putting them into the games and Now

it seems like season two is gonna be that that

trophy season All right potion of power I'll

give it a four. It was a pretty decent episode

well animated and you know kind of kind of a

nice way to tie off the Zelda series and Pay

some homage to the second Zelda game, even though

it's really not that good Yeah, I wish they would

have when they do bring the characters back I

wish they would have gotten to be able to do

a link to the past kind of thing That would have

been that game would have been like so awesome

to convert into a cartoon Yes, I want that now.

I want the Zelda series same characters same

actors well Sadly we can't have the same Ganon

back since Len is no longer with us, but Yeah,

we need an animated series based off a link to

the past All right before we close out You got

anything you want to pimp out? What's going on

with you on on the interwebs? Well on no superpants

calm What comics I have going this week I'll

depend on who gives me comics because I'm still

doing my super double digest chapter that has

40 plus pages and I have people who are submitting

comics and I haven't gotten all of them yet so

whatever is going on this week I don't know quite

yet. But I do know it's wrapping up and the last

week will be the origin of Lord Crimson, the

villain character. there's going to be one major

revelation given in that comic. So if you read

the comic, you should... I would love to say

you shouldn't miss it, but there's no way to

miss it because it stays online. It's not like

a TV schedule, but anyway, yeah, you get the

idea. Thank you for joining us here on Pixels
