About this Episode

Mike and Neil revisit the early-90s Video Power show and its animated segment The Power Team, a Captain N-style series featuring video game characters like Quirk, Kuros, Bigfoot, Max Force, Narc, and Tyrone fighting the villain Mr. Big. They discuss the show's animation quality, voice cast including Michael Donovan, the games represented, and how the series shifted from cartoons to a game show format in its second season. They also cover the real-world host Johnny Arcade and his role introducing each episode.

Starring a pretty strange collection of video

game superstars known as the Power Team. The

Power Team stars Quirk, America's favorite tomato,

Max Force, Narc Supercop, Kuros of Wizards and

Warriors, Tyrone the coolest arch rival, and

Bigfoot, the king of the monster trucks. Trust

me, these guys are the hottest superhero team

ever to fight the dark forces of evil. And no

one is more evil. than Mr. Big. We'll have a

Power Team adventure for you every day. Okay,

settle in. Here's the plan. We're gonna check

out the number one episode of the Power Team.

The premiere. First time on television. It's

an episode where the team battles that good -for

-nothing Mr. Big in an adventure called, Yes,

We Have No Tomatoes. And when the team wraps

it up and we come back, we're gonna get the Video

Power Edge. On ninja gaiden 2 and the revenge

of shinobi. Let's roll Hello and happy new year

Happy holidays from pixels in the animation.

This is episode 46 and this is our special bonus

kind of episode in the revamp of the schedule

of the podcast I am of course to you Mike joining

me as TV's mr. Nail get ready to throw some tomatoes

or tomatoes However, you want to say it man for

a second there? I thought you were gonna say

it. Let's get ready for the video edge No So

we are here and we are going to be talking about

video power and the power team. More specifically

the power team, but since video power is where

the cartoon aired, I don't think it ever aired

outside of it, did it? No. I mean, I know that

they did. I know that they did a syndication

on USA, but I don't think they. I honestly don't

think that they did air the actual cartoons outside

of the actual video power thing I mean they may

have tried but the problem is that the that the

length of the cartoon is weird because it's packaged

inside of a program it's like the Super Mario

Super Show or the the cartoons are like what

18 minutes long instead of the regular 22 to

25 so Yeah, you would have some major cartoon

or commercial breaks if you tried to put the

cartoon on out on its own Mm -hmm Yeah, I mean

just looking at it here The average running time

for the cartoon is 15 minutes yeah, they produced

55 episodes of this. Yep, and it shows The ones

that I saw the ones that you linked me to the

ones that I watched the animation wasn't Horrible.

Yeah, it wasn't it wasn't terrible for the time.

I mean, it's about It's a little it's actually

a little above average surprised. Yeah From 90

to 92. It's very yeah for yeah, especially for

1990 that kind of animation It almost felt, the

animation style itself, it kind of felt like

I was watching The Littles, weirdly enough. It's

that style, except a little more crude than Littles.

Littles is actually animated very well. It does

say on Wiki that the show reran on USA Network

as Acclaim Masters, but there's a citation needed

on that, so we're not too sure on that one. But,

you know, I remember the second season of the

video power show more than the first season,

because the second season ended up being a game

show. Yeah, that's utterly bizarre. I guess that

was cheaper than producing more of the cartoon,

though. That's probably why they did it. Well,

you know, you look at it this way, and I will

be linking this episode. the telecast here in

inside episode 46 on the post but We had all

over on the telecast optimus solo he He did a

first -ever GCR and listeners choice where the

listeners could you know write in a vote or comment

and vote on what show they wanted us they wanted

us to talk about and it Ironically the votes

came down to video power or Nick arcade And Nick

arcade won out so I will be linking that episode

in the post here, but the game show version of

video power is Outside of the fact that you don't

get to actually control a Specific game character

to that game show like Mikey was on Nick arcade.

It's stunningly similar to what Nick arcade did.

I mean you did they had people playing video

games throughout the thing and then at the end

you had some sort of chase and race and whatever

else except in video powers instance it was a

you know run through the store get as many games

as you can if you find the in game you get a

game system yay one of the reasons why i remember

this this and run through uh... video powers

second season is because they would always say

You know how on stuff like Wheel of Fortune and

Jeopardy they say, oh, well, our second and third

place contestants will get this as a consolation

prize. I always remember them using Eastpac and

Esport for the backpacks and stuff. I always

remember them giving those away for the prizes.

I mean, you might as well just give away Rice

-a -Roney. Hey, I still have. But that was like

the loser prize on like Jeopardy or something.

It's like, if you're a winner, you get a good

prize on Jeopardy. If you're the loser, it's

like rice -a -rody, the San Francisco treat.

Thanks. So with the power team, as I said, 55

episodes, the voice cast is interesting. You

have Michael Donovan. uh lead jeffery terry clausen

jason micus richard newman john novak and dale

wilson now the only person out of this entire

voice cast that i recognize listed here is richard

newman because he was the voice of rhinox in

beast wars it's the only reason why i recognize

his name i recognize the voice some of the voices

but i can't put them to names Like, I know that

the voice of Johnny Arcade in the cartoon is

Kid Icarus. Yeah. And I said it just like that.

That's Kid Icarus. I'm trying to see here. Let's

see where. Maybe it's listed as video power.

I don't know. The voice of Kuros was Michael

Donovan Who also was the voice of Eggplant Wizard

on Captain Anne He also has done He was Wes Weasley

in Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog which we'll

be covering at some point He was in your favorite

cartoon series of all time as Professor T Bird

in Battletoads the one episode it got That's

not a series. I know. He was in Catdog, Conan

and the Young Warriors, Darkstalkers, which we'll

be talking about down the line in the show. Oh

boy. He was Big Bear in Cloudburst and G .I.

Joe a real American hero. Oh my god, he was on

handymania as Hank. Wow. I assume this is the

2002... Wait, that can't be. What? Really? No,

that cannot be because they have that link wrong.

It says here he was on He -Man and the Masters

of the Universe's Randoor and additional voices.

That has to be the 2002 version of the show,

not the 83 version because there's no way in

hell he was Randoor from 83. I'm almost certain

that Randoor was probably Lou Scheimer. Yeah.

Because that was like one of those weird voices

you always heard on filmation. Yep. Or, I'm King

Randoor. He was, uh, haha. He's gonna be a voice

in another show we've got coming up starting

in episode 47 in January. He was on Mega Man

as Ring Man and Mega Man X. Let's see here, what

else was Michael Donovan in? Thank God we're

not covering that series, but he was on Sonic

Underground. He was the voice of Carnage in Spider

-Man Unlimited. He has done a number of things.

Do you remember watching Power Team when it was

on? I do. And I think it was because it was the

only thing on in the morning. Did you enjoy it,

at least? Or no? It's amusing. It's... I don't

know. I don't know how to compare it to Captain

N because Captain N had some kind of wonky episodes

and so did this. And I honestly cannot say which

was better or worse. These are some stupid cartoons,

but at the same time, they were competent, I

guess. The sad thing for me is it reminds me

of watching these episodes again it reminds me

of It's like they they wanted to combine a bunch

of cartoons you have You know a strange version

of Captain N with a bunch of video game characters

coming together and having to be a team You have

Mr. Big, who essentially is a poor man's big

boss from Cops. Yeah, he's big boss. He's the

guy from Marvel, though. Kingpin. Yeah, he's

the Kingpin. There are so many characters that

are just this character. It's the big fat big

boss character. He's got the cigar and the chubby

cheeks and the hat. I mean, I've made a character

like that, for Christ's sake. I mean, yeah, the

big boss is just the generic gangster who has

rocket cigars. Is that what that was? I think

so. Yeah, that's what it looked like. And then,

OK, his two henchmen are, what was it, Joe and

Spike? Yeah, Joe looks like Shamp Howard the

whole time. I just kept picturing him. doing

shep shit and being like you know that yeah and

then the other guy he's it's driving me crazy

but it looks like they just traced some other

character and i cannot put a life in me remember

what it's from i'm gonna have to go through like

all my old cartoons and figure out what it is

because that that character design it looks like

something out of like 80s anime like like like

bubblegum crisis or crusher joe or something

like that it's driving me crazy i know i've seen

that character model before um i'm just looking

at johnny's um real life uh actor here stevie

i i assume it's stevie it's s t i v i yeah uh

passowski or paskowski um i've seen him recently

actually this year he was um Fingers Palovich

in one of the episodes of the hit NBC show the

blacklist You know, he hasn't done too bad for

himself since video power, I mean he really has

and he had PCU in 94 He was on third watch for

a couple of episodes in 2003. He was on Law and

order criminal intent and the core law and order

for oh Wow, he was on law and order from 93 to

2010. Holy crap That's a long time to do characters

on especially on that show So, I mean, you know

He has grown out of Johnny Arcade, I'd say, because

the picture on IMDb, he looks like he needs to

be behind bars. He has this whole big mustache

and goatee and it's really, really weird. For

me, I remember watching this show and really

the only thing, and I don't know why, the only

two things I ever cared about was seeing what

kind of adventures Kuros would get into and Bigfoot.

You know this happened this show happened between

the time I was 10 and 12 so I was really into

monster trucks back then and That's really all

I cared about was like whenever Bigfoot would

go on a mission I Always secretly wish that this

was like a sequel to Bigfoot in the mud and the

muscle machines Somehow it's in continuity, I

don't know how This is yeah, it's a magic continuity

wand um No, but I you know going back. I didn't

think this show was going to I mean Well, you

know cuz you've been here the entire time, but

we've spent nearly 45 episodes talking about

Mario cartoons and don't get us wrong folks or

at least don't get me wrong I used to love the

Mario cartoons as a kid, but looking at it as

an adult The only one that's really halfway decent

that I would ever re -watch is Super Mario 3.

Super Show, it just... Super Show and the Mario

cartoons in that, because I count Zelda separate.

I know Zelda was the Friday show, but I don't...

I count Zelda as a separate series. It doesn't

I really don't want to fall back on it doesn't

hold up, but it It's really bad So trust us folks

we've come from You know almost 45 episodes or

less of pretty Bad cartoons, there are some moments

in several episodes where we absolutely love

stuff, but sadly The Mario Nintendo Adventure

Hour times just is not good. So when I got to

this, I was expecting the worst. I was expecting

this to be crappy quality animation. And it really

is, like we said at the beginning, especially

for the time, it's halfway decent. I mean, it's

probably on... Like one maybe one to three levels

of quality below TMNT at the time I Mean it's

that kind of animation Other than Kuros and Bigfoot

and Max Force from NARC the other quirk and Tyrone

Give me a break guys. You couldn't get like Jordan

versus Bird or, you know, something you couldn't

get, you know. For a time, Arch Rivals wasn't

exactly an obscure video game. I mean, it was

an arcade game by Midway or I guess it would

have been Williams at the time. And then Quirk

is actually a really good game. It's actually,

astonishingly enough, it's probably the best

game represented by that cartoon. Because Quirk

was a Game Boy title. It's kind of like Boxel,

but it's actually a really, really good puzzle

game. And it's probably best known for being

the prequel to Amazing Tater, which is one of

the rarest Game Boy games and will cost you quite

the penny to get it on eBay. Yeah, there's a

whole series of those. It's called the Puzzle

Boy series. All of them are really good. They're

by Atlas. The first game got released by Acclaim,

and that's how Quirk ended up in this cartoon.

The other games... God. Well, the other games

apparently are all originally created by your

favorite game studio. Yeah. Rare ported some

of them. I mean, like I said, one of them was

by Williams, so... Rare just made the port for

it. But they did, I think they did make Wizards

and Warriors in -house. And you could totally

tell because Rare being a British development

house, they kind of have, it's hard to explain

what it is about their graphics, but they use

a lot of the same. weird colors they use a lot

of like teal and magenta in their games and it's

almost like it's almost like they have a thing

for EGA graphics and that's why they that's why

all their games look like that and it's actually

kind of it actually makes it really ugly like

i cannot stand looking at the wizards and warriors

games and they're really difficult for all the

wrong reasons too so i i cannot stand those games

wizards and warriors is probably best known for

the second game because the cover looks like

looks like a Harley Quinn novel because it's

got that it's got that on the cover it's got

Fabio Cannot believe they got Fabio today. This

is Nintendo. Okay, sure I get it The game is

put up by a claim but Nintendo has to put their

seal on these things and I cannot believe They

put I mean Nintendo is a family company even

back, you know, they've been a family company

the company their entire history Right for the

most part pretty much. Yeah, you know You're

right this, you know all is missing is a half

-naked princess in the background it looks like

i mean basically yeah he's he's on the cover

all those smutty novels that like old yeah old

women read yeah oh god you're gonna kill me for

this it looks like he has the wwf championship

belt around his waist it kind of does and if

you pull a photoshop that that cover with hulk

bogan on it oh no that's so bad so so so bad

you guys can look at the poster this episode

and see what we're talking about oh my god fucking

fabio i don't know what's worse having fabio

on your game cover or having millie vanilla in

your cartoon series i would i would take fabio

because at least fabio is kind of funny Especially

like in the late 90s when he started doing other

commercials like he did I can't believe it's

not butter Yeah, you did. I can't believe it's

not butter And on a roller coaster you got hit

by a duck Yep Oh God that's so they really made

Kuros look like Fabio in this cartoon by the

way He Because that's not how he looks in the

game He looks like a combination between and

again, I know you're gonna hate me for this one

he looks like a kind of like somebody took brave

star and he man and and She ra and my little

pony and made them all have a child. That's what

he looks like throw triple H in there Yeah Yeah

Pretty much. In this fairy ring, I will fight

Malkill. Oh, God. And Malkill, he looks like...

He looks like friggin' what would happen later

in the Iron Man cartoon from Marvel. He looks

like an early version of the Mandarin from the

Marvel cartoon Iron Man series. It's just crazy.

So Pretty much the overall show for video power

It was in apparently intended to capitalize on

the audience of Captain N Another deep series

by having a real -world teenager lead a team

of video game heroes, but took the opposite Attacked

by having the game characters come to the real

world A common device on the show was the characters

trying to recover the game packs from Mr. Big,

which would send them home. Mr. Big would actually

use the game packs to try to blast the characters

back home during their battles. While this is

what the heroes wanted, had Mr. Big sent them

home, they'd leave Mr. Big in the real world

to cause havoc without any competition. You already

mentioned Joe Rockethead and Spike. Who are two

other narc boss characters As well as a counter

to Bigfoot's a living monster truck named burnt

rubber I Like You know what I don't I don't know

how big on Monster truck knowledge you are and

I you know listeners help me out, please What

I would have absolutely loved as a kid to see

and I don't know if this ever happened bigfoot

versus gravedigger i was gonna say that's the

only the only other one i know if they had gravedigger

in here that would have been amazing they probably

couldn't get the rights to him though it's like

the undertaker of monster trucks yeah ain't that

the truth um so with uh With Johnny Arcade's

involvement as far as the power team goes, before

the beginning of each episode, Johnny Arcade

is briefly shown playing each character's game

on his nest before they come flying out of the

screen. Even Quirk, which was a Game Boy game.

That's silly. That's just silly while Johnny

was always leading the team. He was never actually

seen hanging out with the characters He'd always

be in his room calling his shots Even though

Max Force does take a bit of a leader role in

one episode of mr. Big Timber with Johnny's controls

making him unable to give orders I still love

this show. It's not one that I'll go back to

but it was fun going back and watching it watching

the cartoons and One episode the first episode

you had linked me to which again will be in the

poster but It was mr. Big going after tomatoes

because he wanted to Deprive the world of tomato

Yeah The plots are not like that the first episode

nonetheless Starting out on the right foot Yeah,

I just don't know And at the end, the pizza guy

was so thankful that he's like, he's like, pizzas

are on me. I like how I like how that guy is

just kind of like walking out about town, but

he's still got the chef's hat on and the apron

because because he's a he's a pizza chef. Therefore,

he's always going to be dressed like a chef.

Look like Chef Boyardee. He kind of did. I was

half waiting for Garfield and Mario to show up

to scarf some pizza. I like the power theme.

I like video power. I think I liked it more as

I said in the second season with the whole game

show format. The first season it was interesting

but all the video power stuff, at least in the

beginning before you get to the cartoon, was

just informational kind of thing. I did like

how Johnny would have to come into his little

little arcade station there and have to turn

everything on that That was the other cool thing

about this show The sound effects were amazing

the game sound effects that they used all over

the place Yeah, the game systems he had though.

He had an NES a turbo graphics and something

else I couldn't see I couldn't figure out why

he had a turbo graphics because I don't remember

a claim ever releasing anything on the turbo

graphics Yeah, it was like okay Yeah, I don't

know The coolest thing about watching these videos

is Whomever put them on YouTube actually put

the entire 30 minute show with commercials with

commercials in you know still there and The most

awesome thing about this isn't what you think

I'm gonna say Genesis does what nintendon't I

was gonna say that's like Some of the best quality

versions of that that I've seen on YouTube is

in these yeah Yeah, it's absolutely amazing And

on the opposite end of the spectrum we have the

tiger electronics handheld. Oh Come on those

are so bad Okay, sure I will give you that the

tiger electronic games themselves are bad I think

the only one I actually ever enjoyed was paperboy,

but still Seeing the commercial is kind of awesome

kind of it'll at least for the Batman game anyway

But yeah those games Just so weird and then the

weirdest the weirdest one of all is when they

started doing double games like Bo knows Bo Jackson

baseball info I don't think I knew any of my

friends, you know growing up. I don't think anyone

wanted that game. Because it was basically two

Tiger games put together, you know, end over.

It's basically you take them together and just

glue them together. Because it's two control

sets for each game. You just rotate it for which

game you want to play. It was crazy. But no,

I mean, there were some really, really cool commercials

in this. And they even had the... I mentioned

this over on the powers of grayskull series our

he -man review show. It always surprises me when

The old he -man and she ran 900 numbers show

up. It surprised me even more when the game tip

line 900 numbers showed up here 99 cents for

the first minute dollar 99 for each or whatever

that was. Yeah. Yeah, it's your parents permission

Now, nowadays, that would just be game facts

and it'd be free. Yeah, pretty much. Pretty much.

In fact, game facts kind of negates the the opening

and closing of this very show because you got

Johnny Arcade giving you tips on Ninja Gaiden

and and and and Revenge of Shinobi and just stuff

you can look up online now. It's like Google.

Well, yeah, but you got to think, though. You

know, 1990, 1992, we didn't have the internet

yet. You know, this is one thing I'll give in

Video Power's favor. It was basically, instead

of having to read a Nintendo Power magazine,

it was basically watching a, not specifically

Nintendo Power magazine, but you know what I

mean, it's like watching one of the magazines.

You know, and I thought that was really cool

that they did that. Except the magazines had

so much more content. Well, true. I mean, that's

like the amount of information you gave away

on that show was like maybe like a corner of

a page in one of those magazines. Absolutely.

Oh, I missed Nintendo Power. Yeah, I miss it,

but I also don't miss it because. Back in those

days, it's like you didn't have the information

readily available. You just kind of had to wait

for the magazine to show up. And then you got

this explosion of info all at once. And then

you had to wait another month. And nowadays,

you know, you wake up in the morning and there's

news and there's news on video games. And it's

like you don't need the magazines anymore, which

is sad because I miss the euphoria of that. But

I also know that that would be total bullshit

nowadays. Oh, man. You know, there's a huge difference

in waking up, sitting down at your computer and

doing a Google search, than waking up, going

to school, coming home, seeing that the mail

has arrived and you've got this giant, how many,

what was it, like a hundred and something pages

per magazine or something like that? Right. 100

and I don't know what the page count was for

Nintendo fire magazine But it was something like

a hundred and something pages or so, you know,

there's a huge difference in that though, you

know Actually being able to see what's going

on that month for Nintendo, you know, and I'm

not talking about past 1994 or 1995 when it became

the Pokemon power magazine You know, I'm talking

like When did Nintendo Power first start? 1988.

Yeah, I'm talking 88 to 94 or so is when I had

it and some of the best years of my life. It

was one of the only magazine subscriptions I

ever actually had as a kid. Obviously my mom

paid for it, but it was in my name. So I would,

you know, every time I would get it, it would

have my name on it and whatever else. And it

was just so friggin awesome. But back to the

power team. Can you see yourself watching any

of these episodes, you know, every now and then?

Every now and then, maybe. But I had a hard time

sitting through these. I had to take a break

between episodes. And after I was done, I just

had to lay down. Because they are rough yeah,

they kind of are But you know For video power

the games that got represented there are a lot

of games that they most of them Weren't NES games

some of them are Genis or not Genesis. Yeah.

No the other atomic a rebel kid was Genesis Dick

Tracy, oh my god Genesis final blow from Genesis

Flicky what the hell? Oh, that's on the that's

a That's an arcade game that got ported to the

genesis. Yeah And I got retconned into the sonic

universe, oddly enough They had Mega Man 1 through

3 They had NES play action football. Oh Thank

God no Madden. Thank God no Madden. I don't think

no no men When the Madden game started They only

ever this is hilarious they list um moonwalker

but it was only ever used in the intro to the

show it was never michael jackson's moonwalker

for genesis was never actually used in the show

other than the intro that's hilarious uh... i'm

really surprised uh... oh that's why he might

have had uh... a uh... uh... turbo graphics sixteen

because vigilante was used in the intro only

again So that could be why. WWF WrestleMania

Challenge. Wow. And I did not know Wheel of Fortune

had a Game Boy version. Oh, yeah. The Game Boy

library is so huge. There's so many games. And

every now and then I'll see when I'm like, I

don't remember them ever making a game out of

this. Like the Double Dragon games, they made

three Double Dragon games for that thing. And

I'm like, why? I remember playing Game Boy, you

know, from 90 to 93, pretty much. Maybe late

89. Like Christmas 89. But I only ever played

like Tetris and the Super Mario Land games. And

I think I played Bugs Bunny and Crazy Castle.

Oh, Jesus. What? but I don't ever remember playing

a lot of games that like games we could see working

on the Nintendo Entertainment System that wouldn't

work on you know wouldn't look interesting or

cool on Game Boy and I was never of the generation

for Game Boy Color like I was so totally out

of Game Boy at that point I was all in for Super

Nintendo until the 64 came along and basically

screwed my Nintendo career for the rest of my

life because of that damn controller. But anyway,

that's a discussion for another show altogether.

Overall Power Team, it was a fun look back. It's

not going to be something I go back to right

away. Did you notice in the one episode when

Bigfoot was under Malchil's power, like every

time he would he would uh he would like do whatever

malchall would would command he would you would

hear the zelda uh flute sound for some reason

i mean that's the mario whistle well it's a it

was first in zelda oh was it yep i'm like that's

kind of odd that's kind of uh I mean, I know

they're Nintendo games, but I don't think they

had Nintendo's permission to do that. A lot of

the sound effects are, I mean, they're not Mario

jump effects or anything like that, but a lot

of the sound effects, and again, it could just

be because I remember it from Nintendo more than

anywhere else, but a lot of the sound effects

I remember hearing on Nintendo or games that

were played on the Nintendo Entertainment System,

so. I'll give the Power Team one point here.

They never had to use Mega Move. Oh, yeah. Well,

they didn't have any music montages, so... That's

true, too. So, they didn't have to replace any

music, and therefore, we never had to be tortured.

Alright, folks. Did you have anything else you

want to bring up? Just that we were also fortunate

that none of the characters had any speech impediments.

None of them sounded like they had a smoker's

cough or anything Yeah, there were no mega jokes

in this one All right folks this is going up

New Year's Eve so here's well no wait actually

this will be going up crap So I'll actually be

going up New Year's Day, so you have one week

to vote for the finals in our Wars video game

character tournament. At the time of this recording,

we don't know who the final matchups are going

to be. Right now, the semi -finals is Link versus

Mega Man, and... Jack and Da... no, not Jack

and Daxter, they get defeated. Ratchet and Clank

versus Sonic. Ratchet and Clank, Jack and Daxter,

what's the difference? I just... I don't know.

I'm hoping Sonic pulls it out either way. uh...

but uh... so that's going on and uh... starting

in january at some point i don't know exactly

when because i believe steve megatron is going

to be joining me live for our mega man coverage

uh... we'll be covering the uh... megaman nineteen

ninety -four cartoon series the good megaman

cartoon series cuz that nt warrior crap does

not exist That that should be a show that we

throw in that one episode We said we were gonna

do of failed video game pilots, even though it

didn't fail It should be one of those we can

make it like the worst video game cartoons. We've

ever seen Okay out like battle toads and Whatever

else, you know ones that only had one or two

episode like not full -on series your show doesn't

air and every time we talk about one of these

things we just need to put in the Mortal Kombat

guy epic fail Oh, God. All right, folks. What

have you got coming up in the new year, sir?

I'm still in the process of finishing up my Scooby

-Doo parody, which is called Girl of Goo, Where

Are You, which should be debuting on this very

day, January 1st, barring any further difficulty.

What's happening is that I keep coming up with

sillier and sillier Hanna Berbera jokes to throw

into it, so I keep moving stuff around. I mean,

I put stuff up on Facebook. You can see where

I'm just playing around with background paintings,

making it look like a Hanna Berbera cartoon.

So that'll be on DCN .com, hopefully on January

1st. Instead, I was originally going to have

it running this week, but instead I have something

by Pablo, my friend Pablo Prano. I have updates

going pretty much daily. So even when I fall

behind, I still have content. Awesome. I think

for Halloween in 2015, you need to do some sort

of spoof of 13 ghosts. Oh, no. Next year for

Christmas, I want to do like a spoof of the Star

Wars holiday special. I want to do a whole comic

that looks like it's in long play VHS format.

Oh my god. Bad, blurry. Why Lucas ever approved

that is beyond me. I think he was just asleep

at the wheel and... Rick took over. Rick fucking

McCallum. I was gonna say, I saw the credits

for that show on best of the worst red letter

media show and I didn't recognize any names in

the credits so I don't know how that got past

Lucas. But it just been like 20th century Fox

running wild. There's a bad Hulk Hogan joke in

there somewhere. All right, let's go ahead and

close this one out. Hope everyone had a Merry

Christmas, Happy Holidays, Happy New Year. We'll

be back sometime, it's looking like maybe the

end of January, the final two Thursdays. We'll

be back with Mega Man episodes. So the next era

of pixels animation is going to be beginning

then. Until then, I am TFG and Mike with TB's

the palm of your hand. Check it out. The Plumbers
