About this Episode

TFJ Mike and TV’s Mr. Neil return to the Mushroom Kingdom to watch and discuss the first three episodes of The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3. The hosts break down "Sneaky Lying Cheatin' Giant Ninja Koopas," "Reptiles in the Rose Garden," and "Mind Your Mummy Mommy, Mario." They analyze the animation style, the introduction of the Koopa Kids, and the show's departure from the established Super Mario Bros. 3 game lore. The duo also addresses listener feedback regarding Captain N: The Game Master and future episode possibilities.

It is a legend no one will forget. Everyone thought

King Koopa had left the Mushroom Kingdom. And

then his dualship attacked. King Koopa was back

with the greatest danger ever known. His Koopa

Kings. Using their new superpowers, the Super

Mario Brothers rescued Princess Toadstool and

beat back the evil Koopa family. Hello and welcome

to the latest episode of pixels in the animation

I am one of the hosts TFJ and Mike and joining

me in this epic journey this epic return to the

Mushroom Kingdom is TV's mr. Neil my cage What

happened to my cage? It's just what everyone

needs a super giant ninja parrot You know, I'll

say this about this series is that it's clear

that they unlike the super show it's clear that

they played the game yeah, and I think what it

is is that Super Mario Brothers 3 actually came

out in 1988 in Japan and you can see it in the

Right at the bottom of the screen when you boot

up the game. It's this copyright 1998 and 1988

Yeah, and that I think what they did was they

got like they got one of those honeybee converters

and they bought the Famicom version And they

must have been playing that while they were producing

the show, because it's obvious that they understood

the game. And in fact, that's kind of my theory

on the wizard, Jenny Lewis. That's how she knew

about the warp whistle. She's secretly the most

savvy person in that movie. She's the pirate

character. Oh, boy. So we are going to be talking

about the first three episodes of the adventures

of Super Mario Brothers 3 But before that we

do have some feedback. I called out after I released

episode 32 a couple weeks ago I called out for

feedback on Captain N and long time GCR and fan

Patrick had sent us an email sent it to me I

didn't forward it to you, but He says I love

PETA. I love the PETA podcast are your your reviews

Of these great and not -so -great video game

cartoons, here are my thoughts on Captain N.

I watched this show when I was a kid, in the

day of Saturday morning cartoons. I liked seasons

1 to 2 due to the fact it had great stories and

guests from most of the Nintendo games we love.

While season 3, half of it had bad animation,

10 minutes of no plots, the series did make Link

and Zelda better than their Super Show counterparts.

They could have added Mario in an episode at

least in a brief appearance or appearance or

cameo I don't know why they never did that like

I know they used all the Mario sound effects

in Captain N Yeah, and they referenced the game

one time. I don't know why they never I don't

know I guess they just wanted that wall of separation

to stay I guess Patrick goes on to say the end

team is sort of small video game version of the

Avengers with an ego jerk like Simon as the guy

gardener of the team. Well, that would be a DC

Marvel crossover right there. He goes on to say

Mega Man is okay, but get rid of all the mega

lines in his speeches. I know Deke slash Cookie

Jar didn't have the rights to make Mega Man blue

since he's called the Blue Bomber, but the most

and most of the reasons all the robot masters

don't look cool. And it's probably most of the

reasons why most of the robot masters don't look

like what they are in the games He asks he basically

is telling me that the voice of Lana is is Venus

Terzo. Yeah, I found that out after the very

first episode He says he has a few questions

for us. Are we going to review Wreck -It Ralph

on PETA? He says he thinks that he thinks that

this would be a good bonus episode for the show

I'm not sure how we're gonna handle Wreck -It

Ralph Originally it was going to be an M -Wire

Off the Cuff crossover. Off the Cuff is our general

video game show that has actually returned for

the last three weeks, I think. But I'm not sure

how we're going to do that. As a bonus episode,

it would be fine. I'm just not sure as of yet.

He says, what are your thoughts of the Sly Cooper

and Ratchet and Clank movie trailers? I have

not seen them. Have you seen them? No. Yeah,

sorry Patrick. We haven't seen those yet. You

know says that's all oh good I was gonna say

that I don't think it's that deep didn't have

the rights to the Megaman characters I think

what it was is that They wanted to make their

own renditions of those characters so that later

on when they you know wanted to put it in syndication

or whatever they didn't have to They didn't have

to clear any likeness They just had their own

versions of the character that they could grow

out there And one thing about Off the Cuff, one

of those guys said that they could beat Battletoads

without any continues or something like that.

I still want to see that happen, guys. I have

not forgotten. You should comment on one of their

most recent episodes. They just released episode

47, 48, and 49 over the last three weeks. I'll

say this now, I loved Wreck -It Ralph, not just

because of the video game homages that is in

the movie, but for how interesting the movie

was on its own. But yeah, it's something we'll

have to explore in the future. It says, that's

all for now, can't wait for Mario 3. P .S. I

give PETA 4 stars. Wait, why not 5? Anyway. So,

Super Mario Bros. 3. The Adventures of Super

Mario Bros. 3. I know we gave the kind of history

lesson at the end of episode 32, but I figure

we can kind of talk briefly about the game here

because... I remember when this thing came out,

it was gangbusters to even get a copy. Oh yeah.

It was wild. My cousin Robbie, his friend Matt

had a copy and he would always bring it over

to my cousin's house and we would always sit

there and play it. We would get up to about Skyland

and then... By that time Iceland was just no

and don't even get me started on pipeline Dark

land you need a lot of P wings That's that's

the easiest way to to get through that you know

I In preparation for this I've been playing the

Super Mario all -stars version And I actually

went back to see what the differences are graphically

between that and the original version and It's

not that, it's not that different actually. Well

the backgrounds are. No, the game itself, the

gameplay, the levels, none of that's really different

except for the graphics and, you know, the background

design. And I'm sitting here playing it and playing

it and playing it and having a blast and all

this and all that, but I just remember it was

like... That was a little kid's, you know, back

in 90... 91, somewhere around there, I think.

That was a little kid's holy grail for video

games, because everybody wanted that game. Did

they ever... I don't remember if they were...

I think they were out of selling the NES at that

point, weren't they? Weren't they gearing up

for Super? They were gearing up for Super. The

NES stayed on the market for another three years,

I want to say. There was definitely a second

model NES that came out way after Mario 3. Yeah,

and there were a couple of other bundles that

came out as well There was a four -player bundle

that came out after Mario 3 came out I'm really

surprised. I never saw any Mario 3 bundles There

was a Mario 3 bundle that in fact that was the

game that finally knocked Mario Duck Hunt out

of the pack Interesting interesting interesting

um yeah, I remember after super came out when

they released a newer version of the NES that

looked just like the super but it was for the

NES right so all right we're gonna get into these

episodes after this It's time for you kids to

be zapped back to normal size! Oh, Pop! We're

having such fun being Stinky Lions eating giant

Ninja Koopas! Couldn't we stay like this and

go capture a couple more kingdoms? That's a cruel,

rotten, disgusting idea. And I love it! I'll

use this ninja wand later. First up today is

Sneaky Lion Cheatin' Giant Ninja Koopas. Now,

I guarantee you folks, for this entire run of

this cartoon for episodes 33 through 40 or 41,

something like that, I guarantee you, I'm going

to call the kids by multiple of their names.

Oh yeah, it's totally going to be like Peach

and Toadstool the whole way. Only worse for the

Koopa kids. It's gonna be worse for the Koopa

kids cuz one time she'll be cootie pie the next

time she'll actually you know what honestly I

think she's the only one that that I probably

won't ever mix up but it's like hip and hop and

bully and Big Mouth and Roy and Ludwig and blah

-blah -blah so sneaky lion cheating giant ninja

Koopas Koopa turns Ludwig, Roy, Morton, and Larry

into gigantic ninjas to apprehend Prince Hugo

the Huge of Giant Land. Okay, this is a kidnapping

plot, I guess. And they turn him into a poodle.

That's not the only time that happens. Oh, yeah,

I know episode later with the ice king. Yeah

Actually, that's that's one of the main differences

between the NES and SNES version is that in the

in the original NES version They actually do

turn the Kings into like different animals In

the SNES version they turn them into characters

from Super Mario 2 and Super Mario World Yeah,

yeah So As a first episode, I like it. I love,

love that opening. That's one of the best cartoon

openings ever for me. Cause it brings you into

the show. You know, King Koopa is back. Yeah,

it's a legend. No one will forget King Koopa

is back. And this time he brought the greatest

danger ever known is Koopa kids. Um, I'll have

the Koopa kids. I know they were in 3, and I

know they were in World. Have they progressed

to current day at all? They are in the new Mario

Kart. Oh, wow. And they were also in Yoshi's

Safari. Oh, okay. And I know they've made other

appearances since then. They might be in Superstar

Saga, but I don't remember. So what do you think

of the plot here? Well, it's a story. I don't

know. It's kind of silly. It's kind of like what

I would expect from a launching point where they're

introducing the new show. And I noticed there

was a point where he kind of addresses them all

by name and all the new Koopa kids that is and

talking about Bowser. Oh, that's the one thing

is that now they're starting to call him Bowser

on the show. but very rarely. They're still keeping

the thing where he's King Koopa, but every now

and then they're like, look, Bowser Koopa, you

know. But you asked about the story. I don't

know. It's kind of like typical 90s Saturday

morning fair. It's nothing really groundbreaking,

but it's, I don't know, it's better than Super

Show stuff. So your head didn't explode with

this one? Yeah, it's just kind of like I I watched

this and I really didn't know what to say because

I don't have a Really negative reaction to it,

but it wasn't like it didn't blow me away either

It's just really I'm really surprised as a first

episode Even though we see all of them in the

introduction. I'm really surprised it was only

Four of the boys like instead of like I wish

they would have shown all seven but You know

hip and hop and cootie pie were off somewhere

else. Yeah. Well, they were there It's just that

they were kind of like off to the side and cootie

pie does get her own episode very short she gets

several episodes and They are all very very bad

One of them is so bad that they had to bring

in the Limp Sinkers. Oh god Alright, for this

series we are calling the good moments and the

bad moments the following. The good moments are

going to be super leaves and the bad moments

are going to be petuis. We may change it, I don't

know. I was trying to think of something that

wasn't just fire flowers and goombas because

sure we have para goombas now but... very rarely

in this show because they want to you know show

off the new power of this you know the raccoon

mario the record luigi very little do we ever

see a fire flower be used in the series if at

all i know it's in the series of seen it once

at least right on the i'm not saying it's not

in here i'm just saying why it's not like super

show where that's all you had was the mushroom

the fire flower in the star now you've got The

Tanooki suit, the Super Leaf, the Frog suit,

the... I don't think they ever used a Hammer

suit in the show. They did. They did? I don't

know. We'll have to wait and see when we get

there. They'll know when you see it. Well, I

know they used a Hammer Brothers disguise, but

that's not really... Yeah, I guess. I know they

used the Hammer Brothers disguise. They tried

to disguise themselves as the Hammer Brothers,

but... Anyway. All right, we're gonna get to

the super leaves after this. That's a great idea,

Princess. You, my dear, have given me a million

-dollar idea. I always want the twin poodles.

It worked, Princess. Koopa doesn't realize he's

been tricked. So for super leaves, I'm loving

the animation. There are a few flubs in this

episode that I noticed, but I am overall the

overall animation aesthetic as far as how the

worlds look and as far as how Mario and Luigi

look with their new powers. I understand why

they want the princess there, but Toad is just

useless. Toad should not be in this. Yeah. Yeah

He wasn't in the game if you want to make a cartoon,

you know, you know accurate to the game kind

He's just useless. Yeah In fact, I've heard arguments

that he's actually not in the game because there

are the the quote -unquote toad houses in the

game But those those are like those are residents

of the of the Mushroom Kingdom I don't think

any of them were actually supposed to be towed

No. There are mushroom houses in the Mushroom

Kingdom, but they're not supposed to be Toad.

Yeah, it's not like Toad lives in every single

one of them. No. The one thing I forgot to mention,

and I will remember to mention this when I do

the plot every time, is what I love about this

cartoon also is how they use the maps as the

title card, because Giant Land is the map they

use as the title card, and that is so cool. Yeah,

that's another reason I think that they used

the honeybee adapter and the Famicom version

because how else would they have gotten that?

I don't think the game was even out during production.

Love the voice acting even though it's not Captain

Lou anymore as Mario Walker Boone does an excellent

job. Denny Wells also is still great as Luigi.

I also love the music. I love that they ported

the game music for the most like every world

had like The Darkland music the the desert land

music. It's so good What about you for super

leaves, what do you got? Um, I'm gonna say the

parrot the parrot was kind of funny I think it

was a good foil for the episode for an otherwise

kind of just kind of episode Yeah, I don't know

the parent kind of got on my nerves. He's he's

a stuck -up parrot I Don't know He just he's

not a bad character, but Did you hear what he

said you only I know you were really sad, but

it's like I'm not leaving here without my cage,

that is my whole life in it, my worms of something

comic book collection, my this and that. He said

he had a poster of Big Bird. A poster of Big

Bird. Wow. Alright, so now we are going to get

to the petuis, and yes I know how lame that sounds,

but we may change it by the next episode. We'll

be back after this. Who's been fooling with my

wands? Good, truthful, honest, giant ninja Mario.

That's who! All right, for the patooies, first

error of the series. Bully's voice comes out

of Kooky's mouth. Yeah. The other one I noticed

was when Koopa drops the green wand, which was

switched, the wand he drops turns red. then when

somebody else picks it up it turns back to green

and then at another point it turns back the one

color is flip -flop yeah after Mario switch them

I think I've just so used to coloring errors

in Mario cartoons now I just totally missed it

this is normal yeah for me I haven't watched

this since I haven't watched this since shout

factory released the original DVD a number of

years ago So I mean this is kind of like all

fresh and new for me now But that's really I

mean, I really enjoyed this episode. I thought

it was a nice fun little episode I kind of wish

the first eight episodes of the series would

go through the worlds Yeah, like you as just

a little nitpick, but I don't know. What do you

got for petui's? The only other than palette

swap Luigi that I spotted in one scene the only

thing I have is something that'll probably be

a recurring theme throughout the series is just

that how the weird ways that they misinterpreted

the game because the reason why everything looks

kind of flat in the background is because Mario

3 is supposed to look like like a stage play

like you know it looks like it looks like a set

on a stage and they they repeat this theme in

like the the Paper Mario games where everything

looks like everything looks like it's just made

of cardboard that's why there's like there's

like props that have screws in them and everything

and the ba -bombs have uh have turn cranks on

them that's what that's what that was all about

and in this they just kind of like they painted

it in kind of like a 3d world but you know it's

like things everything's flat so it's just like

there's these big rectangular things in the background

for no reason so That's that's like that's a

huge nitpick. I understand but it's it's just

kind of like It just kind of baffles me how they

didn't catch that It's like they didn't they

didn't understand what that was supposed to be.

Well, well I Don't know if it was in this episode

or if it's in another one we'll talk about today

but when Mario was running across the music blocks

That was interesting I thought that was a Pretty

cool. All right We are actually gonna instead

of giving our ratings all at the end now We're

gonna give them after each episode for me as

a first episode. Like I said, I wish they would

have Maybe done the first eight You know world

by world as the game would go but you know starting

off in giant land seeing What kind of characters

are in giant land? Um, and just the opening theme,

even the closing theme. I mean, the instrumental

version without the voiceover. Love it. Uh, I'm

going to give this four out of five. Uh, and

what are we giving these? What are we using?

I forgot what I wrote down that we're going to,

we're going to say here. Uh, let's see. We'll

be ranking. Um, let's see. Let's give them hammers.

I don't know. It's either hammers or frog suits,

I don't know. Let's go with hammers. Let's go

with hammers. I'll give it four out of five hammers.

I'll give it three. Three for me isn't a bad

score, just kind of like, you know, middle of

the road. So it wasn't a great episode, wasn't

a bad episode. It was just the series premiere.

They're never that special. Yes, um, and now

we prepare for something that we will hear throughout

the rest of the series, Cootie Pie's screams.

We'll be back after this. All right, Baby Cakes,

anything you say. After all, you are turning

sweet 16. It sure is nice not to worry about

the Koopas for a while. Yeah, when King Koopa

gives his kids a birthday party, they stay Koopa'd

up in Koopa Castle all day. Oh, no! It's King

Koopa's doom ship! I'll see if I can stall them

while you guys... Koopas are coming. Up next

is Reptiles in the Rose Garden. Oh no. Bowser

warps the White House along with the President

and the First Lady to his castle and makes Goodie

Pie Empress of America. The grassland map is

used as the title card. Thank God the sweet 16th

birthday only comes once in a lifetime. Oh my

god She is so annoying Well, that's the idea

I know that's the idea but she is so annoying.

Oh My god She throws a temper tantrum he goes

and takes over America Steals the White House

out from its foundation the Secret Service do

nothing to stop him Not that they could stop

him, but I mean The army could have you know

sunken that doomship or they could have you know

fired a nuke at it or something But instead they

hold a press conference and you know, of course

the press just gathers like nothing's wrong And

her oh my god her list of demands It's so teenager

like oh my god So horrible. Well look at it this

way. It's at least as believable as a plot of

Saved by the bell You have it at least saved

by the bell had actual hot girls And they were

adults then so we're allowed to say that so don't

don't be mailing us about that Yeah, that's the

last thing I need is someone coming after me

saying, oh, you watch Girl Meets World. That's

a preteen show. No, it's a family show. Get over

yourself. Anyway, you have anything on the plot?

Because I just can't get past it. It's a temper

tantrum birthday plot. Oh, god. The only thing

I'll say is that I don't know. It was kind of

funny that the president really didn't seem to

know what was going on. I guess that was a commentary

on Bush. I guess. The joke about both president

Bush's that they didn't do anything other than

like march off to war. I don't know. But I don't

want to get political. But I guess that was kind

of the joke is that he was just kind of oblivious

to what was going on. Oh my God. I can't believe

it. got the first lady's name. God damn it, Barbara,

yeah. Barbara Bush is like the only one that's

cognizant of what's going on. The funny thing

is the animated version of Barbara Bush looks

a hell of a lot younger than what the real Barbara

Bush looked like back then. I mean, she doesn't

look like, I don't know how old they were when

they were in office. I really don't, but. The

animated version of her looks I would say Mid

-50s where the the actual live -action version

of the real Barbara Bush. She looks like she

was in her 70s or 80s back then because she always

had the white hair and everything else and This

one just it grades on me. It really does. It's

One of the reasons why I will never have kids

Oh God temper tantrums. Give me a break. All

right, we're gonna go grab some super leaves

after this So far super leaves I do love the

animation And as I said earlier I also do love

that they use that the world specific music is

to one land they're in Other than that this one

just Grades on me. It's just not good You have

anything good to say about this one? Well other

than the jokes about the president. I kind of

like that they They did some gags with moving

the White House around. There was one scene where

it's teetering on top of the Washington Monument,

and then it lands Wile E. Coyote -style on cootie

pie. That's probably the best part of the whole

episode, is that she gets hurt. I got nothing

else. It would have made that scene even better

if she had a yipe sign held up. Apparently it

killed the boomerang brother that was there with

her because he didn't show back up Oh my god

the the poor henchmen in this series like the

boomerang brothers the hammer brothers eat Even

the super hammer brothers the sledge brothers.

It's like oh my god. These guys just don't And

we'll see that later So Alright, we're gonna

go to spit on some bad moments. Too easy after

this. Attention! America! Your new ruler, Empress

Kootie Pie, has called her first press conference!

It's time for a meaner, crueler America! Read

them your new laws, babykins! must give me their

toy. Any handsome boy who does not ask me for

a date will be turned into a rock. All the gold

in Fort Knox will be melted down to make me a

lifetime supply of charm bracelets. Yay, Cootie

Pie! Recite after me, America. I pledge allegiance

to Cootie Pie and to the repulsiveness for which

she stands. Look, Luigi! There, in the White

House! That's the President of the United States!

If we don't get him and the White House back

to the real world, Cootie Pie will ruin America!

How can we help America when we can't even help

ourselves? They've got us triple -guarded! Leave

it to me, Luigi! Alright, so this President is

supposed to be the Bush along with Barbara. Yet

from the back of his head, the very first time

we see him, he looks nothing like the guy. It

wasn't until later where I saw close -ups because

you never actually see his face They never put

his likeness on screen But it wasn't until when

they when the Mario brothers were actually in

the White House talking to the first lady That

I actually saw a side profile of Bush and I saw

kind of like the gray lines Kind of almost like

a Reed Richard kind of Reed Richards kind of

thing. I was like, okay He kind of looks like

the real president Bush And the other one sweet

16 plot, which I've already mentioned several

times I do like seeing and I know this is I should

have said this earlier, but I do like seeing

the frog suit this early Even though it's the

lamest power up in the game I hated the frog

suit so much even the swimming levels. I didn't

really care for it But it made swimming so much

more easy. It's so much more fun It did but there

was a better solution to that in Super Mario

World, but we'll get to that in a later episode.

Oh, yeah Yeah as far as I as far as I'm concerned

Anytime they have singing which fortunately there

isn't going to be a lot of that because the licensed

music they can't use a lot of the songs but The

one in this episode called do the frog which

oh god. It was awful And let's see, what else?

Yeah, the whining, the stupid thing, just her

making all these demands and it's supposed to

be a joke on how bratty teen girls are, but I

don't know, it could have been funnier. I mean,

it kind of was funny toward the end when... when

Bowser started like scolding her and told her

to like clean her room and get off the phone

and turn the radio down and stuff like that.

Even though she wasn't doing any of those things.

Yeah. No, that was funny. Just the whole rest

of the episode just kind of wasn't. Yeah, it

was. And hearing her scream and yell and whatever,

I don't know if it's the voice actress or what

the deal is. That scream is more annoying than

poor Captain Lou and Danny Wells in drag, honestly.

Like seriously, I thought I would never ever

say that I want to see them in drag again, but

Jesus Christ, that scream is so much worse. Alright,

we are gonna move on to the final episode of

the day, which is basically a repeat of what

we had in Super Show, so we'll be back after

this. Finally up today is mind your mummy Mario

or mind your mummy mommy Mario also known as

the bird the bird yes hip and hop oh god ah hip

and hop kidnap the sarcophagus of a prince who

mario resembles their actions awaken the prince's

mother who believes mario is her son the featured

song is wipeout oh boy the desert land map is

used as the title card The only bad thing I have

about this one, and that's the only reason why

it's... Oh, we forgot to give our scores for

the other one, but we'll do that in a minute.

I don't even have any bad moments for this written

down. The only moment I had written down of the

entire thing was... I feel like we've seen this

before. Replace Mario with Toad and the Mummy

with a Birdo, and there you go. Same plot. Exact

same plot. down to the letter you know the the

burdo went the burdo babe the baby burdo went

missing uh... the mommy couldn't find it because

she was blind wherein this one the mommy couldn't

find her son because have been hot kidnap the

sarcophagus and she was just crazy she what this

mother has this mommy This mummy mommy has absolutely

no excuse. She doesn't wear glasses so you can't

blame it on bad vision. She's just psychotic.

Thoughts? That pretty much nails it. I've heard

people say that Saturday morning cartoons of

the era, they basically kept reusing the same...

story ideas over and over and that's certainly

true but you know another thing I want to touch

on was that the featured song was supposedly

Wipeout but for the DVD version and the version

I watched it wasn't it was Megamove it was Megamove

I thought we were done with Megamove god damn

it nope we're not done with Megamove Okay, but

let me ask you this. When we eventually get to

it, would you rather hear Mega Move or would

you rather hear Girl You Know It's True? I think

I'd rather hear Mega Move. Okay then, there you

go. Because the Deek in -house ban was not very

good. Yeah, no. I think, I could be wrong, but

I think this is where, like this series is the

final use of Mega Move. I don't remember them

using it in Mario World, because that was a whole

different ballgame. Don't hold me to that, though.

I could be wrong. Mind your mummy, Mario. The

only thing good out of it for me is I like how

well the animation's done. I like how detailed

the star maps are. Like it actually has a picture

it is a drawn picture of the mummy's face and

Mario's face as as her son And I love I love

I will never not say that I don't love the music

in this because the music is just so great Really

really is That's it for for this one we're not

even gonna go into super leaves and and and petui's

because there's just It's the same if you want

to hear bad moments basically go back into the

super show reviews We did if you can find the

the bird Oh review and listen to that. It's the

same thing. We would say here Yeah, they basically

copied and pasted the plot so we'll copy and

paste our copy and paste our review Exactly control

C control V CCCV. We forgot to rate Reptiles

in the Rose Garden. I'm giving it one Hammers

out of five. Yeah, same here. Only because I

love the animation and I love that they use the

specific world music. For Leave Your Mummy Mario,

or whatever it's called, honestly, I thought

I was gonna give it a one. Because it is basically

a copy and paste and even though I love the music

I still get to give it a zero I it's the exact

same plot with different characters as the focus.

I'll give it a one. It was it was okay You yeah,

there's really no reason to actually watch it

no No, not really. And to be honest, the Birdo

Mother was funnier than this. Yeah, that's why

I said this one was a little bit psychotic. And

I don't remember... Now see, here's the thing,

folks. I think I said this in the beginning.

In preparation for this era of pixels and animation,

for the last month and a half or so, I have been

playing Super Mario All -Stars to play Mario

3 again. And I've played Desert Land. a million

times but the only thing that the show got right

about desert land was the sun which is absolutely

hilarious i love that part about this episode

was the sun oh that sun was in my eyes no i wasn't

except that was the wrong episode it was in the

it was in the first episode the sun was oh was

it oh anyway anyway um i don't ever remember

seeing a mummy in desert land in the game so

I mean I I know they're going for theme specific

and you know plot specific thing here but there

was a dry bones in the episode but it didn't

come to life because I get the very beginning

and I thought that was kind of weird but I kept

expecting it to like come to life yeah all right

we're gonna take a quick break you're near some

ads and some other stuff and we'll be back after

this Give your mommy mommy a big kiss. Lady,

if you weren't so wrapped up in yourself, you

could see I'm not your little boy. All that running

around has made you grouchy. It's time for a

nice 10 ,000 year nap. I like long naps, but

not that long. Whoa! It's action. It's drama.

It's comedy. It's Decian, the superhero webcomic.

Decian's got superhero antics and sexy girls.

Read it now at Decian .com. D -A -S -I -E -N

dot com. Alright, that's gonna do it for the

first episode of the Super Mario Bros. 3 era

here in Pixar's Animation Episode 33. So far,

we've had one fairly good episode. Well, like

I said, I love the voice acting. I love how kind

of come to life the animation makes the game

worlds look, even though they're not maybe totally

accurate to the game. I love the way Bowser's

Castle looks. I think I enjoy all of the Koopa

Kids except for Kootie Pie. I have a hard time

telling them apart. Like a couple of like like

Bully and whatever Ludwig is. I can kind of,

I can make out who they are, but like all the

other ones kind of just blend together. Except

for cootie pie. Cause obviously, obviously. Yeah.

Um, bully and big mouth are the two that probably

confused me the most. Uh, but big mouth has a

little bit higher of a voice than bully does.

Um, hip and hop. I love them. And it's not just

because it's Tara strong talking to herself,

but I really do like them. They are really cool.

um... what surprises me about the koopa kids

unless you look at i think some of their shells

none of them actually are green like koopa is

so are they just i don't know like i know uh...

big mouth he's uh... like red and Tan or something

like on on on his face because his face has like

half and half one half is like a reddish tint

and the other half is like a tan pla I don't

know But I mean, I'm still enjoying outside of

you know, two bad episodes today You know, I'm

still enjoying seeing the series again What do

you get coming up on animation aficionados? Well,

we just released a Ghostbusters episode the real

Ghostbusters not filmation We've got an episode

about bad animation that's in the can, but I

haven't edited it yet I think there's a couple

of things we did, but I just forgot what we recorded

So hey, it'll be as much a surprise to me as

it is to you guys listening out there the scene

just got her brand new website didn't she? Well

it's about to launch as of this recording it

has not yet but it's it's on the internet hidden

away and the only people who have seen it are

people who have given the address to. But yeah

it's going to be launching very shortly and it's

much better organized so you don't have to you

don't have to thumb through a drop -down menu

to get to chapters. You can go to an archives

page and it's all right there in front of you.

Awesome. What are you coming up for stories in

that? Well, I just started a new one. It's going

to be a little different. It's going to be more

drama -ish. There's going to be a while before

there's any actual action. I'm going to play

around with character relationships a bit more.

The last one was just like everyone stayed stagnant

throughout the entire story. This one is going

to be... There's gonna be a little conflict between

characters who have been pretty solid throughout

the series. So it's gonna be very very different

Yeah, I don't remember which which release it

was that you posted but you posted one I'm like,

hey, it's night bird from Transformers Yeah,

that wasn't really intentional. I know it wasn't

intentional. I was like, hey, wait a minute That's

awesome. All right so Thank you for joining us
