About this Episode

OptimusSolo and TFG1Mike break down the two weeks of Battle Rounds from The Voice Season 4, discussing standout performances, questionable coach decisions, and controversial moments. They evaluate matchups across all four teams, debate song choices and their impact on contestants, and make predictions for the upcoming Knockout Rounds.

star coaches pair their artists to face off in

vocal battles. Hello and welcome to GeekCast

Radio. We are taking yet another break in between

the film countdowns. This will be a break between

episode 44 and 45. So OptimaSoul and I can talk

about the voice battles from season four. Hello,

sir. I am here. Yes, you are here. In spirit

and in body. Well, yeah, first of all, before

We get into talking about the battles this year.

I want to bring up some Trivia about contestants

other appearances in earlier talent shows now

I know this always happens with these talent

shows, but I didn't know it as much as far as

the contestants from this year obviously Garrett

and a Gina not angina, but a Gina Alvarez Garrett

Gardner and Gina Alvarez and sang in the blonde

editions of last year's voice the morgan twins

and colton swan the swan brothers luke edgman

and ajena also made it to hollywood week on the

second seventh ninth and eleventh seasons of

american idol respectively had no idea like my

point here about bringing up these past past

talent show appearances is the fact that the

the voice isn't just about and i've said i said

i think i said this last time it's not just about

finding undiscovered talent it's Finding stuff

that is also might have already been on another

show John Peter Lewis of might as fail finished

eighth place in the third season of American

Idol Amy Whitcomb performed in season one of

the sing -off which is one of your favorite shows

as a member of BYU Noteworthy and again in season

three as a member of Delilah. Oh, I know who

she is now I Knew that name sounded familiar,

but I could not place it They came in sixth place

in both seasons. Sasha Allen was a contestant

on VH1's Born to Diva, and Mary Miranda was on

some Spanish TV show. That was when she was a

kid though, they've already talked about that.

Anything not in frickin' English, I don't frickin'

care. Alright, so the battle rounds. The first

season for we're just gonna go down the line

through the teams here. I have to say overall

Overall, we had very different opinions on this

week Did not have much of a problem with it you

on the other hand we're not happy I was not happy

with the battles this year at all At all in it

and when I was watching the show I didn't even

take into effect of oh Who do I have on my team

that could possibly be eliminated or possibly?

I didn't even feel like I didn't even think of

that at all You know whatsoever because the whole

point of The only thing it did for me is it's

obviously I have my favorites But there's a few

that are on my team that I picked that aren't

necessarily my favorite favorites overall So

it gave me more of an interest when they were

actually performing Yeah So we're gonna just

go down the line and I'm gonna get my rage out

first here one battle at a time a battle between

Midas fail and Patrick Dodd The song choice was

burning love another Elvis song this year. Yay

So might as well versus Patrick Dodd. First of

all, I wish they would have done what you suggested

put the duos against each other Because I hate

when a duo goes up against a single artist. Those

bastards basically drowned out Patrick. The only

time I ever heard Patrick is when he was on a

solo. That's it. on the choruses and when they're

harmonizing I barely heard his voice because

the other two nitwits were too friggin loud I

was I mean I don't hate Midas Whale like you

do but I was very surprised that Adam went with

them over Patrick because to me Patrick is just

on a different level than they are He's going

for them because they're different. They're quirky.

They're weird and he's hoping that he strikes

some type of chord with a different fan base

Maybe but no Patrick Dodd is the superior performer

here So this is one of the instances where I

agree with you that they made the wrong choice

Yes Now I should say this is night one of battles

week two. So this is this is all night one right

now Blake had a battle between Savannah Barry

versus Jackie Sandel The song choice was Little

Big Towns, Little White Church. I'm not so mad

about this, even though I wish Jackie would have

won or would have been stolen. They both did

an amazing job to me. I prefer her voice over

Savannah's. I prefer Savannah's voice and personality

better. Jackie was, I liked her in this. She

grew on me a little bit during this whole segment

where they showed the, you know, the behind the

scenes and the song and everything. And I think

she did a stand up job for what she was given.

But I think even she knew that she was beat.

Savannah's just, I don't know, she's got a crazy

voice for her age and her size and her. She looks

like this sweet little innocent girl and she

belts. I bet you 9 to 1 they'll put Savannah

versus... Yeah, I'm not thinking about knockout

rounds. It's too disturbing. I know, but I'm

just saying. Well, we'll get to that. Because

most of my people are on the same team. Yeah,

we'll get to the predictions at the end of this.

Alright, moving on over to Team Shakira on night

one. There was a battle between Monique Abidy

and Luke Edgman the song choice was Lady Gag

Me's you and I I was impressed by Luke on this

one. I was too I didn't have so much of a problem

with him this time like the Because you know

we said last time the blind auditions is like

someone has to just like they have to do on the

show For the viewers they have to like really

make an impact it really does depend on song

choice and I was not impacted by Luke whatsoever

I agree with what Blake said in the show he's

improved and he's you know you know where did

this kid come from you know so yeah I thought

he was much improved he surprised me because

we didn't really get to see much of him in the

other round and then what we did I didn't necessarily

care for but she I think she easily won still

Do agree with you on your blog though that this

was a waste of a steel He was much improved and

he was good, but I think they went a little crazy

with the steel on him Yeah, I mean even even

even even if usher wasted a steel on him. I wouldn't

I just think that The me that steel is better

placed if one of them used it for Patrick that

yes agreed But at the same time, I don't think

usher would have no. I mean, I think Blake should

have Right, but I don't think he would even even

you know even if Patrick was you know Which he

does or he has been doing you know playing 300

days at you know Beale Street and everything

else in Memphis It just doesn't I don't know

if because Patrick to me is kind of like country

rock He's not that clay you put Patrick next

to Warren Stone Warren Stone is more classic

country and and Patrick Dodd is more you know

kind of rocking kind of kind of thing and I don't

know if Blake would have allowed that to fit

in because Blake this year will get to him in

a bit but he's going all country this year whereas

last year he was just letting those country artists

just drop like flies yeah but this year he's

he's going all country this year but Usher and

Blake did press their steals and Luke chose to

go with Blake Also, on Shakira's team, we had

a battle between Chris Thomas and C. Parkins.

The song choice was, I think it's Bruno Mars's

It Will Rain. I like Chris. I liked his voice

better overall. What about you or your thoughts

on this one? I'm a huge fan of Chris. I think

he's amazing Any guy that has the range that

he does. Oh, yeah, that's just a special gift

I was pleasantly surprised to see Perkins though

Didn't get to see much of him last round either

and he did a bunch better than I thought I thought

he was gonna get eaten up by Chris you could

even I'm glad they pointed it out because they

even pointed out like in practices like as soon

as Chris started singing they showed see Perkins

and he's just like Are you freaking kidding me?

And I'm glad they kind of highlighted that a

little bit. So I was pleasantly surprised by

Steve Perkins. He did good enough to get stolen.

But Chris Thomas easily wins. Yeah. And let's

talk about the quote unquote most shocking moment

in voice history ever. They should be fine by

like some... governing body. They made a huge

deal about the battle rounds this past week about

how it's a game changer, it might even break

the rules, it might do this, it might do that.

They're gonna need to get the producers in on

it to see if it's okay and he does something,

he breaks the rules, blah blah blah. All that

happened was... See Perkins was pretty much walking

off the stage. He was almost at the stage door.

Well, actually, no, what happened was, it wasn't

even that, he was walking by. He was going to

give all the coaches a hug. As he got to Usher,

Usher just leans forward, slinks forward, and

just hits his button while he's standing right

there. That is not a fucking epic moment whatsoever.

It was not shocking. There was no need for producers

on that. It's not like you had to go to the producers

and be like, was it too late? Was it too early?

You can use it whenever. There's never been a

time set or a time. The thing that does bug me

about The Voice is during this round, I really

wish Carson Daly wouldn't say, now so -and -so

is up for a steal. Like literally, I wish this

would happen. The judge picks the winner. Carson

just... goes into an immediate interview of the

other person without saying so and so is available

for steal just interview them that way if someone

wants to steal them they can hit their button

at any time it doesn't put like the focus on

it yeah it doesn't put a time because there's

never really been a time where you can start

or a time where you can end so there was nothing

shocking about this yeah this was a bad this

was very deceitful advertising yes uh moving

on over to team usher to wrap up the night here

for night one we have uh Vito versus Jessica

Childress. The song choice was Renomar's Locked

Out of Heaven. She was so much better than he

was. He was improved, I will admit. He was improved

compared to his blind audition, but she was just

so much better. I think all the R &B... people

were were a pleasant surprise and vastly improved

c perkins and and veto and uh i can't remember

the other guy's name but they were all a little

bit better than i thought um i just think she

kind of felt prone to a song choice that was

not in her style uh yeah i just think that bruno

mars song fit him so much better um even though

i think she was a better singer overall I wasn't

100 % surprised that they picked Vito after this

performance. I was a little surprised that she

did not get stolen here. See, this is I think

both her and Patrick would have been better uses

than Luke. Yeah, exactly. But I was kind of torn

on this battle. Like I disagree with the choice

on Patrick Dodd. I've agreed with all their other

ones so far tonight. This one, I really could

have gone 50 -50 either way, even though Jessica

was on my team. Yeah. Um, and the final battle

of the night was Orlando Dixon versus Ryan Ennis.

He's the other one that was pleasantly surprising.

Yeah, he Orlando did improve, but I'm sorry.

Soon as Ryan opened his mouth and be, they pretty

much, they use those practice rounds at least

to me as a viewer. They use that footage to basically

highlight whomever they want you to pay attention

to. And, you know, they're talking about, you

know, Ryan and his past and, you know, his breakup

and everything else and, you know, being able

to connect emotionally to the song and whatever

else. And he did it. He knocked it out of the

park. I really like Ryan. He's been one of my

favorites since day one. When we first saw him

and he was really good on this song. Orlando,

you know, stepped it up and really pushed him.

He definitely connected with the song too and

found some ways to do it, but but Ryan's just

just natural I was kind of glad to see Orlando

stolen just for this performance. But again,

I still think Patrick or Jessica would have been

better choices than Luke or Orlando. Oh Yeah,

I mean, it's just one of those things where you

just People just I don't know They just don't

do what you want to do uh... i'm looking for

here we go uh... the other thing was that uh...

we had several moving into night two oh boy we

gotta get the highlights out of the way okay

let me i want to say what i said in my blog okay

the voice night two Whether it's blind editions,

whether it's live performances, whether it's

battle rounds, knockouts, whatever. Tuesday Night

Voice has always been an hour. Because NBC wants

to put it up against, you know, wants to put

something behind it and stuff like that. They

attempted to put this dumbass Ready for Love

reality show behind it, which absolutely failed.

I've actually been watching that show and I'm

not terrified. I'm actually somewhat into it.

Well, it's been canceled, so get used to it.

Just, you know, don't keep your hopes up. NBC

is currently doing this whole paradigm shift

where Ready for Love is canceled, so Grim is

going to go in its place. What I don't understand

is, instead of having to recap performances and

not give the viewers of The Voice the full exp...

I can understand in blind auditions, but Battles,

come on. They could have given two hours to The

Voice on Tuesday night. They could have. Or just

shown less. They could easily even do it in an

hour, hour and a half if they just show a little

less background stuff and more performances.

Yeah. The three that were highlighted, Michelle

Chamuel versus Chelsea Anne. I was really surprised

that that was one of the ones that they highlighted.

I thought they would have given her some time.

Yeah, well Chelsea I've never got time she never

even got a She never even made it that far and

she never even got a song to be featured on the

show I know and and titanium give me a friend.

I'm so sick of that friggin song I've heard that

damn song so many stupid times now Amy Whitcomb

versus a Gina Alvarez song was heartbreaker It's

twice that Amy's been passed over with highlights

um justin river and the morgan justin rivers

and the morgan twins i cannot believe they highlighted

that i can't believe they highlighted michelle

or the twins yeah that's yeah i don't like that

at all i just thought that they would definitely

show a little of those but uh so i have no way

to judge those because they didn't show me enough

to know who should win and who shouldn't so Mean

I heard enough of Amy's performance that I liked

what she's because it's heartbreaker as soon

as you hear two lines from that song You automatically

know which voice you're gonna go with doesn't

matter seriously It's just the way that song

goes The next big battle that started was Sarah

Simmons versus Duncan kamikana Cannot believe

they did that Adam paired these two Yeah, that

was that was interesting. Yeah, very interesting

And while Duncan did slightly improve Yes, Sarah

was so much better. That was a blowout. Yeah

Now I do enjoy when the coaches pick a song that

is an advisors song or if another coach And this

will come into play a little bit later in the

episode here. Or a coach picks a different coach's

song. So I did really enjoy that Sarah and Duncan

Sang wanted you more from Lady Antebellum. So

I thought that was really cool. And you get to

see how Hillary Scott was talking about where

they were coming from when they wrote the song.

Moving on over to Team Blake, you had... Oh yeah,

the only battle was Justin Rivers versus... more

than twins Great. There you go. Well That's it

for team Blake Shakira team Shakira the battle

between Shana P versus Brandon Roush Song choice

was Janis Joplin's piece of my heart again Brandon's

fair song choice Well, Brandon did step it up

and as as Shakira or someone said I said it even

for you know for a guy that song is hard to sing

Um, but, I did enjoy his performance, but yeah,

Shawna P knocked it out of the park. Yeah, that

just wasn't right. She almost looks like Janis

Joplin, she sounds like Janis Joplin. Whatever.

Now let's get to the catfighting. She made no

friends and earned no votes through this whole

segment. Okay, so you've got that and I'm gonna

go with ushers pronunciation You've got a battle

between cat T. Ah and Mary Miranda the song was

some Shakira saw that this is so dumb. This is

so arrogant This is so your your head is filled

with hot air for Christ's sake Shakira picked

her own fucking song and she's like, oh well

I'm gonna see what kind of different spin they

put on I want to see if they Copy me or if they

make it their own that's bullshit, right? That's

just so Total and utter bullshit and plus it's

not even fucking English. There's nothing wrong

with that I don't have any problem picking her

own song and Then during the whole rehearsal

thing Katya is like, oh, she doesn't know how

to sing. She's just being like She was a total

bitch the whole time I'm trying to call Mary

Miranda out and Mary Miranda handled it very

excellent like very classy Yeah, when she said

she can't sing, she doesn't know her line, she

sung all my chorus. Mary Randall just kind of

like tilted her head like, huh? Just like, what

the hell are you talking about, bitch? And finally

for night two over at Team Usher. Well, by the

way, we have to say that that was absolutely

ridiculous that Kathia, Kathia, whatever you

want to call her, got stolen. Oh yeah, got stolen.

That was so... Only because Usher had one steel

left. Yeah, that's So far I gotta say before

we even move on to the last thing of the night

So far, I'm outside of certain artists that I'm

liking in season four overall as a production

I hate the voice season four. I can't stand it

And of course the battle that got highlighted

again was ushers Final battle between Michelle

and Chelsea M and I just I don't know It just

no more highlight. I swear to God if they get

into live rounds and they start highlighting

shit I'm gonna be so even more pissed and rather

than I am right now because That was just They

better not friggin do that for live rounds and

granted by live rounds the The contestant pool

will have been cut down again, but still. It

seems like NBC doesn't know how to manage its

airtime. Yeah. I'm kind of happy. I've only lost

two people so far from my 12. Fucker. Looking

ahead here to the knockout rounds. Taking team

Adam first. Should be interesting. For guys,

he has Midas Whale, Warren Stone, who I'm guessing

since he put Patrick Dodd against Midas Whale,

he's going to put Warren Stone against Midas

Whale. But I'm not 100 % sure. And then these

only other guys, Orlando Dixon. And then he has

Amber Carrington and Amy Whitcomb, Judith Hill.

Sarah Simmons and Caroline and glazer. I'm very

glad that he stole Caroline in the first week

there I don't know what to expect as far as knockouts

with this group It's hard to say who he's gonna

put Orlando Dixon with Maybe Judith Hill I could

see Orlando Dixon and Judith Hill facing off

I could see might as well and Warren Stone facing

off and then I'm not too sure what he does with

the other four girls I think you might put Think

you might put Sarah Simmons and Warren stone

up against each other to see to test them Yeah,

like see if Warren can sing slightly outside

of the country curve and to see if Sarah can

jump into country I'm really undecided on Amber

and Amy so far. I just I can't decide one way

or the other I mean, I like Amy from what I've

what little I've seen of her, but I need to see

more of her I like Amber. I mean we we've seen

plenty of her so far I mean, the most powerful

voice on this team is probably Sarah Simmons

with Judith Hill coming in a close second, but

I'm not necessarily a big fan of either of them.

Really the only people I'm rooting for on this

team are Warren Stone and Caroline Glazer. So

we'll see. But like I said, Judith Hill and Sarah

Simmons, he has some women there that could prove

themselves to be a force to be reckoned with.

But I don't know if I see a winner on this team,

but knockout rounds might be interesting. I think

Orlando Dixon's in a world of hurt there. Yes,

he is. I'm going to jump down actually to Usher

next. Team Usher, he's got Audrey Karash and

Jess Kellner, who I could see going against each

other. And then he's got for women Katya and

Michelle Chamuel So those are his four girls.

He's split down the middle because then he has

four guys Josiah Ryan Vito and C Perkins Well,

if there's not some easy freaking picks there,

it's gonna be Vito and C Perkins Yeah, and it's

gonna be Ryan and Josiah Yeah, I mean I would

think and then I would probably put I don't know.

I guess I'd put the girls I don't know. I don't

know how I'd pair up the girls but The girls

would probably be most likely to be Jess versus

Michelle and Audrey versus Katya because I want

Katya to get knocked the fuck out. I hate Katya

on this team. I don't think Vito has enough.

It's not even about the fact that she can sing.

It's about the fact of her friggin attitude.

Yeah. I think I don't really like Jess. I think

she should go. I don't like Katya and I don't

really think Vito has what it takes on this team.

I wish we would have got to see Michelle last

week to see what else she had to offer. I think

Audrey has potential to sneak up. I think C.

Perkins, even though I don't think he's gonna

make it that far, he has potential to surprise

somebody. But the ones I'm really voting or kind

of pulling for on this team are Josiah, Ryan,

and Michelle. Yeah, I can agree with that jumping

back up the team Blake going back into alphabetical

order I was trying to save them the last because

they're the best team Right You've got Daniel

Bradbury grace ask you Holly Tucker Justin Rivers

Luke Edgman Savannah Barry Savannah Swan Brothers

and Taylor I'm I wish somehow you could have

Luke Justin and One brothers all in one battle

so the Swan brothers can knock both of those

jerks out Well, this one's gonna be actually

I think this one's still somewhat easy to predict

Because grace has that country thing Yeah going

for her so I can see her going against the Swan

brothers actually and I can see Justin and Luke

going against each other or a mixture of those

four and then I think it's down to the girls

going against each other as far as the three

young girls Danielle, Savannah and Taylor and

then Holly mixed in there I'm really not looking

forward to two of those girls going against each

other because that means one of them is going

to get eliminated and I really I'd rather it

be that I do not want it to be Danielle against

Taylor Okay No, I'm more of a Danielle and more

of a Taylor fan and I would rather one of them

go against Savannah Just then the best girl can

win and I'd rather the other one go against Holly,

which is a big task But we'll see what they I

just really like those three girls on his team,

but I just can't see Luke or Justin or grace

really going that much further Yeah Yeah, I agree

and now we come to the saddest team of all because

holy crap Garrett is on a lone Island Chris is

her only shot No, no, no, I mean Garrett's on

a lone Island as far as like doesn't matter who

he goes up against he's Sadly gonna get knocked

out which I don't want to happen. I don't know

I mean you put Mary Miranda against Monique.

I would assume yeah most likely Shawna and Tanya

Oh, yeah, I mean, I don't know she might not

do that because she might not want to lose one

of them But those two are the same type of singer.

Yeah And then I don't know what you do with Karina

and Sasha I would probably put Sasha and Chris

against each other Yeah, which leaves Karina

against Garrett yeah, let's I Don't know what

song you would pick there I honestly cuz yeah

because okay sure Karina was alright and you

know with the Melissa Etheridge rock song, but

you also have to find a song that fits Well,

it doesn't have to fit in Garrett's real house

but a song that he can actually perform because

that's one of my biggest gripes about this show

when the coaches pick a song and the contestants

are like I don't know this I don't know if I

can sing this right and and and then they have

to change it was I think the two most interesting

Knockout pairings to see is who are they going

to put Garrett Gardner against and who are they

gonna put Katya against? Yeah, because those

two are in a on a team that nobody is even remotely

similar to them yeah and i think it could be

dangerous for both of them because i don't see

i mean i don't see usher giving katia a spanish

themed Musical selection to choose from and I

don't you know There might be more of a shot

between Karina and Garrett to find some type

of rock mixture that fits Unless they put Garrett

against Tanya or Shauna that would be her one

way Shakira is one way of making sure Shauna

and and Tanya did both don't get eliminated But

I don't know. I guess it would have to be Garrett

against Shauna It depends on it. It depends on

what she what she wants to do and how she tries

to protect us Right how she wants to protect

yourself and how in who she wants to see move

on to live rounds It's always it's always one

or the other do you do the better pairings of

who mixes better together or do you do? The way

to protect your team and obviously I don't want

to make it seem they're not gonna be doing the

same song They're not gonna be or do they do

the same song in this one? They perform separately

Let me look at it. Hold on, hold on. Knockout

Rounds will air Monday, Tuesday, Tuesday, Thursday,

Thursday, Thursday, Thursday, Thursday, Thursday,

Thursday, Thursday, Thursday, Thursday, Thursday,

Thursday, Thursday, Thursday, Thursday, Thursday,

Thursday, Thursday, Thursday, Thursday, Thursday,

Thursday, Thursday, Thursday, Thursday, Thursday,

Thursday, Thursday, Thursday, Thursday, Thursday,

Thursday, Thursday, Thursday, Thursday, Thursday,

Thursday, Thursday, Thursday, Thursday, Thursday,

Thursday, Thursday, Thursday, Thursday, Thursday,

Thursday, Thursday, Thursday, Thursday, Thursday,

Thursday, Thursday, Thursday, Thursday, Thursday,

Thursday, Thursday, Thursday, Thursday, Thursday,

Thursday, Thursday, Thursday, So the some things

won't necessarily matter as much but it's still

trying to compare two people that are completely

different compared to comparing two people that

are similar It's still a tough choice for the

judges But I would be very careful if I was secure

to maybe not put Shauna and Tanya against each

other See, I don't think she's gonna do that.

I think she'll do It depends on it like like

I said, it depends on who she wants like I would

almost think that they would try to find She

would try to find a way to put Garrett and Chris

together and pick out of those two No, that would

be a damn shame because both I I love Garrett's

voice. I think is he's gonna great voice I love

Chris's voice as well and it's gonna be interesting

to see who she would pick out of that I just

really think Sasha and Chris are gonna get paired

together Yeah, probably You could almost pick

If you really wanted to get rid of somebody you

could put Monique versus Karina and get rid of

Karina So right now we are at 32 people Right

and we will be down to 16 After the knockout

Yeah, and I'm just really hoping that for team

Adam I'm like I said, I'm really hoping for Warren

Stone and Caroline Glazer to be two of them Blake

Shelton, that's my three girls uh... should hear

it's chris thomas and then i don't care and usher

it's uh... combination of ryan and uh... jose

and michelle i'm not sold on any of those three

but i'm at least looking forward to them i'm

sold on ryan when it comes to usher's team at

least out of his male contestants because ryan

just has that he has that neck for Yeah, but

the the soul gut -wrenching type of saying the

thing is I mean the dude could sing the phone

looking to get make you cry the other thing that

you got to think of as a judge Yes, is this is

the last time really that they? Yeah, yeah the

knockouts are the last time the coaches have

the power have the power in the playoffs not

necessarily because in the live rounds I remember

you get to stick out at the bottom or something

right that like Like the audience starts to vote

in the playoffs, right? Right. Well, my point

is that another thing that the judges might think

about when they're making their decisions for

this round is who is going to be more popular

with the people and who is going to get those

votes. And that's where I think Usher has some

things, because I think Josiah, regardless of

how good he is or isn't, which, like I said,

I said the jury's still out on him. He's going

to be popular with the people, I think. Oh, you

know, he's gonna have that girl vote because

he's a good -looking guy and blah blah blah You

know some of that might play into how they do

some of this is who are gonna be fan favorites

and who are not I believe how the live -round

voting goes is whomever Whatever because they

know when they're gonna throw some more spins

and change stuff, too Well, right, but the other

thing is well, they did that last year with the

whole iTunes and charting thing Because in the

live rounds, if an artist's song makes the top

10, they get 10 additional votes for them to

stay. I think, if I remember correctly, and I'm

not looking at any information, I'm not trying

to search for no wiki, I think how it works is

in the beginning part of the playoffs, you have

the audience picks. They get a certain amount

of the top 12, and then the judges get a certain

amount. Right. Exactly. Think that's how it works

and we can correct ourselves by the time the

next time we record one of these episodes is

after the knockouts Well because because during

the knockout and the live Playoffs what happens

is because right now, like I said, we have 32

Members left, right? Well, eventually after the

knockouts in the live playoffs were down to 12

Right. All right. So 32 it can't go down to just

16 I mean, that would make it down to 16 after

the knockout rounds. And then we'd only eliminate

four during the live playoffs. I would assume

so, yes. I mean, I'm not quite sure exactly how

they're going to... Yeah, I don't know. It's

all math. Math is evil. But no, I was just really

disappointed with a lot of the stuff that happened

in the battles. I just... I like a lot of the

performances. Don't get me wrong, I did, but...

Most of the people that I had already liked have

already gone through. But you still have people

remaining. Yeah. We still have members of our

team ready to fight this out and take us to victory.

Yeah, right. Only had five people eliminated.

You still have hope, sir. Shut up. I just have

much more hope. Asshole. Just have much more

hope. But we knew this was how it was going to

go. You said this was how it was going to go.

No, I didn't say this. You said this was going

to go. You said as soon as you pick people, they're

going to get eliminated. Well, yeah, because

that's the thing. It's like, that's just the

way it goes. Yeah, Sarah Simmons and Shawna P

and Amy Wickholm and Tanya Reynolds and Garrett

Gardner and Michelle Chamois and The Swan. Oh,

yeah. Yeah, I honestly don't think... That the

Swan brothers are We've already seen one duo

Eliminated I I wish to hell and I know this won't

happen because it's knockouts in its team member

against you now I really wish Blake would have

gotten Midas failed because I want Midas failing

the Swan brothers to go up against each other

and I want Midas fail to lose My god, I swear

to god if if might as well wins this whole thing

That will be the biggest fuck -up in voice history

I know duos don't do that. Well, but think about

this This is the furthest we've ever had any

duo so far in four seasons. We've got two duos

in the knockouts Yeah, that's never happened

before that's true But yeah, I I don't know.

We'll have to wait and see what happens with

the knockouts this coming week. Can't wait. Any

other final thoughts? Anything else you wanna?

I just hope that I have at least, let's see,

I'm down to 10. So let's hope that I have at

least eight more people surviving after the knockouts.

On behalf of the people left. I'm hoping I have

all five of mine. You have a better shot than

I do. This is the week where I lose more people

than you probably. Let's hope. Alright, for Geekcast
