Hey guys, Josh Blair. And Kate Anderson. From

Smeared, Inc. We just want to give you a quick

little reminder that Smeared, Inc. is now available

on Stitcher. Find the Stitcher app on the iTunes

and Android store. Take it away, Kate. 185 Stitchers

walking to a bar. Bartender says, we don't serve

Stitchers here. And the Stitchers are like, why

not? And the bartender's like, because Lilo's

not with you. We now present your normal program.

You're listening to. The Keycast Radio Network.

Welcome to a geek cast radio. This is episode

73. I am one of your hosts Tfg1 Mike joining

me is Steve Megachan. Hello. Hello How are you

good? Yeah, Steve has hopped up on drugs tonight

No, I'm on Benadryl because my sinuses are all

backed up and I had itchy eyes that were watery

and my nose is plugged so Bear with me. Yes,

and this is for now the final Syndication nation

spotlight here in GCR We are talking to the most

recent in addition to the geek cast radio network

Josh and Sean two of the three hosts from smeared

Inc. Hey I do have to admit that Kate could not

be here because she gets irritated by listening

to the voice of more than two men I was gonna

say that I guess she won't even listen to this

episode because there's four of us on this podcast

I'll just I'll just be real quiet. There you

go Wow, you gotta really watch out for the quiet

ones though, that's fine silent but deadly heads

who told Yeah, Sean is the equivalent to a podcasting

fart. It will vanish without trace. You know

what? I've been called the worst. So you know

what? I'll take it. I'll take it and run with

it. Oh, Lord. All right. So who was it that actually

started? Who was it that came up with the idea

of Smear Dank, Josh? Well, it was actually kind

of like a joint idea because the idea literally

came about. when Sean and I were at a place that

you normally don't find geeks. Do you remember

where that was, Sean? I do. If you want to get

as specific as possible, we were on treadmills

next to each other, sweating and running our

asses off at the gym. Yeah. We were at our local

fitness club, and we were just having this most

inane conversation, full of segues, which is

the foundation for most successful podcasts.

And we were like, you know what? People should

listen to us. That's literally what we said.

We were like, people would definitely want to

hear this. Exactly. I'm surprised you didn't

run into a few segues in that gym itself. I see

what you did there. All those lazy fat people,

like me. No, that's only, they reserved those

for the instructors and the owners. Oh, dang.

We I actually used to go to a much douchier gym

So this this one is kind of laid -back compared

to the one I used to go to Yeah, it's not full

of bodybuilders and WWE dropouts. Yeah with a

lot of I got I got the caramel macchiato muscle

milk. You want to try it out, right? Oh Don't

worry WWE right now is full of People that should

probably drop out That's right. Oh Lord All right,

so you guys launched smeared ink and improvised

Improvisational podcast March 20th of 2014 Yes,

it was a very very cold day. Yeah But was it

in hell? Well, we Chicago during the winter.

So yes, that is hell Move to Michigan. It's worse.

All right. All right. I won't Yeah, no, that's

definitely true, but we come from the same with

the same background we we suffered from the same

polar vortex All right, so you guys started March

20th 2014 Give our listeners the rundown of how

your show like what was the premise when you

guys like sat down and discussed doing a podcast?

Uh, well, I would say first and foremost, there

was a lot of podcasts out there already that

were comedians talking about, I guess, the life,

the lifestyle, stuff like that. But most of them

were standup comedians and us being Chicagoans

and the big thing in Chicago is improv. So we

did. We wanted to talk about improv and more

specifically because we're more on the south

side. I'm actually in the burbs I don't I work

in the city, but I don't live in the city So

but there's little clubs out here and there's

groups in the suburbs and stuff So we decided

to put like more of a suburban spin on it and

kind of a small town Yeah, and also kind of give

into this perspective that I think Sean named

it pretty well on our first episode was the struggling

perspective because if you look at a lot of similar

podcasts that Sean had mentioned it's all from

people that are established in some way or form

and We like to tell stories that are from again

that struggling perspective We're the type of

guys that you know still have to go out to audition

still have to try and make things and take Unpaid

gigs or gigs that paid next to nothing that you

know you spent all your money on gas And I think

it's just like a fascinating world and story

to tell and of course besides that we give our

thoughts on a lot of other subjects. I think

what Josh is trying to say is that nobody knows

who the hell we are. And we just pretend that

we're more famous than we actually are. Yeah,

like one way that we do that, we like to talk

about our background is that the three hosts

of us are Second City trained. Sean just actually

finished up a four week run on one of Second

City's stages. I actually have one coming up.

Kate is actually a graduate of their music conservatory

program. She had a nice six week run of a show

as well. So we do have the, I guess, the tools.

We have no problem reminding people that we are

from Second City. It's the only thing, it's like

a base for people to relate to it. I've heard

of that. Yeah, exactly, exactly. Awesome, awesome.

All right. What would you like to ask him, Steve?

So for those that are not familiar with it, what

is Second City? Second City is the comedy. It's

one of the more renowned comedy clubs in Chicago.

It's a lot. It's basically... It's not quite

the way that it used to be, but an easiest way

to describe it is it's kind of like a farm team

for Saturday Night Live. It's like a triple A

of comedy for the major league that I guess you

could consider Saturday Night Live. Yeah, that's

what I would agree with Sean there in calling

that the theaters. The school part of it that

the three of us are attending and have attended,

it's very much, and this isn't my words, they

call it sometimes the Harvard of comedy. Again,

I feel like I'm name -dropping again. Yay, community

college for me. Yay. I only read about Harvard

in books. I've heard about it in movies. I was

going to say most people nowadays have only heard

about it in movies. Yeah, that's true. That's

still a school? Oh, you ass. Had to throw it

out there. Didn't mention it before. I am originally

from Massachusetts and I can still park the car

in Harvard Yard. I've actually toured that campus

before. One of our elementary school, for some

odd reason, we had an elementary school field

trip to Harvard. Probably the most interesting

elementary school field trip you'd ever go on.

I kind of feel like Harvard has lost its purpose,

its shininess once they let Reese Witherspoon

in. So it's watered down and diluted. Yes, that's

exactly it. Yeah, well, if Matt Damon had actually

finished his courses, it might be a little better.

Still every time I hear that name. I still think

of Team America every time someone's no no yes

Someone says Matt Damon. I think of it as Matt

Damon Every time you say that we listen to what

we lose listeners, and now they're losing listeners.

Yeah, that's true Oh, please we've been around

for five years The only way we lose listeners

if we put out bad audio quality Hey, or or if

people that listen to the shows that don't agree

with us and basically lamb based us over our

opinions on a movie or Specific streaming service

that uh that we prefer over one over the other

because we own it Well, we don't own it, but

hey take a roll with it How far into this do

you want me to go, Steve? I don't want to go

too far with it, but at the same time, I still

want to give them some background. Here's your

caution. I was born on a political timeline.

Caution, what's that? No, recently, there have

been some spammers that prefer a green video

streaming service to the red video streaming

service. I myself pay for the red video streaming

service and I'm not going to pay for both of

them. I use both of them. I use the free version

of the green service, but we get several not

too nice emails about this and I'm not that that's

where the cautionary, that's where the yellow

flag comes out and all the cars just kind of

pull over into the pits. Yeah And this has been

going on from the same person for about three

years now it comes it comes and goes it's like

every now and then we'll say something about

the red service and then they'll crap on us for

saying something about the red service or say

that we're you know, forcing people to watch

one or the other. Honestly, I don't care what

streaming service you use. Right. I really don't

care. I mean, honestly, I buy crap through iTunes.

I would rather buy and download a movie or a

TV episode or a TV show on iTunes than stream

it half the time. Not saying streaming is bad.

It isn't. But like... In the beginning, before

I found the Red Service, it was like, I'll just

wait until it hits iTunes and I'll just buy it

and download it and it'll be, you know, whatever.

Yeah, it's legit and it's done with and you know

it's gonna work and so on and so forth. Yeah.

There's even Amazon is the one I'm starting to

use a lot more just because of like their membership

having so many benefits. Yeah. And that's the

only plug I'll do for that company, but that's

just, yeah. I keep seeing the ads for the Fire

Phone, and the fact that it includes one year

of prime with it. I'm like, wow, that's one way

to one -up the Apple. Yeah. I will tell you this,

though, is that we are actually Skyping to you

through my Kindle Fire right now. Wink, Kindle.

Wink, Amazon. Wink, Dunkin' Donuts. Wink. I don't

know. Just whatever will give us money, because

we do that a lot, too, on our show. We just name

drop and hope that one day somebody's like, oh,

yeah, we'll give you a check. But actually, now

that I'm thinking of it, the actual running joke

of our show is we say that we're sponsored by

companies that are no longer in business. Like,

Suncoast Records is a huge sponsor of ours. So

is Venture and Montgomery Ward. Yeah, we did

a spot for Suncoast four episodes ago. That's

hilarious. Yeah, I love the joke in um, I think

it's episode 17 the one where you guys talk about

transformers I love the joke at the beginning

of that one about stitchers. Oh, yeah That was

uh, that was Kate that was you and Kate. Yeah.

Yeah, Sean wasn't there for that He was in the

drunk tank. It's well, you know I'm Irish. It

happens. What are you gonna do? Stereotypes wouldn't

be around if they weren't real and funny I just

want to point out that the opinions presented

by Sean Conroy are not the opinions presented

by Spear Day. I'm my own entity, damn it. Take

me down. I don't care. So let me ask you, Sean,

are you related to Batman? I am not allowed to

reveal my sources and where I came from. uh...

as let me just say that my uncle went uh... my

uncle bruce is not too happy when i thought that's

all uh... that's funny uh... so what else interests

you guys i mean your show is all about improv

and you you talk about several different topics

but what topics interest you the most i guess

josh you go first i mean without a doubt it's

like When it comes to who is the biggest geek

on the show, I think that crown goes to me uncontested.

I'm very much a big comic book geek in that regard.

I love comic book films. Those are probably my

favorite things in the world to talk about outside

of improv. So that music, things of that nature,

but comic books is where my heart lies the most.

I would I would contest you actually going well,

and I'll tell you why because if you go with

the Stereotypical geek then yes, you will win

that but I am a nerd and a geek in my own fashion

with my own things Go on like no one and I'll

admit it. I don't care No one knows more about

NASCAR than I do even like the old NASCAR like

I know all kinds of just dumbass weird facts

about Cars and tracks and stats. It's not our

show but Sean present us with a random NASCAR

fact That's what I thought Come on you gotta

have something Well, I mean, you know. Did you

know there was a racer named Dick Trickle? That's

actually a true story. There you go. It was.

I did know that, because Tom Cruise played him

in Days of Thunder. Actually, he played Cole

Trickle. Right. I know. See? This is the shit

that I know. But actually, all right, here's

one. Days of Thunder is actually based on, loosely

based on Hendrick Motorsports. How he had a one

car team. He got a really good. Driver that built

it up then they got a second car kind of screwed

the first car So on and so forth for those of

you listening or whatever that no days of thunder

They kind of know what I'm talking about the

Randy Quaid character is semi based on an actual

Owner named Rick Hendrick because he did own

a car dealership. He sponsored his own cars for

a while so on and so forth I love that movie.

I don't care what anyone says, I love that movie.

That movie, I make the, I say it all the time,

that movie in Top Gun is basically the same movie

though. You just replace cars for jets. Yeah,

kinda. But you could say that for a lot of Tom

Cruise movies too, because even like Cocktail,

you could take cars out of it and make it booze,

and it's like, well, I'm the best, I'm the young,

stylish one that is the best at... Fill -in -the

-blank driving a race car fight flying a fighter

jet making cocktails. I find every mission impossible

after the second one to be interchangeable Yeah,

there've only been two since the second one including

the second one I like the first one But this

two three and four but all those now we got five

all those Tom Cruise movies They're all the same

premise. I'm the best at fill -in -the -blank

I make money at it. I'm happy at it. Something

tragic happens. Oh my god, can I get back on

top of my game? I don't know. Can I? I'm gonna

fight. It's gonna be hard. Oh, I'm back on top

of my game. I get the girl. Row the credits.

The Last Samurai 2. Oh God, no, please no. I

think the two strangest movies that he's ever

done that I don't care for, Eyes Wide Shut, and

I know that's probably blasphemy since it's Kubrick,

but I just don't care for that movie, and Collateral.

He was weird in Collateral. You see, Collateral,

I never looked at that as a Tom Cruise movie.

I didn't really either. He's in it, and he's

a big, he's, you know... But it's like to me

Jamie Foxx is the main character that I agree

with that Just just because yeah, I don't know.

Yeah, cuz you feel more for Jamie Foxx obviously

than you do Tom Cruise Yeah, yeah Tom Cruise

playing the same part since 1981 Pretty much.

Yeah, exactly Then once in a while he does his

you know like he does in tropics like he did

in Tropic Thunder kind of just goes off the deep

end and he's kind of weird same thing with Rock

of Ages where he was Stacy Jax which I feel is

Loosely based on him actually just strung out

and weird Well, like his Tropic Thunder part

I didn't even know it was him until the credits

start rolling and I was like, holy shit. He did

something different I think the See I like the

mission franchise I like where that's kind of

gone the fourth one was a little Little strange

the second one was my favorite. Well, they're

gonna do it again. So I know but You know spoofing

that role in gold member was amazing. Yeah Him

being Austin Powers, that was awesome Oh somewhat

of a good sense of humor Well, he must I mean,

did you see that? I'm sure everyone has seen

that VMA thing. He did that one year with Stiller

It's it's famous where Stiller places stunt double

at the at the MTV Video Music Awards I was number

of years ago. Yeah, I think that was right after

Tropic Thunder Yeah, yeah, I was like 2009 and

I'm vaguely remembering it. Yeah when he comes

out He's like dressed like him too. Yeah. Yeah,

that's it um... all right uh... yeah you mention

nascar and all i can think of is friggin sweet

daddy from jeff dunham oh look they're gonna

make a left turn That's fine, I'm used to it,

it's no big deal. No, I'm not making fun of NASCAR

here, I'm just saying that's the - like whenever

anyone mentions it, that's the first thing I

think of because it's so hilarious. I love Jeff

Dunham. Oh, so do I. I've seen him live twice

and I bought - I actually broke down and bought

a Walter. Oh man, do you still have it? Oh yeah,

he sits in my living room. And he talks to me

from time to time. He does! He squeezes his hand

and he says all kinds of hilariousness. Have

you seen the new ones he's putting out now? Where

they're actually animatronic? No! You haven't

seen those? Oh my god, go over to his website

and check those out because they're actually

animatronic dolls. They don't just... Like, as

my mom has... I got my mom the old Achmed plush

where he... Like you see, he just squeezes his

hand in it. It's a voice box inside the doll.

Right, right. But he has new ones now where the

heads will turn and the mouths will move. Wow.

Yeah. Well, we all know what to get Sean for

Christmas. Hell yeah! I saw him once and... He

would have done an encore except the weekend.

He, cause I, I, even though I'm from Massachusetts,

I've been living in Louisville, Kentucky since

93 or so. Um, and, uh, he came at the worst time

in 2008. He came the, I saw him the Friday night

right before the Kentucky Derby. And the first

thing he says as soon as he comes on stage, well,

uh, it was hell getting here, but, uh, We should

have realized that tomorrow is the Kentucky Derby.

Yeah, that's that's just poor man. Yeah, I don't

know. But it was awesome seeing him. I would

love to see him again. He's one of my favorite

comics. Oh, yeah. Thing is, is, you know, he

he says Walter files lawsuit today for nude photo

leak. I saw that I saw that earlier that came

up on my Facebook feed. What other comics do

you guys like? Josh, you can go first. Nick Offerman

is a favorite of mine. We're actually going to

see him in October at the Second City. I don't

know if you guys have heard of it. Louis C .K.

is another one of my big influences. I love the

Honest comics. Beyond that, I don't follow stand

-up as much as Sean probably does. I love my

comedic actors more, probably. I don't follow

them any more or less than you do, I don't think.

One of them that's on top of my list right now

is Amy Schumer, because I love her show. Yeah,

she's great. I actually think that she's very

attractive, because a lot of female comics are

not. No offense to those, but it's true. Shout

out Whitney Cummings. No? Good Lord. She's OK.

Her TV show was terrible. Absolutely just godawful.

But whatever. Dennis Leary is another one. I've

always loved his stand up because it's very real.

Because he just talks about shit that happened

to him. And it's funny. And a lot of it is relatable

to me because. His dad is wicked Irish, and my

dad's actually an Irish immigrant, so there was

a lot of things that I could relate to when I

listen to Dennis Leary's stuff. I don't know.

I just like comedy. I'll give anybody a chance,

really. I even like going to local open mics,

because you never know who you're going to see.

I mean, I'm not saying that I'm going to see

the next Jerry Seinfeld or anything, but... That's

what you said the last time when you saw me do

stand -up. It's a good night out. Yeah. Think

I said you were Kramer because you had that long

racist rant that was in the car before the show

And I think for me I I Remember see and this

is so this is back in 94 I think Like yeah, it

was 93 94. I remember seeing Jeff Foxworthy at

like some Like I don't know where I was it was

out, and it wasn't in Louisville. It was somewhere

else out in the middle of BFE, Kentucky. I don't

know like that would make it better. That would

well no yeah Yeah But I remember him seeing him

there, and I've kept up with him over the years

seeing what he does or anything else But the

one out of that group that I really, you know,

the blue -collar comedy tour, the one that I

really loved out of that was Engvall. Bill Engvall

is amazing. His album, oh god, what is it? Oh

no, Here's Your Sign or something? Not Here's

Your Sign, it's, god, it was the other one. I

think it's Cheap Drunk. No, I'm trying to think

of what it is here. Was it Dork Fish? No, it

was Cheap Drunk. It was the 2002 album. Cheap

Drunk and Autobiography. I love that album. That

album is so hilarious. And he's been one that

has gone on to do... It always kind of surprises

me to see stand -up comics or some people that

start out as stand -up comics in other things.

It's only one that does not surprise me that

they've gone on to do other things. Good old

Larry the Cable Guy becoming a voice actor as

Mater. That so does not surprise me because Mater

is so Larry the Cable Guy. Oh, absolutely. Alright,

what kind of TV shows are you guys into? Let's

switch it up and have Sean go first. I am into

probably everything that everybody else is into.

I like my family guy. I like my Simpsons, but

I like my Simpsons like ten years ago. Vintage

Simpsons. Vintage Simpsons. Oh, come on. You

know you're watching the Every Simpsons Ever

Marathon. Exactly. Yeah, I know. But a lot of

that is the original ones. But my number one

love right now is At Midnight on Comedy Central.

I adore that show. I play Hashtag Wars. If anyone

wants to follow me on Twitter. As Patrick Conroy,

I just I have a ball on that show and I would

die to be on that show one day I have kind of

gotten like This is funny because until Rob Paulson

and Maurice LaMarche were on Nerdist I hadn't

thought of Chris Hardwick since the singled out

days right? No, I didn't either. Absolutely.

Yeah, and I you know, I After that episode of

the Nerdist Podcast with Maurice LaMarche and

Rob Paulson, I was like, all right, cool, I'll

listen to this. And after about, I don't know,

50 episodes after that, I just felt that Chris

was saying the same thing to every different

guest. Right now, the one thing I'm really looking

forward to from him is All -Star Celebrity Bowling,

because it's supposed to be coming to AMC at

some point. That's the one thing that I'm looking

forward to from him. Everything else, it's just,

I don't know. He just, I think I'm over watching

him. I think what killed him for me was The Talking

Dead. Don't get me wrong, I like The Walking

Dead. It's one of my favorite shows. Not as obsessed,

I want to clarify that because I have friends

that are nuts over that show. I'm good with giving

that show my hour and an hour and a half once

a week as opposed to talking about it and analyzing

it. But Chris Hardwick, man, every time I see

that guy, I'm waiting for a zombie pun to pop

out his mouth. What's eating you after tonight's

episode? What tore you apart during tonight's

edition? I'm like, Jesus. Come on, man. But,

I mean, I'm not defending him at all, but at

least for At Midnight, it's not about him. It's

not his show. He just hosts it. Everybody else

does the legwork. He's not zombie puns every

five minutes. He probably would if something

came up with zombie on the show. Like I say,

not defending him. He's not ripping him apart.

I'm defending myself for watching it. Mean I'm

sure it's a really cool show and at first when

I first heard about it I tuned in because I thought

he was gonna be more of You know a participant

than just a host I mean if I'm gonna watch a

host for a show like that I'm gonna watch whose

line is it anyway the American version not the

English version Well, I mean that's that's I've

watched all of them. They're all good. I watched

them all too. Yeah, yeah There's only one British

comedy show I've ever been able to watch and

that is Cleese and Faulty Towers. Have you ever

seen Spaced? Not a fan? I haven't seen it. Oh,

I love Spaced with Nick Frost and shit, Simon

Pegg. I almost forgot his name every second.

It's funny because Simon Pegg's the more... Yeah,

you're right, right. You can just say, if you

always forget his name, I'll just say Scotty

from that one movie. You know that one guy there

that... The guy that's gonna be in Star Trek

and Star Wars. Oh god, yeah. And he was in Mission...

He's now in the Mission Impossible guys. Full

circle, gentlemen. Full circle. I don't know

what your guys' policy on spoilers, but Avengers

3 Simon Pegg joins the Avengers as Simon Pegg.

Finally! Power? The most cameos in film franchises.

Oh, yeah. That or Samuel L. Jackson. That would

be an interesting list to come up with. It would

be, actually. To see if we can find, like, who,

what star... whether it be television, movies,

whatever. What celebrity actually has the most

cameos out of everybody? Yeah, that would be

a good list, without a doubt. We do our top five

sometimes, or top ten. We'll throw that at Kate.

There you go. I know that probably one of my

favorite cameos has to be Taron Killam of SNL

in the new Ninja Turtles movie. Because that

was on the few times I looked at that screen,

I was like, hey! This is interesting. I Still

haven't seen it. I'm still I don't know I still

have mixed emotions about it the fact that it

exists and then the fact that Michael Bay had

a hand All right He's a producer his company

did the effects. That's He doesn't even have

an executive producer credit. He was Nobody wants

turtle lips And in Captain razor blade That that

that is the wall honestly Okay, I think I've

said this already on one of the other episodes

or one of the other shows The one thing that

I think they got wrong was the design for shredders

His faceplate not not his actual helmet his helmet

is fine, but his face looks like a giant iron

skull It's like Tony Stark came in there and

spray -painted all over it or something I will

say in my own enjoyment of the new Turtles movie

that the story is better than all four Transformers

films I will give you that though I The first

one is a little bit of a you know it's about

on level with the first Transformers movie to

me At least the Turtles movie didn't have, at

least Shia didn't jump the lily pad and jump

from Transformers 3 to Turtles 1, so there is

that. That is true. That is a good point, and

we can all get on our knees and thank the good

Lord that that did not happen. Since he has been

in Transformers, I really... on that guy. I do

not like him. I don't either. I liked him when

he was the prankster on the Disney Channel and

even Stevens. Yeah, right, exactly. I think the

only other film that I actually liked him and

only because he was in it for like maybe, I don't

know, less than 10 minutes was I, Robot with

Will Smith. Oh yeah. I forgot he was in that

until you said that. He was also in Constantine

with Keanu Reeves for 20 minutes. He was in all

of Eagle Eye. We're trying to feel better here.

Do not get me started on Crystal Skull, because

that'll be a nine episode part of me just bitching.

Okay, the only thing I will say about Crystal

Skull was I liked how they ended it. It's the

only thing, you know, referencing Connery. Referencing

Henry Jones senior. Absolutely. Yeah, only real

good part about crystal skull. Yeah, otherwise

blasts for me I Just I couldn't do it I I saw

it in the movie theater and I was just like I

cannot believe I paid for this and I was so Because

I love the other three movies I really do but

that that just hurt Even Temple of Doom? You

know, but it's, I don't know, it's, you know,

Short Round's got his moments, I guess. Alright,

who's a better actor, Short Round or Shia LaBeouf?

I think that's pretty obvious. I loved Short

Round. I loved his work in Temple of Doom. I

loved his work as Keno in Ninja Turtles 2. Cuz

I assume that's the same guy. It's not it's a

terrible racist joke at me. All Asians are the

same to you The guy who delivered your Chinese

food to your house the other night is Keno or

you know short round No, Keno delivers the pizzas.

You're right. How recently I went back and I

watched the original trilogy for turtles I'm

sorry that you had to watch three again. No All

right, well since you brought it up Three is

what they should have done with that is actually

have basically Fully port over the video game

turtles in time and actually have them go to

multiple time periods I know probably back in

the 90s. It wasn't feasibly possible. But there

are several moments in that. First of all, Corey

Feldman is back as Donatello. You know, there

are several moments in that where it's good,

but the fact that they had to rely on going to

some no -name villain in Walker and, you know,

the... The one thing that pisses me off about

that movie so much is the constant wet willies,

because the wet willy joke was out by 1993. It

really was. Don't tell my brother that. Overall,

it's not that half bad, and it's some interesting

trivia. And I know, Steve, you've already heard

this. I found out recently in one of our latest

interviews with Matt Hill. He was the suit actor

for Raphael in the third movie. Matt Hill is

Captain and the Game Master. The voice of Captain

and the Game Master. That was kind of cool. So

I recently went back and I watched these because

it had been a while since I'd seen them and I

was kind of in prep to go see the the new one,

and the first one still is my favorite, it always

will be, but what I realized about this since

you brought up Ernie Reyes Jr. is that he was

in the first one as like some, I think he was

doing some of the puppeteer work, he was doing

something that he wasn't on screen, so I'm wondering

if because he was in the first one they said,

oh hey well we need somebody for the second one,

let's just put him on screen. Well he actually

did stunts for the second one as well. Right.

I don't think he's one of the turtles when he

was one of the foot soldiers, but he was definitely

he was a stuntman besides his role as Kina. Oh

Interesting. Yeah interesting Yeah, we love turtles

around here right Steve well you like the giant

pink brain, but that's another story Why do you

have us on the show? You should be talking to

him. He's got some stories. No, I remember the

first night that Steve ever pulled that. Steve

and I have been friends for a while, and well,

it was on Toycast. Yes, it was on it was on toy

cast episode 87 when we were talking about the

turtles toys He pulls out the crank voice, and

I didn't know I know he does Beast Wars Megatron.

Oh Yes Megatron terrorize He does the Joker from

Batman the animated series. Oh, yes He does The

little creepy dude from the Lord of the Rings

trilogy. The stars! The stars! They're precious!

And then he pulls out Krang and I'm like, well,

where did that come from? Like my jaw literally

was on the floor that night. It was so hilarious.

Alright, what else do we want to ask them, Steve?

I'm single and he's not. But he can be oh god

here we go He's only saying that because my girlfriend

is within earshot And it's a real person As opposed

to the other kind Yes, we mentioned he owns a

puppet. I got tired of that because you know

you got to patch them all the time and you got

to make sure they're blown off and And you like

they get cold they get cold. Yeah, you got to

clean them and they get cold after a while You

keep talking like that. You can't have a girlfriend.

I know she's giving me the dirtiest weirdest

looks right now Shake it off, guys, shake it

off. No, no, no, I'm gonna make - I'm gonna go

a little deeper into this rat hole. He said going

deeper in the hole after you talked about a sex

doll. I said rat hole, thank you very much. Rat's

a -hole. No, but I thought you said asshole.

A number of years ago I had this job where it

was basically an apartment manager. Okay. So

we have to go in and, you know, clean apartments

and, you know, get rid of, you know... Mm -hmm

people and everything else and I like where this

is going we were We were cleaning up We were

cleaning out this guy's apartment that he had

gotten evicted And It was a guy's apartment he

had several female friends over like More than

usual basically it was a flop house and how many

hookers fit into a dumpster? Not sure we'd have

to travel to Dollar General to find that out

So this apartment has you know living room kitchen

bathroom bedroom in the living room On the white

leather couch was a modified blow -up doll. That's

the most PG version I can say without going to

extremes on the show. And it wasn't funny. It

was gross. It was disgusting. I was like, oh

my god. What do you guys get coming up on Smeared

Inc? Um, well, let's see. That was a great segue,

by the way. Sean will be talking about his first

encounter with a blow -up doll. Could better,

otherwise. But actually, what we do have coming

up on future episodes is... We do have episode

9 hitting this week. Again, Kate is off with

her woman problems. Is that an accurate thing

to say, Sean? If by woman problems, you mean

being employed. And she actually just moved and

she's planning a wedding. See, I'm on Kate's

side. Josh is not. Whatever. But beyond that,

we do have a voice actress from a video game

that's popular. And that's all I can say right

now coming to the show within the next five episodes,

depending on scheduling. We also have... Yes,

the voice of Ash Ketchum coming. And the voice

of Zelda. That's right. From what, the NES version?

Exactly, that was the joke. For a second there

I thought you were going somewhere dark that

you shouldn't go because it's way too soon. No,

we talked about the sex dolls, that's the next

episode. No, I thought he was gonna say Zelda

Williams. That didn't even pop into my head,

but yeah. We also are gonna be doing like a little

bit of exclusive because one of the benefits

of doing our show in Chicago is we're actually

getting more involved with like the film, the

filming scene here. where like a lot of independent

movies, TV shows are coming here and - We have

a lot of TV shows, not even independent ones.

Yeah, definitely. We've got a lot of syndicated

shows that are shot here. A comedy film, it's

called White Cop, that was filmed throughout

the city and was like here for a few months.

The director and screenwriter of that show, they're

two separate people, will be joining us for a

few episodes coming up soon. So it's like definitely

something we're excited to get into as well,

is talking about the - Movie and TV scene here

in the Windy City and what other shenanigans

we'd come across exactly Yeah, that was one thing

I wish that DC would have kept Nightwing in the

Windy City cuz now it's like Now Nightwing is

a secret agent and I could care less He is the

Nick Fury of the DC universe without the eye

patch yet. Oh Lord really is no hero All right.

Anything else you want to ask them, Steve? So

what are some things that you'd like to see or

at least that you have planned that you'd like

to do with your podcast as time goes on? One

thing we do have planned for early 2015 is actually

entering our show into the Chicago Improv Festival.

Just something pretty huge. It happens yearly

where it's like not just people in Chicago, but,

um, improvisers and comedians from all over the

world come and, you know, for the fest and we're

going to be entering Smear The Ink as a program

for it. Kind of like a, a live podcast, if you

will. Awesome. Yeah, that'll be cool. That'll

be, you know, as opposed to doing it in our,

our luxurious studio, we're going to be out and

about with the people, the people that make us

who we are. Yeah, I would vote for me So basically

you're gonna be in the basement of the the comedy

club Probably Yeah, that's that sounds good good

wing specials, you know it yeah But the acoustics

you know, that's that's where it's at, you know

The asbestos is amazing for acoustics Little

gravel to your throat That's right. Oh my god.

That's probably how it'll go, too. I'm really

not trying to date this episode of Geekcast Radio,

but as we're recording this, we are still in

the middle of the Every Simpsons Ever marathon

on FXX, and I saw one of the newer episodes,

because they're past the movie at this point.

They're, I don't know, season 12, 14, I don't

know, whatever. And it's one where Barton Milhouse

collect a bunch of dead bedbugs and sadly one

of them is still alive. Like, oh god, asbestos

and mold and bed... Asbestos, mold, and bedbugs.

Oh my. Yay. There we go. It's better than hot

stars, clovers. Hard stars, clovers. No, it's

hard stars, horseshoes, clovers, and blue balloons,

but the golden rainbows and the red balloons.

Hey Sean, your dad is here. Get outta here, sonny

boy. And on that note, all the links to Smeared

Ink, where you can find them online, on Facebook,

Twitter, all that stuff will be in the post description.

What is the name of your website, just so people

can go there directly as well? It's smearedink

.podbean .com. And I always like to stress that

the ink is spelled INC, because we're clever.

Man. Now I know why, when I taped in here with

INK. It didn't work. It gave me the ink blot

test. You got a bunch of drawings by, like, eight

-year -olds. Well, it gave me the ink blot test.

There you go. And did you pass? And are you gay?

His wife and child would say no. His body says

yes. Oh, god. Alrighty then. That's what she

said. You boys are a gaggle of fun, Yarr, I swear

to God. Yep. I... Steve, I don't think we've

ever gone this dark. This is even worse than

the Beast Unleashed podcast. See? And we did

not swear once. I did. I did. I did something.

You got no fucking class. Shut up, bitch. I'm

not done. Sean, it's your dad again. Alright,

no, that was a little dark, that was dark. Yeah.

Alright. That takes me to a place that my therapist

got me out of. That cost a lot of money, Josh.

1997. Steve, do the full bit for them so they

know. I love you. Shut up, bitch, I'm not done.

Oh god, what if Barney meant Beast Wars Megatron?

I would just hope that the deaf kid was somehow

there. Oh god, reminds me again, bringing it

back around to Jeff Dunham. They brought a bunch

of deaf people to see the picture. It just fucking

disappears. Oh god. Alright, unleash the geek

in you. We will catch you next time. I have no

idea what we're doing in episode 74, but it won't

be as awesome as this one, I can tell you that.

Aww. That warms the cockles of my heart. You

hear that? That's what she said. Yeah, that's

true. That's true. Oh, well, it was a good run.

Yeah, we thank you guys so much. Thank you guys,

seriously. The elephant disappeared. It just

fucking disappeared. You've just listened to
