About this Episode

We discuss three episodes from the fourth season of Knight Rider: Scent of Roses, Killer KITT, and Out of the Woods. We analyze the emotional stakes of Michael and Stevie’s relationship, the technical logistics behind a hijacked KITT, and why the final logging-themed episode falls flat compared to the rest of the series.

I've had one incomplete life already. It's Michael

Long. I'm not sure I want to live out my life

as Michael Knight anymore. Knight Rider, a shadowy

flight into the dangerous world of a man who

does not exist. cause of the innocent, the helpless,

the powerless in the world of criminals who operate

above the law. Welcome to Beyond the Night, brought

to you by the GeekCaster Radio Network and audible

.com. I am one of your hosts, Steve Jim. And

Mike, joining me is Day on the Music Man. Hello.

Hey. We've made it to another recording, somehow.

Yeah, somehow. Transportation is so lax in the

80s. Yeah. Not everyone can have a superior car.

No. And today we're going to be reviewing three

more episodes of Knight Rider classic season

four Two are awesome one is meh kind of here

Yeah, kind of here. Yeah, we will get into it

after kitten. It's the turbo boost this can't

be our table Allergic to whipped cream I would

have jumped out of a cake Well, are you just

gonna stand there with your mouth hanging open,

or are you gonna offer a lady a hug with your

well -scarred body? I don't understand. Not supposed

to. Devin says you need me. I want you to say

it. I need to hear it from your lips. I don't

know if I can right now. Well, that's okay. I

can wait around for a while. I'm a very patient

lady. What are you doing here? I'm on R &R. Bonnie

said my computer bank is overtaxed. Don't put

me through this, alright? saying goodbye wasn't

that easy michael the foundation has no need

for me until they find a replacement for you

for once michael just once be practical you're

out of work and you need free transportation

uh -huh yeah why not come on first up today we

have the season four finale yeah this is pretty

much the end of the show ladies and gentlemen

oh wait i'm sorry they decided not to do that

those bastards once again Yeah, once again, they

fucked it up The scent of roses after a near

-fatal encounter with a criminal mastermind Michael

falls into a deep depression and wants to quit

the foundation And of course he and Stevie are

married Yeah, this is good that this is good

that Katherine Hicklin actually came back For

this one. Well, but I don't like though. I don't

like near the end. I just don't like it Yeah,

we'll get we'll get more into that in a minute.

I'm trying to think when did they The three episodes

she was on white bird Let it be me and this I'm

trying to remember where exactly amongst those

the two of them were actually married in real

life that would have probably been in between

season one and two Yeah, I'm not exactly sure

But I'm in real life they were married from 85

to 89 What if that's the case then it wouldn't

have been until here that they would have Because

the whole my whole point here is the chemistry

between the two of them, right? You can really

tell That you know, not just the fact that they've

been these characters this entire time. Mm -hmm.

You can tell that David Hasselhoff and Katherine

Hicklund are really like the whole love story

thing. You can tell that they actually have chemistry

It's because they were married in real life right

together. So right No, I love scent of roses

even though the end is kind of crap, you know,

but but now this is Wasn't crap go away No, I'm

saying the end because she got she got she got

shot and killed Yeah, that's what I'm saying.

The ending was kind of, oh crap. Not saying the

episode is bad, I'm just like, one of those oh

crap moments. But yeah, no, I love this episode.

The plot is well thought out. It's actually one

of the better written Knight Rider episodes.

I agree. It's actually kind of like, OK. You

know and like we've said in the last 2027 episodes

They should have put this one at the end of season

4 instead of the other episode which I will not

mention But they should have put this one at

the end because What happens you know? Kit says

where are we going Michael Michael says we're

going home kit to family. We're going back to

the foundation because as we all know After Stevie

is killed You know, he's he's got revenge on

his mind Michael does he has revenge on his mind?

Yeah, and you know, he's like flank out the foundation

keep him shut down I want all channels to flag

shut off. He does not want anything to do with

them after that and he basically wants To take

out his anger and kids the one who has to stop

him and says you'd never live with yourself Yeah,

so it's a car that actually has to tell him quit

Well, yeah, but you can also see the friendship

between the two of them I mean, it's been four

years or so, you know what I mean? So it's not

like It's just a car the only Why do I see a

nitpick coming from you? Well, it's a small one.

It's a small one It's more of a logic. Okay whole

thing where We probably won't even do scanners

off in this in this room in this review because

there's really nothing like looking at this episode

even looking at it objectively just like the

first time i was gonna say i couldn't find any

scanners off moments really yeah but you know

you just mentioned it that he blinks out the

phone he blinks out the foundation you would

think every other episode of this point they've

mentioned that bonnie can you know remote control

kit we've seen episodes uh... soul survivor where

the little wimpy kid randy got remote control

of kit you know you've seen nicholas you know

take control of the semi so the semi and the

technology i'm sure i find an issue with the

whole blanking out flag altogether that kid can

just cut himself off i disagree with that and

i'll tell you what i don't know i'll tell you

why because michael was like look stay out of

my way this is my you know this guy killed my

wife so now i want revenge because you killed

me because you killed the part of me that mattered

to me i'm going after your boss and i'm gonna

try to kill him but kids the one who has to step

in and say you wouldn't be able to live with

yourself I know I understand that you just said

that like five minutes ago but my point is when

Michael says blank the foundation out you would

think that Bonnie would have created fail safes

for that not to happen is what I'm saying in

the car itself yes okay yeah yeah that's what

I'm saying you would think when Michael said

I I understand if he wants to blank out and shut

off like communications, like basically go radio

silent. I get that part. Do that. But what my

point here is, is that at some point, because

like you said, like Kit says, I don't believe

what you're doing is right, but I'll stay with

you. I think that should have been written as.

I don't believe what you're doing is right. I'll

go radio silent. But I, you know, have some have

something written in to say. I'll shut off radio

communications, if that's what you're asking,

but I won't blank out the foundation. Is that

what you're saying, basically? Pretty much, because

there's got to be some sort of, you know, I know

the whole thing is, oh, well, you know, going

back to Night of the Phoenix when Devin said

no, specifically you, Michael Arthur Long or

Michael Arthur Knight, Mr. Knight, whatever,

you know, the car obeys you. Right. I get that,

but there are times like this episode where cooler

heads have to prevail. I mean, yes, Kit was technically

the cooler head here, and that's fine. I don't

have a problem with that. But you would just

think with the technology of this car, there

would be some sort of fail -safes from even its

own driver, you know what I mean, to stop him.

You know what I mean? To cut off the entire foundation

and not have some type of communication. Right.

Or have an override. Yeah, exactly where he gives

where he could override that command and say

no, I can't you know, yeah. Yeah, so All right.

Let's get to the scanners Goodbye pal Michael

I may not be flesh and blood but I am a friend

and I wish you happiness, but I still don't understand

in a way Either do I Yo, Michael! You're not

getting away that easy. You got a goodbye party

to go to. No, thanks, R .C. I already said my

goodbyes. Hey, man. I haven't known you that

long, but everything I've seen and heard about

you tells me you're not the kind of guy to take

the easy way out. Now, Bonnie and Devin, they've

been to hell and back with you, man. They want

to say goodbye. Look, hey, if I have to throw

a flying tackle, you're not leaving them cold.

You're still hurting, man. I may even be able

to take you. Let's turn these scanners on. I

think it's kind of lame, but I liked it at the

same time. I love how Kit has to instruct the

EMTs. Are they rookies or something? Yeah. After

Michael gets shot, you would think that an EMT

would be able to take care of a gunshot wound.

But the whole time, you know, Kit's behind the

ambulance instructing them and monitoring Michael's

vital signs, yet they have the equipment to monitor

his vital signs in the fucking ambulance. I liked

it. I thought it was funny, but it's like, holy

crap. A car is actually telling a human what

to do. You know, as I said earlier, you know,

I really enjoy the friendship that we see between

Kit and Michael throughout the entire episode,

but specifically the hospital scene. where kids

like you know there's not much i can do if you

need a friend if you need someone listen to you

know that was a touching moment right there because

it it really their their relationship throughout

the years was was strong but i think this particular

episode got them closer only in a lot of ways

uh... Yeah, I really I really like that although

I like now there is a comedic moment. I kind

of like For scanners on you see the nurse the

african -american lady. Oh, yeah, take these

pills before I do. Yeah Patients that talk to

walls, but never to a wall. Yeah They'll help

you sleep and You know the I liked that that

was kind of cute. I mean I you know Um Tired

tired of getting that whole scene with Michael

Bonnie and Devon that that was just hard to watch

tired of getting tired Which one? He after he

leaves the hospital no he's well Are you talking

about the scene where they're outside, and he's

like, Devin, I'm tired. It seems I've been getting

tired for a long time. Yes. I could have sworn

that was the outside grounds of the hospital.

That wasn't the foundation property. You'll have

to take a still shot so I can see it. Well, the

reason why I thought it was the hospital grounds

is because he's still in a bathrobe. If he was

at the foundation, why would he be in a bathrobe?

No, that's true. He's usually in his black jacket.

Yeah, I mean, like, that's the only reason why

I still think it's the hospital. It may be. Like

I said, I couldn't get a really good, you know,

look at it, but... I like the fact that another

comedic moment where Kit's like, you have no

idea how many baby characters and wheelchairs

have bumped into me. The other one was, you're

out of work and need free transportation. And

Stevie kind of looks at them and like, uh -huh,

yeah. My computer banks are overtaxed. I'm so

glad that they didn't try to throw in a subplot

here where they were trying to... What's that

one episode with the fake the fake A fake Nordstrom

LaSalle where they fake it to the point where

Michael leaves and they look for replacements

for kit and they have Hey little buddy. Oh Yeah,

yeah night and disgrace yeah, but I'm glad that

they didn't do that I am too like I would have

taken so much away from the emotion of the episode.

It would have ruined the episode entirely. Yeah,

pretty much. It really would have. Now, I do

also like the fact that, look, especially R .C.,

R .C. actually has worked with Michael up to

this point, and he's like, hey, man. You know,

they wanna say goodbye and they've been to, you

know, Bonnie and Devon, they've been to hell

and back with you. And he's trying to convince

them, hey, look, if I have to throw a fly and

tackle, you're not leaving them cold. Yeah, no,

I know, that was awesome. You know, and I'm like,

whoa, RC, where did that come from? But it also,

at the same time, you could see the hurt and

emotional pain in Michael's eyes. Oh, yeah. And

I'm actually glad that they did this episode

that way and you know Obviously Michael says

just so you know, this doesn't change anything

and Bonnie says we know that Michael. Do you

notice? And I really want you to stop and think

TFG one Do you really notice that this is actually

the first time and I mean the first time that

Bonnie is really No, it's the second time That

second time that she's really cared. Yeah, she's

she's really cared. She's really cared About

Michael because the first time the first time

it wasn't a white bird Yeah, when he was telling

the story of Stevie. Yeah Yeah, and then this

time it but it was but in this particular episode.

It was a lot deeper Yeah, yeah So they get married

yay, and then sadly The gunman on the grassy

knoll that's not good. I couldn't see that scene

very well Yeah, I so I mean obviously there was

a guy with a gun and he was shooting he was trying

to aim for Michael Well, but maybe got Stevie

got hit instead. Yeah, it was it was Durant Because

the whole point of the episode the whole basic

plot of it outside of the Michael and Stevie

stuff the whole reason why any of that even happens

is because he goes to this data center uh...

to stop a break -in and the people that broke

in is uh... master criminal that was long -presumed

dead right and had a fake beard on and michael

as michael gets shot he pulls the guy's beard

off the guy thinks he saw his face and right

no witness can be alive bum bum bum so that's

why this is all happening uh... and devin recognizes

the guy Yeah after kit produces the face, right?

Yeah. Yeah and And that and that was the guy

that came and shot Stevie so now I have a question

for you Yes, we're talking about this particular

episode now. Do you think? That RC would have

been a good replacement for for Michael at least

for the fact, you know due to the fact that he

had been shot and maybe R .C. would have been

able to take over Michael's place? Nah. No? No.

You don't think so? No, R .C.'s back up. R .C.'s

not a star. Oh, you're mean. You're so cool.

That's wrong. No, I'm serious. He's, you know...

Because he was the muscle, really. Yeah, but,

well... you know yes and no maybe well not Michael

was also the muscle but I mean RC he's you know

he's good to have in a pinch he's yeah oh I just

want what it's gonna make a Tito joke I saw that

joke coming I'm like don't go there RC is good

in a pinch. He's good as a sidekick. He's good

as a secondary character. I don't think He could

have worked it as a starring role if if I don't

know I don't mean like permanently I just meant

for this particular episode Well, I mean he kind

of was in this particular episode I mean he kind

of was you know the one that basically stood

up to Michael when Michael was all depressed

and i mean he kind of you know and he'll have

uh... you know a couple of starring roles kind

of uh... in the episodes after not not directly

after this but as the season progresses there

are a couple moments where rc does get to shine

a little bit more right right but you think he's

better as a backup well the whole point of the

show is one man can make a difference that one

man is michael night right but i was just asking

Not because to change the the persona but just

kind of like your opinion when you saw this particular

episode Okay, michael is obviously shot again.

He was supposed to be left for dead again Yeah,

um, you know He does make it and did it was this

a different doctor when they came out to tell

bonnie and devin Because I swear that looked

like the same guy we saw from season one No,

it was different person. Okay, I was wondering

if that was the same guy the guy from season

one uh... yeah it was it was a different act

okay okay steven one look totally different yeah

i wondered if that was the same guy or if it

was a different person but i just you know i

was just wondering for it from from your perspective

on this particular episode you know michael is

shot he's left for dead he gets married and then

maybe you know devin you know maybe they would

have it written somewhere that okay look we know

that you're back up this and that we understand

that but this time Michael needs some help or

something and no because that's not the way the

episode was written the episode was written to

the point of if you look at the writing of the

episode you automatically know as soon as like

Michael has the whole point of him getting shot

and then you know going off with stevie was because

he wanted to what wasn't sure which life you

want to live right any all again the whole point

was for him to leave the foundation and and we

have i assume if that had happened we would have

seen some sort of other like maybe under cover

work or something like a mission here and there

we wouldn't miss you know it wouldn't be like

the full -time thing the whole point was so you

know he wanted to live his life with stevie once

that was taken away from him he has nothing else

other than the foundation right he had nothing

to go back to you yeah so bringing our i mean

rc did shine in the episode because i do love

the slow -mo with devin and rc the slow -motion

moments after after stevie is shot and they run

after ron lenz uh... i did like that i thought

that was great but i mean uh... you know uh...

no not for this episode no rc did not need to

be in the spotlight yeah Like I said, it was

just you know kind of my question towards you

on how you saw that Because I was like well,

what would what would happen if they put RC there?

But then the more I looked at it. I'm like, yeah

maybe maybe not Since since RC was kind of the

backup person anyway Yeah, pretty much But I

really you know since since we're still in the

scanners I would assume Really don't have any

scanners off moments here. Yeah. No, no, I mean

this episode is pretty much perfect. Yeah and

I really You know, like you said when we started

to be to begin this recording I Really think

that this was the perfect season four finale

Yeah And they fucked it up, so we're in the next

episode. Kit tried to kill you? I had to play

dead to escape. Marco, does that mean the car's

ours? Yes, we're in. All Kit's major systems

are malfunctioning. Your target is the convention

center. Oh, there are hundreds of people in there.

Marco, you'll kill them. Can you handle this

thing? You're about to find out. Pull the module

in Kit's control panel and replace it with this

one. Real steady. Why did he keep getting stabbed

by his anti -theft charge? We have seconds, Michael.

Hurry! Kit! Up next is Killer Kit, an embittered

electronics genius gains control of Kit's programming

and turns the car on Michael. Okay, let's get

the logic out of the way. Oh no. Let's get the

logic out of the way. Even though they took out,

they technically took out Kit's memory module,

his whole programming, bank of memories and everything

else. His main function is the preservation of

human life, specifically Michael's. So even if

they replaced it with a different program, there's

no way in hell that they should have been able

to have him go after Michael. There's just no

way in hell. Even if it was a reprogrammed car,

it was a reprogrammed CPU, it just doesn't fit

for me at all. Yeah, but look at what look at

also though, and I understand your logic I'm

not disagreeing with that but look at later in

the episode What he said that CPU is supposed

to do or was supposed to do it was breaking down

the it was breaking down the cars programs Etc

etc blah blah blah blah blah So he could gain

access to the car Yeah I like the plot. I think

the plot's kind of cool I think the, uh, the

revenge storyline was like, how many people has

the foundation screwed over? Really? You got

this many fucking people going after you for

revenge. You got, uh, Tanya, who I assume at

one point was trying to steal the flag secrets

from. Well, I assume at one point she was a mistress

of Wilton because that's something that we never

really got in Night of the Phoenix. No, we didn't.

Wilton does say I want Tanya and her friends

too. So we have to assume She did something or

she stole something or she did something to him

to even want to go after her right because Wilton

was a billionaire for the for a company, right?

Right. You got Tanya you got CJ Jackson. You

got Garth and Goliath you got Adrian You got

well, Adrian wasn't a former worker, but no,

I get what you're saying, right? Yeah you know

you've got all these people the chameleon yeah

the chameleon uh... but no i mean this one i

like the plot i think it's cool uh... this is

this is the for me as a kid this was the episode

i'm most saw i'm most caught on tv that this

was an episode i watched at least i don't know

it aired at least once a week uh... in the in

the in the reruns and syndication like i remember

watching this episode either right before or

right after an episode of Night Court. We go

from Night Court to Night Rider. So you know

that you know there is that but no I just The

overall plot it's it's good. Even though it's

a revenge plot I really enjoyed that and there

are a bunch of other things that are just really

cool We actually get to hear more of an angry

tone from William I understand what I understand

why they did that because that's the way he was

supposed to sound Yeah, but we actually get to

hear more of an angry tone from him. Yeah, so

you're right the plots good It's one of those

revenge plots, but it's like, okay Wow Someone

has literally found a way to take out a CPU and

put another one in but did you notice? That that

was Margo and not Bonnie. Oh Yeah, yeah, it's

so obvious because of the speech it's because

of the the tape recorder Because she doesn't

actually Even though it looks like I actually

think it was Bonnie. It was it was Bonnie's voice

No, no what I'm saying is like At some point

during the filming they must have had Patricia

sitting in the car like when you first see her

I'll have to screen cap before you but there's

a scene when she gets in the car and You see

her face for a split second that had to have

been Patricia because it looked just like her

and then after that when she gets out of the

car Obviously, it's it's Margo. Yeah, it's the

other chair. Yeah Yeah, you'll have to screen

cap that because I couldn't see it I didn't know

if that was Patricia or You know whatnot because

like I said you you heard this you heard somebody

flip a switch and you heard Patricia's voice

Yeah, and you know kit says Bonnie. What are

you doing here? Yeah, yeah, so let's get to the

scanners Why, what a day. It's not over yet,

lady. Who did that? I did. And unless you want

to meet a similar fate, madam, I suggest you

keep your ample derriere off my hood. Watch your

language, young man, or I'll report you to the

principal. Let's turn the scanners on. I honestly,

even though I have some little nitpicks here

and there, I really love everything about this

episode from Kit going evil to Michael sneaking

around the warehouse on the bike. Everything

about it was just so awesome. And then I can't

believe that Michael ever would say this, but

I see why. There's one thing we can do. Destroy

Kit first. My jaw dropped. I'm like, what? As

a kid, that commercial break was agonizing. I

ain't your pal. You just said ain't. You must

be sick. There must be something wrong with it.

Yeah, there must be something wrong with you.

Did you notice that... I do wonder how they changed

his voice. Think it was just it might have just

been him using like a deeper tone I'm it might

be some if sort of synthesizer or vocoder But

I was gonna say if somebody knows like that type

of work, you know Let us know send us an email

or something because I'd love to know how they

got William to do that because William does have

a deep voice but Yeah, I if someone knows that

let us know Did you notice that? barrios bus

engine when the engine noise when We get to the

point in the episode where they're oh my god.

They're going to come after us We need to get

the hell out of here when it pulls away. It's

the Goliath engine noise Yeah, it's the Goliath

engine noise. What is you like about this one?

You know when Michaels talking about plotting

the fastest course so they can get to wherever

they need to go and he's like Really? It's right

there. All you have to look all you have to do

is look at the monitor Yeah, and Michaels like

what? I like that just because it was like kind

of the sarcastic thing, you know It's the other

thing I liked is when It's right before It's

right before Michael got the CPU changed the

memory Yeah, right before they should right before

they crashed into Devin's podium. Yeah He's like,

you know, he's like I don't intend to slow down

your weight is slowing me Yeah, I liked that

The one scary thing and I won't really say that

this is a scanner's off moment because it isn't

But do you notice that when Michael was trying

to? Stop kit from driving They almost hit a lady

in a wheelchair because I was looking at that

scene like oh my god You know somebody's gonna

have to stop either this lady with you know,

that's pushing this wheelchair Yeah, or they're

gonna run into something, you know, so Yeah,

yeah, I did notice that and the funny thing about

that is is that Just everything evil kit does

is just awesome, you know as much as we As much

as we love car. We know car is always going to

be evil, but just seeing kit Evil that's just

so freaking cool. Yeah It's the only and you'll

notice though to you the only thing that Bonnie

had control of was the sunroof Yeah Yeah, which

is weird, which was strange because you'd think

that and like you said it goes back to logic

if you think about it and in burial is supposed

to have control of the car the sunroof wouldn't

Allow it wouldn't have been allowed to be opened

by Bonnie, right? Yeah So I just was like, okay,

wait, burial is supposed to have control of kit,

but Bonnie can't access anything but the sun

roof. Something doesn't seem right there. Yeah.

But other than that, I mean, other than that,

the episode's good. There's nothing really bad

I can say about it. Yeah, I'm actually I'm trying

to make sure that my facts are correct here.

I could. Yeah. Was right, but yeah, why what

I? Told you this off -air. Oh god months ago

Okay, the crossing guard that was pushing the

wheelchair that first Started sitting on kit

and he's like it ain't over yet late Yeah, the

lady the lady who played um the crossing guard

was Anne Ramsey yeah who played mama from from

mama from the train It's not over yet, lady.

Yeah. Watch your language or I'll report you

to the principal. Yeah. I found it really interesting

seeing her in a Knight Rider episode. That was

pretty awesome. The only thing for scanners off

I have is something you pointed out and I didn't

believe you at first and sadly. Was I right,

you bastard? On this one only, though. Oh, damn

it! Well, we had a fan, I think it was, someone

commented on one of the other posts, I think

it was when we were talking about, way back when

we were talking about Night of the Juggernaut,

someone commented that they said that they sound

checked the Tina Turner song. They paid. The

show paid for that Tina... We Don't Need Another

Hero? Yeah, they paid for the rights for the

song. Yeah, that well you said it was a cover

and I'm like, there's no way in hell that's a

cover of Tina Turner There's no way. Yeah, it's

just like her in the in the show in night of

the juggernaut. So it was however Here in this

episode. It is a cover of The Huey Lewis song

here Lewis in the news, right? Find my way home

which sucks That it's a cover It's a good song,

but I wish it was actually the Huey Lewis version

and not a cover. Well, actually, that song wasn't

used again. I'm sorry. There was another Huey

Lewis in the news song, a few of them that were

used. throughout the show. Yeah, there were a

few that were used, but that particular one was

only used in this episode. Yeah, because it was

a cover. Now, they commented on the comment I

made? Well, yeah, somebody had commented on the

website as far as what we said in the episode

about Tina Turner. You had said in that episode

that you thought it was a cover, the Tina Turner

song, from Night of the Juggernaut. OK. And they

were saying that the person said that they had

sound checked it. They compared it from the show

to the actual track. And it is the same. It isn't

a cover in the show. They paid, okay, so they

paid for the rights for the song. Right. Basically,

but it isn't her singing it. No, it is her singing

it. It is? Yes. No, it's not. Yes, it is. It

is Anybody who is it who's got a great ear for

music and who was blind I'm challenging I'm putting

this out to all blind people What the fuck dude,

it has nothing to do with someone that's blind

no, I'm doing this for a reason I am I am hearing

I listen to the song and I listen to the I actually

bought the actual real song off of iTunes, but

I'm telling you someone else, not me, somebody

else, commented on the website post saying that

they had, um... It's not her. It is. No. It is.

No, it's not. It is. You're just lying to yourself.

No, I'm not. It's actually Don Peek. No, it is.

Yes, it is. How is Don Peake gonna sound like

no Don Peake is not singing it no Don Peake got

the writing credit for it They had a cover band

do that song. It's not her tickets are forged

national certifying stolen lumber that wasn't

his ghost who just had a meeting with my father

we've got to get rid of him we have a problem

michael i see it pal i see it lastly up today

we head out of the woods a family logging outfit

isn't able to sell its timber because the local

sawmill is buying pirated timber that was out

on the national park land oh god yawn Yeah, this

episode makes me want to belch up pizza There's

only one good thing about this episode and I'll

talk about that later when we get to the scanners,

but oh boy, yeah The plot sucks. The plot is

stupid. I don't even remember Samantha Dutton.

She says oh I saw you a couple of years ago like

their old friends I don't remember her from any

episode we never saw that character in any of

the episodes I know so I don't why would you

say that why would that why would Michael say

I remember this shy little girl you know yeah

but that's the thing it's like I don't like I

wouldn't have minded if like um like if she was

Slamming Sammy's daughter or something where

you know, you bring back, you know You bring

back something that we've already seen but to

basically reference some mission or something

that we've never said I don't like that at all.

I don't either The plots just dumb it just is

Can't really say anything much about this episode

here. No, not really. So let's get straight to

the skin Hey Mickey, you mind telling me where

we're going? Oh no, Bonnie's gotta fix your vocal

cords. If you don't drive me crazy first, we're

going to Whitby's. Give them the good news. Bet

you they're gonna be happier than a couple of

off -duty cab drivers. Anything else I could

do for you? If that tree wasn't from Castleberry

Grove, where was it from? Say what you can come

up with, okay? Mickey, for you, the moon. You

know that. Give me the moon. Give me the data.

Give me a pizza. But please, stop talking like

that. Just do it without talking, please. So

like I was saying, Mickey, I love kids New York

accent. That is the one thing. Give it to me.

Any way you can. Just stop talking like that.

I do want to know if that was William or someone

else doing that. It was probably somebody else

doing that. Most likely. Give me the moon. Give

me the pizza. Just give me the data. But please

just stop talking like that. Give me without

talking. Please. Yeah. But no, that's that that

one thing the whole kid with a New York accent

that is the one thing the only thing That that

is good about this episode that or Michael with

the cowboy hat No, no think about it because

remember when kids like Remember when Michael

got shot at and his hat got lost. Yeah and Kids

like, you know, he says I owe him a favor and

Michael's like, alright Let me have it and kids

like he forced you to take off that hat So I

like that part that's those are the two things

that I liked yeah as far as scanners off The

acting is bad on everyone like outside the core

crew outside of Devin and RC and Michael and

Bonnie and kit outside of the foundation crew

The acting is just so horrid on everyone else's

parts. And it just makes no damn sense whatsoever.

And then, oh, hey, the daughter's the villain.

Yay. Oh, god. This is just so dumb. I will say,

again, the only other thing I kind of enjoyed

was Kit's analysis of the tree. I thought that

was kind of cool. But other than that, this episode

is just boring. Yeah. There's really not much

to say about it. Well, is that damn boring? Between

burping up pizza and falling asleep at my keyboard

and hitting my head on the desk, you know, it's

like God Alright, so we're gonna take a quick

break and we'll be back to close the show after

into the ratings sent to roses I think we can

both agree. It gets a five. Oh god. Yes Ten if

we were using a ten -point scale Killer kid I

really killer kid is part of my childhood. It

was the episode I remember watching the most

in reruns So killer kit for me gets a five. I

have to give that one a five. I really do Yeah

You know sure there are a couple of jumps in

logic, but they're you know they're all right,

but they redeem themselves on it Yeah, yeah pretty

much and then out of the woods Mickey's the only

redeeming quality to the episode so I'll give

it one. Yeah, I'll give it one So and as always

you would have heard Deon's sent to roses in

the ad break so he doesn't need to go through

his whole spiel oh folks just to let you know

because i can do this and i don't care if he

gets mad i have proven another visually impaired

person wrong again you bastard i'll just edit

that part out yeah i'm sure you will He doesn't

like the fact folks that I can enjoy my moment

of glory that I just proved him wrong about a

cover song that Tina of Tina Turner's Well To

um, oh god, I don't know how to say his last

name the guy that posted on the on the GCR and

website Saying that he thought he compared them

and he thought it was Tina Richard. I think it's

Pion I don't know how to say his last name. I

don't sorry if we butchered it Yeah, Richard

you and I are both wrong During the break Dion

and I listened to both the original Tina Turner

version from the Thunderdome soundtrack and The

song that's sung in Night of the juggernaut and

it is a it is a very very it's a very close proximity

It's a very good cover artist that is doing it

in Knight Rider. So Yeah, oh well Alright, thank
