TFG1Mike and JT from Saskatoon discuss several Free Comic Book Day 2014 comics they picked up. They review DC's New 52 Future's End #0 featuring Batman Beyond and a dystopian cyborg future, Transformers vs G.I. Joe #0 with its ambitious crossover storytelling, and Bongo Comics' Free For All anthology featuring multiple Simpsons stories. panel of the GCRN crew. So sit back and enjoy

this week's Pull Bag. Hello and welcome to The

Pull Bag. This is episode 82 and we are doing

kind of a grab bag kind of thing this time around.

We did a free comic book day after dark episode

and now We're going to talk about a couple of

the comics that we got at Free Comic Book Day

2014. I am, of course, your host. If you don't

mind joining me is JT from Saskatoon. Saskatoon.

Spoon, tune, whatever. Same thing. You know,

your disregard for the name of my hometown does

nothing for U .S.-Canada relations. Right. Hello.

Yeah. All you people infecting us with Terrance

and Philip videos. If only that was a real show.

So as I said, we're here to talk about a little

bit more on... Were you on the Free Comic Book

Day episode? Honestly, I don't even remember.

It's been so damn long. I was not. Okay. What

is your overall impression of Free Comic Book

Day, other than... oh my god it's awesome they're

giving away free crap i love it you know well

no it's it's nice to have a day because i mean

primarily i mean more than anything i'm a comic

book fan so it's nice to have that day you know

just walk into the store and be like my people

you know And, you know, for the story that I

go to, it's nice because there's some guys that,

you know, come into town from as far away as

like Edmonton or Vancouver who come back to Saskatoon.

And, you know, it's like kind of kind of sort

of a family reunion sort of thing. So it's nice

to see people I haven't seen. You only see him

this one time a year. You've got some cosplayers

here in town come out. There's Saskatoon, Batman

and his girlfriend. Whatever I mean, she's been

known as there's female ninja Robin female Hello

Kitty Jedi She's working on a female spider woman

costume, which I can't wait to see But overall

it's just a great time, you know, we get Tom

Gromit who's I Would arguably say one of the

best Superman comic book artists of all time.

He's personal. He's like top five favorite Artist

of all time. He's there every year. He does sketches

for you know, he charges like 50 buck for like

a full -size sketch and He'll work with you to

make one. He made one for me as a Swiss Army

claw Wolverine Where he's got like a sport the

scissors and a screwdriver pops out and Wolverine's

just got this look in his face it says well hell

and It has all sorts of stuff there and there's

some a lot of local artists show up So it's just

really cool to see everybody come out to celebrate

comics on free comic book day Absolutely, all

right, so Because ladies and gentlemen I Don't

I'm not ashamed of taking pride in this I'm very

lazy and I wasn't gonna go out and try to find

digital versions of the free comic book day comics

so we're gonna basically based on the ones that

I got which how many how many did you get this

year? Did you get them all? I actually got about

four or five comics that unfortunately I had

to work on free comic book day this year so blasphemy

well it's not blasphemy it's just the way it

works and sometimes you have to be an adult and

it sucks Yes, yes it does. Now I had a friend

of mine, I slip them 20 bucks and the store that

I go to, Pat is the owner and he has the rule.

You basically, you get the one free comic and

for every dollar that you donate towards the

Boys and Girls Fund, you pick up another comic.

So I slip them like 20 bucks and they grab me

a few and kind of... Couple other stuff off the

racks there because usually has like a sale on

during free comic book day So I ended up getting

what did I get? Look at the pile here. I got

atomic Robo and friends Which if you haven't

read atomic Robo, it's basic. It's this robot

created by Nikola Tesla It's kind of a hellboy

sort of sense of humor. I Got the Mighty Morphin

Power Rangers one shot. I got the new 52 futures

end which we'll talk about Yeah and the Transformers

and the the Bongo free from which is the first

one I've Bongo usually has something out on free

comic book day and I've kind of passed out but

this year just I figured what the hell it's one

of those things that I ever since um dastardly

to dildo uh basically made them kill off my favorite

hero character even though his alter ego is still

alive, sort of. I've really stepped away, like,

I've really stepped back from the superhero comics.

I'm still reading Batgirl, I'm still reading

Batman Beyond Universe or Batman Beyond 2 .0

with Kyle Higgins. I still get Snyder and Kaplow's

Batman, but I have yet to pick up this month's

issue because of other... financial obligations.

But I find myself leaning more towards franchises

than I do heroes anymore. So like Turtles, Transformers,

at some point in the pull bag, whether it's,

I don't know if it'll be you, because I don't

know how much interest you have in them, but

at some point someone's going to be joining me

for some Simpsons comics coverage. And you know,

it's just one of those things where I enjoy it

more. Based on franchise than I do on one singular

company. Oh, yeah the licensed titles like, you

know turtles and transformers and Ghostbusters

which sadly is coming to an end in about the

next think four or five issues Boo, that sucks.

Well, I mean there the storyline they got going

on just quick aside the it's called mass hysteria

is the current the 30th anniversary of Ghostbusters

where you know the the boys and gray have faced,

you know gozer and Vigo and because of them taking

out to basically got they've taken out a god

and a demigod they've now drawn the attention

of Tiamat who is basically a goddess of chaos

and their bread they're finally bringing in Lewis

and Dana and You know, it's they're basically

Going towards like one last hurrah sort of thing

Right. It's just I don't know if it's just the

the the I I read an interview With the the writer

and artist they said it's not necessarily that

the the fans aren't there. It's just I guess

it's just sales or something. It's just they

or they want to go out on a high note, which

is cool because These recent Ghostbusters comics

have been nothing if not They're they're like

the game that came out there a love letter to

everything we love about Ghostbusters. So you

know Sad to see it go. But yeah, I agree with

you a lot of it's not necessarily DC It's just

unless you're really committed to something like

I'm Get like four DC comics on the regular like

I get Aquaman Flash Green Lantern and Justice

League I don't pick up a lot of everything. I've

been picking up Batman year zero because this

is the new year one basically and You know Nightwing

I've got the whole collection now. I'm looking

forward to Grayson I'm giving it the standard

three issues the whether or not I'll keep picking

it up Yeah, but yeah a lot of I keep going to

a lot of licensed stuff Yeah, I mean with me

in DC see that's the thing with me in Marvel

I really want to get into Marvel stuff, but I

just I don't have the time I don't you know There's

too many other more interesting things right

now for me outside of Marvel characters as much

as I love Iron Man Spider -Man Wolverine that

kind of stuff with DC it's Like I said Batgirl

Batman Beyond Batman Eternal And Masters of the

universe that's that's pretty much it and there's

There's absolutely nothing like I mean sure yes,

I said I do still have the the Scott Snyder great

capital Batman title in my in my pull bag at

my shop, but I will be excited once they get

out of this damn zero -year crap, because I just

can't stand it. But anyway, we're here to talk

about these three comics. We're going to talk

about Transformers vs. G .I. Joe, DC's New 52's

Futures End, and Bungo Free For All starring

The Simpsons. So first up, we have Transformers

vs. G .I. Joe. This is a new series that IDW

is starting. And this is the Zero issue. It is

written by Tom Scully and done up by Barbara

as well, John Barber. Captain continuity himself.

Art and colors and lettering are also done by

Scully. The written part is Scully and Barber.

You know, I have not been one of these... I did

not grow up with the Marvel Transformers comics.

I have not gone back to even look at them now.

I've seen them in passing, but I've never really

dove into them. I think the only Transformers

quote unquote literature I read as a child was

a really, really crappy wheelie story that they

had out in book form during the run of the original

animated film. And this is basically, at least

to me, now you can correct me if I'm wrong here,

this whole comic here is basically trying to

recapture the art style of the old Marvel days,

correct? I think Scully's kind of going for that.

See, Tom Scully and another artist named Jose

Ladron, they're two artists who have a little

bit of notoriety in the industry in that they

work in a very curvy style. If you look at...

It's a series called Godland that Scully did.

Like, they're both, like, heavily, their art

is both heavily, heavily influenced by Jack the

King Kirby. And it kind of comes out here now,

I don't know if he's really going for the 80s

style, because I mean, originally, up until,

I think, probably midway through the Marvel series,

because I read that a lot as a kid, the art was,

it was okay. But the, it was pretty... chunky

when it came to like the transformer designs

like they're in robot mode and It's not nearly

as detailed and fully fleshed out as modern series

have been mmm, so it's kind of his art still

kind of goes to that I mean when you look in

the first part of the story here where it's basically

Starscream is chasing after bumblebee and His

shuttles called an Autobot resistance carrier

with a K So it's the arc. And they're definitely

going for, it's like a whole new continuity.

You know, it's not like the Transformer comics

that, or the G .I. Joe comics that IDW is currently

putting out. But I mean, it's basically, you

know, Starscream's coming after Bumblebee because

he's like a bounty hunter and he just happens

to crash land on Earth outside of Cobra headquarters.

If I didn't see that that was an Autobot symbol

on the top of his roof I would have almost played

if you don't tilt your head and look at it and

see it's a vehicle and you don't Of course you

see the the blast coming out of his exhaust port.

Yeah When I first looked at this I'm like why

is Starscream chasing a floating matrix of leadership?

It does if you if you yeah At least you know

the outside of the matrix when you said that

full -on view it does kind of look that like

the matrix a bit and Biggest I'm not gonna say

it's the biggest sin. It's because clearly like

I said This is an all -new continuity and they're

kind of got some of the uniform designs for the

GI Joe's or Straight out of the cartoon or straight

out of the comic. I mean you got like General

Hawk in the comics When he showed up originally

in G .I. Joe, he had like this kind of standard

red and green jumpsuit that they had in the early

G .I. Joe days. And here he's wearing his animated

uniform. Same with the snake eyes. It's kind

of like his original form. He came out in the

comics where he had like the red visor and all

that before they went all black. Then... Okay,

this is before he gets scarred up, I get that,

but why in the hell is he pulling his mask off

in the middle of a firefight? Yeah, really. You

know, and then you got, like, Gunho and Zap and

Flash and, you know, Footloose or whoever jumping

out. I do like some of the art styles that Scoli

did with this is when you go to the next page...

and it's this cutaway with the little like uh

designations of who the characters are it looks

like the uh file cards from the back of the GI

Joe blister cards which is cool and the cutaway

view inside Cobra headquarters it's kind of like

those old comic books when they'd have like secrets

of the Batcave and it's that cutaway view of

you know all the stuff in the Batcave like over

here's the crime lab and over here's the bat

computer and You kind of got that with this battle

here, you know, Roadblock and Duke and Duke apparently

isn't all business. He's spending half the firefight

trying to get a date with Scarlet. I was like,

dude, I get it. You're in the army. You haven't

had any for a while. Is this really the right

time to be trying to get a date? I'm just asking.

And this story, this first part of the story,

since it is the title is Transformers versus

G .I. Joe. This story is told in the aspect coming

from the Joes, not the robots. Just to let everybody

know that, that might not have known that. They've

got killer tentacle vines attacking G .I. Joes

and Roadblock comes armed with a... He's basically

carrying a... He's like one of the GI Joe helicopter

backpacks, but now he's using it like a weapon

to chop up these things and I Just some of this

stuff is just really weird it's like I I Almost

could not get past Could not get past the The

very beginning Starscream and bumblebee. Yeah

the the BBB Translation it's like really yeah,

you guys like their speech bubble is like the

audio signal Then you get and you get the translate

I almost couldn't I had to read this thing twice

Honestly when I first got it on free comic book

day back in May And I had to read it again right

before we started this episode and I just Thankfully

This isn't my style. This isn't me. This isn't

a story that I'm like if they ever like if barber

and Roberts and their artists on both of their

titles robots in disguise and where the meets

the eye and the people on the on the current

GI Joe comic at IDW if they ever did a transformers

GI Joe crossover in the current day comic with

the current art Maybe I like it a little more,

but I'm not if this reminds me too much of bad

90s Punisher books. I don't think it's quite

that bad, but I like Scully's art, don't get

me wrong, but I don't think it really fits here.

You know, as it goes on, the Joes rescue Dr.

Venom, who is the original mad scientist of G

.I. Joe, and you see Tomahawk where, well, it's

General Hawk, but it's... Clayton Abernathy's

call sign in the military if in the hit in the

backstory was tomahawk Mm -hmm. So, you know,

of course he's carrying an actual tomahawk into

battle cuz you know, well bazooka carries a bazooka

and roadblock can Carry an M Barrett 50 cal machine

gun with one arm. Why not? Mm -hmm, you know,

and then you see dr. Venom's done something to

a bunch of cold Cobra soldiers and Or that he's

just surrendering. I don't know. It's kind of

unclear whether or not he did that to major blood

knees goons and The page after that is actually

I thought was a really cool touch now There's

they did it twice in GI Joe history once with

the Marvel series and once with the devil's dew

series Which originally was seen as a continuation

from the original Marvel comic was there is the

silent issues and they have the one page where

you know Snake Eyes is going through the Cobra

Garage and he runs into Starscream and he pitches

a grenade. It's all told in basically captions

and there's no actual speech balloons, which

is kind of a nod to those silent issues, which

I thought that was a cool touch. And then Snake

Eyes is like, hey, it's a VW bug and it's driving

by itself. Well, I better get into it because

this giant ass robot's about to kill me. Well,

you know. He's no longer Bumblebee, he is now

a gold bug. And then you go to the next page

and like the whole idea is that they're coming

after Cobra hard because they've got the Project

Creeper which is what those tentacles were. And

again, I had to read this twice to pick up on

that. You know, they're going after Cobra Commander

and then you see... They drop this giant bomb

that like blows up their headquarters and there's

this giant splash page of Everyone running for

their lives And it it's not like I said, I like

Skully's art. It's just really hard to follow

it in some of these pages Yeah, it's it's too

Frank dick. It's there's too much Like there's

not enough subtlety in this book. Well, it's

America's daring highly -traded special mission

force versus robots in disguise and I don't think

subtlety was even close to being the job description

but I mean I know but like I've become a big

proponent of digital comics and normally I would

not do that because what I find now is when I

get comics home I'll try to sit in my chair and

read them And I end up doing what I used to do

as a kid when I used to read a book I would end

up falling asleep reading the book. It's not

anything to do with the comic story itself It's

just sitting there holding it in my hand having

to read it Whereas I would much rather jump on

comixology .com Click, you know a read book on

on any of the books I have in my library and

just sit here and just keep pressing my finger

on the right arrow key and Go through that guided

view Honestly think this might be better for

me. I might enjoy the art more the art style

more if I was why it if I was reading this via

the the guided view from Comixology, but as a

traditional comic book I just I don't like the

art. Yeah, I Mean I like I said, it's not that

I don't like schoolies art. It's just it doesn't

I I don't know how well it really fits. I don't

think it fits very well with the concept, you

know? I mean, it's a lot of fun and that definitely

comes through in his art. It's just, you know,

you got scenes like where, you know, Snake Eyes

finally gets scarred up when he takes like a

face full of blaster from Cobra Commander. And

then it's, I do like the art that they give it

this aged look. You know because it's got like

if you ever buy like comics out of the quarter

bin at your Comic book store like stuff from

like you know see even the mid 90s now It'll

have this kind of faded look to the colors, and

it's something I did appreciate with this But

the overall actual art style. It's just nah And

I mean the book the story in itself is pretty

I mean it's a little bat guano insane Yeah, but

it's a lot of fun overall You know not that I'm

gonna sit Sit here and read through John Barber's

afterward and then the story notes But there

are certain comics that are done in this style

that I'm more interested in reading a prose version

of you know how that This is this is on topic,

but it's it's a different reference here You

know how the Dark Horse modified and I didn't

say modify, transitioned a lot of the Star Wars

novels into comics? They basically adapted them.

This I prefer the opposite. I would love them

to adapt this story to a prose novel and I'm

sure I would enjoy it a hell of a lot more than

I did reading it in comic form. Yeah, you'd probably

get a lot more detail on some things. There's

probably some flashbacks to to you know amp it

up and all that I I did sort of skim over barbers

like like the notes and all that mm -hmm and

No, I read them. I was just saying that I wasn't

gonna sit here and read them on air Oh, no, no,

but yeah, it's it it's kind of cool to you get

that inside view like that the afterward was

actually I Really loved cuz you know it comes

through that. They're really just fans Which

is what what I took away from the story was that

this was like a love letter to GI Joe Transformers

Yeah, no and and I agree with that. I just I

Don't know it just wasn't I guess it wasn't my

thing. It wasn't my I guess I'm too caught up

in the current storylines for Transformers than

I am in the past or in in something that reflects

an older age of transformers comics uh... so

i guess that's uh... i did idea i'd would like

to say i did like the cyber trillion wanted poster

needed that they have been with the auto -bot

graffiti over top yeah that was pretty cool so

but yeah i mean overall i enjoyed it All right,

I think we are gonna take a quick break before

that though we're gonna give this one a rating

Just waiting for the website waiting for the

website come on come on come on edit point All

right. Here we go. Give it to me. Give it to

me. Shut up I'm giving it a three Just, I enjoyed

it. Go ahead, go ahead. Well, I enjoyed it. I

mean, I wasn't a huge fan of the art, but it

was a lot of fun. But overall, it just didn't

quite hit all the high points, you know? No.

According to our rating system, I have to read

this because I don't want people to think I'm

giving it this because of what our rating system

explanation is, but two stars is disliked it.

Disliked it means the positives serve as reminders

to the latent potential that was never fulfilled.

The product is often a victim of poor execution

and inability to focus on a clear path. It falls

in a large variety of different areas, but the

failures are not, uh... to the extreme. Now I

don't, I'm not specifically citing that. I am

going to use the two stars disliked it though.

I, for me, it's not more, it's not, it's not

my transformers. It's not necessarily what I'm

used to. It's not what I even thought they were

like when I heard transformers versus GI Joe,

I thought they were going to use current day

style, not homage. comics that i've never read

as far as style goes even though as i said earlier

i've seen the old marvel u .s. and u .k. stuff

i've seen the art in those and i i i just i've

you know in two years of doing this podcast now

i've come to realize i am not one that likes

any old art really I have a lot of I mean just

look at our marvelous March spotlight or look

at some of the Batman spotlight Stuff that I

that Steve and I did I'm just not into the old

art So my two stars disliked it has nothing to

do with the description It's in the rating system

that I will put a link to the rating system in

this post, but it has to do with I It was hard

for me to follow the story, and I think, as I

said earlier, I think I would've enjoyed Transformers

vs. G .I. Joe more if I had it on Comixology

with the Guided View, because that's the other

thing. The Guided View on Comixology, it takes

you panel by panel. Instead of page by page,

there's an option on there with Guided View.

It takes you panel by panel, and I get more out

of panel by panel than I do trying to have my

eyes adjust to read left to right. Although,

if you are looking for some G .I .G .O. Transformers,

you might look at the quadrilogy that came out

from Devil's Dew, which was a lot of fun. It's

basically the first volume is the Transformers

crash -landing earth, you know, a million years

ago, and then Cobra finds them and adapts them

into Cobra vehicles. So they're like... Cobra

commander turns like was a sound wave into like

some some of the Cobra the big white Cobra bat

armor they used to have an optimus prime and

some others get turned into like his tanks and

stuns and It just kind of goes on from there

and there's a continuity through all four because

there's three miniseries and then a fourth Series

it was basically a pair of two two one shots

And, you know, that might be on Comixology with

the Guide of Yusu. If you want to check out some

other stories like this, certainly do that. And

then there's the classic, like the original Transformers

versus G .I. Joe from the 80s, which at the time

they were never really clear whether or not...

I mean, quick aside, originally G .I. Joe was

supposed to be basically a faction of S .H .I

.E .L .D., because it was originally supposed

to be headed by Nick Fury. they were supposed

to go after Hydra and Hydra became Cobra and

they were kind of sort of set in the Marvel Universe

so Spider -Man shows up in one of the early issues

of the Transformers comics I think he even makes

an appearance during the Transformers GI Joe

miniseries so it's a lot of wacky 80s fun. All

I can see now is Spidey doing his classic crouching

pose before he goes to web somebody. That classic

crouching pose with his two fingers in front

of him. I can see him now doing that on top of

Bumblebee. Oh my god, Spider -Man is the new

Shia LaBeach. We'll be back after this. Mr. Wayne?

Mr. Wayne! Terry, you're hurt. Just groggy. Who

did this? It was me. your history who sent that

thing it didn't say whoever it was they didn't

stop at one seven against two pretty bad odds

for them up next is DC Comics presents the new

52 futures and issue number zero this is the

quote -unquote introduction of Terry McGinnis

in the new 52 although it's five years in the

future yes this I do not want us to sit here

for an hour bashing DC for the time jump but

DC has done a time jump with all of their titles

starting with Batman Eternal it's five years

in the future a potential future And we start

in Central City 35 years from now And we have

flash or old flip Wow You need to shave Barry

We have old Barry and old Captain cold. Oh my

god That's crazy. Well, this is an alternate

future Yeah, I know that much because you know

Captain Colt still has his mutant ice powers

You know after yeah, however it happens and it's

like oh my that is some fugly Well, they're basically

fighting the Borg at this point. Yeah Because

they have not even Linda Carter could make that

Wonder Woman design look hot Honestly, oh my

god. It's basically a Robo spider Wonder Woman.

It's Wonder Spider Woman. That's what it is.

But yeah, I mean she she come they kicked his

door in which crushes this one dude in an eye

patch and Then they you know, you see cap Captain

Cold's guy getting attacked by Robo spiders And

what I the whole thing that and you know these

guys are a threat because as soon as a robo Wonder

Woman stabs this dude with a beard He goes from

arg 100 100 100 100 like already the he's infected

and it's everyone's taken down like you see captain

Cole gets his hand sliced off and You know, I

see it And you see his stumps are really getting

assimilated. Then Frankenstein shows up. My lord,

Frankenstein shows up. Why is a fucking classic

monster movie villain in DC Comics? It's a holdover

from Grant Morrison did this... Kind of mini

series event called the seven soldiers of victory

a few years ago like prior to the new 52 And

the character like this his version of frankenstein

was popular enough that they held him over Into

the new 52 in that I mean he's obviously been

possessed by uh I think it's brother. I who is

This satellite that was basically facilitated

a large part of infinite crisis and it led to

the death of ted cord You know rotten hell Max

and boom So, you know, he's either been assimilated

or freely working with Brother Eye and then he

opens his shirt and Jesus Black Canary's head

has been grafted into his chest Boy yeah, that's

that's one way to get a woman to notice you just

damn and then you know uses her sonic scream

to you know disintegrate the flash and we go

we see around the world you know Batgirl and

Wonder Girl and Aquaman and Constantine and Zatanna

and like the whole world's basically been co

-opted by the Brother Eye cyborgs who are probably

at this point a lot closer you know Closer more

closely rated to the Daleks and that exterminate

Mm -hmm even Superman as a spider -bot a mazo

booster gold You know we see I'm not surprised

booster gold is a spider -bot. Honestly. He's

such a yeah And they don't even have to hit you

with like their blades to get physical contact.

I mean we see where blue beetle and John Stewart,

Green Lantern, are trying to escape and Blue

Beetle basically gets an electrical shock that

starts mutating him into a Borg. And then Superman

shows up and, oh, doesn't he look like he's having

a good day? Yeah. Yeah, Superman shows up as

a Spider Borg. Spider Borg, Spider Borg. Yeah,

I know. But hey, at least I'm combining Spiders

and Simpsons. Anyway, I'll be honest, ladies

and gentlemen, the only reason why I was curious

about Future's End was because I wanted to see

what they were going to do with Terry McGinnis.

And we are how many pages in before we get to

even see Terry at least once? We're two, four.

Five six seven eight Nine it's ten pages of this

comic before we even get to see Terry You got

to be kidding me Well, if you're gonna if you're

if you were gonna sit here and have someone do

a cover With batman beyond on the cover. I expect

to at least see something with batman beyond

before 10 pages Okay, i'm not complaining that

you're complaining mike. Oh No, i'm not complaining

about the quality of the book i'm complaining

about the timing of the story Well, they're giving

us context into how? Messed up the world is I

mean Why don't you talk about Terry in the Batcave?

Well, okay. I mean first of all, I got to remember

This is a zero issue on free comic book days.

So it's basically Set up and so we get to lane

matter now We should mention that throughout

this series or this issue so far There's been

two or three different artists, which is really

cool because they're using some really strong

art here But we get to my favorite art in the

whole issue, which is basically Dan Juergens.

This guy is like Mark Bagley and Jim Leveer,

like three of my favorite artists of all time.

So we get to the Wayne Manor, where basically

there's a giant Brother Eye spider board satellite

thing that's, it's essentially drilling through

the mansion and into the Batcave. And it's basically,

you know, Bruce and Terry are setting it up a

time machine of sorts so that they can go back

in time to try and avert the past. And so they're

kind of getting you know days of future past

about it Very days of future past about I mean

this this comic is essentially Nothing, but days

of futures past at least the first part of it

isn't yeah And I do love one thing before you

get started. I do love the fact that they get

in old Bruce Thousand yards stare from him where

Terry's like well you and mr. Purific shouldn't

have never built brother I and then Bruce is

just like shut it Before we get to that what

I love is on the very first page here where it

says Wayne Manor I love how they distinct Terry

and Bruce as Batman how Terry's is Terry's inner

monologue, even though it's more of a quote Where

his is red and black and Bruce's is the standard

DC new 52 black and gray. I absolutely that's

just one little nod. That's that's always a nod

that that I will always, you know, mention whether

it's Batman, whether it's Batgirl, Nightwing,

whatever. So, Bruce and Terry are basically going

to time travel, even though time travel is supposedly

illegal. And then the League of Bat -Borgs break

into the cave, because you got the Knight, the

Squire, Man of Bats... And I forget the dude

with the bandana there it escapes me at the moment

But it's part of the basically all these characters

appeared in like Batman incorporated So it's

all stabby stabby Missile -in -mouth drills Mm

-hmm, and it's it's a pretty intense fight It's

a very intense way, but Batman calling it down

because he needs like what 60 seconds for the

time machine to power up. Yep I love the two

suits. I mean, I've always loved Terry's Batman

Beyond suit, but I love Bruce's Batman suit.

It's it's kind of I would almost say it's like

an evolution of the costume you see in like the

Nolan verse movies With it a lot of you know,

the exposed armor. It's not just spandex. I Was

thinking more owl man from crisis unto earth's

book. Well, no, it's just it's more armored than

it's ever been. Yeah saying oh, yeah, you know

and Then Batman catches... A knife to the chest.

Well, yeah, he loses an arm. You know what? He's

going down. Yeah, pretty much. And it's not a

blow that's like automatically turning him into

one of the Borg. No, this is they want to kill

him. Yeah, like, you're gonna die, Batman! You're

gonna die! You know, not that robots have emotion

or anything. The the picture of Terry in the

suit right after the slice That just I don't

know it doesn't look right What are you like

screaming no, yeah, well it's I Don't know what

it is. It just doesn't I Guess I'm so used to

seeing the Terry bat suit be Have this whole

thing of less is more. Yeah kind of thing and

seeing Terry's teeth and tongue okay sure there

are plenty of times where I might sound creepy

but I love seeing Batman smile in that suit and

seeing Terry show his teeth in the cartoon series

and I loved it at the time when he stuck his

tongue out at the egg baby episode but this just

it looks weird it makes this I'm not going to

take a mark off of it because of it. I'm just

pointing it out to me. It looks weird how that's

done up. No, I get you. It's not something you're

used to seeing, but doesn't necessarily take

me out of it as much. But, you know, Terry's

like, you know, screw you robots. Boots they

had to one, you know, takes the sword arm from

the other and slices it up. And he's kind of

gone full on Chuck Norris at this point. Yeah

Bruce no no no no no hang on with what Terry?

Yeah, he's like dude really it's such a well,

it's such a nice play on on this on the show

because Powers at one point says how are you

holding up these days Bruce with a cane? There

is that So, you know, Bruce basically gives Terry,

you know, gives him the time wristband, you know,

the mini TARDIS, if you will, and he's like,

you got to do this, you know, stop Brother Eye

from being created, but don't talk to me in the

past because I will try to stop you. And I do

like that Bruce does have that one last hurrah

where Terry's, you kind of sucked into the event

horizon. The time portal and Bruce grabs the

can and just like blam He takes up that last

one and then he dies Yeah Now, what do you think

about them? I know this is a potential future

Well, it's from what I've read so far in the

futures in Syria the issues that come out this

where Terry go Terry goes back in time to about

2019 because it's about five years in the future

from now So I like the idea. It's kind of what

they did with the one year later books, like

after Infinite Crisis finished a few years ago,

all the DC ongoing titles skipped ahead five

year or a year. And it's kind of cool to see

where DC is going, because it's more or kind

of sort of more or less locked in that this is

where They're coming on because I mean there's

like this war with earth to Know you mr. Terrific

who got sucked into earth to comes back to earth

one becomes kind of like this hip -hop mogul

superhero sort of pastiche and Seeing what happens

to red Robin who you know, he faked his death

and now he's living under an assumed identity

and Stuff like that. So it's I think it's really

interesting where they're going with this. It

also brings back One thing that kind of bugged

me about the early onset of the new 52 is they

had two of the books was voodoo and grifter two

characters from the wildcats, which is one of

my favorite wildstorm comics of all time and

You know, they had this storyline They're building

up the daemonites or like these aliens that possess

people they're setting up this whole Alien invasion

thing and then they just dropped it And now it's

not all that surprising but now they're bringing

grifter back into it with his hunt for the daemonites

and I'm looking forward to what where we go from

here See I You have more you and Ryan Dross from

star Joe's and a lot of the other people that

I talked to that Love and like the DC universe

you guys aren't like Steve Megatron and I or

Steve and I pretty much only give a shit about

the bad stuff and I have the first three, supposedly

I have the fourth futures end at my comic shop

still, but I have the first three issues and

there isn't enough tarry. The stories are so

far they're they're basically around all these

other characters and Terry's kind of like in

the background looking into Mr. I've only read

the first three and I honestly I barely remember

them but getting back to this really quick we

do have to talk about the fact that he has an

onboard AI no no no no called Alfred before we

get to that before that we have to talk about

as I said earlier this is a potential future

Because DC never really talks about You know

a future that's permanent for their entire continuity

But this is a potential future where they kill

Bruce Wayne And he says this this is not why

I live my life to die like this So I'm wondering

what do you think that in in Batman's mind? What

do you think his ultimate? Death wish would be

What do you think of them killing him killing

Bruce Wayne here in this title? Well killing

him like this. It's Obviously, I don't think

this is gonna be the actual future something

will happen that they'll prevent it for now.

I I would prefer to think that Batman's gonna

live to a ripe old age and become some crotchety

old bastard on a cane Telling some young punk

how to do his job Yeah, I thought that's that

has to be how Bruce goes out cuz I mean for him

to go out like a punk Like this good day to you,

sir. Good day Yeah, I will say that You know

you mentioned Alfred which it's a period L period

if it's basically some sort of acronym We might

never know just like hammer with Norman Osborne

still don't know what the hell that meant Yeah

But yeah, but well while reading Well reading

the exchanges between Terry and Alfred I can

so hear Ephraim's voice I can hear it too. I

it's just And it's so strange because I can hear

Ephraim and I can hear Friedle at the same time

obviously, you know Batman and Alfred, but it's

like Oh wow, I would love to have a series where

Terry did go back in time and did meet Alfred.

That would be really awesome. Maybe they'll turn

this into an animated film? The problem is, Ephraim's

no longer with us. I'm sorry, anything that has

to do with Batman Beyond and Alfred... is, to

me personally, stuck solely in the DC animated

universe. And if they don't have the original

voice actor, there's no one that could ever replace

or even compare to the animated version of Alfred.

Just no voice in the entire planet could ever

live up to what Efrem Ziblis did with that character.

That's fair. Alfred says, oh my Okay, I take

that back. Maybe George Takei can do it Terry's

like oh my what we seem to have missed the target

date by about five years It's already in play

damn And that's how it ends, and we see Cadmus,

we see the Fastlane, we see... Terrifatek. Terrifatek,

Lexcorp. And it says, to be continued in Futures

End number one. I know this is a DC Universe

title. I know this is not a new 52 Batman Beyond

title. Yeah. But like I said, I really wish there

was more Terry and less of the rest of the story

in these so far. Well, it's not all about Terry,

Mike, so you're not going to get your wish. Yeah,

I know. And that's why I gave it three issues,

supposedly four, because I don't know if they

actually held the fourth issue for me at my comic

shop. I gave it three issues, and after three

issues, it's not worth me spending the money,

honestly. I'm not going to give this issue a

very bad rating, but I'm not going to give it

the best rating it could be either. three -and

-a -half which is liked it I mean I like the

interaction between Alfred and Terry I like seeing

Bruce old Bruce in a really really cool Batman

suit I like the whole idea of time travel even

though DC is basically ripping off days of future

past you know I like all that but I can't give

this any higher than three and a half stars out

of five I'm gonna give it's I'm going to give

it a 3 .75. For me, honestly, it's right between

liked it and really liked it. I liked it a lot,

to quote Forrest Gump. I really enjoyed the story,

the setup, because I like the fact that you see

how effed up the future is with the Borg taking

over all the world. I mean, the fact it's not

just bipedals. stung by one of these things and

you start growing like a new anatomy and You

know, it's that whole kind of like the one thing

that I both loved and hated about the board is

just that whole violation of being like you're

forcibly turned Against your will into this monstrosity

So I'm kind of invested in that story of this

one guy going this whole Terminator like future

this one guy Going back in time to try to avert

You know what has come to pass Now unlike the

term terminator story wherein it was always inevitable

that Judgment Day was coming you know with it

being a superhero comic universe, you know, there's

gonna be more of this struggle to fight against

what has Come and what would may come and seeing

what Terry is gonna have to do to Try and prevent

everything from coming down like that. So And

also, like I said, the art, there's Evan Van

Skyver did the first few pages there with The

Flash and he's long been associated with that

character. And then you get into some other artists

I don't readily recognize until you get to the

Dan Juergens part there. He's only around for

like two or three pages. But the art was really

solid. And like I said, I like the story, so

I'm really looking forward. I've been picking

it up on the regular and I've really enjoyed

what's... You know, it's like any good TV show,

it's like a season of 24, like it's always slow

to start, but it's starting to pick up some steam,

so we'll see how it goes. Alright, we're gonna

take one final break and come back and we're

gonna take a trip down to Springfield. time to

get to the fun stuff 2014 free comic book day

bongo comics i actually when i originally posted

the picture of my hall from free comic book day

i posted it as boingo because i thought it was

boingo but it's bongo comics it's a free for

all and we have this uh... uh... kind of an anthology

collection well it's an anthology collection

uh... before we get to that i was going to mention

the whole uh... kind of a wraparound cover that

we have for it because one side is uh... amy

and leela and the other side is the bongo free

-for -all uh... i like how it's also kind of

playing off of like a lucky charms sort of commercial

on the front there with the rainbow of comics

and then the comic book guy in the background

You know, you got everybody, you got like Ralph

and the twins and Millhouse and Lisa and Bart.

I gotta say, one of the things I always really

liked about Bongo comics, like I never seriously,

I never regularly collected Bongo, like I read

it here and again basically when I was at the

store just flipping through. I always liked their

love for the Silver Age superheroes, you know,

with like Captain Squid and Plasmo and Radioactive

Man. You know weasel woman lure lassie. It's

just a lot. There's a lot of love for the silver

age marvel Avengers and justice league in there.

I really love that and a lot of the simpsons

what I've read read of the simpsons comics over

the years has been really funny and This is no

exception, but like I said off -air You know

we open in the first thing we see an ad for millhouse

encouraging kids to collect stamps No There there

is I don't care if it's Pamela Anderson lying

naked in a mountain full of these things stuck

to her naughty bits There is no way you could

convince me that stamp collecting is cool. Oh

Come on now moving on Come on now. You got it.

You got to give millhouse a little bit of credit

Why on now little I mean he's trying yeah, and

then at the end he tries to warn them off from

collecting by You know, he flip -flops all in

the space of the ad. He flip -flops from being

a proponent of, collect stamps, kids, be the

coolest stamp collector on the planet. And by

the end of it, he's like, warning, these can

become addicting. He's like, well, you're sending

a mixed message here, guy. So. But the first,

as JT said, this is multiple stories in one book.

And see, here's the thing. When we did the...

the turtles episode episode 79 the latest new

adventures episode i kinda wasn't too thrilled

with two stories in in one comic with that with

this i absolutely love it because to me it's

multiple episodes of the series whereas the turtles

comic is kind of like as we've said before in

the podcast the the new animated adventures comic

is uh kind of like what happens between the nickelodeon

episodes Um, but with this, I absolutely love

it. We open, the first story is, with great power.

And, uh... Bartow Pining, how cool would it be

to have superpowers? Yup. Fly around, punch stuff,

be all heroic, and then Millhouse bringing us

down, and you don't have to live in constant

paralyzing fear of constant paralyzing wedgies.

Well, maybe you, Mr. Van Houten. But I do like

the fact that they're talking about the origins

and how Superheroes basically fall backwards

in their powers and you know the new radioactive

man number one the retold untold origin You know

what I'll grant you that that is a straight -up

superhero origin, you know Of course in the Simpsons

universe. He's gets his shirt caught in a barbed

wire fence, and he can't get outside of or get

off the radioactive bomb range in time. Is that

supposed to be Snake? Who? Oh, the radioactive

man? Yeah, is that supposed? They're just like,

they're doing the art style of like a modern

comic because this is like a revamp. You look

at like the radioactive man, it's like, it's

kind of a play when you look at the lines in

the costume. I noticed this right away that they're

kind of aping on the new 52 Batman suit. You

know, with the lines and the armor and all that.

So Bart and Milhouse decide, yeah, hey, let's

give ourselves superpowers. And I do like the

line, you mean like joining the army and hoping

they put us in the super soldier program? Nah,

I hear it all super science got slashed in the

last round of government cuts. But I do know

where we can find science gone wrong. And it's

like, lie then! Because it's Dr. Frank. or Professor

Frank, or... It's the Frank. Mm -hmm. Yeah, it's

the Frank. I do like that Bart's like, oops,

and supposedly some sort of super soldier serum

and it's really a super shampoo. Mm -hmm. Yeah,

it is. And Bart's like, ah, crap. I do like the

look on Melissa's face. My hair is full and lush

and smells like guava. Success! And then they

try getting struck by lightning. Well, I mean,

it's almost flawless logic. The stinger got his

powers from getting stung by irradiated insects.

And then, you know, nothing bad ever happens

to Bart. Well, no because it's Bart Yeah, so

so he waxed like was that a hornet's nest? And

they all sting millhouse and he's like highs

painful highs. I need my epi pen Now let's wait

and see how this plays out and he starts choking.

Okay, maybe not I Love how every bad thing ever

happens to these characters is basically healed

in the span of 30 seconds Mm -hmm. So now when

they yeah, they sneak into the Springfield nuclear

power plant and Get into the nuclear reactor,

which is propped open with a phone book Right,

right. Yeah, it's hilarious and then Homer guts.

Okay, first of all, god bless you Homer You know,

I'm sorry Homer's the man Homer got stuck inside.

He's doing last month's safety inspection. And

Bart conveniently labeled emergency safety button.

And I like, Homer's got some actually, he's kind

of savant because they're like, what are you

guys doing here? Trying to get superpowers. But

you already have superpowers. You're kids. You

fit through tiny spaces. You have way too much

energy. And adults always look the other way

when you get in trouble. Yeah, pretty much And

I like that it is flawless logic again and if

movies have taught us anything Wink these powers

allow you to find treasure make friends with

aliens get locked in museums and turn the tables

on bumbling crooks and Not at all, I mean the

next day they're getting tortured again Yep,

they are But, you know, it's just one of those

things where Homer, he doesn't always give the

best advice. No, not always. I love the next

story, Agent vs. Agent. It's a scratchy story.

Because I wasn't sure what to expect. I have

yet to dive into Simpsons comics, ladies and

gentlemen. I want to, so badly. Eventually I

will, here in the pull bag, but... I wasn't sure

what to expect with this, because first of all,

I only noticed the fact that the Simpsons are

on the cover, but it says Bongo Free For All,

so I thought it meant that they were gonna be

doing, like, all of their, uh, like, one story

from each of the Bongo comics series that they

have, whatever series, whatever other series

that they have. So I didn't I didn't realize

it was gonna be just multiple Simpsons stories

and I love it and we have agent versus agent

as you said Which is an itchy and scratchy story?

Straight from the pages of Dole magazine, you

know, it's it's spy versus spy obviously, but

yeah, it plays like an episode of itchy and scratchy

While it also it plays like an episode of you

know spy versus spy. I mean You know, itches

the white spy, breaks into the black spy's room,

black agent, sorry, you know, and bleaches his

wardrobe. And he wakes up the next day and he

doesn't even notice, puts on his thing, walks

into the commissary with all the other agents

and blabity, blab, blab, blab. They fight, they

fight, they fight and fight and fight. And it's

not and it's not like itching scratchy has never

showed up in the Simpsons comics they had storyline

run through very early in the Simpsons run where

oh God the Kang and Kodos Come to earth and they

hijacked the nuclear power plant and Bart gets

involved. They've got this ray that The nuclear

power plant blows up and that in conjunction

with this ray gives everyone in Springfield superpowers

and Then Bart uses this ray first accidentally

to release itchy and scratchy from the cartoon

and then he releases radioactive men from the

comic books so Bart man and radioactive man Team

up to fight the machinations of Kang and Kodos

Yeah, and it's just a lot of fun It's like Like

he can't see that he has a well, okay They all

have white gloves so I can run but he can't see

he has a white sleeve on walking down the hallway

He's already a scratch. He is already awake.

Well, he has he woke up, you know, and he's But

he has no excuse if he it's a cartoon No, I know

that Wait, what? Oh, that's his... That's a parent

or... I was like, why is a General Itchy framed

on top of his wall? But anyway... No, I love

the Itchy and Scratchy comic. I thought that

was awesome. Well, I mean, it's like... He woke

up, and he hasn't had his breakfast yet. The

engine isn't running at top capacity. He's like,

do -do -do -do, breakfast. Hey, guys! Death.

The next one... I think, honestly, the Mr. Burns

story burns to the rescue. Probably my favorite

story out of the bunch. I don't know. I like

the homages to proverbial bat pulls and all that

stuff, but I don't know. I love the art. That's

one thing about the entire comic. I'll say I

absolutely love the art. Just... Mr. Burns in

a Robin costume, that's just all kinds of hell

no. I still like that. Who's been messing with

this thing? You know, I love the... as he tours

through the catacombs, you know, he's got the

skeletons, you got the ghosts of Captain Crunch

and Jack Sparrow. And apparently, he's crossed

over into Middle -Earth because there's Frodo

with Sting fighting the giant spider. The Mole

Man from Marvel Comics is his neighbor. Then

there's Satan. He's like, hey, boss. Hello, Rupert.

And then he comes upon the Minotaur, who was

really, really into his job. I mean, he's got

the giant grinding stone with his axe. Yeah.

I love Mr. Burns' line. What the name of Al Jolson

is going on here? I say you there. I love the

Al Jolson reference because a lot of people love

to swing out. And I thought for sure Mr. Burns

was going to do something to the Minotaur because

he just literally craps his loincloth when he

sees whose it is. We should mention the story

is that Smithers has gone missing and Mr. Burns

is like, dinner is noticeably absent. My skin

isn't being exfoliated. I can't release the hounds

by myself. And then he realizes that he sent

Smithers after a left -handed bacon stretcher

because he can't stand crinkled up bacon. Oh,

God, I love the idol rich. So then he's like,

ha, cured breakfast meats for all. And, well,

everyone except Smithers, because obviously he

screwed up on his job. Well, I've seen worse

breakfasts than piles of bacon. Absolutely. So,

next we have Krusty Burger Confidential. This

can't be good. Prepare to fatten your ribs, ladies

and gentlemen. I still like Bards. Two of your

finest Junior Krusty Burger meals, my good man.

Don't skimp on the free toys. Yes, sir. And then

they imagine what goes on behind the scenes and

there's some that's basically a thousand monkeys

locked up in a room will eventually compose the

works of Shakespeare. And the sad thing is they're

imagining all this, but it turns out that it.

It's true. It's true because. Or is it true it's

you millhouse has got a way overactive imagination

because you know pimple -faced teen goes in the

back and the monkeys are all you know picking

their nose and smoking cigars and I Love the

rules on the side no smoking no butt scratching

no poop throwing yeah, yeah And how do those

pickles get on the ceiling wash your hands Phil

Ralph, please tell me you didn't come to work

infected with the Ebola virus again. Yeah, yeah,

he did. You know, and then Millhouse has a panic

attack, and Bart never one to shirk his duty

immediately steals Millhouse's shit. Pretty much,

yeah. And I gotta say, this one, not the best

art in the issue. Yeah, it's more frantic than

it was before. But these are like little like

that itchy and scratchy story was a pay it was

two Was two sides of a single page and this story

here is kind of the same way I don't I honestly

don't mind that I think for the Simpsons it works

versus having Having one entire Simpsons story

be a 32 or 40 page book. Yeah, I'm just saying

like the Dean Rankin's art who did the art and

the story on this it's just it's reminiscent

of like when I look at it's reminiscent of like

the early Simpsons style animation like the stuff

that was on the Tracy Ullman show back in the

day right right that really rough raw early Simpsons

stuff but I didn't like that then and I just

don't care for it now so yeah no yeah I agree

you know we get back to it was a John Delaney's

art in the next story synchronicity for two where,

you know, we got, uh, you know, Miss Krabappel,

which I was kind of bummed out when, you know,

when, when she, I mean, they kind of had to with

the voice actress passing away, which was really

sad as well. Yeah. So, you know, of all the teachers,

like I, you know, outside of Skinner, Krabappel

and Willie are about the only adults in the elementary

school that anyone really remembers, you know,

cause you occasionally have the lunch lady, but

she doesn't really impact the story too much.

No, not at all. So now it's the show -and -tell

portion of Science Day and Professor Frink is

lecturing them about quantum mechanics. Yep,

pretty much. And then, you know, there's Martin

being a dickbag as usual. Yeah. Whose kid is

Martin's, honestly? I don't think we've met his

parents more than, like, once. That I can remember

because I think it was like in the episode where

Homer wanted a pool and Or is that a calm one

of the comic stories? I don't I know there's

at least one episode where you meet Martin's

parents, but Being that he's an insufferable

know -it -all No one really cares. Yeah so it's

starting to lecture them on alternate dimensions

and Martin's like well, we already know all about

that. I mean we read comic books Yeah, and then

Frank, you know like a lot and the sad thing

is Frank's reaction is like that of a lot of

scientists in that Magic that's just nonsense.

I'm talking about actual scientific principles

and then Arthur C Clark who is you know, one

of the greatest sci -fi authors of all time you

know and a guy who was a What do you call him?

I Feel there's a specific word like he's kind

of like Tony Stark and that he's like a guy who

always look into the future and that like it's

not it's Means kind of the same thing as visionary

But anyway, he always had that quote that I've

always looked magic is just science that we don't

understand yet and Then you know Frank decides

to well, no see this and this proves that you

know dimensions with science And then Bart, you

know, fiddles around with the dimensional cannon,

or the Glavinoscoper, as Frank calls it. And

him and Frank get zapped into... Well, I'll say

it right now, the art that he did here in the

background, that is straight out of some Steve

Ditko's Doctor Strange comics from the 60s. And

that's pretty much what Plasma is in the... Simpsons

comic universes he is Dr. Strange. So you know

we get Starla who's you know Plasma's girlfriend

and they're wondering how are we gonna get back?

So you know the free it's basically what happens

Quicksilver Plasma and Starla get into an argument

and then a sand demon which looks like Snake

shows up and then Frank manages to save the day

with a can of hair, what do you call that, hairspray,

and a pocket blowtorch that he just happens to

have on his person, and he fuses the sand demon

into a glass, and then there's a cameo by, oh

god, Patty and Selma as a two -headed dragon,

and they send, Frank and Bart are sent back.

And they're like, we're back. Uh, what are you

talking about? She never left. And it's like

one of those stories that you've seen a lot of

sci -fi where, uh, you had time traveler, alternate

reality shows where the adventure happens, but

it happens between the space of a tick and a

talk. So they sit down and I love bars. I'm a

scientist. I was like, really? Really? Yeah.

And then he goes back to Plasma with Starla and,

you know, he takes out his contact lenses. And

basically, I love the reveal that Plasma is an

alternate dimension Frank, who is more accepting

of the idea of magic and science being their

own thing and also one in the same. You know,

it's two sides of the celestial coin, you know,

but enough talk. By the glimmering gourd of Glavin,

come over here and give me some sugar. That was

like when when if mr. Burns was my favorite story

this one's my second favorite Yeah, it was a

little crazy And then tell me did you try to

find Ralph in the on the where's Ralph where's

Ralph Although I don't think he's actually on

this No, he has to be on here I don't know. I

spent a few minutes looking at this and it's

first of all, it's a Sergio Argonis who if you

don't know who that is, he's a guy who does a

lot of the doodles that are like in between the

panels and on the page borders of a lot of Mad

Magazine comics and he also created, wrote and

draw the comic Gru the Wanderer, which is a great

send up if you love sword and sorcery Conan style

stories with you would love Gru because it's

all that but with a sense of humor. Now, I'm

fairly certain Ralph's not on here at all. Maybe

one of the listeners can tell us. I don't know.

Help us out, folks. Yeah, really. For Bongo,

I'm going to give it a four and a half. It's

almost perfect. The Burns story was a little

strange for me. I like it, but it was a little

strange. could've sworn and maybe it was just

me i thought there was a bartman story in here

somewhere but there isn't uh... which is a crime

in and of itself that they didn't have a bartman

story i know right uh... so what are you going

to give the bongo free -for -all the frank story

in and of itself uh... i'm giving it a four really

liked it overall for the whole thing i'm gonna

also give it a four i really did like this one

this is probably My favorite, outside of the

Transformer GI Joes and the Power Rangers one

that came out. We didn't review it, of course,

but I would recommend it because it's basically

an episode. It's like the Ninja Turtles comic.

It's an episode that they never shot. The Power

Rangers Free Combat Day Edition will be talked

about in an episode of From the Command Center

with Spada, Scotty, and myself because of the

events that happen with it. I'm going to include

it along with the White Light commentary episode.

So that's why we haven't covered it here. It's

pure 90's cheese and it's fairly good for the

most part. Alright, where can the people find
