About this Episode

Mike and Dan wrap up the first arc of Scotty Young's I Hate Fairyland and launch into its second. Issue #5 brings the original five-issue miniseries to a climactic confrontation between Happy and Gertrude, complete with dragons, dark powers, and a twist that sets up an entirely new status quo. Issue #6 flashes forward to show Gertrude's unexpected life as the newly crowned queen—and her rapid descent into boredom and chaos. The hosts dive deep into Young's inventive visual storytelling, his custom profanity-free language, and the layered parody and pop culture references that make these issues hilarious on multiple readings.

Welcome to the pull bags back issue classics

Join us as we talk about comics from yesteryear

from DC Marvel and more So open your ears to

hear our discussion of the older Continuities

as the back issue classics are also what's in

the pool bag. Hello and welcome to the final

Episode of the pull bag for a while folks. I

am TFG1 Mike. This is back issue classics episode

69 for back issue classics Joining me is comic

revolt Dan. Hello. Hey, how's it going? It's

going Yeah, folks. I I've been doing Comic podcasting

here inside the pull bag for four years now.

I Love doing this show. I love talking to everybody

and reviewing all the comics and everything else

but There's just a time where you just need to

put it on a break for a while, because, oh my

god. And I haven't actually been able to buy

comics in the last few months. I mean, I've had

stuff in my comixology that we've never gotten

to, and that kind of thing. And when I was buying

comics, I was buying comics to the effect of,

OK, I'm not going to read these now. I'm going

to save these from when I need something for

the show, which is fine. I have no problem with

that. I've never put the podcast this podcast

on a hiatus, but we're gonna go on a hiatus through

probably till the end of the year We might come

back and do something for Christmas if IDW IDW

last year did a bunch of Christmas They did a

whole five -week Christmas thing With various

holiday specials for their titles, so I might

end up doing that. I don't know yet But we are

here We are back to camp off the first six issues

of Image Comics' I Hate Fairyland. This episode

of The Pull Bag features endings and beginnings

because originally, apparently, I Hate Fairyland

was only gonna be a five -issue miniseries, and

of course, it's done so well that Image and Image

Comics and Scotty Young said, yay, we're gonna

do more of these, which is great for us, because

the story continues. So we're gonna talk about

issues five and six and I have never laughed

so hard in my entire life that I have the only

other time in the last four months that I've

laughed this hard is Reading this and watching

mad about you on DVD. Well, wow, that's probably

the only time those two entities will ever be

Combination. Yeah, I mean it's definitely it's

actually kind of cool doing these two together

because like you said we are seeing kind of the

conclusion of the first arc and then seeing kind

of Interesting when we get to the second issue

how it may or may not be changing I guess which

is really really cool. But yeah this yeah this

Issue I think this might be the best one so far

issue five, you know, it's the great culmination

to everything seeing this final showdown and

of these two characters that of you know, the

Queen and and seeing basically this all kind

of come to a head in this one up and one issue

and You mentioned that this was originally possibly

only gonna be a five issue any series and this

could have been a good place to end it but I'm

glad it's definitely continuing because By the

end of this it's like well, I guess this is going

to be something different moving forward I know

the the one complaint we had or the one now because

it does get somewhat repetitive But after this

issue, it seems like they're somewhat going in

a different direction Mean they this okay, so

part of the repetitive part was the narrators

guild. I don't think that's a bad thing I thought

I always thought that was pretty cool. No. Yeah,

I agree But part of the repetitive stuff was

constantly going to a different narrators guild

and they kind of do that here but they show varying

characters as Happy is going through her as they're

basically recapping happy's journey to get to

the key so they Scotty and his artists make it

look like each of these creatures, the owl, the

whale, you know, that they are the narrators.

He makes it look like that, even though that's

not who's narrating, because we'll find out later.

Before we get too far into it, I do want to bring

up the creative team. Obviously, story and art

is done by Scotty Young. Colors are done by Gene

Francis Bowie. I'm sorry if I mispronounced that

name. Nate Picos of Blambot is on lettering.

Uh, logo and design is done by Ryan Hughes and

the cover is done by Leslie Ann Green. And of

course, as we said, it's from Image and Image

is awesome. So we start issue five out with this

opening of, you know, Happy's journey to get

to the key. Um, that key's awfully bright. Wow.

Yeah, that's sure. And just to backtrack a little

bit regarding what you were saying with the narration

thing, I thought that was a great payoff to this

running gag that's been going since basically

the first issue. And yeah, so like being repetitive

isn't necessarily bad. I mean, it could be used

for great effect. And I think that is we saw

the payoff with it with it there. So but yeah,

now we get to see finally this key we've been

talking about since issue one. It feels like,

OK, so. What's actually gonna happen here? You

have, you know two kids that are You know one

that's obviously a kid and 37 year old in the

kid body and another one That's obviously a kid

one of them is gonna survive a weird situation

a common situation comics But weird in this since

it's two little kids, but uh, it that's what

kind of had me intrigued going into this Mm -hmm

and everybody You know so happy gets the key

And she basically says, this is so kiddie balls

-tastic. You know, a common thing we all say

all the time, you know? Yeah. It's part of everyone.

And that's the cool thing. And we've said this

for the last two podcasts that we've done these

two issue reviews here. Scotty coming up with

his own language to avail himself of having to

curse. Because these are not comics for kids,

folks. But the way that he writes them, the way

he writes in the language... It's just so funny.

It's just so interesting. Like I've never seen

a comic any kind of comic It doesn't matter what

it is do anything that he's doing in here as

far as the writing in the language of of Characters

acting out. Yeah, and then the lettering too

also kind of hammers at home because you can

you know when you're using those things like

You know Just gigantic letters and it really

accents that so oh absolutely. Yeah So she gets

the key all her friends including Queen Claudia

or Claudia Whatever come up to her and like here.

Just here you go. Here's here's the door go in

you'll you'll be home and We see the giant Sun

and this because the Sun's like what is because

the Sun is the actual narrator here With a smile

on her face happy was on and of course she interrupts

him, but just looking at that son That's a lot

of teeth for a son Hey kind of looks like he

could be the eater of worlds. Oh wait, this is

transformers or galactic. Yeah You'd have to

have a giant cloud fall. Oh, I'm sorry bad. We

data know what you're speaking of that. Yeah

bad fantastic for joke folks So she wants to

she can't Happy wants to say goodbye to her her

guide miss lady and the Queen's like no get to

the door now And I love that panel. We're happy.

He's like, what's that sound? Nothing. Just get

your sass through that door now. Oh, I'm not

sure what's happening. This isn't part of the

story. And the Queen's like... Keep narrating

you useless ball of hot air tell her she's going

through that door Yeah, so a lot of people have

issues with the narrator it must be They're always

in the way. Yeah, it's like issues with the narrator

just like wow So they try to get her into the

door and a giant dragon appears I do actually

really like how he draws this dragon. It's Pretty

badass. Again, it fits in this world, but it's

still kind of, you know, menacing. The close

-up on the dragon's face, like right after it

cracks through the ground, and they say, holy

mother... when he's breathing the fire. The whole

dragon design that Scottie used, I don't know

if he did this intentionally, he probably didn't,

but it reminds me of when Mad Madam Mim turned

into a dragon in The Sword and the Stone from

Disney. Yeah, yeah So the dragon comes in breathes

fire and kills The dragon kill Does he kill happy?

No, who is he hitting there? I just thought I

was just a random character. I didn't I Could

have sworn no he doesn't kill happy because happy's

right there and then Gertrude is riding the dragon

Dragon writer, you know, she's trained her dragon

and now she's Yeah, we're gonna run into a few

other references later folks that I will actually

catch on to thanks to a Sesame Street parody

Yeah, somebody get sweater That might be the

best thing Sesame Street has done in 70 years

I don't think it has been around for 70 years,

I exaggerate, but yeah. 60s, I think. Yeah, 50,

60, something like that. So Gertrude is back

and she has made a deal with one of these dark

dead lords. She said the darketh deadeth, for

a little help. And we then see a recap of her

journey to get the powers that she now has. Which

I think is super cool. Oh Yeah, so we've seen

here folks in this one issue like the first four

were the first three were When did when did have

to have become in issue three or issue four she

came in issue? To at the end of issue two if

not mistaken. No, I'm wrong. I could I jeez.

Yeah, I I think at the end of she chew but most

of she was using issue three mostly Okay, so

for the first two issues we have Gertrude's adventure

of her trying to get to the key. Issue three

and four we have both of their adventures where

we kind of cut back and forth between the characters.

Now in this issue we just have recaps of how

they each got to their objectives. So first we

had the recap of Happy and getting to the key

and now we're having Gertrude's recap of how

she got her dark powers and I just love that

story change. And it's funny, because she's been

so inept trying to find this key for such a long

time. But when it comes to getting these dark

powers, it just comes natural to her. It's because

she's an evil, evil little girl. Exactly. That's

turned into a bitter old hag. Very much so. So

she gets to this dark domain. And I remember

when we went here last time. Like I wasn't sure

what to like I remember when we went here, but

I don't remember exactly What kind of issues

or what kind of whatever I had with it? but basically

the story is is that you know the darkest deadest

guy basically sees her as the daughter he never

had and gives her all this power and Again Scotty's

art and these colors. Oh my god You look at these

three panels release, you know this page where

she's hugging him and then she's got you know

She's infused with the power and she's got this

The next panel down there is where she says,

oh, I will use these powers for evil and just

oh god I just love the art that he does with

this stuff Oh, yeah, and again, it's this Something

with that like the green like evil energy color

that I just love it just I don't know It just

so eye -popping that it's and we get we get a

huge amount of it in this issue. So yeah, and

then we have happy versus Gert and happy Pretty

much fights with fights with rainbows. She's

pretty much the She's pretty much the lucky of

this, you know, look, you know magically delicious

bowl of lucky charms of rainbows and Unicorns

and God know teddy bears. Oh my god Did wait

did he throw no yeah, no, that's a flower I was

gonna say if he threw a cowardly line in there,

I'd be just laughing my ass off Sadly this doesn't

go too well for happy because Gertrude just opens

her mouth and I Can't say this any other way

folks. She just sucks it all in. I'm sorry. Just

just look at the image. She's Absorbs it There

you go Yeah And Yeah, so happy ends up underground

pretty much she's kind of dead now I would assume

I Guess I that what we'll see she she was not

an issue six at all. So she'll return in some

way Mean I kind of hope she does because I would

like to see these two fight more. Yeah But just

looking at the panel now in this specific issue.

It looks like she's Because she says help the

floor is eating me I assume if the floor can

eat you and Digest you like unicorn digests planets.

I mean come on now Who knows but I'm sure Scotty

will find a way around it that makes sense to

this universe So Gertrude is going to go through

the door and and go home And then Claudia has

to open her big mouth And I love Larry for once

you make a good point what no do not Kill the

Queen So Gertrude, instead of going home, she

kills the queen. And because she kills the queen,

she can't go home. Yeah. According to Larry,

upon the death of the king or queen, the one

who deals the fatal blow must take up the crown

and become the queen of Fluffin' Fairyland. Yeah,

I mean, I was wondering, like, OK, so. We knew

that this was gonna be going to be going into

like a new art going into it So I kind of thought

maybe she would end up back into her homeland

or into another Site sort of place similar to

this I mean, I guess I guess you have to see

in fairyland for fairyland for it to be called

I hate fairyland But this does have me at the

end of this issue. I'm like, wow, I you know,

I was wondering if this would go beyond The five

issues that it is and now I'm like, okay now

the status quo is completely different and how

she now the Really the villain for the first

for you know issues are gone So where we're gonna

go from here So it did have me excited of where

we're gonna go next and had me really happy with

everything that came before and I felt like a

very fitting end but also a Solid place to start

anew for the New York that came And the thing

with this final issue of this first five issues

is that, and I wasn't sure, because originally

you had told me when we started this, that it

was only a five issue mini, and then you had

said something about that, you know, oh he took

a break and he's gonna come back to it, which

he did and he has, regarding Scotty Young and

doing this book, and I thought, okay, if it's

a five issue mini series, fine, we'll just go

ahead and... talk about it we'll do the episodes

we'll put them out there and that'll be that

and we can move on to whatever else and after

reading this this final issue of the first arc

here it's like oh wow if they had ended this

and never done a sixth or seventh or eighth or

ninth or tenth i'd be like that was a good ending

but i still want more damn it thankfully we're

getting more What would you rate this? Zero to

five so I've given pretty much everything a four

out of this point with so this for me saying

This is the best so far. I would bump it up to

a four point five for this Like I said, it's

you know, they Scott Young did it he ended it

and had me excited That's everything you want

to see and the ending of a first arc. So for

me, it's a four point five out of five I gotta

give it a five. I love the way that this changed

everything, the way he changed the storytelling.

I mean, you still have the narrator there, but

you don't really see the way he juxtaposed the

narration against the images of the other characters

as we're going through. Normally, I notice when

the color changes on the narration panels, like

if it's black lettering with the yellow or the

orange, I figure, oh, it's the sun, or if it's...

blue background with white lettering I figure

it's the moon or whoever I didn't really notice

that at first with this because I felt like it

was going in such a very different direction

with the narration since they essentially make

no mention of the narrator's guild anymore at

all which is fine I don't have a problem with

that and I really have no like there's nothing

in this to dislike for me there's no pacing problems

everything Comes out well and then leave you

wanting more. I agree. I don't know there's not

really any negatives I think the the only thing

is like it's as good as it's gonna get like for

me for like a five out of five it would be like

forever changing comic book that's like Put on

a pedestal of all common books like Dark Knight

Rises or not rises but return just about that

where like this isn't that no nor does it attend

to be so I think for what it is it's definitely

a 4 .5, but it's not necessarily I wouldn't bring

this as my favorite comic of the year, but it's

not trying to be. It's trying to be just a very

escapist, pure entertainment, which it succeeds

at. I mean, if I was going to put this series

on a year -end list, if I was going to make a

top 15 year -end list, it would at least make

the top 10. Series so far these first five issues

have all been really really great. Yeah, I could

definitely see that argument It probably would

be close to me. I think it would be it would

be up there for sure Number seven or eight maybe

for me. I don't know who knows So an issue number

six we start a whole new story arc here We open

up in a stadium with a bunch of balloons floating

around it and blimps and all that kind of stuff

and We see these two creatures What is that thing

remind me of a pink version of stitch I can see

that I guess I was I thought it's more like a

mullish or just like a teddy bear and I gotta

say like this opening got me like I'm like, okay,

so You know, obviously we see this huge guy in

organic green monster taken down by this green

fluffy teddy bear or purple or pink fluffy Tittle

bear and that was a lot of fun and then the we

get to see girl for the first time since last

issue and she's old and Let's say she filled

out pretty well for herself Yeah, so i'm like,

wow, I guess we're flash forwarding Yeah, what

Scotty has done here essentially is he has turned

her into somewhat of a cloudier design, but not

really. But he's also... Oh, I just noticed that.

Oh, I'll talk about that in a minute. What he's

also doing here is he's also poking fun at a

certain Disney queen. Notice her hair is like

horns like Maleficent Yeah, yeah, and then of

course I just noticed The little title there

under her throne Gert of Thrones Yeah, there's

a lot of Game of Thrones. There's a lot of Game

of Thrones references in this one. Yeah, which

is fine I like I've said before and this is my

own I guess It'll it's my own little thing here

that I'm not it's not that I don't want to watch

Game of Thrones and Yes, I know HBO has plenty

of other content besides Game of Thrones But

I'm not going to sit here and pay for a subscription

service just for one television show And I know

they have a bunch of other content, but I just

like I'm so not You know that that's my only

thing but I've seen enough of it and I've seen

enough parody and I've heard enough of my friends

talking about it that I know what it is and I

know what some of the references are so. So we

have Queen Gertrude who is all essentially almost

hoard up here. I would go that I mean she's still

Queen Lee but she's just you know. Yeah. Her

boobs weren't popping out that much in the last

issue. Well, no, she was like five. Yeah. Yeah.

And we soon come to find out that this is actually

a dream sequence. I love this. The old dude wakes

her up. You'll never take me alive. And she kills

him. Oh my god. And I was waiting for the panel

where she says, oops, my bad. Must be my K -A

-T -W -M -T -S -D acting up again. I don't understand.

And then Larry... He supplements it. Kill anything

that wakes me. Traumatic stress disorder. I think

a lot of us suffer from that. I don't think we've

actually ever killed anybody, literally, but...

I'm sure I'm sure if we lived in this world we'd

be very yeah and then it goes into the the standard

of she's a queen and you know absolute power

bores absolutely she even says well if that power

is boredom then you're right is fluff and the

whole time when Larry's when when he's telling

her what she could do the panel where he says

enact your evil schemes and take over all the

lands pillage and plunder and build your riches

beyond imagination burning out anyone who defies

you this panel here where she's you know looking

over the the land here the like a game board

i'm like so essentially she's just playing risk

with fairyland Guess yeah, I feel like in a way

what we're seeing is just like the Mundaneness

of Queen and how like she really doesn't really

get to do anything the first like Like we had

the Game of Thrones reference earlier. We'll

have another later But when I saw this one panel

with her and all the little things the first

thing I thought of was that board game risk because

everybody used to play damn thing Yeah, I could

see that and kind of thinking, okay, seeing her

master scheme, thinking what she's going to be

able to do as Queen, you know, putting these

people on chess boards and being able to kind

of rule over the land. But we soon find out that's

not really the case. No, it's not really the

case because he says in one panel, oh, wait,

sorry, spoke too soon as Evil Queen. You send

your henchmen, hordes, dark wizards and other

all around scourge to do all that stuff while

you sit on a throne. We even get a Rapunzel reference.

Tower. Tower Queen. Oh man, and once again Scotty's

art. The just that's the constant change like

the panel where it's all the fire and brimstone

of when Larry's Telling her what she could do

with the volcanoes and all that stuff Yeah, it

goes to this bright hat not really happy but

this bright sunshiny thing As she goes through

the lands because she's going that they're going

through these different lands in a pumpkin car

somebody call Cinderella, please Yeah And I love

the running gag we get here of just like she

just every time they leave the place She's something's

getting exploded or killed or something like

that I like the one and I'm so not a Wizard fan

of a certain franchise, but the harbinger school

of witches and warlocks that has to be a Potter

reference I would assume so. Yeah, definitely

But yeah, so that's where this issue goes is

as the year goes goes throughout she ends that

they end up going to all the different lands

and basically Killing all the rulers. She even

cuts Wow, yeah, that's a great image to him just

like his like legitimately brightly colored intestines

just flying out and then like in the background

you see like the silhouette of Kutcher just like

yeah and with the great little panel right there

and then the running gag of Larry I'll bring

the car around good call again I get another

this is Scottie Young's been is kind of becoming

a master at really well made running jokes and

uh it's continues with this issue. And then the

panel. I'm not even sure why there was an explosion.

Makes for a cooler getaway. I can't disagree.

So she goes through all of Fairyland and pretty

much destroying it all yeah most of the time

it's by accident she's not intentionally it's

only before where she was trying to get to the

key and no one or nothing would stand in her

way and she was basically killing everybody because

she could in this it's more of an unintentional

death kind of thing and we get to the one panel

So we've had Game of Thrones references, we've

had at least on my own part a risk, some sort

of risk board game reference. We get to the panel

where it says, the narration says, Is he really

throwing a Trump reference at us? Really? Come

on now! As soon as I saw a giant candy wall,

I'm like, hey, we're really trumping the pence

now, aren't we, folks? Yeah. Yeah. I don't know

if that was intentional, but I don't think it

was intentional, but that was the first thing

I thought of. Let's build a wall. I think we'd

all be in favor of a candy wall someplace, you

know, just in general. Well, we'd all end up

eating it and then they'd have to rebuild it.

Exactly. So it's kind of like, you know, Humpty

Dumpty sat on a wall. Humpty Dumpty had a great

fall. Yeah. But you know what you see your kind

of basically is inciting war by accident by just

being such an awful queen at doing everything.

So. And there's even there's even graffiti on

the street on the walls in the streets. Fluff

the Queen. And apparently, I wasn't sure where

this was going, but when we get to the point

where the bottles, I really wasn't sure where

this was going. See, once I saw it, I'm like,

are they going to go with the Howard Hughes reference

of the guy locking himself up and peeing in bottles?

And then that's where they went. I'm like, you

know what? Kudos to you for putting a Howard

Hughes joke in a comic like this. I'm actually

kind of into that. Yeah, they put a Howard Hughes

joke and then and then Scotty immediately What's

in The other Game of Thrones reference winter

is coming Yeah, just say and just the whole thing

I just absolutely found that hilarious Yeah,

I mean like every good yeah, like every all the

other ones were kind of like, you know subtle

maybe not There's some more hints more visual

gags. This one was legitimately just going with

everyone's favorite Statement winter is coming

and then obviously like you mentioned the the

actual joke of it being a person named winter

Yeah, Harriet winter And they're essentially

going to fire Queen Gertrude and then we have

an image of the bottle filled with her urine

and the bottle screaming please help me like

she lives in a castle like she hasn't destroyed

her own castle right because she lives in a castle

even if she's locked up in her room most mansions

at least master bedrooms have most master bedrooms

have a master bath attached you mean seriously

she can't go to the I don't know. She's just

crazy. It's just I think it's. Yeah, and it's

funny. I mean, I'm not sitting here trying. I'm

really not trying to put the logic in it. I just

have to point that out, that most places do have

actual bathrooms, even if you are locked up in

one room. Well, yeah, I don't think she was locked

up. Well, I think she just locked herself up

and was just kind of losing her mind. So I think

she was saving it for later just for collection

purposes. Just all kinds of no. So Harriet essentially

fired. She says, we're here to discuss your termination.

And Gertrude just assumes that they're going

to kill her. And they're just going to fire her.

So she's no longer queen. Which I didn't realize

you could fire queens, but I guess it makes sense.

I mean, hey, why not? If you can impeach presidents,

you can dethrone royalty, I guess. Yeah, I mean,

it's one way to do it. I mean, a lot less heads

being chopped off this way if you just do it

through paperwork. So, yeah, and that in a great

little we talked about the running gag of things

exploding. And then, of course, just the, you

know, the last panel of the comic one last time,

but this time she blows up the castle. And one

last time with feeling. Yeah. And we get it to

be continued Fluff my life fluff indeed, and

she's running off into the the legions of of

fairyland I Love what I love about These comics

is in each of them each of the six issues that

we've talked about to this point at some point

in the comic Scottie writes something whether

it's how the series started whether it's How

it's gonna continue or whatever else? In the

last one, in issue five, he wrote an ending letter.

In issue six, he has a letter, you know, Long

live the queen of knot or knot and he's got,

you know, his whole thing of, and I just, I just

love his writing. It just, whether it's the comic

or whether it's just him writing to the audience

is just so fun. Yeah, and I do like he's got

I don't know like he's kind of like the perfect

the perfect sense of humor with this like he's

self -aware You never just it's like he's not

taking himself to you seriously and he's just

got a really good like sense about what this

is and I'm glad just like image kind of just

let him do whatever he wanted to do and He's

calling himself out, you know in a way So like

how he says he's basically good wife to us and

I don't know if you know what that's reference

to whether it's I know that yeah, that's show.

Yeah, which actually I think is a quite good

show but basically how it would end each year

and Each season and it would be like, okay, everything's

gonna be changing next season. It's gonna be

completely different Like we mentioned I'm like,

oh now she's Queen So this is gonna be a different

status quo but in reality by the end of the first

Episode of the first season or in this case the

first issue of the first new series kind of ended

up back where we began And that, I think that's

a good joke, but I, again, I'm wondering, okay,

where do we go from here? Again, I've had that

question since the beginning, it paid off beautifully

since then, but that was my one hesitation. I'm

like, I kind of wish they let this play out a

little bit longer, but I guess we felt like there

wasn't anything else to tell, so let's do something

else, so. That's my one concern. It's just like

are we gonna get back to what we already did

before and will we Will this kind of just get

old within the next few issues not saying it's

gonna happen, but I do have that concern. I Mean

it does say that she is going to continue to

find her way home, but it doesn't say Whether

or not it doesn't say that she has to find the

key to get like she's gonna find some other way

to get home What I love about issue six here

and I don't think this will ever happen because

this isn't Scotty's style whoever did the alternate

cover of her with the giant axe I would love

to see that art style it might be Scotty's I

don't see his signature on this cover so but

I just would love to see that art style on part

of the issue and all these alternate covers are

amazing then there's just one giant one with

all these people who cosplay as her so cool But

yeah, I hate Fairyland 5 and 6. We have the ending

of the first arc in issue 5, and we have the

beginning of the second arc here in issue 6.

And man, I just can't get enough of this series,

folks. This series is awesome. Yeah, certainly.

It delivers everything that you want it to, so

that's been great so far. I mean, I think some

people probably may not like it, but I think

if... You read the first page of the first issue,

and you like that, you'll like the entire series

so far. Yeah, as soon as she started killing

the stars in the first issue, I was hooked. As

soon as I saw those four stars getting bullets,

the giant gun she had with the bullets, oh my

god. Because it reminded me that the giant gun

with the giant bullets reminded me of... Eddie

Valiant at the end of Roger Rabbit come on fellas

let's go and you know his cartoon bullets get

in the gun and all you have all these different

bullets doing all these you know you got an Indian

one you got other ones and just that's what it

reminded me of and it's just some of the things

that I equate and reference to and from this

series to other things is like I haven't had

this much fun in a comic in a long in the four

years or Is it four? Yeah, four years that I've

been reading comics now. This just, it's just

so damn fun. I mean, I consistently laugh at

least twice every issue. So, because there's

all kinds of cool jokes in here. Folks, check

out I Hate Fairyland from Scotty Young and Image

Comics, please. I mean, this, this series is

hilarious. What would you give issue six overall

zero to five? I'm going to go four out of five.

Like I said, just reasons not scoring hard. Like

I said, it's just that one caveat of my concern.

But we'll we'll see with next issue, which is

coming out relatively shortly, which we'll get

to probably next year. And at some point we'll

get to next year. But yeah, I'm going to I'm

going to give this one a four to five. I really

did enjoy it. I think it's an interesting beginning.

But I'm holding off on that grand number five

rating for later greatness to see what does happen

with her, because if she's not queen and she

doesn't have to actively look for a key to get

home, then my question is, what is going to be

her adventure on how to get herself back home

and out of Fairyland? She's already she had already

made this deal with this this dark lord and everything

else So she has she has more power than what

she had when we first found her an issue one

obviously so And I can't wait to see what they

do with the narrated the narration the narration

to this is like It's like all these voice actors

in my head like seriously it's like Like I mentioned

when the moon got killed my buddy Joe San Filippo

who does narration on The ever after high series

from Mattel on Netflix Like I heard him as the

moon when sadly the moon got you know shot to

death But just it's just so funny. Just so awesome

a good crossover. So that should be out shortly,
