About this Episode

TFG1Mike and JT from Saskatoon dive into the three-part Necessary Evil arc featuring Spider-Man 2099's arrival in the present day. The hosts explore the time-travel mechanics, the clash between Superior Spider-Man and Miguel O'Hara, the dissolution of Horizon Labs, and how this crossover sets up future conflicts with classic villains like Venom and Stunner.

Welcome to The Pole Bag! Join us as we dig out

our latest comics and discuss them with a rotating

panel of the GCRN crew. So sit back and enjoy

this week's Pole Bag. Hello and welcome to episode

38 of The Pole Bag. I am your host TF2 and Mike

and joining me is the very sleepy JT from Saskatoon.

need my beauty sleep what yeah we are here to

talk about issues 17 through 19 of the superior

spider -man this is the three -part arc necessary

evil correct yes it is yes a little bit of a

superior after the next there's going to be two

more episodes that JT and I do that'll be single

issue episodes after issue 25 of Spirit Spider

-Man I have to cut back on my comics costs and

While I enjoy reading the comic it's I always

put it off to read before we do these Discussions

and stuff. So after issue 25, we're gonna just

wait for trades on superior from now on At least

for the pullback, you know JT wants to start

his own podcast or resurrect his own podcast

and review them by himself he can Working on

something but We'll see what happens. It's like

editing, picking out a topic. Yeah, all that

work. This YouTube thing. Geez, that's confusing.

Yeah, exactly. All right, so I know people are

going to say, oh, he's not that knowledgeable.

I have heard of Spider -Man 2099. I've never

really read that, though. I've never really read

the character. Well, the Marvel 2099 thing came

out in like the mid to late 90s where basically

it's a hundred years in the future of the current

Marvel universe and you had titles like you know

we had Spider -Man 2099 who got his powers in

an origin not all that remnant not all that different

from Jeff Goldblum's The Fly with the basically

it's an experiment and His DNA has been altered

by this drug and he wants to, you know, change

it back before it's too late and then, you know,

stuff goes south. There was Punisher 2099, there

was Doom 2099, which that one, Doom 2099, wasn't

that bad. It's like this guy shows up in the

future, Ludvaria, and you don't know if he's

the real Doom or like a clone or something. There's

the X -Men 2099. Right. You know, there's Ghost

Rider and Hulk 2099. There was a lot of 2099,

you know, with like future incarnations of a

lot of characters that it was kind of like the

DC Silver Age where it's pretty much in name

only. There wasn't any like, you know, connection

to the original sort of thing. And, you know,

that ran for like three or four or five years.

And eventually it just kind of petered out and

They've gone back a couple of times since through

various, you know one shots in many series they

had They had the what a what -if 2099 From year

like a few years ago where it was like one shots

like daredevil 2099 Black panther 2099 stuff

like that And it was more like a new to is kind

of like it was 2099, but it wasn't the world

we knew from before, stuff like that. And the

only one that they've really come back to in

any form of media with Marvel Comics is a few

years ago, we had Spider -Man Shattered Dimensions,

where it had the team up of four different Spider

-Men. Like, there was amazing Spider -Man Noir

2099 and Ultimate Spidey, and each guy was voiced

by a guy who had voiced a character in... Like

there was Neil Patrick Harris did amazing Josh

Keaton did ultimate like that Yeah, and then

they had spider -man web of time or edge of time

a few years ago And it was amazing in 2099 basically

switched eras and stuff like that So he's the

only 2099 character that's really had any sort

of staying power after the fact and Like I we

spoke or at least I spoke of a couple episodes

ago about you know You know the spider -man 2099

is gonna be coming crossing over with superior

and I was really excited for that because of

Like I picked up a few 2099 titles back in the

day make mostly spider -man and ghostwriter ghostwriter

because I was way into the whole cyberpunk thing

and admittedly it wasn't that great a comic but

it was ghostwriter and I was all about ghostwriter

as a kid and Well, that's what you're saying

is Nick Cage ruined it for you oh he will pay

and uh Spider -Man 2099 because like the character

of Miguel O 'Hara who's you know this future

Spidey and it's all about the future of 2099

it's like Blade Runner on crack yeah you know

it's it's got that style but it's nowhere near

as cool Yeah, you know, I love like I had most

of that run fortunately I had to get rid of that

collection part of my collection years ago But

I'm looking forward to this crossover for sure

because it's you know Heavily gonna involve,

you know spidey 2099 horizon labs You know, there's

From what I've read, you know, it's it's gonna

get good Yeah, I mean it's I know for a fact,

just looking on the wiki here, that the next

Dark, Darkest Hours is going to involve Superior

Venom. So that's going to be interesting, which

I'm really surprised that Marvel... They put

out the mini -series, which we will get to, I

think... I'm not looking at the show schedule

right now. JT and I will get to the Superior

Carnage 5 issue mini -series, I think sometime

in January or February of 2014. But they did

that and I'm really surprised that they're doing

superior venom as the next, what is it, four

or five issue arc without... Making it its own

mini. I'm really surprised Marvel didn't do its

own mini with that like they did with the carnage

one Yeah, I know it I know it ties into the events

of what's going on with superior spider -man.

So It's gonna be really interesting and today

when we review 17 to 19 This is gonna be really

interesting because you've got someone like JT

who? knows all about these characters knows all

about the history of this guy and i'm just coming

to a fresh yes i've heard of spidey twenty ninety

nine yes the suit looks amazing uh... that's

kind of where they get the idea for the unlimited

suit metal cartoon uh... but i really have no

connection to the care i mean i like the character

in this uh... i think it's a really good character

it's just i haven't read it before and probably

should ask you to this offer but i won't uh...

Who is more is it miles Morales which version

of Spidey is he supposed to be? The well miles

Morales is the current ultimate spider -man Okay,

is that could have sworn issue 16 or somebody

said somewhere? Oh the return of miles Morales,

and I'm like well they had the spider -men a

miniseries a couple of years ago where Okay,

where spider -man gets a Peter Parker gets sucked

into the ultimate universe and he has a quick

jaunt around there and you know Basically almost

gives ultimate and may a heart attack when he

goes to the house and Queens and she's all like

who the F are you? Yeah, and I mean the current

storyline post age of Ultron in Marvel how the

Earth 616 is the core Marvel universe in the

Marvel Comics multiverse, and so 616 Galactus

has been shunted into the Ultimate Universe,

and in this mini -series called Hunger after

Age of Ultron, he's merged with the Ultimate

version of Galactus, which is like this cosmic

robotic locust swarm, and this may bring about

the... the end of the ultimate universe and some

characters may cross over into the 616 and mostly

people are looking at Miles Morales to have him

shut over like You know, who knows what's gonna

happen. I mean there they haven't really started

that storyline yet, but You know, it's it would

be interesting and the Miles Morales character

is a really cool character. I mean this kid he

he's spider -man he's even younger than when

peter parker started right right so but looking

forward to that all right let's uh... jump into

it after this i've heard old man jameson pulled

some strings and got him in He's some kind of

special photojournalist from the Bugle. Guess

it's time for the world to get acquainted with

the all -new, all -improved Spider -Man. This

year's fully loaded model features nanotechnology,

discreetly borrowed from the lab of Reed Richards.

This scientific marvel features billions of microscopic

robots working in harmony to make one spiffy

set of duds complete with optional anti -symbiote

devices. okay so we've got superior spider -man

number 17 that cover is very very interesting

a little bit of Dark Knight going on there but

it just seems like the sort of thing you'd see

in a cover of Batman yeah all that's missing

now is the spider signal From issue three. Yeah,

no, I bet it's still to this day the superior

spider -man issue number three's cover with the

spider signal is still one of my favorite covers

from this ongoing. Yeah No, I love the you know,

the gargoyle that they're on. It's like that

gut with the Tron lines and all that And the

backdrop you see like, you know the world of

2099 Which originally before I knew that, you

know spidey 2099 was coming to the present. Just

looking on the preview art for this cover, I

thought maybe Superior was going to the future.

Oh, yeah. Yeah, they kind of tease it that way.

But yeah, no, it's, you know, art written by

Slott, art by Ryan Stegman. And I love the Daily

Bugle page right in the front there. First of

all, you get the... Yeah, I'm glad they stuck

with this. I really love this. Well, I love the

headline, you know. very, you know, Rocky Horror

Picture Show. I love any reference to that. I

just think it was like, it's not necessarily

cool, but it just seems like twisting the knife

a little bit at any time you read something like

this where the bugles deeply story report that

staff writer Nora Winters has been let go due

to recent tragedies. I was like, yeah, why don't

you just stick the knife a little deeper? Why

don't you? Oh, she's a gifted writer and we wish

her the best of luck in future. She you know

outside of her copying Clark Kent and starting

her own news blog. I Highly doubt anyone. This

is like when Peter Parker got outed by Mary Jonah

Jameson In you know the previous volume of amazing

for doctoring that photo like she is so screwed

in You know do you want fries with that is in

her future? Well when I read that section of

the bugle page, I'm like Oh my god, they WWE

future endeavor -der. Yeah. Best of luck! Yeah.

But yeah, you keep going in the issue and right

away we're... I know they don't... This isn't

exactly the original 2099 because there have

been time travel shenanigans previous to the

age of Ultron that have altered it somewhat.

because it used to just be New York and now it's

Nuva York. Yeah. You know, and then you got the

public eye, which is like this almost it's like

a subscription based police service because in

the original 2099 comics, specifically the first

issue of the Punisher title, this guy is being

chased by like street surgeons who basically

They know they find out people who aren't under

the protection of the public eye because they

haven't paid their bill this month and then And

then they steal their organs and the Punisher

shows up and whoops their ass and this guy goes

through like a video phone booth Help police.

I need help. Oh, you're not paid up this month.

Screw you You know the bureaucracy of the future.

So you see the the public eyes, you know Dealing

with something and there's you know, Miguel O

'Hara on a maglev train And I love that. Another

day, another outfit from Mikhail O 'Hara's wardrobe

gets donated to some downtowner. By the end of

this, I'll be naked. If there is a next week.

And that's the thing with this Spidey, like he

doesn't just stick to walls because his origin

is like he is a genetic misfit. Like he he has

fangs and talons in his fingers and he has enhanced

vision and he has bio webbing and in the first

issue that original 2099 spidey title he's like

oh thank god i'm not shooting it out my butt

or something to that effect i haven't read the

series in years but his enhanced vision sees

there is time energy around the alchemax building

which is like the super evil corporate entity

of the future yeah i love this splash page it

looks so cool yeah I mean, in that costume, it's

just... I don't know, it's like... That costume

is awesome, but at the same time, I just wish

it had a little bit more black and a little bit

more of a yellow cape to it. So it could be unlimited.

The beauty is in the simplicity, in my opinion.

Oh yeah, no, I agree. If you can ever pick up,

like they've been releasing, I think there's

two volumes out of releasing the Spidey 2099

series in trade. In the first issue, first or

second issue, because there was like a three

part origin, his costume before he gets like

an unstable molecule version or something, this

was a day of the dead costume he wore to a party.

My god, but I mean it works. This is like a superhero

union suit. So You know with the death set on

the front and all that and he swings in there's

biplanes and dinosaurs and That that in itself

would make an awesome spider -man story Yeah,

but it goes it doesn't in there. He goes to alchemax

you know, cuz they've been tinkering with time

and you know it references stuff from the original

series like are you tampering with virtual unreality

again, or is it the Fujikawa time experiments

and this time distortion the future is eating

Tyler Stone who is Unknown to Stone is spider

-man's real father in this was revealed in the

original title and all these time travel shenanigans

are due to you know, like the age of Ultron and

the you know, the all -new X -Men where, you

know, the young X -Men have come to the future

and the current storyline in the Incredible Hulk

title where he's the agent of time and he's going

through time and fixing things. So basically

all the time travel shenanigans are actually

having an effect on different eras of the Marvel

Universe, which I thought was really cool. Yeah,

that is a cool story point. That's pretty awesome.

And the art and statement, I love how He does

the art here like Tyler stones, you're basically

being eaten by time and it's not like back to

the future He's just fading. No, this dude's

being turned into like temporal Swiss cheese

Yeah, he's just sitting in this floating egg

chair, this is not a Gouda situation Brought

up the Swiss cheese. Oh I'm gonna stop myself

before I work in a camembert reference But yeah,

Spidey is like there's only one point in time

or something like this could originate stone

says and I love Spidey's she's like what have

they done now Avengers those fools. What have

they done now? Yeah And it's basically Spidey's,

you know as much as he doesn't want to save his

father You know, cuz he doesn't he hates his

dad and it turns out That it's it's temporally

faded because he's like what do you mean? I have

to do this. I ain't doing shit and the Tech is

like if you don't go you'll create a paradox.

Look, you're already there and he's like, ah

I love the fact that in the future the main swear

word is shock I Really? Oh over these three issues.

I got so sick of it. Yeah, it's I'm used to it.

But yeah, it's like I shocking hate time travel

You know, so he goes, he's going to prepare to

go back in time. And it's the company softball

game for horizon labs. And the fact that, you

know, people from horizon labs are even talking

to Peter quote unquote. Yes. At this point. Cause

you find on later in the story that he just hasn't

been going into the lab at all. Like he's so

tied up with trying to get his doctorate and

romancing Anna and you know Becoming like this

high mucky buck of superhero with his own island

headquarters You know it's stuff like that and

he's seriously company softball game with a bunch

of nerds who are always the last ones picked

Yep, not today. I'm gonna knock this into next

week. I lost Superman 3 or 2 or whichever I forget

there was one where or or Clark either threw

a football or I think it is either Superman 3

or 4 where he threw a football or or Hit a home

run and went into the next county or something

or other but yeah, it's it's pretty much all

of that. I do love the panel with uh Uatu and

Anna where he's like this year it's everyone

who got turned into a spider versus everyone

who got turned into a lizard and I didn't get

turned into anything. You know and I love the

statements are like it's not it's just you just

see this look of like screw you guys on Uatu's

face. They appear, you know, he knocks one into

the park and this helicopter shows up and it's

the government and they're here to arrest Max

which is the result of information that's been

leaked by Tiberius Stone who is a complete and

utter douchebag Yes, yes, he is, you know and

it's some of the boat It's not that I don't get

this reaction often reading comics, but there's

something about Stegman's art when I look at

Ty Stone's face I Was like, where's my sack full

of doorknobs? Because I just feel the intense

urge to punch this man Yeah, and you know you

you get the Little news blurb with the Daily

Bugle and how they're trying to pick themselves

back up after the whole thing with Nora and Phil

Yurick And we go to Goblin Underground. Yeah,

the secret lair of the green goblin and It I

don't this just seems a little bit of a detached

the way we ended the last time we saw Yeah, the

goblins and Phil, you know, it's like I'll be

the goblin night It seemed like he was just could

that was epic. This just seems like well this

throwing in Comedic time, you know on a very

poor comedic timing or it's like you fool And

and they do hint slot does hint at a you know

future plan with kind of like tying it all together

but still the whole interaction between the Green

Goblin and the Goblin Knight is just like It's

worse than a bad pasta power joke from Super

Mario Brothers Super Show. Yeah but yeah, no,

it's just a It just seems like, you know, this

180 and feel like he's gonna sit there and he's

gonna be a You know, he's gonna learn his place

and here he is, you know Acting like how he used

to Yeah, and then you know Norman lays the smackdown

and it gives him an idea And then we go and we

see Liz Allen like Harry Osbourne's ex -wife

Who is basically she owns a good chunk of Oscorp

You know, she owns Alan chemical and I mean this

this is a character that Peter Parker like pined

over back in the day when he was in high school

Yeah stuff like that and she's come a long way

and oh look. She's got douchebag supreme I mean

tie stone as her new supervisor for horizon labs

Yeah, and I Love what happens here where they

they say basically Ty's you know steps up and

says we own everything you people have ever created

here including the spider -man's web formula

Peter Parker Yeah, and he sits there is like

Peter just looks you know Otto Peter whatever

looks at Ty says you shall rue this day was that

a threat yeah And then Grady gets an idea to

do something Piers taken off to go after and

go after Stone. And oh, Grady, why do you have

to tamper with time? Yeah, for a second there,

during the time tampering, I was like, hey, wait,

why are they bringing Stephanie Brown into the

Marvel universe? Oh, god. Like and that's another

tension I can bring up in the outro in the closing

of the show But yeah the whole time thing on

this page where we see 2099 come in I'm like,

yeah, it looks like a bad girl costume as far

as the silhouette The silhouette. Yeah. Well,

I know I just love the fact that like Grady's

got a great idea because they had a two -issue

story in amazing you know prior to the whole

body switch thing where Grady creates this doorway

where he goes into the future just by a day and

takes a newspaper and brings it back and then

when Peter goes through and essentially when

with his time machine when you go into the future

you are gone for that length of time or you're

you're removed from the time stream for Certain

length of time and when Peter goes the whole

world kind of goes to crap and they fix it and

I'll never use this again And then you know Grady

hasn't even turned it on yet basically 2099 time

travel shenanigans open it up and he pops out

You know and you know, he goes after Spider -man

I love first Liz Allen after Otto stops there,

you know, what do you call it a Caravan or whatever,

you know, Liz gets out gives him some crap then

Norman or normie like Harry and Liz's kid stands

up to Spidey and It's like you're a bad man you

know and then Ty shows up and he basically threatened

spider was like don't worry your time will come

and He's like, oh everything I'm doing is legal.

You can't touch me. La la la la la Yeah, it's

like, oh god, I hate characters like that. I

what I'm doing is legal. So douchebaggery is

legal So go suck a duck You know, it's just I

hate characters like that so much and I love

the the parallel You see the look of oh shit

on stones face where Otto is like, you know what

fuck it punch to the face Pardon my French, but

that's the look on spider -man like he's ready

to just you know, drill him one and then You

know 2099 shows up and it turns out that tie

stone is spider -man 2099's granddad Because

Tyler stone was his father so it's like name

for my father. He's just like oh Shock me So

hang on tight Spidey fans the battle you'll be

waiting 80 sit You'll be waiting 86 years for

is finally here Spidey now versus Spidey later

is how it ends. Yeah Yeah. Overall, I like the

first issue. I like the setup of the characters.

I like how the story flows. I love the art. Stegman's

art and the colors and the inks and all that

stuff is just absolutely amazing. Because I know,

I think, Edgar Delgado is one of the inkers as

well, so... Alright, I could be saying the name

wrong. I'll look in here really quick. Yeah.

Yeah. Yeah. Edgar Delgado. I did say his name

right. You know, I love everything about this.

This issue. For someone who doesn't... Didn't

know a lot about the 2099 universe and all that

stuff because I wasn't reading it back then.

I mean, I think bringing it here in the way that

the way that slot has set this story up, it is

good for any new reader. It really is. I mean,

it's, it's structured to the point where you

can have new readers come in without really having

to need this, like the overall need, unless you

actually want to go back and read the old 2099

stuff. But no, overall, I really enjoyed issue

17. I thought it was really, really interesting.

Now issue 18, we've got the cover of Superior

versus 2099. White cover with them just going

at it. I like how simple it is. I like how it's

not, you know, technically it looks like they're

hugging because the cape just looks weird. Those

are they're falling from a great height and it's

just like you screw you while he's feeding him

punches Yeah, he's dropping the elbow like macho

man there and then you got this, you know smack

to the future recap of What's going on? I love

how the daily bugle page sometimes I'll have

that bottom blurb will be about something that

they have no way of knowing Yeah, but just how

it updates us on you know what's going on with

other elements of the title Yeah, that's so awesome,

and I love the the first The first like the panel

there were auto is like alright. I give up What

are you supposed to be the blue symbiote another

spider clone? Oh, don't tell me this is cosplay

Yeah, I know that was so awesome But one of the

things on the on the bugle page that I absolutely

love is I love the waste and I am sure because

it's probably the writing more so than the than

the colorist and the artists that do that, but

the titles Smack to the future. Yeah, come on

man I'm half tempted and wait waiting to see

if Doc Brown or Marty's even gonna show up in

this but I'll just look in the background for

some guy wearing an orange life preserver vest

But yeah, it's and and there was a mini series

a few years ago where 2099 you know the the Marvel

2099 universe crossed over with the Marvel you

of today, which you know Miguel here References

and then punch to the face This is what I get

for wiping Parker's memories. It's like see The

parkerectomy wasn't a good idea, Otto. And they

go at it and... And then Stye is like, what are

you gonna do, hurt me? Like, how you back down

from whacking hobgoblin? Yeah, we all saw you

being a puss. And it's just... Otto is just like,

I'm going to end you! And then 2099 is like,

uh -uh. Yeah. And I do love the fact that Otto

they both kind of instead of schnick to we got

slicked Because they both pop their talons. Yeah

And it's like like all of a sudden it's a cat

fight. Yeah Yeah, it's it's yeah, it's a cat

fight and it's it's pretty cool it it is pretty

damn cool and and then of course the story continues

with the the the time the timeline spies yeah

jeez so like that you know it's apparently uh

you know ty Tyler Stone can you know talk to

2099 through the time stream and he's like you

got to save my dad he's the focal point of this

and You know, it's like, trust me, that's exactly

what I'm going to do. And even though I don't

really want to do it, dad. Yeah. Yeah. And you

go back to the lab and you see, you know, Max's

boyfriend slash lawyer for the company is going

to try and fix everything. And Grady's going

to he's altered the door so he can go into the

past and take a picture. of stones you know mucking

about with things in the past that have essentially

brought this time travel shenanigans together

and we pick up with that later we go back to

the fight I love this. I love this fight. Oh

tech, how dare you call me low tech? Yeah, it's

just like well There's a certain truth to that

Spidey cuz I mean you you picked up a car. You're

about to throw it on somebody That's not exactly

a high brow You know It's like no one. Yeah,

but he pops his legs and he's about to drop like

a minivan on 2099 and then you see stones got

a you know MacGuffin that causes autos arms to

go Well, yeah the spider jammer and that's the

is the other thing This to me this whole 20 and

it could be because I'm flashing to the star

jammers from x -men But like the whole time I'm

like, oh man, they're gonna really reference

star jammers The the page here where where Otto

says no one calls me low tech worries or it shows

him holding up the car He really worked in I

don't know if it's Ryan's art or if it's Edgars

colorings or how it's placed in the in that image,

but they really worked up the fact of if you

see the spider legs At least four of them like

it's in like in this image you're gonna be like

hey He kind of looks like Doc Ock doesn't he

I mean come on anybody could really realize Yeah,

I mean I mean at this point I think if anybody

sees the Doc Ock reference there. They're like

well It's just ripping off one of his enemies

Yeah, like copies like But yeah, it's uh, so

his spider -sense goes crazy. He almost drops

the car on normie and 2099 rescues him and Liz

is like you could have snapped his neck and see

normie clearly likes 2099 versus superior because

he's like mom. I'm okay jeez Yeah, and then you

see 2099 knows that his grandfather is a dick

And he could see that, you know, he's got something

there and as Basically, Liz Allen tells both

of them to screw off Yeah, because she's more

worried about a kid but apparently, you know,

she's gonna take her eyes and down and Spidey

calls into spider island and he's like you look

guys you gotta look for this and So stop looking

for Hobgoblin and no you idiot do that. Do it

both at the same time I gotta take this stay

there and then you know, it's talking to Anna

and he realizes that He's got something in the

works for like a future experiment, but if he

doesn't get it out of horizon before Screwed.

Yeah before out Liz Allen takes over. You know,

he's good cuz you know intellectual property

rights and all that bull And he goes there and

then he rescues he's got stuff 2099 has stone

and he's going back and forth and stone being

the douchebags Smart douchebag. Nonetheless,

he figures out that he's the center of all this

Yeah, so, you know 2099 saves him after he throws

himself off the building and then he webs his

mouth shut and I was like, oh, thank god You

know, I would have added a little more webbing

cover the nose, but we really don't want to cause

the end of all of time and space Not yet. Anyway

that happens in the next issue. Yeah, I love

that where a stone starts chewing a spider -man

he hangs up on him and then he downloads his

virtual girl Friday from the future which is

this AI named Lila Who I love how in the original

series they kind of played with it a few times

that She might be a little bit smarter than she's

supposed to and might care for Miguel So, you

know, it's like the whole it but it's like the

whole Girl Friday thing and detective nor like,

you know Why would she not fall in love with

the hero? But he doubt I love the fact that he

downloads her to his wristwatch. I Love the future.

Yeah The future is awesome. Speaking of the future,

I mentioned this over on the latest episode of

Beyond the Night, episode 35 for our Knight Rider

show. Speaking of all this technology with holographic

watches and everything else, the future is finally

here when it comes to a talking watch. Have you

seen the Samsung Galaxy Gear commercial? Yeah,

I saw that and I was just like... No, I can't

I'm not gonna go look at it. Oh, it looks so

pretty We'll see that's the thing like I have

absolutely no interest in Getting that at all

like even if I had the money to buy something

like that. I have no interest I just like it's

finally cool that it's cool that it's finally

here Anyway back to the comic. Oh, you would

still get one and make a talk like hit Mike Well,

yeah, that's kind of the point yeah No, I get

you I get you so yeah, so basically, you know

Lila gets downloaded to the present and He has

her go to work digging up information on alchemy

X and I love this may be a nod to Down the road

like a storyline the 2013 mega core Called horizon

labs now. I'm thinking that should have been

2099 but who knows that may be just a hint at

something coming up in the future and Then we

go to the path back to the past. In fact, it's

the day that Peter Parker had created this Basically,

he he found his own exotic particle like Hank

Pym found the Pym particles but let it shrink

and it's it's the parker particles yeah it's

basically it's the alpha energy experiment that

created this kid alphas really i i never read

the miniseries it's basically it's a modern day

you know kid falls backwards in the powers like

spider -man but in this day and age you know

you can't expect him to be the smart kid and

do the right thing in fact the kid kind of turns

out to be a bit of a prick But so basically Grady

takes a picture of stones, you know, purposely,

you know, sabotaging the experiment in hopes

of going back in time to stopping everything.

And you see Peter in the living brain loading

all this crap into a van and you know, it's basically

peers like screw you guys. Yeah, that living

brain is kind of like a version of Dummy from

Iron Man. Oh very much Yes, we're quick, you

know stuff like that. But I love this here. It's

like Peter Truss this will sort this out and

You know peers like screw you max and if you

don't, you know, it's And it's even here max

is like you're not the man I brought into my

company and that's it's one thing that it's just

If this had even if this was Otto and it hadn't

been if it if it had been Peter versus Otto If

Otto hadn't been doing this like it still wouldn't

have ended that well It's just I really grew

to like these characters at horizon labs like

I said in the early part when we started doing

the superior spider -man like I Really hope that

this would stick around a lot longer. I mean

Peter finally was in a good place prior to the

body switch. I mean, he's in a place that he

loves working, provides them with like a boatload

of cash. He was in a good place and then all

it took was a few months and Otto has not exactly

done anything to help. No, not at all. And then

he gets his phone call and it's the Hobgoblin,

sir, the original one. It's really Norman. Yeah,

it's really the green goblin disguised as the

hobgoblin. Yeah, that was kind of cool I always

what I do really like about this series is how

they show the half -and -half faces whether it's

superior Spidey and Peter Parker or Miguel and

2099 I do really like the the half -and -half

face style. I thought that was really cool. Yeah

and then Then you get back to, you know, 2099,

he's like, wait, wait, what? And it's basically

stone sabotage of a couple of experiments led

to the fall of horizon. And I love how Lila puts

it. No, you mean financial sabotage? No, I mean,

ba ba boom. Yeah. And the rise of Alchemyx. And

they go back and Max runs in. He's like, what

the hell is going on? And you see Grady coming

back and Peter takes a call from Mary Jane. or

not now woman i'll deal with you later yeah yeah

and it goes back and and i love that uh it's

like it's not just chronotons there's alpha energy

and it's all connected this was always going

to happen and 2099 pops in it's like hey i'm

from the future i know this is about to blow

let's fix this and then punch It's like the punch

heard around the world almost it's like oh spider

-man. Why do you have to be such a douchebag?

Yeah And I like how they ended it's not like

next time or to be continued its temporal event

in t -minus 16 minutes Yep, yeah For issue 19

well, I'll say for 18 overall. I love how the

good story continues. Oh, yeah I do think that

the Goblin stuff is... I know that Slot has to

remind us that the Goblin stuff is still going

on, but I think it could have been still. Like,

even that one hint in issue 17, you know, that

was fine, or whatever. And then the furthering

of it later as the Goblins going on is the hot...

Like, it's just a distraction for what's really

going on. Well, yeah, it's just... Always teasing

the upcoming like a goblin war or whatever. I

forget what the the goblin are coming up is a

goblin city or something. It's just like Either

give us like that first bit actually moves things

forward in 17 this thing. It's Completely unnecessary

because it doesn't really move any part of the

story forward aside from the fact that Norman

likes to cosplay Yeah, but yeah, but we get into

19 and I I love this cover because you see like

the you know the curl the curve the time energy

bubbles are going around and 2099 is being turned

into Swiss cheese and Like, you know superiors

reaching out as if to help But it's just a very

dynamic cover in my opinion Yeah, and yeah, it

is a very dynamic comic cover. I mean, yeah the

time energy almost looks like someone shot a

flamethrower at them. Oh yeah. And back to the

Daily Bugle page, we continue with the Back to

the Future reference. And I have to admit, this

one smacked to the future. I wasn't a big fan

of. I like this one. 1 .21 gigawatts? I know.

And again, I love the image they used there of

the 2099 getting into superior's face like that.

And you see the event horizon. Which isn't all

that bad a movie honestly You see Max getting

arrested talking about You know what's next for

horizon and we go we catch up with the Wraith

and Carly Cooper and Cuba or the Caribbean you

know the and they're still tracking the money

and It's just again, this is like this is Like

the for in the issue 17 with the goblin like

this moves an element of the you know The greater

story forward, you know, they're still they're

tracking the money Yeah, blah blah blah. I like

in the race like yeah, I got some of my fear

gas in the vents and it was like Gee, I wonder

what other company has somebody that has fear

gas You know, it's just like you couldn't call

it something else like it I know it's such a

generic term and can't really blame them But

anytime I hear the words fear gas, I don't think

of the Wraith. I think of dr. Crane Yes, so The

Scarecrow, but yeah, they're going they're still

going after spider. We get back to the present,

you know, I Love the outside the bear's right.

Everyone in there is a menace. Oh god. What have

they done now? And I like you ought to he just

killed future spider -man. He'll be fine still

a cheap shot I know yeah But yeah, it's like

and then they spell it out for you know Superior

that it's all tie stones fault. You know, it's

Grady's like you I've seen everything. It's like

basically all the times he screwed us over You

know that it's it's all gonna happen here you

know and it basically superior comes up with

a way to you know stop this and he looks to uh

was it i forget her first name but uh miss jaffrey

there is we need a sample of your reverberium

and max is like you were supposed to destroy

all of that and the second panel where you see

him looking right at spidey there's a watch you

like you just see that super pissed off look

at max face oh yeah i love that basically you

know so they get to work on this in all of space

and time or in all of space and for all time

I am the superiors okay we get it you're smart

you know it's like auto seriously like ego get

it out of the way yeah and it's I love how Max

leads in because you know like I don't think

anyone else in Horizon really knows that Peter

works on tech for Spidey and yeah and he's like

well we should really get Peter on this because

you know that's why I gave him the job because

of how he saved us all from the Reverbium that

one time and it's basically Otto's trying to

see if he can pull up any memories of that if

there's any lingering traces but his you know

it's his and Peter's memories like whatever what

little is left have become so meshed together

that he can't find the information in his head

yeah you know because you see everything he's

on it doesn't help that everyone's still trying

to talk to him he's like shut up i'm trying to

think here damn it yeah because i mean you look

at like the flashback sequences like Otto's been

imprinted into all these classic like moments

like you know you know, face the tiger, you hit

the jackpot the first time he meets Mary Jane,

Gwen Stacy's death, you know, Craven the last

hunt, all that stuff. And basically, Ty Stone

comes in and, you know, he's basically, you find

that Otto, while trying to figure this out on

his own, he's basically checked out for like

10 minutes. and they've all the rest of them

have all brought it together yeah the rest of

them all brought it together because that was

one of the things like i love that where where

he goes i am inferior and boom yeah oh and i

love mayor jamison on the previous page saying

modell this will add more to your sentence etc

etc etc It's like really, uh, love you much.

Nothing but love for you Jonah, but The world

could end in two minutes and you have the intense

freaking need to walk right into the heart of

the storm Just to bitch somebody out. Oh, dude

that takes balls Yeah, Jonah's got something

on it Grapefruits man, but yeah, so basically

the the boom happens, but not in the way everyone

thought it was And I love that first speech bubble

in the next page. Dear God, it's gone. Horizon's

gone. But the rest of New York's safe. Hooray!

Yeah. And it's basically they created like they

say controlled implosion to, you know, seal the

rift. And, you know, Tiberius, Ty Stone's safe.

You know, and he's like, ha, knew that work.

Look at me. I solved everything. And they go

to the future and Tyler Stone is safe. You know,

are you alright sir? Yes, I'm just fine. So that

all remains is to bring back our spider -man,

right? Sadly, I don't think that's gonna happen.

Our time travel device has been irreparably damaged

as But sir, what have you done? It'll takes weeks.

There's sort of I said irreparable So basically

they strand, you know 2099 in the past. Yep He

makes a good Good effort on it because he can

keep close to his grandfather or great -grandfather

or whoever the hell he's supposed to be and it

becomes Michael O'Mara. Yeah, which is, you know,

one couple letters removed because his mother

was Latino and his dad was Irish in the future,

so it's Miguel O 'Hara. It's like... Iron Man

going undercover is, uh, Hogan Potts back in

the day. And, but yeah, it's basically, we see

the birth of Alchemax and yeah, I agree. That's

a pretty, it's, it's been done before, but it's,

it's a trope of, uh, being undercover in comics

and other literature that I think works that

where he, Miguel becomes Michael O'Mara, like

you said, and, uh, He's like like I says Lila

set it up, you know Lila from HR. He's gonna

be ties his grandfather's a Personal assistant

which and I dig that as an addition to the superior

spider -man, you know supporting cast to have

2099 kicking around like this. That's kind of

cool. Yeah, and then you see here You know James

he proves that Jonah isn't a complete dick You

know, he's better than he was. Yeah. But he's

pulled strings so the feds get off Max's back

and he doesn't go to jail. And it's all because

of his wife, basically. And he basically tells

Max and his people to get the hell out of town.

Pretty much, yeah. And then they save... Soup

spiting. Because he had to trigger the bomb in

the first place. And he has here, I'll find a

way. You haven't heard the last of Doctor...

Where am I? And I believe, and Spidey doesn't

know where he went, because I guess he kind of

got shunted into the time stream. See, that's

the thing that I'm, I'm not worried about that

in future arcs. I'm more so, like, see, I thought

when the explosion happened and everything was

fine in 2013, I thought that that time explosion

was going to send him to 2099. Yeah. And then

it would have locked out. the twenty ninety nine

study in the in in the past you know i thought

they're gonna do a switch yet actually what i

think it ties into is this current uh... kinda

fifth week of that they got going on with uh...

there's uh... three specials all new x -men indestructible

hulk and uh... superior spider -man team up where

because the whole thing with all new x -men is

like i said the original five x -men the young

ones are brought to the present by beast of the

like the present day hank mccoy dead kind of

shame cyclops into like don't be a dick and beast

goes to this university that he went to and he

meets like one of his professors who was a big

researcher gamma energy and there's this like

temporal event happens and like a supposedly

doctor octopus from the past shows up like green

and orange suited chunky bowl haircut goggle

wearing auto octavius and I'm thinking that that's

where Superior went while he's gone. But we'll

find out once that story concludes. And it's

basically Max says, Spider -Man, you go your

way and we'll go ours. And he's cutting all ties

with Spider -Man and Peter Parker. And Peter

goes to talk to Mary Jane. And basically, he's

going to tell Mary Jane to butt out of his life.

And Mary Jane kind of... You know tells him for

yeah, basically tells him to go screw yeah, and

then you see the The big like max has this big

research ship like this huge ass yacht basically

he's taking Everybody that wants to go and they're

gonna go off and continue doing their thing And

I think, you know, we got another couple of players

who are going to be added to the supporting cast

of Superior. Like, Uatu opts not to go because,

you know, his mom and dad want him to take a

break and, you know, take a step back. And Sajani,

that's her name there, I couldn't remember, basically

because she lied to Max and told him that she

did destroy the Reverbium. Yeah, and she gets

a call from Peter. It looks like she's gonna

become because she's got this whole Antisocial

and air she's like this got the makings of being

an antisocial and arrogant scientist mm -hmm

ie mad scientist basically Peter calls and It

looks like she's gonna get hired to be his like

lab assistant or something And yeah, it goes

back to the Caribbean and you see the Wraith

and Carly bacon to like this guy's office that

Antoine Moran who's basically an international

banker to the criminal elite Yeah, and they finally

find that all the money that you know spider

-man's been using to pay for all his new gear

on spider island is coming from the bank of Otto

Octavius now and it's like bump bump bump and

next issue the black cat returns now as far as

that look of like Carly's like I got you son

of a gun there on Carly's face It's how much

trouble is spider -man really gonna get in for

stealing from a criminal. I Mean stealing stealing,

but he's stealing from a dead criminal. I mean

really How many people are gonna like you stealing

from dr. Octopus? Yeah, so Yeah, but Carly is

smart enough to realize that there was you know

once she gets more to the puzzle after this I'm

sure she'll realize that It's the villain actually

in the suit and in the in the body. Oh, yeah

No, I mean we all know at this point she suspects

that there's some shenanigans But I'm talking

like other people like when she goes back to

New York and tries to make like life difficult

for spider -man About the only ally that's really

gonna give her any Backup outside of the Wraith

is probably gonna be Jonah because he wants to

get out from under the blackmail Yeah, that's

true and that but You know if I love I agree

with you that when we go to the preview for and

I like that sup spider -man Yeah, you get the

previews in the in the closing all Ogle more

over that as far as overall necessary evil. It

was a really really interesting storyline I think

it was a nice little three -issue art. It was

very solid is what I yeah it is the writing the

art All all of the art not just the individual

pencils inks colors, etc. Etc. Etc Yeah, but

all of the artists combined do an amazing amazing

job slot as the writers still still keeping me

guessing as far as what's going to happen next

with Superior Spider -Man. And I'm still enjoying

reading the comic. It's just... The reason why

we're going to be shifting after issue 25 is

because, like I said, even though I enjoy reading

these books before we record it today, I hate

having to wait. Oh, yeah, no, I understand that

you know, so But yeah, no necessary evil was

was very very awesome. Very very cool No, so

I'm digging it man. It's How could you not? Yeah,

really? So we're going to go to a quick ad break.

We'll come back with final thoughts, read some

of the previews for the next step, next issues,

earlier we're gonna do a previews for the next

couple of issues for Superior Spider -Man. We

did already talk about issue 20. Issue 20 actually

would have been reviewed in this episode, episode

38, but it was moved from October 23rd to October

30th. 2013 so what we're going to do here on

the pull bag is the next superior spidey issue

or episode whenever it comes out will be issues

20 and 21 And then the final Superior Spidey

single issue coverage will be issues 22 through

25. So, the Superior Spider -Man number 20, obviously,

Dan Slott, Ryan Stegman, etc., etc., etc., releases

October 30th, 2013. From the Fallout of Necessary

Evil comes new beginnings and new twists that

will be felt in the pages of Spider -Man for

years to come. Superior Spider -Man number 20

is where it all starts. Do not miss this one.

It is the first ever adventure for the Superior

Spider -Man. Spider -Man and the Black Cat. Felicia

Hardy always cared for the spider more than the

man, but what happens when that man is Otto Octavius?

Plus, a day Otto has been waiting for is finally

here. Is the world ready for Dr. Peter Parker?

And what he plans to do next? Dun dun dun! Cue

maniacal laugh. Yes. Uh, oh god. Why is Chris

Cooper's no voice in my head maniacal laugh Oh

God the cover for this I love black cat I was

wondering if if slot was gonna bring her in oh

man. How could you not? Yeah, so I mean that

was one of my favorite I forget the specific

issue But I know I've read it is this one where

you know Peter's like finally gonna give in like

him and Felicia Hardy are gonna You know get

it on and he takes his mask off and she like

turns around she's all like no, no, no put it

back on It's a little more involved like that

with her creepy emotional issues and everything

but yeah, it's just like no no, I like it with

the mask on and Now that I think of it. I think

of that scene in scary movie to where Marlon

Wayans has got the ghost And she tries to take

the bag off. No, no, no, you're beautiful just

like this yeah but yeah no i'm looking forward

to that because i mean the idea that you know

spider -man is edging ever so more closely to

becoming a villain yeah and because you know

he's being a hero in the most super villainish

of ways yes yes he is so you're looking forward

to that and the whole dr peter parker thing like

oh if that they don't end that issue with auto

letting a maniacal laugh loose i am going to

be very disappointed And the next issue like

I mentioned in the character before Stunner who's

You know like a night character from the 90s

admittedly a lot of characters created in the

90s if they're used now Somebody they're only

using that because somebody has that undying

love for them Yeah, and and I know slots got

this a lot of love for the hero for the heroes

and villains of the 90s. I like Stunner. Like

I mentioned before, she's this chunky woman,

overweight, kind of unhappy, who met Otto and

Otto fell in love with her. She has this technology

where she goes into basically a pod and it generates

this, more or less the Stunner form is like a

hard light hologram or some such. Okay, you know

it's like she's basically Amazon Amazon esque,

and she's beautiful and strong and can kick much

ass You know she's coming. I'm surprised honestly

It's really cut it taken this long for her first

slot to work her in because I thought You know

her she would have come for revenge a little

bit sooner Yeah, so basically superior spider

-man number 21 slot Giuseppe Camacuoli and Humberto

Ramos are on this issue. Obviously slot's gonna

be on all of them, at least for the immediate

future, since he's the writer. Releases November

13th, 2013. Stunner is back and wants revenge

for the only man she ever loved, Otto Octavius.

How will she avenge him? By killing the superior

Spider -Man. And I love you look at the art on

that where she's got hefting this car over her

head. Yeah, just the art has got this spider

-man's got this. Oh dear look at his face. Yeah,

this is gonna sting Yeah, this is gonna very

much sting and then the final one We're gonna

preview is what we will be doing in one of our

final episodes is part one Superior Spider -man

number 22 Dan Slott Humberto Ramos releases November

27th 2013 the first issue of the darkest hour

the spider event of the year flash thompson the

secret avenger known as venom is back in town

for a first run in with the superior spider -man

will their first encounter be friendly or will

flash sense something perilous about peter parker's

presence uh i freaking love this cover oh no

that's beautiful it's like they it's It's like

they just ripped it, like they took the superior

suit and just cloaked it in Spider -Man 3 goop.

Oh, God. Yeah, I could see that. And again, like

Stunner, Venom, this is another character I thought

would have shown up a lot sooner. But I'm glad,

and this is one of the things that I mentioned

when we first started doing this. When we first

started reviewing the series, I liked that they

weighed... I really liked that they weighed in

a lot. Sure, I didn't care for massacre. Sure,

I didn't care for the dumb trick twins or whoever

the hell they were. I didn't care for a lot of

those side characters, but I'm still glad that

Slot has built this story to the point where

he can now bring the classic villains in in some

way. Flash Thompson is venom. I mean hell. I'm

still trying to get used to Norman Osborn as

a venom and ultimate spider -man. I mean You

know you mean the cartoon yeah the cartoon all

right. Yeah. Yeah, are you talking to Harry?

I mean yeah, Norman takes the symbiote in the

one episode, but he was the green. I'm talking

about Harry. Yeah Talking about, I haven't seen

season two yet, so. Well, yeah, I know Slot's

got a plan, like you'd be stupid not to be. It's

just, I thought of all the villains that would

show up or all the characters, like at least

Flash Thompson would have shown up before, not

necessarily Venom. But yeah, no, I'm looking

forward to that. And I mean, they are, if they

have, I think they just finished up the Venom

series and, you know, stuff like. because they

just ended that series. If they haven't ended

it, The Last Issue is coming soon. Right. But

yeah, I mean, when you go back to like the previous

page in the end of 19 there, you know, we got

the update, like Superior Carnage is still going,

like Second Last Issue is just being released.

You know, Superior Spider -Man Team Up is coming

out where, you know, he's going to recreate the

Sinister Six as his own superhero team. You got

you know, the vet last issue of venom 42. You

got scarlet spider 23 where he's fighting, you

know Craven the hunter who's Virtually disappeared

from the spider -man universe for the longest

time. I Kind of like that Craven's not around

granted my only exposure to Craven is Spidey

94 that cartoon. Yeah, I liked him then but I

don't know it's like I'm getting kind of sick

of the hunter thing in in comics where sure spidey

it goes up against craven but wait over in batman

beyond we had the stocker who had the same kind

of thing done in the cartoon of the comic you

know the start of the the the stocker was the

same kind of hunter is craven it's like i don't

know so again i'm i'm glad that some of the characters

haven't shown up yet i do really love how How

slot is keeping Green Goblin in the background?

Oh, yeah, that's that's an amazing way to just

not and again like I said In so many of the other

superior episodes and when spade and I did that

three up there that that that GC geocast radio

episode where we did the final three of amazing

You know, I said that I hope that they don't

just Bring in the villains just for a villain

of the week story, and I'm glad that slot is

going for an overarching story for what however

long this ongoing is gonna go on for yeah, it's

just amazing because There's only so many times

you can see a weekly comic or a monthly comic

or whatever and have oh, that's the only weak

thing but But yeah, no, I mean, I'm I'm still

pumped about Sparrow Spider -Man. It's just the

whole cost of single issues adding up that i

have to kind of cut back on in the future so

oh yeah because i mean it's after you know what

oh crap what was that called the uh darkest hour

sorry just yeah like the next arc the goblin

arc it's called goblin nation ah and uh like

26 is a prelude issue And just looking on TF

-AW here, which I got to thank you for introducing

me to this site, because at least to get an idea

of what's coming when you look at the cover art

in that. Yeah, I only found them through because

that's what ComicList .com uses. Like when you

go to ComicList .com and you click on, like if

you want to click on a title to look at it, it

takes you to TF -AW .com, so. Yeah, I guess the

art on that hasn't. been released yet no probably

not but uh but yeah looking forward to that because

again of the green goblin is to spider -man as

the joker is the batman as you know and as much

as i love doctor octopus because i'm like i said

before and i'll say it again i'm a huge fan of

mad scientists like the guys they're just like

you're gonna end the world with this experiment

why do you keep going on for science Like there's

something about the arrogance of that that I'm

just love but yeah I'm so looking forward to

when they bring Norman back because I mean this

If I might speak blue for a month shit's gonna

go south and the gnarliest of ways for spider

-man with that story Before we go we're gonna

rank Zero to five stars. There are also half

marks in there on the GCR and Universal rating

system scale We're gonna rank issues 17 through

through 19. I'm just gonna say i enjoyed every

bit of it there wasn't there wasn't one moment

okay sure i could take a us uh... half a point

off for the consistent crappy ad placement that

marvel uses in their books but i'm not because

the stories were so damn good all three issues

for me get a perfect because the story was good

the structure was good the art was amazing so

or i should say maybe not amazing there was superior

I'm gonna give it to you the straight -up I'm

gonna give it a four and a half for that first

one because I I think the only reason I give

it that half -star back is I've been reading

comics for way too long and my urge to punch

a fictional character in the face was just coloring

my pain but no I mean it was the solid beginning

to a pretty solid overall story I mean you set

things up you know bring in like a you know Spinoff

character such as it is Yes with the 2099 and

it sets things up and it moves things forward

because I mean that they've been dangling this

interface since the beginning of the series of

the problems facing Horizon Labs The from previously

because you know Mary Jameson's got this bug

up his butt to blame them for every bad thing

that happens in New York City as He is want to

do And I gotta say, I just can't... I'm so used

to JJ being daily bugled dickhead. And really,

I don't think we've gotten enough of Robbie Robertson

in this series. Yeah, it's kind of a shame that

Robbie hasn't had a bigger presence. I mean,

the most you've seen Robbie in the almost year

long run of the series so far because you know

comes out every two weeks is There there was

in the beginning when Phil gets hired. He's in

there for a few panels and the most we've seen

a Robbie was in the the last arc with the Failure

Cobb Goblin and then this one appearance here

like clearly they're working towards like I said

the Daily Bugles gotta up its game and get back

the good graces in New York, but Yeah, he's a

criminally underused character in the Spider

-Man supporting cast and don't get me wrong I

love Mary Jane Watson. I have had a thing for

redheads ever since I was but the wee lad and

She is a legit one of my again one of my favorite

characters like, you know Screw you Kasada and

I don't like Spider -Man being married. So he's

gonna make a deal with the devil asshole and

but she hasn't been used at all hardly like literally

the last time we saw her is you know some vulture

goblin babies bomb her club and she's rescued

by this you know cute firefighter you know and

that's it and then don't think mj is gonna be

i could be wrong i you know i i don't know you

know i i would love to i would love to do an

interview with dance slot that would be amazing

um or superior either way you can want to go

with it but uh I don't think she's gonna get

used a whole lot after this after what happens

in these in this arc She basically says so long

tiger. I don't say if it was Peter in that bot

like the real Peter I'm sure it would date that

they might go in that direction, but I honestly

I hate to say it JT. I don't think she's gonna

be doing a whole lot Oh, no, and I mean you think

they'd be using aunt May a lot more like but

she and May's hardly been mentioned at all Yeah,

she's hardly shown up at all in the course of

superior spider -man and I I know there's a reason

like you know in slot we trust but Come on, dude

Yeah, like we got to know what's going on here.

All right, what do you give 18 18? I'm giving

a straight -up five like it's and it's rare for

me to like the middle chapter of Any story as

much as I like this? Outside of like the two

towers, but this one is solid setup for the finale

and it's also again moves the greater story forward

You know aside from the forgettable sequence

of it's the original Hobgoblin. No, it's Green

Goblin cosplaying because he's bored Like I understand

like that set up with felt like with Goblin Knight

and him in the underground layer the first thing

that was solved that moved things forward But

just to have him flying around and terrorizing

people it really doesn't aside from the fact

that he's just screwing with the spiderlings

It just hat doesn't have anything to do Yeah,

you know with the greater story And the finale,

what do you give it? Oh, that's a - that'd be

a five and a half if we had that on the scale.

Yeah, no. All right, where can people interact

with you online if they would like to? Oh, please

do, because I'm so lonely. Well, you do live

in Canada, so there is that. Yeah, you live in

Kentucky, so really, tomato, tomato. Uh, you

the law is inadequate. In order to shame its

inadequacy, it is necessary to act outside the
