This is The Brain, and you're listening to the

GeekCast Radio Network. Yes! We'll take some

time You are now on the inside of what I like

to call the circle of trust. We are all connected

in a great circle of life. You know something,

Bert? I think you and I are going in circles.

It feels like we're going in circles. The Circle

is now complete. When I left you, I was but a

learner. Now, I am the master. Because it's a

circle. Yeah, we heard about the circle. Yeah,

I swear it really would change. Hi, this is Greg.

This is Chuck. And this is Dan, and we are Talking

in Circle, brought to you by the GeekCast Radio

Network, a podcast where Saturday morning cartoons

are still alive and well. I say that because

today, We are going to be trying to bring back

Saturday morning cartoons in the best way we

can and by making them later in the day So we

can all sleep in exactly later in the day and

on a different day of the week So but no we were

going to be trying to create the ultimate Saturday

morning cartoon lineup I don't know if you've

heard but recently it was Basically made official

that Saturday morning cartoons in many ways are

dead on network television with that sadness

a little bit of your childhood does kind of Die

away there. So, you know to try to bring it back

get all warm and fuzzy with some nostalgia We'll

be trying to having the ultimate dream of creating

the ultimate Saturday morning cartoon lineup

So well, we'll be getting to that in our second

segment. But before we get to all that how's

the week been going for you guys? Pretty interesting

I myself got to go to One of these here haunted

attractions nice You have to say attractions

because there's houses. There's cars. There's

you know trails. There's Yeah, it's called driving

with my wife But yes, so What haunted attraction

did you go to? Well, it's one around where Greg

and I are from here. It's called Circle of Screams.

And that's just that science is waiting for graffiti

just to be added to it. But all right. Yeah.

Anyway, it was like it's basically it's an old

drive -in movie theater. And it's still operational

this past summer. It was anyway. and they kind

of like back up behind the screen there's like

some woods and stuff which is creepy to begin

with but um they set up all these things and

they take you on a hayride up through there and

after you get done with that you go to this other

thing where they have like a this clown house

that you walk into and there's like there's this

weird paint on everything and you wear these

3d glasses And all the paintings jump out at

you, kind of. It's actually really cool. That

part of it was pretty cool. And then you walk

up the hill a little bit, and you go into this

maze that was made with these gates that look

like prison cells, kind of. And there's actors

in there playing mental patients. And it's totally

dark, except they have a strobe light going.

Nice. And it just totally messes with your eyes

really bad. And it's weird, too, because you're

walking. I was with my girlfriend and her parents.

And I was the last one in line going through

this maze thing. And every time it blinks, you

see people in a different position. But you don't

see them moving in between the blinks. So it's

hard to describe, but it's weird. Every time

you see someone, they're in a different spot.

And the strobe light's totally messing with your

eyes. That's I hate to be the person that's in

that all the time like I kind of imagine what

that's like where you're like working there Yeah,

that's what we were saying is it was interesting.

It wasn't scary. I mean these things really don't

scare me anyway, it was interesting the strobe

light was kind of shitty, but The one funny part

was like on the actual hayride part like on the

wagon That part they didn't like jump out and

try to scare you. It was more like they would

stop at these little sets and they would have

like a little mini play that they would put on

or something like that they would act out and

The one we kind of stopped and this this guy

Really the only time someone tried to scare you

but this guy runs out of the woods jumps up on

the wagon and he's like amigos And I'm like,

is this a Mexican haunted here? Like, I don't

understand why. Like, why are you calling us

amigos? I don't understand. But then and then

he ran off laughing. So it must have been some

sort of inside joke, like the other actors. I

don't know. But I just thought that was kind

of funny. I think everyone else is like, oh,

my gosh. And I'm sitting there like laughing.

When we were on I think you were there too Chuck

when we're on where are some hey, right? I forget

where there was a such it was someplace where

it gets really dark and was like you can't see

anything So I was young and stupid. I would probably

hate the person that would do this now But I

brought out my phone and I just like lit up the

entire thing I'm like, yeah, I was like I was

that guy so I Know I know it was it was back

when like, you know, the cell phones aren't what

they are now It was like an old flip phone and

barely had us, you know You do that now with

some of them like my phone that like my note

now would be like it basically become daytime.

So Yeah, that's rather interesting. But uh, so

Greg you've been doing any Halloween festivities

as well not really I I'm not super into Halloween

I yeah biggest thing that I did is we have a

thing at work which is gonna be over by this

time this podcast comes out but my boss has this

Halloween set up and everything and I was the

one that came up with it this for this year and

we usually have Whole bunch of people come in

get their picture taken and they get a free five

by seven of uh them in costume with this background

that we have set up and I have kind of a haunted

mansion kind of feel going on I got like this

old chair fireplace this creepy wall with like

a creepy picture of Edgar Allan Poe and like

every picture of Edgar Allan Poe is kind of creepy

yeah exactly that's why I chose him plus there's

little uh little ravens all around and cobwebs

and I put a whole bunch of candles up on the

fireplace, so it looks like there's some kind

of weird seance thing going on or sexy time,

which will scare the kids to death. Or a sexy

seance. You can have a sexy seance. Those do

happen to people. I'm sure that's a costume someplace.

It probably is. Everything is sexy at this point.

Once you get sexy Ebola nurse, you got everything.

There's really such a thing as sexy Ebola nurse.

Oh, there is. I wouldn't want to sleep with that.

That's about the biggest thing I really do for

Halloween. Other than that, I've been mainlining

pop finals again. Because more came into the

mail I've started on jungle book. I'm not sure

if I said that I I got sheer con nice I've gotten

ca is it the sheer con from like tailspin where

he's like in a business suit and kind of bad

No, no, no, he's he's not in a business suit.

He's he's he's naked Like God intended him to

be yes, and I've got a blue And then also I've

got, from the Disney Robin Hood, I have Robin

Hood as a fox. If you ever seen the old Disney

Robin Hood cartoon. Yeah, he's pretty sexy. He's

quite a fox. Yes, he's a fox. And then King Richard

is the lion. And then you've got Sir Hiss. Oh,

Disney. That's actually, I think, an underrated

Disney cartoon. I do like that one. Yes, I love

that one, too, especially the music in that one.

Very nice. Yeah, I don't really have any Halloween

-related stories. I've kind of not done much.

The only thing we really do for Halloween is

buy candy and have no one ever show up and then

eat it ourselves. So that's pretty much the extent

of what we're doing. That's funny, though, because

everyone's asking if I'm dressing up and working.

I'm like, not at all. I'm like, no, and I don't

feel bad about doing it. I do kind of have a

funny story, though, because, uh. I was off earlier

this week and we were getting a leak in our bathroom

fix like it was kind of weird because I was off

and At home and then people are coming in to

get a fix So I was just kind of sitting down

watching movies and they were like doing all

this work and I'm like I it was kind of weird

but Couldn't really do anything I'm not allowed

to you know help or anything like that But the

leak was in our bathroom in our bedroom and in

order to get there you have to go through this

pretty long hallway in order to make sure like

nothing gets on the ground the plumbers put down

It's like plastic on the ground. So like nothing

would spread. It was like almost like a trash

bag in a way, but not quite. And put on these

little booty things on their on their on their

shoes. And it was there for a while. They were

there in the morning and left for a few hours

and had to come back once everything dried. So

anyways, I was like I had to go to my other bathroom

and had to walk across this. And I noticed it

was kind of slippery and just in my socks. So

and I have a rather long hallway. One night came

right up to you and you know being the adult

that I am I basically made this into an adult

slip and slide. I'm not gonna lie and it was

a lot of fun like I was just I got pretty far

too and The bad part was when I was doing it

and they walked in and saw me and that awkwardness

and then I'm like What hey, how's it going? He's

like it's alright. We do it too. I'm like alright

see Leave this here when you go making sure that

this is sturdy so You weren't like naked and

all wet and stuff I was getting there, but not

quite so I was doing my best Tom Cruise impression

from risky business, so But yeah, that was a

fun time. But besides all that, I was just trying

to keep up with all the crazy Marvel news that

was being dropped. A few weeks ago, we talked

about all the DC news. And then, of course, you

know, Marvel saying, OK, whatever you can do,

we can do better. And, you know, arguably, I

think that maybe they have. If you've been living

under a rock in the last few days, you probably

probably heard of it already. But I think it

all started Last week or two weeks ago by now

with the Avengers the age of Ultron trailer dropping

Did you guys get a chance to check that out?

It dropped like it was hot Dan. Did it drop like

it was thought? Yes, it did. It was pretty hot.

So what did we think of? It was hot. We told

you, Dan. No, I thought it was pretty freaking

sweet. Not sure if there are two separate ones

or not, but there was one that started off with

them talking about Thor's hammer, not his penis,

and seeing who could. That's a subtitle of the

trailer. Thor's hammer, not his penis. That's

Thor 4. Want me to put the hammer down? No, no,

please no. Keep it in your pants. Keep it in

your pants. God damn it, it got in my eye. but

I thought that little bit was funny and then

watching I'm assuming it was a kind of broken

kind of Ultron coming in and the whole kind of

creepy there's no strings on me That was delightfully

creepy. And then the wrap up at the end of there

are no strings on me and it's and it's Ultron

and James Spader, the voice sounds pretty cool

with it, especially with the little electronic.

glitch noise to it, the resonance that it gives.

Yeah. And then it also left up a lot of questions

because you see cap shields broken. You see Thor's

hammer fall to the ground and everything, not

his penis, even though it probably could fall

to the ground if he took it out. But it's probably

a sin against against Odin if it touches the

ground, kind of like the American flag can't

touch the ground. Would it still apply whoever

holds it if he's worthy? Yes, that's that's why

the new Thor is female. That is why the new Thor.

So I didn't mean to get us more off track. She

got down on her knees and she possessed the power

of Thor. Is the writing on it, too? Yes, it's

tattooed on it. It's definitely. He's got more

than enough room to fit it on there. It's like

a 30 point font that they use. Comic Sans. Wow.

Oh, man. But we digress. Oh, that's yeah. I'm

certain that's in like the Thor porn parody,

I'm sure. I'll look that up tonight. I'll do

some research. Let me zoom in on this. I can't

see if there's writing on that. Hashtag thorn.

But besides Thor's hammer, Chuck, what did you

think of the trailer? I thought it was awesome.

Just like the initial one that leaked online

and then the other one that came out with agents

of shield where they show that little extended

clip in the beginning. And see, this is going

to sound really bad after what we just went through

here. But I think I think Cap nudged his hammer

a little bit. I did not just hammer a little

bit. I think it moved. Yeah. Well, Cap was highly

motivated to try and handle that hammer. Yeah.

But see, in all seriousness, I've been reading

some theories like about this online and stuff

and what people think. And one that I kind of

agree with so far, or at least I would think

it would be really cool if it came true, is that

that was kind of a foreshadowing. And like later

in the movie, maybe when everybody's kind of

like almost defeated. How cool would it be if

Cap actually picked up Thor's hammer and used

it to kind of destroy Ultron or something like

that? Yeah, I also saw theory because you you

see in that clip that black widow Doesn't like

lift up the hammer that there's something like

maybe that's leading to something like maybe

she's not lifting it up because maybe she actually

can I mean, I guess if anyone could lift Thor's

hammer, it would be Scarlett Johansson Notice

notice that Tony Stark had to use toys to Even

he didn't even get it up with toys. That's how

I guess we did see warm machine in there and

there was somebody else sitting on the couch

with them I couldn't figure out who that was

that mockingbird or is that no they've confirmed

the actress, but they don't know what role she's

playing And they think maybe she's like somebody

that kind of works with Stark Maybe in the newer

comics because I'm not real familiar with it

But at first like at first glance I was like,

oh, that's Natalie Portman because she's like

literally right next to Thor Yeah, like I thought

I thought it was just Natalie Portman's character

but I don't know apparently people did their

little enhanced trick and zoomed in on it and

yeah, it's This is this other actress apparently

but not this is a bad thing, but I felt like

it was a lot darker than I anticipated oh, yeah,

and I mean the one thing I really loved about

the first avengers was that it was such a huge

piece of entertainment, but I Forget who mentioned

this on twitter. I think it was I apologize,

but I put that on twitter and they responded

well They responded and said the first trailer

for the first avengers was actually similar It

was darker and you had the ominous voice of Loki

and so it Might be similar to that where there

is a lot of entertainment, a lot of lighter moments

to what mixed ends. So, I mean, that's also a

possibility. And Iron Man 3 was really had a

dark tone to it, too. And that ended up not really

being the case. So maybe that's just kind of

what they're using to get your attention. But

not that I would totally be against dark superheroes,

but I just I feel like that. I don't know if

that fits the Avengers. Maybe in the storyline,

it would a little bit more. So we'll see. Have

you guys? been looking into the other stuff how

like people are breaking down like every single

screen capture of the trailer and stuff and Like

there's like the ballerinas in it Which and that's

with I think might be like origin. Yeah, like

black widow is about like a trained Classically

trained ballerina or whatever you call it and

that's the only one I know about the guy The

guy with the greasy hair that they show the close

-up of his face in the circus Yeah, they think

that might be the claw. Yeah, I saw that I heard

that too that he might be playing the claw and

Considering which we'll get to in a second where

we know the next movie after Avengers is Captain

or no Well, it's Ant -Man and then Captain Captain

America Which Civil War in Black Panther is gonna

be part in that too. So that could be leading

to that as well So no, were there any other little

tidbits that they mentioned besides besides those?

You know, you see the Hulk and Black Widow kind

of touching hands. Yeah. So they're kind of wondering,

like, what that's all about. Like, is it something

where, like, she can actually get through to

Banner while he's in Hulk form or something like

that? Can she calm him down somehow? But it's

like this stark contrast to, like, Avengers 1,

where she was, like, shit in her pants whenever

he was hulking out. She was deemed worthy to

lift Hulk's hammer. Yeah. But I guess part of

that, too, was in Avengers, he was kind of controlled

by Loki a little bit. But I guess another question

is, we see the Hulk versus the Hulkbuster Iron

Man. I'm still kind of curious. We had that question

way back when, when we first saw the images.

Was that Ultron in there? Or was that Tony Stark?

It appears to be Tony Stark. But I guess the

question is, why is he fighting the Hulk? So

I don't know. He got Scarlett Johansson and Iron

Man didn't. Maybe. I mean, it could be that simple.

Tony Stark is a megalomaniac. A little bit. It's

pretty sweet to look at the scale of that Hulkbuster

armor, like, you know, how it looks like it's

even taller than Hulk and everything. And especially

when he throws the car up against him and stuff,

you can kind of see how big it is. Yeah, yeah.

It looks really cool. I do like the fluidity

of the motion and whatnot. And I don't know,

I'm really looking forward to that and seeing

how that plays out. I wasn't sure about like

the final version of Ultron that they show. Like

his face is a little bit weird to me. Like it's

a little bit more round than I expected. Maybe

that's a rough version, like in the beginning

or something. Yeah. Or maybe they're like, you

know what? Let's not be like Michael Bay and

just make everything edges. So, you know, maybe

like let's go the different route. So but it

was weird that they made his eyebrows move. Yeah.

The part where he said there's no strings on

me, like his eyebrows come down like a Human

expression. Yeah, so maybe that's kind of what

they want to give him a little bit of a human

element or something That's very true then more

like the like the classical time which is just

a plain -looking face with no expression whatsoever

So which is still scary as hell. Yeah but also,

you know Marvel was just getting started with

that and They released tons of their Phase 3,

including, like I mentioned, Captain America

Civil War. The big news, of course, I mean, we

know Guardians of the Galaxy 2 is coming out.

We now have a title for the next Thor movie called

Thor Ragnarok. We know the Avengers, each of

the next Avengers 3 will be split up into two

parts, Avengers Infinity War. We're also getting

a Miss Marvel movie, Captain Marvel, a Black

Panther movie, Doctor Strange. You know, in humans,

you know, it's kind of, they're really expanding

this, this thing out there a lot. So there's

so much there. I mean, I guess the first thing

I say is when you heard about all the phase three

things, what were your first impressions? Well,

honestly, I wasn't real surprised by any of them

except the Infinity War ones. Because, uh, all

the other ones we've been hearing rumblings of

quite a bit lately. I mean, we knew Black Panther

was coming. Dr. Strange, of course. We kind of

had an idea Captain Marvel is coming and me especially

since I kind of Keep my finger on the pulse of

the toy industry a little bit. I've been seeing

some Carol Danvers Miss Marvel stuff popping

up lately So I get the feeling that they're trying

to push that but definitely the the splitting

of the Infinity War into two movies. That's kind

of my first surprise because I kind of figured

they would somehow lead into that with the other

movies and finishing up in one. But the fact

that they're doing two is pretty intriguing.

What about you, Greg? I found the Inhumans was

like really surprising. You really don't hear

much from the Inhumans that much in the comics

universe most of the time. And then it's another

space movie. They did really great with Guardians

of the Galaxy. But it's also been shown that

base movies are kind of difficult to represent.

And it's kind of a weird storyline with the Inhumans

because the Terrigan Mists and they were born

in... I forget exactly what mountains they were

born in. I'm not a huge Inhumans fan. It's kind

of like the same situation with Guardians of

the Galaxy, but they have proven themselves with

Guardians. Yeah, I think it was the Himalayas.

Mlyas it was kind of an asian setting. Yeah.

Yeah, and then they get up to the moon at some

point because they can't exist in Uh, earth's

atmosphere for so long or whatever I feel like

they're gonna be playing like the x -men role

in like the universe in some way I think like

that's gonna be their major push and stuff since

they can't use mutants I think it's gonna be

I know you mentioned chuck on like the shield

that they've had Characters that they recall

like specials or something like that. So yeah

gifted gifted sir. Okay So that I mean, I don't

know if that's related to that at all. But yeah,

I mean, I was really surprised by Inhumans 2,

Greg. And I remember way back, like, I think

it was our Marvel Marching Society episode. We

talked about movies we'd like to see. And I said,

I thought the Inhumans would actually make a

really good TV show like, you know, Game of Thrones

meets the X -Men. Because I think there's just

like a lot of drama there that you could have

so I'm curious where that's gonna go And where

that leads to like you said it I mean you can

make it into a space movie But I guess you could

set it on earth first, but they are very much

an isolated Unit like you it's really just about

the humans themselves like all the other even

guardians of the galaxy They kind of expanded

this universe, but the humans are really like

an internal group. So that's gonna be interesting

I think you're curious how they how they pull

that off Honestly for I wasn't surprised about

the inhumans only because for the the last couple

of weeks Watching agents of shield and reading

some articles about that There's there was beginning

to be some rumblings that they're possibly setting

up things about the inhumans on agents of shield

See now, I mean now I'm more intrigued to go

back to agents of shield. So Because yeah, there's

this whole thing with like with that sky character

And Colson kind of basically told her she's like

half alien and half human. And people are like

trying to figure out like her father's trying

to find her. So people are taking guesses at

who her father is. And like, you know, could

it be like Maximus the Mad? because he kind of

fits the description a little bit. But there's

all these theories, obviously, out there. But

people are making a lot of connections to the

inhumans. And there's this new object that they've

introduced called the obelisk. And at first I

was like, oh, is this going to be a new infinity

stone? Like, is this going to make it onto the

big screen? And then some people were talking

about how, like, this could be like the Terrigen

bomb or whatever. So I don't know. It's a whole

lot of. Speculation obviously, but I started

to hear some inhuman stuff thrown around. So

when I saw that I was like, oh, okay. Yeah Hmm

interesting the other part too that I found interesting

it would not I'm not surprised They're doing

a Civil War movie because we talked about that

a few weeks ago But I am surprised that they're

putting it into a Captain America movie and it's

like not his own Avengers film So guessing that

means like the next Captain America movie is

almost going to be Many avengers in some ways.

Are we okay with that? Just being like a part

of a captain america story Do we think that's

enough to do that story justice? I don't think

it puts enough uh divide because one of the things

about the civil war is putting a A divide in

the superhuman community and we don't even have

a really big superhuman Community to begin with

I don't think uh, maybe agents of shield has

kind of doubled or tripled the amount that we

get compared to the movies, but I don't think

there's enough superheroes. The scope of it would

be really, really limited because you're going

to have a very narrowed scope because you're

going to have what, like, you know, six characters

per se. Well, keep in mind, I know they asked,

still don't know how to say his name, Kevin Fagy

or whatever, about the Netflix projects. And

are those characters going to come into the movies?

And he said, Anything is possible. He didn't

give a yes or no. He just said anything is obviously

on the table for us right now So I know civil

war there was a lot of street -level characters

involved with that. So that's a possibility.

That's right You can think about that because

that you have daredevil you have the heroes for

hire Jessica Jones, I believe so I mean in that

doesn't count maybe characters they can introduce

too So you mean that that's a possibility as

well. So that's good point Yeah, plus, like Greg

mentioned, we now have Mockingbird on Agents

of S .H .I .E .L .D. And then next summer we're

going to have Ant -Man. Not sure if they'll...

Well, obviously, yeah, we're going to have Vision,

Quicksilver, and Scarlet Witch in Age of Ultron.

So there's a few more that will be introduced

by the time Civil War comes out, so I don't know.

But will they also be included in this Captain

America movie? Because like we said, it's not

an Avengers movie. It's a possibility, I guess.

I guess that's the question. Maybe for like a

more dramatic thing, it's going to be a more

personal thing between Steve and Tony. Like,

yeah, I think someone mentioned this in the comments

a few weeks ago regarding maybe that at the end

of Avengers 2, you're going to see Iron Man take

the mantle of being leader of shield and for

whatever reason, maybe Cap goes on the run. I

don't know. It's I think we're going to find

out a lot more of a better idea of it by the

end of Avengers 2. Maybe, yeah, maybe Cap disagrees

with. You know Stark's use of his technology

because he seems sees how it uh, you know turned

into Ultron and yeah, so Any chance? I mean the

infamous end of civil war was the fact that Steve

Rogers was killed Do we see any of that kind

of leading to possibly Captain America getting

killed? I do I as much as I don't want to see

it. I'd love Steve Rogers as Captain America

was much I don't want to see that I think it's

a real possibility and also because they've signed

suspension stand -on for like nine movies, so

yeah, maybe when infinity war hits somebody resurrects

him with the infinity gauntlet or something That's

a possibility that's one last thing anything

we can we can take a break but just looking at

like the end of phase three it almost seems like

after The infinity avengers affinity war that

maybe marvel will be going away from the avengers

framework. Maybe they'll be going into something

else because Like it feels like that those movies

are becoming more and more isolated Maybe the

world will expand further and they won't have

the avengers films or they'll be looking a lot

different And they've already said that you know,

they're eventually some of those people won't

be coming back. So And we know what phase three

is, but I think phase four is going to be the

really big challenge because what do you do after

the Infinity Gauntlet? That's like that's a hard

thing to kind of one up, you know, it's like

that's it's tough. I know one of their main focuses

is like shifting the roster of the Avengers.

And like you said, you have to deal with real

life and the actors obviously don't want to play

those characters forever. But something that

happened in the comics was that the roster was

always in flux. Yeah. I mean, you kind of. from

the most part, you always had Captain America

and Iron Man, but you had a lot of characters

come and go. So I think they're going to try

to do that and go in different directions. Yeah,

it's going to be tough. It's going to maybe they'll,

you know, move away from the Avengers and go

to the defenders, you know. And that's true.

I know the Fantastic Four is not theirs, but

they could try to. Get back, you know Oh, I guess

one thing too I should mention we do know who

dr. Strange is it is we talked about they officially

said it was him now Yes, I heard he was in the

running He was like one of the last ones in the

running the the press release I saw like made

it pretty evident that he was of course that

could change But it seems like that Benedict

Cumberbatch will be dr. Strange. I'm kind of

excited about that Yeah, I mean we mentioned

you you and McGregor which I thought would be

good but I'm all for Better than a Cumberbatch

playing that part. So that's that's kind of cool.

And we also know who is going to be Black Panther,

which is going to be Chadwick Boseman. Yeah,

Chadwick Boseman, who was playing who played

Jackie Robinson in 42 and Jackie Brown and the

get on up and now Black Panther. So that one

I'm more excited about. I really like him as

an actor. Yeah. Ever since I saw Cho 'chal Ojiah

4 in Serenity, I thought like he'd be the ideal

Black Panther. But I'm OK with Chadwick Boseman.

I did like him a lot in 42. I haven't seen him

get on up, but I'm excited for that, too. Wasn't

he in 12 Years a Slave, too? He may have been.

I thought I read that. I'm not sure. I think

he was in Red Tails, as well. So I'm not. Oh,

wait. That's OK. Perfect. Anything else about

the Marvel stuff we wanted to go over? not so

much marvel stuff but another movie announcement

that i'm super excited about 2017 my little pony

movie nice nice nice do we know is that we know

who the pony's gonna be no how expansive is that

universe gonna be you guys oh it's gonna be huge

then they're gonna get into unicorns and it's

just gonna take off from there will that like

will that come into I can't even think of another

thing that would go with My Little Pony. I have

no idea. Strawberry Shortcake also will be a

crossover with Strawberry Shortcake. I mean,

Strawberry Shortcake will come and then Pound

Puppies, Garbage Bill Kids. Cabbage Patch Kids.

Yeah, man. Care Bears. I'll mark that down. But

there is a lot coming out, so. But speaking of

my little pony oddly enough, maybe who knows

and we in dog tales We'll be getting into plenty

of Saturday morning cartoons in just a bit as

we try to create the ultimate Saturday morning

lineup But before we do we're gonna take a quick

break. So we'll see you in a second Mr. Owl,

how many licks does it take to get to the Tootsie

Roll Center of a Tootsie Pop? Let's find out.

One, two, three, three. How many licks does it

take to get to the Tootsie Roll Center of a Tootsie

Pop? The world may never know. Rebo's got the

beat and the band plays on. You can relive it

all with Kenner's Star Wars Return of the Jedi

Collection. Introducing Psy's Noodles and the

Revo Band. Job of the Hut action play sets sold

separately. Play it again, Psy. Storing Psy's

Noodles. Troopy, McCool on clarinet. Max Revo

on organ. Ribbit ribbit, Revo. Dance, Troopy.

It's your last solo, Snoodles. New Psy's Noodles

and the Revo Band. Job of the Hut action play

sets sold separately. From Kenner, Star Wars

Return of the Jedi Collection. Alright, and welcome

back. Like I mentioned, we are going to be trying

to create the ultimate Saturday morning. If you

heard recently, network television has kind of

moved away from doing Saturday morning cartoons.

And if you grew up in our generation, or pretty

much any generation prior, Saturday morning cartoons

were like, the best part of being a kid in a

lot of ways. Maybe not the best part, but they

were certainly a - element of it. I can remember

all the great cartoons watching as a kid, and

with that in mind and knowing that it's no longer

going to be that way, well, we're going to try

to create our ultimate Saturday morning lineup.

We have Any option to choose from we can choose

any cartoon during any time period the key is

that it's an actual saturday morning or children's

cartoon So something like the simpsons of the

family guy that is not a kid's cartoon So we

can select it but something like saved by the

bell which isn't a cartoon But was dedicated

on saturday mornings is eligible. So as long

as it was suitable for that age limit It's eligible

to be selected We're going to be setting up our

time slots from eight o 'clock in the morning

to 12 p .m In the afternoon, you're pretty much

your average saturday morning lineup And what

I'll also be doing, you'll have the opportunity

to vote on what you feel like is the best Saturday

morning lineup. The one that you would choose,

the one that you feel like would fit your perfect

Saturday morning. Well, if you go to geecastradio

.com, the poll will be there and you'll be able

to vote. So let your voice be heard and let us

know. So let's get this thing underway and to

be democratic as much as possible. we're gonna

go back to our last poll and see who won that

to determine who goes first and Last episode

we try to determine who would have the best chance

of surviving a zombie apocalypse and based upon

votes Greg you won the poll with a 45 % of the

vote, but Chuck was not far behind with 38 %

And I was way back there with only 17 % so I

was the Ross Perot of this election So with that

in mind since Greg won the poll he will get first

selection and then Chuck and then myself So Greg

it is on to you What two shows will you be showing

at 8 o 'clock in the morning and at 830 in the

morning? Hopefully, surviving zombie apocalypse

also carries over into programming Saturday morning

cartoons. They're basically the same thing. I

know, right? I will be going with the snorks

and the wuzzles. That was a complete fake out.

I will not be going with those two shows. Damn.

I was like, oh, yeah, my picture's still there.

I will be going with. the Animaniacs at eight

o 'clock to help. Fuck! Yeah, me too, motherfucker.

I will be going with the Animaniacs just to wake

the kids up because I'm not a morning person

and Animaniacs are crazy out there all over the

place. So maybe that'll get me going into my

day a little bit and wake me up and. Get me chuckle

it a little bit and ready for the rest of the

shows that I'm going to watch this morning on

my favorite Greg's television channel and then

for my 830 slot I Will be going with I'm making

this up right now as I go along and I'm fighting

for time to think of what I want I will be going

with the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. Little

live action going on with a little bit of the

animated, so that should definitely get kids

pumped up to watch the rest of their Saturday

morning cartoons. Some interesting choices there,

going with Annie Maniacs, which I'm not gonna

lie. Definitely still one of my choices. And

then the Power Rangers. I did not expect them

to go off the board that quickly, but... Hey,

you can't get - I'm shooting my load early, Dan.

Yeah, well, it's not the first time. All right,

Chuck, now over to you. So what are you going

to be putting on your 8 in 830 time slot? Very

interesting. I'm not going to lie, Animaniacs

was on my list, but I have many to choose from.

So I think I'm going to go with another heralded

pick. Hopefully, I'm not stealing it from you,

Dan, but - I think for my eight o 'clock slot,

I'm going to go DuckTales. Oh, that that is one

of my options. But yeah, I can't I can't fault

you there. So can't get wrong with a little DuckTales.

Everybody loves that. I'm surprised we did not

do the sound effects. So the best, the best cartoon

theme song ever. You know, at least it's up there

for sure. Let's see. How do you follow that up?

That's a tough one. Yeah. The eight thirty time

slot. I think I'm going to go with arguably the

second best theme song, Chip and Dale's Rescue

Rangers. Nice. I was just thinking of that one.

Somebody stop him, please. Somebody stop me.

Very nice. You can definitely tell we're 90s

kids. All four things chosen so far have all

been 90s. I think everything's from the 90s on

my list. Yeah. I'm going to buck that trend and

go really old school. Go in with a classic, a

tried and true original. Greg, you have Animaniacs

and this one definitely has a lot of roots. Animaniacs

has a lot of roots within this cartoon. Yeah,

I'm going with the roots miniseries. Animated

roots. Oh, just took a turn for the worst. Yeah,

it really did. It's up there with Anne Frank

pooping in the bucket. Oh, man. No, I'm going

to go with not the Animated Roots, but with Looney

Tunes, the classic cartoon. I'm not going to

lie. My first thought was Animaniacs. But, you

know, Looney Tunes is, you know, tried and true.

It's been around forever. It wasn't originally

for television, but it morphed into that. So

Bugs Bunny, you have so much there. I think any

kid needs to watch Looney Tunes at some point.

My thought process, too, was like the eight o

'clock and eight thirty time slot. You're mostly

like gearing towards younger kids. And this one,

I mean, maybe isn't specifically for younger

kids, but it's also one of the longest running

cartoons ever. You know, it's gotten the live

action treatment, though those movies are pretty

awful and it's Smurfs. Ooh, nice. So, again,

not a 90s cartoon. It's been around for a long

time. You know, it's been parodied a great deal.

But yeah, gotta love the Smurfs. So, they're

just a classic, and I know a lot of people love

them, so. Greg, where's the theme song there?

I never really watched the Smurfs. I may get

criticized for that, but I've I've never really

watched the Smurfs. Broaden your horizons. I

know. First, Jim Gaffigan didn't make a joke

about the Smurfs theme song. It's like, yeah,

like you can't come up with any lyrics. What

have you got so far? la la la la la la la la

la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la

la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la

la la la la He's an original, in the box, mint

packaging. It'll be on right after Archie Bunker

cartoon. Which probably was an Archie Bunker

cartoon. I think there was. I could be wrong.

All right. Well, we're now moving into the 9

o 'clock time slot at 9 AM. So 9 AM to 9 30.

Greg, it's back to you. So what are you choosing

for this time? Well, you know how Chuck stole

our DuckTales pick? Damn. That bastard. You did.

You also stole animaniacs. Wow. I stole animaniacs.

You did. You did. So I'm going to get revenge

for us on Chuck for the DuckTales. I'm going

to go with a cartoon that's just a little bit

cooler and has some of the same characters. I'm

going to go with Duck Wing Duck. Let's get dangerous.

Duck Wing Duck. Good choice. It's kind of a cross

between DuckTales and one of the geeks most favorite

things in the world Superheroes, you've got duck

wing duck out there fighting crime against all

these primorphized, well not primorphized, but

animals that can talk and live like human beings.

And you've got Launchpad McQuack in there, who

is a crossover from DuckTales. So how awesome

is that? Phil McQuackin. And then I'm going to

start getting into the little bit more adults

cartoons a little bit earlier here. And I'm going

to go with a cartoon that actually is has been

inspired from a movie. And it's one of my favorite

all time favorite movies. I'm going to go with

the real Ghostbusters. Oh, mother. Kids are going

to get scared early and Dan got even scared earlier

than those kids. So I think that's a really good

choice for me. That's that's a good choice, too.

Yeah. Thank you. Now you still to a dance. So

now you're the primary enemy. Mother, I'm coming

for you. Not really. All right, Chuck, over to

you. So far, you have DuckTales, Chippendale.

So you're heavy on the Disney afternoon shows.

What are you going next? Well, next pick, I'm

also going to buck the 90s trend, I think. I

lied before when I said they're all 90s. I'm

pulling a quick audible here. So for my 9 o 'clock

slot, I'm going to the classic Tom and Jerry.

Nice. Wow. I do love me some Tom and Jerry. Those

are just funny to watch. They are a good time.

It's funny when you watch some of those cartoons,

you realize how like overly violent they were,

yet still awesome. Yeah, I know. Giant lumps

coming out of your head when you get whacked

on the head with something. Yeah. And there's

so many like hidden things in them and there's

like so many dirty jokes that you don't realize

as a kid. You're like, wow, these people were

awful, but in the best ways possible. So what's

your next choice? So let's see, 930 slot, a little

bit trickier. I think I'm gonna go a little bit

of a reach here. I'm gonna say Johnny Bravo.

Wow. That was not expected whatsoever. There's

a big Johnny Bravo fan. I liked that show. Really?

I never would have guessed that. Johnny Bravo.

Of all the cartoons, I did not expect to hear

that one. What inspired you to choose that one?

I'm curious. Just how much I liked it. I don't

know. I always liked. It was just funny. Like

he was always trying to pick up girls and stuff,

and they always like basically ignore him and

like hit him with something. Stuff had always

happened to him. Is this why you hang out with

me, Chuck? Because I'm just like Johnny Bravo.

Yeah. Very nice. Greg Bravo. Thank you. Very

cool. Very cool. So I'm not gonna lie. I was

planning on picking the Real Ghostbusters, but

that was taken but okay though. This one is not

taken and I feel good choosing this one and honestly

This is one of my favorite cartoons going up

as a kid. This was starting in the 90s So it

just I guess does enter the 90s trend but there's

also so much of Smurf's been around for a very

long time and that is Garfield and Friends Do

you guys ever watch Garfield and Friends? I have

watched Garfield and Friends, yes. And you also

have the Happy Acres or whatever. I forget the

name of that. The other cartoon show, I apologize.

But yeah, I love that show going up as a kid.

I mean, Garfield's a great character. So I did

love that back in the day. If you want to go

for a cheap version of Garfield, you've also

got Heathcliff. Yeah, Heathcliff is like the

rejected Garfield. He is. He's Garfield without

the loving family. But so yeah, Garfield and

friends. And then also kind of sticking along

those lines. Another cartoon I grew up with as

a kid. I loved it. I didn't honestly watch this

much on Saturday mornings. I got to be honest.

I mostly watched the reruns on Nickelodeon, but

I still loved it. Still Saturday morning cartoon

show. And it's Jim Henson's Muppet Babies. Muppet

Babies. It's doo doo doo doo. I feel like every

time we talk about cartoon, it's just an invitation

for Greg to sing, so. But yeah. And what's interesting

about Mumpy Babies is that it hasn't been released

on DVD a lot because of all the licensing issues

it's had, because a lot of the shows have clips

of Star Wars and Indiana Jones. And honestly,

I think some of my first interactions with Star

Wars was because of Mumpy Babies. And it's just

a great cartoon, and I love it. I had to do a

little bit of a dive here, because I thought

I would be able to get Ghostbusters. But you

know what, Muppet Babies? I think it's better.

I think it's better. I said it. I said it. I'm

saying it. It's been said. All right. So next,

we have our 10 o 'clock. So we're getting a little

bit earlier in the day. This is the time, getting

near the time that Greg wakes up during the day

now. So. Lazy son of a bitch, Greg. So, Greg.

10 o 'clock and 10 .30. What are you choosing?

I figure after the real Ghostbusters, not a lot

is going to affect these kids. So what else are

they going to be scared by? What else is going

to wake them up? Why don't we go even scarier

and creepier? And we'll go with another movie

-based cartoon with Beetlejuice. Nice, nice.

Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice. And this

is probably around the time that all the goth

kids are waking up, so it's perfect timing to

watch Beetlejuice. You're gonna freak out some

kids, aren't you? That's like your goal. Yeah,

I have the scariest channel here. By the end,

it's the Exorcist cartoon. Did they have an Exorcist

cartoon? If they had the Roots cartoon show,

they're gonna have the Exorcist cartoon show.

Let's see. I didn't pick out another one. What

do we got one more round after this? I believe

sex in the city That's another scary cartoon

I would pay money not to watch that. So, let's

see after Beetlejuice I think they're gonna need

to get calmed down a little bit the kids so we're

gonna go with a nice soothing cartoon for them

to watch with X -Men the animated series I think

it's just because I knew you guys were going

to want that one. I figure I go a little early

on it. It's OK, I got a backup. I'll pick it

up in this round. When you said soothing, I was

like, Bob Ross painting? Yes, to Bob. There was

actually a younger version of Bob Ross doing

crafts type of stuff with painting and everything

that was on that I used to like to watch. But

I don't remember the name of it. Let's put a

little tree right over here, and he's going to

live there real happy. That's a happy tree right

there. And then right next to it, we're going

to paint the cutest little bunny shitting in

a bucket. We're going to give him a happy little

friend right next to him there. Oh, very nice,

very nice. All right, Chuck, over to you. What's

next on yours? Well, since Greg took my X -Men,

I have some formidable backups, however. because

I anticipated such... Chuck anticipates all.

No, I'm kidding. But my ten o 'clock slot, I'm

going to go with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Son of a bitch. I was hoping for a late round

sleeper there. Cartoons are so freaking cutthroat.

The cutthroat world of cartoon selecting. All

right. Fair enough, fair enough. Yeah, we're

easing them in here. We got some, you know, kitty

shows in the morning. Now we're getting into

some ninjas with some sharp objects. So we're

getting a little bit more racy here. That would

transition a little bit better to my 1030 slot,

which will be Batman, the animated series. Oh,

that was a good double round for Chuck there.

Oh, yeah. Yeah, it was. Good good pulls. Geez.

Yeah, I see I was I was hoping that those were

hell I should have I should have went earlier.

Yeah good picks So what am I gonna go with now?

Hmm. So you you went with TMNT and Batman. So

those are two hot tough ones to beat but Okay,

so I can't have x -men. I do I think I do need

some superheroes in here, but I'm gonna go with

Mask. Yeah, I'm gonna go with Mask. No, I'll

go with another one of a favorite cartoon growing

up as a kid, and that's the 90's Spider -Man

cartoon show. You know, maybe not as huge as

that of Batman or TMNT, but I still think it

was really good and lasted a long time. So, Spider

-Manian made a TV show. Excellent choice. Can't

go wrong with that. Since, you know, you have...

Batman the animated TV shows already taken. Well,

honestly I might have liked the show a little

bit better than Batman the animated TV show and

that was a continuation of Batman the animated

TV show and Batman Beyond No, I actually did

I do love Batman Beyond a lot I think it's a

really great cartoon Batman the return of the

Joker I think is one of the it's a freaking amazing

movie in it within itself So yeah, I'm gonna

go with Spiderman and Batman for my superhero

line up here. So I gotta give it to Chuck though.

That's a pretty impressive round for him that

selection So we'll see it. This is a home stretch

though. So we have our last two programming 11

and 11 30 Greg it's back to you. What are the

last two shows you're gonna be picking? So i'm

gonna go with the pick here that I I haven't

really watched but I know it's gonna get a ton

a ton of viewership, especially for People that

are a little bit younger than us three Like I

said, I haven't really watched the show, but

I know it's hugely popular and it still has a

huge cult following. And that is Pokemon. Uh

huh. Yeah. I know neither of you guys are going

to pick it. I know it's got a huge following.

So I'm going to go with Pokemon. And then for

my last cartoon, I'm going to go kind of really

adult. adults because adults would think it was

stupid and restrict kids from watching it for

the most part because I know I was when I was

little and that is Wren and Stimpy another very

cult classic cartoon and it's later in the day

so a little bit more of a grown -up kids could

view that one Yeah, I do like renders to be did

some really like interesting cartoons to like

inspired by rent recipe for a while that yeah

box had uh, there's like super day, which was

kind of similar and It was interesting interesting.

I'm sorry the neighbor's dog. It's log log Yeah,

I remember like that it's good it's log it's

log as a kid like That show freaks me. So as

an adult it was it's a freaky show. But yeah,

it is a little Somebody was on an acid trip doing

that cartoon. I believe no doubt All right, Chuck.

You had an awesome round last time. What are

you going with now? Whoo, this is tough. I Get

some I have some great prospects here for the

last two slots That's what she said. Hmm. See

I'm afraid to go younger because I have a couple

of good younger ones But then again, maybe the

older kids wouldn't sit there and watch cartoons

the whole morning. Only the older adults. Chuck's

going with Barney. Well, let's see the last two

shows. We had a we had a very strong superhero

round last time with Ninja Turtles and Batman.

Hmm. I have I have a couple of shows in mind.

One's a little younger one. One is for a slightly

older crowd. Slightly, but not much. Still a

young show. So essentially I'm taking my line

up and kind of winding it back down, kind of

like a cool down after a workout. We had the

warm up with the kiddie shows in the beginning,

got into the action, now we're having a cool

down. So my 11 o 'clock slot, I am going to go

with Bobby's World. Nice. Wow. Good choice. That

was one of my favorite shows growing up, but

I used to watch that and it was funny because

like my mom would hear me watching it and she

would like imitate the voice of the mom on there.

And that was always like funny. It always cracked

me up. Good memories there. So we got Bobby's

World kind of winding it down. Good, good little

comedy cartoon there. Get you loosened up for

your day. And then we got for my last slot. This

is going to throw you guys for a loop. Nobody's

gonna expect me to pick this one Dan. I think

you're gonna remember this Greg I'm not sure

if if you were familiar with this at all, but

my 1130 slot I'm gonna end it with a little bit

of a Little bit of a mystery show something to

get the kids thinking Scooby -doo something Not

quite Scooby -doo, but something to get the kids

thinking and using their noggin a little bit

of mystery and enjoyment along the way. Oh, I

think I know what this is. 1130 time slot ghostwriter.

Nice. I did see that show. Yeah. Oh, wow. That

was a great show. The reason you said I remember

because there was a time in school where we would

just watch that show and that was our assignment.

Yeah, we were like, I forget what we would do,

but yeah. Wow. Ghostwriter going with the PBS.

Yes, represent. Very nice. To get a ran from

like 92 to 95 or something like that. So another

90 show, of course, but Bobby's love ghostwriter

Very cool. Very good For those are my last pick

there. Yeah for those that don't know I mean

just some people that may not be aware ghostwriter

was like a PBS show was live -action had kids

Basically would talk to a ghost who would help

them write things That didn't really make sense

at all. It was like this floating orb thing,

but it would communicate with kids by text, any

sort of text written on paper or on a computer

or something like that. It would give the kids

clues as to how to solve certain mysteries and

whatever. The ghost also has Twitter. Yeah And

they also burn those kids as witches also in

the show So I think you could like follow along

during the show and try to like figure it out

yourself, right? Yeah, you can try to like solve

the mystery That's what we did as kids because

I think a lot of it was uses for like trying

to use clues to Inference and all that stuff.

So yeah, I haven't watched that in years. But

yeah, I remember really liking that show so I

am rather surprised by that, I'm not going to

lie. That did come out of nowhere. So I got I

got to hit this one out of the park So I finally

want to win one of these and I think I'm gonna

do it and I'm not gonna lie I'm gonna cheat a

little bit because I'm gonna appeal to I know

which is a big part of the key cast radio crowd

and that's the Transformers fans I know there's

tons of people who love that cartoon going up,

especially the founders of key cast radio So

that's what I'm going with for my 11 o 'clock.

I'm going with the good old g1 transformers that

was you know, huge during the day it launched

the the franchise that we know i know it's not

the greatest cartoon in the world but i think

nostalgia will kick in for a lot of people so

i honestly never really watched transformers

as a kid i watched beast wars so i thought about

going beast wars but i figure transformer is

just more the universal name so See, that's what

I think of when I think of my brother as Transformers.

He used to watch that, so I wasn't interested

in watching Transformers because my brother liked

them. Yeah, my brother did too. I watched a little

bit of it, but I can never get into it. I did

like Beast Wars a lot though. I don't know. I

think that was a generation before us, or I don't

know. Whatever. I just couldn't get into it.

But I'm ending with another one of my childhood

favorites. I don't know how popular this cartoon

show was during its time, but I think it's gotten

a lot of following growing up. It had a lot of

random humor, kind of like with Ren and Stimpy.

Maybe not as gross out as that of Ren and Stimpy,

but it's a lot of absurdity, no doubt. But it's

a show that's a lot of fun, kind of in the comic

book realm, too. And that is The Tick. Oh, I

was also thinking of that one earlier. Yes, Spoon

himself, which is awesomely is coming back as

a live action TV show. So I think on Amazon or

Hulu or something, they're bringing it back.

But yeah, The Tick. I love that cartoon. It's

a huge satire of comics, especially Marvel comics

and stuff like Galactus and what have you. It's

a great cartoon. A lot of fun. It's not necessarily

a kid's cartoon, really. It was on Saturday mornings,

but I think it really appealed to the comic book.

nerd. So let's run down the lineups here real

quick. So this is the Greg Cartoon Network. Starting

off the morning with Animaniacs. They're zany

to the max. They are zany to the max and then

see this would be perfect if it was saved by

the bell next because then I could be like oh

then they go to the max Power Rangers. No uh

no so you have Animaniacs and then you're going

into the live action Power Rangers and then Darkwing

Duck. at 9 o 'clock at 9 30 you have the real

Ghostbusters not the fake Ghostbusters but the

real Ghostbusters because there was that other

Ghostbuster cartoon show that shall not be named

at 10 o 'clock you're freaking kids out even

more with Beetlejuice 10 30 you're bringing in

the heroes with x -men the animated series 11

o 'clock you're going across the pond and across

the nation with Pokemon the animated series and

at 1130 you're again freaking kids out with Ren

and Simpy so Right to the lineup there Chuck

Cartoon Network. He's starting with at 8 a .m.

Ducktales moving into Chip and Dale rescue Rangers

There you go 9 a .m. Going into old faithful

itself Tom and Jerry then a switch over to Johnny

Bravo at 10 a .m. The action begins with Teenage

Mutant Ninja Turtles, and I should have asked

this Chuck, but I'm assuming you're going with

the classic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, not

the newer series. Correct. At 10 30, you're going

to possibly one of the best cartoons of all time,

Batman, the animated series. Eleven o 'clock,

you're kind of slowing things down for the kids

again, going to Bobby's world and then finishing

off with some education with Ghost Rider, not

Ghost Rider, the animated show, but Ghost Rider.

Man, you should get points off for getting an

educated education show I Actively try to go.

I love the magic school bus, but I was like,

you know what? I'm probably gonna get people

going on Education show screw that noise. So

I left it off. I like the magic school bus I

do too but let's be honest like I know at our

high school or not high school but If we did

watch the Ghost Raider in high school, it'd be

sad, but... They're probably not far off, but

yeah. We didn't learn anything from it in elementary

school either. We were just like, oh, TV. Yeah.

Yeah, I mean, you know, education stuff can be

fun. PBS had some good stuff, you know. I remember

watching Wishbone as a kid. That was a good time.

And that dog is dead. So there you go. Where

in the world is Carmen? Oh, man. That's awesome.

I didn't pick that because I wasn't on Saturday

morning. They did have a Saturday morning cartoon

show, which I liked a lot too, but... It wasn't

on for very long. Alright, so lastly, my cartoon

network. I'm starting with Looney Tunes, and

then going to Smurfs. Keeping with the comedy

at 9am, I'm going with Garfield and Friends,

and then Jim Henson's Muppet Babies. At 10 o

'clock, I'm going into the Superhero realm with

Spider -Man, and then Batman Beyond. And finally,

I'm finishing off with the infamous Transformers,

and then lastly, the hilarious Tech. So all those,

I will be putting up a post on geekcastready

.com with more of the listings of all the different

cartoons. So you can try to vote for who you

think is best. So how about real quick, did you

guys have any like two or three or four honorable

mentions? Yeah, I was thinking about Samurai

Jack. I almost picked that. GI Joe. I thought

about Saved by the Bell, honestly. Yeah, yeah,

I didn't really watch that much as a kid. I know

a lot of people blame that as the killer of cartoon

So I was worried people would not choose that.

I don't know. Did you guys have any other honorable

mentions? Doug? Oh real monsters angry beavers

That was probably about it for me, I guess. What

about you Chuck? Yeah, I definitely had some

I know one of them a couple of them you guys

took but the ones that weren't taken I wanted

to mention Justice League yes oh yeah yeah like

that one a lot and then a newer one that i really

really like though and i think it would have

been great back in the 90s but that's uh avengers

earth mighties heroes see i was not a big fan

of avengers earth mighties heroes really yeah

i just i didn't like the whole like them changing

into like power rangers i don't know i i don't

know what that was wait what who did that oh

no no i'm sorry i'm thinking of the 90s Avengers

cartoon. Yeah, no, not that one. Yeah. Yeah.

Yeah, you're right. No, no, no. I do like the

newer one. Well, it's like not the newest new

one, but the one. The newest one is Avengers

Assemble, which isn't quite as good, but Earth's

Mightiest Heroes. Yeah, I like that one a lot.

Yeah, I like how they mixed in like the movie

universe with the with the cartoon universe.

Yeah. Another one that came to mind, too, I thought

about gargoyles. I just couldn't find the right

spot for it. I was I was actually just going

to say gargoyles. I like that one a lot. Voltron,

you know kind of the precursor to that of the

Power Rangers, Thundercats. Thundercats, yeah.

G -Man, Masters of the Universe. G -Man, yeah.

I see I can watch like the 90s cartoons, but

some of those 80s cartoons I can't watch anymore

as a kid. Like I go back to watch some of the

G .I. Joe cartoons, I'm like, this is just awful.

This is really bad. Oh, and there's a lot of

the, you know, the Disney afternoon stuff, Tail's

Bend, Gummy Bears. I thought so. How about Fantastic

Four from the Marvel Action Hour? Yeah. And Iron

Man, because they had that too. Fraggle Rock.

Oh, Fraggle Rock. God damn it. I didn't even

think about that. Dancing carelessly. Worries

for another day. Let the music play. A couple

that I always liked was. Down to Fraggle Rock.

I always liked. What was it? Courage the Cowardly

Dog. Yeah. That was good and then eat the cat.

I loved eat the cat. Yeah I love this cartoon

Fillmore like recessed like some of the stuff

that ABC had the one Saturday morning stuff I

thought they had this really good show too, which

was like The Weekenders and it was like a science

court TV show, which was like again educational

So I didn't you know, I tried away from it. But

with that that was interesting Bill Nye the science

guy. Yeah What was the other guy? Beaker or whatever,

the guy who was like Bill Nye but not as good?

I don't know. Because I forget. Are you talking

about Beaker from The Muppets? No, no. Hammer

Man! Oh, you know what? Also Hammer Man. Should

have chose that. Hammer Man? The cartoon from

MC Hammer? Uh, no. You don't remember that? Or

Sports Heroes starring Michael Jordan, Wayne

Gretzky, and Bo Jackson. No nose cartoons. Yeah,

and of course like Wayne Gretzky had a killer

mullet and everything so That's also educational

don't get a mullet But yeah, there's a lot to

choose from it was tough because I was trying

to like get snapshot of different things So I

didn't want to go too far, but I figured you

try to hit all the different frameworks and whatnot

so it's tough you can almost do this again with

an entire new different cartoons and Not even

choose this one. So but I don't know it was fun.

All right. Well, hope you enjoyed our Saturday

morning Project, we would love to hear what you

think There's tons of different ways to get in

contact with us and we'll get into that at the

end of the show Before we go we like to end each

episode with a letter and this week we are entering

back into the unknown saga with episode 11 Taurus

The first thing that Don did before taking me

on a tour was to warn me. The city is deceptive.

It is very dangerous inside those walls, he said.

As soon as I walked into the sprawling city,

the warning was immediately forgotten. Large,

clean city streets filled with people, young

and old, of all different races. Smells of many

exotic foods wafted out into the street from

houses or from many of the street vendors. The

buildings were stark blinding white that gave

the city a heavenly glow. How could a place like

this even be considered to be dangerous? I don't

know. Pay attention. Now you must stay away from

the man that lives in this house with the bull

horns over the doorway. Why is that? He is the

city's largest crime lord. How do you know that?

Because I used to be one of his lieutenants.

I don't know. How bad can he be? Look at all

those smiling kids he has playing outside of

his door. That is because all the parents of

the city send their kids to play there. The man

has a soft spot for children and doesn't allow

them to get hurt in any way. So, what is so bad

about him? Even though he has a soft spot for

children, he has no problem making those children...

orphans he has adopted many of them and they

have become a large part of his muscle wouldn't

the uh kids try to kill him for revenge some

have tried but most are too scared to attempt

it or those are too young and realize what has

happened and when they do find out what happens

as they age they have already been so thoroughly

brainwashed that they don't believe that it happened

to them Enough of these questions, we must hurry

along before I am spotted. I know a place we

can stay, so come along. Hey, mister. Yes? Why

are you dressed so funny? What do you mean? Then

it dawns on me that I'm wearing clothes from

my own time that must look completely foreign

to these people. I'm a traveler, and I come from

a distant land that many have never heard of.

It was the quickest lie I could come up with.

Who knows what kind of scientific time travel

mess I could cause. Where do you come from? Do

you have monsters there? Um... I come from a

place called... The Unknown. There are some monsters

there. Do you fight with them with that? The

child reaches out for my gun and I overreact

and slap the child's hand away. It wasn't hard,

but it scares the child and he cries. I'm sorry,

I didn't mean to. It's just dangerous and I didn't

want you to hurt yourself. A very large man approaches.

I think it's time for you to move along, sir.

Remembering what Don has told me, not wanting

to start a scene, I apologize and do as I'm told.

As I walk away I realize that Don is gone. He

walked off without me. I hope nothing has happened

to him. Stretch Armstrong, I will destroy you.

Introducing Batman, Stretch Armstrong's arch

enemy. Use the super sucking back bump to turn

him into a mutating monster, then stretch him

to villainous proportions. He stays that way

until you press his cybernetic button, but will

this be the end of Stretch Armstrong? Back attack!

blinding white light that gave the city a heavenly

glow. I don't know, maybe... Chuck? Yeah? It

actually doesn't belong. I just re -read it again.

Alright. The buildings were a start, Greg can't

make up his mind. Just kidding. Buildings were

a start, Greg should actually read this stuff

before he says it.
