A podcast that's going in new directions. I say

that and... The mood of transparency, you might

notice a few things differently going on with

Talking in Circles in the future. Basically what's

gonna happen is that you might notice our episode's

getting a little bit shorter, you know, we're

getting older, up there in age, we can't hold

out as long as we're used to. In trying to make

the best podcast possible, we thought... you

know, uh, going quality over quantity. So we're

going to try new things, see how it works out.

You know, you might get an occasional 45 minute,

hour and a half hour podcast, but probably not

going to see the hour 90 minutes, sometimes up

to, I think our record is three hours was our

longest podcast for the bad -ass bracket. Uh,

that was, uh, that I don't think we'll get that,

get that anymore. That was back in our young

and days when, uh, we just didn't, we just couldn't

get enough, but what do people have better to

do? Come on. That is true. That is true. So there's

plenty of old content out there if you just listen

to us But for those maybe joining us for the

first time talking and I don't do that But yeah,

so you might have done a little bit differently

But we're gonna try to keep things fresh like

we always do so giving a heads up now So if you

notice that why is this one only 30 minutes or

45 minutes? That that's why so it's not it's

I didn't mess up the editing like I've done in

the past That's actually we're actually trying

to do a little tweaks here and there to see how

things go. So So today we're gonna talk about

tons and tons of different things though There's

a lot of great things to talk about first off

last week We talked about the NFL preview and

got a lot of great response to that already And

but one thing we talked about was the fantasy

draft and that happened guys. We had a fancy

draft We came we saw we conquered. How do you

guys feel you guys pulled off this year in the

draft? I'm actually pretty happy with mine. I

know the like the early rounds went exactly like

I wanted them to for me anyway I always like

to get running backs and wide receivers pretty

much in the first four rounds. So, yeah, I was

pretty happy with how it went. I like some in

the later rounds, I had some guys kind of stolen

from me. But see, we had another we had another

Dolphins fan in there. Yeah, we did. He was taking

all my Dolphins, guys. He was. There's actually

some people in our league that some people will

be aware of. Kevin Optima -Solo from Cinema Geek,

C .J. Valentine from Simplistic Reviews, JD from

Incession Film. They also took part in our little

draft. And yeah, Kevin and well, DJ is also a

Dolphins fan. So there is just an abundance of

Finns fans. It was kind of crazy. Hey, I love

it. I can't complain. Even if I wanted some of

those guys. I enjoy the camaraderie, so welcome,

fellas. You did get Lamar Miller, though. So

you got that. I did. I did. Yeah, yeah. Greg,

how do you feel? How do you feel? Well, Yahoo

keeps telling me that I did, uh, well, at first

it told me I did really good and told me I was

about ranked about fourth. And then for my grades,

they told me I got a B minus and then ranked

me ninth. So I have no idea how I should be feeling.

I think my team is pretty decent, but who the

hell knows? Dumb shit always happens throughout

the season. Hey, I mean, at least you didn't

take, you know, Ben Roethlisberger in the first

round. Defense in like the third so Yeah, I saw

that going on I think yeah, I I don't know how

I feel about my draft for certain players I try

to covet each year and I didn't get them mostly

because I ended up drafting early and I was the

third pick I believe and I don't like third pick

I cuz you know, you're kind of stuck in with

certain players that I'm not A fan of you know,

I technically can draft whoever but I feel weird

drafting Odell Beckham jr. Third So I didn't

get adrian peterson, which is the first time

I think i've ever had him on a fantasy team so

hopefully that that builds well, but There are

certain players I was trying to get like I was

trying to get some of the Eagles players But

I waited too long and I should have realized

because we have Phillies fans in our league So

they went way too early, but I did okay I mean

I got some players that I tend to get every round

like I've been getting travel Johnson the Minnesota

receiver every year every draft I've had so far

and I'm hoping big things for him. There are

a few picks where I'm like Based upon 80p and

based upon the projection like they were steals

But I didn't feel great about them because I'm

a little unsure like I got CJ Spiller really

late and he could be great but he's already injured

already so and Same thing with Tori Smith. I

got him like one of my last picks and he might

be good but I to me I don't know with him in

San Francisco, but But my starting lineup is

pretty solid. I got Tony Romero as quarterback,

and I think he'll be pretty good. Randall Cobb

with Jordan Nelson out. Hopefully he can kind

of step in his shoes. T .Y. Hilton, E .G. Pearson,

like I mentioned. Amir Abdullah, which he's been

coveted by a lot of people. People are thinking

that he is a shot at rookie of the year this

year. I don't know about that, but I have pretty

big depth with running back, because I also have

Alfred Morris. So tied in, I'm sketchy, because

I have Zach Gertz, and he's injured, and that's

all I have. So I'm actually already looking at

the waiver wire because he's apparently not going

to be ready for week one. So I don't know. Do

you guys want to talk about any players you picked

up in particular that you're really happy about?

Well, I would like to explain what happened to

me when we started the draft. Oh, yeah, that

was fun. And it seems to be a recurring theme

because actually about three days before we had

our draft, I had my other fantasy draft. With

my other league in which by the way is a 16 team

league. I did one of those last year though It

gets it gets it gets sketchy by the end gets

really hard. You're down to like third string

guys that like hardcore fans have never even

heard of but You got a few baseball players just

by mistake. Yeah I think I picked up like Otto

Graham or something. Maybe I don't know Like

1940 no, but uh you know we had that all set

up we had 16 people all gathered in one place

we were actually all there drafting which was

pretty exciting but um the bad part about that

is uh that many people on the wi -fi yeah yeah

and i uh i was able to get my first pick i think

um i picked 11th and was able to get marshawn

lynch which i thought was really good really

is it a ppr link no it's not Really? Yeah. I

was able to take advantage of some bad drafting

by other people, in my opinion. A lot of quarterbacks

go early? Is that what happened? Yeah. Andrew

Luck, Aaron Rodgers. I'm like, you know what?

I'll pick up a decent one later on. So it was

better for me. But after my first pick, I proceeded

to get booted out of the draft room. And I couldn't.

You got to drop, you stole it. So they're like,

nope, he can't come back. So I couldn't get back

onto the Wi -Fi. I totally got kicked off. And

I'm trying, I'm trying, I'm trying. He had two

different networks. I'm trying both of them.

Can't get on. Everybody's like, Chuck, it's your

turn. Are you in? Are you in? I'm like, no, I'm

not. And I'm freaking out. I hate when they ask

that question. Nickel for every time. No. So

I don't. get logged in by the time my pick goes

and it's like, oh, they, you know, the computer,

uh, picked, uh, Lashon McCoy for you. So I was

like, eh, okay. But I mean, I guess I got two

top 15 running backs of, you know, within the

first like 20 picks. So I was kind of impressed

by that, but Lashon McCoy wouldn't have been

my pick, but it was okay. You know, I could always

trade them or something, but so then we have

our draft and, uh, get booted off the Wi -Fi

before even my first pick and You know, I couldn't

get logged in in time Deanna's trying to help

me out there much appreciated but I guess that

uh it auto picked Dez Bryant for me which I was

pretty happy about too because I was number eight

in that draft and I didn't think he would fall

that far in a PPR league but so I was pretty

happy with that. Well helps when uh you know

someone picks up Wethersburg in the first round

so yeah yeah in our draft too like there's a

lot of people going quarterbacks early defenses

really early and tight ends even yeah so I was

like, well, I kind of forced me to take a tight

end sooner than I wanted to, but that happens.

You kind of got to adjust sometimes. Yeah. Same

with me with quarterback. Cause I was, what I've

been doing is getting, getting Brady and then

getting Bradford. I figured like, you know, Bradford's

I'm hoping good for these four games. Yeah. But

by the time he was already, I think Bradford

even went before Romo or I forget, but I mean,

he's looking great, but so I ended up getting

Romo and also picked up. And Carlson Palmer was

the only, I wanted a backup and there was like

no one left. So Palmer, which, you know, he might

be okay. Don't feel bad because I have Carlson

Palmer as my starter in the other league. Oh,

really? He might be good. He might be good. Yeah,

he could. I mean, he had a good, he would have

had a good year if he didn't get hurt last year,

probably. But yeah, the draft is such a fluid

thing. Like when, you know, if someone starts

taking a Tight ends or something or starts taking

quarterbacks. Then all of a sudden there's like

a fire sale on Those and people are just looting

them. So you kind of have to Change your strategy

on the fly and pick one before you lose it and

it's funny like I should have not even showed

up because One of Dave who won that last year

who didn't show up to the thing He couldn't make

it to the drafts what I'll pick for him same

thing this year and he ended up projecting with

the best draft of the entire league so but that

i think that also has the fact that it's going

based upon y 'all who are ranking so then so

but i'm always scared to do that though because

like in my other league someone had their set

to auto draft and then later on it picked like

four running backs in a row for them yeah yeah

it gets a little weird but Greg your team looks

pretty solid yet manning Evans to Shawn Jackson

Marshawn Lynch Forte and Lynch as your running

backs That's yeah, I have impressive running

backs. I think but I'm not sure about the rest

of the team I know Deshaun Jackson is pretty

damn good But he gets so freaking cocky with

shit. He always does dumb stuff. Yeah. He'll

get you like 30 points one week and then like

three the next. Yeah. He's like, he's a big player

boss. But you got C. Smith Sr. who, man, he's

a guy who just can't quit. Chris Ivy, you got

him really late. And that was actually a pretty

good pick up because. Thank you. I don't actually

like put much thought into things. I'm like,

I think he's good and I'm doing research there

on the spot. I don't. Yeah. do any research beforehand.

So I'm hoping I did well, but I'm always worried

because I'm the least experienced and I probably

know the least in the league. So I'm a bit worried

and I was hoping you guys would say I did pretty

good. So apparently Tyler Eifert, I believe his

name is on the tight end for Cincinnati Bengals.

They told me that apparently he was like a terrible

pick in everything. The Yahoo thing was... was

giving me crap about that, so I don't know. But

are you going to believe some Yahoo? Yeah, exactly.

I don't know. Titan's tough. You have Graham,

Gronkowski, Kelsey, who I guess is hurt now.

Yeah, but it's a minor injury. They have them

ready to go for week one Yeah, you have like

those three and then it's a bunch of like guys

who are about the same. So it's Greg Olson you

could throw in there too. Yeah, Greg Olson too.

That's right Yeah, he's and I think Collier Rudolph

would actually have a pretty good year I should

have picked him up but Zach I got Zach Ertz and

you know that I was trying to get people from

that Eagles offense because it looks like it's

gonna score a lot of points, so But I only got

one player, stupid. So many Eagles fans in our

league. That must've been tough for you. You

hate the Eagles. When it comes to fantasy, my

only goal is winning. That's my goal. It's like,

I just want to win. I put my fandom aside. There

might be certain people, like I won't pick up

the Shawn Jackson because I can't stand him.

And also like he's so like, I feel he's hard

to, he's a hard player to pick, but. Besides

that like I pick it up promo. I hate the Cowboys,

but I would even pick up like, you know, I was

picking up I think I was gonna try to get Ryan

Matthews because chances are the Sean McCoy gets

her because the tense of what happens and then

help me to start running back But he was again

taken earlier and then Kevin Optimus solo from

cinema geeks. He stole what I've been doing for

every draft and that's getting like Aaron Foster

and like the 10th round He went like really early

early and it sounds like he's got gonna be back

pretty soon. So but yeah, it's fun I enjoy but

now that now the season begins. Yeah, so I'm

hoping you never know cuz there that's the thing

with that draft like Yeah, no one's picking a

Tony Brown and leaving on Bell in the first round

last year and then so it it's hard to very rarely

do people a match wherever you pick them, either

they're better or worse or so. Yeah, I like to

try to project somebody that's gonna have a breakout

year. Like this year, in both of my leagues,

I picked up Devonte Adams of the Packers because

I figured since Jordy Nelson's out for the year,

Cobb and Adams are their two main receivers and,

you know, Roger spreads the ball around a ton,

gets a ton of touchdowns, so. Yeah, I think the

same thing's gonna happen to Jeremy hell which

I have him with one link But I wasn't able to

get him in our league because by the time I picked

he was way off the board So I ended up getting

Randall Cobb and T. Y Hilton, but I was hoping

to get Brian Cooks But again, he was taken before

me like every time there was like a player I

wanted to get and like it was just one of those

drafts where it's like dang it and then Once

I picked I had to like scramble and get someone

who wasn't really all that excited about We'll

see this is why I do not research beforehand

because I'm I'm just gonna be end up switching

around things anyway, so I tend to actually I

found this awesome article from CBS which was

really helpful because what it did was it would

split everyone up in the tiers like good people

to take first round and running back for each

position so it made it so much easier because

it's like these people you should take in this

round and it was just like a good guide to you

so I knew that way I knew I wasn't reaching or

if I saw what was projected a good pickup because

I trust CBS way more than I trust Yahoo. Which

is weird. CBS is pretty solid when it comes to

fantasy. And ESPN, too, for the most part. Yahoo

is a little bit, it's like third string, really.

I would change our league to something else that

wasn't Yahoo, but we've been using it for so

long, and all of our history is there. I like

kind of looking at that, so it's the only reason.

Yeah, and I like looking at the records every

year or two. Who had the quarterback with the

most points in a game or whatever. It's hard

to let go. It's hard to let go. It is. But I

think we've got enough football talk for now.

We're going to talk about it as the year goes

on, hopefully. I mean, depending on how our teams

go. You might not see it. We'll see how it goes.

But one thing I did want to talk about, we teased

it last week, but it finally happened. I did

get to catch up with now the first two episodes

of Fear the Walking Dead. And Chuck, I know you

watched the first one. Did you watch the second

one as well? I did. I did. I enjoyed it a lot.

So I've heard, I've heard differing opinion.

I would say mostly negative when it comes to

the show. I was curious, you know, how do you

feel if you had the Walking Dead stacks up? I

think I could understand those criticisms after

the first episode. You know, I heard some people

saying like how slow it was to kind of develop.

And, you know, the first episode was actually

a 90 minute episode. Well, 90 minute on TV. Obviously

not that with the commercials, but yeah, but

it was an hour and a half televised And so it

was a little bit longer, but it was it was slow,

you know try and develop things but I know you

have to set things up and I kind of enjoyed Looking

at some of the smaller details in there like

you know all the references to like the kids

Missing days at school like people out sick and

then like, you know as they're driving down the

road you see all like the missing posters like

hanging on the the fences and poles and stuff

like that, like just stuff that they don't slap

you in the face with, but you kind of pick up

in the background. I really enjoyed, like, looking

at that stuff. And I really liked what they did

with with the main character, Nick, just sort

of using the guy that like no one would really

believe. And, you know, in reality, he was right,

you know, like nobody wanted to believe him,

like what was happening and stuff. So I like

that. Does he look like johnny depp like from

what's even eating gilbert grape Yeah, but you

know what I thought actually if if he gets a

little bit older, I think he would make a perfect

gambit Yeah, maybe I could see that if you pull

off the occasion I would actually trade him out

for what's chaining chaining tatum right now

Yeah, I wouldn't disagree. I wouldn't hesitate

one bit to do that But uh, but yeah like You

know, yeah, I understand the first episode was

slow, but the second episode I thought it really

took off and I enjoyed the second one like 10

times more. There was just a lot more action.

They started getting into relationships and like

splitting, splitting things apart to kind of

set up like difficult situations and stuff. So

I think there's a lot of potential there. Yeah,

I agree. I the first episode was. rather slow

I don't know if it needed to be 90 minutes I

think it could have been maybe cut down a little

bit but it's tough because what they're basically

doing is kind of taking the first 45 minutes

of a zombie movie and expanding it over a couple

episodes of a show so it's challenging to kind

of build that up so I was surprised that the

focus was on just one family I thought which

I understand I guess it's going to slowly incorporate

more characters as we go on kind of like the

the Walking Dead did. And it was interesting,

too, was that I thought you would see more of

it on a worldwide scale, because you're kind

of dealing with it as it's starting. But really,

it's localized into this one city, into Los Angeles.

And it's strange how it's happening. It's one

of those things where you can see it, like you

said, the details there. And then there's almost

a disbelief occurring in a way, where people

or still try to grasp what's going on. There

just seems to be a lot of confusion. It's, you

know, people think it's just a virus or people

misunderstanding what's going on. So I was waiting

for that like moment where you see like a newscast

and it's just like giving you the exposition

of what's going on across the world. And it didn't

happen necessarily a bad thing, but it reminded

me of the strain in that way though, where it

was hard to tell if like, is it... The world

completely gone crazy or is it just in pockets?

You kind of like you feel like after seeing these

gigantic riots and things happening that That's

going to spread but then you go to this other

section. Everything seems hunky -dory So that

seemed a little inconsistent to me. But yeah

overall I do I do like the characters at least

for the most part I guess the walking dead love

the actors from the wire because there's always

like one or two actors from the wire that show

up the one that this one is a The daughter's

boyfriend. He was in the wire for a little bit.

I do agree the second episode picked up I'm curious

to where it's gonna go like how they're gonna

develop this and how it's gonna differentiate

itself from the normal walking dead What I did

think was kind of cool though is that since these

zombies are fresher? It's they're so much harder

to kill so it makes it Yeah, it does kind of

wrapping up the tension because right now they

like poke at zombie in the head and then explodes

Yeah, and this one like the he's like nailing

the guy in the head with a fire extinguisher

and not even putting a dent in it Yeah, I like

the consistency though. It was well thought out

The only thing that kind of bothers me with walking

dead is Even this isn't a regular show. I feel

like they know two speeds and it's like either

nothing happens or everything happens Yeah, and

it's and that gets irritating at times where

it's like either like everything's happening

at once or like they're pacing is always a little

bit off. So I think that's why the first episode

was a little bit of a letdown. I think it's better

than season one of The Walking Dead, though the

pilot of The Walking Dead was great and the rest

of the season was OK. I think this one is actually

getting better. So hopefully that that continues.

Like I agree with you about the inconsistencies

with like being being on a large scale in Fear

of the Walking Dead, like. You know, I think

it was in the second episode they come home and

like somebody across the streets having a birthday

party and stuff and it's like It seems like everything's

totally fine and stuff Meanwhile downtown like

all hell's breaking loose and but I mean, I guess

that kind of makes sense in a way But I too was

hoping that they would show things on a much

broader scale Like what was happening, but I

guess they're kind of hanging their hat on those

like personal relationships So they're gonna

stick with like one you know one family that's

that's kind of their formula that's you know

worked so far so they're just sticking with that

but yeah i was kind of hoping also for something

to something more to tie the two shows in in

more of a solid way i guess i mean i kind of

thought would be cool to show like uh you know

maybe rick's wife um talking to this lady like

it's like her sister or something that lives

in la You know, like just a brief thing, like,

you know, happens to be talking on the phone

or something, just for like a brief thing, just

to kind of tie things together. Maybe that's

just me, you know, being corny, but. Yeah, I

don't know if I would like that, because I feel

like that then you are waiting for them to connect.

I kind of like how they they're separate right

now, letting it establish itself first. And maybe

you can get those connections later in some ways,

maybe with some of the other characters or something

like that. but yeah i mean i wouldn't be against

it i think eventually if this catches on and

you have the walking dead that you'll have to

have some sort of loss crossover i would assume

yeah well that's why i figured like maybe rick's

wife because she's already dead so it's you know

you wouldn't have to worry about them meeting

up anything so but yeah i don't know there's

there's a lot of cool there was a lot of uh shock

value in the pilot like you mentioned of the

original walking dead but this pilot had some

really freaky things in and of itself, too. Like,

you know, obviously the opening in the church

and everything, like there was some really freaky

visuals there and stuff. And then the part with

the at the end, really, with the, you know, the

gunshots on the freeway, like that really sent

a chill up my spine because you kind of know

like it's it's all getting started now. Yeah.

And the one scene with the the truck and the

The Reds of Horror, I guess. Oh, the spillway

thing for the river, the Elliott River or whatever.

Yeah, that was kind of nasty. I was going to

wonder, how does that happen? That's such a hard

thing to do in a zombie movie. It's like, when

do people make that turn and are willing to kill

these people? What's going to drive them to do

it? Right, what convinces them? Yeah, I think

I think they've kind of answered that question

pretty well because it it got to the point where

like I think They'd be possible for them not

to recognize that no this this is not normal.

This is kind of weird. Yeah Yeah, he got run

over and he's still trying to eat me. So yeah,

let's just go ahead and take them out Yeah, yeah,

but then it's like that happens and then But

the next day there's another person who looks

who's acting just like that guy and you still

trying to help them you're like Come on now,

stop it. I know that's kind of part of the thing,

but you know, but it's how it goes. If you've

heard the hate, give it a try. Don't go in thinking

you're going to see quality of The Walking Dead

Season 4. You know, I think it's making its waves.

I think it'll get better, hopefully. It's green.

Yeah, yeah. I would still give it a recommend,

a mild recommend, but I'll keep watching it.

And there's many shows that I've stopped watching

it. right after the first or second episode.

So there's that benefit like Gotham. But we do

want to touch upon a little bit of a story. And

I'm not going to go in great detail because some

of us don't want to get spoiled. But there was

some news, two news stories with Chachan real

quick. The first one was regarding Civil War.

And the teams were announced. We won't go over

them here today, but I'll put the article in

the show notes so you can check them out yourself.

I don't think they're all too surprising. You

can kind of see where the conflicts are going

to lie. But I think one thing that's kind of

interesting that is being teased with the Civil

War now is with General Thunderbolt Ross coming

back is that possibly there's rumors that maybe

the Red Hulk shows up and Tony Stark maybe ends

up creating that or something of that nature.

guys be in favor of seeing the Red Hulk appear

in in the Civil War movie coming up next year?

I would be against it to be honest I think they're

gonna have so much going on already and they

you know they already have something like 11

heroes and like four villains or something so

I just think it would be too much and it would

be too much to try to explain you know we'd be

getting into like a four -hour movie so I agree

with Chuck there because if you think about like

the older superhero movies they they started

to like pile on characters and pile on characters

they pile on sidekicks for the heroes and sidekicks

for the villains or extra villains in there and

so we'd have like five villains and two heroes

and it just gets to be too much so yeah I agree

with Chuck Agree cuz I'm not a fan of the Red

Hulk. I think he's kind of a dumb character.

Yeah, I agree Well, maybe I don't think I've

ever wanted to like rip a comic in half more

so when I read I think it was Hulk and They had

the Hulk punch the watcher in the face and I'm

like, yeah Yeah, screw you Jeff Loeb in your

stupidity. Yeah, so even when yeah, or even when

like Red Hulk defeated Green Hulk like no Green's

so much better than red. Come on. What I actually,

what I actually would rather see is if they brought

Abomination back. Yeah. I mean, he's, you know,

after the Incredible Hulk movie that everyone

kind of forgot about, I think they made a reference

in one of the little shorts that exclusives that

come out on the blu -rays and stuff that Blonsky,

you know, he's locked away in some facility up

in Alaska or some place like that. And, uh, you

know, they never really referenced him other

than that. I kind of like to see him. Go back

to him. Maybe I think he would be a an interesting

little minion that they could use this kind of

a chess piece or something Greg have you I know

Chuck hasn't checked out the teams, but have

you seen the teams at all? No, I haven't just

don't really have a desire to see what's going

on with that yet I will say though like looking

at the split does seem like it's a One side's

far more overpowered than the other side. So

I kind of figured that would be the case. Yeah

But that's kind of that's kind of consistent

with the comic because I felt like the Civil

War comic it most of the people that were Anti

-registration were more street level and then

the pro -registration were all the people that

like, you know, you had you will not technically

Thor but you had Ragnarok Yeah, Ragnarok and

Mr. Fantastic and stuff like that. So I don't

know if this is a spoiler for you guys, but it

does seem, at least based upon these images,

that none of the Netflix characters or characters

from the Netflix shows are going to be in Civil

War. Does that bum you out at all? I guess not

too much because I know we talked a while back

about how hard it would be to kind of mesh those

into the MCU like it's a totally different tone

at least between like Daredevil and Avengers

but it would be kind of cool just to see a little

cameo but as far as like a big part I just don't

think it would work. The next little story is

funny, it's kind of interesting, but there's

been a little tease regarding season four of

The Arrow, and Greg, have you finished season

three yet? Season three, I'm trying to figure

out what season I'm on. No, season three's not

on Netflix yet, so it'd be season two that you're

finished. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So, well, season

four, so that's a whole two seasons ahead of

you. There is some rumors, you know, how great

rumors are, but there was a tweet went out by

one of the show. creators regarding the upcoming

season four and the image was of course of Green

Arrow standing next to none other than Green

Lantern, teasing that maybe, just maybe, he might

show up in the next season of Arrow. I know Greg

you're a little bit behind but do you think you

could see a character like Green Arrow fitting

into the Arrow series? Yeah, it's kind of an

alien power that Green Lantern has. And so far,

we've mostly seen street level science slightly

into science fiction with the Flash where I'm

at, at least at this point, and maybe a little

bit mystical, too. But I'm not sure if there's

something that happens in that third season where

they really start to kick it out a little bit

more. But it's kind of a big leap from where

I am to see to hear that Green Lantern might

be involved coming in down the road here. I think

they have some transitioning to do and other

stuff to get done first before they bring it

in. Would say like with season 3 since I have

a little crossover with the flash you do see

some superpowers But yeah, you're looking at

where it started and where that would be that

would be a huge transition. So And great Chuck

you are our relative Arrow expert so or arrow

fan So, how do you feel about Green Lantern possibly

showing up in the series? I kind of mixed feelings.

I mean, I feel like it's right now. It's just

more of a teaser Say no, I think it was Mark

Guggenheim tweeted the it was like a postcard

for Coast City or whatever you know, which is

where how Jordan's from and that was kind of

the That was kind of the teaser thing, you know,

and he used like part of the Green Lantern oath

I think he said it was like a brightest day and

blackest night come to Coast City if your wallet

is light or something like that and It's just

corny, but I kind of got the impression that

it was more of a just like a nod to the fans

like a uh easter egg type of thing but i mean

i wouldn't rule it out honestly because um the

direction they're going with um the legends of

tomorrow show like it's definitely getting a

lot more i don't know what word you would say

but it's getting definitely it's expanding more

and uh I know they said they wanted to keep Arrow

a little more light this season and not quite

so serious because they had a lot of success

with Flash and with their fun -natured joking

and everything and even with the special effects

and superpowers they had a lot of success with

that so they're not afraid as much to go there

now but tackling someone like Green Lantern is

very very difficult and I mean I'm pretty pretty

big Green Lantern fan and I'm not sure, I'm not

sure how that would work. I mean, maybe a quick,

like one episode thing with them and, you know,

maybe like Hal Jordan, but not Green Lantern,

I could see possibly, but I don't know. It would,

it would be tough. I feel like, uh, you know,

with flash, yeah, there's special effects, but

I think with like speed, it's a little easier

to get, get across and there's, there's a lot

of low tech. Tricks you can use to make speed

work on a television show like without just computer

graphics Green Lantern is going to be all computer

graphics and seeing that on a tv budget I don't

know. I don't know. I see how firestorm is when

he's just using fire and that works Okay, but

trying to see I mean it didn't look all that

great in the movie now trying to doing in a tv

show Who knows? I don't know. I maybe that they'll

have like either how jordan or john stewart show

up as a character But maybe not a green lantern

per se. Yeah I wouldn't, like you said, be against

it, but I just wonder if the technology's there

for it to work effectively, and I'm not sure

if it is. Maybe if it was just an episode for

a short while. I do like the fact that Arrow

is going to go more the lighter side, and the

fact that this is even a possibility I think

is a good thing, and that they're at least joking

this way. It could be a whole lot of nothing,

because that's possible, of course, but, you

know. we can dream we can dream so they both

have green in their name so that's kind of how

it goes and maybe they would do uh you know the

classic uh hard traveling heroes uh type of story

where they tackled some very uh important issues

back in the day that's true that's true though

you think about it though it's like green arrow

and Green Lantern fighting the same character.

It doesn't seem like it they their power levels

are nearly the same level. So yeah Yeah, I you

know, I get the same thing with like Hawkeye

and the Hulk though. So right Yeah, I guess you

can make it work. You're gonna kind of just suspend

disbelief Green Lantern's like uses more of those

arrows with with boxing gloves on them. Yeah

Green Lantern's like yeah, you can just you can

go out on a date with Felicity. I got this I

just I just stopped all crime in your city like

with my ring so took you like three three years

to stop like a few guys you know you know who

filled your city you did yeah yeah because you're

slow as balls very nice very nice but yeah so

as we mentioned up front we're gonna actually

you think it will see if we get enough negative

reaction Maybe won't go this direction, but we're

thinking keep it short and sweet and you know

get out before we overstay our welcome But anything
