Talking in Circles
Playing Either Or, Discussing Big Hero 6 and Comics

About this Episode
Hey, this is Steve Bloom, and you are listening
to the Geekcast Radio Network. You are now on
the inside of what I like to call the Circle
of Trust. We are all connected in a great circle
of life. You know something Bert? I think you
and I are going in circles. It feels like we're
going in circles. The circuit is now complete.
When I left you, I was but the learner. Now I
am the master. Because it's a circle. Yeah, we
heard about the circle. Yes, we're familiar with
shapes. Hi, this is Chuck. This is Greg. And
this is Dan, and we are... Talking in circles
brought to you by the geek cast radio network
the podcast is appreciating that you chose us
Rather than another podcast because we know there's
a lot of choices out there And we will actually
be having our own Choices to choose from in our
second segment when we play a brand new game
And we'll get to that in just a moment, but before
we get to all the fun. How's the week been going
for you guys? That's you bad actually I was able
to take advantage of some recent DVD sales. There's
a store near me in a mall that's actually going
out of business to FYE store. And they're having
some huge inventory sales to try to clear out
some of their stuff. So I was able to get some
pretty cool movies for like 40 percent off. Plus,
they sell used ones. So used ones are already
cheap and it was like 40 percent off of them.
So I ended up getting like some Old Stallone
movies and a couple of diehard movies for like
two dollars and stuff nice, but which diehards
cuz that's the question cuz there's a well I
Had I had already had the original diehard and
diehard with a vengeance So I got number two
just to fill in that gap. Yeah Understandable
it's understandable. Yeah, you know and then
I got the latest one a good day to diehard Have
you seen that one yet? No, you might return it
Even if the store is closed, Chuck will show
up, knocking on the door. Let me in, I don't
want this moving. I heard it was better than
the Live Free or Die Hard, so I don't know, we'll
see. Yeah, I guess it depends. I would say it's
probably more die -hardish than the Live Free,
Die Hard. I kind of have a soft spot for Live
Free or Die Hard. I know other people don't like
it, but I enjoy it. Greg, how's things going
with you? Fine boring. I don't know. I don't
do much guys But I'm gonna keep that i'm gonna
kind of get quiet for this next part because
I don't want to reveal it to my parents So I
don't want to say it too loud. I'm thinking about
you're pregnant. Yes, i'm pregnant uh I am here.
I am pregnant with uh, uh a pork butt aka pork
shoulder that I cooked from this weekend Uh,
no, i'm i'm thinking of getting a tattoo you
guys Wow Yeah of what? of just It's it's just
like kind of a little bit of a modified but very
recognizable x -men symbol, but I'm not gonna
get it I'm gonna get it like underneath my arm
kind of like Little bit above my armpit on my
arm Interesting. So so the x -men X or is it
like a different symbol? It's it's an x -men
X. Yeah nice I can I can never get a tattoo.
I just changed my mind about things too often.
I'd be like halfway through it'd be like, you
know what? No, I'm good Oh, wait, you can't you
can't go back can't you can't you know, he just
erased it. I'd like it down a little farther
Like I'll go over to the removable place and
get it lasered off and come back in a couple
hours. Or maybe if he starts doing the circle,
you have him change it five times, it ends up
looking like the Olympic rings. But there's supposedly,
we were supposed to do something today called
Today I Learned, but we changed that. But today
I learned that there's actually a cream that
has you have to go through FDA approval, but
there's like a cream that supposedly does a pretty
good job of removing tattoos now. Yes, it's called
acid It's called white paint and it just goes
over yeah, that was bad I apologize. I'm just
waiting till we get like digital tattoos, you
know, like like somehow that that'll be a thing
soon I'm sure where it kind of highlights your
skin from underneath where you just get like
a little Tablet thing implanted underneath your
skin Exactly exactly your iPhone in your shoulder
or your arm or you know the after you do like
the I I walk or the Apple watch What else is
there left? You got to like get like a palm?
Literally like turn your palm into like a phone
or something trademark Chuck Dan and Greg. Yes,
exactly. So my wife's been kind of Busy, but
like uneventfully busy with the baby and everything
and actually for a letter today. I will I have
kind of a Jesus. For our letter today, I have
something in reference to that. Jesus for the
letter? I do. We have a special guest. Hey, Zeus.
But my wife hasn't been able to do a lot of things
she normally does, which is what we do, or we
do together, which tends to be grocery shopping.
So I've been kind of doing that solo. And the
other day, I went to Giant near in our neighborhood.
And when we do grocery shopping, we use something,
you scan it, which is kind of like when you do
the register the wedding registry you go around
and you scan items and you put it in your bag
so when you get up to the cashier everything's
bagged already you just scan it and pay we i
get up to the the register which is the self
-serve one so there's no one else there and it's
supposed to work where you scan it and your order
company put your number in for whatever your
like key card is and then you get your order
comes up and you pay And so I do that. I scan
it, put my number in. It's like, oh, it does
not recognize it. I'm like, OK, weird. And I
do it again. It does not recognize it. Do it
again. It does not recognize it. Then I realize
I'm putting the number in the wrong location.
I'm putting it in the lookup item ID number for
if I'm looking up fruit. So I'm like, oh, I'm
screwing that up. So I go put it in the right
place. The scan again says does not recognize
my number and I'm looking at my scan thing that
has my number on it And it's like that's the
right number so I keep doing it over and over
again Literally, I was probably there for like
seven minutes. It's not working So I give up
going to the next aisle next to it, which is
again self -serve and I scan it It works and
I'm trying to do it cuz I'm like frustrated at
this point But then as I'm trying to go through
everything I hit the Spanish button And so every
command now is in Spanish everything she's saying
is in Spanish all the words are in Spanish And
I'm like crap it wasn't hard enough you had to
up the difficulty level to hardest Exactly, and
the thing is it accepted my number now, so my
orders I could see my order But I don't know
how to pay because it's like you know we hit
the button to pay I don't know I was looking
for something like that. I'm like I don't I think
I'm thinking this one is it and it didn't do
it. I'm like I'm like Crap, so i'm like stuck
and it's talking really loudly in spanish. I
don't want it saying and i'm like, you know People
are like kind of looking at me weird. I'm like,
I don't we just try to america here americanese
here in in america It's like he's the weirdest
looking Mexican guy I've ever seen in my life
But it wasn't it was it was just crazy and when
it's I couldn't like I kept trying to turn the
sound off and I turned it off and Be gone for
a second, but then they come back on even louder.
I'm like, I feel like this is a game show I'm
on and I'm losing so it eventually got I got
it taken care of but it was just like The most
frustrating thing. I'm like, I just wanna this
is why we do this together and she handles this
part I can't even do grocery shopping, but it
was you know, it was kind of crazy But but yeah,
that's pretty much it. That's my week. It's been
a lot of that diaper changing feeding going to
work so Which is rather uneventful. So it's good
when I come down you could change my diaper then
yeah No, no That's that's mental image is never
never getting out of my head But luckily though
the kind of one thing I have been doing because
of a lot of late -night feedings I've been reading
a lot of comics while you know, I'm waiting for
him to fall asleep and I I want to say I heard
about this comic and I finally ended up getting
it and I'm really glad I did I don't have you
guys heard of the fadeout at all by any chance
I have seen it in comic book stores. The cover
is very intriguing I know it's by Ed Brubaker
and he usually does some pretty good stuff, but
I have not picked it up Yeah, you're right it
is Image book, of course, because I do like everything
now. And it's by Ed Brubaker and drawn by Sean
Phillips, who apparently have done a lot. I feel
like I'm really ignorant because they've done
a lot together and I've never read any of their
stuff together. But this is kind of like the
perfect swarm of comic books for me. It has like
a little bit of everything I love, starting with
Ed Brubaker, who wrote one of my all time favorite
arcs when he was on Captain America. It's a noir
crime story, which is, again, one of my favorite
genres, taking place right after World War one
so like right in the late 40s or early 50s and
it's taking place in like old classic Hollywood
it's taking all this all during Los Angeles or
starts all in Los Angeles involving the Hollywood
system which is something I have a lot of interest
in so there's like all these little pieces of
things I like so starting off I say this book
has a lot going for it for me in the art and
I'm glad to say it ended up falling through and
it made me really happy to read another uh fantastic
edward break your story and the kind of like
the setup of it unlike hit which we you know
we talked with brice carlson uh a few months
ago which was again a noir story that takes place
in los angeles that's very much like a crime
action cop drama book and this in in the fade
out it's very much it's drama heavy there's not
much action it's drama mystery it's not kind
of like that it's not like you know gangster
squad it's more like the the The big sleep or
something like that. That's not really you're
not getting shootouts. You're not getting car
chases It's pretty much mystery and drama that
are the focal point, but it's post -war war two
American prosperity is on the brink of happening
like the American dream is really becoming its
own thing But you also have the red scare and
this is picking up not long after good number
of Hollywood members were Blacklisted due to
possible connections to communism. So a lot of
like Writers art directors actors actresses were
basically, you know kicked out of Hollywood Because
of the fear of the Red Scare and thinking that
they had connections to some Russia and other
communist parties But what's kind of intriguing
too about this time is like if you go back to
the 50s during that time in Hollywood There is
really there is this idea that the Hollywood
at the time was very, you know morally Pure in
a lot of ways like people like Bob Hope Clark
Gable these guys who like you know, like the
typical You know good old -fashioned American
man, but in a lot of ways There's a lot of corruption
and a lot of you know, drug drug sex alcohol
lot of numbers were done What was that rock and
roll? a lot of rock and roll probably a lot of
the stuff going on and a lot of the seedy underbelly
and this is kind of what the fade -out gets into
it opens up with possible murder slash suicide
of an up -and -coming actress you really don't
know which which it's going to be in our the
main character is this guy charlie parish who
is a screenwriter who is you know a meekish man
like he's self -deprecating is kind of in himself
full of secrets as well and he kind of gets involved
in this murder slash possible suicide and what's
interesting about his character he's not really
a hero he's not really out to like save out for
justice he's kind of just in a way just trying
to save himself and that's kind of the case with
all these characters and that's the best thing
about the book it has an endless amount of really
multi -layered complicated characters and oddly
enough the thing that kind of came to mind reading
this was Game of Thrones In that where there's
not a lot of straight Hill heroes or villains
just people who are in a really kind of more
really corrupt system trying to get by and try
to like Basically make it work and that's kind
of what this is like I would almost kind of recommend
it for people who aren't in the comics but are
really into movies like if you're someone who
has never really read a comic before like the
Phaedon is actually a good thing to kind of pick
up because it's not like your typical comic it's
very drama heavy but in very mostly character
driven and you're not in i was kind of intrigued
the entire time though it's it's brilliantly
written these characters are developed well its
mystery is uh complicated but not not convoluted
and it just kept my interest throughout i've
read the first volume which is about four four
uh issues this There's fifth and sixth issue
the fifth and sixth issue are also out. I have
not read those yet I have picked them up though
and looking forward to pick it up But I would
highly recommend it's one of the one of the better
things I read in a while I'll preface by saying
it's probably not for everyone if you're more
in the superheroes and that type of comic more
You know your action -packed high -paced type
of stuff This may not be for you. But if you
like the first issue, you'll you'll it only gets
better from there. So But yeah, I don't know
if you guys have any interest in that at all
or Sounds pretty cool. I know I did enjoy the
hit comics that we read from boom studio. I enjoyed
them great deal This you said was like somewhat
similar in a way. It's similar time period I
would say style lies and like tone and actually
execution is a lot different. Okay. It's yeah
it take something like Gangster squad and like
LA confidential and like how they're kind of
different. I would say it's more like that and
it's more I'm thinking of I don't know if you
ever saw a movie called Hollywood land it reminds
me of that movie kind of methodically paced I
would say but but in a good way so that could
that could turn some heads but I would say let
you borrow it but I bought it digitally so the
bad thing about I could lend you my iPad maybe
that's all right no but that sounds uh sounds
pretty cool though especially for people that
are into movies and stuff maybe I could recommend
it some of the people that I talk to Trying to
get them into comics, get their foot in the door.
Exactly. I think it's a good, what do they call
it? A gateway drug to comics. Exactly. It's a
good gateway drug in the comics. It'll get you
sucked in. Chuck, I know you talked about that
you bought a lot of movies. Did you get to watch
any of the ones that you ended up purchasing
or did you just buy? Well, I just ended up buying
them like last night. I didn't get to watch them,
but I watched some other stuff. One thing that
I wanted to talk about was a movie that I'm pretty
sure Greg saw. I'm not sure if you saw it, Dan,
but that's Big Hero 6. Yes, I did see Big Hero
6. I brought it from a coworker he recommended
to me that I would enjoy it. And obviously Marvel's
first animated movie that was theatrically released,
but although they don't really market it that
way, and it's certainly not part of the MCU,
which is... Kind of a good thing though And it's
interesting too because like the actual comic
is nothing like the the movie and apparently
there are some bad blood between Disney animation
and Marvel when it came to it, so I think that
one a lot long ways of why Why it didn't really
get the Promotion from Marvel as other yeah.
Yeah, they didn't put their their special Midas
touch on the marketing aspect of it, but It was
still I thought a great movie. It was really,
really cool little movie. I was extremely skeptical
at first thinking, you know, this is like a corny
kids movie that I'm really not going to be able
to connect with. You know, I never really watched
a whole lot of animated animated movies at all.
Like there's actually like a ton of famous animated
movies that I've never seen, like never seen
Toy Story. Oh my god, I started again. I've never
seen cars and all those other ones. You can miss
that one. But I was actually pretty surprised.
I enjoyed this quite a bit. And for some reason,
the story just pulled me in right from the beginning.
And despite the cheesy, heartwarming aspect of
the boy becoming emotionally attached to a robot,
it held my attention rather well. animation was
great of course like it usually is with their
stuff but uh the voice acting was fantastic uh
the villain was cool i liked him i liked the
team aspect uh how they all work together sort
of a good i guess a good example for kids in
that way but um i was really impressed with how
like how they had a lot of original ideas in
this like for some of the like technology -based
powers for all the people on the team like they
had some really cool ideas for that stuff and
Like the girl with the magnetic discs and stuff
that goes on the bicycle and everything like
they took things that they used in their experiments
in their lab and stuff and they made like Suits
out of them and gave themselves powers. I thought
that was really like original idea was pretty
cool But um, yeah, I enjoyed it a lot. I don't
know what else to say about it, but Yeah, Beta
Max is quite the cool character. Yeah, he was
quite funny And I like the little trick that
they did of when he was like low on battery kind
of sounded like he was drunk. Yeah Apparently
I read something that like The one of the creators
involved with the movie said like this takes
place in like an alternate future within like
San Francisco where A lot of Japanese -Americans
settled in San Francisco and they renamed the
city San Fransokyo according to this guy. There's
a lot of American -Japanese architecture mixed
together and a lot of buildings and everything
like that. All their buildings are earthquake
-proof for lack of a better term, but stuff I
didn't really pick up on watching the movie,
but I read that about it afterwards. It was pretty
fascinating. I do think it's funny that they
said alternate future as in like not the actual
future because We know what that's gonna be.
This is the ultimate. Yeah Yeah, we can't you
know invent a white plump robot that wears armor
Yeah, I agree I would definitely recommend recommend
victory. Oh six is a good fun I also have a lot
of the pops from that movie That surprises me
I don't have the Baymax ones, which I'm kind
of sad about Really of all the ones I have hero.
I have Freddie. I have wasabi I have lemongrass
and I've got a go -go, but I don't have Baymax
Bucking the trend. Well, these ones were on sale.
I got them for extra cheap Give it some time
sometime. I'm sure like once like the Baymax
crazy kind of dissipates i'm sure there'll be
a lot of it'll be like when there's like tons
of parts in some dolls like four years after
that's stopping a thing and you can get them
at the dollar store or they're on the moon if
you go based off Futurama yeah the giant garbage
pile in the moon all righty but greg i know uh
you also were reading a comic if i'm not no not
a comic it was an actual book yeah again with
the books we got a comic we got a uh movie and
then greg trying to throw the intellectual card
at us once again with a book is this one you
actually would recommend or is it one that you
didn't like like last um it was it was actually
uh pretty decent it wasn't as as good as i thought
it was going to be i got it for a daily deal
so it was good for the the price that i got it
for i'm not sure if i would really recommend
it to our listeners It was I thought it was gonna
be more Harry Potter esque with being a paper
magician And we kind of go in following this
girl. I don't know how the hell to say her name.
It's like co n Why or something's Yoni or something?
Connie I don't know why Well, no, it's not like
co n and ie or just the y at the end. It's like
ceo So it's it's it's it's only it's Frank. It's
Frank. Okay, we'll go Frank. So we follow this
young girl Frank and She is has been learning
magic through this Magical school and she's really
smart and brilliant And she could choose between
all these different types of magic. There's like
paper magic metal metalwork magic glass magic
So it's anything that's kind of made by man.
There's a magical system behind it. Usually they
get to choose, but she doesn't get to choose
because there's not enough people practicing
paper magic. So unfortunately for her, she gets
stuck with paper magic. She throws a big fit
because she wanted to play with metal magic.
But she's under an apprenticeship to this gentleman
who does paper magic. and so they kind of show
her developing with him and she kind of starts
to like it like she shows her how to take a story
and kind of project it with her mind by reading
it with an inflection because it's written on
paper and it kind of does like a little visual
of it out in the open for everybody to see and
folding it and stuff because they're called folders
would they play with the paper and you could
do different stuff like make little birds origami
birds fly and everything so he's teaching her
that and she's becoming more and more impressed
with him and you could tell that right off the
bat that she's she's kind of fallen for this
guy but then all of a sudden there's like an
attack at his house and a girl comes in and rips
out his heart and goes away with it and so this
girl it's it's both um it's it's completely obvious
and later on the apprentice kind of has to get
like is stuck in his heart uh sort of and so
she's like discovering him and his heart and
so she's falling in love with them kind of thing
it was very noticeable metaphors throughout and
it didn't deal super a lot with the magic but
more This more of this metaphor than anything
of her falling in love and I found that kind
of weird Like why do we always have to have somebody
following like a young? Female student falling
in love with their professor or something. It
seems like a big trope nowadays that I feel like
we can really Do without at this point probably
because a lot of writers are also professors.
So they're like Yeah falls in love with this
professor But there was one good thing that I
liked about it was the fact that it was the woman
saving the man instead of the trope that we usually
get of the prince or king saving a princess or
something like that so i thought that was that
aspect of it was kind of cool and i did find
the the magic interesting but i just wish they
kind of went into it a little bit more and played
around with that more and had more magical things
like he had uh the professor dude had um a servant
and it was a giant paper skeleton that served
him and everything and he made this little dog
out of paper for and he goes around and he acts
like an actual dog. And so I thought that was
a lot of fun and there was a nice little relationship
between the little dog and her and she kind of
falling in love with him with the dog and falling
in love with paper. There's a lot of love going
on except for this professor's ex -wife coming
in and stealing his heart back and whatever.
It was thick on the metaphor though. Would you
say that the plot was paper thin? A little bit,
yeah. It was a heavy poundage paper, though.
Good. How many Dunder Mifflin references were
there? None. Zero. Because it took place in the
early 1900s. I mean, Dunder Mifflin's been around,
I guess maybe, I don't know. Gotta research that
when I go to dundermifflin .com. Dwight may have
known these people. Oh, man. I'm sure if they
make it into movie, it will be starring Wayne
Wilson because he's got his other show is probably
gonna get cancelled. So why not? But yeah, so
anything else before we take a quick break? Negative.
Oh, there was something I was gonna talk about.
Oh, we did on Memorial Day. Actually, I got mail,
which she think is odd, but it was a very good
mail. We have got our tickets for Baltimore Comic
Con. Oh, yay. Wow, that was fast. You're right.
Wow. Nice. I don't know why there was a two -day
rush on it, but we got them. So we'll be back
and better into that again. That's exciting.
I'm looking forward to Baltimore Comic -Con.
So that's it. Me as well. Oh, yes. The creator
Comic -Con. It is. It is. Which is great because
last time we went, we ended up... Leading to
a few interviews for a podcast. Hopefully we
can do that more I haven't checked the guest
list but uh, I know brice colson said he didn't
think he'd be there this year unfortunately,
but you know We can we can meet new people. It's
possible. All right meeting new people is hard
dan Yeah, especially especially at a comic convention
because a lot of those people have no social
skills whatsoever And they smell hey as long
as yeah as long as they smell good. I'd be up
for meeting anybody Just keep the little like
uh Stinky seventh graders away from me. Plus
it's like everyone has a podcast. So it's kind
of weird to like Everyone's going up. Can you
a bumper for me in my podcast? So it's like I
don't want to be that guy but then I am Yeah,
it's like nowadays. It's like I have a podcast
like so Like five years ago mom stop telling
me I don't care Alright, so we're gonna take
a quick break and when we come back We are gonna
be doing a brand new game, which is kind of very
much like an old game, but it's new name I guess
it's a reboot of an old game. We'll find out.
I don't know what I'm talking about anymore We're
just gonna take a quick break and we'll be back
in one short bit. So we'll see you It's Showtime
synergy the latest review podcast from the geek
cast radio network is here So join TFG one Mike
Nicole hailstorm and myself lady rec as we will
be reviewing all 65 episodes of John the holograms
in a 25 episode long podcast You can find Showtime
synergy on iTunes and geek cast radio comm we
are the truly outrageous podcast that you want
to be listening to Welcome back today. We're
gonna play a game called either or and as I was
creating this game and doing it I kind of realized
it's basically just rehash of would you rather
a little bit differently, but it doesn't matter
It's gonna be called either or and we're gonna
lick it and you're gonna you're gonna listen
to it It's gonna be good time. I'm not turning
the car around now. We get we're already going
it's happening but the basic premise of it is
I will be saying a statement like would you Would
you either have a hot dog or a hamburger and
something as generic as that but a little bit
more fun? Hamburger. Yeah, I'd go hamburger too.
I don't care for hot dogs. If you're gonna give
me a hot dog, give me like a brat or something,
not just a hot dog. It's just kind of, I'd rather
a hamburger. It's more filling, get juicier,
I like a beef flavor. And if I'm gonna have it,
I'm gonna have it from Five Guys if I'm around
here. Or if I'm on the West Coast, Ho Dads. I
mean, I think though like like the perfect place
for a hot dog if you had a ball game I mean,
it just feels right. Well, I'm I'm out because
I don't watch much baseball. I'd fall asleep
The first question Welcome to hamburger hot dog
podcast So speaking of that, why do we get started
with the first one and I thought I would start
with one that's kind of be interesting because
we were talking about comics a little while ago
and I always had this question in mind and I
was curious to hear what you guys had to say.
Would you either read a comic that had a good
story and bad art or a comic with a bad story
and good art? Chuck is first. Go ahead Chuck.
Oh I'm first? Yeah because I don't feel like
going first because I don't know how to answer
that. It's tough, but I think I would I would
rather Yeah, there we go again saying that It's
tough, but I think I would choose to Read a good
story with bad art Which me which probably surprises
Greg because he knows I'm picky about my art.
Oh, I think we're all picky about our art though
Yeah, but I've like I've read a story with good
art and a you know, bad story, which I think
was the Avengers Assemble story by Bendis. Of
course it's by Bendis. The art was great. I even
forget who the artist was right now, which is
terrible, but the story was like so simplistic.
It felt like it was like a fourth grade reading
level or something. It was just a total turnoff
because I'm like, well, I could just go look
at a poster. You know, like, I mean, at least
with Some something with a good story or like
captivated all the way through and you can kind
of overlook the art a little bit because you're
so like entranced in the story What about you
Greg? I guess I'm gonna agree with Chuck is you
get you're never gonna get to too bad of an art
But story could definitely be boring or definitely
but the arts never too bad at least they can
at least portray the story through the artwork
a little bit better I'm just rambling now. I'm
sorry. Chuck convinced me with the whole Bendis
thing. You need a good story, because even Francis
Wendell U did not make Secret Invasion any better
for me. It just left me totally depressed, even
though I love Wendell U's artwork. I know you
don't, Chuck, but I think his artwork is amazing.
And so, yeah, it definitely needs the story there.
Yeah, it's tough because the one thing that actually
came in mind reading this with this question
was It's kind of a random connection, but it
was the blade reboot series I came out and not
reboot but it was series came out like I'd say
like 2009 ish and Like you had like some really
good stories to it But the art was just awful
like all the faces looked exactly the same and
I can't think of the artist on top of my head
now John Romita jr. No, it wasn't Thanks for
a laugh Chuck You're one of the few that understands
my utter disdain for that man's artwork. Yeah,
because I used to like his artwork, then you
told me that, and I looked at it, and after a
time I'm like, yeah, it's just not doing anything
for me anymore. And Chuck is right, all of his
faces look the same. They all have this weird,
blocky, like, weird stubby nose situation going
on. There's certain stories by him I think are
really... That I really think it's artworks.
Well, like Wolverine state of the Union or is
it? State of the enemy of the state enemy the
state which I thought Yes, exactly. I'm part
of that might be because Wolverine has a mask
on the entire time That is a good that is a good
story though. I did enjoy that story though Yeah,
so I I don't know like I've read good stories
with really bad art and really hard to get through
since comics are really good visual medium as
a compound is a It is I think it does sometimes
depend on the artist like I think it's someone
like of um, I mean guy who did marbles and oh
alex ross like someone like alex ross His art
is just so picture -ex to look at and you almost
don't need anything to follow it You don't need
a story. It says a lot in itself and there's
you know, some of those comics that are done
that uh You know, they do it. It's kind of a
gimmick, but they've done them without any words.
It's only pictures So it's possible those are
hit or miss. Yeah. Yeah, exactly. That's very
true. Some of them are really bad and but I Agree,
I guess it depends like to me if it's one issue.
I'd probably go with good art a bad story, but
if I'm reading a lot, I'd rather have the good
story. Speaking of someone who read X -Force
in the 90s with Rob Liefeld, you know, I can
kind of forgive art if, I don't know, you know,
if I enjoy the characters enough. Though reading
the X -Force comics now, if I went back and like
read a few, I don't know why I liked them so
much as a kid. Just because they had guns maybe?
I don't know. I think it was the whole cable
situation. Yeah. You must have been a fan of
like having 19 pouches on your belt and stuff.
I do like cargo shorts, so I don't know if that
played a part in it. I do too. I totally get
that. Yeah. My wife hates when I wear cargo shorts.
She's like, you look ridiculous. You put a lot
of stuff in your pockets. I'm like exactly. That's
the point of cargo shorts. It's the best invention
ever. Put stuff in your pockets. It's great because
I hate stuff on my side pockets, but with I mean
with my like front pockets, but the side anyways.
Cargo short tangent did not expect that to happen
today Okay, so this next one is a little bit
different it's a choice between either Only being
able to watch your favorite movie meaning that
if you're gonna watch a movie it has to be your
favorite movie no matter what so you can never
watch a new movie ever again or Never being able
to watch your favorite movie ever again, so you
can watch new movies, but you can never watch
your favorite movie so I don't know if that made
sense at all. Yeah it did. To us it did at least.
Greg which one would you choose? Would you rather
only watch your favorite movie for the rest of
time or never being able to watch your favorite
movie forever? I collect a lot of movies here.
I've kind of stopped lately with Netflix because
I keep just binge watching new stuff and new
stuff and new stuff and every once in a while
I'll go back I go to Fifth Element a lot. I've
gone back to Pacific Rim already. I've gone to
Guardians already. I've done Big Hero 6. I've
repeated a bunch of stuff over again, so this
is a tough one for me. I think I could always
go new stuff, because you need that little bit.
of Discovery for the first time that kind of
like back in the day Star Wars feel when you've
watched it for the first time Like you to not
ever get that again. I feel like would take a
good thing out of out of life You know what I
mean? Definitely, so I would definitely go with
new stuff and not go back to the old stuff because
at least I could have that in my memory if I
can't Because I've pretty much got a lot of fifth
element down in my head, but I still love going
back to that one. I'm guessing there's certain
parts of fifth element you really have in your
head. Yeah. What about you, Charlie? I don't
want one position. I want all positions. I think
I would rather never see my favorite movie again.
I don't actually know what my favorite movie
is but I have a good idea of like I know we did
our top five list way back when and obviously
like the ones that are already always there for
me like Top Gun, Rocky IV, Avengers, Tombstone
all those kind of I've seen them so much like
I kind of know them by heart anyway and you know
like Craig said you need that uh That new sense
of wonder every time you watch something and
you know You're gonna see things that remind
you of your favorite movies and kind of remind
you of why you like certain movies and why you
don't so that's I guess sort of a a journey of
Self -discovery if you will that you can go on
with new movies. That sounds really corny, but
that's my answer It's a corny question with a
corny answer. It's fine But yeah, I'm the same
way because I honestly I very rarely rewatch
movies. It doesn't Like sometimes maybe which
is weird because you have so many you could open
up you can restart blockbuster again by yourself
I know which is why i've kind of gone to the
come to the google museum i've kind of stopped
collecting them because i'm like I don't really
Watch them that much and i've been moving more
towards digital like even streaming or just buying
them digitally because it's easier to access
so Yeah, and with there there's so much out there
now and i'd rather I guess like I feel weird
like watching something again when I'm like there's
so much stuff good stuff I have not yet I have
yet to see so usually if are we watching something
it's because like hey the Avengers is coming
out so I'm gonna watch all the Marvel's movies
or something like that or I want to show someone
a movie I really like but and then have them
not pay attention and to say they don't like
it my wife and be like well of course you didn't
like it because you're watching your phone the
entire time it's sort of subject with me but
whatever you know But yeah, so I I'll make it
through for the I'd rather be able to never watch
my favorite movie again Which I know what it
is. It's networked though. It's changed over
the years as well Perdemic By the way, we need
to watch the room for this year when we go to
Baltimore con when we're down at your place to
definitely definitely All right. Next one's kind
of hard. This one's hard to choose from and it's
probably a fear of a lot of us but if you had
the choice between either Going throughout your
day knowing you forgot to wear deodorant or going
throughout your day knowing you forgot to brush
your teeth. Which one would you choose? I feel
like I could, it would be easier. to mask the
smell of your breath than it is to mask the smell
of your B .O. There's like no containing the
B .O. But if you if you don't brush your teeth,
at least you can keep your mouth closed the whole
day or you can eat something that maybe will
make it change it up or you can have gum or something.
But once you have that whole deodorant mess like.
You're screwed. You're gonna smell like Bo and
I don't want to be the prototypical comic book
nerd at the convention So you go with not brushing
your teeth what about you Chuck? I would go the
same. I think I could always just not talk to
anyone all day And just be like oh my tooth hurts,
you know or something. Yeah, but I've done the
deodorant thing by accident like not many but
not many times but Once or twice it's happened
and it's like scares the shit out of me. I Am
very paranoid about like a I don't move all day
cuz I'm like That's why I keep an extra deodorant
at my desk at all times just in case smart I
I keep one in my in my truck at all times, too
I did that once but then during the summer it
melted and that was a mistake. So it got yeah
My car kind of smell nice for a little bit, but
yeah, yeah, but i'd actually i'm gonna go different
with you guys i'm gonna go with uh i'd rather
go with the up degree owner and and brush my
teeth I guess because If I go without brushing
my teeth, my mouth just feels weird for the entire
day. And I feel like even if like I chew gum
or get a mint, it's still like I have really
bad breath and I spend a lot of my day talking
to people. Like if there's B .O. and there's
a group of people, you can kind of like sometimes
it's hard to tell the person. But if you know
exactly who has bad breath, if you're talking,
it's like immediately you can when they open
their mouth. So. It especially someone who's
like coffee breath or smoke breath, you know,
it's just like oh Yeah, coffee breath is bad.
Yeah, it takes it takes you back for a little
bit But you made me think of the the dvd place
that I mentioned earlier in the episode that
I was at Yeah, there was a guy in there And i'm
telling you I was at least eight feet away from
him. I was totally looking at something else
This guy stunk so bad a swamp ass Like it was
he was like man thing and just terrible swamp
ass smell. Oh my gosh I had to move I had to
walk away to the side of the store And then I
was like looking over my shoulder of him, like,
where is he? Where is he? He's coming closer,
like, I gotta stay away. If you want someone
to walk by you and think that's you, it's like,
no, it's not me. Exactly. It's like... Yeah,
you're like next to the guy, like a pretty girl
walks by, you're like, no, really, it's not,
I swear. I swear, Vanessa, it's not mine. But
I also have a story, but on the opposite end
of Bad Breath, when I used to work at the grocery
store, I got in trouble with one of my supervisors
and she pulled me into this like little training
room that we have, which isn't very big. It's
like enough to fit a computer in and everything.
And she got right in my face and started screaming.
my eyes immediately started to swell up with
tears. It may have looked like I was crying because
she was yelling at me, but her breath just reeked
so bad and the entire room just smelled of it.
This tiny room just filled up with the odor of
her breath. It was one of the worst times I've
ever gotten yelled at, and it wasn't because
of the yelling. What did you do to get her angry?
Did you try to give her a mince or something?
No, I was at Easy Scan and I didn't want to be
on Easy Scan. I was never trained for Easy Scan
and I just didn't want to be there that day.
And so a guy goes, hey, how's it going? Terrible.
Oh, what's wrong? I'm like, I don't want to be
on this stupid machine because they never trained
me for it. He goes, that bad, huh? I'm like,
yep, I'd rather be dead. And so I got pulled
into the office for that because you're not supposed
to be angry in front of the customers and blah
blah blah Kind of it's like I'd rather kill.
Yeah, that's yeah, I could see I mean the the
bad breath is bad. Yeah Alright next one would
you you have a choice between either? being able
to ride in the DeLorean with the ability to go
through time or The Batmobile and I'll go with
the Batmobile if you're choosing since there's
like a trillion of them Chop what would you choose?
Definitely the DeLorean really even though the
Batmobile is like the most iconic car ever Nah,
I just I would love to like be able to go through
time I don't know like if you took away the time
element if it was just a ride in one of them.
Yeah, I'd probably go Batmobile, but Just the
fact of like trying to get up to 88 miles per
hour and then just vanishing That would be incredible.
And then conversely, when you reappear and just
look at everyone's faces when your car comes
out of nowhere, that would be awesome. Greg,
you picking DeLorean or you going Patmobile?
Yeah, I'm definitely going with Chuck here, especially
after reading, what's his name? Shit. Uh, uh,
he did mark miller or millar, however you say
his name, uh, chrono mouth definitely Makes you
want to travel through time. So I've got to read
that. I've heard good things Yes, it is. It is
really good actually Yeah, it's kind of tough
because the batmobile if it was is a really cool
car I mean, I love the 1989 version of the batmobile.
It's pretty iconic. It's batman, you know, but
the delorean can also fly It had the doors open
sideways. I mean, come on sideways door So I
guess like some of the batmobiles have doors
like that too. I guess depending on what the
Lambo doors. Yeah But yeah, I gotta I gotta go
with DeLorean too I mean, there's not many things
that can be Batman but being able to travel through
time is definitely one of them So kind of kind
of more of a again like a choice here between
some positive, you know, we did the whole bad
breath and deodorant thing which kind of would
suck, but this is a good thing. Would you, again,
go with, would you rather, you have a choice
between either going to the beach of your choosing
for a week or going to the city of your choosing
for a week. Which one would you choose? I'm more
of a beach person. I'm not a fan of the crowded
streets, the smells. I'd rather go to a nice
private beach or something like that. Do you
have a beach that you would have in mind? I've
never really actually gone to many beaches so
people shout out your favorite beaches in the
comments. I've heard good things about Greece
and of course, like, you know, Atlantic City.
Wait, no, it's not. Um, I don't know. Antarctica?
Lake Stanton? That is a pretty good beach, right?
Yeah, just don't drive into it is all. Yeah,
exactly. Chuck, what about you? I go to the beach,
I think. I never really got to go to the beach
as a kid. And within the last few years, I've
been able to go to a couple of them. And I just
like, I never knew you could like fall in love
with a place. but apparently you can because
like Certain like there's certain places I go
and like beach is one of them like just the smell
of the ocean and Like everything is just so cool
there There's like tons of stuff to do with boardwalk
and everything and I don't know city life never
really impressed me that much with anything I
do like seeing sights and stuff like that, but
I gotta go at the beach. See I gotta go city
I'm not like I like the beach for like a day
or two But after that, I'm kind of like, all
right, I'm good. I could go do something else.
But I know for like a city, I would love to go
to people, go to Boston or... Boston is really
nice. That is, if you're going to go to a city,
that's the best city to go to. Yeah. Or even
like, I'd love to go to Austin, Texas, especially
for like SF Sketch Fest or stuff like that. You
don't want to do that right now. Why not right
now? Sorry. A heart out to all the people in
Texas that are flooded. That's awful. Was it
Houston? I thought it was Houston that was flooded.
I don't know, but Texas is a crappy state right
now with water. Yeah, yeah. And then California
has no water, so yeah. Oh, they should ship it
over. Exactly. But I'd love to go to Portland.
I mean, there's a lot of great cities I would
love to go to. So and I think there's for me
personally, I'd. I feel like I would get bored
quicker with the beach. I've gotten to the beach.
I like going to the beach. It's a great time.
I went to Miami. I thought that was great. I
even like Ocean City, Maryland. Though I feel
like Ocean City, Maryland, like it started decorating
and like designing everything in like 1995 and
then just stopped and then didn't advance beyond
that. And that city is completely, its entire
economy is based upon sunglasses, t -shirts and
mini golf it's like that's it like that's the
three main exports of uh ocean city maryland
but i mean then you have those cities which are
a little bit of both right like miami is a city
and and uh at great beach so yeah you got like
san diego i love going to san diego i would love
to go to baltimore i wish i knew someone that
lived there me too me too it probably can get
really cheap because the one's coming to baltimore
this year i don't know why i don't know what
happens How about this one? If you have the choice
between either watching your most hated team
Lose in heartbreaking fashion in the in the championship
game Super Bowl what -have -you I'm assuming
that's the one you'd go with watching watching
them lose in such heartbreaking fashion or Seeing
them not go to the playoffs at all with which
which one would you choose? No playoffs at all.
I don't want the Patriots to do a damn thing
And Greg's a Vikings fan, I guess I don't know
who else the Vikings Rivals would be but I mean,
it's it's easier. They hate the Patriots Green
Bay Detroit Yeah, I don't mind Green Bay at all.
I'm fine with Green Bay. They're good guys, you
know Yeah. What about you, Chuck? I mean, I'd
rather them not even make the playoffs at all,
I think. I go with watching them lose in heartbreaking
fashion because as a Giants fan, the team I go
to are the Eagles, the team I hate. I love watching
them just continue to choke. It's a beautiful
thing to witness. It happens so often, like all
the time, usually in the championship game, occasionally
in the Super Bowl. But there's just something
special about that, you know, like it's like,
oh, you went all that way and it was for nothing.
and you ended up losing. And I think it's just
it's like extra sweet. I mean, yeah, it's great
to see them not lose at all. But then you have
if you get those rivals that just are losers
and don't it's like the Browns, right? The Browns
are basically pointless. It's kind of good to
have a team to hate. So I that's why I think
heartbreaking fashions is a good choice, especially,
you know, I love watching Patriots lose in heartbreaking
fashion because it's usually against the Giants.
So that's true. I'm all for it. Always get nervous
though like it gets stressed out like if it's
really gonna happen or if are they gonna pull
out the win? I'm gonna be really annoyed Yeah,
that's true. But I think I'd rather have that
than just like say a game where I have no connection
to whatsoever ends up being like a really huge
blowout picking up like the The bronco seattle
game like like I had like no steak. I won't see
paint one But it didn't really matter to me.
So but like the game this year I was rooting
hard against the patriots and uh, so I don't
know I added though Seeking the seahawks one.
It's not much better. But yeah All right, how
about this one if you had the choice between
either never having to sleep again Or never having
to go to the bathroom again, which one would
you choose? I like pooping. You know what I mean?
It's very satisfying when you cut off the turd.
You answer that question like immediately. There's
no hesitation whatsoever. You just line cut me.
I like to poop. I also really like to sleep.
So I think this is kind of obvious that I would
just... What was that outside? What was the question
again? I just like I like to sleep and I like
to poop I would rather not have to sleep again
or not Again with which rather choice between
either never having to sleep again or never having
to go to the bathroom Okay, so this is actually
hard then I don't I don't feel like I sleep a
lot to begin with so I guess I'll get rid of
sleep now Because poop just takes up a lot of
time too. And sometimes there's a bad poop I
spend a like good half an hour in there first
set Yeah So I'll go without the poops what about
you check This is a thing right now This is the
one we what the more the most thought Greg's
put into this so far it was with the pooping
in the sleeping Put some rather good thought
into other know you did you did? I would only
rephrase that the most like the quick reaction.
It was just I like pooping. I mean, I feel like
that's not the first time you said that today
Maybe this year. It's not the first time I've
said it but I uh, I think If I could still function
well I would give up the sleep because it just
takes up so much time your life Obviously like
a third of your life And I would have more time
to watch movies and read comics and stuff. So
yeah, I It's tough because I do agree like sleeping
probably takes up more time but There's such
a like involved aspect of pooping It's like so
much goes into that like you can get all messy
and like, yeah I mean if you don't have to do
that then you don't need to like, you know, don't
need toilets anymore It's going along car rides
and not you know, you need a bed day down You
can uh, I love one Uh, too, uh, you can like
eat mexican food with no fear. I mean imagine
that imagine that Uh, like no fear No fear whatsoever.
I already do, though. And then regret it immediately
later. It's like, oh, that was. But Mexican food
doesn't bother me for some reason. So good. We
need to go Chipotle. The old cast iron anus,
I guess. But yes, I think I'd rather and I do
like sleeping. I do enjoy it. You know, dreams
are a good time and I don't know, a good nap.
If you find the ability to nap like it's so hard
to do, but like a good day nap, like on the weekend.
Man, it's just you just feel good. You just feel
good so much so much so that you end up just
going back to sleep anyways, but But yeah, so
i'd go i'm gonna go with i'd rather keep the
ability to sleep Maybe we'll we'll make this
the last one and this one i'm I was questioning
about doing we'll see how it goes and feel free
to say neither for this one if you would like
but If you had a choice, would you either? choose
between reliving your high school years or reliving
your years in college? College. Why is that?
Because he likes pooping. Well, in college, you're
a little bit more matched down to peers that
you would get along with. In high school, I got
picked on a lot, of course. I just didn't like
there was a lot of different personalities that
you had like you were grouped off into People
that had similar interests. It was a little you
had a gamut of of people in there that with different
likes and dislikes and so you'd bought heads
a lot and My high school years were just scary
for me going to school and everything. I felt
much more popular in college. There was a lot
more people that I got along with in college.
I've met you guys in my college years, so I would
rather relive college over again. Plus, my classes
were kind of fun in college. I played on the
computer and made stuff. How about you, Chuck?
I would definitely relive my high school years
in a heartbeat. I did not like college at all.
Maybe it was just the experience that I had,
but you know, I kind of went away. I didn't really
know anyone there. Kind of had trouble connecting
with people down there. I didn't make too many
friends. I think I met like four people that
I liked down there. Which I went to Penn State,
by the way, state college. But yeah, I don't
know. I mean, high school was, I pretty much
got along with everyone in high school and everything
was, everything was really good in my life at
that time. I think afterwards I had some harrowing
experiences and some things with ex crazy girlfriends
and, you know, a lot of, a lot of weird stuff
that happened in my, in my life too. So I think
high school, I would definitely go. Yeah, it's
kind of tough for me because I kind of want to,
I'm thinking college because I had fun in both.
I liked high school. I did, there was a lot of
people that I did not, was not a big fan of that
I had to deal with in high school on a daily
basis. Though I did like, you know, played sports.
I enjoyed doing that and I had a lot of friends.
I wasn't like... I mean, Chuck and I went to
a really small high school like graduation class
of like 80 people, most of which we went to school
with since we were like in third grade or kindergarten.
So it was, you know, it's a different dynamic
for sure. But I don't know, I had a lot of fun
in college and I had more freedom. And I met
Greg and still got to hang out with Chuck, so
considering college led to this podcast, I guess
maybe I'll go with college. I, unlike Chuck,
stayed home and was a commuter, so maybe that's
a part of that as well. Commuters! Oddly enough,
I don't really stay connected to anyone in high
school or college besides you guys, so there
you go. and a few other people. I don't really
either, so. Me as well. I probably connected
with more people from podcasting than actual,
like, you know, high school. Though I'm friends
with them on Facebook, if that counts, I don't
know. But yeah, so that's it for the would you
either game, I guess you would say, because basically
what it was, you know, would you either. But
before we go, we like to end each episode with
a letter. And I kind of tease this to begin with,
and I was going to do this last week, but...
And that was I wrote a journal basically quote
-unquote journal some of the stuff is fabricated
per se But it was basically the the first day
in the life of being a dad for the first time
for a week. So See how this goes May 5th 2015
16 15 p .m Well after a long night of waiting
Connor has entered the world and finally we have
a baby that does not look like all other babies
You're welcome, America. I had to leave him the
nursery where I'm sure he'll get all the numbers
from all the female babies hanging out there
as well. This actually happened, by the way.
8 15 p .m. I've only been a father for two hours
and I've already almost been arrested. While
trying to bring our baby from our nursery down
to our room, I frightened the security guard
who did not see the nurse who was accompanying
me. Assuming I was trying to steal a baby, she
flung open the security doors to stop my baby
burglary. Luckily once the doors open she realized
her mistake and then to turn the table and try
to sell some oils truly that she handmade I turned
her down and now I feel like I've opened myself
up for rest once again But that actually really
happened. I was taking Connor down to the stairs
and I had a little cart thing that was pushing
him on her him in and she didn't see the nurse
and she like the doors flung open and it was
just like she was like going after me but stopped
halfway through when she saw there was a nurse
because she thought i was trying to steal a baby
so see you got a baby there don't mind me just
stealing my own baby it's interesting too because
all babies have like little blowjack things on
their ankles so you can't like take them out
without getting noticed They're instantly on
house arrest as soon as they're born. Exactly,
exactly. Weird way to start your life. But he
literally had your name on him. I should have
did like Dwight Shute says and like make a mark
so that way I know it's mine. 9 45 p .m. Trying
to determine what movie should be Connors first.
Right now it's a toss -up between Aladdin or
Goodfellas. My worry is that it will scar him
from life as it will set two HIVA standards for
other movies to match up to. Yeah, Aladdin's
pretty violent. I'd keep away from that. It is
pretty violent. 11 .30 p .m. Apparently, although
Connor is only hours old, he can stay up later
than I can. On the bright side, I've watched
The Tonight Show during its normal schedule of
time for the first time in years. 2 .45 a .m.
Currently, I am up to eight times reciting the
beginning of Lion King with Connor. Once I learn
the words of Circle of Life, this will only get
better. Circle! Circle of life and I'm not denying
that I keep doing that and my wife is like you
can you can stop that any day 4 30 a .m. I have
not really slept in the last 48 hours I can no
longer see color and beginning to forget where
my hands are located 6 25 a .m. I've changed
my third diaper this time without being peed
on wait wait no here here it comes I'm getting
to accept it now You gotta you gotta flip a diaper
over the top of his wee -wee so it deflects off
It deflects off that and doesn't go into your
face The issue is when you open it and it's right
there. It's like immediate You're like we I feel
like you're you're doing it on purpose now Well,
you still gotta hover over the top of it with
another diaper and take that one off and so Indiana
Jones it from Raiders of the Lost Ark, you know,
yes Exactly. Yeah, it's gonna take a pressure
release valve 745 a .m. Carol's told me to cut
it out with the Lion King stuff. So now instead
every time I go to hold Connor I train on my
inner Mel Gibson from ransom and shout Give me
back my son 746 a .m. I've been told I can no
longer do that Well 856 a .m. I'm beginning to
wonder why when Connor burps and farts he gets
a good boy, but when I'm do it I'm ostracized
This is ageism in its worst way 10 15 a .m. Trying
to figure out a way to make it possible for my
son not to know that the Star Wars prequels exist.
My worst fear is that he will like them more
because the special effects are newer or worse
yet like Jar Jar. I shudder at the thought. 11
38 a .m. I've begun to subtly whisper daddy in
his ear every time I get the chance in hopes
it's crafting his first word. See I do that with
girls I go Don't correlate these two things Greg
nuts, that's I don't want that mention 245 p
.m. Have begun to notice that when babies sleep
their mouths look like fish caught in the wind
Oh 30 p .m. Beginning to get excited by the fact
that I can play with toys again and not look
in And look like a good father rather than a
creepy guy who have social issues 6 15 p .m.
Made it through day one of being a dad It's every
amazing thing people said it would be and more
happiness means much so much more to me than
it did before Also, glad that it will be nothing
but smooth sailing from this moment on the hard
work is finally over end of day one I promise
that's the last like letter and baby stuff. Yeah,
I'm I promise that's the last time I'm gonna
cheap do some cheap baby stuff So I don't know
maybe it won't be got it. You got it like, you
know do it like when Sitcoms bring in like the
new kid because like they're the old kids like
old now, you know Olsen's points are like teenagers.
We got to bring in some new kids You know, yeah,
every every time you reach a little milestone,
you got to play the you are so beautiful song,
you know, get everybody teary eyed and everything.
Yeah. Yeah. After every little thing, you know,
show some flashback pictures. This was eight
hours ago. It's been so long, but. But anyways,
what we love to do is we love to interact with
our listeners and there's a lot of ways you can
do that with us. You can email us at feedback
at geekcastredo .com or talkingincircles at live
.com. We're on Facebook and Twitter, just search
talkingincircles, G -C -R -N. You guys are also
on Twitter. What are your Twitter names? I am
at heroicagechuck. I am at the Create Forge.
And I am at Movie Revolve. But the best way to
get in contact with us is probably by going to
geecastradio .com or nerdly .co .uk and we can
communicate with you all there. And also got
to welcome anyone who's listening on Fog Talk
Radio, which is now a new location for you to
listen to our podcast. So great to see that.
And hopefully it'll be a great partnership. Yeah.
Feel like official and stuff so there's tons
of different websites to listen to our show It's
the same show in each website, but you know if
you want to diversify. It's a way to do it but
Anyways that'll be it for this week. We'll be
back next week same time same chin same podcast
feed but for now This has been Chuck This has
been Greg, or thine Greg, who likes to poops.
And this has been Dan, and we've been talking
in circles. We'll see you next week. I remember
in like first grade, we had this kid, he would
like, the bathroom was right across the hall
from the classroom, and he would go in there
and stand at the standing urinal thing and just
completely drop his pants to his ankles. Just
stand there bare -ass. When I was at Rice Chopper,
there was a guy there that did that. Chuck was
developmentally appropriate for the time. What
are you gonna keep bringing it up for? Sorry,
oh that was you? yourself? Oh, sorry, I was on
mute. I was like, why aren't you responding to
my laughter? And I was on mute. Yeah, I'm gonna
have one for myself. Guess what, everybody? And
then I was just gonna flash my junk. I have a
cupcake. I just feel like we need to have a party
for like everything nowadays or like some sort
of like card or celebration. I'm like... Pizza
party. Like it hit a head when I had to sign
a card for someone's who their pet cat died.
I'm like, I don't wanna, this is really simple.
What? Yeah. I was like, we got a cat, we got
a card because their cat died. I'm like, that's,
yeah. I would have been like, got a card because
their cat died? Yeah, like a, like a sympathy
card. And they had a sympathy card just for pets.
It was like, I'm like, you gotta be kidding me.
So. I would have went to sign it and be like,
oh, it's a shame, my pen's out of ink. I guess
I'll have to pass on this one. My pen's out of
ink. I need a pen sympathy card. I'm so sorry
for your loss. It was the best pad you've ever
owned. It didn't smear you up too easily when
you rode over the top of something. It's in the
Penn Cemetery. This is going to the bloopers,
right? Yeah, probably. I'm thinking I'm putting
that at the end.
