Hi, this is Christy Marx, creator of Gem and

the Holograms, and you're listening to a truly

outrageous podcast with Mike Aimee and Nicole.

It's showtime, Synergy. Because it was awful.

Do it again. Say it again. I haven't recorded

it. You want to record this? Because it was awful.

Because it was awful. It was. It was truly, truly

un -outrageous. There you go. That's the intro

to the beginning of the show. Because it was

awful. It was awful! I'm just waiting now. I'm

just waiting now. I'm sure there's gonna be something

else that pops out. Never mind. I was gonna make

a bad Janet Jackson joke, but okay. Wow, that

was my next thought too. Popping out now. That's

kind of scary. I'm popping out. Oh my god. I

gotta let it show. It's a wardrobe malfunction.

I really could take off my bra right now. It's

very comfortable. On that note, welcome to Showtime

Synergy. Showtime synergy the gym review podcast

here on the geek cast your radio network. I am

am Cuz a couple episodes ago and Nicole thought

I called myself Amy, which I didn't joining me

are my hologram girls Amy aka lady wreck. Hello

and Nicole Beatles the Hillstorm. Hello. I am

NOT a hologram. I'm a missus Technically you're

both stingers at this point and I'm riot I mean,

because the Misfits essentially have faded away.

You know, they've essentially turned into Ninja

Turtles. They've faded away. They've struck hard

and faded away without a trace. Eric Raymond

is nowhere to be found anymore. He must have

got driven off a cliff or something. A tech rat.

A tech rat. Poor tech rat. Poor tech rat. we

read. So ladies and gentlemen this is episode

22 of Showtime Synergy. This is the final episode

where we will be reviewing the cartoon episodes.

I posted on Facebook I think well as of this

recording it would be a few weeks prior to this

but Had posted on Facebook. I was going through

some of my old files and whatever else cuz I

wanted to see how long we've actually been Producing

the show not how long the show's actually aired

Because I know that the show is actually aired

all the way through this year. We started in

January With episode zero and then we skipped

to March or May or something like that But I

wanted to look through the actual recorded files

to see We've been recording a lot longer than

that. No, we have. Yeah. September 9th of 2014

is when we recorded. That makes sense. Let me

see here. So let's see. According to the old

files I've saved, Amy, Nicole, and I recorded

Showtime Synergy episode one, Tuesday, September

9th, 2014. So we've been doing the podcast all

together for about a year and two months or so.

Yeah, because Amy still had the bun in the oven

then. Yeah. Just be careful he doesn't turn into

a scavenger or a scrapper. Oh, he definitely

will. He's got... He's got the other brothers.

One of those guys, yeah. He's gonna have to fight

for his right to party. He doesn't tell me you

never expect the Beastie Boys. You should. You

should, but you never will. Oh, come on. Weren't

they an 80s band? Yes, they were. I'm not saying

anything's bad about it. Good Lord. And it's

so funny. Nicole posted today that we're recording

this kind of final episode as far as the cartoons

go. and I Commented on the episode on her post

basically saying Yeah, I'm sure Amy shaking in

her boots with whatever big next project. I can

think the three of us to do So all right, we're

gonna get into it two episodes the final two

episodes of the series riots riots Hope and a

father should be we'll be back after this The

mess! We ought to send over the big guns and

clean up that place once and for all! Now, dear,

you said you were gonna relax today. How's a

man supposed to relax when the whole world's

falling apart? Is this a private rampage or can

anyone join in? Rory! What in blazes are you

doing here? I, uh, brought a present for you.

Oh, having you here again is present enough for

me. Here, open it. What is it? It's our first

album hold on You think you could just come waltzing

back in here after five years and expect us to

welcome you back with open arms I thought you'd

be pleased that I'd made a success of myself

a success you call this success Prancing around

it in front of strangers and making this this

trash look that was a gift for mom Who needs

your gifts? Please don't fight stay out of this

mildred You're not welcome here, ever. It just

upsets your mother and I won't have it. I can

see you haven't changed. Goodbye, Mother. Rory!

Sweetheart, please don't just let him. You're

better off without him. But don't you understand?

He's your son, too. He's... Oh. Mildred! success

with us they wanted to gloat you mean if you

ask me you've still got a thing for riot oh nonsense

kimber he's he's a very talented musician that's

all thank you give him a kiss for me hi riot

hello aren't you happy to see me yes of course

Now if you'll excuse me Sure First up today is

Riot's Hope it aired February 22nd 1988 now I

have to confess a few things here first before

we get into this episode What did you say? Do

you get off that high horse, please? The issue

hasn't really come out well by the time by the

time this episode goes online that issue would

have come out, but yeah um you said you were

gonna cut fast oh yeah apparently uh i screwed

up on the air dates I never changed them in the

script so I'm sure when people listen to episode

1920 and 21 they're like yeah that's not right

I'm pretty sure people are gonna be like that

so anyway Riot's Hope it did air February 22nd

1988 Riot and his father don't get along can

they put their differences aside when Riot's

mother gets sick suddenly dun dun dun okay Wikipedia

you could have done a better job at a palosanopsis

than that Mean cuz you know you go down you look

at Bonnie's a father should be and I mean that

that's like crazy on that one. Yeah But So, okay

the songs are take it or leave it It's a hard

hard life and let me be all by the stingers This

is one of two episodes of this series that have

no gem in the hologram songs We know you hate

Jim. No, I don't we'll get that next week, but

I've been listening to the songs preparing for

next week, you know And it's just like I really

like the stinger sound and I like their music

and it's just like So when they had this episode

when it was all three just all three of their

songs like I kind of like this I do not hate

Jim I just like the other bands better. I don't

remember the other episode. I'll have to go back

and look. It was... Crap. The one with Laura.

Oh, that's... No, there were gem songs in that.

Oh, wait. Crap. Anyway. I even looked it up just

recently and I was like, okay. Can't even remember

now. While she's looking that up, Amy, thoughts

on the plot here? Um, okay. I have, all right,

well first off, first off before we go too far,

I wanted to do a little update because in the

past we talked about Roger Slifer and I don't

remember if we ever did cover whether or not

we talked about his passing. I think we did.

Yeah, we did. I wasn't sure if we did or not.

I think there was an episode where I put a thing

in the beginning about it or something. But yeah,

Roger Schleifer wrote Riots of Hope. Yeah, and

he also wrote one of the other ones that I really

liked too. I can't remember. I think it was called

Father's Day, which I also had a really good

reaction to it as well. I mean, it's like he

writes all the emotional ones that I'm like,

ah, this one I have. I mean, he wrote other ones

too that I really liked. There are a few that

I had like an emotional reaction to, and this

one I kind of did. Yeah, this one was emotionally

hard for me to watch. You know, the biggest problem

is that, you know, Riot has this overbearing,

controlling father to the extreme. And every

season, I think every season the show seems to

have like at least one that is a really relatable

episode that deals with, you know, some really

big issues. And this is one of those episodes.

It was really emotionally hard for me because

like, I have a really controlling parent as well.

Not to this extreme, but like, you know, I love

my family. I love my parents, but I do have,

there are some really huge controlling issues

that are in there that have affected my life

because of it. So watching this one just kind

of like, Hey, you know, I, it was, it was, you

know, I can't get through this episode without

crying every single time. And it wasn't even

like that when I was a kid. So I was like, I

really like the episode, but it's a really hard

episode for me to watch. So I can really relate

to Riot and his feelings of depression and anxiety

and anger and frustration and all the range of

emotions that this episode had in it. But yeah,

I mean it was probably one of the reasons why

I really fell in love with Jim and the holograms

is because of my emotional reactions to the To

the episodes that they actually hit on these

really really important themes. So yeah, that's

okay Yeah, the episode was the gem jam part one,

which featured the two starlight girls So there

was no Jim and the holograms songs that which

ironically is the same song they used for the

last episode which we were talking about No,

I agree with you Amy and this this because We

talked about this gem in the holograms has some

of those episodes like that just Hits to the

core of your soul. You're just like wow. I can't

believe it a Cartoon could do this, you know,

and this is one of those episodes. You're just

like Because I I have I have a very loving father

that would just do anything so to see someone

that's so hard on their son because he has a

passion. It's just like, thank goodness my parents

are caring no matter what I did. They probably

don't understand my passions. They don't get

that I like Transformers so much. But they don't

keep you from doing that. Yeah, exactly. And

they're not passive aggressive and negative about

it behind your back and stuff like that. Especially

when you're young. so influential and vulnerable

and those memories when you're younger they're

seared into you when you're an adult you're easy

to forgive but you have those moments when you're

like a little kid you're just like wow wow so

yeah this this one really hit it was like oh

my gosh it's hard to believe this was only 22

minutes long because there's so much in it yeah

I agree This is one of those episodes that went

really fast, but it was You look back and you're

like, oh wow. Well, they had this this this yeah,

but It went fast but not because of how the story

was paced or anything or it wasn't wasn't a bad

thing But it went fast. They just kept because

it kept moving and moving and moving, you know

You're at you're at this point and you're at

this point and then oh my god Here's here's a

flashback and here's what happened and you know

You know whatever for me I Don't know I've always

had issues with my father because I come from

divorced parents and They divorced when I was

two years old, so I didn't really you know and

I was a I Still am kind of special needs, but

I was a special needs kid with being you know

born from a drunk doctor getting cerebral palsy

and having optic atrophy within the stigmatism

of my eyes, every time I hear a LASIK ad on the

radio, I'm like, yeah, that's not gonna help

because my eye damage is to the nerve and there's

no surgery any optometrist can give me to repair

nerve damage to the eye. With my cerebral palsy,

I'm not... It's a very mild case And you guys

have seen me, you know, I mean it's a very mild

case. The differences for me are it's Only affected

my right hand and right foot. They are smaller

than that. They're not fully developed. They're

not like it I'll put my My ice bucket challenge

video. I'll link that in this episode post so

people can see and tell the difference here,

but you know luckily my cerebral palsy didn't

affect my brain function that much and only it

basically had my brain stop sending signals to

the right side of my body to grow. Gotcha. So

it's not exactly full on cerebral palsy, but

it is a form of it. Um, and I remember as a kid,

you know, my mom fighting night and day trying

to figure out what they could do. I was in arm

and leg casts for God knows how long my young

life embraces and everything else. I mean, there

was a point where imagine this. Imagine if Two

-Face and Forrest Gump were combined to be one

person. No, no, no. Listen, listen to me. I'm

not, I'm not being rude. I'm not trying. I'm

saying take the disfigured part of two -face

and put Forrest Gump there Okay, so instead of

having two braces on my legs because my left

leg was fine. I always had braces We already

knew that That's obvious. No, no, no. I'm saying,

like, you look at young Forrest and he has braces

on both his legs, okay? I had a brace on one

of my legs and I had it on there for God knows

how long, for at least the first 10, maybe even

no, first 14 years of my life, I had arm and

leg braces. Gotcha. So, um... I was just kind

of saying that it was that kind of brace that

what Forrest had, it wasn't all metal or anything,

it was more... more, more plastic and whatever

else. But, um, but no, I mean, you know, riots,

where was I even going with this? I don't even

know. Oh, yeah. So, so my dad, um, while he was

there in the beginning, you know, I mean, he

always came to visit me. You know, we always

went out and played baseball and whatever else.

And I saw him, I think twice a week until about

1987, 1988, he got remarried in 88. They moved

here from Massachusetts here to Kentucky. obviously

didn't seem too much anymore and over the years

I've always been the one to have to call you

know I've always been the one to take the initiative

or to have to take the initiative and I mean

he never pushed me in a way to like My dad is

a mechanic. He's always been a mechanic He's

been a bus driver, but he's always been that

kind of hands -on You know my whole family whether

it's my dad's side of my mom's side. I remember

my mom's side more specifically than my dad's

side My mom's side my grandfather was a carpenter

all my uncles were a carpenter So I mean you

know we come from you know a family of laborers.

I guess it skipped a generation with me You know,

I mean, my dad's still, you know, a mechanic

to this day. So it's one of those things where

he never pushed me into that world. He never

really pushed me like Riot's father pushed him

to be in the military or to be like him or whatever

else. And I think because most of my life, my

dad had... I don't want to sit here and insult

the guy, but... Truth is truth, and he'll say

this he was kind of obviously an absentee father

for part of it You know He just was So you know

like like you guys said it's you know this episode

pretty much hits us all In the heart and in the

head pretty hard. Yeah Because we all have issues

with family. I think it's really good when you

have TV shows like this that that deal with some

of these things because I mean are I'm sure there

are a lot of kids not just you know a handful

of kids it's like no I mean because across America

you get you know broken homes and blended homes

and things like that. People can come from such

a variety of backgrounds. But the one good thing

I like about when they have shows that do things

like this is that it gives a child some validation

that they know that they're not alone, especially

if they're not exposed to a lot of other people

that might have backgrounds like this. And so

it gives them a voice. in a sense a safe way

to deal with those problems without actually

dealing with them in the present and dealing

them in their real life right now but it gives

them you know just just It's just something that

acknowledges that, hey, you're not the only one.

There are other kids out there that have things

like this. And hey, look, your favorite character

on TV has has this problem, too. And so now you

can relate to that person. And you can see, you

know, in this where riot in the end, it's like

he he pulled himself out a lot of crap, man.

My my opinion of that character has kind of greatly

changed. I know, isn't that crazy? You're just

like, oh, you arrogant jerk. And then it comes

to this episode, you're like, Oh, man. Yeah,

you can't hate him now. I can't hate the guy

because they're like, he's pulled himself out

of crap, man. But it gives, you know, it gives

a voice to a kid to see, hey, this this guy came

from this background and he did these amazing

things. And look what he does now. He's a he's

the top of the charts. Dude, I can do that, too.

If he can do it, I can do it. You know, it just

gives those. It just gives validation to a child

that and as an adult it does, you know, it's

kind of great to see that You know, I'm not the

only one either but you know, it's just one of

those things. Yeah, it's good. It's good. I like

it Because of that Amy is trying her best not

to break down and cry It is one of those those

those episodes you're just like Geez, because

you start thinking about your childhood and your

friends and how they might have grown up and

or even how your parents grew up and it's one

of those ones that sticks with you. That's for

sure. Yeah. Cry away. I don't care. I'm a girl.

I'm getting old. There's the crying and then

there's the other half where I get angry because

I'm like, why would you do that to kids? I don't

know. We'll get into that. We'll get into that.

Oh boy, any other thoughts on the plot ladies?

Oh no, we could go on forever. We could talk

about each minute for like five. Yeah, exactly.

This is a good episode, so yeah. Alright, let's

get to the hologram moments after this. That's

terrible. Yeah, I hated it from the day I enlisted.

I never could see what my father thought was

so great about it. I thought I was stuck there

forever. And then one day on leave, I discovered

this rock band called Nirvana. They were fantastic.

I went to see them whenever I had a pass. They

were doing exactly what I wanted to be doing

with my life. Then, one night before their first

set, there was a big blow -up. Okay! You're a

half -hour late. This is the last time. If you

can't be here when you're supposed to, then get

out! Hey, no problem. This band is going nowhere,

anywhere. But, Jerry, we can't perform without

a backup guitarist. I'll play. Hey, hold on there,

mate. What's a soldier boy know about music?

Listen, I'll show you. It is time for the hologram

moments. Man, the Stingerist party is a who's

who of the series. I caught Lena Learner. I caught

Lindsay. And I'm sure there were a bunch of others.

But the first two that I saw, obviously, were

Lena and Lindsay. The Misfits weren't invited.

What's up with that bullcrap? Yeah, I know. Pazazz

is, like, totally insanely obsessed with Riot.

Of course he'd love to have been there, right?

I like to think that she showed up when Jim and

Riot left the party, and they just totally crashed.

But that wasn't in the show, though. I know.

I just like to think that. Why is it that we

get such good background story for Riot and the

Stingers, honestly, is why we didn't get too

much background on Minx and Rapture, but we got

enough. Speaking of Rapture, she just kind of

joined. She just kind of joined, yeah. Why is

it we get this, like, when we're pretty much

at the end of the series? I don't know. That's

been my Misfits moments. It's so good. It just

boggles my mind. It's just... I don't know. And

I thought it was really nice to see how the stingers

got started. Yeah. And I really, I know... Jen's

gonna kill me, because I know she's a big Nirvana

fan. The 90s Nirvana, not the one that's in this

show. But I don't remember if they were around

before the 90s. I know they got big in the 90s.

I know that's when they kind of broke out. That's

what I have here, I was like, did Jim pick the

future again? I also put that in here too, that

I really like the fact that they had Nirvana

as a band in this. That was brilliant. They started,

okay, according to the wiki, grain of salt people

here, but apparently they start together as 87.

Which, if this, because this What did I say earlier?

Yeah, this aired February 22nd, 1988. So if,

like, I was really hoping that they were really

trying to make a reference to, and basically,

Nostra Dumbass, the whole Nirvana thing. Because

look at The Misfits. There's a band out there

called The Misfits. Not the ones that in the

TV show. I know. And so it's kind of like that

kind of a thing. Overall, I really dug this episode.

I thought this was a really good episode and

something that's kind of interesting here and

something I'm sure Nicole will absolutely love.

No Rio. Yay! at all not even like a reference

or anything. Gem didn't yeah Gem is into Riot.

This is I believe I could be wrong Gem fans please

correct me I know our super fan that I'll talk

about later Desiree on Facebook she gives us

little insights that will talk about actually

she she actually told us who the starlight girls

were from episode twenty i believe when we were

talking about that i forget where they were or

whatever uh... so we'll talk about that at the

end of this episode uh... but she uh... she's

been pointing out stuff to us on facebook on

the various posts when i post the episodes so

i'm sure she will correct me if i'm wrong on

this this is the only episode of the entire series

where it's all gem and Jerika's nowhere to be

found whatsoever from beginning to end. Except

it's at the very end when Jerika comes out. Okay,

well. And Bonnie says goodbye. Oh, no, that's

on Riot. No, that's next episode. Oh, okay. Riot's

Hope. I don't know. Yeah. In Riot's Hope, there's

no Jerika at all. It's Jim all the way through.

Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. I think. I think it is. Does

she change once maybe I get like the episodes

confuse that I don't think I think it stopped

Okay, yeah, so she was jammed through yeah I

thought that was really interesting that you

know you've got the woman that riots been lusting

after the whole season three basically being

a Compassionate girlfriend to him almost you

know You know, hey So but that's what I thought

was really cool about it was that it's Jim all

the way through and she never does change because

we never really see that ever because it's always

The entire show is based around the premise of

Jericho juggling the dual dual identity You know,

oh change here. Oh change there. Oh change here.

Oh, I think that she because in this episode

Jim is the supporting cast character right now

oh absolutely it's all it's it's all right right

yeah yeah so of course they're going to be using

probably gem as a supporting character because

gem is part of riot's life jerica pretty much

has nothing to do with riot so of course they're

going to be using gem focus well and riot doesn't

know that jerica is gem so yeah that it would

not make sense to even have jerica there because

um he's as it is he's basically Jerrica is part

of Rio's life and He's just trying to make sure

that Rio isn't trying to make gem part of his

life Nicole what did you like about right? So,

oh, let's see. Okay. I this is what has my first

I love the true raw motions that right showed

Finally a genuine character that he is he can

be because in all the other episodes you can

tell he's putting on that rock star persona Like

yeah, I'm good. I'm the it all man, you know

I really like that you get this new side of him

where it's This is truly him. This is who he

is. And he's made this other character to get

away from all this other stuff. I love his his

mom and his supportive music, her supportive

in doing his music. Like, again, Nirvana, let's

see. I like that we got to see stingers in some

other colors besides yellow and black. And then

the line. Right my son yeah, right Madonna's

my sister Did you guys see the video she did

At this point by the time this episode airs it

almost be a month ago, but recently Right after

the Paris attacks She almost canceled I'll have

to see if I can find it for you guys she almost

canceled the show But she did this whole long

monologue thing and one of her shows in Australia

I believe I could be I'll have to send you guys

the video about you know Her reaction to Paris

and then eventually it led into like a prayer

The Immaculate Collection is my favorite compilation

album ever. Oh, of course. It's got all her best

songs on it. Well, all her 80s best songs on

it. Yeah. 80s and 90s best songs. Anyway, what

else did you have, Nicole? Those are my hologram

moments, so. OK. Amy, have you composed yourself

enough now to gush about the episode? You know,

I can't actually. Nicole brings out a lot of

specific points, but I'm like. Thought just pretty

much the whole episode was one big hologram moment,

you know There's just too much to love on it

I mean, I thought you know, I I can't even begin

to to to put in here because almost everything

it's just The show has such a genuine authenticness

to it. I can't pick out one thing that's better

than the other. The whole episode is just one

big hologram moment. I got a question for you,

though. Did you kind of go, no! When he had to

cut his hair, he's like, no! Yeah. Yeah. He grew

back. He grew back. I actually had that moment.

It's like, oh no. Okay, let's move on to the

misfit moments if there are any. I haven't. Oh,

there's a few. There's a few. Oh boy. Here we

go. We'll be back after this. In that case, I'll

have to form my own band. Rapture soon joined

us, and we began making the rounds. But no one

was willing to give a new group a chance. That

first winter was a tough one. We were forced

to play in the streets to make enough money to

eat. But slowly, the crowds began to grow. Life

was hard, but we were determined to make it.

For the misfit moments, take it away, ladies,

because this episode was just too good for me

to write anything down. I didn't write a single

thing down. Oh, really? OK. Like, OK. OK, don't,

OK, I'll say this, and I kind of already said

this. Don't get me wrong. The way Riot's father

treats him and his, like, don't get me wrong.

I get that. I'm just saying, and you guys know

me by now. We've been doing this for a year or

so. My misfit moments normally are like the little

nitpicky things about the episode. Yeah, and

I have one that drove me nuts. I will tell you

right now. This is what the only thing is the

whole episode. I wish I could take out. OK, so

Jim disguises herself as a nurse, right? OK,

you're going as a nurse. You don't look like

a rock star and you especially don't wear high

heels as a nurse. OK, it's just like, oh, they

weren't paying attention. They weren't paying

attention. I know, but she just looked like a

nurse. They just like, oh, you know, whatever.

But she looks just like Jim with the bright pink

hair. The person that she was going to go see,

though, was like, you know, she she would have

noticed that she had high heels on. She was sick.

But I think what Nicole was referring to is that

the doctors that come out of the room, that she

just stands there. Yeah. I'm like, OK, she's

got these bright pink. Hair her makeup still

on and everything and she's walking with high

heels. I'm like no nurse would walk in high heels

true That's the only like ten seconds I would

take out of the whole Especially since they'd

already kicked a couple people out of there for

stressing out their patient to begin with. I

wouldn't take it out. I would have them rewrite

it or change it to where Synergy uses... Wait,

what? Synergy actually is like, oh, I screwed

up. I watched my soap operas and I just did this

minimal thing. These are the days of our lives.

They could have made her look like a, what was

it? One of those, that old lady or whatever.

They've done it. Synergy has done a better job

in the past. She was watching her, her stories.

She kind of crossed her wires that time. The

ending, I really want to see just a little bit

more when the family came together there at the

end. It kind of felt like it just. ended and

I understand it there's a time limit but I just

wanted that a little bit more of that moment

together. Yeah and and Jen putting the moves

on on Riot when he's grieving I'm like oh honey

don't be one of those people. She's not putting

the moves on. Oh come on she went for the kiss

and everything and he shut her down I'm like

Well, okay, yes, but for the most part in the

episode, she's being a supportive friend more

than anything else. Aw, I'd say it's more than

friendship. Oh, yeah. Here we go. I can only

imagine if Kelly ever introduces them into the

comic, what the hell that's gonna do. I think

it's gonna be awesome! Anyway, Amy, any misfit

moments? The biggest misfit moment I have to

see has got to be the dad's attitude. Yeah. He's

a controlling and blaming asshole, and he needs

a musical re -education. I know. I'm just like,

music is important. Where's your problem? It's

sissy stuff. It's like, really? Oh, I wanted

to go through the TV and slap him like, are you

serious? I mean, shut up. Yeah, I just want to

throttle him. And, you know, he has that attitude

with everybody, including people he doesn't even

know about. He's like, oh, well, you're just

sissy. You know, you don't know when you can

get a real job. It's like, really? Are you kidding

me? Yeah, yeah, that's annoying. And I don't

think any parents should push their kids to,

you know, have to. you're gonna do exactly what

I do and include including join the military

it's like yeah what really so yeah yeah I agree

with that but I mean if you look at you know

any of the any of the movies that have this kind

of you know thing this kind of father -son relationship

kind of thing in it they're all like this Where

the father wants to push the son to be in the

military kind of you know I mean I mean I obviously

I've seen yeah, it's like hey We join the military

to get away from our parents and that that's

sad, too I think anybody that joins and not that

I am knocking anybody join the military But I

want your reason to be able to go into it as

as as something that you wanted to do, not because

you had to escape something else to get into

it. I mean, it's the same thing if I think somebody

goes off and gets married to get away from their

parents. Well, I don't think that they should

have to do that either. Right. Just put you in

a situation where you can't really be true to

the organization that you're you're joining up.

with, no? No, I agree. But I think the thing

here is, Riot did it just to please his father,

and it was an escape for him, so he didn't have,

so they didn't always have to fight and always

upset his mother. So I mean, that I can, you

know, kind of understand why he went ahead and

did it. I mean, even though his heart wasn't

in it. I mean, he made it through. Basic training

he made it through, you know, they look like

he was fighting in a couple of wars or something

Yeah, I mean signed. Yeah Yeah, so And then the

last thing the last thing I say in here is where

he says I guess you do have a little bit of a

talent after all It's a step it's a step. Okay

Yeah, I know He didn't he didn't comment on it,

but like yeah, it is a step, but it's just a

lousy All right, anything else we want to bring

up for misfit moments for this one Amy what are

you gonna rate it? Um fourth relatability There

are a few strange bits So it's no in no way perfect

because we did point out a few things But I think

for what they address for the show, it's more

than forgivable. So I'm gonna give it a five.

Oh Wow, I was not expecting that Nicole I second

it, you know five because it's one of those it's

one of these episodes that just brings out so

many emotions and like I mean, look how much

we have talked on it. We've talked more on this

episode than how long the episode really was.

OK? So it must be either really good or really

bad. And we'll get to that one later. OK? Oh,

boy. Here we go. No, but this, like, it has,

it speaks to people. It's one of those, this

one could have been so easily a two parter. you

know but even maybe if it was a two -parter it

might have been strung out too much but like

you said you we saw what his his life was like

we saw how the stingers got together and it's

the episode that changed my mind about this jerk

face and if you could turn my opinion of a character

in one episode Kudos, you know? So yeah, five.

This is up there. Could you use the Yetis? No,

it could not have used Yetis. Don't even. I know

you're just throwing that in there. Yeah, they

could have had a Yeti in one of the fans, you

know, out in the crowd. Oh my god. Actually,

Yetis should have been like the Addison and Rabada.

I know, I had to mention it every episode, dad.

Well, not anymore since these are the end of

the cartoon reviews. No more yetis after this.

That's what you think. I will talk yetis all

the time. Next time you get us on another show,

you know, it'll be yetis forever, man. Oh, crap.

Damn you, Shangri -La. Damn you! Alright, for

me... You guys have already said it. It's fives

all around. Just absolutely loved this episode.

You know, may you rest in peace, Roger, but hats

off to you, Sly for the Sky Dragon, because holy

crap. This was the last episode he wrote, obviously.

See, that's what I'd like to know. And maybe

it's something we can have Christy back on, or

maybe it's something I can email her about and

find out, or maybe I have to email the guys formally

at Sunbow. I want to know what the writing schedule

was, because did writers, like, did they write?

the season three premier first or did they write

other because I know in certain TV shows certain

episodes are written before others and after

others but I mean if this is truly the last episode

that Roger wrote oh my god way to go out man

yeah absolutely I mean I really wish we had more

stories like this I mean yeah it sucks that the

season ended Mean because what could have been

the fourth season would be Well, we get into

that with our other discussion Before Nicole

has another breakdown, let's let's get to a father

should be after this Wait, I'm sorry riot. I

didn't come to see you. I came to see Randy.

I'll just be a moment What is it, Gem? You look

worried. It's Bonnie. She's obsessed with finding

her lost father. She won't eat or play, and we're

wondering if you could try and cheer her up.

Why, sure. I'll be over as soon as we get done

with this song. Bonnie, look who came to see

you. Hi there. Say, how's my best girl? Hi, Randy.

Wow. Hey, is that all the welcome I get? I'm

sorry, Randy, but I... Want my real father if

I can't have my father I Don't want to live anymore.

Oh Bonnie Dear girl, don't you know how much

we all care about you. We're we're your family

Alright folks, it's here. It's this is the end

Anyone else a door span I love the doors. They're

my second favorite. Oh, boy. All right. So this

is the end, folks. A Father Should Be, it aired

May 2nd, 1988. In the final episode, Jim and

the Holograms was open, right? Wait, wait, wait,

wait. May 2nd? And the other one was February?

Oh, yeah. It actually, yes. That's right. I'm

meant to bring this up. actually wanted to make

sure that I was right about this and yes they

um that's a huge lead that's a that's a huge

time break I'm actually looking at it here now

let's see so let me get the Okay, for season

3, let me just go ahead and fix my mistake from

last time. Stinger's parts 1 and part 2 aired

on February 2nd and 3rd of 88. Video Wars was

February 4th. Beauty and the Brack Road was February

5th. Homeland Heartland was February 8th. Midsummer's

Night Madness was on my birthday, February 9th.

I was 8 years old at the time. The Day the Music

Died was February 11th. Old Houdini magic was

the 15th of February 88 17th of February 88 was

straight from the heart change of heart was February

18th and Ryan's hope was February 22nd 1988 and

a father should be was May 2nd 1988 Wow, he's

that's a long wait. There were only one episode

to And to have this episode on top of that Yeah

It felt for look I'll just say this. This episode

really felt forced. It was kind of like, I don't

know what was going on behind the scenes. Let

him get through the accident. Can I get through

the plot first, please? I know! It ends! In this

final episode, Jim and the Holograms, with help

from Riot and his dad, search for Bonnie's father.

The Holograms travel to different parts of the

country. without any explanation, using information

provided by Riot and speak to various people

they think may be Bonnie's father. At first,

the holograms are tricked by a deadbeat gambler

named Andy Martin, who kidnaps Bonnie and tries

to extort one million dollars from Jim by keeping

her hostage at the abandoned zoo. Bonnie's true

father, Martin O 'Carolin, turns out to be an

amnesiac Vietnam veteran and a very gifted artist

who has no memory of her. Bonnie's father comes

back to Starlight Mansion, and upon hearing about

Bonnie being kidnapped, he and Jem go to the

rescue. During the rescue, he regains his lost

memory in flashbacks, and the two reunite. Jem

then sends Andy into a panic with holograms of

gorillas, driving Andy towards Martin, who then

angrily pushes him into the monkey cage. At Starlight

Mansion, the holograms and the Starlight girls,

as well as the stingers, have a going away party

for Bonnie. The misfits make a rare guest appearance.

arriving with going away presents as well and

make peace with Jim and the holograms and Bonnie

says goodbye to Jerrica and they affirm their

love for each other the songs were Family is

by Jim and the holograms a father should be by

Bonnie and this is farewell by Jim and the holograms

the misfits and the stingers Okay, you guys talk

cuz I need to take a breath That's the longest

plot thing I think they've ever put on any of

the shows I don't know what was going on behind

the scenes what was going because with that five

four months whatever in between this episode

really felt forced it's kind of like okay we're

gonna wrap up this with Bonnie you know because

that's the only thing that she's been talking

about since episode one is finding her redheaded

father you know and I guess they decided to wrap

up that story and then it just yeah this did

not to me feel like a season finale it's felt

like like a mid -season finale like they do now

you know it's kind of like oh that was nice and

sweet and now what so yeah if it it didn't ring

my bells let's just say what about you amy um

You know, it's one of those things where it's

like I agree with what you're saying because

I kind of feel like I Wish because fathers have

kind of been a theme like through the whole show.

I mean We've had Father's Day. We've had different

type of fathers and so it kind of like I mean

the whole It in a say in a sense you can almost

go. Well, where's the mothers in all of this?

But it's just one of those things words I kind

of wish that we had gotten to see Bonnie happier

sooner. Like we drug this out so long. It just

seems like it should have been resolved earlier.

And so I kind of thought about like, what would

have been like if they had like, instead of making

this the last episode, what if they made it like

in the middle and they would have made something

else as like the end. And I just thought, I don't

know. It's one of those things that's really,

really difficult to, to, to I don't know what

was going on at the time. I don't know, you know,

how these were put in this order, but it just

seems like part of the problem is they only got

half a season. So they didn't get a chance to

really, you know, it just, it's weird. It's just

one of those odd things that it just ended the

way that it did. I wish that it could have ended

differently, but it is what we got. I think as

a kid, I was like, you know, I was like, that's

weird. Maybe they didn't know that they were

going to get like, uh, canceled or something,

or maybe they didn't know. Sorry about that.

Um, and maybe, maybe ended up being one of those

texts. I shouldn't have said anything. Now I

got to edit this. Shut up. Six 38 edit point.

Six 38. Shut up! 650, edit. Go. I'm trying to

remember what I was saying, sorry. No, you're

saying it kind of felt like why did it end at

this point? Yeah. It just felt awkward. Well,

even as a kid, I thought, well, maybe they had

just... Like, maybe they only got half a season,

something like that. I just thought that was

a weird ending, but I was glad that we had some

sort of resolution. I just don't know if that's

a resolution I wanted to have. I don't know.

As an adult looking back now, I'm going, well,

it's just kind of, it's a mess. It's a mess.

The last episode is the most difficult episode

to get because you're like... it got you got

some resolution but it just seems like there

should have been more but yeah it's maybe that

that should you know leaving on one of the strange

we got so that's what we have there's no changing

it that's that's that's facts man so yep and

i'm trying to And again, like we always say,

use it with a grain of salt, people. I'm trying

to find information on Sunbow, because I know

Gem was a Sunbow Entertainment production. It

doesn't really leak, because they didn't go defunct

until 2004. If they were founded in 1980, they

went to function 2004 around May 4th of 1998.

So many wonder, uh, bought Sunbow and obviously

was later bought by TV loon land, uh, in 2000.

Um, so I, cause I, I thought something would

be here where Sunbow would have like, like we

said, this is what, this is what May 2nd, right?

So I thought something, and I had to make sure

I was reading that right for myself when I said

May 4th, 1998, because I thought something happened

with Sunbeau where it just stopped. I know Sunbeau

was kind of on its way out at the point of 88.

For me, this episode, it's because we didn't

get a gem season four. This show this this should

so not be the series finale It yeah does not

feel like a season finale Although they did a

little thing at the end to make it kind of wrap

up, but it's still I feel unresolved I mean there

are there are threads that I still feel unresolved

about so Yeah, me too any other thoughts on the

plot for this one We'll get into more here Let's

I'm almost scared now folks. Let's get into hologram

moments after this We know so little about Bonnie's

father He was a soldier in Vietnam and he married

Bonnie's mother Kyo -chin there, but they were

separated Kyo -chin died before reaching America

But before that the name she gave for the father

was Martin And the red hair? Bunny claims that

her mother told her that her father had red hair.

Not much to go on. I can only think of one person

who might help us. Riot. Why Riot? His father

is an officer in Army Intelligence. He might

not help Jerrica, but I'm sure he'll help Jem.

Showtime, Synergy. I'll see you later, ladies.

Good luck! It is time for the hologram moments

for A Father Should Be. I'm almost scared to

even find if there are any here, but mine is

I don't know what was going on here, but was

there a moment where Rio could actually sing?

I swear to God, I saw, yeah, I saw in one of

the videos that Rio's mouth was moving and vocals

were coming out of it. Oh. That's a first. As

a singing voice. Vocals? Yes. Maybe I'm so...

I just go over... You're so anti -Rio. When I

see Rio, I just try to ignore whatever he's doing.

He's gotta be tone deaf. They just... I guess

we need to go back and check that out. I'll go

back and look and make sure. Okay. Alright Amy,

what do you got? What do I have? OK, for hologram

moments, I thought it was nice that they invited

Mr. Martin O 'Carolin to dinner, you know, because

he came out all that way and Bonnie was not there.

So like, hey, we at least we could do is invite

you to dinner. I'm glad that he didn't like say

no, because like, hey, who would refuse all these

lovely ladies in front of you, right? I like

the fact that Martin volunteers to help. but

it was a little cheesy. It was like, I was trained

by the army for this. Kidnapping is kidnapping

is usually the FBI's thing. But we'll give you

points because, you know, you tried for effort.

I think what he meant was he was trained as a.

Covert operative in the army what you know sneaking

around and all that and and being able to scout

out play around too, but hey You know what I

mean, yes, I do know what I mean Amy Yeah, I

think Bonnie giving riot. His kiss was great.

That was a nice little giggle Isaac. Oh look

Jim didn't know that was That was awesome Let's

see. And then my last point, I kind of already

brought this up, is I wish you'd gotten to see

Bonnie happier earlier than just the last episode,

because it would have been nice to see how she

adjusted to being with her new dad and vice versa.

So that's pretty much my hologram moments. I

will say it was kind of cool them tracking Randy

down again. That was kind of nice to see him.

What about you Nicole? What do you got? Okay,

I really I don't know the older painting of Bonnie

that he made of her it really spoke to me I'm

like, oh, that's a really pretty picture, you

know, I don't know It was one of those things.

I'm like, that's really good. She looks gorgeous,

you know, it's not like she she's a cute kid,

but that picture just looked really pretty picture

of her mother yeah for sure yeah she looks like

her mom um i did like how bonnie's father did

rescue her and this is their first meeting i

kind of got a little kick out of that i'm like

oh you're following up a cliff hi daddy i really

did like that it kind of was like over the top

but i thought it was kind of cute and I do love

the very, very last song when you have all three

bands singing together and it sounds really good.

I really like that. Those are my moments. I think,

you know, the song at the end was great. And

I love that this was Christie's kind of farewell.

And while I may be a little harsh on this episode,

as far as it not exactly being full -on series

finale yes yes this is a it's a good season finale

but I see you know when I watch this back because

I actually watched this twice today I watched

it well when when we recorded this episode I

watched it twice the day we recorded because

I wanted to watch it in the beginning in the

morning of the before the record and then I watched

it like I don't know an hour before we sat down

to record this podcast because I wanted to really

see why this was the eventually the series finale

and I do understand it now I do see it I still

in the back of my mind I still think out of the

past because this is gem in the holograms this

isn't Jim Bonnie and and in her father like don't

get me wrong. I'm not knocking this episode at

all I do still think though that out of the past

would have been a better Overall series finale

like if they had taken that episode and put that

after this Would have been fine, but I completely

understand That this was Christie's way to say

goodbye to the fans and thankfully they allowed

her to do so because not a lot of networks and

not a lot of animation companies or any their

shows that just get canned just because if the

ratings aren't doing well or if this isn't doing

well if the toys aren't selling if the Poor Green

Lantern the animated series. Oh my gosh. Anyway,

what happened? I know I know it was So Do we

have any misfit moments for this one? Yeah, yeah

Yeah See how much they make me work, ladies and

gentlemen, we'll be back after You're beautiful.

You expect me to believe you ain't got no money

because it all goes into supporting them girls?

I swear it's true. A big -time rock star like

you? You're lying to me, Jim Baby. And that ain't

smart. announce you moments for the last time

as far as the cartoon go cartoon goes cuz I think

yeah I think I'm gonna get misty eyed guys I

think I think Mike is gonna get misty eyed cuz

you know Alright, Amy, what do you got? Okay,

I don't want to minimize what a child goes through

when they don't have a father, but this thread

seems to have been drug out way too long. I wish

they had opened the season with this episode

or something after the stingers were introduced.

You know, like I said, it seems like they put

it in the wrong spot. That's all I'm saying.

Mean and I'm not and I'm not trying to downplay.

I know that this was a difficult episode for

Chrissy to to write as well, but it was like

I want to love it so bad. Oh, well anyhow, um,

I Thought it was kind of odd that you know, hey

Andy Martin the gambler Yeah, I'm surprised that

they allowed him to take Bonnie at all because

I have that too Everything he did should have

been raising flags of warning like left and right

It's just that I would not have allowed him to

take a dog a girl like that away from their house

until We got to know a little bit better. He

seems kind of off You know, do you guys have

any of your own instincts? Shana nearly poked

gem in the eye like look this is not the guy

not the guy Yeah, Shana like if she would have

spoken up a little bit more It might not have

gone down I understand why it went down this

way to basically lead it to the moment where

oh my god the first time you meet your father

is that he's saving your life and He's swooping

in you know I had problems with that too because

I was like hey if you're a child Every guy that's

been around has not been your dad What says that

this guy is gonna be any different sure he catches

you, but it's like you just got finished being

assaulted Why the last guy? Would you not be

like, ah, it's a stranger. Let's run away. Stranger

danger. But I think Bonnie's over... You'd think

that she would just be... That should just tell

that this child is messed up. Well, yeah, but

I'm saying, like, I think her... I think they

made that point earlier on in the episode or

in the season somewhere, too. She'll go with

anyone that says Scott has red hair. I mean,

that should be a warning sign that you should

be, you know, a psychologist here. The warning

sign was if I can't have my dad, I don't want

to live anymore. And I'm like, no one's taking

this message seriously. Anyone? Anyone? No one

heard that. OK, we're just moving on. Oh, right.

I think that's the reason why, everybody. So

we've got to find a dad. We've got to find a

dad. But. Not at the cost of you know finding

the wrong guy because exactly out is the wrong

guy, but yeah If this could have been fixed if

they had only had cell phones to say speaking

of cell phones Don't these people know we're

working here I'm half blind so my hearing is

super sensitive Where the hell were we yeah,

so I think I think with Bonnie it's more so She

has this overbearing need to find her father

And don't get me wrong every parent or every

child that doesn't know they're one of their

parents would have that need But hers is it's

blinding like it's not showing her That she needs

to be careful. It's not you know And I think

that's why Jarek is kind of there and everybody

else is kind of there to say hey Even Chrissy

and I don't even remember who the other starlight

girl was But I think the one that was with her

most of the time was Chrissy You know That's

the problem with Bonnie is that overbearing absolutely

blindsided need to find her father. Maybe it's

even more, maybe it's even bigger for hers because

she had her mother. Her mother dies, she gets

put into the system. Her mother always said that

he had red hair and that he would come back because

he said that he would. Little did they know that

he had gotten amnesia and he couldn't. Because

he just couldn't remember them sad to say the

brain and they're the brain injuries But I don't

know I just just one of those things that there

are plenty of people out there that really really

care about her and You know, she's got stuck

on this thing that her mother said so and We

you know, you mentioned or some it was either

you or Nicole obviously you're the only two here

this episode No, no, it was it's Bob. He's over

in the corner Yeah. Um, I don't know if I still

have that outtake, but I figured out what that

was. I think I already told you guys, but anyway,

um, we have a ghost on the episode. Not this

week. Luckily she's not streaming. Yeah. So,

uh, ladies and gentlemen, Mike is just crazy.

You hear his voices. Crazy and alone, what can

I say? Alright, so... Where the hell was that

going? Yeah, I know, I know, I know. I'm trying

to think here. Because the page is blank, essentially.

Here, I'll finish up mine. Okay, go ahead. You

do that! The other thing was, let's see here.

One of the gunshots sounded like a laser gun

sound effect, and I thought, wow! Star Trek,

pew! of the, you know, Sunbow episodes. G .I.

Joe. Yeah, it could have been G .I. Joe, Transformers,

one of them, you know. Synergy uses the same

A polygram to scare the fake dad. And I thought

she should have used yetis. She should have used

yetis. That would have really scared the crap

out of me, man. I'd be like, get me in that cage,

please. But yeah, that just. I just thought,

you know, we kind of knocked her last episode

for, you know, making Jem look like a nurse,

but in Jem. Maybe that's why the show had a synergy

was down. She's just like, I've had too much

of this crap. I can't even take this little love

triangle that Riam doesn't know anything. I'm

out. Um, then of course, uh, shoehorning the

Misfits into the last episode last like two seconds

or two minutes. Yeah, I just I wanted to see

more of the misfits. It was kind of hard. I mean,

yeah. Yeah, yeah, it is what it is. So that's

that's my missing moment. There was a lot about

this episode that I wanted to like it, but it

just seemed to me. I know it's a place. Yeah,

that's what I'm saying. If it was maybe like

I said earlier on in the season, it would have

been OK. But yeah, my my big thing was The other

father that just took her can't remember his

name now and Andy Martin yeah, what he did I

mean I really had time I'm just gonna take her

for a drive. I'm like uh You know I could take

her for a walk on the property I was gonna say

there's four adult women and tons of girls you

could take this guy down, okay? But I did that

was like the creep factor set in right there

like uh i did not care for that feeling you know

um and then like you said all of a sudden pizzazz

learned her lesson like i'm a good girl now i'm

like no that was so forced i about choked on

it okay because pizzazz has been always about

her me me me me me you think some girl finding

her father maybe because she had that episode

with her father you know That was a really good

episode. I don't think she's good Yeah, I don't

think worked in the sense because like they did

have the the star that girls did come and stay

with the Misfits they like, you know put him

into child labor, but But you know, I honestly

don't think because as is gonna change your attitude

in 24 hours true That's why I kind of hoped that

they if they had used it earlier in the episode

earlier in the season Maybe they could have had

one. Maybe they could have had another episode

where you know pizzazz like kind of comes to

know that these kids are actually kind of cool

and you know yeah i mean just because they're

with jim the holograms doesn't mean that they're

complete and total losers yeah i yeah i it's

just like it just felt so forced to me the whole

miss and i'm and i didn't even show my girlfriend

roxy roxy was i know i'm like she was for like

two seconds come on she didn't have a she or

jenna did not have a speaking i know don't like

that Bullcrap. You call shenanigans. I do. Alright,

what are we gonna rate A Father Should Be? And

actually folks, I think we're honestly gonna

have to give it two ratings, one for a season

ender and one for a series finale ender, since

it is a series finale. Oh, do you really want

to, you know, drag out the pain? Well, okay,

I'll drill out the pain. All right. So as a season

-ending episode, what are you going to give it,

Amy? A season -ending episode or just a regular

episode? Season three. This is the end of season

three. It's the worst ender ever. I mean, I don't

want to be that person, but jeez. I mean, it's

like I've... It's not my favorite ever of any

show that I've ever watched. It's probably the

one where I like, you know, if I've ever seen

other, you know, shows end, I'd be like, I, I

gem in the holograms if it was ever like in my

brain. It's like, well, at least it didn't end

like that one did. I mean, I hate to be that

person because like, I love Christie and I love

this show, but this is just not the right ending

for this at all. i've never been okay with that

i i don't i think i've ever been okay with that

so i'm i hesitate to even give it a number because

it's like i gear all bad endings off this wow

i'm sorry you gotta you gotta give it a number

i mean you gotta give it a number that's how

i feel but i love the show so much i mean hey

i i I committed a year of my life to review this,

knowing that this was going to happen and we're

going to get to the end of this show and have

to say these words and go, ah! Well, that one

show, they had the worst ending ever, you know?

So as a season finale, what are you going to

rate A Father Should Be? Well, it can't be worse

than the last one that we rated really low, too.

So I'm going to have to put it around that one.

It's a two. OK, as a series finale, what do you

give it? I bet you're going to get the same ratings

as I am. I've gotten written down here. I'm like.

Ask Nicole, jeez. Oh, no, no, no, no. I'll help

you out here. I'll help you. I'll help you here.

OK, Nicole, what is your season -ending rating?

Season? It's a two, because I really did like

that moment with Bonnie and her real dad. That

really was a really cute moment. I liked the

last song. I enjoyed it. There's a couple good

moments. as a series finale, it's still a little

bit better than the China episode, okay? That

episode, that's the episode I based all crap

on, okay? As a series finale, because they did

wrap up something, they did wrap up the whole

thing with Bonnie, I'll give them credit for

that. the whole misfits kind of thing, just being

there. Like I said, it was kind of forced, but

it was good seeing the full cast all together

as one. Even Rio. He was in the bathroom. Did

you just choke on those words? Yeah, I did. Oh

my God. Because I know I never had to deal with

his crap again. Oh, yes, you do. But because...

Yes, but Rio in the comics is better. As a series

finale, I'm giving a one and a half stars because

It just tied up one loose end why everything

else was just out there I do I think even right

story that we just talked about would have been

a better series finale But this like I said,

this was just would have been like Amy said I

wouldn't have been so hard on this episode if

it was somewhere else but this is the very last

taste you're gonna get of one of your favorite

shows from the 80s and it's just like that's

it it didn't leave you that with that cuddly

feeling or that shock feeling like the Sopranos

did you know it kind of just left you there like

oh okay I was very unresolved as a kid. I was

very unresolved when I saw that. You sound like

you're still unresolved as an adult. Like Abe

said earlier, I love Christy. We all love Christy.

I kind of thought that somebody else wrote it,

to be honest. I did too. I was like, somebody

else must have wrote that. I wonder if Christy's

okay. I did too, but knowing that Christy put

herself into Bonnie, that was kind of sweet.

I think I want to be that kid where I like, you

know, I want to get kissed by Riot. Come on.

Riot sweep me off my feet. Exactly. No, it just

it is just it was OK episode, but not for a series.

I think that sounds fair. I think that sounds

fair what you said. So I agree with Nicole. So

what is your number, Amy? What's your numbering,

Nicole? One and a half for a series finale. OK,

so a two for the episode, a one and a half for

a season wrap up. What about you, Mike? There

you go. Are you going to be more gentle than

us? No. OK. On one aspect, yes. On one aspect,

no. As a season finale, if there had been a fourth

season. I gotta give it a 2 .5. And the only

reason why I guess that additional .5 is because

of that final song and because we did see most

of all of the main cast. Uh, we didn't see Anthony

Julian. We didn't see Howard Sands. We didn't

see a couple of the, well, not that, not that

they could have put her in there. We didn't even

see synergy, but they couldn't have put her in

there. But here's the thing. The reason why I'm

giving it a 2 .5 is because even though there's

a lot of nitpicks that we can pull out of this,

and even though there's a lot of things we can

point out, Bonnie's storyline got resolved. I

mean, now as a series finale, I gotta give it

a .5 because... I didn't even know we could go

that low. Zero. Zero is the lowest. Okay, I want

to give you zero for that China episode then.

Oh, stop it. We want to retrograde that one.

We'll talk about that later. Talk about that

later because I do have a whole process, but

we'll talk about that later I run the show What

are you going to do, jump through my computer

screen? Yes, you bet. Anyway. Done before. Done

before. You see me? You see me? I'm there. I'm

right on your screen. You just don't see it.

Yeah, right. No. Let's get Skype's minimized.

I'm giving it a 0 .5 because, so it gets a 0

.5 because it's great they gave them a send off,

but where's Eric? Where's TechRat? Why? How do

you move? Where's the Yeti? Oh my god, I'm gonna...

You know how they have everybody including the

bad guys there and everybody's hugging going

yay. I'm sorry. I'm going to kill something.

Yetis are awesome. Death to all Yetis. No! Come

on! In all fairness, the third Bubby episode,

that was the only good thing about that movie,

was the Yetis in that movie too. Okay, so, series

finale, the reason why A Father Should Be gets

a .5 from me, is because... Well, it gives it

a great send -off it doesn't as I was trying

to say earlier Gives us no resolution on where

the hell Eric or tech rat are it gives us the

entire third season I know it was supposed to

be all about introducing the stingers and have

that that new rivalry But they essentially push

the Misfits aside Misfits are in less episodes

in this season than the other two. I mean I mentioned

earlier an episode Either well, we started this

at episode 18. We're ending it at episode 22

as far as season 3 so between 18 and 21 I mentioned

somewhere along those lines that I always thought

once season 3 started then the Stingers got introduced

that it was a a Menage -a -trois battle between

Jem, the Misfits, and the Stingers. They were

all vying for that fame now. You just wanted

to get Frenchy on us, didn't you? No. I wanted

to get Frenchy, I would have included Pepe De

Pew at some point in this episode. Who knows,

it might still happen, folks! Anyway, uh... Maybe

it just goes to show how difficult it is to juggle

three groups like that. I mean, I did, as I was

kind of going through and watching the rest of

the season as we get ready to talk about the

overall thoughts of the third season, I mean,

there are... Quite a few. I mean, we get the

first opening, the two parter, and then we get

a couple of episodes with just the Misfits and

Jem, and the Stingers are nowhere to be found

at the very beginning. So maybe it just comes

down to it's very difficult to balance three

bands like that in a show like this. Well, I

think it was also difficult that this season

was cut in half, too. Yeah. So you've got it

was already at a disadvantage to begin with because

of that. Which really sucks. All right, folks.

We're gonna take a quick break You're going to

hear these songs from this episode because as

you've already heard I actually put in a lot

of a lot a lot of audio from these two episodes

and into this final Cartoon review episode of

the podcast. So we're gonna take a quick break

You're gonna hear some songs from the two episodes

riots. Hope and Father should be we'll come back

3 here on Showtime Synergy for Jim and the Holograms.

As always we start out with favorite characters.

I'm gonna go first on this since I only have

five. Well two actually or one but Jim and Jerrica

obviously I don't think there I like their characters

here obviously, but I don't think there was enough

character development like I wish they would

have and I know this season suffers because it

was only half a season I get that but I Don't

know. They're just some some of those episodes.

I wish were more character driven than what they

were Minx as much as she's going after Rio and

all that she had a really good character building

episode this this season I've well the only season

she's in but I really did like her character

turned both times when she turned good and when

she Basically turned to I just don't give a shit

And then it only happened after His character

development in in hope but riot I never thought

I'd put him in a favorite character category.

But after a riot's hope, I mean, how can you

not like the guy? Unless you're just like a heartless,

cold person. Well, Nicole, favorite characters?

OK. I love the stickers, but I... That's why

I have the stingers down because because I liked

all three of them. I love how batshit crazy rapture

is She's totally insane to the point. We're like,

how does anyone believe her? She is so extreme

and so mental I love all her crazy ideas and

things that she comes up I just it was one of

one of those things with just like what's she

gonna do now? And she honestly thinks she's gonna

get away with I like crazy characters like that.

I also enjoyed Clash in this season because she

actually did learn that she can have friends.

She doesn't have to be used by the Misfits. Gemini

the Holograms actually took her in for a while

and she actually learned her lesson like, oh,

you know, this isn't a bad way to be. So I kind

of like her character development as well. and

let's see. I thought I had someone else put down

on here. I guess I just put down all the stingers

because I really had a fun time with them. So,

but yeah, Rapture being my favorite. Oh boy.

Amy, what about you? Well, besides the Yeti that,

you know, that was in the season. Yeah, I know.

And TechRat because like he was like last season

too. I think Because the I really kind of like

the stingers, I mean, I know they're can very

conceited They were very conceited. Oh my gosh,

but you know, I loved the addition of the of

the third group It just seemed to really kind

of work. I don't know it did I can't say that's

all I really put on here because I you know,

I liked clash I liked a lot of the other things

too, but I just I really I really kind of liked

the dynamic that the stingers put in here And

yeah, after, you know, 12 episodes, not only

were they introduced, but I fell in love with

them. So as as messed up as Rapture is, I kind

of like what's going on with Minx and and Riot.

Both of them were. You are all. Well, Minx, she

had her episode, too, that really showed her

a different side to her. Yeah, I really like

that Rapture. She's just crazy. Yeah. I love

it. I don't know. Well, you know, we love other

characters because they're crazy, like, you know,

Roxy. Yes, I love Roxy. Oh, God, can you imagine

if there was ever a Roxy and Rapture buddy cop

show? Oh, wow, that would have been cool. They

would be cops. They would be, they would be more

than ranos. You know what I mean? You know what

I mean? Well, maybe the comics will do something

with them. Yeah. Who knows? All right. Favorite

moments for me from season three? Honestly, the

favorite moments for me is seeing how they adapt

the reused songs into new videos. Cause I don't

know, some of the reused songs, like reusing,

um, which one was it? Um, not. Yeah. Reusing

Hollywood gem two times in the same episode.

That was. Okay, no, but at least the videos Were

were cool other moments for me. I don't know

I do like Like we were like we've already said,

you know the entirety of riots Hope there really

isn't one or two moments I can pick out of that.

The whole thing is good I Do like the animosity

between riot and Rio and the stinger's hit town.

I thought that was a cool moment I don't know.

Amy, what do you got? Uh, let's see, favorite

moments. Uh, I also liked all the times where

Rio and Riot, you know, you know, were against

each other. But especially so in the season opener

when we get the, they're getting, that's my girlfriend

now. Anyhow, I'm the perfect man. You know, she's

got to be the perfect woman and we're perfectly

suited to one another. That was, that was good.

Uh, but anytime that Minx goes after Rio. That

was always hilarious. Pizzazz being head over

heels over right at the point where Rapture does

this whole bamboozle trick thing on her, makes

her do stuff and then Riot plays along. I was

like, oh my gosh, it's got to be the best moment.

That's got to be hilarious. I have that as one

of my favorites, too. That's really good. I also

like the part where Clash shocks the the Misfits

with her latest disguise because they can't tell

that it's her. And then she's like, really honestly,

guys. And she takes it off and they all look

at her like, really? So that was a really good

one, too. And I know there were a couple of other

ones, but I couldn't find them. So I haven't

put them on here. Sorry. What about you, Nicole?

OK, again, I love the Rio riot fight. I'm like,

oh, these two pretty boys going at it. I love

it. Kick his ass, right? No, the whole pizzazz,

the lovesick thing. I love the song and I love

the whole... how extreme Rapture took it. Just

like you said, I love Rapture. She's just insane.

And I love all this stuff. She would never do

that for anybody else. I mean, if anybody else

tried to do that, pull that wool over her eyes

like that, she would just like, you suck. And

she'd just punch him in the face. But no, it's

like Rapture is totally giving her this total

line and she's buying it hook, line and sinker.

It's just like, oh my goodness. She must really

be head over heels over him. Yeah, let's see.

Here's the thing. It's like. Rapture going after

OK, Rapture is the mischievous one out of the

three of them. Obviously. Rapture going after

pizzazz. Like in a story sense really makes no

sense because. After what we've seen in riots,

so where almost it seemed that riot. Minx were

an item at one point or another I mean unless

the because remember in riots hope she walks

off with them and their arm and arm and Eventually,

I assume they had some sort of relation to chaos

Yeah, that's true, and she knows that riot will

play along so by not you know like as cheesy

as cheesy as Judy and the rock promoter was Beauty

and the Beast I still like that story. I think

I've been listening to the music and I kind of

like the songs from it. So like, oh, that's kind

of fun, you know? But yeah, I have to agree with

you there. It was cheesy. Don't get me wrong,

but I loved it. I love the craziness like that.

The Midsummer Night Madness. It all goes crazy.

I mean, it's just yeah. I kind of like smoking

pot in that episode. Yeah, I think so too. Let's

see. I try to think. And of course, just all

of Riot's hope that, like I said, I wish that

was a season finale. That was the season ender.

I think that would have been so good, but that

was everything about that episode was great.

I mean, now I understand why Riot is so Riot,

you know. Yeah, why he's so conceited is because

it's just so yeah changing my mind on a character

like that In a very quick turnaround is amazing.

I was just like, oh wow. Okay, cool. Yeah Absolutely.

All right favorite episodes for me, obviously

the stingers hit town two -parter Beauty and

the Rock promoter simply because Greg Berger

is the big, Grimlock is the beast. At first,

I didn't really like Midsummer Night's Madness,

but I've listened to the song several times and

I really dig the song. I do too. It starts off

slow and that just picks up and I love it. The

Day the Music Died. The Day the Music Died and

Riot's Hope out of the past from season two those

are the three episodes that I probably could

never decide which one is a better deserving

series finale because the day the music died

everything went away everything blew up in their

face regardless of what issues we have with how

the timeline played out of that episode just

for the sheer fact that they Ferris Bueller'd

it I mean come on And you know we've already

gushed for Ladies and gentlemen in between when

we do the off -air stuff in between the actual

recordings For this episode alone. I pointed

out to Amy and Nicole the time span of this episode

not counting any audio bits I put in The entirety

of riots. Hope the plot the hologram and the

misfit moments It was just about 40 30 40 minutes

about half of a normal three -episode review

podcast. Again, I tell you, it's a good episode

because episodes only 22 minutes, and we talked

about it for 40 minutes. That tells you something.

We talk about it longer than two episodes. It

must be something. It must be something, like

I said, either really good or really bad, and

we just had a lot to say about it, a lot of good

things. yeah absolutely i don't know if i would

be okay with riots hope being the end to be honest

because i think it'd have the same i think it'd

have an issue with the fact that here's a episode

where we love this character we waited to the

very very end to finally actually get a background

for him so i don't know if i would like that

as a the season season ender either because of

the same reason that you know we've knocked other

things for this I wish this character wasn't

being introduced right now this far into the

the show I wish it was like, you know earlier,

I think I You know, I don't know. It's just one

of those things that I I Think I I'd have to

go back and watch the one that you mentioned

was out of time I think I might I'd want to go

check it out one again and see do I think that

would really be a good ending but it was last

season so it's kind of Shoulda, coulda, woulda,

you know? Shoulda, coulda, woulda. It's kind

of hard to figure out, but yeah. So what are

your favorites, Amy? For this season, I have

to say All Time High would absolutely have to

be Riot's Hope. I really, really dug that episode.

I liked all the other episodes. None of them

really stand out to me as high as that one does

because I had such a reaction to it. Um, so I

I'm not gonna that's the only one I'm gonna put

in there, but I definitely have some least favorites

I'm gonna have to to pretty much mimic you guys

right soap was the top of the top of the whole

list here for this season again, I the cheesiness

of Beauty and the Rock promoter Like I said,

I just loved it. So it's it's one of those fun

ones. It brought me back to my childhood You

know knowing Beauty and the Beast before Disney

made Beauty and the Beast, you know, and so and

I kind of did like video wars Overall, I there

were some problems I did have with it, but overall

I kind of liked that clash had her moment. So

I did enjoy the two -part opener but I would

have to say it was basically Riot's Hope and

Beauty and the Rock promoter were my favorites.

Alrighty then. So, as I Ace Ventura it up or

the mask or whatever, least favorite time, folks.

Least favorite characters. I know Nicole's gonna

bash me over the head with a Flintstones club

or something. Rapture. Why? How can you not like

Rapture? She takes things too far. Like, I understand

she's the mis - I know, but I understand she's

the mischievous one, but she just takes things

to the point where they're too unbelievable.

I know, but she believes them and that's what

makes her awesome. No, but that's the problem.

She believes she's getting away with it, and

yes it is. No, because it makes more adventure

then. Okay. Anyway, we'll just agree to disagree.

Yeah, okay. Let's see. Rapture's honestly the

only one I wrote down because this season there

were no annoying kids. There were no annoying

subplots. There were no one -off episodes with...

Fitzgerald Beck type characters. I'm not saying

Fitzgerald Beck is an annoying character. I'm

just saying that there were no... There were.

We had the one with the Rockstar... Old Houdini

Magic. Old Houdini Magic. I've tried to erase

Old Houdini Magic from my memory, but thank you.

Amy, what are your least favorite characters?

I had a hard time with this one because I pretty

much liked everybody. I mean, I get Rapture.

She you have to have that crazy person in there

and she's that person she does a really good

job at it And I that's why I've really kind of

enjoyed her Character so I'm not gonna say oh,

you know I didn't like that so what I put in

here as my least favorite characters are the

characters that I wish I would have gotten a

chance to know more about and I I put in here

astral and regime because I wanted to know more

about those guys and I didn't get a chance to

because the the season was short So, I mean,

they could have been used a little bit more,

but they didn't get to. So that's what I decided

to put in here. I don't, it's not that I don't

love them. It's I wanted to love them more. So.

Okay. I have a couple. I would assume so. Okay.

Uh, Bonnie's pretend father, Andy. Oh, yeah.

He could go fly off a cliff. And I. I can't even

remember her name now. Jerika's third personality

of Midsummer Night. Jamie. Jamie. I knew it was

another J. I did not care for her character whatsoever.

I'm just like, go away. She didn't run into Rio

again. Yeah. Yeah, that's right. Yeah. Maybe

that's the problem I had. It's just like, but

I did not care. All she was good for is running

into Rio. I know. Even though it's Jerika. It's

still, when she went to the personality of Jamie,

I did not care for that. Yeah. So those are like

the two characters that it's just like, go away.

Okay. Character wise, the season was pretty stable.

It was just they introduced, like Amy said, a

bunch of new characters where we really didn't

know a whole lot about. So we really can't criticize

it because we don't know them. Yeah. All right,

least favorite moments. Honestly for me, it's

simply one thing. Anytime there is no character

development, well then the character development

comes way too late. Because I think that's what

this season really ended up being, was they wanted

to throw the character, don't get me wrong, I

absolutely love Riot's, we've already talked

about it, Riot's character development, but the

fact that there's been a lack of it. or even

a hint of like I understand he has to keep up

this image and that's fine but everybody breaks

down sooner or later at some point in one little

teeny instance before we get the big character

development reveal um like like we've already

said you know the whole thing with uh with Regine

and Astral just throwing them in there no don't

just do that What do you got Amy for least favorite

moments? Okay, so least favorite moments I'd

say anytime that Jim just up and left with riot

She ignored everything but then goes back to

Rio. That was really always odd It's like hey,

you're the one that did the leaving you went

off with this guy and now that people are like

Hey, what's going on with this? You're like,

oh, I'm sorry. I'm coming back. No, it was like

Jim, really? Make up your mind. Don't string

these two people along like that. That's not

right. And then anytime that Rio was giving an

ultimatum, it's just wow. It's like he's a woman

in a man's body. And anytime when Rio is like

jealous he's like, oh, you know, she's my girl's

like, you know what? She's always giving you

mixed signals. I think I'd be mad at her not

mad at you know riot Okay, wait, say say say

Rio's a girl again Rio's a woman in a man's body

Back yeah, we'll be back in a moment Oh, Rio,

he has a bigger vagina than all three of us combined.

I apologize for that. Okay. Thank you, Nicole,

for that insight into Rio. What were you gonna

continue saying, Amy? Okay, so I also, if I would

put Rio in that, I guess I should probably, you

know... Throw in the fact that you know gems

off and on love of riot when you know Why don't

why does she give him so much of? Her attention

when you know he's conceited son of a gun sometimes

And you know what he doesn't really deserve some

of her love sometimes But yet you know she seems

to give him a pass and not go over there and

say hey. Why are you doing this? I can't love

somebody that's being this way She ends up giving

him a pass every single time. It's like geez

gem But then, you know, her love triangle, her

love life is so messed up. So, there you go.

Yes, yes it is. Nicole, least favorite moments

of season three. I will get this right now. Take

three. Was that a face palm? That was a face

plant. I swear to God, I'm going to kill you.

Take four Nicole least favorite moments of season

three of gem in the hologram shows ending Overall

like we already just talked about this. It didn't

feel like it was a season finale or a serious

finale It felt like a good end of the episode,

you know But how they handled it to go for so

long To for one last episode to have that four

month gap and to end it on that it was kind of

like I kind of felt like they weren't even trying

I don't want to say that because I know Christy

is an amazing writer and she wanted to keep this

going and I'd like said I don't know behind the

scenes, but that's just what it felt like to

me It's just like well, we'll just put this out

there and say voila, you know Um, it's kind of

like, you know, when your souffle falls and you

just try to cover it up with icing, you know,

it just, it just doesn't work. But, um, yeah,

I, I, I didn't agree with introducing new characters

and not developing them. So, and yeah, those,

I'd say those are my moments. All right. Least

favorite episodes Nicole Okay, so my two least

favorite episodes Were the ones that we talked

about last time around was old heating magic

and straight from the heart mostly likely because

We I felt like those are stories we've seen before

They felt like they were reused We've seen the

magic show before we've we've seen the struggling

Fashion designer and It's just it didn't play

well for me. I'd say those are my two least favorite

In this order a father should be that whole old

Houdini magic and Straight from the heart. Those

are the my three least favorite episodes. Yeah

for me it's Essentially we've become reflector

people And anyone that listens to this show that

doesn't get that reference, it's a Transformers

reference. That old Houdini magic, and straight

from the heart. As much as I love Buzz Dixon,

because he wrote that episode straight from the

heart, I just think that was one of the ones

that the producers said, here, write this. I

don't think, and I could be wrong, and I hope

Buzz hears this, and I hope he realizes that

I'm not criticizing him specifically. I'm criticizing

whatever the situation was. But those two episodes,

the magic episode we had with Frickin' Frack

was 10 or 20 times better than that old Houdini

magic. Yeah. It just was. It just was. It's because

you got characters named Frickin' Frack. There

you go. Absolutely. That's something right there.

All right. Overall thoughts on the third season

for me. Overall thoughts. The third season wasn't

long enough, obviously. By the end, I was pretty

much like, wait, that's it? I want more. I do

think they did a bang -up job of getting the

character development in there, but sadly it

came way too late. Like, if this had been a normal

26 -episode season... They could have worked

so much better. They could have worked these

storylines even some of the one -off episodes

into a Better formation to make a full season

and the fact they didn't get a chance to do that

is just heartbreaking What's what about you Amy

for overall thoughts on season three? I'd have

to say I agree. I mean, it's it's one of those

things where like, uh, we got half a season and

I already put it at disadvantage But you're right.

I wish that we got to see more. I wish that we

had got to see more Things with the stingers,

I mean there's a lot of potential that just didn't

get tapped I think because of that It's just

yeah, so because of that the the season felt

I mean when it got to the end I think that that

added to the the rushed cut feeling of the episodes

that were wrapping up at the very end. And again,

like I said, it's challenging. There is a challenge

when you have three different main bands that

you're, you know, three groups of people that

you're kind of featuring. And that's a battle.

That in itself is difficult. But then the fact

that they only had 12, 13 episodes to feature

the new band, it's kind of like, oh, I wish they

could have done more with that. Someone always

gonna get sidelined for the episodes so One man

that gets sidelined the entire series the limp

lizards We haven't even mentioned them till now

golly, yeah Poor lizards, but yeah, it's Nicole,

overall thoughts on season three? I mean, I think

we all just feel like it's like you had that

questioning because it was cut so short. What

could have been? What could have? What else could

we have been adventurous to and seeing? Would

Rio ever find out about Jeff? Yeah, yeah. I think

that is the one thing that pisses me off about

the whole series more than anything. Come on

you told some strange woman in the Himalayas

that you were told the president. Yeah, but you

can't Okay I did in one of mine not the interview

we have with Christy marks on this show But in

one of the earlier interviews that I did with

her I don't know if it's actually in the interview

or if I asked her off -air. I Did ask her if

she ever got the chance Could she tell us or

would she tell us? How she would bring gem into

today's world how she would do it not how some

Chew dude would do it or how some Hollywood producer

would how she would update gem for Today's society

she's all as she told me was nope. I'm not gonna

tell you that at all. I have a plan I know what

it's gonna be I might have asked it again, but

I remember it was in one of the first two that

I originally did with her. And it's one of those

things where it's not even that I want to get

information out there about it. It's not even

that I want her to make it public. I just want

her to tell me, because I want to know what she

would do personally. To have my own self resolving

issue here with how this series ended How if

you had a chance to end the show again Okay,

so we got to go over some stuff here folks just

for a little bit Amy and Nicole had asked me

before we did this what the Season 1 and Season

2 ratings were for the show when we originally

did those recaps. We all gave Season 1 a 4. Season

2, Amy and Nicole gave it a 4 .5 and I gave it

a 4. Stop with the yetis! So you know that's

a challenge right you just challenge us to never

stop saying yeti ever again Oh God I'm losing

control of my show here folks never had me in

the first place anyway um we've had control Nicole

I swear it's the only reference I can make what

I'm controlling you guys are chaos agents Alright

so as I said season 1 we all rated a 4. Season

2 you guys gave it a 4 .5 each and I gave it

a 4. So overall season rating for season 3 of

Gemini Holograms what are you gonna give season

3 Amy? Drum roll. There you go yeah. Okay this

season Although it was already at a disadvantage,

I had some good stuff with it. So I'm giving

it a three. Hmm. OK. Nicole? Oh, let's see. Because

Amy and I are winners here, because that's what

I have written down to as a three. Because, I

mean, there are some high moments. But man, there

were some low ones, too. So it was just like,

evening them out, I'd say straight down the middle

three. There you go. Mm -hmm. I'm pretty much

right there with you guys I'm just gonna take

two points right off the top for not having a

Full pickup and I know that's not the show's

fault But just it just it wasn't long enough

There was if it like I've already said if they

had a 26 episode Season it would have been They

could have had 13 episodes if they had the 26

episodes They could have had 13 one -offs and

13 continuity based things where they could have

spliced them in between and had hey Here's a

gem adventure of the week and oh, here's the

continuing soap opera ish storyline that we've

been doing But sadly we didn't get that we got

the 13 or the 12 or how many we got And yeah,

I can't give it any higher than a three. I mean,

like you guys said, there are some amazing, amazing

moments in season three and some really awesome

songs and some really awesome quotes and lines

and everything else, but it just doesn't hold

up to the previous two seasons. It just, in quality,

and I know it's because it's too short and I

don't want to have to keep blaming that, but

that's really what it comes down to. So we are

gonna take a quick break I'm going to bring Amy

and Nicole up on to speed as to what will be

going on later when we revisit the entire series

We're never gonna finish ever We are back here

on Showtime Synergy, and I want to point out

to everybody that, uh, here's the way it's gonna

go. Actually, as of this episode, you would've

already heard, episode 21, but episode 21 aired

on the 27th of November. This episode will air

on December 4th. If we can get recorded by then,

which we probably can, the... the... the true

bag. What the hell is a true bag? The Polebag

Showtime Synergy Crossover of Gem and the Holograms

issues number seven to nine, which is the viral

story arc, will air December 16th. Episode 23,

the truly outrageous Gem Countdown, where we

list our best and worst songs from the series,

will air on the 18th of December. And again,

depending on release and whatever and recording

and all that stuff, if the comics come out in

time, we will then have... The pull bag Showtime

synergy crossover of gem number 10, which is

Nicole's boyfriend spotlight and the holiday

special This will air December 23rd There will

be a break between episodes 23 and 24 of the

podcast because of the unknown Timetable of when

the gym film will hit media release so there's

gonna be a little bit of a hiatus between episode

23 and the holiday special comic review episode

Because at this point I have no clue when the

gym movie DVD Whatever is supposed to come out

so episode 24 will be the gym film review So

episode 25 will be the truly outrageous finale

in this finale the only thing I have mapped out

at this point I've already told Amy and Nicole

about this we are each going to revisit five

cartoon episodes From each season of gem in the

holograms because we want to see if they deserve

a different grade than what we've already given

them. So that's gonna be part of the Truly Outrageous

finale. Also part of the Truly Outrageous finale

is if anyone sends me any feedback between now

and the time we record episode 25. You've got

plenty of time, folks, because I don't know when

we're gonna be recording episode 25. I really

don't. Like I said, it depends on when the stupid

$2 .4 million movie Budget box office comes out

to DVD or whatever You got plenty of time send
