Sentinel Online, now loading All Things Transformers.

You're listening to All Things Transformers,

version 2 .0. Yes, I'll melt them down and use

them for aluminum siding. Oh, yes indeed Hello

and welcome to all things transformers version

2 .0 episode 18 I'm your host Steve Megatron

Phillips and joining me in this first episode

of 2012 is Df2 and Mike. Holy shit. This show

still exists. Yes It's the longest running show

on GCRN with the least amount of episodes. Well,

I can't I can't say least but There are a few

that made it like a couple episodes and Yeah,

but but yeah, this is it's it's back It's back

and it is back simply because of the awesomeness

that is Transformers Prime season 2. Oh, yeah

So what are you been up to? Um, I'm in this kind

of ties into all things Transformers I'm redoing

Predacon Empire comm which I no longer have the

comm because I didn't want it anymore Just an

extra cost, albeit small, but an extra cost.

I'm folding it into geekcastradio .com as a sub

-site that will be featuring all the Transformers

materials as well as the podcast themselves there

in case you don't want to do anything with Geekcast

Radio, but why wouldn't you? Should you not care

about any of the other topics that just want

transformers, it will be better than TFW in the

sense that TFW is gay. It's a decent news resource,

and that's about it. Well, and when I say that,

I don't mean that in a derogatory way to, yes,

people in general. I'm saying that they're stupid,

they treat people like shit. Yeah, so It'll be

a nice alternative, but yeah, I agree other news

TFW to me is useless I would say news and their

photo galleries depending on who's taking the

photos Yeah, that's about it, but I mean I don't

care for their podcast and I don't care for Other

aspects not that I'm trying to sit here and bash

them, but right even though I have I just don't

like You know, and again, we don't want to turn

this into a TFW bashing. I don't like their forums.

I mean, the only time I've ever, like actually,

when I've tried to post on their forums about

crap, it's gotten deleted. The only time I've

ever really used their forums is when I was selling

my transformer stories a couple years ago. I

would use their buy, sell, trade threads. But

yeah, no, TFW, basically, kiss it. Keep it simple,

stupid. I just use the new stuff. I don't use

the forums. I don't use anything over there as

far as anything else goes. Yeah, I used to be

on the forum, but I just don't care anymore.

Most people actually use something called WordPress

now. Where you can comment with an account that

you already have at some other social media site

And you don't have to register for that site

and hmm. It's not lost in this jumbled mess Yeah,

that's kind of where you know that's kind of

why the the the original forums that were pimped

out here Granted I still have them, but they

aren't used anymore because everybody like and

I kind of get this in I know this is way off

tangent here. It's to the point now that everybody

doesn't want to have to have separate accounts

for everything. It's more convenient to log in

with a social media source and post than to create

an account for 50 billion sites. That's my biggest

problem with any form, not just TFW. oh we're

starting this new forum for this kind of discussion

you should join blah blah blah blah and as you

just said you have you know 10, 12, 50 million

different different forum accounts with most

likely all of them have different passwords probably

I know a lot of mine have different passwords

There are a few that I still visit here and there

to promote Geekcast radio, stuff like that, or

the ones that will allow me to promote it, unlike

TFW, anyway. But no, I found out this past week

when recording a brand new episode of Toycast,

which this is totally Untransformers related,

you are Pat Frilly's son. Not actually For those

getting it confused yes, no Steve Basically broke

out his his craying on the turtles toy talk episode

for toy cast And it was the first time that I

had heard it, and I was like oh wow that's kind

of awesome So, as far as me, I just finished

recording the This Week in Geek five -year anniversary

show. Very awesome to have Dodd, Snowball, and

Double D all reunite to talk about the early

days of Twig, back when I was still a listener.

And we've got Tooncast Beyond's going strong.

What else? MWIRE is coming back. Toycast is going

strong throughout the beginning of the year.

Just a whole bunch of awesome stuff. Cool. So

with that, we'll be right back with the news.

You can now hear the Keycast Radio Network on

Stitcher Smart Radio. Stitcher allows you to

listen to your favorite shows directly from your

iPhone, Android phone, Blackberry or Palm phones.

On demand and on the go. Don't have Stitcher?

Download it for free today using promo code KEYCASTRADIO

at stitcher .com slash keycastradio or in the

app stores. Stitcher Smart Radio, the smarter

way to listen to radio. We're starting with the

Season 2 Orion Pax Part 1, right? Yes. It'll

be the exact same order as what I put it in the

Skype window. Right, and that's the way I've

got it. And I fully expect the Film 1 to be a

bashfest, so... That's why I put it in there

anymore the end. Yeah, that's I always have to

end with a bash fest and then At the end and

the outro we could pimp out like other stuff

though. Yeah, what what are you looking forward

to and all that crap? So, yeah All right, you're

gonna have to cut out this last two three minutes

No, 37 seconds. Okay, so you can go whenever

you're ready Welcome back to all things transformers

Today we are discussing, well, at least starting

out with, the awesomeness that is Transformers

Prime Season 2. Yes! Yes! About damn time, this

thing is coming back on February 18th at 8 .30

p .m. Eastern Time, the true time zone of the

world. Some people in that crappy central time

zone would disagree with you. Or Pacific Standard

Time. That's easy to calculate, though, between

Eastern and Pacific. Central, that... It's not

that hard, it's one hour behind. That's true,

but, uh... It is dumb. Yeah, it's very dumb.

But, yes, uh... Wait, Thras Roamers Prime, Season

2. Yes, and they are coming out with Orion Pax

Part 1. And this preview video is kind of cool.

It shows... Of course the scene that we saw before

of Prime getting the Decepticon symbol stamped

on his arm. You can see Ratchet actually leading

the Autobots. Which is nice, instead of having

like Bumblebee or somebody else. If they put

Bulkhead in charge, they would die. Well, now

to be fair... This Bulkhead is better, I will

agree, but... This Bulkhead is more competent

than the other one. And RC is more of like the

Dinobot loner type role, so. But she kicks ass

though. Oh, she does kick ass. She even scares

the crap out of a, uh, Viacom. Where's Optimus?

You know, it was, it was cool. But yeah, this,

this is definitely gonna start out season two

with a bang. Oh yeah. I said before in the last

episode that we did when we first seen the, the

SDCC trailer. Or the New Yorker, I don't know,

the comic, yeah, I think it was NYCC. The trailer

with Knockout, you know, blowtorching the symbol

onto Optimus's arm. I said then that I don't

know if this is gonna happen. I don't think it

is, but I think it would have been really cool.

If for a while maybe a couple episodes optimus

turned into nemesis prime I You know, I think

that I thought that would have been a really

cool way to take the story I don't think that's

the way that they're going to take the story.

I think that Obviously the other Autobots are

gonna find a way to get optimus's memory back,

you know, it's so but well But no, the trailer

looks awesome. God. I wish I had the hub Yeah,

I don't have the hub either cause and cost me

an extra hundred dollars a month to have the

friggin hub which sucks Yeah, cuz there's not

much on any other channel besides that. So I

Mean I'm saying like as far as like getting all

the digital channels just to get that one station.

It's not worth it for me No, not not not for

me either So I have to do resort to the the bootleg

method and to watch it which hurts ratings But

I mean hell if they put it down in normal channels

where people could you know, have it on basic

cable, then... I mean, if they list the season

two in iTunes, I may just buy the season pass

and just get it through iTunes. You know, that's

another way to help the show legally. It just

depends on what the season two pass price would

be because as of right now, the season one pass

price or the season one complete season one in

there is like... I don't know, 40 bucks? It's

like, really? Or you could watch it on HubWorld.

Yeah, that's true. And I'm almost betting I'm

going to have it on bootleg on Predacon Empire.

I did delete the entire first season for those

wondering because with Shout Factory is coming

out in March for purchase. I love Shout Factory.

I don't want any ill will towards them and I

don't want to hurt their sales. Now if it were

Rhino, I would say fuck them and I'd keep it

out there but being that it's shout I've deleted

all like the Beast Wars, you know and all that

stuff off the site because I want to support

them Yeah, and the thing with season 2 just from

that I mean the promo not not just the action

that happened But the music in it is so awesome

It's it just has an epic grand scale. I don't

see A certain G .I. Joe fan made a disparaging

remark, basically saying that Renegades was so

much better than that god -awful Transformers

Prime stuff. I have to beg to differ. He needs

to be kicked in the nuts is what needs to happen,

stupid Chuck. Well, Prime is far superior as

far as audio quality. some of the voice actors.

I'm not saying anything against the voice actors

that are in Renegades because they are great

voice actors. However, the portrayals in this

are like tenfold. I mean, because you have Walker

and Cullen. I mean, that just tips the scale

right there. And then the animation style I like

a lot better here. There's just a lot more going

on, which is why I can see that they did drop

Renegades over this. Yeah, and I'm sure and and

the only reason why they you know gave renegades

It's it its execution order was because retaliation

is coming. I'm sure after retaliate I mean, it's

the same thing that happened with animated, you

know, the movies came up animated get axed Now

there's no movie for transformers. Thank God

for now, you know, so you they so they can put

their focus on prime But there's a G .I. Joe

movie coming up, so that cartoon has to... They

don't like promoting two different things at

the same time as far as that goes. But yeah,

moving on to the next bit of news, you mentioned

Shout Factory and their press release. There

was actually an original press release that had

the information of... that season one of Transformers

Prime is coming out on DVD and Blu -ray. The

Blu -ray is going to be an exclusive four disc

set that I think... I don't have the actual press

release in front of me. I do. It's a four disc

DVD and also a limited edition Blu -ray set,

which that one features a 96 page IDW graphic

novel. That's what it was. That's what the...

what the exclusive was for the for the blu -ray

was the 96 page graphic novel but as of recently

as of this past week tv shows on dvd .com which

they are amazing gave information on transformers

prime bonus materials revealed for shouts complete

first season dvds and blu -rays i'm just going

to go down the list of special features here

original making of special 15 audio commentaries

from the creative team and voice cast. Yes, you

heard right. 15 audio commentaries. So you have

commentary on 15 out of the 26 episodes. That's

awesome. Yes, that's very awesome. Toy featurette

and season 2 teaser which debuted at New York

Comic Con. Shout's DVD producer for this title,

Brian Ward, has been saying publicly on Twitter

and Shout's official message board how much he

is enjoying putting this release together and

enjoying the episodes in the process. If you

haven't checked out the program yet, then March

6th on home video releases would be a great way

to experience it. Oh yeah, and I cannot wait

to get this. I would have to say, and this is

very tough for me to say, this show is on par

with Beast Wars. This show is second to... Beast

Wars is still number one to me. This is my direct

number two, and then Beast Machines is number

three for me. For me, right now, Prime, Beast

Machines, Beast Wars, that's just my favorites

out of the actual storytelling. As far as overall

loving it, I would say Prime, Beast Wars, G1,

Beast Machines, and then animated. But no, it's

such, such great news to hear. I was hoping that

the news would come out because I know Brian

has tweeted, when he was working on these commentaries,

he was tweeting about Certain people that were

gonna be on the commentaries and I'm like, oh,

I want to know who else is gonna be on the commentaries

So I was kind of hoping that the that the that

the bonus feature would say would say who? but

um You know at the same time I'm I'm perfectly

happy being surprised and and actually hearing

who shows up honestly It would it would just

make It would it would just make the whole release.

I Figure Colin will be in it Yeah But with if

walkers in it The they probably won't do one

together. I don't think they may do one each

Separately like with calling on one episode and

what I cuz you get those two guys together You

can't do an interview with them. You just you

know every 30 minutes you ask them one question

Because and I'm not saying it's a bad thing You

know, it's just one of those things where the

two of them get together they have such stories

that you just wanna hear them talk. I mean, I

know Optimus Solo has said, if we ever get a

interview with Welker, we're just gonna have

him talk to himself in all his different voices,

because that's really all you need. I mean, as

cool as it is to hear those stories from those

guys, really, all you need is Welker to do his

sound effects and animal sounds. I mean, that's

just who and what Welker is. It's just so awesome.

Yes, and and not to mention the box art for this

is simply awesome. Yeah, I Every time shout Factory

has come out with a release They've gone above

and beyond Keeping with the aesthetics and styles

of the DVDs or of the show for the DVD covers.

Yeah You know simply put use Beast Wars use TFG

one. I mean anything like that they've kept It

looking great. I'm like Rhino Not nothing, you

know rhinos weren't weren't bad, but they were

no factory release and shout factory And I know

we get you know Stuff for review sometimes from

them and I'm not just saying it just because

of that I do truly love the work that they put

into it. Yeah It is amazing. It just is you know,

there hasn't been Any set that I've gotten from

shout factory or whether it be for review or

whether I've gone out and bought it there hasn't

been a set that I was disappointed with at all

they they are the premier Cartoon DVD release

company now I know that's not all that they are

they do a bunch of other they do a bunch of live

-action DVDs they do music they do all this other

stuff, but for us as kids of the 80s and 90s,

look at all the Nintendo stuff that they've done.

I mean, they've done all the Nintendo cartoons

pretty much. They've started doing Nickelodeon,

like Hey Dude and stuff like that. And on top

of it, they're at affordable prices. Yeah, exactly.

Their full series sets, they might hit the high

of $80, which isn't a whole hell of a lot, unless

it's a special edition like The Matrix of Leadership.

But, you know, for the most part they end up

going on sale for like 60 bucks for the complete

series for whatever it is or, you know, spend

maximum 30 bucks a season. That's not bad. No,

that's not bad at all. It's very awesome. The

next bit of news for Transformers Prime is that

the Season 2 Episode 1 title and description.

Now this came out before the video. Yeah, it

came out before the video, but basically, Season

2 Episode 1 will be called Orion Packs Part 1.

Megatron manipulates the impaired optimus into

joining the Decepticons. So, yes, I can't wait.

I'm probably... Okay, here's the thing. And I'm

not trying to pimp this out or anything like

that, but... My birthday is February 9th if anyone

wants to get me a season pass if it shows up

in iTunes after February 18th for season 2 of

Transformers Prime make it a birthday present

Nice I want to see season 2 in HD high quality

Before this eventually a season 2 DVD comes out.

I want to be able to watch it each each week

that it that it airs So but yeah, no, I mean

I just can't say enough good things about this

show. Yes, there are little nitpicks, and I'm

sure that, you know, certain people don't like

certain characters and all that and everything

else, but overall, as far as this, not counting

the Beast era, because the Beast era is something

in its own. Out of all the regular, like, robot

to truck to jet, you know, all that, the regular

robot to vehicle cartoons, this is the best one

ever. It just is, hands down. Like I just said,

I'm not counting Beast Era. Out of all the vehicle

ones we've gotten, Transformers Prime is where

it's at. Another nice thing, also the same day,

not to go off on a tangent or anything. They're

going to have an episode of Rescue Bots, which

is their other kiddish Transformers show. Basically

guiding them up towards the more adult stuff.

And then the premiere of the animated movie from

1986 directly after the three -part Transformers

Prime premiere. Sweet. So yeah, that is going

to be awesome. Very awesome. So going on to the

next thing, they have promotional images as well,

which that's a little bit older news, but I still

like the graphics that they have. You so need

to put that in the post. That image. Yeah. Half

of Optimus as himself and half as his Decepticon

self. Yeah. And you have him in the middle and

his Autobots on one side and the Decepticons

on the other. It's great. It is. He's going to

be evil for a little bit. Yep. So, so awesome.

Jumping into toy news. Yes. For the first time,

for the most part. They have Transformers Prime

Optimus Maximus revealed. And at first glance,

both of us were like, what the hell is this?

I saw somebody, it might have been Optibotimus,

I don't know. I don't remember who it was. I

saw somebody on Twitter say it was a combination

of Armada Prime, Optimal Optimus, and a bunch

of other stuff. I don't like this. I don't like

the look of this figure. It's not a high -res

image at all. Someone took a really bad camera

phone shot of a catalog listing or something

like that. So maybe if we see better images,

but I'm sorry. He has eight feet. That's not

cool. This is what it looks like to me. He looks

like he has optimal optimus's legs. Now that's

discounting the fact that... This could be a

combiner optimus like energon optimus Yeah, because

it looks like a cluster just like that as far

as how the the gear attaches to him Also, it

has aspects of the movie in the chest the masterpiece

as the head the In terms of overall ugliness

it looks like You know optimal raped energon

prime raping Cybertron prime and there you go

So it To describe it further though as far as

the the information is concerned. It's rumored

to be between a leader and supreme class sized

figure and will be compatible with cyberverse

figures and play sets and His alternate mode

will be base for the cyber verse figures Yeah,

I Boo to this. Yeah, I don't like this at all

Yes, definitely booted this. Yep. So the next

item up for grabs is the TF United Megatron G2

style. Megatron, what do you think? Epic fail.

Yeah, I've never liked G2. I like the G2 tank

Megatron, the green one, the original one, not

these refurbished versions. Yeah. Do think it's

cool that they do have them, you know paired

with With the Laser Prime Yeah, that is kind

of cool But I could care less. I'd rather if

I'm gonna get a United figure at this point.

I would rather get Rodimus Prime Wow, really?

He kind of looks cool and show accurate. Well,

I mean look it's hot rod, but yeah, it's still

he looks cool over these I have Masterpiece Prime.

I really have no need for a 2 -bit United release

version. Right, yeah. If I was going to get a

new Prime before all the Transformers Prime and

all that, I would have gotten Classics Prime.

Yeah. But I missed that boat a long time ago,

so... Anyhow, moving on to Transformers Prime

toys. Yes. So, we are confirmed that the TFP

toys are going to be at U .S. retail. Mainline

of Transformers Prime toys has shown up at retail

in the United States thanks to one of the newest

2005 board members. Phantom Crow, we now have

confirmation that the rumor Phantom Crow reports

finding the first wave of revealers, deluxes,

and the first wave of powerizers, voyagers. That's

weird. At a local Toys -R -Us in Kansas City,

Missouri. Other sightings have been reported

in California as well. The hunt is on and the

game is afoot. Load your wallets with cash and

get to your local Toys -R -Us. Don't forget,

if you see anything else new from the Transformers

Prime line, make sure to let us know. Blah, blah,

blah. This, to me, is like one of those, hey,

Dark of the Moon is filming in this city. It's

great that they're showing... Don't get me wrong,

it's great that they're showing up in Missouri

and California, but I just don't see this as

viable news, but I don't know. But the fact that

they're showing up is nice. Yeah, the fact that

they're showing up is nice, and then... I love

that picture of the new Prime and Megatron. Yeah,

that was awesome. I am very tempted. Very very

tempted, you know, you're gonna buy it I'm gonna

probably skip prime only because I've got a prime

and I'm a Megatron whore so yeah I'm probably

going to get this Megatron because I've wanted

it since I've seen the original prototype so

You know seeing Voyager optimus the taller optimus

not the deluxe one. I like the robot mode. I

Just don't think that Optimus in the cartoon,

I don't think his vehicle mode translated well

to toy form. Yes it is show accurate, yes it

is this, it is that, but I just don't like the

way that the toy came out in the alt form. The

robot mode is great, but I just don't like the

truck as far as the toy goes. And then sadly,

this is so silly. I know. Bad news reaches us

from our sponsors Big Bad Toy Store and TF Source.

The Transformers Prime first edition toy line

which contains amongst others a very sharp, screen

accurate Optimus Prime and bulkhead plus cliff

jumper with show accurate arm cannons have been

officially cancelled for US distribution. A very

small few made it to Toys R Us along with a partial

release of the line in Asia and Canada. Although

it was always intended to be a limited run line,

it looks now like many pre -orders may simply

not be filled. Big Bad Toy Story began sending

out the following email. We apologize that we

have learned that the Hasbro has cancelled these

Transformers Prime First Edition figures. We

will be listing new TF Prime pre -orders on Wednesday,

February 1st. Some of these may convert to new

listings, and some will be cancelled. We will

email you with updates between now and Wednesday.

TF Source also posted the following on Twitter

and Facebook. Unfortunately, we have some bad

news. We didn't want to call it until Asbro confirmed,

but the rest of the Transformers Prime first

edition series figures will not hit the US. New

Prime preorders will be up next week, blah blah

blah. I guess the line is never gonna see a full

mainstream US release. This is not - Or at least

first edition versions. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, and

see, I never understood why they were doing -

Like, okay, I can understand that the Deluxe

Optimus, the San Diego Comic -Con, the one that

came in the plastic Matrix thingamajig, I can

see why that was called first edition because

it was a Comic -Con exclusive. But... I don't

see why they went with a first edition line when

they could have just released it as, hey, these

are the Transformers Prime toys, you know, brand

new, blah, blah, blah. I don't understand the

marketing behind doing a first edition line if

they're just going to cancel it, you know, three

months, four months, five months after the fact.

Never mind our U .S. people pay ungodly amounts

of money for toys. Oh, yes. Yes, we do. Well,

I don't anymore. Moving on, we're going to get

into a little bit of comics. Cool. Yes, before

going back to toys. Comic book resources have

posted a very insightful interview with one Mr.

Simon Furman, who you should know behind many

of the classic Transformers Marvel Comics as

well as the UK Comics and whatnot. He's returning

to the continuity that started it all, the Marvel

Comics Generation 1 line, this July. The interview

features some art from the upcoming issue 80

.5, which is a free comic book day special titled

Regeneration 1, showing mostly some very cool

flashback montages. You'll spot Jay Axis from

the Generation 2 Origins of Life on Cybertron.

These new pieces of artwork seem to indicate

that Generation 2 as a series is being acknowledged.

As for the interview itself, there's a lot of

teasing of things to come, and quoting from it,

it says, You can expect Soundwave, Ultra Magnus,

Wreckers, Cup, Hot Rod, Circuit Smasher, which

was Circuit Breaker. They must have lost that

copyright. Nebulos, Grimlock, Headmasters, Zero

Space, whoever the hell that is, Nova Point,

whoever the hell that is, Bludgeon, War Worlds,

I remember the War Worlds, GB Blackrock, Ratchet,

Starscream Prime, Megatron Battle, end of all,

Optimus vs Megatron Battles, whatever the hell

that's supposed to mean. But yeah, I loved the

original run, Marvel Comics run. Personally have

not cared for anything that IDW has come out

with other than the Beast Wars line Yeah, I much

preferred Dreamwaves style of art storytelling

and everything else despite the fact that the

guy that owned it was a douchebag But Yeah, this

May actually be something that I'd be interested

of IDW only for the fact that they're publishing

it It's so They're gonna continue it. It says

they're gonna pick it up pick up where it left

off and July's number 81 issue will be moving

the epic of Cybertron towards the cataclysmic

finale and at Transformers number 100 So they're

only gonna go like 20 issues Yeah, which you

know, that's that's fine. That at least puts

a an end cap to the original comic series The

other thing is gonna kind of suck Is the fact

that the art is going to be drastically different

from the 80s version Well, I mean they have evolved

a lot so I mean I can I can understand that but

It's still It's going to be a little bit weird

Yeah, but yeah, I'm hopeful that this does well

because I would much prefer them create go back

to this storytelling line Even though I know

it's going to lead directly into g2. Yeah, I

As a kid and even now I don't think I ever read

a Transformers comic Right now If it is a comic

and a set that I'm interested in I love the BotCon

comics my two favorite BotCon comics are 2008

and 2011 but I mean, this is great for those

who are Transformers Comics fans. It's awesome.

But for me, I just have no interest. Yeah, I

had to unfortunately sell all those comics, so

I have alternative versions on Predacon Empire.

But yeah, I'm very hopeful for this series because

I like it. And yeah, so with that, we'll move.

Into Transformers United toys Yes, which this

I only bring this up because It has a personal

stake for me Being that it's of Beast Wars stuff

But I don't know how that I mean and granted

this is for Japan so I don't know what the hell

they're gonna do for us I don't know what figures

they're using because I had not that up to the

times with the toys, but it appears to me that

they're going to have the Optimus Primal and

Megatron figures again. The ones from the line

a long time ago, except these are more color

accurate. Right. Whereas the other ones were

not and also they're gonna have the axel on and

the arc unicorn Which I thought was kind of interesting

the the axel on Figure it looks like some kind

of a floating shark ship It's it's kind of weird

and then it turns into you can tell like it almost

Amphibian looking prime looking figure so yeah,

it's kind of interesting and then the unicorn

Uh, of course it's colored like the Ark. But

it's still Unicron, so why would they call it

Ark Unicron? Unicron isn't the damn Ark. I don't

know. I don't know. It was just interesting.

So, thought I'd bring it up. Cool. Yeah. Um,

where are we going from here? The Transformers

Autocrasy. or whatever the hell that is. Did

you watch the video on this? Was it the interview

with Victor Karolyi? No. I'll just get to that

next. This is like a comic digital mini -series

12 -part from ITW. And I'm thinking to myself,

why? And it's supposed to take place, it's almost

like War Within. Oh, okay. And it's before Optimus

became Prime and before Megatron became a Conqueror

and that kind of thing. And it's saying that

their enemies were the autocrats. And I'm sitting

here going, why? But I got to give it a little

bit of props being that the people writing it.

I mean, there's Flint Dilley co -writing. Yeah.

So that's a bonus. Then you have some of the

creative minds behind Warcraft Starcraft Diablo

which have great stories Which is why people

keep playing them after they've been out forever

So I mean I got to give it a little bit of props

there, but I'm not so sure how this is gonna

be Being that it's a digital only series Yeah,

cuz I'm not gonna pay 99 cents for a damn digital

comic no I'll bootleg it before I do that. I'd

rather buy a physical comic in front of me. Yup.

Um, good. We'll do the... Gido Gidi... I can't

say his name right. He's the, you know, one of

the comic artists. Granted, this has nothing

to do with anything Transformers except for the

fact that he draws Transformer stuff. It looks

like, because he drew a Neo Seeker... And I thought

it was kind of cool to mention only because it's

kind of got some TF Prime and animated aspects

in there with some like trans tech, but it keeps

them looking enough G1 that you can tell who

they are. Yeah. And I thought that was kind of

neat. I would have liked to have seen this design

as Starscream and Prime. Yeah, it would have

been cool, but I still love the design on Starscream

and Prime, though. Or have these as his as Thundercracker

and Skywarp. Yeah, that could work and then keep

Starscream that way because Starscream is always,

you know Lead seeker so yeah, that would be cool

to see but yeah, that'll never happen But it's

just I thought that was the cool looking animation

So I'll let you get on to the other part of the

news that you were gonna mention a minute ago.

Oh The Victor Karolyi interview that was that

was very interesting to hear or read I'm hoping

we could get an interview with him Honestly,

I I knew the guy was still alive, but I don't

I mean he's got to be up there in age I don't

know if he could still do You know on Meanwhile

on you know his his his narrator voice. I'm not

sure But it is very interesting that that they

interviewed him yes, and it's a John 3 .0, which

It's paying to do voice acting he does YouTube

reviews and He's in the Beast Wars Darkglass

video that we're working on so So yeah, that's

kind of cool that he got Victor Carolee. Yeah,

very awesome And we already mentioned Transformers

the movie coming on the hub yeah, we're gonna

move on to the shit fest of Movie garbage do

we have to yes only because I like to hear you

squirm Well before we get to that I do have to

talk about something that is slightly more awesome.

The TFCC magazine number 43 will be coming out

soon. I wish I could get this because I would

love to, but I think it's only if you're a member

of the club, which sucks. But the cover is because

it's all, this happened, this magazine is all

about I guess the previous year, so it's all

about the animated Stuntacon set and it features

the animated AllSpark Almanac addendum from Jim

Sorensen and Bill Forster. Also includes a interview

with LeVar Burton, who is a voice in the new

Transformers Rescue Bots cartoon. So I would

love to have this magazine. If anyone wants to

give me their copy after they're done reading

it. Just send me an email. Or scan me the first

time deleted scene from the 86 movie that was

illustrated in the comic form in this. Yeah.

I must have this. I must have this now, but I

don't want to pay the $80 or however much it

is. It's 40 bucks a year. Oh, OK. Well, it's

not that bad. And you get a comic, or you get

one of those magazines every other month and

a free toy every year. So it's not that bad.

Yeah, that's not that bad. It's usually a crap

toy, but yeah, whatever. Transformers Prime the

Ride, the General Morshauer, that's such Morshauer,

that's such a dumb name, Tactical Maneuvers versus

Decepticons. They're trying to hype it up, the

grand opening at Universal Studios in Hollywood.

They've updated their website, prepareforbattle

.com. In this update, we get an important message

about killing Decepticons from General Morshauer,

the guy that was in the first movie and died,

and then was in the second two movies as a different

character. Go figure! But, um... But yeah, so...

I could see trying to, you know, pump up the

game, or the ride. I would do the ride if I got

to go out there. Yeah, see, that's the problem.

It's out in friggin' California. Nobody's gonna

go out there just to be on Transformers the ride.

Put it in Florida, dammit. I'd rather drive to

Florida. Yeah. I mean, you know... I don't know.

Just... Meh. Meh. But, yeah, it's kind of cool

for that, but... the the true shit fest of transformers

news yeah uh dark of the moon ultimate edition

bonus clip do we really need to know who the

hell cares about bonus clips this shit's done

quit milking it fucking george lucas knockoff

And then the final bit of movie news is, uh,

Dark of the Moon is nominated for three Academy

Awards. It is nominated for sound editing alongside

Drive, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Hugo,

and War Horse. Sound mixing alongside The Girl

with the Dragon Tattoo, Hugo, Moneyball, and

War Horse. And what is probably surprising to

no one in the movie is also a free visual effects

award going up against Harry Potter and the Deathly

Hallows Part 2. Hugo, Real Steel, and Rise of

the Planet of the Apes. Notice none of the rewards

are for acting. Exactly. Well, I seriously doubt

you can give, you know, a wooden stick with a

piece of paper on it, an Academy Award. You could.

It's called... A lapino and a stick. And I guess

to kind of cap off this week's news or this episode's

news, we've got some convention stuff. Let's

see. The Collector Club magazine already mentioned

that. Primary schedule for BotCon has been revealed.

Let's see. BotCon .com has updated their website

with preliminary schedule as well as contest

guidelines for BotCon 2012. Keep in mind the

schedule is preliminary. Much more will be added

to it as they solidify details. Looking at this,

let's see, we've got on Wednesday night, if you're

there on Wednesday, we've got Dallas Tour at

7 .45 a .m. Golden Ticket Pickup at 8 .30 p .m.

Early Registration Pickup. Let's see. Transformers

customizing classes 9 a .m. on the Thursday Yeah,

and again this schedule we shouldn't really even

talk about this because They haven't even announced

any of this year's guests No, but it's and I

find it interesting it's a five -day thing so

Lord knows how much this is gonna cost Well,

yeah, it's $20 per day go figure Good lord. But

um, yeah. I would be interested to go to BotCon.

However, for how much it costs for everything,

I'll pass. I'll go to TFCon before doing that.

Yeah. And then the final - Considering this is

from Texas. Well, you know. I don't care where

it is. What really gets my goat is the themes.

2006 was Beast Wars. And 2006 was actually an

hour and a half away from where I live. It was

in Lexington, Kentucky. I would have loved to

have gone to see that. 2007 was Games of Deception,

which I think that was G1 inspired because they

had a whole bunch of Seekers and everything else.

2008 with Shattered Glass, that was in Cincinnati.

Again, an hour and a half away from where I live.

I would have loved to go onto that. 2009 was...

Oh God, the G2 redux or whatever it was and didn't

care for that. 2010, I don't even remember what

2010 was. God, what was 2010? And then last year,

2011, was the animated stuff. And if I had the

extra money to fly out to California, plus the

money to actually attend BotCon, I would have

really enjoyed that convention last year. This

year, I don't like the set. I don't like the

theme that they're using. The way I view BotCon,

it isn't two -fold. If I like the theme of the

actual set and the theme of the overall convention

and... you know who's gonna be there for guests

i mean if i just went there say saturday and

sunday is you know open and you know as general

admission and get to meet you know peter cullen

or whoever shows up you know that would be awesome

in itself but to have the full botcon experience

for me you know adding it all up depending on

where it is and flying times and costs and everything

else I've always said that it would probably

be a $2 ,000 cost. But the set this year just

doesn't impress me. They are basically running

Shatterglass into the ground and I hate them

for that. I just don't care. I'm excited to see

what news comes out of BotCon as far as reveals

and stuff. Oh yeah. I just don't care about the

convention this year. Nope. Totally agree. Yep.

And then the last bit of news for conventions

is that the dealer registration is now available

for TFCon 2012. Now TFCon, that's something I

would love to go to. I'm hoping I can save up

enough money to go. I want to go with something

terrible to TFCon, but it also depends on the

guests and the theme. Not that I'm going to really

buy any toys. I just want the awesomeness that

I've seen. on YouTube, unfortunately, is of all

places that I have to watch it. But I definitely

give kudos to them, and I like what they're doing

there. It's a lot smaller, so it's a lot nicer

than... Because you can just tell BotCon's a

lot of clicks going on. Well, BotCon isn't even

that... BotCon is mainstream market. BotCon is,

you know... that glitzy glamory hollywood premier

type of thing where it's all about promotion

it's all about making money it's not real you

can have your different clicks about on you can

have your different sets of friends about on

the tf comments like everyone hangs out doesn't

matter doesn't matter if you're from tfw doesn't

matter if you're from cybertron doesn't matter

if you're from all spark doesn't matter if you're

from whatever everyone hangs out and tf con this

year will be july twenty eight and twenty ninth

twenty twelve So with that, we will go to commercial

and then come back with things we're looking

forward to in Transformers. All things Transformers,

we'll be back after these messages. Is this thing

on? Oh goody, why hello there. It's your deviled

uncle Joker here. I bet you're asking yourself...

Can I say something about Transformers? No! You

are listening to all things Transformers. Maximals,

maximize! Ah, yes, the top. So the next part

is, since we're back from our nice commercial

break there, what are you looking forward to

in the Transformers saga this week or month?

Season two transformers prime. Yes me too I definitely

can't wait to see that because I'm gonna play

the hell out of that once I get it And of course

review it, but I'm I've definitely definitely

looking forward to that Yeah, season two is gonna

be awesome That's pretty much it for me. I mean,

we really only did this episode of ATTF today

because all this news had popped up, all the

Transformers Prime news popped up. I'm still

not as invested in the Transformers fandom as

I once was. I'm not totally burnt out on it,

but to quote Shredder, in smaller doses through

future mutants. it's just one of those things

where, like we've said before, me specifically,

I don't know about you, but me specifically,

I'm moving on to other fandoms that I like. I

still love the Transformers, I still love everything

that we've gotten so far. I'm super excited for

Transformers Prime Season 2, but that's really

it. There isn't a plethora of Transformers news

right now that is worth reporting. Again, it

goes back to, it's not a movie year. We don't

know when the next movie year will be, depending

on how many dump trucks of money they plop on

Michael Bay's lawn. Get off my lawn, unless you've

got money in it. What about you? What are you

looking forward to for Transformers? Of course,

I'm looking forward to season 2's premiere. I

cannot wait for that I That's just one of the

highlights of of the show is the fact that it

has me actually wanting to watch it Which with

animated I could give or take on episodes I mean

granted I like some of them, but I couldn't care

less if I missed one Whereas here You have to

watch I have to watch I have to watch every episode

It's like one of those regular daytime TV shows

that you watch, you know during during the primetime

hours Yeah, that you just have to catch every

single week. So this is this will definitely

be one of those and then of course the TF prime

on DVD I can't wait. Yes That's going to be awesome

when that releases on March 6th, yes. Yes, I

can't wait. I want it badly. I will watch it

and the interviews. So yeah, that and I'm looking

forward to the Transformers Prime figure of Megatron,

which I'm going to try and figure out some way

of finagling it so that I can get that. Yes.

So with that, I guess we should wrap this biatch

up. Yep. If you'd like to leave feedback on the
