Can you believe it, folks? I am, of course, TFG1
Mike. Joining me is Ryan the Uneven Flo Merkley.
Hello, sir. Yo. We are continuing on with the
Transformers spotlights here in Autobot Liagos.
This is going to be part three which includes
Blaster, RC, Grimlock, Blaster RC, Mirage Grimlock,
and Wheelie, Spade's favorite character. So mean
to him. He didn't even talk to me anymore. Like,
at this point I just want to, you know, I wish
YouTube had a thing where you could post videos
on other people's channels. Like, like a... thing
whatever like like essentially like a tweet kind
of a thing whatever anyway uh so yeah we're continuing
on with the spotlights and this batch they're
more individualized than the last batch was i
mean i'm sure you'll tell me because you know
more about this part of the history than i do
like where things come in and where things start
and stop and yada yada yada but i don't know
some like the mirage ones and we'll get to that
obviously That feels like a complete one -shot
to me. It is, yeah, it's an alternate universe
sort of tale. Right, yeah. There's a very...
The only two that kind of tie in really at all,
it's Grimlock, and surprisingly enough, Wheelie
kind of ties in eventually too. But there's not
a lot of other overlap. RC is somewhat important
to the... early sort of Furman days as in the
Shun series, but is not important later on as
Just as she she's changed as a character later
on she's still fearsome a warrior and it's assassin,
but she kind of gets a Little bit more mellowed
out a lot more depth anyway. Yeah, we'll talk
about when we actually get to it So yeah, we're
so we open with plaster yes blaster i gotta say
this might be my favorite of the bunch i'm just
gonna get it out of the way now partially because
blaster's never been given too much personality
with the exception of the old g1 comics like
even in the show he was kind of foam loving he
liked music that kind of thing but i don't know
that we ever learned an awful lot about him other
than that yeah i like this he's kind of a voice
for the resistance he is Don't know how to put
it. He's not It's not sort of propaganda But
he just kind of reports on things. It's like
it. He's not it's like it says in the comic He's
a he's a rallying cry for the truth. Yeah for
people the Autobots and all that and everything
else like hey, let's let's go get them Let's
you know never surrender, you know that you know
that kind of thing And obviously it's still the
music slash DJ kind of thing. Like you said the
voice My first thought after reading this was
number one. I Wish this was a little bit more.
Yeah, I wish that there was like more of like
Blaster verse not necessarily blaster versus
sound wave in this but like a little bit more
preamble as to obviously other than the fact
that they're Autobot Decepticon communicator
You know former cassette deck kind of thing in
g1 cartoon whatever because obviously they're
not they can't be cassette decks here But I wish
there was a little bit more to them in this.
Obviously still shining the spotlight on him.
The antagonist ends up being bombshell rather
than Soundwave or any of the others. Really liked
the cameos. We see different characters listening
to blasters broadcast everyone from in night
beat to Silver Bowl to you know, whoever Although
you know, there's one shot of it's getaway sitting
beside cop and of course nowadays all I can Think
of is damn it cop just shoot him in the head.
Say so many problems later on Yeah, I love the
scene where everybody's listening to Blaster,
you know, in various shots and things like that.
I was not expecting the whole bombshell thing
at all. I love Blaster versus Beachcomber. Because
you think about Beachcomber and what we know
about him, at least in the G1 cartoon aspect,
like he's always been the pacifist, he's always
been this, he's always been that. But... Yeah,
again, I know this is a focus on blaster, but
how can you have a focus on blaster not? Really
do anything with the cassettes Like they're almost
not even here. It was okay with that I Understand
why also the cassettes have the cassettes in
IDW verse are very different obviously rewind
is the most prominent in all of Well, right.
Right, yeah. I understand he's not gonna be here,
but I mean, at least Steeljaw and Ramhorn. I
don't remember if they show up. I'm pretty sure
they don't show up here. I don't know if they
show up in... Yeah, Grand Slam and Raindance
are reporters. We see them a fair amount much
later on. I can't remember. Yeah, Steeljaw and
Ramhorn showing up. Obviously Rewind Eject shows
up a couple times, but it's pretty rare. Yeah.
And Rewind's starring character later on. Anyway,
but yeah, Blaster ends up on The Lost Delight,
but there's never a focus on him again. Yep.
He's just kind of a background character, and
it's pretty rare. So also because of that, I
really liked this. This is another one of those
that it shows why the spotlights were a good
idea. And... Honestly, going forward, if IDW
wanted to go back and do spotlights on some of
the characters in that previous universe, this
is an example of how you could do it. Because,
I mean, there's so many Transformers. There's
hundreds of characters in the Transformers universe
and so many that just because there's so many,
there's not enough time to tell stories with
them. So they could always fill in the blanks,
that kind of thing, if they wanted to. And as
for the new universe, they should seriously consider
it as well. I think it'd be something to help
out there. Yeah, I'm still on the old universe
at this point. I'm not even like I've tried reading
like I think I think I bought the first two issues
of the new universe and I'm like Okay, it's character
building. It's anyway, it's another podcast another
day ten years from now Yeah, someday. I've got
enough of the first arc, slash the entire first
arc, and I've read it. We'll talk about it someday.
Someday. So there's a scene in here where it's
Blaster versus Beachcomber, where Blaster transforms
and he says, I've never been the type to go quietly.
I gotta say, out of all the alternate modes that
Blaster and Soundwave have ever had, besides
their original boombox, cassette player, whatever,
they incorporate the whole radio, DJ, sound kind
of thing really cool in any of the other alternate
modes. I love this page where he's basically
Sonic booming Beachcomber. It's kind of like
a sound tank. His alt mode looks a little bit
like Tarn, only instead of the two big fusion
cannons, they're huge sound cannons, sonic cannons,
whatever you want to call them. Or Beachcomber.
He looks like a Autobot version of a sweep in
his alt mode here, or he looks like a really,
really, really bad third -party Xbox controller.
I thought you were going to say poor Beachcomber,
because he essentially ends up lobotomized in
the end. I mean, yeah, I feel bad for the guy,
but his alt mode... He gets better, at least.
Yeah. Don't get me wrong. I feel bad for the
guy, but I'm sorry. His alt mode in that one
shot against Blaster just didn't... look like
whatever so we get the story of as you mentioned
earlier how soundwave basically had bombshell
implanted into beachcomber and that's how beachcomber
is you know the bad guy why he's trying to kill
blaster yeah yeah um i like that they again and
you've mentioned it could have been longer so
essentially it's a murder mystery too that somebody
tried to kill blaster uh they failed so apparently
they're not real good at Murder but Yeah, it
turns out it had to have been in Autobots and
etc. Etc. So I also like that. It would have
been nicer It could have been longer Yeah, and
in terms of who done it we don't see a lot of
mysteries in the Transformers universe. I feel
like the best one was Anyone featured nightbeat.
No, actually the best one was the Dinobots series.
Yep, where it's eventually You were and I don't
want to give it away or did we talk about it?
We talked about at some point, but yeah Salvation
redemption and yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So anyway sandstorms
Ends up being the murderer in that series. Yeah,
it was well done. There's a lot of It could have
been the Dinobots, you know optimus go to melt
by accusing them etc. Etc Anyway, yeah, there's
just so many transformers characters. It's another
thing. I wish they'd kind of do or of So even
though we didn't get to it, and I'm not gonna
go back to it now blaster did have an introductory
page some of these ones do and some don't which
I find Kind of like I like the introductory page
like with with RC here mad bad and dangerous
to know that's RC Autobot by allegiance, but
just totally out of control an untameable unrestrained
force of nature with tactics and ethics that
would put many a Decepticon to shame. Having
waged a...betriolic war against a perceived enemy
for many years, RC was finally brought to task
and incarcerated. Driven by personal demons and
a severe mental trauma, RC is now considered
just too dangerous to ever be let loose. But
sometimes desperate times call for desperate
measures. I love when they do that I kind of
like it more when they end up on like What the
character name like with blaster at the end of
his it's like this is Blaster or something, but
I kind of miss that I wish they would do that
more and like you said I wish they would kind
of go back to the spotlight stuff and Do other
things or whatever yeah? Furman is again Simon
Furman again on this art is done by Alex Milne
colors by Josh Perez and What? I'm just chuckling
because man, this is the doghouse issue for everybody
So and Chris Carter, we're just stars Yeah So
the best thing to do for anyone who hasn't listened
to the podcast I did with Jen Joviev and Amy
and Hear Jen's thoughts about this It is not
offensive to her, but there's an awful lot of
people that... Ooh, this issue has not aged all
that well. No, it has not. And I'll be blunt
about it. So the ad issue here is... Not intentionally,
I believe, but Arcee is depicted as... mentally
uns... stable slash angry all the time because
of a forced transition into a female transformer
And Yeah, yeah long story short this essentially
got retconned with a couple lines much later
on in the comics into something that Everybody
could be happier with but at the time It's I
understand what they were trying to do and I'm
not from this point on going to talk about Social
impact of it or anything like that It's just
something that hasn't aged. Well, yeah, that's
all I would say about it. And after that, yeah
Obviously to the company. Yeah the also the fair
I'm not the person to talk about this right since
you know, I am straight white male and every
comic in history is aimed at me pretty much so
yeah we are so not the people and I wanted other
I actually wanted Jen to come on to do this but
I never actually asked her and again my well
it was a scheduling whatever it's one of those
things where my original idea for the spotlights
was to have whomever liked the character best
on that individual one so as I said in April
this year Ryan would be on Nightbeat, and somebody
else would be on Hot Rod, and somebody else would
be on Optimus Prime, or Ryan Pax, or whatever.
Kind of a thing. And I had listened to the 13
years of IDW episode that you mentioned, and
it will be linked in the show notes. That's because
you had to edit it. Still listen, I still wanted
to hear it either way whether I had to edit it
or not And I listened to it like I'll be re listening
to this Probably maybe I don't know. Oh you poor
soul. Yeah. I know right Hey, there have been
times where I put 20 hours into an edit job and
people just don't don't respect the time and
the effort and the lack of money that I get paid
But I'm here because I enjoy it folks. I Will
have to I do have to say though Really dug ultra
Magnus's design in this like I know obviously
he's not you know, whatever he's not the focus
but Really really dig it. I think it's really
really cool with Alex and Josh and everybody
Yeah, two of the things Milne's always been good
at Is really good character designs and then
picking his bosses really poorly so he's I couldn't
go the entire episode without a dig. Anywho,
god dammit Alex, why? So the story here ties
in to, so they open with, you mentioned Magnus,
he's the one that captures R .C., and she ends
up incarcerated at Garrus 9, where pretty much
every major character ends up at some point,
seemingly, in the Transformers universe. Just
because that's where Overlord happens to go back
in what, in my opinion, kicks off the final phase
of More Than Meets the Eye and RID and all of
the fantastic, amazing stuff IDW did, anywho.
But in here, the warden is Fort Max. Jetfire
is kind of hanging out. so RC gets sent there
there's a jailbreak whatever you want to call
it of also incarcerated there because again this
is apparently the only prison even though it's
number nine also incarcerated there are each
of the pieces of monstructor as well as bludgeon
who ends up escaping in this as well too basically
all the g -axis's boys get busted out and In
the end, you know max not wanting everybody to
just escape freeze RC And she just starts Killing
transformers. Yep. Yep. I Love the art. Yeah,
I really do It's awesome. Awesome art. However
the story Ever since listening to that podcast.
It just it's even as a white male white straight
male. It's super uncomfortable now For me to
read this specifically for RC's part in her own
spotlight. I think oh wow, it's also It's not
a great start to a character that ended up in
a very different place. Yeah her arc in the back
half of the Transformers universe from IDW so
our ID into Optimus Prime was Be well done. It's
very sort of gradual and she's changed if she
is I think we talked about it too in that review.
She is one of the best Complex long form arcs
that they did and she's just in a completely
different place in this yes you and I think that
also makes it a little tough to read just because
There's that and she's not the same character
we kind of got used to And her growth and everything
else was just it was one of the best parts of
that back end which Is almost shoot. I don't
know how to say this properly I don't it wasn't
intentional, but she's almost kind of one note
in the early stuff. It's just I want to kill
Jack Yeah, and that is the extent of her existence
to later on it being revealed. She was a twin
of Galvatron to All the stuff with aileron and
just it's crazy what she goes through her allegiance
to Prowl to Her kind of suspecting there was
something up with him to It was just really well
done. And so it's kind of weird to go back To
her as essentially one note not super interesting
character. I think again as we mentioned back
in April about the spotlights you know a spotlight
on it you know it's like you know a day in the
life of and I think her spotlight while social
justicely motivated maybe I'm saying that incorrectly
but like certain parts of it are but like it's
her in a different snapshot Just socially motivated.
It's not it's not it's not just it is now it
wasn't then It just I don't know it's kind of
It's it's one of those things we're looking back
on it now because of everything that's happened
since that issue It's like hmm Wow, I think in
terms of I think in terms of that it has an age
12. Yeah To be blunt, in terms of how much better
she is as a character, how much better she's
written later on, it hasn't aged well either.
It just kind of falls flat. And I'd argue the
next issue. Oh, what? Really? In your order?
I got Grimlock next. So I'm sitting here with
the physical trade, in case anybody is wondering.
The order on the physical trade, by the way,
is... Blaster, RC, Grimmy, then Mirage, and then
Wheelie say find interesting, surprisingly interesting
story today. Grimlock, okay. That was a terrible
attempt. Took me so long to figure it out there.
This is why I'm not a rapper. So Grimlock. Grimlock
ties in really heavily to the Shun stuff. Most
notably the machination storylines with Scorponok
being in charge of, well, the machination as
a headmaster. It ties in heavily with Shockwave
because we see him brought back or brought out
of the burial at the end of Shockwave and being
reactivated from that. IDW Grimlock never really
did it for me. I don't think I was exposed to
him enough. Like, I mean, yeah, I didn't read
the early stuff. I started with Death and went
to RID and MECI and all that. But like, I always
felt like his story, because I hadn't read the
early stuff, early stuff was, you know, more
of a mystery to me. And I still want to know,
and I don't... Thanks, Simon. Furman will ever
hear this. I still want to know why he spells
it D -Y instead of D -I with the Dinobots, unless
it was a copyright thing. No, because I just
always assumed it's because it didn't make sense
for them to be Dinobots on Cybertron, because
they weren't dinosaurs. Anywho. Uh, I don't know.
Grimlock is again... Again, I feel like this
is just tougher to go back to the Dinobot trilogy
is kind of the I don't know and this is saying
something because the old UK and US Marvel G1
comics Featured Grimlock heavily and did a good
job with the Dinobots overall But I don't know
that there's been a better Dinobot story in the
trilogy Barbara did. Yeah, that has been the
best, I think. And if you had told me that slug,
that slag, slug, whatever you want to call him,
would be possibly the most interesting Dinobot,
I would have said you were nuts. But holy cow,
he found a way. As a future owner, whatever.
It was really, really good. Again, I'm going
into the other books. Slag's growth as a character,
too. He's one of the best. He could never let
go of his hate for the Decepticons. He could
never forget all of the terrible things he did
in the war. He is the opposite of RC. RC was
able to grow past the fact she was used as a
weapon by the Autobots. And he wasn't. Never
did and in the end it literally consumed him
And it just yeah, I don't know it So this so
going back to grim yeah, no good this book eventually
ends up being Grimlock versus Scorponok Yep,
I like the art I think I like the art more when
Grimlock is in Tyrannosaurus Rex mode than anything
else Yeah, I don't know what it is. I was never
big on the whole teeth on the side of his mask
Yeah, that's just in robot form. I thought that
was odd. Hey, that's a personal Reference, but
yeah, it just seemed odd. I mean there's a page
in here Murray says enough contemplation it's
just not in my nature to look back and It's a
picture of him his face. He's In the way the
art is drawn and colored, he's yellow and his
face is purple and I'm like, is that Grimlock
or is that a Decepticon? I don't know. Like,
it's just strange to me. But it's a reasonably
interesting story with Grimlock completely outclassed
by Scorpion as a headmaster now. Yup. I don't
know, it leads into... Oh boy. Yeah, it leads
into the Dinobot finale again, which serves as
the end or coda or whatever you want to call
it of Furman's Shun series at the end. So without
that, it doesn't function as well. So this is
one of those spotlights that there's focus on
one or in this case, two characters, but it's
super arc driven. Yeah. And it almost Becomes
essential reading for the other series. So I'm
not sure this is one that I'm not sure it enhances
the characters I Don't think it does as much
as the others. It's just more of a story to kind
of move it forward Yeah, and then when you put
it in a trade It was something like blaster,
which was very much a spotlight on a particular
character or wheelie And it's just kind of there
Yeah, I think it's yeah, if you're a big fan
of Grimlock, which I am you'll still kind of
enjoy it but I Don't know. It's just kind of
there Yeah, I mean I like Grimlock. I've always
liked Grimlock. I've always liked the Dinobots
but Grimlock in IDW as you said earlier, it's
just The one note I wrote about it is that I
thought it was interesting as I was reading it.
The art is cool in certain places, but it's not
my favorite spotlight. It just isn't. Um, I don't
know. Mirage has, um, the, uh, of course it comes
from a different character, but his spotlight
has, um, the single greatest line in Transformers
comic history at this point. You rust -hearted
son of a glitch! I'm sure there are other better
lines, but I really did dig that. What about
Springer's spawn of a glitch? There's that, too.
The Mirage story does not have a character bio
thing, because guess what? This is not written
by Simon Furman. This is written by George Stratton?
The art is done by Guido Guidi. The colors are
done by Josh Bircham. Letters by Chris Mowry.
Edits by Andrew Stephen Harris. So again, very
beginning of IDW kind of thing. So question here.
Yes. I'm assuming you're on the digital book.
So in fact, Mirage does have an opening. Why
would they leave that out? Just read it, please.
As an Autobot, Mirage has always questioned his
elite. Chances and his decision to sign against
Megatron and the Decepticons, but what if circumstances
gave him the opportunity to reconsider? Could
he change shields as easily? He changes appearances
and which choice would be reality and which one
the illusion I think I remember reading that
because I think this was the very first spotlight
I read in physical form years and years and years
ago back in 2013 and I started buying physical
comics. But yeah, this is basically an alternate,
you know, timeline, storyline kind of thing,
an alternate reality story. Dream of Mirage.
Yeah, Mirage Dream. Whatever you want to call
it, yeah. Yeah, and I thought this was cool.
I thought this was really cool. I love the juxtaposition
of the beginning and the end. I love... Love
the way optimus bumblebee and the rest of the
Autobots look I Mean again taking mirage and
putting him as a decepticon. I thought that was
cool. It's very different and yeah, it kind of
Her Pins back to Mirage's actual sort of g1 thing
where he was a spy mm -hmm yep, and so he kind
of Was able to play both sides with his abilities
be it just the invisibility or whatever and yeah,
this is This is really it's one of the standout
spotlights. It stays with you a bit too Mostly
because we're not used to seeing the Autobots
or the main crew Even though it's alternate universe
get cut down pretty rapidly Yeah, cuz bumblebee
comes in and just starts shooting everybody.
Oh wait, that's mirage Yeah, I I love this it's
very very g1 ask in the art No character looks
off model or anything like that mirage has a
slightly different look than he did in the cartoon
series But again, this is comics. I'm not expecting
Complete cartoon accuracy obviously so But yeah,
so they basically go in and kill all the Autobots,
or at least most of them. Yeah, this was... I
don't know, Mirage helps infiltrate the last
sort of stronghold and the last few Autobots.
Optimus, in an attempt to save Jetfire, surrenders
himself, but yeah, it's just... It's very different
and I enjoyed this. I have a whole lot to say
about it, but everything kind of worked. It's
another example of it gives you some insights
into the character in this IDW universe while
not requiring other reading and it just shows
you a bit about the character that we don't get
to see in the main line. I feel like that's was
sort of the intention with these. Yeah, it works
really well. Yeah, it does. Again, you're telling
an alternate story where is he a Decepticon?
Is he an Autobot kind of thing? Very, very cool.
Very, very interesting. You're seeing, you know,
different sides of the same character, two sides
at the same point, whatever. He still has the
basic like, hey, just wanted the credit after
you know he surrendered that was it and then
Megatron's like no kill them if you want your
payment obviously you know at least in the end
he turned out to be a good guy well not really
killed hound no true wasn't that good geez for
hound wait kills hound and then it wasn't that
he was a good guy he just hesitated a bit and
then optimus kills him in the in his dream world
I like Mirage. I think Mirage is a nice little...
It's another really good one here, and it reminds
me a lot of Blaster. It doesn't require a lot
of reading. You get a sense of who the character
is. And he doesn't show up to do an off a lot
later either. Oddly enough, there's somebody
who does show up a fair amount in Wheely. Also,
if you told me Wheely would have a good spotlight,
I would have said you were nuts. This is entertaining,
so... Yeah, it's very entertaining. And I have
to say... I have to say, I wish I would have
known about before I had the art made up for
this episode. I wish I had known about the cover
where it's like wheelie, you know, Cybertronian
advisory CD, wheelie for life. Like, I wish I
had known about that because I would have had
that thrown in the art for the banner for the
episode. That's hilarious. Again, on digital...
This is one that does not have Wow. Yeah, it
does Yeah, that is weird those are weird choices
also wheelie gets the his name wheel anything
Easygoing quick -witted and eager to please he's
the bot with a joke and a smile for every occasion
his primary role to provide technical support
for the Autobot warrior release But his light
-hearted facade masks a deep abiding desire to
be taken seriously, to be given responsibility,
to be more than just a glorified gopher. But
the only one who really thinks he has what it
takes is him. His name, Wheelie. Yeah, I wish
they would have put that in Wheelie's speak.
No, no, no. So, quick run. Yeah, I don't know
what happens in this I've done a bad job summarizing
the other ones But anyway, I may as well do one
of them right really gets trapped on a planet
because the scout ship Fails the Autobot army
as we'll see in other issues and other things
going on or just kind of too busy to go find
them You know with a big war and everything else
on Luckily gets found later on but couple notes
here First of all, they explain why we really
talks in rhyme. It's essentially just because
he's on the planet for so long Where people run?
I'm right next we get to see reflector for basically
the one of the few times in the IDW first as
well as Oh boy, does this get retconned and changed
later on with how reflector gets there? despite
being or appearing in other Or IDW books Barber
John Barber aka master of fixing storyline problems
and so Helping or ends up kind of fixing all
of the continuity errors That was a cute touch
later on but in any case It's kind of neat it's
again kind of it's sort of a one -off eventually
wheelie shows up again, but it's not super important
Yeah, this story. Yeah, this to me felt like
what the cup once the cup spotlight was like
It's an adventure on your own kind of thing Not
necessarily a choose your own adventure, but
it's an adventure on your own You still have
an Autobot versus a Decepticon with wheelie versus
reflector now Reflector I think spyglass viewfinder
and Spectro Spectro. Viewfinder's dead, so he
doesn't get too much. Well, yes, Viewfinder is...
Spectro and Spyglass are fine, anyway. I'm saying,
though, I think that they would benefit from
a spotlight or something. That would be really
cool. They're basically never forgiven any characterization
ever. This is one of the few times they even
get dialogue in the Transformers universe. It's
true, though. That's sad. Anyway, I like there's
a couple things here or other references to there
is, of course, really attempting the universal
greeting and getting his arm chewed off. But
it was a cute reference. Yeah. I like his internal
monologue in the first chunk of this. And then,
of course, later on, when he makes friends, he's
got to learn how to rhyme because they don't
understand anything else. This is good. And by
the way, it ends with a shot of a mural of the
Quinnaissons, which is never followed up on.
But oh well. That's what I thought that was.
And I'm like, hey. Yeah. They never really show
up. That sucks. Oh well. Yeah, oh well. I love
the, uh, the syntax error. I'm like, oh god,
I remember that. Yeah, when we leave that line
properly. Yeah, exactly. From, I remember that
from old, uh, the Apple II computer line several
times. Yeah, this was a fun little story. Uh,
it was a fun little thing where you could just
look back, um, on this character and have this
adventure with him. Should be noted too, so that
oh go ahead. Well the interesting thing about
this Issue, I don't know if it's in the print
issue, but in the back of it. It has the wheelie
sketchbook Yes front of it. It has Something
it has like I don't know some other story that
isn't the wheelie story and then at the very
end it has one little panel from Matt Moylan's
little formers So really tell how dated this
issue is how old it is from these, yeah. I wanted
to know too, the art on Wheely, the sort of,
it's hard to describe, if you want, if you're
listening to this, just check it out online.
The art and colors were done by Klaus Szerwinski,
and holy cow, I wish he had done more Transformers
stuff. I actually, I really like the kind of,
and some, The color assist was by Josh Birch
on but I really like the kind of gritty Yet it's
hard to describe it's a It's a lot like some
of the other transformers are but there's a weird
amount of like grit and kind of darker Colors
and more of a green It's inched everything. Yeah,
I swear. I actually really like it. Yeah, it
very much does work Well, you're probably gonna
kill me for this but oh geez I gotta, even though
I've never seen the actual film, I've seen trailers
for it, I've seen posters for it, I've seen other
homages to it, the art design has a real Mad
Max Fury Road feeling to it. Watch the damn movie.
Watch it. Watch it every day. Like that one shot
of Wheely just walking in the desert, I'm like...
Wow, even if you've ever seen any of the other
movies and or Aren't the fan of them or the setting
watch the movie? Watch it watch it watch it.
I still watch it once every month still Seriously,
it is rapidly. Yes. It is rapidly climbing up
my most viewed films of all time list which is
punctuated by number one of course first Transformers
the movie number two Star Trek to the wrath of
Khan I gotta think Fury Road's probably third.
I mean I saw it in theaters seven times. I love
that movie. Actually I like it more than Road
Warrior, which I also adore. Anyhow. Yeah, Wheelie,
Skip, Scare over there. This was just fun. It's
the same thing. I had actually asked Amy and
some of the other Fembots that I do podcasts
with I asked them about if they wanted to join
in on any of this and Her only reply was that
she didn't have time and that wheelie was a really
really fun story And she's not wrong like we've
already said and found out that very very fun
story I'm just saying from where I sit. I'm surprised
that the wheelie story wasn't shit anyway It
took me this entire podcast to come up with that.
