Mike “TFG1" Blanchard

Hello and welcome to the 21st episode of the

TFG1 podcast. I am TFG1 Mike, your host, and

I am joined by Michael Wilson. And today we're

going to be talking about Transformers Generation

1, so stay tuned. Alright, this is the 21st episode

of the TFG1 Podcast. I am TFG1 Mike and I am

joined by... Michael Wilson. Hello. Hi there.

How's it going? Uh, not bad. Yes, I suppose since

I've been talking about this in all the other

podcasts I've done last week and this week, we

need to get the depressing parts out first. There

have been four celebrity deaths in the past week.

You had Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett, Michael Jackson,

and Billy Mays. Which kinda sucks. I mean you

know that you know I understand Michael Jackson

is you know one of the biggest pop icons ever

But as soon as his as soon as his news it was

announced you heard nothing more on Farah Whatsoever

that day I was just it was just I was just depressing

crazy. She wasn't the king of anything See Michael

Jackson is the king of pop and Billy Mays is

the king of infomercials If she was the king

of something, she would get more coverage. Yeah,

I'm actually surprised that I have not seen any

Billy Mays infomercials on TV the entire day

today, or yesterday. No, seriously. We're not

making anybody any money right now. But I mean,

you know that that's going to come up though.

They're going to start showing those more and

more. I don't know, maybe. You know it's sad

to see him go and you know I made a comment on

Twitter or Facebook or somewhere You know at

least at least Ed gets to go make funnies with

Johnny You know that's a I guess that's a positive

spin on it even though You know there's really

nothing positive about someone dying, but I mean

you know at least you look at the bright side

I guess right side is that he gets to spend eternity

saying here's Johnny I can think of better ways

to spend money. I've had, well last week, because

we're recording this on Monday, it will air on

Friday, but last week, I had a pretty rough week

last week. On a whim, I went to go see Revenge

of the Fallen Thursday. Nobody was around to

go with me. My mom was off doing other stuff.

So I said screw it It was like it was like an

1130 in the morning showing I said fine. I don't

want to go any later than that Went out caught

the first bus then I had to catch another bus,

which I had another 20 -minute wait for that

Then you know, so by the time I get on the second

bus I get down to where I think the bus is supposed

to go straight down to another main road instead

of turning down the Road that I thought I had

to walk down as soon as I get off the bus It

doesn't go straight. It fucking turns. I had

to walk a mile and a half to get to the theater

from the bus stop. Got in there. Loved the movie.

The movie's awesome. You know, go see the movie.

Whatever. Um, got out of there. Didn't know that

the bus, you know, like I said, the bus route

had changed. The bus stops had changed. So I

had been standing there for like an hour and

a half waiting for this bus. In the smoldering

heat, I was pissed. If I didn't love my iPhone,

my iPhone was gonna be in the middle of the fucking

street. Because I was so pissed My mom eventually

came pick me up and yeah Ruins of the Fallen

is probably gonna be the last movie I go see

by myself in theaters this year No The action

yes, you know the robots fighting and all that

stuff. Yes the story no The story was horrible.

The story sucked. It was really really bad. I

actually just read a review on toplessrobot .com

and He hit it right on the head All his complaints

were just dead on Things like you know, oh we

have this piece of the all spark that brings

back You know Megatron and then Megatron kills

optimus, but we have one more piece of all spark

What do we do with it? Do we bring back optimus?

Well, no. No, we bring back Jetfire. Why? Well,

because Jetfire happens to know about this thing

that might be able to bring back Optimus. Well,

why not just bring back Optimus? I don't know,

because Bay is stupid. Okay, you know, I said

on ATTF 27 that, you know, I thought it was neat

how they worked the, you know, the Matrix being

that, you know, being a G1 homage into the movie.

i can understand you know someone's point about

using the all -spark shard on on optimus instead

of jetfire but i understand where they were going

in the story line for that the problems i had

with it was alice okay so this is something okay

okay she's hot i'd get that she's hot cool whatever

the fucking tail tongue thing uh... no all my

god i almost puked See I was happy to see the

tail just because it knocked the skirt out of

the way so I could see the panties. Oh You dirty

old man Like back up back What the hell she's

supposed to be skanky I need to see your ass

It's like it's like the transformers dirty sluts

in disguise Honestly, it's like if you could

disguise yourself as anything you want, what

would it be? Let's see, I could be a toaster,

I could be a sweet motorcycle, or I could be

a skanky hoe. I think a skanky hoe would be the

best choice. The whole Sam Michaela thing. I

didn't really like it. I mean, yeah Megan Fox

kind of quote -unquote acted a little bit more

in this movie She wasn't really the eye candy

this time around even though at times she was

Yeah Yeah, yeah Well, I think the reason why

that that they had to actually have her act was

because obviously until we find out that Alice

is a giant fucking tail under her skirt You know,

Alice was the eye candy. I think my favorite

moment, obviously, besides, you know, Prime kicking

ass, was when Bumblebee got fed up with the twins

and just smashed their heads together. For yeah,

just throw well the first thing that I thought

as soon as I saw that I laughed and I said, oh

hell Yeah, it's the three stooges and transformers

Is if you look no seriously if you look at that

scene Bumblebee is Moe he's taking Larry and

Curly smash their heads together and throwing

them out the one throwing them out the room if

you look at that seriously It's a three stooges

moment. I'll buy that sure, but uh Yeah, I don't

remember Moe Well, he didn't throw them, but

I mean, he did knock their heads together a couple

of times. Yeah, yeah, I can kind of see your

point there. But what bothered me with the whole

thing was, you know, the fact that Bumblebee

basically, you know, smacked these two, you know,

Lunkheads around and threw them out the window.

And yet the two of them, minus Bumblebee, of

course, but the two of them together managed

to do a fair amount of damage to Devastator.

Which to me implies that bumblebee probably could

have killed Devastator by himself. Yeah could

be I said, you know, and I'm sure that people

I don't know how many people have listened to

all things transformers 27 but I said in there

I hate the fact that They kept calling him B.

His name is not fucking B. It's bumblebee for

Christ's sake It's way too many syllables it

doesn't uh... christ yes so so there was uh...

a lot going on in the movie we could probably

when i say a lot of me just the action just uh...

the uh... uh... prime death you know because

it was that transformers was prime dies at least

once uh... but but i mean that there's there's

a lot of uh... dog humping leg humping giant

Devastator scrotum dangling and For some godforsaken

reason an IMAX sized screen full of John Tutoro's

ass I Didn't need to see on the giant IMAX screen.

Thank God. I am too cheap to go to IMAX These

things that probably didn't need to be in the

movie Well, you know we could discuss this forever

yeah I mean you know um overall if it's if it's

something that you know you're wanting a good

action flick to go to go see it if you're a transformers

fan you should at least see it once in the theater

if you're just a general public you know if you

like I just said if you want to go for a good

action flick go see it if you're going for a

story you're better off going to see up or some

crap like that I don't know, you know, the story

was not like fantastic, but it was the horrible

story was punctuated heavily with Giant fucking

robots. I I can dig that I like that. I like

the action Yeah, much better than the first one

where it was mostly just obscure gray blurs Yeah,

now the the CGI was a lot more crisp. I was much

more vibrant. I could really see what was going

on. It really looked like the giant robots belonged

in the world. Yeah. I think my favorite moment,

other than the Three Stooges moment, was when,

I don't know if it was Lennox or Epson that set

it, but he's like, drop the big kahuna. And I'm

like, what? And all of a sudden you see this

plane just open up and there he is, Optimus Prime

in truck mode. Yeah. Chops him right out exactly

that was so freaking cool. I I'm sorry, but there

is no medium no transformers medium that is gonna

be able to capture Optimus Prime's death like

they captured in the 86 movie. I had no I felt

no emotion towards the towards the death scene

in this movie at all I Could have done without

the screeching. Yeah, it seems like every time

You know, says anything to anybody, it's a screech.

It's like, yeah, I can't really get behind this

with him screeching all the time. But yeah, I

mean, in the 1986 movie, Just to Contrast, you

had everybody standing around very somberly,

and you had Daniel kind of weeping, and it was

very sad. And here it's Shia screeching, and

there's nobody here to witness. And when everybody

finally does show up, Where the hell were they

a minute ago, but when they do show up, they

just kind of say oh Well shit. He's dead. What

now? Yeah It's like I said in in ATTF 27 because

Steve and I really already talked about this

But it's like I said you you didn't get something

like this I mean there There's more emotion for

me in that line than there is in the entire death

scene in Revenge of the Fallen. Yeah, but you

know, in their defense, in this movie, the Matrix

wasn't some great mystical repository of nine

billion years worth of Autobot wisdom. It's actually

the on switch for the machine that kills the

sun. Yeah, that's true too. You know that machine

that kills the sun? Nothing to do with the 9

million years of accumulated auto -bot wisdom.

It's the on switch for the sun killer. Holy shit,

I just had a realization. Do you remember Megatron's

solar needle in G1, changing gears, episode changing

gears? That's what this is! There we go! Holy

shit, they weren't doing the solar needle! Well,

yeah Devastator ripping apart the pyramids to

get to the solar. Yes the hit with the wrecking

ball nut sack I Thought that was funny, but you

know some people Didn't I happen to like juvenile

humor? Yeah, so I mean if if Devastator would

have cut a huge fart and just killed John tutorial

right there This ass wind I probably would have

I would have allowed that to slide Yes, you get

a pass on this one because he killed agent Simmons

with his anal reek Oh my god. So what's been

going on with you this week or this past week

or since whenever the hell it was the last time

we recorded? Oh, way too much. The deck is going

up in the backyard. We took the family to the

Taste of Chicago, which was kind of sparse. They

have about maybe a quarter of the food booths

that they used to have in previous years. I blame

the economy. Yeah, everything can be blamed on

the economy. Yeah, pretty much. The food was

so good, there was just a lot less to choose

from. That's nearby. That's not too hard to get

to. We also went strawberry picking. Yeah, I

saw your blog post about that. That was pretty

cool. That was neat. The things you can do in

northwest Indiana that I guess you can do anywhere

else. Wait, wait, wait. Say that town again.

But northwest indiana, oh no, okay northwest

indiana. I thought you said orifice indiana.

I was like what the hell? Yeah, yeah, we don't

need to go that far If there was a cloaca of

Chicago, it would probably be Gary's suburbs.

I live just outside of that. Ah, yes. Do you

have any other general chat things you want to

bring up? Oh, I was going to say, I did get my

box set from BotCon, my non -attending. Yay.

Yay. And I also broke down and got one of those

razor claw slash Elita one sets that were left

over Okay, this is what I this is what I have

to say about that No, I just want your box in

your comic and your certificate come on, dude,

oh Come on they're wasting space in the closet,

come on! I'm going to have to do something with

that closet, I think. Well, we'll see. Yes, you

definitely, definitely are. So I don't think

we have any more general chat items. I did want

to bring up that the first ever GeekCastRadio

.com contest is now over. The winner will be

announced this Thursday on Transformers ToyCast

Episode 4. We had, I think, Five or six entries,

maybe seven and I just you know And I've said

this on other shows that I've done that did this

past week just to make it more fair I'm gonna

do a random draw out of a hat or something just

because you know There were so many entries that

that were right that you know I don't want I

don't want it to be like oh Well, sorry everybody

else this this was the person that that emailed

in first or this is the person that got Get everything

right or whatever. So I'm just gonna do a random

draw out of the winners Answers that I accepted

so and that will happen this Thursday I'm not

really sure what else is coming up from us. I'll

see toy cast episode 4 Toon cast episode 5 will

be released on Wednesday Which we talked about

thundercats So, yes Don't think oh, let me see

here. Yes that there was no voice actor carryover

between Thundercats and G .I. Joe slash Transformers.

Really? Yeah. I was really surprised that the

voices that pop up in Thundercats are unique

to Thundercats. Never hear those guys anywhere

else. Well, the voices that pop up in Voltron

are unique. Well, other than Michael Bell, are

unique to Voltron. Well, that's some old anime.

from you know the the more recent anime you'll

be see a lot of carryover between the voice actors

so that's not surprising yes it had to throw

that in there that was sly that was one of the

clips that i got from from the uh... for the

thunder cats episode so i thought i think that

mostly everything else i think we're gonna get

into some episodes today we are all you know

what couple more minutes here we can cut it off

at twenty uh... well what else do you want to

talk about I'm kidding, it's a long discussion.

But yeah, we should just have one whole long

podcast on nothing but us complaining about the

movie. We can do that whenever, it doesn't really

matter to me. Overall, I thought it was good.

Like I said, for just to shoot them up, giant

robots with giant testicles for two minutes or

whatever, just blasting the hell out of each

other, it's a good movie. Did I grin from ear

to ear? at least three -quarters of the way through

it? Yes, I did. Yeah, did I cringe at least four

or five times during some of the plots? Yes.

Was the $27 worth of IMAX tickets worth it? No.

What? I thought so. No. And the secret was stopping

by, oh, where we go? I think we went to Walmart

and bought all of our candy there and then snuck

it in. clandestine candy. I bet Chrissy had to

bring a pig first. That's right. That's the right

way to do it. I'm not donning, you know, bringing

in outside candy, but yeah, yeah, yeah, bring

in outside candy because you're not going to

spend five bucks on a box of candy that you can

buy for a buck at Walmart. Oh yeah, no. When

I go to movies, I very rarely Get anything to

eat anyway because or drink cuz you know halfway

through you're gonna have to get up and go to

the bathroom Then it defeats the purpose of going

to the movie Two and a half to well two and a

half hours later. You're you're dying. Yeah,

exactly So two hours into the movie. I was so

uncomfortable that I couldn't move I stayed very

still and still enjoy the movie for the remaining

half hour. Yeah Thinking to myself, you know,

it's probably a good 20 minutes worth of army

-navy stock footage here that could have been

cut out Then I could be in the bathroom right

now and on that note we're getting into some

episodes Alright, first up today in episode 21

we have the big broadcast of 2006. This episode

was written by Michael Reeves. and are rebroadcast

through space as well during populations across

the galaxy or like what the hell I don't get

that at all but anyway basically what happens

is the Quintessons want to make the Jokians docile

and just do whatever the hell they want and the

signals get mixed up basically Let's see, this

episode starts off with the Quinnaissons observing

the Junkions. They're trying to recover a journal

that belongs to them. The Quinns send down some

shark decons, but the Junkions foil the plot.

Skylinx is flying near the planet of junk when

he is attacked by Astrotrain. Again, with the

goddamn color changes on Rodimus. I am to the

point now, even if I'm just watching it for enjoyment,

I am to the point now where I cringe every time

I see Erotimus. No, no, no, no! Not because -

I've been there all along. No, shut up! Not because

of his character, not because of who he is, just

because they can't pick a fucking caller! Um,

yeah, uh, the Quints basically use the Junkions

to transmit their subliminal messages. Throughout

the universe, the problem with the subliminals

is that they've been crossed, and wars are breaking

out all over the galaxy. Omega Supreme, first

episode since before the movie. That was awesome.

This is the first time we've seen Omega since

before the movie. I would much rather see Omega

than Metroplex again. As cool as Metroplex is,

I think I'd rather see Omega Supreme once or

twice. I'd rather see Omega than Skylinks sometimes,

because Skylinks is just a stuck -up dinosaur

-looking piece of shit. He has no right to be

so snobby, considering the fact that he's a giant

dinosaur -looking piece of shit. I did write

this on Predacon Empire. You can go over there

to the G1 screenshots thread. uh... to look at

the pictures i did post pictures of this with

the in this episode marks the first time since

the movie that rodimus has used his arm lasers

uh... and people said that they were never used

again uh... i want to amend that someone told

me at one point that he never uses the razor

blade again which is true however whoever told

me that the lasers were never used again you're

fucking wrong sorry about your luck i've got

good I don't even remember who it was, but I

don't care. Some Transformers fan that I was

talking to said, oh, they never use it again.

Bullshit. I have photographic fucking proof,

people. Are you going to do a little dance now?

No. Yeah, yeah, I was right. Oh, shut up. Oh,

that's so funny. It's cool, though. I believe

in the classics version of Rodimus. The blade

comes out of his arm. Yeah on on the on the classics

on the u .s. Classics the u .s. Head the u .s.

Henkay the club the u .s. Classics the henkay

and the Botcon shattered glass version the razor

blade does come out But I was specifically speaking

as far as in the actual cartoon because someone

like I said had told me That they're just there

to be there after after the movie include that

feature on a figure that was literally only used

once in the movie. Yeah, that's true. But then

again, we always see giant robots with razor

blades on their arms. Yeah, that almost made

it onto Twitter today. I was thinking about that.

In the first Transformers movie, I was wondering

why giant metal robots wouldn't have the need

to evolve huge sharp pointy teeth. In the second

movie, I'm wondering why giant metal robots wouldn't

have the need to evolve giant round testicles.

And I was gonna put that in there, and I was

afraid somebody's gonna be like, well, why do

you need giant metal robots? I have no comeback

for that. To hold up to the fact that I have

giant round testicles and be done with it. Okay,

yeah. Again, as I've said before in almost every

episode The TF2 and podcast is not responsible

for anything Michael Wilson says on this podcast.

Oh Damn throw me out of the bus Yeah, you're

the one that opened up and told the story I didn't

I didn't say anything Yes segue into the broadcast

is stopped and everything returns to normal well

normal as it can be for the Transformers uh...

apparently there's information in the journal

capsule that the quints can afford people are

finding out uh... and i think that goes to the

next episode that we're going to talk about uh...

the question journal i'd i'd i'd i think that's

what they were going there for for there uh...

do you have any thoughts on the actual synopsis

before we get into our thoughts uh... well as

long as you brought it up i was gonna say that

there's a nice use of continuity between this

episode and the next episode that we're going

to review as far as, you know, the journal. They

spend this entire episode, you know, trying to

get their hands on this journal and going through

all these convolutions, trying to protect it

from everybody else. And, you know, at the very

end, you're so left wondering, well, what the

heck's in the journal? Exactly. And you don't

find out until much later, you know, the next

episode, what it is. I truly think between this

episode, the next one that we're going to talk

about, Crenson's Journal, And Starscream's ghost

and ghost in the machine, I truly think those

are meant to be two -parters because of just

the overall continuity in each one. So unless

you have any other thoughts on the synopsis,

I think we're going to move on. That'll work.

All right, we're moving on and here is a transformation

sound. All right. It is time for our thoughts

on this episode. Um... As much as I'm against

the whole rhyming thing, when Retgar was like,

I can do it, I can win, I can be a winner, I

believe in me, and then Galvatron went around

and said the same thing, that was just hilarious.

exactly that was the power of the positive message

and then you had the negative message which was

like kill destroy you know what I don't I don't

remember what the actual message said because

I didn't I didn't watch these today before I

started recording I watched them last week I

think I watched them last Wednesday so I thought

we were going to be recording on Friday evening

but we weren't so that's okay but anyway you

have any notes for this one Yes, I do Actually

what I thought was interesting was the fact that

You know, there's female junkie ounce. Mm -hmm.

I don't think we've ever seen one before No,

we haven't and I think that's the only Cisco

and poncho There's two of them The junkie ounce

there's wreck are and then there's the female

and you know it's hard to say is it retgar or

is it someone who looks just like retgar because

there was a lot of retgar clones in this one

but uh the one says cisco and the other one says

poncho that's why you know they're named cisco

and poncho i thought that was funny but uh overall

you know i think that whoever wrote this one

and you probably have it in there somewhere but

whoever wrote this one must have had a ball Because

it's just a whole slew of TV quotes one after

another and there's their quotes from real TV

shows Yeah, Michael Reeves is who wrote it. I

said that in the beginning of the synopsis. Apparently

no one was listening when when I said that I

actually thought you said Christopher Reeve.

No, I said Michael Reeves. Who is Superman? No,

no, no Superman did not write a Transformers

episode No, unfortunately not. Because you did

a super job uh... god that was a bad pun uh...

well as funny uh... even the uh... even stan

bush's quoted he was uh... one of the uh... well

i want to say what i can't do is record but again

they all look the same in this one yeah uh...

he says we got the touch oh yeah that's right

you know i was like thank you man yeah i'm sorry

but the only The only person that I think and

and of course I understand that they couldn't

get I mean As big as Eric idol is I understand

they couldn't get him to reprise for the rest

of the series But this is the only voice of retgar

other than and the as far as d1. This is it for

me He's just slightly British slightly british

it doesn't work no it doesn't did you dig the

cats and dogs planet yeah that was funny cats

and dogs living together mass hysteria yeah that

that was really really funny um i dug it i like

that a lot yes um i really You know, I don't

despise this episode unlike some of the other

ones we've reviewed as of recently but at the

same time It's one I could watch if I wanted

to have a good laugh, but really for me the story

it was kind of stupid I Think that there would

probably be better ways to pacify the junkie

ons. I mean why make them more like or at least

xenophobic, knowing full well that it's going

to make it almost impossible to get on the planet

to retrieve your journal. Why not send them peaceful

messages that say, you enjoy the company of people

with tentacles. That would have been like an

invitation for them to come to the planet and

search all they want. Once they get on the planet,

they could have said pretty much anything. But

instead they make it ten times harder for themselves

to get the journal Yeah, I know the Quintessons

did not have a good plan in this episode it's

like it's almost like You know Galvatron is in

the back of the Quintesson ship saying Come on

now stop ragging on Galvatron. Oh, you know and

in this one he's still a jackass And then he

ends up as a boob tube zombie. Yeah, exactly

Yeah, it was terrible Yeah, I would say To end

up and off this one. It was my other favorite

quote by the by the junkie ons He says, you know,

are you a little rough on the beaver? Yeah Yeah,

that's a that's probably an inside joke with

the writers Yeah, we all know what it means Oh,

yeah, most likely so Yeah, the last MacGuffin

yeah the lost MacGuffin I should say is Hurdling,

you know at light speed into the next episode.

We don't even find it in this one Yeah, no, not

at all. So I think we're going to end with Grimlock

I think we're going to move on to the next episode.

A case study has been made of this conflict.

I'll bet they'd love to have that journal at

the peace conference. Then let's get it alone

and bring it on home. Alright, on my signal.

Escalating sales of armaments to both sides has

resulted in continuation. Autobots, they dare

to attack us! some peace conference we'll be

lucky if it doesn't break out in galactic war

alright up next is the question journal and uh...

there's something i was gonna bring up here oh

yeah just now i have my notes before starting

the synopsis here i have my notes on my computer

and just now before we started recording this

part of the episode i heard mister wilson over

there flipping through a pad of paper so you

can tell our age differences i am more tech savvy

he is back in the fortieth century that is sort

of the truth i have a computer programmer i'm

very tech savvy yes but you write your notes

for these episodes on pieces of paper instead

of the computer uh... you know it's funny is

i have a uh... scratch pad here and at the top

it says Dunder Mifflin incorporated Dwight K.

Schrute assistant regional manager so it's like

from the desk of Dwight K. Schrute okay then

and the synopsis says the Quintesson journal

this episode was written by Richard Merwin I

believe that's how his name is pronounced two

warning planets Zataxis and Lanark are in peace

talks with the Autobots acting as mediators.

Elsewhere, Perceptor locates the missing Quintesson

journal in the Angalic sector. I don't know,

I'm probably butchering that, but oh well. And

attempts to retrieve it, but Predaking is headed

there as well. The journal changes hands, moving

from the Autobots to the Quintessons and finally

to the Decepticons. The journal is open, revealing

that it may hold the key to solving the conflict

between Zataxis and Lenark. Let's see here, okay.

Yay, first episode order that Rodimus's coloring

is continuous without changing! I did notice

that, thank god. Yeah, if you look at Big Broadcast

2006 and you look at this one, they're the same

colors, thank god. The continuity continues from

the last episode to this one with the journal

that the Quints are looking for. There are two

planets at war that the humans and Autobots are

trying to negotiate peace with. Both the Decepticons

and Autobots discover the signal of the journal.

Outback is introduced in this episode. Was he

yeah, he was Displayed prominently in this episode

for the first time in a while, but but yeah,

he was on one of his one or two episodes earlier

Because he has the the annoying I want to say

outback the annoying Australian accent. Oh, yes,

it's all of the shrimp on the barbie Yes. Before

the Autobots can learn what the Journal has to

say, the Predacons arrive and merge into Predaking.

The Quints have been escalating the war between

the two planets that the Galactic Beast Council

is trying to settle. Magnostradamus do make a

good team. It was the end of the... this is the

one. Had said that I had there was one I believe

it was last episode of the podcast that you said

that it seemed like The Autobots were patting

each other on the backs As far as good job this

good job that whatever this is the one at the

end of this episode Rodimus and Magnus shake

hands, and I have that picture I just haven't

I haven't posted forms yet, and I have I haven't

actually I haven't actually Converted to JPG

and it's still a bit map image, but yeah My last

a few coloring changes is superb It's very crisp

and the animators have really found their stride.

It's a shame It took them two seasons of TV and

a theatrical film to do so do you want rules

though? You know Well, you know it was the 80s

so What do you think of the overall story? I

mean, as far as like the synopsis, as far as

the plot. Right, right. I was happy that there

was continuity between the previous episode and

this episode in the sense that, you know, the

Quintessons are looking for this journal. They're

still trying to get it. The journal appears and

lo and behold, it details their financial dealings

with these two warring planets. In that respect,

yeah, it was okay. I think this was kind of anticlimactic

as far as what's in the journal? What could it

be? It's financial records. I don't really care

and probably people listed in the journal probably

care less too. I'd be more interested in how

do they lose that journal? Yeah, really? Yeah,

it seems to be pretty important. How do you lose

something like that? But as far as the continuity

goes, I was thinking that the two warring planets

were at war because of the effects of the big

broadcast. Oh, yeah, and I'm thinking well, you

know, they didn't actually say that once the

broadcast was over that everybody went back to

normal So I'm assuming well, there's still some

that you really hate each other. So they're fighting

anyway I mean the cats and the dogs, you know,

they can they can leave each other alone. But

these two well, you know the Texas in one arc.

Yeah. Well, you know, you've got the It's the

robot Romans versus the robot sand people. The

robot Romans and the robot sand people really

hate each other. As it turns out, what you find

out toward the end is that they've been warring

for thousands of years and they're ready to annihilate

each other finally after this. One more generation

would do it. so much for continuity yeah you

know I thought it tied in nicely with the previous

episode but when in fact no not really these

guys just really hate each other well it does

though I mean it kind of does tie in with the

previous episode like I said before with the

whole journal thing oh yeah so I mean it ties

in that aspect but as far as the warring aspect

no it doesn't right well I mean there's other

episodes we've noticed that look like they should

have gone one after another when in fact You

know in the original airing date. They probably

didn't well. This is one of those that Probably

didn't really need to be right after it another

You know there there could have been a couple

episodes in between these two And I probably

wouldn't have noticed It would have been like

oh, yeah that journal I remember that journal

I mean yeah for all I know there could have been

four or five episodes of following this journal

around We just don't know about it like What's

the name of that movie with the the cosmic orb

the heavy metal the original one the old one

with the the chick on the flying chicken Okay,

yeah, I'm too young for that. Oh, you gotta go

out and rent that It's an animated movie you

dig it. It's a heavy metal. It's got a lot of

a lot of really talented voice actors in it Yes,

it's even been parodied on South Park everything's

parodied on South Park and robot chicken and

everything else so yeah but yeah so I mean it's

literally an anthology that follows this alien

artifact little green ball that floats through

space and ruins people's lives and you know digressing

yeah yeah I was gonna say we need to get back

into the Cronosant Journal six episodes of this

journal just floating through space and all the

races fighting over it and all the trouble it

causes. That could be, but unfortunately they

didn't have that many more episodes to go anyways,

so... That truly is talented a writer. What's

interesting, though, is this episode was written

by a different guy. Yeah. So it's cool that they

have that kind of interplay. They're all written

by different people. All of the episodes are.

For the most part. Except for Five Faces of Darkness.

Well... No, I mean all of them are I mean there

are some that That are written by same people

But yeah all these ones that we're gonna be talking

about in the next two or three episodes. They're

all written by different people Actually, there's

one There's actually two and I did not know this

until I watched it today when I was getting audio

for it The Return of Optimus Prime is co -written

by two people, and one of them is Marv Wolfman.

I never knew he was written on G1. I know he

did the treatment for Beast Machines, but I never

knew that Marv Wolfman wrote anything for G1,

which I thought that was amazingly cool. Very

cool. Yes, so I think we're going to get into

our thoughts. This has gone on long enough. All

right. Now it's time for our thoughts on the

Quintesson Journal. That's what it is. I almost

forgot what it was I did that Yeah, that one

with the thing in the thing. I did that a lot

in tune cast episode 5 I actually forgot what

segment we were actually gonna be talking about

for Thundercats because that show is broken up

into each individual segment of the show like

the actual show the voice actors stuff like that,

so Yes, yes, go listen to tune cast geocast radio

comm Insert shameless plug here Yes, so what'd

you think? I don't want to say a throwaway episode

because you know, it does tie in with the previous

episode which is nice, but at the same time There's

wasn't a whole lot to it. Yeah, it didn't tie

in the way you wanted to tie in did it? Not at

all. I mean, I thought that it would be very

cool for, you know, have some inter -episode

cause and effect going on. Okay, yeah, cause

and effect. Yeah, I can see the point there.

I don't think this one's a throwaway. I think

it's more of exposition than anything else. Who

were they expositioning? The Quintessons themselves

with their little whole, you know Backstory of

supplying weapons to each planet to start a war

The Quintessons are the the destros of the Transformers

universe Supplying weapons of both sides of the

conflict. Yes You know, I was gonna say what'd

be really be cool is a Quintesson with a big

metal mask but We've already seen that. And I

have been once already. He should've come back!

But he got eaten. So, never mind. Yeah, we're

not gonna go into whatever happened to the Dweller.

I didn't like that episode anyway. We don't really

care. Yeah, we don't really care, never mind.

What else you got? Well, Rodimus Prime, as well

as being the suckiest Autobot leader ever, is

also the suckiest diplomat ever. It's amazing

that every other race on the planet doesn't try

to kill itself. It's like, well, Rodimus Prime

stepped on this planet and the entire race just

killed itself, knowing full well that he was

either going to A, blow up their planet, or hurl

it into the sun, or try to negotiate peace with

a neighboring planet. You you brought him as

hater when he doesn't lead his team floating

through space waiting to splatter or be saved

Anyways, um What else? What I thought was interesting

was uh He had his gun, right? And the gun looked

exactly like the gun on the toy Essentially Outback

was a repaint of brawn except on the the giant

spare tire on top of brawn that was more of a

a gun post for Outback and he had a big gun there

that plugged on top Lost, you know, so they're

really hard to find now but in this episode Outback

had that gun in his hand and I'm thinking wow,

how cool would it have been if Outback could

have transformed and held the gun in his hand

I mean, he couldn't, because he had these weird

claw hands that folded up the doors, but it still

would have been terribly cool. Yeah. See, I thought

this was Outback's first appearance, but now

that I think about it, whenever I forget which

one it was, the one where it might have been

Nightmare Planet with Steeljaw and Blaster, where

Steeljaw has to rip the vines off of them. No,

it was this episode that was this episode. Yeah.

Yeah. Yeah, I have not seen out back before this

No, you've seen out back before because we made

fun of him. Did we well more to the point? I

made fun of him. I was gonna say yeah But he

only he showed up a cop once at least once and

he only had a few lines Yeah out back is basically

cosmos for this season kind of cosmos Yeah, well

he I mean Yeah, exactly you know he shows up

like maybe ten times or so like cosmos was only

used like maybe five or six Maybe ten times maximum,

but what I'm what I'm saying is out back was

with blaster in this episode One of the major

episodes that I remember with blaster he was

with cosmos, so I mean it was like that they

were you know substituting Outback for are they

substituting? Yeah, so the outback for cosmos.

So I don't know I was gonna say cosmos does show

up in a couple episodes later. Does he? Hell,

I don't even remember. No, no, he's flying with

Skylinks. Oh Yeah, that's right Yeah, and I was

gonna and they both lose power and crash And

for some reason I was thinking that was called

the primitives, but I'm sure it's not Mmm, I'm

not sure anyway. Yeah Predaking mm -hmm Predaking

for once does not get his ass handed to him by

skylinks And I was kind of happy to see that

because I mean in my opinion and I've said this

before Predaking should be able to just stomp

the hell out of skylinks Yes. And for some reason

Skylinx is like the Mary Sue of the Transformers

world in that he's hyper powerful and can destroy

Predaking and then fly down Trypticon's mouth

and blow out his insides and then fly back out.

Which we've seen at least once and it's getting

pretty annoying. So I was kind of happy that

Predaking didn't get beat up this time. You know

I always try to make the comparisons between

the the combiners. between the autobot combine

isn't something on combine is what you got uh...

uh... computer on who's enemy is abominance uh...

defense or i don't know who's his would be but

uh... superior on his is uh... menace or uh...

you know a metroplex in triptych on you know

and now you have the sky links in pretty keen

which is it's kind of stupid actually when you

think about it uh... for christ's sake sky links

is only a a dual changer because he has the jaguar

bottom in the in the pterodactyl or tyrannodon

or whatever the fuck that the hell is his flying

dinosaur mode is he doesn't even have a robot

mode yeah exactly what the fuck oh it would be

cool well what would really be cool is if we

had like a kit basher or somebody take one of

these and create a robot mode for him That'd

be interesting. I mean, you know, as far as something

Beast Wars -ish in that, you know, that long

neck with the animal head on the end of it, you

know, could end up being an arm. You know, he

might even end up looking a little bit more like

a Beast Wars Megatron. Ah. Hmm. That's kind of...

Yeah. When hell freezes over, but yeah. Other

thoughts on the Konison Journal? Uh, yeah, other

thoughts on the Quintesson Journal? Uh, I'm sorry,

no, I think we're done. Okay, we're gonna move

on to the next episode then. You saved our lives,

kid. Don't mention it. Gramps? Rodimus? What

in the name of Prime? Oh, no. All of us? Rodimus?

Springer? Ultra Magnus? What's happened to us?

We were just wondering about that ourselves.

At least we know who's responsible. Victor Drath?

Whom it would seem we greatly underestimated.

Alright, up next is Only Human, one of my favorite

episodes. And according to the booklet, uh, it

says, uh, it's written by Susan K. Williams.

Don't know who that is, but whatever. After an

attempted theft is thwarted by the Autobots,

crime boss Victor Drath calls in help to deal

with the do -gooder robots. Old snake in quotes

a masked man with a familiar voice agrees to

help Darth I was gonna say Darth. Yeah, okay.

It could be Darth It's draft procure his abandoned

synthoid technology with it to Lerodimus RC ultra

Magnus and Springer into a trap transferring

the Autobots minds into that of blank fabricated

human replicants. Can the Autobots rescue their

own mechanical bodies before Drath and Old Snake

use them in a crime wave? As I said a second

ago, I love this episode just because it brings

up stuff from season one. And I believe it was

way back in episode five that I'd bring that

I said I'd bring this up again The fact that

the end at the end of Autobot spike bumblebee

asks what it would be like if robots brain was

in a human body Well, this is the episode where

that happens to Rodimus Magnus RC and Springer

Which I thought was a really nice way for them

to kind of bring all of the seasons together

Because they're still calling back to their own

stuff I I'm not entirely sure if this is what

they had in mind when you know about spike but

Well Bumblebee said what would it be like for

a for a robot's brain to be in a human body?

Just like just like spikes human brain was in

a robot body. So technically this is It's it's

similar. It's it's the same reversal circle.

The storyline is completely different, but I

mean it's It's basically reversal. Yeah, it's

basically coming full circle. Thieves have set

bombings all over the city to cover up the theft

of something called Neutronium. Okay, the four

most important Autobots get caught in a trap

by Drath, and their minds are separated from

their bodies. Okay, I get that, but hello, what

about the Matrix inside Rodimus? Shouldn't it

be affected somehow? I mean, come on. Well, I'm

assuming the Matrix is still in the body. Well,

I don't know, considering that they actually

get inside the chests, the humans get inside

the chests of the robots to pilot them. Well,

that's true. I don't know. What I thought was

interesting, as far as that goes, is the way

the chests open up and there's still a little

cockpit in there. Yeah, yeah. And of course,

after the four get turned human, They conveniently

find clothing that matches their robot colors.

Very cool, but convenient. Considering the fact

that when they're all wearing their fruit of

the looms, they look all the same. Yeah. Except

for RC, right? I mean, they pretty much look

the same. Yeah, pretty much, except for the different

colors. Old Snake has control of the Autobots'

bodies while the human versions are trying to

figure out what has happened to them and if it's

reversible. Springer uh... spring has gotten

idea where he sees the guys piloting his body

and can get it to work right he asked her if

they need and in any climbs up uh... we all know

we all know everybody knows that it was the last

few episodes are well since episode sixteen i

fucking hate springer i cannot stand that green

bastard what so well in the springer exactly

even human springer I do have to give him credit

because he was looking out for Rodimus as far

as not wanting to split them up and then I did

like the line where he said I could just kill

him. But yeah, Human Springer is a fucking dumbass.

What's that noise I I think I hear something

and he you know looks in the next room and there's

springer banging his girlfriend He's like, oh

right this as long as we're still in human bodies

No, you did not just go my girlfriend even when

we're human uh... let's see uh... home god no

you dirty old man uh... the alter magnets are

see humans find a warehouse that belongs to draft

and they get inside but unknowingly set off an

alarm bring their own robot bodies down on them

uh... Oh It's kind of kind of weird. Okay, since

when did the Autobots hire? Yeah, I asked it's

the only my only issue with this episode since

when did the Autobots hire human workers for

Autobot City? Because when RC turns when she's

turned human and she's right. Ah Another thing

to notice she rides a motorcycle in this episode.

I Picked up on I picked up on that when I was

watching it earlier. I will But when she's human,

when Magnus says, you know, go to Autobot City,

leave me, I will, no, we gotta stay together,

no, go RC, that's an order, you know, do what

the hell I say, bitch, basically, is what he

was trying to say. And make me a pie. Yeah, make

me a fucking pie, bitch. She goes out and she

finds a red motorcycle and she drives off to

Autobot City and they don't believe her and they

basically put her in a holding cell. But my point

is, when do the Autobots get fucking human people

as security officers for Autobots City? Exactly!

They have the little servant door. It's like,

oh, we're all too big to guard the little tiny

little human door, so we're gonna have to get

humans to guard the human door. Why not just

put a big potato masher there on either side

of the... As I said a second ago RC goes there

to try Ghost Autobot City to try and tell Cup

what has been going on, but the guards stop her.

Drath's plan is to attack Autobot City with the

explosives inside the Autobot's bodies. The plan

is foiled though when Springer gets Metroplex

to transform into battle station mode. by firing

upon the other autobots fires on the city yeah

but cup and then we're standing right there at

the top of one of the towers give me a fucking

break fucking dumb green bastard radio yeah that's

the truth hello please please don't let us in

yeah uh... and then perceptor blasted all the

humans in vehicles uh... in the room where the

uh... separation for actually no i wasn't in

the room well you know they did go back to dress

house they did okay are now uh... and they put

them back in uh... to normal at the very end

we find out that all snake is actually don't

say it don't say it is actually bro commander

Which he actually sounds mr. Lotta? God rest

his soul that laugh at the end with the coffee

sounds like he's freaking dying He's old and

how was he when he passed away? No, I know but

I'm saying Okay, yes, I know he's an actor Dammit!

All of them are actors! It's like, well can you

make him sound older? Well, I can make him sound

older. Okay, well good, there you go! But, no,

I don't think it was Chris Lauda physically...

No, I know. No, I know, but I mean the voice,

it just sounds like... It just sounds like he's...

He's chilling on a chicken bone or something.

I think it was literally he was he was he was

Cobra commander, but he was doing it a little

bit older and A little bit flammier in the sense

that he was he was dying He was probably trying

to breathe chocolate You know, you said flammier

first of all, I don't think flammier is a word

Second of all second of all the first thing I

thought of when you said phlegm was Jeff Dunham's

Puppet Ahmed, how do I have? uh... comment how

do i have phlegm c h phlegm yeah i love jeff

dunham that's awesome so do we have any or do

you have any thoughts on the actual story of

the synopsis before we get into our thoughts

uh... aside from old snake it's like old spike

or old spice gone Old Snake is awesome. I'm really

happy that they pulled Cobra Commander in there.

I remember when I was little and I was watching

this, I thought it was the coolest thing ever.

Because you're watching and you're thinking to

yourself, that looks and sounds just like Cobra

Commander. But it can't possibly be Cobra Commander

because this isn't G .I. Joe, this is Transformers.

And then at the end, he pulls out the Cobra.

And I proceeded to shit my 12 -year -old self.

It was that awesome. Yeah, it was. Do you want

to say anything else about the actual story,

or do you want to just go on to our thoughts?

Yeah, let's go on to our thoughts. All right.

We're going to move on to our thoughts, then.

All right, this is our thoughts on only human

and I just have to say this out of out of all

the episodes today This is probably my number

one favorite Just because as I brought up in

the synopsis It kind of calls back to what bumblebee

said in in season one or right now season two

without about spike You know at the end of that

episode and I just thought this was like Even

though the story itself is kinda meh, but just

the idea of pretty much getting all the main

Autobot people, guys, gals, whatever, human,

I thought that was really, really cool. So what'd

you think? You know, I think I may have enjoyed

this for the exact opposite reason. In the sense

that, yeah, it was nice that... the Autobots

were human for a little while but at the same

time for me it was more about Cobra Commander

it was more you know okay yeah there's some bullshit

going on there's some bullshit but there's Cobra

Commander it was a complete opposite for me G

.I. Joe fanboy I know I'm totally a G .I. Joe

fanboy If I was allowed to have more than one

collection, you know damn well I'd be a GI Joe

completionist as well. Yeah, I don't think Chris

is gonna go for that, buddy. I don't have enough

closets. I need another room and she won't allow

me to have another collection room. And God,

if you saw this room, you'd be like, oh my God,

you don't need another collection room. What

the hell is wrong with you? Yeah. also found

it very convenient that the You know the under

clothing wearing clone people just happened to

find Color coded outfits to the robot forms.

Yeah. Yeah, it just happened to look just like

them and You know, they look pretty ridiculous

like that. Yeah, but okay I can kind of defend

it as far as you know, if you're a kid or even

even now I mean, of course, you know, we all

know What Springer and RC and and Magnus and

run amiss look like but we don't know I mean

there was slight differences between the three

guys, but they were pretty much the same There

were slight build differences, but they were

pretty much the faint same there was slight facial

differences But at the same time they were pretty

much stock type male characters They're all pretty

strong you know just There wasn't really any

differences there, so I mean I could see them

doing like the robot color -coded outfits to

be able to tell them apart uh... you know personally

i think are c should have been you know hot pink

leather instead of just some jumpsuit but anyway

that's just me uh... that's right yeah well i

think they should have made an attempt to make

r c attractive it's like what the hell is up

with that hair What is that exactly? I don't

know. Who's gonna find her hot? Riding around

on Springer's back with your hand on your ass.

Shut the hell up, dammit! That's not gonna do

it for anybody. Shut the hell up, dammit! You

will rue the day that you populated that. Yes,

well after this podcast is over anyone who brings

it up ever again will no longer be on any other

podcast that we do Not at no not after TFG ones

over it doesn't because it doesn't apply anymore

It doesn't apply in Beast Wars unless of course

you want to bring up the whole black arachnia

silverbolt love but whatever Airazor and Tigatron.

Yeah, whatever You know, there's plenty of you

know, female. Yes Yeah, anyway moving right along

I like the scene where Ultra Magnus and I think

it was our seer in the warehouse. Mm -hmm, and

they trip the silent alarm And Ultra Magnus and

RC the robots then burst through the doors. Yeah

And Ultra Magnus, the human, just completely

shits his pants. Yeah, exactly. He's like, waaaah!

I thought that was great. And alternately, Rodimus,

meeting up with a giraffe's girlfriend, he totally

has a Kirk moment. Yeah, exactly. He's like,

you know, I'm in this human body. I'm totally

going to make out with a chick. Totally gonna

do it because it's just not the same in the big

metal body. Yeah, no They didn't show that part

though, but you know what happened. Yeah, probably

but Yeah, I'm gonna mention one other moment

that didn't include Cobra commander because everything

else was crap without him But in the end nobody

seems to mind when the the human bodies are melted

down in the goo Hmm It's like, isn't there any

ethical implications going on here? It's like,

yes, your consciousness was transferred out of

your robot bodies into clone or template bodies.

But when your consciousness is then passed back

into the robot form, does that mean that the

human body is now just a waste? Yeah, I would

say so. It's melted down into its component parts,

or is that still a person? No, I would say it's

no longer a person because it has no soul Well,

okay, let's let's take that a step further Star

Trek has teleportation in the sense that you

know your your your body is Deconstituted in

the matter and that matter is then sent to another

place where the matter is and reconstituted into

a to a new version of you Okay, but the problem

with that is that's de -constituting and reconstituting

the entire body, including the mind and the soul.

This was separating mind from body. Right. Well,

let's take it more into reality terms in the

sense that we would not be able to send matter

over distances like that. In order to teleport

somebody, what we would have to do is Duplicate

a person in another location So we would scan

a body scan a person in one location in the other

location We would then take that information

to create a new Body that would be identical

in every way shape and form to the first body

The second body would then be for all intents

and purposes that person in a new location The

first body would then have to be disintegrated

So that only one copy of the person would exist

now Some people would say well, that's not ethical

at all You can't create another person and then

destroy the first copy the original copy I still

stick to my main point the fact that in this

episode that it's not It was an ad they didn't

know when they were doing this experiment what

was going to happen They thought they were just

removing the person and they thought they were

just removing the minds from the robot bodies

and that nothing else would happen. It was a

happy accident that they became humans. Cobra

Commander did not plan that. He even says it

in there. He's like, oh, this is a strange new

development or some such shit like that. I think

he was surprised that they survived. Exactly.

But that's what I'm saying because this isn't

Star Trek. This isn't reconstituting shit. from

one place to another. So as transformers, they

took the minds out of robot bodies and accidentally

created human bodies for them. So when they transfer

back, it's just like the human body is an empty

shell. The best analogy I can use is the end

of Judge Dredd where Rico has all the empty shell

clones that aren't fully developed. That's the

best analogy I can use, so I... Well, well, well...

No, it wasn't, but what I'm saying is, well,

obviously, if they're gonna be Rico clones and

they're gonna be evil, yeah, but... I don't know.

But the point is that, no, I don't... I think

it was more of separating mind from body than

it was separating the entire person. So... I

don't know. I think we're just gonna have to

agree to disagree. ethical problems whatsoever

with the destruction of the human bodies there

was nothing in the human bodies though after

the after the mines were brought took back into

the robots there was nothing in them it was an

empty shell is what I'm saying there's nothing

there that's understandable that's the only way

I can explain it I mean if you know if somebody

else Other than us wants to chime in go over

to product on Empire comm slash cafe spark Join

up and join in the conversation because that's

the only way I see it I mean, I don't see it

as cuz once their minds left those bodies It's

it. There's nothing left. It's an it's an empty

shell It's like if I'd like to see you know,

what type of come conversations evolve out of

this stuff Well, it's like, you know Okay, you

take a peanut. All right, you got it No, no,

I'm serious. Okay. No No, seriously though you

take a peanut. Okay that you have to you know

crack open to get the peanut out So you have

the peanut with the shell around it the shell?

Say is a human body and the peanut itself is

the brain of the human body So you crack open

the skull of the peanut Oh, Christ. You take

the peanut out and you eat it. What do you do

with the shell? You throw it away because there's

nothing there. Or, you know, some people eat

peanut shells. Whatever. But I mean, you know

what I'm saying? I mean, because... And now you're

condoning cannibalism. No! No, I'm not. Not at

all. No. I didn't say human. I said peanut. There's

a big difference. No, really. I mean it. Yeah,

well... When I first shut the hell up when I

first started saying that whole line of thought

The first thing that popped into my head was

this is your brain. This is your brain on drugs

Okay, do you have any other thoughts cuz I'm

about ready to stop Any other final things for

only human the final thing i yeah i really enjoyed

seeing uh... kobra commander you said that plenty

of times yeah i know i know but it bears repeating

uh... you know rest in peace chris lotta he still

missed yes he is and and uh... yeah i think that

that about covers it you want to get into a real

ethical conversation What would have happened

if they killed that green bastard in human form?

Yes! No more Springer in robot form! Hell yeah,

I love that idea. And on that episode, on that

on to the next episode. So too did his ambitions.

His creatures were bigger and bigger and finally

he created the monstrous Unicron. Unicron decided

to rule himself and tried to dispose of Primacron.

on energy, leaving suns dark and planets inert,

blank slates to do with as he pleases. Primachron

is a creature of sophisticated brilliance. His

powerful brain conceives of infinitely complex

plans. But, perhaps he thinks too hard. Perhaps

your simple instincts can defeat his plans. Alright,

up next is Call of the Primitives. And I have

to actually turn the page in this stupid booklet.

Damn it. Alright, so Call of the Primitives.

This episode was written by Donald F. Glutt.

Or Glute. I don't know, it's G -L -U -T, so it's

either Glut - Now I know who to blame. Oh god.

I can already tell you're gonna have issues with

this episode. An ancient - Monkey Boy? No. You're

gonna have to explain that after I finish reading

this. An ancient scientist named Primacron lets

loose his new superpower destroyer, a fitting,

streaking energy being called Tornatron. Primacron's

plan to absorb the energy of all matter in the

universe, wipe the universe clean, and begin

anew from a clean slate. But mysterious figure

calls out to the animal form transformers. luring

the Dinobots, Predacons, Terracons, Skylinks,

and Trypticon to his lair to stop the menace

of Tornatron. Okay, and I think you're talking

about Primacon when you said Monkey Boy, right?

Okay, that's what I thought. He looks like a

little monkey. Yeah, okay. As I said, Tornatron

is born. The Autobots and Decepticons are engaged

in a battle. uh... rodimus prime tells his troops

to do with the decepticons don't expect and that's

counter -attack uh... this battle was kind of

weird because we never actually uh... okay we

all know that autobots and decepticons are going

to fight each other no matter what but we don't

get any exposition on what started the battle

just like uh... last episode with uh... cyclonus

and scourge in the aerial bots. So we don't really

find out what they're fighting over this time.

On Cybertron, Cup is sounding the alarm because

Tornatron has arrived. Even though they don't

know what it is, they attack it. However, they

soon realize that it is eating their energy and

Tornatron makes Cybertron go dark. I thought

that was a really cool effect. I mean, I know

we're not really doing our thoughts yet, but

I mean, just seeing Cybertron go completely black

was really cool. I wasn't sure that was Cybertron

at first. Yes, it was. Well, I mean, they could

have been fighting anywhere, and all the planets

are pretty much interchangeable. No, no, no,

no, no. They clearly go from the asteroid that

Rodimus and them are fighting the Decepticons

on to Cybertron. Because you see, um, I don't

know if it's the area. It's one of the combiner

teams. You see them standing there, shooting

at the thing. And then all of a sudden it goes

dark. On Cybertron because it I mean cups there.

I mean he's that he was on Cybertron. I don't

know Next one I have here is there is a voice

from space calling all the primitives hence the

name of the fucking episode It's amazing to me

how many animal transformers there are when they're

all put together regardless of faction And if

you if you look at them, there's tons If you

count them individually and you don't count the

teams as teams, you got five to seven Dinobots,

you got the Terracons, the Predacons, all the

tapes from both sides, and then obviously Skylinks

and Trypticon. Trypticon is conveniently the

Ark. That not arc in the transformer sense but

arc in the biblical sense and that he kind of

lowers down the row. Oh, yeah Yeah, pretty much

Actually now that I've already said we don't

know where the battle is taking place. We actually

find out I was wondering it was taking place

and it's on the earth's moon The terra cons are

new in this episode aren't no they're not Terracons?

No, they were... I actually thought this was

the introduction of the Terracons. Oh, that's

right. I've already gone ahead into Return of

Optimus Prime and they were in that, but yeah,

yeah, you're right. Yeah, this is the introduction

of the Terracons. Let's see, Terracons are new

in this episode. Also, while Soundwave is malfunctioning,

we see two new cassettes that haven't been seen

before. There's a white one and there was something

else. I don't know what it was. That was Overkill

and Slugfest. Oh, okay. Never, never... The only

ones I know is Laserbeak, Buzzsaw, Rumble, Frenzy,

Ratbat, and Ravage. Oh, okay. So, I mean, yeah.

Yeah, you're not even including the 1987 ones.

Well, I didn't know that they had put new ones

out past Ratbat. Yeah, there's more. No, that

was the two dinosaur ones. Oh, okay. All right.

Let's see, once on the planet where the call

came from Grimlock sees a stranger and thinks

it's an enemy. Skylinks warns him to stop, but

he is too stubborn. Grimlock falls off the cliff

and the stranger disappears. The rest of the

crew appear out of... Yeah! The rest of the crew,

Skylinks and all of them, pop out out of nowhere

like a pop -up video from VH1, like the little

bubble that pops up with... Yeah! Like what the

hell we find out the origin of Unicron Yeah,

where's the boo I don't know. Let's see if I'm

fine. Yeah, cuz that was kind of stupid That

was that was very fucking stupid Yes, I mean

I understand that they've really been delving

into the history of the characters who first

showed up in the movie. They're really showing

off who the Quintessons are and how their society

is structured. And it only makes sense to try

to explain the backstory behind Unicron. I just

don't like the way they did it. I prefer the

Simon Furman explanation better. I don't know

what that is. So I mean, I know who Simon Furman

is but I've never seen that so These are my eyeballs

bugging out Yes, I know who he is, but I don't

think I've read any of his stuff Tornatron attacks

the primitives and all survived except Grimlock

supposedly slag now leads the Dinobots Okay,

can you say going bad from bad to worse? Leads

them away everyone splits up Grimlock's alive

and the only one who can save the universe That's

a that's another scary thought Grimlock is the

only one who can save the fucking universe. Okay

Tornatron turns on primacron and the creator

can't stop the energy demon Grimlock arrives

and attempts to stop the energy monster Grimlock

hits the reverse switch, making everything to

the way it was, and he destroys Primal Crown's

lab. Thus ending this episode. Uh, first of all...

A reverse switch? What the fuck? That's my favorite

part. He reverses the polarity. Yeah, that's

right. He's like, what about this switch? Ah,

reversing the polarity. Why didn't I think of

that? Yeah, why didn't you? Yeah, okay, what?

Oh Yes Grimlock reverse the polarity. It's like

help us Grimlock. You're our only hope Yes, yes.

Oh my god. Oh God, do you have any other synopsis

things to bring up? Okay Did you notice the interesting

art direction the interesting art direction you

mean who did the art direction or Well, you know

for the actual art itself everybody looks different

than normal this this had a very Transformers

the movie vibe to it In early on in the episode

you see the sweeps. They're they're they're taller

and skinnier than they've got kind of insectoid

wings Rodimus Prime the the the yellow kind of

crusty thing on his back In this one why she

go back and look at it, but I mean it's like

it's very it's very anime ish. It's very Narrow

and kind of flares out way wide over his shoulders

Ultra Magnus, the antennae he has, they're kind

of taller and skinnier. The Predacons, especially

Predaking, they look awesome. I mean, the Predacons

look like wild animals in robot mode, as opposed

to big blocky, you know, the toy -inspired bricks

that you normally see. Here, they look more like

animals. Predaking... On the other hand, you

know, he was normally very kind of squat and

boxy. And this one, he's very tall and lift.

He looks like he looks like a human proportion

person in Predaking Armor. No, it's just a very,

very cool look. And overall, you know, it reminded

me more of of the the art direction from the

movie. Like Nelson Shin got really, really woke

up with a hair up his ass and said, I want to

make something really cool today. Yeah. No, I

really didn't. I was surprised by that because

every other episode you're like, Rodimus was

the wrong color. Here it was the wrong one. Yeah.

He looked a lot different. Everybody looked a

lot different. To me, I mean, that kind of saved

the episode. The horrible story, uh, you know,

kind of ruined it for me, but the art direction

was superb. Alright, um, so are we gonna go under

our thoughts now, I guess? Yeah, sure why not.

Alright, up next is our thoughts on this episode.

Alright, now for our thoughts on Call of the

Primitives. Uh, what'd you think? On the one

hand, again, Unicron made by a monkey. It kills

me. I don't like the idea. But on the other hand,

on the good hand, as far as the scales go, I

really like the art direction. I like the fact

that there are a lot of characters in this one,

and there's a lot of personality to go around.

And it's fun and you know Grimlock kind of comes

comes into his own a little bit toward the end

I mean despite the fact that it's a it's kind

of a you know Jar Jar Binks stumbling successfully

through life type situation But you know he does

come in at the end and win Yes Yeah Grimlock

at first At first Grimlock is like, you know,

like you said before the big dumb German Shepherd

And yeah, and and now he's he's starting to use

What little brains he has and of course in the

next episode he will get an even bigger brain

Yeah So, you know I don't know how to feel about

this one. Yeah, I'm glad we have a backstory

for Unicron other than him just being there other

than him just showing up and Chewing up, you

know the side of a planet Even though the backstory

kind of sucked at least we have one for him,

even though it's a sucky one I mean it could

be infinitely better in the sense that You know

Simon Furman, you know and again, I'm not a huge

Simon Furman fan, but I do acknowledge everything

that he's done for the Transformers mythology,

and it's all fantastic things. But the way he

wrote it in original G1, he's the one that came

up with the Unicron versus Primus mythology,

in that in the beginning, There was Unicron,

and there was Primus, and they were like two

twin gods, one good and one evil, that were fighting

each other since the beginning of time. And Primus

was able to trap Unicron within a planet for

the time being, but he knew he would escape eventually.

So he turned himself into a big metal planet,

and that became Cybertron. and then he was able

to create the original 13 Transformers from that,

from himself, as part of himself, as the planet.

And then whatever else happened after that is

kind of superfluous, but what it came down to

is Unicron was also able to manipulate the planet

that he was trapped in over eons or whatnot,

and eventually he became the planet. You know

became Unicron flying around the galaxy or the

universe eating plant other planets Sorry for

the most part Unicron has always been and you

know always will be The planet gobbler the very

hungry planet gobbling Chaos bringer the dark

god of the Transformers. Yes, he was not You

know, repeat, not created by a monkey. Yeah,

I almost wish I had the clip at the beginning

of the movie. Oh, but let's look, it's Unicron!

What the hell are we gonna do now? It's like,

first we gotta find that little monkey fucker,

and then we're gonna stack it around the submission

and make it turn it off. This reminded me of

Forever's a long time coming and the reason why

I say that obviously is because you have the

same cause and effect and then reverse cause

and effect with the In forever's a long time

coming you had the time Chains the time streams

and then in this you had tornatron going across

worlds destroying them or darkening them and

then at the end When they hit the oh my fucking

god reverse switch You know and then everything

goes back to normal, you know, so they're they're

very similar I Hate to admit this but at 1 30

in the morning when there's nothing else on I

will turn on the Disney Channel and I will watch

a Kim Possible episode and one of the episodes

I watched was with some aliens and they have

an off switch for their death ray and the female

alien is like For years I've questioned the notion

of that accursed switch. This is the same thing

here. Why the hell would you have a reverse switch?

But the point is the monkey isn't fucking smart

enough to do it without the dumb fucking dinosaur

German Shepherd coming up and smashing shit.

That's the point. Yeah, I understand that but

I mean that's uh, you know, that's Grimlock That's

our Grimlock yes, that's that's our Grimlock

which this is this is Grimlock Cheesy 80s intro

that's a montage of all the characters and they

get a big cheesy grin. Yep it's torn and drawn

is what it is multi -pronged torn and drawn uh...

you know starts off as small and that ends up

eating plans and i'm thinking how cool is that

cuz you you know unicron was planet that ate

other planets and now you've got, you know, the

Unicron 2 .0, you know, essentially that's floating

around eating planets as well. But what threw

me off though is that, you know, Twinicron, wait

a minute, it's a giant spider. It's a giant planet

eating spiders. You know, and he kind of lands

on a planet and sucks all the energy out of it

and then off he goes and kind of crims you. What

confused me though is here, he's the size of

a planet and then he turns into an electric bolt

and flies off to the next planet. And then later

on when he's fighting the Autobots, it's number

one, not the size of a planet and number two,

not a giant planet. He changes shape into like

a dragon. couple other things yeah but I mean

the other thing is you gotta realize he's living

energy so he could technically change into anything

you wanted to well that's yeah but I mean I was

confused in the sense that is this tornatron

or is this like some type of planetary defenses

that primacron is made you know from the same

old let's see yeah I don't know it turns out

to be tornatron but I just wasn't sure at first

because number one it's a lot smaller And number

two, it doesn't look anything like it. I don't

remember. You said something a second ago about,

oh yeah, no, I remember now, about the giant

spider sucking up the planet's energy. And what

I can think of is in Revenge of the Fallen, when

I first saw the scene with Ravage where he's

spitting stuff down the pipe, I thought he was

sucking stuff up through the pipe. I'm like,

what is he doing? He's like... you know i didn't

think he was spitting stuff out i thought he

was sucking stuff up through the pipe but anyway

that's a totally different topic or anyway we

are not going to get into that yeah or it could

be something else but anyway not going there

not going there yeah we're not going there There's

a lot of people out there who really love ravage

and Yeah, they're gonna show up at your house.

Hey, I didn't do it. I just I Didn't move me.

I just made the observation. That's all You have

any other thoughts on call of the primitives

Commander modesty is here. Well when Skylinks

showed up. Skylinks is like, I'm here to save

your sorry asses once again, there's only I can

do. They said, oh great, Commander Modesty's

here. And later on in the episode, everyone's

following Skylinks around like, you know, he

knows what he's doing because everyone else is

dumb, essentially. You know, they're all primitive,

quote unquote. And it becomes, you know, what

would Skylinks do? WWSD bracelet Don't do anything

what I wouldn't do and I won't what would starlings

do? He wouldn't get his ass Gray Gray ass I'm

trying to think what but his ass what exactly

his what's that thing is he sucked the energy

out of Skylinks wouldn't have his ass, so...

Oh, okay. All right. On that note, we're gonna

go on to the final episode today. With some Autobots,

you have to explain everything. Using my teeth,

I severed the connections, thereby breaking the

electrical circuit. Grimlock, is that you talking?

You are all my new creations. I, Grimlock, shall

call you the Technobots. Yahoo! It feels great!

Brave! Far out! Fantastic! I'm after Burner!

I'm raring to burn neutrons and see some heavy

action! No, out after Burner. Says who? They

call me Lightspeed, faster than the speeding

photon. And you, Scattershot, shall be the leader

of the Technobots. But I thought you were our

leader. No, Scattershot. I won't be of use to

you much longer. No way! You built us! You're

a genius, Grimlock! We can't survive without

you! You can, and you will. Go now. The Autobots

need your help. What do we do, Grimlock? The

Terracons turned into a giant! Do not fear Abominus,

for you have the power to become Computron! My

computation capacity is nearly infinite. Yet,

I lack the intelligence to feed my capacity.

Neil Computron. You will now receive my intelligence,

Computron. And I will return to my former state.

But Grimlock... Superintelligence is the only

way you can defeat Abominus' brute force. It's

the only way. All right, finally up today we

have Grimlock's new brain and According to the

booklet this episode was written by Paul Davids

Two alien saboteurs, agents of the Decepticons,

infiltrate the new power core on Cybertron and

overload it with volatile anti -electrons. Four

Autobots investigate and successfully stop the

power surge, but in fixing the problem Grimlock

receives an enormous power surge and gains super

intelligence. The Autobots track the anti -electrons

to Unicron's head where a showdown with the Decepticons

inspires Grimlock to build new reinforcements.

It's more relevant for Transformers. It's relevant

because Grimlock is his new supergeniosity. You

keep inventing words for this show. Supergeniosity?

What the hell? That's actually from a gore song,

sorry. Supergeniosity. You people can tell how

old this man is. What? The worst thing about

this is what, 1992? They're still touring, I

think. Oh, anyway. So we begin this one with

the Autobots unveiling a new energy core. Another

one. Again, another one. Is this the third one

or the fourth one? This is the second one, actually.

No, they had another one earlier. Right. The

power core that they had to jettison in The Dweller.

But this is the second one after that. No, they

had a... no this is the third one they had another

one where uh... uh... this was recently and they

were just saying oh it's gonna power the entire

sector it wasn't one of those in a power the

entire planet like the one of the dollar but

uh... it was definitely going to uh... i don't

know this is the only the second one that i noticed

uh... rodimus went over it with grimlock on which

button to press but the dumb dino still doesn't

does get uh... still gets it wrong setting off

a few alarms The same race of thieves throughout

this season breaks into a chair on Cybertron,

and his goon, who was seen in an earlier episode,

the gambler, is carrying a vial of something.

The little green dude. The little dude that talks

kinda like this, but you can't really understand

what the hell he's saying. I couldn't understand

what he was saying. I don't think it was English.

No, I know it wasn't English, but I was using

the inflection for the voice. Yeah, I was using

I was trying to use the inflection for the voice

to try to sound like him even though He didn't

speak English. You're right. He doesn't but it's

the same It's the same character that was in

the episode the gambler back in I think it was

season two Kenny Rogers. No Okay, okay that was

completely fucking random Enter the forklift

of The forklift of randomness. Yeah, a few people

might get that reference. Only old people. Well,

you are one of those, so... The Autobots are

malfunctioning and Teletran 2 tells them what

is going on. They must get to the power core

of the planet to shut it down, apparently. As

I said in the synopsis from the booklet, uh...

Galvatron has these two goons go to Cybertron

and inject anti -electrons into the planet. On

the way there Grimlock breaks Perceptor's electro

map and runs off saying that the Autobots don't

want him anymore because he is stupid. So okay,

you have Grimlock kind of being smart in the

last episode and in this episode he reverts down

to his German Shepherd self. For the most part...

Well, Grimlock was being smart in the last episode.

Well... He just kind of stumbled in the right

direction and happened to you know Right button

at the last possible second. Yeah, you got lucky.

Whereas here. He's not very lucky No, he's back

in the stumbling down holes with Daniel on his

back and ending up in Daniel was not in this

episode. Thank God. But anyway, right? I miss

things cups after grew after him While he and

ultra Magnus attempt to locate the energy core

Grimlock and Cup find the energy core and Cup

is feeling its effects. So Grimlock smashes it

and chews up the wires. This gives Grimlock a

super burst of energy or electroshock or whatever.

We're not doing supergeniosity here. This makes

Grimlock's personality change. He becomes smarter

than every other Autobot including Perceptor.

He becomes a snob. Yes, ain't that the truth.

They figure out where the anti -electrons planted

within the generator. The mercenary that is working

for Galvatron tells him that there is only one

other place to find anti -electrons, and that

is inside Unicron's brain. Yes, Brains. The DinoBots

don't like the change in Grimlock's personality,

and they go hunting alone. I mean, yeah, we saw

the DinoBots last episode, but we didn't really

see how stupid the rest of them are compared

to Grimlock, even when Grimlock is stupid. Yeah,

they're like a bag of spanners. Yeah, they're

just there. They're cool, but they're just not

very bright. Yes, the battle between the Autobots

and Decepticons rages inside Unicron's head,

and the anti -electrons have overtaken the Autobots

again Grimlock wanders off during the battle.

Grimlock creates Nosecone. Okay, was there ever

a toy of Nosecone? Yeah. Okay, I don't know,

just having a drill for a Transformatoid, I don't

know, it just doesn't... I don't know, it doesn't

seem natural to me, but whatever. C1 actually

had more than one drill. Did they really? There

was a Power Dasher. There was three different

mail -away Power Dasher toys. One of them was

a car, one of them was a jet, and one of them

was a drill. Well, I mean, as far as the show

goes. Oh, okay. And then there was Nose Cone.

And yeah, there was a Nose Cone toy. I have one,

but the Nose Cone broke off. You broke his drill?

The drill broke off, yeah, he's been emasculated.

God. Yeah, so I kinda, well... Talk about a...

Oh, Christ, I can't believe I'm about to say

this, but I have to finish this thought. Talk

about a horribly wrong circumcision. Oh. He had

his drill removed. Oh, Jesus. Oh, no, yeah, that

was a nose cone toy. He's not as tall, though.

In the cartoon, he's really tall. The Decepticons

awaken Unicron in a bigger battle starts Grimlock

creates the Technobots strafe Afterburner, Lightspeed,

Nosecone, and Scattershot. These five merge to

become Computron. Wow, I can't do that voice

for anything. Computron defeats Abominus and

the Decepticons retreat. Okay, it should be noticed,

or it should be said, I wrote that before I wrote

this next part. Computron received Grimlock's

super intelligence and now Grimlock is the way

he's always been. In order for the Computron

to defeat Abominus, uh... grimlock does transfer

the superintelligence uh... to uh... computer

on so uh... yeah and the episode uh... let's

see back on cybertron ronimus wants to thank

grimlock for his partner accomplishing the defeat

of the decepticons but he's fishing with the

other dinobots so yeah grimlock's back to his

dumb self again he's no longer a snob Yes, exactly

the episode ends with Grimlock saying it no fun

to be genius all of time Me just glad to be same

old Dinobot Grimlock Does he say Dinobot Grimlock?

Yeah, just Grimlock. No, he says I I actually

wrote it down word for word I was wondering if

it was more of a copyright issue at that point,

but probably not I Don't know Grimlock says I'm

much happier being dumb as a brick Do you have

any thoughts on the story for this final episode

or do you want to just move on to our thoughts

overall? Well, I mean aside from the terra cons

being back That was very cool. Yeah, and then

you know, of course you mentioned earlier that

you know every combiner team You know and city

mode our city robot needs a foil. Yeah, so, you

know now we get the the Technobots. I was really

surprised you didn't complain about this, but

Grimlock didn't have Vector Sigma handy when

he created these. Is that your voice of disgust?

No. This is me choking on something that went

down the wrong way. You can't breathe chocolate

cake. Well, you're the one that tried to inhale

it so Yes, I wish I had some chocolate cake I

can inhale but anyway Anyways, um, I didn't really

notice it and really before I even rewatched

this episode I thought this was another one of

those Another one of those ones where it says,

you know, oh they've been reunited with friends

across the galaxy like skylinks You know, whatever

so I really didn't pay any attention to it So

I'm not I'm not really sure yet. No one I know

he builds them personalities I'm not sure where

that came from no clue But you know, then again,

we've already gone through the whole plot exposition

of you know vector Sigma in the in the past So,

I don't know. Oh, I don't know either. I don't

think it was that big a deal. I mean, it's a

very good story. It's interesting how they came

to be. Yeah. But, you know, I just thought that

was something that you would have picked up on.

Well, I guess not. Yeah, surprisingly not. All

right, so I think we're going to move on to our

thoughts. All right, and this is our thoughts

on the final episode today Grimlock's new brain.

I like this one. I think it's The story kind

of lags in places, but You know, it was the introduction

of a new team Which is pretty cool. I thought

nose cone was kind of cool. I think I think my

actual favorite out of the five Was it light

speed? Isn't he one of them? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.

I like light speed One thing I don't understand

is where I don't know if you remember rebirth

I don't know how fondly or how vividly you remember

rebirth, but in rebirth optimus prime tells oh

No, never mind. It was fast landing cloud raker.

I thought it was light speed. Never mind. That's

two totally different. Okay, never mind What'd

you think the change in Grimlock. I thought that

was kind of neat. They kind of delved into it.

Not just, oh, Grimlock's smart now, but Grimlock's

a snob. Grimlock is snubbing all of his friends.

Grimlock is knocking on Perceptor. I was like,

yeah, yeah, I'm smarter than you. And they really

kind of fleshed out Grimlock as a super intelligent

being. Oh, yeah. Then he goes and wanders off

on his own and says, you know, I'd love to help

you guys fight Seeing as though I'm you know

number 10 on the tech spec scale for fighting

But instead I'm gonna wander over here on my

own for a few minutes and create new Autobots

Better yet, I'll create a combiner What I didn't

like was that the art direction went back From

you know what we had in the previous episode.

Yeah So everybody looks You know the same as

they did before the last episode which wasn't

that good Well, I should say wasn't that good

but not as good as the last episode. Yeah, it's

really spectacular and on top of that The artwork

for unicorns head looks like complete yeah does

It didn't look like a head. No, it didn't at

all. It was really bad. Yes, it was very much

so. It wasn't all that impressive. No, the artwork

for, you know, the Technobots wasn't awful. No.

It wasn't anything to write home about, but I

mean, it wasn't all that bad. But again, I think,

you know, given the fact that the episode, you

know, there wasn't a whole lot to it. It could

have really benefited from better art. Yeah,

it could have the story was was good. It was

good to see that Grimlock had you know They did

give him some sort of a story because I mean

if you think about it the dinobots even throughout

the entire g1 cartoon There they don't have much

to do grip. Okay set their stupidity aside set

their very simple intelligence aside They never

have really that much to do it's basically you

know when the Autobots are in trouble Dinobots

go in and smash everything up to save them and

and you know Grimlock even says that in you know

the first couple of seasons oh Dinobots have

to save Autobots again you know um so I mean

it was nice seeing that one of them could have

some sort of story You know, yeah, we saw some,

you know, sort of story with the Dinobots with

the rest of the primitives in Call of the Primitives,

but this was basically a Grimlock story for the

most part, and I kind of liked it for that. Yeah.

Yeah, I mean, if we had an extra 15, 20 minutes,

we could, you know, delve into a B story. Where

the Dinobots off on their own without Grimlock

because he's being a snob, you know kind of say

hey What do you want to do today? I don't know.

Let's uh, you know wander around and see what

kind of adventures we could get into But seeing

as though we don't have an extra 20 minutes to

talk about them All we get is a quick five seconds

of them fishing in a pool Yeah One minute they're

fishing for metal fish and one minute they're

fishing for organic fish. They don't really seem

to care You know the ecosystem in this little

pool there and seems to handle it. So yeah Seeing

as though it's a metal planet. They really shouldn't

be too much in the way of pools Swamps or you

know, I kind of envisioned it as a primordial

swamp that the dinosaurs are in Yeah, but I mean

it it all goes back to again and you know I mean,

we can nitpick these cartoons to death, but it

all goes back to the fact that this was aimed

at kids. And I don't think kids are going to

know... They don't care. Yeah, they don't care.

They just want to see the Dinobots fight. That's

all. But, you know, yeah, that's true. I would

say, though, that even a little kid would watch

Rodimus Prime transforming a hot rod and go,

waaaaaah? You know, where's this trailer? Where's

the matrix? Yeah. He left it on his desk or something.

Next to his keys. You were on him as Prime hater.

No, did you notice he transformed into Hot Rod?

Yeah, I did. I hate him. Hate him! He's not Prime.

And we're gonna find out in episode 22 just how

much better Prime is. Yes. Just before they kill

him again. No, I don't! Shut the fuck up! What

the hell is wrong with you? They do not! Yeah,

it's that Transformers without Prime death. No,

they, uh, well, uh, technically, uh, what happened

was, was, I don't know who animated Season 3,

but when they came back for Rebirth, they sent

that animation to Canada, and the Canadians killed

Optimus Prime, because the fucking colors in

Rebirth are godawful! I'm sorry to any of you

Canadian animators or you know amateur animators

But the professionals apparently did not know

what the fuck optimus prime is supposed to look

like Are you gonna have a we're gonna do a whole

episode on Reaper? Yeah That's episode 24. That'll

be exciting. Oh shit Do you have any more final

or more thoughts on Good Grimlock's new brain

I was trying to the fact that I forgot the scattershot

had a cannon mode oh really yeah and then you

know they're introducing skits like what the

hell is that it's scattershot and look I've got

a cannon mode oh that's right oh we crap he's

got a kid of mode See, I didn't remember until

I just looked at the little script I had, but

I didn't remember that Scattershot was part of

the Technobots. I thought it was him, and what's

the name? Ah, shit. What is his name? The Decepticon

version. Ah, shit. The Decepticon version of

Scattershot? Yeah, well, no. Six Shooter? Yeah,

Six Shot! Oh, you thought Scattershot was the

Autobot 16? Yeah. Oh, no, that's... Hell. What's

his name? I don't know. He's on my shelf. I'm

looking right at him. I hate it when this happens.

You know, folks, it's pretty fucking bad when

you have a Transformers fan who has like a whole

fucking room of toys and he has the toy that

we're talking about staring him right in the

fucking face and he can't think of the name of

the thing. I've got over 2 ,000 of them. I can't

remember the name of them. I think his name is

Six Switch. Oh, okay. Whatever. Yeah. Six Switch.

But no, for some odd reason, I thought Scattershot

and Sixshot were supposed to be the six changers,

or whatever. I don't know. Oh, I see. Yeah. Because

the names sound the same. Scattershot and Sixshot.

It sounds the same. to me a little bit. Yeah.

No, his name is Quickswitch. Oh, Quickswitch.

Not Sixswitch, it was Quickswitch. Yeah, he was

a really crappy toy anyway, and I don't think

he showed up at all in the cartoons, unless he

pops up in Rebirth somewhere, and I just don't

remember. Who? Quickswitch? Quickswitch. No,

I don't know. The only reason why I know about

Sixshot is he shows up in Rebirth, I think. Oh,

yeah. Well, Sixshot's pretty cool. Yeah. The

whole character is pretty neat but five up five

down. It's like shooting cyber ducks in a barrel

Yeah, he's kind of interesting but I don't remember

a quick switch being in the cartoon at all Yeah,

just like those generic Twins that they released

as toys. I don't think we're ever in the cartoon

twin twist and what was the other one top spinner?

Yeah, the jump starters. I hated those toys.

I had them and I hated them. I destroyed them.

robots they were yeah yeah anyway anyways do

do we have any other final thoughts on rimlocks

new brain uh... you know like uh... post -new

brain grimlock somewhat without thought him michael

wilson just want to be good old michael wilson

dino bot I'm not sure if I have any other like

history audio. I don't think I do I think the

last one I had was in the last episode I'm not

really sure uh... so they start overlap well

there's only like six of them as far as the history

audios so i think they're done uh... in the episodes

themselves because they repeat different ones

yeah they start to overlap at the end of every

episode but uh... so yeah we're gonna head into

some ads I'm Stan Bush and I dare you to listen
