Botcon 2011 Transformers Animated The Stunti-Con Job Puggleformers

Botcon 2011 Puggleformers

The Stunti-Con Job

In March of 2011 after all the early announcements for the Botcon 2011 set I asked Callykarishokka if I could place a large commission order. This order would be paid in two payments, and she would have eight months to complete the task. So that’s where the idea for these puggles came from. I currently have 25 puggles! I love these things! Honestly puggle collecting has taken over my toy collecting when it comes to Transformers. I’d much rather pay Cally to have something custom made, then going out buying action figures that I’d sell 2 or 3 months down the line! Each of these are very awesome in their own right, and now we are gonna break it down. First we’ll do the Stunti-Cons.

First up in the Stunti-Puggles is Dead End:

FUNCTION: Warrior

“We are all just food for rust.”

The dark and dreary Dead End believes in nothing beyond the sheer pointlessness of existence. His nihilistic world view drives him to perform increasingly dangerous stunts in pursuit of even a fleeting thrill. He has been known to throw himself in the line of fire. Theatrically morose, he considers his Autobot shell the height of ironic fashion and composes poetry so bleak as to be farcical. His mini bazookas are nigh-undetectable when stowed.

Jazz was the prefect mold to do a Dead End Figure of !!!!

Now onto Breakdown:

FUNCTION: Scout

“Keep your optical sensors to yourself!”

Profoundly unlucky and saddled with an inferiority complex, Breakdown’s all consuming paranoia runs so rampant that it often distracts him and causes accidents, becoming a self fulfilling prophecy. He takes out his frustrations on others to cover for his own insecurities. His bow fires sonic disruptor arrows that scramble mechanical circuits.

I’m not sure if I wanted Wildrider as the Rodimus mold or Breakdown. It does fit and the breakdown toy itself is awesome. I still would have loved to see a Wildrider Rodimus toy.

Up next is Drag Strip:

FUNCTION: Warrior

“The first one to cross the finish line lives!”

Drag Strip is angry that the Autobots control Cybertron that she has to take orders from those windbags The Motor Master and Wildrider, and that she was protoformed in a wimpy looking autobot shell; which fuels her already high lust for violence. New laser swords are well suited for carving her name in anybots armor, but those aggravating the fem-brawler-bot should expect to receive a headbutt between the optics, and a swift kick to the exhaust port.

I love the Drag Strip toy, even though it’s a repainted Arcee it is awesome. The red Swords on the toy kick ass!

Up Next Is Wildrider

FUNCTION: Pyrotechnics Director

“Either you’re out of my way or you’re out of luck!”

Making things explode spectacularly is an art form to Wildrider. He is always brainstorming bigger, badder, louder, and more dangerous looking stunts., and he’s got the processing power to coordinate them flawlessly. The Stunticons execute them without a scorchmark, but woe be to anyone behind them. Now that he’s got a phlogiston-reactor flamethrower and a chaos-crystal-edged chainsaw in both robot and vehicle modes, there’s lots of new carnage to spread around!

The Wildrider toy is an amazing repaint, reuse of blazing lockdown! The face on this toy is amazing!

And here is The Motor Master!!!!

FUNCTION: Stunticon Leader

“These wheels are made for crushing!”

The Motor Master brings vanity to a whole new level. He annoys the stunticons (and everyone else) with bombastic proclamations and his habit of referring to himself in the third person. Secretly, he is insecure about his place among the much larger Decepticons. He has reinforced trauma buffers and shock absorbers, making him likely to survive any collision. His greatest weakness is the disloyalty he inspires in those under his command.

Box head puggle!!!!!!! There was a early thought in the fandom that the box head Motor Master would be used with the Wreck-Gar mold. I know Michael Wilson would have loved that, but motormaster has always been a evil version of Optimus Prime.

Hatchling Cliffjumper no like sitting in THE Motor Master’s Boxhead!

Now we are gonna move onto the two other characters I got Cally to make puggles of.

First up is Sideswipe of the Cybertronian Police Force!

FUNCTION: Investigator

“You break the rules, you answer to me!”

A hard boiled, hard hitting, hard fighting bot who’s been around the block and seen it all. Underneath all his bluster though, he is the same idealistic autobot that has been serving in one capacity or another for millions of stellar cycles. Incredibly observant; he misses nothing and forgets even less. He has little patience with those that act before they think, perhaps because it reminds him of his own lost youth.

Cally had a dilemma in making this guy. She wasn’t sure to black or white on the top and sides of Sideswipe’s face. She went with black, and I’m very happy with that.

And last but certainly not least we have Toxitron!

FUNCTION: Decoy

“Subjugation am not right of all insentient beings”

Toxitron was the first attempt by Doctor Scalpel and Oil Slick to protoform a warrior in an autobot shell. The failed experiment produced a bizarre duplicate of Optimus Prime with immense strength, corrosive toxic sludge cannons, a hopelessly stunted intellect, and a penchant for driving backwards in vehicle mode. Fortunately for the Decepticons the data from this mishap lead to greater success with projects Stunticon and Nemesis Prime.

Toxitron is awesome!!! I wish I had the toy, but having him in puggle form is just as good.

In closing this set was well worth the wait. Cally put her heart and soul into each and every one of these puggles. As she does with all the puggles she makes. I thank her for allowing me to place this order, and you should be checking her Deviant Art out!!!! Go There NOW!!!!!
