Guest Media Release Agreement

For single-appearance guests and interviewees

Thank you for appearing on a GeekCast Radio Network program. This agreement gives GeekCast Radio Network, LLC (“GCRN”) the permissions it needs to record, publish, distribute, and archive your appearance, while treating you fairly as a guest. Please read it before signing.

1. Permission to Record and Distribute. You grant GCRN permission to record your appearance in all formats, including audio, video, livestream captures, photographs, transcripts (human or automated), derivative media, and promotional excerpts. You authorize GCRN to edit, reproduce, publish, distribute, broadcast, rebroadcast, display, archive, monetize, and promote your appearance across all current and future media platforms. This permission is worldwide, perpetual, and royalty-free.

2. Use of Name, Voice, and Likeness. You grant GCRN permission to use your name, voice, likeness, biography, statements, and opinions, along with any materials you provide, for the purpose of recording, distributing, promoting, and archiving GCRN content.

3. Ownership of the Recording. You acknowledge and agree that the recording of your appearance — including all edits, remasters, compilations, transcripts, promotional excerpts, and derivative works — is the sole property of GeekCast Radio Network, LLC. To the extent any contribution you make would not otherwise be owned by GCRN, you hereby assign and, in the alternative, grant GCRN a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use it within the recording and related promotional materials.

4. Reasonable Edit Requests. GCRN retains full editorial control over the recording. As a courtesy, you may request reasonable minor edits, such as removal of a specific statement or a sensitive personal detail. GCRN will make a good-faith effort to accommodate timely and feasible requests, but is not obligated to modify or remove a published episode and may decline at its discretion.

5. Use of AI Production Tools. You consent to GCRN’s use of artificial intelligence tools, including generative AI, in the production, editing, transcription, marketing, and promotion of GCRN content. This may include using AI to analyze, clean up, enhance, caption, clip, or otherwise process your recorded voice, image, and contributions. GCRN agrees that such tools will not be used to materially alter the content, meaning, tone, or character of the words you actually spoke, and will not be used to fabricate statements or actions you did not make.

6. No Compensation. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, your participation is voluntary and unpaid. You waive any claim to royalties, residuals, or future compensation arising from the recording, distribution, monetization, or promotion of your appearance.

7. Release of Liability. You release GCRN and its owners, hosts, contributors, contractors, and agents from claims arising out of the recording, editing, distribution, publicity, listener or viewer reactions, social media reposting, commentary, or promotional use of your appearance, except for claims that cannot be waived under applicable law.

8. Representations. You affirm that you are participating willingly, are at least eighteen years old, have the legal right to grant this release, will speak truthfully to the best of your knowledge, and will not knowingly disclose confidential or copyrighted material belonging to others.

9. Governing Law. This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, and any disputes will be resolved exclusively in Colorado state or federal courts. Where practical, the parties will first attempt to resolve any concern through written communication before pursuing formal legal action.

10. Entire Agreement. This release is the complete and exclusive agreement between you and GCRN regarding your appearance and supersedes any prior understandings.

11. Severability. If any provision of this agreement is found to be invalid, void, or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and all remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

12. Electronic Acceptance. By signing digitally, typing your name, or checking an acceptance box in an online form, you agree that this release is legally binding under the federal ESIGN Act and the Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (UETA).
