ToyCast
Toaster Bot and Mighty Mugs Soundwave

About this Episode
Cliffjumper, commence countdown! Five, four,
three, two, one! Ha ha welcome to transformers
toy cast episode 22. I am TFD1 Mike and I'm joined
by Peek on court Michael. Hello. Hey, how's it
going? It's going first. I didn't think that
the Call recorder was actually gonna work to
hit the record button and then nothing happened
It's also so yay It actually hasn't been that
long since we recorded 21 has it? No, I don't
think so a couple of days or something. I don't
know Think we normally record things on like
a Friday and yeah normally Thursday well not
Thursday because those are my nights. I think
we did Wednesday Friday. I don't know something
like that. I don't know Let's see here Yeah,
I'm not liking any of the themes anymore and
just I may just go back to just having just the
regular TF themes and without anything in between
them because I completely, you know, at first
I thought your idea of putting the transition
in was going to be cool. I hated it. And you
didn't float it around for other people to listen
to to see what they thought? Well, episode 21
is out. I mean, it's in that episode. I haven't
heard that one yet. My iPhone decided to Conveniently
forget all of my applications and podcasts as
I remember used to either tweeting about that
or Facebooking about that. Yeah that that sucks
Yeah, so I finally got everything put back the
way I wanted it and then when I went to go play
the podcast I had no podcast because I had recinct
after I downloaded them all over again Yeah,
that sucked. Oh, that's that's really weird Ooh,
what is it? What's weird? Tell me. Well, tonight
I am, I mean, we're technically still in general
chat, and I haven't gotten to the review, but
I'm going to be talking about Mighty Mugs Soundwave
tonight. And you know how in the last review
I told you that the heads can move 360? Uh -huh.
I almost said 365 again. I can't believe you
didn't call me out on that last episode because
I kept saying it 365 instead of 360. I've got
his head like turned around to the back so his
face is facing his back but if you turn it to
the right it's almost like it's not jointed but
it's like there's a block there. At first I couldn't
do it and then of course I can now obviously
but I mean... Just just I'm always just let's
see what else is going on uh... we actually uh...
starting this episode we will have new artwork
i'm not going to be saying what that artwork
is i will tell you off the air you pretty much
already know but you don't know the whole compassing
of it uh... it's pretty much halloween -based
and it's probably going to be the main artwork
for toycast for a while because honestly i'm
as much as good artwork is steve does i'm really
not digging The original toy cast art that we
have so I think I'm going to have him change
it on the feed So it will be the official like
Art for the show so every time you download it'll
be it'll be the same I thought about doing different
art each episode because I mean once the once
the main artist set for the RSS feed I can I
can attach and I and Rewrite ID three tags for
any photo that I want for that individual episode
So, I don't know. I thought about it. I don't
know. I haven't really had a final decision on
it or not, but yeah, I don't know. Well, that's
interesting because before, not long ago, you
were telling me that, oh, I don't know how to
do that. And now you do know how to do that,
which is neat. You're learning things. What I
would say is find a... Graphic that you like
that you want to stick with for the cover, right?
And then you know every for each week. You can
cobble together You know some type of graphic
to go on the podcast itself with Whatever two
or three or four figures you review in it, right?
Well see you know my main thing is I like showing
stuff that is from Transformers is obviously
the stretchers toy cast and the whole point is
that we talk about toys on this show So that's
why the original Shattered glass the the figure
of shattered glass optimus prime with transformers
toycasts You know splashed on on top of it, and
I just don't like the way that the title looks
and yeah, I want to Want to get a more you know
clearer image I guess you could say because if
you look at the transformers toycast art as it
is now the lettering for toycast looks like I
feel like Gavin Drew with crayons on the wall.
I'm not saying that that's a bad thing, but it
just looks like so. I don't know, just the lettering.
I don't know, it just doesn't make me happy at
all. I don't know. I mean, I'm not saying anything
against Steve at all. He does great artwork.
I mean, we have 12 or 13 shows, and the artwork
that he does is awesome. I think when I had him
do the toy cast art, I was also having him do
a whole bunch of other stuff. This was before
TFZ1 ended. So I think he was getting a little
burnt out and said, oh, fuck it, I don't care.
That's the way it's going to be. Which is fine.
I mean, it's more than fine. I mean, it's hard.
Actually, I take care of a majority of the recording,
editing, everything for most of the shows outside
of all things Transformers and Headshot, honestly.
I mean, I do M -Wire. I do Tooncast. I do...
What's the other show? Shit. Oh, well, this show,
obviously. And I just run it all through iTunes.
It's so much easier. After I get the record files
and whatever audio I want to put in outside of
the themes, like say I want to put in, I don't
know, the battle scene between Optimus and Megatron
from TFTM. You know, as long as I have that audio
clip, I just play it through iTunes, record it
through Audacity, and that's that. And I and
you know the audacity recording is the actual
final final edit of it and Recording through
Pamela call recorder is a much much easier Than
having to record two different audacity tracks
and having to mesh them because that's something
I don't think I will ever learn how to do without
screwing it up a Piece of cake All right, maybe
I'll have you start editing from now on Actually,
I do want to bring something up to you. I wanted
to bring this up to you on air because Something
that Steve and I had talked about off -air morning
About the beast unleashed podcast We were discussing
on who we wanted to have on the entire show and
I had a thought that We could do Something very
very cool, and of course you joined TFG one in
episode 14 Steve joined in episode 10, so what
I was thinking was the I guess you could call
us the terrible trio can return to review the
entire Beast Wars Beastman podcast So did just
be the three of us throughout the entire show
If you want to that's more than fine. You don't
want to that's fine, too So yeah Haha, I'm gonna
leave you hanging on that one You know Steve
is very knowledgeable. I know he is and and His
deep knowledge of beast wars intimidates me Well,
I mean yeah, we need the comic relief basically
though You know, that would be very cool. We'll
have to talk about scheduling and such. Well,
I mean, you know, it would be the same as TFG
-1. Really, whatever. It probably would be a
Thursday or a Friday night. Actually, well, it
wouldn't be Thursday. It most likely would be
a Friday night. Most likely. I don't know what
his... I mean, yeah, we're going to have to talk
about scheduling, off -air, stuff like that.
But I believe, Steve and I, when we originally
set that up, it was to be a weekly. If it can't
be weekly, we can always do it bi -weekly, which
is more than fine. The only the only you holding
that show up is me actually having the Beast
Wars DVDs because I don't have those oh Yeah,
well, I mean you're a stickler for actually owning
and holding the yeah DVDs in hand so I Have no
such problems Yeah, you don't care about going
to YouTube or wherever to find illegal downloads
uh... well i don't know already i mean it's not
as if i needed to download them illegally but
i don't have a problem with uh... going back
and watching them on youtube it's a lot easier
than loading up the dvds well see for me you
know just pop a dvd in a computer and watch whatever
episodes that that we're gonna watch and and
and that's it you know when i make notes and
whatever as as i go along but uh... actually
it's really really funny because rhino still
owns the rights for uh... the stores dvds you
can actually go to rhino dot com and find them
pretty much msrp like fifty nine ninety nine
and whatnot they're not like on sale it's like
you're getting a deal but at least you outside
of cuz i've tried finding them for cheap on ebay
Because I will not buy DVDs on eBay. I will either
buy shrink wrap brand new DVDs on eBay or you
know slightly not really used used but like like
new type of deal But I've been trying to find
them on eBay for a decent price, and I just can't
I said okay well wait a minute I I had a promotional
thing from the beast machine set that I have
and says oh you can get these at Rhino rhino
.com was like oh cool so I went over there and
lo and behold they still have on sale so eventually
maybe with my November pay I can get maybe one
or two seasons or something I don't know my original
goal for that show is to start it before the
end of 2009 at this point I don't think that's
gonna happen unless the big fat guy in the red
suit brings them to me which I seriously doubt
So yeah One never knows yes one that one never
never knows Actually toy cast the format won't
be changing as far as how we do You know our
just our general discussion here, and then of
course we start talking about the toys But I've
been thinking you and I had did a little video
chat pre -show on Skype And I'm thinking about
doing pre -show stuff pre -show recordings beforehand
and Just including them in the episode as a bonus
before the actual show So basically you would
hear theme pre -show actual show and then theme
Maybe we'll see Okay, so what's been going on
with you? You had a story in the last episode
after we started stopped recording that you wanted
to tell everybody Something about Aidan trying
to get into your Your your micro genes. Oh Yeah,
I you know, I actually was gonna write up a blog
post about that and it's there's a draft of it
on my website right now and hadn't actually finished
it yet, but about a week ago, you know Aidan
decides that he wants to play with some of the
transformers in in my display shelves and You
know, I've got I've got a lot of shelves. It's
basically large oak shelves with plexiglass doors.
And so you can see through to the collection.
And it's got interior lights and such. It's neat.
It took a fairly long time to build it. But it's
about 12 feet wide by 6 feet tall by about 2
feet deep. And it holds the majority of my transformers.
And Aidan now is starting to point into, you
know, the G1 collection and say, I want that
one. I'm like, no, you can't. He likes construction
vehicles. And right now, he's nose level with
my MicroMasters display shelf. And he sees, and
I couldn't tell you the name, but there's a bulldozer.
in there that he wants to play with. It's an
orange bulldozer. Again, I don't know the MicroMasters
that well, so I couldn't tell you the name. I
own them all, but I don't know their individual
names. But he's like, I want that one. And it's
like, well, no, you can't have that one. And
he's throwing a fit because I'm not going to
open it. And I built these back in 2006. And
when I built them, I specifically wanted to put
locks on the doors. Because I knew, eventually,
Gavin wasn't even born yet. And Aidan was, I
think, either just born or very, very young.
Or maybe Chrissy was still pregnant. I forget
when we built these. You said you built them
in 06. How old is Aidan now? Three. Okay, so
that's three years ago. So it's at some point
either. She was still pregnant or he was just
born. Oh, yeah The basement was a big project
and she was pregnant for most of it I remember
because we were gonna paint it's like you can't
paint when you're pregnant paint fumes and yeah,
you know, she's a trooper she pulled through
But yeah So I knew that I wanted to put locks
on these doors, because I knew eventually we'd
need them. So I just recently had to start locking
the doors, which is a shame. Because I mean,
no, I don't want to reaching in and mangling
these MicroMasters. The shelf directly below
the MicroMasters has Fort Max, Tripticon, Metroplex.
The bigger ones. Yeah, the bigger items in my
collection are in the shelf directly below it
So so yeah, I could definitely see him after
ransacking my micro machine or micro masters
then going in and dragging for max out He's about
the same size Still you get the idea. Yeah. Oh,
yeah Yeah Yeah, I've actually been thinking now
that I because now that I have the mighty mug
stuff I baked cuz I If I can if I'm able to save
boxes I will like like with these I mean these
are these are like high -end quality boxes. They're
not like You know in store shelving on peg. Yeah,
not like It's not a card. They were made to be
displayed in the box. Well yeah, I mean obviously,
but obviously I want them out of the box, but
I mean, I still kept the actual box itself. I
didn't keep the actual interior, you know, the
plastic that held them in, but I like having
the boxes. And now that I have them, I actually
have all four of them, because I have, as I said
before, I have all four of the wave ones. I have...
Have my botcon 08 bucks on my on the top of my
shelf in my in my second bedroom So I put these
I kind of like felt with my finger how wide the
botcon box was and how wide these things are
and I put Two and then two on top of the first
two so It looks like my TF collection is like
almost going all the way up to the ceiling with
boxes Even though it's only six boxes it well
yeah for four for the Mighty Mugs well five and
one for the BotCon But just my my top shelf of
the shelf that my my uncle Patrick built for
my mom way back When I mean this thing is like
a family heirloom now it's like real dark cherry
wood oak or or something i i i don't know it's
it's something i don't know uh... but he like
built this from scratch it's just been this thing
where it's you know we have to have it wherever
we go because it's basically as i become family
heirloom well that whole top shelf of that is
nothing but my transformer stuff my animated
stuff my shattered glass stuff uh... my g one
prime astro train my nemesis prime Galvatron
universe cyclonus, you know stuff like that,
but I'm running on a shelf space so I say I was
thinking about getting floating ships and Just
because I mean those are fairly easy to install
as far as you know they won't leave marks in
the wall unless you install them wrong and You
know that that would be a good way for me to
Get them actually off that shelf and use that
for something else What the hell is that I heard
something. Am I boring you? No, no. What the
hell? What the hell was that? It was one of those
annoying pop -up ads. Oh, gee. Get off the internet.
I'm on Skype. How can I not be on the internet?
Oh, well, I meant get off the internet browser.
I hate those damn things. Lord yeah It's not
it's not something that I can actually I mean
unless I can go to Lowe's and find them for fairly
cheap I'll do it. Probably I'd like to get it
done by my birthday, which of course isn't until
February hint hint Megatron owners Don't oh Jesus
me, you know, I want that figure fuck if I could
drive I'd come to your house right now and steal
it He's somewhere on the internet, I'm sure you
can find one. No, no, no, no, no. But yeah, I
want a nice place for my collection, like everybody
does. And I mean, for now, it's OK. And obviously,
I also want to display the framed, I guess, they're
not really actual animation cells, but the cells
that came with the G1 DVDs. I framed those and
I want to. That was on a shelf because the frames
that they're in they're not really Turn out really
on the wall quality. You really can't hang them
on the wall and they stay there unfortunately
so All right. Well, I think I've talked enough
what other preach or not not pre show what other
general chat Would you like to bring up? I wasn't
sure if I was going to mention it today, but
I guess I will. I actually went on a toy run
today for the first time in a while. And I got
a bunch of stuff. I picked up the Red Power Glide.
He's a Walmart exclusive. And when the Universe
Power Glide came out, I was kind of bummed because
he was in gray. And the Japanese version came
out in red. And I'm like, man, I want a Japanese
version. You know, I quit spending money on Japanese
imports a while ago because I just assumed that
they're going to come out in America eventually
in some way, shape, or form. And here we go.
We get a red power glide. So I was really happy
to see that. The downside is now I've got a whole
bunch of repaints of these. And I picked up some
movie toys. Swerve, just because I've got every
other incarnation of Swerve. RC, because I eventually
want to combine the three robot sisters. I picked
up the ice cream truck, because it's an ice cream
truck. Yeah, exactly. I got Walmart exclusive
Fear Swoop. It was a repaint of the movie line
Jet in hooligan colors. G2 hooligan colors, which
is like a tiger stripe pattern in orange and
black which I mean, how bad is that rock? That's
really cool. That's kind of a cool thing. I grabbed
deluxe thrust because hey, he's thrust Gears
cuz hey, he's gears and ravage cuz you know,
he's ravage. Yeah And then and the all of the
new Scout series so dune runner reverb night
beat there's a repaints and Oh, ejector. Yes,
and that's what you'll be talking about today
is the toaster bots. That's right. I want to
talk about toaster bot tonight So start talking
because you're up first. Oh, okay So so yeah,
so in my in my hall tonight I picked up toaster
bot and you know, he's a toaster bot. There's
a toaster you don't get too many toasters in
the In fact, I was kind of surprised that he
wasn't released in something like the Real Gear
line or something along those lines, because
he's more of a household item than a vehicle
or anything else like that. But I don't know.
After looking at the package, I was a little
disappointed with his paint job, because it looks
like he's definitely missing some paint apps.
Of course, the back of the package is the Hasbro
Photoshopped version, but it still leaves a little
bit to be desired here. Back of the package says,
born mindless and driven by the heat, pulsing
in his tiny body. Thank you, Michael Bay, for
these sexual references. Ejector knows nothing
but how to burn. Even when he was a simple toaster,
burning things was what he did best. Now that
he's got a simple mind of his own, and flamethrowers
to go with it, he lives to torch everything around
him. So this guy came to be in the kitchen scene
where the Allspark shard brought all the kitchen
appliances to life in the Witwicky home. So kind
of cool that they made a figure of him. Necessary?
Probably not. He's just a scout, you know, in
the grand scheme of things. Why not spend a little
bit of plastic on him? A scout who has no feet.
Well, see, that's the screwy thing. He's got
little nubby feet. They don't really count as
feet. In order to make him stand, because you
can't stretch his legs out straight up and down,
expect him to stand on his little nubs, but his
calves are like big triangles. And you literally
have to... Kind of invert his feet almost like
a like a chicken walk and you know skywarp walk
Starscream walk and skywarp technically the repeat
So that he can he can stand on his calves the
bags the back of the back of his legs Mm -hmm
lower portions of his legs, so it's kind of weird
You know Again, he's not going to stand up on
his own on his own little stubby feet. But you
can get him to do a weird stand by propping him
up on the back of his legs. He's a neat little
guy. His whole chest is mostly head. He's got
gnarly teeth. He doesn't have much in the way
of paint apps, except for a few little red bits
that are supposed to be the heating elements
from inside the toaster. Right, right. He's got
four arms kind of you know redundant and or unnecessary
and And he's got a little tail that's supposed
to be the plug It turns into the boy. It's actually
the plug Michael Bay with jokes What again Michael
Bay with the jokes with the tail? Yeah Okay,
I don't know I thought it was weird. It's a European
style tail So somewhere in the wiki household
is a you know Americans a European outlet converter
Those things don't come cheap. I don't think
they would either Yeah, his transformation is
kind of simple not for you it wasn't well, you
know No, I know I completely I mean hell look
at wait The way I first get my first blurs, I
mean I'm not complaining, I'm just saying, it
was funny as hell when you were trying to transform
him. You broke the arms off. It's like, how's
he supposed to go, oh, like the, oh, there went
his arm. Ah crap, alright, well, maybe he's supposed
to, nope, there goes his other arm, never mind.
That's not right either. Yes, and only real men
don't look at the instructions. That's right,
real men do not look at the instructions. the
the the the the we have the uh... the video cameras
going earlier and i'll show you how to do it
yeah you know that was just uh... yeah that's
where the whole pre -show notion has come from
folks we started doing a a skype video call earlier
and um... yeah we need to start i need to start
recording that for posterity for for pre -show
audio well you know it's You know, you kind of
get free license to say whatever you want when
you're not being recorded because you're not
too worried about somebody hearing you say it.
Well, I mean, you know, I mean, what haven't
we said on any of our shows that we've done?
So I mean, I mean, you know, you know, I think
my favorite was during the. the rebirth episode
of TFG -1 where I likened the nebulons to al
-Qaeda. Oh yeah, that's right. Yeah, I thought
that was funny. All right, so here I got him
in toaster mode. And he's a toaster. He's a toaster
that fits in the palm of your hand, which doesn't
make him much of a toaster. But on the front
here, he's kind of silver, like a silver toaster.
He's kind of retro in a way, but not really.
He's got the toast holes kind of molded in the
top. They're not really holes. But the front
is kind of curved, and it's nice. It looks almost
like a little eyeball on one side, but it's like
an on -off switch painted red. But there's no
on -off switch on the other side, so he's kind
of asymmetrical in that way. And the plug. They
spent a lot of time, you know, molding the front
of this toaster, but there's no back of the toaster.
It's just wide open. I can see his kidneys. Yeah,
but you know, what are you gonna do? It's a toaster.
He makes toast. Or if you believe his text back,
his bio, he burns toast. Yeah, exactly. I like
nothing more than to burn your toast. You suck,
and I hate you, and I want to burn your frickin'
toast. You know, the only thing that I can think
of when you said about the... I thought of an
Eminem's reference. He burns in your hand, not
in your mouth. Not in your hand. This is gonna
let you amuse yourself for a while. I was trying
damn it I can't always hit gems like I hit and
I believe it was TFG one episode 19 when I said
more than meets the pie so you know Will you
have to go back and listen the episode then well,
what do you mean? Oh, man? It was a short episode.
I think so you don't worry about movies there
we go see now i've got ejector toaster boy got
toster boy back in his uh... in his robot mode
here and you know he's got kind of a new little
robot he kind of looks like a little demon he's
got a little demon face uh... you know i'm kind
of glad that they didn't go all out and try to
make a bunch of these little kitchen kitchen
bots because Let's be honest couple of more really
offensive. It was like a blender with a giant
cock cannon But yeah, I can't So the fact that
they came out with this guy who's just gonna
remind us of the cock cannon Or the, what do
they call the other one? It was a Dyson vacuum
cleaner. Oh god, I don't know. No, no, it was
a Dyson vacuum cleaner. And I can't imagine how
much money they paid Dyson for the rights to
use that. But it turned into a robot, too. And
there was a bunch of other ones. I think I saw
pictures of, it was prototype pictures. I don't
remember it from the movie exactly, but it was
the garbage disposal unit. crawled out of the,
like it crawled out of the sink and it was literally
just knives, the whole thing was knives. I could
see them releasing that, it's like, Johnny Knives!
Johnny Knives is alive! You catch that? You like
that? No, but I mean it's like gonna be remaking
that unfortunately dumb bastards can't leave
80s movies alone, but anyway That's right they
are Ellie she's not gonna come back. I think
she's too old Hell last time I saw Molly Ringwald
was in not another teen movie is the airline
agent at the end But anyway to digress do you
have any final thoughts on toaster bot? He's
growing on me. At first I was like, ah, what
the hell. He's a little toaster. But now, I mean,
yeah, like I said, he's growing on me. I dig
him. What I'd like to see is someone try to repaint
him in something a little more toasterish. Because
he's not really shiny. I'm sure there should
be a lot more red. elements on them to kind of
show the insides. And I'm just not seeing that.
So I'm not sure. There's any number of people
that I follow on Twitter that do custom repaints
of transformer figures. It would be cool to see
one of them pick that up. I was going to say,
or if Malunas wants a new project, he can do
a vector for you. Oh, no, no. Actually, I'm actually
looking at Flickr now. There's a guy that goes
by the handle of Frenzy Rumble on Flickr. And
he does some really, really nice repaints. And
he'll take, you know, he did Skids and Mudflap
from the movie line. By the time he was done
with them, I couldn't tell them from the promotional
stills. I literally thought that it was a picture
of the CGI version. And it wasn't. It was just
a regular off -the -shelf toy that he had repainted.
And it was amazing. Just really cool stuff. And
he does commissions. He's done a lot of really
neat things. And looking right now, he's got
Hearts of Steel Optimus Prime, which only appeared
in the comic book. I forget which comic book,
but it was the Hearts of Steel comic book by
IDW. But it was like a what if, where what if
the Autobots had appeared in steampunk times.
And Optimus Prime is literally a very old locomotive.
It's cool. It's really neat. Someone did a custom
of it. And they put the custom up for sale. And
it looks like he got a hold of one of them and
repainted it. And it looks really, really cool.
So anyway, yeah. Oh, he did a black one, too.
Very neat. So anyway, yeah, really talented guy.
Does some really cool things. Oh, wow. Yeah.
Yeah, anyway. So yeah, it would be cool to see
him take one of these. Maybe he's done it already.
I haven't checked him Flickr in a while. But
it would be very cool. I'll take a look for it
and if I see it I'll post it to the forums You
have anything else to say about toaster bot before
we move on? Nah, I think toaster bots been played
out. All right, we'll be right back This part
has been edited. Ha ha ha. You'll never know
what was actually here We are back and it is
time for my pick this week or well not this week
this this episode I'm gonna be talking about
Transformers universe mighty mugs sound wave
Last time I talked about bumblebee who is actually
I've watched several YouTube videos But the mighty
mugs and I just watched a won't want on sound
wave Trying to think who it was by I believe
it was by rimfire and He said that you know,
he likes all of the mighty mugs in wave one except
for bumblebee. So at least other person that
agrees with me, but that leaves the worst out
of the way of one line. Again, I can't say enough
about these boxes. These boxes are made to look
very commemorative and pretty much a collector's
item. They almost give a 3D look for the character
on each side of the box, so you actually have
to show the box at an angle to see the the the
full image of the of the robot so you know that's
the box and has really nice uh... trans well
it's translucent but the plastic it's not a it's
not a it's not plastic like the g one plastic
is it's much it's much thicker on the boxes so
sound waves uh... yeah uh... i actually did a
youtube video about him, not really reviewing
him but you know just like hey this is uh no
because I said when I was doing you know when
I first started YouTube I am not on YouTube to
do toy reviews there are so many other great
people that do toy reviews I'm not out there
to do that but you know I noticed something about
Soundwave that kind of freaked me out at first
you know how a majority of all transformers have
screws in the back of their heads Well, yeah,
they do don't think majority of them Yeah, of
course. Okay. Well, all right. This will make
sure I'm right and saying that well, he has the
Mighty mug on the back of his head. It's not
a real screw It's just like an image of a Phillips
screwdriver and at first when I first looked
at it I thought it was like an X marks marks
the spot like somebody's gonna assassinate sound
wave at least you wonder what would happen if
you unscrew the back of his head yeah that's
true too his brains would fall right out he actually
like like last last episode when i was doing
uh... mess around with bumblebee as well soundwave
actually looks cool when his head is turned to
the side bumblebee does not at all and he does
the only there's only two complaints I have about
him on his tape deck he has the purple decepticon
logo which I like but it's excuse me it's black
on the corners and like gray in the middle of
the deck so that just I don't know it just doesn't
seem right to me it should either be all gray
or all black I think I don't know whatever and
then he has the but You're very particular about
your Decepticon logos. Oh No, no, I'm not having
I have no complaint about the logo. It's just
a color on the tape deck It's two different colors.
It's black and silver No, not no the logo is
fun the Decepticon logo is purple and it's fine.
It's the way it's supposed to be Right color
of the like if you took g1 sound wave out of
your thing He has whatever color his his tape
deck is it's one color on the actual image of
the deck itself Not not the outer frame, but
just the tape deck itself. It's one color this
it's black on the left Gray in the middle and
black right. I just I don't like that Of course
it shows all his little buttons and everything
else below the tape deck it actually right above
his Right above where his head is almost where
his neck should be is is the eject button On
the back as I said is a screw in his head I see
it now. I'm actually I wasn't looking at a picture
of it now or before but I am now Okay, and then
of course on the back. He has his little battery
compartment type deal I actually like the colors
on this guy. They're really cool. It's a combination
of the dark blue that he is, and I think it's
black. Part of it is, yeah. It's like grayish
black on the legs and on the sides of his arms
and stuff. He does come with his G1 gun, which
is very, very cool. Looking at the gun really
quick here, it's very... very reminiscent of
G1. It even is so reminiscent it actually has
the button on it that you can shoot out the silver
things, the silver missile things. So it's drawn
in on there and it looks really really cool.
The only problem with the rest of the Mighty
Mugs like Soundwave, Megatron, and Optimus is
that you have to put their guns in sideways into
their hands. They don't actually fit uh... like
if you want to hold it if you was on down by
his side and you were holding his gun like that
to like the standing over something in you know
i'm gonna shoot you in the head or or you know
something like that we're going to be cool money
-money -money -money -money -money -money -money
-money -money -money -money -money -money -money
-money -money -money -money -money -money -money
-money -money -money -money -money -money -money
-money -money -money -money -money -money -money
-money -money -money -money -money -money -money
-money -money -money -money -money -money -money
-money -money -money -money -money -money -money
the gun straight ahead in his hand so you have
to angle it for it to to be the way yeah so it's
almost like he's looking to the left and he's
like i'm going to shoot you now i don't know
i don't know what the hell i'm saying i'm like
right away folks i'm like why i'm gonna need
to see video of that just to see what you mean
as far as it's like you try it He holds his gun
forward and smacks himself in the head with the
butt of the gun. I'm not really sure what you
mean. All right, hold on. Let's see here. Cord.
Well, no, I'm not saying do it now. I'm just
saying. I'm just taking a picture with my camera
phone. To accompany the podcast, we should have
some video. That's a bad flash no no no no video
that you don't necessarily have to take right
now. Oh, yeah, I know but this is fun, so anyway
That's funny That's so funny, oh wow Oh crap
I can't oh shit this is not gonna work I'll show
you on video after we're done with this episode.
It's it'll be much easier that way Overall, I
really enjoy this. He's a really super You know,
they really picked when they when they you know,
obviously it's the mighty mugs thing But they
I don't know if it's Hasbro people that pick
these or whatever for for for the for the ones
that they released uh... but they pick some really
cool characters to uh... to do uh... conditions
oh yeah the only other problem with them is if
you turn his head three sixty uh... if you turn
it to the right uh... when the back of his head
is at the front of his body for some reason online
it's like it well if you can hear that but uh...
i don't know if you can hear it or not That's
the sound of it breaking, is what it is. No.
Actually, it's funny. When I first got these
and I took him out of his little box and enclosure
there, his head was so tight on, and then I held
it in my arm, in my right arm, and I took my
left hand on his head, and I like... turned it
like you would turn a screw or, you know, a piece
of cable, you know, a coaxial cable or something,
and it amazingly went like super fast and just
went, shooom! At first I thought it was going
to come all the way off, but it didn't, so thank
God for that. So yeah, Mighty Mugs Soundwave.
He's really, really cool. Again, as I said with
the Bumblebee review of the Mighty Mugs, you're
probably going to find these off you but you're
probably not what do you laugh at you want to
get it uh... but that was first about sport uh...
no won't good lord people he's playing with the
court always uh... uh... uh... uh... uh... uh...
uh... uh... uh... oh crap oh boy so anyway again
as I said with the bumblebee review you're pretty
much gonna have to find the wave one and wave
two Mighty Mugs on eBay or something you may
be able to find them on Amazon I don't know I
doubt Hasbro toy shop actually has the Optimus
Prime one but if you want to find them fairly
easily and fairly cheap, I would go to eBay.
So that's pretty much all I have, yeah. so for
forty minutes for toaster button ten minutes
for my mug sound wave what the hell so it's well
no it wasn't really for you it was more like
it was more like twenty minutes of of uh... general
and then twenty minutes of toaster is the last
clip of the left part of the episode like thirty
thirty forty some minutes so i think we're going
to bring this one to a close before either one
of us say something we're going to regret i already
did that Uh, yeah, which one? The, uh, the cock
cannon? Oh, cock cannon, oh no! I was talking
about the horrible MF bomb that I dropped there.
That was completely out of line with me, and
I feel really bad about it now, in retrospect.
I'mma burn your toast! I'mma burn it! I will...
I don't know how long that is, because we actually
have something from, um... I will I will let
