You are tuned in to Steve Megatron on Altered

Geek. Altered Geek. Hello and welcome to Altered

Geek. I'm your host, Steve Megatron Phillips,

and joining me in this episode are... DFJ and

Mike. And Doug Abel. Yes. So, it's been a while

since we've had you on, Doug, and then Blanchard,

you've just missed Booth Ninja. Yes on the previous

episode who came back after almost a year hiatus

Yeah, love listening to that love having booth

back. That's awesome. That was a good episode.

Yep. He should be back It the more regular basis

in the coming weeks so cool cool cool after my

vacay so which I so desperately and looking forward

to but I'm also mortified about because I'm gonna

be in the dead zone as far as technology Yeah,

I mean it's not like California's falling off

the map yet No, I mean I'm gonna be like in the

like cabin in the woods tape oh Oh, so you're

gonna be a horror story yeah But it'll be good.

I think it'll be good to detox from technology

for a week My kids will keep me busy Don't they

do that already anyway? Yeah, they keep my wife

busy It's like that that Joker thing from the

Dark Knight, you know Everyone talks about their

kids and mine are making me lose my mind So yeah

reminds me of the other Joker line from from

btas Hey, I don't hit your kids. Oh wait, I do

When Batman hit the hit the hyenas Mm -hmm He's

like, yep, that's that's me too We saw Lego Batman

did you would you think well, I think we need

to get nuts You want to get nuts let's get nuts

I Was never a huge fan on the Lego movie People

can go back to whatever podcast Steve and I did

about that I Love the Lego Batman movie it was

a lot better than I expected to be although Robin

was Playing part. Yeah. Well, he was supposed

to be he was supposed to be that Burt Ward annoying

66 character. That's what he was supposed to

be Which I didn't mind Will our net I'll say

this right now my top three Batman voices Kevin

Conroy Obviously will our net and second and

Bruce Greenwood and third for voice actors Oh

now see, okay, you're missing it. You're missing

Adam West, you know Okay, yeah definitive classic

Batman though. I'm saying in animation for voiceover

for Batman It's Kevin Conroy Will Arnett and

then Bruce Greenwood. Yes, if we're talking all

of Batman Yes, Adam West is obviously above Will

Arnett and Bruce Greenwood He's got that like

he's got that caped crusader movie Yeah, so you

know there is that I'm just gonna point that

out. That's all you know what that always pains

me though look and we all know that death is

a part of life it just is okay and Sometimes

people suddenly die without warning But it always

pains me when I see someone's work come out after

they're gone Like when the Dark Knight hit and

Heath had passed now with Cape Crusader 2 coming

out With Adam gone. Oh, there is a second one.

Yeah Yeah, the second one is coming at some point

and he had already finished his lines for the

movie before he passed Is it return of the Cape

Crusaders? I don't know You know what it's for

this. I think that it's okay because he hadn't

finished all of his recording. He wanted it to

come out Oh, yeah, no, it is. Absolutely. Okay.

I'm just saying it always pains me when stuff

like that happens where you know They die and

then oh, hey, guess what? This is their last

rule type of thing. Yeah Okay, it's gonna be

it's the enemy sequel Batman first to face Yeah,

it's the Caped Crusaders versus Two -Face. Okay,

that'll be kind of cool because they've never

had Two -Face in that universe. Nope. They had

false face. Yeah. Because Two -Face is too scary.

But no, I actually love the animated throwbacks

to continuing that old Batman with West, who

although physically was aged, vocally fit the

role still. Absolutely very much like Shatner

Yeah, I mean, you know you you look at Adam West's

career and You know you look at his specifically

his Batman career He did several versions of

the 70s Batman cartoons because I know Casey

Kasem was robbing in those uh... so technically

return of the caped crusaders is kind of almost

his return to voice acting for it the batman

character even though he's done it in other places

and other things obviously he was the gray ghost

in bt as soon when he also was uh... batman in

the uh... the uh... lego batman video game the

third one Yep, I gotta go play that then that

was the only one that was actually decent on

three But yeah, it's It's that actually it's

kind of cool that I know that now that that's

coming out because On you but hey, yeah Adam

West is he's definitely one of the definitive

Batman's just like Kevin Conroy Yeah, Kevin Conroy,

you get the modern Batman. Adam West, you get

the classic Batman. Did you guys see the video

I shared the other day from Phil Lamar? Nope.

Of the Denver Comic -Con Justice League reunion

panel? Oh my god. It's Kevin Conroy, Phil Lamar,

Maria Canals -Barrera, George Newburn. Susan

Eisenberg and Andrea Romano and a couple other

guys that had to fill in some voices Michael

Rosenbaum is there and They go through a script

reading of the star -crossed three -parter from

Justice League and Eat oh my god. Yeah, it was

like I was in 2004 all over again It was awesome.

Just seeing that because you see their improvisation

like We know that the Justice League thing is

already done and whatever else, but when they

do these script reads at cons, they can improvise

a little bit more with vocal inflections and

things like that because they're putting on a

show for us, not just doing it for the work that

they've already done. And it was just hilariously

good. Absolutely love seeing that. And that's

going to suck for me because I will be able to

see it this year at Comic Con. Oh, well, you

can watch the Denver Comic Con one that so that's

up. So what is causing you to not go to Comic

Con this year? Yes. Why? Why is this the 26th

year? You're you're jinxer. I don't know. I tried

to get tickets and they didn't want to sell them

to me. They also besides me and my wife. So I

did not get tickets this year, which. Yeah, this

is. PG so I can't really use the phrases that

I want to use against him. Yeah, so Explodive

expletive come expletive deleted. Yeah, yeah

You know, I'm still I'm still happy that You

know comic -con is gonna be around have another

chance next year and for another couple years

at least so because comic -con Got its contract

extended through 2021 in the San Diego area Yeah,

it's it's a good thing. You know it's Kevin mayor

Kevin Faulconer stood out there in front of the

convention center and said hey We're happy to

have this we've gotten through the contract and

here's my feeling on this because as a native

San Diegan We lost charges recently okay, and

really Want to tell you it was a big kind of

finger that Alex Panos gave San Diego Because

he wanted us to pay for a new stadium and we

kind of said nah You can go we're not gonna buy

a brand new. We're not gonna build you a brand

new stadium at 350 million dollars You want a

stadium you got to put some money into it. He

said no and so he went well, okay fine We'll

work with comic -con instead Here's the feeling

that said that most of San Diego has geeks rule

jocks drool Yep, you know because geeks pay the

bills Well, and that's the other okay. We have

here in San Diego. We have two major events Tourism

wise okay. We have the Delmar fair, and I'm going

to call it the Delmar fair regardless Its official

name is the San Diego County Fair But I have

known it as Del Mar fair since I was growing

up like you know six years old the very first

time I ever with Okay, it will always be the

Del Mar fair to me Okay that Del Mar fair makes

more money than comic -con but The only reason

it makes more money for tourism throughout the

year is because it runs for almost a month Makes

comic -con makes more money over a four -day

period for the city of San Diego the county of

San Diego Than any other tourism event and that

counts fleet week that counts for you know The

Red Bull air races when they've come through.

I mean everything that is the big event for San

Diego So very happy that I'm very happy in that

respect that San Diego's got money coming in

for it It's definitely kind of cool. I mean,

I've never been to comic -con in San Diego more

so because of cost and I don't really like waiting

in lines At all Yeah, I get because of because

of the lines these the people pushing the Odors

because a lot of people don't bother to Shower

or bathe for four days and they can't hose themselves

down with a can of Febreze You know for me it

with them because you know you can you should

just spray Febreze in the crowd and everybody

will smell decent for a while For me it is all

that stuff plus. Oh my god too many if I'm in

a room with more than Seven people at a time

I get like like I need to get the hell out To

answer your thing about the smell, Steve, I will

tell you this, Old Spice and Axe have been there

in previous years, and Degree actually as well.

Oh, so they represent? They were giving out free

samples of Degree body odorant. Oh, my God. Spray

that they were giving out, you know. It was like,

oh, my God, this is great. And people were taking

it and spraying other people on the floor. That's

awesome. Disturbing but it's awesome. Yeah. Yeah,

I mean there's there are disturbing things that

you will see that you will hear that you will

smell All of them all five senses are alerted.

You're at comic -con I'm soldier things. I will

not necessarily miss this year. So do we know?

When SDCC actually is is it the toy is it the

19th to the I think it's when towards the end

of month, isn't it? That's why I said 19th to

the 24th maybe unofficially it starts two weeks

from today Yeah, it starts the it starts Wednesday

night the 19th for the preview then Thursday

Friday Saturday Sunday Okay, so not 19th to the

23rd 2017 is San Diego Comic -Con I just received,

what he does with these tweets. I mean these

And they're gonna have a bunch of other Stuff

they've got Star Wars adventures preview because

IDW is doing a new Star Wars comic series, which

is a little strange to me But since you know

Disney and Marvel and all that but whatever But

yeah, I know IDW at At San Diego comic -con it's

gonna be a blast Although you're gonna say it's

gonna be huge No It's not huge. It's huge you

But um, yeah, so yeah, I haven't been to a comic

-con in two years Somewhere in that neighborhood.

It may have been last year may have been last

April I went to that one that I think I won and

they were so like disorganized. It was disgusting.

Yep. Yep. You're like, I'm never attending this

convention ever again. Kind of like, I never

see that movie. That convention and I hate to

say that about a convention, but like it was

so disorganized. I didn't even want to go back.

And I mean, I was glad on the one hand that I

won. To not have to pay for it Yeah, but um,

yeah, I mean there were other conventions I would

have much rather have gone to So Yeah, I guess

we should probably move on How's the last night

doing Well, what are you guys opinions of it?

I mean I've watched it so I've seen the first

hour and a half. I have not watched the whole

thing. What is this? Transformers five. Oh, no,

I can't. I will. I will put it this way. It is

better than two and four. So basically it kind

of holds with every odd movie is pretty decent

in the franchise. It's like the opposite of the

Star Trek movies. I'm sorry. Quintessa is a planet.

That's all I have to say. Well, they named the

the Quintesson that and it doesn't have the six

heads. OK, I'll give that a pass. That still

was kind of dumb. Yeah. Megatron, they give a

spot on. It was interesting how they did the

nemesis prime type of thing. Mm hmm. The on it's

beyond what I remember, because mine was pretty

much Transformers Gen one and. I think I stopped

watching about the time that, what was it, the

airbots or whatever it was that came in. Aerial

bots, yeah. Yeah, I pretty much stopped watching

about that point. Well, what I'll say is that

this is very much closer to Generation 1, but

it's like Season 3, Generation 1. And the funny

thing is they took the ultimate doom they took

and this is what I've noticed for once three

Yeah, no, no, no not no for five No, I took her

for three No, yeah, they did last night was about

Cybertron coming to earth and that was the ultimate

doom They weren't bringing Cybertron to earth.

They were sucking the cyber earth is unicorn.

Yeah They were sucking the energy out of Unicron

out of the Earth's core to revitalize Cybertron

through this ship to harness the energy. They

were trying to bring Cybertron to Earth in number

three. But yeah, I mean, I watched it and Megatron

has this fusion cannon. I mean, they have a throwback

with like Starscream's noggin floating around

somewhere. The Decepticons were all throwaways.

The the Knights were pretty neat. They gave Cade

Yeager Mark Wahlberg an actual role Where he's

not running around going hey, I fixed things.

I'm an inventor Yeah, yeah, you do it up there

and they cut out there was none of the the eye

candy bits to this movie It was like more action

and story than it was trying to appease Like

the the sex symbol part Mm -hmm, so they were

actually they were actually trying in this one

Whoa, which was which was interesting to see

because we had more robots in this than we had

human So that was actually quite nice So I give

it a pass just on that like on a lot of that

aspect alone and they explained why Sam Witwicky

is no longer there In in a graphical version

like they were showing people that yeah lived

through the Witwick and Family tree back all

the way back to Merlin Wow and there's that they're

explaining that's why you know this sort of Merlin

can only be wielded by a Witwick II Mm -hmm,

and there's like only one or two left by the

end of the movie. TFTM I swear if I have to say

1986 one more time It's the only one that really

really I mean some of the season 3 episodes of

generation 1 are written better written than

Michael Bay movies Yeah, so I mean, it wasn't

a bad film overall. Like, it was much better

than I anticipated. I'm trying to think who it

was recently. I think it was Birdman that pointed

this out to me. All the franchises that started

or had movies four or five years ago all have

sequels this year. Fast 8. Transformers, Spider

-Man. Even Blade Runner. Yeah, well, no, because

there wasn't a Blade Runner four or five years

ago. No, there was back in the 70s. Yeah, back

in the 80s. That's all. This is the summer of

sequels. What can we say? So is next year, and

the year after that, and the year after that,

and the year after that. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Marvel,

I know. And DC. But you know what? I don't really

mind the Marvel movie sequels, at least the ones

that I've seen. I mean, some of them are good,

some of them are bad. They're not, you know,

I think the last Marvel movie that I absolutely

loathed was Electra. The rest of them I just

kind of tolerate. Yeah, I mean, I think the one

that I didn't care that much for and it was still

good, but it was kind of like, eh, was probably

Iron Man 3. You shut your damn mouth. Like I

said, it was good, but it was not you know, it

was not great. That's all I mean They just took

too many story elements to make their own story

They meshed everything together in that movie

to try to create their own version of it Instead

of using a pre -existing version which I guess

kind of is what we've been asking for is to for

them to make For Hollywood quote -unquote Hollywood

in general to make an original kind of thing.

I Guess they did it. I don't know This it was

the whole aim and the Mandarin and I watched

it in Iron Man 3 and I I went oh my god, they're

they're following the spider -man 3 formula it

which I Thought watching a lethal weapon movie

Yeah, that's what I thought too. Yeah, you know

they just put two they tried to put too much

in too short a time I Still want my I still want

my Mandarin with his ten rings darn it Yeah,

I will say this Iron Man 3 was better executed

than spider -man 3 the too many villain things

though. Yeah. No, that's that's a given And everything

I've seen about spider -man homecoming Everybody

is saying best spider -man ever look 15 years

ago, when the Tobey Maguire, Sam Raimi, Spider

-Man came out, we were all excited because it

was the first time, the first real time Spider

-Man was going to be on the big screen. And I

liked Tobey Maguire in all three films, except

for that little emo crap in the third one. But

that's whatever. It is whatever. But what I'm

saying is 15 years later, we've had a total of

three different live action Spider -Man. We've

had Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and now Tom

Holland. Have not seen homecoming yet, but what

I've seen from trailers and teasers and interviews

with the kid He's better at being both sides

of the Peter Parker spider -man coin than either

of Peter the Tobey Maguire or Andrew Garfield

I go back and I watch that original spider -man

movie as much as I love it I just feel that Tobey

Maguire is portrayal of Parker specifically is

just I get it. That's the classic. It's the old

60s version, whatever. But it just, 15 years

later, doesn't feel natural to me anymore. It

just feels like he's a geek. And we're all geeks.

I'm not trying to use that to be derogatory towards

the guy. But it just feels like he, I don't know.

Yeah. We feel you. So speaking of Marvel, and

the whole thing of Parker and everything, they're

saying that a fan favorite theory was true, and

that Peter Parker's first appearance was in Iron

Man 2 as the small kid in the Iron Man mask.

It fits the time. It fits the time. It fits the

time, but I don't think that was Tom Holland,

though. No. Okay. Cuz that's what I kind of got

from the story was oh, we're saying this was

Tom Holland. Um, no I don't think so. I don't

think that's possible No, it's supposed to be

the kid in the Iron Man mask that's facing down

the iron Yeah, yeah It's Tom Holland's version

of spider -man Peter. Yeah. Mm -hmm. Well, I'm

cool with that Yeah, that's yeah, that's very

cool cuz that's one way outside of Civil War.

That's one way to tie Tom Holland or the Marvel

Universe. Yeah. So that's cool. Even if they're

just saying that to retcon, I'm still OK with

it. Yeah. And I mean, how many people besides

me every now and then will go back to Iron Man

2. Out of the three Iron Man films, two is my

least favorite. It was OK. Drunk and Poisoned

Tony Stark. I. Sam Rockwell was okay, I liked

him as Justin Hammer. And the hammer came down.

He was better than Mickey Rourke, I thought.

Mickey Rourke was terrible. And you know, I wanted

to like Mickey Rourke. I really did because he

was excellent in The Wrestler. He didn't even

know what was going on in the movie. He's like,

I don't know. He's like, they told me to do this

and yeah. Stayed here and looked good. But yeah,

and then Downey jr. Is now talking about you

know exiting the universe As long as they give

Tony's like if he does exit that's fine But let's

face it folks in the last nine years next year

will be ten years since Iron Man 2008 Iron Man

Before that, other than all of his drunk driving

or whatever, all of his personal problems in

the news, what do we really remember Robert Downey

Jr. from? Like, seriously. For me, the only thing

I can remember him from was the 1989 Civil Shepard

movie, Chances Are, before he was Iron Man. What?

Huh? Come on. What? Back to school when he was

back to school with Rodney Dangerfield. You don't

remember him? He was in Saturday Night Live back

in the day. Yeah. For a season. Cope got him

a test half the time when he was on SNL. So my

point here is when he does eventually exit, I

hope they use some other iron. Basically, I don't

want the legacy that our DJ built up for for

Tony to Have to change because they need to put

a new actor. I don't want I don't think I don't

think they will either but I'm saying in case

they do I don't think the our DJ Iron Man is

the James Bond of the Marvel Universe It doesn't

need to change roles every six films or every

three films or whatever. Okay, let me throw this.

Let me throw this out as a possibility Marvel

just had that change to a new Iron Man to an

iron girl. Yep What if they went along with that

with that storyline? Would you be cool with that

with Riri Williams? Yeah Fine. I have no problem

with that. I just don't want Tony Stark to be

recast and still have this I don't I don't want

them to recast Tony Stark and still have Don

Cheadle as war machine and still have Gwyneth

Paltrow as pepper pots If they're going to do

a whole new iron man, you know do it iron man

adventure style the the the the Cartoon from

a few years ago kind of like if you're gonna

do a whole new iron man and keep it in the model

universe And it's gonna be Tony Stark It has

to be not with the current characters that are

in there in Maya in my eyes But if they did it

with the girl sure fine. Why not? Okay, cuz I

could see I could see them doing that only because

you know, they've got this new young Tom Holland

why not? a younger version, maybe bring in Miles

Morales as well. Have that Spider -Man show up

for the Marvel Universe, for the MCU, and let

Tom go off and be his own separate with Sony.

Sony's kind of saying, well, this is gonna be

difficult to have the two Spider -Man movies.

It's something that's probably never gonna happen

again, because it's gonna be basically like Who

Framed Roger Rabbit, where you had these two

perfect storm studios that got together to make

that film. That's kind of what's happening with

homecoming and homecoming too. Mm -hmm. So I

could see them pulling off a miles Morales and

having that be MCU's spider -man and yeah going

off and doing others with Sony or Heaven forbid

everybody hates this or they could just go into

the clone saga and have it be Ben Reilly, too

Yeah, I guess Miles Morales makes more sense,

but I'm saying that could be a possibility So

while we're on the the whole superhero boat The

the Batman with Matt Reeves, okay, who's Decided

that it's gonna be a noir driven detective version

of Batman We're gonna need a bigger bat boat

So I when I hear this I imagine almost like Arkham

Asylum Arkham City That makes that makes sense

where you're going with that yeah, because it's

supposed to be like more of a point -of -view

driven, you know They want to make it more Figure

out what's inside his head and what you know,

what's going on and that kind of stuff So, I

mean I could definitely see that taking form

And they're talking about turning it into a trilogy

now Flashback because I wouldn't looked up. I

I have to be honest I didn't know who Matt Reeves

was initially you might just have to look up

and I go oh he's been ma he's been helping the

rains of So I'm sitting here going hey, why don't

they just do this they'll have They'll have flash

and that then up and they'll bring in gorilla

Grodd. It'll look like one of the plan of the

apes guys yeah, those get Andy circus to play

him and Well, any circus plays just about anybody

after anymore, and then they get David so below

through the voice and then But um, I is How long

what do we have the almost at the four -year

mark for altered geek Yeah, it'll about the time

I hit episode 200 So yeah When we launch the

show it was around the time of That they decided

they were gonna do Batman v Superman. Yep, and

it was prior to them casting a flak. Yep so this

is what this is making me think of hearing this

news about the batman or what batman noir or

whatever the hell they're i think it's just going

to be called the batman but it feels like they're

doing the same damn thing and then this might

just be a little news story of the director saying

okay this is what the direction we're going to

be and that's fine i do not want this to blow

out of proportions like the bs that is bvs did

because as we all know we've been here for four

years and It took them how long? It took them

four years to actually get that movie out. It

didn't take four years. It was two years ago

it came out. It didn't come out last year? Okay,

whatever. It came out last year because Deadpool

came out. Yeah, that's what I thought it was

last year. Yeah, but I mean still it was it was

a big deal more so because you had Batman versus

Superman Yeah, as opposed to just all in a Batman

movie with Superman in the universe All is I'm

saying is I don't want this to turn I I understand

what you're saying Steve It's probably not gonna

turn into that but that's what I'm kind of feeling

like, you know how we recently revisited, you

know the The topic of bullying, you know, five

years later, stuff just keeps haunting us. That's

a totally different beast. True. But yeah, so

speaking of another thing Warner Brothers has

their hands in, live action Jetson series in

early development. They're going to do an animated

movie, but they're also going to do a live action

Jetson series, which is supposed to... What is

it that they're saying the The animated series

was supposed to be you know the future of 2062

you know because that was the 1960s, but They're

gonna jump to the a hundred years from now Kind

of like they did then to 2117 or 2118 Mm -hmm

that way it's they can still do futuristic stuff,

and it doesn't look as like dumb saying oh in

30 years And Robert Zemeckis is going to be an

executive producer. Cool. You got a guy who's

knows time travel, so I'll give him that. He

knows time travel. He knows the future. He knows

flying cars. And hoverboards. Yep. So and then

I'm exploring it in there somewhere as a joke.

Oh, I'm sure it will. Considering he owns the

rights to like back to the future stuff, so.

And then another executive producers Jack rap

key who I have no idea who that is, but um So

it's it doesn't have a network yet Warner Brothers

is shopping the multi -camera project around

a various broadcast and cable networks They're

saying that I mean, they're also gonna have the

animated, you know future going which The animated

feature is going to have Conrad Vernon, co -director

of the Sausage Party movie. For the animated

feature. Which I'm not enthused with. And then

the live action series has hired a writer from

Family Guy to oversee the potential series. Yeah,

I can't people from family guy just leave this

stuff alone I Just hope that they do it justice,

but I can't see Zemeckis allowing it to go down

the toilet bowl Let's hope not because he's got

a lot of pride for his work absolutely But it's

it's surprising it's taking this long we get

to subpar Flintstones movies and we've been waiting

for a Jetsons live -action thing for 20 years

or more Well, I had heard that they'd wanted

to do some with But some of the cast members

like Giorgio Hanlon and stuff and Georgia that

you know died during his last recording Yeah,

so, you know kind of makes sense that that that

didn't happen, you know You know, I think that's

probably It was kind of for a good thing, especially

when you consider the last The Jetsons reboot,

I guess in the 80s. It really wasn't anything

new Like when you look at when you look at the

60s Jetsons, okay Yeah, there was stuff in there

where you would see these new technologies You'd

see flying cars. You'd see pills that you would

take that would fill your stomach. You would

see video phones and such and then when we get

to the 80s version it was like They just made

everything this you know flying version of what

it was like a flying you know Okay, now you have

a dog collar that allows the dog to fly Okay,

you know it's like okay that that's really not

that imaginative No, you know or they'd go camping

and they'd put like this little you know they

put this little thing like a like a Jet on the

end of a stick in the throwing for the dog or

something like that you know You know, they'd

have this thing where they'd press a button pop

right up and it was like, okay, you know, that's

really not Very futuristic. I'm sorry. I Just

I got upset with that that buggy So I'm hoping

that what they do with this new version is that

it actually is more new tech Yeah, and I don't

know Okay, you look at the original Flintstones

movie from 1994. We all know it. We all probably

hate it but John Goodman and that entire cast

was cast correctly I think. John Goodman as Fred,

Rick Moranis as Barney, I forget, I don't know

if Rosie O'Donnell as Betty was a right casting

choice but it worked for what it is because she

had that high -pitched voice. I heard Betty in

that like you know that giggle that Betty used

to do. Oh my god she got that down. Yeah, she

did. You look at that, and that's perfect casting,

specifically for Fred and Barney. Who in the

Hollywood cesspool that is acting today could

play George and Jane, or Mr. Spacely, or Cogswell

Cogs, or hell, even Rosie the Robot, or, you

know? I can see... It was basically if they were

to pull JK sevens out I could see yes. Oh God,

yes, that would be awesome You get that have

you guys ever seen that that show that was out

and then I think the 90s called Yes Dear or whatever

Yeah, the the boss on that show. Yeah, cuz he's

got that kind of he's kind of short He's got

that kind of look in that kind of that voice

that you know He could kind of place basically

pretty well Yeah, but now that Doug says JK Simmons

for Spacely, I'm like, yes, that has to... Oh,

God. J. Jonah Jameson is Spacely. Oh, my God.

That's hilarious. That would be so awesome. That's

going to be stuck in your head. Yes, it is. I

have help with the Jetsons for you. No, it's

good. It's like, oh my god, that could actually

work. Let it be so. Oh my god, it's hilarious.

Can we talk about... This is another comic -con

thing and I'm sorry. It's two weeks away. I have

to bring up what I've seen on Facebook and stuff

I Have recent Doug will attest to this because

he has a he and his wife both have an entire

house load of these things The funko bug has

hit me like I have I have five right now one

I bought on free comic book day a couple of months

ago and GameStop this past week was running a

special buy three get one free. Now one of the

four that I have is actually for a friend of

mine. But anyway, I follow Funko on Facebook

and I follow Funko pop hunters and they made

the announcement. the fact that Conan is coming

back to comic con and to celebrate this they're

doing Conan multi -funco design and I'm like

oh my god no like I love almost everything funco

almost everything but this is just I want to

say it's it's infuriating because what I really

want to say I can't say Because I saw something

they did like previous years. They weren't bad.

They're not bad. But why does one guy need six

different things with six? Oh, God. Well, you

know, why do they need to have three different

bells or why do they need to have, you know,

four different aerials in? So. Mean I can understand

it for like a spider -man or Tony Stark or like

if you're gonna do like they have different versions

of Tony in and out of the armor and things like

that and whatever else I can see different versions

of Batman or Superman and things like that, but

it's friggin Conan come on Yeah You know the

one that bothers me and if you've ever if you

ever go to Universal Studios or any one of the

Universal Studios Franchises you will see that

they have tons and tons and tons of the minions

that are out there all the years and Really when

you look at it, they're only there are three

different minions and that's really it but they

have You know they'll have the one that's a hula

-hula minion they'll have one that's dressed

up as King Bob Yeah, King Bob. I swear. I thought

that King Bob was only was only in recess, but

that's another story You know you see you see

all the different ones. It's like okay. Do we

really need to have that many minion pop figures?

Yeah, the only The only reason why I love King

Bob is because I have a buddy named Bob And he

loathes the minions so I always use that line

from Despicable Me to King Bob yeah I'm not not

a fan of those figures but did you guys see the

news story about the radio new music promotion

chick that apparently she thinks that Annie Lennox

is a new artist I think I saw that somewhere

it was probably from me since I was the one that

found it this sounds like my niece my cousin

excuse me yeah Like I thought that Carlos Santana

was new wouldn't smooth came out what? Santana's

been out forever man. Yeah, I know but she goes

no no it's a new band We're like no, honey. He's

Santana's been around longer than I've been alive

Okay Pretty much yeah So as we've said, this

is pretty much the year of sequels, summer of

sequels. I cannot believe that both Cars 3 and

Despicable Me 3 came out the same year. I can't,

I had nothing going for them. I've seen Cars

3, I have not seen Despicable Me 3 yet. I think

Cars 3 is really, really good. I have yet to

watch it, but it can't be worse than Cars 2.

Okay. Alright. Cars 2. I will agree with you

on that. 2010 was Cars 2, right? Okay, so it's

been 11 years since the first film and it's been

seven years since the second film. Yes, Cars

2 might have been, probably was, a step in the

wrong direction focusing on Mater instead of

Lightning. But Cars 2 has several different things

about it that I like. First of all, you have

Michael Caine as a James Bond -like car. I mean,

come on. That's kind of cool. Cars 3 pretty much

plays Omar. And I'm not going to spoil it for

you, Steve, because I know you don't mind the

spoilers. But this is almost like Toy Story 3.

Good. I already read about it. I already know

a lot about the storyline. So. Ruined it for

me, and I'll have your ass. So don't ruin it

for Doug. Yeah, I'm not gonna ruin it for Doug,

but I'll say this now. If anyone had any emotional

resonance from Toy Story 3, you're gonna get

that same feeling when you watch Cars 3. Oh,

I kind of already got that from the trailer just

seeing him wreck, so... Oh, no, it has nothing

to do... Well, it has to do with that, but just

the way they incorporate certain things. He's

the new Hudson Hornet. Joe, don't say anything!

He's the old timer now. The trailer even tells

that. I'm sorry. That was not me Doug. I that

was not ruining it cuz I kind of figured that

from the trailer Exactly what the trailer tells

you Okay, he's the old timer and you see all

these like New running gun hot rods like that

are blowing past him. So he's getting like deja

vu of what Hudson Hornet felt That's that's okay.

I mean, I'm you know Yeah, I thought Steve was

actually spoiling it for you considering what

happens at the end of the movie, so we need to

move off the skeptic. I don't know what happens

at the end of the movie, I just... I'm stating

what I saw in the trailer. Yeah, and I'm okay

with that. So, I've been following the crap out

of the Star Trek discovery. Yes. They've decided

to give Starfleet officers armored uniforms This

is this is my thing they give them Armor in the

show now mind you this is supposed to take place

ten years before Kirk In the regular universe

not the Kelvin universe the regular universe

so like it makes no sense And the uniforms don't

even look like they fit the same universe they

look like they fit in the Kelvin timeline, but

They they gave them body armor for away missions

when they get transported But it doesn't explain

how the rest of the generations through the 23rd

and 24th and 25th century don't have armor So

it like doesn't fit with the universe whatsoever

Yeah, well, they're basically pulling another

enterprise They're trying And that's the thing

that kills me is it's ten years before the original

series and it looks it's got like concepts that

none of the other trucks have in Indian like

the armor would have been an intelligence thing

like Because it took them until Star Trek nemesis

to put seatbelts on the enterprise Like on the

captain's chair, especially And it was in a deleted

outtake Because because when they installed Picard's

new new chair when they were refitting the enterprise

after smashing shins on ship he's like It's about

time, you know like It I'll say this again ever

since news of this new TV series has come out

and I don't even know how long it's been since

the news came out about this new tea This show

just is one giant STD waiting to happen. It really

is. Yeah. And it says that it couldn't like CBS

even says that the show could not have cut it

on broadcast TV. So they're like, so they're

like, so we're going to we're going to put it

on our paid streaming service, which is going

to flounder because I don't know anybody that's

going to pay for it specifically for that. Don't

know anybody who's paying for it now I don't

pay for it now because you can watch all the

Trek shows on Hulu and Netflix Yeah, so there's

no reason no incentive to get the CBS all access

The okay, and I'm gonna say this I know that

there's people who don't like Big Bang Theory

I do That would be the only show that I'm streaming

and even then it's not worth The additional I

think it's like nine bucks a month for it now.

Yeah, you could get hulu or you can get Netflix

I mean there's not really and Here's the other

kicker is that I would have to watch it on my

computer I couldn't I would have to find some

way to do that on my computer or on my phone

and then use my phone's Airplay feature to switch

it up to my Apple TV. There's no app for it on

PlayStation 4 as far as I know There's nothing

on you know, like an Xbox for it as far as I

know so the only way to stream it is You know

if I hook my computer up to my TV directly Well,

that's asinine Yeah, I mean I have a portable

computer. That's like the size of my phone that

plugs into my TV through HDMI That I've got windows

on that I use as my my smart device for Whatever

now, I mean I use it for Netflix Hulu and I use

it for just going to other you know websites

while I'm sitting at my My couch because you

know 50 script 50 inch TV is is nice for a computer

monitor But I'm not gonna watch it on there like

it's I mean I'm not gonna watch it like with

through their app. Anyway, like I would probably

check it out through their website directly with

with my portable computer that's on there, but

like I'm not gonna I'm not gonna go that that

route of of having to pay them money to see the

show because one it I have enough issues with

how they've Made it look more advanced than where

it should be at that time period. Yeah The aesthetics

are all wrong like The captain's chair looks

like something from the next generation the bridge

looks like something from the next generation

like or deep space nine like it's way too polished

and shiny and And then the Klingons they look

like the JJ Abrams verse versions. Oh jeez. They're

not the traditional Klingons So what they're

trying to do with this show is they're trying

to mesh every piece of Star Trek fiction ever

together. It does not sound fun at all. Well,

and they're also talking that unlike other shows,

this show would be more like Game of Thrones

in the sense that characters that are main characters

can and possibly will die instead of being carry

-ons for seven seasons. And Jonathan Frakes,

Riker, will be directing an episode of Discovery.

Cool. Really quick, since we're talking about

the Star Trek thing and how it's on CBS All Access

and whatever else. I found this story from last

year. I don't know if the prices have changed

since then, but according to this, commercial

free for CBS All Access is $10 a month. With

reduced commercials, it's $5 .99 a month. I've

looked at some of the CBS all access programming.

I would maybe. Pay for it for a couple of months

just to catch up on like I love Nash bridges

and yada yada yada and some of the old shows

that aren't air anymore, but I would not. I would

not pay for multiple years of. The service like

I do with Netflix and Hulu and things like that.

You know what? I'm honestly gonna do I'm gonna

wait until the entire season airs and then I'm

gonna sign up because they send me like the offer

for the 30 -day trial And I'm gonna blitz through

the whole series and I'm gonna cancel Yep From

what I've seen they're only offering seven -day

free trials doesn't matter. I'll blitz through

it. I know you will Can I bring up another streaming

thing really quickly? Yeah. So I like Boomerang

on Facebook, and I've noticed an ad on there.

You know how Facebook does the sponsored ads

and things like that? And Boomerang now has its

own streaming service. Yeah. You can watch. I

have the app on my phone. You can watch Adam

Ant, Barney Bear, Bugs Bunny, Courage, Camp Lazlo,

all the old Looney Tunes and the new Looney Tunes

stuff. I almost said Johnny Quest. Richie Rich,

Scooby Doo, Smurfs, Yogi, Tom and Jerry. They

have two options. They have a yearly option,

which comes down to $3 .33 a month, or just a

monthly option for $5 a month. I am currently

under the free trial and I'll get charged a couple

days from now for five bucks. Being able to watch

all the old Looney Tunes cartoons without having

to download my past purchases from iTunes is

awesome. They also have movies on here. I'm assuming

these are going to change out hopefully from

from time to time But I recently because I needed

me some Jennifer Hale in my life for a while

I recently rewatched part of Scooby -Doo and

the witch's ghost because she is the lead ex

-girl in that Let me ask you this Mike only because

I'm curious Well, no, no, no, and this is just

a it's more if they don't have it. I'm not gonna

be upset Okay, okay when you said they had the

old Looney Tunes stuff Do they have like you

know some of the band stuff that they they had

on some of the DVDs um Not exactly sure I know

just looking at Daffy Daffy classic Looney Tunes

stuff hang on Come on come on It's stuff like

the abominable snow rabbit Boston quacky drip

-along daffy duck amok. I don't know because

I have not had a chance to go through all of

this stuff Because it's a lot of content But

I mean It seems to be all there in DVD form that

they had on the golden collections, but I could

be wrong. I'm not sure I would have to watch

it all OK, that makes me think that maybe I'll

go take a look at it. Honestly, for $5 a month

to watch all the classic cartoons that you want

from various things that are not on television

anymore, it's not a bad deal at all. Because

I guarantee you, there's something that any,

I mean, Steve, even you would find stuff that

you would want to watch on air. I'm pretty sure

you would. Yeah, I mean, that's a no -brainer.

Yeah, they've got Foghorn Leghorn, they've got

the Flintstones, they don't have the Jetsons

for some odd reason yet, but like I said. Oh

yeah, but I'm saying maybe they'll switch those

out at some point. They've got Wacky Races on

here. Wow. Oh my God, Wacky Races. All right,

keep it in your pants, Mike. Shut up. Penelope

Pitstop, that's another thing. Not yet. Okay.

Not yet. But something like that is a streaming

service I would pay for consistently. CBS All

Access, like Steve has said, we can wait until

it hits Hulu or Netflix. Exactly. Or DVD or Blu

-ray or whatever. Yeah, because it's not like

it's going to be worth it. Yeah, that's right.

I said that. So speaking of things that that

modern -day people don't think is worth it Because

you know we're old -timers now I Saw this article

the other day, and I couldn't help it. It's it's

old as dirt, but like the articles even old It's

like two years old, but I saw it came across

my screen, and I just couldn't help it the 18

things we did on the computer that kids today

will never understand Such as pressing the the

button on the desktop tower and waiting minutes

before hearing the startup sound Whereas they

like are almost instantaneous now with like the

You know gigabytes of memory that we only had

like, you know We were lucky if we had 16 or

32 megabytes of memory back then Remember when

I went to an 850 megabyte hard drive and I thought

wow I'm cool hot stuff I I had a 486 DX for 100

which is 100 megahertz before the Pentium and

it had 16 megabytes of memory it had a 2x CD

-ROM drive the five and a quarter and the three

and a quarter floppies and It had an 840 megabyte

hard drive and a 404 megabyte It was crazy I

Think I skipped over the 100 went to the 133

so I was I was hot stuff for a little bit with

that too our first Pentium had that it was a

133 and Think 16 or 32 megabytes of memory and

they had it had you had to have like separate

sound cards and video cards in those things Yep,

and controller cards for the hard drives. Yep

because none of that stuff was built into the

motherboard. Yeah, you know that funky ISA board

for the hard drive that would come out and basically

be like a SCSI card or something? Oh my god,

I'm dating myself. Remember the jazz drives and

the zip drives? I had the zip drive, the external

zip drive. 100 megabytes and I thought, man,

this is awesome. the one gig jazz drives which

were like three uh four and a quarter floppies

like stacked yeah popped in and it was they were

made by iomega uh i used to have like three of

those cartridges um so there's number two installing

games sound cards and operating systems from

floppy disks oh god man i'm the days of doom

It was like eight discs that I had to put in

swapping them in and out Yep, I remember those

And then the the having the multiple discs of

everything whether it's Windows and Games you

actually got demos that fit on floppies at that

time of games You had to get physical media MS

-DOS 6 and Windows 95 and Windows 95 That was

terrible just you how dated I was I remember

going what this is a comic -con flashback here

folks Back in the day when America online was

still hot stuff they would DC teamed up with

America Online and they were giving away free

three and a three and a half inch floppy disks

with the America Online stuff. My dad and I were

going up to the DC booth and we were grabbing

stacks of them. We could strip off the labels,

reform them. Hey, it was free media. We didn't

have to spend 10 bucks for a box of disks. I

used to do the same thing. The sad thing is,

what I remember is the America Online CDs everywhere.

That's what I remember. Yeah, those made good

wind chimes and chandeliers and cup coasters.

What's funny is last year we built a play kitchen

for the kids. And we we took an old entertainment

center that would have fit like a 32 inch, you

know, CRT TV, you know, tube TV. And we redid

it so it was like a kitchen. And we took like

the mini CDs and the like America Online CDs.

And we like flipped them over and I spray painted

them and glued them to this this thing to look

like burners. I'll put that. That's pretty cool.

So. Then it says, like, cycling endlessly through

media player skins to find the perfect one. Yes.

How about having to spend hours upon hours to

code your own media in Windows Media Play? Like

having to type in the art, the song title, the

artist, the album, the genre. I used to love

doing that. But I hated it. I was hated. At the

time, I loved doing it. Music has come so far

in just a little, little ways when it comes to

computers, whether it's iTunes, whether it's

Spotify, whether it's whatever you want to use.

Recently. Because of my computer exploding I

I have all my music my buddy was able to save

all of it But I don't want to have to click on

each individual file to get the file to show

up in iTunes As it's already downloaded so I

got a deal last month from Spotify the first

three months for a buck a dollar five So I've

been using Spotify for the last month or so and

Man, I've listened to songs on that thing that

I haven't heard in decades. Yep. Oh, God. Love

me some Spotify. So it mentions, like, screensavers,

and it shows, like, the unplayable maze. Mm -hmm.

One of my personal favorites was there was a

screensaver that it looked like the blue screen

of death. Oh, that's just wrong! And I used to

use it at school. When I was in middle school

to keep people off the computers I wanted to

use on lunchtime and during my free period and

so I would I would do that and they would think

the computers broke and they would turn it off

and put a sign on the screen and I would come

in on my lunch and turn it on and they'd be like

what did you I'm like I fixed it and then I'd

get on there and then I'd leave and then the

screensaver come back on and then they just put

it out of order on the thing till the next time

I came in I used to do it when I worked at the

car lot because everybody would prank everybody

and a lot of times they were maliciously wrong

with it. Because I was the computer tech at the

business, I thought it was humorous one day to

change a few people's computers to have the blue

screen of death screensaver. step because he

used to work for like two cows back in the day

and then somehow he ended up working at the car

lot so he knew a little bit of what was going

on and him I did a screenshot of his desktop

and then I hit all the icons you did not I did

I hit all the icons and I hit the start bar and

so and then I had the blue screen thing on there

as well so like it was a double whammy so when

I got into work that day he was not very happy

but um the other guy I had him going for about

six months with the blue screen thing and he

would just reboot the computer every time it

came on but it was the only way I could get this

guy to reboot his computer which was the sad

thing because like he would not reboot for like

30 days So like I would make this thing go off

and like he had to leave it alone for like an

hour For this thing to show up. So usually when

he'd go to lunch It would come on because nobody

would get on it and then he would come back and

then he'd just hit three start button So like

it helped keep him like because he was the one

that had the internet issues all the time and

and things not Loading and I was like you need

to reboot 30 days doesn't cut it. You get you

got to shut it off Here's another mention on

that list that kind of goes along with a prank

I used to do Okay, they talk about having wired

mechanical mice with the ball on it that you'd

have take it out Okay, when I worked at Blizzard

and this is going back When I worked there Blizzard,

I would go around some of the guys desks and

I'm balls Yes, I would take out take out the

ball from the mouth. So then I'd put it in my

drawer I put on their drawer put it in their

drawer or something The family mouse isn't working

and I go because it doesn't have any balls Look

at it they flip the mouse over they go And they

immediately start going where did you put it?

Where did you put it? Where did you put it? Where

did you put my balls? Humorous thing so But yeah,

I mean I used to do that one too One of the things

I used to do when I worked at the Carlotta is

because they're all optical mice you just tape

a piece of paper underneath And then it would

glide fine and they're like hey, it's not working

Or like the other thing somebody throw a piece

of paper on top of me I used to do that to the

phones to Put the piece of paper over the mouthpiece

and like or the earpiece and so they would like

most people if you made it small enough They

wouldn't even notice Where we'd use translucent

tape, you know, so it was like super clear Also,

I could think of his crisp rock and we the weapon

for it that it enough for it Oh, I gotta stop.

I gotta start over Wow, I forgot about this one

on the list because I remember playing this but

uh, it says Windows in Carta, oh my god where

they had the mind maze Oh, yes. I forgot all

about that, but I did play that. Wolfenstein

3D, Duke Nukem, all that stuff. Yeah, CDs. It

says spending hours with educational reference

CD -ROMs like Microsoft Dinosaurs. Playing games

with joysticks. Yes. Where you couldn't just

plug them in and they would work. You had to

sit there and do this like... tedious programming,

and then if it didn't work you had to do it again.

You had to calibrate it, you had to put in the

drivers for it, you had the right and the updated

driver to get it to work. Now you just install

the Xbox software and you plug in an Xbox controller

and it just works. required you to look up words

in the manual in the form of copy protection.

I remember that there was a I think it was where

in time or where in Europe and it was an NES

version of the game where they gave you a copy

of Fodor's guide to Europe or guide to the US

and you had to look up stuff in the guide in

order to be able to tell what it was. Oh my God.

I remember playing that. And then speaking of

the mouse thing it says removing the ball from

the wired mechanical mouse to clean it Yep Because

like now you got to clean the the pads that are

on the bottom of the mouse Yeah, yeah, but cleaning

the pads is better than having to take your balls

out and wash them pretty much And you need to

get like an eraser or something just to get in

there and get the like the little Mechanical

thing that would you know roll the ball around

Just to get the the lint out Yep the word art

oh When everybody thought word art was awesome

And it still looks tacky and they're the only

one in there that was actually cool is the one

where they had like the the the silver and the

red in the gradient where it looked like you

could type Transformers in that and it would

look like an older like g2 logo Yeah, you know

or actually you know one of the later toy lines

anyway Yeah When they modernized the logo not

not the original g1 logo, but when they yeah

like like armada type stuff And then Microsoft

paint was paintbrush. Oh I remember drawing in

that thing. It was horrible horrible. I would

rather use Mario paint You would go there hey,

it's got a mouse Recording yourself and playing

it backwards at two times the speed Sound recorder

those that thing was horrible because you you

could not It wouldn't just go on forever You

know, it would stop I remember a buddy mine and

I be practiced we did that we put our voices

in and We got it to play the devil is good backwards

and then we kept repeating what it sounded like

We said the devil is good while playing it backwards

and then we actually played it and it actually

came out We played it backwards. Normally it

came out saying the devil is good, but it made

this weird sound to it You could do some creepy

stuff with the sound recorder app And I actually

used to put my Because we didn't actually have

a microphone if you plugged in your speaker to

the microphone jack It would operate as a microphone.

You don't even want to get me started on... Well,

because I did that and I used to record TV shows.

Oh boy. Because I was curious if it worked and

it did. It wasn't like the crispest sound, but

it worked. I also figured out that works if you

do it with a tape recorder. You plug in the headphone

jack to the microphone jack on the computer and

you can record through the input of Audacity

on it. I'm so old at this point. When I had rented

Transformers the movie, I swear to God, if I

have to say 1986 one more time. The real movie.

I would put, yeah, the real movie. I would put

my tape recorder right up against the TV, and

I would tell my mom, you have to be silent for

the next 86 minutes. I never, never got a clean

recording off of that thing, because either she'd

run the water or be washing the clothes or whatever.

Never got a clean cassette recording. However,

since DVD and whatever else, Steve knows this

because he was the one that helped me get the

monitor that I have now my monitor crashed Was

it last Christmas or Christmas 2015 2015? Okay,

two years ago two years ago at Christmas right

before Christmas time my monitor died and I could

only get it to come on for about five seconds.

So I'm sitting here Looking at the mouse looking

at the screen looking at the mouse looking at

the screen to make sure I could get a file open

the first thing I had open was my recording from

because I didn't have the 30th anniversary set

yet, but the the 20th anniversary DVD I had recorded

for transformers movie just the audio so I could

use the audio and whatever podcasts were doing

and I just listened to that all day until He

did too. He was live tweeting with it. Yeah turning

on and off his monitor. Yeah, and it was rather

impressive So yeah, then there's then there's

Clippy oh Clippy I hated that thing It wasn't

just Clippy though. They had the little red Bouncy

ball they had Einstein they had the magician

they had the earth They had the office puzzle

pieces. They had the little robot, the mouse,

or not the mouse, the cat and the dog. Clippy

was Googling the... You could actually throw

them in the garbage though. Yes, you could. And

he would be like, no. And I'm like, yes, go away.

The it's no safe to turn off your computer. Mm

-hmm Then it says the crackling sound when you

turn your monitor off and to wipe the static

off Yeah, I remember doing that. I used to go

in and actually change the Microsoft Sounds know

the loading screen and the shutoff screens. I

figured out how to do that by altering some bitmap

files That were in the Windows folder So I could

see my own yep, so I Also used to get hacks so

that I can make it look like the next version

of Windows without actually being the next version

of Windows So I'm gonna change stuff I remember

going through and changing the music because

on the Windows 95 CD if you bought it if you

bottle actual version of it they came with The

they gave you some startup sounds and one of

them was start me up by Rolling Stones You got

that they also had things like For some odd reason

they put Weezer's buddy Holly video on there

and I have no idea why but that was you know

that you could watch on on the actual CD itself,

so My favorite thing that was on the Windows

98 disk was they had the game hover Mm -hmm Which

I don't know if anybody remembers, but I remember

it briefly we used to play that a lot along with

fury 3 which I I have the fury 3 disc and It

will not actually play on my windows 10 machine

so I had to get a there's Some site that they

that somebody modified the executable file so

it will play But I actually own it so it's not

like I'm bootlegging it Some of those older games

I wish they would come out with I'm like an updated

CD so you can still like kind of play them for

light nostalgia purposes Mm -hmm. Yeah, so There's

there's some things like I know that there's

there's like old boot loaders that you could

download Yeah, absolutely. I mean, we could,

you know, we could talk about old technology

all night long. Oh, yeah. Just, you know, from

where we've come from to where we are now. Now,

just remember, Clippy and Microsoft Bob led you

to the creation of Siri. No. And Cortana. Yeah.

And the Amazon Echo and Google. All right, this

is the last thing I'm going to bring up. I took

a screenshot of this. A friend of ours, Lady

Rek, Amy, who does the pull -bag stuff with me,

she was looking up. I was telling her, because

it was you, Doug, or somebody said something

about iOS 11 for the mobile stuff. And I forget

if it was you or if it was somebody else. She

showed it to me. I looked at it, and I'm like

we're both like hmm this surprisingly looks like

Windows And I took a I took a screenshot of the

thing of the image that they posted and I Hit

my start button at the same time, so I have my

start menu up And yeah, I mean the stuff for

mobile looks. I mean they've got tiles here on

the iPad They've got the dock at the bottom.

I mean, granted, Windows doesn't have a dock,

but we have the task bar. But yeah, it looks

remarkably like a Microsoft thing. Oh, God. Microsoft

Bob is going to make a comeback though. Oh, please

God, no. I already know that Samsung's got Bixby

coming out. What they keep having problems with.

Of course they'd have problems with Bill Bixby.

He's dead. Anyways, I think we'll wrap this up.

So, I think we've had a decent conversation on

nostalgia and superheroes and comic cons. Those

gonna be grumbling all weekend long in a couple

of weeks folks. That's all you're gonna see of

him on Facebook is Oh I'm gonna like I told you

that I was gonna call it the radio stations and

just Please please I'm gonna beg I'm willing

to do you know anything that doesn't involve

You know prostituting myself out in a very literal

sense, but I'm willing to do almost anything

for tickets That's hilarious working stand out

on Harbor Boulevard naked with a sign saying,

you know, we'll dance for tickets Yeah, that

would not be a pretty picture folks trust me

I look like kingpin right now Yeah Stronger in

them for what you need That's yeah, it's true.

Yeah. Yeah talk about talk about shadows in the

glass We're gonna be will find talking about

my generation Doug Well right now talking about

my generation is on hiatus. I am trying to get

that back up and running Eventually, it will

be back at my my generation podcast calm So be

on the lookout for it, I'll have something posted

about it. Cool, cool. Where can they find you,

Blanchard? I am at TF2 and Mike on Twitter. And

I am at SCP -21, and yeah, we're closing into

episode 200. I think there's like two episodes

left. So, yay! Yay! Yep, kind of excited about

that. So until next time, get altered, get geeky,
