Use something. Yes, something a little bit new.
Just slight title change. It just seems to be
more flowing. I'm your host, Steve Megatron Phillips.
Joined with... Michael Powers, host of Off the
Cuff for Geekcast Radio. Yep, and We've had quite
a bit of feedback since last week. Oh, yes And
it's been good feedback, too Yeah, apparently
we did a good job of you know Honoring Connor
Murphy's request of dividing up the topics a
little better to make it a lot easier to follow
I was worried about whether or not we actually
accomplished that one Yeah, it wasn't particularly
painting paying that close of attention to it.
I mean, I was trying to mention it, but I was
always trying not to. I don't know segment segment
stuff segmented too much. But yeah, I had some
great comments, especially about the Batfleck.
Yeah. I you know, we did go through these different
stages of grief. as Plato's lament said. By the
end of that show, I was actually okay with the
casting. I guess acceptance for it for me came
on Saturday when I kind of realized that Ben
Affleck had the same chin as the DCAU Batman.
And the Arkham games. Yeah, so I was just kind
of like alright cool fine It also prompted the
wife and I to rent Argo and the town We've only
watched Argo and Surprisingly My wife actually
enjoyed Argo as well. I Mean I enjoyed it. I
was just kind of surprised she did because she
usually doesn't like the slow talking espionage
movies Yeah, my wife doesn't either but Affleck
managed to make it gripping enough That she was
actually entertained by it so I mean obviously
he's not directing the Batman Superman movie
But you know I I saw shades of like I mean he's
got a beard in Argo, right? so I kind of saw
shades of the Rundown worn out Bruce Wayne if
you will yeah Which obviously Bale gave us as
well, but I'm okay with it. I've moved on to
other questions about the DCCU, the DC Cinematic
Universe. Mainly who they're gonna cast as the
Joker. What the Batmobile's gonna look like.
Because that I think that's gonna be a huge Beyond
the suit that's gonna be a big deal for me Yeah,
I'm pretty sure I'm gonna be pretty much on par
with you there. I'm thinking the suit and the
The Batmobile are gonna be the the main key features
for me Yeah, like what do you what do you want
to see? I think we touched on it a little bit
last week. What what do you want to see for the
suit? Know we talked about like the we we'd like
the black and gray I know a lot of it got talked
about on Twitter specifically right, but I'm
pretty much hoping that we either get a very
dark dark blue With like a dark gray or having
the actual black with Like the dark gray Kind
of costume, and I don't want to see it armored
like all the previous ones I don't want to see
it all black like all the previous ones. I mean
we've never actually had since the 66 Batman
a two -tone bat suit Right I think given the
way they like we said on the last show and on
Twitter But you know people we get new listeners
all the time hopefully um I I hope they go more
the man of steel route where it's like a textured
spandex look less armor plating and more like
chiseled skin like i can see it i can see it
not being the alien texture that the man of steel
had and i can see it being like a flat texture
but like with little um i guess it would look
like armor plating but you could do things it
would not be armor plating do you know what i'm
saying yeah i know what you're getting at um
It's like you could it would look like a suit
it wouldn't look so alien It would look like
something that he made or had manufactured for
him the one thing I don't want to see on the
suit is the yellow bat symbol I don't think they're
gonna go that route just because of the particular
bat signal they chose to go with the Superman
logo for the Batman Superman yeah, but that was
also like that could have been like a placeholder
image you know what I'm saying like it could
have been but I think they're gonna keep with
the Even in the comics they've they've kept with
this bat symbol that doesn't use the the black
and yellow I know I'm just putting out my opinions,
you know, it's like I don't want to see like
the yellow utility bell I don't want to see the
yellow the yellow bats. So those are just things
I never really I never liked about the Batman
The of all the different incarnations. Those
are the things I didn't like about the Batman
thing and since this is new It's stuff that I
don't want to see, you know, it's like I don't
I don't want that so With regards to the Batmobile
like again, we talked about on Twitter the DCAU
Batmobile like the first generation and the second
generation one Yeah, I'm okay with the first
the the first generation one. I'm really okay
with the second generation one I'm I'm Sort of
okay with I was in love with the Tumblr from
Nolan's Batman Because it was a very It served
a purpose. I mean it did not need to be he'd
not be need to be driving around in a sports
car He needed something utilitarian that could
get the job done, and it didn't look like a bat
I don't like when Batman stuff looks like a bat
Yeah, and and the thing that always there's two
examples. I always have the bat credit card that
he had in Batman and Robin And, you know, the
going back to the Adam West Batman again, the
bat shark repellent. Like. I just I don't like
the bat themed gadgets. I know he actually. Oh,
no, I'm in complete agreeance. I know he actually
had batarangs in Nolan's universe, but. They're
not on screen all the time. You don't see them.
It's just like, I don't know. I've never been
a fan of the. The bat theme the gadget so the
the less they have of that the more. It's just
a guy dressed up You know in a bat suit The better
the less the less childish it appears. I guess
in my mind. Yeah well, otherwise you're going
back to that campiness that the 60s show had
and that the later to 90s Batman films had well,
let's not I mean even to a certain to a certain
regard Tim Burton's Batman's had the Bat Gadgets
too with the remote control Batarang and let's
not forget that even though of all the previous
films, all the Batmobiles that I liked, I did
like the 89 Batmobile right up until they had
that Batmobile and Batman Returns and the Batmobile
just got stupid Yeah, where they split it into
a bat pod. Yeah, it was like it became the bat
pod and then like it had that lift in it It's
like that's not What are you doing? That doesn't
work. I know it was just dumb Yeah, so I mean,
but again, but all this stuff is like 20 years
ago And superhero movies have come a long way.
We're just discussing what we don't want to see
Now have you seen the Bryan Cranston rumor I
have and I've seen it all over the place some
places confirming that it actually was real and
then I've seen a couple other comic book sites
say that it's just a very strong rumor the I
saw the link that was was posted by our site
and It took me to a website that I've never heard
of and I've been waiting for that that information
to show up on sites that I that I quote -unquote
trust and I haven't seen it the only thing I've
heard is the the rumor of Bryan Cranston and
that the rumor is that it will be announced at
the closing after Breaking Bad has its series
finale like I haven't seen anything like hardcore
that he is in the movie But I would not be opposed
to him playing Lex Luthor No, and see for me
one of the other arguments. I was kind of having
on the site With With They was Jason Ritter.
Yeah He was basically stating that He would like
to have mark strong as Lex Luthor and Bryan Cranston
for Jim Gordon, which I can see that too Mostly
in the the Bryan Cranston playing Jim Gordon
because I think he'd make a really good Jim Gordon
But I also think he'd play really good Luther,
so I'm really I'm fine with him either way Whatever
way they choose to go if they use them at all
Well the argument against Mark strong for Luther
is that he was Destro not Destro. I'm sorry Sinestro
In the green yeah, so they so they probably won't
use him at all Just because of that in case they
decide to resurrect that because he did play
really good Sinestro But yeah Cranston is either
I mean I yeah, I can totally especially you know
Frank Miller's Jim Gordon I can totally see Sorry
Cranston playing that role, but at the same time
Gary Oldman also filled that role spectacularly
well, too. I'm not Obviously one they're not
gonna use Gary Oldman again. I'm just you know
saying that that both incarnations of Jim of
Jim Gordon were cast off of Frank Miller's Jim
Gordon Yeah Rosenbaum I'm I'm sorry Steve Rosenbaum
is not gonna do it I know I would love to see
that too man, but I think well I think he even
said that he'd be interested in doing it But
I don't think that they'll actually call him
out to do it Yeah, because they'll want that
older Lex Luthor, which if they wanted a little
bit younger of a Lex Luthor I think he'd be able
to pull it off, but if they're looking for that
older kind of more Gruff Luthor to kind of go
with the batman older Batman kind of thing then
but I don't even see I I guess it depends on
what this is gonna sound really weird, right?
I guess it really depends on what facial hair
Because Ben Affleck doesn't look that old I guess
this depends on how no rough bat looks like he
can look obviously from Argo He can look pretty
gruff. So it's kind of like what? What five o
'clock shadow is Ben Affleck gonna wear? To play
Batman, you know what I'm saying? Or how much
are they gonna do to his actual hair on his head?
Exactly So, you know again all that stuff is
up in the air But you know if you imagine if
you can do that to Ben Affleck, you can probably
do that to Michael Rosenbaum Oh, yeah, and I
honestly I think he'd play it well if they they
did it because I mean he has previous experience
doing it and it's not like it's but I wonder
You don't think the studio Worry that that would
send mixed signals that One Superman obviously
to us. They're not the same Superman, right?
But yeah there you don't think that they'd be
worried about that sending mixed signals to the
audience of smallville I don't think they'll
do it honestly just because of that because he's
in a previous continuity and previous Screen
iteration of it For the same reason that they
won't pull Gary Oldman back as Jim Gordon. Yes,
absolutely But even though he played it really
well So I mean I agree in that sense, but at
this point Anybody that watched smallville? Is
gonna watch this stuff anyway and pretty much
knows everything and then most of the people
that haven't watched smallville Don't even know
what he was associated with anyway, so right,
so I mean it's it's it's People that know that
show we're gonna know that it's different than
this one anyway Just because of the way that
they went about Superman and Clark Kent so right
But yeah, I'm Kind of an agreeance with that
and then again with the the Batman thing I'm
hoping they go new 52 route or something with
it, but yeah now I am I heard, you know, the
one thing that kind of remains unconfirmed with
this whole project is how involved Christopher
Nolan is going to be. I think he's done. I think
he's passed the torch on to like David Goyer
and whoever he works with. I'm pretty sure he
already did. So now, having said that, someone
brought up an interesting point that maybe Affleck,
because the town is supposedly good. I haven't
watched it yet and Argo was fantastic. Maybe
they're hoping that Affleck will anchor, will
be Christopher Nolan going forward. Kind of like
with that guiding hand and how things look or
feel and kind of reigning in Zack Snyder. Now,
I am one of those people that... I don't really
think Zack Snyder needs to be reined in all that
much. I like Zack Snyder's movies. But I can
see how having Affleck around on stage might
rub off on some things cinematically and help
things just from a director, from a guy that
directs movies standpoint, you know, just kind
of helping out. I'm interested to know if we'll
hear maybe if there if there's any like bad blood
between the two, like on set, like any set drama
and like if we might. Stuff like that might come
out of this. I think that'd be interesting to
hear But I don't know I think I Yes, I've come
to acceptance with it. I think you have too.
Yeah, I pretty much have at this point I'm I
I was like we stated last time it was kind of
initial shock It was more and we even stated
that then that it's initial shock that after
everybody's let it settle now on the other hand
I have seen and my mom actually sent me this
post earlier today there was a petition I don't
know if you've seen it I've heard about it okay
well there's this she sent me this link from
it was on Xfinity's page it says 80 ,000 fans
petition against Affleck as Batman And then it
says that their, you know, die -hard Batman fans
made it clear that they don't want him playing
it, so they signed a petition over at change
.org demanding that the Academy Award winner
be ousted from the Man of Steel sequel, you know,
said to feature the Dark Knight. And the guy
that started it is saying, you know, he's not
intimidating enough for the role of Batman and
he can't carry a movie on his own and is certainly
no superhero, which... Then he goes by saying
that, you know, I'm not saying anything against
Affleck and, you know, blah, blah, blah, but
he's sitting there bashing him and, you know,
it's like, yeah, I mean, his older stuff, I can
see where you could say that, but some of his
newer stuff, he definitely shows his range a
lot more and that he can play a down and dirty
character. So I think that, uh, Even from the
the various other people that have played Batman
like Adam West and Kilmer and everything have
you know and Matt Damon have all said You know,
it's kind of a you know, he'll play it. Well,
and it's they just have to give him a chance
Yeah, I mean like one of the interesting tweets
I saw about it, you know in the fallout from
this was let's judge you on something that you
did ten years ago Yeah, I mean it's That's I
mean I even know how the the judging ten years
ago thing works because I had my financial aid
kicked back at college because something I You
know screwed up my grades ten years ago, and
they're like oh, it doesn't matter you even if
even though you didn't have financial aid ten
years ago it's like we're gonna take it away
from you until you can prove otherwise and It's
like I was you know 10 years younger at that
time I was a dumbass it's like kind of you know
you do what you do at that time and then now
you're more mature and you know can handle things
so it's it's you know I I don't have any ill
will against Affleck I again say it was a shock
but I I could definitely see him playing Bruce
Wayne Batman at this point and honestly there's
nothing that the fans are gonna be able to do
to change Warner Brothers mind It's like Disney
when they kind of set a goal in mind they don't
give a shit what you have to say Yeah, I mean
and I don't want to get I don't like getting
political but 80 ,000 people signed a petition
to have an actor Changed from a movie Yet like
there's so much other crap that just gets swept
under the rug, you know, it's like what One of
the jokes was we get spied on, you know, they're
passing legislation that allows them to spy on
us and all our things are being tapped and all
this stuff and nobody says a thing. And then
all of a sudden, Affleck gets cast as Batman
and 80 ,000 people get mad about it. It's like.
How? It's a priorities thing. Maybe my priorities
in a different place. Like, yeah, I had the initial
fan reaction, but it wasn't like, oh, Affleck
is just I. He is out of the entire all the lists
that we saw. I don't think he was on too many
of the lists that we saw. But he he's better
than most of the names that were on those lists.
And there are. I know those lists were. Well,
those lists were just terrible. Yes. Compared
to what they actually chose. And I mean, I mean,
it's it's just. Some of them are so stupid, like
I've seen a lot of like the memes going around
like they took the the Batman and Robin movie
and then they kind of dubbed the you know Matt
Damon on Nightwing kind of thing and Ben Affleck
in there and then I've seen the duck one and
then there's one that they have of the Joker
can't find it at the moment but it's you know
They they he says something in there and then
he says and then they announce Affleck is Batman
and everybody loses their minds You know and
it's good. Yeah, he fled your Joker. Yeah, it
was the Syria the oh, yeah, that's a warfare
in Syria and no one says anything and they laugh
like it's and everyone yeah that that was That
was both both funny and sad and that's exactly
what I'm talking about here There are plenty
of other things for this kind of Energy could
be put towards I mean I understand getting angry
about it or being upset about it because we were
But once you step back from it and and this was
said last week we when you started reading your
Twitter feed about it I started reading mine
and slowly There were some rational tweets thrown
in there that kind of helps Kind of makes sense
of certain things in there. Well, and I did notice
that the day after We did all this Everybody
seemed to kind of mellow out and then all the
sites started coming up with like the top 10
reasons why Ben Affleck would be a good Batman
Yeah, and again, but that goes back to the news
for it having been announced 30 minutes before
we sat down to record which was when nobody like
ours was literally That was we had just heard
it we might as well been like, you know Hanging
out or something and someone sent us a text saying
affleck got it out, and we'd be like what and
we just happen to be able to record that exact
moment Yeah, so I mean it was it was definitely
initial thoughts Like I said, I don't have a
problem with affleck affleck to me is kind of
like the way I feel about Leonardo DiCaprio Where
I don't have a problem with his movies. I like
his movies. I like his acting. He's just not
the reason I go to a movie Yeah And I can't really
say that Christian Bale was the reason I went
to go see a movie prior to Batman. I went to
see Batman Begins because it was a Batman movie.
And I didn't have a problem with Christian Bale
playing him. And I think for me, my initial response
was just more me being angry that it wasn't Christian
Bale. I like what Nolan set up. Yeah, I can see
that. Yeah, I think we've dived down that rat
hole long enough. Well, it's just I could well
we talked about the suit We talked about our
casting we talked about the Bryan Cranston I'm
I am I want to say rumor. Are we okay? Just saying
Bryan Cranston room because there is oh, yeah
Yeah, there's nothing official and then there's
all another rumor that's floating around about
Matt Damon possibly playing Aquaman Well, apparently
Matt Damon signed on to do interstellar with
Christopher Nolan cuz everybody's Joining Christopher
Nolan's newest movie, so let's add Matt Damon
to it so yeah it Obviously that doesn't affect
him being Aquaman, but I don't see that happening
that would just be no fan casting so well It's
saying that he's rumored that he's being considered
for Aquaman or Martian Manhunter Yeah, and water
and Universal also wants him to come back and
do the Bourne movies Yeah, well, and he's more
considering the Bourne movies as long as green
grass comes back Exactly. Which, you know, I
mean, I guess kind of jumping into that, I guess
we can say some stuff about that. I did want
to move there off of your transition, but I just
wanted to because I don't know if we've said
this on a podcast yet, podcast form, or at least
so we can bundle this all together for our listeners
so they can comment on it. We skipped over who
we would like to see as the Joker. Oh, yes. I
think you and I are on the same page with we'd
like to see Rise Wakefield. the antagonist of
The Purge. Yes. Get it? He is so creepy playing
that character that I got Joker vibes just watching
him. I got those same feelings too and we had
a couple comments mainly from Dan from GeekCastRadio
movie revolt on Twitter so that he asked isn't
he too young uh to play the Joker against you
know Henry Cavill or Ben Affleck and I just I
commented back I said I think that would make
it all that much more creepy um of a character
to have a younger a younger guy um playing the
role um but he is a he is an unknown I don't
think I've seen anything that he's been in except
for the purge um so but that that that's my choice
I can't really, again, it kind of goes back to
the Batman thing. I can't, I really can't see
it until someone puts an idea in my head. Kind
of like how I jumped on the army hammer trip
after somebody mentioned him as being Batman.
You know, I just, I got to see, people need to
start compiling a list about who they want to
see the Joker. Yeah, let's do the, maybe even
have a You know an idea of who you would have
as your kind of DC dreamcast of certain Maybe
certain villains. I mean even from the bat family.
I mean Joker Riddler, you know any or even some
obscure ones that are Mainstays, but that haven't
had a proper portrayal in film I'd like to see
the Riddler get redone. I would too. I think
he has a lot of potential I I'm gonna say this
because I said it on the lunchroom and it caused
an argument with with TFG one mic But I'm just
gonna say it cuz I still have this opinion. You
know, cuz it's I would like to see Jim Carrey
get another shot at the Riddler. I I would I
I don't blame His portrayal of the Riddler on
I blame that on The studio the Joel Schumacher
the studio that the whole thing I think if you
put Jim Carrey in the DCA you Riddler suit with
the green suit the black shirt and the purple
tie and The bowler hat with the question mark
on it. I Think I Honestly think he could pull
it off because he's done more he can do the dramatic
creepy thing. I enjoyed his I Just enjoyed him
and kick -ass, too Obviously it won't happen.
I'm just saying that that's something that I
would like to see done. I would like to see him
get another shot. It won't happen. Just throwing
it out there for special purposes. Well, like
at the time, I think he would have made a better
Joker than he would have the Riddler back then.
Yes. That was more of a Joker kind of portrayal
than Riddler. I do think that he probably could
play it. I mean just looking at some of the creep
value of like the number 23 I was going to reference
that movie, but I haven't seen that movie personally
so I have it's it's pretty creepy and it's pretty
serious, but he plays it really well and it's
it's a complete mind screw and it seems like
something like it almost seems like kind of like
a Thriller kind of thing, but it's it seems like
it's all Riddles and numbers and stuff like that
so I can see him playing it What's interesting
about the number 23 and that being a dark over
trail, so the number 23 was also directed by
Joel Schumacher. Wow, that's blow your mind,
didn't it? That's crazy. Yeah, WB. If you if
you read some of that stuff, if you read like
certain interviews with certain people, it comes
down to they wanted to make toys. Yeah, so they
wanted to make it complete kid crap. Yep. um
and then you know it got spun into oh we're just
we're just going after a different era of Batman
and then it was whatever it's all crap but yeah
let us uh the DCCU uh is being rebuilt you know
you've got Henry Cavill playing Superman uh you've
got Ben Affleck as Batman are the only uh two
main characters we've got cast right now um Ben
Affleck is supposedly, this is another rumor,
signed to 13 appearances as Batman. Which they
just made, they did to him what I thought they
should have done to Christian Bale. Which was
just sign him to do cameos. You know, just have
him walk on and play Batman in a couple of movies
and then... It's the Tony Stark Marvel thing.
Yeah. So... Why don't you guys let us know who
you know, we just did the Wonder Woman thing
because we were talking about Batman and Wonder
Woman hasn't gotten a movie yet and a lot of
people feel that's a tragedy So why don't you
let us know who you'd like to see like play Aquaman
Hawkman Flash Wonder Woman again Let's let's
see if we can't cast this ourselves, let's do
like a geek cast radio fan alter geek fan DCC
you casting call Yeah, and then I can always
throw together like an image and having them
all kind of you know Superimpose the face or
something. Yeah, or or we can just do what the
normal websites do where it's like you got the
extra side Yeah, and and let's uh Let's do a
fan sourced a listener sourced list See if we
can come up with the most accurate and best -looking
list and see if see if Warner Brothers steals
it from us We can always hope Yeah, that would
be great. All right Let's put that aside. Yes
born. Do you want another born movie? I'm kind
of I'm kind of torn on that. I haven't seen The
oh my god, what's the most recent one the Jeremy
Renner one? Yeah born legacy. Yeah, that was
terrible. Is it? Yeah, it's on HBO go. I was
thinking about watching it I mean it's not even
his fault. I mean They were still trying to it's
like they were trying to tie it back into Jason
Bourne to some extent it doesn't it take place
at the same time as one of the other movies Yeah,
like the third man something I think so okay
But they they still have like a there is like
a picture of Jason Bourne in the movie that they
reference at one point. Then they're talking
about all these, you know, taking the blue pill
and taking this kind of pill, which, you know,
are supposed to be giving them certain physical
abilities that they shouldn't otherwise have.
The whole plot of it is, yeah, the whole plot
of it is, you know, that because of Jason Bourne,
the government wants to wipe out all these other
agents. Okay, like so all these other project
agents of Born like people they're they're trying
to wipe out and it's it's basically another you
know chasing born kind of fighting against the
government so Right. It seems like a lot of it's
rehashed and then a lot of it's kind of like
half -baked and they're trying to play off the
success of born to make it something and it's
not and now The rumor is that Universal might
want to bring Matt Damon and Jeremy Renner together
in a movie. Which they were leading towards that,
and I could have seen that, but there could have,
you know, if they were going to do that, they
should have put him at the end of the movie.
Yeah. Like a quick, you know, maybe a message
being sent or something dubbed in after the fact
or whatever. Right. But one of the things is,
is Damon doesn't want to do it unless Green grass
is the one that's directing. Yep Because he'd
like this portrayal and he liked the way that
it runs and and I have to agree I really enjoyed
those born films They were I remember I had an
issue with supremacy Because I think that may
have been the first time I Had seen a movie like
that where the action was as kinetic as it was
And I saw it in a theater And I sat too close
to the screen. I sat where I normally sit, but
for that movie that was too close to the screen
and I ended up getting like a headache halfway
through the movie because of the way that it
was shot. I did see it another time in the theater
and I sat farther back and did not get the headache.
Either way, headache or not, I still enjoyed
Supremacy and Ultimatum. I did enjoy The Bourne
Identity as well. I can use another one sure
why not universe is making seagulls all over
the place Yeah, I I'd go for another born as
long as they got Matt Damon back on board. Yes
That's the only way I'd want another one. Otherwise,
let it die All right, well Anything else you
want to say about a porn movie? No, I don't you
know. Okay. You got another story for us. Yes,
okay And I saw this earlier. I just thought it
was kind of interesting scientists say they found
a key to actual warp drive Did they find it in
the couch kitchens, I don't know they they said
that they have a new theory on space travel and
They're they're trying to draw it from Star Trek
obviously Being that that's where warp drives
from right, and it's not the not the glitter
drive from Into darkness. It's I hated that so
much. I did too. I was like, that's not what
it looks like They put the twinkle noise in there.
I know and it sounded like Where's Tinkerbell?
But I didn't should have clapped really hard
so that they could go faster But yeah, I mean
we've already got the technology of the mobile
phones and the tricorder and They're working
their way towards you know creating stuff from
nothing for replicators and certain kind of holodeck
type technology, but They're talking about creating
work bubbles So it's a more field yeah, and They're
saying basically a vessel shaped like a football
with huge huge rings around it those rings would
use some kind of matter that could, in theory,
cause space -time to contract in front of it
and then expand behind it. Antimatter with dilifium
crystals? I don't know how they would even do
this. I'm sorry. But it's, I mean, it sounds
so far -fetched, and I don't think that's anything
we'll ever see in our lifetime. I just, I love
that there are people working on this. Oh, I
love the fact that people are trying. I mean,
that's great. Personally, I'd rather see a transporter
at this point in time You know and Except for
the fact that you know, there'd be people getting
mutilated all the time because like that guy
pissed me off at work That's up the transporter
for him today. You know what? I remember when
I was a kid, you know back when Discovery showed
real television educational television They had
a show called Beyond 2000 Okay, I I could be
way wrong here. I'm not gonna go try and track
down the episode But I remember at the tail end
of one of their episodes they were talking about
transporters and they were talking about in a
building somewhere some guys had moved a nail
Like using a teleportation technology from like
one end of the building to the other They moved
a nail like an inanimate a small inanimate object.
I know This may not have been beyond 2000 I could
be completely out of my mind and I haven't heard
anything about it since Anywhere and it just
seems like if something that big had happened
like it would be like a bigger thing But like
I said, I haven't bothered to look into it so
i don't even know if it's true or if it was just
like or it could have been because of how old
i was i could have missed the uh this event is
dramatized for television or something like that
uh yeah but i i i don't quite know and i haven't
seen a beyond 2000 episode um recently because
discovery doesn't play those types of shows anymore
um but i vaguely remember something like that
but i don't know if it was that kind of show
where it was like fact based or if it was more
like just like these are hypothetical theories
that may never happen or something like that.
I don't remember if it was like a modern marvels
but for future stuff or if it was like future
stuff, completely science fiction stuff. But
yeah, I would like to see some form of teleportation
even if it's just the ability to fax inanimate
objects. That would be cool. So I know that they
did create invisible aluminum Like they didn't
start right for the voyage home they've managed
to make aluminum Invisible it's still solid,
but they've managed to do the molecules to the
point where they can make it Completely transparent.
I was gonna say isn't wouldn't invisible aluminum.
Just be clear aluminum I'm not saying it's not
a cool feat. I'm just like, I'm like, why would
you call it invisible? Why would you just call
it clear aluminum? Yeah, I mean it's like in
Star Trek for the Voyage home. Right, the aluminum
glass. Yeah, and it's super strong or whatever.
But anyways, they managed to do it for I think
10 seconds before it disintegrated. They never
did it again. I was like... Don't know. I don't
even know how they deconstructed. It was like
somewhere over in like Germany or something like
that I was like still cool Yeah, let's build
invisible walls so people you have to get drunk
to make invisible invisible aluminum That would
be funny another question. Did it ever exist
in the first place I? Saw it on a lot of different
sites. I mean it wasn't It wasn't on just general
geek sites. It was on I think I saw it on some
other stuff But then I never heard from it again.
It was around the time of the hadron collider
and all that stuff, so But yeah the I'd like
to see like a holodeck type technology transporter.
I mean warp drive would be cool, but I Really
don't see that the holodeck stuff. Have you heard
of this um? oculus rift The this new virtual
reality put the goggles on No, no, it's it's
it's new it started out as a Kickstarter project.
It's called oculus rift They just they just came
out with the oculus rift HD which puts two 1080p
screens in front of your eyes I really want to
play with one so far certain developers have
passed it into like Wolfenstein do oh wow I think
Half -Life has a mod for it and games and like
first -person shooters and it's the VR headset
that we all wanted in the 90s. Oh yeah. Where
you turn your head and that's how you move the
camera for the game by turning your head. Now
there are no accompanying gloves where your hands
show up in front of you. You still use a mouse
and keyboard or a controller. to interact with
the world, but the camera is controlled by you
actually moving your head. That's cool. It's
kind of neat. With the next gen consoles coming,
people have asked if they will have support for
Oculus Rift at some point. All that, I don't
know if Microsoft has said anything, all that
Sony has said is that they have Oculus Rift dev
kits. so while right now it's a PC only thing
and it's not even out for the public yet but
right now it's a PC only thing but it could eventually
come to consoles I'm interested to see how much
it costs because I just I don't know I think
it'd be really interesting to try something like
that out considering I've never had an experience
like that beyond you know the virtual boy but
who remembers the virtual boy yeah I barely remember
that so um But yeah, that goes back to the holodeck
thing. You start there, I guess. And I guess
there was another company that started a side,
it's not by the Oculus guys, but they started
another thing that kind of goes along with the
Oculus Rift. It's kind of like a 360 degree treadmill.
and it works with the oculus rift so you stand
in the middle of this thing and you just start
walking wearing the oculus rift and your steps
translate into movement in the game and but you
never and you never move in the real world you're
just in like it's kind of like you're walking
in a like the bottom half like imagine like a
300 and like the like a gerbil like a hamster
wheel right you're walking in something like
that but it's not like a full wheel it's you're
like in a bowl Yeah, and so you can like turn
around and like walk to the side and you know
when you turn your head the camera turns and
like there's there's a an accompanying project
to the oculus rift like you put those two things
together you kind of get Yeah Kind of get a holodeck
out of it kind of kind of okay like the baby
steps baby steps at least we're going they're
going in that direction as I guess is what I'm
I'm saying we're not getting like entire rooms
of it yet, but you know they're going in that
direction So all right next story Well besides
that There's kind of have you seen the the thing
of It's a chick from Battlestar Galactica or
whatever it was then that she wants to play Harley
Quinn if it ever makes into a live -action film
Okay, Battlestar Galactica, the only one I know
of - There's a Katie Sakoff, or whatever I think
that - Isn't she like - I don't - Okay. This
is gonna sound really bad, but she looks - If
it's not the person I'm thinking of, she looks
really masculine. Like, uh, let's see here. Um...
I - If - Is she - I think she's the one that's
in Riddick. Yes. I - I don't know. Yeah, she's
in - I haven't seen - Yeah, she's in the new
Riddick movie. I couldn't. Oh, yeah, she is.
I mean, I kind of see that, but not really. I
don't know. Like, it depends on certain images,
like certain ones, she looks too doodly and then
other ones she doesn't. I don't know, obviously.
Revisited if she's ever cast. I'm just not seeing
it right now. I know I made a joke with movie
revolt about I don't know if I really want to
say this on here, but Miley Cyrus getting the
Harley Quinn role just cuz just cuz she's crazy
just on the on the grounds that she's crazy That's
it. Not because I think she'd actually be good
at, but just on the grounds that she's crazy.
And then Dan brought up the fact that, you know,
it could happen a couple years from now and they
turn it into a musical. Oh, destroy it. Destroy
it. So anyways, yeah, enough about that. Yeah.
Oh, man. Oh, did you know that it's 20 years
of since the Power Rangers originally debuted
I Okay, I was not a Power Rangers guy but My
sister's boyfriend has been watching Power Rangers
Ryan Cox on Twitter has been talking about Power
Rangers. You guys have been talking about Power
Rangers I remember enjoying the white and the
green ranger. Yep I've been Toying with the idea
of watching it because I never I never watched
it religiously as a kid Like this just wasn't
my I think I was one of those people that was
just like it's Voltron and Never bothered with
it. I mean, I like I like the toy I get that
I get that it's not I don't need to be jumped
on about it, you know how they're different I
did like playing with the toys because the neighbors
of the street had all the toys like I did like
playing with all that stuff and But I did yeah,
so I did know Because I was informed by you know
followers geek has radio. I did not personally
know that cuz I'm not a fan Yeah, I only knew
that because Mike's been posting it all over
today And I've seen it all over all the Power
Rangers stuff um my My experience with Power
Rangers is I watched it kind of off and on through
the Mighty Morphin era, which is the original?
Partially through zeo and then I was like yeah
the hell with this I'm done and Just recently
because of the from the command center podcast
also on GeekCastRadio .com They kind of go episode
by episode covering one whole series every time
like the cast and name changes of the show. It
really started changing names every season when
Disney owned it for a little bit. Well, they're
all based off of the Japanese Super Sentai stuff,
which I knew too. The to me the only characters
I really found interesting and that I liked Were
I have to agree as well the green and white Ranger,
which that's Jason David Frank played Tommy in
the show Which he also played the Red Ranger
in Zio and then played the Red Ranger in the
first like five or six episodes of turbo before
they Passed the torch talk about Was it was it
that wouldn't be a promotion was the opposite
promotion demotion talk about demotion technique
technically was a promotion only for the fact
that or it's kind of sliding over because they
lost a ranger after that they went down to five
and then They ended up bringing back the original
red ranger in zeo is like the gold ranger temporarily
that was kind of it was kind of weird, but uh
there's also a pretty cool episode in there that's
uh called forever red and it has every red ranger
my uh again sister's boyfriend told me about
that episode it's pretty good they have tommy
again in that and uh he brings all the current
red rangers to that point in the series including
the original and he's the zeo red so that's why
he's there and uh they fight serpent terror and
you've got Rejects from Big Bad Beetle Borgs
and some other Subban shows and But anyways,
yeah, and then Tommy went came back and like
Dino Thunder as the Black Ranger and that another
demotion Yes, and no I I say that just because
the green and white Ranger existed like outside
my limited knowledge to me the green and white
ranger existed outside of the traditional color
scale and for him to be a color that's in the
color scale like just seems to be like a demotion
to me yeah but um now that it's 20 years though
they're having in uh mega force which um mega
force is interesting only in the fact that kind
of goes and copies it tries to reproduce with
a new era touch of the original Mighty Morphin
show okay so like a lot of the stuff like they
have a Zordon like character in it they have
a you know the Morphers are similar they have
it seems like they're trying to too closely copy
the Mighty Morphin in it and not do their own
thing yeah But I know there's an episode coming
up when they go Super Megaforce, which is the
second season or something like that, when it
starts back up. It's like a giant ranger battle.
You have every era of Power Ranger fighting against
this one evil and they're having Tommy come back
as the Green Ranger in it. and he's like the
lead ranger of the entire group and then I guess
later he I guess in that same saga I guess he
becomes the white ranger again for whatever reason
so there's like well there's like him and both
I mean they've already you know like they're
the Adam that played the black ranger and Mighty
Morphin for a little bit there he was in numerous
series and came back off and on in that suit
so why not But yeah, they're they're talking
about making a Green Ranger movie Like on its
own like Saban and the guy that played the Green
Ranger How many movies have there been one to
do to? One was Mighty Morphin Power Rangers the
movie, which is really good just because it had
the white ranger And then they had turbo a Power
Rangers movie, which is like in between CEO and
turbo But that wasn't theatrical was it? Okay,
I remember liking the Power Rangers the movie
because the the Zords weren't You know Props
they were computer -generated For the most part
weren't they? Yeah, a lot of it was computer
-generated and they actually upgraded all the
suits they were more like body armor instead
of spandex. Yeah was that That was after they
got new animals, right? No, I think that was
before because technically the series technically
that movie stands outside of continuity, but
it technically it doesn't They they kind of they
they had them do ninja or in the TV show whereas
they had to go to some other planet in this It's
it's technically out of continuity, but it technically
explains the same crap But all of the stuff in
that film they had to create from scratch because
they didn't have access to the original Japanese
suits I I did like everything about that. I like
the way the suits look I like the the zords I
and I I tried watching it on Netflix like a year
ago or so and I just It wasn't doing it didn't
do the same thing for me that it did You know
a long time ago. I I'm one of those weird people.
I don't have nostalgia for a lot of things One
of those geeks that I am like nostalgia less
like I'm not I mean I played with the turtles
I played with transformers he man Thundercats
all that stuff and I'm not I have no You know
all that stuff is getting turned around and like
remade rebooted for like now and I'm just like
I Have no nostalgia like anger over stuff being
rebooted now. Maybe it's just because I would
like to see that stuff now Like that could be
like I'm just happy to see it back and And like
in them in in them in the mainstream Then I am
for it to be like a closet thing of that very
few people know about and have it be Dead, you
know what I'm saying? Like I I had a lot of fun
Going out and buying like I have the four Ninja
Turtles that Nickelodeon released for their new
show And I bought them because of the way that
they I liked the way that the figurines looked.
And I never would have done that. I wouldn't
have been able to do that. I wouldn't I I don't
have my original Ninja Turtles from when I was
a kid. But I love Ninja Turtles. I wouldn't be
able to have these awesome new figures if that
show wasn't being remade for a new generation.
Yeah. You know, like I feel like I feel like
with all this stuff being remade and stuff, it's
like it's it's it's. Kind of like I get to now
that I'm an adult and I have disposable income
to a certain degree I feel like all this stuff
coming back around now gives me a second chance
to collect and cherish the stuff that I either
destroyed as a child or Was sold at a garage
sale for something else. You know what I'm saying?
Yeah, so just I don't I don't have that I don't
get like I didn't get I'm not angry about the
way that Michael Bay What he did to transformers
because at the end of the day Transformers is
a lot about the toys and the toy that where they're
really good I don't think the toys were as bad
as the movie I mean from the collection that
my friend has of like the different transformers
figures some of them are pretty damn cool now
Yeah, some of them and it's and it's it's like
you wouldn't get that if You know what I'm saying
like you would yeah, you wouldn't get it if they
didn't remake this stuff For better or as bad
as the movies may or may not be in certain people's
opinions I just feel like you wouldn't you wouldn't
get that and It's just it's just nice I mean,
I like that stuff when I was a kid and you know
something like I liked it as a kid I'll watch
it now. I like thundercats. I like the remake
of thundercats. I didn't like the whiskers Shucks
no just Yeah, so personally I would like to see
a remake of dino riders They need to bring that
back, you know dino riders is right, please say
you do I'm gonna feel really old. I Got to look
it up. I just to verify know what I'm thinking
of there's there's like a whole series like dino
riders. There's sky commanders. There's our sky
commandos Santurians I would love if Centurions
came back. I remember Centurions. I had all of
those. I had the mom that absolutely loved me
and would camp out at Toys R Us waiting for shipments
to come in. And she actually worked at Toys R
Us so she would go through all the boxes and
pull all the stuff aside to purchase and bring
home for me. So I was the firstborn spoiled ass
son. that everyone knows about. Nice. And it
would be nice to have like I liked my Silverhawks
action figures when I was a kid. It'd be awesome
if they brought those things back, you know,
even if even if it was even if the show was stupid.
If it brought. Kind of like Thunder Kits. Yeah,
but if it gave me like the collect something
to collect, you know, like because I don't have
that stuff anymore and I'm not willing to pay
the collector's fee for the five figures from
Silverhawks. But did you find it? Did you find
Dino Riders? Yeah, I found it. I'm not familiar
with that. Okay. I thought it was a different
show. Yeah. Well, when I was a kid, I had all
the figures for it because it was a toy line.
But what I didn't know at the time is that the
cartoon was only 13 episodes long and was designed
towards selling the toys. Nice. And they were
made by Tycho, so you'd get a cassette. and it
would have two episodes on it and in the middle
of it, there would be a commercial for the toys.
Sure. So I never watched it all. Yeah, whatever.
I'm nostalgia tripping right now, but I don't
have the nostalgia bone that. A lot of geeks
seem to do or that that, you know, some of the
other hosts on Geekcast radio seem to have for
stuff. I mean, I like that stuff when I was a
kid, but it doesn't it doesn't resonate with
me now and I find it really hard to watch. Some
of that stuff. Maybe that's something we can
talk about on a future on a future show like
what? on a future show like what series did you
really enjoy as a kid, but Now you really can't
You know, it's it's not that it's not as good
as you thought it was when you were a kid, you
know I'm saying it's one of those ones that you
you pass out when you watch it now because you
think that You thought it was good. But yeah,
you realize you realize how dumb you were as
a child Yeah So, maybe we could talk about that
on a future episode. Yeah, I thought you were
talking Dino Saucers, that's what. Oh, I remember
that show, too. That show was good. That's the
one where they were anthropomorphized, right?
And they had the suit. Yep. Yep. Okay. I guess
that's another question we can ask the listeners.
If they've got any shows or stuff that they used
nostalgia to trip very hard for when they were
a kid, but now they can't stand it, why don't
you share some of that? I mean... One of the
nice things about doing this show is that we
can kind of talk about this stuff and then ask
a question. And then if we get feedback on it,
then we can talk about it some more. Yeah. So
it makes it nice. Because it's something you
guys want to hear. You're telling us what you
want to, excuse me, hear about. Like myself,
there's numerous shows I can't really watch anymore.
Like the original G .I. Joe, I really like it.
But something about it just kind of I'm like,
yeah, this is kind of 80s it's good and then
and then same thing with transformers generation
one I Can watch it within reason there's certain
episodes, but pretty much all I I watch it for
anymore is just the 86 movie Because the rest
of it puts me to sleep Yeah, I mean I I didn't
want to get I didn't want to go down that road
in this episode, so we'll just leave that at
that. If people want us to talk about this, then
we can... I agree with you about Transformers,
and I agree with you about G .I. Joe. However,
G .I. Joe, I can watch the movie with Serpentor?
Yeah, where Cobra Commander gets turned into
a snake. Yes, I like that. I like that because
I like the character of Serpentor. I like Cobra
Commander. I'm sad he gets turned into a snake.
But that one's that that movie is weird because
there's like aliens and yeah They said that that
was like blasphemy to the GI Joe universe And
that's also why a Duke didn't die at the end
is because they're like oh shit. We screwed up
with Optimus Prime. Let's fix it. Um, well, I
said a coma but like Transformers I You know,
I tried cuz everyone was in a tizzy about the
movies you know all the hardcore fans internet
exploded oh it's crap it's this that i like the
first transformers i i don't like the second
one i think yeah sure devastator is that the
right is that it yeah the one with robo balls
yeah okay that was dumb i i will hands down admit
that was dumb the two in the rail gun the rail
gun was cool No, I'm saying the rail gun. He
just all of a sudden calls in this rail gun to
take down the transformer. He says, I'm right
below it. Screwed him. Yes. Okay. Yeah. The whole
scene is dumb, especially given the character
that they were framing up in there. Right. But
for me, the most annoying part of that movie
is the twins. Yeah. I think that there needs
to be a collector's edition of that movie where
the twins are voiced by Martin Lawrence and Will
Smith. Bad boys. Yes, I and I I used I really
think that if had been those two guys Nobody
would have cared because it would have been like
a mini bad boys reunion In the movie see I could
have dealt with that I honestly could have I
I liked Transformers 3 A lot and one of the weird
things about one and three that's not All that
apparent in 2 is the sense of history, right?
Like the Transformers have been here before,
and this is how they were hidden, or that's in
1 and 3, but it's not in 2. Well, 2, they did
say that they were there before, like the Fallen.
Yes, but it's not as it was the the other primes
But they were locked inside a tomb holding the
matrix and it was a long time ago Like it's not
as like like the first one the Hoover Dam was
built to hide the cube, right? Yeah, like the
alternate history the reason we went to the moon
was because one of the transformer ships crashed
on the moon like when the in the second one it's
just they were here before and They yeah, there
was no rhyme or reason. Yeah, I That stuff, I
was so... Whatever. That's a couple reasons why
I don't like the second one. However, long story
short, because of the outrage that I sensed around
the internets and stuff like that and among friends,
I decided, hey, I'm gonna see what's up with
this. Because I remember Transformers as a kid,
and I don't... And I was like, I liked Transformers
as a kid, I liked the toys and stuff, I enjoyed
the movies. Maybe I should revisit it to see
what people are talking about. You can hate me
for this. All you want listeners and you too,
Steve. I don't I don't. The source material for
these movies is as bad as the as bad as the movie,
like I understand there's a following and that
there's a coherent story, but it's so like it's
so. There isn't anything there like it's it's
it's it's robots fighting over energy cubes.
at the end of the day, there's not a whole lot
to build on, in my opinion. And I say this having
not seen the whole run, the most, so any Transformers
show I've watched is Beast Wars, which I do like,
and Transformers Prime, which I also like. But
there's just not a whole lot there to make, you
know, an amazing movie out of. Yeah, I kind of
agree. I'm not I'm not I'm not trying to diminish
anyone's feelings about their property like my
opinions if you really like Transformers my opinion
should have no bearing on how much you like Transformers
because they're my it's it's my opinion in mine
alone, but It's just I don't know. I can't I
I did however Because one of my favorite cartoons
is Avatar the last Airbender I did understand
the fan rage when I went and saw M. Night Shyamalan's
The Last Hairbender. All of a sudden I understood
how Transformers fans felt. The only difference
being is that the source material that M. Night
Shyamalan had to work with is a lot deeper than
the source material Michael Bay had to deal with.
Yeah. And it's just, but again, my opinion, you
know, you can get mad at me if you want. I'm
not going to care if you get mad at me, but my
opinion of something should not change your listeners
feelings for how they feel about certain things.
But no. Let us know, is there a series that you
liked as a kid that if you watch it now that
you fall asleep to or you just can't stand or
you don't even know why you liked it as a kid?
Let us know, because this is a topic that we
can actually talk about some more that's not
Batman related. Yeah. So I guess we should talk
about you know to kind of keep it light just
before we ended The the favorite snack question
that we asked awesome. I was just going to go
there To close this out. Yes last week. We asked
what your favorite junk food or snack food was
regardless of you know those for movies or whatnot
Don't did we get I if we did I didn't bookmark
it. Did we get anything from Ryan? I Know I know
he got it might have gotten buried under all
the Batman talk on Twitter. It's possible. It
got buried however Jason Ritter on the website
told us that one of his favorite his favorite
snack is Cheez -Its I do like cheese. It's I
I think it's cheese nips that are the knockoff
Yeah, I'm not I'm not big on the cheese nips,
but I do like the cheese. It's TFG one Mike co
-founder of deep cast radio Says that he used
to like Pringles until they changed the recipe
Ever since 2000 they taste very different Than
what he remembers in the early 90s And that he
loves Lay's stacks now. I do like um First of
all, i'm a big potato chip guy Yep, I love potato
chips Um, I I like to think i'm a potato chip
kind of sewer um that said I Maybe the transition
for pringles to me because I didn't eat them
regularly They've always kind of been the same
to me i'm not saying that they didn't change
the recipe or whatever, but they've always had
a this They've always kind of been the same.
Similar taste. Yes. The Stacks, I do like but
I prefer the Pringles over the Stacks just because
they're Pringles. He also goes on to say that
he likes the Ben and Jerry pint ice cream. The
Everything Butt and Strawberry Cheesecake flavors.
I do like Ben and Jerry's. I have a pint of ice
cream sitting in my freezer that I bought like
three weeks ago to eat that I haven't even touched.
Nice. And let's see, he also likes Cheez -Its
and the white chocolate Reese's cups. I don't
know if I've had the white chocolate, but I do
like Reese's peanut butter. Does anyone know,
do you know if the Reese's peanut butter that
you can buy like in a jar for like sandwiches
actually tastes like Reese's peanut butter? Because
that just seems like it'd be death. I don't know.
I could probably ask my wife. I... I'm sure I'm
gonna get crap for this. I don't like peanut
butter. No. What? At all. No. The smell of it
drives me nuts. I love... Okay, crunchy peanut
butter? I don't like crunchy peanut butter. Creamy
peanut butter? I love creamy peanut butter. I
love putting peanut butter on just bread and
folding it over in half. Like a little like,
you know, peanut butter filled bread. Treat I
love peanut butter. I just I've never and I'm
a big fan of Jif. I like Jif peanut butter I
don't know that I've gone ever really gone too
far outside of the Jif stuff. I've never done
the Mixed the peanut butter and the jelly smuckers
where it's already pre -mixed My wife said that's
pretty bad. Is it okay? Yeah, I do however like
the smuckers pre -made peanut butter and jelly
sandwiches the uncrustables I do like those,
although that's not really a snack food. That's
more like, you know, the lunch food, but I eat
it as a snack. Now, if any of the listeners know,
is the Reese's peanut butter that you get in
the jar for sandwiches, is it the same as like
Reese's peanut butter cup peanut butter? Because
like I know people that like to eat peanut butter
on a spoon. So that just seems like it would
be like death. I don't know that I could stop
eating a jar Reese's peanut butter if it tasted
like the peanut butter. from the from the candy
so Sean Alteria Yep says that he likes goldfish
who doesn't like goldfish I Don't know I everybody
likes those now. I have it. I like the the the
regular cheese goldfish The classic yes the classic
ones. I'm not big on like the parmesan. I might
do like a bag of the pretzel ones every now and
then but it's weird goldfish never seem to last
that long like there's always like a lot in a
bag but then the bag is usually gone really quickly
for me anyways i just i love them it's like eating
cheez -its they just disappear yeah they do it's
crazy i mean to make longer lasting cheez -its
and goldfish yeah the everlasting um And then
you got one more from Plato's Lament saying that
his favorite snack is Pringles just because they're
easy to eat and less of a mess than a bag of
chips and there's many many flavors. Yeah a lot
of crazy flavors although then again there are
chicken and waffle lays so I think lays may have
taken the throne back from Pringles. That's possible.
Chicken and waffles. What kind of flavoring is
that? I don't know. Then there's like sriracha
flavored Lays? No, they should just have dirt
flavored. And then there's like they have garlic
cheese bread flavored Lays. It's just... Like
I said, I'm a chip connoisseur, right? So I tried
out the garlic cheese once. Not good. No, not
good at all. I guess they did this thing where
it's like they had people vote in with like a
recipe they'd like to see. And those were the
three that won and I'm like these are gross like
whoever Why these one whoever thought these words
should be the winners needs to be fired So, okay,
and we hit we have one other person Connor Murphy
Didn't I start? Oh, maybe I don't know. Oh, yeah
combos. Yes combos yeah i i do like combos too
i like the pretzel the the pretzel and cheese
um not a big fan of the cracker combos yeah i
like the regular ones i do like cheese i'm not
big on the on the pizza so much as i am the cheese
flavored ones um and yeah they they do have a
funky smell to them you can definitely smell
them i i myself i like uh for my Junk food snack
drink. I like coca -cola and then for My junk
food snacks I Like any of those chips that end
in O's like Doritos Fritos Cheetos okay chose
Pringles and then lays those are pretty much
mine other than that if you jump into ice cream.
I don't care about the brand I just like cookies
and cream Well, I like I said Chip connoisseur
here. I But I always I come back to lays too
I like my my my I've got two favorites right
now. One is a classic. It's the sour cream and
onion lays Love those chips however Haven't been
able to find them too many places outside of
Kroger and they have them in the natural food
section It's the Lay's natural chips. They're
like the simply simply Lay's they're Like okay,
so like the normal ingredients label for um I'm
sorry Wow just lost my train the normal ingredient
label for like a regular bag of Lay's chips,
right? Has like 20 different ingredients on it,
right? You're not you're not just getting chips
Um, the the simply lays bag has three ingredients
on it Like sea salt. Yeah sea salt expeller expressed
seed oil Sunflower oil and potatoes. That's it.
They're thick cut sea salt potato chips simply
lays. They're Amazing. They've got like the perfect
crunch to them. I just I get a I get a bag of
them every Tuesday and Saturday when I go to
work And I eat the entire bag Now, that sounds
pretty bad to a lot of people, but I'm at work
for 15 hours and 17 hours, respectively. So it's
not like I'm demolishing a bag in two hours.
No, I'm demolishing a bag over... I don't know.
I really like those. I do like my ice cream.
Not that often, though. I like ice cream with
peanut butter in it. If I get a McFlurry, I get
the Reese's McFlurry. Nice. drink -wise I like
I like Coke Zero and I like Diet Code Red Mountain
Dew those are my my two favorites so um all right

Next week's episode episode 6 is going to be
a well, they're all kind of pre -recorded, right?
But it's gonna be recorded Well right after we
finish this episode we're gonna well the next
day. Yeah, so Episode six if we don't respond
to your feedback for that episode. It's not because
we're ignoring you It's because it was recorded
a week early so that Steve could go on vacation.
Yes so and then we'll cover all of it between
the two episodes on the following episode episode
7 Where hopefully we'll have a lot of comments
to recap However as a teaser for episode 6 We
had an excellent question come in from Plato's
lament on the on the geek cast website he says
You both appeared to be two things married and
geeks for someone who is about to take that plunge.
How do you manage those two things? Being a geek
can take some time. You have comics to read,
video games to play, movies to watch, etc. Not
to mention the cost to all that. How do you all
manage that? And you know, not anger your wives
all the time. We will answer that on episode
six. If you guys want to comment in the comment
section or, you know, all the myriad of ways
that Steve just said to get a hold of us for
episode five about how you, if you're married,
how you deal with how you wrangle in your wives
or, you know, if you're not married, your girlfriend,
because girlfriends can be just as non -compliant
with geekdom as wives can. Let us know. We'll
share your thoughts with ours on the next episode,
episode six, and we will have a more current
episode with episode seven. Ha! Star Trek. Star
Trek. Ah! Star Wars. Okay, I'm done.
No chapter markers for this episode.
