About this Episode

Steve and Mike catch up on their week: Steve deals with vertigo and its treatment, Mike starts a new school term, and both prepare for Grand Con Gaming and Comics Convention in September. They discuss recent DC casting news including Matt Nabel as Ra's al Ghul in Arrow and Dwayne Johnson as Black Adam, debate whether Supergirl should join the CW's connected universe, and share what they've been collecting and using—including Mike's Beast Wars Transformers figure and new headphones.

the list goes on and on. Registration is open.

For more information, visit the website grand

-con .com. Hello and welcome to Altered Geek

Unlimited episode 56. I'm your host Steve Megatron

Phillips and joining me as usual is... Mike Booth

Ninja Powers. Hello. How are you doing, sir?

Pretty good. It's good to hear. I myself apparently

have a mild case of vertigo. It's very annoying.

That's not fun. It's all the pleasures of being

drunk without actually being drunk. Yeah, that

kind of sucks. I don't know how fun that actually

is. It's fun when you're not trying to work Not

so much fun when you are trying to work makes

it very hard to focus So I've been dealing with

that it started coming on on Tuesday evening

It didn't really have it last night But when

I try to get up this morning to go to work I

had to like hold on to the walls to walk out

of my bedroom Wow, it was really bad. So I had

my wife drive me into work and then I decided

that I see the thing with me is even if I'm like

sick and dragging I Will still take myself into

work because I would rather them send me home

then Call in sick to work and have them be like

hey you need to bring a doctor's note in because

you call off sick I'd rather get sent home and

then not have to worry about any of that stuff

and just be like hey you sent me home Yep, that's

that's the kind of game I play. So that's what

happened this morning. My wife dropped me off

and she got all the way home and the time it

took her to get home was the amount of time it

took for them to decide that they didn't actually

need me at work today. So soon as she got home,

she came back and got me and I went to the urgent

care and they told me that it wasn't an infection

or anything like that. They gave me a prescription

for some anti vertigo medication. Which I have

not been taking And they gave me some weird exercises

to do where they want you to they want me to

lay on my right side With my head facing towards

the ceiling for okay at a 45 degree angle for

30 seconds and sit back up and Then you lay on

your left side for 30 seconds Basically the What

he told me and you know, it's the easiest way

to explain this is basically there's a gyroscope

in your ear It's yeah, I can see that it's filled

with liquid and sometimes that liquid gets calcified

and Then it will break off. So there's a little

piece of debris floating around in my gyroscope

in my ear in my inner ear and It's it's hitting

the nerves at the wrong time so Basically, it's

filled with fluid. So when you sit up, the fluid

all rushes to a spot that sends a signal to your

brain that says you're sitting up. Well, this

piece is floating around and it's hitting the

nerves and it's telling my brain that I'm laying

down when I'm sitting up. And he said that doing

these exercises will get that piece to settle

down at the bottom of it. So it's not so it's

not floating around hitting these nerve endings

Feel like I said, it's not if I'm not in any

pain or anything like that. It's not I'm not

like inebriated or is that Hurting my ability

to think it's just the I have that that dead

Like calm. It's a really weird Calming feeling

that I usually get when I've had like a beer

or two So it's not it's not a feeling that I

hate It's just annoying when I'm actually trying

to function like a human being rather than hanging

out having a good time Okay, so like I when I

came home from work, I was fine all day, you

know playing video games, you know recording

some footage, you know working on off -the -cuff

stuff and And doing like, you know sitting here

recording this I'm not moving So I'm perfectly

fine, but if I were like get up and try to get

a glass of water It might take me I don't know

two or three more minutes to get back here than

it normally would Yeah, so that's been My day

other than you know the the tinkering I've been

doing with off the cuff and trying to figure

out what to do With the YouTube version of it,

and I finally settled on a concept video that

I've been Passing around in house, and I've gotten

generally favorable Feedback from that So those

the fans that actually are watching off the cuff

on YouTube will have something to look forward

to the audio guys not so much but Yep, we've

been up to Steve Well, I started school this

week I'm taking three classes instead of two

this time and Not quite sure how that's gonna

turn out, but it shall be a challenge I went

out and bought books today after having attended

the classes to make sure I was going to need

the book Because the last few terms I haven't

needed the books At all and I've spent the money

on it Now granted I get financial aid which definitely

helps But I Would prefer not to spend it if you

don't have to yeah, I mean I I'm still trying

to be money conscientious It's just I don't want

to waste it on something that's just gonna collect

space and I'm not going to use Whereas I could

be using that money for, you know, the expenses

of having to go back to school or computer updates

so that I can actually do the homework. So it's

kind of irritating because the one book, two

of the books were new for 2015. Well, actually

new editions for 2015 and they won't take the

old version. Which is kind of kind of irritating

Because my my one book for my online classes

It's I'd say it's like probably a hundred like

close to 200 pages, but it's The book is $254

brand -new. There's no rental. There's no used

It's because it's a new edition and they make

you do it because it's they're taking examples

from that book That's that's what they charge

and then The other book is like 201 new or like

178 or something used and then it's to rent it

Used it's like 108 and in new rental is like

148 I there were no used ones so I had to do

a new one so it was 148 and then the the other

book is like 50 bucks and then to run it it's

like 35 or something and Again, they had no used

in that one either. So So yeah, it was like $480

at the end of it and Wasn't quite that happy

luckily my financial aid covered it all So yeah,

there's that I did that today Because earlier

in the week it was packed and then I I went through

the entire website and I redid all of the the

featured images. So they're all uniform Does

that have a little inside baseball? Does it have

anything to do with why I'm asked to log in to

go to geek cast radio now? I Do not know like

I tried logging in earlier today to work on off

the cuff I went to geek cast radio comm and it

goes to that WordPress login like behind the

scenes saying that I had been Idle for 360 minutes.

Oh If you have an account already on the site

you log in it it does that but I don't that didn't

start happening to me until today Yeah, I I was

tweaking something and I was trying to force

log out a few people so Because they were having

issues with their accounts I just have to figure

out where the hell it's at to turn that off because

it annoys me as well Well, I was just a little

inside baseball. So if anyone was having trouble

accessing the site, that's why Yep. Yep and So,

yeah, I was doing that making them all uniform

and then of course some of the shows that regardless

of their Being canceled or retired or whatever.

I made new ones for those two and uh hey wait

a second sorry yes how did the featured art on

episode 57 for off the cuff become the youtube

video i changed it i took a screenshot of it

uh to make it so that it was all uniform oh i

can sorry it's already inputted in the the site

well i mean you can you can resize it to that

size well hang on uh more inside baseball uh

well you know i'll just i'm gonna send you that

art And then you can do what you need to do to

make to get that player thing out of there. OK,

cool. Anyways, yeah, sorry. I just like looking

at the site. I just noticed that I great podcasting

way to go me. Kevin brought it to my attention.

He said, yeah, they're all not uniform. And I

was like, oh, yeah, because the little tiny version

was from to two site versions ago. OK. And then

the kind of mid -grade one, which is what a lot

of the review shows or specialized, whenever

there's a weekly podcast update of the logo of

whatever's covered, those were not uniform either.

So the new generic ones for everything are uniform.

Because if you take a generic image from a TV

show or from something like that, it automatically

sizes it to this specified size. So I was going

through and just doing it for all the shows,

just that they're all uniform. I was redesigning

some podcast art and whatever in my free time

And I've been kind of digging into I'm trying

to make the flyers for the convention in a couple

weeks for Grand Con I'm looking forward to that.

I am looking forward to it as well I actually

was going through my Twitter feed trying to find

something and I found the image of you me and

Joe Stand into the picture. Oh When was that?

It was taken at Grand Con last year. Holy cow,

man You went back to you went back a year in

your Twitter feed Actually was trying to go back

as far as I could go to see if I could find a

post that I Had made with somebody and I didn't

see it Because it only goes back so far in Twitter,

I think it goes back a year or two so I found

the image of You stand in there kind of looking

at off in the distance in a weird light way and

then Joe's messing with his I can't figure out

what the hell they were called, but The mobile

type things. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah, and then I

was on Twitter Okay So I'm not even paying attention

And we have the little little tiny GCRN printout

With the logo which we won't have this year because

we have the actual banner So yeah, I was I'm

redoing the the flyer stuff with all the latest

podcast arts and information and I'm gonna have

some of the the promo podcast CDs of mp3 files

more or less to hand out So kind of give everybody

a glimpse of certain episodes of shows and Yeah,

the guys wanted to submit our um our episode

50 as the show to put on that The old the yeah,

which is the one where we did episode like 1250

or something like that where I actually guessed

it on the show Yeah, I was like we're not doing

that That was just alienate people. I have a

feeling. Yeah, well cuz no one would have any

idea what was going on Maybe like they'd be hearing

a bunch of old guys go, huh? Yeah, so we we we

nominated episode 51 because that kind of laid

out our direction which obviously quickly changed

like four episodes later, but Whatever we are

we are the show that we are so Yeah, I'm Definitely

looking more forward to Grand Condon this year

because mostly because we know what to expect

and we can be a little better prepared um i'll

have some money in my pocket i will too this

year because i know what they're going to have

um whereas last year i was like um yeah i don't

even have any money for food which luckily because

we were uh there you know uh because we had a

table we got the pop and the the chips and stuff

yep yep yep yep i remember that now which was

very helpful, but it would have been nice to

have had money to actually get food. I think

I did pack a lunch, but I think I'd rather get

hot food. Yeah. But yeah, and I think it's being

held somewhere different this year. Yes, it's

at the, I want to say it's the Crowne Plaza.

That sounds about right. I know that my wife

and I have a hotel at the convention center.

or wherever it's being how we have a hotel room

so we're excited about that she's excited about

that because last year last year was miserable

for us um and i last year the convention was

the same time as the it's basically an art crawl

in downtown grand rapids so every hotel that

was like worth a damn was already booked or full

or way too expensive for that weekend and so

we got one hotel that we thought was going to

be okay and it was it was awful like the the

bed basically it mounted to the bed sucked because

let's face it when you go out for the convention

you're only in the hotel room to really sleep

uh pretty much granted the first night we went

out we go friday saturday sunday and that that

weekend we went out thursday friday saturday

sunday and i believe we were supposed to say

sunday night I remember staying up late on Thursday

into the a the wee morning of Friday to pre -order

my 5s And then I went to bed And then we had

like all day Friday to goof around the convention

started officially on Saturday. So we were there

for that The third we stayed Saturday night in

the hotel room But on Sunday after the convention

was over my wife and I were just like, you know

what? Screw it. Let's just forfeit Sunday night.

Let's just go home now. Like it was it was that

bad Wow, and so this year as soon as they found

out where it was and it was in the hotel And

it was in a hotel my wife and I like booked it

and we paid for it like up front So like we didn't

have we don't have to worry about coming up It's

not like we booked a hotel room and then we have

to worry about paying for it We already paid

for the hotel room And it's at the hotel so I

don't have to drive like all the way across town

to get there She can come down to the convention

floor and hang out she can go back to the hotel

room play games We can go back to the hotel room

and you know record a podcast Stuff like that

So I'm I'm really looking forward to the to the

convention this year is just better prepared

So I'm actually debating on whether or not I

don't even think we have time to do it But I

was debating on whether or not to make new shirts

this year I don't think there's enough time.

Yeah, I don't think there is either that and

I couldn't really come up with like a design

I want in my head so But you know, those shirts

are nice. My shirt still looks good. I'm definitely

gonna be bringing it out there So yeah mine still

looks nice and I'll be bringing it out there

as well I may give away my altered geek hat.

No way. Yeah, I might. For one of two reasons.

One, to just kind of promo it off kind of thing.

And two, I've changed the logo. But it's still

the same name and website address on it. Yeah,

we really look clueless in that picture dinner.

Yeah, it's Yep. Yeah, okay Yep, we were there

and I got my binder of GCR and crap and Which

I'll have again I actually found it a couple

days ago But uh, but yeah, that's it's I was

looking at it I'm like, yeah some of those shows

don't even exist right now and some of those

arts are old and It just didn't look very nice

so I'm redoing it and printing it again But it'll

be fun Hopefully we get to maybe talk to some

people and network a little bit more I kind of

dropped a ball on it a little bit last year because

I wasn't Quite sure what the hell we were doing

right So I contacted a few people who never got

back to me and then I Kind of dropped the ball

on some of the other ones that I could have contacted

and didn't Shake on you Yep, so I'll try and

do better this year now that I'm more focused

Anyhow So have you been paying attention to any

of the random superhero crap that's kind of blown

around I saw the Supergirl business like two

hours ago. I kind of wish like obviously the

the Supergirl coming to TV. It's happening. It's

they're just shopping around in networks. I was

kind of hoping that it would have been like a

CW show because that would have been like the

next thing to spin out of like Flash or Arrow.

But all the news is saying that they're trying

to hit a bigger. network in CW. So we'll see.

We'll see how it goes. That kind of makes me

sad that they're trying to get a bigger network

than CW. But I think they should keep all the

superhero stuff on CW. I agree. Within reason,

I mean, I mean, I I don't know. I think. I want

them to keep it there because then you can do

the cross play between the series and If they're

not all in one spot then you can't do that and

I'm a big fan of continuity and some people don't

care for continuity or don't think it adds anything

to anything but I I like it. I like seeing the

connections between arrow and flash and stuff

like that I'm kind of bummed that Gotham's not

gonna have any kind of connection to the series

But I mean I'm sure just like any other comic

book thing I'll check out like Supergirl and

Just to see how good or bad it is and stuff like

that. So that That was probably the big one unless

you're also referring to Netflix and having Gotham

before it's even aired Yeah, I mean I was kind

of referring to both anyway, but the the Supergirl

I'm kind of interested and I just wonder where

it's gonna go It's kind of hit or miss whether

it'll survive on any of the other networks see,

you know NBC has tried numerous things and they

flop and then Fox usually canceled NBC hasn't

really I mean NBC did a pilot for Wonder Woman

and never put it on the air I don't know if that

counts as a flop They had heroes But heroes went

for four seasons and is actually coming back

For a special so that's not that's not horrible,

you know No, so it does give me a little hope

It's interesting. It'll be interesting to see

where it ends up. I I don't know Well, I guess

I don't see it going to NBC. But then again constant

Constantine is also like a DC Thing and that's

that's on there. So well, maybe they'll send

it there I don't I don't know but I'm kind of

with you. I wish it was on the same network so

they could kind of cross the continuity lines

because Think with arrow and flash. I think they're

doing it right whereas like That's where agents

the shield is kind of missing the mark Well,

that's because they're trying to type too much.

I don't know. They're trying to create this universe

and make it make it more Than just the the Avengers

and the films, but it's still kind of See the

thing with thing with Avengers and we said this

in the last show and we've said this many times

before with Agents of shield is that it it's

only as good as the movies are Like Agents of

S .H .I .E .L .D. didn't get good until Captain

America Winter Soldier. And in that regard, like

I said, it's only as good as the movies are,

and it's only as strong as they can make those

tie -ins. The Thor tie -in was really weak. The

premise for the show coming out of Avengers was

awesome. I thought it was a great idea, but it

wasn't. I never felt like it really delivered

on that premise. But then after the events of

Winter Soldier, that's when the show started

delivering on what it could be whereas CW with

their Warner Brothers franchises, they're not

beholden to the movies. I mean people want to

see them cross over with the movies but for right

now those two universes are completely separate

from each other and Which I thinks actually more

healthy for the the TV show. Yep, they can they

can do what they want. But at the same time you're

never gonna see You're never gonna see the characters

you want to see so they have to make the characters

they have to pick and choose the characters that

you do see To make them interesting I think that's

that's kind of where it's gonna be kind of where

I think that's where flash is gonna get interesting

because one he does have the superpowers so they

can introduce other people with superpowers and

It's gonna be interesting to see how they get

around like the hokey your names of the flash

villains or even how much they actually like

acknowledge the hokey names for the flash villains

like i'm i'm okay with what the flash villains

do i think there's ways that you can put spins

on them so they're not like laughable but the

names for like captain cold and was it like captain

boomerang like those like those names are just

too funny for me um but we've seen from the pilot

that they have ways of getting around that I

mean they they do like the subtle nod thing because

they have the one tech guy that likes to make

up the funny names Yeah, so that's i'm pretty

sure that's where they're gonna get their tongue

-in -cheek humor, but well, I think that's kind

of almost how like the the new Nickelodeon Ninja

Turtles comes up with their villains like they

have Michelangelo kind of tongue -in -cheek jokingly

come up with a weird name Yep, and then it just

sticks for the rest of the uh series. Yep It

works. I mean, it's it's inventive. I mean, it's

not I'm not saying that it's it makes them great

but it's it's at least kind of pokes fun at itself

and It's better than the villain showing up and

pronouncing himself as Captain Cold Yeah, if

he says I am Captain Cold or you know, it's just

I'm gonna laugh you right off the screen Whereas

the techie guy nerdy little techie guy is coming

up with fun names because they want code names

for everything and he calls the guy Captain Cold

Yeah, that becomes quirky and funny. Yeah, like

oh the flash fights Captain cold. Yep It's almost

like something like J Jonah Jameson and spider

-man would come up with and the articles. Yep

I Do find it interesting though that in the the

CW universe that they they have three prison

break actors Involved now, I'm not familiar with

prison break Okay, it's a Fox TV show. Oh, I

know what it is and what the concept of it was.

I never watched an episode. It is very well written.

Okay. It's four seasons long and it had a movie

afterward. When they're in the jail though, that's

when it's the strongest. When they're out of

the jail, because obviously they can't stay in

there for more than a season really. It it kind

of loses a little bit of it's What draws you

to it But then it kind of resets to a couple

times So it's it's it's very interesting and

the way that they're able to keep the attention

to detail in that show It was kind of mind -boggling

both my wife and I watched that on Netflix When

it was on there What's that he played Dracula

and in blade three? Yep. Yep. That's that's where

I knew him from first And that that Wentworth

Miller He was in the Resident Evil 4 Okay Playing

one of the actual characters from the video game

Yep And he's gonna be back for the sixth Resident

Evil as well But he was he was part of what made

that whole prison break show though Like that

that actor he he was great in that show But it

I find it funny that because these two actors

the Dominic Purcell the one that played Dracula

and blade He he was the brother of the other

guy and prison break But he's he's playing What

is it heatwave? Okay Flash and the other guy

from Prison Break, the lead of it, he's playing

Captain Cold. And then of course they have the

guy that played T -Bag in there that was also

in Breakout Kings for an episode since it was

the same writers as Prison Break, although it

was much weaker series. That guy is the one that

plays the Clock King. Arrow yeah, I like I like

the clocking in Arrow and He's gonna be in flash

as well. So that's that's the third prison break

actor. Oh I'm sorry. There's four The one there

was a mob boss that was in prison break that

he's playing count vertigo. I'm bummed that it's

not the other guy I really like that other actor

those I do too. I Thought that count vertigo

was that other guy. That's yeah. Well, I mean

In the comics anyway, one of the articles says

the new count vertigo So maybe he takes the title.

I don't know We'll see what happens. I have faith

in the cast. I like the casting for both arrow

and and flash so I I don't I just see these shows

getting better before they get you know worse

But I will say The one character I have trouble

buying is the head scientist at the at the particle

accelerator. Like the billionaire guy. Tom Cavanaugh.

Yeah, I have trouble buying him because he was

JD's brother on scrubs. And he will always be

that guy to me. Kind of like Ryan Reynolds to

TF2 and Blanchard for Dan Wilder. OK, here's

the thing. I'm sure I will be able to buy Tom

Cavanaugh as, you know, the guy in Flash. I mean,

I see him that way, but I can't help but chuckle.

And it's not like I hate the guy. I don't hate

the guy. I don't hate the character in Scrubs.

I think he's a great character in Scrubs. I'm

just saying, like, Won't there some things with

I just won't I'll chuckle a little bit inside

It's automatic association. Yeah, it's an automatic

association. It's I think if I remember correctly,

you know Mike writes off anything with Ryan Reynolds

because of You know his character type Whereas

I don't really do I don't really do that I you

know I've seen Ryan Reynolds go from one end

of the spectrum to the other I mean he's got

you know, he's got his van wilder, but he also

did Amityville horror and safe and smoking aces

Yeah, he's done a lot of good film and buried.

I really liked buried I only didn't like it because

it was trapped in a box the entire movie, but

you know what I think There with the storytelling

was good. Yeah, I feel like there's very few

people that could pull that off, you know, like

and not have it completely fall apart on them.

And I would not have expected Ryan Reynolds to

be one of those guys. And I like Ryan Reynolds

as an actor, but he did it. But yeah, I will

agree that, you know, the scale for Ryan Reynolds'

characters are heavily tipped in the favor of,

you know, the Ryan, the Van Wilder character.

But I also think that he's done, he's shown a

range of his acting. So... I'm not, I won't immediately

dismiss the guy because, you know, how he was

in Van Wilder and in Two Guys and a Girl on the

Pizza Place. Although I like both of those characters.

But that was, you know, off the rails a little

bit. But yeah, I usually I won't write anybody

off. I'll just be like, haha, you were you were

JD's brother. Are you familiar with the actor

that? is going to be playing Ra's al Ghul in

Arrow. I saw the headline, did not bother to

click on it. I don't see the link here in your

show notes. Is it in it? I think it's in there.

These will all be on the website too, by the

way. Maybe I didn't put it on there. It says

Matt Nabel cast as Ra's al Ghul. Oh, they couldn't

get Liam Neeson? Apparently they didn't try.

I'm guessing they had this guy cast. I don't

know what he's from. I'm trying to find the link.

Oh, he's from Riddick? Okay, I'm familiar with

Riddick. He played Voss Johns in the 2013 film

Riddick? He's an Australian actor. I think I

know who we're talking about I would just have

to see a picture of it to actually confirm and

I'm having trouble finding an article I was looking

on slash film, but if he's who I think he is

That that could totally work and I will click

on your link here I'm kind of curious To see

how that plays out I I'm not I Liked Liam Neeson's

take on it And I think it's funny enough that

he was willing to come to TV to play it This

guy's like scary enough doesn't look scary No,

like he doesn't William Neeson can kind of pull

off the the kind of freaky I Don't know. I mean,

I guess I guess okay. It's not that he Doesn't

look scary. I did I I miss out that he doesn't

look old enough like there's in my mind, there's

a an age to Ra's al Ghul and You almost have

to have something in your late 50s in sophistication

like I don't need to put up with you like You

know like he's he's he's evil because you see

him and you know that he doesn't have the time

to deal with you and He has the means to not

deal with you if he so chooses i don't get that

from this guy i get i get from this guy i see

a guy that's willing to get in there and throw

down i don't see i see a guy that's like arrows

equal i don't see someone that could have been

his mentor yeah i definitely see the same thing

i don't but i'm looking at this you know cast

photo not him in in in the show so it could be

we could see something completely different once

he gets on screen because you know as we've talked

many times before Now taking things out of context

is not a good idea No, so and and this is definitely

like way out of context because this is just

a headshot generic. Yeah That's that's like him

at his nicest. Yeah So yeah, there's that and

then I Kind of saw this coming about the rock

getting cast as black Adam That makes me sad

I Wanted him to play Shazam I Was almost guessing

that he might play Shazam, but I was almost I

was almost positive He's gonna be black Adam.

I just I felt like he had he has that presence.

He has the charisma to To play that like cuz

he I feel like he can Really what you're looking

at with Shazam is kind of like a Freaky Friday

situation right Where you have basically you

have the kid in the like in the adult body and

I feel like the rock could have played that Like

really well Mm -hmm. So I'm not it's like I'm

not going to see this movie I just wish it would

have been the other way around now. It's not

gonna be in continuity either It's out. It's

not connected to the other stuff. No, they said

it's gonna be outside of the rest of the DC universe

Which I think is kind of a mistake Yeah, okay.

All right if you get The rock to play black Adam,

who do you get to play Shazam because there are

very few people that are as big as the rock Like

How do you that's why this seems so odd to me

because like I you you would think the hero would

be the Bigger character, you know, I'm saying

like you would want him to be anyway. You'd want

him to look like the bigger tougher guy Obviously

that when superpowers are involved. You don't

have to be the biggest guy on the block as is

shown by like man of steel like Henry Cavill.

Yes. He's he's a big guy, but he's not like Comic

book Superman big he's just big because Superman

is he's just strong like Superman is he doesn't

have to be big muscle bound just be strong. That's

a superpower I I Feel like you know, that's how

you want your hero to be and it's like, okay

you're so you're gonna get the biggest guy possible

and you're gonna make him the bad guy so are

you just gonna cast someone to play Shazam and

have him be like the Henry Cavill to Dwayne's

The Rock where the villain is super huge and

and and ripped and then you've got another guy

who's just kind of in shape but really powerful

like that's that's not what i wanted to see it

it'll be interesting though yeah i mean i'll

still watch it i and i like seeing the rock be

funny Oh, yeah, because I feel like he's he is

that He is to me. He is that kid And I just I

don't know I think I really think he could have

done a much better job as his Shazam But whatever

I'm not a casting agent Yeah, none of us are

I do find it interesting on side note, kind of

still superhero -ish related, but not really,

that Netflix is buying up the rights to all these

different shows. I mean, we already mentioned

Gotham, but Blacklist? Well, Blacklist, though,

has done it in the bag. That's more their style,

to nab a season. Like get a season to TV on their

on their service right before season two starts

people can Stream it and get caught up. That's

been kind of their MO This is the first time

I can think of that they grab something before

it even came out. So I Is this deal like are

they gonna get the episodes as they air or is

this they're gonna get it when it's all over

like all their other stuff I Would assume it'd

be like when they air Because some of the shows

like when heroes was still airing Nope, that's

this is gonna start in 20. I don't know 2015

is next year This will probably be fall 2015

I Bet I bet you'll see Gotham season 1 hit in

September of 2016 Or 2015 just in time for season

2 to start which is their mo. Well, it's that's

that's what they do. I could see that so but

if they go the other route and have it like they

do with or did with uh heroes where as new episodes

would appear they'd appear on the thing I I agree

but the joke going off of the entertainment weekly

right in the first paragraph it says will be

available on the streaming service beginning

in 2015 so that that means to me just it's in

their it's in their mo it's in their it's in

their same wheelhouse but uh that's actually

a really low number for that For how much they

paid for it though at the one point seven five

million Yeah, I know that's kind of strange they

paid but didn't they pay like one or two million

an episode for blacklist It was two million an

episode. So yeah, that's That's interesting.

I don't know that like two million dollars is

enough to keep something on the air Like that's

not that's not finish out your commitment. So

we have an entire season of TV to put on our

streaming service That's not what that is which

goes to a comment that someone made Yeah, I just

I'm not quite sure how that's Such a deal like

the blacklist. I completely understand that's

I think they're paying them pretty well for the

the episodes on that but We shall see as far

as Gotham's concerned I don't know what I'm gonna

do about TV this fall I i've got stuff sitting

on my computer that i haven't even finished from

like i need to get on that maybe maybe this saturday

i'll just sit down and force myself to watch

all of it so i can clear my slate to get ready

for this fall now when you finish shows um uh

like seasons of it do you keep the last episode

um So you have something to reference when the

new season starts up? No, I will usually they

will do a pretty good job Especially if it's

something I care about I remember what happens

But usually that previously on that'll get me

caught up enough to where I'll know what's going

on or at some point Be maybe with my wife. I'll

end up rewatching the previous season and Then

you know rewatch what I've seen of season two

because that's what happened with arrow I got

her to watch Arrow season one halfway through

Arrow season two. So I was able to re -watch

all of Arrow and then the first half of season

two and then we watched the last half of season

two together. And that's when I realized how

interconnected that show actually was with stuff

that happened in the first season. But no, I

don't do that. I actually will delete shows off

my computer as I watch them so I know what I

have left to. Watch and man, I got a lot of stuff

to get. Also, my torrent catcher broke for like

two weeks, so I need to figure out what I missed.

I usually we watch them and then we delete them.

And but I this previous season when all the shows

ended, I kept the very last episode of every

season or every show that we watch. Only because

well the ones that didn't get cancelled anyway,

but Only because my wife has a hard time Deciphering

what the hell happened between seasons She goes

blank slate when fall comes around Doesn't remember

a damn thing. So I have to I spend the first

10 minutes of the the new episode or prior to

the new episode explaining everything that's

happened to that point and when you get to something

like Supernatural and It's had as many seasons

as it's had She forgets like half of what went

on throughout those seasons. Oh Okay, and so

I have to like recap per season, you know and

as brief of words as I can come up with Because

I don't want to sit there all night And then

I spent more time on the previous season finale.

So this is a way that I can force her to watch

the show like the week before the air. So she

knows what the hell's going on and I don't have

to sit there and go, oh, remember this? Oh, I

don't remember this. Right. And then like like

Agents of S .H .I .E .L .D., I really don't need

the season finale. but I kept it anyway because

I want to at least feel some kind of, I don't

know, just cohesive element even though they'll

probably jump forward a little bit in time anyway

on most of these shows. So I kept those and then

same thing with Arrow, I've kept that too in

anticipation. So I do know that Supernatural

is going to have a pre Season premiere episode

the week before it airs with like a two -hour

special Kind of bringing everybody up to date

from season one to now, okay? So it's gonna be

like an overall kind of all -encompassing full

-on That's another thing that makes me think

that this is the last season Cuz they're besides

What's that? Is they're putting a pretty bow

on it? Yeah, they're kind of wrapping it up as

best they can. And then for the events that happened

in the season finale and what they tried to do

the previous season finale, I'm pretty sure I

got this season finale pegged. Hmm. Or serious

finale, I should say, because that's what I think

is going to happen. I will eat crow if it goes

past season 10, but I'm pretty sure it's done.

I don't know. I'm pretty sure. I guess we'll

find out. Yeah, I'm sure we will. And then just

some other kind of goofy thing I saw that was

floating around. It was like a commercial for

Kahlua. It had Jeff Bridges playing the Big Lebowski.

I don't think I've seen that. He was playing

the dude. It was being shaped like it was you

know, it's a commercial. I haven't seen it You

haven't nope. I yep. Yeah, I don't catch come

Well, the only reason it it came on my radar

is for one. I saw the big Lebowski like Winner

of 2013 for the first time Okay Because a classmate

let me borrow it the file more or less and So

I watched it and I thought it was funny and then

I saw this kind of pop up on Twitter somewhere

and They have him sitting in a bowling alley

or not a bowling in a bar and He's drinking and

he has a suitcase which is supposedly supposed

to have these You know the clue or whatever.

I don't know something. He's explaining the whole

thing to the bartender and It's showing like

a younger version of him finding this suitcase

and being chased and then you know there's this

astronaut that falls and it was it was just it

was retarded but it was funny i'll have to check

it out it's it's yeah i got the the link in there

but uh so yeah there's that um i don't think

i don't have too much to really share I talked

to my wife into buying a Beast Wars figure. Transformers

is doing their 30th anniversary, 30 years of

Transformers this year. So they're coming out

with all these new molds of various figures throughout

all the different generations. Mostly they're

like Armada or Beast Wars or Transformers Prime

or Animated. Just various ones like that. Beast

Wars happens to have three figures and Beast

Machines has one. Beast Machines has like a show

accurate tankor for the first time. Okay. That's

like a mega size which I think it's called Voyager

now but I still refer to their original sizes.

And I've physically seen that one in the store

and that's been tempting for me, but I don't

care enough to get it Whereas they have like

a Rhinox figure which I have not or I think I've

seen it store once The only thing is is he's

kind of top -heavy the knees suck, but it's completely

show accurate Unlike the original toy they did

that with waspinator as well, which that's ungodly

hard to find I've never seen that in the store

and it goes for like 45 bucks online Hmm I managed

to pick up the rat trap And they all come with

comics that are done exclusively by IDW and They,

this one's completely show accurate. It transforms

to the mouse, looks just like the mouse with

the kind of like complete detail on the toes

and everything, complete detail on the robot

mode to the point that even the wrists open up

or the forearms open up and there's like his

little bombs. Okay. So it's definitely completely

show accurate. Like I said, it comes with the

comic and everything else and his two -piece

gun that he can piece together. Anyhow, I was

quite impressed with it so I managed to talk

my wife into spending 12 bucks on it to which

she was not very happy with me. She's like, I'm

not even getting the kid a toy. Do you want a

toy? I'm telling you, it's only because it's

Beast Wars that I'm jumping at this. Because

like I don't care one iota for any other transformer

toy, but if it's Beast Wars. I'm all over that

right I'll show it next time we do video all

right. Oh my headphones. I had them for a week

now. I really like them a lot Made a big difference

the movie theater watch our movies in the booth

Our TV shows in the in the projection booth on

Saturday Battery in them lasted all day because

I don't know how anyone that remembers You know

I said that has the the built -in amp in it Which

a lot of people might write that off as being

like a bass boost feature, but it's not that

it's it's something different It's it's really

really nice Really impressed with them. I think

the one of the reasons it lasted as long as it

did is because like I said they Automatically

turns off If the headphones come together, like

when you take them off your head and they come

together, excuse me, they automatically turn

off. So even if you forget to turn them off,

they turn themselves off. They died on me on

Monday when I was at the theater. They lasted

about another three hours on my Monday shift,

but I had not charged them at all since like

Friday night when I went to bed. I And I'll also

I wore them almost all day. I wore them from

like 9 a .m to About 11 and that's when I started

getting that You know like when you wear headphones

for too long They they might not be like super

tight on your head, but it feels like they're

really tight on your head Yeah, it feels like

it's squishing your ears and your skull. Yeah,

but your ears aren't like these are over your

ears So obviously they're not squishing my ears

in any way, but yeah, that's how it feels Didn't

like yeah, I from like I wasn't like 9 to 11

taking them off for maybe a Minute here and there

when I had to go start a movie But other than

that, I was really impressed look they it was

pretty good right up until 11 o 'clock and I

took them off for about 45 minutes and then I

went to start some movies and Then when I put

them back on I kept them on for like another

two and a half hours and they were perfect Really

like the nice thing about them though is even

though that there is a powered amp in them They

work even when the battery dies Oh, that's cool.

So you can like right now doing this i'm using

them, but I have the amp turned off So they work

just like a regular pair of headphones right

now So it's it they're they're really nice headphones

they're totally I mean, I don't know if they're

worth the money that I paid for them But I really

like them. So that makes it worth it to me So

next week, we'll have the new iPhone to talk

about Are you getting that? Well, here's what

I I don't want to say no because knowing myself

I probably will But this is what I've told my

this is what I've told myself and this is what

I've told my wife the the rumor is right There's

gonna be a new iPhone announced next next Tuesday,

which I definitely think there will be a new

iPhone announced next Tuesday The other rumor

is that there will be some kind of watch to go

along with this because everyone's making Watches

now Smartwatches I've told my wife that if there

is a smartwatch from Apple, I will probably buy

the smartwatch over the phone Because I feel

like the smartwatch with my 5s will give me The

features I want out of the iPhone 6 Because the

rumored feature the rumored feature with the

iPhone 6 right now is that it will have near

-field? Communications for mobile payments, you

know tap your phone to make your pay your bills,

whatever And that interests me but there's also

a rumor that the watch may also have that in

there So you don't have to take your phone out

of your pocket to make your purchase. You can

tap your watch against a payment thing So at

the moment the what I've told myself what I've

told my wife is that if there's a watch I will

just buy the watch and I will wait another year

to buy a phone But if I'm being completely honest

with myself and the listeners and even my wife

knows this I'm probably gonna end up with a new

phone anyways So I'll have a better idea next

Tuesday because what usually happens is I can

tell myself all this stuff But then Apple's gonna

get up on stage Something they're gonna say something

or show me something and be like shit Dang it.

I thought it was out and you got me back So we'll

see how it goes I'll have a better idea You know

next next week when we record what I'm gonna

end up doing because I'll have had two days to

watch all the keynotes and everything The exciting

thing for me though is this time they're doing

a live stream of the keynote Okay, so they they've

done a couple of times in the past But they don't

usually do that usually there's journalists there

that are live blogging the thing like tech crunch

or and gadget and you can follow along with the

pictures that they take and What they're doing

This week. I actually September 9th. I actually

happened to take that day off work because destiny

for the ps4 comes out that day mm -hmm and my

plan was to you know play Destiny on September

9th while watching someone do a live blog of

the event while I'm playing my games. Well, now

they're doing a live stream, so I won't have

to watch. I'll be able to listen to them tell

me about it as it's happening. I won't have to

wait for somebody else to update their page to

tell me about the new stuff, which will just

make it a lot nicer for me to do the multitasking

of watching an event and playing my video games.

And then I'm sure I'm sure I'll end up watching

the keynote again once it's done and it goes

up on their website So I'll be like I want to

see that that thing again We'll see that But

honestly if I'm being I'm not really I'm more

excited about the phone than I am about iOS 8

because I've been using iOS 8 since June My phone

because I am like a fool and I bought a developer's

kit just so I could have the new operating system

so Yeah, if you ever want to use my tools you're

more than welcome to I've never touched I've

never touched them So So I think We can get to

the what little bit of feedback we got last week

All right, then close it out sounds good So we

had Brian Rivera Rivera say Did you see that

Netflix has already bought the rights to Gotham,

which we kind of mentioned? It says, do you think

guys or do you guys think doing stuff like this

will allow networks like Fox to hold onto shows

even if the ratings are low because they know

Netflix will pay them and promote their show

after the season is over? This goes back to what

we just talked about a second ago when we were

talking about how much Fox actually paid for

Gotham, which if it was $2 million for the entire

season, that's not going to keep anything afloat.

But if it was like the two million dollars an

episode like they did for blacklist that would

keep a season afloat But as it is they might

have I mean obviously they've probably seen the

pilot maybe the first few episodes But essentially

they bought that that show sight unseen At the

end of the day if it was two million if it was

two million dollars for all 22 24 episodes That's

not going to keep the show on the air, even if

it is bad ratings. It might give Netflix the

option to pick it up as their own thing if it

doesn't do well. But. No, I don't I don't see

that being a way to save. Broadcast television,

I don't think Netflix is in the business of saving

broadcast television. They're just really good

at. picking shows that they want. Yeah, I think

they're in the business of, one, producing good

shows on their own, but I think they're in the

business of grabbing the shows that people want

to make that were built on the back of other

networks' money, if you will. That being said,

real quick side note, my wife and I watched BoJack

Horseman on Netflix. It is a Will Arnett animated

cartoon. Will Arnett voices the title character

Bojack Horseman who is literally an anthropomorphic

horse Think Ryan from Family Guy only he's a

horse That wears clothes. So ever it's it's set

in Hollywood. He's a he's a washed -up TV star

from the early 90s It's set now and it's how

he's dealing with his life. There are like some

characters are animals and some characters are

humans but they don't seem to acknowledge that

one is the other, like they just treat people

like normal, which is great. On some level, that

is actually really great that that is how that

show is portrayed. It's like, it doesn't matter

what you are, it just matters who you are. It

starts out... Kind of jokey funny snide comment

remarks about you know Political humor potshots

at society stuff like that kind of like family

guy ask maybe not as like stupid But man right

around the halfway point in that series it takes

a really dark twist and gets real real fast It

like hooked my wife and I on the humor of like

the first six episodes and that it just like

Episode six or seven. It's only 12 episodes long

for the first season But it got real dark real

fast and after each episode after seized episode

six My wife just kept going man. I got really

dark I was like, yeah did and then the next episode

was even darker and darker and darker and it's

just it's It was really it was not what I thought

was gonna be at all and it was really I actually

really enjoyed it I highly recommend if you have

a Netflix subscription at least give it a try

so But no, I don't see the Netflix model Netflix

paying for something being a way for broadcast

television to save their shows I Agree Film for

fun says I believe the entire Michael Bay directing

Power Rangers was started as a joke He says well

at least I hope it was a joke and that makes

us all Yeah You can't you can't deny it would

be funny watching the Megazords blowing shit

up kind of like I would totally watch that I'm

not gonna lie I would totally watch a Michael

Bay Power Rangers He would at least make the

villains. You know the the big creepy monsters

look believable Yeah Instead of looking like

a dude in a suit. Can you imagine? Just imagine

for a moment given the detail that was put into

the Transformers right that the detail that everyone

hates Well, I like that. I like the detail I

hate that they change the aesthetics of some

of the robots granted. That's just nostalgia

talking, right? but Although the you imagine

overall imagery was a hell of a lot better than

the story. Could you imagine? If the transformers

look the way they did the cartoons in a live

-action movie Yeah, a lot of what that would

look very believable that would look ridiculous

to me Anyways, I'm just sitting here in my brain

my wildly imaginative brain I'm just imagining

what a Megazord would look like done by Michael

Bay like That just in my in my brain. That is

a frickin awesome. I want to see that and I never

will get to see that That would be interesting

to kind of try and figure out Who knows we'll

never see it then again, you never know Yeah,

and he continues saying also people were stating

Godzilla had 9 -11 imagery I hear that with Man

of Steel and Star Trek but not for Godzilla.

Okay Now, I didn't want to comment on this in

there because, well, I would rather try and invoice

my my thought here. And I can be wrong here.

OK, I. I guess I need to be. Educated. As to

what is considered 9 -11 imagery and what is

not, because in my mind, when people are looking

at. Man of Steel, and they're saying there's

9 -11 imagery, and they're looking at Star Trek

Into Darkness and saying that there's 9 -11 imagery.

All I'm seeing that they're pointing their fingers

to are buildings falling down and civilians being

in harm's way. Maybe that's not what people are

talking about. Maybe I don't know what people

are talking about, because no one's explained

it to me. That term, 9 -11 imagery, just showed

up one summer for me. And it had to do with.

Movies where buildings were falling down in heavily

populated areas. Now. Obviously, yes, on one

hand, that is definitely what happened on 9 11.

A giant ass tower fell in a populated area. But.

And it's more complicated than that. There were

terrorists in two planes, but. Anyways. I'm not

the most sensitive person when it comes to 9

-11, so you have to forgive me or hate me. It

doesn't really matter to me. So forgive me when

Man of Steel and Into Darkness show buildings

blowing up and falling down in populated civilian

areas being called 9 -11 imagery, but You know

just because it's a monster knocking over buildings

in a heavily populated area You know with civilians

I Don't see I don't I guess I don't see the difference

I don't see how one could be called 9 -eleven

imagery and the other one can't so Maybe I just

need to be educated on it, and if the listeners

can do that in the nicest way possible Because

I honestly don't I I honestly can't I don't see

the difference between a Building falling down

for one reason and a building falling down for

another reason in a populated area. Do you understand

the difference? Because I don't. I don't really.

I mean, I don't see how you could differentiate.

I just see buildings falling over and being imploded

and destroyed. I mean, is it one thing to see,

like, humans doing the damage? Because if it's

humans doing the damage, then Man of Steel doesn't

even count because they weren't humans. They

were aliens. And aliens would put them in the

same league as, like, Godzilla or Pacific Rim.

But even Pacific Rim, I don't think had 9 -11

imagery, but I would also, given the criteria

that I just laid out for what I consider to be

9 -11 imagery, sure, Pacific Rim would go in

that category. But when I watch Pacific Rim,

I don't see that. I can see how people would

maybe have a flashback or post -traumatic stress

symptoms from watching Man of Steel. I think

what happened is that it... We got to see what

a real building looked like falling down like

how often in your life Do you actually get to

see like a building falling down? I've seen two

buildings Like here in Flint come down. I've

watched the auto world come down, which wasn't

a skyscraper and I watched the Genesee Tower

come down Yeah, I've seen the Genesee Tower come

down like but those are like controlled right?

That's that's a cool. Yeah, it's a controlled

demolition But I think what what it was is that

the two towers just like this eye -opening thing

where it's like all of a sudden We know what

a building looks like when it's falling down

from like every conceivable angle. And so I can

see how if they were to show that same angle

in a movie that that could present some kind

of problem. But the thing is, when I see that

in a movie, I don't automatically jump to like

9 11. That's not. I just don't do I don't acknowledge

9 11 in that way. Never have I've always taken

that to be like the biggest That was like one

of my biggest pet peeves from 9 -eleven happened

is when they were went through and like removed

it from movies and television shows and I Know

we're getting kind of I'm like getting kind of

deep here or whatever But like that's just the

way I've always felt about it So I I don't make

those connections the way that other people do

like I was able to say I watched into darkness

without seeing I mean I saw like the the political

side of it the the terrorism side and stuff like

that Like the social the social side of it, but

I never saw like the 9 -elevenness of it And

you can see how it can be inferred, but I feel

like that's just people Putting you know inferring

their own things on like I can watch a movie

About buildings falling down without it being

linked to 9 -eleven in any way unless it's a

movie about 9 -eleven But that's just me and

I'm I'm a cynical, cold -hearted son of a bitch.

I just I don't see anything like even in Star

Trek. I mean, I've not seen Godzilla yet. I eventually

will. I just that's not on my my radar at the

moment. Man of Steel. I just saw a bunch of aliens

blowing the crap out of stuff. Star Trek. I saw

a terrible Star Trek film. See, the thing the

thing about Man of Steel and the reason I don't

really equate it with like 9 -11 is because It

was what I wanted to see Superman do. Like that's

an alien invasion. It was. There's a Justice

League where he fights Shazam in that Lex Corps.

Like obviously that episode was a mock up city.

It was unpopulated, but they were still like

destroying those buildings when they were fighting.

And that's like what I expect. A fight with Superman.

or with superpower beings to be. And Zack Snyder

put that on screen. You know, like I don't. I

guess I don't understand. For me, it's all about

the distinction. I don't understand where you

can draw the line. I don't understand how it

can be OK to do in a cartoon because Justice

League Unlimited wrapped up after 9 -11, right?

Yeah. And the whole fight with like Darkseid

in Metropolis. Like. That had buildings falling

down and glass shattering and there were civilians

all over the place like that fight was in downtown

metropolis I I but no one called out a cartoon

for being 9 -eleven imagery. I Mean, I don't

I guess I just don't know where the line is.

Maybe I don't understand the exact definition

I haven't bothered to Google it because I don't

I just don't get it and maybe that's ignorance

on my part but Yeah, that's all I've got I'm

not gonna say anymore about that Yeah And our

final comment was by Haley Bailey My favorite

comic con is still San Diego. Yes, there has

been a Hollywood explosion in the last 10 to

15 years And yes, it can get annoying at times

even with that. There is nothing like the San

Diego experience It is a crazy atmosphere unlike

anything else something you have to be at to

truly understand I can totally understand where

she's coming from because I think the closest

thing we would have to Comic -Con here would

be the RenFest. I feel like that's probably the

closest thing because you go there and there's

a whole atmosphere, everyone's on the same page.

It's this whole thing and I've heard that. You

know, all of like downtown San Diego gets in

on the whole thing like like PetSmart in San

Diego has like zombie dog contests and stuff

like that while Comic Con is going on. It becomes

a whole event for like downtown San Diego. So

I totally get that. My wife and I have been talking

about going to Comic -Con for the last couple

years or PAX or Comic -Con New York Just like

one of them just to go like once. We're kind

of leaning towards PAX because it's more video

game focused But also to go along with this the

whole Comic -Con thing there was that article

earlier this week I don't know if it was a hoax

or not, but Comic -Con thinks it's outgrown the

San Diego Convention Center And it might be moving

because they won't the city won't expand the

convention center to accommodate all the guests

that they have Yeah, I don't I don't really know

what's gonna happen with that now I don't mean

first of all, I don't even know if it's true.

I read an article about it I think I can't remember

where it was from But I know it wasn't the onion.

So yeah, I read a similar article somewhere That

will be interesting to see what happens there

But yeah, I kind of wonder what's gonna happen

but I've I I'm just trying to visit comic cons

in general I I know you know, like Grand Con,

that's one I'm, you know, this will be my second

time going to that. I have been to a TF Con before.

I probably won't be going to that this year,

only because I could get my wife to agree to

it, I'm sure, but I don't see any guests there

that I even want to see, which is part of the

problem. Because to me, if the guests aren't

there that I give a rip about, there's not really

a point in me going. So far, it's all artists

and writers from the comics, which is fine. I

just, I'm not, I'm more there for, I would rather

see the voice actors. And then they have the

old lead for all the Transformers stuff up to

the four films and the... the video games. He

retired in 2013. And then that guy's there. They

got Alan Oppenheimer, the voice of Warpath and

Beachcomber and Transformers. But it also was

Skeletor and He -Man. And then Dan Gelvesand,

which was Bumblebee, which was the 1980s Spider

-Man. But I don't care enough to see them. per

se. If it were a Beast Wars or Transformers Prime,

something like that, I would be more apt to care,

but I don't see anything enticing for me for

that convention this year. So I may eventually

end up going to the Canada one again. But and

I'm thinking about doing the Grand Rapids comic

-con Whether you know whether I go or not, it's

a different story but And there's also that I

don't know if you've ever heard of this it's

done by the people that do Yuma con in Detroit

They're doing the Midwest media expo and April,

okay I'm thinking about going to that. I'm not

familiar with that one. It was new as of this

year, as of 2014. It's in the downtown Detroit

GM Renaissance Center. Oh, OK. The Midwest Media

Expo is basically. Like a pop culture event similar

to comic cons But instead of focusing on primarily,

yeah, even though comic cons for focus on more

than just comics This is like a all media goes

kind of thing like animation television film

Books video games tabletop gaming comics and

internet culture. Okay So like they even invite,

you know, like famous youtubers and stuff and

stuff like that But that's in like the first

weekend of April. I'm thinking about going to

that because I think that would be kind of neat.

But again, there's lots of them out there. I'm

going to try and hit up some, hopefully, another

one at the end of this year and maybe a couple

next year, two or three. Right. Just depends

on what's going on. Yeah, I pretty much only

have time my my life for um grand con I don't

really want to I'm sure if I If things if any

if the needle ever moved for off the cuff I go

for something else, but right now I'm just sticking

with grand con Yeah, I I'm content with grand

con for the most part this year, but I'd like

to branch out next year mm -hmm Just because

I'd like to hit up some other venues and kind

of explore and see what the other ones have to

offer as well. So I think that about rounds it

out unless there's anything else that you'd like

to bring up. Nope, I'm good. I'm actually getting

kind of sleepy here. Yep, I'm going to edit this

and I think I'm going to play Diablo 3 because

after watching you guys off the cuff last week,
