Altered Geek
Podcasting, Superheroes, and Life Changes

About this Episode
You're tuned in to Steve Megatron on Altered
Geek Unlimited Hello and welcome to Altered Geek
episode 164 I'm your host Steve Megatron Phillips
and joining me this week is Do you have your
own mic? As if you didn't know from the cold
open? Yeah. So yeah, what have you been up to
this week? Oh boy, this week, recording a bunch
of stuff, editing a bunch of stuff. I have never
been more of a podcast machine than I have been
these last three or four months, editing multiple
shows, two or three shows a day. I am going on
vacation to see my fiance, Jennifer, out in California.
I'll be leaving December 9th. I'll be coming
back January 6th. So I have got approximately
35 shows that I have to edit out of those 35
podcasts. I have to record, I think, close to
15 of them first. So yeah, my life at this point
is nothing but podcasting and the funny thing
is You know, you know we were talking about suicide
at the beginning of the thing and there's nothing
to do with that really but it has to do with
What eventually might cause someone to commit
suicide which is sometimes it's depression and
I suffer from depression I've kind of always
suffered from depression every now and then it'll
hit me especially now that my mom's gone It just
it hits me in weird ways and whatever else so
I'll get up in the morning I get up anywhere
from 4 a .m. To 7 a .m. It just depends on when
I go to bed the night before I'll get up in the
morning and normally I listen to my local radio
morning show for a little while and then I'll
you know eat breakfast and you know whatever
else and also sit here and edit a podcast or
One morning if I get up and I I feel bright and
sunny and then I see something online that just
depresses me to all hell And it's like, oh, OK,
well, I'm just going to sit here and listen to
my radio show, or the morning radio show, and
play Candy Crush for two hours. Or I'll sit here
and catch up on the shows from the night before,
like on Hulu Plus or wherever else I can find.
You know, the CW app or whatever. What I do like
about this week specific, well, actually, this
is going to be going out on Monday the 14th,
but this past week, election week, what I love
about election week is that I was thinking Flash
was going to be on. It wasn't. And I'm very thankful
because if it was on, it would have had that
giant election bar going through half of the
screen or would have bombed. It would have statistically
bombed because nobody would have been watching
it. What about you? You've got a lot going on.
We're actually going to talk about a few major
life changes for you next episode, but what else
has been going on in the meantime? Yeah, so I've
been doing a lot of stuff, doing stuff with school.
And got Masterpiece Optimus Primal. Yes, which
we will be opening on All Things Transformers
episode 57. Unfortunately. It's 20 minutes away,
come on now. You'll be alright. I can't help
it. And then I got an Altered Geek shirt, which
I didn't think was going to get. Neither one
of these things I thought were going to show
up in the same week, which kind of worked out
for me. They were originally scheduled to be
a week out, so I'm quite happy. And then, yeah,
I've been doing stuff here or there with video
and whatnot, playing Transformers Earth Wars
on my phone. Which they've just decided to come
out with combiners, but you have to have all
three star Constructicons to build a Decepticon
combiner Which I'd have none of And I'm not paying
for them so I did get a three -star Megatron
like last week or the week before by accident
like it I won a three -star Crystal that that
you can summon with the space bridge and he popped
out. I was like sweet Megatron Because I had
a two -star Megatron and he's almost maxed out
for levels It's they're the same They just it
depends on how many times you can upgrade him
and what their power is and their their health
and all that So yeah, I'm like I still have yet
to get a four -star character. I have like an
entire team of three stars now most of my guys
are two -star I have some one -star but I Have
scourge So that's where's that? I can't wait
to lay a beast worse to this stuff later on Because
I will be happy Like no other yeah I don't know
if that's coming, but I really hope so the Transformers
fan within me. So yeah, I've been watching a
lot of TV, doing a lot of watching of YouTube
and stuff like that. Yeah, I found something
really really cool recently this week. Apparently
there's an Easy -Bake Oven for adults. I don't
know if you saw this. What is it? It's an easy
-bake oven for adults. Ah yeah, I saw you posting
that earlier. I'm actually gonna read from the
article here, folks, because I don't want to
get anything wrong. All you have to do is put
a chip dough pod, kind of like a Keurig cake
cup, into the machine, press start, and 10 minutes
later you'll have freshly baked cookies. If you
have your own secret cookie dough recipe and
don't want to use a dough pod, the CHP or the
chip has a manual setting where you can customize
the time and temperature. If you want to relive
the Easy Bake Oven glory days, you can get the
chip on Kickstarter through the month of November
for $99. It will retail for $144 once it hits
market. It looks kind of cool. I mean, because
let's face it, folks. When your sister or your
female cousins had the Easy -Bake Ovens as, you
know, when we were kids, those things, they use
Play -Doh, so they're not really, or something
like Play -Doh, so they're not really actually
cooking something that, that you can, you know,
actually eat. Whereas this, I mean, it's, wow,
it's kind of cool. But you can also put stuff
on your radiator on your dashboard and it'll
cook it just the same I've done that with my
dashboard Not with cookie dough, but yeah, I've
put I've put sandwiches that I fully intended
to eat When it was summertime I'd put them in
my dashboard like Half an hour before I wanted
to eat them and then when I go out to be ready
for school My sandwich would be nice and warm
and ready for me to eat awesome And I didn't
have to do any work The Sun did it all for me
with the the the pleasantness of the glass yeah
this this chip Oven this automated oven reminds
me of the old Ronco ads the set it forget it
rotisserie thing Speaking of that we actually
have to do an infomercial for class Really? Yeah
The the object is and I haven't even started
on it yet We have to do a 60 second or 120 second
or a 180 second. So one two or three minute infomercial
and I Some other people were doing them in class
and I'm like, what am I gonna do this on? And
so I asked Mary, I'm like, so what should I do
it on? She says, I don't know. She says, put
something in a crock pot and then say, forget
it, blah, blah, blah. And I'm like, okay, might
just do that. Like it'll be lame, but whatever.
My mom used to have one of those. They used it
all the time. Cause I was trying to figure out
another thing. Cause like earlier somebody was
watching like a video from like the whitest kids,
you know, or something like that. It was, it's
a YouTube channel or a TV show or something.
I'm not quite sure. But I showed them this other
clip of It's The the most honest Cable company,
okay, where it says You know, you know if you're
waiting for a cable company blah blah blah then
F you, you know, it's like This is What's part
of what you know an oligopoly and this is it's
like a monopoly only legal, you know You know,
so and then it shows, you know, we all we all
compete to have the same price, you know collaborate
and secretive the same price and So that you
you get optimum cock bag levels of pricing and
then it says You know, well oligopoly your balls
we guarantee it, you know just weird stuff like
that, but it was a hilarious video that came
out two years ago. And I showed it to the kids
in class and they just rolled. I'm like, yeah,
this is what the old timer does. They show everybody
this stuff. Because, you know, that's how I roll.
So. So, yeah, that's kind of tied in there. We
got two. I know one of these stories was already
Said that it was going to happen, but for me
until someone that actually heads up the studio
tells me I don't necessarily want to believe
it We got two superhero stories this week number
one Michael that you have well, okay Thank you
for bringing the show down One even though we
kind of already knew this but Kevin whatever
his name is the Marvel buggy whatever the hell
uh... has confirmed that michael keaton a .k
.a. batman will be the vulture in spider -man
homecoming which is very cool uh... and i just
saw on facebook about five or ten minutes ago
that uh... fox is already playing deadpool three
and it's supposedly supposed to have x -force
in it so what do you got uh... basically that
uh... The actor that played Superman in Supergirl
will not be returning to play Cyborg Superman.
Oh, that sucks. So, it's not going to be a clone
of Superman, so there's two possible outcomes,
because in the comics, Cyborg Superman is Hank
Henshaw, who's white in the comics, but that's
a change that doesn't matter. And then obviously
Martian Manhunter replaced Hank. So in the comics
also, the other Cyborg Superman is Zor -El, Supergirl's
father. Yeah. So that leads to mean that Dean
King could be a Cyborg Superman. Hmm. That would
be very awesome. Because it would be very akin
to the... The thing with Jay Garrick. Yep. Reprising
a role to be altered. Yep. Like the show. Yeah.
And I can tell you right now, folks, as probably
one of only five fans that absolutely love the
new adventures, Lois and Clark, the new adventures
of Superman, the fact that Dean Cain got to be
Supergirl's dad in Supergirl, and the fact that
he may or may not be Cyborg Superman now. That's
gonna be awesome. I can't wait for that Should
be interesting or and I doubt this will ever
happen and I know I know I'm kind of poking the
proverbial CW bear here or they could bring in
Tom Welling and finally put him in the tights
So yeah, um cw adds four more episodes to legends
of tomorrow season 2 sweet Says Legends of tomorrow
has never been the ratings hit that cw expected
it to be but fans generally enjoyed the Arrow
flash spinoff and we're happy to see it receive
a renewal However, the fact that it would only
consist of 13 episodes was somewhat disappointing
especially with the legion of doom considered
or Confirmed as the new big bads. Yeah, I says
thankfully the network has announced that David
added additional four episodes to take the current
total up to 17 which is worth season one yeah
well it's worth noting that it was never the
plan for the series to receive a full 22 episode
order yeah so it's interesting to hear that it's
been expanded but also the crossover is going
to be five episodes between the four shows so
that should be really interesting oh yeah The
CW is just knocking it out of the park with their
DC TV universe. They really, really are. Um,
so they're also saying for the, uh, the team
up, um, this is, uh, Supergirl, uh, it's saying
something that they're going to have the dominators,
mind -controlling extraterrestrials that earth's
surging population of metahumans. And it says
we're actually going to see superheroes fight
each other Cool, so you're gonna have super girl
flying the cisco and flash tear hole on the fabric
of space -time Wow But yeah, it's gonna be interesting
Legends has been kicking ass this season. They
really have I mean every episode there's something
getting rid of Vandal Savage Was the best thing
that show did I mean that they had to have a
big bad for season one and there's only so much
you can do with Vandal after a while and The
way that they got rid of him was more than fine.
I love season one of legends I think it's great,
you know that we have all these Quote -unquote
legends because they're not heroes. They're either
heroes or villains or crooks or criminals or
whatever But season one of legends was very I
thought it was very awesome for 16 episodes of
television. I thought it was damn good You know
and as you said, you know It's kind of lucky
that they get rid of Vandal, but I think that
they always had that plan to do that To bring
in the bigger DC one once Supergirl got picked
up by the CW Everything is open season amongst
those those four shows now It really really is
especially with the flash and the timeline and
all that stuff and everything else But I have
just been really digging dig even this past week's
episode The week before election week a week
ago or two weeks ago at this point when we released
this even the zombie episode everybody knows
i am not a zombie fan whatsoever but confederate
zombies i had to actually shut that episode off
really i had a hard time watching it but i think
it's because um... uh... it's i don't know i'm
sensitized to it now in other words i don't watch
anything with any kind of horror gore or uh...
zombie stuff in it It was too much for me, personally.
So I couldn't sit there and watch it. I had a
hard time with it. I watched the beginning and
then I skipped all the way to the end. And I
saw that Mick had been turned into a zombie and
then they reversed it and then everything went
back to hunky dory. But yeah, I... It wasn't...
Now, for me, because again, I am so not a horror...
I was exposed to more horror movies as a kid
than I'd like to admit. I've seen, as five, six,
and seven year old, I saw any of the Freddys
that were out at the time, any of the Jasons,
any of the Halloweens that were out at the time.
I saw all that stuff. And it scared the living
bejesus out of me. So, now as an adult, I do
not do horror. And when it comes to zombies,
I just don't give a crap about zombies. I could
give a crap less. But, in this episode... I thought
they were done very well. For me, they weren't
too horrific. I mean, Gotham this past week had
more blood in it than Blood Guts and Gore in
it than Legends did. Yeah, and I had a hard time
watching that as well, because it's gotten so...
I'm still trying to... And I think the other
thing that's got me enticed is the fact that
I'm waiting to see Gordon take over now that
Barnes is on the loose. Yup. I'm wondering if
Barnes is gonna turn into a Migdala. Right. Who,
for those that don't know, is controlled by his,
like, anger outlet in the, you know, part of
his brain and kind of just does whatever he feels
and is this, like, Mondo, like, veiny, almost
kind of like a Bane -like character, but he ends
up, like, losing all of his, like, personality
because he starts becoming this anger. Mm -hmm.
uh... this rage machine so it's home i'm wondering
if you're trying to that is that you know that
i was going to turn into calendar man and because
he was doing something dates for a minute there
and then uh... now that he's got like this raging
strength thing on i think that's the direction
that we go with it how much of this past week's
episode did you watch uh... gotham all of it
he pulled a judge dreaded it was so that it was
the one dude set up in the end the uh... no no
no and in the beginning well yeah but in the
end he he showed the guy through the wall he
says i'm judge jury executioner first he said
i am the law he said that one of the instance
of sentence served Soon as he said I am the law,
I'm like, oh my god, Michael Chiklis is Judge
Dredd. That would be hilarious. And the ironic
thing is, as soon as I finish watching the episode
on Hulu, I go over to Netflix and look on Netflix
and what just appeared on Netflix, folks? 1995
Sylvester Stallone, Judge Dredd. But yeah, so
I mean, I think that Gordon's going to have to
kill him. yeah probably and uh... if that doesn't
happen a lot but uh... he's he's definitely going
to be out of commission i think gordon now that
he's back to the gcpd is going to become captain
and then uh... eventually commissioner this past
week's episode had nothing to do with bruce or
alfred which is interesting to me it was all
about uh... yeah barnes and uh... gordon which
was, I don't want to say it was a refreshing
twist, but it was kind of interesting and nice
that they're focusing on that one story for the,
sometimes Gotham tries too hard and they try
to cram too much, they basically, Spider -Man
3, their episodes every now and then, trying
to get too much into it. They did that a lot
in the first two seasons with Fish Mooney. Thank
God she's gone for now. but yeah I mean I'm still
season three of Gotham has been the best so far
I think I'm interested to see what is going to
happen if and when they bring the Joker back
that'll be season four okay well they said he's
not coming back this season okay I like the fact
that the Mad Hatter is in there I think that's
you know another cool you know, villain nod for
Batman, because Mad Hatter has always been around
in the Batman universe. I'm kind of hoping Mr.
Freeze comes back. I don't know if he will, but...
He may. And I love the fact that they have Lucius
Fox in Nygma's old job as the CSI. I thought
that was hilarious. Tell you the one thing that's
creeping me out with Gotham though. The one thing
I cannot stand about it is this whole Riddler
penguin Relationship thing Yeah, I've been trying
to sidestep that because they're trying to pull
one of those and Supergirl as well Supergirl's
sister and that they're leading towards that
too I always knew Maggie Sawyer was gay, so I
knew that but like I don't know I I feel like
and I feel like all the shows and I'm not saying
that there shouldn't be representation for it
I I'm gonna probably gonna catch crap for this
and I mean I understand it I'm not telling anybody
whatsoever how to live their life. I you know
everybody has their own style every lifestyle
whatever I don't Feel like they have to pander
to everything on all of the The shows and it
seems like they're purposely trying to shove
it like even the new Star Trek shows coming out
Like they're shoving it in there. I mean like
If it's gonna happen have it natural like, you
know, the Maggie Sawyer character, you know,
that's fine So yeah, they're trying to but trying
to force it on a character that's already there
You know, I just I don't know. I don't know how
I feel about that Super Real has only had one
season to this point, one full season to this
point. Yeah, but the sister, like, I just, I
don't know. Something about it doesn't feel right,
and then at the same time, like, the Penguin
Riddler thing really seems off to me and seems
kind of a lame, like, grab at it. I don't know.
I'll talk about Penguin Riddler in a second,
but the Alex and Maggie thing. Yes, it's not
who Maggie normally... is known to date, because
normally Maggie is known to be dating, um, oh,
oh, one of the Bat Women, I think. I forget which
one. Um, but here's the thing. Supergirl has
had one season. In that first season, we - got
to see some of Alex's character, but we didn't
get to see a whole hell of a lot of her character,
and I think that's what they're doing in Season
2. They're letting each character have their
moments, and I like with the slow, gradual buildup
of Alex and Maggie, I'm fine with that, I have
no problem with that. But on the other hand,
with Gotham, as you said... it feels too forced
between Penguin and Riddler and then and it's
not even like an overtly gay relationship yet
at this point in the season but that's where
the Penguin essentially said that he loves him
you know and he I don't know Gotham's a little
weird on its relationships sometimes and it's
not just because it's a gay relationship at all
it's just it's always been weird with The whole
Bruce and Selena thing has been weird since season
one. I know coming up either this week or next
week, Ivy's gonna be returning and that's gonna
cause a whole hell of a lot of problems. So,
Superhero TV, yay! Yep. What else you got? Well,
Scanner 51 has a interesting question for us
this week. He says Today is now November 9th
the day after the election on the 8th some of
our local newspapers Printed a story California
to considering tax on streaming video sites Every
time you stream you get taxed now the article
broke it down to only cities here in San Francisco
Bay Area 20 that we're considering this possible
tax. He says he lives in one of them. His in
-laws and his friends in another. The article
said that it's not just cable companies missing
our money. That we're considering the possible,
or yeah, that were our money, but local governments
too. This will not be taken to a vote by the
people. There are loopholes that don't require
it. Now I know that a, for a fact that Pennsylvania
has done this and it's working and I see this
spreading in local here, which means Southern
California is next. most likely the whole state
uh he says that he knows that you and and i do
a lot of streaming in his uh or he says and you
are looking to move there he says you're wants
to know your feelings uh he says and to say to
him this welcome to california yes the article
said nothing about streaming music which is good
because they stream that i'm screwed Yeah, I
download my music through iTunes. I actually
purchased my music through iTunes, so I have
it on my computer I don't have to worry about
streaming music So basically what he wants to
know is taxation on streaming, right? Yeah Isn't
there already tax through like I pay No, I don't
know it is $11 .99 and $8 .99 for Netflix and
Hulu combined. I don't know I mean it really
depends I mean is it just gonna be one tax charge
per month in with my plan or is it gonna be Per
like is it gonna? He's talking per per show that
you stream. Oh god. That would be horrible. Are
you kidding me? Yeah, that's nuts Why am I pet
why am I gonna sit here and pay Netflix and Hulu
a combination of just under $25 a month to stream
everything I want But yet the government's gonna
come in and tax each show That's nuts And I'm
not out there in California yet, dude, so there
is no welcoming committee yet I'm only going
for a visit right now for now. Yeah Good So yeah,
there's that. On a side note, Ron Perlman's running
for president in 2020. Oh boy. So is Kanye West.
So is Kim Kardashian. So in 2024, I'm running.
Oh, God. I saw an image somewhere on Facebook.
This is a while ago. I think this was after the
first or the second debate. Someone did a meme
of all of the women. Chelsea Clinton. Ivanka
Trump. Michelle Obama in each year, so 2020,
2024, all the 2032. Like, oh my God, that's just
crazy. Oh, I don't think I'd get very far, but
I'm going to try. Wait, get very far. Oh yeah.
You as president. Yeah. I'm going to be president
2024. So I wonder how many of those celebrities
are actually gonna move. Yeah, that's what I'm
wondering. Someone died last week. I said, I
says well, I says if the Annoying Orange gets
elected Since everybody's hating on him now like
I guess I can call him that This is my thing
either have rabid fans on one side of the fence
or on the other and yes I understand he's a pig
but what president isn't I mean people seem to
forget bill had his pants down quite often in
got caught for it and everybody's like uh...
it should never been in the public uh... it you
know you get caught with his pants down charges
run in his mouth so again like i'm not fans of
any of them they're all trashed but politics
are always trashed but uh... but yeah like all
these celebrities like my lease iris will be
goldberg john steward brian kranston like i told
uh... died last week I says Zordon might be moving
to your home and he's like what are you talking
about and I says Brian Cranston he says he's
like we can have Walter White in Canada I was
like yeah I mean some of these like they can
go there you know have at it like Well, the funny
thing is because it's like their way of saying
oh if you guys elected a war I'm moving I'm packing
up and the funny thing is is like the candidate
election sites actually been take like crash
numerous times because Americans trying to like
I'm moving No, it's not the election site. It's
not the election the immigration. It's the immigration
site that is Consistently been crashed because
people training. I'm like, oh my god. You've
got a beginning look You know what? We all, no
matter who we voted for, we made our choices.
Whether you voted for Hillary, whether you voted
for Trump, whether you voted for third party,
those that voted for the two main candidates,
we all made a choice. We all now have to live
with that choice. It's not the end of the world,
people. We're still here. The world isn't burning
yet. But here's the thing, you know what I mean?
It's like... Everybody just assumes that because
Trump won, that the world is going to explode
any second. There have been far worse things
that have happened in the history of the United
States than Donald Trump becoming president.
Somebody on Twitter, I saw this somewhere, I
forget where it was, I saw it on Facebook, but
again it was someone who screen capped a tweet.
Someone on Twitter, I don't know who the hell
it was, said the two worst dates in U .S. history,
11 -9 and 9 -11. I am sorry, folks. There's no
way in hell electing Donald J. Trump is worse
than terrorists murdering United States citizens
in the September 11 attacks. There's no way electing
a president is worse than murder. You realize
that Americans are protesting? destroying and
killing each other now just because that's just
yeah the level of stupidity that's put it in
everything in this this world is like if you
don't like something there's always a better
way of going about it it's called get out and
vote that's like the only thing that we can possibly
do being a protester does nothing nowadays it
worked in the 60s because it had never been done
yeah There's so many protests about everything
now that it's just, it's just deaf noise. And
then when people get shot, they wonder why, because
they're sitting there, destroying the streets
or destroying buildings or throwing a big pissing
contest, temper tantrum, no matter where they
go. And to me, it's sad. Like, yes, I don't necessarily
agree with what's happened. But again, if people
had got off their rears and voted, because there
were a lot of people that didn't. They have nobody
to blame but themselves. Yeah Have you seen the
the Instagram photo that's going around Facebook?
It's of the United States And it's red and blue.
Have you seen this? No, so basically it's a picture
of the United States Where the entire West Coast
is in blue and it says America Michigan, Wisconsin,
all that upper Great Lakes stuff is America.
The Northeast, Maine, all the way down, halfway
is America. In the middle of the country, from
Texas to Nevada to Arizona, Kentucky, Indiana,
Ohio, all of that is in red and it says, and
I'm sorry, I'll mark this show explicit, it says,
Dumbfuckistan. I'm just like oh So on a side
your answer is gonna be but let me ask the audience
this okay With everything that Donald Trump has
said Would you rather have a overinflated egotistical
maniacal guy that says stuff all the time in
office, or would you rather have a liar? You
know, so... Well, and to be fair, he said all
this crap before he was elected. Right. So, it
remains to be seen whether he cleans up his act
now that he's president and acts presidential,
or if he resorts back to the lowest common denominator.
This is the last thing I'll say on it and we
can move on to something fun and... I do have
something fun coming. Oh, okay, well... Just
hang on to that for a second. I have never been
more excited to watch presidential stuff just
to see what the hell is going to happen. Cause
I don't know. Then right now to see what the
last time I was really excited about a president
is when I was six years old and Reagan was in
office. I would watch as a kid, the presidential
stuff all the time in the last 25 years. I think
I've watched one speech each of the last four
presidents, you know, between Bush Sr., Jr.,
Clinton, and Obama. I've watched one speech each.
For me, with Donald Trump now as our president
-elect, because he doesn't have the job just
yet, he won't have it until January, like we
said before, I am really interested to see, as
you said, if he actually does act presidential
once he's actually in office. yeah yeah and that's
the thing that I wonder because again actions
speak louder than words and that's that's my
whole thing like I I get that people don't like
him and that's okay but again actions speak louder
than words and that's what remains to be seen
at this point in time yep so moving on back to
fun The Transformers Network has a pretty cool
promo video coming soon that I was fortunate
enough to be a part of. Awesome. And it features
myself and two others doing Megatron, Optimus
Prime, and the narrator from G1, Victor Karoly.
In this ad and it's awesome It just needs sound
effects and music and it'll be like pretty cool.
I'm waiting to see this. I cannot wait actually
Yeah, I It's and it's animated in the transformers
prime animation style. Oh sweet so or not transformers
prime transformers rid, but it looks like it's
a cross between that and Transformers Prime.
That's because Prime and Ritter are essentially
the same continuity. Well, it looks more at that
level. Yeah. So yeah, I'm kind of excited to
see what it looks like when it's done. Yeah,
absolutely. The prime sounds like spot -on the
Megatron is is Beast Wars Megatron and it was
they Changed the vocoder to make it sound closer
to the Megatronus And then the animation how
it like closes out is pretty Freaking awesome
if I do say so myself because you haven't seen
that yet. I've just played the audio for you.
Yeah The ending title screen. I think it's pretty
freaking wicked the best part is all of the the
the text Is based off of my original designs?
At the end it Colors are changed, but it's still
my my text right that I type The fonts that I
chose and everything so it's it's pretty cool
Because I designed the original stuff in the
new version of the site And hearing the Victor
Karolyi voice in there is pretty freaking cool
Which I managed to contract a side version for
all things transformers Which sweet for those
that decide to check that out. We get to hear
it again awesome, so So yeah, there's that I
Think I mean, I don't know if you got anything
else, but I think that probably wraps it up for
this week I Mean we haven't had this far. I don't
know if arrows on tonight as we're recording
this I don't know if legends is gonna be on this
week because most of the time in election week
The shows will skip well surprisingly we had
Stuff Monday with yeah, we had Supergirl and
Gotham, but I'm not sure if the rest of the shows
are gonna play and again We're recording this
before it's released. Obviously. It'll be released
Monday the 14th, but I Mean I haven't really
been why like I watch like I said Supergirl and
Gotham and I watched some other stuff that I
watched but like I haven't really It's kind of
been an off week for TV for me You turn the TV
off. I don't have a TV. I use my computer Somebody
get me a TV my kingdom for a TV. No, I'm just
kidding But yeah, so How about we tease next
week? Maybe in a minute. I I have to comment
on this thing pretty quick because it's funny.
Um I did I tell you about the thing with the
daredevil season 2 You told me part of it and
then you had to take another call. I think okay
um... so at work one of the guys was watching
daredevil season two and he's interrogating uh...
uh... ninja here you can tell me this and this
is like before electric comes in shows up i'm
not going to say because i don't know exactly
what's going on i don't watch the show but right
he was he was i i walked around and he's like
uh... Oh, and I says, what are you doing? He's
like, oh, I'm watching daredevil and I said,
oh, okay, and then he shows it to me and then
There's a scene where Matt Murdock because he's
not in costume in the scene it goes up to this
guy and he's got this guy pinned after they've
gotten in this huge fight with like swords and
daggers and everything else and He grabs him
and he goes Basically and I said exactly that
like the uh... christian bale batman did to the
joker like the dark night and uh... the the guy
just started rolling and i started rolling like
we're both laughing so hard we're crying because
if he's like that's what it sounds like and uh...
he's like i didn't even know and uh... we were
both just laughing hysterically at the scene
and uh... i just i couldn't help it like it was
Calling out to me like the minute. I saw him
start doing the gravelly thing and grabbing him
Slamming him and stuff. I'm like it is so bad
So I just again I couldn't help it it was hilarious
So yeah, but yeah for the all things that are
transformers This is for the all things that
are transformers coming up in another Episode
I get to open optimus primal years Yes, and next
week on alter geek it's episode 165 And we're
actually gonna be getting a little bit more personal
than we normally do We're gonna be talking about
a little bit of life. Yeah, we both as The co
-creators of the Geekcast Radio Network, the
two of us have been podcasting for seven and
a half, almost eight years at this point. Well,
a little more for you, but since the network
has been online, it's been seven and a half,
eight years. And in that time, a lot has changed.
I've said this before on this podcast, my mom
passed away last year. So that was a huge change
for me, a huge life change. In that time I started
dating someone online and I'm going out there
for Christmas for my first visit and everything
else this year and at some point if the first
visit works out and the second visit works out
next year for my birthday I'll end up moving
out there to California as Scanner said welcome
to California earlier. So there's gonna be a
lot of changes. There's gonna be a lot of content
that I want to do. but I don't know if we're
gonna get to do it right away. I know you want
to get Altered Geek to at least 200 episodes
for the audience show. Yeah, and I guess I'll
get to that next week. There may come a point
where I may retire. Other than guesting appearances.
Yeah. So I'm not entirely sure how that's gonna
go yet. I've been dabbling with the idea in my
head. Yep. because at this point, I don't, I
know I have more to offer, I'm just not sure
what, where to go from here. Right. And we've
got to find some way to grow the network. So
there's that. So that's what's coming up next
week. You guys are going to hear all that. We're
going to get a little bit more personal, like
I said, and I think doing a little bit more personal
stuff is, you know, that's when I started my
blog earlier this year, uh, from the desk of
TFG1 Mike, that was my whole point was to get
a little bit more personal on the positive side
of things and uh... i've written a few things
up for that and everything else so uh... so yeah
that's gonna be fun uh... for now you wanna take
us out so until next time get altered get geeky
the altered geeks this is truly pathetic
No chapter markers for this episode.
