They also discuss recent TV announcements for Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, and Gotham, plus a deep dive into CBS and Paramount's restrictive new guidelines for Star Trek fan productions—and why those rules are so frustrating to the fanbase. You're tuned in to Steve Megatron on Altered

Geek Unlimited Hello and welcome to Altered Geek

I'm your host Steve Megatron Phillips and joining

me this week is Jeff, Joe and Mike hello hello

hello I have a host with me again yes it's I

don't know it's been a few weeks hasn't it yeah

it kind of has I forget sometimes because due

to time reasons sometimes or Hosting reasons

or other shows are recording. Sometimes things

get off kilter a little bit. So this week Or

sometimes you decide to go off and strike on

your own and say oh no one was around when clearly

I'm here all the time Well, sometimes yeah, sometimes

that's true and sometimes I don't feel like recording

the night that we record and I want to play a

video game and So I say no Exactly. And I'll

do it the next day on my cell phone, which I

actually should get a secondary microphone that's

like 30, 40 bucks and plug it in my PC there

and record that way. So I don't have to convert

from an M4A file to an MP3 because my phone records

an M4A, which I could probably do wave to, but

it would just take up more space. So then I upload

them all to my OneDrive, and then I convert them,

and then I import them into the program, and

then I edit it. So there's a lot of extra steps,

but sometimes I just don't care. I just rather

play the game because I can't do that at work,

obviously. And it takes like 20 minutes to do

a podcast, like editing -wise. But yeah, so I

am officially done with this semester of school.

Yay! Yes, I'm happy about that. We created our

little companies, our portfolios turned in. I

had all of my stuff done, whether it was visual

portfolio on PowerPoint or a printed version.

Either way, I was ready to go. more or less because

of the amount of hits GeekCastRadio gets and

that's technically a, you know, I was able to

lump that in there with my assignment because

he's like, we need to build social media presence.

We need to have a website. We need to have hits.

We need to have this. And I'm like, dude, I've

got seven years of it. I'm like, I'm like, there's

seven years on this site. I'm like, I've got

like four years on the other one. I just haven't

done anything with it. It's like. I literally,

half the class I did nothing. It's forced me

to do some other things though. A lot of these

classes have been kind of... Because I'm one

of those people that I get burnt out very easily

on things that I like to do. Unless it's like

games or if it's talking. I don't mind running

my mouth, I don't mind playing a video game,

but if it's much more than that, I'm kind of

a lazy person. Or I get sidetracked very easily

and I go to something else. So what happened

is I was meaning to write that story and turn

it into a novel. Well, I had screenwriting, I

wrote it as a script, as a screenplay. I created

like a 13 episode of story arc from the one episode.

So I have my direction now I have all the characters

I created last year and Now I'm converting it

to a novel so that I can sell it on Amazon as

an actual book like a physical copy and have

you know a a little bit more than What is in

the screenplay so I designed like a cover a mock

cover and I'm gonna do like a a book trailer

for it, which was a part of the class thing.

Didn't have to, but I'm kind of choosing to do

it. So therein, in that being said, I'm motivated

now to actually go through with that part of

it. So yeah, I mean, there's a bunch of different

fires going at the same time, but I've learned

that compartmentalizing sections, So that I can

jump between the things prevents me from getting

burnout. So as long as I do a little bit here,

do a little bit here, do a little bit here, I

don't get burnout. So I just kind of keep that

momentum going. Yeah, it's like you've got a

transporter room in every section of your projects.

You just have to warp between them. And then

the nice part is I finally have my new headset.

There you go. Which came today, and I figured

out why my computer wasn't booting. I had a dead

hard drive and then Luckily, it wasn't the one

I need It's just yeah, it's either the cord or

it's the drive I'm pretty sure it's the drive,

but I'm gonna get another cord out of storage

later on to figure that out But the headset is

actually pretty nice. It's very similar to my

old one fits the same the only thing I don't

like about this headset is It's a minute thing

and it's because I've had eight years of the

other headset before it finally fizzled out and

died Is I had the volume controls and the mute

button under the headset mm -hmm on the earpiece

this one is on the middle of the cord so It means

I have to keep it in front of me and it because

this Let's be honest, I'm too lazy to reach forward

sometimes when I'm in the middle of keeping content

up on the screen so I have something to talk

about. And I don't want to click the mute or

the lower volume button on there because it just

takes too long. Because sometimes I need to turn

down the volume while people are talking depending

on what it is so I can concentrate, which is

sometimes why I go, what was that again, huh?

And then it has to be re -explained to me. So,

that's usually what's happened at that point.

So, it's a lot easier for me if it's on the headset,

but I guess I'll learn to get over it. Just like

this new keyboard I have, because my old one,

the props broke off it, the backspace button

isn't... The keyboard's a lot shorter in the

width, so the backspace button is only one key

width instead of two. So I'm thrown off by that

too. So I mean, it's a bunch of little changes

that are kind of culminating to irritate me at

the same time. I think I've said this before.

I don't know if I've said it on this show, but

I know I've said it before. I think since about

2007, 2008, I constantly go back, whether it's

on eBay, whether it's on Amazon, wherever I can

find it. I constantly will go back. If my keyboard

and mouse are dying, I will go back and find

that exact same model to buy it again because

I just love the way that this thing is set up

and there's no other keyboard out there that

is like this at this point in time. Well, my

keyboard, I saved it. It's in my my closet I

use it as my spare for when I'm working on other

people's computers because I have the two monitors

All I do is just disconnect. I actually have

two cords attached to one monitor one That's

actually plugged into my tower and the other

one that's plugged into Nothing because in case

I need to work on a machine Right, I just unscrew

it from my tower and I plug it into the other

one and then I just run on one monitor but uh

That's why I keep the extra mouse and keyboard

as well so that I can do that but The the headset

issue I ran into is the one I had was the Logitech

clear chat Pro USB headset That's the exact title

of it I bought it eight years ago. Well, it was

a little old at the time and It cost me $35 if

I go to buy that exact headset now It's $160

because they don't make them anymore So the demand

has gone up for this particular headset when

people want it even the used you're talking like

sixty seventy dollars and I'm like mmm. I don't

like the word used on technology Games is one

thing books is one thing Hardware not really

So this headset is actually the same price point

the $35 is the old one It looks exactly the same

other than the fact that the buttons are in a

different spot. So it's got me thrown a little

bit that way. But $35 was more worth it to me.

Although the thing that sucked is I cancelled

my Amazon Prime about the day before I ordered

this. So I had to wait a week to get it instead

of two days. Yeah, so stupid me. With my setup,

I've had this CAD U37 condenser mic from, I think

I bought this back in 2009. It has never failed

me at all. For headphones, I had some, but I

don't remember. Oh no, I hadn't been using headphones

for a while. And my good buddy Dustin Vancor,

who does the Nerd Effect podcast, he's a big

Twig fan, big Sharon fan. He had shown me, I

think a couple of Christmases ago, these JVC

precision sound full -size headphones. And I've

got those. And for me, the volume controls are

right on my keyboard, other than the Skype volume,

which is in Skype itself, obviously. So I never

really needed anything on the actual headset

for volume control, because I can always just

reach over and just do it that way. It's just

easier for me to do it that way. But those headphones

are amazing. I absolutely love them. So now that

we've bored everybody with our thoughts on headphones,

hopefully we didn't bore anybody. This show boring?

No, we're the GCRN. We're dead and loving it.

We're buried. We're buried. Buried at Michael

Wilson's backyard. Sometimes. So yeah, I guess

before we go to a Break to do the AGNN. I will

bring up the Loot Crate They have a different

box right now in the interim before the next

box and because the the previous one is now gone

but They have Basically you you You get the $20

a month box you get the the $3 off or 10 % off

a new subscription by going to lootcrate .com

slash GCRN using the promo code TBV. And you

get the chance to order some other boxes right

now because the other one is no longer relevant.

The July one though that is coming up is going

to be the futuristic, which I have to wait just

a couple days. It starts the... 27th of June

you get six to eight items of licensed gear and

Yeah, it's gonna go till July 19th so basically

and so it's gonna be it's gonna be actual like

stuff that I Would be interested in Not saying

that some of the stuff that's been in some of

the other ones But it's got like this one not

so much because I don't know anything about it

Rick and Morty I've heard that it's you know

Basically like it's a cartoon. Yeah, it's a cartoon,

but it's like kind of a back -to -the -future

vibe to some of the characters, but Futurama,

Star Trek, Megaman, Valiant Comics, and did they

mention Star Trek? Including a model, a figure,

and the monthly TNT. That one has me intrigued

because I like Futurama, Star Trek, and Megaman

very much so. Yeah, the July box, you know apparently

you know when that baby hits 88 miles per hour

you're gonna see some serious And with that we'll

to the show. You are listening to the Altergeek

News Network. And we're back. What's that? Thank

you, Brain. Yeah, speaking of Brains, just saw

TMNT 2. That was an interesting story. Yes. Uh,

Krang was not at all what I expected. Although

I did know with Brad Garrett doing the voice,

I was not particularly thrilled with the concept,

but I got over it. It should have been Fraley,

but that's here to here to there. It's, yeah,

that's purely fanboy talking, but it wasn't bad

though. It wasn't as horrible like as, we are

the Krang, blah blah blah, Roseanne. I don't

quite mind the fact that the head -crank of the

2012 Turtles cartoon is Roseanne Barr. because

they worked around a story point to be able to

make 87 Crang in continuity with 2012, so I don't

really mind that. Yeah, that's the only redeemable

fact is that they did make it so that 87 is tied

to the Dimension X of there. But yeah, I enjoyed

the film overall. Overall. Speaking of other

films... I know we generally save this and we

just did an episode of All Things Transformers,

but I just saw Conflict Resources post a news

article on Facebook. Michael Bay introduces a

pint -size addition to Transformers The Last

Knight. Yeah, we don't talk about it. Wheely

2 .0. It's a Vesper Scooter inspired newcomer

dubbed Squeaks. That's what happens when I run

him over with my truck. He squeaks as his parts

go tumbling down the road. Yeah, I was omitting

that because it's not news. It's just bad comedy.

I know. So, getting into something that's not

bad comedy, Power Rangers. We have our Zordon.

And he's a villain. Or used to be. On a couple

different shows. Yup. He actually started out

on Power Strangers as Rita's villains back then.

Yup. And now he's Zordon and that would be Bryan

Cranston. we get to test out the almighty bald

one once more until I hear him or see him in

a trailer you know I'm actually kind of fine

with him doing it because he's a pretty diverse

actor he is but until I actually see what Zordon

I mean I think it's a cool piece of news I think

it's a cool thing that they're bringing back

somebody that was once a part of the television

show I'm not saying anything bad about it but

until As far as it being Bryan Cranston, I've

known him from the early days of Power Rangers,

Malcolm in the Middle, and Breaking Bad. Until

I actually see him and hear him as Zordon, I'm

not going to make a final determination whether

I like it or not. I'm good with it. I'm more

worried about the Rangers themselves. So yeah,

I'm good with that. But I thought that was kind

of interesting that he gets to come back and

play in the universe again. And then of course

there's a new Sonic the Hedgehog game in the

works. And movie, of course. How long have they

been trying to get a Sonic movie off the ground?

They've had a couple animated things. Yeah. Which

obviously is the only place he works. It says,

they're developing a brand new game as well as

developing a full movie actively done by Sony

Pictures and animation is on Sonic Boom. We are

also ready to improve sponsor ties. So in other

words, they're just basically trying to rehash

Sonic into the modern world because they're saying

due to the success of Ratchet and Clank, they're

trying to do Sonic again. I just don't see how

a Sonic like live -action film, unless Sonic

himself is gonna be CGI, I don't see how they're

gonna be able to make that work. I just, I think

Sonic is one of those like franchise characters

that doesn't really translate well anymore. I

feel bad saying that, but I think that it's like

the little boy who lost his way. And it just

kept walking into the the the forest and getting

lost and then eaten by a tree Yeah, I just I

don't even know what to say about it So I guess

I'll move on So we're finally getting a Ferris

days or Ferris Bueller's day off soundtrack 30

years later. Yep I'm surprised it took this long,

but I guess with all of the, you know, that's

the one thing I have to say about La La Land

Records is they bring soundtracks to things that

are old, but they're things that people want

to see. Here's the thing. And some of it's not

even old, some of it's recent, but it's still,

they do such a bang up job on getting these.

Here's the thing, I've been working with La La

Land Records for three years now. and everything

that company does at times surprises me but at

the same time it's no surprise because they are

they excel at so much at what they're doing their

slogan is all in records where soundtracks live

and really seriously I mean it's just an amazing

amazing company I you know I'm hoping that we'll

be the ones to get the exclusive track list reveal

because they have not revealed the track list

yet for Ferris Bueller. They have not revealed

any new details other than the fact that it's

coming in September. So I'm hoping that they

will be giving us the inside scoop before then.

It's crazy. It's been 30 years, though. It's

crazy that you're 30 years. Oh, God, you're as

old as that movie. I am. Shut up, boy. The thing

with La La Land is, and I know I'm kind of jumping

in here, but they do a lot of classic stuff,

a lot of stuff that had never been done before.

Like you said, they're also doing a lot of new

stuff. They are releasing and they will have

limited edition type stuff at Comic Con this

year for Batman the Killing Joke, because they're

releasing that, the soundtrack for that. They're

releasing I think some sort of vinyl record thing

for the Wonder Woman animated, the Wonder Woman

TV series, so they're doing that. I mean that

company just fires on all cylinders with everything

that they touch and it's just amazing. Oh, I

totally agree. They've more than knocked it out

of the park every step of the way. So Disney

has plans for more than one Indiana Jones, which

leaves me kind of wondering, what is the McGuffin

and how long are they going to have Harrison

Ford? Didn't somebody say, was it Lucas or someone

said recently, we will never recast Indiana Jones

that Harrison Ford is the only Indiana Jones?

And I'm like, well, how are you going to have

more Indiana Jones movies? Are you just going

to keep the guy on ice the whole time? I mean...

So he doesn't break another boot? Yeah. Something

like that Yeah, they said that they're gonna

bring him back and then they'll have to figure

out what comes next that mean They're saying

that uh That there's that they're gonna do equals

Requels what the hell is a recoil? It's like

a reboot sequel I can't believe that's even a

frigging word Yeah, they said, this is actually

their quote though. I'm going to read this just

because it's so idiotic. Bob Iger discusses the

possibility of more than one Indiana Jones film

beyond the 2019 release. This is Harrison Ford

will return to the iconic role. It says, They're

going to build out the brand of Indiana Jones.

It says, but we hope right now we're focused

on a reboot or a continuum and then a reboot

of some sort. It says that they're presuming

that a younger Jones could be in the mix. Iger

addressed that the term, Requel, was used throughout

the interview. He says, we'll bring him back.

Then we'll have to figure out what comes next.

That's what I mean. It's not really a reboot.

It's a boot. A reboot. I don't know. Requel.

This is actually verbatim what he's saying. We

got Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones in the film,

but then what's the direction? I've had discussions

about what that direction is, but I don't want

to get into it. And then it says George Lucas

will be involved creatively. And Steven Spielberg,

obviously, is going to be headlining it. It says

George is going to be executive producer on it.

Of course, I would never make an Indiana Jones

without George Lucas. That would be insane. Yeah,

there's no title or no idea. It says John Williams

will be returning to score the movie. So It's

yeah, I I don't even know what to say about this

Because like I don't know what the hell every

equals supposed to be. Can we just move on? Yeah,

I think we'll do that. Um So there was a lot

of Justice League news dropped this week. Yeah

a lot of Justice League news To the point I'm

gonna want to punch myself in the face, but They

they have the logo we got to see that Pretty

plain, but it doesn't need to be fancy It says

that this will not be a part one it'll be its

own standalone like there's not gonna be a part

one part two that is gonna It's just gonna be

Justice League is what those ones called All

in all, doing this, now they've got this top

20 of things that are going to come down from

this. They let certain people go visit the set

to critics and news report places to check it

out. They flew them over to the UK to go check

it out. Says the the official synopsis is Fueled

by his restored faith and humanity inspired by

Superman's selfless act Bruce Wayne enlists the

help of his newfound ally Diana Prince to face

an even greater enemy together together That's

funny Batman and Wonder Woman work together to

quickly found and recruit a team of metahumans

to stand against this newly awakened threat,

but that despite the formation of this unprecedented

league of heroes, Batman, Wonder Woman, Cyborg,

Aquaman, and the Flash, it may already be too

late to save the planet. It doesn't say anything

about how it's coming back. It says the prologue

is confirmed. And then it says and there's a

bunch of other stuff, but there's like a scene

where Batman's recruiting The Flash and kind

of meets him in his house is Bruce Wayne and

then tricks them into showing who he really is

and throws a battering and the Flash runs and

catches it and Batman's Behind him in the bat

suit. Oh jeez So as fast as he is to go catch

it, he's in the Batsuit. So they're talking about

Wayne's supposed to upgrade everybody's armor,

so... Yeah, okay, so you mentioned that Wayne

is supposed to upgrade everybody's armor. They're

saying the Flash's suit's gonna be 128 pieces.

Yeah, well you say that, and all I can think

of is that Young Ju - not Young Ju - Justice,

Injustice. The Injustice 2 teaser. That's what

they're going for, I think. Oh no! Hey, but that

means we could see the Batman, be honest with

you, not Batman. Maybe. I hope not, but maybe.

That would be funny. So they're saying Steppenwolf

is indeed the villain who's supposed to be basically,

like, Darkseid's, like, uncle or somebody. William

DeFoe is playing an Atlantean named Volko, who's

supposed to be, like, basically the, uh... One

of the leaders of Atlantis scientific community

and is ruled in place of Aquaman at times That'll

be interesting Batman will have more than one

bat suit because of the tech and the tweaking

and the new armor plates And new gauntlets and

new you know new everything. He's gonna have

a couple different suits Ben Affleck's gonna

direct the standalone Batman movie and more or

less said that until the scripts right and it's

like a detective Batman movie like he's not gonna

do it Like he's waiting until the script is right

or he doesn't want to waste time with people

and people's money Which I think is kind of nice.

Yeah, he wants to do it justice Justice League

is a story about redemption for Batman basically

atonement for all of his actions and showing

that you know He went nuts. The Batmobile gets

an upgrade and weaponized, despite Superman ripping

the top off. There's supposed to be a massive

hanger in the movie. There's supposed to be a

bat thing called the Flying Fox that's supposed

to carry the Justice League. And then there's

another thing called the Nightcrawler, which

is like... And mind you, both of these are big

enough to hold the Batmobile in them. There's

a lot of a lot of like news, but not really news

so it's kind of interesting to see what they're

putting into this Flash will be the comic relief

kind of no surprise there Yeah, I mean that's

Some of it. I don't really care to get into because

like it's stuff. We already know Yeah, it's stuff.

We already know and some of it in let's face

it It can't be worse than what we already saw.

When is Justice League supposed to hit? 2018?

2017. November. Wonder Woman comes in late June.

Okay, so it's next year. The Wonder Woman movie

isn't even out yet. I get it that they want to

hype up Justice League and all that, but... I

just... I'm so tired of Super... DC, specifically

DC movie superhero news, because it's just so...

Okay, this is what you might get when we get

to it. Oh, this is in... It isn't at all what

you're going to get at something else. It's like,

God, give me a break. Well, to be fair, they

kind of hit that a little too early on Batman

v Superman. Three years of bull crap marketing.

At least this is a year in advance. So this I'm

good with. But they're going to have a Gotham

rooftop scene with Commissioner Gordon using

the bat signal. And Batman shows up and Gordon

says, how many of you are there? And then he

says, not enough. And then Gordon says, dozens

of witnesses all over Gotham, descriptions matching

suspects in the metropolis, abductions. Batman

says, bad guys, flying monkeys. Cyborg enters,

Wonder Woman smiles at Cyborg. Says, the head

of Star Labs was taken. And then they go to something

else. But yeah, there's going to be some comedy

in it. It'll be pretty good overall. Shall we

talk about the the big TV buffer in the room

with CW Hulu and Netflix? Sure, so I've read

through this article several times to make sure

I have it right CW and Netflix plan new deal

Hulu to end in season packed Essentially what

this is saying is that the Netflix and the CW

are going to have full -on seasons Like okay,

so whenever season 3 of the flash airs later

this year season 2 will be put up on Netflix

like a week earlier or something like that and

they are going to CW is going to end the pact

with Hulu so no one can see Like Tuesday night's

episode Wednesday morning like I do it basically

the the Hulu CW pact was Hulu could have five

episodes streaming at one time with having the

most recent episode be available next day. Well

with this whole... So basically you have to wait

until the end of the season. Pretty much. To

watch it instead of two weeks before the new

season starts. Yeah, well see that's the thing

where it's like, you know, one of the main reasons

I joined Hulu was because I wasn't going to have...

I basically cut the cord. So... One of the main

reasons why I joined Hulu was so I could get

that next day access to The Flash and Arrow and

Legends and all that, or any other episodes that

I wanted to see of any other show. So, with them

ending this, I'm like, okay, I have to turn off

my internet for an entire seven months, you know,

seven months and three weeks or whatever to see

to then marathon the whole third season of The

Flash, because I don't currently have cable.

I'm not getting cable anytime soon. So it's like

I could see if Netflix created CW and Netflix

created some sort of pact where They put up the

whole second season right before the third season

But then they do in season runs the next day

like that was doing was done on Hulu But I don't

think they're gonna do that there now which sucks

Yeah, it's it's kind of a tough wedge for people

that that rely on it You know week to week from

that way and in I'm not really I'm not all that

psyched for The concept of it. I mean granted.

I don't watch that many commercials anyway, but

I get my shows in a different method yeah If

I can't watch them live. Well see that's the

other thing the current Availability for CW if

you don't have if you're not paying is their

app or the website right it If you're not paying

for Hulu Plus, which is Hulu Plus for the unlimited

whatever it is. It's 12 11 99 a month, which

is fine if you're not paying for that the only

other way you can see the CW shows is on their

website or on the app. And the website, I know

specifically because I've tried watching shows

on their website, they have at least 10 different

advertisements every break that they do. Why

am I paying for Hulu? I'm paying for Hulu for

no ads. That's the point. You know, so I don't

know. I think I'm just going to start watching

old TV shows from now on and I just don't even

care about new TV anymore when it comes to the

CW if they're going to go through with this damn

deal. In the article it says, why didn't Hulu

fight more to keep their in season content? They

wanted to. They wanted to fight more. They wanted

to be able to allow people to have just more

than five episodes to catch up on. CW was like,

yeah, no. So it basically came to an impasse.

So essentially that deal, the CW Hulu in -season

deal, according to the article, will end in October.

So basically right before the new seasons start,

or right as the new seasons start. Great. So

before we go just to the next break with the...

a different topic of a particular film in sound.

That's why I'm saying before. There's a couple

of nice little things that have been dropped,

and these are just quick headline reads. Arrow

is going to be welcoming Young Justice's Artemis

to Star City, who will be played by the same

person who impersonated the Black Canary. Oh,

cool. So that's that's one thing to look forward

to an arrow considering everybody's left the

team except for Oliver yeah, yeah and The arrow

suit and this is like as of three hours ago.

We'll be getting an upgrade Yet again probably

more in tune with the rebirth costume. I'm guessing

probably yeah So Yeah, so they'll probably that

and then there's of course The flash will be

doing flashpoint Mm -hmm for season 3 so that'll

get really interesting Jeffrey Dean Morgan who's

played on supernatural as John Winchester mm

-hmm has stated that he would like to play flashpoint

Batman mm -hmm if they have it Which would be

interesting if they actually did manage to do

that. Yeah and have him as maybe the bad guy

or something Which would be different Although

he really wouldn't be so I don't know it'd be

really weird, but I think it could work out And

then they've cast Superman for Supergirl yeah,

Tyler Hoechlin Teen Wolf yay, yeah And Linda

Carter is President of the United States on Supergirl

Season 2 as well. And then on Gotham, they recast

Poison Ivy for Season 3. You know, these recasts,

especially this recast news, that does not surprise

me at all. Because the other girl was too scrawny

and meek to play the full -blown Poison Ivy.

It's not even that. It wasn't that she was too

scrawny and meek. She's too young. So what I

think is they're going to age up the character,

which is fine. I mean... Don't mind the recast

at all because I assume with the recast they

are aging the character up And if you look at

various television things in the past with characters

and stuff like that Casting changes be you know

because characters or actors get older and whatever

else or what you know so that doesn't bother

me at all Yeah, I'm fine with it, but I think

that poison ivy is gonna take more of a cemented

rule next season good less neat and The more

poisons ivy steps up the more fish mooney can

step off a cliff Yeah, that would be nice Maybe

she maybe poison ivy dies and she gets in and

gets resurrected with her plant powers could

be That they they've done weirder things. I mean

look look at fish mooney. She's basically what's

that? Assassin that's got the I don't know Oh,

I think I know who Fish Mooney is turning into.

But it's one of the assassins from Arkham Origins

that they had. I can't remember her name, but

I think it's the same chick. So yeah, that would

be cool. So yeah, there's a new Transformers

show. Wait, what? Yeah, Combiner Wars series.

They've given some screenshots. You haven't seen

that? No. Yeah, it's none of the notes. I just

got it. It was from four hours ago. So they're

gonna feature the Gestalt robots. And they've

got, it's basically, the animation's very similar

to the retro cell shaded art of Devastation,

the video game. So they're replacing RID? No,

this is a completely different thing. Okay. This

is by Hasbro machinima. Oh Okay, I thought okay,

and it's aimed at older collectors and fans like

us. Yeah, okay So Starscream looks pretty awesome

in this they got wing blade. They got wind blade

not wing blade. I Said wing boy. No, it's wind

blade I'm calling her we win wing boy. It's called

wind blade. There's a different. I know I know

don't call her wing blade color by her actual

damn mom and So it says basically they're going

to be identical to their 1980s version, just

cell shaded. And the storyline is not connected

to a specific prior continuity, instead it's

being framed as a pseudo -sequel to a hypothetical

alternate G1 setup with the Autobots and Decepticons

returning to Cybertron following the Great War.

Optimus and Megatron are thus far referred to

in the past tense, with the main plot involving

an uneasy peace being threatened by the emergence

of a new breed of Transformer called the Combiners.

So my guess is if they show up, they'll show

up late. So yeah, it should be interesting, because

you're going to have the Constructed Cons, Aerial

Boss, Terra Cons, and others in that variation.

So yeah, I'm looking forward to it, especially

for a more adult in tone transformers. That's

actually what we want. Yes. Instead of the the

babers and whatnot. Mm -hmm. So there's one thing

I'm afraid of and it ain't no ghost. So with

that we'll be back after this. What are you gonna

call? This is your brain. And this is your brain

on the GeekCast Radio Network. So, Ghostbusters,

the new theme song by fellowed boy featuring

Missy Elliott. Any questions? No. No, thank you.

Return to sender. Return to sender. Can I say

that? Like, is that legal in a podcast? Return

to sender and dress unknown. That's a part of

the song somewhere. Okay. Yeah. So, all right.

I saw that. I don't know where I saw this first

on Facebook when we were... were recording this.

I wasn't sure where I saw it first, but I saw

it earlier this morning, and I was like, all

right, I'll give it a try. What I like about

the Fallout Boy Missy Elliot theme is I like

the instrumental, the music behind the vocals.

I love that. I think that's great. But Fallout

Boy and Missy Elliot, they're just not, no, I

just do not like their vocals. I do not like

them, Sam, I am. I will not watch this garbage

can. a updated, similar sounding version to the

classic... The one that's in the trailer? Yeah,

the one that's in the trailer. Just the instrumental.

And that sounds great. I absolutely love that.

But the Fall Out Boy Missy Elliott one, I'm like,

why? I know everybody in the world loves Pete

Wentz in Fall Out Boy, but why? Everybody must

puke. I'm not afraid. I'm not afraid. You should

be afraid of internet hate It's funny because

all the resources have been beaten that song

up because it's just they're like no no I Mean

I get it the new I mean I get it word we're hating

at it cuz it's a new it's not no no like like

I said it does like I said It's it I think it's

because they try and mix the way that it it's

mixed. I just yeah Well, I don't know like I

said what I like about it is the actual musical

instrumental part So if you took the vocals out,

I'd be fine with it. It'd be great the problem

I have with the vocals is they try to Homage

the original Ray Parker jr. But they also add

in fallout boy. Whoever the hell writes their

lyrics Pete Wentz or whoever the hell Adds in

this we are not afraid stuff and this that anything

and then Missy Elliott comes in the middle with

some rap Crap that I don't even know what half

the crap. She said I I just don't get it. I really

just don't get it It's like we're stuck in the

Twilight Zone do you do do do do do? Speaking

of Twilight Zones Star Trek. Oh boy your favorite

Yeah, this is my can of worms today. Oh boy.

I just need somebody to bounce this off of to

see if I'm being a psychotic fanboy or if I'm

being legit in my thoughts. Paramount and CBS

are still suing the Star Trek fan film Axanar,

which I found to be humorous after J .J. Abrams

was like, oh no, we're all done. It's good, it's

good. And this happened in May. Yeah, the wrath

of their studio lawyers are just and this was

as of like 617 but uh They were saying within

the next few weeks. It will be announced This

is going away and fans will be able to work on

their projects which was code for This is the

actual the actual thing that's going on So in

a way that they didn't have to continue their

their lawsuit. They came up with a set of rules

because they were being unclear on what was going

to exactly happen. So CVS Paramount Pictures

came out with their more or less ultimatum of

what we're allowed to do as fans, which I found

to be belittling and demeaning. or just so they

don't have to click between multiple links. I'm

going to pull up my own article I wrote about

this earlier because I was fired up. Yes, yes

you were. I call it the WTF of 2016, Star Trek

50th anniversary. So if you want the full details

on it, it's on the main page of the website.

Go check that out. But I said basically with

the 50th anniversary of Star Trek overhead. and

being nostalgic and saying that, yes, the 2009

film is great. I'm thinking Beyond will be great.

Into Darkness was a train wreck, and I wasn't

going to attack that again. But the on -again,

off -again lawsuit is kind of belittling to fans.

And then the fact that they're saying we can

do them, but you have to do what we tell you.

Right. Which I find to be a little irritating.

From the fan perspective because they're this

is this is their guidelines They have like ten

rules with a bunch of little asterisks and things

that you have to jump through You know for one

they said you know must be less than 15 minutes

for a single self -contained story No more than

two segments episodes or parts not to exceed

30 minutes total with no additional seasons episodes

part sequels or remix yeah My issue with that

is what if somebody wants to do like a traditional

hour -long episode of Star Trek? or do a special

movie of it. I'm playing point -counterpoint

in this one. I'm like this whole article. But

I get the seasons thing. That makes total sense.

But if you wanted to do a one -off episode of

an hour or something, or 45 minutes, why not?

I don't see how... In the remakes... Who cares

if they want to do it like a redub or a reshoot

of the same episode, right? You know, it's not

hurting them people are still gonna watch the

original actual show and if they're doing like

a sequel series or or prequel series in a film

Who cares like I mean, it's not hurting anybody

as long as they're acknowledging. They don't

own the rights to it But anyways mark number

two it says the title of the fan production or

any parts can I include the name Star Trek? Which

I agree it should not Because they don't own

that right And they're saying that the subtitle

must say the phrase, A Star Trek Fan Production.

Oh, OK. Whoa, whoa, whoa. OK, so wait, wait,

wait. Let me get signal. So if they said, Axanar,

A Star Trek Fan Production, as the subtitle.

But Star Trek is still in the title overall.

But they're saying it cannot be in the title.

It must be in the subtitle. There's a difference.

Right. No, and I understand that. Oh, okay, so

let's say, for example, let's say... Well, they're

mostly hitting at, like, Star Trek renegades.

Right, no, I understand that. I understand that.

But let's just say a title would be something

like... The Destruction of Vulcan, a Star Trek

fan film. That's still having Star Trek in the

title! Yeah, but they're saying that you have

to have it as a subtitle, not in the title. They

would flag it because it's in the title rather

than the subtitle. I'm so glad I'm not. I am

a... a hangar on to the Trekkie thing. I'm so

glad I'm not into that fandom all the way at

all. You can hear how my irritation. The content

in the fan production must be original, not reproductions,

recreations, or clips from any Star Trek production,

which primarily they aren't. They're all pretty

much original. It says, if non -Star Trek third

party content is used, all necessary permissions

for any third party content should be obtained

in writing from original's resource basically.

So yeah, that I could kind of see. If they're

doing their own thing, yeah, I get it. The next

thing says... And this is the one that it kind

of irks me a little bit and I'll get to why.

It says, if the fan production uses commercially

available Star Trek uniforms, accessories, toys

and props, these items must be official merchandise

and not bootleg items or imitations of such commercially

available products. Basically saying if you don't

buy it from us, you can't use it. Because they

have like this guy, Scott Nicotta, like that

Birdman Dodds talked about that makes props for

pretty much all these fan films. And then they've

got other guys that produce stuff that have been

involved with Trek. They're saying if it doesn't

come officially from CBS Paramount's official

store, you can't use it, which is like a money

grab. Yep, pretty much. So I see why they're

doing it, to get you to buy their stuff exclusively,

but it's also kind of... Yeah, it's kind of hindering

at the same time. It's acidine is what it is.

Yeah, you'll hear more of that as I get through

this list. The fan production must be a real

fan production, i .e. creators, actors, and all

other participants must be amateurs, cannot be

compensated for their services, and cannot be

currently or previously employed on any Star

Trek series, films, productions of DVDs, or with

any of CBS or Paramount Pictures' licensees.

In other words, if you've been an actor on it,

or if you've been... They can't get old Kirk,

they can't get young Kirk, they can't get young

Spock, they can't get... Well, they can't get

Chekhov, who was in one of them. They can't get

Tuvok. None of those actors can actually participate,

which is kind of demeaning to them because they're

fans of the stuff as well. And I feel like because

they've created it and want to be involved with

Star Trek in some capacity with new stories,

and CBS Paramount have been dragging their feet

for years, that they were getting the chance

to do it on their own. with the fans and Basically

get told nope suck it it doesn't matter if you're

you're a truck fan You know and you've you've

been in the franchise before if you're not working

for us. You're not doing it yeah This whole thing

is just so disheartening It yeah, like I said

it continues to get worse throughout this thing

like it says it must be non -commercial so like

If you're gonna do the fundraising it says You

can't total The total must not exceed $50 ,000.

If it does, all fundraising must cease. Fan production

must be exhibited or distributed on a no charge

basis, which that I get. It cannot be distributed

on physical format like DVD or Blu -ray, which

I kind of get. Cannot derive advertising revenue.

With it, no unlicensed Star Trek related or fan

production related merchandise can be offered

for sale. It says the fan production cannot derive

revenue by selling or licensing fan -created

production sets, props, or costumes. This whole

article, this whole thing that they published

today is so demeaning to the fans. I felt like

they were slapping me in the face the whole time.

It's like saying, yeah, you can be a fan within

our guidelines. This would be like Michael Bay

saying, you can't pay attention to anything that's

previously come out of Transformers, only my

stuff. It's still like they're saying it has

to be family -friendly, which that's pretty much

Trek anyway. It pretty much has to be. They're

saying that the fan production must display the

disclaimer and the on -screen credits of the

fan productions, and then they physically give

them... the disclaimer, you know, of which to

post. Yeah. It says creators of fan productions

must not seek to register their works or elements

of works. No copyright or trademark. Wait, wait,

wait, wait. So like if you created like a new

planet or a new aliens or new characters, you

can't copyright any of that because it's associated

with them. OK, right. Fine. But so you're telling

me if you myself. Kevin up to the solo and Let's

say art Dan or Mike powers or wherever, you know,

you you know, Joe Reed whoever all of us go out

We make a Star Trek fan film Okay, we essentially

Create all new stuff for it You know take various

things from that are allowed from the Star Trek

universe Like planet names and stuff like that

if that's allowed You mean we can't actually

copyright the title of the damn thing or we just

can't copyright creations that are inside of

it? Nothing to do with it. Oh my god. So if I

added my Altered Generations characters to it

and I put them on a ship and I... I did this

stuff, then they could basically just tell me,

nope, you can't do that because it's associated

with Star Trek. Okay, so this whole thing, this

whole article, all these guidelines, all as I

keep thinking of, and I know you're not gonna

get this, but there's an episode of Phineas and

Ferb where they finally get busted. Candice finally

gets her wish. They end up going to a reformatory

camp, and you have Clancy Brown as the drill

sergeant. Basically trying to beat the fun out

of them and the imagination out of them He just

keeps squirting them with a water gun saying

no no no no no until Phineas and Ferb finally

break down and lose their Imaginations and all

that stuff. That's essentially what this article

is for Star Trek fans It's just it's just CBS

and Paramount saying no no they're being a bully

So so it gets worse This is on blaster .com earlier

today, too. They say They reached out to the

cast and crew of Axanar, and then they get an

update. They said the executive producer of Axanar,

Alec Peter, has released his official statement.

It says, after a review of CBS and Paramount's

announcement of their guidelines for Star Trek

fan films, I'm really disappointed that this

set of guidelines represents the studio. best

efforts on behalf of fans. These guidelines appear

to have been tailor -made to shut down all of

the major fan productions and stifle fandom.

In no way can that be seen as supportive or encouraging,

which is very disheartening. While CBS and Paramount

claim to want to encourage the passion of fans

to produce reasonable fan fiction, The restrictions

resented do just the opposite, willfully ignoring

over 40, well, it's 50 years of fan works that

helped buoy the Star Trek franchise through some

very lean years and enthusiastically spread the

magic of the franchise in more plentiful times.

Around the franchise's 50th anniversary, we would

have hoped that CPS and Paramount would have

taken this opportunity to unite with Star Trek

fans in celebration of their creativity, not

to crush it. And I think you summed it up perfectly

in that, but I have my own thoughts on what Paramount

CDS could have done in lieu of these BS rules.

And I have seven of them, so it's not very long.

I mean, it's less than theirs. But put a division

together. CBS Paramount division that is sanctioned

for fan films with some funding from them Much

like a film incentive for like a state for movies,

right? And do this is a method of grooming for

future actors and crew on Star Trek productions

So they could still produce this the stuff and

it would be a fan Still a fan thing, but it would

be sanctioned by CBS Paramount so they could

still do it so they but they could get funding

directly from them to essentially use their equipment

there you know as far as like the uniforms and

the weapons and all that the props you know stuff

like that so they can essentially still do it

but get the blessing of cbs paramount at the

same time yeah um the other thing i had was allow

the actors and crew of past productions to work

on the projects because again they're fans and

it would help the ranks of those to come and

still be fans themselves. They could do and then

my number three monetize the fan projects and

it's a little moral gray area but much like YouTube

does with claims on the copyright material if

a fan film wants to do a Star Trek film slash

series slash one -off allow the videos to be

monetized by CBS Paramount but put half the money

back into the short film fan production division.

Basically, they could fuel it from the monetization

to fund the fan projects and still they would

make half of the profit back anyway. When you're

saying this, all I can think of is the Apple

deal with developers. Apple says developers can

get 70 % and Apple gets 30%. It's a 70 -30 split.

This would allow Groups like acts and are in

the end renegades and these guys that have these

really good fan films to continue With CBS Paramount's

blessing and the fact that they would still get

to capitalize on the fact that CBS Paramount

You know, maybe you you'd have to give up rights

to the characters that you created right to CBS

Paramount as part of it But you would be technically

a part of that family, but you would be basically

like a Star Wars extended universe Mm -hmm So

which is my other thing that I said, you know,

keep it unofficial. Yes, it would be helped by

them, you know, for the fans, but it would still

need to kind of remain like an extended universe,

you know, so to still be separate, but still

exist. And then and then I have like, you know,

if they wanted to sell these on DVDs, you know,

same thing with the monetization. They could,

you know, give put half the profits back into

the fund. That I mentioned and then the studio

would make half of it back. So it'd still be

a win -win, right? And then of course remember

the damn fans because they've forgotten That

there's 50 years of fans Putting their money

their hard -earned money into the toys the games

the cards the movies the comics the you know

The TV series in it for how many times it keeps

getting remastered coming out. I mean This was

just kind of my thoughts on what they could have

done like I don't know if I'm Justified or if

I'm you know, but I feel like we've been all

slapped in the face for being Trek fans Whereas,

you know, at least with Star Wars they don't

do that to their fans Like I just I don't know

I was so like yeah, I Know everyone in the comments

gonna be like to you if you do I'm like, why

are you saying all this? You probably don't even

I care because it's not just about specifically

Star Trek fan films. Because it could be any

franchise. Right, it could be any franchise that

they could do this to. And it's like full censorship

over what we love. I mean, yeah, like I said

before earlier in this episode, I'm pretty much

a Trek fan that is kind of like on the outskirts.

I'm a casual Trek fan. I know a lot of the stuff.

from my mom growing up and a lot of stuff from

you and from other Trek fans that we know and

talk to and podcast with, but this whole thing,

this isn't, if CBS and Paramount get this to

go through and are allowed to keep these guidelines,

that could influence every other television film

industry person by saying the same thing. So

basically no fan films for anything could ever

be made ever again. And and that's and I feel

like that's harmful and impactful that that I

feel like if this precedent gets set They're

all gonna pull this one. So like you're never

gonna see like any of the the Transformers side

projects people do you're never gonna see any

of the you know Anything like really I mean they

could shut down fandoms they could shut down

like it which all these companies pretty much

tolerate They just monetize Because that's what

Hasbro does with like the headmaster stuff that

I'm a part of they they monetize the videos because

it's their video, but It's our vocals But we

get to keep it online with that precedent set

which is fine because we still get to do what

we want You know, so that's why I was kind of

mentioning this with the the Star Trek thing

because I Feel like they're going to screw A

series that has not had a television series since

2005, that's 11 years, and has had mediocre films,

despite the stuff that's come out. I mean, yeah,

they may have made money, but they haven't really

been all that great. The 2009's was pretty good.

This just leaves me with a bitter taste towards

the new show. I mean, I'm going to be optimistic

for the new show because I want to... I am too.

Because it's going to be 13 episodes, like we

mentioned before. It's going to be in a new direction.

They haven't stated what universe with the Prime

or the Alternate, but they haven't stated specifically.

They've mentioned that it could be the Prime

universe, which would be great. And I'll give

it a shot. I'm not gonna pay for CBS's app. I'll

download the episodes I don't care if it screws

the show because they're doing this to the fans

right now. Yeah I wish it was on cable because

I'd rather watch it there. I would actually watch

it live but like to me this is I Feel like this

is a big fail between these two companies like

just screwing everybody This is the kind of thing

that I wish like the whole TV series thing wish

CBS Paramount would have gotten a deal with Hulu

or with Netflix because It would have been more

beneficial, but what's the whole show right?

Well, we're at the point now where every Television

studio no matter who it is could be anybody Wants

their own app and wants everybody to go to their

own app or their own You know website or whatever

to watch content, and I'm thinking Why not just

use Hulu or Netflix, whichever one you want to

use, whether you want to do a full season all

at once or whether you want to do it, you know,

episodes the next day. You know, I just, I'm

excited for the new show to see what happens

with it because we haven't seen. So the last

Star Trek series was what? Enterprise in 2005.

So it's been 11 years, right? Yeah. So. Wasn't

that thrilled with enterprise whatever I'm not

gonna go into that but I just just I wasn't that

thrilled with it I like next generation. Obviously

we grew up in next generation. I like deep space

9 I am excited to see what all the technology

we have now in 2016 will do for A Star Trek show

in this day and age JJ Abrams brought back the

movies with really cool Actors for the classic

characters as much as most people including you

are Enraged about into darkness I am It wasn't

as good as the 2009 movie, but I didn't Automatically

hate it because I don't have the same love for

wrath of Khan as everybody else in the friggin

world does So I'm excited for Beyond. I'm excited

for this new TV series But the way that they're

approaching the fans and the way that they're

approaching marketing this new TV series That's

what I'm against because it's just that whole

fan stuff. That's ridiculous. That's just It's

just sad yeah, so So yeah, I think with that

Will We'll be back after this quick break at

least I will with the altered geek Or alter gaming

section, so I'll be back after this Hello and

welcome back to the altered gaming section of

the podcast What had happened is Obviously as

I mentioned earlier in the show there's times

where I just don't feel like recording the time

of the event so I more or less record it later

on from my phone and So yeah, that's what's gonna

happen here and I'm gonna cover the e3 stuff.

I normally would have Birdman Dot on however

Again because I didn't record this last night.

It wasn't going to happen that way I'm actually

recording at the date of release of the podcast

so it dates it a little bit more, but That's

neither here nor there so Kind of getting this

whole thing out of the way there was a lot of

great stuff announced at at E3 some things not

so much some things that were Some things that

had me excited some things not so much so So

yeah the There's I guess I should just start

out with like the things I did like about E3

I watched a lot of the stuff I watched some of

the stuff as far as like some of the games that

I'm looking forward to Like they released the

information on the Xbox one slim said it's gonna

be more powerful, and it's gonna be About a third

smaller or something or two -thirds smaller than

what it is now or half the size But it's still

not enough to entice me to buy it now if they

said it was like gonna be a hundred bucks I'd

probably go out and get it But I just I can't

warrant $300 plus it seems like a slap in the

face that people had already bought the Xbox

PlayStation did not do this method so I applaud

them on that because they weren't doing a quick

cash grab for You know year -and -a -half old

console But they're saying that the Xbox one

ass is gonna be 299 comes out in August Again,

I'm not gonna be picking it up So Yeah, that's

90 here and right there um So they released another

battlefield one ET trailer they showed there

was some battlefield footage of the We've had

a 45 minute gameplay with stone mountain 64 and

need needs Teams against each other and stone

mountains teams won both games. The footage was

great. I Loved the aspect of being able to spawn

right into the vehicles. I Mean a lot of it's

very similar to battlefield for but you actually

get to see yourself like you get to see like

a 3D visual of the overview of the map instead

of that kind of like old -school map that you'd

see in a lot of first -person shooters and you

get like kind of a realistic view of it and get

to dive right into the vehicle and you have the

opportunity to be shot as you're climbing into

the vehicles which is something different too.

The footage looks great, the visuals of it, the

explosions of things, the way that the gear and

the World War I type of setup for everything

is. Yeah, it was just a spectacular game just

from that trailer. Then we got some Mass Effect

Andromeda information. We got a trailer for that.

It didn't really show all that much. I mean,

it showed a little bit. It said it was going

to be different and a different universe. Basically,

it's going to have no ties to the previous Mass

Effect games. They're getting rid of the Paragon

and Renegade systems. It's going to be a totally

different experience, but I think that it's going

to be very fun to play. I was a fan of the last

Mass Effect, so again, another game I'm looking

forward to. They're saying that Battlefield 1

Going back to that is no battle will ever be

the same which it looks very much like things

change in it. They announced Halo Wars 2 that'll

be out next year and they're gonna have beta

for that now and I'm not huge into Halo but I

get I think that it's cool that they're still

doing that and they had the beta going during

e3 And then there were various streams like you

had stuff You know like Bethesda you had Sony

Sony had less talking and more trailers of stuff

coming Which was almost better because they didn't

have some awkward guy talking like the entire

time They've announced like another Tekken game.

They've announced That if you buy a game once

on Xbox, it's got play anywhere so you can play

it on Xbox one or Windows 10 which I think that

is very enticing because the possibilities with

that are that you only have to buy the game once

and For me, that's a big plus considering how

much games cost now And I don't have an Xbox

one, but if I did It would be nice because I

could technically play it through streaming from

the Xbox One to the PC or vice versa and get

the experience of the game. So I definitely think

that's a plus that I'm looking forward to. And

then they showed off a new Spider -Man game.

It's got a new suit. It looks pretty cool. It's

for PlayStation. Again, it's just, the things

that were coming out were just beautifully designed

and displayed. They showed a new Legend of Zelda

Breath of the Wild gameplay footage, which is

very, that cel -shaded kind of look, but it looks

cool. They're saying Crash Bandicoot will return

to PlayStation with new remasters. For those

that are fans of Crash Bandicoot, although they

should just come up with new games instead of

remastering. Yeah, I'm just gonna leave that

there Sony reveals more PlayStation virtual reality

information details and release dates and They

showed off a lot of games that use it two of

which being Star Trek and You know being Star

Trek and in Batman Arkham which I'm Very enticed

by if if there was a decision between getting

an Xbox one or a ps4 I Would almost based on

the VR stuff have to side with PlayStation because

their headset looks very much like a I Mean it's

a headset. It's got the goggles that go over

your eyes But they're saying like Star Wars Battlefront

and Final Fantasy 15 are going to have the capability

to do the VR. They said it's going to be over

50 games at launch for the VR. They're saying

it's going to come out October 13, 2016 for the

PlayStation. And they showed off a lot of the

experience with it. I saw the footage of like,

I mean, the Batman VR, they didn't really tell

all that much. It just had Batman and then they

had Mark Hamill doing the Joker behind it, kind

of talking, which... Mark Hamill doing the Joker

was very grabbing for me for that. But it's going

to be another Arkham game, but it's going to

be virtual reality instead. And then, kind of,

siding into the Star Trek side of the VR, they're

going to have, like, it's bridge commander type

of setup, and they've got Dan LeVar Burton, they

had Carl Urban, and then they had the actress

that played Seven of Nine. portraying the game,

and LeVar Burton just fell back into it like

he was just in Star Trek again. He was able to

articulate everything the same way, and he was

pulling it off, and Karl Urban's like, hey, he's

good. More or less. It looked pretty good. I

mean, it wasn't that great of detail in the game,

but it was very... You got the 360 view. You

could turn around and look around in the game.

It's very interactive, it basically puts you

there, like you're actually there. So you have

to play with the controls, you have to look at

other people in the game, it's very interactive.

And to me, that's very, very awesome. I can't

wait for the day where we get a holodeck, where

we can actually just walk in a room, and it does

all of this, and we can play the games that way.

it's it's getting closer all the time so I mean

each little step so then we get telltale games

showing off the new Batman game which gives you

a chance to play more as Batman and Bruce Wayne

collectively the animation on it looks great

it looks it kind of looks akin to the like Arkham

Origins in color palette in style so I'm I don't

know, I'll give that a shot. I'll see how that

turns out. Because I assume that that will also

be on the PC. I'm not 100 % on that, but time

will tell. And then of course they show the Injustice

Gods Among Us 2 gameplay with Batman versus Supergirl.

And then they've got all the Justice League fighting,

according to the first trailer. So, I don't know,

there's a lot of great stuff coming out of E3.

I know there's a lot of stuff I didn't cover.

This was just stuff that specifically grabbed

to me. Because there was like a lot of stuff

that came up so So yeah, just be sure to check

that stuff out and I guess I'll wrap it up because

Mike and I had a nice lengthy discussion on Star

Trek and my thoughts on that and What did you

guys think about the episode like I did you like

how things kind of played out this time doing

more of a? a topical approach to the news and

kind of doing a headline read rather than sitting

there going, what's your thoughts on all of this?

What's blah, blah, blah? I'm just looking for

a little bit of constructive criticism and feedback

on it. Also, in the meantime, there will be,

coming this August, we're gonna do the GCRN wars

tournament of the 90s villains. So... You guys

have a specific list of villains that you'd like

me to consider for that because I do have a list

put together It's a 32 villain bracket Just so

that I can compare and contrast because there's

like one or two that I would probably swap out

if If there were some better suggestions, so

if you want to drop that the comments below go

ahead and do that Because again, I want this

to be the most dynamic 90s villains tournament

Because we had a lot of those during the 90s

so Some more memorable than others, but again.

I want to make this the best list possible And

have them combating appropriately so So do that

and if there's something you guys would want

to hear us talk about for next week's show Let

me know because I'm I'm looking for suggestions

and You know maybe some questions that could

spark some some awesome topics I've been having

a lot of fun trying to find things that get me

fired up as a geek and make me wanting to talk

about. Lately I've been finding myself doing

that a lot more even though I feel like I'm nitpicking

to some degree on some things. Some things I

feel passionate about such as the Star Trek thing

that happened earlier in the show. but uh Yeah,

so uh I guess we'll talk to you guys next week

and coming in a couple weeks They'll be like

a little break because I'll be going on vacation

for a week I'll let you guys know the week before

that happens, but uh We're still on target for

episode 150 which will be in the first week of

August Just like the original air date of the

show and the original air date of all things

transformers the original show So we'll be hitting

our big 150 episode and three year anniversary.

So if there's anything you guys want to submit

for that Feel free to do that from now until

the end of July and I will include it in the

podcast I'm thinking about doing a live show

too for like kind of a live Q &A maybe I'm Google

Hangouts and if I if I go forward with that for

the episode 150 I would be more than welcome

to having guests interact and whatnot on the

show through that. And I would of course post

the information weeks prior of when the plan

is going down for that. Maybe find a day that's

mutually acceptable by everybody. I typically

record Thursdays at 10, 10 .30 at night because

of it's just the ease of days and time. But I

could switch it to another day if I needed to

to record it and upload it. I would essentially

try and work as many people's schedules into

it as I could. I still would have to go at about

10 o 'clock because of maybe a little bit earlier,

but because of my family stuff. Yeah, so I hope

you guys loved this episode. Leave your comments

and suggestions below. And as always, I've been
